I ordered a few items of Amazon.com, 3 items to be exact. I was given a Delivery Confirmation number by Amazon.com, and an expected delivery date. I placed my order on February 11, 2009 and according to the USPS, my package was delivered on the February 12, 2009! It has been 5 days now since the supposed delivery, and I am still waiting a response. The item was not insured. I am awaiting a comment from Amazon.com regarding this matter. As it stands right now I am out $42.68!

All my mails are not delivered. He/she is holding my mails because he/she requested to place my name in the mail box by hand writing, but his/her handwriting was terrible that I was not able to read/understand what it was said. I tried to figure and communicate with him/her by leaving message in my mail box to make sure what he/she was trying to say to me. I placed my name in the mail box, but still nothing delivered. I left message why not? Now he/she is saying the box is full. Pick them up at the station. I work long hours so that I am not able to go pick them up. I requested to deliver them to my work location. And then Route 26 left message on my cell said "Call this number 212-645-0327 between 7am and 10 am," but I am not able to take/make any personal calls during business hours. I called them using my lunch break, but the person took my call, just hanged up without saying anything.

For months my incoming mail has either been returned to sender or put in the wrong mailbox. Although I still get some mail on occasions, it's like a chess game. So, I finally called USPS customer care because I found out that my STATE I.D. had been returned to the DMV and I'm supposing I need that. The agent asked me to give her the reason for the return provided by the DMV and when I went to try and find it she told me she doesn't have time and I need to call back later. I hung up and called to make a complaint only to have a second agent say they're only allowed 60 seconds for a response and that I couldn't make a complaint.

I sent an overnight package to Depew New York. It arrived there today at 9:30 and has just been riding around in a truck all day without being delivered. I called to speak to a supervisor and all he (Jared) could tell me would be to file a complaint. They are getting another postal increase in May and can't deliver on time as promised what they have. Yet they are so rude to their customers and just keep repeating the same stuff over and over again like a robot. They should just shut the postal service down as they aren't worth anything. Now I have to be inconvenienced for a package still among the missing. Why pay for services when you can't get what you paid for.

On February 4th, 2009, I went to the Northport, AL Post Office and experienced very poor service. I believe that I was discriminated against because of my race. My husband who is a ** American had our mail forwarded from our previous address in Tuscaloosa, AL to our new address in Northport, AL. Both our names are registered in this new address. I went to the Northport Post office because my sister sent my dad who was visiting me a priority certified letter. I gave the Post office assistant the tracking number and she told me there was not a letter there under that name for that address and she also said that they had attempted to deliver it but no one was home and they left a notice on my mailbox. This was not true because I was home the whole day and there was not a notice on my mailbox.
I called my sister to make sure she had given me all the correct tracking number and she said she even called the Post office where she lives and they told her the letter was in the Northport Post office. I got in line again and this time another Post office assistant helped me. She told me the same thing except she brought a scanner to show me how they use them in front of everybody. I don't know why she had to do that because what I needed was to know where our mail was at. Then she asked me if I wanted to speak to Rusty, the supervisor, because she had other people to help.
I stood there waiting for the supervisor for about ten minutes. Finally, he comes out and asks me if I had received a yellow slip in the mailbox saying it was attempted to be delivered and I told him no. He then takes my tracking number and goes inside, he comes back out and tells me that the person tried to deliver my mail must have pressed the wrong button on the scanner that morning and that it was too early at 9 in the morning for him to be delivering anyway, and finally he said that he must have returned the envelope back to the sender. I was upset because him being the supervisor did not even tell me that the certified envelope was there along with the rest of my mail. When I got home, I told my husband and he went to the Northport Post office that very same day and they gave him all our mail including the certified envelope that was there all the time. It's not right for them to have treated me rude, make me wait long, lie to me, and not give me anything.

I am not receiving my mail. I have not moved and lived in my apartment for over 5 years. I called my local post office and the individual I spoke with took my name and phone number and never called back. So I called back again 2 days later and the woman that answered the phone said there is no reason she can see why I am not receiving my mail. I have lots of bills. I called all of my credit card and loan providers, got the balance I owed and wrote them a letter with my payment advising that I am not receiving any mail at all. I wrote 8 letters. This includes the local Gas Company. It has now almost been a month. I need help and cannot receive it from the local postal service.

I would like to inform you of my dissatisfaction with the United States Postal Service in priority mailing. My mom has shipped me the package on 01/20/2009 at Midway City Post Office in California to me at The Colony, TX 75056. After she went home, my mom noticed the receipt showed the package is to be delivered to Pennington, TX 75856. She called me and I have told her that it's the wrong address. Immediately, she called the USPS and asked. USPS told her she needs to bring in the receipt. 20 minutes later, my mom arrived at the USPS in Midway City, CA. She didn't see the lady (whose name is Cathy), who has has helped my mom before.
So my mom asked the gentleman behind the counter about the receipt (my mom thought this guy is Cathy's son because he looked like her and he was not in uniform. He is **, about 25 years old, curly hair and in a dark blue shirt). He had told my mom that the receipt is correct. USPS had to send to Pennington because that is the headquarter of TX, and then Pennington will send it to The Colony. Until now, 2/3/09, I have not received the package.

On January 15 I used USPS services to ship a package to Belarus using International Express Mail service and paid $143.75. Tracking number **. My package was shipped to Malaysia instead of Belarus. I have tried USPS local post office as well as the International Mail Inquiry center (800-222-1811) - all I got from them is, "We are truly sorry, but we can not reimburse you for this service, even though we understand that we send it to a wrong country."
I did get my package back on January 31, but USPS doesn't want to give me $143.75 back, which I have paid to them to ship my package to Belarus. This is totally outrageous - I have never heard of that! All I found on USPS site is that Express Mail International items are not insured against delay in delivery. Neither indemnity payments nor postage refunds will be made in case of delay. But this has nothing to do with delay in delivery - the package was never even attempted to be delivered to Belarus; it was shipped to a wrong country by USPS' mistake.

I have been living in the same apt for 3 years but for the past 1 1/2 years I have had problems with my mail. I was subscribing to magazines that were coming all torn up or not at all. Then I went 3 months without credit card statements or receiving a new credit card. I contacted the credit card company and found out that it was returned. I have contacted the postmaster at the post office and the supervisor who oversees this dept. And they send me a piece of mail stating that my mail is getting delivered. Well really because they go in a locked box and I am not receiving my statements. It is not the same statements every month.
I am tired of paying late fees on my bills and I am also tired of the run around from the Post office. There has been several times I have gotten someone else's mail and taken it to them. How do I not know my mail is going elsewhere and someone is just throwing it out? Is there anything I can do legally to get my mail? I figured that I have the right to receive my mail. I am still missing 3 Christmas cards from 2008 that family members sent me, and yes they have the correct address with the apt # on it - that is the same question the supervisor at the post office asks me.

I have bad arthritis so I shoveled what I could for him a patch from sidewalk to mailbox seeing that he still walks past everyday with no problem and doesn't leave any mail. SO I called the post office. The lady that answers the phone every day was very rude. Told me to borrow a shovel and some salt and that I couldn't pick up my mail (It's mine)??? And that it would be sent back. I'm trying to understand if he can walk past on the snow that isn't shoveled every day, why can't he walk up a short drive way that is shoveled???? Doesn't make any sense. Then he told me he brought the junk mail as a courtesy???

Mail has not been delivered for 5 days on my street. I contacted the Post Office in my town and asked why no one on this road was getting mail. Gentleman said carriers were working 10 hours a day and that was all they could do. I explained to him I should not go without my mail for that period of a time, tomorrow is Sunday, do I just cross my fingers and hope I get a week's worth on Monday? He said that they couldn't do anything besides wait and get it when it is delivered. I asked if he had an employee number. He said no. I asked for his last name and he said he did not have to give that out. I asked for his supervisor and then I was told that I could not speak to anyone, that he was a supervisor. I feel if he was a supervisor then he would have at least looked into my mail not being delivered, instead of telling me to wait for it.

Stopped delivering our mail because she couldn't drive up 2 from the mailbox to place in mailbox. We called to complain. They stated snow too far in front of mailbox. Snow plow had just plowed area & knocked off our mailboxes from plowing too close. We just replaced the mailbox & secured very tightly this time so this wouldn't happen again. Both Ourselves & the newspaper delivery can drive right up to mailbox & get into them. That day after talking to Nancy, our mail was delivered with a note & our mailbox was ripped off our stand with the mail in it & thrown in the snow. If a plow would have done this, the mailbox would have been force backed just like before. This was lying next to our stand. I have a heart condition & cannot be digging through clumps of ice so our service delivery person doesn't have to stick her arm out the window to put mail in it. She may have to reach an arm's length but she can still drop the mail off into the mailbox without getting out of her vehicle. We pay for this service with our tax dollars. Thank you.

Have not received mail in over a week! I finally called because this was ridiculous, just to find out that the mail carrier states that she could not reach my mailbox because of the snow. Now I live in Michigan, there is always snow, and there is always gonna be snow piled around mailboxes. There was no reason she could not deliver my mail. I could drive up to it with my conversion van. Why could she not drive up to it with a front wheel drive vehicle..!?! I am so sick of the United States Postal Service, I could scream.
I called in the complaint to the 800 number they give you. They took it down, stated that there's no reason I should not have received my mail and someone would get back to me. The mail carriers supervisor called me and stated that the carrier says she could not reach my box. I asked her, "If there was a problem don't you think someone should have let me know!" I have drove up to my box every day without concerns. Then the supervisor stated that she would be doing a ride around with her carrier today, so I would most like receive my mail, as she is chuckling. Last I knew the whole reason that these people are employed by the post office is to deliver mail... If that has changed would someone please let me know so I can make different arrangements.
Laughing while talking to a customer who has a complaint against your post office is the most unprofessional thing that you can do. Let me know that you do not take the issue serious and consider this issue a joke. I am furious! Has caused my husband not to receive his fuel card, which is how we get our paycheck and fuel for the truck. They have now cancelled our card and have issued a new one which I still have not received. Which in turn has caused us to use other ways of obtaining fuel for our Semi, which costs us more money.

So I had to mail a bill... when I was in there. I had ask, "Do I have any mail? For three weeks, I haven't seen any." Well the lady that delivers my mail put a stop to it. Two packages were sent at the same time from Bush Terminal post office station Brooklyn, New York 11232-1507 on 1-8-2009 at 11:34am and 11:35am. First package was processed, delivered and confirmed. Second package was never processed, delivered or confirmed. My package is missing, lost and/or stolen from that facility. If I knew this can happen, I would have insured my packages for $500 against the thieves and criminals working at USPS. Even though when I checked the status whoever is supposed to deliver our mail has documented that they left a notice, there was no notice in our mail box for the two dates that the mail person is saying that they left a notice. No notice was put in our mail box. I would like to state that the mail person does not come upstairs to delivery our mail, so someone is not doing their job. I am frustrated and a little angry that my package is not being delivered as expected. I would like the name of a supervisor so that I can file another complaint regarding this delivery. I placed a change of address form in October 2008 after move. I have not received mail. I went to the post office twice and received no assistance other than fast talking. I called the 1800 275-877 number (reference #**). I was told that my change of address request was not entered into the system (yet I received two pieces of junk mail with the change of address, and nothing further). This contradicts the post office's supervisor who printed out my change of address form for me to show me it was in the system. He assured me he would talk to the mail carrier on the route of my old address. He also suggested that I speak with my current carrier to find out if the old carrier is handing off mail to her for me. He also suggested that I send a letter to myself to the old address, with the date on the envelope of when I mailed it.
This seems suspicious as it seems they are putting the onus on me to rectify the situation and that this letter will be expected for them to mail to my new address. Nothing has been done to date as I have not received any mail after two attempts in person at the post office and twice on the phone with above number. When I go to the old address to get the mail, I note that many addresses from that neighborhood are placed in this mail slot (some of which is mine). They do not have an explanation as to where my mail is. I find this frustrating as I have moved within the same zip code and there was no need to ship my mail out to any other zip code.

I mailed a priority mail letter to my son in Provo, UT on 12/2/08. It contained important papers he needed to finish his semester at college and an unactivated credit card of his that arrived at my home. It never arrived. When I checked on the package, I was told that since I didn't insure or get a tracking number, there was nothing that could be done. It has been six weeks now. My son did not get credit for the last semester at school yet because he didn't get this paperwork. We are still scrambling to fix the problem.

I had to pay a late fee. Angry about what happened, I decided to get a new credit card through my bank so I could pay the monthly payment right at the bank. This would mean no mail. Well, I sent the credit card application in on Dec. 26, 2008 and now it is Jan 14, 2009 and they say that they never received my application, which has very personal information on it. Now what am I to do? Who knows where my application is? There is no way I am filling out another. Also last year, I never received my garbage can stickers in the mail, and my mother received a Christmas card from a family member that lived only 20 minutes away only after it was in the mail TEN days. At 12pm on 9 Jan., I overnight express mailed through the US Postal System four months worth of frozen breast milk that I have been pumping and storing for my daughter since she was born. I talked to the post office to confirm that they do ship breast milk on dry ice and even got a copy of their dry ice shipping guidelines. I was told that the breast milk would be delivered the next day, Saturday 10 Jan. by 3 pm. It's now 14 Jan and it still has not arrived. Saturday night, I called their 1-800 customer service number to check on the status. The tracking number they gave me showed the boxes were processed at the San Diego center on 3:45 pm on Friday and that is the last scan they did on each box. I was also told that there was nothing they could do until 24 after the scheduled deliver.
The next morning, I called and talked to another man on the phone. I explained to him that this was frozen breast milk and that if it thaws then it cannot be re-frozen and will spoil after 1 hour. I was told from the postal employee that the contents of my package were not of his concern and then he hung up on me. He took no action to try and locate my missing boxes. I called back and talked to a woman who finally put an urgent tracker on the missing boxes. I was told someone would contact me by the end of the day and no one did. I called before they closed on Sunday and was told there was nothing they could do until Monday morning. Monday morning, I called the Consumer Affairs number and explained my situation. I was told that someone would contact me. Someone finally called me back saying that she was working my case but no one can seem to locate my missing boxes. She told me she would call me back.
By Monday night, no one has called me back. I called the Consumer Affairs number back Monday night but they close at 5 pm EST. I called the local post office in Florida where the milk was supposed to be delivered and they gave me the number to the processing center in San Diego. I talked to a woman in San Diego who said she could not locate the boxes as well. I asked her what flight the boxes would have gone on and she said the post office does not track that information. I asked to speak with her supervisor and was told she was the supervisor. A few hours later, she called me back and said she had talked directly to the people that handled the express mail at night and they said my package was rejected by the FedEx airplane and was supposed to be shipped on Friday night because it weighed too much.
I explained to her that each box has over 25 lbs of tightly packed frozen breast milk. I was never told that there was a weight limit. And the post office accepted the boxes. She said that the express handlers sent the boxes through commercial carriers on Saturday evening. But she said, once again the postal system does not track and keep a record of the flights that the mail is put on.
It is Wednesday, 14 Jan., and my breast milk has not arrived. I called the Consumer Affairs number again and talked to my caseworker and actually had to tell her the name and number of the woman that I talked to in San Diego since I had more information on the boxes then she did. The woman that is supposedly working my case leaves work at 5 pm EST and the people that handle the express shipment in San Diego do not arrive at work until 3:30 WST.

I have had a continual issue in getting either my mail out from this office, or delivery of my mail to my home. The carrier has, on several occasions, dropped vital pieces of mail on the ground, and lost others. I have found checks, automobile registrations, and other items on the ground. A neighbor found a piece of mail the carrier dropped between our houses. I am constantly getting the mail for the wrong address and mine goes elsewhere as well. I have had many important papers sent by mail in the past year as my mother was very ill and passed away in November. I have been charged late fees on bills because I have not received bills for prior months. On two occasions, I had important insurance papers that did not reach me, even though the person sending them had the correct address on them.
I have had to collect my mail from other people, if I can even figure out where it was. I have had finance charges billed to me because I have not received all my bills, costing me out of pocket. I have also sent items that either took much longer to arrive on their destination or not at all, causing me to have to resend, again costing me money. One of the carriers also knocked my mail box off one of the screws on the house, leaving it hanging by one end with mail in it and on the ground. I have had to cancel checks and resend, again costing me money because they have been lost.

The track and scan shows that they were delivered on Dec. 26, 2008 at 11:18 a.m. They are trying to say that someone must have stolen them out of our box. We live back from the road; we are rural, but there are 7 mailboxes on one stand and our neighbors have lived here as long as we have and they would not have stolen anything out of our box. It just seems so strange that after living here for 28 years, now all of a sudden, our mail is getting stolen. I had several different items shipped here (APO address) for my husband for Christmas. His father sent us a check also. We have not received 5 packages, 5 packages! Who has that much stolen from them at the post office? This leads me to believe that it was done here when they arrived. Two were mailed on December 4th and 5th, then one on the 11th, one on the 15th and the last one on the 16th! And the last one just happened to be Express Mail, which even with the APO address should have gotten here in now more than 5 days. I have things still a month out! I have lost hundreds of dollars worth of gifts. I am just sick about this! And unfortunately, since we are overseas, we cannot use another service.
The USPS is unlike any other! They take no responsibility! What kind of company charges for services provided "at your own risk"? We should not have to pay for insurance. That should be included in the price. If there is that much theft going on within the USPS, maybe they should look at some other ways to secure shipments. And one more thing, if my mail was stolen on base, I'm pretty sure most of the people who work in our post office are military, which makes me even more angry. My husband's own people stealing! Well, we are stuck here for three years so I guess I need to insure everything I get shipped here from now on. If anyone really does start to do something about this, I want to know how I can get involved.

This isn't the first time I've had trouble with Mill Valley Post Office. I waited for three weeks for a book to be delivered from the east coast. Yesterday when it was delivered it had been wrapped again on top of the original packaging. The original packages was torn and destroyed. The book inside was also damaged to where I couldn't give it as a gift. I called the post office and asked for the manager. He said wait one moment. I waited for more than 5 minutes. I knew this as my phone has a timer on it. I hung up and called back. The man answered and I told him it wasn't good to be left hanging on for 5 minutes. He responded “you don't know it was 5 minutes.” I responded “yes I do.” He said he was the manager and was busy. I told him my problem with the way my book had been delivered. He told me to bring it by Saturday and he would take a look at it. But that it didn't have insurance so there was probably nothing they could do.
Today I drove to the post office approx. 10 minutes and I asked the woman if the manager was there. She rudely told me to get in line. So I got in line and waited and then it was my turn. I asked to speak to the manager. She rudely said WHY??? I told her that I had spoken to the manager yesterday and he told me to come by. She went to the back and was gone about 6 minutes. When she came back she said she couldn't find him but this pkg. didn't have insurance so they couldn't do anything about it anyway. Well how did she know this if she hadn't spoken to the manager. UNBELIEVABLE! What a waste of my precious time.
As I said before this isn't the first time I've had trouble at this post office. I went first and rang the bell at the door. It rang. No one answered. I rang it again. I could hear someone come and they disconnected the ringer as when I rang it again there was no sound. Not only that. A while ago I wasn't getting my mail. I kept thinking something was wrong. Finally after 1.5 weeks I went there and asked why I wasn't getting any mail. They told me I had put a hold on my mail. I said “no I didn't.” This office is incredibly RUDE. I will hopefully never go back there again. The management is totally unprofessional. I feel terrible that these people are in charge of my personal mail. This is another one about the postal service. I moved from Des Moines, NM, zip 88418 to Raton in November. I arranged to have my mail forwarded through the post office. According to the postal service, Des Moines does not exist either. Even though it has been incorporated since 1919. To mail a letter from Des Moines to Folsom or Capulin, which are both 8 miles away, the mail is supposed to go to Clayton, Tucumcari, Albuquerque and back to Tucumcari, Clayton and then to Capulin or Folsom. A 600 mile round trip to deliver a letter 8 miles away.
On December 1st, my brother-in-law mailed some Christmas and birthday cards and checks from San Antonio to my address in Des Moines. The cards and checks were for my son, grandchildren and me. He mailed them in a priority mail envelope, return receipt requested. The envelope did not reach Des Moines until the 15th and then had to go back to Albuquerque and then to Raton. I did not receive the priority mail envelope until December 30. It took 30 days for that 2 to 3 day priority mail envelope to arrive. The problem in New Mexico is that everything has to go through Albuquerque. Then the postal service in Albuquerque fouls things up a lot of the time.
