I ordered a cell phone screen cover from Ebay. 1 cover. The mailman knocked on my door today and said I had a package with $1.48 postage due. That has never happened to me, I didn't think it was possible, at least not for the last 15-20 years. I handed him 6 quarters. The 'package' was a small envelope. It was stamped by the post office 'First Class 1 oz mail flats rate. US postage and fees paid' on a printed label. I wondered about pricing then. I weighed the envelope on a digital kitchen scale. The weight with the product inside is 1.5 oz. I looked up the price of first class envelope with 'rigid item inside' at 2 oz on USPS.com. The length and height is no more than a normal envelope. The price is .91 cents. How is it that $1.48 was owed??? Even if the Ebay seller's label was bad, it still would not be $1.48. I am on hold with USPS customer service and have been for 27 minutes.

I vacation in Florida for the winter. My neighbor was picking up my mail and forwarding it. After a month of my neighbor forwarding my mail without problems, the carrier took it upon herself to stop mail delivery to my mailbox & started returning mail to the sender without informing me or my neighbor that she was taking that action. She and the local postmaster knew my Florida address as a result of my neighbor forwarding my mail. Therefore after not receiving mail for a while - my neighbor and I researched and realized the carrier had taken this action on her own because she thought the house was unoccupied. However bills were not received or paid as a result of this expletive carrier action and I'm still in the process of clearing up this mess.
Please consider the impact on your life if mail delivery was stopped for 2 months and there was no notification of this action by the post office or carrier – unpaid bills, medical prescription delivery, electric shut off, and damaged credit due to unpaid bills - are just a few of the problems that you would have. I believe the action of this carrier & the Postmaster in New Castle, PA should result in disciplinary measures against them (possibly even cancel their bonus for their actions) and procedures established that any mail recipient should be notified before mail delivery is stopped so no one else has to put up with this incompetence from the postal delivery service. I am also a veteran and senior citizen and don’t desire this hassle from the post office employees.

I mailed a package to a buyer. When she received it it looked like it was kicked around. Despite having fragile written all over it items were broken. When I went to the post office to complain the lady told me that all packages were treated like baggage underneath the plane, thrown around. Are you kidding me. So if it's fragile we shouldn't mail it?

The postal person continues to deliver our packages to the wrong addresses. Then I have to waste hours trying to find out where it actually went or file a claim. Today's package says "delivered in mailbox", but guess what, it's not actually there. Just now trying to submit a track my mail claim and after entering all info the site gives an unknown error and doesn't let me submit anything. Now on hold for a person, expected wait time 45 minutes. Nice!

Package was ordered from Amazon and sent via USPS. Since this was a replacement item for another lost package I was verbally told it would be sent overnight by USPS Express or some such. So the package was ordered on the 20th of January for a 21st delivery. Anyway it's the 20th of February today and the package has still not arrived. Have called USPS customer service on 6 occasions. Near impossible to get a human on the line there as well.
Went down in person to the USPS location where the package was last acknowledged to be located at on three occasions. The package was said to have arrived at the Jose Marti Station at 425 NW 27th Avenue 33125. ** a supervisor there gave me his word that he would look into it and call me back where he promptly forgot and didn't acknowledge our previous conversation when we spoke next. ** was friendly and helpful through the two and a half hours I waited in the office for a response from the mail carrier. She called me later that night to inform me they believe it lost and she wrote a letter to me to send to Amazon.
Sadly in the deal brokered with Amazon due to Amazon's attempts to deliver the package they will neither refund me or replace the package and the USPS won't do anything about it. So why am I writing this today? Hopefully in an effort to attract attention to this location, since it was verified the package made it here and was not delivered someone has sticky fingers. If a pattern shows hopefully the culprit will be brought to justice.

I've been subscribing to a bi-monthly US magazine for over years without problem. The publisher is in Connecticut and I'm in Toronto, Canada. The last renewal was for 14 editions. So far 50% of them have failed to arrive or been over 6 weeks coming. I used to get the magazine within two weeks of it being sent. But 8-9 weeks and it's still not here. I've called Canada Post. They say the problem is with USPS. I've contacted the magazine company. I have to wait until the next edition is coming out before they'll resend. They're getting tired of hearing from me.

I'm getting impatient and I shouldn't have to stop everything I'm doing because of your lazy **. My tax dollars are going to you.

My bottle of Flax Oil arrived on 2/16/2017 at my Banks, Oregon post office and damaged beyond use. The box had oil leaking all over the plastic cap and the bottle was broken. I mentioned it to the clerk but it seemed too much for him to comprehend that I had a problem with USPS and the lack of care with shipping! He only said to file a claim online -- sure -- can't file a claim because item was not insured. Luckily NUTRASCIENCE agreed to send me another bottle with no charge! I just don't understand how USPS can be so dim witted and simply avoid responsibility for their sloppy handling of parcels! I don't think they even deserve 1 star!! Time for Mr. Trump to drain this swamp as well!!

Last summer I bought a pair of shoes online from Bergdorf Goodman for delivery. Delivery text came in telling me that they'd been delivered and were on my porch. (BTW, I live in the sleepiest community in Cedar Park, TX and no other packages for three-years have come up missing.) The next day I call the Cedar Park post office and was told that they'd have the carrier call me. I finally received a call, the next day, and was told by the carrier that he recalled dropping off the package but not at my door. I told him that the shoes totaled $200 and I want my shoes or money, and it was his job to find them since he'd 'misplaced' the item.
That evening I arrived home to find the shoes after he called me to tell them that he'd left them with one of my neighbors and they'd opened the box and it was sitting by their door when he arrived to retrieve them. Okay. The label clearly had my name, address w/ the correct unit #, city, state, and zip. I'll accept this as a mistake.
Well, mid-last month, checked the DSW website and was advised that my shoes were delivered; got home to NOTHING. Not in the community mailboxes or at my door. For two days I tried to reach the Cedar Park post office, and finally got through at the end of the second day only to be told that the shoes were once again delivered to another house, not mine, by the mail carrier and supervisor (I guess). To this day I've not received shoes or even a kiss my **. I AM FURIOUS BEYOND FURIOUS. I am what DSW calls 'a shoe lover,' so all labels are correct and come from one source when shipping, per DSW. So, I'm out $59.00. Lovely. DSW is willing to reimburse me, however, I am not trying to ruin a relationship with the vendor. This was not their fault; and, I find it so unusual that once again he did not deliver to the right home, but he remembers where he left the package. This is ridiculous. If he's on **, GET RID OF HIM!!!
So, I'm a homeowner that has to rent a mailbox in Austin, TX because my packages don't seem to be getting to my mailbox, although the mail carrier recalls the houses they dropped them in my community. Oh, and I've spoken with four of my neighbors, and we all speak often, they did not receive a package delivered to me at their home. Be careful if you live in Cedar Park because your carrier may be mine and he loves shoes.

Heading west on US26 over Mt.Hood on Feb 16-2017 at approx 10:20pm at Warm Springs jct mp 67-75 in Heavy fog, we were driving average of 45-50mph following a Semi Truck when behind us approaching rapidly was another Semi Truck. For approx 5miles this Semi didn't just tailgate - his headlights were clear visible in my rear window. As we approached the junction they made several attempts to pass on the left. If unfamiliar with the junction the highway splits from 2 lanes (severely narrowed due to RoadSide snow banks and melting snow) into 4 lanes with a grass berm dividing the West/North bound traffic from East/South. A passing lane does exist, yet in these driving conditions it is extremely reckless to attempt even in a passenger car. Regardless of Safety and Highway laws this US MAIL CARRIER TRUCK made an abrupt move to pass both myself - subaru Crosstrek xv and the 40' semi and trailer we were following.
This reckless driver passes at 50mph so close if I had my window down and reached out my arm I would have touched his truck - I'm 5'10. That was his Cab - he was hauling a 40' trailer as well. Having no choice I had to brake hard and laid on my horn the entire time with my bright lights and hazard flashers on steadily - in attempt to alert the semi in front of us to use extreme measures to avoid collision. Once the end of the Semi Trailer passed by I then read in blue letters in middle of the rear door "US MAIL". Saw license plate on chassis was Yellow - defining as OREGON PLATES. I was unable to retain what the plate numbers were, concentrating on not slamming into snow banks on passenger side and not running into back of the semi ahead of us who was rapidly braking.
My wife in passenger seat was at this point frantic - and apart from my resources in keeping us safe I had to abruptly speak to her to have her return to a calm state as her tensions were becoming erratic, and could have severely dampered my ability to concentrate. Praise God for ADHD!!! I waited for safe ability to pass the semi we were following and then proceed to find this truck with Oregon Plates. As of now 11:06pm I presumed my best chance was to pull over at Government Camp, Oregon and look to see if this truck was idling near by. No luck. My next inclination brings me here - The Internet. Trying to track down the Route and which drivers would be carrying US MAIL over Mt. Hood at this time - I WANT THIS TRUCKER'S LICENSE REVOKED, FINED, REPRIMANDED AND FIRED!
I will continue to search in Sandy, Troutdale, Gresham and Portland and share this experience with each postal service delivery intake I find - and Local Police! I will Find this driver. It's trackable, somewhere, somehow. Any replies with any information regarding searching would be gratefully appreciated - if I was reading this and had an idea I'd post! Think of it - what if it was You writing this, and by God's grace, not writing from a Hospital bed.

I called the USPS in Thiensville, Wisconsin to figure out where my package was and when it would be delivered (I payed for priority shipping), and the rude customer service representative told me that my tracking number was not a USPS tracking number, which it was. She transferred me over to a male who worked there and he was able to identify the tracking number and to help me locate my package. I also ordered priority mail, which costs quite a bit more, and to not have it on the day it was promised is upsetting to say the least.

I swear that USPS never reads these reviews. We get to vent, that's it. I received an attempted delivery notice with my address on it, but also with a recipient name that was hard to read, not sure if it was really for me or a misdelivery. Tried to track online with no luck. Called my post office 3 hours before closing and no one answered, typical, as usual. Called the USPS 800 number and dealt with their STUPID automatic system - which goes out of its way to prevent you from speaking with someone - 3 times, only to be told - "Your expected wait time is 30-40 minutes." Baloney. This means I have to go to the post office because a package MAY be for me? Given the illegible name scrawled on it, how would they even compare my ID to it? "Hi, this may be for me, my name is Bill but the name on the slip is "**", can you find the package and help me figure out if it's for me?" "Sure, I'll need to see some ID Mr. **..."
Why the heck can't the UNITED STATES POSTAL SERVICE have staff available to ANSWER PHONES? If it can't AFFORD TO DO THIS, then it could SAVE MONEY by getting RID of the stupid phone system that it doesn't use! I could tie a note to my dog and send him to the post office with better results. Being a dog, someone would go, "Awww..." and pat him and maybe read the note.

Then it arrived back at the same facility (Warrendale PA) at 8:15 pm (WTF). Now it's saying that it departed from the same facility Warrendale PA on Feb. 8, 17 at 2:42 pm. Then I got 4 more updates saying it departed at 4 more different times. The last was around 5:34 pm. This is ridiculous, and to boot they do not answer their phones. I called them 13 times throughout the day and got same message to try later.
This is our incompetent government employees that don't give a crap. They are all overpaid and do not do their jobs at all. That Warrendale PA facility needs to be shut down. So many bad reviews about this place all basically the same, and whoever is the manager at this facility needs terminated. It's been 20 days now and I still don't have my package. For over a year we have not received mail. Tax documents late requiring late fees. Christmas gifts held with no notice. Perishables perishing. Surly and unkind mail people who refuse to even put mail in the box. Our dog who is properly contained in an electric fix and has never attacked anyone - including mail people - is cited. It has become so contentious they are refusing to put mail in the box, calling animal control to the house for a dog contained properly (who is very nice). No notices are given. Post mistress has been met with. We go to mail every other day to check on packages. My daughter's birthday gifts were never deliver, no notice received, not given to us when we went to the post office to inquire and were instead SENT BACK to Birchbox in Ohio. National consumer number called. We are openly being harassed and I am filing a suit to protect our right to receive mail.
My husband and I have both tried to have reasonable meeting with the post office. Animal control, who came to the house, feel the call was both unnecessary and that we should file a complaint. I have no other recourse as all other actions have been taken. How can we protect ourselves from this and receive mail? Isn't it a federal right?

USPS, 1425 N Cherokee Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90028. Every time that I've gone there, the parking is completely full and I have to use the street parking. It wasn't like this a few years back. There's around twenty-three parking spaces that are allocated for customer use only but management is allowing employees and strangers to use it as their private parking. Why is this being allowed? Do they want the station to close for lack of business or what? Because if you go inside when the parking is full, there's about three to five people using the post office. There have been complaints by customers about this problem but nothing is ever done.

To arrange a new flight will cost more if I buy a new ticket. That costed me about two thousand dollars. And, when I call the USPS, their help is very minimum. They told me to wait and see what happen for few more days. Their online tracking system is also useless, never update, offer nothing worthy for tracking my mail. This is clearly a case of carelessness, especially during this time of the year. If I had any knowledge of this area I would have took other measure to have the package delivered.
Integrity means a lot to me, everyone isn't honesty, when the Norristown, PA supervisor emailed me, he clearly covered this postal worker carelessness and said, "They never go inside." I am constantly receiving my neighbor's mail and they receive mine. This includes my bills, bank statements, and other confidential materials. We also receive each other's packages that belong to each other. My review today is based on a package that was marked delivered but was not delivered. I didn't receive a package so I checked the website where the package was coming from and the tracking information said the package had been delivered. I contacted the USPS online and 9 days later I get a call from the local office saying that the mail carrier scanned the package before she brought it to the door and saw that I have a sign up on my door that says not to leave packages unattended.
Rather than leave me a failed delivery message or make sure the package was properly marked so that it would go out again the next day she just took it back to the office and set it on a shelf with no further thought about it. When I finally got ahold of someone they acted like it wasn't a big deal that I didn't get my package nor that I would ever have gotten my package. Because it was marked delivered the company wouldn't reimburse me or refund my money. I didn't know if the package had been stolen or what happened. The post office didn't reassure me that steps would be taken to ensure that it did not happen again, they didn't apologize, they didn't even understand why this would upset me. If I had not thought to contact them, nothing else would have happened. I would have been out the money I paid for both the package and the shipping.

My tussle with my local USPS began years ago. Over the course of about 5 years, at least four or five expensive packages delivered by the USPS has been delivered to the wrong address or not delivered at all. And since the majority of my neighbors are crappy people who don't return wrong letters to me, I have lost over $300 worth of products I have ordered. Also, I sent a scholarship application through the USPS recently (stupid me I know, I've learned since then) and it never even left my local USPS facility. It stayed there for over two months (well past the scholarship deadline) before it was returned to me with skid marks and tears all over the envelope. Guess I can kiss my $2000 for college goodbye- yay loans!
Even more recently, I have tried to renew my passport THREE times in the span of about two weeks. The first time I got an appointment, they called me the evening before my appointment (this call took place an hour past closing) saying they had scheduled someone over me so they needed to change my appointment. After arguing with them, I got one for 11 am the next day. Okay sounds good. I go there with all my necessary paperwork and get turned away when I don't have my birth certificate. NEVER have I had to have a birth certificate to renew my passport and when I checked the needed documents all that was needed was a passport and it could even be expired! I had that! Why was I turned away?
Whatever I still need my passport renewed so I make an appointment for after class (which means I've had to move a meeting and find a ride). TWO HOURS BEFORE MY APPOINTMENT they call me saying they need to move my appointment AGAIN. And then they call in rapid succession after that trying to get me to pick up- I AM IN THE MIDDLE OF CLASS. I CANNOT PICK UP YOUR CALL. Finally when I get out of class and attempt to call them back, every single way I tried to call gave me a beeping on the line that signals the line has been disconnected. The USPS is a crapshoot of people who can't do their jobs or just loves to inconvenience people. I refuse to use USPS for personal use now. I would rather use UPS or FedEx and pay the extra money for a sense of security.

You can call several times during the week and still be unaccomplished. I don't understand, they send you in circles. Call this number when that number was used to reach that same person! With me, I called the post office day after sending out my package, I filed complaints and fraud reports, had a few good friends pitch in too. They filed for fraud, etc. It's ridiculous! Yet, the worst part, we are all stuck tracking the damn package as it continues to ship to the scammer's destination.
I'm at fault, I know that, but the fact that we are all just running in circles because the USPS can't really do much just sucks. Flag it, stop it, hold it... it's a big and heavy package. Insured with a custom. International. It's carrying expensive merchandise worth thousandths. I'm just in awe. Yes, my fault, but with all of the time it's taken... and the package is still in transit. I will no longer be supporting USPS.

Lately, the Elkridge MD post office is unable to deliver packages. I get notices saying they are delivered but they never show up. Contacting them directly by phone or e-mail is impossible and I don't want to go there and wait in a long line to be treated slowing and rudely as usual. I have no recourse but to either reorder and spend money again or never use them again. So I have decided to only use Amazon from now on. If it's not on Amazon, I won't get it. They can actually deliver packages to my door.

USPS service is so poor, that I am considering dropping my Amazon prime membership. What good is 2 day shipping when it will take at least 5 days to get a replacement (hopefully) delivered? I don't order a lot off Amazon, around 20 orders per year, however my delivery failure rate is around 30%. The items show as delivered, but are nowhere around my mailbox, porch or garage. I do not live in a high crime area, and anyone approaching my house would have to walk about 50 yards with dogs barking their head off the whole time. Also I or someone else is normally at home when the mail runs. Today was my 2nd failed delivery this week, and I was really needing the seat cushion I ordered to help with my lower back pain. Guess I will have to suffer for 3 more days, as I will be calling Amazon tomorrow.

I hear a lot of stories defending the USPS and at times, I step away from my own opinions and give them a benefit of the doubt. Sure, they are the only agency that provides your everyday mail accounting for millions upon millions of deliveries per day. But wait a minute, who here has not heard of online billing. In 2017, everything from mortgage to internet to water bills are managed online so the paper bills they load up in your mailbox might be perfect for fire kindle. And who really wants advertisements in the form of paper? Oh great, Macy's has a 20% off sale, whoopteedoo. Then there's the shipping services which many people rely on due to their competitive prices compared to UPS or FedEx. But people defend this too, proclaiming "I ship hundred of items and had issues with a few". These are good odds! Sadly I was wrong.
I shipped an item to Canada and at worst case, I thought maybe 2 weeks to get there? No. Tracking stopped at my hometown 2 days after shipment. Nothing happened for 3 weeks. Finally, tracking updates and the item was at a PO only 1 hour away. About 1 month after shipping it finally makes its way to Canada for the Canadian PO to take care of. It'd be a miracle if it ever makes it. Alright, maybe that was the 1 out of 100. Odds are my next shipment will be without issues. Nope. Item was shipped express 2 days. 2 days later, it arrives across the country but to the wrong zip code! Tracking stops for an entire week. I called USPS consumer affairs who says they will locate it and call me back. Of course no calls. I call my local office a myriad of times and no one picks up.
So I drive there and guess what? The office was empty and the two service workers are twiddling their thumb. They tell me, 2 days is not a guarantee and says these exact words "even if it takes a month to get there, we aren't accountable". So, my part is to put the right address and your part is to take the item to said address. If I wrote the right address (which I triple checked and showed proof of) and the item is nowhere to be found, whose accountability is that? Next, I call the 2 possible PO that might have the item. For 3 days I call incisively and no one picks up. USPS has become the symbol of "pay for services, but it's your fault if we mess up". I can happily say I'm done with the USPS.

Received rent payment via Western Union money order in mail 1/6. 3/4 of the envelope and 3/4 of the money order was missing. It was damaged via a USPS machine. Western Union doesn't replace money orders for free; there is a $15 charge plus notarized signature of claim-filer charge. This will cost me $30 for a money order for $39.22. The money isn't the principle; the fact that USPS damaged the money order and won't replace it is as their machine damaged the money order and they did not give me all of the pieces of it back where I could have at least taped it and taken it to the bank. Called the USPS 1-800 number and they said for replacement, the sender had to send the money order priority mail. Who pays $5 to send a check/money order through the mail?
Personnel that I've dealt with have been arrogant and ignorant at best. I send many mailings and boxes out each year. I will be seeking another carrier for my business as much as possible due to the poor reception I've received as well as a blatant lack of compassion from USPS personnel. This postal service needs to be eliminated.

I have received confirmation that the package has been picked up as scheduled except I still have the package. And there are several items I have ordered that have been marked as "delivered," and have not come even close to delivery. What is happening with USPS? I understand honest delays and such, but for USPS to claim pickup/delivery when neither has occurred seems to be an odd business practice, to say the least.

We have had trouble with getting mail or getting mail very late in the day (6:30 pm). I have been expecting a delivery of photos that I had ordered from proofs of my daughter's college graduation. They finally arrived (6:30 pm Friday evening). The envelope was clearly marked First Class Mail... Do Not Bend on both front and back. My pictures were delivered bent and left in mailbox. Every photo is clearly bent. When I called the post office to complain, I was told that the sender has to pay an extra fee of $8.00 if they don't want them put in a mailbox and bent. This is ridiculous.
It is totally the mail carriers fault and she should be held responsible, instead the postal service makes it the sender's fault. I am now stuck with bent photo of a very special occasion that cannot be replaced because the time to place more orders has run out. Apparently the postal service can do anything they want and not take responsibility for it. What a way to run a business. I will now find any other way other than the postal service to get things where they need to go. Dissatisfied does not begin to cover my feelings.

The first problem derives from the fact that I set up an account several years ago, but not needing or using it for all that time, I lost the password. No problem! The USPS site asks "forget your password? Create a new account." So I fill out the form to create a new account and enter it, and surprise, surprise! I get a message, as I paraphrase, "It appears you already have an account with us. Please check your information and sign in." WTF! The reader should be able to understand the problem with THAT. How does that help me to get past the forgotten password problem?
So I get on the phone to the USPS and spend over 1 hour on hold. I get passed from one rep to another, each supposed to be technicians who can help me set up an account, and each, after several minutes of dialogue, informs me that they are in fact NOT technicians and cannot help me! Actually, it was slightly more complicated, as first I called the main CS number and after several failed attempts to get the help I needed, I found and called a "technical help line." The next applies to both calls.
I wait on hold for 5-15 minutes to talk to each one. EVENTUALLY, after at least 1 1/2 hrs on the phone, and after talking to 3-4 reps who were supposed to be techs but were not, I finally connect with someone who agrees to send me a temporary password to set up an account. So far, not so good. I get the temporary password, access the form and TRY to fill it out. However, I notice right away that the form includes a number of drop-down menus, NONE OF WHICH WORK! I think I have seen this before, and seem to recall that when the menus don't work, the form will be rejected. I don't waste more time there.
Later I am contacted by a person from Consumer Affairs, who is very sympathetic, and who informs me that the USPS website/forms do not work on Apple OS computers, specifically with Safari. Well, about 1/3 of all private home computers are Apples, and Safari is the only browser Apple supports. Why doesn't the USPS website at least inform Apple users that we are wasting our time? Why does the USPS website not work on Apple devices? EVERYTHING ELSE WORKS ON THEM!!!
So I have to order the paper forms and submit my $69.99 insurance claim by snail mail. I get the forms quickly, fill them out and send them in, complete with numerous photos of the broken item, the packaging and the shipping label with photos which tie them all together. It's not perfectly clear what the USPS wants or will accept, but I send them everything I have.
Again, fairly quickly, I get a finding from the USPS, which is that my claim is rejected on the grounds that no insurance was purchased for my package!!! This is despite the fact (which both I and the shipper believe to be the case; the USPS website is NOT very clear) that ALL PRIORITY MAIL PACKAGES ARE AUTOMATICALLY INSURED FOR UP TO $50, and this being an eBay purchase, all THOSE packages are supposed to be automatically insured for up to $100!!!
So now I am permitted to appeal? Well woop-di-do! I already have about 6-7 frustrating hours into collecting a $69.99 insurance claim, they make an absurd finding, completely contrary to the facts as I know them, and I am supposed to put YET ADDITIONAL time into countering their ridiculous finding? My merchandise was clearly shipped USPS Priority Mail, which carries automatic insurance, was obviously broken in transit, as I have provided more than enough information to demonstrate, yet they reject my claim?
I am at my wit's end. The PHYSICAL PO absolutely refuses to help. It says "we don't do that." Therefore I am going to abandon my claim. The amount of time I have spent attempting to claim insurance, at my regular pay rate, is already well over $300, to collect a $70 claim. Now they want me to spend even more time on it, to get past the latest obstacle they put in my way. The system is prohibitive. I can't think of a better term for it than "SCAM." The USPS shipping insurance is a scam. I bet that tens of thousands (maybe millions) of USPS customers never collect on insurance they are rightfully owed, because the USPS system puts so many obstacles in our way, that collecting is virtually IMPOSSIBLE.

I have lived in northeast DC for 38 years and for the last several months I've had the pleasure of speaking with and enjoying the service provided Ms. **, a US Postal letter carrier who works out of the Brookland Post Office, 3401 12th St NE, Washington, DC 20017. Every time I see her in the neighborhood and it is often because I walk my dog in the multiple times throughout the day, she has a smile on her face. No matter the weather or time of day she manages to take the time to speak and move steadily from home to home delivering the mail. In all the time she has delivered mail to my home there has never been a delivery for someone else. And that is rare.
Ms. ** sets the bar extremely high when it comes to providing great service to the residents of our community and should be commended for that. I had shipped a package on 12/12/16 to another country and my package still did not arrive. It has been three weeks now. The horror began from the second I dropped off these packages. My packages went all the way from Long Island, NY and went all the way down to Virginia before coming all the way back up to NY into Customs. Someone in the USPS thought it was a good idea to ship two boxes WITH CUSTOMS FORMS attached to it all the way to Virginia instead of to the other side of NY. Jamaica, Queens Customs is only a 90 minute drive from where I dropped it off! It took this package 5 days just to bounce around NY and Virginia.
This package was supposed to be Christmas presents but now the holiday season is pretty much over and my packages still have not gotten to its destination. The USPS didn't even have the common decency to upgrade my package to express once they notice their mistake. I paid over 200 dollars to ship one of those boxes and 69 for the other one. This postage was not cheap and to this day, my packages have not been delivered. I don't even know where they are even which is sad. One they say departed an airport in another country but that was on 12/20 and in the same continent as where my package was suppose to go to but it still hasn't been delivered to the country of origin. The other package still states it's in JFK since 12/17. I put out international inquiries about my packages (again) and I still haven't heard anything. I put one inquiry in on 12/21 but haven't heard anything yet.
I'm really very upset that these packages did not get delivered yet after 3 weeks. It's not right that we live in the 21 century and we can get men on the moon easily but the USPS can't even get a package to another country within a reasonable amount of time. They should be ashamed of themselves and their services! I understand it is the holiday season but I dropped it off three weeks ago and had this package bounced around for 5 days just in the USA! My package might have been delivered on time had it not have been given to an incompetent person to sort my package to make it go to Virginia. Plus the USPS doesn't even have the courtesy to even offer you anything for your holiday season being ruined by them!
Happy holidays USPS! Your delivery services are bad and I hope the whole USPS gets dismantled. This is the reason why they are going broke and nobody wants to use them! Unfortunately I had no choice in the matter because one of my packages was going to a military base so I just decided to drop them both off in one shot!

So apparently the only qualification you need in order to be a mail courier would be a valid driver's license. In the past year 4 of my packages, according to the tracking number and your website, have been delivered. However 2 of them were found at a house 3 doors down and 6 doors up from me and the other 2 are still missing. The older of the two packages I had to raise a fit about in order to file a claim with someone. The most recent was suppose to have been delivered "in mailbox" today at 3:31 pm. And yet again no one has seen it. And because it was Christmas Eve no one actually wanted to do their job and file a claim. After being put on hold for 45 minutes and being transferred NINE times I gave up. My mail courier has yet to deliver all of my mail to my house in a single day.
EVERY DAY I have to take my neighbor's (multiple neighbors and as far as 8 houses away) mail to them and see if they have any of my mail and sure enough at least two neighbors always have something addressed to my house. Unfortunately today I was not so lucky when I went knocking door to door to find my package. I and many other neighbors have called our local Post Office and complained about our mail courier and nothing has been done. I am not sure if my mail courier is dyslexic, illiterate, or just a straight up thief (I know from personal experience he is unprofessional and rude) but this has gotten really really old. For all of the mail I retrieve and deliver to and from other houses you should really be paying me rather than him. Someone else wrote on their review that if it was possible to give less than 1 star they would do it. That person was so right. On the 12/13 I sent a 1st class package to Seattle, Washington. The tracking number is **. This was sent from the Shadle-Garland office in Spokane, Washington. The package has been sitting in Seattle since 12/15 - undelivered. Its destination is a PO Box in Seattle. I have filed a lost package report. The number is **. This was filed on 12/19. According to the information given I am to be contacted in 3 business days. I have not been contacted.
I went to the post office where the package was sent. The supervisor who talked to me said he would have to send an email to find out where my package was. He said he couldn't get anyone at whatever office the package was at, on the phone. He said he would call me and let me know what the situation was regarding the package. That was also on 12/19. He has not contacted me. Today I went to the main office in Spokane and spoke to a woman who came to the counter with a chip on her shoulder and a look on her face that clearly meant that a tax paying peon like me had no business wasting her valuable time. She told me I couldn't file any sort of lost package report because the package was 1st class mail. What's the point of tracking number if a package can't be found?
Under normal circumstances I wouldn't go to this length to get someone's attention. The package however contains an original copy of a document that has to go the Washington State Department of Licensing and a check for $250. Of course they only accept original documents. Due to my package being lost I am now unemployed. What I have been forced to do is spend $25 to get a duplicate copy and an additional $44 to ship the form. I sent it FedEx. I think the reason why should be readily apparent. So now I am out another $69 to correct this mess created by USPS.
One of the scary things about USPS is that as a customer you have no recourse. They can lose your mail, destroy your mail, or whatever because they are protected from prosecution. If you don't believe me do the research. It should be noted that I will be sending letters to every member of Congress who has anything to do with the United States Post Office. Letters are also being sent to the USPS Board of Governors. No one should have to be subjected to this.

Two days in a row I had important outgoing mail, my box flag up, and no one came, so I trundled it down to the street box a mile away (late). Sure they gave me a refund the next day. Now on Friday Dec 9th I sent my daughter her Christmas and birthday gift. Looking up the tracking number it got to the Atlanta GA sorting facility on Monday the 11th at 5:23 pm. I was happy it looked on time with a delivery day of Thursday, December 15, 2016. Where it was going is only 25 miles from there.
Now here come the nightmare. All week it kept showing it was still in Atlanta GA but I figured ok on the 15th it will show going to where it's supposed to go. Well no way it never did so I figured it's the holiday rush. The scanning system is running slow all day. It never showed leaving the Atlanta GA sorting facility and it never got delivered. Then later I looked up the tracking again. To my surprise it showed being at the USPS Facility in CHICAGO at 4:05pm. I could not believe this. It never even made it to her address. Not even to her towns post office. I've call 3 times even went to my local post office where I mailed it from. No one not one person can tell me anything that I already don't know from looking up the tracking number. No one even knows why it is even in CHICAGO. Now I don't know what to do. How can they keep running like this. I'm sure I'm not the only one this is happening to.

I had a package that was to be delivered to me but it had the wrong zip code. The package arrived in Portland, Oregon on November 30th, 2016. Due to the wrong zip code, the package kept being delivered between Hillsboro and Portland and back again. This went on for two weeks. I filed a claim after about 10 days, and explained the situation and the USPS rep told me that somebody would call me.
I received a call from "Renee" in the Portland Distribution Center who left a message. I called back as soon as possible and my call was received by "Brian". I explained the issue to him and he asked for a tracking number. I explained that it was on my phone and that I just had to pull it up. Within 5 seconds, he told me that I could call him back with it and that would "work for him". I told him it would just be a second - totally calmly but perhaps with a sense of urgency as I was trying to find the tracking number - and he yelled "stop yelling at me". I told him I wasn't.
And then I had the tracking number (within 15 seconds), and he told me - "the package has never been here, why are you calling here?". I told him I was just returning the call from the number from someone who called me. He asked, "who was it? I want to tell them that they did not do this correctly". I told him, that I could get the name but it's on my voicemail, do you want me to put you on hold and get it? He disregarded my question and told me that the only way to handle the issue was to run a "package intercept" over the website. I got on the website, put in my tracking number, and the website told me that the package was not eligible for redirection.
I then called back and spoke to "Paolo" who was professional and nice and told me he would contact the Hillsboro Post Office and tell them to hold the package. He said he would call me back once he heard from them. Not receiving a callback, I called back a few days later and got Steven. I tried to explain the story and he shouted at me "I'm not Paolo!". I told him, "I know, you're Steven." I wrote it down. "Why are you guys so defensive?" And then he shifted and told me that my package was being held in Hillsboro and hung up on me. I have no idea where this location is in Hillsboro or how to get it. I don't know why we pay these people with our taxes. UPS and Fed Ex and Amazon are all more helpful. These people aren't just rude. They seem to go out of their way to give you the worst experience possible. I'll never send anything USPS again. I couldn't be more disgusted with these people.

Paid for delivery 2-3 days to ensure homemade desserts were fresh upon arrival. The package also included a homemade memorial ornament. The food items arrived as if the box had been tossed on end and mashed, the ornament broken. Before you suggest, "Did you have the item insured?" stop and consider the fact that this was a homemade, one of a kind MEMORIAL ornament in remembrance of my deceased grandmother. No monetary amount could begin to replace the item the USPS so carelessly handled. Given the dying nature of the USPS, one would assume this government corporation would take greater care to ensure continued use of their service. I don't find this review will bring me any comfort, but must be addressed.

Now it's again, the item to be delivered to me today, but, USPS decided it's easier to mark my package as undeliverable as addressed than do the job, though my address has not been changed since 2002 and I have received from this sender quite a few packages before.

I tracked my package and it shows it has been delivered, but I did not receive it. USPS is the worst postal service online stores can utilize for their customers. How dumb can a person be leaving a package in an open area and apartment with thousands of people going in an out. My package was lightweight and would have fit in the mail box. The moron who left the parcel at the front door to be stolen probably left his or her brain/thinking hat at his front door, because it was not a required tool for his job. I would prefer a note stating I have to pick up my package from the post office than leaving it for someone looking for a free item to grab at the front door. I had no intention of giving out a Christmas gift to anyone this way. I am VERY VERY disappointed at this incompetence. MY ADVICE TO USPS: #Please knock the door and or request a signature. #Please step it up like UPS.

This has been going on the almost a year. First the carrier stopped our mail delivery 2 times with lies. First time there was a loose dog that looked different than mine and was about 15 houses away and the carrier stopped our mail. We had to photograph the loose puppy and my dog and go into the post office and explain. The supervisor was not very helpful and didn't apologize. And we were forced to sign a form agreeing to NOT let our dog run loose. What? So stupid to insist that we sign the form to get our mail back when it was the carrier's mistake. After that the carrier was always giving me the evil eye and would yell things at me. Then in Sept 2016 he accosted me from behind and started screaming "Why are you AMBUSHING me? Why are you hiding behind that tree?"
He scared me to bad. I didn't hear him coming and he was paranoid and delusional. My dog was doing his business on the grass, I wasn't behind the miniature orange tree he was speaking of. He yelled for 4 or 5 minutes and then the neighbors came out of the house and asked what was going on. He refused to answer. The whole time he was yelling louder and louder and moving closer and closer to me. And I must say, my leashed dog, still didn't bark at this man! I reported this and was told someone would get back to me in 2-3 days but no one ever did! I went down to the post office and supervisor didn't care. THEN the carrier stopped our mail again! He said that (the day he accosted me with witnesses) my dog was off leash! Nothing was ever done. I have avoided him at all cost since then.
Now on Nov. 26th 2016 he comes up from behind me again and starts yelling. He said I was Ambushing him (even though he come up from behind me again!) This time he was cursing. He called me FAT **, said **. I went to the post office and no supervisor there, so I made a complaint on their website. I didn't get a reply. I went back down to the post office and now 10 days have gone by and he is still walking up my street and delivering mail! I wonder if I should call the police. This guy is nuts. There has been witnesses to his paranoid, vulgar rants and nothing happens to him. Not to mention that we were forced to get a p.o. box because of his lies and he told my neighbor to tell me, if I am walking my leashed dog and I see him walking up my street that he expects me to TURN AROUND AND RUN HOME!? WHAT?

I sent off some Indian Artifacts to be certified and was expecting their arrival today. I have an online USPS Online Account to get a text page to inform me of new packages enter the system and a date they will arrive. I can leave them a special message if I know I won't be home or sign for it and have it delivered at another location. Our town is either understaffed, lazy or both. I got a message Monday I would get package today with almost $2000 in arrowheads. I was watching TV and got a message it was delivered, odd as I can see the front door from my TV Room. I checked the mail and none.
I walked to Post Office this afternoon and asked about my package as it now shows delivered to an individual. I gave them the tracking number and the Postal Carrier said he left it with my wife at the Baptist Church this morning, to take it up with her. She is the one of two secretaries, but that statement was uncalled for. I bit my tongue and stepped outside and called her at church. She had no package, had left and on her way home. She went back to check again. No package!!! I don't attend the church and my address was not on the package. Since my wife works there, they claim they delivered it there by assumption. I did find that even when it's not signature signed, there is a GEO Scanner that shows the Postmaster if and where the package was last scanned.
At our local Post Office they are checking all packages with tracking as delivered at 8AM and then riding around at 3pm delivering them. The carriers take turns each day on who drops off the boxes. I knew this would catch them sooner or later. The other secretary at church is off work with a broken foot so if the package was left, my wife would have gotten it. Since there is a daycare there is a buzzed entry into the office. This delivery by assumption should not be a standard and assumed practice just because it is a small town.
I told the Postmaster the sender had no means to even know where my wife would works or even if I were married so it did not have two addresses on the package as she claimed. I told her my assumption was the address placed on the box had a purpose not an assumption. This is not the 1st instance. I had an insured signature required package for $2500 delivered to the wrong location in late 2014 and they let the person at that location sign for it and keep it. I was furious and reported it to the Postmaster who promptly went there and asked for it back. I was successful but only with his intervention. If this package is lost, I will likely file a suit in Small Claims which will recover my money, but not replace the artifacts. This practice of scanning and delivery at the closet place. Since the church has a day care, I guess the next best thing would be to leave packages for all the parents with children there?

As I am writing now, I am furious. Let me disclose here I am a federal employee. I am furious that I have been trying to find out what happened to my package that I shipped to Cameroon on Nov 3, 2016. The package was supposed to be delivered 5 business days after to my brother in law. The package contained a wedding gown, shoes and miscellaneous wedding for my younger sister that is going to get married this Friday November 25, 2016. Since the package has not arrived Cameroon, I tracked it online, and call EMS in Cameroon as well many times to see what can be done.
EMS Cameroon has sent many inquiries to the USPS with no avail, no reply at all. I call the Damascus office on Wednesday afternoon around 3 PM, and was told that the package was heading to Cameroon, I came to understand that the agent that I was talking to did even understand what I was talking about, I requested to talk the supervisor. She replied that the supervisor, the Postmaster has stepped out, "but I will give her your telephone number" and she will call me back tomorrow (Thursday, Nov 16, 2016).
I called back Thursday around 10:Am, and was told by an agent who refused to disclose her ID that the postmaster has stepped out. Again I was requested to leave my telephone and the tracking number. Still Robin ** the Damascus Postmaster never called me back. I reached out again in the afternoon at 15:00, and was told that Robin the postmaster has left for the day, and that "we will give her your information and she will call you back and if you want to really put a hold on her, you have to call early in the AM." On Friday, Nov. 17, 2016 I called around 10:00 AM. Robin was not in her office, the agent promised to call me back if I give her my information. I called her back again, the agent that I talked to told me again that Robin has left the office for the day.
This Monday morning of Nov.21, I called at 9:30 AM, so that I could catch this Robin **, the Postmaster to hear that she on a telegraphic conference call, that will last an hour and that I should call back. I said "I am willing to stay on the phone for an hour until Robin is done with important teleconference call. I just want to know what she has done since I have been calling her and was promised she will call and email the corresponding office." I stayed on the phone, was put on hold, and around 10:15 AM, an African American (from her accent) agent came to the phone and after listening, she came back with a phone number that the postmaster gave her to give me. I told her that "the phone number that you are giving me is not a Morocco phone number, it is a US phone number." She kept arguing that it is a Morocco phone number and that It is working.
I asked if she has checked that this phone number is working, and she told me that the Postmaster called in front of her and it went through. Thus I should call myself to inquiry about my package because they were told that my package left Morocco since last Thursday they have been inquiring. I called the phone number and it was here in the US. Which means, Robin ** did not even bother to key in my tracking number to try to locate my package, she was just told by her agent this morning that my package is stuck in Morocco, and she went ahead to call the first Morocco post office that popped in the US directory. She did not care even to talk to me herself. So when I called back to talk her 10 minutes after, I was told by another agent that Robin ** is not in today (in an interval of 10-15 minutes, I had so many versions).
I requested to talk to the African American who told me that the Postmaster just gave her the phone number and that she called in front of her. I was told that the African American shift was over. I asked if the shift over at 10:25 and I just talked to her 5 Minutes ago. The agent directed me to the 18002221811, and that - Robin is not in for the day and will call me back - where I spend 30 minutes as well and still, nobody knows what happened to my package, and my sister is going to get married next Friday. An hour later, I called the Damascus office again, and Robin picked up the phone. I told her that I was told an hour ago that she is not in the office and that this has really been ridiculous. Robin first said this is the first time that she is aware of my problem... and that once the package leaves the US they do not know how to get a hold on their correspondents abroad.
I asked her "you are trying to tell me that the USPS promises to deliver our packages but they do not know or they do not know how to contact the people they have an agreement with or they trust with our package." They can't contact the people they handing our package to. This one of the worst experience of my life. Usually, federal agencies are good in customer service, but the Damascus post office Postmaster just proves it wrong. How can you hold a job that requires a tremendous amount of customer service if you do not care to call back for a client that paid you for a service you promised to deliver. I do understand why President Elect Donald Trump wants to cut jobs in the federal government.

Once when mailing a package the postal employee began ridiculing my name and I asked him what his problem was with it and he said, "oh nothing, just the name of a sick murderer." Another time a friend had sent me a greeting card correctly addressed, and it was returned as undeliverable.
Then there was the time I had a package from China that showed "delivery not updated" on a Friday, I assumed it was going to be delivered on Saturday but no update. When I went by the office on Monday it was already being returned to sender and the incredibly rude woman at the counter said that they had it for four days and it was my fault for not coming in sooner. I eventually was able to get it back -- the apartment number had been cut off (a very common problem) but the postal employee didn't bother checking at the manager's office where they drop off packages they can't fit in the mailbox. And, BTW, it's not a stroke of genius that since I was tracking it through the USPS website to let the people following the package know there was a problem with it, but they haven't thought of that.
Lately the service has taken a dive off of a cliff. At my apartment complex we pick up our mail from a row of boxes that also has larger boxes for packages After years of getting packages from the boxes now they only leave letters there and every single package, no matter how small, is going to the manager's office. Like a lot of people I shop online, with packages coming in mostly from China and a smaller number from Russia.
They get across the world in 2-3 days, then show up as "processed through" US customs several days later, (the sites are either Chicago or New York) then another 5-10 days on top of that to actually make it anywhere else in the delivery chain. A few packages have never shown up and I honestly think they just got lost in the customs depot. Next is another 5-7 days to get to the Midwest, then finally to the local post office. And now package after package has been coming up as "delivery not updated" or "notice left" when there was none. I worked for one of the commercial delivery carriers and know the games drivers play to keep their numbers looking good, but it's beyond ridiculous to have to keep doing traces on packages and going out to the post office trying to find where it's at, and international deliveries taking a month or more that used to be maybe 7-10 days.

It's not even funny.

I live in Florida and sent a copy of a recent medical scan plus report to my surgeon in New Hyde Park in New York for his review. This was sent via 2-day mail. Four days later I received notice that the package was not deliverable and would be returned to me. Thus far I haven't received anything. I resent another scan copy via overnight mail to be signed for with a return receipt. The same thing happened again... Not deliverable. Apparently, and obviously, the local post office does not like to deliver mail to 1999 Marcus Avenue in New Hyde Park. I know the building exists as I have been there on numerous occasions to see my surgeon plus two other physicians.
I spoke to the supervisor at the New Hyde Park post office and he told me he would tell the mail carrier to deliver the mail. With this being the case, one would have to ask the question 'What does the mail carrier do if he doesn't deliver the mail?' Yes - totally unbelievable but a 100% true story. I still have the problem of getting a copy of my scan to my surgeon. The only solution I can think of is to go to my hospital's records department (for the third time), get a new disc (third copy), mail it up to a friend in Roslyn, NY and have her hand carry the disc to my surgeon's office. So I'm out close to $30 for mail that the post office chooses not to deliver but my surgeon will get the disc he needs.

My package is delivered but I have never seen it. They said it was left by the front door/porch. First of all, I cannot reach the customer service or a person that I can talk to as there is no such option. Second, even if I assume the package was delivered and got stolen, I can tell the delivery person is unintelligent enough to place the package obviously by the entrance instead of placing it behind the huge tall fence that encircles my house. Third, I cannot track if the item really got delivered to my house because the location scan only shows the city it was delivered. Fourth, I would rather receive a note saying I have to pick up the item from a post office than leaving the package unattended by someone's front door. So far, I have wasted a lot of time on that package I have not received. It is not the first time my item got delivered to someone, got stolen, and went missing. The money I have lost is no longer an issue. I am very disappointed about this company.

I shipped my belonging on 26th August 2016 from Phoenix and was expecting to receive it by September 9th 2016. Even after waiting for a week after expected date, I did not receive my package. I called up the service to follow-up on the location of my package. So they started an investigation. 2 days later the investigation was closed with a "Package was signed and received", even though I never received my package. I called up the customer service again to check on it. They have no proper explanation for that. So this time the customer service representative reopens the case. Few days later the case was closed again with same statement, that the package was received. I had to call again and explain them that I never received.
So this time they create a claim and they asked me to upload receipts and invoice as proof to receive the claim amount. They rejected my documents even though I submitted all required documents. Two weeks after uploading the documents, same documents that were previously rejected were accepted now. After which the status changed to claim paid on 25th October 2016. Today it's November 08 2016. I still haven't received the check. I had to spend so much time on this. I had to wait for so long and the entire process was frustrating. In the end I haven't even received my claim amount yet. Even though I receive it, it doesn't replace the entire package I lost.

I've always trusted and love USPS because of their services. However, this week I experienced something that had never happened to me before with USPS. I ordered two items from Ebay and Amazon. The third package is a gift from a friend. I checked the status and it said delivered. Checked the mailbox... nothing. I called and have to wait for ages just to talk to a real person. Emailed them. They just replied back and called me once and then don't call me anymore. I even talked to the mailman in person... he seems so clueless and give me the "I don't know what to do, I tried, I am sorry." What do you even mean. You're the one who put my stuff and now you don't even know? He's a new mailman too... the old mailman never made these mistakes. I mean does USPS even train new people? It is so funny that my electric bills and other paper in the right box but the packages are missing...
Now, my stuff is probably in other people's mailbox and they have probably already stolen it. I am super upset and hopeless. I don't want my money back. I want my stuff that I ordered and have been waiting forever. If you are going to refund me I want the refund to be double, because one of the packages is a gift from South Korea. How are you going to refund me such like that?

We have a cluster of mailboxes in a shelter near the entrance to our neighborhood. The homeowner's association says this was dictated by the Post Office. (Post Office claims it was a request of the HOA, whatever...) There are a few large boxes in the mailbox shelter for parcels, but 75% of the time, packages do not fit in the parcel boxes so the USPS leaves a pink slip in your box saying you have to drive to the Post Office to pick up the package. People who live within a short distance of the mailboxes have USPS packages delivered to their door. We are just over the proximity line for that (but still in same small neighborhood), so USPS will not deliver to our house. (FedEx and UPS will.)
My wife recently broke her leg and cannot drive, and I work in another town so cannot get to the P.O. to pick up anything during the day. You would think the USPS might temporarily make an exception for us, but after calling and explaining the situation, and asking nicely, they flat out refuse to bend at all to help us out. Recently I shipped two packages to the same customer. One was delivered, the other was returned for reason of (No Receptacle). It seems one carrier can walk in to the front counter and the other cannot. Returned to my address and now they want $5.95 for the return - does the carrier bring it to my door and ask for the payment? No.
He takes it back to the hub across town where I have to go between 11-4, wait in line and be told they only take exact change. I go get change and come back to find that the box is the one that should have been delivered to begin with. It was samples for a customer and has no value, but they will not show you the package until you pay for it. The woman at the counter seems to have a never ending string of sarcastic remarks and flippant comments for each customer as they approach. The post office in general seems to find low caliber people to engage with the public. They continue to lose money and it seems like only a matter of time until it is broken up and privatized.

Worst customer service by Postal Employee Valerie in Duluth, GA. I've been waiting on a package that has been sitting in the post office for 4 weeks according to the tracking tool on USPS.com. I've called the post office to find out why the package has not been delivered to my house and they never answer the phone. So I called the main 800 number and they told me the package was at my local post office and they could not understand why it has not been delivered.
Finally, I took a day off work to go in personally to get my package and Valerie immediately said that the package "could not be there" without even looking up the tracking number. I asked her if she could look it up in the system but she said she could not and that there was no way for her to track it. Really?! So I asked "where could my package be" and she said she did not know. So I asked again, "can you look up the tracking number and tell me what it says since it says that it is at my local post office" (meaning it was in the building). She refused to look it up or help. I left once again without my package and no answers. WORST SERVICE OF ANY POST OFFICE POSTAL EMPLOYEE. Valerie has a rude personality and unwilling to help customers.

They are going to let me know that it is not guarantee delivery for that day and the tracking information said out for delivery. I went 2 hours later and check the information said "available to pick up". I was really upset because they have wrong tracking information in their computer systems.
I went to retrieve the package at the post office in my area. They are going to let me know that the package is not there and I haven't received my package. I personally will do everything paperless because even so they do not pay attention to people mails and I see wherein I received other people mails in my mailbox. I think if you will not deliver on a certain day give an extended time and not have wrong information for people to follow.

In the last 2 weeks I've had issues with 3 packages: 1 priority mail package is lost and the postal rep called (even though I requested an email response) and proceeded to read the exact same tracking info I was already able to access online. Then she said, "The package seems to have disappeared". When I suggested she actually "track" it to the last destination scanned, she said that was "impossible." Another was misrouted to other cities and delayed by several days.
And now I have another that should have been delivered yesterday but the tracking indicates on 10/27 it arrived at the wrong zip code at 7:12 a.m., then it was out for delivery on the same day at the correct zip code but never delivered, then sent back to the wrong zip code it was previously at, at 11:55 a. m of the same day, then back to the main processing facility that night at 11:03 p.m. and now the status indicates THAT THE STATUS HAS NOT BEEN UPDATED! Seriously?
And these past two weeks are just an example of the type of service I've been receiving more, and more frequently over the past two years. What is the point of a tracking service that can't be used to actually track and recover a package? A service they charge you for but never refund you for, even though it's "impossible" to actually track a package when it has "disappeared"? I've used this service extensively for both shipping and receiving until many of my customers requested I use a different service for shipping. And now I too, will request the merchants I deal with to use a different service or I won't be purchasing from them. The items I've been expecting are rare, and irreplaceable. The stress incurred and time wasted following-up on deliveries never received are irreversible.

Customer service does not help here, they claim that packages are never opened unintentionally, and if received open they label with a "received open" sticker. Also, USPS told me my box will arrived to my parents house on Oct 15, however, I just found out my mail is still sitting in Richmond, CA. until the barge is full. Technically, my mail won't be delivered until the end of November/beginning of December. I highly recommend USPS to conduct employee training! Employees need to know how to communicate accurate information to their customers before mails are to sent out. Second, USPS employees should know all international location and post offices by heart. Lastly, USPS need to do something with their customer services over the phone. I am having a huge issue with delivery of mail and packages. It started in 2015 when I had to replace my trash can 3 times prompting me to install security cameras. What I found is that if the trash men placed the can near the mailboxes after emptying them, my mailman would ram them with their vehicle. I filed a complaint on the USPS website and shortly after my mailman left a notice threatening to cut off my mail service if I inconvenienced him again. That notice was left on a trash day when the cans had been hit by the mailman again.
After the threat to cut off my mail service I filed another complaint online and the mailman has switched to abusing my packages or refusing to deliver them. The favorite seems to be leaving packages on top of the mailbox by the street for anyone to see and take. If the packages are too big or too many they get tossed out the window near the mailbox even if there is a puddle and it's raining. In one case there were about 6 small individual packages, after about the third one the mailman got tired of placing them on top of the mailbox and started throwing them in the drainage ditch next to the mailbox. Sometimes they fill out "sorry we missed you" slips even as I am walking up to the mailbox.
The postmaster at 78653 doesn't seem to be able or willing to fix the issues. I have talked to several neighbors that have similar issues but are unwilling to pursue them after being told that their mail service would be cut off by the same postman. I do not know the mailman's name but he drives a black Jeep Patriot Texas out of the 78653 Manor TX Post office. This was a very bizarre event. I am not disclosing what state or city I live in because I like where I am living, and don't want it to reflect poorly on the City. This is probably one or two bad apples in the midst of many good ones where I live. But first, the USPS agent I spoke to at first said the item was indeed signed for on 19th September 2016, and delivered. First, I never signed for it; and then, I said no such thing appeared on my computer. So I filed a case, and then when a supervisor at the actual local post office called me, she put me on hold and asked the carrier about the item, she said she had made an arrangement with me to leave it in my mailbox with the signature card. It was left in my mailbox, per my request, as I have a signature card.
I had to do that because they would lie and put that signature confirmation card in my mailbox and say I didn't answer the door. Probably because they don't want to walk up the steps. But anyway, the post office agent I spoke to incidentally told me that should not have been done by them in the first place. But after I said that was impossible, and that it was NOT left in my mailbox, then she asked her again, and she said her assistant knocked on my door (I was home) and then proceeded to put it in my mailbox.
But before that, she must have gotten nervous or something because she asked me if I wanted her to send me the signature she claimed was my own; which she never did. How could it have been left in my mailbox, and have me sign for it also?? It's true what they say, "A liar needs a good memory". She obviously didn't. So on the 24th of September 2016, my neighbor who is in number 10, knocks on my door and gives me the package! She said it was in her mailbox. This was after 6 days.
My neighbor always checks her mail everyday and would not have waiting that long to give me my package. This makes no sense. So, something isn't right here. Why would a carrier know that I am in Apartment 11, and then put it in 10, after an attempt to knock on my door? In addition to that, my signature card that's left in my mailbox, indicates that knocking on my door wasn't even necessary. I want to document this and warn other buyers and sellers of this very obviously an attempted theft, this kind of thing is getting worse. This was an attempted theft in my opinion. After I reported it to the fraud division it suddenly shows up that Saturday? Beware, buyers and sellers. There are charlatans at many USPS offices. Use USP or FedEx for International mail as much as possible.

First of all, DO NOT pay extra money to track your mail as their website is ALWAYS broken and your mail cannot be tracked.
I swear, I paid 5 times more for the tracking and their website tracking system is broken, so I tried to go ask for refund. A ** lady came out with horrible attitude like she's the court judge and told me that there's no refund on tracking as long as the mail has delivered. What's the point of getting tracking if there's no tracking, and who gave them the right for no refund when the payment for tracking does not work? Yes, they talk like they are the government officer because the government back them up and you can't sue them since USPS is part of the government department. What a third world country huh!
Furthermore, I have a PO Box with them for years. Amazingly, I can never renew my PO Box rental fee with their broken website. Their "never heard of" auto-pay system only ATTEMPT to charge your card once in every 2 weeks, so if your due date is in between their 2 weeks before their next charging attempt, good luck, YOU ARE LATE and your PO Box will get cleared out within 10 days after the due date. And there is no option for PAY IT NOW and their so-called ONE-TIME PAYMENT never exist on their website due to their website glitches which their staffs admit but won't do a thing about it.
When I emailed them and told them their website issue and my problem on paying, someone finally responded with a generic answer copied and pasted from their website, and I wrote to them again, and they reply is if I can't go to the local PO Box office, I am screwed! I swear to God, I was shocked when I read what the staff replied me as telling me it is what it is with their system and I should solve the problem myself or my PO Box will get cleared out.
Their system refuses to charge my card ON TIME, and there's no PAY NOW option at all (they keep saying there is when their website has issues and never bother to fix), and they accuse me of late payment. And they refuse to charge my card over the phone or email, or at one of their other locations/kiosks. We are like living in the '70s that I have to show up at the exact office where my PO Box is in order to pay. It doesn't allow anyone to be out of town and yet, it's a PO Box! Hooray!!

We have lived in Lakeland, FL, for about 5 years now, and the local post office is a joke - one of the most incompetent, disorganized, and crazy bunch of lazy people I have ever dealt with. First, we get mail from about 3 blocks away in our box (which means they probably get some of ours too). Secondly, the carriers have inconsistent times and then miss half of the street sometimes. One carrier in particular - a fat woman who stays at the local Dollar Store in the bathroom for too long - even was cleaning out her mail truck in front of our house! Also, packages have been lost - more so in the past couple of years than in my whole time of receiving mail in my life - and there are days when the mail carriers just drive around the neighborhood aimlessly without knowing what they are doing. And, oh yes - we never have the same carrier twice, save the fat woman previously mentioned, and that causes more confusion.
There have even been complaints from others about mail being embezzled or stolen by carriers on the postal routes here. I would recommend that a law be entertained that would hold the carrier liable for lost mail, and even criminal charges if necessary - if the carrier is not bringing mail when you know you should be getting it, it means they are accomplices to theft.

I own a business on eBay and Groupon. I have been using USPS to mail all of my orders for the last year. Like I also have a "normal" job, I am not able to make it to office times and always use the Kiosk late at night. For the last year, USPS has lost 0 of my packages till last week. September 9th, 2016, around 9-11 pm, I log in the Kiosk, print my labels and put all my packages in the collection box (as always) and send them in. Mind you, I have been using the same technique for a year now. A week later, I'm getting complaints of my customers not receiving their items. I search their tracking numbers and all of them seem to be stuck at that facility because they never got scanned again. Only the "Accepted" Scan was available. I kept receiving emails from angry customers and when I add all of them up, it was a total of 22 missing packages. For this reason, I lost money, got my account suspended and now owe over $2,000 in refunds.
I went down to the Post Office to resolve this issue and the supervisor was no help at all. She told me to contact USPS that she can't do anything about it. I contacted USPS and they just opened a case for me for each package. When it is 1, 2 or 3 packages lost, it is a loss but when it is 22 packages missing, it is more than obvious that someone stole them. They don't want to do an investigation and like they were First Class Mail they won't reimburse me. This is completely unacceptable. They need to do an investigation as to where are my packages. They have proof that I send them in the collection box (they have a camera pointing at the collection box) but they don't want to deal with the mess.
If someone is stealing packages from the Kiosk they need to find out who is doing it and either reimburse me for some of the packages or find the culprit. It is obvious that it's one of their USPS employees because 22 went missing. I need someone to give me advice as to what can be done. Because if they have camera proof of me putting them all inside the collection box then why not look what happens to my 22 packages once they are on the other side (inside) of the collection box. I have all my tracking numbers and they never got updated once accepted in that facility.

Finally, a perishable items all displaying Protect from Heat are clearly indicated on the label, these items are left at the door when knowingly my wife is home cause the vehicle is parked in the driveway. I wanted to mail a letter with couple pairs of kids' earrings. I checked on USPS website "Estimate Postage", picked the option that this is a regular first class. Letter with rigid objects, the estimated postage is 47c + 21c of non-machinery fee. But when I got inside the Berryessa Postal Office, the service woman told me it has to be sent as a package and the cost is $2.62 instead.
I also dropped a letter with a piece of cotton choker, the service woman said I would need to pay 20c non-machinery fee for it. Note she said 20c not 21c. I said I didn't think so because the letter is less than 3/4 of an inch which is limit of slot width for machine scanned mail. She insisted that I pay 20c more, I then asked to see her manager. She looked around and said it's my choice to drop the letter in the nearby mailbox, or paid her 20c for her to take the letter. I chose to drop in the mailbox.
I have got a feeling from her that she's just trying to make me pay more than needed. This is ridiculous to get this feeling of being cheated from a USPS service staff, I have always trusted USPS till then. Not sure if anything can be done about it, but just to share my experience. Needless to say, within the first 3 months 2 boxes were shot up. 5 bullet holes altogether. My house sits right behind that site. One of my bedroom windows were also shot. Police called. Nothing can be done because no one had seen it happen. Just was told to move the box. The postal service refused to allow the box to be moved.
I have not received any mail in over 4 years. I tried the po box thing, but with my handicap son it is hard for me to get out. The box was closed due to lack of payment. She received $20 worth of paperwork from the PO with order numbers & tracking numbers but never got the stamps. I tried to contact them online but (like United) they refuse to be contacted online, so mom called the number on the paperwork. After a few hundred dollars worth of "investigation", they told her, "We delivered them. If you didn't get them, it's your fault." USPS Insurance paid for pkg.

I printed a priority 2 day label and scheduled a pickup for Monday 7/22 by the mailman. My package Sat all day and was never picked up on Monday. I called customer service. Could not get through to rep from their automated service. It was not an option. Once I finally did get transferred it was a 40 minute hold, and I got nowhere. They said they couldn't tell why my pkg wasn't picked up and to leave it out the next day for pickup. The next day it wasn't picked up until 4:37 PM. Now knowing that you screwed up on Monday why wouldn't my priority pkg be picked up first thing on Tuesday?
After it reached the hub in Rochester that evening my pkg showed a delivery date of Wednesday, so I thought "great. They are making up for the problem with pickup." When it didn't arrive at the receiving end that Wednesday I checked tracking again and the expected delivery was updated to Thursday now. I thought well at least I know, and let the receiver know.
Come Thursday no package, no tracking update. Tried calling USPS and now a 30 minute hold, so I call the local office again. No help. Can't tell me where the pkg is or why it wasn't delivered and that they only guarantee express mail! On Friday they call back. Still don't know where my pkg is or why it wasn't delivered. Now it's Sunday and still no update on my pkg. I have since created an account with FedEx. I am tired of worrying about where my pkg is. Seriously what did I pay for? USPS couldn't pick up or deliver my pkg and I want my money back for shipping and insurance.

Hello, below you will read how my shipment went - horrible to say the least. I appreciate the cool pack and the foil wrapping to shield product quality. Everything tastes yummy. Will definitely order again. I am the type of consumer who is accountable, does my research, and prefers self-checkout. I do not itch and moan for nothing, and I don't patronize for customer service but rather business. That being said, I have held off this review but I couldn't be silent any more. The service here is atrocious. Before I continue, my carrier David and Ms. ** in the front are always professional and pleasant. I have NO qualms with either of them. This isn't my first issue with this PO.
A package was out for delivery and I was expecting several things that day. My mail like most runs at a certain time each day, at that specified time per usual my doorbell rings a particular way and I know it was my carrier dropping off my mail. I thought "Cool." I later open my door and my mail is outside, but 1 package is missing. I thought "No worries it must be in my mailbox." I go for my run later that evening and go check my mail. Well unbeknownst to me no package.
Taken aback, I check the tracking again. It says a delivery attempt was made and a notice was left roughly 1.5 hrs before my other mail was delivered (keep in mind the parcel showed 'out for delivery' earlier that morning so I should have received it the same day). Dealing with the incompetent system a time or few before I figured like the other few times I would have to pick up the package the following morning (meaning I have to get up on my Saturday morning, using my resources to do their job).
Like any reasonable person you want an explanation. I was assisted, if you wanna call it that, by Tyler who not for nothing was dismissive, didn't access the provided tracking # to understand my concern. He just wrote down my address, left and spoke with my carrier and then came back saying "He says you got all your mail." I said "Are you not listening?" (I calmly had explained to him what occurred prior to him walking away), "If I got all my mail why the ** would I be here first thing in the morning asking for an explanation regarding an alleged attempted delivery and notice?" (He did NOT look in the system to understand my concern, he was turning red, being curt and cantankerous, yet still I held my composure.) He says "Your carrier is sorting and it will be delivered today." (How do you know this if you haven't even LOOKED at the tracking information?)
I was there to pick it up, he says "no" essentially. Obviously I am not satisfied with this. Cowardly and very unprofessionally he says he will call up a supervisor. He sends me to the side and begins assisting other people. I wait and I look at him after he finished helping the 3rd person like my issue hasn't been resolved and there has been no sight of this ungodly supervisor - Tyler says he will call again, but wham - Up comes miss wobbling Melvin. She (and by she I do mean he) cuts the corner, sees it is me and stops as if to say (something she isn't man enough to say out loud) and proceeds wobbling to the counter.
I briefly begin to explain, I am cut off - she says it will be delivered today. I said "Why isn't anyone listening to me?" I had the tracking # written down. He says "I don't need the tracking # right now." I begin to reply, she cuts me off again "What is your address? Write down your address." I said "Tyler has my address. I am not here for my address I am here because of what your system said." Melvin the supervisor is still deferring to speak with the carrier. Neither he nor Tyler have reviewed the system information at this point, both being very cantankerous for no reason whatsoever. But when miss Melvin raised her chipped tooth voice, I IMMEDIATELY asked her "Do we have a problem? Why are you raising your voice?"
She is turning to walk away because I won't do what she asked me to do and write down my address, not HEARING that "I have already written down the tracking # and if you want my address just take the paper from Tyler!" But no, she decides to say "You have a problem. You need to find somebody to help you." (Keep in mind I am a Dr.) "Looking at the way your existence is set up you shouldn't be diagnosing anything for anyone." He comes off like one of those people who have no authority in their real life and run with their title and boy does it show. He is a very insecure man and acts elitist and grandiose but there is NOTHING that justifies such a nasty know it all disposition.
Now the gloves are off. Tyler finishes the customer, and calls up someone else, but not before I step over and let it rip. I had enough of the rude unprofessional dismissive humans. I was ONLY there because of their system! Tyler begins to repeat his same tired line, but by now I am so done listening he couldn't get a word in. "You want me to show my **? Ok I will." He FINALLY inputs the tracking # and sees my concern. He is now speaking to me with some decency so I lay off giving him what he was originally giving me. Up comes miss wobbling gap tooth Melvin, interjecting herself towards the end "I saw the package today. It is going out today." (I thought you needed my address? o_0, just proves you were being big and petty which isn't becoming of someone your size.) Must be nice to be psychic.
The parcel was priority today and I should have received it 8/26 - miss Melvin did say something about it not being Amazon Prime or whatever but the package is time sensitive and can't be left in heat/storage for extended periods of time thus my NEED to ensure I receive it. Now the quality of my item is in jeopardy due to their incompetence. Tyler asks Melvin if he could call the carrier up, and miss Melvin goes back and gets him. He says it wasn't him who attempted a delivery. I said "I know because I heard you ring the doorbell later that afternoon with my other mail, I just assumed it was in my mailbox. When it wasn't outside my front door when I gathered my other parcels; I want to know why it says an item was out for delivery and an attempt was made and notice was left but I do not have my package and none of you can explain to me why that is." Chutzpah!
I spoke with 3 staff members who could not offer me a logical explanation as to why a package shows scanned, out for delivery, and a delivery attempt being made out of the norm of my usual delivery time. I was home at that time. There was no attempt, and most importantly there was no notice left! I do not understand why no one at the post office could answer my question. They all said "I don't know." I left without my package and without a logical explanation. Terrible. Chutzpah! Very unprofessional, rude, dismissive, discourteous, curt, cantankerous individuals like miss Melvin and Tyler need to learn how to COMPREHEND. I thought you had to pass tests to work at the PO, they had to slip through the cracks.
I received a phone call from a 770 # from the complaint I filed. I asked her "What happens next?" She says she documents that she apologized to the customer and doesn't know what if anything happens after that. But she did refer me here. Sounds like they are just taking the information and not holding the accountable. Oh and I am not sure what a parcel locker is, given the box was left right outside my front door -_- (see attached).

USPS sucks!! Another third grade service after DMV. There is no guarantee your mail gets delivered especially if you are sending outside of US. They say they have an agreement with the country you are sending the package to, but there's no information about the office to contact to trace a failed delivery. No accountability whatsoever. Better choose Fedex or UPS, they at least guarantee delivery majority of the time. One of my poor judgements. I take the blame for not doing enough research. The least USPS can do is to propose this to the customers: "The delivery is not guaranteed, you may choose other shipping options even if costs more."

Not long ago I had to go in person to the post office to ask about not receiving a package that the tracking # said had been delivered and signed for a week prior. It had not been delivered or signed for because no one was at home. We were out of town. Finally someone, a bunny rabbit, (I hope you're reading this) went in the back to look for it and then came back with my packet. She apologized for the mail carrier changing the tracking to delivered when indeed it had not been.
Well the same thing happened again a week after that. I checked the tracking on an online order I had purchased and it said it had been delivered. I arrived home 1 1/2 hours later expecting my package and it was nowhere to be found. There was someone at my home all day and the package had not been given to them nor was it outside on the front porch or anywhere around the house. So where was my package? I immediately called customer service and the first thing she says is "ma'am it's been delivered". I asked her "then where is it?" I went to the post office and they said the same thing "ma'am it's been delivered". I asked for a supervisor and was told that they (the bunny rabbit) were busy. I waited over 30 minutes and no supervisor ever came. A worker finally takes my contact information and says "someone will call you". Yea right.
Well guess what. I'm still waiting on that phone call. I decided to call them instead from the same number I was called from the week prior and a very rude lady answered the phone as if she was disgusted that I had dared to call the post office to ask about a package. She wouldn't even let me talk. She cut me off and said she would have someone contact me and then hung up. Well I've sent an email to customer service that's just as rude as the attitudes I've gotten so far. I went back to the post office not long after that because like I mentioned before no one ever called. Finally the bunny rabbit reluctantly appeared and with a lot of attitude told me that she had talked to the mail carrier and told them to go and check to see if the package had been delivered to the wrong place.
In that same conversation she also told me to check with my neighbors. Um no. "I paid to have YOU bring it to my door. I shouldn't have to go door to door asking neighbors about a package because your worker doesn't accurately do their job". She very rudely told me "I have your number and I'll call you." I'm still waiting. That was her way of getting me out of there because she was out of excuses as to why her mail carrier failed to do their job correctly. I ended up contacting the shipper of my package and they were nice enough to send me another one. I offered to pay them extra to not use USPS and she said I didn't have to pay and that she would request that it be sent by UPS instead. If I'd been given a choice to choose which carrier I wanted to use when I submitted my order online I definitely wouldn't have chosen USPS. As a matter of fact, I would have paid extra for them to not use USPS.
I also want to let everyone know about the USPS phone system. I called the customer service # the first time I noticed my package was missing and it took me to an automated system and then connected to a live person. Every other time after that when I called the # it automatically said "your package ending in ** has been delivered." It never asked me for the tracking #. It's as if their system is setup to block certain #s after the first time that you call. I called maybe 4 or 5 times and it wouldn't go past that message so I used my son's cell phone and it went thru the process of asking me for my tracking #. I pressed 0 until it connected me to a live person because I knew if I put the tracking # using my son's phone that it would automatically divert to the message of "your package has already been delivered blah blah blah." Of course they had no answer other than it's already been delivered. Then where is it?!?
Later that same week I had a missed called while at work. Working for the federal government means no cell phones allowed during business hours. I called the # back during my lunch break and it made that noise you get when you're using a fax machine. I hung up thinking it was a spam caller or telemarketer trying to scam me. The same # called again later that day and I didn't bother to answer because like I said before when I tried to call the number back earlier it sounded like a fax machine.
Well when I got home later that day I had an email from someone working for USPS saying they had tried to call me but weren't able to get in contact with me. My first thought was OMG they do have their phone systems set up to where they can block you from getting through to them. So you can call me but I can't call you? In the email she didn't leave her last name, a contact number, or an email address. As a matter of fact, I couldn't even reply to the email she had sent to me. The email basically said that they didn't have any other information on my package and they weren't going to do anything about it. Oh yeah she said sorry too. Needless to say, I'm still angry and I hate the USPS. They could go out of business today and I doubt anyone other than the workers themselves and their family members would care.

Let's start with the fact that I cannot get a package delivered on a Saturday. I do a lot of ordering through Amazon and I pay for Amazon Prime so I can get free 2 day shipping. I order something on a Thursday and I won't get it until a Monday if I am lucky. The best part is the tracking will say that it's been delivered. This means the mail carrier scans in my package in the morning before heading out to deliver (which is NOT what is supposed to happen) then just doesn't bother to deliver it until Monday. (My father worked for the USPS for years so I know that this is incorrect procedure).
I ordered some ink for my printer on August 2nd with a delivery date of 8/6/16. Surprise! My package didn't arrive on Saturday. Surprise again! My package didn't arrive today. When I attempt to track it the USPS has not updated any tracking info. Don't even get me started on Xmas gifts that were "delivered" and then showed up weeks later! The USPS is a useless joke and should just be shutdown!

I am very unhappy about the service with USPS. I shipped a care package my son (US Army) officer in Fort Benning. I shipped with priority mail, my box did not get delivery to the right place, but it was sent to USPS' recovery center. I wrote the shipping and sender address on the box. I asked to put fragile on it, but my box still end up unable to ship back to the sender or the recipient. It took me days to find out this happened. When I try to called the customer care center, no one willing to help but just read to you the message from the tracking bar, which I already knew from putting my tacking # in. I told them I knew my package end up in the recovery center. I asked to get a contact #, they will not give to you.
When you asked to speak to the supervisor of the customer care center, the supervisor has no care, but very little patience to help customer, she only offer customer to wait for 30 days process period. This is so bad that they are the one who is mishandle your package, but you have no right but need to wait 30 days for the process. This is not fair to consumers, consumers paid for the cost of the service, but end up I lost my package of delivery and paid for the shipping fees, but I have go through this pain to wait for 30 days before I can find out what is my next step. What is customer care center for if they do not even care for customers or they do not even do anything to help you.
One more incidence happened in May. When my son has to ship his military related items to Fort Benning from West point, the package was lost for a long time. The box did not scan it right. No one know what happened to the box, but more than a month later, the box did not get send to where it should be, but end up at my house front door. We felt very lucky that he got the box back home with water damage on some items. The whole box of items inside would cost him thousand dollar to buy everything back, plus the times to get them. My son end up has to carries all those items to airport to fly over to Fort Benning. USPS is bad choice to handle your shipping needs. USPS is not reliable. UPS and FedEx would be better choice.

I moved the beginning of July and put in a change of address. Well, since then I have only received 2 pieces of mail. I had legal papers mailed to me on July 12 and never received them. They ironically got returned to the sender on August 3rd with a sticker that said "vacant - return to sender undeliverable." I have spoke with the local office numerous times with no resolution. I filed a formal complaint with still no answers to where my mail is. The answers I get are ridiculous. Not one person has given me the same answer twice. I filed a second complaint and was told Consumer Affairs would call me within 72 hours. That didn't happen. I called again and was told Consumer Affairs was not contacted about my problem and they respond within 24 hours. Not true! I called Consumer Affairs myself and have only been able to leave a voicemail since clearly no one there answers the phone.
Two of the numbers give you a recording. The other number you are able to leave the message. I still am not receiving my mail but yet no one seems to know where it is going! This is obnoxious! Isn't there someone who can help all of us who are leaving these messages with our problems? I had to file a complaint against my last mailman for putting vacant in my mailbox and returning my mail. He decided I moved, which I had not. I guess I got too much mail for him so he just sent it all back to the senders. If I could go without using the USPS I most certainly would. This is beyond frustrating! I wanted to give them zero stars but it won't let me.

I have been receiving sporadic mail since July, our regular mail carrier has not been around. I receive my paychecks through the mail and of course my bills. I have not received any bills or my checks which usually arrive around the 1st of the month every month. In July medications were delivered to me that belonged to a house around the corner, I got in my car and delivered them. Mail that was delivered to my home mistakenly I put on the door with delivered to wrong street. Right address wrong street.
Today I went into the post office to inquire about my mail, no bills, no check??? I was informed that the supervisor was moving cars for the day and would not be able to see me. The clerk who was very annoyed and rude wrote my name and address on a slip of paper and said I must have a dog, I don't but if I did he would not be on the front porch where the mailbox is. Besides just human compassion how can a person who is collecting a check be allowed to conduct themselves so rudely in a public place. I visited the Wagner Post Office on Century Bl.

I had the absolute worst experience with USPS. I had a package sent up to me from Maryland up to State College because I was attending school at Penn State and had forgotten something very important at home. Because it was such an important item, I requested that priority mail be used simply because it was relating to a health issue and I required the package immediately. When the package finally arrived in State College, my address was apparently "undeliverable" because my name wasn't on the mail box. I live in temporary housing as many students do and share a house with 3 other people so we weren't really supposed to put our names on the mailbox as per the instructions of our landlord. Not to mention that this has never been a problem with UPS or FedEx as they have always been able to deliver any packages right to my doorstep.
Anyway because it was undeliverable, the package was sent back to Maryland to the sender. I didn't know about any of this until 4 days later when I got curious as to why my package hadn't arrived and called the post office myself. What is the point of me having text notifications if I don't get any notifications regarding my package??? Especially when it's something this important! So I asked how long it'll take for the package to get back to the sender and the post office informed me that it would take 10 days. 10 FREAKING DAYS! The reason I asked for priority mail was because I urgently required that package! And now they tell me it'll take 10 days and there's nothing I could do to expedite the process. Fine.
After 10 days finally the package was received by the sender and I asked the sender to send me the package once more through priority mail. This time I took every precaution, I made sure my name was on the mail box (even though it isn't supposed to be) and called the local post office to make sure I get any notifications immediately. When I tried to enter the tracking number given by the sender, it gave me all of the old information, as in the tracking details regarding to the first trip. This was completely useless to me so I called the post office, not trusting them, the day after the sender sent the package. They had told me that the post office the package was sent from didn't use a new tracking number, which is why I couldn't see any new tracking information, and that the package was in Maryland on route to State College but should arrive in a day or two.
Next day I call again just to check on the status, they inform me that it still hasn't left Maryland but assured me it should arrive within the next two days. Package still hasn't arrived, so I called again. This is the 4th day since the sender sent the package so I should have gotten it 2 days ago. They informed me it still hasn't left Maryland and that it's been looping in the same two plants for the past 4 days... ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME! Fed up with USPS I asked them just send it back to the return address not wanting to deal with this anymore. I won't use USPS ever again to send or receive a package.

I got a citation that it was not 36 inches. So, I had to spend 40 dollars for a new one and had heat stroke in the hot Florida June weather digging the post hole. I watched them deliver my mail every day, and they never had a problem reaching the box. Not only that, but the woman was very rude. I've never seen her before, and I went out and said "thank you lady" with a smile to get my mail and she went off about my mailbox was too short and wrote me a citation. Also, my mail is suspended until it's fixed. Not only that, but then she came to my door later with a box and said "I distracted her". She was so rude and nasty. I can't believe these people have a pension.
So, I, a single lady with cervical disc injuries who is in occupational therapy right now, just spent the day digging and trying to get heavy cement out and try to get the new one in. Thanks, my arm's in radiating pain again. The last time this happened I was out of work for three weeks. This is an elderly town and I know the guy a few houses down from me, got a love note also, and just had back surgery as well. I wonder if the USPS actually sell mailboxes and if this is a scam because of their failing bottom line.
Also, since I've lived here over 10 years, my mail has been delivered to the house behind me, and I have received mail from the house one street up. They have done this so many times I cannot tell you how many times I've called. I actually tracked down the truck on the next street over and gave it to the mailman (it was a man this day) and he said "just put it in their box". Can you believe that? He told me to actually touch and open another person's box. Isn't that against the law? I wonder how many times people never gave me my mail? I've missed bills many times.
Another time, my mother and grandmother sent me birthday cards. Both cards were ripped open and there were no checks even though my mother and grandmother said they sent me one. Also, my roommate had a few large boxes shipped to her of marketing material for her job. These big boxes were also delivered to the wrong house.
What is wrong with these people. I hate the postal service here. Another time, I ordered boots online for a costume play at college. The boots never came. The tracking showed it was at the New Port Richey post office. I went to the truck on SAT after the play was over and he told me "the box was too big so he left it at the back of the truck". These people are the worst. High dollar items left at my door & mail taken back instead of left at office as is suppose to happen, mail literally jammed in my mail box, though it does not fit - you get the gist of it I am sure. I, as many others, have complained to no avail about our carrier. No one knows how he is keeping his job.
I had an order I placed for florals for an upcoming wedding I am doing. This is purchased with another's money and then delivered to them, in person, by myself. This order was placed from China and I have used this supplier for 2 years now without issue. I have never had to question any insurance before. My mistake. She shipped right away and it tracked good, all the way to my door, where it was not delivered, but scanned as such. My mail carrier delivers our many apartment buildings first and then takes all undeliverable mail to the office where it is signed in by him and the apartment manager, and must be signed out by residents only. I picked up another package that day as I had a slip in my mail box, and asked about this package as well. It was not left with them, and carrier even signed in as 1 package.
I gave until the next day, as he is doing something with packages between scanning and actual delivery the next day (as I have been informed by both apartment office and post office alike). It was a replacement carrier the next day, so I stood with him as he checked the remaining 20-25 packages he had in the truck, and the package was not left in the truck from the day prior. We are towards the end of the day for that route.
I called the local post office and the clerk said he, himself, checks the trucks every night and he hasn't had anything left in his truck for quite some time. I replied that was odd, because this has happened at least on three other occasions in the past couple months. He went on to say how they have great insurance for lost or stolen mail, etc. The clerk then stated how he can't say much about it, yet went on to say he has suspected him of this but had no proof. I figured at least I can get the money back and reorder in time for the gal's wedding still, and the mailman was caught. Not so...
He had asked that I recheck with the apartment office, which I did, and then return his call. I tried and got a replacement clerk and left message. I tried again after an hour or so and got a busy signal for over 2 hours straight. The next morning I started calling upon opening and did not quit until I got someone to answer. It was the same guy I talked to, he did not remember me even though he commented he had gotten my message from when I quickly returned his call as he asked, and he had left for lunch within 10 minutes of talking to me. (He stated how the note was in front of him, he had not gotten a chance to return my call.) Needless to say, he was very rude and short with me and stated there was no insurance from what he could see on the package tracking info, and there wasn't anything further he could do before talking to the carrier.
I have not heard back, so I called the 1-800-# for mail theft. The lady was very pleasant and upon pulling up the tracking, knew exactly what I was talking about. He normally delivers all buildings first and then the office as I stated. However, the package delivered to office was scanned delivered to office/receptionist. Then one minute later, the missing package was scanned as delivered in/at mailbox. This is not even possible in no way shape or form. It would take him one minute to get in his truck and get going, let alone drive back to our building going 10 miles an hour or less. When doing so, it takes 4 minutes and 36 seconds. Yes! I was furious enough to try it.
She opened a case and it is undergoing investigations. However, I may not ever see any money back for the order as she said that would have to go through the local post office, that I should call them and see what they are willing to do. The guy I talked to already said he couldn't do anything and that he was positive the carrier would say he left it at the door. I cannot believe that in knowing their worker is stealing other's property, they are going to turn their backs on it. This is Federal. Shameful, shameful, shameful!
I will be giving them just one chance to make this right. If it gets me nowhere, all my documentation will fall in the lap of our local reporters. We, as the public, look at the USPS as federal employees and trust in them as such. I never knew until it happened to me just how unorganized and unethical they really are. I will be switching to UPS and FEDEX only now. USPS has gotten way out of hand and certainly does need an adjustment, from standards and morals all the way to protocol and thievery. Just unbelievable from a federal agency is all I can say!

USPS is either totally incompetent or run by thieves. I go for weeks and do not receive any mail and finally receive tons of mail. I ordered a part from ebay and tracking states they arrive but never in my mailbox. Just order 60.00 carburetor and tracking stated it arrived but not in mail box. Either the route person is stealing the packages or placing them in wrong mailbox. Before hiring, USPS should require applicants to take and pass an IQ test!!!

It took them one week to deliver my mail – the one I paid extra to get delivered in 2 days. Worse postal service.
