Really, really dont like how most of my packages arrive to me broken and thrown around, or stepped on (with visual boot print!). I ordered a 14X14 Farberware Griddle BRAND NEW from a very reliable independent seller, and it arrived to me in pieces. I have photos of the box and item in perfect condition before it was shipped by USPS, then photos of after I received it in the mail via Priority Mail. Thank god my seller sent it via Priority Mail and had insurance! Otherwise we both would have been up the creek without a paddle, and me out of $38.99 and a new griddle that could not be found anywhere else during the holidays of which I needed it desperately for. We are still trying to fix our now broken electric griddle all because USPS workers cannot learn how to read the rather large red “FRAGILE HANDLE WITH CARE!” sticker on the side, nor do they care whether it has one or not.

Also, I use a lot of the free shipping boxes for online purposes and I’m just curious if you could maybe make another shape of the "small flat rate priority mail" box? I would really love a mini version of the large boxes that was flat rate and maybe the size of 2 of the small dvd boxes put together? And a small issue with your "large box" that isn't really any larger than the medium, but costs me $15 which is ludicrous to ship a box! I feel like if your larger boxes weren't so expensive, a lot more people would be able to use them. Happy Holiday's:) <3

I have been trying to find a package USPS apparently lost, and it is literally impossible to get help. If you call the USPS number and try to speak to an agent (because the tracking website says the package was inexplicably delivered in Buffalo NY rather than the Phoenix delivery address), you have to wait through an 8 minute redundant survey, and then you don't get a person, you get hung up on. Twice. Then you go to the post office and wait for a half hour... And then you are told you are in the wrong line, you have to wait another half hour in the mail pickup line because only they have computers... How in this day and age can a company survive with such AWFUL customer service? I would never have used this rotten company except that I was receiving a package and the sender used FedEx who apparently are used to USPS as a subcontractor.

I got a parcel shipped to my hotel and the tracking # said it was delivered 5 days before I got there. When I got there, the parcel was nowhere to be found. The problem could be that the hotel lost the parcel, but when it was nowhere to be found there, I contacted USPS to try and see if they could give me more information, and make sure it had been delivered. So, I was on hold for about 30 mins, and a pleasant lady told me they would look into it and contact me.

I hadn’t been contacted the next day, and I’m leaving for home soon, so I call back with my case #, and sit on hold for another 20 mins, only to be told that they have no more information available about it and that they can’t help me. I was very unhappy about how long you have to sit on hold just to talk to someone, and then be told they can’t help you. Also, I tried calling the local USPS office, and couldn’t even talk to anyone. I am very dissatisfied with the customer service provided by USPS.

USPS is the worst company you can use for your needs, be it business or personal. I have nothing but bad things to say about them. All of their employees are rude and disrespectful, and they NEVER!, and I mean NEVER! deliver the packages on time. The reason I am writing this is because USPS is destroying my relationships with certain business because of their stupid time management. I have ordered many packages with 1 business day delivery and I have never gotten them within one business day, leaving me frustrated and getting into arguments with the people I do business with. So if I could I would leave a 0 star review for these people who do not care about anything. USPS should be only be used for filling your mailbox with coupons and all the business regarding shipping should be handled by Amazon or FedEx. Absolutely frustrating.

At my job, I am supposed to receive a paycheck every Friday in the mail. Recently, I have had 6 checks come in 3-4 days late. Kroger, my place of work, has the correct mailing information as I have received 3 checks since I have changed my address to my current PO box. It is very aggravating to not receive checks on time especially when I have payments that are due or I have to make a purchase.

Recently I had yet another bad experience with USPS. My package tracking said it was delivered and to my horror I did not find the package. It was never delivered to me. So I promptly opened a case with USPS. USPS called me 2 days after the issue was registered. The mail was mis-delivered to some other house and the unknown neighbor was kind enough to drop the lost package at my doorstep. I was lucky to find the mail even after having a tracking number.

Mailman tries to mash DVD disks into tiny mail slot, delivers mail to wrong addresses, and randomly leaves "sorry we missed you" notices instead of just dropping off my packages, which forces an errand to the atrociously run shabby ghetto post office to wait in line to pick up packages, nobody answers the phone, and the "supervisor" can't do anything.

The 3rd claim was a ** stall & all 3 became no response. The 4th package I decided not to pay Insurance, since it's WORTHLESS anyway. The pkg (I send a lot of packages) had "HEAVY" WRITTEN on all sides (18lbs. Website says max 70 lbs) & went to many cities that are not the normal route before being delivered to the wrong post office for pickup. THEY SHOULD MAKE NOTE ON SITE, “DON'T EXCEED X lbs or postal workers will destroy the pkg!!!” At least you would know BEFORE YOU PAY WHAT IS "HEAVY"!

The package had a Bday gift for someone. Till date I don't have any information about the package. No tracking updates are there. I got a case registered but it’s such a slow process. This was supposed to be a 2 - 3 day delivery! One package I sent from Portland to Maui took nearly a MONTH. My son didn't have ANYTHING to open on Christmas. I mailed it on Dec. 12th and it got "lost" in California for weeks. It took many hours on the phone with USPS representatives to locate it and get it to Maui. Now, the package has been going from Indianapolis, 20 miles away to the destination, for three days now. The tracking updates are inaccurate as well, it is obvious. I don't know what's going on, but no one will help or direct me to a complaint line. My error in using the USPS may end up costing me hundreds because the phone will most likely not reach the destination by the due date. Don't even get me started on my carriers and the way they leave my mailbox open in the rain while leaving me to sort the mail in my box to correct recipients' boxes...

What is the purpose of priority shipping... if nothing comes in the allotted time??? I buy a lot of items online through a site called Postmark. Unfortunately, all of their shipping labels are USPS Priority. I ordered a package from City of Industry, which is roughly 35-40 miles from me. So it should take one day. Why did I check tracking and my package is in USPS Middlesex, MA? How did my package get there? Why is my package there? Things that should take 2-3 days are always delayed. Another instance, I tracked a package and it was delayed.

Finally, two days later, it said it was "delivered, handed directly to an individual" BUT IT WAS NEVER DELIVERED. You call and can never get through without waiting on hold for like an hour, but I waited and complained. My package ended up in my mailbox 2 days later though it had been marked as delivered previously. I truly HATE USPS. They are the WORST organization. I wish we didn't have to use them anymore.

It should've been delivered the same day it arrived at my local office. Now this second package arrived in a city 15 mins away and sent back to the regional distribution center. This is something that happens often. It's no wonder that so much money is wasted behind their doors.

A few months ago I sent a friend a package and it kept coming back to my local post office. It took nearly a month for her to receive it. We are 1000 miles apart but there's no reason why reading comprehension is so low when moving packages. At one point I reported a package lost. They updated and said they couldn't find it after I finally received it. I tried to notify them. They sent another email saying they cannot find it. I complained to the postmaster and he said it was impossible and wouldn't even give me a refund for the stamps even though I had a receipt of my purchase.

Ordered diabetic testing supplies to be delivered to me today by USPS. Tracked packaged. Was "out for delivery." Mail delivery, including two other packages arrived on time. Called local PO. Was told my package was "misrouted" (in other words, a PO staffer took my package and placed it with the packages for a different route than mine). So it is not my carrier's fault. I fault the driver of the other route who obviously pulled the package from his parcels and left it at the station without telling anyone. OR, if that driver did tell someone, I fault the PO personnel who let my package sit there all day, didn't give it to another driver to deliver to my home, didn't contact me to tell me my package would be late. Nothing.

I had to call to ask where it was. Now it will be delivered tomorrow. What if I needed those diabetic testing supplies today?? The PO should have made sure that the package was delivered to me on time, or at least by the end of the day. No excuses. Just do it. BTW, this is not the first example of incompetence by this local PO. I can't wait until Amazon starts delivering packages right to our doorstep by drone. Take the USPS out of the delivery chain. Said it require 3 dollars of postage. I had put 2 stamps on it. I took it to the outpost post office and the clerk was surprised it was returned. She showed me a card with slots. The small one was 1/4 in thick. The card did not slide so it required extra postage to the slot that said large envelope. Which it went through just fine and the amount of postage already on it was adequate. She suggested I take it to the main post office.

When I arrived the clerk only put it through a small slot. Said when it doesn't fit through that one it’s considered a parcel and it is 3 dollars. Really a kids card. The manager said the same thing and another employee said I shouldn't have bought the card, really! The unfriendly manager and the employee which wasn't even involved was rude. The clerk helping me seemed to want to help was trying to be nice. I buy cards like this every year. I reluctantly paid the 3 dollars because I want the kids to get the card. I am so done with the REGULAR mail in our neighborhood and we're not even talking about using USPS for packages because that's not even an option at our house. Our neighborhood had the bright idea to name the streets the EXACT same name, and give them the EXACT same house numbers. i.e. 12133 Cold Harbour LANE and 12133 Cold Harbour DRIVE. If you have to deal with USPS it is a nightmare and worth it to pay the money to use FedEx or UPS whenever you can. I cannot tell you how many times our mail goes to the next street over as the mail carrier's run is designed to go back there first and our mail gets put in their box because it is 2017 and people cannot READ.

We have contacted USPS numerous times about this and basically it comes down to moving to get a carrier with common sense (or not having the excuse that the streets are the same name). The house is being rented, so good luck trying to contact the people that live there to ask if they have our letters. I'll be glad when they officially go out of business. I believe a private company could do so much better. No point in wasting whatever money that is being used to fund those jobs if they can't get important government documents to the correct address, and I have to spend precious time and money trying to get my important letters resent.

Mail theft is occurring weekly in my residential area. We consist of tightly packed residential neighborhoods of about 3000 homes. USPS is calling it rural, but it is hardly rural. Myself and my neighbor were hit the delivery period of 9-28-29, 2017. We do not know if others are missing mail from that time yet. We reported it to the police, USPS and I sent out emails to my whole street informing them of what is going on. We discovered that one street over was hit the week before and damage was done to their cluster box so everyone on that street knew what happened. Our box was undamaged so we had to wait to find out that Credit cards were opened and checks stolen etc. I personally lost a large check that I had to put a stop payment on. I still have not received it so it is now assumed stolen or lost.

My neighbor had charges not his on his new corporate credit card and this is how we discovered that our mailbox was breached. I discovered that a few streets over was hit the week after we were. This is all from people I know because there is no system in place to inform anyone to look for missing mail. Nothing is ever done to help solve the problem by USPS and our complaints fall on deaf ears. USPS 'makes' us use the cluster mail box system that is just a target for mail thieves. Pop one door and thieves have access to 15 or more households mail. The units are un-monitored and an easy target for thieves and identity theft. Nothing is safe. I suggested going back to mail slots in garage doors where we can at least make it difficult for thieves. Slots can be protected by an alarm, video surveillance, a dog and the home owners themselves. Cluster boxes there is no control at all. If we need to reduce the delivery days, so be it.

Back to home delivery is a great solution to so much theft. Also, mail personnel often do not use officially marked vehicles or wear uniforms so citizens cannot identify a genuine mail carrier. Another good thing for thieves. They evidently can use unmarked vehicles if the area is considered rural. Give me a break. We have sidewalks, houses are so close we can hear each other talking in our backyards. And were talking about a large area of many neighborhoods. We are a city. City of Roseville. Population of over 87,000.

The reason for this review is no one is listening. This is a big problem and the USPS can only cry about not having enough money to operate. If this is true, maybe they should rethink how they operate. Currently unsafe mail is useless to me. USPS can only be trusted to deliver ads and I hate the ads. So what good are they. My birthday cards are getting stolen and the gift cards removed. We have to do financial transactions online because nothing can be trusted in the mail. I sweat when I need to order my new checks because my credit union is 300 miles away. I could go on and on but I am going to give you a break and shut up now...

I go the local post office wait in line for an hour only to be told it says delivered and they will give me a call in 48 hrs. This is not the first time something like this has happened. My zip code is 30096 and there were at least 10 people in line with delivery issues. It is ludicrous that I have to take hours out of my day to go and check up on the postman and To find out where my package has been hidden. Maybe the USPS should start hiring people that are committed to serving others and not to serving themselves by way of taking packages that don’t belong to them.

Also when you try to create an account online it says username already taken. I have tried the most random letter & number combos and Still nothing worked! That's impossible!

USPS is absolutely shameful. Let me start by talking about the post office at home. There are two post offices relatively close to where I live, but one is closer to our house so we chose to get a PO box there. The people who work there are terribly rude and won't hesitate to send back a package if it isn't picked up within a couple days. Sometimes it's just not possible to make it to the post office when you're busy during with work, school, etc.

I went to the post office to mail some books back for school and I already had the label printed out, but I needed some tape to attach it to the box. I assumed a post office of all places would have tape and let me use it, so I waited until we got there to ask about the tape. The post office was particularly busy that day and I waited in line for about 5 minutes before finally making it to the counter. I explained the situation and they refused to let me use their tape. Instead, they gave me some stickers that are normally used to put the shipping address or return address, then they sent me to the back of the line. I had to use about 6 of the lined stickers to make sure the label was securely attached to the box and then had to wait another 5 minutes or so in line to get back to the counter.

Now I'll tell you about the issues I've had with USPS delivering to my college dorm. My college is about an hour and a half away from home, so when I came here I was hoping the postal workers would be better than the ones back home. I guess I was wrong. I recently ordered a package from Amazon and, to my surprise, they shipped it via USPS instead of the always reliable UPS. The package was ordered on a Friday and the estimated delivery was Sunday. I was shocked because I thought USPS wouldn't deliver on Sunday, but I wasn't going to complain if they did deliver it that day. Sunday came around and I got a notification on Amazon saying they attempted to deliver the package but "the business was closed."

For starters, I live in a dorm building that has someone at the desk 24/7 and the building is never closed. Secondly, I talked to the person who was working the desk when USPS said they tried to deliver the package and that person said USPS never even came to the building. So not only did USPS delay my package by a day, they also lied about trying to deliver the package. Whoever is in charge of USPS, they should be ashamed that the company is so terrible.

I expected a package today, but I had to leave the house for about an hour. When I got home, I tracked my package online to find out to my disappointment that it was delivered and I quote: "Your item was delivered at the front door or porch at 12:28 pm on October 5, 2017." Since I didn't see the package at the front door or porch, I immediately thought that someone must've stolen it. I was very upset but decided to wait till the end of the day before I start making phone calls.

I had the same experience prior to this one a few years before where the tracking results showed that something was already delivered when it wasn't. Lo and behold... The package came about 6 hours after. So why did they say that it was already delivered when it wasn't? And to think that they are also so specific with the delivery time and location is just beyond me. So for half a day, I have been worried sick for no reason at all. USPS... Can you be more diligent the next time? Your service is just horrible.

I have had 3 packages lost in 2 months. All while having to call the 800# and cases opened them nothing getting done. Then instead of calling you or trying to do something, no email at all. I will go look and find the case closed and all I get is an email from USPS wanting me to do a survey on how they did! The wait time calling the 800 number is horrible. On top of everything else my last package that was lost they said it never left the post office. What? Yes it did! I have had it showing on its way to Los Angeles sitting in delayed delivery for almost a month now. I am dealing with incompetent people who work at the post office who should not even be working because they can't do their job. So now I go researching and find that the sender is supposedly cracking down on employees because packages and mail are being withheld to meet their quota!

I understand a package can get lost or misplaced every now and then but not 3 in a short amount of time. Sick and tired of calling the 800 number with no answers and sick and tired of consumer affairs not doing their job either. Why am I paying for postage? When I have customers asking me where their package is there is a problem. USPS needs to get off their ** and start cracking down on these employees and firing them. It's ridiculous for consumers to depend on the post office to get their mail delivered and we pay them and expect them to do their job but they do nothing. All the meanwhile I have to waste my day placing calls just to find myself sitting on hold to open a case on a package that never gets looked into. I end up having to refund my customer and not only looking money in refunding but never getting my item returned which I'm still waiting on a package that was to be returned to me over a month ago!

I am seriously thinking of getting the news channel involved over this. How come USPS CONSUMER AFFAIRS has over 1600 complaints??? Also whenever you call a consumer affairs office all you get is a recording. Leaving messages where nobody calls you back. I am beyond fed up. I am at the point where I want to scream! I found one number so I called and spoke to a Pauly who said, "Hello how can I help you?" and before I could say a single word out she said, "Please hold" and had put me on hold for 10mins. She takes me off hold and I told her the problem I was having with my package and how it has yet left the NJ sorting Facility. She transferred me to someone else who puts me on hold for 1hr and 4 mins before I hung up.

I found the number to the NJ sorting Facility and called. I spoke to a Sherry whom I told what was going on that 3 other USPS workers had told me it was there and had been for the past 4 days and as yet hit Virginia. She got real snob with me and told me it had left the Facility. I told her that the day of delivery was today. She replied, "I wish they would stop doing that, it will get shipped out when it gets shipped out!" I asked to speak with the Plant manager. She replied, "That's not going to happen!" When I asked why she replied, "We have workers that do that job. Would you like to be transferred to one?" Without a choice I said yes. Some Zdel guy that said he works as a BCA who I couldn't really understand answered and I told him what was going on. He said he would go look to see if my package was still there and give me a call. US POSTAL employees have discovered how easy it is to steal Amazon, QVC or other large retailer shipments without any issues. I learned this, this year as after 17 years of no theft service, with packages coming to me straight to my postal box at the local post office, I've had 3 jewelry items taken this year alone. These are items that go straight to me at the post office and require a signature. They have all scanned as having arrived at my post office, Canoga park branch in California, and in the 'process of distribution to box' which would mean having a notice left that the item was available at the counter for pickup.

But that is the last scan these packages ever see as while in the hands of postal employees IN the post office building, they are never seen again. After having to file complaints on all these packages I find that QVC, EVINE or AMAZON process a claim the same day and process a refund to victims as well. The companies verified they don't even file police reports, they simply get the post office to reimburse them with TAXPAYER MONEY for the stolen items. And postal employees know it's this easy.

It's easy to identify expensive items coming from these companies... Small boxes with 'Amazon/QVC/Evine/etc' marking on them is a clue there's something easy to steal and of value, and which will be easily paid for by the USPS and no investigation started. I've tried to report these situations to USPS but there's nothing but a recorded line which never yields even a callback. Of course I can't file a claim as the seller has already done so and reimbursed me, and if I file a claim with my name, it is available for postal employees to become aware I am trying to get whoever fired. A total catch 22.

I have stopped using the post office for such deliveries and ALWAYS now require UPS or FedEx for expensive items. While USPS had been good for years, this year they turned into a professional theft ring for their employees. I HAVE NEVER HAD A PACKAGE GO MISSING OR STOLEN VIA UPS/FEDEX/DHL. A final note... I am a staunch liberal and have been opposed to privatization of U.S. govt operations as a giveaway to large corporations. Regarding the postal service, I have completely changed my position. They can be used for mail, but I will be on the side of Republicans in the future supporting the shutdown of USPS for any shipping... turning that over to the professionals.

This wasn't something that was stolen out of a mail box. This was in processing in a USPS facility, and a dishonest employee there, obviously stole the money. Nice way to treat a fellow American, USPS, and I'm disappointed that there are dishonest staff that work there. I realize there is a certain risk in sending cash in a greeting card, however, I have done it many times. There is always the chance, someone may steal it from a box, however this happened in your facility, and was purposely taken by one of your staff. Whoever did this, saw it was a wedding card, as the card is intact, and it’s the envelope that was damaged. Very disheartening, and disappointing; I certainly expect better than this.

Mind you I called 3 days before telling them it was delivered to the wrong address. So I again explained to them the problem. They told me they would get back with me again. I finally had to call back a few days later since no one called me. In the meantime my niece brings to my attention that no one had moved into the apartment in Bellville and that the package was delivered to a vacant home. Come to find out the mail carrier knocked on the door and since no one answered and there is no mail box only a little mail slot on the door for paper mail they just left the package outside the door. That is when we assumed it was stolen.

I sent in the complaint and did an insurance claim to USPS since the things in the package were done personally for my niece's daughters and ranged over 75.00 worth of personalized items. I sent in a letter, pictures of the items and the interference of address before delivery date. Well they denied the claim and stated that their records indicated that the package was delivered as addressed. I was so upset cause they were gifts that I could not just buy from the store. I got them especially made and it cost me money. Also USPS sucks!!!

Went to Bent Tree USPS Office, origin of service. Unmotivated, disinterested and rather useless clerk stated the documents weren't sent from Dallas until 8/22/17 - unable to supply a valid reason why my Priority mail sat for 3 days awaiting transport. Still if sent 8/22, why on 8/26 still in transport? Couldn't offer a valid reason - "maybe it was delivered and they just didn't scan it" she says. Really? Isn't that the purpose of a TRACKING #? Scottsdale is less than 1/2 hour away. It arrived in Phoenix on 08/18/2017. When we called, we were told that the box is sitting in a truck and it won't be delivered until the truck is full, that they were not going to waste the gas to drive it to Scottsdale. From now on, we're using FedEx or UPS. I think that if the Post Office are not willing to provide the service we pay for, they should let their customers know or return the money. I can understand weather or other problems out of their control but this is just unacceptable.

I signed up for "Informed Delivery" well over a week ago and have not received even one notification of mail deliveries, even though I have received mail every day since signing up. Certain types of mail are excluded, I get it; however, regular letter mail (not junk) isn't making the cut either. I sent an inquiry about this and got the most canned response I have ever seen. It "could be" this or it "could be" that, just a list of excuses in canned format; clearly zero effort had been put into the response.

Recently, I was due to receive a new credit card but it never showed up. This is one of the main reasons I signed up. Around that time, mail had not been delivered to me for several days in a row and that was extremely unusual. My hope in signing up for Informed Delivery was that it would show me images of mail that's on its way. But it appears that I will have to continue to be dissatisfied with the USPS and as "uninformed" as always.

I'm genuinely not sure what I find more frustrating, the fact that the majority of the carriers in Biddeford Maine 04005 are extremely lazy or incompetent. 9 times out of 10, mail from different addresses reaches my mailbox, while most of my mail is failing to be delivered. As it stands, due to the part of town I live in, I have a big sign on the door, which is directly beside my mailbox, stating to deliver any packages in the rear of the building due to thieves in the area. On the rare occasion that any packages do make it to the building, they get delivered to the wrong apartment, which is entirely confusing because it is a duplex, not an apartment complex.

It is not difficult to read a tag that says which floor to deliver a package to, and yet with the notice on the door and the packages having clear addresses printed, our neighbors end up with more sensitive materials that need to be delivered properly and with care, rather than laziness and incompetence, one fine example, I had found a large envelope addressed to me, rubber-banned on the outside of my neighbor's mailbox, the tag clearly said it was for my address and floor, I am far from impressed.

It really irritates me that even after complaining to the post office directly, nothing is done, and no one does their job correctly. So now I am complaining to you CA! The laziness, incompetence and lackluster performance is endangering my household due to the abundance of sensitive documents that I rely on being safely delivered to and from the USPS, just for lazy carriers to toss around without a care in the world. Something needs to be done about this, and the carriers need to be held accountable for their incompetence!

We have missing mail both incoming and outgoing. Our packages are so badly damaged from being shoved into our street side mailbox and left hanging by out for anyone to take that we have had to replace several times. The carrier has pulled up in front my home and continually honked his horn at my family members who by the way we're not blocking the mailbox.

This personal and deliberate and evidently is no concern to the his government agency we know as the United States Post Office. It is an unsettling that this carrier has his hands on my personal mail. I am still waiting on return phone calls and was told to consider purchasing a PO Box. Seriously? USPS should take care of business and offer a PO Box to me for free because of the idiots I have had to deal with. Unprofessional mail carrier and unsatisfactory resolution - Mail suddenly and mysteriously wasn't being delivered to our home in Sanford, FL, beginning in early June 2017. This lasted about 60 days and through five face-to-face visits to the brick-and-mortar post office and mail annex, and multiple discussions with USPS employees (including the USPS delivery supervisor). We didn't request that this happen, this is the direct result of unprofessional behavior by the mail carrier, as finally confirmed by the delivery supervisor. Per the delivery supervisor, our mail carrier was given false information by a neighbor that our house was vacant and the mail carrier used that information to hold and return mail without our permission or knowledge, and without verifying the information with her supervisor or with us as the homeowners.

The postal carrier did not leave a "peach slip" to let us know that the mail was being held and would be sent back after 10 days. After 10 days without a change of address form submission our mail carrier started sending all the mail back, and continued to do this with all incoming mail until early August. This began in early June and ended 8-3-17 but only after 4 separate visits to the post office and one visit to the post office annex between June 21st and July 31st, 2017. At no time during any of those visits did anyone inform us of the hold the mail carrier put on our mail without our permission.

Mail delivery finally resumed on 8-3-17 after multiple conversations with the delivery supervisor, but we have lost whatever pieces of mail were wrongly returned to sender in June & July by the mail carrier. (The mail that wasn't received during June and July 2017 contained at least one medical bill that went to collections, as it went unpaid because we didn't receive it. We only found that out after the aggressive debt collections calls began. Who knows what other important mail was in there? We sure don't.) We noticed mail delivery slowed down then stopped altogether during the first couple weeks of June. We hadn't requested any mail be held so we went to the Sanford post office on 6-21-17 to try to solve the problem.

We were told at that time that no mail was there or being held at the annex so we put a hold on the mail ourselves for 2 weeks via usps.com. (We put a hold on the mail because we were genuinely worried that someone was fraudulently using our address and then stealing all the mail that came.) We got the accumulated held mail on 7-7-17 (we actually requested it be sent to the main post office, but half of it was inexplicably delivered directly to the house and half of it we had to go to the annex to pick up ourselves). Mail delivery did not resume after that like it should have, with zero mail delivery to the house between 7-7-17 and 8-3-17.

We went to the Sanford post office twice more during that time with no real resolution and no mail being held for us or delivered to our home. On 7-31-17, we finally were able to speak to the delivery supervisor in person, who determined that no mail was being held for us at the post office or at the annex. He then directly contacted our mail carrier, who had this story to tell: roughly 30 days prior (per her account, around late June/early July), she spoke to our neighbor (not us) about our mail delivery. This neighbor falsely told her that our house was vacant and that no mail should be delivered to our address. Based on that information alone, without consulting us, the mail carrier took our mail & held it pending change of address request.

We had absolutely no idea that this is why our mail was AWOL, and during the 4 times we went to the post office and once to the annex, no one told us this was happening. Per the mail carrier, since the mail wasn't picked up after 10 days she sent it all back to sender and began returning mail as it came in. Between roughly 6-8-17 & 8-3-17, the only mail we received was the accumulated mail after the 2-week hold we put on the mail ourselves. Five separate visits to the post office and the annex in June and July after the mail started going MIA in June 2017 and there was never any held mail to pick up during that time, and no one ever told us that this was occurring or how to resolve it.

The delivery supervisor has since told us the postal carrier is being disciplined and mail delivery has indeed resumed as of last week, but we're extremely unhappy that this happened at all. It was highly inappropriate for the mail carrier to speak to any neighbor about our mail delivery and she should never have used that sole piece of information from a neighbor to determine her course of action and hold our mail without our permission and without confirmation. She also should have notified us of the mail being held, which wasn't done. We also dispute her timeline: she stated that she began holding mail for us approximately late June 2017, which is untrue. We noticed delivery issues in early to mid-June, and we began researching the delivery issues in person at the post office and annex five separate times starting mid-late June and ending on 7-31-17.

We requested any and all held mail be given to us during each of these visits and no held mail could be located during that time. If her timeline is right, one of our visits should have coincided with the 10-day pickup time she said was determined for us, and there was never any held mail that could be located. We are currently and will be dealing with the repercussions of this mail carrier's actions for months to come. Thanks for blind-siding us and acting inappropriately and unprofessionally, USPS.

I remember when postal jobs were top-drawer positions - you almost had to KNOW somebody to get in. Today, the USPS seems to hire apathetic employees, prevaricating (lying) customer service, and nurture an absence of diligence. About one (1) year ago, a package full of medications went missing. Found that the postal carrier "couldn't find the address" - after "knocking on some doors" allegedly. So the meds were returned to sender. I was lucky to have a diligent pharmacist, who knew we needed the meds, and it was during the pharmacist's call we learned of a "problem" with package delivery - only with USPS! We filled out, and submitted, an authentic, post office form regarding package-handling. I felt the need for same was excessive, but our medications come by mail, so preventing future problems seemed reasonable. Until an attempted/missing delivery on Tuesday, July 25, 2017.

On July 25, 2017, we were supposed to get a package from Amazon. We did not. Tracking showed USPS had delivered same, but a quick call to Amazon, and conference calls between USPS, Amazon, and us proved otherwise. A USPS "investigation" was implemented. Investigations, per USPS typically last 2-3 business days.

Day 1: USPS called our home saying the package "was delivered to a local business." Okay. And... Why hadn't said business returned package TO USPS? Strange, right? Day 2: USPS called (Saturday, like working a weekend makes ANY difference on the perception of their flawed processes) our home stating: "The carrier said the package was left by the steps." My first reaction: utter BS. Specific orders have been left - and REITERATED upon implementation of current, USPS investigation - that ALL packages delivered by USPS MUST be left ON THE PORCH. No packages are to be left "by steps," in "mailbox," or "at neighbors." Further, ALL NAMES, of EVERY PERSON RESIDING AT THIS ADDRESS, were detailed/submitted on the "USPS package-handling, instruction-form."

Day 2 (11:30 am): Regular carrier (versus part-time carrier) delivered package! Apologized for USPS dropping the ball. Delivering-carrier questioned; found package was NOT delivered to correct address. Further, remember the carrier had TWO stories about where/how delivery was made, somewhat solidifying her... errors. Package assessed for damage at 2:15 pm heat (we've been in triple-digits for about a week) got to one item, after 4 (four) days in Limbo..."on the steps... at the business..."

Package contents were perishable, and yes one item perished. Why? Absence of due diligence by USPS by not delivering correctly and in a timely manner, letting heat get to items. Will contact Amazon about resultant shoddy delivery, and replacement. Shame on Amazon continuing their collaboration with USPS. Shame on USPS trying to pass off delivery excellence, and covering (sloppily!) with inaccurate defense(s), when delivery did not occur as promised and/or stated for this package.

This simply illustrates the incompetence, ineptitude, and carelessness (as in they could "care-less"). They neither have any responsibility, nor any answer-ability... as demonstrated by this useless webpage to provide their disgruntled customers an outlet to vent their frustrations and anger against such a monolithic and uncompetitive organization... who will spend tens of millions in advertising their inferior services (to UPS and FedEX). The USPS survival as an autonomous organization is clearly dependent on taxpayer support and funding. My own outrage began with someone sending me an emergency of my blood pressure medication (that I ran out of). It was a simple matter for the USPS to get the small Priority Mail Box ($7.65) from Phoenix AZ to Long Beach CA.

The Priority box went out on Thursday afternoon from a Phoenix P.O. Considering the close proximity of Phoenix to L.A., it should have only taken 2 days- i.e. delivery on Saturday. There was obviously NO delivery on Saturday-- as could have reasonably been expected. Okay, we'll give the USPS guys an extra contingency delivery day considering their anticipated low level of competence. ALAS, no delivery on Monday either. I could have had the box delivered by bicycle within that time, but now that my blood pressure is through the roof because of the USPS's incapability to perform simple tasks-- like delivering the mail, I now tracked my package to ascertain where the USPS predictability screwed up:

    1) The package was received by the post office on Thursday afternoon at 1:55PM. 2) July 20, 2017, 5:08 pm Arrived at USPS Facility PHOENIX, AZ 85028. 3) July 20, 2017, 8:58 pm Arrived at USPS Regional Facility PHOENIX AZ. 4) July 22, 2017, 2:18 am Arrived at USPS Regional Facility BETHPAGE NY. 5) July 22, 2017, 2:20 am Departed USPS Regional Facility BETHPAGE NY. 6) In Transit to Destination ON ITS WAY TO LONG BEACH, CA 908024718. The item is currently in transit to the destination as of July 24, 2017 at 9:20 am. It is on its way to LONG BEACH, CA 908024718. According to the USPS tracking, the package simply sat in Phoenix on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, and finally on Sunday-- some dumbass USPS employee sent the package off-- not to Los Angeles distribution facility, but across the country to Bethpage Long Island, NY.

Perhaps these inept postal workers that sit there and collect fat government checks and pensions-- should let more qualified temporary seasonal employees like high school students, show the post office how to be more efficient. If they let the robots run things, the robots would certainly know the difference between the East coast, and the West coast. This **-up is totally inexcusable and an outrage... Would anyone want fly on an airplane built with this level of competence? Why should the USPS get a free-pass... and not be answerable for such colossal incompetence?

I would give Zero star if I could. USPS is HORRIBLE! HORRIBLE! HORRIBLE! I shipped a package a month ago to China with a tracking number on the receipt they provided, they said the package should be arriving within a week. After one month waiting, the package is still not arrived. I called the customer service and waited on the phone for over 2 hours. Tim, a supervisor on the west coast, told me that the tracking number USPS provided is NOT trackable even inside the US, they can't find where the package is. I asked him if the tracking number USPS provided to customers is not trackable, why USPS provides to customers? Why can't they tell customers at the very beginning? He said it's their USPS SYSTEMS FAULT. Sounds like he can't do anything about it. So here was a heavy lesson I bought with a heavy money: DO NOT USE USPS SERVICE UNLESS YOU DON'T CARE ABOUT ANY SHIPPING PACKAGES GETTING LOST!

I have filed 34 complaints over the last two years regarding my USPS mail pickup/delivery service and have yet to receive any resolution. I’ve spoken to local, regional, and national customer service representatives of the USPS to no avail. Starting in early 2015, I began scheduling package pick-ups through the USPS for priority mail packages – a service they offer and frequently advertise and promote. My mail carrier would only follow through with these scheduled pick-ups occasionally. At first, I told myself “he just forgot” or “everybody makes mistakes sometimes.” After it happened for about the 5th time, I decided I needed to file a complaint through the USPS. A cycle of missed pickups, filed complaints, and lack of response has continued ever since.

The vast majority of the complaints I file are ignored. In fact, anytime I file a complaint about a package pickup request that was skipped, a few hours later I receive an email stating the package pickup was successfully completed. At first the blatant lying shocked me, but it has become an ongoing occurrence. I actually expect it now. On the rare occasion I have had the opportunity to speak to a local representative (perhaps two or three out of my 34 complaints), those conversations all followed the same pattern – the representative says they talked to my mail carrier, the mail carrier claims he never missed a pickup, and the representative tells me the problem has been resolved. They brushed me off completely.

In 2016, and a full year into my problems with the mail carrier, I installed a camera. I then had proof he never even set foot on my porch on days he skipped mail pickups and then filed false successful pickup reports. The availability of this proof has done nothing to change the situation. The camera is still there. He still skips pickups – and lies about it – and no one does anything. I’m really at a loss as of what to do next. How can this kind of terrible performance be overlooked and ignored for so long? I’m not asking for special treatment. I’m only asking for the USPS to provide a service they are supposed to provide, but quite frankly I have no idea how to make that happen.

There was a package sent to me from eBay. I got a notification that the package would be delivered on the 15 of July 2017. When that didn't happen I tracked the package to find there was an attempted delivery and a note was left at around 6 pm. Well I'm home and no delivery or note on my door. I noticed the wrong zip code so I'm thinking they attempted to deliver to the wrong address. Upon contacting them on the 17th Monday at work when they opened the phone service said the hold time was an hour and 40 minutes. Couldn't do that so I called the seller. He attempted to help by opening a search.

I finally got someone on the phone that evening after a hour hold time just for them to tell me I had to wait for a response to the search which takes 3 days. I asked how did the zip code or whatever caused the package to be re-routed and she never answered. She said they'll look into that but someone has to pay for it to go to another address. Don't know if it's some type of scam but all the info is correct on the sender's website. USPS's customer service is laughable and their ability to handle a package is even worse. I wish I could give zero stars!

On 6/9/2017, I mailed a tan birthday card in the collection box on Vassar Drive and Freeland in Detroit, Michigan at 7 AM. The box indicated pickup would be at 1 pm. I had a return address in Detroit and the card was going to a P.O. box in Riverside, California. I made sure I had the correct postage and address. I'd made the mistake of putting some cash in the card. I figured whoever felt up the envelope would not feel anything like a gift card and would not be tempted to steal it. Boy was I wrong!!! This is the 7 mile, James Couzens area which is serviced by the 7 Oaks mail station.

It is now 6/29/17 and the card was never delivered to its destination. I called the U.S. Postal Inspector who referred me to the Office of Inspector General. Both call center personnel were very nice but told me if I just "mailed" something without a tracking #, I was out of luck. Apparently if there was a "trend" of complaints coming from a particular area, they could look into but... "Tough cookies lady."

Now you ask, "Why would I think employees at the 7 Oaks are stealing?" My sister mailed a birthday on 6/6/17. She put it in the mail slot at the 7 Oaks postal station. Guess what people, her card has yet to show up at its intended destination also!!! She had enclosed a check! I believe that the thief(ves) are targeting envelopes that look like they contain cards and money and/or gift cards. My sister also attempted to file a complaint with the offices I mentioned earlier.

The agent I spoke with at the Office of Inspector General indicated there were several opportunities for the mail to be stolen. This is a warning for anyone using the U. S. Postal Service. Do not assume your letters or cards will reach their destination with merely an address and stamp. You must, I repeat must pay extra to obtain a tracking. I believe that's the only part of the mailing process that may deter an internal thief. I learned the hard way.

I put tracers on it and called my post office, along with the NY post office but magically, the item has disappeared into thin air. Now I'm wondering why there is no accountability of that post office since the package landed there and now it's gone... where??? I could see if it was lost in transit but no, it was scanned in at the post office where it was to be delivered from. What recourse do we have when this happens. They should be accountable. I refunded the customer their money and now I'm out that money and the product. What can we do about something like this?

I checked the status on day of delivery and it says they attempted to deliver but no one was there to accept. The notice was in the mailbox and my fiance is a stay at home mom, so I am led to believe that no attempt was made and in reality they intended for me to pick it up from the beginning. I feel cheated out of my shopping costs, because I expected to have my item today, but the notice says to come pick it up at 8:30 the next day. Unfortunately, we do not deliver packages to the door. Even though you are only a quarter mile from the mailboxes, we deliver to the cluster boxes only with the exception of Sunday Amazon delivery. I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. Please feel free to contact me if you have any further questions."

When according to the rural carrier handbook it states the following: "331.21 Attract Customer to tsox. If a parcel is too large for the box, make a reasonable effort to attract the customer to the box to receive the parcel. Do this by sounding the horn or by hailing the customer. If unsuccessful, you must deliver parcels to any residence or business that is on the line of travel, or within one-half mile of the route and has a passable road leading to it. You are required to dismount to effect delivery if there is no response to your efforts to have the customer come to the vehicle, or if the customer requests that you do so."

I only live a quarter mile from the cluster box. For the most part most cluster boxes are in developments (communities). Nothing on their contract mention anything about not driving on development (community) roads. Other thing I have noticed is that they scan the parcels still at the post office stating that the mail box is full, they never bring out the parcels. Can someone help me on this. Thank you.

For quite a while now the postmaster of Salisbury, NC Post Office decide that packages that do not fit in the mailbox will not be delivered to the doors. I shop online often on sites like Amazon and I have a history of problems with non deliveries and even being treated rudely on the phone by Post Office employees including the postmaster who beside of being rude, behave very unprofessionally. I was supposed to receive a package today, a while back I signed to receive updates by email of my deliveries with tracking numbers so I have been getting emails for this package too.

At 10:15 am the email shows that the package was out for delivery, then later at 11:22 am it shows that it was Held at Post Office, Retrieved from full parcel locker. When I saw the last update I called several times to the post office and the line was either really busy or the phone was unhooked to avoid callers which I strongly believe. I called the USPS 800 number and they were not really helpful either. I contacted Amazon and while I was on the line they called again to the 800 number with the same answer and result. They were going to send a message to the local post office and I would have an answer within 3 business days. If this was the first time this happens, I would not be so upset but this is the daily bread.

Later in the afternoon I finally got somebody answering the phone at the post office, her name is Dana or so she said. When I started inquiring, she asked me where I live and then said that they do not deliver packages where I live and my usual mail person was not working today. When I am off like today and I am expecting a package, I meet the mail person at the mailboxes to get my deliveries but if she is not working, they do not even bother to load my packages in the truck, or like today if they did, they retrieve them. When I insisted asking her why the package was retrieved, she asked me for my phone number saying that she was going to research and would call me back, but that call never happened because Dana was just trying to get rid of me.

I was supposed to receive another package today, the first time I went to the mailbox, I found the "Sorry we missed you" notice for the package retrieved in the mailbox but nothing else. Later on I received an email that the second package was delivered and it was in the mailbox. When I went to the mailbox again, the second package was there. Apparently somebody from the Post Office took a special and earlier trip just to drop in my mailbox the notice for the package being held and then my other package was delivered by the mail person later on. Apparently for them it was easier to do this than just deliver my package to my door which is very close to the mailboxes.

During one of my previous incidents with the post office, the postmaster tried to justify her refusal to deliver to the door saying that some apartments complex in the area are not safe for her employees. When I clarified to her that my apartment complex is not one of those and she did not have a solid argument to justify the lack of service, then she started getting defensive, blaming my regular delivery person who like today was off the day of the problem. When I said that I have never had problems with other delivery services, she started saying that UPS and Fed Ex do a bad service too, trying to justify her bad work, which I found very unprofessional. If this story sound familiar, please come forward and share your experience.

They have several times delivered our packages to 2530 Michigan Ave. (my VIP box) instead of 2580 Michigan Ave. I had to physically go the address and ask if they got my package which they did. So the package has been recovered by me. This post office is notorious for not paying attention and delivery packages to other addresses causing delay, time loss, and unnecessary aggravation. It has now been several times we have had this happen.

Most of the time people pay for Amazon Prime to get same day to 1-2 day free shipping (which Amazon complies on their end effectively) and because of the carelessness and incompetency of your carriers it delays our packages 4-7 days after we were suppose to have received it, before someone retrieves it after filing a complaint or the address which was delivered to, realizes that the package didn't belong to them.

It's becoming a loss of money at this point. I will be filing a complaint with whoever else I have to regarding this particular facility about this issue. There should be a class action suit for negligence against this facility and money loss for premium services some of us pay to ensure quick delivery that we aren't able to enjoy since packages are misplaced or delivered to the wrong address every time. The entire Osceola county is having the same problem. How about you read the Google reviews this specific facility has been getting.

Wait... What! First of all that pick my mail up so that is not it. Second of all I never told anyone I was moving anywhere or told them to forward mail so come again!

I was not satisfied with what he told me and he didn't seem over concerned. He just said that he put back in the system as me and my daughters still living at address. Well Mark my mail should have never been stopped to begin with. Never apologized to me just repeated the same thing over to me. I asked was the ID there or any of my mail and he says "no" really fast as if he never even looked. So where is my daughter's ID? If within another week DMV doesn't have it mailed back to them or if it has gotten stolen because of this nonsense Mark we will have a big problem. I went to USPS at 1 Floretta Pl, Raleigh, NC at 11:15am June 5, 2017 to renew my US passport. An Asian woman clerk criticized my picture, "You must have a smile" and sent me home. I then read US State Dept Passport Requirements online and it reads "you must have a neutral expression or a natural smile". My picture is perfectly neutral and even has a hint of a smile. On top of that, this Asian woman has an unpleasant attitude, with no smile and rude expressions. The USPS management must retrain this woman clerk, or their review rating will continue to decline below a "1" rating. Reviewed by a USPS customer, SCC.

The USPS is the most horrible business out there! They continue to lose packages and not 1 USPS rep cares. NOT ONE! They have lost first class mail and priority mail in my case. I call them but can't get a live person. Just a continuous phone loop. I don't even know why I'm posting this nothing will get done! The USPS should be closed and mail service privatized. Maybe then people might do their jobs. I just want the package I paid for. Why is that so hard? Really I need answer on that. I'm confused how they get away with this.

This is taking advantage of consumers!! Unbelievable. Fraud by the government of its people. Very sad.

I've been to the post office 1223 Sitter Ave on several occasions mainly to complain about delivery on several items that I've ordered via internet. For starters I start with calling three hours straight no one answers. I go in proving to the staff with a photo of my order claiming that an attempt was made, or that it was delivered. Which most of the times like today. It's untrue. Someone was home had they actually taken the elevator to the sixth floor. Why is it that government workers don't do their jobs as carriers. I complain and as it stands, to no avail. It's sad a person sits around and waits for an anticipated package. And when you go to the mailbox to check a yellow slip they tried to deliver and you were home all day not only once but after two or three attempts is beyond human comprehension. This office needs to be investigated ASAP!!!!

I shipped an item back for a return to a company, specified that I wanted insurance on the package, paid and went on my way. Turns out that the package was not shipped insured, and has been "in transit - delayed" since April 21, 2017 (today is May 30, 2017) after leaving the Bell Gardens, CA USPS facility. Look up the Bell Gardens facility online - it's apparently the black hole of the USPS - packages lost, stolen, etc. from there all the time. No way to contact anyone at that office.

USPS is impossible to get a hold of (you essentially have to trick their phone system to get to an actual human being), and when I have actually spoken to someone, their answer is that they can do nothing for me since my package was shipped uninsured. I have filed missing package claims, filed a claim with the postal inspectors, everything I possibly can and the package still has not been found.

USPS, you should insure all of your packages since you're literally the worst shipping company in the country, maybe then it would force your employees to actually deliver packages instead of stealing them or "losing" the ones that they know the company won't look for or be liable for! Pathetic. Use UPS, FedEx, whoever you have to, but do not ship with USPS, because your package will be lost or destroyed and they won't care one bit.

He looked nervous when I showed up with my empty box to report the incident. He ensured me that he would look into it by checking who was working that route. I told him I would be able to recognize the male employee who made the delivery because two packages were delivered the same day. One required a signature so I had an interaction with him. I unfortunately didn't see that one of my packages was tampered with as it was placed upside down. I highly suspect that this particular manager is aware of the theft the carriers are doing.

I also ran into a review for the same location on Google reviews where a person has seen a USPS male employee steal packages and was placing the packages into a none USPS vehicle that took off with the stolen packages. The person called to report it to the manager and nothing was done. I highly suspect that management is aware of the theft, they either are benefiting from the stolen goods or simply don't care. I never got the call back as promised by the manager Mr. **.

I ordered a cat litter with Amazon and the item was shipped with USPS on Fri, 05/05/2017. Apparently, the carrier tried to deliver the item on Sun, 05/07/2017 according to their online tracking system. I highly doubt this information because I doubt that USPS delivers on Sundays. Furthermore, my fiancee and I, we were home all day and no attempt was made and not even a note for a delivery attempt was provided. The box is a heavy one and I have noticed that USPS has failed to deliver heavy items to me for quite a few weeks.

Missing my ordered item, I tracked it down on Tue, 05/23/2017 and went to the local post office at 215 W 104th St, New York, NY 10025 where I usually pick up my items. After standing in a line with at least 2 other people complaining about USPS having failed to deliver an item, the USPS employee was not able to locate my item and was not able to give me any details on the shipping status or the where-about of my package.

On Sat, 05/27/2017, I checked the status of my package again only to read that it was supposedly sent back to the sender. I contacted USPS customer service to resolve the issue but was only able to file a complaint. I also checked the local post office again. The employee told me that the status is "returned to sender" but when I asked to speak to the manager, my package miraculously appeared and apparently another employee mistakenly pressed the wrong button when scanning the item.

This incident is not the first time that USPS miserably failed to provide a satisfactory delivery experience. For years, the delivery service has failed numerous times to deliver items and I had to waste time standing in line and claiming my package at the post office. I have contacted and spoken to the manager of the post office and the supervisor of the delivery service numerous times on the phone and in person and nothing has changed at all.

There are new panel mailboxes in my apartment building with larger mailboxes. There is a slot for outgoing mail. The regular letter carrier was very efficient at delivering and picking up the mail. She was moved to another route. Since then we have had substitute carriers on a regular basis. They fail to pick up the mail in the outgoing boxes. This has resulted in payments that I make by check and send through the mail not being delivered. I will now have to resort to paying my bills in person as the online bill paying experience with most vendors has been just as bad for me.

Also posted many letters in blue boxes on the corner that were never received. If I need to post a letter, or bill, I will have to go to the post office as it is the only reliable way to be sure that it is actually "picked up". Whether or not it will be property delivered is another story. I regularly get my neighbors' mail. The USPS has delivery used to be extremely reliable. I can no longer say that. Back to the Stone Age of in person payments, get a receipt. Online payments or USPS delivery are not reliable.

A friend told me that there had actually been theft of mail in her community of outgoing mail in blue boxes. She mailed her rent check and it was cashed by another party. The USPS is not the most reliable way to send anything, unless you pay for certified, return receipt requested. Then probably they will get it, though I have received return receipts up to one month after the item was delivered! If I had the time to run all over town I would deliver things in person. Oh - wait a minute - isn't that what the USPS is supposed to do? They really need to up their game. I would say the number one problem is incompetent staff. That has been my personal experience. And unfortunately the blue box on the corner is no longer a safe place to deposit outgoing mail.

I am a business owner and the package contained merchandise for sale. I had existing orders for the contents. The package was insured. I was advised by USPS that the carrier would be held responsible. They would ask carrier to pay the $. If carrier refused a letter of intent would be issued. Then the carrier would have to comply.

Well it is now weeks later and I still don't have my money. Why bother to insure? I was told by my PO that I have no other recourse. Really? It's no wonder USPS is losing money. They raised prices and service is worse than ever. I contacted postmaster general who referred me to Consumer Affairs who put me right back to the Post Office. A lot of good that did. I keep emailing PO and keep getting told I have no other recourse but to wait. Seriously??? The package was insured. They should refund my money and they should Shoulder the wait for reimbursement by their employees.

I am not only out the $$ I paid for merchandise, I have now lost customers and the $$ I was selling product for. This is outrageous. No one there really cares about you. Consumer Affairs is no help whatsoever so why bother having them at all. I just want what is owed me so I can purchase the merchandise again. I assure you this time I will use any service OTHER THAN USPS. I have never been so disappointed at the utter refusal to give me what I am entitled to. I JUST WANT MY MONEY BACK. Oh yeah, when I spoke to my local PO. They said employee was new and they needed additional training hahaha yeah right. I thought morals and the ability to read were a prerequisite to the job. I guess I was mistaken. In an additional note, my local PO never answered their phone. I'm not surprised.

First call I was told the address was incomplete. However, the clerk told me the route driver had the pkg and was delivering it as we spoke. But my realtor still never got it. 2nd call, different clerk, said it was possibly returned to me... however, wouldn't tracking indicate that I asked? He didn't know, he would have his supervisor call me.

2 hours later, still no returned call, I call them again, same clerk as call #2. He was just reviewing notes from the carrier who wrote that she remembers putting the pkg in the mailbox. Tracking still not updated from the 13th. My realtor doesn't have the pkg. No one know or cares where my pkg is and I have house keys somewhere lost/stolen in the mail. There's something funny going on lately. It feels as if people just do not care that much to do their jobs effectively in today's society. It's as if government organizations/business feel the need to just fill a job opening with the next brain dead operator. Not only is every comment on here accurate but it's shocking for a business to be around for years on years and still have it absolutely suck. I entrusted USPS to deliver my boxes effectively and with little to no problems, 1) for the amount of money I spent to have it shipped, 2) my boxes were packed extremely well (I even consulted with the employee to make sure that everything was wrapped and was told, "Looks perfect to me"), and 3) let's not forget the little box which you select when asked if there is anything fragile, which of course I responded to as "yes" and having all the employees acknowledge the contents and how they were packaged.

My packages were not delivered by the guaranteed delivery date or any date for that matter as I only received a return call from USPS claims department today after having waited 3+ weeks from the time I shipped (2-day shipping) and numerous calls made to them along with hours wasted on that auto ** that does not understand anything you say or type into a phone. WHERE IS THE PERSON TO PERSON CONNECTION, THERE IS NONE. I was not only informed that my boxes were not delivered but that they had also been broken along with the contents in the boxes. When I was asked what the items in the boxes were, I told the representative that it was bottles of wine. The rep responded in a shocked manner as I guess USPS is not allowed to handle wine (keep in mind I had just shipped these boxes all the way from Austria Vienna with no problems and I have all the clearances and permits needed to ship these items).

The funny thing about the whole thing is that, all of my boxes were still packed in their FedEx arrival boxes which had huge stickers all the way around them stating that the contents of the packages had "alcohol." But there is more. The clerk who took my package also decided that she was going to take a piece of paper and cover up the stickers which I found to be a little strange. Now I am sitting here writing this review while I wait for my damaged boxes to arrive at its destination (promised today) only to wait for my potential investor to give me a call thanking me for nothing. Thanks, USPS for helping to destroy a new business and ** with your customer's money and time. Get your ** together and train your employees past the point of the basics. Will never be using this service again and would rather drive the 3000 miles to deliver the package myself. What a bunch of sloths.

The staff at my local USPS branch in Hyndman, Pennsylvania, spray air fresheners that leave behind scents that literally start to close up my throat and make me sick with congestion, fatigue, pain and other symptoms for days. I've complained twice now and the problem has only gotten worse. I have a free PO Box inside the lobby that I can't access without getting sick.

In my first complaint, I asked for a response from someone higher up in the supervisory chain outside of the town instead of the postmaster because this is a small, rural town where I've seen a lot of complaints by others about everything from community problems to crimes get ignored by local and county leaders. Yet, my complaint was forwarded back to the postmaster here who treated the situation as if it was nothing. I was informed that the scents make the building smell homier and that the other 500 box holders love them.

My options according to the postmaster? Ask my landlord to pay to install a mailbox on a street up from where I live, asks someone else to pick up my mail or go elsewhere. My landlord gets his mail for free at the branch. So, why would he agree to install street box? I shouldn't have to ask someone to get my mail for me. I see picking up my mail as a personal freedom that I shouldn't have to give up because the staff at the branch likes air fresheners (i.e. I also spoke with several people around town who are equally unimpressed with the strong scents all of the time, which means that I'm not the only person who disagrees with their use). As for going elsewhere: I would have to pay for a box elsewhere and if I'm sick for a while and unable to drive I'll have to hope that I can find someone to pick up my mail.

The postmaster had finished her email to me with a short sentence that they would "try" to not spray the fresheners, which I knew immediately meant that they would probably either switch fragrances thinking that it would somehow make things better or only stop for a short period. I hope I was wrong, but then over the winter, they increasingly started using more and more different scents.

So, I submitted a complaint through the USPS Inspector General's office since this became a complaint at that point about an employee, the postmaster, who was ignoring a medical condition that falls under ADA. Yet, that second complaint was then forwarded back to USPS customer service escalation and no one contacted me about it.

Now, in the weeks since I made that second complaint, the staff have increased the amount of scents and one of the new scents is far worse. I don't know what else to do. I'm going to try to reach the escalations area at the USPS where this was supposedly forwarded and maybe try the BBB or AG? The staff are playing around with my health and life. I've lost days of work to being sick because of these scents. Also, I've had to live with the fear of "what if?" today is the day that I won't get to the Benadryl or an Epi-Pen on time. As I mentioned in my second complaint, the onus for paying for and installing a street mailbox shouldn't be on me or my landlord since the staff at this post office are choosing to put their desire to have a work place that smells nice by their standards above public health and safety.

No matter how they frame it with other options, I don't get to choose. The other options presented aren't viable ones in my situation. As I told the USPS OIG in my second complaint, I shouldn't have to be the one paying for or drastically re-arranging my life because for their personal enjoyment of something that isn't necessary to the successful running of that post office branch.

I sent a really important parcel via certified mail on April 11, 2017 and they were not able to deliver it. First, the postal workers failed to scan the envelope when it arrived as discovered by the postal investigator who was looking into my claim of lost mail. Then, I called the recipient directly and gave them the tracking number and they went to the Post Office to pick it up. Sounds simple and like a basic function of the postal employee to look up the parcel by the tracking number and hand it over - right? Well they could not even do that.

They claimed that they could not find it yet the investigator said it was at that location and had been verified. So after a few days it times out on May 2nd. The recipient went again that morning and tried to pick it up and was told that it was too late as it had been returned. A search of the tracking number however shows that it is still right there in Baltimore 10 days later. So why could they not simply hand it over? It was right there and they did not even have to leave the building to deliver it - the recipient came to them!!! They still managed to mess it up. Bottom line - it is now 32 days later and the envelope is still not either delivered or returned. If you want to lose something important by highly paid incompetents - use the USPS - they will not disappoint you! However - if you want something actually delivered - use UPS or FedEx...they actually know what they are doing.

This hindered delivery times for all major parcel shipping companies. I cannot blame USPS. Some stories I have read are one time instances, as if no other parcel company has ever made an error. One woman wrote that while USPS made an error, FedEx came through which is funny because in the 4 or 5 times a company that uses FedEx to ship my items I have ordered, they almost always have come a day later than the estimated delivery date. UPS and USPS have always delivered my packages on the estimated delivery date. USPS has also delivered packages a day earlier than estimated on occasion. I have always been treated with respect, and when I have not or felt I was treated rudely it was my mistake.

Once again, the envelope I paid $6.65 to have delivered in 1-3 days, is delayed or misplaced. Their percentage rate of successful deliveries with my sent mail is appx. 50% at the 1-3 days as advertised. My latest attempt was on 05/10/17 at 12:09 PM. I'm writing this review on 05/12/17. My envelope tracked as far as the first USPS station (El Paso, TX) after leaving the post office I mailed it from. Which means more than almost 60 hours later it still hasn't moved. And honestly, customer service is useless. They can't tell you anything more than what I can see for myself when I track it.

Walking in the post office I don't see anywhere on the sign where it says up to 5 days and most likely more than that. Services seem to be better when I just use first class mail. Only difference is the outrageous price I pay for bad service and a tracking number I get so I can track my package and get my blood pressure going cause the package I paid an extra $6 bucks for to get it there quicker and have a way of proving it was sent by supposedly more secure mail, is now lost or delayed somewhere between my hometown and the Midwest U.S.A. And the best part, no refunds for their bad service. Any other business would be out of business with this business model.

Why they can get away with advertising Priority Mail at all is beyond me. The only reason I use them at all is the fact I live in a remote area of New Mexico and don't have a UPS or FedEx store within 100 miles of me. I had hopes that one day they would get their act together. But with advances in all the new services popping up on the internet every day, I figure it's only a matter of time before the USPS becomes something I tell my grandkids about when they ask me what a "mail person" is after seeing a picture of a man/woman delivering mail in the Encyclopedia Britannica.

Updated on 05/31/2017: This is an update to the USPS Priority Mail envelope I sent on 05/09/17. After several weeks the envelope I sent finally arrived on 05/25/17, it took 16 days to get to its destination. During that time I was able to get someone to answer the phone exactly 1 time at the El Paso Sorting Facility, the last place it was tracked to. I called 8-10 times a day and after about a week someone actually answered. I was told my envelope was mistakenly sent to the Sandy Creek post office, a branch in the El Paso area. Even though they have a number listed for customers to call, no one there ever answered the phone. Not one time, no matter what time of day I called. The only positive response I got from anyone while trying to track where my envelope was from the Shawnee, OK post office. They took my info and did try and help me (they had a difficult time as well getting anyone to answer the phone in El Paso), but at least they tried.

Finally my envelope arrived in Oklahoma. It was never tracked beyond El Paso, and upon arrival it was mangled almost beyond recognition. And to top it off, the USPS doesn't guarantee anything on this service and offers no refunds for extremely poor service. Any private company that did business like this would not be in business for long. When FedEx or UPS screw up, they stand by their mistakes in one way or another. At the very least they answer the phone! no matter where you call them. Just wanted to update my review and let folks know how my experience finally ended.

This is an account for the USPS located in Briarwood NY, 11435, Archer Ave. 11435, and Flatlands Ave Brooklyn, New york. ALL: If you have phone lines, why don't you use it? On multiple occasions, I needed to contact the post office regarding misdelivered, missing, or damaged packages and not once did a single employee answer the phone. There's no voicemail or automated answering service (I assume) so it just rings until you hear the clicking of the line "Opening" and immediately being disconnected. Really, USPS employees? I'd assume that the least you could do during working hours is work. Answer the phones, assist customers... Get paid do something other than sitting around attempting to look preoccupied when someone enters the location.

BRIARWOOD: I wish you weren't so rude. I also wish that you'd actually deliver packages where they are supposed to go instead of holding them. Please remember that THEY DO NOT BELONG TO YOU. In addition, if someone pays big bucks for a package to be delivered overnight, it would make sense to actually deliver it instead of holding it "Ready for pick-up". People do not pay to pick up their own packages. We pay for packages to be delivered to the address on the label, so please read the label. Especially in your case where the office closes at 3:30 - when in heaven's name do you expect a person who works a 9-5 and specifically PAID for OVERNIGHT PRIORITY home delivery, find the time to pick up the overnight package? Would it ever arrive? I'm absolutely dumbfounded.

ARCHER AVE: It would be nice if someone, anyone would actually answer the phone. I called fifteen times in one day and not once. Did everyone call in sick? Were you all up hauled too by your ability to work an honest day? FLATLANDS AVE: When you decide on an excuse for not delivering a package, please ensure that the entire team is in on it. However, if one decides that a package wasn't delivered because the label was damaged and "Unreadable", but in my presence, another employee can confirm that there's no reason why the package was not delivered - the manager/supervisor (By title) should adhere to veracity instead of blatantly lying. I wish you could see the look on your own face when you saw that the inaccuracy was already noted. The stupidity of still attempting to prolong the lie.

You are "Adults". Admit to error and move on. DO YOUR JOBS... Which should be admitting to error on a daily basis since you're so prone to error. ALL: It's a shame you're under the label "United States Postal Service" because something that is often seen as a gov't job is so awfully managed and creates a hideous misrepresentation of the services that are offered.

I am a seller on eBay and just in the last 2 weeks the USPS has damaged two of my packages and sent another package to several states for 2 weeks. I always take extra packing box inside a box and plenty of bubbles and peanuts and they must have used my boxes as footballs. And what makes me mad is you can't talk to a human... so I keep pressing zero's and they put me on hold for over a hour to finally talk to someone that took my information and told me that wasn't her area and she would have someone call me... and of course I received no call... imagine that.

If you send a package priority it comes with 50 dollars insurance... which does you no good if you try to file a claim online because it does not recognize the tracking number. So then you have to somehow get to talk to a human so you can get a claim form sent to you, because the post offices do not have these to give to you. What really gets me is the prices you have to pay and the post office for shipping and the disrespect they have for the customer's packages.

I recently shipped a package and my claim was denied. I walked into the USPS store in Nashua NH in Feb this year. I ASKED the clerk to help me package the contents (Harley Davidson Shocks x2). The clerk was great and helped me package the box with bubble wrap etc. It was then weighed, closed and labelled and shipped. Upon handing my contents to the USPS employee I never touched the item again. I sent this priority with no insurance. Two days later the recipient received the box from his mail carrier and there was a gaping hole in it. No attempt had been made to seal this hole and the contents were gone.

My recipient denied the package obviously seeing there was nothing in the box. Now I'm sure you're saying to yourself, this is pretty cut and dry right? Box leaves USPS store after being packaged by a USPS employee, said package gets damaged and said contents go missing, so I should get reimbursed for the claim right? You would be wrong, both my claim and appeals were all denied. I submitted everything including photos from my recipient showing me there was nothing in the package, photos of the product, the exact weight of my product matching the weight of the box, receipts. testimony from store employee, he packaged the contents..

Like really. Package leaves USPS weighing 11lbs shows up at recipient weighing 0 but somehow I'm denied. I will never use USPS again. On top of all this, there is no explanation at all of what they are looking for as far as proof. Better yet, they even deny your claim and tell you to appeal but don't tell you why it got denied in the first place. Oh yeah, when I received the box back from the USPS, it was taped up nicely and said contents missing. Little bit too late for taping it up.

They do not answer the phone, nor will they reply to complaint **. This is an open case and they have NOT called or tried to rectify. Since I cannot prove this customer has this item, I will be forced to open an insurance claim. Maybe that will get their attention, but I doubt it! That clerk who decided to hand over a highly insured box without doing his or her job correctly can reimburse this item. This Edison NJ office does not answer their phone, nor will they reply to this open and active complaint! Thanks a lot for failing at your job! Then I was told I actually didn't get insurance. Why did they tell me I had insurance when I paid for it?? Lost several hundred dollars of stuff, with no recourse.

Had a package shipped with express delivery and specified date. Paid close to $40 for two day shipping from Los Angeles to Seattle. Package never made it on specified date, called USPS and was on hold for over 30 minutes and had to give up. We looked up tracking the next day and for some odd reason, the day after our "guaranteed" delivery date, it ended up in Anchorage, Alaska. Finally called again and got a hold of a representative, she was very nice and helpful I will say however I asked her to send me shipping information and tracking and I never got it.

Told her the issue and the importance of the package (prescription contacts) and she issued a "intercept", of which I paid another $22 or something like that. Well the package never got intercepted, it was delivered to the original location two days after the fact. Now I am 3 states away, with no contacts and $62 in the hole thanks to complete incompetence. I'll never USPS again, it's FedEx or UPS from now on. I can understand shipment delays due to weather but we're on the West Coast in April and I've been flying up and down the coast over the past 6 weeks with no issues at all. USPS, you've lost my business and everyone should be warned that their "guarantee" means nothing at all.

On 4/29/17 I went to the US Postoffice Journal Square location to apply for a passport for my son. When I got there I asked a lady was she online for the passport. She said yes. While waiting on line there were two people in front of me. No one from the postal service said anything about needing a number. While waiting on line I found out that the two people ahead of me as well as myself didn't have a number. Meanwhile the two people after me did. When it was time for the person in front of me to go to the counter a person behind me walked ahead of her and said she was number 8.

I asked to see a supervisor. She told me it didn't matter if we were on line first we needed a number. Instead of them starting off with the lady in front of me they took the lady behind me who was number 8... Gave me number 11 and the lady in front of me number 12. Words were exchanged because we felt it was unfair of them to call the person who were after us instead of just following the line order. I had gotten there at 10:10 am and the lady in front of me was there when I came in. After the words were exchanged the lady in front of me was so upset. Her daughter is autistic and was very agitated. By this time she was so upset she left. I pray that she complains also.

The employees at this post office are so unorganized and disrespectful. Instead of them trying to help the situation they made it worse. If they would have checked the cameras they would have seen who was on line and in what order. I'm so disgusted. The passport person took and 1 1/2 lunch. When she came back to the window it was 1:40. She went to lunch at 12. The supervisor needs to be reprimanded for her role in the horrible experience that we had to endure today. An employee named Julio... Should also be reprimanded. If not for the customers these people would not have a job. Something has to be done in order for the people who work at the post office to treat people with respect. I hope more people complain so that that station will get closed... And maybe when they have no jobs... It will be a wake up call for them to treat people with respect.

This cost us about 10% of our annual revenue. IT IS UNACCEPTABLE but they have a monopoly and they are even terrible. In comparison, we also have a production center in Europe and we never have any losses even close to those numbers over there. Actually when we ship from Switzerland to Canada it gets there with regular mail in 5 days. When we ship from the USA to Canada with same regular mail. It will either get lost or take 15 days. I sent 6 boxes from Tokyo Japan by surface mail/sea mail to the United States starting in Jan. 2017. In April, I received 2 boxes. The first box was torn apart with all my personal belongings strewn inside the box. Before it left Japan, it was packed well and taped up. When I received my package, I was shocked and disappointed to see how the American postal and Customs and Border Protection officers had mishandled my items.

I don't mind them opening the boxes to check for illegal substances. I am 100% for the protection, but please be courteous enough to put my things back into another box and tape it up. In my previous experience with sending things from overseas (many years ago), they did a great job. They opened the box and put an orange tape which said it was checked by Customs and Border Protection Agency. How I wish for the good old days when things were done properly.

Then yesterday, April 26th, 2017, I received my 2nd box. To my unbelievable astonishment, the box came intact but 40 books out of 50 were gone, no DVDs/CDs and no Campbell's soup mug (my favourite one). Soooo sad! They had the gall to leave everything out but put back 10 of the 50 books and then tape it all up to make it look nice.

I am now very worried about the rest of my 4 remaining packages coming in the next few weeks. If anyone official from USPS or Customs and Border Protection Agency is reading this, please don't take my things out and not put them back. I don't mind you doing your job and protecting our borders, but give me my things.

On top of all of this insult, I called the USPS today and told the representative my story, she listened to me for a short time before yelling at me over the phone and told me that this was my fault for not packing properly and that it is my job to go online to fill out an application to track this. She gave me the phone number to the Customs and Border Protection Agency and told me to talk to them. When I called them, they told me that it was the responsibility of USPS to contact them. So we go round and round.

Customer Service in one of the most developed country is getting shoddy. Does anyone have advice as to what to do with my packages if they come in in bits and pieces? Should I take photographs and do a documentary on this? Or would this be too much trouble? One last word, my packages are uninsured so of course I cannot get any reimbursement for this.

I went to the Irving Post Office 75061 on the Monday and asked about the package, they took my number and said they would get back to me. I never received a call. I continued to go to the post office two times each week and received no resolution or word of my package, each time being told that they would call me. I also left messages on the "supervisor’s” voicemail, but it was never returned.

After 14 days, I made a visit and was told that they had delivered it to the wrong address which was miles away, and they had tried to retrieve the package but the employee who deals with the mail was out of the office. After 17 days, I made a visit and was only told that the package was un-retrievable, and they are sorry but they are not liable because the package was not insured. Waited over 2 hrs. in line. Lady admitted they should have sent notice indicating they would hold mail for 2 weeks if box got full (of mostly tons of duplicate junk mail of course). She admitted they just put "vacant" note and sent all my mail back to sender; including tax refund and 2-day Prime Amazon package. Come on, they knew it was not vacant. Who gets a tax refund (not sure if they stole it yet) and 2-day Prime guarantee with Prime stickers/shipping and doesn't live there?

Then lady started making excuses like: "I don't know, I'll have to talk to the carrier, why didn't you request a 10-day hold at post office form?" Um, what part of emergency did they not understand and it was less than 2 weeks and they failed to comply with proper procedure and decided to send all my mail back to sender? I'm sure the carrier will lie to save their job though. They could not even guarantee in writing/receipt that I would receive my mail in the future and that they would take care of their error. If this is not rectified asap, I will never trust the post office ever again and notify the Inspector General's office. Oh, but good news... my FedEX package came right on time.

I purchased about 4-5 dozen USPS Priority Mail stamps with intentions to use the service. The USPS website states that these types of packages will be "Delivery in 1 to 3 business days". In my experience this representation is a complete fabrication. In my view, it's complete fraud. You should note that there is a footnote disclaimer on the bottom of their page that states "In most cases, the expected delivery date printed on your receipt or provided at checkout will reflect a delivery time of 1, 2, or 3 business days and is based on origin, destination, and drop-off time. The expected delivery date does not come with a money-back guarantee." The problem with USPS Priority mail is the Postal services use of the term "most". The world describes the word "most" as "in the majority of instances" while the USPS defines "most" as "occasionally", "sometimes" or "rarely".

I would strongly recommend that you do not use this service (USPS Priority) as the best way to describe it in my opinion is "disastrous". Perhaps 1 in 4 of the priority mailings I have sent arrive on time. About 1/2 of the priority mailings I have sent have some issues and MOST take more than 4-5 days to arrive at their destinations. Customer service can best be described as poor to non-existent. In my view the USPS Executive team should all be fired immediately as problems with the postal service continue and are rarely resolved. I see that over 6,000 people who have listed complaints here rate USPS 1 out of 5. Nothing to be proud about.

If you are going to charge more than ten times (regular mail vs "Priority" mail) then get it right and provide superior, not inferior service. My advice - pay bills online, use FedEx and UPS (RELIABLE companies) over USPS and pray that the inept clowns who are getting paid hundreds of thousands of dollars to run an inefficient company get fired. Sad that it's 2017 and our federal government can't get it right... once again. #USPSStinks

Not at all surprised that the current rating for this sub par organization is 1.2 stars. Deservedly so. It's unfortunate that the USPS is among the government-run services that are nearly unavoidable. Same goes for public transportation, which I do my best not to partake in. Were it not out of necessity for running a small business online, I would have nothing to do with the pathetic, unreliable US Postal Service. They just lost a package I had sent - the tracking just froze. No notification. No resolution. It just stopped. Do they hope that people won't notice that - Oops! They lost the package? How does this happen? I am in no way not understanding of human error, but this is more than just a mistake. The entire package was lost. The service they were paid to provide therefore was just rendered null and void. And they won't even take responsibility for it! It's like going to McDonald's and ordering a meal, paying for it, and then it never comes.

You cannot advertise a service for which you do not deliver. Packages lost should be 1 in 10,000 - a rare occurrence. My business is young, meaning the ratio of lost packages for me now is around 1 out of 35. Utterly pathetic! Again, they won't be held accountable for it, they lost track and hope you won't notice they screwed up. What other business is allowed to not deliver a product and still take your money, legally? This is not the only rotten experience I've had with them.

Packages paid explicitly for 2-day shipping often take longer, sometimes more than a week. Their excuse for this is that Priority Mail is not guaranteed. Then how about you charge a more appropriate rate for a service you won't even stand behind? Why even have it then? Post offices are frequently overcrowded and understaffed. The incompetency and dysfunction of the USPS is appalling. It escapes me how they aren't properly regulated and disciplined for such abominable performance.

From April 12th to now April 18th, it's a complete guessing game as to what happened and what is going on because as of April 18th I guess my item arrived at Jersey City, NJ??? So from the 12th to the 18th, my item either didn't leave the state or for some unknown and yet to be explained. Reason, my package was either sent back or ended up in Jersey City.

I never would've have dreamed that sending out an item on April 11th that not only has my item not arrived at its destination but it almost 100% is not going to arrive when I absolutely needed it to be there which is this Friday April 21st. Awesome. Terrific. Thanks a lot. Thanks very much. And thanks for absolutely nothing and now I will not be able to have my item signed at the upcoming sports autograph show.

Perhaps the worst thing out of all of this is that there is virtually zero explanation and zero accountability from anyone involved. There's been no explanation given to me and no updates as to what/why the reasons are for my item not only being delayed but why it was sent all the way back to Jersey City, NJ. I must say that the USPS is a very smart organization because they have made it 1000000% impossible to actually talk to a human, live voice over the phone in any attempt to try and get an answer. I do not know what happened and at this point. I am totally frustrated and disgusted with getting no answers, no explanations as to why my item has been delayed, hasn't arrived yet and now will very likely not be arriving by the deadline. As far as I am concerned, this is 100% absolutely unacceptable.

St Johns Post Office 11213 Brooklyn NY is ALWAYS a NIGHTMARE. This is the 2nd time this post office has lost my mail for an ENTIRE month after I put my mail on HOLD. The postal worker who processed the hold treated me badly calling me names and telling me to mind my business because I allowed an elderly woman on a cane to go in front of me. She was disrespectful and I think she spitefully did not process the hold. Her name is Ms ** and she should be fired. The Supervisors there are no better. They lie, waste your time name follow up. Namely one Ms Supervisor **.

I am so disgusted with how these people run this place. The most incompetent negligent set of people. The mail hold was not processed so the carrier took the mail every day to my box. They went to check and not one piece of mail was in my box. SECOND TIME!!! They are messing with people's lives. Had to renew my insurance, get a check re cut tax documents GONE January to February for my small company. All mail GONE. And it's a shrug shoulder "what do you want us to do."

The complaint service for USPS is antiquated, they have the same people who were in the wrong responding to you without resolving one thing. Take a look at the reviews on Yelp. They have ONE star and everyone says if they could give a lower mark they would. Lost Mail and packages every single day, hostile disrespectful workers, useless management. This is our lives they are playing with. My livelihood. The US gov doesn't seem to care and doesn't hold these people/offices accountable. They need to be dealt with. I want my mail. NOT ACCEPTABLE!! USPS is horrible. It allows this to go on. I have moved and where I live now 11215 these workers are breath of fresh air, kind, helpful, decent and professional. I still want my mail and those postal workers to be reprimanded and or fired.

Disgusted. This was a time-sensitive package and it is now two weeks. Package was to arrive by March 23. Nothing shows on tracking until March 31 and it is now April 4 and it is still showing 'in transit' - stuck in Harrisburg 17107. We've reported the problem and still no report on where this package is, when it will be delivered or if it EVER will be delivered. Mistakes happen... but... This is the second time for us. The last episode was when my DIL mailed out seven cards to multiple towns - only to have all seven cards come BACK to her a MONTH later.

I've had many bad experiences with the USPS and tracked mail. How can they sell tracking yet not be able to find and or retrieve that same mail when it gets lost in the system? I have several times had packages that had delivery dates of three to four days and take several weeks to get delivered even after a claim for lost mail was filed!. The mail showing in their tracking system as just sitting at various post offices and or just in limbo as in route to destination for days on end and never moving.

Calling the post office is a lesson in stupidity as no one, nowhere, can do anything about retrieving the package and or provide help in any way other than, "I'm sorry for the inconvenience!" How about the USPS employees do their job, they're paid more than enough to, or get off the pot. They are not needed anymore with services such as UPS, Fedex, DHL and they need to do a better job if they want to get paid because most businesses run like the post office fail! USPS and tracked mail is useless!

I'm extremely disappointed after USPS FAILED to deliver a box with EXPENSIVE shoes. I really trusted USPS and they never got back to me on my lost items claim. I had a beautiful (1) pair of Michael Kors black ankle rainbows that go for $149. (1) pair of Montana Brown Fringe ankle boots that were $60 roughly. I'm super upset since no one from USPS has compensated me for the loss of these shoes AT ALL. I will never mail anything out via USPS unless I get some sort of compensation back. I've resorted lots of people to go to FEDEX and other competitors due to the way my case has been handled from USPS. This was an error on their end and they should try to compensate me for my monetary loss. All I want is to repurchase my favorite shoes and move on. :(

Very likely, they either stole it or they just don't care. Used our oldest postal service USPS and I am having a nightmare dealing with their unqualified, overpaid, lazy, depressing personalities and I am never, ever going to use USPS ever again. So, my items are missing and all I received from the USPS was two lines stating they lost it while in transit and sent a form to fill out. I went to the nearest USPS asking them to point/guide me towards correct department but they pissed me even more and made it look like I should be the one held accountable for not ensuring my package was secured. Well, I packed and taped my box but I did not know there were going to be some bandits inside your companies who would. I won't blame anyone until proven guilty but you guys get my point right.

I have been waiting on a package to make its way from China since March 12. Of course shipping across the globe does take time and until it reached USPS hands there was very little information on its whereabouts. Then they was even less information. It was delivered to my town Friday, the 31st and was marked as out for delivery. All day. It never arrived, updates stopped working at 9:24PM and the package is now going to sit at the sort facility until Monday. I would have been fine with this to begin with but USPS blatantly lied about where my package was, and simply marked it as out for delivery when it clearly was not.

Pack n Play (not an itty bitty package.. a big one) sent by Amazon, received at DUMFRIES, VA 22026 post office 3/24 at 5:57 am (original delivery date was supposed to be 3/24). Called Amazon on 3/25; their representative talked to USPS. Told package sent to wrong PO (22026 zip office instead of 22025 zip office). Told they were transferring package to correct PO. Should arrive 3/27 or 3/28. On 3/27 tracking still showed package at Dumfries PO. Called Dumfries. I was told first (by postmistress Yesenia **) that it had probably been sent back to Amazon because they can't deliver a package with the wrong zip (Want to make sure this is clear: The USPS told me that a package with the wrong zip--all other info correct-- cannot be delivered!!!). When I objected to that I was told that it had been sent to main sorting office in Merrifield. I called Merrifield and was told they had not received it.

I opened a case via 800# to find missing package. Called Merrifield, Dumfries, and 800# again on 3/29. Everybody told me something different. No one knows where package is. Today is 3/31 one week later. I called Amazon and together with the Amazon rep we talked to USPS. Their tracking now shows that the package was received in Capital Heights, MD (!!!MD) this morning and has been sent to the "correct" PO for delivery to 22025. The USPS rep could not tell us where the package has been for a week, or exactly where it is being sent. I have spoken with some well meaning, but ineffective people within the postal service, but most representatives appear to have just made stuff up to get me off the phone, and the package was missing for a week. Supposedly the package should be delivered today or tomorrow. But, honestly, I don't have a lot of hope.

We own and love a full blood Siberian Husky, who we registered with AKC back in January. Yesterday, March 28th, we had a yard sale and a real creeper came up to me with vital information regarding my dog... the letter didn't appear to have been tampered with but we couldn't tell. The man claimed it had been delivered to his mom's house, and that it was sitting in the trash can where he found it and carried it over. He then began to ask lots of questions about my dog, like what she looked like, how old she was, and where she was at and finally if he could see her. I tried to be nonrepliant simply saying thanks over and over, but he came back later with a woman and they asked the same questions again. They left with a "see you again sometime" which doesn't give me any comfort.

Thanks to my lazy mailman, my security has been damaged and a couple of vagabonds now know I have a valuable dog and they will be watching for me to get careless. I hope no other vital mail has been carelessly delivered to other homes... I often receive mail intended for other people and once received a package for somebody who lived on the other side of town! I hate the postal delivery people here.

The same mail person trampled through my flower beds for several months and killed my baby rosebushes, despite my calling the post office to complain and posting signs. Then he made a path across my yard, despite my phone calls and requests that he use the sidewalk. When none of these worked I finally made a walkway just for him with cement stepping stones which he now uses every day instead of my grass or flowers. January was, of course, the month I had the most trouble with the fellow. I don't know if the post office will ever see this, but please rid your delivery service!

I had two packages that I NEEDED to receive TODAY. I paid for insured (signature required) priority mail so that they would be receiving today. The tracking shows that they both were out for delivery this morning. The most recent package tracking says that they tried to deliver both packages and no one was home (3.5 hours apart for the two packages which makes no sense). This is quite simply a lie. I was home and specifically waiting on the package delivery. The doorbell never rang, no knocks on the door, and I have dogs that go nuts if anyone pulls into the driveway or comes to the door. NO DELIVERY WAS ATTEMPTED. Since I leave for work before the Post Office opens and get home after they close, it will be next Saturday before I can pick up; and to top it off I missed an event that I really wanted to attend waiting on the delivery. My advice is to absolutely not rely on the USPS for anything important. Use FedEx or UPS.

Well where do I start... I had to send my package retail ground USPS due to the fact that it was perfume and that was the only way to ship it. Wasn't too keen with that but it's the protocol. Left my package with the clerk, paid for shipping on a $145.00 product trusting it with them, received my receipt with a tracking number to follow. I know it may take longer due to being shipped grounds and out of state. Well that was March 9th 2017. It left the post office that evening according to my tracking at 7 pm. Then on the 10th it was "in transit". Okay cool.

Well here's the problem by the 14th when it was suppose to be delivered but it was still in transit according to the tracking. Come to find out how about it's still "in transit" but here is the kicker. I get my package back to my home on the 18th... 8 DAYS LATER... damaged like they been playing kickball. Luckily I packed the perfume good so it wasn't damaged... saying return to sender for no postage. I'm like what???? Are you serious?? So I paid for something that now the tracking and postage is missing. You got to be kidding me. So I'm going to the post office on Monday to politely talk with the manager and see if I can get a refund and I'm shipping FedEx or UPS and I can pay more so it don't have to be delivered through the postal service at all. Unbelievable. What happen to the postage I paid for? Label is not on the package... so I have no idea where my package been or where it came from in the 8 days "I thought" it was being delivered in transit.

I did vent on another USPS internet website and how about our friendly postal workers cursed at me and basically didn't care about how I felt as a customer. Amazing how words are said behind a Keyboard and they wonder why they have a bad rep across the board. Terrible customer service. Very disappointed. Now I don't trust them with my packages anymore. Just maybe if I at least got an apology I would have been more cool about it but got the opposite. So to me I don't care about them either. I'll take my business elsewhere when it comes to my packages. I even wrote fragile on it... ha!! That's a joke.

That's 4 days (not counting Sunday because it was first class, not priority express), and First class is 1-3 business days. Also, this package was shipped an hour car ride from my house, and the time description is for across the country? The original scheduled time was March 11, and it was shipped out on March 9. Then it comes on THE 13th?!?! It was in transit FOR 4 FREAKIN DAYS! That's just the time. Other than that, the service was good. They delivered it where I requested them to (side door) and the package was not in rough delivery or messed up at all, and the tracking was all accurate. They didn't make mistakes on the tracking (like they often do) and they didn't require a signature. (Thank the Lord because I was at work!!) I give it a 7/10. I'm hard to please.

We deal with bulk shipping and use several companies but for small stuff the only option we have is first class mail and flat rate boxes. If we are unlucky and a package gets delayed or lost we must be ready to refund the buyer. Yesterday I spend more than one hour waiting for a customer service representative. They had me on hold and after over one hour they just hung up my call. This is very frustrating and sadly we can do nothing but watch our money go when they don't do their job.

I understand that SOMETIMES packages get lost or certain things will cause of a delay. But that should be rare, not the norm. Out of the last 18 priority mail 2 day packages I sent, only 3 arrived in two days. 8 took 3 days, 2 took 4 days, and the others took over a week. One even took a week and a half. There were no weather issues either.

I also ordered 3 packages from Amazon (have Prime so it should all be 2 day) and only one arrived in 2 days. one took 3, and the other took 8 because they accidentally sent it to the wrong location. There are no refunds or discounts if they are late, so there is no incentive for them to actually accomplish what that are supposed to accomplish. And that being said, it's not that cheap. Most of the packages I sent were close to 10 dollars and they weren't even big (biggest was 6x7x12. You would think with all the technology available they could handle it.

I only received email confirmation for two. The third package was never scanned. I have complained to the Postmaster and the Postal Inspectors and they blame me for the packages not being scanned. They said it is not technically mail until it is scanned. I'm confused as to why that is. Once it passes from my hands to theirs, then it is no longer my responsibility. I asked for them to prove me wrong and they will not. They would rather say it is my fault.

They said that I could not have walked into the post office with three packages. But they refuse to look at the video footage that would prove that I did walk in with three packages. Then they said they don't have cameras. Once person said they did, the other said they didn't. Which is it? Either the clerk left my packages unsecured or someone stole it. Either way, the only one affected was me! I KNOW I walked in with three boxes. Period. I have shipped a total of 30 orders and not one ever came up missing until now. I did what the postal clerk told me to do, so it is NOT my fault. And because I keep asking about what happened and I keep complaining, they are trying to intimidate me and call me a liar. I want them to stop trying to cover up their lies and find my package!
