I order baked goods from a bakery. It was mis-delivered by the post office. It was not delivered to my house. My husband & I have looked all around the outside of our house - no package. There is a street that runs parallel with our street and has the same street numbers. We checked that street and it is not there. We have no idea where the package is. We have tried numerous times to contact the post office to find the package. They keep saying it is delivered. They don't try to understand that it was not delivered to the correct house. This is not the first time this has happened. By the time they find it, if they find it at all, the baked goods will be spoiled. I have made complaint after complaint but the post office does nothing to ensure it doesn't happen again. They just don't care.

Consistent only in failed delivery attempts. I live in an apartment building with a completely accessible mail room that does not require any key to get into, yet whoever is in charge of delivering packages to my building somehow keeps failing to deliver mine. Then when I sign up for a redelivery for the next day, it does not come. So I try to call the service. The wait time to speak with an actual agent is over an hour, and just keeps getting longer. Very lousy.

Sent 3 Packages and was informed by the people that the USPS was trying to charge extra shipping. I just got the one back today and the label was changed and the package was damaged like it was tossed around and the item was damaged. The one was in a flat rate box and was charged 2.42 extra for it even though I paid the flat rate amount. Still waiting to get the other back. I would suggest using UPS Or FedEx as the USPS has gotten real bad.

No question why the USPS doesn't deserve funding. Mailed a Priority Express envelope from Palm Coast, FL to Gainesville, FL. 100 miles apart. Tracking went as follows: March 8, 2018. Two boxes mailed from NM to CA: First box is a reused regular size Amazon box, weighing 4 lbs., 0.80 oz = $9.56. Second box is easily less than 1/3 the size and weighs 1 lb., 3.60 oz = $9.56. This isn't the first time this has happened and I am sick of your price gouging. It is bad enough having to pay close to one hundred dollars a year for a PO Box smaller than a loaf of bread. I intend to write our state Senators and Congress because your federally supported monopoly offers a result no better than that of the American people paying to bail out the automakers after their decades of mismanagement and price gouging. You should be ashamed.

I sold a ring on eBay. I took it to the post office in a very small bubble envelope. I had a choice of paying 74 cents, because it could fit through the machine that they sort standard letters through, or pay $3.50 and it would not be put through the machine and I get tracking and $50 insurance. That's what I was told at the counter. Of course I chose to spend the $3.50 so that it wouldn't be put through the machine, I wasn't really worried about it getting damaged since I paid for it not to go through the mail sorting machine. The lady that bought the ring contacted me and said that it was smashed in pieces. I asked her to send everything back to me and I would have to file a claim with the post office. She sent me the packaging in everything. I tried to file a claim online and the tracking number I entered said it wasn't eligible for a claim.
So then I call the post office customer service number and after over an hour on hold was told that I didn't have any $50 insurance that only comes with priority. So the guy at the counter lied to me when he asked if I wanted to purchase additional insurance that it comes with $50? Regardless, I'm mad that I was lied to about the $50 insurance and tracking for the $3.50, but I paid $3.50 instead of 74 cents so it wouldn't be put through the mail sorting machine and that's exactly what they did and it got smashed. So I paid for a service I didn't get, so they don't have to be responsible since there was no insurance even though I did not get the service I paid for? That's unfair for sure. I have to refund this lady $27.95 plus $7.20 for the postage to send it back to me. That's not fair and the guy that lied to me should have to pay for it or be fired. That's how I see it.

This is the 3rd package that the post office said they attempted to deliver. I’m home all day, they don’t try to deliver anything, we rarely get our mail. And when you call or make your way down to any office no one wants to do their job. I wish companies like Amazon and Finish Line consider using FedEx or DHL or even UPS. The USPS is horrible.

This is the 2nd time in two weeks paid $20 to send a package PRIORITY and going on day 3 where the automated message is still in transit ---- was supposed to be delivered today! Someone needs to check into this facility (Detroit Distribution Center) as USPS will not give $$ back as (not guaranteed in their words). Then why charge extra and advertise as 2-3 day service? This is just wrong.

Had a notice to pick up a parcel at the USPS. It stated as of 3-5-18 the key was not to pick it up until 3-7-18. I stopped in the post office where the counter clerk could not even speak English let alone tell me where my package was, I ask for a supervisor who then said it was at a different location and would not be to this office until tomorrow 3-7-18. I asked if they had intended to try to re-deliver it he said he did not think so. I had just better plan on coming tomorrow to pick it up. I told him I would be there right at 7:00. I was there at 7:00. They were closed. The guy yelled, “Go away. Come back tomorrow.” This is why everyone is using everything but the postal service to send things because of help like this. I will be happy to speak with anyone and any supervisor reading this.

I had an insured package (~20 lbs, 20x10x10) that passed throughout US Customs in San Francisco without issue. Once it arrived at my local distribution center in Chicago, the package was irretrievably lost. The tracking information says it hasn't moved after 6 weeks. I filed a lost package claim and a claim over the telephone. I even provided pictures of the contents and the shipping label. I understand that they have millions of packages to attend to everyday, but every single package is important to each of their customers. I also read that any undeliverable packages are sent to a lost and found facility in Georgia where the Post Office will auction off for profit. It's very distressing to know that the contents of my package can just be sold off to someone because of the Post Office's mistake!

I recently ordered a guitar from Germany, it was estimated to be delivered around a week ago. I usually try to avoid USPS at all costs because all my experiences have been similar - it takes FOREVER to get here. I live in Indiana, for future reference. My package arrived in New York a little over a week ago. Since then, it has been transferred to Chicago, meaning it literally went PAST Indiana. After that, I enabled text notifications when the status is updated. For the past 5 days, I have been getting the same notification that it is "In Transit to Next Facility." (See screenshot from the other day attached). I have tried reaching out to local offices with no answers. How many facilities does it need to go through before I get it?? I have never had any problems like this in the past from UPS or FedEx. I'm convinced that at this rate, the package has been strapped to the back of a snail for the rest of the trip here.

Just a dumpster fire of a company, sends packages that never arrive on time, can't be picked up early, and has employees that just refuse to work. If your package comes into a USPS post office, you track it to the exact location of it, and it comes in after 7am on a certain day, there is no way in frozen hell that you'll receive it until AT LEAST (if not later) the next day.
"Why?" might one ask? Because if it doesn't ship out at 7am on a USPS delivery vehicle, it's going to sit in a warehouse, all day long, ALL DAY, on a pallet that is an average of 6 feet tall, until it's unloaded by another set of employee(s). Meaning that if you want to go in and pick up a package that's important to you, you literally can't. You can't offer to go move the packages yourself, you can pay a fee and have it given to you, no. You have to wait, a whole 24 hours more, for an already delayed package, because the employees and the company are just lazy sacks of excrement. Terrible company, terrible business model, terrible service. Not only this, but looking at tracking times is even worse. Seeing that it takes 4 hours to drive a time that normally takes 10 minutes is not only disheartening, it's downright abysmal.

I got home to find on my front porch a water-soaked package containing a book. It was ruined. It had been raining for 24 hours and the reason the package was left near the elements is beyond me. So I told the clerk at the post office of my experience. I received NO apology, NO sympathy for my situation. "I guess they thought it would be okay where they left it," was all she said. So I put a large blue plastic tote on my porch with the instructions on top of it in white vinyl letters, "PLEASE PLACE PACKAGES INSIDE," because I am expected four more books.
The next day I received two books, BOTH LAID BESIDE THE TOTE IN THE RAIN ON A RAIN-SOAKED MAT! I WAS HOME at the time of the delivery and a simple knock on the door would have prevented the problem this time. I was sitting 6 feet from the door so I KNOW there was no knock. You will have to determine if the postal deliverers are stupid, too incompetent to do their job or they JUST DON'T CARE!

I received a receipt for priority mail with a delivery date, Then I received an update saying it was in transit to my post office on the 21st. Of course the 22nd came and went so I called my post office and the worker had the nerve to say, "Well I see you have made several inquiries," (which that had nothing to do with the conversation. I was asking where my package was) needless to say they then told me that priority does not mean that you will get it on that day.
It just seems to me as that they are practicing unfair practices by giving out a date then changing the date at their will. Then the worker went on to say that it still may not be here until Monday, I asked her if I can find out where my package was so I can ask UPS to pick it up and ship it to me and then she told me no one can tell me that, she also told me my package was still in Michigan. When I called the post office in Michigan they told me, "No your package is not here anymore." So now it seems as if I am just getting the runaround. I will never get anything shipped using the post office.

USPs Monopoly - Of course the USPS being a government conducted business, one of the only legal monopolies on Earth, it is without a doubt impossible to hold anyone's feet to the fire there. There's no recourse and no matter what, they can't go out of business as they are the ONLY company that delivers mail. I have had nothing but issues with the Manchester NH post office, or I believe in this case the Goffstown location...
In December I ordered a package and the day it was to be delivered I receive a notice stating I'm not home. (I was.) In January I had several heavy packages that the nice postman actually walked around and up my back stairs to leave... and then other days I get another message stating that they attempted delivery and I wasn't home... which is brilliant because I was. I don't have a doorbell and apparently that's the reason I can't get mail... so my options are to either wait outside all day hoping my package shows, or I can drive down and wait and hope my package wasn't on the truck to only be brought back because I don't have a doorbell at my apartment. The best part is, I have no option... if I order from FedEx, they drop it off at USPS to complete... which based on their bipolar mood is wonderful. I'll be reaching out to my local congress and senate to see about putting together a bill to privatize the post office further as this is ridiculous.

1.Sent a Christmas gift certificate to a friend who immediately went on vacations and returned to find no evidence of it. I was able to resolve the problem by getting the company to issue an online link with the same evaluation. USPS either tossed the card or gave it to somebody else. 2.Ordered a replacement part through Amazon.com. The item entered the postal system per tracking and abruptly disappeared. I suspect that the only fault attaching to the businesses involved is that they are still entrusting consumer purchases to the Postal Service and the Postal Service is Without Honor.
Updated on 03/06/2018: I re-ordered the item from another source and received it in due course. It arrived today, one month and 4 days after I placed the order via First Class Mail. The package left Roanoke VA on February and traveled to Marion VA the same day. It showed "in transit to Waco" until it arrived in Houston Texas 17 days later. It then went to West Palm Beach Florida on or about March 1, and was delivered March 5, 2018. This sort of lackadaisical behavior illustrates the utter foolishness of trusting the United States Postal Service with... ANYTHING.

Post office 40291 - The postmaster needs to do a complete review of the processes and management of the sorting annex associated with this facility. I’m just one person and frequently I find my packages arrive at this facility only to be, as I believe, shuffled around for a day or two while someone pretends to be busy. So those 2-day deliveries that go in or out of this zip code frequently fail and I and others are not getting what they are paying for. I do also wonder if much of the 2-day the USPS collects extra funds for, isn’t just dumped in with the regular mail? Would be nice if FedEx stopped using this facility as a partner and simply delivered in this zip code instead- as my Amazon 2 day guaranteed are not getting delivered in 2 days because of this post office.

I filed a claim after 15 days of shipping date as required and just got a letter denying my claim due to it being delivered. If a person spends over $7000 in 5 weeks... Why would I scam/fraud the USPS for $50 when I just lost $100 of goods? I received over hundreds of packages in 5 weeks. I gave the mailman a job, they can't even help me out with insurance. If the USPS keep this up they will be obsolete soon. Their employees are impressive either. Most of them just want to claim the 50% retirement package after 20+ years of government work anyways. I was a Marine, I know how it goes. The good ones leave, the bad ones stay in.

At one facility it was scanned 3 days in a row for headed to destination 3 days just to leave 1 distribution center. That’s totally piss poor business. I ordered more packages this year for Christmas than I ever did and I had a package come from California in 7 days. Not business days. 7 days total. It’s going on 7 business days and my package is still (I’m guessing) 3 days from being delivered to address I’m having it sent to. That is piss poor service. And USPS wonders why they are losing money. Well for one when a package has to go through 2 distribution centers within 100 miles of each other that’s too many hands touching a package.
Now it’s in Michigan. It went to Pontiac Mi distribution center to be sent to Detroit for another distribution center then it will go to I’m guessing Grand Rapids distribution center until it finally reach Lansing Michigan distribution center to be sent to my towns post office to be delivered. It travels away from me from Pontiac to Detroit, to then travel past the Lansing distribution center. Let me state the Lansing distribution center is right off the highway my package was traveling on to go to Grand Rapids distribution center to finally travel back to Lansing. All those are roughly 150 - 175 miles from each other 4 distribution centers just in Michigan. Why too many hands. Might want to look at how FedEx, UPS and DHL do there job.
No wonder USPS is lowest rated and pretty much highest price for service given. My opinion they owe the company that shipped my packed than them pay USPS. I did not purchase insurance for the package, however the contents were priceless because they contained over 25 souvenir items that I had purchased in Thailand for family members. The tracking status shows that the package is delayed in transit to Sikeston, MO but my family called today to inform me that the package was delivered with bed sheets inside. The packing is the same that I gave the post office, it has a label that says that my package was damaged in shipping. All items that I placed in the package are missing and I have no idea how bed sheets got in the package.

The package went back and forth from Madison WI and Janesville four times and ended up in the dead letter file. I picked up the package there and drove to deliver to my daughter in person. They did refund my postage, nice of them. Another time I mailed something to my daughter in DC. Tracking said it was out for delivery and then it ended up somewhere in Maryland where it sat for 5 days. It was finally delivered to the correct address.

8 oz package mailed to China Dec 30 2017, left US on Jan 3, 2018, still in transit as of Feb 10, 2018. Was returning $500 of defective CPUs from FL to Chinese seller, clerk said customs is tracked, and insisted I did not need to use registered mail. I was going to send it registered but finally went along with his insistence that I did not need registered. Later after a lot of research I discovered the clerk was wrong, USPS does not track after it leaves US customs except for registered or express, and for China, there is no agreement for their mail system to complete the delivery correctly. (I found that on an obscure list on the USPS website). USPS turns it over to shipper, who turns it over to foreign postal service and so risk of theft/loss is multiplied. I went back to the local PO and asked the postmaster if he could help, he gave me a phone # that says nothing different than the online tracking.
I insured the package for $25 per instruction of the seller - they said Chinese customs would hold it up and charge extra otherwise. Therefore, I am out $570 and disgusted at both my own decision and USPS. Postal Clerks need to be careful and start learning about the delivery process for foreign countries so they don't cause loss to customers. I will never again use USPS for international mail even though their website claims a loss rate of less than 1%. For anyone needing to send international, use FedEx or another company that handles it all the way to delivery. For those who still want to use USPS, don't trust advice of clerks. Always use express or registered mail, expense will be worth it. For $22 more, I would probably have had successful delivery in 2 weeks.

Before anyone chimes in let me explain that I live in a 1 mile radius city. I have made numerous complaints without any answers and calling is a joke. 1 hr and 30 minute wait time. Now I ordered an item and it showing from tracking number leaving Chicago 5 days ago. I am in Michigan and it's a 5 hour drive with traffic. 5 days and still no package??? Did the driver stop at a resort for a weekend??? On top of that I send monthly payments to Tennessee which is a 9 hour drive and it's lucky to make it in 7 to 10 days. I shipped an item as a return, purchased insurance, item went out for delivery but never scanned as delivered. I had to place a claim online, was denied, had to contact the USPS (which is actually very, very difficult) to get them to check it out, they contacted the ending source post office which called me and promised to force close it as delivered because it was going to a "third party warehouse" so it would be a bulk delivery but the end customer/recipient still claims as not ever receiving it and will not refund my item.
I have proven how much I paid, proven that the recipient claims he has not received it at the address he gave me to send it to, proven that I paid what I am claiming it for and was denied even through an appeal process. I have no way to contact the actual department that judges these claims, no phone number, I have contacted numerous post offices for advice and they ultimately said they don't understand why I am being denied when this is clearly wrong so they (the USPS) told me to file a complaint through the Consumer Affairs, so I am.

The local post office doesn't pick up the phone and if they do, you get put on hold forever. I think they want you to get tired and hang up. Then the main customer service line puts you on hold for hours on end. I fell asleep twice on hold and I never spoke to a live person. Then I decided to send an email thinking it would go to the main postal service. It instead went to my local post office manager which in turn sent some automated reply and then closed the case without any further information, options on finding my package, nothing. I lost money on that.
So now I have another package which was supposed to be delivered today priority. Package was never delivered, an updated delivery time was not given. At this point I'm ready to just give up on using the USPS all together and use UPS or FedEx. They are not perfect but at least they keep their word. Dismantle the USPS and start over. At 0800 I went to get a money order at my local post office to pay for a course to further my career in the Emergency Services. I swiped my card and the machine timed out for a 726.26 transaction, no receipt printed, no check was issued. Following a pause this was done again this time around showing “insufficient funds.” Checking my online banking, the money was withdrawn. I worked with my bank and the postmaster to try and sort this problem, even calling USPS myself to their accounting division, still nothing. At 1600 hrs I’m still awaiting a call from the supervisor I was supposed to be transferred to (this went to voicemail). To say I’m unhappy is an understatement, moreover a charge on my card with no services rendered is fraud, the fact that I’ve had to devote my personal time on a day off is ridiculous and also stressful.
The last tangible answer that I’ve had for the refund is up to 10 days, it’s the 8th of Feb today, my course starts on the 18th. The lack of willingness to assist me is disreputable and downright disrespectful and further the USPS should be ashamed of their ability to streamline calls to a complaint line that would allow a consumer to directly voice a complaint in a timely manner. I was on the phone for 28minutes to be transferred to voicemail, useless. This money constitutes 2 weeks of work in a Fire Station for me, but is nothing to them it seems.

I had to contact USPS due to an undeliverable package. The name of my street had been spelled incorrectly and so I promptly called the technical support line and had what I thought was a very successful fix to a minor issue. The nice technician confirmed my name and my actual address and got it edited in the system and out for redelivery from my local post office. I received a confirmation e-mail and new tracking updates. I was first supposed to receive it on a Friday but then it changed to Monday (not a big deal, weekend delay). It turned out I was never going to receive my package and that the tracking updates didn't mean anything because the technician "didn't select the correct course of action".
Long story short, the local employee continuously spoke in circles and avoided telling me what I really needed to know. He claimed to say the package was being shipped back to the company but that still didn't explain why I was getting tracking updates with dates and times if I was never going to receive it. I feel lied to, not by the technician because she actually made a difference with my issue, but with the local employees who had no legitimate explanation other than throwing the technician under the bus.

I politely attempted to ask him to unlock the key to the large parcel box so that I could retrieve an order that arrived days prior. Before I could complete the question, he interrupted me with the insult "I can't give you a key, you need to contact your landlord for the key, as you can see I work for the postal service."
The man’s employer, USPS, was obvious as he was in uniform and driving a marked USPS vehicle. This is how I know he insulted me with the remark "I work for the postal service." When a large parcel is delivered, it is USPS who enters and locks them into the box in question. They don't call apartment management down to enter them. This man could have simply asked me for ID to prove my ownership of the parcel I wanted and/or unlocked the key so that I could retrieve it. But I'm guessing customer service is an impossible act for these people when they refuse to listen and outright insult us - the CUSTOMER.
This is why I find myself selecting more expensive delivery services like United Parcel Service. I will gladly pay triple shipping and handling cost for UPS service. I would rather not pay the wages of people who disrespect customers face to face & mishandle our packages. These people even assault each other; where do you think the meme "going postal" comes from?

Sometimes the mail carrier properly delivers the package, but a dozen or so times a year it is returned to the sender saying this is a non-existent address.
Our home's address is well marked and UPS and FedEx NEVER EVER have a problem with package delivery. We have contacted the post office in writing both by mail and email but the ridiculous problem is never resolved nor have we ever received a response. We have also made requests on the phone and in person, but are ignored. We usually request packages be sent by UPS or FedEx or we actually have them delivered to a neighbor's home. The worst part, besides the unnecessary inconvenience and obvious stupidity, is the USPO is charging the sender to deliver a package to a well-marked home in a well-known old neighborhood then failing to do so. Further, they are creating confusion by stating to the sender that the address doesn't exist.

This is made of two stories. 1) The office worker refused to give me a receipt for the stamps I bought, saying "I don't like your attitude.", no other reasons. 2) The reason for the argument above, willingly delayed the selling of the stamps I sent the payment in the mail. The detail, 2) I sent my check for the 20 stamps for the price I found on the envelope I had in my desk drawer on 1-14 2018, not knowing the price would be going up in a week. On 1-23-2018, I received my check back from the USPS stating that the price went up on 1-21-2018, so unless the difference is made, the stamps won't be sent. They even waited a few days for the price to go up, while they could have sent the stamps right away with or without the new price and ask the difference afterward. This actually happened before and I sent the difference.
Meanwhile I had to hold all the payment being billed to me (It could have added late charge but I haven't heard of it yet.). I needed stamps right away, so I went to the local office in San Juan Capistrano immediately. (Something I'll be doing now on, no more stamps in the mail). 1) At the office (the check for the difference already being paid), I explained and told the worker how disgusting USPS could do this on purpose. The worker didn't like that and first she said she's not giving me stamps because she didn't like the complaint. After while of arguments she gave in and handed me stamps.
Then next she said she's not giving me the receipt because she didn't like my attitude. It was already printed and all she had to do was just handing it to me. I got what was her intention, so I said, "Fine" and left. Another way of saying this is that USPS worker have no obligation to give their products the customer already paid for or the receipt if she choose to. They don't have to give stamps (that is already being paid) or the receipt if she doesn't like the customer.

I am done with USPS shipping - if the site offers UPS, or FedEx - then I will pay the extra. They can't do any worse - at least I hope not.

I recently took a trip to Florida to see my daughter in Naples Fl, and I have never experience this problem in the past. I don't use airline luggage because of the cost and I always mail my clothing to where I am going, but I always take 3 change of clothes with me just in case it takes a day or two extra to get to me. I mailed it out Jan 9th and it was supposed to get there by the 12th, and I was flying in on the 11th. Well it was it wasn't there, and I was leaving her home to go to my son's home on the 13th and help him pack and move to Michigan. So on the 14th I got online to redirect my package to my son's house which cost me another $25 so now we are up to $58. I have a tracking number and have tracked it. It sit in Detroit Mi for 8 days and it says because of weather, but when I checked the weather from Jan 9th through the 12th from Detroit to Naples Fl there was no bad weather.
I feel the postal service is getting lazy at what they do. They tell on the receipt and circle it that it will be there on this day and it not and then they overcharge you for that amount than the regular amount. I have been calling and getting a busy signal at a lot of post office and yesterday I got through to one, this lady was rude and had no time for me from the time she picked up the phone. She told me that it could take up to 14 days, I said, "WHAT? I paid for Priority Mail." She said that 1 to 3 days is not guaranteed, I told, "Well I could of paid the cheaper one with 5-7 days.
So anyways here I am in St. Petersburg Fl on Jan 19th without my package still and I got online to check it. Today it finally made it to Naples Fl and going to redirect to here in my son's in St. Petersburg and no one is going to be here because we are moving them to Michigan. I am so mad right now at this all and at their website at how they got it setup to help you. They never get back to you. So I guess I'll just pay out more money to have it redirected back to Michigan.

I ordered a bunch of stuff off of Amazon because I got gift cards. My first package was stolen because it was left at my front door. The next day I didn't receive a large package I was expecting. I left my front door open so that I could watch from my glass door. I never left the living room all day and around 8 pm, I stood at my front door as I called Amazon to complain, which is documented! At 8:20, I open the door to let my husband in. At 9:00, I locked my door and went to bed. The next morning when I check my package status, it said delivery attempted at 8:19, which is a lie. I call Amazon to complain, they can't do anything because the post office is closed.
The next day I get notice that my package will be delivered on Jan 19th. My package was suppose to arrive on 1/14. What happened on 15 or 16th? If it was at the post office, why wasn't it delivered the next day available. I called Amazon and they can do nothing for me until the package is delivered. This is something that has really ticked me off. I pay my taxes which funds USPS and on top of that I pay for shipping and handling and this is unacceptable.

I asked if they tried to put the package in-between my 2 front doors. They explained it is against company policy in case the door does not shut all the way and the wind slams and breaks the door. I asked if I could file a claim against their business insurance. They said I can't or else everyone would claim they never received their item. Thought this is why companies have liability insurance?

Now the first time I had a problem with USPS would have been the early few weeks of December. I ordered a package with 2 day shipping but it did not arrive in 2 days. The thing is there was a blizzard so I understand how it may have taken more time to deliver but my problem with USPS is really their website. I got no updates on when it would be coming after it was late so it was really a surprise and if you have stuff to do or a life it just turns into a big waiting game which could inconvenience anybody.
Recently, I ordered a package, and let me tell you the shipping was very expensive just for standard shipping, when the place it's getting shipped from is an hour away. Right now, only God knows when I will receive my package because their dumb ass tracking website has not been updated in 3 days. Once again now I have to stay home and wait for my stuff so it doesn't get stolen which gets rid of any chance of me going out. I will include a picture of how their website does not update anything. Today is January 13, 2017 and it hasn't been updated since January 10th so I will show how in the blue the customer is left with their horrible tracking. One more thing I have to say is calling them is as helpful as their website which essentially is pointless.

If there was a way to give a zero or negative stars review, I would do it. USPS is the most terrible and unreliable delivery service it has ever been my misfortune to use. I cannot recall the last time I received a package on the scheduled delivery date they provide. Usually it is anywhere from one to five (yes FIVE) days later. And their tracking is a joke. It rarely updates and provides no actual information. If I ever have to option to use an alternative shipping method, even if it is more costly (ie: standard is offered through USPS, but expedited is offered through FedEx) I will always choose the alternative. I will gladly pay an extra $5 or $10 to know I will receive things on time, and will be able to utilize a reliable tracking system.

I called the USPS customer service and after more than 1 hour on hold was told to call back in two days. No explanation was offered for where the package has been for the past 6 days and no commitment as to when it will be delivered. The rep implied it was due to the weather. The Last update on USPS website was Jan 7, and it just says "in transit". This is package 1 of 6 that is currently "in transit" to Texas. Here's the kicker, all my packages going to other states have arrived just fine. Texas-bound packages? Not at all. WORST PART: I actually got a person on the phone with USPS, twice. Waited a full hour to talk to someone who just read back to me what was on the website. Seriously?
Then, person said they would open a case, ok cool. But he sent the cases to the destination postal offices instead of the Utah Distribution Center where all 6 of my packages have been for DAYS! And there's nothing I can do because the mailing company uses First Class mail, uninsured. I am... USPS Customer. Who committed the alleged misconduct/wrongdoing? Employees of USPS. What are the facts? What caused the problem? What are the results of the problem? Please be as specific as possible. Over 4 years West Palm Beach Distribution Center has stolen 3 packages! I caught one employee on camera scanning a package and failing to deliver it! 14 parcels vandalized! When did the misconduct/wrongdoing occur? Sat, 01/06/2018 Where did the misconduct/wrongdoing occur? West Palm Beach Distribution Center as Kain Mail center and the 33415 zip code. How was the misconduct/wrongdoing committed? Most recently I had a $2k check certified mailed to me on January 3rd and it was suppose to arrive January 5th, today is January 9th it can not be located. The tracking status is arrive at the West Palm Beach Distribution Center and is delayed for 4 days.
I went over there, which this place is a 5 minute walk from my house. Literally down my street! They said it can't be located??? This is the third stolen package! In December I received a card and a priority package vandalized by USPS at the West Palm Beach Distribution Center! In November again a package was deliberately tore open, trifled through and shoved back in the envelope. Two years ago I order my son a pair of $250 shoes for his party gift. The shoes were signature and certified mail. We never received the shoes after following the tracking. We saw it was marked as signed and delivered. We went over our cameras and saw the mail person scan a package and not deliver it the day in the truck rustled around and drove off. We contacted the police and USPS. They swore the investigated and I email the video. Nothing was done and they claim no fraud or theft was committed that the shoes just disappeared!
We had several more Packages deliberately open and vandalized. We complain to a very rude and foul mouth nasty manager who told us where to shove it. We call Customer service and they said they would investigate. Nothing! I mailed out my $1400 watch through USPS to be repaired in another country and it was repaired and mailed back through USPS priority mail. The watch made it all the way around the world and five domestic states and even to our front door according to tracking history. We were not home to sign for it. So a note was left at my door. That night I went to the post offices with the note they said that it had not been brought back to the distribution center. Come back tomorrow. This exact response happen three nights in a row. I call Customer service and they concluded yet again the watch simply disappeared!!! Enough is enough!!!
They are stealing my mail and invading my privacy and vandalizing my packages routinely!!! I complain and absolutely nothing is done. All the worker are rude, incompetent and unwilling to help. I watch one delivery woman delivering mail while in the phone driving down my residential street. She was so occupied on her phone she misdelivered a package to me and proceed to drive on and run into my neighbor's mailbox with her truck! I have also received at least five misdelivered packages over the last two years. We always have different mail carriers. I am sick and tired of this Bull crap! I would love to see USPS sued for failure to render services, grand theft, vandalism, fraud, invasion of privacy, incompetence and consumer abuse. They are hiding behind their government brand and covering scandals worse than the Catholic Pope!

When I emailed back asking for proof of delivery they replied that I had "waived signature" - that is NOT true. I requested signature because I have been dealing with USPS for years and I know that they quite often do not deliver mail at all. This review is for a terrible experience I've had with a particular package(s) this last month. It all started when I bought Christmas presents (prints) from an Etsy shop for $51.25. My package was said to arrive on December 14 and the tracking stated "delivered in/near mailbox" but it was in fact not. I contacted the seller and she advised that I wait a few days to see if it would show up. It never did and the seller offered to send me another set of prints at the discounted price of $16. I really wanted to give these prints as gift so I re-ordered but again when I got the "delivered" notification on December 29, I had nothing delivered.
I was actually at home when I got the 2nd notification of delivery and ran out to find the mailman parked at the end of my block. I asked him where this package was because it was most definitely not delivered but he could give me no answer. He flipped some boxes over "looking" for my package but I told him it would be an envelope. It looked like he just didn't care. He took the tracking number and said he would follow up after asking his supervisor. He never followed up with me. I called the USPS 1800 number and was on hold for an hour, and opened a case. They told me that by a week they would find my packages or be able to tell me where they are. 7 days pass and I get a call from USPS consumer affairs and they tell me "your order is marked as delivered"... I took all my energy and strength not to flip out on them, it's as if I waited a week for a "** you". Then the guy on the other line told me my post office would call me with a better answer.
When they finally called they had the balls to tell me it was delivered and even told me to check my mailbox. Like seriously? Do you actually think I would go through all this hassle WITHOUT checking my mailbox? The last thing he said was that I should file a claim. I told him I couldn't because it was not insured. He sounded so confused like he didn't know that uninsured mail can't have claims filed. I'm am very disappointed with the lack of care or accountability from the USPS. I feel like I threw away $67.25 which is not a lot compared to other complaints here but it's the lack of care that annoys me. How do you lose the same package twice and not care? No respect for the consumers.

I sell items online and sometimes arrange for a pickup at my home, mainly when I have one that is too big to fit into the after hours depository because I work M-F, 8-5 and can't get to the post office during the hours they are open. On more than one occasion my package hasn't been picked up. The straw that broke the camel's back is when the USPS delivered two packages to me and sat them DIRECTLY on top of my outgoing packages. To be clear, I always leave a note taped directly above the packages stating they are to be picked up, so there isn't room for a misunderstanding. Later that night, I received an email notice stating the pick up had been made and that INFURIATED ME because someone at the post office had to have put that blatantly false information into their system. That was enough to prompt me to file a complaint. After the complaint was filed, I was "blacklisted."
I had, all of a sudden, an inordinate amount of packages that were misdelivered, arrived in my town only to be sent back out causing long delays, or that arrived late for no reason. What's worse, when I moved I had a few packages that were in transit. I called the post office and spoke directly to my mail carrier and was told that he had personally intercepted each of the 4 parcels and forwarded them to my new address a few miles away. HA! He used this opportunity to "stick it to me." None of the packages were forwarded. Each ended up being returned to the sender, despite the fact I had a forwarding order in place the mail carrier assured me they would be sent to my new home. Additionally, none of the packages was simply returned to sender. They each took WELL over a month to be returned.
One of the sellers sent out my package again and it was delivered to a house one street over (yes, the address on the package was correct) FOUR TIMES. The 4th time, the homeowner was nice enough to drive to my house and knock on my door to give me the package. Packages continue to be late. A perfect example: I had a jacket that should have been delivered Friday. Tracking indicated it arrived in my town Thursday evening only to be sent one state over the same night. It arrived back in my town at 5am Saturday so it should have been delivered Saturday. Guess what? NO JACKET. I have spent hours and hours on the phone with postal employees who were inept, rude, apathetic, or all of the above. They simply don't care, and when you have finally had enough and are pushed far enough where you register a complaint you are singled out by these same inept, vindictive employees.
If anyone in upper management wonders why the USPS is losing money hand over fist, give me a call. My problems are a PERFECT example of how poorly this agency is run and operated. It is a big free for all. I never, never, NEVER have an issue with UPS or FedEx. In 10 years, I've had a combined total of 4 packages arrive late from UPS/FedEx and they were only a day late.
Now, let's talk about damage. A conservative estimate of breakage/damage on packages received by USPS is 70% on breakable items. It's a fraction of that with the other carriers. I hope UPS, FedEx, Amazon, WalMart, or someone else starts their own service for letters and small parcels to fill the huge, ugly, incompetent void left by the USPS. I hope the USPS organization dies an ugly death. This kind of incompetence and disregard can't go on forever, so it's just a matter of time and I will hoot, holler, and applaud when their festering, rotting, rat infested ship goes down.

When I retrieved the package I saw a large tear In the side and the contents were empty. Worst service, worst PO and now the worst Christmas shipping year for USPS. As a military family we've used USPS for years-sometimes for cost or obligation depending on where we lived. I no longer trust or respect the USPS. When I left Hawaii I knew I had to use priority mail. I shipped 11 boxes to myself at my new home in FL. I had the tracking but we had 1 box missing for over a week, with no updates in the USPS service computer -- so lost is just lost when the PO do not scan the boxes as required. Until we met the required tracking investigation with the manager. Hours later without a phone call (we had to leave with mgr) our postal delivery person dropped this "missing box" off without notification. Hmmm was it lost right there in my local po? I think so. Because it's happened many times since then. It was then I learned they don't all have them-so that TRACKING number on your receipt may never even be used.
Remember to get that "free" tracking the USPS increased their prices. I know this because while living in Hawaii for 2 years no doubt in my mind I shipped at least 80 boxes. While living in Pensacola Florida I have experienced the worst PO of my life. Frequently lose boxes of mine or can't track or answer without a care or concern. So my husband and I both a PO boxes at this same local office for business reasons and personal too. So yes, I've paid to be a customer for shipping but also a recipient. The new and recent tactic is being used now at the NOBLES Station, Pensacola FL post office. I track my boxes online and most often do not get a notification in my box on the same day. I was made aware that it is scanned in but on a pallet. It takes them another day to check in all boxes. Ok, I don't work there so maybe that is true. We don't have a posting of when to expect our mail at our location-not even a possible by time of the day.
So I wait now for the 2nd day. Recently no notification but I've tracked and given a day. I now stand in line while they go search for a box. 90% of the time I did indeed have a box but no card or key in my PO as the normal procedure. I tell the clerk at the desk this now has happened 4 times and she shakes her head and gives no reasoning. Go back to the website and it now says--your box has been delivered. Sure it has with me driving to, standing in line and waiting while they go through what must be a broken system, disorganized and not ethical way of doing business. I've also been there on Sat when the cards are only placed 20 min until closing so you can't pick up your box/parcel. Are we thinking something’s up or shady? I am. I don't trust my PO and only ship priority.
Recently I join the many out there that sent priority and 1st class mail only to have things arrived either on time or nearly 2 wks later. I am fully aware it's a busy time of year and plan accordingly. My tracking this year just baffled me when it basically said, "in limbo" with a delayed status and NO delivery update. Just on the way. So I think this is the quality service I paid for? Shipping with USPS is outrageous cost so I expect more. Yes, I am looking for a new location to receive mail. Yes, I am also writing the POST master general. I say to our President Trump. I believe that due to the untrustworthy, unprofessional and poor service of the USPS, if it were not for Amazon I do not believe the USPS would continue to exist. They surely have disappointed this year and failed, miserably.

I called and the automative service couldn't understand the tracking numbers, finally got through to somebody who didn't help much. Only saying it just got checked on the 25th. Packages have moved to two locations with notice it will not make it by expected date as of Dec 24, 2017. By Dec 26, 2017 in transit again to his city but no expected date and same info each date since. It is frustrating that USPS is offering a service they get away with consisting failing to meet. I believe this bordering on fraudulent behavior by a government entity even though they offer a service 2-3 day at higher rate with disclosure no guarantee. If I had known they weren't even going to get close to that, as is the case apparently with so many, I would have made alternate arrangement. I will file a claim for insurance if package still has not arrived by date allowed and will never rely on them again.

USPS Holladay Park Post Office. December 4, 2017: I have sent registered envelope that contains valuable documentations and must arrived in the Philippines no later than end of December. Because of the urgency and tight deadline for these documentations to arrive in the Philippines I had selected registered mail. Staff in USPS made me aware registered mail takes 20 to 22 days due to staff who handles my registered envelope will need to be documented and signed which I am pleased with the process. So staff billed me $16.10 for a small white envelope.
December 26, 2017 I called my sister in the Philippines and instructed her to check the Philippines Post Office to make sure the registered mail I sent tracking #** has arrived. Philippines Post Office staff notified my sister that the registered mail I sent has not left the USA. My registered mail had been delivered to Wisconsin on December 7, 2017 and received and signed by the last name **. The recipient for the registered mail I sent is Maria ** not **. So much for registered mail and the tracking gone bad and messed up system! I will give you one star because I forced to give you one star... But technically staff in Holladay Park Post Office is zero star! Disappointed customer.
I am disappointed with Holladay Park Post Office, Oregon staff/supervisor/manager because they failed to own their mistakes, lack of customer service, unprofessional, not willing to assists in resolving important issues. Instead I had been blamed for putting the incorrect address and it was the reason it went to Wisconsin. I mailed a small padded manila envelope to my son with veterinary chewable flea meds for his dog on 12/7/17 via Priority mail with a two day delivery. Package showed that it was delivered on 12/9/17 but my son never received it... obviously delivered to the wrong mailbox. On 12/16/17 I filed a claim online, that is another experience if it actually goes through without an error, try again message, and waited. On 12/25/17 I received an email from USPS asking me to complete a survey on how satisfied I was with their service on this claim. I had not received any correspondence from USPS at all on this claim so you can imagine my reply... there has been no service. I have tried calling to speak with a human... forget that. I have tried calling my local post office for assistance and they tell me it isn't their problem and they cannot help in any way.
I have tried calling the post office that would have delivered the mail and their phone is busy no matter what day or time of day you call and obviously, it is in another town across the state from me so I cannot drive down and stand in line to speak with someone in person. So, I called the automated line today 12/28, to check again on the claim and spoke with a robot who states simply... that my claim has been resolved... no other info on what that means... and good bye. So it looks like I am out $50 approx for the meds that are in limbo or someone else is using them or has passed them on to another, but the intended addressee never received, and USPS does not care one bit about this package or providing an answer to the problem.
USPS is filled with a lot of people who like collecting their paycheck but don't want to provide a decent service and they are set up to keep you from contacting a human at all, unless you have the ability to stand in line at a local office and take the chance of wasting your time on that when they tell you it is someone else's problem and they cannot help you. NEVER USING THE USPS FOR MAILING ANY PACKAGE AGAIN.

I buy almost everything online during the holidays... Expecting my items to be delivered as gifts is extremely important... I have had NO ISSUES with any other delivery companies, but you better bet your bottom dollar that if the delivery is being made by USPS there will be a issue. So far in just the past few weeks, I have had a TEMP MAIL CARRIER deliver several of my packages to the WRONG ADDRESS, and had to track them down thru my local Postal Branch to get them delivered properly, I have shipped gifts to my family in California, which they get to the branch in California, then disappear which I again had to call the USPS postal inspector to find out what happened to my packages and have had several items that are "showing" to be shipped by the company I order the product from, but as far as USPS site, show in PRE-SHIPMENT for days and days...
USPS is the most unorganized and ineffectively run company I have ever seen. They hire TEMPS that take the packages or steal them (not sure which) and USPS does nothing about it until you call and are forced to basically track down your own package. Very Disappointing, and I will be sending things only FedEx or UPS from now on, If I have a choice in the matter!!!

As of today the Supervisor Kevin at the Garden City location is saying the package was scanned and put on the truck, but the truck was not scanned. I asked if that meant the whole truck was missing and he said "yes". He stated he would reach out to the Allen Park location and call me back with an update.
I called him back 3 hours later and at that time he told me it could take up to 24 hours for a response, even though Vanessa from the 1-800# told me she put in a claim with a message for the distribution center to call me ASAP to see if they were going to same day ship it, since they dropped the ball on shipping as paid for! I have yet to hear from them. The impression giving is that they could care less and have no intention on doing what should be done to take care of the problem. As I told Kevin, I could drive the package to Virginia in less than 24 hours! There is no accountability for the postal staff not doing their job! I dropped off a box at the local Post Office on the 19th of December. It never showed as scanned into the system until the next day, the 20th. I was OK with that since the Postal Service stated on their website that the 20th was the cutoff for Priority Mail packages to be delivered before Christmas. On the 21st, I noticed that the package, which was going from Utah to Wisconsin, was now scheduled to be delivered a day AFTER Christmas on the 26th.
Well, today is the 26th and still no delivery of the box and it is still showing as being "in transit". I also watched a Salt Lake City television station's story, last week, about how the Postal Service is showing Amazon preferential treatment of their boxes... due to the contract that USPS has with Amazon. However, the Postal Service was reporting to Amazon that boxes were delivered on time but, in actuality, were not being delivered but the carriers were being told to report them as delivered. The USPS needs some serious overhauling... There is no accountability, tracking it almost non-existent, and there is poor morale. Either FIX it or do away with it.
Updated on 12/30/2017: The good news is that my box finally showed-up in Oshkosh, WI this evening... several days late but at least not stolen or lost. It has not been delivered yet but I am hopeful that it will be delivered within a day or two and be in good condition. The good news also is that the local Post Master in Provo, Utah (Rick **) was a shining light in all of this. I contacted Rick about this missing package and he went the extra mile to try to find out where this box was, even calling the Post Master in Mosinee, WI to see if he knew anything about the box.
Rick emailed me, at least twice a day, to let me know that he was still actively working the missing package case and would give me updates on what he was finding out. I realize that The United States Postal Service has some VERY serious problems but they do have good people working for them like Rick **. I applaud them for that and sincerely thank Rick for all of his thankless work that he does in running the Provo, Utah center and for his outstanding customer-service.

The last package bounced back and forth between Denver and Arizona for 5 days before it finally was delivered. I am absolutely disgraced with this company on many levels. To begin a bit of background, I am a go citizen and I have sent parcels to my girlfriend in the USA through Royal Mail and USPS. I sent a package through Royal Mail and the package got to America in two days!! (Wow) So I was like great. Until it got into the hands of USPS who took over a week for it to get to its destination. Another situation is this Christmas my girlfriend sent me a package via USPS paying extortionate rates to have it sent. With what she paid she got tracking and "priority" so it took 2 days to get from her to Memphis where it then got lost for about 3 days, it started moving again and got to Miami where it stayed for over a week!! Then as far as me and my girlfriend were notified the package had mystically appeared in London Heathrow airport and it was on its way to me, So I thought, So about 10 days go by, STILL NO PACKAGE!!!.
In this time I sent another one to my girlfriend with plenty of time so I thought to spare. At this point I was sick of relying on the tracking information and called the company that the package was supposed to be handed to in the UK. They told me exactly where the package was... IT WAS STILL IN AMERICA BECAUSE USPS IS ALSO KNOWN AS ULTRA ** POSTAL SERVICE!!!! Then me and my girlfriend confronted usps who were just as clueless as I was before calling parcel force. And their response was: "It is not lost, we just don't know where it is". An oxymoron if I have ever heard one. In conclusion this company should be embargoed and no one should ever use this service. I have never had an issue with mail delivery until I moved to Boyds, MD two years ago. First, my daughter paid for overnight delivery to get her ID from the MVA because it was needed for domestic travel. I stayed home to wait for the package while my daughter was in class. The package never came, yet the tracking information said that delivery was attempted. I drove to the post office up the street from my house and was told that I needed to go to my "home office" which was in Germantown. I then went there, which was further away, and retrieved the package. I was annoyed because I had to spend my time and gas to do someone else's job.
Second, I found a delivery attempted slip in my mailbox with only a tracking number. No other information; not where to go to pick up the package, not even the name of the intended recipient. I drove to my "home office" in Germantown and was told that the package was not there. It is being held at my "home office". Ok, I thought THIS was my home office. They sent me to the Clarksburg office. Well, Clarksburg is not my home office so they sent me to a third post office which is in Boyds. So, I live 1 mile from the Clarksburg office, my mail is delivered by the Germantown office which is 3 miles away, but my home office where my mail is held (after only 1 delivery attempt) is 4 miles away. OMG! I'm now super annoyed!
Now, let's talk about today. It's Saturday, December 23rd and I'm waiting for an item that I ordered for Christmas. It's 11:35pm. The tracking information states that it will be delivered today by 8:00pm. I've been checking the front porch since I got the update at 7:38pm, I've been checking the mailbox, and still nothing! They put up a sign outside the PO boxes telling people to take mail inside. Can they not have a camera up to discourage theft? We don't know where the mail was lost at. But it has caused MAJOR headaches. We thought the bills had gotten to them on time, so we ended up with fees, penalties and interest increased for the credit card bill. They didn't believe that we had sent it in time and we did. Now we have to sort this all out and the companies could not care less - if it was lost then it's YOUR problem. This is not acceptable.

However, when I tried to enter a claim for the broken paper towel holder, I could not drag the file showing the value of the item or the picture of the damage. The smallest picture my computer would send was 2.4 mb. The p.o. only accepts 2mb, nothing larger. I tried and tried to drag the page showing the worth, but was unable to do that. The clerk at my local p.o. said that I could call the postal number and they would help me.
I called the number they listed on the website and what sounded like a recording shouted a long string of numbers and then disconnected! So I tried e-mailing them to ask for a phone call. The website said they would respond within a day. Instead I got an e-mail telling me that the 2 items I could not include in my claim have to be included. I have tried and tried and cannot accomplish this. So the insurance was worthless. What are people who have no access to a computer or cannot load the required pages supposed to do? I usually dislike private contractors for government functions, but in this case I believe we should try a corporation that understands customer service and will actually back up their insurance policies.

After reading many of the previous reviews I guess it's good to know that I'm not the only one that knows that the USPS fails on most everything. I cringe every time I order something online and discover that the USPS was chosen as the carrier. In the seven years I've lived my current address (in Chicago) the USPS has - delivered my mail elsewhere (or not at all), delivered email for other addresses, quite often the mail arrives after 8pm. And there are weekdays when a carrier never arrives to deliver the mail!
And that's just regular mail! In regards to packages it's even worse - a "delivered" notification arrives and the package has not been actually delivered, or delivered next door, or is still in the possession of the carrier (well after they've passed my door). And then there is the total lack of customer service. If you can actually find someone to talk with they make empty promises to have a local postal manager call you back. On more than one occasion the USPS claimed that the address on the package was unreadable. Really? Think "barcode"... idiots. When in fact the last digit of my address was conveniently scratched off. And I've even had multiple situations where they claimed no one was around to accept the package, liars... I was at home with my front door open!
And have you noticed that the postal vehicles no longer have state (at least in Illinois) license plates anymore? It's clear that the capabilities of the USPS had really declined over the years. They're struggling and the only thing that keeps them somewhat afloat is junk mail. And then there has been the systematic removal of neighborhood mailboxes, at least near me and the surrounding zip codes. So that's my review of the USPS. Unfortunately it will only be read by others who have had poor experiences with the USPS. The USPS will never read these reviews or even make the smallest attempt at correcting the issues. Maybe it's finally time for our postal services to be privatized and time for the USPS to close its doors.

I don't know when or why crap there has gone sideways. But it has... I'm on the planning phase of a nonprofit. We just started and are building the website. Since we hit a decent milestone of it. We thought having fun simple thing to get into the holiday spirit would be awesome. From October to now we get everyone else's mail. Some to places that literally don't exist. Everything from bills, snow boots, and once someone's 'Women's Modeling Magazine', and last week someone's kids toys. None of them my name, street, or even the numbers of my address. Some simple Matcha (Japanese green tea) Frankincense and Myrrh sticks forgot returned because 'package contained a undeliverable address'... when I checked the address I used from Amazon hadn't changed, the street number, and name were right. The street name was missing the first letter though.
A 45 foghornin' minute karablastin' wait just for some government dipstick to tell me all about how it was clearly my fault. (Please hork up the label) [This label will be a horked hup] (now don't bother double checking a street address) (we'll go to the cantina and have a drink or two or three or 4). They're all too happy to literally fill my mailbox with spam and Tom, Dick, Harry, Luke Skywalker's, Yoda's, Han Solo's and from the looks of things Chewie's mail. But finding my box? Yeah, let's make the jump to hyperspace and get outta town! The jerk on the phone was a jerk on the phone. Then tried to flame me after a 45 minute wait, the box was still at the sorting house according to their tracker.
Last summer they lost some gifts from and for the SO (put it on the wrong truck and didn't check for 6 blanking days!) "What's in the package" (it's a gift from her so I haven't a clue) then trying to gaslight and ghetto talk and otherwise try to get me to think it was my frak up. The whole system is a cluster. And force be with people that order gifts from stores that can't be bothered to use Amazon and a FedEx option. I simply don't buy from places that don't.

Looking at all everyone review I read, I’m not the only one I have issues with USPS. And not the first time they lost my packages. Here is my worst experience with the USPS. I have purchased with Etsy in November 10th. While I ordered, it's from another country, so my package will be arriving in 3 weeks. After Thanksgiving, it's arrived in New York, according the tracking in Etsy. However, my delivery time doesn’t move in inches. It’s been two months and still not arriving either. I believe it's stuck or they lost it.
So, I contacted with USPS International Center Services in New York. It’s unfortunate that I called the service that they are pretty rude and they cannot do anything by it and just hand up the phone. Lucky, I contact with my buyer to refund me because the issue with the postal services. It’s so ** ridiculous! The USPS is the WORST service for delivery! Preface: I don't use a cell phone, don't have one. I couldn't use modern methods for this (recording, 911, etc). We get our mail here. We've been patrons for nearly 20 years. I attempted to purchase 2 money orders. The USPS computer system crashed after I entered my pin. The clerk pushed all the buttons, no go. We moved to the next counter/register to begin again. She assured me the first charge didn't go through. It did indeed. Twice. Plus the one I actually purchased. This drained the account. I called immediately after discovering the emptying of our account. The postmaster said she'd get right on it, it had not happened before, she would call me when it was taken care of. Don and I met at the PO at 4:30 on Fri, several hours later, and she had done absolutely NOTHING! Don showed her proof on his phone. She looked him in the eye and said, "I don't believe you." Yep.
THEN she finally makes a call to no avail, bc everyone has gone home for the weekend. She even asked the person on the other end if there was "anyone there who knew more, like the cleaning crew". So very rude. She said to come back with proof. I did on Monday am after getting a printout from the bank, with their letterhead. She refused to LOOK at it and said, "I don't need to see it. I'm not going to do it. I'm not helping you." Yep, she said it. The bank gave me specific instructions to give to her. If she would do it, I could get my money back in 3-4 days. If she didn't, my bank would take over, but my money won't be back until December 27, after Christmas. I told her the instructions. It required 1 toll-free phone call and punching in 3 numbers. She wasn't listening. She was flailing her arms about to shoo me away. I said I'd wait.
There was a line of customers. She said I wasn't being fair to the people in line. That I was disrupting their day. I turned to tell the whole line my dilemma. The line suggested I get the police. I went to the station but they were closed for lunch (small town). I went back to the bank. They filed a dispute for me. Then the branch manager went above and beyond and called the rude woman's superior. The supervisor validated that this was not USPS standard of practices. According to her boss, SHE SHOULD'VE AND COULD'VE MADE THE CALL. Immediately, on Friday morning. He filed a complaint and sent her an email. I'm to call him in 48 hours if the money isn't returned. It baffles me how quickly the $ is removed, but takes so long to return.

My most recent issue is that they didn't even try to deliver a package to me. They just stuck a "We tried to reach you" note in my mail box... right next to the parcel lock boxes we have! I had to wait on hold for 50 minutes to reschedule because their website wouldn't let me do it that way. I tried to complain but was ignored. They rescheduled the delivery for Wednesday... It is now Thursday after mail delivery and still no package. The status also hasn't been updated... What are they going to do about it? Nothing... but it's obviously my fault. I recently ordered guitar strings. They never arrived. The business that I ordered from was nice enough to send another set of guitar strings. I am beginning to suspect they will not arrive either as it has been 4 business days. Worst of all, I will have no choice but to leave this business a somewhat negative review to warn other people against having to deal with USPS, because if they do that will reflect badly on the business itself! A year ago, I ordered an audio interface. After tracking it and realizing that my package was not moving at all, I had to correspond with USPS and put the fire under their ** big-time just to get my package delivered late.
Abhorrent business practices and customer service. I will be telling businesses that I won't buy their products if they intend to ship through USPS. That's right, it's a full boycott for me. This isn't the first time that I have had problems with USPS. My friends also report issues, and the company's aggregate score here on ConsumerAffairs.com is 1 star. Heed my words; if you ever have anything shipped through USPS, you are asking, no, BEGGING for trouble and assorted varieties of misery that should not be an issue when you're just trying to receive (or ship) a ** parcel.

My sister sent a Priority Mail International parcel to me and she heard that it will take 7-10 business days. But HELLO? My parcel does not move for more than a week! I cannot believe this speed of shipping process. It only travels around the same city throughout the week. Seriously... This is a nightmare.

The post office has sent mail back. Might I say VERY important mail from Nursing results to Driver licenses among other important papers simply because they didn't have a box number. It wouldn't be so bad if they didn't know that I have a mailbox there and also why can't they just look in the system to see if there's a box, with that name on it.

I wish this was the first time. But it's not. I ordered an item from eBay. They allowed 4 weeks for delivery to Canada from the USA. After 4 weeks I received a refund from eBay. I reordered same item from a different store. 4 weeks later, I received BOTH packages within 2 days of each other. Here I am again. I ordered an item on Oct 16, 2017. It's now Nov 21 (past the 4 weeks). No tracking number. Nothing. Sadly. The item was made in Canada and being shipped from the USA into Canada. Is there a problem shipping into Canada? THIS IS CRAZY!!

This is literally one of the hardest places to actually contact them because they require so much information and then they tell you pure BS. They said the address was incorrect, not legible or incomplete when it was as clear as water and they could care less. The worst delivery service I have ever received. I’ve ordered from other countries and the service was better and faster.

USPS Priority 2 day mail. Good riddance. I will never again use a company who doesn't offer FedEx or UPS. Bear in mind it is still in transit. Bear in mind that a simple Google search of 'site:tools.usps.com/go/TrackConfirmAction? in transit will yield many many hundreds of thousands of these. All stuck. No delivery. Just POOF... STOLEN.

There is a note on my door stating that all packages should be delivered next door but my package was left outside of my door. My package happened to be delivered with everything inside stolen! Very UPSET WITH USPS. WORST COMPANY EVER!!!

Can't do change of address online for a P.O. box because I have to verify with a credit card using my billing address, which is different. System won't accept it. Tried to call USPS to get help. Automated system advises I must use online site to change and gives no opportunity to speak to a rep, then disconnects. I will use UPS or FEDEX from now on... It’s time to dismantle the USPS. It’s an antiquated dinosaur.

I had a friend ship a package from Germany to me in Cambridge, MA on Oct 23, 2017. The item was shipped via DHL in Germany and then via USPS once it arrived in the USA. It arrived in New York Oct 28th. Then to my local post office in Cambridge, MA Nov. 7th. For some unknown reason the package was sent back to USPS network distribution center in New Jersey on Nov. 11th. No attempt was made to deliver the package to me when it was in Cambridge, MA. This foolishness continued until today Nov. 16 when I drove 30 miles to pick up the package at the post office in a Roslindale, MA. I have never seen such incompetence and extremely poor customer service. NEVER AGAIN with I use USPS.

Seriously had a package that was mailed out on Monday, the shipment started in a city 4 hours away from me. Yet it has gone from Newport News, VS to Raleigh, NC to Fayetteville, NC to Greensboro, NC in which it gets further and further from me in Camp Lejeune, NC. When I call USPS customer service they tell me priority mail that's supposed to be delivered in 1 to 3 days isn't guaranteed and isn't considered lost until 5 days after it's mailed out... and the slackjaw on phone goes "well hopefully I helped you out today", really? You didn't help me in any way other than showing our tax dollars are funding an organization that couldn't find a piece of crap even if it was smeared across their face.

I ordered 5 rolls of stamps online for total of $246.75. After not receiving them, local postmaster notified that they lost the stamps in the local branch and advised me to file a claim online. I did that. After few days, I got letter stating that they will mail me reduced amount of $100. What a rip-off by our postal service?

I paid for a tracking number. When I checked the status THE STATUS IS NOT TRACKABLE. "USPS TRACKING IS UNAVAILABLE FOR THIS PRODUCT", is the second time. The first time the envelope with documents, took 6 months to get there.

I order almost everything online and I hate it when I see delivery is by USPS. I live in an apartment and FedEx and UPS ALWAYS brings my packages to my door. USPS never does. They leave them in our office or locked up in the mail room for me to get whenever the office happens to be open. It's sometimes taken me DAYS and even a week or more to get a package because it's locked up. USPS even has a place on their website that allows you to specify how you want your packages delivered. I filled it out and stated "Please bring packages to my door and DO NOT leave them in the office." I got a note attached to my package saying "We do not do that." I say if they are going to compete with the big boys like FedEx and UPS then USPS should take the extra time like they do to bring my packages to my door.
