My package had an issue. Apparently the person sending me the package wrote the wrong zip code on the package and after calling USPS several times (which takes hours of waiting) they lied to me about the package being ready for pickup, then when I go to the place to pick it up, the guy says I have no package there. I call again. It takes them 24 hours to figure out where my package is, and by then it's being sent back to China, 7 days before the time I was told they would send it back to sender. The post office is a genuine disgrace and I hope they all lose their jobs.

I am becoming more suspicious after having a few missing in the mail over several years that there is no doubt a theft problem within the walls of the USPS, distribution centers especially. A ring went missing in Jacksonville Florida DC in May and still shows missing on tracking info. Got nothing but the runaround from that place. Read the online reviews on Facebook sites for USPS distribution centers. Many people suspect their mail has been stolen. If your mail gets "lost" you have to file an online claim. You have to buy at least a tracking number to see where your item stops moving. If you don't what a great platform for somebody to steal your item or package, you won't ever know what the heck happened to it.
USPS makes a killing on your insurance money, postage and tracking numbers and we are the ones that get railroaded and lose out! Have fun making a claim for insurance too, it might just be denied and you've wasted a lot of your time! Why should they really care if your valuables get "lost" - important documents/cert envelopes, shoes, cell phones, electronics, baby clothes, rare collectibles, valuable artwork, jewelry items, tax refunds, birthday money, food items, and on and on! Do not call the facilities, make an online complaint or you may be complaining to those who stole your valuable items! Have noticed one red flag when you do call a facility if you get through at all and/or don't get hung up on, they may tell you something cockamamie like "your package/certified mail envelope might have been damaged by our machines and was sent to Atlanta for investigation." YEAH RIGHT.
Packages have to be hand canceled! What was in the certified mail envelope?! Probably do this to shirk suspicion. And what exactly is going on in Atlanta by the way. What are they doing with all of these packages where apparently no one can read the sender or the addressee because their abominable machine decimated their packages/envelopes!? Very suspicious. Goes against what they are all about, delivering mail in a timely and undamaged manner to the customer! Any package sent to "Atlanta for investigation" should be documented and photographed outside and inside and name the person who sent it! Can mail really be that shredded up beyond recognition?! NO! Wow they must have a cash cow sitting in that place of unclaimed mail and lost packages! Sending few to no packages anymore, too stressful!

What happened to the USPS in the past year? They closed a bunch of distribution centers that's what and parcel delivery has gone all the hell. I've had two packages show tracking to a distribution center, sit there a week with nothing happening, then show shipped to next facility and poof, they have disappeared. Are they dumping in a river or an abandoned quarry to keep up with quotas. Surely no one can be stealing this much. Who steals a pair of Swedish clogs, can't be any money in that. Really sad what's happened to a once fine service.

I've never experienced such horrible service, from sea to shining freaking sea. The USPS is a poster candidate for what happens when run by the government. I'll never use it to send a package again. FedEx or UPS will receive ALL packages from now on. My daughter's birthday package never arrived, said it was delivered, and when I called to inquire, I've been on hold for almost an hour. Clunkiest, most frustrating, least intuitive voice prompts/phone system ever. Wow. Just wow. They deserve to go under.

I researched online as much information as possible about my undeliverable package. I was able to request a redeliver with my address. Then it showed it was sent back. Then it said it was on its way to destination, BUT it did not say whether the destination was my home or the sender. THUS the only way to find out was to call. USPS said the wait was going to be from 45 minutes to 1 hour something. IT WAS 2 HOURS and 37 MINUTES before I could speak to someone to find out it was going back to sender. I asked why they weren't able to deliver and she suggested I call my local post office for that info. THAT is a joke because my local post office DOES NOT ANSWER THE PHONE!!! Otherwise I could have had the package problem fixed days before it was sent back!!!

I went to the post office today to ship a package. I decided to reuse a Priority Mail Medium Size Box. It had clearly been used before (even had an old shipping label on it). I purchased a Priority Mail label online and slapped it on the box, only to be told by the USPS that I cannot reuse the box unless I specifically purchase a Medium Size Flat Rate Box label, which cost 4 dollars extra. Boxes, apparently, cannot be reused - which is the dumbest thing I've ever heard.
I asked if I could purchase a label and the representative behind the counter said I should go back online to the site I purchased the label from and redo it there. I'm unsure why he wouldn't just sell me the label I needed and allow me to go home to cancel the label online, but he wouldn't. It's sad how bureaucratic and irrelevant the USPS has become. I took the box to FedEx, bought a label there, stuck it on the box and left. Apparently they have no problem using whatever box I bring in. What a waste of time.

Was sending by USPS priority mail express international to Europe an envelope with documents, paid $65. Supposed to be delivered in 3-5 days. Dropped at USPS on Apr 23, by tracking it has showed up at NY on Sept 2 11.30am. Talked to USPS, why it takes so long, asked for refund due it's almost 7 days passed, was told no refund due it was holding by customs. On my question what about if I used Global Express Guaranteed 1-3 days ($125+) and if it has failed to delivery in 3 days due custom - got same reply if it's hold by customs there is no refund. Certainly, next for international mailing will be using FedEx or DHL, looks like they more care about customers.

I sent a monitor by USPS to Southern California to have a minor repair. I wrapped it in two layers of bubble wrap and Styrofoam and it was boxed by a professional boxing co. with "Fragile" marked all over the box. It arrived destroyed. The company I sent it to notified me and I started a claim that day. USPS is impossible to deal with. There is no one to speak with. They emailed me that they settled the claim for a third of what the monitor was worth. They sent me a letter by snail mail that said the claim was denied. Mind you, I had insured the box. The website they sent me to was not online and there is no contact info on any of my correspondence. I will never use USPS again. I'm out $2800.00 which was the cost of the monitor and what it will cost me to replace.

I was being sent a valuable package which I had insured and requires a signature. As such, I had to be present at my house to receive delivery. Yesterday, Sat. Sept 1st, I took off from work in order to be at my house at the time when USPS said the package would arrive. It was "out for delivery" the entire day but was not delivered. Checking online, USPS said it would be delivered today, Sun Sept 2. So again, I take off from work to be at home awaiting delivery. I then receive a text today saying my package could not be delivered due to "animal interference."
First, while I do have two dogs, they are only ever outside in a fenced-in area of the yard with the fence being a highly visible picket fence. Second, since I was expecting a delivery I had them inside the house with me since 8 am. Thirdly, no postal worker or truck even came into our driveway today. So either the driver was attempting to deliver an insured signature confirmation package to the wrong address or they are straight-up lying about "animal interference." So now I'm forced to take a THIRD day off from work so I can sit home and wait for a delivery that was suppose to take place yesterday. This is simply unacceptable, unprofessional, and overall infuriating. DO NOT USE USPS FOR ANYTHING!

Customer service rep was militant in their style and quite enthused to inform me there was nothing they could do and they offer no recourse. Absolutely sickening. Never again! I just love throwing away twenty dollars.

My mother-in-law sent us my husband's birth certificate from Byrdstown, TN to Nashville, TN via USPS. The mail was on hold for who knows what reason and there was not even an attempted delivery. It took us more than a month to get our hands on the mail and my husband had to make 2 trips to the local USPS store to retrieve it! The first time he went in, they said they had to locate it and so he had to go back the second time. Byrdstown is 2 h away from Nashville. Driving down there would have been a less painful experience. Despite this, I gave them the benefit of doubt. It's a big country and mistakes happen sometimes! However, after my second dreadful experience, I am swearing USPS off for good. Never again.
I recently shipped some important documents to CA. Two days later, I receive a notification stating that the address is undeliverable/illegible/incomplete. I double, triple checked with the recipient and he assured me that the address given to me was correct AND the USPS online portal did detect it to be a legitimate address! So when the recipient visited the local post office to look into the matter, they looked up the details on their the intranet tracking system and confirmed that they had the correct address and were not sure why it was not delivered. So they put a note next to my case stating that they will contact the mailman and figure out what was wrong.
Of course this never happened and the recipient never got a phone call back like he was told he would once the mailman was contacted and the matter was resolved. Next, I contacted the local post office and filed a report. The person on the phone also agreed that the mail had the correct address and wasn't sure why it was not delivered. He also said that the package was not scanned correctly and so he had to look up the details again verifying the address. So my guess is that someone got lazy and sloppy and did not want to make the effort to deliver it. BTW, at this point, the mail has been sitting in a mystery land for the about 10 days!
I was finally told that since the address was undeliverable/illegible/incomplete, the mail was returned back to me. I am yet to receive it. So basically what was supposed to take 3-5 business days, has taken 12 days so far and who knows how long it will be before it gets here after which I have to resend the mail! What a horrendous service! I would rather pay a little more and use UPS or FedEx and save myself this stress. And honestly, I wasn't trying to save money. USPS was a convenient option to send mail from work and I had more faith in the government backed service. Clearly, a giant coconut had fallen on my head when I had that thought.

It’s supposed to be here today so I go on the tracking page & it said there was an issue with my address so it wasn’t delivered, like I said I put my address in fine so I know it’s not that, I live in apartment #3 so I went and wrote ‘packages go to side porch please’ on my mailbox & right above my side porch is #3. I moved across town 4 years ago and I am amazed to see many different postal workers driving their trucks into everybody's driveway to deliver the mail. I'm not sure if this is even allowed by the USPS. On the days that they park the truck and deliver the mail on foot they walk across everyone's front lawn. The other day a USPS delivery guy decided to look into the front picture window and have a look - see inside before using the front porch to cut to the next door neighbor's house. Another time I saw a guy in plain clothes deliver the mail via everyone's driveway wearing headphones and talking on his phone. Another thing they do is they don't track packages right. I've received many packages that only show a label being printed and there is no status change for days until it's on your doorstep, that's if they even bother to show it delivered. Too lazy to even use a handheld scanner.

I've made several orders of a case of soda. The first time they said attempted delivery. I contacted the office and requested they leave my Amazon package at the door. Nothing the next day. On the third day they left an attempted delivery card. I took the card into the local branch and they said the package was heavy. The carrier didn't want to deliver, this is 4 days after it was supposed to have been delivered.
I made a second order a month later and stayed home all day for delivery. No mail at all on delivery day plus they sent email at night from Amazon. Sorry we attempted to deliver. NO I WAS THERE ALL DAY. I went to contact them but hold time was 2 hours. I went in and watched the clerk argue with a customer about delivery for 25 minutes before I gave up and called Amazon.

Doesn't even deserve a star. I missed an international mail and they left a notice to say they attempt for delivery and it was final. Shouldn't there be first attempt before they sent a final notice? And when I requested for redelivered, I never receive the letter and when I called they don't acknowledge the redelivery confirmation number, and made me call 1 office after another to check where my mail is. They started to ask for tracking number which I do not have access to (tracking number changed once it arrives at US from oversea country). They can't do anything with information I have and there you go, I lost my mail.
(1) You should put in an address of where the mail will be kept at in case we want to pick it up (this will save a lot of hassle).
(2) You should send a picture of the mail with the tracking number so that we could use that information to retrieve our mail.
(3) When you provide option to redeliver a mail, you do it!!
(4) Benchmark yourself against other mailing service providers and you will see how bad you are.

You'd think for an organization started in 1775 it would be an well-oiled machine by now. I mailed a care package to our daughter working at a summer camp on Virginia's Eastern Shore at lunchtime on Monday, Aug. 13 in Chesapeake, Va., paying for priority mail with delivery estimated for the next day. The receipt confirms this. The camp is 75 minutes away. As of Thursday, Aug. 16 she has not received the package, so I tracked the package via USPS website, text and phone tracking services. As of 3:48 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 15., her package was in Sacramento, California. Seriously? California distribution facility across the country when it literally had to go about 75 miles down the road?
At this rate she will NOT get the package by the time she comes home from camp this weekend. She will not be able to share all the treats I got her with her fellow counselors. BIG FAIL, USPS! This is the third time in a row I have used USPS Priority Mail to send care packages to my kids at college or camp, and it's the third time in a row that the package has been lost, misdirected or delayed for weeks. I have lost all sympathy for the postal service. The USPS will no longer be my go-to shipping method. From packages to cards to invitations I have sent, I am repeatedly disappointed. Another example: I have sent birthday cards for work to the Outer Banks, just 90 minutes away - one took two months to get there, and one never arrived. And I have many, many more examples. Get it together, USPS; your country depends on you.

This is the second time in a month that USPS does not deliver a package. What’s the point of offering the service?! The first time they just didn’t show up and now they said they didn’t have access. I live in a community with NO GATE. It’s completely open to come in and out and nothing has been blocking both entrances because I’ve had family coming in and out. We received our regular mail. That’s just a lie and someone being lazy, pretending to do their job. Going forward I will never buy from a consumer using USPS to ship. How does a package sit as Pre-Shipment for over 5 hours when it was directly handed to a USPS worker at the counter? Just scan it as accepted. It is not that hard, it just makes more stress than needed for both the sender and the person who it should be going to. For spending the amount of money that I spent for the package I expect better service.
I have nothing but complaints about the USPS. I have fought and complained to them way too much than should be happening. The USPS truly does not care and they pretend they do. The commercials they have are so God awful fake and false information. Yeah right really cannot believe that. I have postmen that show up at my house at near 6 pm meanwhile the post office hours end at 5 pm, I have packages sit unscanned for multiple days meanwhile they are guaranteed a certain time, I have packages that go out of the way from the destination, I have packages tracked completely wrong and when you make a complaint they come back with an "Uhhh well. Uhhh you know uhh" answer 'cause they know they are wrong and they cannot give a straight up answer. I wish there was a way to never use the USPS but that is sadly not possible at all.

So the 10 pages, intact, fell out of the envelope. Maximus sent me a letter, saying they signed for an empty envelope. USPS denies any wrongdoing, they delivered an empty envelope, that's good enough for them. Complaint denied, I've always been against privatization - hell I still am - but does this sound OK with you? I won't be using certified mail again, and I'm wary of any of their add on services. And I may be repeating this every day till I die, be forewarned.

They stole the package 'cause I don't believe that a big box will jump out of a truck or open the airplane cargo door and parachute for safety somewhere, boxes don't disappear. They don't get lost but they do get stolen and the story of the USPS, and when you try to ask about the situation 2 things you get #1 same answer we don't know what happen and #2 they act like they are working for free and they are doing you a favor by talking to you. I contacted the local post office and the gentleman was nice & did some research for me (or so I thought) but it now sounds like a bunch of lies. I was told that I would receive a status update and that they have a picture of my envelope, and so on. It is now 8 pm and the package is not where it should be. How does a business function like this? Nobody is answering the phone after telling me that my hold time was between 30-45 minutes, that was a lie. This has to the worst experience that I have ever had with the postal service. I should receive a refund and an apology.
I contacted a few local post offices and the gentleman in the Farmingdale location was the only one with good customer service skills. First I would like to say we have never had any negative experiences with USPS till about six months ago. We sent my daughter's passport through USPS registered mail to Richmond, Virginia from Hilton Head Island, SC. The passport made it to Charleston, SC. according to the tracking number then disappeared. I called every customer service department I could reach and was treated with total disregard by everyone I spoke with. The standard line was "Wait a couple more days and call back."
That went on for two weeks. We explained how important finding the Passport was and our daughter needed it for a internship she was starting in Washington DC. Not to mention someone in the post office stole her passport and has her ID. Then they flat out told me "too bad there is no way for us to find it." I should have known not to send it USPS because we began to experience problems with our mail startling about eight months ago. We began receiving other people's mail and they began to receive ours. This went on for a while so we tried to lodge a complaint at the post office and the supervisor refused to come out and see me. I could not believe it so we followed up with the Post Master and she said she would look into it.
We continued to experience getting all different neighbor's mail as well as us receiving theirs. To make matters worse just yesterday our friends from N.Y. called and asked us if we moved? The invitation to their son's wedding was returned to them stamped "Not At This Address." They took a photo of it and e-mailed it to us that clearly showed they had used the correct address. It is crystal clear USPS has systemic problems with their employees. I'll repeat I believe they have a systemic problem at USPS and nobody should be using them. I hope and pray this is not representative of the condition of our country and our government!

Let's start local: My neighborhood's U.S. post office is lovely when you actually go there in-person and deal with the folks at the window. However, the delivery folks ignore instructions and lie about delivery attempts. I've now experienced several instances when I go to a package's tracking info to see it reported as having a delivery attempt on a day when I never even got a notice and/or got a "final notice" for a package that I'd never received a previous notice for. And that's just my local post office.
Both of the aforementioned issues happened with my most recent package, along with a failure to accommodate a redelivery request. I finally filed a case with USPS because of this. Didn't get a response beyond an acknowledgment of receipt, so I called to follow up/just to make sure. The first person I got helped me as much as she could, but that wasn't much - she was pretty much just able to give me the phone number for my local post office. I tried that post office multiple times, but they didn't pick up or even have voicemail.
So I tried calling the general USPS customer service line again, four days after I first filed a case (after still getting no follow-up directly related to the case I opened) and got the rudest, most unhelpful customer service person imaginable. Refused to help, and said everything short of calling me an idiot for wanting to know what was going on that USPS was giving me the silent treatment. (She kept claiming that they're "still trying to investigate/figure out the case," even though it's been four-plus days and even I know where the package is — i.e. at my local post office.) I wish I could say that I was surprised by this treatment, but given my past experiences, well... Here we are!

I sent a certified priority mail to the next city where I live. It’s only 10 miles away from me, my package had confidential documents and was supposed to arrive in time. That’s the first issue I explained to customer service before even sending it. I was given a 2 day guarantee for the mail to arrive plus a tracking number. Have been tracking my package. It’s a week now, status was updated and my package went to 50 miles away from me in Massachusetts then eventually no updates were coming up until this morning.
I was shocked, worried, frustrated and so mad, you can’t believe what am about to say. My package was in Texas ready for dispatch. I don’t know what to do. I called USPS customer care with long wait times of 1 hr 30 mins. When I got a chance to speak to them they told me they have no idea how my package reached Texas and not sure if it will be delivered back to Massachusetts. I swear to God. Then I tried to file a complaint for a lost package over the phone and then I couldn't get in touch with real person for hours and when I was finally able to reach someone they told me that I didn't follow the steps right for them to complete the tracking of my lost package and sent me all the way back to the beginning.
I then tried to do it via email and it guarantees that someone will call you within one business day. It has since been 3 days and I'm still waiting on a response. Every time I try to find my package over the phone I'm led into a dead end or to an actual person who refuses to help me properly and sends me back to the beginning of the automation. I'm completely dissatisfied with my experience with USPS and this isn't the first time this has happened to me either. I'm now out 90 bucks because of how unreliable their delivery is.

I had reordered a phone case through warranty and my package was suppose to arrive 6/19/18. It was scanned as delivered yet when I went to collect my package from my Cluster box unit, I neither had a package nor a key to the larger lock boxes. I am the only key holder for my box so no one else was able to collect my mail. I contacted USPS the following day (My mail was checked after closing time) and was given a case number. I was told I would receive a call from my local office by 6/23/18.
After hearing nothing I called back USPS on 6/25/18 and was on hold for 50 minutes for a 5 minute conversation to contact Consumer Affairs & the local office. I then called the local office to get busy tones. Called Consumer Affairs to have them send an email. Still nothing 2 days later. Called Consumer Affairs back, they reopened my case saying that my local office deemed it resolved without contacting me. I finally received a call from my local office on 6/30/18 saying they will speak with my carrier. I never received a call back.
I finally got through my local office today 7/5/18 to have the case reopened AGAIN. The carrier insist that I received my package in the large box, and should have received the key to that box. So basically one of my neighbors has received my package & isn't kind enough to return it to me. Thankfully the manufacturer of the case is amazing and sent me another replacement case at no charge. Very disappointed in USPS and their lack of customer service and inadequate delivery and wish I wasn't stuck using them.

Time for the USPS to go the way of the Pony express!

I have asked many times to be able to place a box at the end of my driveway. No answer BUT I hear thru the grapevine that it's the mail carrier who is refusing to deliver to my entire road! I surely hope that is not true. But I still have no mailbox and I still have NO ANSWERS! Tired of paying for this and having to shag my mail! The day after that the following tracking update came: "Your item arrived at our USPS facility in PHOENIX AZ DISTRIBUTION CENTER on June 21, 2018 at 6:54 am. I complained - nothing was fix just promises from Brian **. The supervisor that has retire.
On Sat 6/2/18. I asked her if she can take some packages, she scream at me, agitating her arms, that I never listen. She had some big packages for me and she threw them on the floor, I just reply: "What's is wrong with you?" She continue mimicking, being sarcastic, I told her, "You're being record." She reply: "Uhh!! I'm so scare, I'm being record..." Just like a spoil brat. She continue saying with a loud voice all the way around the block delivering mail. When she was 2 houses across the street my daughter started recording her, and she continue the same way, "Uhhh!! I'm being record. I'm so scare." She added: "She's crazy, she's mentally ill." She cross the street and met with a neighbor and she told him that I was mentally ill and crazy.
I called to complain. The supervisor Leo ** called me 2 days later. I explained all to him, I told him that is totally unacceptable. He apologized and told me that she couldn't get fire - I replied: "I'm not asking for that, I just want her to be move somewhere else, I'm concern about my mail and what this person can do to it, or she will not deliver at all." He said: "She can't be move. Only if she ask for it." I said, "No wonder she does whatever she wants, and I'm not the only neighbor that have problems with her." He promised to talk to her and with the head supervisor and that if she mis-behave to call him and he will be there. He told me, "I'm new here. Just give a chance to fix things for you." Well he didn't. He didn't talked with the main Supervisor as he promise.
Next Monday 6/11/18, she didn't pass. She saw my daughter outside my porch and she just took off. I called again to the Supervisor Leo ** and he said that he told her to avoid confrontation with me. What confrontation? I had never said nothing wrong to this lady nor I'm going to do it. I said I even give her a chance to patch things out, but she got away finally what she was looking for initially. Not to pick up any mail from me plus she's not delivering any mail. She just pass by my house twice already and doesn't drop anything. She only cover the my main carrier one day per week. I called the Consumer Affairs and I'm waiting for them to resolve this. I never had such a bad experience with any post office in the world. But the USPS wanted to be the first apparently. I sent a parcel/package to Germany, on the 08/05/2018 and after more than 1 month later, is it still in Australia. For everyone who knows where Germany is, it's not on the same side of the globe where Australia is. So I went to the post office after 20 days of shipment and they told me, I have to wait, and I can maybe get my money back after 30 days. So I waited and tracked it regularly but still the same message. "In transit in the final destination country." I don't know, Australia doesn't seem to me like it's Germany, so how could it be in the final destination country?
After more than 1 month I went the 4th. time to the post office to get the same answer. "We can't do anything after the package left our country". Really? It's your fault that this package left from Los Angeles to Australia, definitely NOT MINE or anyone else!!! I paid for the shipping and for the value, and now they're making it easy - with saying, "We can't do anything and we can't give you your money back." After I spent 1h 45min in line on the phone - I still get the same answer. They don't even want to contact the Australian Post, I should do that. I'm sorry I'm the sender and I paid you to send it to the final destination which is the same on the receive: GERMANY.
Conclusion: If you want to send something, be aware, do not ever use USPS, when everything is fine, then it's a good service, but if you have problems: No one cares about you and you will probably only lose your product and your money with this really silly service. Really, really disappointing and NEVER AGAIN, NEVER!

I have never wrote so many complaints about a business as I have for USPS since I moved to Bedford, TX. This is my 20th complaint and apparently it involves the same one person - who delivers the mail. I am not going to go in details about my first 20 complaints but starting - from not leaving notes about packages in my mailbox to not updating status in your online system and whatnot. I have met this woman and she seems normal at first, but now I am pretty sure there are some screws in her head that are loose or some wires that are not supposed to be touching are actually touching.
Here is my latest complaint - I just returned from a 3 week trip overseas, and your employee - "the federal government representative" - has removed the sticker with my name from my mailbox and put a note for the apartment's complex that I do not reside there anymore and my mail is not being delivered anymore! JUST WHO THE HELL THAT PERSON THINK SHE IS??? I have mail from insurance companies, state boards, IRS, universities and whatnot and that ** removes all and puts a note that I do not live there?! I am speechless! This is outrageous.
Never had to deal with such an IDIOT from USPS before, I'm not even mad anymore. That ** acts as she owns the Bedford, USPS office - does not leave notes in mailbox, does not update tracking numbers, puts notes that I don't live there anymore, and top of all your CS reps told me awhile ago, on one of my first complaints that "it is up to her to decide whether she will leave a note in my mailbox or not", and meanwhile packages has been left by her in the leasing office and leasing office people do not even want to accept them - it is not their responsibility to notify anybody about incoming mail, sign for registered packages, or keep track of residents' mail! Outrageous.
Updated on 07/20/2018: Reading all the review by other customers made me feel a little bit better about myself and my situation, because my experience with the local USPS office in Bedford, TX has been very similar like others and the worst part is that you try to complain to a supervisor or USPS online and and they treat you even worse. It makes you feel completely helpless.
My experience started 2 months ago when I was overseas for 3 weeks, my mailbox got full and the delivery person by the name of Pamela left a note that my mail will be held at the postal office because I am not emptying my box. I removed all the coupons and brochures that they stuff my mail box with and left a new sticker with my name (it is an apartment complex). For 5 days in a row we were playing the same "game" with that individual - I put a sticker with my name, next day she removes it and put one stating "unclaim" and refuses to deliver my mail. Really? Is that a normal person. I went to their office, spoke to a supervisor and he made me fill a form so they can start deliver my mail again, meanwhile all the mail for past 4 weeks have been returned to sender.
As most of you know in the apartments there is an area with all the mailboxes, and many people just throw around all that coupons, advertisements, brochures etc. A week ago I have a note in my mailbox from that person saying to "stop throwing my mail on the ground or I will return ALL your mail to sender. I AM NOT YOUR MAID!" - word for word. I went to USPS local office. Spoke a supervisor, he acted all serious about it, and next day - my new name sticker is removed again and no mail. The supervisor's name was Bobby. He assures me that will never happen again, until next when my latest sticker is removed again and note saying "ALL mail is held at P.O - per Bobby whoever".
I went looking for Bobby. He was hiding all day from me, turning down my phone calls and finally responded apologizing saying tomorrow I'll get my mail delivered. Today I got another one of my name stickers scratched from the mailbox, and no mail. Bobby is hiding again, but another supervisor answers my phone call and starts yelling in phone that she knows "all about" my situation, and they are not going to deliver my mail till I stop throwing stuff on the ground, literally acting like a drunk person, won't let me speak and threatens me with the police??!! For what - she doesn't know either.
When I was able to ask her - how could I throw mail on the ground when my mail is not being deliver for the past week, she responds that she sees the pictures... I submitted many complaints on the USPS site last month, with no luck hearing from them, I've complained to the inspector general with no luck either. Today I spoke to somebody from USPS consumer affairs and supposedly they "will see and investigate". This is USPS, our federal government postal service. I don't know what are the qualifications for that department, but they definitely need to start doing polygraphing and psych evaluation. I am just speechless. This is outrageous!

So I am a collector. I order things off of eBay all the time, and I can tell you that in the past 3 years since living in my new apartment, none of the packages that need a signature have not been attempted to be delivered. Today, the tracking number stated that the package was out for delivery. I live on the second floor of a three family building. I go downstairs at 8:00 Am and not just unlock the front door but crack it open. I wait all day for the knock on the door, which never comes. I go downstairs and in my mailbox there is an unable to deliver card which I have come to be too familiar with. They didn’t even try to deliver the damn package.
I have had sellers use UPS and FedEx and I never have had a problem. They come up, knock, I sign and it’s done. How hard is it to go up 10 steps? I know I may sound like I'm letting a small thing get to me, but it’s about principle. How lazy do you have to be? There have been many times that I place a sign on the door to place the package inside of the door and not on the porch, as some items are expensive and I don’t want them to be stolen. Do they listen? Nope. They leave it on the porch without a care in the world. I have come to the point that I am going to start asking my sellers to not ship through USPS.

I have had multiple issues with USPS. There are the issues where I've selected to get something in X days and it doesn't show up in X days. It shows up in X + several days. Then there are the issues where they've said they've delivered a package, but they've delivered it to Narnia instead of my address. Then there are the times they've just straight-up lost packages.
Let's also not forget that time I shipped something from the US to a military base overseas. I was there when the item was packed with packing materials. When the item arrived, all the packing materials were gone and replaced with several random USPS envelopes. The box had clearly been opened and the item had been jostled around so much so that the filling inside of it was coming out.
Then there are the times when they forwarded my package instead of delivering it to the address I chose because my mail was being forwarded, even though it was a package and not mail. To top all of that off, they broke and/or lost the package and I had to speak with Amazon to get the entire order reordered and sent to a completely different address. They only stay open until 5 when most of us work until 5.
Here's the best one though -- they are not required to walk upstairs. That's right, if you live up steps, they don't have to walk up them to deliver your package. They can leave pink slips instead. This is what has most recently happened to me. I started getting a bunch of pink slips instead of getting packages. I try to get redelivery online and it says that my address is not eligible for online redelivery. This is odd considering I had just requested an online redelivery the week before. I filled out the pink slips and left them in my mailbox. Guess where they still are? My mail box. I know they opened the panel to put mail in. They just left them in there. So now my only option is to go to the post office and pick up these packages. What's the problem with that? The post office closes at 5. I work until 5. I always work until 5 and I'm sure as heck not taking vacation time to go to the post office.
So the takeaway from that is that if you live upstairs, without an elevator, USPS is too lazy to walk upstairs. They can leave you pink slips instead. If you can't get to the post office, tough luck. I would understand if we were talking about some package I ordered that weighed about forty pounds, but we're talking about boxes that weigh two or three pounds, maybe. They can't walk upstairs and carry two pounds to my door. UPS and FedEx don't have any problems and they have carried some heavy stuff to my door. I am tempted to contact sellers every time I order something online to inform them that USPS does not deliver packages to my house and if they still ship it USPS I'm tempted to just ask for a refund because I'm never going to get that item.

That's only a day they THINK they may deliver it so don't wait by the window. This service has gone straight downhill over the years. I'm not sure if it's just the Rockland, Massachusetts USPS that's incompetent or the entire system, but, again, they've not only lost a valuable package but given me the runaround in the process of figuring out what happened to it. To start, the entire experience of dealing with the staff at the Rockland office was terrible. When I asked simple questions, they were surly and uncooperative. When I asked that the packages (containing fine glass pieces) be handled carefully, they failed to listen to me and actually dropped a box on the floor in front of me. Now, after paying $290.00 to ship the packages from Massachusetts to Ohio, they've lost them. This is after I requested and paid for expedited delivery.
Complaining to USPS headquarters amounted to nothing--they just gave me the runaround and sent me back to the Rockland store! I think the biggest problem here is the people working for this organization think they're entitled to jobs and are not held accountable. Luckily, the glassware was insured, but it doesn't alter the fact that it's all missing. I wouldn't be surprised if one of the Rockland employees has it in his possession. Do not ship anything of value in a large box priority or any other way. If you do, you should make sure to add insurance so that you do not lose hundreds of dollars. I bought the box at the USPS post office and taped it with parcel shipping tape that I also bought from them. The box was to arrive in 2 days. I drove back to the Post office to state that when I punch in the tracking number it says it is still at the Santa Clarita Processing Center. This is where it disappeared. After spending over an hour with the customer service and literally filling out multiple forms, I still have not received any money back.
The shipping was $60.60 and the items inside cost more than $240. I have driven back to the Post office at least five times since I shipped the package the beginning of April. The Post Office is unable to assist in any capacity except to give a customer service department 800 number. I tried to submit my claim online; however, it did not accept my mailing date. It was a glitch in the system, because it was dated within the 60-days after mailing date. As a result, I submitted forms by mail. Unfortunately, when I talked to them a week later, they were unable to locate this form that I shipped to them in the USPS self addressed envelope to Atlanta, GA. After talking to them yet another time, I was mailed two claim forms, where I had to list each item separately and attach original receipts.
Now the question is... do I pay an additional amount to mail my claim forms to their Saint Louis, MO office? Registered mail or perhaps Express. This experience has been very frustrating and I am so disappointed in my government. Recommendation: Send parcels UPS or FedEx and remember to ensure it for the full amount you spent on the items inside.

I will explain what happen to me very detailed. I do not want this happen to anybody else. USPS is a company that does not take responsibility if they lose your package. I really want to avoid more people getting affected with their terrible services. I sent a package from Phoenix, AZ to Houston TX, I paid the 2nd day priority mail service which includes a 50 dollar insurance and they lost the package. When I checked the tracking information it said package has been delivered, I checked with the addressee and the leasing office, nothing had been delivered. When I submitted a claim online and explained very detailed the information and... guess what the replay was? "According with the tracking information the package was delivered". This is just offensive and unacceptable.
I called customer service to see if there was another way to get this solved and I had to wait 1 hour and 14 minutes on hold to be able to talk to a customer service representative. When I finally talked to a customer service representative she told me that she was sorry but she could not verify the information I was giving to her due the system was down. "AWESOME". I went ahead and give it another try online and appealed one more time. They took about 1 week to respond and again I got denied, this time with no explanation. This whole process took me about a month. The 2nd day priority mail has a 50 bucks insurance, but it did not matter. They do not care about their customers. This is without any doubt the worst shipping company in USA. If you really care about what you send DO NOT USE THEM. NEVER.

Paid for priority mail and was told it would be at its destination in 2 days. 7 days later, it's still not arrived. And for some reason, it's been sitting at the same hub for more than 2 days now. When you call the customer service number, you go through a replaying theme that does not get you through! Then, if you do get through, it's a 1 hour and 45 minutes wait! No kidding!!!! The clerks in the post office are rude and give the minimum amount of service as possible. I still have no idea where my package is. And it has highly sensitive items in it. I only used USPS due to the fact that it was shipping to a PO BOX.

I was lucky in that what Amazon had shipped was 3 large bags of cat food and none of them were destroyed. BUT the image of the cans of cat food... 22 cans were destroyed. And finally today I found the ripped up bag in my mail box. DESTROY USPS since they don't care one bit about the things that are delivered to us AND ARE PAID to to be delivered like this.

Went into the Stafford Location to drop off a package and get an acceptance receipt and was rudely told that if I wanted a receipt, I needed to go to another post office. (I posted video on YouTube) Why are you the postal workers so angry when paying customers print their own receipts from home? We still spending our money with the post office. The time the tellers spend explaining or arguing with a customer they could've gotten that customer out the door with a smile. SOME post offices want to charge anywhere from $1.05 to $1.25 to give you an acceptance receipt when we have already paid for our postage, and we only need a receipt to show our customers that their package is in the hands of the post office and is on its way. When packages come up missing the post office puts the blame back on the mailer who didn't get a receipt. Which is time costly, money lost from items mailed, and a bad view of the post office.
We did not create the online shipping. The post office did and the complaint is that "We get a discount if we print from home" so we have to pay more to get a package scanned and get a receipt to ensure our customers that their package is on the way. I record every phone call and I have some very rude calls when it comes to this case. These people can be very rude and nasty and make someone who is a victim of the post office mistake feel worse than things already are. The post office is a monopoly and it allows its workers to treat their customers is such a way.

I check the tracking and it says "unable to deliver". After going through it with the post office, I get an excuse that the carrier THOUGHT my residence was vacant and my packages are in their forwarding facility and I will receive them according to how busy they are. Mind you, there are 2 houses across from me that are vacant, the only similarities in the addresses is the first number. It's been over a month and still nothing!!! The package I mailed to a friend on March 21, 2018 showed tracking from March 21 to March 24 and then nothing. The package was not delivered and the post office official informed me the messages posted were automated and meant nothing. They could find no record of my package after the original scan into my local post office. Ultimately, I filed a claim for the missing package with receipts for the purchase of the item as well as the postal services purchased which included $50 insurance. My claim was processed and I received a check in the amount of $47.14. Surprisingly my package reappeared on May 11 and was delivered on May 12, but today I received the following email from the post office:
"Thank you for using USPS.com. The US Postal Service® received the search request you submitted and it's being processed. I was notified by my building management company that they did not receive my March rent money order. When I in fact did send it through USPS. I had to pay $22 dollars for each money order that I needed tracked (sent 2 money orders in the same envelope). When the money orders were tracked it found that one was cash with the original written company and the other was washed and then a new name was written in. This envelope was dropped into a public blue New York City mailbox and I understand that thieves fish out mail to obtain mail from boxes but as I went to file a complain with my local Police department, I was told by a Detective that outside public blue New York City mailbox keys were being sold to these thieves by NYC Postal workers.
Now I don't know which of the 2 possible ways were used to steal my money orders but I do know that I am out a month's rent until (IF) I get my money back from the Check cashing company (MoneyGram) That also wants me to pay $35 dollars a money order to file affidavits to have these money orders investigated with no guarantee that I will get my money back.

I was told to contact Groupon instead. Now I have a very important package that was sent to me in Atlanta during my stay over the weekend of May 11-13th, I did not receive the package in time and spoke to security who received my package and placed it in the drop box as return to sender. The mail person picked up packages that day but, for some reason my package was never scanned. It has been two weeks now and still waiting on my package with no help from USPS. Someone has my package and needs to be liable for it. I need my package.

US Post Office Irving 75063 - I’m only giving this 1 star because no stars is not an option. I regularly come into this post office and there are two older ** women and an older Asian man that work at the counter. The area is predominantly Indian and ** that live in the community. I watch how they interact with people, none of them ever greet anyone when they are providing service. They always have a nasty attitude and Talk about the customers amongst each other as they walk off if the experience didn’t go well. When a person asks for help they are of no assistance if it requires thinking ability and generally reply with smart remarks. More often than not, I have seen customers leave in a very irritated way after having been serviced, myself included.
Today I was even more frustrated because I came in to ask for help with A SERVICE THE POST OFFICE OFFERS AND WOULD THINK THEIR EMPLOYEES SHOULD BE COMPETENT IN KNOWING how to use and show customers how to use, “Informed delivery”. I asked the older woman who was helping me if she could assist me with verifying because the system would not allow me to verify my information online because I recently had issues with fraud of my identity so the system prompted me to come into the facility to verify. The woman clearly said to me “unless you have a barcode, we have nothing to talk about” and I asked her how I would go about getting that because the system didn’t prompt that when I set up my account. I asked her if she could help me, and the other older woman chimed in and said, “well the system asks you questions that only YOU would know about yourself”.
I explained that I understood that, however had issues with verifying my identity due to issues with fraud. I then asked for a third Time if they could assist me with getting a barcode so I can verify and be on my way. They then ignored my question and wrapped up the transaction that I was originally there for and told me, "Have a nice day." I asked again for the 4th time if someone could help me and they pointed to the package window and said the person over there could help. I get to the window and the guy knows absolutely NOTHING about what I’m talking about and says there should be a barcode. So I reiterated the situation as to why I could not verify again and he calls the manager or supervisor to the front and says she should be able to help.
She gets to the front and says the exact same thing everyone else said and offered no assistance or even attempted to show me how to get this “barcode” from the site I was logged into and already have readily available for the assistance I was requesting. I asked her, “Well how is it that no one in here knows how to use this service yet y’all offer it? Who can help me with this?” She tells me “well let me get you the number to Consumer Affairs” so in frustration I said forget it and stormed out. Something needs to change with the attitudes and competence of these employees. I’m spending MY money to send mail. I don’t appreciate being talked down to or treated like less of a person. People need to be held accountable.

So on Monday, I had a package that said delivered on tracking. I went to look for it and it wasn't there. I figured I would wait a day because sometimes they're marked as delivered but come the next day. Then, I came home the next day and THE DAY AFTER THAT to no package. I then asked my local post office what was going on. They used the latitude and longitude of the system when the package was scanned alongside the same latitude and longitude when another package (that I actually received) was scanned. They were both scanned in the exact same spot (my driveway) on that first day. I was told to call them if I still couldn't find it the next day because they had no clue where it would've went.
Keep in mind I have never had a mail thief here, ever. So today, they call me and say, "Yeah, we talked to the carrier and she said she left it in the same spot as the other package the day it was marked as delivered. She specifically remembers leaving it there." Uhhh, obviously not because it WASN'T THERE. They basically said they couldn't help me and that they don't know what could've happened, they probably thought I was crazy. Now I'm considering a theft, but that's weird because the other package was there.
I pretty much concluded that my package was gone forever and that I need to re-order the item. Not even 20 minutes after I re-order, I get a text from my mother that says, "Your package just got delivered". OH, YOU DELIVERED IT ON MONDAY EH? THEN WHY IS IT BEING DROPPED OFF NOW? I'm just peeved because they could've checked to see if they left it in a car or maybe they just forgot to deliver it. No, instead the mail carrier lied about "specifically remembering putting that package down on Monday" and caused the other people at the post office to automatically dismiss me. At least say, "Oh yeah! That might be in my car!" Or "I think I delivered it but maybe I'm wrong, I'll check." Overall, I'm pretty angry about this whole ordeal.

Since Jan. 2018 I have had family, friends, and clients use the USPS Priority Overnight service from South Jersey and most recently from Florida to overnight to my post office box in Maine. How hard could an overnighted envelope (or 3) confirmed by the USPS at a rate of $25 to arrive the next day, or possibly even a day later, be? It's proven by USPS standards to be IMPOSSIBLE and with no remorse from them.
This is the third separate time since Jan. 2018 that Priority Overnight by USPS has completely failed. Last Priority Overnight to me arrived almost two (2) weeks later in a crumpled dirty ball! The one before that, almost two (2) weeks later and 'whereabouts unknown' when tracking number is entered into the internet USPS tracking services online. This last USPS Priority Overnight to me was just mailed from Florida early morning hours this past Friday, April 13th promised to be here Monday, April 16th. Today is Wednesday, April 18th - and NO ENVELOPE. No one to talk to on the phone when you call the numbers. NO USPS ACCOUNTABILITY. I'm only left to follow the vague tracking information by entering my tracking number on the USPS site online.
Tracking states it arrived in Hamden, Maine at the processing center Monday. Tracking states it left there last night. Where is it today? Tracking states it's in transit. Who at USPS is responsible for explaining where it factually might be, and or when a $25 confirmed OVERNIGHTED PACKAGE will actually get here after it's 3 days late? NO ONE AT THE USPS.
My post office in Maine is not off the beaten path. It's on 'the main highway' in Maine used for decades by traveler, residents, and tourists all summer long - ACADIA HIGHWAY 1. My post office is EASY to get to, and during this nice April weather, no roads are snowed in to cause a delay. And why have a USPS counter clerk tap the buttons on their USPS computer when any of the three (3) Priority Overnights were CONFIRMED with an ARRIVAL DATE, and then ask my trusting family, friends, and clients for $25 for this service when the USPS knows this service obviously is flawed and there's a higher percentage rate the overnighted envelope will NOT ARRIVE ON TIME?
What could be causing yet another the delay on PRIORITY ENVELOPE you ask? I HAVE NO IDEA because you cannot get a HUMAN BEING on the phone at the USPS that knows where your paid for 'important overnighted' envelope might be. There is just options to leave a voicemail in the void universe of what we call 'the USPS'. We are once again getting a refund of our $25 which we wish we had not needed to and the services worked. Let's not forget this complaint is mainly about the INCONVENIENCE the USPS has placed on us, their most faithful public. The USPS seems to have no remorse about that.
How will the USPS stay in service when they are this irresponsible with our important and precious belongings we are entrusting them with? Then to ask the public to PAY THEM for these unprofessional and irresponsible services? We surely won't be using the USPS Priority Overnight ever again. Three times in a row is enough to lose faith in this service. We're sad about it, as the USPS has been our lifeline in the past 100 years in our family. It's not anymore.

The slip says 3 or so reasons the package couldn't be delivered - none of which match our package. The size, shape, no signature needed, etc. So why do we not get our packages for 3-4 DAYS after it says delivered. We tried to talk to the people who are at the desks there and they use under-staffing as an excuse. My follow up to that is if you don't get a chance to put it in the box on Monday, why does it not automatically go to the top of the pile on Tuesday to get put in my box? I filed a report right then and had pictures taken at the time we opened it and paint chips recovered from the case. All of this was done at the time I picked it up at the unit with the manager.
Fast forward a couple of weeks and I hear nothing so I call and the manager says he doesn't really remember the incident and he doesn't have any paint chips but that his office is being painted so maybe they can were misplaced. Long story made short, he did not file any of the paperwork, lied to everyone about it, and I lost more than half of the value of the guitar.
But wait, it doesn't stop there. Last Christmas we ordered something on the line for my Mother. I get a notice that it has been delivered, no package. I am told this after the manager says she goes to the McDonald's tomorrow check it out and no one remembers getting a package delivered. I finally figured out that they didn't remember because it was never delivered. The seller had failed to ensure the package, my fault there, and the Walton post office knows that so if it doesn't quite make it where it is supposed to be, no sweat because no claim can be made. Then when you show them the value of the item they still do not want to reimburse you. Okay. I sold a brand new iPhone 8 on eBay for $848.00 and shipped it using 2 day priority mail. It was going to California however it never made it past the first distribution center. After 5 days the tracking change to "on its way to next location." I called and was told I had to complete a lost mail claim. I did that however completing a lost mail claim does absolutely nothing. After one phone call my claim was closed. Then I was told the item was probably delivered but never scanned again. I don’t think so.
So I put in for an insurance claim, send pictures of my receipt of sale, pictures of the phone, and pictures of the buyer complaining to eBay about never receiving the phone. USPS says that’s not enough evidence and only issued me a $60.00 check. So I’m wondering how many expensive items are getting lost in the mail because something isn’t adding up. If the phone never updated from the distribution center someone must have taken my package that worked there. It was taped securely and the label was printed from the computer. There needs to be some type of accountability held toward this agency. People work hard for their money and to send $60 for a phone that cost over $800 is ridiculous.

Very important tax documents and receipts that were to be delivered to my accountant via Certified Mail with return receipt have been lost by the USPS. This has caused great anguish, along with money and time dealing with protecting my credit from potential fraud. I will never trust the USPS again.

I have one package that is over 2 months due. No tracking updates. The tracking information makes no sense. I have an additional package now missing as well. It's over three days late - supposedly in Atlanta somewhere. My feeling is as customers, we are using a service / product that is advertised to be prompt, unstoppable and performed with integrity. But what is delivered is unreliable, seldom prompt and the attitudes I have gotten from the USPS workers is that we should just expect this and write it off as a loss. Then you find out that they sell your items after 30, 60 or 90 days unless you file a missing mail request. I paid at the time for tracking and security.
I have received the customary computer response and nothing more. Filing a missing mail request is difficult to complete and I have no confidence it's being pursued. I wish the managers, Post Master and all his upper manager people would stop the SPIN on the opioid connection with our mail being lost - check out their auction page and see our stuff in bins being destroyed and sorted and sold. It's criminal the way our money is being taken and we are trusting them with our important items and they walk away making a profit off our loss. They should be broken up and sold to other companies that can actually get items delivered. Whoever that is.

USPS is one of the worst government agency and the only one in the USA. Being the only one they can do whatever they want with people. They play dirty games, and they hide from customers golden information. I have a P O Box for many years in Mar Vista Station zip code 90066, and I always received large packages including a massage table from Amazon. I never missed one package! When DHL Express made a free delivery on 11/22/17 this item was a refurbished iPhone 6 golden, they delivered in my 100% correct address in Los Angeles. A full physical address from a post office branch with a P O Box number showing as a unit #. Guess what. DHL never make deliveries in PO Boxes, and USPS does NOT tell customers about this secret. Another secret is that the DHL track # called waybill does NOT convert automatically into USPS tracking # for PO Boxes ONLY. But it does convert for another type of international deliveries.
The employee from the USPS Mar Vista knowing this precious information ahead of me, stealed my phone and she is NOT working for this branch anymore. I'm trying to get a refund of 267.76 US dollars and the agency told me, that the seller in Hong Kong must to file a international form involving DHL telling that I did NOT received my stolen package. The trick is that the seller has the same paperwork that I have from DHL showing that the clerk from Mar Vista Post office where I have all my deliveries done, had signed as received this package..
The seller doesn't want to get involved, because the item I was received! I just have to believe that the universe will take care the mean rules, the mean employees. I was a victim for sure. Also I'm a low income person receiving help from the USA government. None knows the sacrifice that I did to save this money to buy me a used phone, because mine, is dying soon. It's too old. That's all for now. People be careful with this agency.

First I go through this problem with FedEx, now UPS. My Package was in Columbia S.C yesterday at 4.am, now it said it came to Summerville SC later on that day. It told me it was on the truck for delivery and even said I signed for my package. Now how could you receive a package that never came.

It’s been an ongoing issue with the Post Office Branch in Wading River NY. The abuses have been there but now with the ubiquitous IP camera, it’s been all recorded and thrown back at them. First, it was the video of the carrier delivering a one of a kind lamp, but pulling in my driveway stopping and throwing the package out of the truck. Misdelivery is a major concern since you don’t always know when something is coming, Street addressed here are only a suggestion, if the house number is the same, it’s close enough. Time and again, I would see a USPS tracker delivery shown as delivered but come to find out that it was never delivered it’s still sitting in the branch.
This last situation with delivery is most troubling. I’m a big Amazon shopper. Many times I order for weekend delivery. I can attest that any of the contracted deliveries scheduled for a Sunday between Amazon and the Post Office NEVER get delivered on time but are posted as delivered. I can only assume that the USPS does this to keep their on-time delivery statistics up. Yet Amazon doesn’t seem to listen to the issues.

When they don’t want to deliver your mail, the new thing is blame it on the customer. I had a package scheduled for delivery today, package NEVER showed and when I went to check tracking this is what I found, “Delivery attempt, held at post office per customer request”, this is an out and out lie! I never asked them to hold my package! I waited most of the day for package to arrive, needless to say I’m extremely furious.

I purchased a box for 6 months and paid a late fee. Afterwards, I realized in my conversation with a postal rep that they had smaller boxes for cheaper prizes. I asked to cancel the one I just had purchased and to buy the smaller one instead. The "system" would not allow it. I would only get half of my purchase and lose the rest. Where in the world is this acceptable!!! Someone needs to start a sue USPS and get the monies they are forcibly taking from us. I was never given any information on what would happen if I paid for a box and then changed my mind to get a different one... Never!!! Also I paid on March 14 and they have it starting on March 1st to August 31st (not September 1st). I thought I was paying for 6 months... NOT!!!

I had no choice but to give one star, can't post with no stars. I continue to try to support the USPS but time after time they have failed me. Good luck if you have an issue! The post office will give you the Consumer Affairs phone number which I believe isn't manned. You can also open a case on the internet. The USPS has three days to respond, if they don't respond, contact them. Once they fail to respond, try contacting them. The voice mail system takes you in circles. Put your tracking number in and you receive the same information that is on the tracking site. Choose find my package and you will be told the agent has the same information as listed on the website. Continue to try to contact customer service, then wait 1-2 hours on hold. If you have something of importance to ship, I suggest using another service.

WHERE do I even begin? I don't know if it's the USPS in general or my carrier, but I am damned sick of not getting my packages in a timely fashion. EVERY time it won't fit in the box, I get a "Delivery Exception", claiming that I am not available, when that is NOT true! I ALWAYS request Delivery Notifications for ALL of the ones they have available (arrived at post office, out for delivery, delivery exception, delivered, etc.). And not only that, but I have a tracking app on my phone, so I am ALWAYS aware of the day my package is to be delivered. I am therefore ALWAYS AT HOME AND WAITING, usually mere feet from my buzzer. And on these occasions, there has NOT been a valid attempt to deliver.
Either the carrier is not ringing the buzzer, or she's only doing so once and very quickly, which is NOT ACCEPTABLE! Maybe the USPS should teach their carriers to ring the bell MORE THAN ONCE and for LONGER THAN ONE SECOND! Also, there was no Delivery Notice, no slip for the one that was supposedly attempted today! Why would THAT have been? And then, when I DO get my packages, they're often damaged. I purchase from eBay a LOT and sellers often don't offer Insurance, so then the USPS says that "can't do anything" because there was no insurance! What a waste of space the USPS is anymore!

My package was scanned in that it was delivered and left on my front porch. There was nothing there. I have tried to contact someone to get this issue resolved and I didn’t have any luck. If driver is scanning packages in early it need to stop. Tried email. USPS said I had to wait 7 days. Such a inconvenience.

The USPS asks us to file insurance claims online. They provide a form for it. The form can be SAVED but will expire in 3 days if not submitted. There is no SUBMIT button anywhere. It's nothing but an exasperate-so-maybe- they-go-away scam. PO tech support refuses to respond when asked about it. So I filed the claim with the local postmaster. She was told to ask for "comparables" to determine value. (A) The item was a rare, unique antique without comparable. (B) The item sold at auction, where value is determined by the high bidder, and was backed by a Paid receipt. We know the PO will not pay more than the receipt value of an insured item, but here they are reneging from paying the receipt value. If I have to go to small claims court, I'll return and describe the experience.

USPS is literally the most unreliable courier service to ever be used in the history of mankind. Honestly 98% of the time I use them something goes wrong. I can almost guarantee that you could have counted more on the pony express. Total and utter garbage. It is to the point that I have been choosing to pay extra money to us UPS and FedEx because apparently whoever works there knows their ** from a whole in the ground. Please don't get me started on the harrowing experience of actually having to go into a post office. It's just a big brick building stuffed with people who don't care about their job or the service they provide. Rude and incompetent. Please close USPS. Close them forever. Fire everyone. Let the people who care about the business they are in handle the mail.

I sell on eBay. In the past month I have had 3 items delivered broken. All items were very well wrapped with bubble wrap, newspaper and wrapped in cardboard and packaged in a strong sturdy box. I also put a large 3x5 label on the box saying Fragile, Please handle with care, Thank you and write fragile, glass on the boxes, but still it arrives broken. I am not the only one this is happening to, I know several other people that this is happening to. The packages are leaving from the Lafayette, Louisiana post offices. I am tired of losing money because of the carelessness of the postal workers. Why don't ya'll start taking money out of their paychecks and let them see how it feels... You can file a claim all you want but they always find an excuse not to pay the claim. I am sick and tired of losing money because they don't care about other people's property.

If I could give zero stars I would! I have contacted Brooksville, FL USPS by email, by phone, every way possible and no one has gotten back to me on the issue I am having with their incompetent employees. The mail carrier for the past year continues to misplace my mail all throughout the neighborhood. I have complained I don't know how many times and it still continues. The last straw was when I got a $35 late payment fee because I never received the bill in the mail.
The negligence and carelessness of their employee assigned to deliver my mail has put my impeccable credit at stake and continues to do so, and I will not have it. Not to mention when they are on my road to deliver mail they are speeding about 15 miles over the speed limit (which is 30) on a dirt rocky road driving like a madman, it is ridiculous! All the while my mail is being put in everyone's mailbox but mine! This is the most disgraceful experience all the way around with Brooksville USPS. I have already warned them if this continues I will pursue the matter further. Something needs to be done soon.

This is nonsense and no one can help me when I call or go up there... they need to be held accountable... and furthermore where is my mail and why is it being held up!!!

They promised next day noon delivery and it never happened... to a city and state only 4 hours away... I'm not entrusting anything to the post office again.
