I sat at home all day, watching for the driver, waiting for a delivery, which never arrived. I have to keep an eye out for the delivery because, FedEx drivers refuse to walk up the 5 steps to my front door and drop the package off in the entryway. They just throw it onto the porch from the sidewalk. I was waiting on 2 pieces of electronic equipment that cost around $1,000. So I didn't want any porch pirates to walk away with it (I live in the city).
The tracking number says that the package will be delivered today, but after staring out the window all day to no avail, I finally gave up and called customer service. I was told that the package was not going to arrive today due to a delay, but it was NOT updated on my tracking, nor did I receive a text or email, even though I signed up for updates. The last time I received an update was at 9:45 pm yesterday. This wouldn't even be an issue, if their delivery drivers would just walk up the 5 steps and drop off the package in the breezeway, like UPS and USPS. FedEx is hands down the worst parcel delivery service available. How are they still a thing?

On November 6, 2018 I received notification from FedEx that a package was delivered to my home address. I was home at the time. No one knocked so I opened the door and no package was there. I contacted FedEx and explained that although their system says a package was delivered to me it was not. I was told they would contact the local FedEx and I would be contacted by them. I never was. Since November 6 I put in several complaints to no avail. Now I being told to contact the shipper. I explained to them that I was not expecting the package and I don't know who to contact. I sent an email to the business that sent the package but received no response. It is now November 28 and FedEx has the nerve to get an attitude with me because I want my package. Very disappointed.

I was sitting in my living room from 4:00 this morning forward, waiting for my package. At 10:20 I get a notice "Delivery attempted. Customer not available". I immediately called FedEx to complain. They told me that the driver would make another attempt today. An hour ago (5:00 PM), I get another message "Delivery attempted. Customer not available". This driver is, at best, a liar and a thief. I presume that at this busy time of the year, the drivers simply punch "Not available" from wherever they are just so they don't have to do their jobs. I sat at home all day long because of their screw up and their answer is "let's schedule it for a more convenient time". TODAY was a "more convenient time". I'm not taking another day off work to sit and wait for it. This is not, by any means, the first time this has happened.

FEDEX NEVER delivered my package and they lied about it. Their website to authorize signature verification or pick-up at a nearby FedEx station is worthless... maddening circular loop that brings you back to same empty screens, even talking to manager was of no help. They supposedly "verified delivery" by their "investigative" team who provided these extensive details "We delivered it to the right address" and could not elaborate beyond that.
Not only did I never receive my package but my neighbors had delivered Amazon packages sitting on their porch for days, so I do not buy someone stole my eBay box, with an item worth about $30.00. They said seller is responsible and they closed my case. Very irritating indifference and incompetence. I will NEVER use FEDEX if I can help it!

I ordered a 55 inch TV on sale from Walmart.com to donate to the VA Heroes' Crossing Hospice/Palliative Care Unit at the hospital here in Philadelphia. Walmart promised 2 day shipping... I get an email that my package has been delivered a day earlier than I was notified via email. I call FedEx to let them know that a package has not been delivered to my address, signed by an ** and to get additional tracking info. It was delivered to a Walmart, at an address that they were not willing to disclose - because I easily could have gone to the Walmart and pick out the package with my name and address on it. Ok, so it was found.
A Tiara called me to let me know that the package would be picked up and redelivered to my address. I took the Tuesday off of work to wait by the door for my package... 3:30 no package. I call FedEx to get tracking info... They tell me that they never found the package, that it isn't notated in my account that the conversation ever took place and in order for my package to be found, it will take up to 48 hours to locate. Did I tell you all that I have to deliver the donated TV to the hospice unit on Thursday, 11/29?? which means, that I won't have a TV to give?
Not only am I pissed off, now I have to face embarrassment on Thursday??? How is it that the address label clearly has my name and address on it but gets delivered to an undisclosed Walmart store that they won't give me information for?? For all I know, you have an illiterate driver that stole my merchandise!!! Way to go FedEx... Thanks for the embarrassment.

In 1936, Dale Carnegie published a book called "How To Win Friends and Influence People". Since its release, it has become one of the most widely read and loved nonfiction books of all time. It has been written in almost every language and has sold over 15 million copies worldwide. The book laid the groundwork for a more compassionate and people-driven way of solving problems. Anger never gets anyone anywhere. Help others to help yourself. Being mean doesn't get people to do things for you. In fact it does the opposite, further pushing them away from wanting to help you at all.
These were the groundbreaking tenets that came to be celebrated, widely agreed upon, and striven for as the new standard of how to treat one another. None of them work on FedEx Customer Support. Trying to get a refund seems deliberately designed to be so frustrating that people give up. It's as if the company org chart purposely separates the customer support and claims department to ensure neither team has any idea what the other is doing, despite both being vital to one another.
It wasn't until I'd finally had enough, six calls in, and said something to the effect of "What the hell is wrong with you people" did anything actually happen. The first five or so calls, I was sure to be patient and understanding, but I gradually became more stern and direct with hapless staff members. It seems that there is no process whatsoever for escalating and moving people's claims forward. There must be zero communication between team members because I was starting from square one each call despite how much progress I'd made during the last one. This wears thin when you're on hold for 10 minutes at a time, and the line that the switchboard redirects you to isn't the department you're told it is.
Last but not least, it turns out that photographs are required for a refund to be issued. The only problem is, I was not told that until they said my application had finally been processed. This entails getting a paper letter in the mail after 6-8 business days (because they don't do email, awesome guys), with a notice of whether your claim was accepted or denied. Except now it would be rejected because no one told me that photos were mandatory. All that waiting just to hear "sorry, denied" because I wasn't properly told what I'd need to provide in the first place. Had I been told two weeks earlier, I could've avoided that.
To an extent, I get it. I can’t imagine the customer support staff of FedEx is having a blast dealing with increasingly irate people like myself. I wouldn’t. I'm not normally the guy who takes the time to write negative reviews online. But recently, I've come to realize that a negative review may be the single most useful thing to actually get someone's attention. The number of negative reviews on this site, however, seems to hint otherwise unfortunately. In any event, here’s my two cents.

I want to preface this by saying in 2018, we have cars that drive themselves, yet FedEx can't seem to understand how terrible their service is. After ordering a $1500 monitor, I was only notified THE DAY BEFORE that it would require a signature. I actually work during the day, unlike the people at this company, so no one will be home. I had to call 4 separate numbers all telling me to call someone else, and at the end of being thrown around, I get an Indian guy who I can't understand, who tells me that in order to change my delivery address or date, I have to contact the company I bought it from! Are they making this up? I've never heard of such a convoluted system.
Their website is absolutely terrible and literally serves no purpose. It displays completely incorrect info about who is shipping and doesn't allow the user to do or change anything. They also have no public phone numbers to contact, so you have to speak to a robot or a dumber than a robot Indian person if you want to "attempt" to achieve anything.
I understand requiring a signature, I do, but FedEx needs to understand that I REFUSE to change my schedule on a dime, or take a day off sitting around twiddling my thumbs simply because they don't notify me that a package will or won't require a signature until THE DAY BEFORE. They won't let you change the address or delay the shipment, so you're stuck wondering what kind of hellish limbo your package worth hundreds or thousands of dollars will end up in.
I'm actually impressed with how poorly designed their system is and how difficult they make it to find out anything or get anything done about changing your package. It's impossible. I would rather go to China and work in a sweatshop making the product myself, then swim back home, than to have FedEx even touch my next order. Absolutely pathetic, and I will make a point today of spending as much time posting this review everywhere, as I did wasting my day on the phone getting absolutely nothing accomplished. My advice? Burn the entire company to the ground and don't start over, let the nice folks over at UPS do it right the first time.

I purchased two cell phones for my drivers from Simple Cellular on Nov 20, 2018. Three day shipping guarantee from FedEx expired Wednesday before Thanksgiving. No problem as it was on truck for delivery on Friday after Thanksgiving. My business is a two story yellow building with a yellow fence and is a half block long. No delivery between 8-6. Saturday the package shows it is out for delivery so I wait until 3 pm and then go online and message says delivery attempted at 10:32 a.m. but closed and no one to sign for package. I call FedEx and they tell me the driver doesn't have a cell phone but Austin in Tampa guarantees delivery so I wait until 8 p.m. with floodlights on and building glowing. No delivery. Call back to FedEx and they tell me the Tampa office is closed.
Monday morning I call FedEx and they tell me since my business name wasn't on the package they subbed it out and the sub doesn't deliver on Sunday or Monday so I may get it tomorrow. MAY GET IT TOMORROW! FedEx used to be the best. USPS kicks sand in their face and UPS is on a totally different level. Never again FedEx. Did you know that the name FedEx is from the Latin word that mean "slow moving deceitful LIARS"?

So I made a purchase on form an eBay retailer who on their page specified a guaranteed delivery of Friday November 23rd, shipped by FedEx. Friday November 23rd came and went and I did not receive my package. When I checked my packages tracking number this morning I found out that it is sitting in a delivery truck in St. Louis with an estimated delivery date of Thursday. I guess they expect me to go find the truck in St Louis and pick up the package. By the way whenever I have ordered something and had it shipped via UPS once it gets to St Louis I usually get it that day. So, no FedEx. You are not faster than UPS, you are about 5 days slower, and you cant follow up on a guarantee.

When FedEx lost a package in Austin I really didn't think that much about it. Accidents happen. I used FedEx for another delivery. The product was delivered damaged. The box was messed up. They did receive it. It arrived a day late. FedEx delivers my package. They leave it on the ground right beside my porch. In the mud in the wet on the ground! Oh it rained that day! Can they seriously not lift a package 12in to place it on a dry secure surface? I have had nothing but bad experiences with FedEx. I really prefer the guy that drives the brown truck!

I purchased 2 maternity dresses from Amazon. FedEx 2 day shipping. They were supposed to arrive the day before Thanksgiving which was good because one of their dresses I was going to wear for Thanksgiving. At almost 4:00 p.m. my stepdad who had ordered the dresses was notified that they had been delivered. I was actually sitting at home at that time. I checked both my front and my back door in my neighbor’s doors and texted some of my other neighbors to see if it had been delivered to them. It was nowhere.
So I called customer support who after making me wait for several hours calls me back and tells me the delivery guy says that he knows he delivered it to the right place so they weren't going to do anything more about it. And when I try to contest that and say that it was not there because the guy claimed there was not a package in the door but there was I was told I was wrong and my neighbors must have stolen them. But the package delivered at noon was still there. So they only stole the ones delivered by FedEx. I'm so upset at what happened but even more by how I was treated. If you get the choice use USPS or UPS! FedEx doesn’t care if the package is delivered to the right place. Just that it’s delivered.

FedEx seems to not care who gets the package as long as it gets delivered somewhere. In the last two weeks, before going on his trip, my father has received someone else's package 8 different days and they were for houses that were visibly marked from the street. This doesn't even include all the other times this has happened as it seems to happen often. He even chased the driver down and told him the package was wrongfully delivered and the guy said, "what do you want me to do about it?" He just left my dad with the packages and refused to take them back. Then I went to take care of his dogs while he was away on a trip and during my week at his house there was 3 boxes left on his front steps (over two days time) with no knock or doorbell ring as I was home with two hyper Pomeranians who did not bark once. I was forced to deliver the packages myself as they were right down the street a few houses over.
Once my dad learned this after getting back he contacted FedEx and left it on speaker phone. Took him 15 min to reach the correct support to help us after being on hold and when we told him the problem he was making sound as it was our fault the packages were being dropped off at the wrong place. Then he tried saying we should refuse it at the door but when we told him the guy isn't ringing or knocking the guy on the phone didn't care. And when we told him what the driver had said he didn't care. Then the guy told us that we just need to call to have the packages up which wouldn't be a problem if it wasn't happening so often and that it requires us to have the time to do it. As it's my father who is affected by this it's even harder as he's gone due to work and commuting for 12+ hrs a day when he's working. And my stepmother can be gone at any moment due to potential clients at her business as she's on call throughout the entire day.

I have but twice experienced FedEx. Both were big trouble. I ordered a 60k box sack of coffee from Jersey To Connecticut. I watched on the first day of the given delivery date a driver park outside the driveway, run up to the door and run away as I answer the door only to find a note on the door that said I wasn't home from FedEx. So the next day I waited for the expected return and FedEx driver did the same run up to the door, leave a note and run away to the truck and speed off.
It happened a third time and I followed the FedEx truck in my car but I couldn't keep up. Every day for about five days I'm calling and yelling for an hour and a half to FedEx folks over the phone. I'm dropping tons of F bombs for hours a day for about a week with FedEx folks and finally got my stuff about a week and a half after they said they'd delivered it.
The next experience is still happening, I've been daily hours on the phone F bombing away at FedEx folks and they keep telling me it was delivered at my garage about a week ago. I waited on the next day it was delivered and nothing happened. We thought about building a garage back in the 1950's but still haven't. FedEx still insists I have a garage and my package. I'm still trying to get my stuff and it's a week over the date it was delivered to at the garage we never had built.

In the past, I have seen my stuff thrown on the steps that were not near my door and I personally hate this company. They are the worst. I don’t even write reviews good or bad, but this experience is so frustrating. Companies shouldn’t even be partnered with them. I don’t trust them whatsoever. UPS is where it’s at people!! FedEx has been delivering to my address for 22 years. About 6 months ago I started having problems with packages being delivered on the delivery date. When I would track the package there would be a notation stating the driver could not deliver due to incorrect address or no apartment number. I have had this address for 22 years and it is not incorrect and it is not an apartment complex. I have to contact FedEx each time to resolve the issue and I am getting frustrated with them. They can Google map it, but I am not so sure they have anyone working that has any common sense.
I am going to be very upset if I have to quit shopping online because of them. I have already had to give birthday presents late and I am afraid the same might be true with Christmas presents. They need to hire some people who will do more to locate the address than just give up and make a ridiculous excuse for not delivering the package. I guess they are in the business of making people miserable. I don't know what more I can do.

Forced by vendor to take FedEx as a shipper. I have always hated FedEx. They are the reason for the 1 foot tall number 7 on my fence that they always deliver to a neighbor anyway. UPS delivers 95% without issue. FedEx delivers to wrong home 70% of the time and makes a point to be late, never early or on time. UPS is usually early. FedEx is the only delivery company that requires signatures, randomly I might add. They do not even provide their delivery hours of operation. So I've been waiting since 8am- now 3pm and it's been on the truck since 430am. I did not miss a knock. I have a keen German Shepherd that barks at noises he thinks are knocks. So 430am until 3pm. No updates. We have things to do and 2 kids so let me waste an entire Saturday waiting and until when exactly? When do deliveries stop and I can cancel this order so I'm not a prisoner In my own home.
Furthermore supposedly you can annoyingly sign up with FedEx then sign in for "delivery management". I tried that so I don't need to be home and I am totally serious and I'm using much more vulgar words in my head. They are shipping an internet based code over the actual USPS mail. Swear to god it said to allow my code to arrive within 3-5 business days. You know those codes that every other website on the planet sends to your email, the same email that was required by FedEx to request the code... You can't make that up people. You can't do it. No one could fathom such stupidity. By the way this package is already a day late. This was the first FedEx I had in about 2 years and I thought must be better. Nope. From now on I deal with no vendor that deals with FedEx.

Three days later when the packages arrive the boxes look like they’ve been in shipping for months all beat up broken, sides all torn apart. They look like they keep the boxes down a flight of stairs several times. They were sitting on the porch and it look like it was a pile of garbage. The stop that was inside of the boxes was basically leaking out the boxes.
On top of that FedEx wasn’t even the one that delivered and it was a Budget truck! They do not care about the customers because I would’ve said more pride in taking care of the boxes. I understand the box get beat up a little bit here and there but these boxes were not even together. Every box was opened the table. Sides had holes in them or was ripped. I called them on Friday to have the delivery stopped so that I could pick up the sofa and was given a confirmation number to pick up the item at the warehouse in Livonia, MI. I get to the warehouse today and was told that the sofa was on a truck going to an office that is closed in Canton, Mi and the manager has no way to call the driver to see what time he would return.
I call the 800 number and they tell me that there was miscommunication with them and the warehouse and I can't get the sofa until Monday. I have made several arrangements to get this item and Monday will not work. I work two jobs and no one will be available to accept the delivery. The manager at the warehouse said she had to go to a meeting of course so she could not see how to get ahold of the driver. I find it ridiculous that a company is unable to contact an employee. I am very dissatisfied with this ordeal and will have to cancel this order. I find it ridiculous that a massive company like FedEx does not have means to reach their drivers and can't read a note that states customer will be coming to pick up the shipment. My name is Raj and I am a student. This review is regarding my package delivery. When I tracked my package, I saw that it had arrived San Jose before 10 AM PST but, still not delivered to me. The comments read they tried delivering but, the customer was not available which is wrong since I was at home the entire day. So, I sent out emails/tickets to ask for my package to be delivered as soon as possible since it had all perishable food items shipped by my parents from India. I even mentioned in the complaint that I am not asking for any compensation or any refunds. The only thing that I am requesting is my package or else all the food items will be damaged. I sent out two more requests but, haven't received any response. (Ticket /incident numbers are: ** and **, third Email Reference Number: **).
So, after losing my patience I called the customer care number: 1800-463-3339 at around 5:37 PM PST. A lady picks up the call and I tell her my issue. She tells me that, "You can come and pick up the package from the nearby facility." I told her that I am a student and don't have a car and the package weighs more than 60 lbs so, please redeliver. She then tells me that, "We tried delivering but, since the delivery boy didn't have the gate code, he returned." My parents have send me food items before in the past via FedEx and it has been delivered every time because they do have the gate code. I told her that my leasing office has separate gate codes for all delivery services like FedEx, DHL, Amazon etc. She tells me that delivery boy who knows the code is not here. But, how is that my mistake? Why do you guys keep giving lame excuses!
I was ready to come down to pick up my package but, she tells me, "We don't allow them personal cell phones." I told her what about emailing me from a company group email address. She says, "We don't have one." She tells me, "We deliver only once so, we won't do it." I had to go to my class and so, I got frustrated and told her to transfer the call to her manager or boss. She transfers the call and the next person assures me that she will talk to San Jose facility center and get it redelivered. I also gave her the gate code that I use.
Soon after I get a call from Milpitas office: ** at around 6:30 PM PST. I get out of my class midway to attend the call as I knew it would be regarding my package. Another lady tells me that, "We cannot redeliver." She tells me, "We will deliver tomorrow." I tell her that how can you be so unprofessional to which she replies that, "I am doing a favor to you." She starts talking rudely to me. According to her, FedEx is doing a favor for me. I asked her to at least try and redeliver tomorrow morning. But, she tells me that we need to put some request and it depends upon when that request gets approved and all. Meanwhile, I also sent out few emails to the FedEx CEO.
I wait till next day afternoon and still don't get it. I again call customer care and she tells me she couldn't get in touch with anyone at the facility and she has put a request to redeliver. So, I again send an email to FedEx CEO explaining the situation and the executive specialist to the CEO calls me on 11/15/18 2:12 PM PST saying that all she can do is get it redelivered it tomorrow since they do not have any truck drivers in the afternoon. This is strange for such a big company. She talked to the manager at the facility and called me back that she will try to redeliver it by tomorrow which means it is already 6 days past since it was delivered from India. So, basically I just have an option to leave early from my internship workplace and go there in an Uber or Lyft and get the package. Waste of money and time which I don't think they will compensate. And even after that half of the refrigerate food items would be damaged.
I don't think I am going to refer FedEx to any students here whose parents send them food items especially during festival season and to find it damaged because of late deliveries and giving. All I wanted was my package to be delivered asap. Our food, money and time have been wasted just because of sheer unprofessional and bad attitude of FedEx employees. I am sorry to say this but, I have never seen worst customer treatment like this before by any company or organization. I don't want any student like me who is eagerly waiting for his food package from foreign country to go through the same. Hopefully, some action is taken against those employees. Just writing this so others can be aware of this before using FedEx delivery service.

He throws the box on porch and runs to truck. When he threw box he darn near hit me. I was standing right next to him, why not hand it to me. Why did he throw the box? This is rude. Then I watched him do his next delivery. No wonder things are stolen. These people NEVER knock on doors. Just get out of truck and throw them boxes at porch.

I have been a long-standing customer of FedEx. The years have not been great and today was the worst experience I ever had. I am shipping 50 cakes out for my clients to thank them for the year and to arrive before Thanksgiving. I placed an order for 50 boxed 1 weeks ago. Today, I got a call from their supplies department that they cannot fulfill it because those boxed are for flat rate shipping only that they are on an embargo and are not shipping supplies from the until the end of the month. Never mind that I called in the order with an urgent note on it. FedEx decided to call to tell me this 4 days later and offered zero sympathies and never mind solutions.
FedEx, I truly hope someday you realize that your success only depends on how well you treat your clients. I've had many issues with you and your teams and your lack of empathy, understanding of the client, and honoring the fact that they chose your company to help them realize their companies dreams should not be treated so poorly. I am truly disappointed and would NEVER recommend you for anything! You truly do not care about your own employees (as you do not care to train them in customer care) nor do you obviously care about the people who helped you become who you are today.

As a business we have been a loyal FedEx customer for 8 years till we ran into a delay of invoice payments. After explaining the situation to FedEx in detail we were surprised by their diffident attitude to the issues discussed and found that some junior employee - who does not even know us or our business history sitting in front of a computer was able to freeze our account and all pending invoices were sent to our suppliers for payment. The Sales people in FedEx who we deal with were helpless and impotent in this issue.
The shocker was that many invoices which had been paid by us were not recognized in the FedEx system and those shippers were sent notices to pay for those shipments. We have now realized that no one in FedEx knows what is happening - no one is control or accountable. Their departments work on their own without any cohesion or responsibility. They were good but highly avoidable now! You trust the Sales personnel you deal with - but then you realize that they are powerless and ill informed when put against the inefficient FedEx CFS.

Since opening an online store in 2010, I've always given customers the option of FedEx or USPS. I was surprised to see all the negative reviews for FedEx after my positive experiences with them. I recently had to file my first insurance claim. After reading a lot of reviews, I was concerned that they might not honor it. Even though I purchased insurance and had packed well, it arrived damaged. I started a claim online about a month ago. And today I received a check for the insured amount. I did provide pictures of the item before and after. And pictures of the packaging materials used and the box it was shipped in. I completed all necessary information online to process the claim. I have been pleased and continue to be pleased with FedEx Services. And, was glad the insurance claim was closed to my satisfaction. I thought I was going to have to fight it after reading all the negative reviews but I didn't.

Complaints abound about FedEx's dismal service and lack of accountability and in my experience, deservedly so. I've lost hundreds of dollars because of shipments and wasted hours tracking down packages delivered to someone else in my neighborhood. I've filed claims that a representative candidly told me, "It's not going to amount to anything." However now when I order online I ask my vendor what shipping company they use. If they say FedEx I simply say, "Oh, sorry. I'll have to find another vendor." I know it's a little extra work but if all the unhappy consumers did this the slow erosion of revenue would inevitably come to the attention of FedEx's accounting department. Meaningful loss of revenue is what fuels corporate change. Also, it takes some pursuing, but Amazon will drop FedEx as a delivery method on your account.

I shipped a package from Mexico to the US. The package was fragile and clearly marked fragile in both English and Spanish on all sides of the box. The package arrived in the US two days later but then stayed in Tennessee for several weeks (despite being told when I paid for shipping that it would arrive within 10 days), arriving completely destroyed! While the contents were not very valuable, it was an object that held very sentimental value for me and cost over $200 to ship. I filed a claim that day after opening it. After receiving a computer generated response, informing me that I would have a written resolution in 5-7 days, I waited. When I didn't receive the written response, I emailed FedEx again to inquire on the status of the claim. Same type of computer generated response.
After over one month of filing the claim, I called to talk to a live person. I was told that I would have to contact the FedEx store in Mexico and have them file a claim. I was also told that even though the store said "FedEx," the employees there wore FedEx shirts, and the package was shipped FedEx, there was nothing FedEx could do because the individuals are not actually FedEx employees and if I wanted to file a claim I would have to do so from that location! Now I'm not sure if I was supposed to be informed of this when I shipped the package- but there was a language barrier - but I am confused how an individual shipping internationally goes back to the location to file a claim or even contacts the location?
I recommend that FedEx have warnings regarding international shipping, clearly identifying that there is a lack of support if contents are damaged. I am out over $200 in shipping charges, which FedEx would not refund and the money I paid for the contents. Had I known there was this risk of damage and nonsupport, I would not have shipped with FedEx.

We were assured that it would be delivered to him on 5th or 6th Nov. Only because of this assurance did we go ahead with the despatch as the sweets would not last beyond a few days. Every single day from 5th Nov onwards we have been following up with FedEx for our parcel. We were told each time that it would be delivered 'tomorrow'. Finally we were told by FedEx that the parcel was delivered to him on 08/11/2018 which was a lie since my son has till date not received the parcel. On 9th Nov someone called him to say that the parcel will be delivered at 11.00 am, then at 12 noon, then at 4.00 pm then 6.00 pm then 7.00 pm.
How and why when the parcel was supposedly delivered on 8th Nov? Today is 10 Nov and he is still waiting for the parcel. This is the case of pure cheating and breach of trust on the part of FedEx. It was either delivered to the wrong person or FedEx personnel manipulated the documents to come clean. We have been contacting FedEx toll-free number from 06/ 11 / 2018 onwards everyday at least 3 to 4 times a day and your call center guys kept disconnecting the phone after listening to us. This was least expected from FedEx being a Fortune 500 US company. Now we have no one to contact or follow up with. Please do not continue in the customer service sector since you are just not capable of it in the least.
In the meantime I demand a refund of Rs. 1500 as the value of our sweets and the courier charges as the entire purpose of sending a courier for Diwali was defeated. If there was no guarantee of the timeframe then we could have been told. Before we came to FedEx we approached other couriers who very clearly told us that they could not give us any guarantee as to when the parcel would reach Vellore. But FedEx was so confident that it would reach in 3 days time and being such a well-known brand. We made the mistake of trusting and believing FedEx. Please note that we await our refund else we will proceed legally against FedEx.

The level of incompetence at this company is mindblowing. I've had stuuupid issues countless times in the past but this one takes the cake. Package delivery was canceled with the reason being "Unable to deliver/ Business closed." for a 24/7 Duane Reade drop-off point. Upon calling, the center said that the label was actually entered wrong and did not indicate the overnight shipping I elected. Yet it somehow made it from Indiana to Maspeth, 10 minutes from the address overnight. I could have ridden my bike to the shipping facility. So really, it was never attempted --the package never made it onto the truck. I waited until 11:30 am because the tracking said it would arrive by 10:30 am. No updates until 11:30 am telling me I had an issue. So a whole morning pointlessly wasted. Then they falsely time stamped the 11:30 update for 9:26 am.
They informed me the package would be placed on the afternoon courier and still arrive that day. Still no updates to my tracking page. Had to call 4 times to make sure they were actually delivering it. They said they would call me with updates. No calls the whole day. I never received the package. A final call at 8pm explained that they sorted it incorrectly and sent the package that was located 10 minutes from my apartment to a different shipping center in another city. So I was given a 3rd, and completely different explanation for the issue.
The shipping center claimed in the notes that they tried to call me at 12:30pm to tell me all this but I received no call attempts, no voicemail, and no email. The tracking page is still not updated as I write this. I called at 5:45pm to check on the delivery, and it was still "scheduled for evening delivery" even though the supposed phone call to explain it was not arriving that day was claimed to have been made over 3 hours prior to that. Why it was not reflected in the support notes for the next representative to relay to me I will never understand. It could have saved me a Friday night of waiting around for a package that was never going to come.
All of their explanations were anything but what actually happened. It's one thing to botch a delivery (repeatedly), but it's another transgression entirely to deliberately deceive a recipient that is needlessly waiting all day for an important package and require a full-on interrogation before owning up to a mistake. Sadly, not only am I having to avoid FedEx for personal shipments, but I now have to stop buying things from businesses that contract with them. How could I support such a reckless and chaotic company? You're supposed to be masters of logistics, but you exhibit the organizational capacity of a 4-year-old with ADHD.

They still got it wrong. This package is extremely important as it held my husbands Air Force blues that we needed for a wedding. We paid $50 for two day shipping too. So, they got the address wrong and we didn’t even notice until the day after it was shipped out so we called the FedEx grounds and they fixed the address for us. Easy right? Wrong. So, the next day my husband and I stayed home all day long waiting for this package to arrive. Mind you, we have all four of our vehicles parked in the driveway, so what made y’all think we weren’t home??
Nobody bothered to knock or anything. They just put the note on the door and walked away. So we call FedEx again between 3-3:30 and they said “no problem. We’ll send out another truck.” (Mind you, we need this package tonight or at the very latest extremely early Friday morning 11/9). The wedding is Friday so we’re pushing time as it is. It’s past 8 pm and still no package. We call FedEx yet again and they say they can’t help us because the store is closed. I ordered a large package, one that would be too large to lose (80 lbs). They said it was delivered, but I work from home and I have 2 really yappy dogs and heard nothing! Not the guy delivering it or someone who would have 'tried to take it'. Two days later (hoping it would be here if we gave them more time) my partner went and asked our normal FedEx delivery person about what could have happened, and bless her soul cause she was straight up honest. "They may not have wanted to carry it up the stairs and could have brought it back to the FedEx warehouse."
I opened a case that afternoon. Woman taking over the case was really sweet and promised to do their best to find it. Following Monday, the other delivery person knocked on my door and said he did bring it to my door. I told him I was home all day and my dogs would have barked just like they were doing as I was talking to him outside. I asked if maybe he took it to the wrong door, he said no. It was an absolutely pointless conversation. I'm not trying to get him to lose his job, I'm just trying to figure out where it went. He added "We don't bring anything back to the warehouse" PFFT.
Called about my case and their rep told me to "Talk to your shipper" before very quickly ending my call. I'm not a rude person, you get better service when you're nice... But I might have to ask my cranky old grandfather to take care of this Baby Boomer style. I've since reorder the desk and requested they not use FedEx to ship it. I've also purchased an outdoor camera if they decided they have to use FedEx.

I order a lot of musical instruments/equipment, and I dread every time I see that they are shipped via FedEx. The worst of this: An electric bass arrived in a damaged box with a giant hole in it. When I opened it, I saw that it had a cracked neck. The package was supposed to require a signature, but it was simply left on the front door. Two days later than it was scheduled. Outside of that, I've had about 10 packages in the past two months. Literally none of them have arrived on time - Not a SINGLE package. Multiple times, I've seen a delivery exception for business closed / customer not home, or whatever the exact wording is, when I have most definitely been home.
I work from home, with a window looking out to the front door. There are also cameras on my property. I can say DEFINITIVELY that no FedEx truck even drove by when they claimed that nobody was home. One time, I saw the text come in for delivery exception, and literally saw the truck driving down the street as I looked out my window- again, adjacent to the front door. There was door tag left. I checked the camera footage, and they stopped briefly in front of my house, didn't even get out, and then pulled away without doing anything. Ridiculous.
When I've called, I've had to spend a lot of time working through menus, disconnections, and transfers, and not a single time have I had any better resolution than "we are sorry that you are unhappy with this." I've never had satisfactory resolution from calling them, I've only been able to get relief from good vendors or my credit card company. The scheduled delivery is NEVER accurate. I'm looking at one that is listed as scheduled delivery for today, and of course when I dig down into it, it's actually a state away and it's arriving tomorrow.
I'm honestly left wondering how on earth they actually retain any business whatsoever at this point. From my experience, they have often been more expensive than the competition for the time they claim that they will deliver something, which they have literally never met in the past year... Not a single time. I've never had any issues like this with any other delivery company - even the Amazon couriers here that show up in unmarked cars (the one that's not even the white vans) has been consistently decent. I'm not really sure when FedEx got so bad, but this isn't just one single event... This has been a strong and very consistent pattern of failure. The one thing that FedEx has done well is establish that I never want to do business with them or even talk to them unless there is literally no other option.

This week again, a package was not delivered to me even though FedEx declared it delivered at 11:34 am. They stated it was left on my front porch which is impossible as there is no access to my front porch, packages get left on my back porch which is where my driveway goes directly to. I was also home at that time and in fact sitting on my front porch.
I drove around to all possible places it might have been delivered with no luck. I do live in the country but I have received multiple deliveries over the years from USPS and UPS and yes FedEx but only FedEx screws up deliveries. I contacted FedEx immediately, they generated a trace and I was told I’d be called back. They never even bothered to call me back. So I called them and was told I’d have to contact the sender (the vendor from which I ordered) and have them file a claim with FedEx. In the meantime I’m out $70 and my yarn I needed for a Christmas gift is not here. I will have to buy it elsewhere, not sure if I can find it at a store as it is expensive special brand yarn. INSIST they call dispatch & INSIST you want your package. Don't hang up until they talk to dispatch and promise to deliver.
Second time this has happened. They promised delivery of my iPhone by 8 pm. Got next day because I am leaving on a trip. Took the day off and waited all day. Finally I called FEDEX at 7 pm and asked about my package (because of other bad experience which I will recount later in this review). The first person I spoke to said there was nothing they could do - the package might or might not get delivered - driver would STOP delivering at 8 PM. They claimed the only info they had was the same as me - that it was put on the truck. Asked for supervisor.
They called delivery facility - which closes at 7 pm though deliveries are until 8 pm - so no answer. Then they called dispatch - which did not answer. Again - they said driver would STOP delivering at 8 PM. Asked for next level supervisor. He claimed driver WOULD deliver package (even though it is past 8 pm). Now it's 9:30 PM - called them back - they have no idea where package is - but say it will not deliver tonight. Not sure where it is or when I will get it. Neither are they, evidently. App still says delivery today by 8 PM - hope they have a time machine!
I had a next day package I needed for a trip previously. Waited all day - sitting in office 20 feet from door. Finally they SAY they tried to deliver - though if they did they never bothered to ring the doorbell. I was ALWAYS less than 20 feet from door. Since it was a Friday, they claimed the camera was locked up in their facility for the weekend, and I could not even pick it up - earliest delivery was Monday, after I would have left. Had to cancel camera order & buy last day before trip for more money - thanks FEDEX!!! DON'T use them if you really need it!

When I checked the tracking it said I was not home, even though I had been here the whole day waiting.
Thursday no delivery. Checked tracking and again it said no one was home. I called FedEx and person was very nice and took notes and gave me a case number. Later that day I was outside and found a door tag in the gate to the side yard, far from either my front or back door. I called FedEx again to tell them about the tag, although I don't know if it was left that day or the day before. A little while later a lady from FedEx called me and said she was my tracking manager, and assured me that they would get it straightened out.
Friday, again no delivery and no tag. At noon I saw a FedEx truck go down the street but it didn't stop. Called FedEx again and this time I was bumped up to talk to a manager, who called the local FedEx while I was on hold. She said that FedEx would deliver the next day and would call to give me an idea of what time of day to look for them.
Saturday, no call, no delivery, no tag. Called FedEx and asked to be escalated. Talked to a manager who finally admitted that customer service could do nothing, that it was all in the hands of the local facility manager. He also told me that the day before, Friday, the package never went out for delivery, that it stayed in the facility the whole day while I was stuck in my house waiting for it. So that's where it stands. For some reason the driver won't deliver and no one at FedEx seems to have the authority to make the driver or the local manager perform their jobs. I called an hour and a half later (1:30 pm) and they still couldn’t find it. So at 3 pm I headed down there. I arrived at 3:45 pm to find out it’s on a truck to be delivered, which I received an email at 3:24 pm saying it was on the truck.
No one called me. The gal at the counter said she’d contact the driver. I doubt she did. I hurried home because she assured me she will get ahold of the driver. I got home at 4:25 pm to get an email at 4:22 pm stating they tried to deliver at 4:07 pm. Tracking shows business is closed or customer not home. What a crock. BTW no call tag on the door. I didn’t even know they were there. Very shady business. Called and tried to speak to people and they said they do not have any way of communicating with the drivers. UPS had a truck turned around inside of 15 minutes to deliver my package. The delivery now says Tuesday 10/23. What the hell happened to Monday??? I’ve gotten the feeling all day that they just don’t care. They have their money. FedEx got what they wanted.

I am now going through my 3rd “lost package” with FedEx in as many years. 2 times the package was in transit and never got delivered. When you call, customer service promises to investigate and contact you back. They don’t. You have to chase the company you purchased from for a refund. Another time, my package was “delivered” at my front door. Yeah, right. Again, nothing was done, no explanation offered and I had to get a refund from the company I ordered from. I am a huge online shopper. I would say 95% of the packages are delivered UPS or USPS. I do not have any problems and receive my packages. Amazon deliveries are also always very reliable. If I was able to know ahead of time that my order would be shipping FedEx, I would pass and not order saving myself the headache. Why are they not accountable for this? There is obviously a problem here.

I recently sold a cell phone on eBay and made the grievous error of shipping through FedEx. I arranged shipping through eBay, recorded the box measurements and the weight, proceeded to drop it in the dropbox for FedEx pick up. Shipping was $8.88, which I paid. A few days later I received a charge from eBay for an additional $76.80 for shipping, which they took right from my account. FedEx has picked up my package from the dropbox and recorded it as 71 pound freight (!!!) and proceeded to charge more than $75 additional shipping. While eBay filed a claim on my behalf, they would not fight it. FedEx refused to acknowledge this mistake and refused to refund. Repulsive! It’s blatant stealing.

FedEx is the worst of all the shipping companies. I have never had problems with my packages delivered by USPS and UPS. But man! There are quite a bunch of lazy people and thieves working for FedEx it seems. They always say the package is delivered but it is not. I have had almost 3 such incidences in past two weeks. I was home when they supposedly “delivered”. No one rang the doorbell nor they left a note. It’s extremely frustrating. I ordered some parts that were supposed to be delivered on Friday the 12th of October. I set the parts to come to my work because I would be there and generally items arrive earlier. EVERY single time that something has been shipped by Fedex to my home there has been an issue. Another reason I choose to use my work, for the just in case it gets shipped by Fedex. On the items I put shipped to business and the business name to make sure they knew it wasn't a residential home. The item updated Friday saying it was going to be here Saturday. Awesome, being we don't work Saturday. I was hoping they would leave the package outside and I would run up to work and get it. This didn't happen but wasn't a big deal.
My tracking information updated and said next available business day but showed Tuesday. Again, not that big of a deal because I know Fedex ground considers next business day Tuesday through Saturday. Now, today they show attempted delivery was made and that the business was closed. Clearly a bold face lie in that in the front office of my business someone is at the front desk during business hours. No exceptions. This is not to mention I work in the back office and have been here since 0630 as well as over 200 other employees.
So, I call of course to see where my package and why it wasn't delivered. Gives me vague responses and ask if we took lunch. The guy of course doesn't really acknowledge what I am saying but ask if I want it to be brought to a pick up area. I say "of course that way I can at least get the package today 4 days after I should have." He makes the change and then hangs up. This is 1238. I wait to see something update on my tracking, when finally it does saying that the package wouldn't be delivered to the pickup location of the customer service rep recommended place until tomorrow. Truly I do not understand why Fedex or other customers continue to put up with these types of employees.

In one case, I ended up going to the depot to pick it up, as these people don't seem able to deliver a package correctly just 21 miles from my home. They have ONE JOB - get something from point A to point B and that seems to be beyond their capabilities. I have just had the most astonishingly terrible customer service at FedEx. I could not even believe at the time, or I should say at EACH time, that this was FedEx. I could not believe that the company operated like this on the backside. When a company's Customer Service department has to transfer you to a Customer Advocate department, you know there's a problem. A company that has the need for both.
I placed an online order, and FedEx was sending it to the wrong address. I called them immediately to correct the address, but the fellow did not properly do so. Called the next day and was told the fellow I now spoke to was correcting the address. He said the person the day before did nothing. The next day my package was delivered to the wrong address. This started a stream of more calls throughout departments at FedEx including Trace, and this company seems to have no accountability, caring for how their customers are treated or the misinformation the incompetence exhibited by the company's staff.
After being told my package had been picked up from the wrong address but that the driver did not know what to do with the package because there were two addresses on it (one which was supposed to be the address to which it was supposed to be correctly sent to), that same station manager told me in the next breath that when the driver went back to pick-up the package from the wrong address, it was gone (ie that it had been taken). Just terrible service across the board, and I do not recommend these people at all!
I asked to speak with a manager. Evidently managers aren't available to speak with at FedEx; the customer service representatives will transfer you to the Customer Advocate department, but they will not give you any identifying information (so no accountability). Alexis in the Customer Advocacy promised me she would call me within 20 minutes so that she could research my situation. She never did. Others Jonathan (in CUURC), Joy in Fort Myers (did not return call - **), Brandon in Fort Myers (totally conflicting information given **) "Manager" Rebecca id or extension ** on 10/1, Dan **. Total incompetence, lack of caring, no follow-through across the board at this company.
Wenchill or something (girl who answered telephone in the Fairfield, CA office - put me on hold for over 20 minutes while she was getting the "manager for me"). She never came back on the line so I had to hang-up and call back. The fellow I then spoke with told me her name and seemed aware that she had left me on hold for that duration of time, but he didn't seem to care. I can't find my note with his name now, but he told me he was a "manager" there - Adam or something. Awful awful awful.
