Fed Ex is one of the most dependable companies there is. They work hard to deliver packages in a timely manner and it's rare that a package arrives damaged. The drivers are polite and courteous. I prefer to only use Fed Ex if possible!

Fed Ex needs to look at their inefficient routes. I can watch my items pass through distribution centers, going from the Southside of Wisconsin all the way to the northside of Wisconsin and then back. Typically takes 3 times longer for delivery than UPS.

We live in the mountains, with much snow at times, even so, not once has our packages been late. The drivers are always smiling, packages are always undamaged. We are 100% + satisfied with all that FedEx does for us. Until approx 2 years ago, our address up here wasn't know & FedEx was somewhat confused as to where packages were to be delivered. They sent someone to make sure our address was correct & our names. They never missed a package from then on. I wish that UPS would follow in their footsteps. We still don't receive packages from UPS as ordered. A BIG THANK YOU, TO FEDEX.

Absolutely horrific service. This is the second time that on the day of delivery I get notification that not only will my package not be delivered on that day, but that actual delivery date is unavailable!!! At the moment, The FedEx app shows my package will deliver today, while the virtual assistant says it will deliver tomorrow. Save yourself the headaches and use UPS. Never had such issues with UPS.

My building doesn't allow deliveries to be left in the lobby, they must be taken to the addressee's apartment. There is a large notice at the building entrance noting this. UPS, AMAZON, USPS almost always follow the rules. FedEx usually doesn't: even though their delivery confirmation may state LEFT AT APARTMENT, packages are left in the lobby. One left there for me disappeared, it is not a very secure lobby. Perishable deliveries packed in ice in foam containers are left in the lobby, where they might remain for days.

We have filed formal complaints with FedEx, which has the local dispatcher phone and say it won't happen again; in fact, my address (perhaps the entire building) is noted in their database to leave packages at apartments, so drivers know it. For a while after the phone call deliveries are not left in the lobby, but it doesn't last long. I avoid merchants who use FedEx, and have informed my regular sellers to use UPS for shipments to me. The sheer number of complaints against FedEx on the internet is astonishing, leading to the conclusion that FedEx doesn't care.

FedEx's downfalls are their user-unfriendly website and their customer service. It's a crap shoot when you call them for help if you will get a competent CSR or not. Generally, if I can tell within a few sentences if a CSR doesn't know what they are doing, I will hang up and call back to speak with a different one. Sometimes it takes two or three calls.

We have 2 doors into our home, both coming from the main driveway, the sidewalk splits 2 ways, one to the back (side) door and one to the front. The back entry does not have any protection from the weather and is easily seen from the driveway, there is no covering or awning to protect the packages that are also visible to a passerby. The front door has a large covered but open front porch, it is protected from the weather and packages are not easily visible, it is by far the best place to leave our deliveries. The only thing that is a bit more difficult is there are 2 steps up to that porch, maybe driver is too lazy to climb 2 steps.

After many times that the FedEx driver left things on the open sidewalk in front of the door, I called and requested that there be instructions left to leave things in the front. I know that they added that information to our address because I called (repeatedly) and asked if there were instructions. We either have a delivery driver that does not check for directions or just plain does not care, it makes no sense to me why I should have had to call a minimum of 7 times since November to complain about this. I plan to request a different delivery company whenever possible. 2 times since January 31, we have had deliveries at the back door again... I wonder how this person ever passed a driver's test because reading and following directions is not happening for them!!

I used the app, went to the store, called the reps, and they refused to tell me when the next delivery time was, couldn't schedule a time for me, couldn't leave the package at a fedex location for me to pickup and said the package would be sent back if I they tried to deliver again and couldn't get signature. So I cleared my schedule and waited at home the entire next day that the delivery was scheduled to be dropped off and they never showed up, just pushed it to the next day when I was unavailable. I had a very horrible experience with this company. I moved some personal things from the Midwest to Las Vegas, however, my experience with FedEx reveals that the company does not have the customer at the heart of its business. If they did or do, their staff would not behave the way they did. Day 1: Delivery guys left a door tag because I was not around (simple reason: I work full-time) and I spoke to the company I moved my personal stuff to contact FedEx to drop the items at the apartment office which has the same address as my apartment and about 30 seconds walk from my apartment.

Day 2: I came back shocked to see another door tag. FedEx refused to drop the item at the apartment office. I spoke to the company I used again and this time they got it written in several mails and confirmed with a reference number as confirmation. In addition, I had to sign at the back of the previous 2 door tags and pasted on my door for them to leave the items at the door if they refuse to leave the items at the apartment office thereby personally taking the risk of stealing and loss of the package.

Day 3: FedEx refused to drop the item at the Apartment office again, rather I was shocked to see a third door tag, this time it was crossed at the back giving me no option to sign and they also took away the second door tag. Not the least, I was infuriated. After a heated phone conversation, I told them I was coming over to their facility at Henderson to pick my items using Uber, however, the manager collected my phone number and passed on to FedEx Ground and said they will call me and this was already some minutes past 7 pm (they close at 8 pm).

From reading comments here, I did not need a seer or a prophet to tell me to just jump on the nearest available taxi to FedEx Ground facility. Just as I expected, the call never came. I went to the facility and picked up my items. My observation at the facility also confirmed serious and grave lapses in customer services. As somebody working in a service organization, I mean FedEx obviously has SERIOUS issues with customer service or perhaps I have been spoiled by Amazon superior and customer-eccentric service.

I am not a seer, neither am I a prophet but a data-crunching guy. From what I read here, it appears this problem is serious and I do not know the extent to which this reflects the ethos and business culture of the organization. Failure in customer service like this gets trickled down like drops of rain and over time it gathers and becomes some clouds and over and over again, they form rain and... it takes failures in customer service to mildly affect year-end corporate results, but over time the compounding effect can threaten the life of an organization. As for me, NEVER in my life will I ever use FedEx for any reason except I don't have a choice to pick the courier company. Perhaps, Amazon may soon disrupt the logistics business model and we may not hear of FedEx again and the customer will be the ultimate winner in the end after all.

Then I got one tire from FedEx that was left in my driveway, thank God I was home when that was delivered. This was after I had put delivery instructions on their website. Then the Company shipped another 3 tires, unfortunately through FedEx again because they have a contract with them and cannot do anything until their contract runs out. So again, I provided delivery instructions and instead of FedEx reading the instructions as asked for, instead of putting them in the garage or at least at the side door to the garage in order to screen them from the road and avoid having them stolen, they put them on the Front Porch next to the door so everyone can see them, including the hoodlums in the neighborhood. I don't understand why they didn't leave a sign "Free Tires, take them."

So I called FedEx customer service (that was another waste of time like the delivery instructions), told them what had happened and I get "Sorry, if they are stolen, let us know and we will investigate". Sure, I'll be without the tires and without my money. FedEx is a joke when it comes to delivery, they don't care whether the customer gets their goods or not, they get paid either way for nothing. I sent a little 1 lb box for overnight delivery on Dec 26, 2019 for deliver before 10am on Dec 27. The package was eventually delivered on Dec 30. There was no apology at all. Indeed, I never heard from FedEx until I called to complain. Then the company said it could give a refund on the COST OF THE DELIVERY SERVICE. So, FedEx refunded the entire cost of $63 which is the best that they can do. But, FedEx is a great disappointment since it no longer is the delivery company “when it absolutely, positively has to be there overnight”. It is now just an overpriced, unreliable delivery company. IMHO, it is better to use UPS which makes no pretense about delivery schedules!

Updated on 01/16/2020: After my fiasco with FedEx on 1/13 and 1/14, I am greeted with an email that says there was an "exception" to delivery on 1/14: "Customer not available or business closed." I understand they must put something in their box, but how did they know whether or not we were available? We were available and we are not a business and FedEx does not have a reputation for accuracy. So you know, I know the problem starts at the privacy gate to our house. FedEx will not allow their drivers to enter through a privacy gate, so how are they to know if I am home or not? FedEx lied.

And besides, this is FedEx Ground and they do not need a signature. They have told me that they will not enter through the privacy gate, that they will leave all packages outside the privacy gate, and that they would not contact me for FedEx Ground. Why is 1/14 any different than what we have been told. FedEx, what are your policies and why are you having such an issue? Enlighten me with more than "customer not available."

So after the exception, I receive an email saying FedEx would re-deliver on 1/15. I check the status of the package throughout the day, but no updates and no delivery. At 2 PM, my wife takes her book and sits at the gate to wait for FedEx to deliver. Finally at 5:55 PM (yes, about 4 hours later) she comes back down the drive, we check the status, then call the customer agent at 5:58 PM. Upon getting an agent, she calls the "station" and reports that they would not deliver the package on 1/15. HOW LONG DID THEY KNOW? Can FedEx not update the delivery status??

My dealings with FedEx leads me to the conclusion that FedEx is the worst delivery service. I paid $110 to have two, unassembled, plastic picnic tables delivered. One was damaged by FedEx and sent back, kudos to FedEx. The other package is in limbo. If FedEx did not want to do the work, then why are they agreeing to accept for delivery? Why do they not understand that all we want is a little transparency with our deliveries. Can FedEx tell me why they failed to deliver my package on 1/15? I will continue to update you on FedEx and their delivery promises.

Original Review: Over the past three years, we have rarely had a delivery from FedEx without a problem. We have a privacy gate leading to our property and was told by FedEx that they would not deliver inside the gate, even when given the security code. We have been told that their drivers will leave packages outside the gate, but they will not call us when delivered.

Last week, we received an email saying that our two packages would be delivered on 1/08, but that date was changed to 1/13. On 1/13, we watched the gate like a hawk, but no delivery. The next day on 1/14, we get an email saying there was a barcode problem and to expect delivery before end of day, Subsequently, we get another email that one of the packages was damaged and would be returned to the shipper. (Why not tell us this yesterday?)

I call and ask about the package and was told that it was being returned and to call them. I asked about the second package and was told delivery of the second package had been "attempted." Upon further questioning, I found out that driver saw the gate and left without leaving our package at the gate. The driver did not even leave a note saying he attempted delivery. I reiterated their policy about privacy gates, their promise to leave at the gate, and that they should call. I then instructed them to re-deliver and leave at the gate. We will see what happens tomorrow. FedEx is the worst delivery service.

Around 3 PM on Saturday, after waiting the most of the day, I was about to call them when a Fedex driver finally showed up. But he said he couldn't pick up the envelope, because he was from Fedex Ground and the label was for Fedex Express.

I called Fedex and they said they'd have to schedule a new pick up and that could only be for Monday! And all the drop off locations I checked on their website don't pick up on Saturday and Sunday. Unbelievable! One of worst experiences EVER!!!!! STILL waiting for replacement cards sent to me from financial institutions. Waited ALL DAY for delivery driver to arrive, then he left without so much as attempting to knock on my door. Unacceptable! Because driver refused to deliver 5 packages yesterday sent from financial institutions (when I had 5 OTHER PACKAGES from OTHER delivery services deliver on same day without a problem), then to leave ridiculously vague message indicating "delivery not suitable", giving not enough detail to determine how the circumstances might be changed to allow for subsequent successful delivery, it wasted 5+ hours of my time to track down. That was on 1-8-20 when the packages all SHOULD have been delivered.

Then supposedly another attempt was made today (1-9-20). This time, however, I was at home, and found out it was once again "undeliverable" only through an email received well after the driver had already left. Note that the delivery driver didn't attempt to even knock on my door. And this on a day when UPS successfully delivered a package too. So there is NO excuse! Also called local office. No one answered. Just repeated waste of my time with no information, no accountability. I have noted all this and have made complaints to financial institutions and others. Just received an e-mail from FedEx that shipping charges for a package I sent in December would be re-rated from ~$68 to ~$207. While I can totally accept that quoting is an imperfect science, it strikes me that this is an unconscionable practice and certainly absurd. Initially, their customer service rep stated: "that the quote is just an estimate and we reserve the right to adjust." After I explained the fact that it is both acceptable practice and a reasonable expectation that adjustments might and could occur, their quoting engine is required to at least be in the ballpark, versus 300+% off of the target to be a valid business practice. She escalated it up the chain, re-quoted based on the current rate table and ... Behold ~$79 popped up.

Clearly the revenue department and the shipping departments are not on the same page, and FedEx should be ashamed for fostering a practice this incongruent with corporate responsibility. If you encounter this event in your shipping, fight for your rights and force them to be good corporate citizens, or ... Move your business.

This was my first time shipping internationally. I assumed that, as big of an organization as FedEx is and considering how long they have been in the business, they should really know what they're doing. I went to my local FedEx Shipping Center to perform the shipment. The lady at the front desk was mostly nice but seemed to not be very consumer-friendly. I told her that this was my first time shipping internationally and was led to believe that she was telling me everything that I should know. She never notified me how detailed the description of the shipment is supposed to be and how it could severely negatively impact how easily it flows through customs if it is inaccurate to even a slight degree. She hardly told me anything about the international shipping process even when I asked about how different it might be from local shipping. She didn't even seem to care to notify me of all of the ins and outs of international shipping.

When it was costing me $180+ to ship roughly 5 lbs. of stuff, I should have already been second-guessing my decision and should have high-tailed it out of there. She didn't even bother to show me the breakdown of the costs when I asked for it. Little did I know that this was only the beginning. As a note, I paid for the shipment on Dec 17th, 2019 and it was "expected" to be delivered to Spanish Town, Jamaica on the 30th, though the lady at the front told me when I was paying for it that the package would arrive on Christmas Eve (24th) if the entire shipping process went smoothly.

When the shipment finally arrived at customs in the Kingston, Jamaica airport, I was notified via text that there was a clearance delay. The details on the tracking system simply said that detailed broker information was required. There was no specification what that might actually mean and I was never given a telephone number to call for questions.

My significant other on the receiving end was contacted by FedEx and they simply told her that they needed a Letter of Authorization (LOA). They never specified what that entailed or how we could go about procuring such a letter. When we both went to the official FedEx website, there was an LOA but it was far too technical and was hardly helpful to either of us.

Confused, I contacted FedEx customer support, specifically for International Services, to ask how we could go about filling out this letter. Of the five different people I talked to after calling five different times, not a single one of them knew anything about what an LOA even was, let alone how to fill one out. One of the customer service associates told me to call the number back that initially phoned the receiver, but when I told her that calling that number back was the first thing that I did and that it led me directly to the FedEx automated response service, she was completely dumbfounded and had no idea how to help me.

Eventually she created a support case for me and said that someone would be in contact with either myself or the receiver for more information and that they could help us fill out the LOA. I knew that was just her trying her best to tell me that nothing would happen about it without being direct with me. Part of paying for FedEx International Shipping involves a "broker selection" service, which allows the shipper to either choose a broker to deal with customs or to let FedEx do all of the work.

With FedEx being as incompetent as they were, we were left with no choice to act as our own broker. This is both highly confusing and potentially expensive for people who are totally new to international shipping and dealing with customs. Both of us are highly upset with FedEx. As I write this review, the issue has still not been resolved. Neither of us will be dealing with FedEx ever again. They have lost two loyal customers. If you have the option, never ship internationally with FedEx. You will most likely regret every second of it.

Don’t know what workers the people with good reviews have, but I’ve never had a good experience with Fedex and I’ve lived in 5 different cities in 3 different states so far. I’ve literally sat facing my front door and WATCHED as a fedex delivery driver walk up to my front door (no package in hand), slap a “sorry we missed you” note on my screen door, and attempt to turn around and walk off before I opened the door and confronted him. Yes, they’re THAT terrible.

Loooong story ahead: This is the last straw; I will no longer order from any company that ships with Fedex. Waiting for a laptop delivery: spent the weekend getting text updates about shipping delays to basically establish that my package (which I ordered last Wednesday and was coming from a city 40 mins away btw) would be delivered tomorrow instead of today. Fine. Get a text at 10 this morning saying it would be delivered today after all. I planned to be at home anyway so, once again, fine. Doorbell rings at 2pm today- I was upstairs putting towels away. I’m the 30 seconds it took me to put down the towels and race downstairs, the delivery guy had already slapped a note on his door and was driving off in his truck. Annoying but I guess it’s my fault for having the nerve to do things at home knowing I have a FedEx package coming today.

But it turned out alright since the recipient on the note is another family member (who is also expecting a package)- my package must still be on the way, right?

Nope. Get a Text at 4pm (thank god I signed up for optional text alerts or I wouldn’t have gotten ANY information) saying MY package is ready for customer pickup. So, of course, so contact customer service and explain that, not only have I gotten no official contact through Fedex other than a notice of my package being delayed several days ago, the only official information I got about my package being delivered WASN'T EVEN ADDRESSED TO ME!!!

And the rep gave me some BS story about the delivery person changing method from delivery to customer pickup without informing me. Right. Best Buy certainly did that. It’s not a huge company with standard shipping protocol or anything -_-. So not only are they terrible at delivering packages properly, they’re also liars. Now, as I get dressed to go pick up this package, I have one question: whose package is actually being held at Walgreens right now? Mine? Or my cousins? I guess time will tell...

Delivery delays with no explanation, customer service agents whose English is so poor it’s an additional 30 minutes phone time trying to get them to understand or even listen. The local agent isn’t any better. After a package getting lost for three days, the local supervisor said A; well it’s the world we live in, things happen, after I told him that answer was unacceptable and going back and forth over what second day air means he finally says what’s in your package you’re acting like it’s important. At which point he gets a string of obscenities from me.

I NEVER CHOOSE FEDEX WHEN I HAVE A CHOICE. It’s no wonder the company is floundering, or that the world’s largest shipper Amazon cut ties with them over quality of service. Just a few weeks ago Amazon asked their market place vendors to stop using FedEx. This one company I’ll be glad to see go under. You should ask what Brown can do for you, UPS.

I had send a gift to a friend in India in mid December 2019 which was as stated by FedEx to be delivered to the recipient on 17th of December. The fedex office had no clue of the required documents to be attached and accepted the parcel from Dubai. There was no follow up or information passed on the sender regarding the indefinite delay of delivery. Now after a week and a half and many complaint calls, the parcel has been returned back fully damaged. The entire package was hand torn and examined in a shockingly unprofessional way. When asked for a refund, the management of fedex refuses to do so stating they regret the 'inconvenience caused'. Strange if the service industry washes their hands this way. The entire loss is expected to be brushed under the couch with a simple apology pre rehearsed statement.

My wife moved from US to India last month. She took the help of Parcel Monkey Ltd (International parcel delivery services) in US to ship our household items from USA, North Carolina to India, Bangalore. Before making the payment ($1,000) Parcel Monkey team did confirm that they will take FedEx team help to move the items when it reaches Bangalore and FedEx will get our package delivered to the home address as mentioned in the Application form. But we were in complete surprise and literally got cheated when we received call from FedEx office which is in Bangalore Airport Air India Sats office and asked us to pay Rs 8,600 to FedEx for having our package in their warehouse even though we had paid $ 1,000 (around 71k INR) for the entire service. Since we had no choice we went ahead and paid FedEx, later they asked us to pay another 3k INR to the Customs and the Warehouse team to clear the Items.

This whole confusion was created by FedEx (Our contact person from FedEx was Sujata (**) from Clearance Support Admin and she did not give any clarity on such expenses. After all this nonsense and waiting for almost 6 hrs in FedEx office, we understand from FedEx team that one of our Package is misplaced and we need to raise a ticket to get this issue sorted (THIS WAS THE MOST PATHETIC RESPONSE WE COULD GET FROM FEDEX TEAM). We could not believe that FedEx only job is to ship and deliver the goods and they big time failed to do their basic job.

After 6 hours Sujata mentioned that due to some confusion within FedEx company one of our box was misplaced and another customer's package was assigned in our name, another blunder to the list by FedEx. Since we were exhausted with their stupid procedure and not giving any clarity to us we left the place. The next day we got a call from FedEx JP Nagar office that our missing Box is In-transit for delivery and we have to pay another Rs. 6,684.00 (which includes customs, Duty IGST, Duty Advancement charges) to get the box delivered home. The person who called from FedEx JP Nagar office was also very rude and he kept asking us to pay the money to get the boxes delivered without which he will not move the boxes from his office. After all this horrible experience with FedEx, we are still waiting for our missing bag and nobody has a clue where the missing bag is.

It was supposed to arrive 12/27 and instead, never made it and is now in Wisconsin and the expected delivery date is 1/3. One week later! Last time we drove an hour to pick up a mattress that they had at their warehouse for days and wouldn’t deliver on the weekend after I had stayed home the day it was supposed to be delivered so I could accept the package. From what the tracking showed, it sat in Syracuse for an extra day, then upon reaching the Albany area, was loaded on the truck for delivery Thursday at 5am, rode around on the truck all day and returned to the facility at 3pm. It finally showed up on Friday, with a couple other packages, one of which wasn't even on the drivers manifest! If he hadn't been near the end of the route, he wouldn't have even noticed the extra package was on the truck, and it would have rode back on the truck again.

He was leaving on vacation. Three: We had to figure out how to put a hold on the package. Four: I have to contact them again later to try to get a refund for the overnight charges. Five: They asked me for ebay's account number? What on earth? Why would a multinational corporation give their third party seller's their account number? Bottom line: No more overnight shipments for me. They cannot be depended on.

I ordered from a (large) online retailer. In hopes of receiving something before Christmas, I placed an order with (allegedly) free deliver --based on the promise of December 19th delivery. First indication of problems: overnight message --delivery delayed until December 20th. Later in the day, December 19th, I receive a notice that delivery was attempted but no one home. December 20th, I wait all day (until 3:00 PM), not even getting a shower --but no one come. I have to leave for my Christmas duties. 10 minutes later, they allegedly attempted delivery... I spent most of the day trying to get my login to FedEx working. Password reset, etc. Never did get the email for the reset. I left for Christmas affairs. FedEx schedules delivery for December 26. FedEx is a no-show. No explanation. They reschedule for December 27th.

December 27th --FedEx claims to have attempted delivery at 9:50 AM. Simply not true. I was within feet of the door all day, so far. They didn't come; they didn't post a "door tag". They lied (or mis-delivered.) I called FedEx. They decided to put a "trace" on it, and promised (local office) to call me back no later than 5:30 PM. 5:30 PM, nothing. They're a no-show again.

I call FedEx back at 6:30. They promise to have someone call me back to update me on the trace "soon"; that was the best I could get. It is now 9:30 PM, and I still have heard nothing. I believe they have lost it, and can't locate it. Now I am so glad I did not agree to sign (and take responsibility for) leaving it without signature. Now they're saying it is reschedule for December 28th. So I am supposed to spend a 4th day waiting around for a delivery that is not likely to happen? I will never knowingly order something to be shipped via FedEx. (I used to think they were the best.)

After the package arrived in Tracy CA, it never moved again. It was to be delivered to Stockton CA, not even a hour away. The tracking number showed it to be "Pending." I called FedEx every day, asking when the package would be delivered. Every time I was told it would be by the end of the day, or tomorrow, by the end of the day, tomorrow. It didn't arrive by Christmas, and still shows to be "Pending."

When I called again the day after Christmas, after the package had been sitting at the facility in Tracy CA for 6 days, I was told that facility was behind & I would just have to wait. I even asked if I could go pick it up, but was told no. I ended up calling Walmart, explaining how FedEx didn't deliver the package I ordered 2 weeks ago & I was helped immediately. Walmart refunded my money, ordered another product for me & asked if I wanted to pick it up at the store that same day.

FedEx did absolutely nothing to help me, not to mention they lied to me every time I called, just to get me off the phone. And for them to tell me that, that facility is behind, it just isn't acceptable. Christmas isn't a new holiday, they know year after year what to expect. I will never use FedEx again. Two weeks ago, I received 4 packages by FedEx of stereo equipment. One of the pieces was failing, so I contacted the company and got a waybill for FedEx to pick it up and send it back. Once it was picked up, the company sent me a replacement (Colorado to New Jersey). When the replacement arrived at my building the next week (a high rise doorman building), the driver looked at it and thought that it was the package he had picked up the week before, didn’t bring it into the apartment building, informing the doorman that he was as rejecting the shipment. I received a text that the shipment was rejected, and called the customer service number, and they said that it was an errant scan, and it should still arrive today.

Later in the day, I ran into the doorman and found out the truth. I called the csr again (about 1:00 pm) and was told that they would call the station and they would contact the driver and have him get it to me at the end of his run. This didn’t happen, and in the evening, the status was changed online to “returning to sender”. I called customer service, they tried to call the station in Jersey City, and no one answered (twice). About 11 pm, I noticed that the status was changed to loaded for delivery, and it said it should get to me the end of the day (today, 12/24). In the morning, I got a text that the package had been rejected by the recipient (me!), and I hustled downstairs. The doorman was there, but there was no FedEx truck anywhere.

I called customer service, they sent me to the tracer department and they started an inquiry, and said that it was out with the truck for delivery, but I noticed that the delivery address as now the sender’s address (with my name). I was told that they can’t change this, since the sender company has a delivery exception (they are on vacation for the holidays). I tracked down a FedEx truck in the neighborhood, but it wasn’t the one that covered my block. That driver gave me a number to call for their supervisor, as I had to go to work, so I called him, and he said he would look into it and call me back (he didn’t).

When I got home from work at 5:30 pm, I called customer service, they put me in touch with the Jersey City Station, and the person there said that the package was already on a truck being shipped back to Colorado, and the only thing I could do was to file a dispute, and that I should have called the station. When I told her that I called the station with csr several times, was told that the csr contacted the station once, and that I had talked to a supervisor, and I hadn’t gotten an answer, all she said was that she wasn’t working on that shift. I filed the dispute, and they contacted someone else at the Jersey City station that said my package was on the truck there, waiting to be shipped back to Colorado. They tagged it, but without hearing from the sender, it would still ship out on Thursday sometime. Again, the sender is on vacation all week.

I put out emails, voice mails, and forum messages to the sender to try to get them to respond, with no answer, but why should they have to ok shipment of a package to me that they shipped to me in the first place, when the only status change is that the driver rejected the shipment without any reference or consultation with me? This company is off the charts ridiculous when it comes to customer service. I now have a very expensive package being held in limbo at the station with the sender’s address on it, having to call daily to insure that it doesn’t get sent back to the sender, who is on vacation!

This month we have had a horrible time with FedEx. We have a dog that has special dietary needs. He's on a prescription food and the only place that reliably has it in stock is an online pet supply distributor... who uses FedEx for shipping. Last year in December, we ordered his supplies and they arrived 4 days late. I understand it's their busy season, but at least their tracking was on point and luckily we ordered early enough to account for a possible delay. This year on the other hand is a different story. We placed our order a week early, in anticipation of the delay. The warehouse the distributor shipped from is 3 hours away. It is currently sitting in a FedEx Distribution Center 30 minutes away. Here is the current timeline of this shipment:

    Dec 10, order placed
Dec 11, Picked up by FedEx
Dec 12, Arrived at FedEx Distribution Center
Dec 13 (AM), out for delivery (Never came)
Dec 13 (PM), back at same FedEx DC
Between the 16-19 the package would go out for delivery in the AM and be returned in the PM, then tracking stops.
Dec 18 we run out of his food. I make him turkey and rice at feedings for the next 2 days.

Dec 20 I call FedEx. They state they are a little behind.. (Ya think?) I explain the importance of this package and she states that she will relay to the local DC. Someone from the local DC calls me, I verify the address, phone number, and again explain the importance of this package. She lets me know she will work to get it delivered by end of day. Lo and behold, I log in to FedEx and I see the package has a delivery date of Dec 20. I thought this was behind me and was going to then provide a decent review for making it right despite the situation....

Package never came... It is now Dec 21 so the package has been sitting with FedEx for 8 days... Now the website says "Estimated Delivery Date: Pending" So my efforts were futile, and here I am, writing a 1 star review. Meanwhile other packages that are delivered by a competing Parcel Service and a Federally Funded Parcel Service have arrived with minimal delays. If your seller has other options besides FedEx, use them.

I have PTSD from dealing with FedEx. They are the most incompetent and illogical service I have ever dealt with. I live in a secured building. I have explicit instructions on my FedEx profile to leave packages at the office. This is beyond their ability. Every time I have a package from FedEx, I have to spend every day multiple days on the phone with customer service. This has happened more times than I can even count. When I talk to customer service, I tell them right off to look at all the times I have had to call them. I have been given conflicting information, lied to, and brushed off. Anything to get me off the phone. Yesterday, after 3 failed 'attempts,' I explained to them exactly where the office was, giving ridiculous details, because you can see it from the parking lot.

I was in the office picking up other packages, when the FedEx package actually arrived! The really offensive part was that he had two large loads of packages and knew the office employee! So why do I have to call repeatedly and draw little pictures for the drivers to deliver my package with all the others?! The last packages they were supposed to deliver, they couldn't manage and the packages got sent back. Only they only sent one back. They destroyed the other one and didn't bother to mention it for several days. I can't even say how many times I told them that it was food and needed to be delivered because it could only ride around town so many days before it went bad.

This nonsense has been going on for somewhere around a year now. I have instructed Amazon to, under no circumstances, ship FedEx as they actively refuse to deliver to my address. Unfortunately, most companies don't say how they are shipping it and there's no way short of calling them to know so I can make alternate arrangements or order from someone else.

I've tried being reasonable and patient. I've tried shouting. I've spoken to a supervisor. I've done everything I can think of. FedEx is the worst company, hands down, that I have ever dealt with. And that's even after the post office stopped delivering to my complex altogether without telling anyone because they changed the routes. I've dealt with a lot of incompetence in my life. And FedEx is the absolute worst.

I have had FedEx drivers claim that my address is invalid, or that I was not home to receive the package, or that the package was not deliverable, or any myriad of excuses. This last delivery (I do not have it yet) was supposed to be delivered yesterday. It was not. The reason stated was "We made a delivery attempt: 12/19/2019 08:12 PM. Delivery will be attempted again on the next business day". That's funny, I was home at 8:12 p.m. and nobody drove their truck onto my street and driveway. Note that their email stated the package would be delivered the next day. Guess what? No delivery again and now the latest from their tracking site states "No scheduled delivery date available at this time. Scheduled delivery: Pending."

We have repeatedly contacted the delivery hub where the drivers for area work from. We even went there in person to complain. There was an individual who helped once; however, he has moved on and his replacement has not responded to us when we have reached out to him. FedEx needs to either poop or get off the pot and let conscientious, honest delivery services handle the ground shipping business; they can't get their act together. UPS, USPS, and other deliveries are ALWAYS successful and on time. We NEVER have a problem with them. I intend to stop ordering from companies that utilize only FedEx (like Amazon has chosen to do--thank you Amazon!). I am sick and tired of the drama of poor delivery service.

The only way I could contact Fedex was through "chat". The representative told me the package would be delivered the next THURSDAY due to weather. This is almost a week later. I told him that Fedex had to know this before the last 15 minutes of the promised delivery day. I asked how Fedex was going to compensate me since I took an entire day off of work. He said, "We are not going to compensate you at all." I stated that this was horrible service recovery. He hung up on me. I will never use Fedex again. Hope whoever got it has a cat because it contains cat liter, bowls and a Scratching post.

After reading other reviews and dealing with them in the past, I’m not even going to waste my time trying to call FedEx and complain. You get the same answer no matter how many people you talk to. Guess FedEx don’t care about the small people but it’s the small people that can spread bad reports about how your company is doing (or in this case not doing). They say that word of mouth can make or break a business. From now on I’m requesting all of my packages to be shipped by UPS or USPS.

Original Review: On Dec 13 my package left Dayton, Oh. Dec 14 arrived at the Independence, Ky facilities. Dec 16 arrived again, then out for delivery, then arrived at the carrier facility again. Dec 17 departed Independence, Ky. Dec 18 it is now in transit (two times) in Indianapolis, In. I live 20 minutes from Independence so why is my package floating around in Indiana? Was a 2 day delivery! I could have had it sent by the USPS and would have had it by now. So the company is shipping me a replacement order. Hopefully this one won’t get lost!

I ordered an item that was set to be delivered to my house yesterday. I was given a large window from early AM until 8:00PM to expect the arrival of my package which needed signed for. Having someone at home all morning then taking half of a day off from work so that the other person waiting could leave I knew would be the best way not to miss my delivery. This was at noon. Just after 4PM, I happened to step outside my front door to find one package delivered from FedEx and a sticky note on my door (Door Tag) claiming that they attempted to deliver my expensive package but no one was home. No text, email, no knock at my door and my doorbell never rang. In fact, I spent the afternoon sitting just on the opposite side of that same door in my living room.

When I called customer service the woman was not very customer friendly stating that the driver noted attempted delivery between 3:30 and 3:50PM and because of the holidays the driver could not do a return visit. I explained that I had been home all afternoon after taking time out of my work day, losing half a day's pay, and no one knocked at my door. I offered since it was only 30 minutes since the supposed attempt that I would meet the driver as he or she would still be in the area. The customer service woman very rudely stated that I would have to wait until the following day (today) for another delivery attempt. I asked if there was a smaller time frame of estimated delivery time as to I was informed "No, delivery anytime before 8PM". I asked to speak to a supervisor and the woman directly said "Sure, so they can tell you the exact same thing I just told you."

Doing business with Fed Ex for a long period of time with my company, I would not have expected such low regard to customer care. There are other services out there (Tnt Express, Amazon, etc.) that may be more worthy of my loyal business and that of other recently un-satisfied customers. The paperwork left on my door was blank, no boxes checked, nothing. I understand the Christmas rush for deliveries but that doesn't mean these route managers should cut corners. For anyone planning to do business with Fed Ex, do not settle for poor quality service, remember you are a paying customer.

After escalating a call to a supervisor to try and resolve a delivery issue - as a result of the package tracking and alert system not working - I found myself on the phone with someone working in the 'Customer Advocate Team: Escalation Department'. In short, she was offensive: I asked her to stop saying something as I found it offensive, belittling and treating me as a sub-human, at which point she just said it again! I then asked how to speak to her supervisor, apparently she doesn't have one as she deals with complaints as high as 'Vice-President'. If I wanted to complain then I should hang up and call back and speak to someone else in the call center located in Bristol Tennessee.

I'm not sure how much of the information she provided (location, reporting level etc) is accurate. But for someone working in a call center not having a supervisor, and capable of being intentionally offensive after being asked to stop saying something, and then asking for you to call back and report it to a co-worker on the same shift at the same call center... A new low for me when it comes to customer service. Not a company I would recommend to anyone after this experience. May seem convenient at the time, but to be treated so badly after the systems FedEx have implemented are not working and you were just calling to work out a solution, that's not how you treat customers. Only hope I get my package delivered now!

FedEx has to be the worst service ever. This past summer I ordered an awning offline and it was shipped FedEx. They list that it was delivered to my house and it was not. So when I called and 4 messages later when they finally called back they said it was left by my garage at my house on the corner, which I do not live on a corner. When I informed them of this they apologized and said I need to contact the shipper of the product and that was it. So the shipper of the product made good and made me a new one at their expense and sent it to me UPS which showed up at my house in the correct amount of time.

Now move ahead 4 months, we order a piece of furniture for our house and they ship FedEx. Delivery day comes and goes, they say held up because of bad weather. Finally four days later after calling and leaving messages we call the shipper that then reimburses us for the product because FedEx does not know where the package is. 1 week later I order a piece of equipment for work which was to be delivered on the 13th, yes you guessed it they shipped FedEx. Was listed as out on truck for 4 days, when I finally call they say it was a weather delay.

I finally get a call back and they tell me they are not sure where it is and that they will check with the dispatch center. I offer to go pick it up at center because I need for a job and they then inform me that it is still sitting in a trailer and that they are backlogged and that they were sorry. I do not understand how they stay in business. The customer service is awful and the delivery is even worse. I am in the customer service industry and if I ever pulled this crap I would be out of business. If you use shipping companies use a different one other then FedEx, they suck.

I called FedEx and was told that during the busy season the drivers sometimes "pre-scan" the delivery - whatever that means. So, when I received an email stating that the package was delivered on a specific date at a specific time and location, someone had to know that they were sending me information that was, at best, a guess. I bought a dresser from Target for my mother about two weeks ago. The first time FEDEX attempted to drop off the package they left a tag since my mother was not home. At the third attempt I spoke to a FEDEX customer service rep and he told me that they would try to deliver the dresser again and he gave me the time frame of 4-7pm. My mother had to change her schedule to accommodate FEDEX and got home by 3:30pm. When my mother got home, she saw that the item was not there. She proceeded to go up to her apartment and around 4:30pm she checked again and there was a tag saying they missed her -- mind you she was already home. They never even rang the bell.

Then frustrated I called FEDEX AGAIN. I explained to them that my mother was home and that she had no means of picking up the dresser at the warehouse (this is where they leave it after three attempts). I asked if they could drop it off on a day that she would be home and they said OK and that if she wasn't there they would leave it there. The day comes by No package. Then I had Target Customer care call them and they told Target that the package would be delivered MONDAY. Monday and Tuesday comes by and NO package.

I proceeded to look at the tracking information on my order and it said that I needed to call FEDEX--so AGAIN I did. NOW another FEDEX customer service rep got on the phone and I explained to her THE WHOLE situation and THEN she proceeds to tell me that whoever I spoke to before lied to me and that FEDEX would NOT be delivering the item because it was already tried 3 times. Furious, I hung up the phone and decided to reorder the dress again with target to see if the delivery could be made again. I finally got a new tracking number for the second order I made and called FEDEX last night, asking to make a request that whoever delivers the dresser could LEAVE the dress even if my mother wasn't home Then she proceeds to tell me that FEDEX doesn't leave packages at apartment complexes...

FEDEX. Please train your customer service people AND deliver people better. This is ridiculous and now I'm not sure if my mother will get her dresser. This is Christmas time and if you cannot be accommodating to your customers then what is your purpose? This is a horrible horrible way to treat people and your customers. FedEx tracking said package would be delivered Dec 4 by end of day. Signature Required. About 11:30 pm that night I check and tracking says package would be delivered Dec 5 by end of day. Signature Required. Rinse and repeat this again and again. I call FedEx customer service every day, and every day they express their apologies and assure me it will be there next day. The next day comes and goes and still no package. And did I mention it’s signature required?

It wouldn’t be so bad if the delivery is delayed as long as they give you accurate delivery information so you don’t rearrange your work and your life to be home between the hours of 8 am and 10 pm. They’re worse than the cable company. After many phone calls and changing the delivery to a local Walgreens with a FedEx, I finally picked up my computer, 6 business days late. Again, it only had to travel 40 miles total.

They changed the tracking information from “Dec 18 by noon” to simply “Dec 18”. I’m sure by the end of day it’ll be replaced by “Dec 19th by end of day”. Btw, the estimated cost to deliver this letter priority overnight is around 75 bucks. They have no business charging that much to guarantee delivery when they NEVER deliver anything on-time. Instead of returning the package to myself the sender they have now taken it as a "security" issue.

Today is 12/18 over three months later and the package has not been returned to myself. This is beyond reasonable for any company to pump itself up as a "security" service when it is merely a shipping service. Call customer service and they don’t know why but tells me I should stay home again on Saturday (thereby taking another day off from two jobs). I escalated it and a rep assured me they will call station manager first thing Sat morning and call me back - as I said I’d need it to be delivered before I went to work on Sat. No one called me, and when I called them Sat, no one knew what I was talking about and they couldn’t deliver before I went to work.

I understand delays happen during holiday season but had they told me on Friday even at 5pm that they can’t deliver, I would’ve at least gone to my second job - I only get paid if I show up, so loss of pay on Friday. I wasn’t willing to take off Sat and Sun from work as I didn’f trust they would actually show up. Called Monday morning, rep says be home as it will be last attempt. Take off from work again, notice at 12:30pm that their website says deliver is Tues, call them again and told it was never scheduled for Mon. So now I’ve lost two days worth of pay, not to mention my boss is not happy with me (rightfully so).

Argued with Fedex for two hours - if Fedex can’t deliver and doesn’t let customers know proactively of the delay, their ‘help’ is telling the customer too bad, stay home until we deliver. Then they have the audacity to say they are helping! Of course no one knows how to file a complaint, I need to be reimbursed for two days of lost pay, and when I finally do they also don’t know when they will follow up. You know the funny part is that these items were ordered on Black Friday, which guarantees the arrival of the packages to be at an efficient pace. I recently ordered items three days ago and now they are sitting on my kitchen table courtesy of USPS and UPS. Thank you FedEx for making me despise shopping online. P.S. Please investigate this company because too many complaints have been issued by many people across the country and world.

The only explanation for lost packages of mine that were supposed to be Christmas presents is that FedEx drivers are stealing them. And when you call to ask where your package is, you are better off going to your neighbor's house and asking them. Because they know just as much as the morons at Fedex do. And at least you are likely to be able to understand what your neighbor is saying. Fedex has ruined my Christmas and I will never use them again. They don't deserve the one star rating I am giving them. Avoid Fedex shipments at all cost people.

I placed two orders for prescription pet foods from two different sources. The FedEx website said that my orders would be received on Friday, they were not received. Their website then said that they would be received on Saturday and still did not come. I still did not receive them on Sunday. Their website said that they attempted to deliver one of them but was unable to. I was at home and was checking regularly to see if they had come. My cats need their prescription foods now!!!

Once again, FedEx has proven that it is possible to lower standards even more. I ordered a phone from Straight Talk (another questionable company) on the 11th of December this year. That order was "shipped" using FedEx Ground the same day as the order was placed. The package arrived in Zionsville where it remained, for no apparent reason, for two days without moving. At the time the Delivery Date was for the 13th of December this year. As FedEx is incapable of providing a delivery time my wife and I waited for the package to be delivered and in accordance with their tracking advisories.

By 5:00pm on the 13th I checked the tracking again just to discover that the delivery date had been changed to the 14th. An entire day wasted waiting for FedEx to arrive. My wife and I waited all day again, on the 14th, and despite the tracking claiming the package was on the truck for delivery it once again failed to turn up. Two days of sitting around waiting for incompetence.

As such, FedEx "Customer Support" was contacted and I was abruptly told that there was nothing that could be done and I needed to talk to the shipper, Straight Talk. In other words, FedEx failed in its responsibility and then palmed that responsibility back onto the Shipper, and that is what they incredulously refer to as Customer Service. FedEx Customer Service is nothing more than a bunch of individuals who look at the same tracking information as is sent to the customer and NOTHING more. The only thing that they do, and do well, is to pass their responsibility onto someone else, typical Corporate American attitude of "it's always someone else's fault and never ours"!

When I asked to speak to someone in Horseheads NY, where the package was being delivered from, I was told that was not allowed. You can't even speak with those responsible and who "might be able" to offer a reason for what has taken place and who may be able to actually help in some way. No explanation given, or even offered, as to why a package that is supposedly on a truck for delivery is not delivered. I guess the driver must have gotten tired and just couldn't be bothered as has happened all too often in the past to us and in our area generally.

FedEx doesn't give a damn about the customer and does nothing to help when things go wrong. The ONLY thing they are any good at is coming up with pitiful excuses in an attempt to justify their blatant incompetence. Bottom line, if you have a choice of using another shipper, any other shipper, use them. If the only shipper offered by a company is FedEx - use another Company to purchase your items from. Unfortunately one is unable to leave the Stars thing empty or submit a negative star. If it were possible FedEx would be rated no better than a MINUS TEN for an over priced, incompetent, unhelpful, arrogant, apathetic company.

FedEx is by far the worst out of all delivery companies in the market. On 3 separate occasions they have delivered late on my packages. The most recent which is still “scheduled to be delivered” is currently 1 week late and won’t be delivered for 4 more days. I called the company and they told me that they would transfer to my local mail service and would be delivered today. Guess what wasn’t delivered today?! My package! It’s crazy to think this company has actually been around this long. By far the worst customer service and mail delivery service company in the market. Make the right call and use someone else, anyone else, they will treat you better and actually deliver your package. Ordered: 01 December 19. Current: 14 December 19. Expected delivery: 18 December 19. The package is supposedly only 30 minutes away (Has been for 4 days) but I can’t pick up for some unknown reason. Extremely disappointed...

Every Saturday same thing. Wait all day. Says it's out for delivery for that day and never comes. Then they say they have attempted to deliver. **!!!! I even called and ask if my package will be delivered and I was assured so had my custom drive one hour to pick up. But it never came. So I called back and date was changed 3 days further out. Horrible experience with FedEx. Every Saturday same situation.

NEGATIVE STARS. I have had similar issues that others have had. Will not be using FedEx again. Had I known the sender would use them, I would have said to use reliable USPS. Been "in transit" in SLC for a week. Now states it's been on a local delivery truck for 2 days, and yet, still no package. I have waited at home 2 days now, due to signature requirements. WTF FedEx!

This has been the second time this driver has misdelivered a package. FedEX would not do anything to help. I was able to track it down and recover it. Tracking number: **. Luckily, the recipient knew who I was and contacted a mutual friend. The first time this happened was in March and the driver had to locate where he took it and re-deliver it...

I ordered a long fur vest from Neiman Marcus, the driver lies and says they shipped my package at my apartment door at 5:26pm on 12/12/19. Mind you I have been home since 4:25pm that day. NO ONE came to my building much less my apartment. These delivery people are liars and thieves and I hate this company. Then they make it look like you're the one lying when you're not. I have cameras in my building. COME ON. Your delivery people were a no show. I just pray I get my refund for my vest. I am so pissed.

I asked FedEx to investigate the delivery person and I was forced to put in a claim with Neiman Marcus. These retailers need to put secret tracking devices on their packages so they can track if the package ended up at the right location. Obviously FedEx has criminals working for them. I will NEVER do business with a company that works with FedEx. This is a major crime to steal someone's mail and they are getting away with murder. The retail companies need to hold FedEx liable if a product really does not reach the buyer and a claim has to be filed by purchaser. Happy holidays with my Fur FedEx.

I ordered a $300.00 Christmas outside light decoration, the company fulfilled the order within a day, and shipped it the next day. The shipment notification was great, it told me where the shipment was and when to expect it. However, the day it was to arrive, it never showed up, I got a second notice that it was on the truck and will be delivered the next day. I called to understand why, the facility was overloaded and could not make the shipment. So, the clerk assured me that the delivery would arrive the next day, I got the email notice as well.

I kept my animals in the house, gate open and lights on for both days. The second day, the shipment never showed up, again. I got a couldn't deliver notice at the end of the delivery time, not before or any other notice. I called the number again the second night, making note that the shipment had not showed up again. The clerk had no information why it was not delivered, but said it would be the next business day, Saturday since home delivery. To keep from keeping my animals in a 3rd day, I asked them to make the delivery before noon, did not happen, again it will be all day. 3 days to actually get to my home from the local delivery warehouse. There is no point to sending notices, because FedEx doesn't honor them. I will limit my use of fedex going forward.
