Complaints abound about FedEx's dismal service and lack of accountability and in my experience, deservedly so. I've lost hundreds of dollars because of shipments and wasted hours tracking down packages delivered to someone else in my neighborhood. I've filed claims that a representative candidly told me, "It's not going to amount to anything." However now when I order online I ask my vendor what shipping company they use. If they say FedEx I simply say, "Oh, sorry. I'll have to find another vendor." I know it's a little extra work but if all the unhappy consumers did this the slow erosion of revenue would inevitably come to the attention of FedEx's accounting department. Meaningful loss of revenue is what fuels corporate change. Also, it takes some pursuing, but Amazon will drop FedEx as a delivery method on your account.

Have emailed FedEx tracking twice about where my package is and received no response. Supposed to give me up to date tracking, haven't been updated, says my package is still in Hagerstown MD, but supposed to be at my house today. Pitiful and very unprofessional.

I shipped a package from Mexico to the US. The package was fragile and clearly marked fragile in both English and Spanish on all sides of the box. The package arrived in the US two days later but then stayed in Tennessee for several weeks (despite being told when I paid for shipping that it would arrive within 10 days), arriving completely destroyed! While the contents were not very valuable, it was an object that held very sentimental value for me and cost over $200 to ship. I filed a claim that day after opening it. After receiving a computer generated response, informing me that I would have a written resolution in 5-7 days, I waited. When I didn't receive the written response, I emailed FedEx again to inquire on the status of the claim. Same type of computer generated response.
After over one month of filing the claim, I called to talk to a live person. I was told that I would have to contact the FedEx store in Mexico and have them file a claim. I was also told that even though the store said "FedEx," the employees there wore FedEx shirts, and the package was shipped FedEx, there was nothing FedEx could do because the individuals are not actually FedEx employees and if I wanted to file a claim I would have to do so from that location! Now I'm not sure if I was supposed to be informed of this when I shipped the package- but there was a language barrier - but I am confused how an individual shipping internationally goes back to the location to file a claim or even contacts the location?
I recommend that FedEx have warnings regarding international shipping, clearly identifying that there is a lack of support if contents are damaged. I am out over $200 in shipping charges, which FedEx would not refund and the money I paid for the contents. Had I known there was this risk of damage and nonsupport, I would not have shipped with FedEx.

I sent a package with paychecks overnight delivery to Southern California and FedEx refused to deliver stating fire made it unacceptable but there was no fire at the location and there were employees working. I waited until the next day. Same story so I asked that the package be return and they charged me again. The FedEx complaint person said their own system did not show it undeliverables on the delivery date, so they lied. Worse service ever. UPS has much higher standards.

Just wow! I received notice that my package was delivered to my work (open 7 days a week) on Saturday at 10:20AM. I drive to work to pick up my package. There is no package. I call FedEx. I am told that the business is closed. Uhhhh, nope, it’s not. Then I’m told it will take a 48 hour investigation to look into the matter. No... it really won’t, call the driver and see where he is or give me his number and I will call him. Oh, they can’t do that. No sooner do I hang up then I get a call from FexEx. Richard assures me the package is still on the truck and he will have the driver back by 5. Needless to say that doesn’t happen. Called Sunday to be told they don’t deliver on Sunday but my package will arrive first thing Monday. Here I sit. I decided to call at 10:15 this morning only to be told they aren’t delivering today because of the holiday. Wow!

FedEx dropping the ball. Had important package coming for grand opening. GUARANTEED for this past Friday by 10 AM had hired company to install and had to pay for nothing as package was no show. Called at 10 and FedEx rep said would have by end of day Friday. Went and rented bucket lift to install myself which wasn't cheap. Guess what no package. Got ahold of the vendor who shipped to me. She and me called and FedEx GUARANTEED I have it by 8 am Saturday. So kept the rental... Guess what no delivery. I could of had vendor remake and ship again but based on FedEx lies believed I would have Saturday by 8 as promised.
Called several times. A rep named Nicholas said he would expedite and have a carrier deliver within 12 hours. Now it is Sunday and still no package. All they have to say is sorry... I am down thousands of dollars now because of wasted money on equipment I should of returned if they hadn't of lied to me and shipper. I will be hiring a attorney as I cannot afford the loss of money due to their screw ups. SHAME ON YOU FEDEX. DON'T USE FEDEX. I recommend anyone but FedEx as they are compulsive liars.

I was expecting TWO packages to be delivered on 11/10/2018. The tracking indicated the packages were on the vehicle at 5:56 AM. I waited around all day and called multiple times but FedEx indicated that the packages were still out for delivery. I wait until 8 PM, because they tell me deliveries can take place until that time and when I call, they tell me that the PACKAGES WERE NEVER LOADED ONTO THE TRUCK. TWO PACKAGES! What are the chances of that happening and both were "scanned on the manifest". Now, the rescheduled delivery is for 11/13 with no timeline provided. How can you rely on these people if you run a business? FEDEX MUST DO BETTER and hold their employees accountable. If they had simply notified me that my package was not on the truck, I COULD HAVE PICKED IT UP. Instead, now I have to wait 3 days because of their mistake? I can take my business elsewhere, and will...

I have purchased special laptop adapter in USA and shipped thru Fedex USA to India address in Chennai, India (near international airport). We had problem in picking up itself in USA. After landing in wrong city for customs, they started telling story for customs delay. Finally landed in my city Chennai, India after 11 days . they started delaying by incorrect address delay. We use to get minimum 4 letter and few times in a Week parcels thru courier and my home is only 5.7 Km away from the international Airport. I found after checking with my friend circle. This is the common problem of FEDEX status on tracking info. FEDEX is not correct and they are repeated give false info about you and the parcel.

A package for a Disabled Veteran, was supposed to have been delivered on Tuesday, November 6, 2018. FedEx dropped the ball on a very late pickup from sender's location. FedEx "apologized" and set the delivery for November 9, 2018. They again dropped the ball. So they have it for delivery today, November 10, 2018. Keep in mind that it is for a Veteran's Day event today, November 10, 2018 at 3 PM, and still, FedEx has dropped the ball. Apologies is all we ever get from them, and apologies lose their value, when the same mistake is made, deliberately over, and over again. If you are thinking about using FedEx to deliver your holiday packages... Forget it. Walking your package to China, would be faster.

And I get the call at 2:46 pm and now they're not able to contact the driver. Now I have to wait 2 more days to receive a package with materials to finish a product I had to deliver tonight. I bet the driver DID NOT feel like driving over here to deliver the package because it was getting late for him/her to finish the shift. Really bad experience with these people and HORRIBLE customer service. I've received packages from UPS and USPS really late at night and these people close at 2 pm??? What a joke they are. We sent a parcel from Mumbai to Vellore, Tamil Nadu on 02/11/2018 (doc no **). It contained some sweets for our son Vivek ** for Diwali. We were assured that it would be delivered to him on 5th or 6th Nov. Only because of this assurance did we go ahead with the despatch as the sweets would not last beyond a few days. Every single day from 5th Nov onwards we have been following up with FedEx for our parcel. We were told each time that it would be delivered 'tomorrow'. Finally we were told by FedEx that the parcel was delivered to him on 08/11/2018 which was a lie since my son has till date not received the parcel. On 9th Nov someone called him to say that the parcel will be delivered at 11.00 am, then at 12 noon, then at 4.00 pm then 6.00 pm then 7.00 pm.
How and why when the parcel was supposedly delivered on 8th Nov? Today is 10 Nov and he is still waiting for the parcel. This is the case of pure cheating and breach of trust on the part of FedEx. It was either delivered to the wrong person or FedEx personnel manipulated the documents to come clean. We have been contacting FedEx toll-free number from 06/ 11 / 2018 onwards everyday at least 3 to 4 times a day and your call center guys kept disconnecting the phone after listening to us. This was least expected from FedEx being a Fortune 500 US company. Now we have no one to contact or follow up with. Please do not continue in the customer service sector since you are just not capable of it in the least.
In the meantime I demand a refund of Rs. 1500 as the value of our sweets and the courier charges as the entire purpose of sending a courier for Diwali was defeated. If there was no guarantee of the timeframe then we could have been told. Before we came to FedEx we approached other couriers who very clearly told us that they could not give us any guarantee as to when the parcel would reach Vellore. But FedEx was so confident that it would reach in 3 days time and being such a well-known brand. We made the mistake of trusting and believing FedEx. Please note that we await our refund else we will proceed legally against FedEx.

The level of incompetence at this company is mindblowing. I've had stuuupid issues countless times in the past but this one takes the cake. Package delivery was canceled with the reason being "Unable to deliver/ Business closed." for a 24/7 Duane Reade drop-off point. Upon calling, the center said that the label was actually entered wrong and did not indicate the overnight shipping I elected. Yet it somehow made it from Indiana to Maspeth, 10 minutes from the address overnight. I could have ridden my bike to the shipping facility. So really, it was never attempted --the package never made it onto the truck. I waited until 11:30 am because the tracking said it would arrive by 10:30 am. No updates until 11:30 am telling me I had an issue. So a whole morning pointlessly wasted. Then they falsely time stamped the 11:30 update for 9:26 am.
They informed me the package would be placed on the afternoon courier and still arrive that day. Still no updates to my tracking page. Had to call 4 times to make sure they were actually delivering it. They said they would call me with updates. No calls the whole day. I never received the package. A final call at 8pm explained that they sorted it incorrectly and sent the package that was located 10 minutes from my apartment to a different shipping center in another city. So I was given a 3rd, and completely different explanation for the issue.
The shipping center claimed in the notes that they tried to call me at 12:30pm to tell me all this but I received no call attempts, no voicemail, and no email. The tracking page is still not updated as I write this. I called at 5:45pm to check on the delivery, and it was still "scheduled for evening delivery" even though the supposed phone call to explain it was not arriving that day was claimed to have been made over 3 hours prior to that. Why it was not reflected in the support notes for the next representative to relay to me I will never understand. It could have saved me a Friday night of waiting around for a package that was never going to come.
All of their explanations were anything but what actually happened. It's one thing to botch a delivery (repeatedly), but it's another transgression entirely to deliberately deceive a recipient that is needlessly waiting all day for an important package and require a full-on interrogation before owning up to a mistake. Sadly, not only am I having to avoid FedEx for personal shipments, but I now have to stop buying things from businesses that contract with them. How could I support such a reckless and chaotic company? You're supposed to be masters of logistics, but you exhibit the organizational capacity of a 4-year-old with ADHD.

In 4 months FedEx have done the exact same thing with both first morning overnight packages to me and to them they think it’s absolutely okay!!! “Stuck in Memphis TN due to WEATHER” and there is NO WEATHER ISSUE AT THE AIRPORT OR IN MEMPHIS. They didn’t text or call and 10:30 am came and went and I sat here and we call at 12:35 and start investigation- as if we should even HAVE to DO that? And then they tell us the above- again! And no weekend delivery and they won’t change invoice due to their horrific business sense to reflect “weekend delivery” so now an overnight package turned into a 5-day freight and I paid $65!!!
DO NOT USE FEDEX ANYMORE- it’s true what they are saying- their reign is over. If you are stuck and have to... only use them if you can ship Mon or Tues- that way when FedEx screw up your shipment again you have a few business days to try to get your package! But seriously, we all now just have to find a replacement for this dated and incompetent company with zero bedside manner and entitlement as their middle name. FEDEX- YOU'RE DONE. HOPE YOU ENJOYED YOUR TWENTY YEARS OR SO REIGN... IT'S OFFICIALLY OVER.

Rather than deliver the 3 boxes to my addres, the driver simply left the boxes at the first house he/she came to in the subdivision. The homes are not even close (1/4 mile separates all three). I now have to wait for the neighbor to get home. In addition, I don't think my vehicle is even big enough to fit the sit-to-stand desk in the trunk of my car. When I chatted with FedEx about the issue, there wasn't a way for them to contact the driver to turn around, pick up the package, and deliver it to the correct address. This isn't even the holiday rush, and they can't even get something this simple right. Far better experience with UPS.

I don't know why it is always an issue with FedEx but judging from their low score I am not alone. Whenever I order something I usually tell the shipper, "Do not send Fedex, if you do then nevermind." It slipped my mind this time because it's been a while since I've ordered anything. Sure enough it's late again and they don't know when it will be delivered. I wanted to contact them to tell them if they cannot deliver it by 3 pm today because I cannot hang out all day AGAIN waiting for them to just forget it and send it back to the shipper. Of course to do that I have to register as a FedEx customer giving them all my personal information like telephone number (who doesn't love robocalls). After all that then I have the option of them sending me my verification number to register at their stupid site. Then I stumbled across this site and see they have an absolute awful customer service score. They really do not care about customer service at all.

I would give it zero stars if I could. So, to start off, we had a package shipped out. We told them the address we needed it shipped to and even wrote the address on a sticky note. They still got it wrong. This package is extremely important as it held my husbands Air Force blues that we needed for a wedding. We paid $50 for two day shipping too. So, they got the address wrong and we didn’t even notice until the day after it was shipped out so we called the FedEx grounds and they fixed the address for us. Easy right? Wrong. So, the next day my husband and I stayed home all day long waiting for this package to arrive. Come 2:50 pm they supposedly came to our door and tried to drop the package off and left a note saying they came and that we “weren’t home”. Mind you, we have all four of our vehicles parked in the driveway, so what made y’all think we weren’t home??
Nobody bothered to knock or anything. They just put the note on the door and walked away. So we call FedEx again between 3-3:30 and they said “no problem. We’ll send out another truck.” (Mind you, we need this package tonight or at the very latest extremely early Friday morning 11/9). The wedding is Friday so we’re pushing time as it is. It’s past 8 pm and still no package. We call FedEx yet again and they say they can’t help us because the store is closed. So now my husband has to track down a truck before the wedding starts, iron his suit, and sew his pins on before noon.
I am FUMING with anger. People at the Schertz Texas Location have been ZERO help and I will be contacting their corporate office. And I will also be asking for that $50 shipping back as well. And not to mention the workers had the nerve to catch attitude with us like we were burdening them. Get it together FedEx this is outrageous and there is no excuse for this. Y’all had FIVE HOURS to send us a replacement truck and you never did.

Two days later (hoping it would be here if we gave them more time) my partner went and asked our normal FedEx delivery person about what could have happened, and bless her soul cause she was straight up honest. "They may not have wanted to carry it up the stairs and could have brought it back to the FedEx warehouse."
I opened a case that afternoon. Woman taking over the case was really sweet and promised to do their best to find it. Following Monday, the other delivery person knocked on my door and said he did bring it to my door. I told him I was home all day and my dogs would have barked just like they were doing as I was talking to him outside. I asked if maybe he took it to the wrong door, he said no. It was an absolutely pointless conversation. I'm not trying to get him to lose his job, I'm just trying to figure out where it went. He added "We don't bring anything back to the warehouse" PFFT.
Called about my case and their rep told me to "Talk to your shipper" before very quickly ending my call. I'm not a rude person, you get better service when you're nice... Okay so my next step was to join FedEx delivery manager and I proceeded to pay 5.25 USD to have my package delivered between 5 pm-8 pm since I wouldn't be home before that time. I received an email saying my request has been accepted. Great. All done... Nope. The morning of delivery I received another email saying my delivery now was rescheduled for the following day so I call FedEx. Spoke to a customer service rep supervisor and I in fact spoke to two supervisors and they both ensured me that the package would be delivered on the day I requested. Well obviously since I'm here writing this FedEx failed again. One thing FedEx is good for is for failure of delivery. They are the worst in the business. Dread when packages come through FedEx. Every single time I get a FedEx package it arrives one town over, only to sit for several days, often up to a week, with a delivery date unnecessarily delayed. It is literally right there. Most frustrating because the same package, coming through regular USPS, will be delivered within one business day or arrival to regional hub. I wish more companies would allow the consumer to opt out of FedEx for home deliveries of items. Their service is truly subpar in comparison to other options.

Oh yeah - the boots I ordered arrived without the store's external box. The delivery person showed up with a demolished shoe box and said the packaging tore apart during shipping. I order a lot of musical instruments/equipment, and I dread every time I see that they are shipped via FedEx. The worst of this: An electric bass arrived in a damaged box with a giant hole in it. When I opened it, I saw that it had a cracked neck. The package was supposed to require a signature, but it was simply left on the front door. Two days later than it was scheduled. Outside of that, I've had about 10 packages in the past two months. Literally none of them have arrived on time - Not a SINGLE package. Multiple times, I've seen a delivery exception for business closed / customer not home, or whatever the exact wording is, when I have most definitely been home.
I work from home, with a window looking out to the front door. There are also cameras on my property. I can say DEFINITIVELY that no FedEx truck even drove by when they claimed that nobody was home. One time, I saw the text come in for delivery exception, and literally saw the truck driving down the street as I looked out my window- again, adjacent to the front door. There was door tag left. I checked the camera footage, and they stopped briefly in front of my house, didn't even get out, and then pulled away without doing anything. Ridiculous.
When I've called, I've had to spend a lot of time working through menus, disconnections, and transfers, and not a single time have I had any better resolution than "we are sorry that you are unhappy with this." I've never had satisfactory resolution from calling them, I've only been able to get relief from good vendors or my credit card company. The scheduled delivery is NEVER accurate. I'm looking at one that is listed as scheduled delivery for today, and of course when I dig down into it, it's actually a state away and it's arriving tomorrow.
I'm honestly left wondering how on earth they actually retain any business whatsoever at this point. From my experience, they have often been more expensive than the competition for the time they claim that they will deliver something, which they have literally never met in the past year... Not a single time. I've never had any issues like this with any other delivery company - even the Amazon couriers here that show up in unmarked cars (the one that's not even the white vans) has been consistently decent. I'm not really sure when FedEx got so bad, but this isn't just one single event... This has been a strong and very consistent pattern of failure. The one thing that FedEx has done well is establish that I never want to do business with them or even talk to them unless there is literally no other option.

FedEx delivered to wrong house a few months ago. Luckily that person brought it to me. Both of our houses are clearly marked with house nos and there’s no way it could have been mixed up. This week again, a package was not delivered to me even though FedEx declared it delivered at 11:34 am. They stated it was left on my front porch which is impossible as there is no access to my front porch, packages get left on my back porch which is where my driveway goes directly to. I was also home at that time and in fact sitting on my front porch.
I drove around to all possible places it might have been delivered with no luck. I do live in the country but I have received multiple deliveries over the years from USPS and UPS and yes FedEx but only FedEx screws up deliveries. I contacted FedEx immediately, they generated a trace and I was told I’d be called back. They never even bothered to call me back. So I called them and was told I’d have to contact the sender (the vendor from which I ordered) and have them file a claim with FedEx. In the meantime I’m out $70 and my yarn I needed for a Christmas gift is not here. I will have to buy it elsewhere, not sure if I can find it at a store as it is expensive special brand yarn. I also will have to pay way more retail than I did online. Who knows if I’ll ever get my money back. FedEx was rude and unhelpful on the phone, obviously not caring. FedEx is the worst!!!!

If you haven't received it by 6 PM - DO call ASAP and keep going up to managers until someone calls dispatch (no one at facility or dispatch after 7 pm). INSIST they call dispatch & INSIST you want your package. Don't hang up until they talk to dispatch and promise to deliver.
Second time this has happened. They promised delivery of my iPhone by 8 pm. Got next day because I am leaving on a trip. Took the day off and waited all day. Finally I called FEDEX at 7 pm and asked about my package (because of other bad experience which I will recount later in this review). The first person I spoke to said there was nothing they could do - the package might or might not get delivered - driver would STOP delivering at 8 PM. They claimed the only info they had was the same as me - that it was put on the truck. Asked for supervisor.
They called delivery facility - which closes at 7 pm though deliveries are until 8 pm - so no answer. Then they called dispatch - which did not answer. Again - they said driver would STOP delivering at 8 PM. Asked for next level supervisor. He claimed driver WOULD deliver package (even though it is past 8 pm). Now it's 9:30 PM - called them back - they have no idea where package is - but say it will not deliver tonight. Not sure where it is or when I will get it. Neither are they, evidently. App still says delivery today by 8 PM - hope they have a time machine!
I had a next day package I needed for a trip previously. Waited all day - sitting in office 20 feet from door. Finally they SAY they tried to deliver - though if they did they never bothered to ring the doorbell. I was ALWAYS less than 20 feet from door. Since it was a Friday, they claimed the camera was locked up in their facility for the weekend, and I could not even pick it up - earliest delivery was Monday, after I would have left. Had to cancel camera order & buy last day before trip for more money - thanks FEDEX!!! DON'T use them if you really need it!

When I checked the tracking it said I was not home, even though I had been here the whole day waiting.
Thursday no delivery. Checked tracking and again it said no one was home. I called FedEx and person was very nice and took notes and gave me a case number. Later that day I was outside and found a door tag in the gate to the side yard, far from either my front or back door. I called FedEx again to tell them about the tag, although I don't know if it was left that day or the day before. A little while later a lady from FedEx called me and said she was my tracking manager, and assured me that they would get it straightened out.
Friday, again no delivery and no tag. At noon I saw a FedEx truck go down the street but it didn't stop. Called FedEx again and this time I was bumped up to talk to a manager, who called the local FedEx while I was on hold. She said that FedEx would deliver the next day and would call to give me an idea of what time of day to look for them.
Saturday, no call, no delivery, no tag. Called FedEx and asked to be escalated. Talked to a manager who finally admitted that customer service could do nothing, that it was all in the hands of the local facility manager. He also told me that the day before, Friday, the package never went out for delivery, that it stayed in the facility the whole day while I was stuck in my house waiting for it. So that's where it stands. For some reason the driver won't deliver and no one at FedEx seems to have the authority to make the driver or the local manager perform their jobs. Not only am I frustrated but the customer service rep asks if I checked with my neighbors to see if they have it. I paid for shipping and handling and now I’m supposed to hunt around for it. Lazy ** didn't knock, ring the doorbell or nothing! I was home all day waiting for this package and now they say it will be delivered tomorrow. I have meetings tomorrow I won't be here. I ordered some parts that were supposed to be delivered on Friday the 12th of October. I set the parts to come to my work because I would be there and generally items arrive earlier. EVERY single time that something has been shipped by Fedex to my home there has been an issue. Another reason I choose to use my work, for the just in case it gets shipped by Fedex. On the items I put shipped to business and the business name to make sure they knew it wasn't a residential home. The item updated Friday saying it was going to be here Saturday. Awesome, being we don't work Saturday. I was hoping they would leave the package outside and I would run up to work and get it. This didn't happen but wasn't a big deal.
My tracking information updated and said next available business day but showed Tuesday. Again, not that big of a deal because I know Fedex ground considers next business day Tuesday through Saturday. Now, today they show attempted delivery was made and that the business was closed. Clearly a bold face lie in that in the front office of my business someone is at the front desk during business hours. No exceptions. This is not to mention I work in the back office and have been here since 0630 as well as over 200 other employees.
So, I call of course to see where my package and why it wasn't delivered. Gives me vague responses and ask if we took lunch. The guy of course doesn't really acknowledge what I am saying but ask if I want it to be brought to a pick up area. I say "of course that way I can at least get the package today 4 days after I should have." He makes the change and then hangs up. This is 1238. I wait to see something update on my tracking, when finally it does saying that the package wouldn't be delivered to the pickup location of the customer service rep recommended place until tomorrow. Truly I do not understand why Fedex or other customers continue to put up with these types of employees.

FedEx have become absolutely incompetent. I never use them by choice and am now at the point where if I order something online and Fedex is the only way it will be delivered, I don't proceed with the order. I have spent the last 4 days chasing 3 packages, all time sensitive (one perishable) that were supposed to be here days before they finally arrived. In one case, I ended up going to the depot to pick it up, as these people don't seem able to deliver a package correctly just 21 miles from my home. They have ONE JOB - get something from point A to point B and that seems to be beyond their capabilities. UPS NEVER have an issue, everything arrives on time and I don't have to make multiple phone calls to chase it down. AVOID FEDEX - maybe they will clean up their act if enough people speak up.

I have just had the most astonishingly terrible customer service at FedEx. I could not even believe at the time, or I should say at EACH time, that this was FedEx. I could not believe that the company operated like this on the backside. When a company's Customer Service department has to transfer you to a Customer Advocate department, you know there's a problem. A company that has the need for both.
I placed an online order, and FedEx was sending it to the wrong address. I called them immediately to correct the address, but the fellow did not properly do so. Called the next day and was told the fellow I now spoke to was correcting the address. He said the person the day before did nothing. The next day my package was delivered to the wrong address. This started a stream of more calls throughout departments at FedEx including Trace, and this company seems to have no accountability, caring for how their customers are treated or the misinformation the incompetence exhibited by the company's staff.
After being told my package had been picked up from the wrong address but that the driver did not know what to do with the package because there were two addresses on it (one which was supposed to be the address to which it was supposed to be correctly sent to), that same station manager told me in the next breath that when the driver went back to pick-up the package from the wrong address, it was gone (ie that it had been taken). Just terrible service across the board, and I do not recommend these people at all!
I asked to speak with a manager. Evidently managers aren't available to speak with at FedEx; the customer service representatives will transfer you to the Customer Advocate department, but they will not give you any identifying information (so no accountability). Alexis in the Customer Advocacy promised me she would call me within 20 minutes so that she could research my situation. She never did. Others Jonathan (in CUURC), Joy in Fort Myers (did not return call - **), Brandon in Fort Myers (totally conflicting information given **) "Manager" Rebecca id or extension ** on 10/1, Dan **. Total incompetence, lack of caring, no follow-through across the board at this company.
Wenchill or something (girl who answered telephone in the Fairfield, CA office - put me on hold for over 20 minutes while she was getting the "manager for me"). She never came back on the line so I had to hang-up and call back. The fellow I then spoke with told me her name and seemed aware that she had left me on hold for that duration of time, but he didn't seem to care. I can't find my note with his name now, but he told me he was a "manager" there - Adam or something. Awful awful awful.

WHY DO PEOPLE SHIP USING FEDEX? I WILL NEVER KNOW. I have been running a business for 9 years now and every time consistently that I have an order that is shipped FedEx it arrives late and takes a ridiculous amount of time to get here. Like a week and a half when the shipment is only one state away. Also the promised ship date always changes to a later date on the day it supposed to be delivered. How is this place still in business??!! It is to the point now that I ask companies to please not use FedEx to ship my merchandise. They must be super cheap to deal with because their service really sucks. Now a two day shipment turned into 5 days. I also have a business and like things delivers when promised and not when FedEx decides it’s convenient for them. I personally do not use them because they are unreliable. The problem is, when I had to buy the new dress, the company I bought it from does not ship for free, so I had to pay for that shipping. FedEx refused to reimburse me for that shipping because it was not through FedEx and I did not have a FedEx tracking number. It does not make sense because I have no control what courier service the dress company uses.
All they kept saying was, "We already reimbursed you for the shipping so we can't reimburse you again for additional shipping." They did not understand that I the new dress had shipping cost too. I sent and paid for shipping supposed to get overseas in four days but was pending because of an error caused by an assistant manager Meghan, Who forgot one very important details not provided of a description of the goods. I came back hoping they could help but instead she insisted and refused to offer help. Put me on the phone and then took a break. Finally, a manager came out and handed me an invoice with no apology and just acted liked it wasn't a big deal.
I have asked her and Meghan to assist and help me but they didn't quite know what to do or just didn't seem to care. I've told them repeatedly that part of that shipment was a back brace that my niece was waiting and needed to wear because her doctor had required her to but because of not having enough money and the third country like Philippines are very limited to this. Not that I wanted them to have compassion or understanding the severity of an error but I think they did not realize the impact of what it caused. It bothers me that this is one of the most important information but neglected to do.
Custom will not release the package if it is not declared and for sure I thought since they work in FedEx this is something they know already and just standard guidelines for every item that they shipped every day. They blamed the computer and they told me that the computer supposed to just generate it but I told her if you didn't type or let the computer know what to do it wouldn't do it by itself. Not only that they can't offer a solution, but the manager and assistant manager also, did not seem to care. How is that for the quality of service???

FedEx lost a package or delivered it to the wrong address. I started a case and was given a case number. Each time I called about the case I spoke to someone different and each person didn't know anything about what was discussed last time. Shortly after hurricane Florence ended FedEx delivered a package to my house. The next package was lost. They sent me an email telling me the package was delivered and signed for but no customer service 'professional' knew the name of the person who signed for it. The excuse I began to get was that hurricane damage had slowed down delivery. This is after one package was delivered and an email said the next was delivered and signed for. That's the stupidest excuse imaginable but I was supposed to believe it. I will not accept any shipment by FedEx whatsoever ever.

I check outside and the printer is in my driveway. Not front door or even side door. Shouldn't get any stars at all. I'm fed-up with FedEx. Had a delivery date of Sept. 27th. Waited all day in the living room where I could see and hear a delivery truck. NOTHING! Tracked and it was in GA just outside Atlanta. Stated would be delivered Sept. 28. Waited all day AGAIN!!! Tracked the package. Stated customer was not available for delivery. Oh, REALLY? Called FedEx, then called company sending package. Was told by FedEx and then by company I ordered from that they promised delivery today, Sat. Sept. 29. Waited all day AGAIN only to discover at the end of the day that there is NO delivery on weekends. Three whole days waiting and watching along with the fact that the driver LIED that I hadn't been at home to receive package.
I was where I could see and hear if a truck had arrived in my driveway and them promising delivery when they knew they didn't deliver on Sat. I needed to go to the grocery store and to a larger town for shopping because I live in a small rural town. Company hires blatant liars. I will have to spend a FOURTH day waiting for a delivery that may or may not arrive. Have to wonder if they've lost my package. I wish there were some way I could send all these complaints to the company I placed order with. I see others too have been lied on that they weren't at home and on the delivery dates given. I live near Wilmington NC. The area was recently affected by Hurricane Florence. My wife and I ordered new phones recently from Verizon. Well, 2 days ago we were told FedEx tried to make a delivery but there was no answer so they held onto the package. However, nobody knocked or rang the doorbell. We received a text saying our package was out for delivery after the failed attempt. So, here we are on day 2 waiting and it is approaching 8 PM and still no package. The day before the package was attempted at 11 AM. So, this seems very cruel to do this to those who need less stress not more. If FEDEX will do this to us after a terrible event I can only imagine what they do to others. This is also not the first time FEDEX has done this. Verizon should be ashamed at how poorly FEDEX reflects on them but they are too busy cutting costs to care I guess. Be cautious when ordering from Verizon due to FEDEX and their terrible customer service.

FedEx promises delivery overnight or in two days. My experience is they never meet those deadlines. There is a great deal of incompetence in management that the company does not address. In particular the management of the Pohakulana Place should all be replaced. I have had five transactions with them and they all managed to not get them to the place where they were addressed to, despite paying several hundred dollars to get them there in time. The Yelp ratings on this location are either 5 or 1, with the vast majority being 1. Anyone with any sense would conclude that the fives were being written by employees and management.

I had called the company several times, and they said, "It will be delivered today at your home." Well the last time I called, which was at 2:35 pm the person on the other end, stated, "Oh he came at 2:30, and was going back to go home." I called back. I was livid with them. I told the person I was at home, had my door open, and no one came to my door or rang my doorbell, neither did he leave a ticket, so I can have to pick it up.
The guy NEVER CAME HERE TO MY HOME TO DELIVER MY PACKAGE, and my dog did not bark! What I think this company does is collect money for the first delivery, then charge the company who has sent the item a second charge, for not being able to deliver the package, because the person was not home. This FedEx company is a scam artist, and I think they need to be looked at very closely, and too, check their records out for scamming companies who pay TOP dollar to have the package delivered next day express, for second day delivery charge. FedEx ground tracking is horrible. Basically it's just a touch better than USPS, which is almost non-existent. Any ground package I get comes with a range of expected delivery dates (Expected delivery: March 3-March 8) and never gets any more specific. The tracking points are sometimes days apart, so I can see it left x facility, but nothing more for days, sometimes up until after it is delivered. My packages are often left at the wrong address or shown as delivered when it hasn't been, or shown as delivery attempted when the driver hasn't even been on my street (I live in a small town and can tell).
I like packages to be left at my door if I am not there (again, small town so we trust each other) but they have some indiscernible process for determining which packages can be left and which can't. I have had no signature deliveries left at my door and not left at my door and I can never get a straight answer as to why. Literally a $10 item was not delivered when I wasn't home, but a $200 was left on the porch. Neither required a signature and were okayed for leaving at the door. UPS has their logistics down pat. I wish FedEx would up their game a little. Thankfully almost all packages I get are UPS.

I ordered a package from Ebay and I have now been wait going on two weeks for them to deliver my package. I know when ordering from someone you are at the mercy of the seller but I try to do everything I can to avoid this company. If I know they will ship with FedEx I will go elsewhere for my stuff. When looking up my tracking number it says in transit to location and it's been like that for 4 days now and the last location is only about an hour and a half from where I live. If I would have known it was going to be like this I would have drove there and got it myself. Yeah how stupid is that you pay to have something shipped and you would be better off going and picking it up yourself.
I did trying calling customer service and all they were willing to do is open a case to "try" and see if they could find my package. But in order to do this they wanted all my information. I just told them to forget it if the best they could do was to "try" and find it. I figured if they have the package they should know exactly where it is, what truck, train or plane the this is on not just guess where it may be. So calling customer service really got me nowhere. So I'm still wait to find out when or if they are going to deliver it. This is the third time they have screwed up one of my deliveries in the last four months. The last one I had $700 worth of stuff delivered to the wrong address. Thank god those people were honest and brought my package to me. Long story short "AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COST." I called on Tuesday to schedule a ground shipping pickup and was told that the package would be picked up Wednesday by 8:00pm. I waited at home the entire day, calling the main FedEx Customer Service Department periodically for any updates. I was always given the same update (including the call I made at 8:13pm), “You are scheduled for pickup today between now and 8:00pm.” My last call of the evening was made at 8:53pm, where I was finally able to transfer to a live person who informed me that Dispatch leaves at 7:45pm and nobody was there to speak to, and now my pickup would be sometime Thursday. So, come Thursday, I waited at home all day again, periodically calling the same number for any updates. Once again, I was given the same information, “You are scheduled for pickup today between now and 8:00pm.”
At 5:44pm, when FedEx had once again never arrived, I called to inquire about the status of my pickup. I was informed that the driver had made a pickup attempt (they absolutely did not). I informed them that I had once again been home the entire day, and nobody from FedEx had been to my house. After being placed on hold for a lengthy period, I was told that my pickup would be Friday. I told them that this was unacceptable and I wanted to speak to a supervisor. I was then placed on hold for 20 minutes, after which time I was told that no supervisor was there, and I was going to be placed on hold again and transferred to another supervisor.
After explaining the situation to this supervisor, I was once again told that my pickup would be on Friday. I stated that I was not going to spend a third day waiting at home for someone to possibly show up, and that I wanted someone from FedEx to pick up my package that day. I was again placed on hold as they contacted Dispatch, after which I was informed that there were no trucks out and my pickup would be on Friday. I told them that I would not spend a third day waiting around, and was instructed to leave the package on my front stoop.
I am shipping a computer, which I would not leave sitting by my front door even if package theft were not an issue, which it definitely is. When I stated that this was not acceptable, I was told by the supervisor that I could take my package to a drop off location. If I wanted to take it to a drop off location myself, I would have done that on Tuesday and saved myself wasted days, a delay in shipping, and a lot of frustration. This call wasted over a half hour more of my time. I honestly cannot believe how unprofessional this national company is and that they do not value their customers enough to make things right when they mess up two days straight. I cannot understand how they are still in business. In the end, I made the trip to the drop off location because I refuse to waste a third day waiting for a pickup that never happens. And they even get the wrong park and deliver there also 1/2 mile away! Their excuse is they printed the label. Not us. So the label sometimes says Sands RV park then my address under it but it never has that address. Only mine and they still deliver it to the wrong park and it is an empty site??? Stupid idiot drivers! See the picture of the last one I had to go get next door. Their address is **. But I see the right address on the label and the idiot driver still took it there! While the outcome of this investigation is terrible in itself, the lack of basic respect and willingness to help speaks world about how FedEx operates.

My package per the tracking has been on the truck for 5 days. The first day it said bad address. Same address as always. Next day said didn't attempt delivery. Yesterday says 3 more days. Walmart order. Disgusted. I complained about the driver a few months ago for leaving packages at my door. My FedEx profile choice is at the leasing office. I feel this is retribution from the driver. I've called the call center twice to be told "this is unacceptable" yet still no package. I don't have a car so I order everything I can online. This package had cat food, toilet paper etc. I had to take an Uber today to buy these things at $15 round trip. I will no longer order from Walmart or any company that uses FedEx.

I wouldn’t have reviewed this company if this only happened once, but since this happened twice I felt I should. In the latter part of December 2015 (1st occurrence) I ordered a cell phone from ATT and FedEx was the delivery company they used. I tracked item and found it had been marked as delivered. It hadn’t been delivered. Of course I had to go through the hassle of calling ATT and FedEx to make sure I wasn’t charged for a phone I didn’t get, thanks to FedEx. Then this past Friday I was expecting a My Pillow order to arrive and I tracked on FedEx site and discovered a delivered status. No delivery was made. Both times we were present and waiting for the packages. FedEx didn’t come either time. I had to go through the same hassle of calling My Pillow and FedEx to report the occurrences. Not only that, but not having the enjoyment of the items I ordered. The phone was a Christmas gift for my daughter and the pillows for a sore neck.

This went on the 11th, 12th, 13th and 14th until I get an email at 8:30pm the 14th saying package has been delivered at my front door but I had not received anything. I track it online and they say package had been delivered to a completely different name and address in a completely different city about 2 hours away. I ordered two items online from different companies recently. Neither package required a signature. First package: I received text messages on Friday, Saturday, and Tuesday saying package would be delivered that day. Friday the driver entered two exceptions at 2:08 PM. Resident unavailable and inclement weather. Saturday no message entered. Tuesday the package was somehow placed in my locked garage. Second package: I received text messages yesterday and today. Not delivered because resident unavailable. No door tags were left at any time. If I don't receive it tomorrow (Saturday) then their next delivery will be Tuesday. Because of the absence of door tags, I don't believe the driver even came to my house. I've called FedEx 4 times about these deliveries. An investigation was promised. Callbacks were promised, but they haven't called. I asked if they could leave at a location where I could pick it up, but the agent refused.

I resent it about a dozen times following no fewer than 10 to 15 calls to supervisors. Finally got notice that shipment was released. Got a delivery window for Wednesday Sept 12 10:30am.
That time came and went. Still no delivery. I waited all day. Then called FedEx and they tell me that it’s still in Memphis!!! But now no one can tell me exactly where it is. No delivery window set. Not having the necessary skills to do something successfully - That is the definition of incompetent. I needed medication delivered to a Bangkok hotel by a certain date. The sender was "guaranteed" it would arrive while I was in the hotel. The delivery timeframe was also written on the package. When I arrived at the Hotel, the package was not there. I looked up the tracking number and saw it was still in Anchorage. I placed a call and was told the plane did not leave Anchorage due to weather.
I cannot believe the plane was grounded for two days in the summer. I worked at the FedEx facility in Newark and those planes always flew, even when passenger planes were grounded due to snow. What did happen occasionally was that a package fell off a conveyor belt and would not be found for a day or two. The FedEx representative told me the package would be returned to my home in New Jersey in three days. Instead, five days later the package was in Thailand and I was told to pay for its return. They have been late more than "On Time" the last few years. But now they blatantly lie even when it's a crucial matter such as medication. This is not the FedEx I was proud to work with 15 years ago. I have a broken wrist, 3 tears in my shoulder and 4 herniated discs in my neck from a car wreck in March. Neurosurgeon wants to do surgery as my neck is "too wiggly" now. I am temporarily disabled. I am in constant pain and stress wondering if I am going to be further damaged. To cheer myself up, I decided to do a makeover of my tiny little condo. I have never shopped online for furniture. Someone said go to Wayfair or Amazon online. I shopped and shopped. I finally found a couch that I liked, excitedly bought it on Amazon. Then the nightmare began. FedEx is delivering my package... except they don't come upstairs, and won't put it in your house. I told them why they would need to bring the couch into my actual house. (Disabled, and a senior). I called and called, then finally, I was told the only way I could get it in the house was to meet the driver and see if I could talk him into it. (I figured that meant to tip him).
After numerous attempts to get a straight answer, the package finally arrived. I had to pay an additional $70.00 to get the couch in the elevator, and into my place, then out of the box, and set up. The installer took the giant box and all the wrapping down to the dumpster. THEN I TRIED OUT the couch. Like a plank of wood. I called Amazon the next day, said I do not want it. Amazon will not interfere with the third party company - the seller- Furniture Mania, or FEDEX. The one and only person at Furniture Mania claims she does not have a supervisor. She is now saying that even though I agreed that I would return it in the original box, she will allow me to return it in a box that I "may happen to have", or I can go purchase one. This starts the whole scenario over again. I will have to hire someone to do all of that for me.
I do not have the desire to ever go back to Amazon, FedEx, and especially FURNITURE MANIA. Now, I have filed an ABC claim, which takes one to two weeks, and they expect me to store their couch here (for free). I have already bought a new couch (local store, their own delivery company), and have scheduled to have my house painted. I want their couch out of here, so it does not get paint on it, and I can put my couch there when it arrives. The part I really do not get is the part where they ignore the problem: that I am disabled, so cannot participate. Is this discrimination? AGEism? I think so.

My father has a Galaxy S3 Gear Frontier smartwatch that he absolutely loves. One night, I got interested in buying one for myself and, after getting the feel of the device from his and doing my research, I ordered one off of Amazon for $250 on Saturday, August 25th. When Amazon said they would ship it with FedEx... I grimaced. Now, it is Friday, September 7th, and now I guarantee that will be $250 dollars I'm most likely never going to see again.
When I ordered it along with the accessories, I thought it would ship along with them, y'know, like a logical person would assume. That Tuesday at my workplace, I got the bands and cases... but no watch. I look to the tracking, and the delivery got pushed back to Thursday. Now, it was Thursday and no sign of FedEx anywhere. I'm watching the streets like a hawk, and nothing shows up. After my shift ends, I look back at the tracking and it got pushed back AGAIN to today. Needless to say, I was getting to the end of my wire waiting for this $250 watch.
Well, it gets to a state over from where I live, and guess what? No, really, I want you to pause reading this review and just take a wild guess at what the FedEx tracking showed me. I'll wait. You done? Well, if you guessed that the expensive $250 package got botched, THEN DING DING DING WE HAVE A WINNER! Yep. FedEx carelessly set fire to my money, needless to say. I mean, who cares, right? Amazon already paid them to ship it, they got their cut, who cares about the owner of the package? $250? Well, they make that by overbilling their unfortunate customers in just one day!
I've heard a lot of horror stories from my coworkers about FedEx, too many to count. Stories of fragile packages being thrown at their front doors, stories of packages arriving absolutely decimated, and if you were on the fence about if these were simply over exaggeration, well I can put your mind to rest because I and several other people in this review section can 100% confirm these stories are true.
Please, please, for the love of all that is holy, if you are shipping something, don't put your consumers through the torture that comes with shipping with FedEx. There's a reason why it's cheap. Also, if you have come under the most unfortunate circumstances in which your package is shipping with FedEx, I IMPLORE you to go ahead and ask for your money back and save yourself some time. The next day, the pkg got delivered & receives automated text message saying that pkg was not able to delivered as a unit # is missing on the shipping address. I had requested for manager at the FedEx location that they have my pkg held at. The manager from the south San Francisco informed me with same excuse & asks if I want to pick up the pkg myself. Told he that I will pick the Pkg myself after work. When arrived at the location after work, the pick up location had no instruction for how the item can be picked & after waiting for about 15 minutes, someone came & asked for the tracking & he had disappeared for about 20 minutes without any update. Other people standing there for their Pkg told me that they have been standing there waiting for someone to look for their pkg for 45 minutes & some waiting over an hour. Asked for the manager & she tells me they are still looking for my pkg. After waiting for another 15 minutes, other guys comes over & ask for tracking # for my pkg again.
When asked where do the 1st who took the tracking # to look for my pkg, the another tells me he does not know. At that point, I just lost my patience & had asked for the manager again but she never showed up but another came back with my pkg after waiting her for almost hour. This location the over FedEx experience was the was & this place definitely needed some serious reorganization as well as there was basically no management or process at all. I both ship and buy a lot online. I've never had much luck with the quality of FedEx shipping so I hesitated to use them. Going against my own instincts because they were cheaper on shipping items via eBay so I thought I would try it again. In around a month, I shipped out to 3 buyers. Each order contained 3 items and each shipment there was trouble. The driver blamed it on FEDEX SOFTWARE so they couldn't enter the tracking information right supposedly although all 3 items in each shipment had COMPLETELY DIFFERENT tracking numbers.
The items would not show up on tracking, the story is too long to tell on here but the last shipment disappeared for days. Showed completely bogus information on the tracking as to the shipment origin etc. Later I went to check my eBay invoices to find that eBay and FEDEX had over billed me on the items because the tracking was entered incorrectly. They On each of these orders, they showed one amount when I shipped and on ONE ITEM in each of these orders, I found out later when I got my invoice from eBay, that they had OVERbilled me around $20-25 EACH on one item in each of these shipments.
Mind you 2 of the items out of 3 in each shipment were identical, came from the same place but when I got the invoice, the charges showed that it would cost 28-32 dollars to ship these items and when I got the bill, they charged me $48.00 for one and 58.00 for the other. I looked back and found they had did it on all 3 orders. Meaning in 3 ORDERS they over billed me around 70.00 total.
They knew they did it. Their rep online even SAID they did it and they REFUSED to give me my money back even though their software over billed me. The rep told me that if they refunded the money it would go back to eBay instead of me that I would have to get EBAY to do it and eBay said that FEDEX got the money not them. Basically they are committing OVER BILLING FRAUD. If you sell on eBay you should check every invoice and copy it to make sure they aren't stealing from you.
The story continues. I order all the time from WALMART online grocery shopping. At least once or twice a week. I complained to FEDEX over and over about my packages disappearing and then this overbilling issue. I complained to the drivers because all of my items since around that time come to me damaged or torn all to pieces. I've complained to Walmart and they've documented it over and over.
I don't know why Walmart won't give us a choice of shippers. I am going to continue to order from Walmart. It's not their fault that FEDEX employees apparently don't care how they treat your items and have no respect for other people's property. It's just sorry how they treat their customers and even while they admit that they've over billed me on these items, they still refuse to refund my money. That's theft and it needs to be looked into by Some kind of government agency. If they did it to me, no doubt they're doing it to other people.
As far as their destructive behavior. I don't know how they stay in business doing things like this and I don't know how they allow their employees to treat people's merchandise entrusted to their care like this and worse of all, I don't know how they get away with overbilling customers which is fraud. They even admit they did it and refused to give me my money back. I felt I had no recourse but to warn people.
If you own a business, I suggest you use another shipper and if Walmart wants to have any success with their Online shipping and grocery departments, they should strongly consider giving their customers another shipping option. I would pay extra to be given another choice. Even if it cost me an extra $5.00 a shipment, I would gladly pay it to NOT have to have FEDEX ship my items.
Lastly, I'm going to post a review every time they destroy my property from here on out to warn other businesses and people and make them understand how this shippers' employees have continually abused my merchandise and let people know that they should check all of their invoices done through EBAY BILLING for FEDEX. You're probably going to find some billing fraud going on. I shipped with them 3 TIMES in around a month and ALL 3 TIMES, they ripped me off of around 20-25 dollars. As you can imagine, I won't be using them any longer and if WALMART would give me a choice, they wouldn't be bringing my items either. Until then, Walmart chooses to replace the items so I'll have to put up with it because quite apparently, nobody cares about what their customers think.
