I wish I could give it zero stars. First of all does the FedEx in Jamaica have any control at all over packages sent from the United States to Jamaica via their courier? I sent a box with four items valuing less than 100USD and the package was held for weeks almost a month before my parents could receive it. The delay was not due to Covid; instead for some reason which showed that they had little control over what happens to packages after they arrive there. What's even worst is the items I sent were to aid in treating my parent's health condition. This was just the worst experience I've had.

My courier was shipped from Hopkinton 1 month back and till time I have not got any update about it after too many calls and emails. After 1 month they are asking me to come and collect from another city, which is far from my city and not guiding me properly. They didnt inform sender that the destination address is out of the coverage area of FedEx and accepted the shipment and till 1 month I have always got the answer that my shipment is going to be delivered today or tomorrow on urgent basis.

The following day I checked the FedEx website only to find a notice a delivery exception stating that FedEx had attempted delivery Sunday morning and were unable to complete the delivery because no one was home and the delivery would be rescheduled two days later. The Sunday delivery attempt by FedEx was made on an unscheduled day with no notice of the change. At this point I do not trust FedEx service and not willing to risk wasting another day waiting for them. I am in process of making arrangements to pick up the package myself at a local FedEx facility.

I moved into a new house and I called to provide my new current address. Despite how many times I gave my street address and how many times I use examples and how many times and spelled it, representatives are untrained and uneducated and they still kept misspelling the first word to my street. Word is "Cotton" they kept putting "Cartune". How stupid! Doesn't even sound alike. Caused my delivery to be put off a whole week!! The driver couldn't find it, of course. Keep lying and putting FAKE delivery dates to pacify the customer. Changed my delivery date 5 or 5 times!! My pkg remained with FedEx for 2 weeks waiting to be delivered. They need to retrain their reps and send to back to school you learn how to spell.
I called every single day for 2 weeks! Each representative that have talked to claim that they were correcting the spelling of the street name. All those Reps don't do anything but lie and tell you anything that they think you want to hear. Every single time I call back the rep that claimed that they had corrected the spelling had not corrected it!! No movement, no tracking for days!! Spoke with Managers every single day!! Still they couldn't get my info right. So sad how they just lie and tell the customer anything to get them off the phone. This company needs to def retrain its Reps!! Wish I didn't have to deal with them...ever!!

Twice, FedEx in the past 2 months has delivered packages to the wrong address, then threw them on my driveway down by the curb. This time, they left if on the sidewalk at my home. I have never seen such poor delivery processes. This is unlike their performance last year, when they were good. They have now fallen so far down, I will never use them again. If something is important, do not use them for delivery. It is a risk and you will be unhappy with the results!

FED EX failed to deliver a chair for my daughter who is taking her classes at home. For over 10 days it was stated it was on a truck for delivery. When I called fed ex I was very cheerfully told it was over 7 days with no change in status and that it was my responsibility to contact the seller. Fed Ex appeared to take no ownership and exonerated themselves of any responsibility. I was less than impressed with the service they were supposed to provide.

I ordered a camera from a company in New York. It was shipped on Sept. 16, 2020 and delivery was scheduled for Sept. 19. I am required to sign for it. I waited at home all day on the 19th and it didn't arrive. When I tried to track it the only response is "in transit". I live in Raleigh, NC and on the 19th it was in transit to Durham, NC which is about fifteen miles away. Then, all night and until 3:40 on the 20th it is listed as "in transit" from Durham to Morrisville, NC which is about six miles from my house. I have seen FedEx trucks in my neighborhood today, the 20th. But none stopped at my house. I called FedEx and spoke with an agent but got no additional information. The status is that delivery is undetermined. It seems that FedEx either has no idea what is going on or knows and won't tell me. I am very annoyed that I am stuck at home to sign for a package that may not arrive from six miles away and they won't give me any useful information.

I ordered a wall-charging unit for my Tesla. FedEx had it in their possession on a Saturday. On Tuesday it finally left their terminal in Tracy, CA. It made it as far as New Mexico on Wednesday, but on Thursday morning, was back in Tracy, CA! It’s now Saturday, one week later, and it is right where it started. Worse than that, in my opinion, the customer service reps straight-up lie, or just confabulate. Thursday, when the package had returned back to CA, the rep said it would still arrive on Friday as scheduled in NC as he had access to internal scans the consumer could not see!
On Friday another rep told me she could not see anything more than I could. She said it would be here Monday “guaranteed”, although the package on Saturday is sitting in its terminal of origin on the other side of the country. Now it’s going to be an overnight service when it hasn’t moved in one week? I received someone’s golf clubs a few weeks ago. My daughter had a chair she ordered “lost”. Someone needs to hold this company accountable. They are now far worse than the USPS for God’s sake!

Ordered a $360.00 tailgate for my truck which was being shipped from Texas. On 09/16/20 I received a text that stated my package was on the truck for delivery. I see the FedEx truck pull outside my residence and immediately open the garage door and walk out to meet the driver to see if he needs help, he never gets out of the truck and leaves. I get another text 5 minutes later that advises "an attempt was made to deliver the package but the driver could not make contact and another attempt would be made on 09/17/20. Waited around all day and no package came.
Finally get through to FedEx and the lady tells me what I already know but also states that I put a hold on the package? I explained to her that I did not put a hold on the package nor would I know how. She was very nice and advised she was putting notes in and she guaranteed the package would be delivered on 09/18/20. I told her, "I'm sorry but I don't believe you," needless to say the package was never delivered.
I again called FedEx and was told all the same information once again but this time he added the package could be delayed a week because of the virus??? I told him that may be the standard answer but not for this case since an attempt was supposedly tried. He refused to answer me when I asked where the package was at this time. I finally told him not to deliver, I would not accept the package and send it back to the shipper. Contacted the shipper and explained what was going on. It's a shame they lost a 360.00 sale because of FedEx. I will never deal with them again. It must be noted I live in a small community with 200 homes directly off the road. The driveways are 20 to 30 feet long and we are retired so are always home.

I had a package for a pre-ordered item. I have a FedEx account and I have updated my details there. Hell, my address can be googled and it'll provide pin-point location. Fedex was unable to find my address. I live in downtown Seattle but apparently that's an obscure place according to FedEx. On 09/13/2020 the package was shipped. On 09/15/2020 I got an exception "Shipping Manager is unable to find the address, contact the communication center". I contacted the communication center and informed them of the issue, the representative told me all was taken care of they'd attempt redelivery that day or the next. I pleaded for attempting redelivery that day. The representative said they'd try. No attempt was made on 09/15/2020.
On 09/16/2020 I was expecting the re-delivery, but I get an update "Unable to deliver shipment, returned to shipper", no delivery attempt made, no attempt to contact me, no attempt to provide me options to pick up from the Fedex office or center. Nothing. My pre-order item is going back and I have to kiss goodbye to all the pre-order benefits amounting to around $200. Thank you Fedex.

Over a period of 6 weeks, a certain subcontracted driver started on our FedEx route. 4 times in a row, the driver has driven over a garden border, damaging it each time. He also comes close to hitting the carport. No other drivers have this maneuvering issue here. He even harassed the elderly semi-feral cat that spends some time on our porch, angrily telling the cat to go away and shoving a 15 lb box at him. The driver had also been keeping our packages on his truck for days at a time, showing on tracking as "no delivery attempted due to local weather", when we were not having bad weather. One of those times, the driver HAD been at my home. He was on camera, digging around in his truck for 5 minutes, then left, running over my garden border on the way out, again.
I filed an initial complaint with a rep by calling the main contact number on the website 1.800.463.3339, and was given a reference number and was told a local rep (Concord, NC) would call me, which he did. He gave me his direct phone as well as email address, so that I could send descriptions, photos, & videos, which I did for the separate times damage was done. He also said "claims" would be contacting me, and they have not. He said that the driver was a "contractor" driver and that he'd contact the driver's manager.
After the 2nd time the damage happened, the FedEx rep assured me that the driver would be removed from my route and that my address is flagged for drivers not to drive into the driveway, they are to walk the packages to my door. Apparently, this was all to get me to shut up, since the same driver has delivered 2 more packages here, from various retailers, damaging my garden border each time. There is plenty of maneuvering room and as I said before, no other drivers have this issue here. The rep did not respond to my last voicemail or to my last email, and that was almost 2 weeks ago.
I am always polite in my correspondence, so that cannot be a reason to ignore me. He also said after the 1st complaint "claims" would contact me, but they never did. Because of all this, I have stopped buying from companies that use FedEx. I have to protect my property and any animals that could be harmed. I have also contacted my favorite retailers, letting them know why I am no longer buying from them. They have all been apologetic, but claim to be stuck in an exclusive contract with FedEx and some have stated regretting the contract, stating that their own complaints have been ignored. Sounds as if FedEx is becoming a nightmare for retailers AND their customers.

My MacBook was scheduled to arrive today. My home is flooded and I’m staying elsewhere. I waited in my driveway in my car for 2 hours ( over an hour outside delivery time). I watched the FedEx driver pass my house and go down the street to a neighbors. I was hopeful thinking that when he left, he’d stop and I can finally go home and get my homework done.
Wrong. He passed my house and left. I Refreshed my tracking status and it said that he made a delivery attempt and I wasn’t there. Obviously that wasn’t true. I was online with an agent and she told me to verify the presence of a door tag. There wasn’t one because he zoomed past my house without looking back. She said she would contact the station and have him sent back. The next thing I know, someone else by another name is telling me that it’ll come tomorrow.
I wasted time, drive 1 hour round trip, and paid several tolls to pick up a scheduled high value item. FedEx showed zero accountability in the negligence and lack of customer service during this feeble attempt to resolve my issue. Thanks for letting me vent. I already know how this is going to end. Can’t believe people are really claiming to attempt delivery and not step foot outside the trucks.

One package has been sitting at my local FedEx office for 4 days and each time I call I am told they are extremely behind and it's sitting on a trailer. They won't even permit me to come pick it up myself. Each day the status says it will be delivered that day but never arrives. When I called, I spoke to 2 robots who were very fake and insincere, who kept repeating the same sentences and they could not provide any other answers because they did not have any information and were there to follow company policies and procedures. They clearly stated that they did not care one bit that the package was damaged and were there to sound like robots to just get paid by Fedex and follow the company policies and procedures. Imagine what those policies and procedures are! This delivery service is very expensive, and yet it cannot deliver on its promises and services. I'm a loyal FedEx customer. Therefore I choose them to ship my boxes and luggage to Europe, but I'm so DISAPPOINTED with their service. My luggage containing all my clothing never made it to the end destination. The only information FedEx gave me about the whereabouts of my luggage is that they don't know where it is, that it's lost, and cannot do anything about it. Besides, FedEx made me feel foolish for using their service to ship luggage instead of a box since they are just capable of shipping boxes. So, why did you accept my luggage to be shipped in the first place?
Furthermore, FedEx declared items to German customs I don't possess. After submitting an objection form to the German customs, they explained that I have nothing to with this issue since I didn't fill out the customs form, it was FedEx who did it, and they are accountable for it. I tried to resolve the issue with FedEx since I don't want to pay customs for items I don't possess. All I got in response was a letter from the collection agency demanding to pay double of what the original bill was.
Overall, I had a very BAD experience with FedEx. Until this day, I'm still waiting to hear about my missing luggage, and now I have to pay for items I don't possess. I will NEVER use FedEx again. I'm so in shock about their MALPRACTICE. I will not recommend them anymore as I used to do. They lost a valuable customer, and if they don't change their MALPRACTICE, they will lose more customers.

The security system is state of the art and clearly captures the street and entire building front. Two minor packages were delivered without incident two days prior but the expensive package was “Lost at North Wales Pa warehouse when my shipper contacted Fedex. Dishonest and very unreliable The offshore customer service is not honest and offers no assistance! I was told”Delivery made You deal”. So much for company professionalism. Buyer beware. I was sent an email earlier today saying package out for delivery. So I stayed home to assure I was here since it was a costly item and a decent size package. As time passed I checked the status and it showed the driver had attempted delivery but no one was home (lie!) I was sitting in the living room, front door AND garage wide open.
So then I spent 29 min on the phone with customer service. They cannot tell me where my package is, or who the driver is, and want me to sit here again all day tomorrow to try another attempt. I ask for them to just hold the package and I will pick up personally at the facility tomorrow. They want to drop it off at a DOLLAR GENERAL STORE that's affiliated with FedEx!!! I told them no and I spent another 15min to get them to take it to an actual Fedex store that will eventually contact me tomorrow when the package is available! I will avoid FedEx at all cost in the future cause I've NEVER had this problem with UPS deliveries and I order items online weekly!

I live in a rural, forested area surrounded by wildlife. This requires that I receive larger packages in a delivery box located next to my mailbox. Otherwise local animals destroy the package shortly after its arrival. I regularly receive UPS, USPS, and even freelance contractor deliveries. Only Fedex fails to place my packages in the giant delivery box. I have had food packages and medical packages destroyed three times this year simply due to the negligence, incompetence, and outright dishonesty in the latest case of their driver(s). Yes, my medical supplies were destroyed, but when I investigated, I was informed by my supplier that Fedex had claimed to have delivered the package directly to a household member. In reality, they tossed the box out of the truck about 50 yards from my house leaving it out in the open where it was chewed into bits by animals.

I would love to know why I have to sit and wait for a delivery all day only to learn that it's not on its way even though the tracking says it is. I usually don't find out until 9pm on the day the package is supposed to be delivered that my item won't be there until the next day. But then that often times turns out to be a lie. And to make matters worse, the box that I received today, two days late, has been torn to shreds and taped up again. The Target tape was ripped up as though someone had opened it. I have a problem with a missing pkg. The pkg was coming from outside the United States and made it to the FedEx office on 08/11/20 and was set out for delivery at 10:30 AM on that very day, I waited all day to receive my pkg, but later found that it was rescheduled for the following day 08/12/20. Therefore, I waited for the second day.
On the third day, I called the 1-800-463-3339. In response, I was told that I have case managers with names such as “Ana, Diana, David" that they are working on in my case due to customs issues. Immediately I asked the agent "what was the issue with custom and that what I have in the pkg are ladies’ dresses for my sister's wedding coming up". As such, the agent promised that my case managers will call me back.
I waited all day for the callback, then I called the 1-800# again, at this time, I was told that they received my pkg but the label fell off, and in order to prove that the pkg is mine, that I should send pictures of the waybill, the box size and the items inside it to pictures@fedex.com, of which I did.
On August 28, 2020, I received a voicemail that they found my pkg, then I called them back and I was provided with a new tracking number. According to the tracker the pkg arrived at FedEx Ship Center with the address “7250 E 90th St, Indianapolis, IN 46256” on Saturday, August 29, 2020.
With so much excitement, I quickly drove to the ship center to pick up my pkg, on getting there, I was told that they have a different name and address on the pkg. At that point, I called the 1-800# again, and the agent told me that they will call their trace department and that they are going to change both the name and the address immediately, that it was a mistake from their trace department. Also, I told them to keep the pkg at the ship center that I would like to pick it up by myself on Monday, August 31, 2020.
On getting to the ship center today Monday, August 31, 2020, they said the pkg has been delivered to someone else. I was outrightly deceived NUMEROUS times. Unfortunately, I read reviews about FedEx after I found myself as their victim. I just realized that I am not lone, they have done this to so many people, and they keep doing it. Based on their rating on Better Business Bureau (BBB) as A+, people keep believing in them. This is highly deceiving!
My pkg with the shipping fees it's over $5000, they said the sender who is outside United States should file a claim, she tried to file a claim online the system redirected her to call the 1-800#, each time she tries to call, they will put her on hold for over 20 minutes, then disconnected the line, she pays a lot to call United States. She was highly surprised that such fraudulent act could be going on in such a reputable organization with their head office in United States.

So according to them my life must come to standstill for four more days for them because their driver did not want to come to the door to see if anyone was home on the delivery day. I contacted Dell and they said there was nothing they could do. I could not even go to the delivery facility to pick up the package. This is so customer unfriendly. To be continued.
Original Review: I have been missing work, three days now because I need to sign for package FedEx cannot seem to get to me. The first day the driver claimed I was not home, which I was. He did not even come to the door. He did not show up in any of the video for my front door camera. The second day I thought it was going to be delivered, at least that is what tracking said. Found out it was never loaded on the truck. They are going to deliver it on the third day, supposedly.
I have to be somewhere and now I have to stay home once again. Three days of missing work. I feel FedEx should reimburse me for lost time. They should now be the ones to get the package to me when I am there to accept it. I have already called customer support but they are limited by what they can do. Need someone higher up to address this.

The last 2 packages I had delivered within the past 4 months were left on my driveway (clearly visible from the street) and not on my front porch. The current package I have been waiting for shows in tracking as "In transit" at the FedEx warehouse (30 min from my home) for 5 days.

Confused?? Yeah, me too!! Have fun trying to contact them and wait for them to do anything about it. I have another order, that unfortunately is being shipped by FedEx, so I was forced to route it to a Walgreens, since I have no faith in them getting it right. I'm also forced to contact any place I order online from to ask them to use UPS or USPS.

Are they lost? I suspect foul play. I avoid FEDEX if there is a shipping option because FEDEX cannot be counted on.

I ordered a book for school on a Thursday and was given the time frame of it arriving by Tuesday the next week. The book never arrived so three days later from the it was supposed to be delivered it is now Friday. I went on to check the tracking and was told my package will be delivered by the end of the day at close of business. I had an exam to take by Sunday and was counting on the book arriving so I stayed home all day waiting on the shipment. By 9pm checked the tracking again and it said there was no update to when my package would be delivered. The package was 45 mins away in a familiar city that I was willing to just drive and pick it up at this point. Saturday morning I called and was told the location was closed and they do not deliver on the weekends. So beyond stressed about this and the fact that the service is horrible.

My package was delivered to my neighbor. We both have address numbers clearly on the front of the house. The neighbor chose to open my package, stabbed the contents twice and then threw it on my lawn. The items were on my lawn as well as she cut the end of the box. The shipping label is very legible. I don’t know how the driver didn’t match the numbers up. I’m now out of $65 worth of dog food that I expected to arrive much sooner than it did because it was at my neighbor's house for some time & it had hundreds of ants coming out of the hole she stabbed in it. Meanwhile, I had to go to the store last minute to purchase the same order again so I could feed my dogs. Can’t trust anyone anymore???♀️

Since we took care of absolutely NOTHING, I pressed 1. Now the machine says: "Thank you for improving our service by rating us. Goodbye!" and the machine hang up on me. My 2 most recent dealings with FedEx: shipping a package by priority overnight on Saturday, to arrive by Monday at noon. Very urgent that it arrived on time. Was guaranteed delivery by the FedEx person who took the package, "no problem". It arrived on Tuesday afternoon. Tried to get through to FedEx to find out what happened and get reimbursed for the extra money spent on priority overnight delivery and got disconnected after a 30-minute wait. The other event was receiving a delivery.
They changed the delivery the day of the delivery to the next day, but no one was going to home in the morning so I called and was told "no problem", will be delivered after 1:00. It was delivered at 9:00 a.m. A $400 package and they left it in front of my apartment in a bad neighborhood. No signature was required by the shipper, they said. My husband had to walk out of his doctor's appointment to go home and get it. I have found this to be very typical. They make promises they can't keep, they are almost impossible to get on the phone and are full of excuses or just disconnect you when you complain about their terrible service. Go with UPS or USPS, at least you'll save money.

At 10AM Saturday 8/15, I received a text message from FedEx stating "Signature req'd by someone at your address for package delivery, fedex.com/t/395763675393/en US". I stayed home all day waiting for the package. Around 9 PM I checked the tracking and the following statement was there: "We made a delivery attempt: 08/15/2020 PM". I have camera's covering the road, driveway, and entrance to my house- THERE WAS NO DELIVERY ATTEMPT, NO FEDEX TRUCK OR DELIVERY MAN ON MY CAMERA HARD DRIVE, AND I WAS HOME.
I called a FedEx rep afterwards and he made no attempt to state that a delivery attempt was made. He told me that I could pick the package up at the facility at 22511 E. Dardin Rd, Arlington, Tx. on Monday at 8AM. I drove thirty minutes to reach the facility and there was a phone with a sign stating pick up the phone and it dials automatically and just give the tracking number to the Rep.-nobody answered for 15 minutes so I left. I called FedEx rep again and could not even get an answer as to why nobody answered the phone for FedEx parcel pickup. She did tell me that the package was on the truck at 7AM out for delivery.
I am not upset because I did not get the package Saturday but rather because I stayed at home all day waiting for a package that was never attempted. Rather obvious that the rep that told me that I could pick up the package Monday knew all along that the package was going to be on the truck and I was wasting my time. I ordered another MacBook Pro before I left for Arlington which I would not have done if I had known I was going to be making a wasted trip to Arlington FedEx facility. I am supposed to get delivery sometime today. It got delivered at 1:15.

I have been waiting for FedEx to deliver a package which was suppose to have been delivered Friday, 14 August. I have checked the tracking number again today, 16 August as a FedEx Ground truck just stopped at our home but did not deliver the package. A FedEx Ground truck also drove past our home yesterday, 15 August while I was outside but never stopped. Amazingly, in the tracking information, it says no one was available to receive the package on Saturday, 15 August. This is a LIE by FedEx as this is a private residence and we were here all day Friday, Saturday and today! Now it says they will not deliver the package until Tuesday, 18 August. Why will they not deliver the package Monday, 17 August? There are 3" street numbers directly above our porch so there is no reason why they cannot deliver this package.
I also had an issue with FedEx last week as I called them to pick up a box which was date sensitive and had a pre-paid label. I called to arrange pick up and received a confirmation number. I was told it would be picked up the same day, 11 August by 5 PM. I placed the box on our porch that morning. The box was not picked up and I called FedEx to inquire why. First, I was told I had not made arrangements for pick-up. The customer service person (yes, a real person) then changed her story and told me the box was not on the porch so the driver left. Again this was another LIE by FedEx. The box WAS on the porch.
Customer Service then gave me a new confirmation number stating the box would be picked up on Wednesday, 12 August by 11 AM. Again no one came to pick up the box, so again I called FedEx. Now I am told the box will not be picked until that afternoon by 5 PM. I felt I could not rely on FedEx, so I made a special trip and drove 18 miles each to take my pre-paid box to a store which offered FedEx pick up service and handed the box to a human being. FedEx has lousy service and tells you nothing the LIES to cover their butt. They do not deserve even 1 star!

So, I ordered a part on 2 day ground delivery that was, per FedEx tracking, supposed to be delivered on 31 July 2020. Never delivered. I figured I would give them a little extra time due to COVID 19 issues, as per their website. I called FedEx on 2 August and was told all they could do was was send to their "CAT" team and the person I spoke with could only tell me that it was supposed to be at the Durham NC shipping center which is less than 2 hours from my residence. It had been there for 2 days. It was a part that weighed less than 1/2 a pound. No reason or explanation for why it was sitting for 2 days undelivered.
I called again on 3 August and spoke with a "manager" named Debra who was very apologetic and said she did not know why it was waiting for delivery as it was a small part and there should have been no problem getting it on a truck. She said she was contacting the center as we were speaking and I should have it by 4 August, no problem. Guess what, no delivery. 5 August the tracker says it is scheduled for end of day delivery. So FedEx truck pulls up across the street from our house on 5 August about 3:30pm. Driver gets out of truck, goes to back of truck for about 8 minutes (we timed it), then gets back in truck and drives away without any delivery. I guess they just wanted to torture us with false hope. So, 5 August still no delivery. Absolutely no help from their 'Customer Service' which is a sick joke. I don't expect I will ever get the part, and if I do it will probably be broken.

I will never use FEDEX shipping or purchase from SELLERS using FEDEX anymore. Recently I was expecting 2 separate deliveries. I was told 5 times in a row that my delivery was due “today” 5 days in a row, finally ending with “no delivery scheduled”. It was 6 days past delivery when delivered. Unfortunately, my very next delivery was to be from FEDEX a few days later (UGH!). Again, I have received 5 delivery dates, but no delivery... now “no delivery scheduled”. Tried the FEDEX virtual assistant & the 800#. They requested the delivery #. When provided, they did not “get that, please repeat”. When repeated, ditto.
The 3rd attempt got me hung up on. Still no item, and apparently no recourse. WORST DELIVERY SERVICE EVER, with NO CONCERN for customers. I intend to report this to the company sending these items. If you want decent & sometimes OUTSTANDING service, try USPS or UPS... far more trustworthy & efficient. Our USPS is actually pretty close to OUTSTANDING & definitely efficient & caring. They mess up every now & then but are right there to make it right!! I don‘t know how they have stayed in business. This is not new, been bad for several years (my experience anyway). The way I remember it FedEx was the company that practically invented fast delivery service, and for many years it had a great reputation. Remember Tom Hanks' role in "Cast Away" as a FedEx manager worried about maintaining their reliability and timeliness? Well times have changed, and this is no longer the "when it absolutely, positively has to be there overnight" but more of a "when it probably, ideally should arrive some time this month" kind of company.
I get lots of packages delivered from various sources, including Amazon and Wal-Mart, and I cringe whenever I see that FedEx is providing the delivery. Let me give you an example of my latest experience to explain why. I recently ordered a "knee scooter" to be used by my wife who had foot surgery (so quick delivery mattered), and was supposed to get two-day delivery. Sure, I know the Covid situation and increased online ordering has slowed shipping times, but what happened can't be blamed on that.
On the day of scheduled delivery day and with the package listed as "out for delivery", a FedEx truck pulls up in front my house, and sits there for 3-4 minutes while the driver is in the back presumably looking for my package. Eventually, though, he gets back into the driver's seat and drives away... without ever having delivered anything. And late that afternoon the package status changed back from "out for delivery" to "At local FedEx facility", so apparently it WAS on the truck and just didn't get found and delivered. And let me tell you that when it did eventually arrive (not that day, obviously) I realized it was no small package, so it's hard to see how it got missed.
This wasn't my first negative experience with FedEx and I'm sure it won't be the last. In fact I'm waiting for a package from them as I type this, and we'll see how it goes. If you have an option of who to use, though, I'd urge you to pick UPS or even... dare I say it... the US Postal Service, both of which seem to provide better service these days. And let's face it: it's a pretty sad commentary when someone compares you unfavorably to the USPS.

I was amazed that Fedex could offer a “1 to 2 day collection from the USA to the U.K.”. I had no idea how they could achieve this miracle! As it turns out, neither did they... Using the online tracker, I spent the next 9 days following its near random (but generally in the wrong direction) tour of the American States, until it was eventually put on a plane, to arrive in the U.K. around 9 or 10 days late. On the positive side, at least I eventually received the parcel which I had thought I would never see again.
Then came the nasty surprise of Fedex overcharging me for VAT/import duty. On their instruction, an invoice was attached to the parcel to show the goods value of $200 (around £170 at the then current exchange rate). They then ignored that and charged me VAT/Import Duty (they never would specify which) based on the £400 insurance cover sold to me by the shipping agent! I challenged this and they eventually relented and charged me based upon £200 (not the correct value of $200). Again, I disputed the overcharge and asked them to clarify if this charge was for VAT or Import Duty.
My first email resulted in a copy invoice identical to the invoice I’d disputed. My second invoice resulted in a further copy invoice, a copy of my previous email, a copy of the $200 invoice from the package and some completely irrelevant copies of other documents. My third and fourth email remain unanswered to date, even after waiting for two further weeks from sending the fourth email. FedEx are now blacklisted for all future business.

God help you if FedEx ever mis-delivers your package. The claims process is an absolute nightmare. They have even admitted that the package was delivered to the wrong address and attempts to recover it were unsuccessful, yet 6 weeks later, several phone calls and emails later, here I stand with no resolution. First I was asked to file a claim over the phone. When I called in to follow up on that claim and why I had not heard anything, I was told that I needed to fill out a physical claim form and send it to claims.status@fedex.com. I did this on 7/1 and received a confirmation email saying "Fedex has receiver your email - Reference # **."
Fast foward 2 weeks and I get a letter in the mail saying my claim was denied. "Under the terms and conditions governing this shipment, FedEx does not accept liability where supporting documentation is not "verifiable to our satisfaction". After a careful review, we could not verify some or all of your supporting documentation." After receiving this letter I called in and was transferred to claims department to find out what exactly this meant and what verifiable documentation they were lacking from me. I was placed on hold for over an hour and then transferred to a voicemail for the claims department. Needless to say, they never returned my call after leaving a very detailed message with the information.
I called again the next day an hour before claims closes, was transferred to claims and sat on hold for nearly 2 hours before I gave up, knowing that they had closed nearly an hour ago at that point. Finally day 3 I get a hold of someone and am told that it was denied because they did not have my claim form. They did have the label and proof of value that they had requested though, which ironically were sent as attachments in the same email the claim form was sent in. So I was instructed to send the claim form in again via email and did so on the spot. They said they couldn't confirm whether the email came or not and to call back in 2-3 days. This was 7/22.
I called today 7/30 to give them ample time and yet they still say they have not received it and asked me to send it again. I was transferred to tech support which was no help, then a customer advocate who was absolutely useless and told I need to call back tomorrow first thing in the morning to make sure I get through to claims before they close. I don't know about you, but I don't have time to spend an entire day on hold trying to track down something that I've done twice already.
This is the worst experience I've ever had with trying to get a real person to help with something. It's just a huge tangled web of red tape with no way to get an actual resolution. The only people that can resolve it for you are hidden behind a barricade of other people that will transfer you endlessly to other people that can't help you and will keep you from talking to the people you need to so you can get actual resolution. I'm sure they do this just so people will give up and they don't have to pay out on their claims and I wonder how often this happens. I'm beyond disappointed that their customer service is this bad. Unbelievable.

FedEx has really gone downhill as a company. I don't know what their problem is, but they are not doing their jobs well at all! I live in an apartment building with locked security entrance doors. I don't WORK here; I LIVE here. I am a 64-year-old woman. Before the Covid-19 pandemic, To BE NICE AND HELPFUL, I would always let the FedEx driver in to the building to deliver to OTHER tenants. (My apartment is right beside the front door, and has a patio, so they don't even need to go in the building for MY deliveries; they can leave them right on my patio.) The driver was SO UNGRATEFUL AND RUDE that I always really regretted even helping this jerk at all, I did, because of who I AM; not HIM.
When the pandemic started, I knew I was high risk (for death, etc.) so I posted a sign that said I was no longer willing or able to RISK MY LIFE to come close to the driver to let them in for other peoples' deliveries. It is a VERY HEAVY FRONT DOOR, so the driver had to be right by me when I opened it to push it with their strength, therefore breathing right on/at me, etc. He saw the sign, when he delivered a package to me but also had one for a neighbor and he wanted me to let him in as usual. I refused. I said NO OTHER TENANTS DELIVERY IS WORTH ME DYING FOR if I get Coronavirus letting the delivery guy in when it isn't even my package.
Rather than care about my health and safety, after he had ALREADY been VERY RUDE AND UNGRATEFUL every time I HAD helped him, which was MANY TIMES, up until HIS point, he TOOK MY PACKAGE off the patio where he had delivered it there, and started taking it (away from me!) back to his truck with the neighbors that he could NOT deliver now. He ONLY brought it back to me after I said I AM CALLING FedEx! But then, he told me to let him in and I STILL REFUSED, so he SPIT AT ME! That is a REAL BIOHAZARD during the COVID-19 pandemic! I was a wreck for 2 weeks while I waited to see if I would get sick or die from his doing that to me! I said to him 'That's the way you TREAT ME after ALL the times I DID help you and you NEVER EVEN THANKED ME? I never even HAD to do ANY of that, for you, AT ALL!' He just sneered at me.
I called FedEx and waited on hold AN HOUR, to suddenly GET DISCONNECTED at THAT point; NEVER having spoken to ANYONE there. But, I CALLED BACK AGAIN, and held about 57 minutes, to finally get a CS rep and I TOLD them. I was VERY SHAKEN by all this, with the FedEx driver. The next day, I called FedEx AGAIN, because I got a text that ANOTHER delivery was coming for me THAT day, and I didn't want to be TERRORIZED and TREATED SO BADLY, again, so I waited almost an hour on hold AGAIN, and told them that I did NOT want delivery of the package AT ALL! That I was REFUSING IT, rather than ENDURE another FedEx delivery. THEN, they DIDN'T RESPECT MY WISHES, about THAT. They sent it over with someone else from FedEx--- not the route delivery driver.
When I saw him approaching, I just pointed to the patio for him to leave it there, and I stayed (safe) behind my glass patio door. However, I was SO STRESSED that I BURST INTO TEARS! After that, because that was a Walmart package, I called Walmart, and told them that, although I shop for almost everything I need, from them--- especially during this quarantine, that I would be ordering from Amazon and anyone else who DID NOT USE FedEx to DELIVER to me, and I went 3 full months NOT shopping from Walmart, at all, then, until I saw that there was another delivery driver for FedEx on this route. Then I risked it; but I am SO ANXIOUS ANY TIME I have a FedEx delivery coming. I have grudgingly ordered from companies that only deliver FedEx, since then, and have CONTINUED to have PROBLEMS with my deliveries.
Because I need FRESH PRODUCE to stay healthy, and I don't set foot in ANY stores during this pandemic (I STAY inside my apartment!), I started ordering from Imperfect Foods (who has more than produce; they also have dairy, meat, oils, and more), and I just ordered my FIRST order of various breads from Angelic Bakehouse (because bread is a staple, and it freezes well; and right now, Coronavirus is increasing, around the country, which cold cause some necessities to begin to be difficult-to-impossible to find/buy again, soon). My heart sank when I placed the order and eventually saw who they ship with: FedEx. I am just going to HAVE TO STOP ordering from ANYONE who ships FedEx!!! It is TOO MUCH BULL CRAP!!!
My Imperfect Foods box was delayed an extra day, for NO GOOD REASON, in the middle of the July Heat Wave here, and when it arrived, the ONE ice pack in it was nothing but warm water, and foods were already rotting and spoiling from being in the hot trucks for SEVERAL DAYS--- including that EXTRA DAY when FedEx CS admitted that box was put on the wrong truck and delayed due to that mistake of theirs. Imperfect Foods refunded me some of the cost of my order, for the spoiled items, but I also NEEDED the FOOD and didn't get it. So, I told Imperfect Foods I will not be ordering anything else from them during the summer heat, because they use FedEx, which is not a reliable shipper. I was supposed to get my Angelic Bakehouse bread TODAY--- it shipped last Friday.
A texts this morning even told me it was coming today, but by late morning, I got another text saying it wasn't coming today after all!?! When I got on my PC to Track it, it said that there was a "delivery exception" (whatever that ACTUALLY IS, I have NO IDEA), although the Tracking ALSO showed that IT WAS ON THE FedEx TRUCK for MY DELIVERY ROUTE as of THIS MORNING. Now, the texts say it is coming tomorrow. But, again, it is JULY, and ice packs, etc., don't stay cold for days and days in this heat. I ordered some sprouted breads, and while they are HEALTHIER, they ALSO SPOIL MORE EASILY AND QUICKLY. These deliveries are in boxes that CLEARLY INDICATE they are FOOD ITEMS! I'm TRYING to stay HEALTHY and ALIVE during a pandemic, and NOW I have to worry about FOOD SPOILING that I NEED to EAT, or getting FOOD POISONING from spoiled or moldy food.
When I called FedEx Customer Service tonight, I waited for AN HOUR and JUST GAVE UP and HUNG UP! It is TOO stressful and FedEx is SUCH A WASTE OF TIME! I tried Chat on their website, but it is only some automated thing that keeps giving me responses to my issue that are NOT HELPFUL and just TAKE ME IN CIRCLES. Like, I asked 'WHY was my delivery ON THE TRUCK today for delivery but then NOT delivered?' and all it kept saying was my package will be delivered tomorrow. I really just want to REFUSE THE PACKAGE, but I NEED the food. The supply chain was so disrupted in this country when COVID-19 hit, that I couldn't GET MANY BASIC THINGS for a couple of MONTHS! ANYWHERE! AT ALL! So, because the pandemic is WORSENING now, it could also greatly impact the delivery of things, so I am trying to get some things I can freeze, etc., so I don't sit in here trapped and without food or necessities.
Just for my HEALTH (physical, mental, and emotional!) I need to STOP ordering ANYTHING from ANYONE that ships FedEx. Maybe JUST SHOP WITH AMAZON, and DO WITHOUT THE REST. FedEx is SO NOT WORTH IT, to HAVE TO DEAL WITH! I WENT WAY OUT OF MY WAY to HELP them, for YEARS, with getting in the building to do their OTHER deliveries, and MAKE THEIR LIVES EASIER. Now, even when the pandemic ends, I don't want to do them any more favors. When I needed them, in this CRISIS situation, they have made MY life MUCH MORE STRESSFUL and SCARY, right when I JUST DON'T NEED THAT! I. HATE. FedEx. now. I REALLY WOULD almost rather STARVE than have to DEAL WITH THEM just to TRY to get some (unspoiled, still edible!) FOOD in my apartment while I live all these months in isolation because of my age and health issues making me High Risk.
FedEx just DOES NOT CARE! The ONLY time I EVER got a FedEx C S rep on the phone WITHOUT WAITING AN HOUR, was the ONE time that I was SO FED UP that I hit the prompt on my phone for 'I want to refuse a delivery'. FedEx KNOW that means they will have to return it to sender and/or explain that, to the one who was shipping it to me, and while they treat me like they just don't CARE ABOUT US CUSTOMERS, they DON'T WANT TO LOSE A CLIENT COMPANY. That is when they IGNORED MY REQUEST to JUST REFUSE IT and delivered it ALMOST RIGHT AWAY by a separate delivery guy OTHER THAN the actual route driver. That tells ME that they CAN do better, they just WON'T DO BETTER, UNLESS and UNTIL it is about to COST THEM A CLIENT COMPANY doing all their shipping with them.
I. HAVE. HAD. IT!I NEVER want to EVER deal with FedEx EVER AGAIN; but, to order SOME things, I am REALLY LEFT WITH NO CHOICE! I WISH this site had LESS THAN 1 STAR Rating, for me to give FedEx. '1 Star' Rating is STILL TOO GOOD FOR THEM.

When I called on Saturday I was told it will be delivered Saturday by 9 PM. It was not delivered! The tracking also showed it will be delivered Saturday by 9 PM 26 July. Customer service was horrible. They had no clue as to where my shipment was. All they did was repeat back exactly what the app showed!!!! The package was supposedly 80 miles away from me for three days. The app shows even now pending delivery estimated time unknown. A person that lives three streets over from me knocked on my door this evening and deliver the package to me because it was delivered to his address by mistake for some reason. I will not use FedEx again.

Hello, I am not happy at all. I was expecting a package today. Tracking #**. I called earlier today to verify my address on my package. I was informed by FedEx that my address was correct and my package would be delivered today. I just saw on the tracking that it is now delayed. I called FedEx and was hung up on by the first person I spoke with. I called back and was informed that FedEx put my package on the WRONG route and it will be delivered tomorrow.
I asked about compensation for my inconvenience and she said she would need to transfer me to customer service and they would take care of that for me. I was transferred to customer service and that lady told me what I already knew. She stated I needed to call my shipper for compensation, that FedEx is only the carrier. I reminded her that it was FedEx’s fault and NOT my shipper's fault. She would only say sorry and "it will be there tomorrow." This is NOT acceptable. This is medication and I want it today!

I contacted FedEx to speak about the delivery however the tracing ended when every FedEx representative I spoke with could not reach the driver. If my work calls me, I call back right away. It is now a week later with no resolution. I have not been contacted by anyone from FedEx, I have had to call them every time to hear the same story that they can't reach the driver. On numerous occasions I've oriented my schedule around their delivery dates only for them to delay delivery sometimes by several days at the last minute with no explanation provided. Even USPS has provided better average service than this. If you have the option of choosing another carrier, even at an increased cost, I recommend it. They have to be one of the worst delivery companies I have experienced. Despite me putting my package delivery location on their website under my acct in the Delivery Manager they still can't get it right. Then I add it to the 2nd line on my address so they would see it and they still ignore it. I have a monthly food delivery that has frozen food, so the specific place I request delivery is in the shade at least, considering AZ's hot temps. I am so tired of your lazy drivers. They delivery email said left at front door! NOT INSIDE BACK GATE which is actually a way easier delivery for them as they drive past it in my complex anyway.
If I wasn't forced to use FedEX by the company I am getting food delivery from. I would NEVER use them again. 2 months ago they left the BIG frozen food box up on the top of my 6ft brick wall. Right in site for everyone who drives by this part of the complex. Not to mention I had to ask a neighbor to help get it down. I am furious with the stupid drivers of this company! Do not order anything of importance or anything you want on a certain date from a company that uses FedEx. It will never arrive on time. It will make it to your distribution center just fine but from there it will either be undeliverable due to an exception, waiting for new delivery date, or simply take a trip around the United States. You may actually see all three occurrences for one package. If I did my job like this I would no longer have one. I wish companies would let you know who they ship through before you hit the buy button. I for myself will from now on just cancel orders shipped through FedEx. It is not worth the aggravation. Blinds.com was sending me a purchase and they used FedEx to ship to me, the purchase was close to a $1000. On July 1st I received tracking information that the package was going to arrive on July 3rd. I was going to be away so I called fedex to see what could be done. They said I could change the address to where I was going to be but I would need to be there for a day or 2 longer than July 3rd in case the package was delayed. I said I would be there until Monday night so 3 extra days was good. They could not do the change for me. I had to change it through the sender. I called blinds.com to change the package for me, which they did. The new address was Ocean County/Southern NJ. This was done on July 1st and the package was in MS at the time. On July 2nd the package was in VA on July 3rd the package was in Northampton PA.
I received a notification on Saturday July 4 that the package was now in Wayne New Jersey one mile away from the original address!!! Obviously it was NOT changed for 3 days!!! This caused a huge delay and now the package was being re routed to the new address in Southern NJ and the delivery was going to be Tuesday July 7th. I told them I would no longer be at that address and I told them obviously it was not changed for 3 days because it was in Wayne. I was then lied to by the employee who told me that Wayne New Jersey is the major hub for ALL of New Jersey even for the new address which was down in ocean county Southern Jersey. He could not help me. He would not change the address and blinds.com was closed because it was the holiday and they would be closed on Sunday as well. He would not hold it there for me to pick up, he would not deliver it to a vacation spot either for me to pick up.
This employee also told me not to call back on Monday because fedex is closed on Monday which is another lie! On Monday morning I contacted another employee from fedex and asked him to please hold the package or deliver to a vacation spot it is one mile from the original address and that I was no longer going to be at the new address for Tuesday delivery. I explained all the above that it had never been changed back on July 1st, he told me that he could not help me that the package had already been changed once so he was not going to change it or do anything for me! I then contacted blinds.com and they reached out as the sender, fedex told them they would try but could not guarantee it. So the package gets delivered to the new address in Southern Jersey where no one is home!!
The kicker at the end....the delivery guy steps out of his vehicle with 5 boxes he's carrying which are taller than his head and throws them down at the street front side of my stairs! He could have tripped on my pavers and fallen on my property. He also should have placed the packages up against the opposite side of the stairs facing the house or by the garage doors either is further away from the street so to not be seen. I found the delivery guy to create an unsafe hazard while working and possible damage from throwing down the blinds and also making the package easily stolen by placing out in the open first spot he could drop them. To sum it up I experienced Incompetence, was lied to, and had a delivery that created an unsafe environment for the employee on my property and possible damage to my shipment.

Updated on 07/10/2020: As I said in another review, FedEx refused to deliver a SmartPost item to the local post office for delivery (only deliverable by USPS). Tried to call 800-GoFedex several times, day, evening and even at 2AM. They refuse to answer their phones. The automated system said that the package was on its way to the PO (a big lie) but there was NO WAY to get this resolved as no CS was available.
I got a phone number for a FedEx "freight office" and finally talked to a "human" customer NO service person. He said he knew about SmartPost but insisted that FedEx needed a "street address" before they would hand it over to the P.O. But, none was available and he provided NO HELP to get it to the post office. FedEx is NOT in the business of delivering packages. They take your money and PRETEND they will deliver them. They will use any excuse NOT TO! Stay away from FedEx. Use the USPS as they really try to deliver ALL packages sent through them. FedEx doesn't and doesn't care if you get the package or not.
Original Review: From the FedEx website: "FedEx SmartPost offers a customized solution: We pick up (or accept drop shipments), provide line haul and deliver your packages to a USPS facility for final delivery by a postal carrier." They do NOT deliver to the destination post office. When it gets to the destination city, they create a "delivery exception" and change it to "home delivery." So IF it is ONLY a "post office ONLY" delivery address the package will NOT be delivered. It will ultimately be returned to the sender. When they change it to "home delivery" instead of delivering it to the post office, they then say they "cannot find the recipient." Duh! IF they did transfer it to the destination post office the package(s) would be delivered by the PO. In other words, they do NOT do what the sender requested (transfer it to the destination post office). This needs to stop. It is inconveniencing me and probably many others.

Two shipments ago, the delivery driver actually tossed the heavy boxes of kitty litter onto the wet grass and left them not even sitting straight. This entire shipment was 4 boxes that couldn't even stack because the box underneath was sitting cockeyed.
I have arthritis and a bad back and have had to move boxes with canned cat food, three cat condos, and kitty litter up the step onto my porch myself. It's even more fun when the boxes are wet and fall apart which is what happened last time. My porch is 5'x5'. There is plenty of room for them to leave multiple boxes. I reported them to Chewy who is the vendor that uses FedEx and complained. I have been informed that FedEx is out of contract by not delivering to the door so they will be "coached", whatever that means. Apparently, with the COVID situation, these guys have immunity and can perform as poorly as they want and cannot be fired. You can tell by their job performance.
I called Federal Express and got a representative who was obviously reading from a script. I told her I hurt my back moving boxes up a step I shouldn't have to and she said she wrote it all down. I asked what kind of compensation I would get to insure and this would not happen again. She hemmed and hawed and said nothing. I asked if the same driver always delivers to my location. She said she is not given that information. I asked her how can I be assured that this will stop. She hemmed and hawed again and I said, "Your script doesn't cover these questions, does it?" She said, "Yes, it does."
I think that said it all. She said, "I'm sorry you hurt your back. Have a nice rest of your day." That was very helpful, right? If you are a vendor, DO NOT USE FEDERAL EXPRESS FOR YOUR SHIPPING! Another text will come saying delivery will be made on Monday, June 8th now. So, that amounts to 5 more days making it 11 days in FedEx's custody for delivery of item from CA to OH. Wow, even the US Postal service can provide better service than FedEx now. Looking at the tracking history shows the item has gone through 10, yes 10, FedEx locations to get to Ohio. Our FedEx driver is too tired to place our package on our porch. The driveway is not long. Lucky we were home and saw it about 10 feet up from the bottom. This has happened before but we blamed it on the wind and it being a light package. I reluctantly called FedEx to complain. I hate to get anyone In trouble. I was promised a call back in two days. Never happened. FedEx phone number is tough to get through and they offer no email for negative feedback. I imagine these are good jobs. My packages are important to me.

FedEx carrier lied about delivery to front door - TWICE. First time package was put into mailbox and USPS confiscated it and requested additional postage. I put in a claim with FedEx and they refused to pay it. I called FedEx and they told me to lie to the sender that the package was lost. FedEx simply does not care. The second time was about a week after the first time. The carrier again lied that he delivered the package to the door. Instead he left it in the dirt under the mailbox. FedEx instead of fixing their problem puts the burden back onto the recipient and the sender to fix the issue.

I've tried to get my packages delivered to my home, but they seem to always end up being put in the middle of my driveway or in case of rain they are tied to my mailbox in a plastic bag. I've called the company who uses FedEx to ship with and complained to them and they put a note to deliver to my home. It didn't work. Can't complain to FedEx because they don't give you that option on their website or App. I'll try to not order from companies that use FedEx. My driveway is somewhat long, but that shouldn't matter. Packages tied to my mailbox or left in the middle of my driveway doesn't make it. Theft is very easy that way.

Fedex continues to top the category for complete disregard for its customers and their deliveries. I have had two experiences now with fedex failing to deliver £300 of fresh fish from london. In the first case the driver "attempted delivery" and when I challenged it, they admitted the job had been subcontracted to an outside firm, that the driver had not found the address and drove away 2 hours back to the depot without even calling me (despite the box being clearly labelled as fresh fish).
When the depot manager organised redelivery the following day, that driver also failed to show up despite detailed directions. After that point, the depot manager destroyed the box since the fish was clearly spoilt. Fedex refused to refund the £300 claim for reasons only Fedex will know. A second delivery has suffered the same fate, and this time we had to pay £75 for a taxi to collect the box from the fedex depot and deliver when Fedex was unable and unwilling to do so. I have zero faith in their systems and interest to deliver a proper customer service. I wonder what training the fedex staff have which seems so inferior to its competitors? DPD, UPS, Hermes deliver to me regularly with no such difficulty. I was using Fedex for personal deliveries but I will now cancel my Fedex account at work and switch to a reliable, polite and professional courier instead.

They got the label replaced and have since given 3 different delivery dates each time delaying the dates. When one pays shipping, should this not be in a timely manner???? It is now going on 3 weeks for a package from the states to Canada....this is totally unacceptable IMO. UPDATE: So here we are May 27th still no package!!! I ordered a new iPhone 11 on a Wednesday. It should have arrived in 2 business days. On the Apple website it showed that is was delivered to FedEx and that a shipping label was created. It was shipping from a location only less than 2 hours from me by car. Never got the package. Nor any shipping info from fedex. No tracking info. After 5 days I contacted fedex, no information at all on their end so I called apple, they told me they would open an investigation. 2 days after the investigation I called fedex and a very rude employee told me they don't know where my package is. 2 days later fedex "found my package" still sitting in the original facility, less than 2 hours away from me, that was now 7 days after the order was placed.
I got a message that fedex would deliver the next day. That didn't happen either. Still no tracking info online, no status update available. I called fedex, same thing, no status available where my package was. This is the worse customer service I've ever experienced. I would advise anybody not to use fedex. I just had another really bad experience at work, where a very important timely delivery of 600 pieces didn't arrive and they again told us they had NO IDEA where the actual packages where. Lost a big client because of that. The worst thing is they are not honest about the delivery time. I still have not received my phone (day 8 now) and also our work order has not arrived and one employee told us it was on a truck in Georgia, another employee said it was in a facility in Florida. Please don't use this company, they are horrible and their customer service is bad.

Three times since January of this year, a FedEx driver has driven off the edge of my driveway, damaging different parts of my lawn. I got a delivery this Sunday (5/24) at 3:55PM. I am lucky I was standing there to see what was happening. The driver attempted to back into my driveway but backing up a vehicle is clearly not this person's strong point. The right rear tire of the van was on my freshly seeded area; if I hadn't stopped him, he would have become stuck and hit the gas more and spun out since he was in a soft patch going uphill. No common sense and even less respect.
I told the driver that this is the 3rd time FedEx has done this to me and that I contacted FedEx after the 2nd incident and told them they are no longer allowed to drive their vehicles in my driveway. This particular driver looks like the same driver I saw during the first incident. The driver said there is nothing I can do to keep them out of my driveway. Strange, the last time I checked, I am pretty sure I was paying the bills and not FedEx; what I want is what I am going to get. My driveway is not that long, it is just as far to walk from the driveway to the front door as it is from the street to the front door.
The driver refused to stay as I told him he needed to call his boss. He pointed to the number of the local facility on the side of the van and told me to call. I said "No, you call him now". He claims to have tried to call but got no answer; I told him I thought he was lying. Then he said "I need to go" and left. I consider this to be "leaving the scene of a property damage incident". The worst part is this driver couldn’t have cared less but I am pretty sure he’d have something to say if someone did that to him. I contacted FedEx, again, and said they have no more chances; if this doesn’t get taken care of, I will file a formal complaint with the police.

First off, let's be honest. We all have some poor experiences with shipping services. I understand stuff does happen, but when the same service has multiple issues within a month's time, one must question their reliability. First off, I had a package to be delivered to my address (we'll say 715). However, it was dropped off at my neighbor's house who is 695. When I went to retrieve my package, I confirmed the address was clearly labeled (printed by FedEx) and the house had very obvious numbers posted on the front porch and mailbox. And no, there were no other packages delivered to this house where mine might have gotten mixed up.
Forward a few couple weeks, I have another order shipped by FedEx. This time the package is perishable. I watch the tracking closely on the day of the delivery. At 9:01PM, "A carrier delay has occurred." Well...it should be fine one additional day... Tomorrow rolls around, and still nothing by the scheduled 9:00 PM deadline. I wake the following morning to find tracking to show a delivery at 12:00PM. I walk outside and sure enough, there sits my (now completely thawed) shipment. I investigate my surveillance cameras and confirm my suspicion. The package was actually dropped off at 12:34AM.
Finally, I had a SmartPost shipment. My first delivery was fine. It was delivered within a week as advertised, but I had issues with the actual device I ordered. I sent it back and ordered a second unit. Now is where the fun begins... The package shipped on Monday with a delivery date of the following Monday. California to North Carolina. I watch it go through various states, eventually arriving in North Carolina early Friday morning. Is it delivered early? Of course not! It begins backtracking going back to Tennessee and completely missing the delivery date. At first I thought perhaps there was an issue and it was going back to the shipper, but no! USPS took possession of it Friday, shipping it BACK toward North Carolina, delivering it the following Tuesday. And if you're wondering, there are USPS hubs in the North Carolina cites it arrived in.
Sadly, I have more stories I could say about FedEx's failures, both residential and commercial deliveries... But what really prompted me to post something was the fact I had these three failures from nearly consecutive attempts within about a 60-day span. Their incompetence is insane, especially given the (relativity) few issues I've had with other services.

Well on the 16th of May I receive an email from Wayfair saying it couldn't be delivered and that my address needed to be updated. So I check my account and it's the correct address. So I contact FedEx and they tell me that the company (Wayfair) did put my apt # on the label but that they have since company updated it. "It should be delivered Sunday (17th) or Monday(18th)."
So the morning of the 18th it says, "In Transit, On FedEx truck, to be delivered by 8pm May 18th." So I discarded my old mattress. Well around 7pm I had a strange feeling that I needed to check the status, and it was then changed to delivery for May 19th by 8pm. I never would have got rid of my mattress knowing I didn't have one on the way, I have severe back pain. So, we used our couch cushions on top of the box spring and slept like that. Well she says "I'm sorry ma'am, it'll be here tomorrow, I've copied 3 managers to an email stating the issue and to have them expedite it tomorrow." So today MAY 20TH I check the site and it NOW STATES "At FedEx facility" to be delivered by 8pm May 20th and in the history it says, May 19th, unreadable label".. How was this not updated May 14th when it initially said it had an unreadable label?? I can almost guarantee it won't be delivered today considering it is STILL sitting at the FedEx facility. On Sunday, 3 May 2020, I received a telephone call from FedEx (in Fayetteville, North Carolina) informing me that I needed to be at home the next day because they were delivering a package that needed to be signed for. It wasn’t delivered the next day. Over the next three days I stayed and waited at home, I called FedEx many times, was on hold for hours, and the package was finally delivered on the evening of Wednesday, 6 May 2020 – and they never even asked me to sign for it. Just trying to get ahold of another person at FedEx is made almost impossible. I finally spoke with a supervisor “Dionisio” (wouldn’t give his last name or employee #) who was from Texas. I couldn’t for the life of me figure out what he thought he could do from Texas when the supervisors here in North Carolina couldn’t figure it out.
To make matters worse, the Mother’s Day gift for my wife arrived at the Fayetteville NC FedEx center on Thursday, 6 May 2020, at 3:24 am. Over the next three days I made several calls to the FedEx center in order to avoid the fiasco of earlier in the week. I was assured, guaranteed, promised, that the package would be delivered before Mother’s Day. On the evening of Friday, 7 May 2020, after not being delivered as promised, I offered to get the package myself. I was told that would be impossible since they had already loaded the package for the next day’s delivery. I was again promised that the package would be delivered on Saturday, 8 May 2020. Once again, I waited the entire day for my package to be delivered.
At 6:00 pm on Saturday evening I called FedEx again and spoke with “Larry” (again he wouldn’t give his last name or employee #) who informed me that the package was on the truck and “guaranteed” it would be delivered that evening. He stated that drivers don’t stop delivering until 8:00 pm but if it wasn’t delivered by then to give him a call back. At 8:00 pm the package had still not arrived so I called the FedEx center again. I was on hold for over an hour and when “Caroline” finally answered, I asked for “Larry” – she told me he had already left for the evening. “Caroline” was very sweet and apologetic but did not know the situation and had nothing to offer.
I asked to speak to her supervisor and was connected after several minutes to “Mark” (again he wouldn’t give his last name or employee #). Mark was rude and unsympathetic and I felt he just wanted to get me off the phone. He finally said that he would have the package delivered to me the next day. When I got off the phone, I told my wife that I was probably just lied to. The next morning (Mother’s Day), I called FedEx to confirm that my package would be delivered that day. They were all quite surprised because the Fayetteville center was not open for business.
I again asked to speak to a supervisor and was put through to Mike (again he wouldn’t give his last name or employee #) who was from New York. He informed me that FedEx trucks didn’t run on Sunday or Monday with but few exceptions and that my package was scheduled to be delivered on Tuesday (five days after it arrived in town). He told me he would see what he could do to get it delivered today, took my number and said he would call me back (which turned out to be another lie). I patiently waited until Tuesday evening for the package to be delivered – I wasn’t too surprised to find that wasn’t.
On Wednesday, 13 May 2020, I called FedEx again since there was no new tracking information posted since Saturday. I was informed that they didn’t know exactly where the package was and would call be back when they located the package. I was called back later that morning and was told that the package was at the FedEx distribution center. Tired of waiting on a package that I should have received days earlier, I told her I would pick the package up myself. She informed me that she would call me back when the package was ready for pickup. When she called back, I drove the few miles to FedEx and picked the package up myself. Much to my dismay, the package had several holes in the box and the contents were damaged. I immediately informed the shipper of the damage and sent 31 pictures to them.
With customer service like this, I’m impressed that FedEx is still in business. How is it that a shipper can move a package from Texas to North Carolina in three days and can’t get it to the customer just a few miles further in the next week. How many Mother’s Day gifts are still sitting, days later, on FedEx docks? How many disappointed fathers and children are out there today because FedEx failed in its mission? How many failed assurances, unkept promises, false guarantees or outright lies are being told because FedEx and its employees just don’t care about their customers? I will never do business with them again nor will I do business with organizations that do. I will share my experience and tell them to anyone who will listen.

Used Fedex numerous times in the past. Have not had a problem with damaged items until now, and it was on a $1900 item. It was obviously mishandled. So I Filed claim online. No response, so contact fedex customer service. Told claim held up because of information on claim, like business name was not same as name of person filing (but I had no business name). Which made no sense to me. Informed me I needed to speak with a different department. Gave me number. Contact other department 4 different occasions. Left messages no return calls. Life got in way few weeks went by. Tried to find status update online, every time (8 different times) I attempt to enter my claim number number, the fedex site state there is no data. Tried to use the virtual assistant, which was a waste of time. Provide no helpful info.
Attempt to contact customer service, automated operator would not allow me to reach a customer service representative because I had no Fedex account number for my claim. Went back to Fedex site to apply for an account number. Tried 5 different times, each time after entering all my personal and credit card info, I submit and it respond there was an error and I have to try later. I got this same response over a one week period. Another week or so (now 5/13/20) called customer service and to bypass the problem with having a Fedex Account number, I had to tell auto attendant I was calling for different reason. Reached a rep and informed him of all that had transpired. He informed me I need to talk with claims department and placed me on hold.
Claims department picked up, informed me claim had been denied because when shipping label was made (which came from Ebay login name) it had my Ebay name (which is 1st initial of wife first name, first initial of my first name and our last name). The claim was filed under my first and last name. I explained that the Ebay name is what they have, and have no idea how that was entered, as I had not manually done it, and would’ve had to been populated in from Ebay, or Paypal or something. The rep then says well maybe it was but you should have filed claim under this fictitious business name which is our login name for Ebay. Then the phone goes dead.
Not sure if it was intentional or not. But the idea that no one tried to ever clarify something so simple (regardless of the name difference it was same last name). Instead they deny claim based on that, and will not allow me to file new claim (only way you can is with tracking number of claim, which has already been flagged as denied). This is an infuriating ordeal. I cannot and will not trust Fedex again with any of my shipping anything of value. I will still pursue this, but regardless of the result at this point, it'll be too little too late. I'm not even seeking full 1900 but the difference of $300 which I had to refund the buyer due to damage Fedex caused.

This is not the first time I've had issues with FedEx. I personally wouldn't use them to ship my own things. I try not to order from companies that use them for shipping. It's ridiculous how long it takes them to get your stuff to you. I ordered may 1st, it's now the 11th and now they say it'll be another week! Last time I used them, I got my package damaged. Crazy!

Ordered dog food from Chewy on 4/19. They shipped it quickly, as usual. Unfortunately FEDEX dropped the ball, or my food, several times. It arrived in Buffalo on 4/26. It was out for delivery to me on 4/26, 4/27, 4/28, 4/29, shall I continue? I have purchased two bags of food while waiting. I get COVID is part of this but I received two other packages, from the same order, in a REASONABLE amount of time, COVID TIME extension. But this package was IN BUFFALO for 15 days and arrived at my door SOAKING WET and beaten up.
I spoke with someone at a local store. He told me FEDEX changed the route of my zip code and it’s been a mess for weeks. They hired a company to come in and deliver for them. You can call FEDEX, takes an hour to talk to someone, but they won’t give you the number of the local facility and they say they will call you back as soon as they hear from them. They didn’t. Funny how I got my package two days after I filed a claim. Shame on FEDEX!!!

Updated on 05/12/2020: After a week of expecting a package I continue to see it has not moved from the distribution center in Kernersville NC. I am sick of hearing covid 19 delays from a company that relies solely on moving packages with a truck and plane. Fedex has earned the worst reputation for service that you can imagine. It is hard to reach an american speaking person and then they have no answers. This company sucks and I mean really sucks. I will do everything in my power to keep any of my business associates from shipping with this carrier.
Original Review: I expected a package to be delivered on Saturday, FEDEX site stated delivery was to be made on Saturday, NO PACKAGE delivered. Their site now says delivered today Sunday, NO PACKAGE. This is not the first time I have had problems with FEDEX providing delivery information and no package. This company really sucks. I have asked all my suppliers to ship thru the USPS, at least I can talk with a live person when I have a problem!

Fedex SOMETIMES delivers packages. On one occasion the driver actually read the delivery instructions and used the gate code to get through the gate, OTHERWISE they can't get a package to me without losing it or destroying it. One package "a bunk bed" was dumped in a drainage ditch in the rain and box split open. Luckily I got it soon enough that not much water damage was done. Right now we are waiting for a replacement piece of furniture. It needed to be replaced because Fedex driver dumped it over the fence (instead of reading delivery instructions) and destroyed it.
Now waiting for almost a week while we get notices saying going to be delivered today then later getting "Delivery Exception, Delivery not attempted." Has happened three times now. If you call their number they make you wait for an hour or so, only look up the same messages you get under delivery history and tell you they will deliver tomorrow. No one can set eyes on package and say, "Yes it's on the truck and the driver is going to deliver." I assume it will be destroyed again if I ever do get it. Notified seller to call back package and use a responsible carrier.

I ordered a tv from Walmart delivery through Fedex. I have been waiting since may 2. Each day I get a email of delay to the next day but my tv has been in the same location for 4 days now. It’s delayed until May 11th. I blame Walmart but I moreso blame fedex, the location is 27 minutes from me. Why is delivery always a issue with them and your boxes are always ruined! I hate fedex. I will be issuing a refund from Walmart as well. They need to stop using them, it’s ridiculous at this point how they handle one's delivery.

I have had the most difficult time getting a package from FedEx. 3 days in a row they keep claiming that no one is at my store, which my entire staff is. Your service is **. I will never use FedEx ever again.

For the second time this week, on two different shipments, FedEx has straight out lied and said that delivery was attempted. I don't understand why any company would ship via FedEx with this type of nonsense. This IS not FedEx ground either, it's regular FedEx. Package 1. Scheduled delivery 5/5. At 8:30pm they claim a delivery attempt was made but customer was not available. A flat out lie. I have video surveillance which is recorded 24 hours a day on my property.
I have one of the cameras showing the driveway all the way up to the garage. There is no fence or gate so that's not an excuse. There was NO door tag because the delivery driver was NEVER at my house. Not only was I home, but since I saw the package said signature required, I had the camera on watching it while waiting for them. When I saw the delivery exception, I played the recording back, and guess what? NO FEDEX TRUCK entered my property, and yet, here is the tracking results:
Wednesday, 5/06/2020 2:09 pmMORELAND, GA Delivered
Left at side door Package delivered to recipient address - release authorized.
Tuesday, 5/05/2020 8:30 pmATLANTA, GA
Delivery exception
Customer not available or business closed.
Package 2. Scheduled Delivery 5/7. It got pushed back to 5/8, no big deal, it happens. Then at 5:48pm, Customer not available...again! And once again, NO DOOR TAG! Why? Because it's lie after lie. Again, I replay the camera and of course, nothing. But here it is again:
Friday , 5/08/2020 5:48 pmAUSTELL, GA
Delivery exception
Customer not available or business closed.
7:54 amAUSTELL, GA
On FedEx vehicle for delivery.
Why is this considered acceptable? Why does FedEx think it's ok to lie to their customers? Does Mr. Frederick W. Smith, CEO of FedEx condone this blatant abuse? Is it his direction to have his employees lie about attempting to deliver packages so that it doesn't show their incompetence? Now I have to wait till Monday to get my package that was supposed to be delivered on Thursday. I have had enough. If I ever have a choice, I will choose to have my packages delivered by ANY other company. I would choose having it strapped to the back of a donkey before choosing the FedEx liars again.

Whenever I buy anything online, I can only hope that the company I'm buying from does not use FedEx. If they do, I have to throw up my hands and accept the fact that I won't be able to count on a reliable delivery time. Again and again, I track a package. Again and again I see an expected delivery date. Again and again I see that date arbitrarily changed when Fedex decides it doesn't want to deliver it when it originally said it would. I really have to think hard to bring to mind a less reliable company. I'm am flabbergasted that they are still in business. I'm glad Amazon kicked them to the curb.

If I could give zero stars I would!!! I just started a business and let the FedEx driver know that and he looked at me and said "I hate you". Now I have been waiting for a package to be delivered for the last 5 days. I have been on the phone with FedEx for the last 5 days and they can't tell me when I will get my package.

I have the worst of experiences with this people from FedEx. Every time I order something online and it's FedEx doing the delivery I'm positive that I won't get my package or it will get "lost" or it will be delivered to the wrong address or it will come broken or damaged. This is not acceptable at all!! I'm sick and tired of this company. Someone should be accountable for the monstrosity they doing with people's packages. A good example for today was my package was not delivered and has been rescheduled 2 times and still didn't received my package.
