Ordered some last minute Christmas gifts from Amazon and paid extra for one-day shipping. They were supposed to be here today but lo and behold they weren't and now I'm supposed to wait until AFTER Christmas to get them, makes sense. But the worst part is that they didn't even make an attempt to deliver my stuff, on tracking it was marked as "out for delivery" at 6 AM then after waiting at home all day for my package to arrive the tracking changed to "arrived at facility" at almost 9 PM. But according to the tracking it arrived at the FedEx facility at 6 PM, weird according to Amazon and FedEx's website they deliver as late as 8 PM.
It's one thing if there was a genuine reason for why they couldn't deliver my package but not wanting to work and make the delivery, wanting to go home early basically wanting to be lazy and quitting TWO hours before the end of the shift is ridiculous. So because of them the Christmas presents I ordered are pointless and will be returned since I can't even give them to the person on Christmas. And let's not forget their stupid "don't deliver on weekends not unless you wanna pay even more money" bs, every other shipping company ships and delivers on weekends so get with the program FedEx. If you did a long time ago I wouldn't be on here right now writing this review.
So a word of caution, NEVER use a company that doesn't do weekend deliveries on something you need delivered right away or on something you need right away especially when they're supposed to deliver it towards the end of the week, if like me it's supposed to arrive on a Friday and they conveniently don't deliver then you're pretty much screwed and wasted money on quicker shipping for nothing because they don't deliver on weekends so that "one day overnight shipping" turns into 3+ days shipping. My order was supposed to arrive today. Paid extra for it but now it's not arriving for another 4-7 days. So I should've just stuck with the free two-day shipping because it would've been here sooner than this BS.

While most of the country will celebrating Christmas on Dec. 25, 2018, due to the incompetency of your organization my 3 year old granddaughter will not be celebrating the arrival of her gifts from Santa. I ordered a Kids Kraft Korner Kitchen through Amazon and a third party seller on 11-28. It was guaranteed for delivery on Dec 6th. However it was not delivered and status was changed to December 10, I have looked at your website and talked to your representatives, supervisors, and customer care advocates every day and more than once a day, and was assured it would be out for delivery the next day.
Your website would say "Out for Delivery" and then change to "Carrier delay." For 2.5 weeks I called Amazon and FedEx and was told it's on the truck and out for delivery. On Dec 20 the status changed to "return to seller." I got on the phone again with Amazon and FedEx (3 way) and was assured they would be able to pull from truck and I would need to pick it up from the facility (had no problem doing that).
I called 12/21 just to make sure I didn't get a truck and ride 45 minutes to pick it up and they tell me again it's been returned to seller. I'm not understanding why if the package has been at the local station and I've talked to you every day, why didn't you say it had to picked up. Now you returning to seller. I waited 2.5 weeks for my package to get from Ashland to not being able to get it 40 minutes down the road to where I live. Just untruths about why it couldn't be delivered.
Second order for the same Granddaughter not bought through Amazon was a $500 toy Mercedes car shipped by FedEx and again it gets to the local facility on 12-20 and goes no further. Called you all and again customer service rep says, "What, oh it will be out for delivery the next day." This is all my 3yr old granddaughter has asked for, now it's too late to find another kitchen or car before Christmas. She will have nothing that she wanted on Christmas, this is all she talks about, her Christmas is ruined. I am very sick, this may be the last Christmas I have with her.
I have never been told so many untruths and excuses in all my life. This has been the worst experience with a shipping company ever. I think the problem is, is that you didn't have enough drivers or manpower to complete the orders that you had to fulfill so you just returned to seller or didn't attempt to deliver and in doing so you have ruined Christmas for lots of people, especially a little kid who just wanted a kitchen and a car. Yes I'm one of your average working day people so maybe you think I don't mind, but I like so many others are the reason you are the big conglomerate you are today. I'm sure you never have this issue personally just the little people who try to make our families happy. Shame on you FedEx. Christmas is ruined.

My review is based solely on my experience with my shipment to my in-laws in Mexico! I went to ship my package on 11/30/2018! I was asking if there would be any problems with my shipping the items. The FedEx employee might not of been trained on shipping international but anyone that falls back on FedEx for not giving their employees the proper training. Anyway to cut it short I paid $293 to ship to receive by Dec 6th and they went to check on the package and were told there was a hold up. We would need a customs broker to get it and we checked into a broker and found out we would have to pay another $1,000 to receive items. Not even worth it.
So now I had to contact FedEx and request the items be sent back to me and FedEx says it is $298 to get it back. So I would love to thank FedEx for messing up our Christmas and for screwing me out of $ 600. This company solely only cares about the money they make. They do not tell you the truth about what needs to be done because they just want to take hard working people's money. I could of sent my in-laws that money and they could of bought more with that money than what I was we don't. But it was the thought of me sending gifts instead of money. NEVER TRUST FedEx WHEN IT COMES TO SHIPPING INTERNATIONAL.

Package was supposed to be delivered by overnight mail to my house on December 21, 2018. My tracking information stated it was out on the truck for delivery. After going to check for it multiple times and it being almost 9 p.m. I decided to call. The lady I spoke with at FedEx told me the package would not be delivered until December 24, 2018 end of business day. She stated that "If I wanted the package earlier I would have to drive and get it from them." This is not the first bad experience with FedEx. This is just the latest. Stay away from this company and stores like Neiman Marcus who use them. All my UPS packages arrived on time!

FedEx has hit rock bottom and needs to go out of business. Expected delivery on 12/20 per their tracking system. Scanned on truck at 8:00 AM, after waiting all day it was returned back to their facility at 8:48 PM. "Shipment exception delay beyond our control". After numerous phone calls and promises to call me with an update, they scanned it again at 8:08 PM 12/21. No calls were ever received from them. Still has delivery date as pending and same message. I paid extra to have this deliver with 2 day express. Now going on 4 days and hoping I get it before Christmas. Prior to this I had 2 different shipments with liquid that they busted. I finally gave up. If I can avoid it I will never use FedEx again. Amazon Express, UPS and USPS here I come. Look forward to short selling FedEx stock.

Can't even track the number of times that my package was on the vehicle for delivery and they ended up going back to the depot and never delivering my package. All because we are too far away from the depot and the driver doesn't want to get stuck out late. This time the package was supposed to come today 12/21 and now I have to wait at least until Monday 12/24. I needed this item before that date. Complained to Amazon about Fedex's poor service in our area and they promise it won't happen again. I won't hold my breath.

My passport was to arrive by 10:30 am guaranteed on 12/21. At 12:05 pm, I was told that the driver was running late by 2 hours. I tried to contact the location and driver through FedEx customer service rep but received no feedback. At 5 pm, I had the following options from customer service a) package may be left at front door if arrives, b) possibility that driver may not deliver today at all, c) I can pick it up at location before 8:30 but they can't tell me a time by when driver is done with delivery and returns to the station.
8 times this year, FedEx ignored my complaints about leaving packages on the floor while raining resulting in damaging contents, mail, paychecks. The fact that FedEx customer service has no way to communicate with driver or station is unacceptable, especially when their delivery process is irresponsible. I will not, and recommend others not to use FedEx. There are other options.

I ordered an item that was shipped 198 miles away on 11/29/18. I was supposed to receive my package via FedEx no later than 12/7/18, seems a bit long for a four hour trip but I could live with that. I tracked my package via tracking number provided and found that my package apparently decided to take a vacation and see the different states this fine country has. It started in New Jersey to Pennsylvania to Illinois to Minnesota, back to Illinois back to Pennsylvania back out to Minnesota back to Pennsylvania to Illinois to Minnesota to Wisconsin and back to Minnesota where it currently sits.
Needless to say I have not received it in its destination of New York. I’ve spoken to FedEx on four separate occasions and everyone gave me a different answer regarding my package and what is going on. The last person I spoke with told me that she couldn’t see any scans on my package since 11/30/18. She apparently didn’t believe me when I could tell her of all the stops it’s made and the dates they were scanned. I finally saw that I wasn’t getting anywhere with this customer service person who says she reports directly to the higher ups so I asked to speak with her supervisor. She said she doesn’t have a supervisor and would only suggest me contacting the company I bought the item from.
When I explained that I’ve already done this and they were able to see the package was still in transit with an anticipated arrival date (that’s changes at every stop) they wouldn’t do anything for me. I filed a complaint, which this same person supposedly submitted but said I would not hear anything unless the person who deals with the complaint had additional questions. I was also informed there was no way in knowing what the outcome my complaint was as they don’t disclose this. I then sent an email to FedEx explaining the same situation and they failed to even respond back to me. I’m at my wits' end and don’t know what else to do. Any ideas?

Updated on 12/24/2018: First package from FedEx, I finally picked up at their facility after 10 days of phone calls to them. Waited an hour and a half at the facility before they finally found the package. Two days later, I was to receive a Christmas package from my mom, but it hadn't arrived, so I called FedEx and was told the package was lost and my mom should file a claim. I only had two deliveries from FedEx this Christmas season, and they botched both! No problem with UPS deliveries, and USPS delivered on the Sunday before Christmas to make sure Christmas gifts from my sister got here on time. FedEx should receive no stars if that were possible on this site, and I will research future shipments to be sure they are not supposed to be delivered by FedEx since I know I either won't receive them or will have to endure their lack of customer service.
Original Review: From 12/11 until 12/20, my shipment's FedEx tracking stated package was on truck and would be delivered by end of day. Each day, I arranged for a neighbor to watch for the wheelchair for my dad and/or came home to wait for it. By 12/14, I was tired of being told it would be delivered by end of day with no package in sight, so I called them and was told it had been given to a third party, but now it was back with FedEx, so it would be delivered on 12/17. By 8 pm, the tracking information changed to "pending", so I tried a chat with customer service (horrible idea). As soon as chat was done, I called. Was told that package had been lost, but with my lengthy description, it was found and would be delivered on 12/19. Yes, you guessed it; no package delivered.
So, I called on the morning of 12/20 and was told that the box was still in the warehouse, but they didn't have any drivers available to put it on their truck. I would need to drive 20 miles to pick it up in the pouring rain, but it had been pulled from stock and would be waiting for me when I arrived. I get there, and there's only a security guard in a small building who tells me to use an outdoor phone to call the warehouse and give them my tracking number. I do this and get back in my car to wait. Twenty five minutes later, I ask the security guard how long this will take, and he tells me that if it hasn't come out by now, it will most likely be at least another hour.
I call customer service to find out why my package was not waiting for me as promised and am told that once I am on the premises to pick up the package, they no longer can help me. I should call a manager on the outdoor phone. I do call, am told a manager will come out to speak with me, that doesn't happen, of course. Finally an hour and a half later, my package is brought to me and the man thinks it's funny to say to me that if the package doesn't fit in my car, I might need to think about having it delivered. What!!?? The box had been ripped and battered and taped back together with blue tape, but I'm so grateful to finally have my dad's wheelchair that I accept it. FedEx is the worst company I've ever dealt with, and I will cancel any order for which I discover that the sender will be using them for shipment.

I was supposed to receive a package via delivery from FedEx the week of December 12. As of yesterday (December 19) I still had not received it or heard anything. After checking the email from the company that I ordered from, I found the FedEx tracking number. According to their tracking, there were three "attempts" to deliver and I use 'attempt' very loosely because they stated that the address was incorrect. My address was indeed correct and easy to find. The fourth day, the tracking stated "Delivery Exception: Awaiting additional delivery information from recipient". Well, I am the recipient, but I never received any communication regarding this - no phone call or email - nothing.
After doing my own research to track my package, I called the local FedEx facility to enquire about my package. The rep stated that due to the number of "attempts" to deliver, it was now being held "on postcard" until December 28. I asked what that meant and he said that it would not be attempted to be delivered again. Now, this was a Christmas gift that should have been delivered on time. He stated that I could pick it up at the facility, which is 40 miles away.
I drove all the way there to pick it up, but when I called their complaint line (1-800-463-3339) today, I was told that when a package is "on postcard", that means they will confirm the address and attempt delivery again. My address was always correct and my phone number was on the package, so I'm glad I picked it up myself- but apparently they were going to deliver it after confirming the CORRECT address again! I have no trust in FedEx and I wish I had a choice in shipping companies when ordering online. This is not the first experience I've had with FedEx drivers showing just how much they DON'T care.

A package from FedEx was delivered to my house while I was at work. I received a text from my friend he had stopped by my house and there was a package on the porch and he brought it into the house. I didn't get home till late that night and didn't have a chance to examine the package. The next day when I got home from work there was a note on the door from FedEx saying something about a package, much of the note was scribble (put on the door 2 hours before I got home from work, I have cameras). About 5 minutes after walking in my door there was a pounding on my front door, which I didn't answer, but watched on the camera a women standing outside my door pounding on it.
I waited for the women to leave and put the package outside. About a half hour later there was another pounding on the door like there was a raid going on or something. I opened the door to an irate lady yelling about the me having the package. I didn't take it from her door step, it accidentally delivered to my house. Is it really ok for a FedEx delivery person to give addresses away? Shouldn't it have been him picking the package back up and delivering it to the right address? I'll never ship with FedEx.

We even pushed our vacation back a day waiting for the cartons... but no, they failed to arrive. I am beside myself how a freight company can be so incompetent and uncaring. I ordered a charger from Samsung and on a Tuesday received a mail that said the package was delivered at 12:49 pm. I and everyone else were in the office the whole day and no FedEx came to deliver a package. I called FedEx 3 times inquiring about my package and was told too many different stories by their representatives. They said that the office suite number was not put on the label so the delivery guy left the package at the front door. Mind you, this is a multi-complex office building. There are many offices in the building and each office has a suite number for their mail, which I clearly included in my delivery address when placing the order on the Samsung website. So I do not understand what front door they are referring to.
I insisted and asked where exactly at the front door did they leave the package and they came back and said a person named "Matt" signed it. Who is Matt and why was Matt signing a package that belongs to me? If there was no suite number on the address label on the package as they indicated whose fault it is FedEx’s or Samsung's. Why does the delivery person gave the package to a random person in a multi-complex office building where many of us do not know each other. I contacted Samsung and they are the worse at handling this issue. They said, I need to file a police report for them to do something. I demand FedEx to ask these questions to their delivery guy which they are not doing.
The package contained a $16 worth of charger and I am doing way too much just to know where it is and just because FedEx was irresponsible for the way they do service and Samsung is supporting their irresponsibility I just need my charger, that's all I am asking FedEx and Samsung. The charger is for a work phone that's why I ordered to be delivered at work. Why do I have to do a police report? I was not the one who lost the package that I never received, FedEx did not do their job right and lost my package. I filed lost claim with FedEx. I am not going to give up until I receive my package because this is extremely unfair that I ordered my item and paid my money but did not receive my package for a company's irresponsibility in handling business. Today the FedEx site says it's been delivered to my front porch. Nope. Not to my back porch either. The local FedEx warehouse says that the driver accurately described my mailbox and house number, and he says that he put it on my front porch. There is no way for him to drive up to my house without me knowing it, as we were in the house all evening. The dog never barked either. He has to turn around in my driveway to get headed back out. Every customer service agent told me a different story, and not one called back as they said they would. They apparently have no idea where they left it or why they left with some unknown entity. The tracking information and reality always differs and even delivery you won't get into your delivery address.
If you need parcel safely you should track the driver, beg with him, pay additional money, then only your shipment will be handed over to you. Dear all senders and receivers, if you need to send or receive any international shipping, please don't ever think FedEx as "first choice" whom will screw our life miserable. So I have automatic notifications, as soon as a package is delivered I get an email that it has been delivered including the time it was delivered. So I am sitting right at my computer and an email pops up that my package was just delivered 1 minute prior. I am sitting in my living room right in view of the front door. No one had knocked. I walk over to the front door - no package at my house. I call FedEx and they tell me my package was just delivered. I explained I am sitting right here and no package is here. I ask them to call the driver so he can go back and grab my package (since it was delivered only moments before) where he left it so he can bring it to the correct address. How hard is it to look at the address before you go giving away peoples merchandise? If I wasn't sitting right there when the notification came, I'm sure they would try to blame it on someone stealing the package but I was literally right there.
No FedEx truck came here. It is almost Christmas, I have 5 kids and this is my daughter's present - and they do not get much already. Now my daughter's main gift has been squandered by a delivery driver who is too incompetent to do his job. And FedEx doesn't even have any kind of dispatch - no way to reach the driver to retrieve the package they just misplaced. I will have to wait days to week for an "investigation" but they can't even call the driver and have him go get the package he just delivered to the wrong address. The sad part is unless the company requested a signature - they do not even care where they leave a package. They won't even knock. They throw the package at the front door and if you are lucky it's the right door. If they took one minute to knock on the door - the person answering would at least have a chance to inform the driver he is at the wrong address, but no. That never happens.
Anytime FedEx has a package with no signature required - it is marked on tracking as "left at the door." Always someone is home and no reason to leave packages outside. It is just lazy incompetence. They driver know FedEx won't do anything to them and they have no initiative to care about their incompetence. As long as they can hurry up and toss the packages out of the truck and get home as soon as possible. If they do not recover my package this time, I will never use them again.

So I checked outside the unit door and there was a package there so I brought it inside, but it wasn't mine. I checked both garage doors - no package. When I called FedEx I was told that they were having trouble with their tracking system and that it may say a package was delivered when in fact is wasn't.
Later that day my doorbell rang and it was a neighbor from down the street. He had my package and he asked if I had his. I never looked at the address and he said the name on the package was his wife's. I thanked him for bringing my package to me. Thank goodness for honest neighbors. A few months back I had ordered multiple items from Amazon. Partial order was to be delivered by FedEx. I am home all day every day and on the day of delivery no one knocked on my door and nothing happened. The next day I check on the site and realize that the items were marked as delivered. I check my front porch and nothing. I called Amazon and they notified me that they could not do anything unless I called FedEx and put in a formal complaint, which I proceeded to do. I spoke to the manager and she proceeded to scream at me and say that it was not their fault at all and that she will have the delivery driver come out to me and explain to me what he did. I waited and upon his arrival, he said that he knocked on my door (which he didn't I was home) and when no one answered he knocked on my neighbor's door and left the package with them.
I did not understand why he would even do that but I was left to question my neighbor (which I should not have to do). When my neighbor got home I asked and he said that he himself was home the day before and no one knocked on his door let alone leave a package with him. I called back and spoke with possibly the same manager as before. She started to scream at me about how the delivery driver was a great person who had worked there sooo many years and how I was wrong for even insinuating the occurrences.
I am shocked by how they handled every single part of this experience. I am only now sharing this story because I have noticed that after this ordeal, to add insult to injury, they have I guess flagged me somehow. Every package that is meant to be sent via FedEx when I purchase something gets rerouted to be sent by USPS (I see it on their shipment tracking site). I ordered a few products from Target on December 3rd and due to my purchase, I was able to have my orders shipped within 2 days. My first package was shipped on the 4th and arrived in my state on the 5th but because of the president's funeral, the delivery was put off until the next business day. The next business day came and I waited at home all day, only to find out through the FedEx website that my package wasn't going to be delivered because of, "Incorrect street address." Not only did I contact customer service through email (which I didn't get a reply for) but I also called customer service and notified the representative that the address was indeed correct. I was told she'd send the new information to the driver and he'd deliver my package the next day. December 8th comes and I make sure to have status updates for my package sent to my phone, as well as stay home to see if I finally get my package.
I get a call from a FedEx employee who again tells me that the address provided is incorrect because, "It can't be found on Google Maps." (which isn't correct either, because not only I but even a friend of mine who lives in Canada can search my address on Google Maps and it pops up, with an image and everything). I repeat the same information to him that I told the customer representative the day before, he says okay and that's the end. I get a notification on my phone an hour later stating that my package has be rescheduled for delivery on Tuesday, December the 11th. That will be 6 days (5 business days) that FedEx has been holding my package when it was suppose to be here on the 6th, 2 days from the initial shipment. I contacted customer service again, because at that point, I was irritated.
I wanted to put in a request to have my packages (because I have 2 separate shipments from Target that FedEx is suppose to deliver) held at a FedEx location but was told by the representative that she couldn't do that and I could either go to Sparrows Point Maryland where my package is and pick it up or she could patch me through to someone and I would pretty much have to repeat the same directions I had given to the employee who called me earlier. I don't have a car and I live in the city, not only that but why should I go pick up my package when I paid extra to Target so that I could have my things shipped to me within 2 days?
So, I ended up having to repeat detailed directions on how to get to my home, also letting them know that I don't have a front door. Only a back door. I also gave my number so that if/when the driver gets lost near my home, I can meet them outside to get my package. All of this rescheduling and not delivering packages is unnecessary. My mother, who also lives at the same address, has had the same problem with FedEx and she assumed it was drivers who just didn't want to do their job. One of these packages contains medicine that I need. It would be a lot easier if I could pick it up at a FedEx location close to me, or if they could just give it to the post office because I know for sure I'd get my package then. This company has too many negative reviews on numerous websites regarding their practices to continue like this instead of fixing the problems.
As of today, December 10th, the newest failed delivery claim has nothing to do with incorrect address but was written as, "Customer Not Available or Business Closed." Which was also wrong because my mother and I had been home at our resident all day. We didn't see any FedEx delivery person, didn't receive any delivery slip, didn't receive any calls from the driver. I contacted customer service again, and spoke to an Amy who repeated the failed delivery claim, even going as far to say that I missed the knock.
I asked to speak to her supervisor who put me on hold to contact the driver, and asked him to redeliver my package today. As I'm aware that FedEx delivery hours are between 9am and 8pm, it's 8:35pm and I STILL haven't received my package. Either the supervisor lied to me or the driver simply didn't want to redeliver my package. Nonetheless, I have filed 2 complaints with the Better Business Bureau against FedEx, as well as wrote an email to the CEO of FedEx about this issue.

Package was taken off FedEx truck and sent to another facility and I can go get retrieve it. I said it's parts for my car and it have no transport and why was it taken off delivery. Smfh. They claim they are not sure why but I will have to wait a 3rd day for deliver. Now it all the 2 days not once did they attempt to ever come to my home. FedEx needs to sell their company and sell promises. That's all they are good for. I will never recommend using them ever. Their incompetence is unbelievable.

I do not know why I keep giving them chances. Every time I have something shipped to me and they use FedEx it is always a nightmare. I paid for FedEx 2 day so that I would have my package today (they say delivery by 8 p.m.). Package shipped Wednesday (12/5) and was estimated to be delivered today (12/7). I have not received a single update since 3:32 a.m. saying it departed a FedEx location. It is now almost 9 p.m. and I have received no updates about my package.
I contacted customer service asking for an update and they were absolutely no help. They gave me a vague statement about how my package matters to them and that they are sorry. They gave no information that would tell me the current location of my package or when the new delivery date would be. The only thing that they offered to do was to sign me up for tracking updates through my email which I already get. I am still left with no answers. I will never use FedEx again even if it means not shopping with certain companies.

My bad experiences started 2 years ago. I was in Syracuse NY on business and purchased an antique French clock for my husband. I paid the seller to ship it. They chose FedEx. FedEx packaged the clock. It was honestly a really great job with bubble wrap and foam- in- place. The package was insured. When the package arrived, it had footprints all over it. Once opened, I had a box of powder (the clock was made out of slate). They would not honor their insurance and I was out $400.
Our latest issues... 3 different packages. The package shows it for delivery at around 5 am and by noon it's back at FedEx. Five days in a row for the first package (it just randomly showed up on my porch on a Sunday morning while it still showed being at FedEx). The other 2 packages are traveling together. It's been 6 days now and they are doing the same thing. They aren't even trying to deliver. I have dogs in the house that will alert when someone pulls in the driveway. They bark for the mailman, the UPS driver and FedEx. I've been at home during all of this. I wonder what would happen if I went to work and decided not to do anything for an entire week...

No one came to the door, no door tag was left. I have had repeated interactions with customer service. They have been unhelpful - simply stating that the package would be attempted the next day. Nope they told me now it is getting changed to 12/7/2018. Waited all day, got a text that it will be there after speaking with someone yesterday and told them I leave work at 5 every day and if they can put it in the next day before I leave. Was told no problem at all. Now here we are on 12/7/2018 and just got a message stating it is now not gonna be here til 12/10/2018!!!! Are you kidding me???
I have been waiting for it all day and nothing. Then I called customer service and they were giving me the runaround saying I can go to where they take the package to which is in a very very bad part of town. Why would I want to do that and then when I asked for a manager they would not give me one til I said, "I am done talking to you. Give me a manager." For the 8th time in 74 days FedEx has lost, misplaced, misrouted, or mis-shipped my packages. The customer service is awful. Asking for a supervisor doesn't help because they read the same standard FedEx corporate written response of "wait another 24 to 72 hours before you call us again", "the notes for this tracking number shows in transit". My latest package shipped from CA on 11/26. Standard ground from CA to WI is 3-4 days. I gave them 7 days not including the weekend before calling.
My package hasn't moved since 12/3. I called 12/5 and asked for them to run a trace. After the standard response that someone would call me in 24 to 72 with a update, I waited. Now on 12/7 I called again because I needed these this morning. Package still hasn't moved, still received the same standard response, and never heard back on the trace. I am to the point of no longer working with companies that ship using FedEx. I run my own small business and to date FedEx has costed me $429.84.
Obviously being small my business doesn't matter to them but this is madness! I've had a few damaged packages that I shipped. So far all but one has been denied for repayment on a claim. Each one showing "poor packaging". The amount of bubble wrap and tape I use costs more than the box I ship in. A box smashed flat and another ripped in half has nothing to do with packaging. If you are considering shipping with FedEx please reconsider. My issues are going to continue for packages I receive but I'll never ship with FedEx again.

I had a package sent via FedEx to my home. First attempt was at 10:30 am, I wasn't home. I was at work like any normal citizen. I tried calling. Waited too long, had to try their ridiculously outdated website that didn't provide a phone number nor chat. I had to register to give instruction to manage package. I couldn't get anything done that day. I got a hold of the sending company, which was nakedwines.com, by the way, who said they would contact them and let them know to deliver after 6 pm which turns out they can't do, that was bad on their part.
So the next day I look on site and it says FedEx will attempt a third delivery today. After the time they said they would deliver and since I had not received that package, I check back on site and it says that they attempted again and I was not home. I was home all day so I called them to straighten this out and it turns out that they did not do a third attempt at all and just decided that they would do it the next day. I am absolutely mortified with the experience I had with this pathetic excuse of a company. I will, from this point forward, be researching which shipping company any online retailers use to avoid working with FedEx ever again. I have canceled a couple accounts already use FedEx to ship their products, and I'm saddened by not being able to order these products anymore directly through the retailer due to the terrible ethics of FedEx, especially in my area. If I ever need anything in addition to the products that I did receive through this ordeal, I'll simply be going through Amazon from now on.
I originally thought all of my issues were with the sender, as I had paid for overnight shipping and didn't receive the product for five days, but turns out FedEx ended up being more trouble than them. I ordered one of my two packages on 11/16/18 and I finally had enough by 11/30/18. During this time, I had a second package that was being shipped from a separate shipper as well. Here is a timeline of what happened in my dealings with FedEx:
Monday 11/26: I ordered a Fitbit online through the Fitbit website and paid for overnight shipping. My order for my other package was placed a week prior, and I was not given an estimated delivery date for it, so I had just been waiting. I left for work for my third job (which is a night position) and noticed a door tag on the door. Since both myself and my fiance had been working all day, we assumed we had missed them and waited until the following day.
Tuesday 11/27: I arrived home before the time of delivery attempt and was home all day, but still was given no updates of any kind. I came downstairs to check my mailbox only to find another door tag on the door of my building. At this point, the email and text updates I had signed up for have already proven to not be working, as I received nothing.
Wednesday 11/28: I came home from a double shift to a third door tag (this one with a different tracking number on it). And, upon calling to ask why no one sent me an update or tried to contact me, I was instructed to pick it up at the shipment center (30 min. away). There is a facility right down the street from where I live, so this was a hassle. I figured since it was supposed to be a one time trip, no big deal. Upon arriving and giving my tags to the representative lady, I was only given one package. Since one tag had a different number, I naturally assumed it was a different package.
I was told my address on my ID was incorrect (we had just signed a new lease on the apartment), so I offered to find a copy of a utility bill in my phone for proof of address. The woman instead handed me one package and said that she'd "worry about policy later." I laughed and then asked about my Fitbit, but she simply said that this was the only package with my address on it. I explained the different number on the tag and she simply replied with "No, they were all the same." I didn't question the "professional." I arrived home that evening and logged into my FedEx account only to find out that not only was what she told me incorrect, but they DID have my package in their possession and had attempted delivery that day! I had the door tag, they had the package, yet it was not given to me. The representative said if I miss it I can call the 800 number on the tag and have it saved at the facility by my home.
Thursday 11/29: I called in to ALL OF MY JOBS this day to stay home for delivery, which was promised to be today. I even put my contact information in the delivery instructions the night before so they could call me and I could come to the door to retrieve my property. Otherwise it would be sent back to Fitbit in Indiana. No text or email updates I had signed for, no phone call, nothing. Just another door tag!
Upon calling the 800 number, I spoke to an individual named Roberto who simply kept repeating "I'm sorry to hear that, but we will be there again on Monday December 3rd." I repeated to him that FedEx can't get into my building, refuses to leave the package at the door even WITH a signature because my residence is "unsafe and unfit for release," and has failed to contact me in any manner to allow me to meet them downstairs every time they arrive. He then told me they would NOT hold it at my local center and I would have to drive the 30 minutes again to get it from the shipment center.
After trying to ask him when I should arrive, he suddenly started saying they couldn't hold it and it was required to be delivered to me. Upon explaining, yet again, that unless they are going to call/text/email me when they are arriving, I cannot get my package if they won't even attempt to deliver it. They wouldn't even give me a chance, so how am I supposed to get it? I asked him if I was supposed to sit outside in the snow all morning and evening until they decide to show up with the delivery and then catch them on the lawn? He said "I'm sorry, but that is the only way we can get it to you. We will be there Monday the 3rd." UM... EXCUSE YOU!?! I have no regrets for the words I said to this person after this.
I called back and spoke to Lydia, gave her a basic play by play, and asked for a supervisor immediately. While waiting for one on the line she helped create a case and put some notes in it as well as the falsehoods given to me by previous representatives. Shortly after, a supervisor named Melissa came on the line and was as sweet/helpful as Lydia. They both did everything they could to make sure the package was taken to the shipment center and held for pickup that night. They called, found out when the truck would arrive, called back with the information, etc. I was sure it would be a quick and easy trip. I was wrong.
I arrive at the shipment center to see a woman standing at the counter being waited on by the same representative who was "helping" me the other day. They are struggling to find her package. Meanwhile she is telling them about how she lives in a HOUSE and they won't give her her packages. She went on to say things such as how they would both be home with the door unlocked and the inside door OPEN so they could just knock or shout and they could be right there. She says the drivers do nothing, don't call or even knock. They just leave a tag and go. NOTE: This is just the understanding of what I heard from the conversation between them, but I felt it was pertinent and relative.
The funny thing is, the desk rep was so eager to call the warehouse and find out the driver on that route and help resolve the issue. The second she laid eyes on me, she wanted nothing to do with me. She asked why I was there and I said "Hopefully to pick up a package." She wouldn't make eye contact with me the entire time. I handed her the door tag and she barely took seconds before coming back with the box. She knew who I was and which box it was, clearly.
Another gal followed her out and she was as sweet as could be. She apologized for so much trouble and miscommunication and said she felt bad. She confirmed my contact information and was very apologetic. I pointed at the other woman, explaining she had told me they didn't even have the package when my account clearly shows they did and they even tried to deliver it. I even joked as to whether or not the app was lying or not, but I didn't place direct blame on ANYONE. I tried to ask why that was the case and why I didn't get my property, but I never got a solid answer. At that point, I wish I had called her out as a liar, because that's what it felt like.
I was honest and told her I'd never use or shop with anyone who ships through FedEx again. She left and went back to the office, leaving me with the representative from before. I gave her all the things I was instructed to bring and she proceeds to say "you wouldn't believe how many people try to do that." "Do what?" "Try to come in and pick up other people's packages." She explains that people get upset when the package isn't here or they don't get the package and that's why they ask for proof of address - keep in mind this is the same woman who gave me the first package and said "we'll worry about policy later."
Oh, NOW you suddenly care about the rules? I asked her what that had to do with the package and she made the comment that I was asking for it yesterday but didn't have the door tag for it. (Again, I brought all the door tags left on my door, one of them having a different number one it.) I then asked her: "Are you insinuating that someone stole my door tag or -?" She cut me off before I could finish and said: "No, I'm just saying that happens a lot." I planning to ask if she was accusing me of attempting to steal someone else's package or if she thought I was trying to commit fraud because of my address and the door tags. That's how it felt.
I decided then and there that I was done with FedEx for good. I explained to her that I was already late for an engagement that evening due to all the ** and having to drive thirty minutes out here to pick up something I should have had earlier that week. In the final moments of our interaction, she slaps my ID back on the counter to show she is done with it and slips my phone back to me across the counter. She then taps the screen on my side and says "you need to sign." I said "yes ma'am" and signed, trying to be as polite and quick as possible so I could get out of there. She then takes her hand, lays it flat on my package containing over $200 in merchandise from Fitbit, lightly slaps it a couple times, and then slides it in my direction and says, with no eye contact: "There, you're done. It's over. Goodnight," and immediately leaves the floor and darts back to the office, making sure to quickly turn her face away from me as she does so.
That was the end of the interaction, and I was left there standing awkwardly. "Goodnight" was all I could stomach to say back, and even then I wanted to vomit. I was gagging in disgust as I left that building. I have no intention of giving this company a second chance and I have no intention of speaking positive about the service, or lack thereof, that I received. Lydia and Melissa were wonderful and so was the sweetheart at the shipment center that, unfortunately, left me alone with the first woman. I feel lied to, cheated, scammed, and disrespected. This whole experience was disgusting, and how they have an A+ rating with the BBB and an average customer rating on the BBB site of ONE STAR is beyond me. Save yourself the rage and trouble, use UPS or USPS. Even if it were to take longer to get your package, at least they will treat you with respect like a human being.

This company is the worst shipper. They put their logo on buildings that are smart posts. They refer to them as their partners but the Fedex representatives including supervisors do not even have their phone contacts to call and inquire for missing packages. If your package goes missing from one of these smart posts a form must be sent to them. You have to tell them what is in the package. I find this ridiculous. What is in the package is none of their business and how is that relevant or helpful in finding the package? Do they open packages to find your item? This feels like an invasion of privacy to me. If you use your logo and you create a partnership then learn to work as a team and take responsibility for who you choose to partner up with.
FedEx profits from this relationship so they need to be accountable as well. Most smart posts take no responsibility for lost packages and this is on your receipt. I say if it has a FedEx tracking number then Fedex needs to take responsibility period. If your package is not found and you have no insurance they pay up to 100 dollars so I guess they want to know what is in the package so they can gauge what to pay. My stock answer would be a hundred dollar bill in a box. If that does not make sense to them then we would be even because their policies make no sense to me. Use the USPS or UPS. No system is perfect but you should deal with a company that has a system without so many major flaws in how they do business.

Obviously since I checked at 7 am on the tracking and it said 6:30 - out for delivery, I threw away the mattress so I wouldn’t have to deal with it when the new one arrived. Well, 6 pm comes and a FedEx truck pulls up to my house, my whole family saw it. We were all expecting the mattress, so we had the front door open, the porch door open and the blinds from the windows open. We also had music on so he knew there was people there, so tell me why the driver, never got up off the seat, but instead waited like 5 minutes and drove off. When I heard him leave I automatically went out to the porch (keep in mind you can see the door from the street it’s not too far) then when I didn’t see a box, I walked outside to the door of the porch, while the truck was making a turn.
The driver saw me come out and stare at him, yet, he didn’t stop. He didn’t leave a note on the door. No nothing. I checked online and it still said it was going to be delivered. I even called to make sure and they said it was still going to be delivered today, so why ** now that I’m checking it says it’s going to be delivered TOMORROW! Why ** is my package back at the stupid FedEx location! I’m so beyond pissed, not about my kid not having a mattress because he can sleep with me, but the fact that the product I purchased and paid shipping for was in front of my house, yet it didn’t get delivered. Yes, a fake tree is hazardous. The second time I called back they have no idea what was going on. The second representative said it was not hazardous, obviously. I was told that it had to be sent to Quality Assurance for investigation. They have no time frame for resolution. They have no idea why it won't be delivered. They really don't know anything. I know what is going on. They do not like doing their jobs and would rather make us drive to the local pick up centers to retrieve our own packages. Thanks for nothing FedEx.

I do not know what is going on with FedEx lately but they are not dependable. I had a package on Monday that said it was on the truck and would be delivered which didn’t arrive on Monday. On Tuesday I had 2 packages that said was on the truck and would be delivered that day plus my package from Monday. FedEx arrived at 11:19 am but only delivered Monday's package. I waited until around 3:30 and I called them. I was told that they do not make deliveries on Mondays here which was a lie because I saw the truck down the road on Monday. The package that was supposed to be delivered on Tuesday had prescription dog food that my dog needed. I was told that it would still be delivered that day.
I waited and waited and finally around 8:00 I called them and explained what has been happening and what all I have been told. I then asked to speak with a manager. She supposedly contacted my local FedEx and was told that the drivers can only work so many hours in one day so the package would not be delivered until tomorrow now. She couldn’t answer why my package was not delivered with yesterday’s package that was delivered today. She then told me that my local FedEx would contact me today so we could talk about all of this. It is now 12:27 in the afternoon and I have heard nothing. Last week the same thing happened to someone that I know but when they called they were told it wasn’t delivered because of inclement weather which was not the case. I’m not sure what is going on lately but this is unexceptionable.

I was home on Monday, The FedEx truck pulled into my driveway and the driver jumped out and rummaged in the back for some time. He got out of the back and then went to go get into his truck and drove away - with me on the front porch watching it all unfold. I called out and he said the package wasn't in the truck. He did NOT deliver my package but the system stated it was left on my front steps - no signature required. Since I am in a single family home AND was occupying my front steps at the time - and watched him go NOWHERE NEAR my front steps - how was this package delivered? I am guessing on someone else's doorstep. I have complained to the company whom shipped it via FedEx and hoping to get a new product sent to me - maybe this time I'll get it - this time requesting signature required too. This is one instance in a LONG line of issues with this companies delivery policies. FedEx is a joke.

However FedEx would not allow me to pick up my package prior to the commit date (which was the next day) customer service explained to me it was uneconomical for them to allow me to get my package before the scheduled arrival date even though I would be saving them a trip by picking it up. These guys clearly have no concerns about customer satisfaction. I recommend you encourage better business practices by taking your business elsewhere.

When I called FedEx to inquire why the package was delayed the customer service rep (who could barely speak English) informed me the local delivery center had too many packages and mine would have to wait. My guy from Orlando Florida sent me three phones to Dubai which includes, Samsung Note 8, Samsung Galaxy S9 and iPhone XR. All the items were supposed to be shipped in one single box. The label was created online with maximum estimated weight 6 lbs. But when the shipment left FedEx Facility Center in Orlando the weight of the package updated to 2.4 lbs (here I would like to mention that Samsung Note 8 weighs more than 1 lbs alone and almost same weighs the Galaxy S9 so that makes 2 lbs weight for just two phones).
So it means iPhone XR never left the FedEx Facility Center Orlando. And when the shipment reached to Dubai it the packaging was a small bag while creating label we paid for small box. And that bag was so small that there was no place for the third phone to be fixed in that bag, there was only the place for two boxes to fit in. So I’m currently in touch with my attorney to sue FedEx as they have stolen their customer’s belongings while they are entitled to ship them safely.

I cannot believe that a company that has ONE basic function does it so poorly! I scheduled a pickup for some very important documents last week. I then made sure I was available at home during the agreed upon pickup window. I then waited the whole rest of the day. Nothing. Nada. Zip.
I phoned customer service late that same day and got some useless moron whose only remedy was to direct me to call back at some other time. She told me the driver's notes were that he came to my place and "the package was not ready". Apparently FedEx is hiring psychics to drive their trucks now as this genius was able to tell the state of my package without even having to speak with me! The notes further stated that a waybill and envelope was left behind. Seriously? Since the driver never even attempted to make contact with me, I have no idea where these items were supposed to have been left. Perhaps at the pub down the street?

I recently shipped an item with FedEx and made sure to purchase sufficient insurance to cover the item. When the item arrived at its destination, there was a clear puncture on the box and the item was damaged in that exact location. I submitted a claim with them, providing a photo of the puncture and the damaged item that my customer sent to me, and I expected to recover my loss (it was a large loss).
I never received a followup from FedEx on the status of my claim, so I called and was told that they could not reimburse me unless the customer saved the packaging and submitted detailed photos of the packaging (which was obviously removed when they unpacked the box... And the box was huge). So am I to understand that we are to tell our customers that they cannot get a refund unless they save all shipping materials for FedEx to process them? I find this to be poor business practice and that shipping insurance is just a scam to pull more money out of consumers. I will be entirely shifting the shipping provider based on this experience. So, I have a tiny living room but had a huge, sectional sofa that was a hand-me-down and took up almost all of the floor space. I got no room for my Christmas tree and I'm tired of walking around it, so I went to Walmart.com and ordered a very nice, blue futon. I'm not too fancy, so a nice futon is acceptable and easy to put together. Then I get an email that same day, and I see that FedEx is carrying my futon. And I cringe, because I know I am in for a real rough time. The last time I ever had something carried to me by FedEx was when I ordered a video game off of Amazon about two years ago. I paid for expedited shipping so I would have it within two business days. FedEx made sure I had that after waiting two months. Two months, and I paid for faster shipping, and not only that, but they told me it was Amazon's fault. Hah. Sure.
Anyway, I had no choice in courier this time around. So I'm stuck with this garbage dump of a service. I ordered my futon on the 20th of November. They said it would be there by the 23rd. I was surprised, but didn't get my hopes up, which was a smart thing to do because the estimated delivery changed to the 25th. Then to the 30th. Then it just gave up and said "Delivery Pending" with no information on where it was.
I'm frustrated, so I call FedEx. Guy on the phone says it was only ever listed as being in transit with an estimated delivery date once. So he called me a liar, basically. Second time I called, I got some squeaky-sounding girl who told me to just wait for my package and then hung up on me when I started to explain the delivery estimates constantly changing. Third time I called, some guy just said "Sorry" and asked if he could do anything else for me. I said no, but I hope he understood my tone. The fourth and final time I called, some guy who was actually polite said he could put a trace on the package because even they don't know where the heck it is, but it wouldn't be until Monday (December 3rd) that I'd get a response. I don't expect to have one at all, to be honest. What, FedEx is gonna call me back to let me know where the thing I paid money for is? Yeah, sure.
So now, the estimated delivery date is on the 5th of December. But the date means almost nothing to me now, because FedEx has taught me that customer expectations are worthless. It says the fifth. But what if they decide that's too soon for them? What if the driver wants to go to Montana or something, 'cause they got the best McDonald's in the whole country or something, and that's more important to them than people's packages?
I bring up going to different states for a reason: I am in Tallahassee, Florida. The package was coming out of Pooler, Georgia. The closest FedEx facility is in Savannah, Georgia. Both of these cities are only four hours away from me. After having "Delivery Pending" for three days, I discover that my package is in Middletown, Connecticut. That is 17 hours away, on the opposite end of the east coast. Why on Earth did it go that way?
Don't use FedEx. Avoid at all costs. It's garbage. Trash. Maybe back in the 1990s it was worth something, but now it's equivalent to a team of incompetent monkeys. I have already contacted Walmart about this. I noticed a good amount of people writing reviews on this site ordered something from Walmart. I implored for them to change to UPS and leave behind the burning ship that is FedEx after sharing this story with them as well as linking to this website, and I actually got a reply saying they would pass the suggestion and email I sent up to someone in charge of such matters.
I hope they meant it, because all FedEx is good for is wasting time and money, and causing large amounts of totally unnecessary stress. Oh, and also? I had to get rid of my old sofa because I had scheduled for someone to pick it up on the first estimated delivery date, since the man getting rid of it for me would only be free that day. Now, I got nowhere to sit in my empty living room. But hey, at least I got room for my Christmas tree, now.

I had important documents being delivered via FedEx to organization and despite going missing and calling them a few times, the only standard response I was getting is that they are looking for it with no update on when the search would end and the package would be found/delivered.
If a package is being provided to FedEx for delivery, it's FedEx's responsibility when the package goes missing and not a point to blame others but find the package rather than providing a standard response. So, what's the purpose of having a tracking system? One time for work, my order was delivered, but someone else, not in my department or building signed for it (I checked with building security). I went to the FedEx store next door, and when the employee tried to track it, he got a different name of the person who signed for my package than what I saw when I tried to track it. Calling FedEx they assured me it would be delivered by 8 pm (I called at 7pm on the day it was supposed to arrive).
Ok so the next business day comes, they attempt delivery this time, but of course I'm at work like anyone during the day and they didn't deliver. Fair enough. So I think I'll hold it at location... Completed that online, but it didn't give me any information when I can expect to pick it up. I'm going out of town next week for work so I want the package before then. I call FedEx customer support and wrestle with the Mac IIe voice recognition system for 20 minutes until I can get a human on the other end. He tells me I'm out of luck. Cool job FedEx, no wonder the 7 billion dollar company I work for uses Purolator.

I ordered a computer monitor for my visual work. Was confirmed by shipper to be delivered no later than Thursday end of day. Got a notification that the package wouldn’t reach me by Friday end of day. Ok. I get it delays happen. Get ANOTHER notification that it is now sitting in a warehouse in New Jersey that is closed 4 days a week so no pickups. Hours are from 9am - 4:30 Wednesday-Friday. They still have to deliver it to their Yonkers Location and wont deliverer it until Tuesday end of day. Save your time and frustration and order from UPS or even USPS. They’ll probably me faster and won’t change your delivery date and time 5 times while shipping it.

Wish I could give 0 stars but apparently you have to rate with one to be able to express your dissatisfaction with the company. I've been expecting a package since 11/28. Delivery service says: "Schedule delivery: Thursday 11/29/2018 by the end of the day" It's an office that opens at 8:30am with GLASS WINDOWS where anyone can see whatever we are doing inside, information on the website says "delivery exception, Customer not available or business closed" LIE #1.
Friday 11/30/2018 came to the office at 8:30am and been waiting outside the office for the truck to come, check for status at 11:59 and there is a message saying "delivery exception, Customer not available or business closed" updated at 10:58am LIE #3. I was outside on the street waiting for the package to be delivered and NO ONE came to deliver, no truck, no package, nothing!!!
Called Customer Service and they promised package will be delivered in the next 20 minutes LIE #4. Its now 2:14pm and they still have not come to deliver the package. Again we called several times Customer Service and spoke to Crystal, a manager or supervisor, to get some help, unfortunately she is in Maine and it seems whatever she does will not affect anyone, nor FedEx employees, nor our company. She said the driver will be back before 5pm to reattempt delivery, hopefully this won't be LIE #5. I am SOOOO mad, there is no way of describing my frustration and anger. This package has important documents that are needed TODAY 11/30/18 before 6pm. I will update if the package is delivered or not.

Pushed to Nov 30th. Each day on the delivery log it says NO ATTEMPT MADE! But in Nov 29 it says due to weather; really? The weather was just fine. I don’t live in the backwoods where you need 4 wheel drive to get to my place. I call customer service. The lady says it will be on the truck Nov 30 and delivered by end of day. I said, "It’s been saying that for the last 3 days!"
Basically my laptop has been riding around on this FedEx truck for 3 days!!! The longer it rides on this truck the more likely it will succumb to damage. If I’m told one more time “no attempt made” and it gets pushed to Dec 1, I’m gonna blow my top. This is absurd!!! Mine should be delivered first thing in the morning on the very next day. But no, you start all over again and deliver everyone else’s. And I was told I was unable to go pick it up. Are you serious?? I hope I do not have to use them again for a while. I am so disappointed and angry.

I waited for a large box of perishable food items that were supposed to arrive Thursday "by the end of the day" according to FedEx. Apparently that just means make the customer wait until 10:47 pm when you finally decide to update the tracking system to show "no delivery attempt made, package will be delivered by the end of the day Friday". Not okay. This is frozen food, not a sweater. It does not enjoy sitting on a truck from 6 am-11 pm without being refrigerated. If my food is defrosted when it finally shows up I swear to God I will be taking it up with FedEx directly. This kind of garbage service is expected during Christmas but it's November, there's literally no excuse for this kind of terrible service.

Package tracking said would be delivered Wednesday before end of day. At 725 pm, tracking said "pending, no delivery date available" but still listed as on truck. I called FedEx, representative said, "I don't know why the status changed but wait till 8 pm for delivery, if not delivered, it would be delivered Thursday." Tracking once again said, "On truck for delivery before the end of the day". 725 pm, status changed again to "pending, no delivery date available" but still listed as on truck. Called FedEx again, representative said again "I don't know why it wasn't delivered. It is on the truck and should have been delivered yesterday, please be patient and just wait for it." I asked if I could just pick it up and he responded with an address that I might be able to pick it up the next day.
I asked him to spell the address and he could not even spell the street name. What is going on with FedEx, three weeks ago, a driver pulled up in his personal pickup truck and unloaded a package for me that the box was so damaged that parts were dropping all over my driveway. And naturally it was raining hard and he had no cover on his truck bed. Last week, my daughter found my delivery in the middle of my yard in the rain, I ran over to the delivery driver, who was in a Budget rental van and asked why it wasn't put on my door step out of the rain and left in the middle of the yard. She replied with "the box was kinda heavy". The box was only about 35-40 pounds at the most. No apology, no caring about providing customer service.
Tomorrow morning I will be at the FedEx location at 8:00 am when they open and I can almost guarantee that my package will not be sitting there waiting for me like it is supposed to be. We pay for a service and receive extremely poor service and then later they raise the prices and then ask for a raise in their wages like they deserve it. No one holds anyone to their responsibilities because they all just want to be friends and not have anyone mad at them. The problems start at the supervisor because they don't ensure that customer service is a priority. By the way, the FedEx location is on Gun Club Rd in Augusta, Ga. From this point on, I will be picking up my package instead of them delivering to me.

Once they miss their first delivery date, they don't give you another. One package was still sitting in Texas on the day it was due to be delivered here in Indiana. The other was still sitting in Pennsylvania. I have no idea when I can expect them. Fedex needs to fire someone. This is shameful. We receive weekly delivery of perishable goods from a meal kit service. During the summer, our porch receives direct sunlight from late morning until early afternoon. I have left three increasingly larger signs for the FedEx Delivery service to simply place the box to the left of the door instead of right in front of the door. We have RING Door service and I watch (nearly) every delivery person literally RUN UP TO THE DOOR AND THROW THE PERISHABLE BOX ONTO THE PORCH. I am at a loss to explain this when UPS and USPS seem to read and heed the request (not even for them) to place delivery items in a common sense shaded and somewhat protected location.

I also sign up for a text and automated phone call. I took off work to be home by 1:25 only to find the driver came at 12:25. I called in a complaint and they said someone would call me which no one did. They set up the delivery for the next day between 1:25 -4:25. They came at 8:15 am. I was home and probably in the shower. Again no prior text or call. Now they will try a last time tomorrow???
The thing is they make only three attempts to deliver and then I'm not sure what happens. If they are going to make these attempts they need to follow with the delivery arrangements they make. Maybe they are trying to get us to pay extra to customize the delivery. Or they just don't care. So tomorrow I will take another day off work and maybe from 8 am until 8 pm sit at my front door. NOT A GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE. VERY UNHAPPY CUSTOMER. This also affects the companies we purchase merchandise from. I have never written a bad review in my life, however after three bad experiences in less than a month's time with the same company has prompted me to do so. I'm not sure if all Walmart Shopping Centers use FedEx, but if so I implore them to stop. First, ordered a TV from Walmart to be delivered to store for pickup because I was out of town. While I was out of town it said delivered and when I went to pick it up Walmart said they never received it. They were extremely helpful and called FedEx in front of me and they went through several people who could not even tell them where the tv was as it was never really delivered. So I cancelled my order and re ordered TV to be delivered to my house.
On to number two. I had to be home to sign for the package so I took off the day the TV was suppose to be delivered. Kept saying it was in my town and was in transit to be delivered that day, I kept getting worried it wasn't as it kept getting later. Then at 7 pm received a message saying the barcode was missing and package wouldn't be delivered...for another week! I called and the people straight up lied saying nothing about the barcode until I mentioned it, customer support is terrible. I spoke to three people, could not understand any of them and they tell you nothing you can't see online.
Then finally, hoping it was isolated ordered my third and final item from Walmart until they switch carriers. I ordered a Water Dispenser, suppose to arrive yesterday, says it's in my town. Never showed up. No big deal, except for my last two experiences were so terrible so I called them as it no longer had a due date. Once I got another customer service person who once again I could not understand, she said she contacted them and said my package won't be there until the following Monday? That was my final straw as I hung up and immediately wrote this review. They also take 7-10 days while everyone else I order from I've never not gotten a package within 2-4 days as I live in the midwest. Stay clear of anyone who uses FEDEX as their carrier.

Um... the fires in SOUTHERN California that happened WEEKS ago?!
Aside from these incidents, every single time something is shipped to me via FedEx, without fail, I get a "Delivery Attempted" email. I've waited for hours. No one came to the door. No FedEx truck even drives by. What kind of lazy criminals does FedEx hire? I've wasted countless hours waiting for deliveries that were never attempted. They just throw it onto the porch from the sidewalk. I was waiting on 2 pieces of electronic equipment that cost around $1,000. So I didn't want any porch pirates to walk away with it (I live in the city).
The tracking number says that the package will be delivered today, but after staring out the window all day to no avail, I finally gave up and called customer service. I was told that the package was not going to arrive today due to a delay, but it was NOT updated on my tracking, nor did I receive a text or email, even though I signed up for updates. The last time I received an update was at 9:45 pm yesterday. In 1936, Dale Carnegie published a book called "How To Win Friends and Influence People". Since its release, it has become one of the most widely read and loved nonfiction books of all time. It has been written in almost every language and has sold over 15 million copies worldwide. The book laid the groundwork for a more compassionate and people-driven way of solving problems. Anger never gets anyone anywhere. Help others to help yourself. Being mean doesn't get people to do things for you. In fact it does the opposite, further pushing them away from wanting to help you at all.
These were the groundbreaking tenets that came to be celebrated, widely agreed upon, and striven for as the new standard of how to treat one another. None of them work on FedEx Customer Support. Trying to get a refund seems deliberately designed to be so frustrating that people give up. It's as if the company org chart purposely separates the customer support and claims department to ensure neither team has any idea what the other is doing, despite both being vital to one another.
It wasn't until I'd finally had enough, six calls in, and said something to the effect of "What the hell is wrong with you people" did anything actually happen. The first five or so calls, I was sure to be patient and understanding, but I gradually became more stern and direct with hapless staff members. It seems that there is no process whatsoever for escalating and moving people's claims forward. There must be zero communication between team members because I was starting from square one each call despite how much progress I'd made during the last one. This wears thin when you're on hold for 10 minutes at a time, and the line that the switchboard redirects you to isn't the department you're told it is.
Last but not least, it turns out that photographs are required for a refund to be issued. The only problem is, I was not told that until they said my application had finally been processed. This entails getting a paper letter in the mail after 6-8 business days (because they don't do email, awesome guys), with a notice of whether your claim was accepted or denied. Except now it would be rejected because no one told me that photos were mandatory. All that waiting just to hear "sorry, denied" because I wasn't properly told what I'd need to provide in the first place. Had I been told two weeks earlier, I could've avoided that.
To an extent, I get it. I can’t imagine the customer support staff of FedEx is having a blast dealing with increasingly irate people like myself. I wouldn’t. I'm not normally the guy who takes the time to write negative reviews online. But recently, I've come to realize that a negative review may be the single most useful thing to actually get someone's attention. The number of negative reviews on this site, however, seems to hint otherwise unfortunately. In any event, here’s my two cents.

I want to preface this by saying in 2018, we have cars that drive themselves, yet FedEx can't seem to understand how terrible their service is. After ordering a $1500 monitor, I was only notified THE DAY BEFORE that it would require a signature. I actually work during the day, unlike the people at this company, so no one will be home. I had to call 4 separate numbers all telling me to call someone else, and at the end of being thrown around, I get an Indian guy who I can't understand, who tells me that in order to change my delivery address or date, I have to contact the company I bought it from! Are they making this up? I've never heard of such a convoluted system.
Their website is absolutely terrible and literally serves no purpose. It displays completely incorrect info about who is shipping and doesn't allow the user to do or change anything. They also have no public phone numbers to contact, so you have to speak to a robot or a dumber than a robot Indian person if you want to "attempt" to achieve anything.
I understand requiring a signature, I do, but FedEx needs to understand that I REFUSE to change my schedule on a dime, or take a day off sitting around twiddling my thumbs simply because they don't notify me that a package will or won't require a signature until THE DAY BEFORE. They won't let you change the address or delay the shipment, so you're stuck wondering what kind of hellish limbo your package worth hundreds or thousands of dollars will end up in.
I'm actually impressed with how poorly designed their system is and how difficult they make it to find out anything or get anything done about changing your package. It's impossible. I would rather go to China and work in a sweatshop making the product myself, then swim back home, than to have FedEx even touch my next order. Absolutely pathetic, and I will make a point today of spending as much time posting this review everywhere, as I did wasting my day on the phone getting absolutely nothing accomplished. My advice? Burn the entire company to the ground and don't start over, let the nice folks over at UPS do it right the first time.

I purchased two cell phones for my drivers from Simple Cellular on Nov 20, 2018. Three day shipping guarantee from FedEx expired Wednesday before Thanksgiving. No problem as it was on truck for delivery on Friday after Thanksgiving. My business is a two story yellow building with a yellow fence and is a half block long. No delivery between 8-6. Saturday the package shows it is out for delivery so I wait until 3 pm and then go online and message says delivery attempted at 10:32 a.m. but closed and no one to sign for package. I call FedEx and they tell me the driver doesn't have a cell phone but Austin in Tampa guarantees delivery so I wait until 8 p.m. with floodlights on and building glowing. No delivery. Call back to FedEx and they tell me the Tampa office is closed.
Monday morning I call FedEx and they tell me since my business name wasn't on the package they subbed it out and the sub doesn't deliver on Sunday or Monday so I may get it tomorrow. MAY GET IT TOMORROW! FedEx used to be the best. USPS kicks sand in their face and UPS is on a totally different level. Never again FedEx. Did you know that the name FedEx is from the Latin word that mean "slow moving deceitful LIARS"?

So I made a purchase on form an eBay retailer who on their page specified a guaranteed delivery of Friday November 23rd, shipped by FedEx. Friday November 23rd came and went and I did not receive my package. When I checked my packages tracking number this morning I found out that it is sitting in a delivery truck in St. Louis with an estimated delivery date of Thursday. I guess they expect me to go find the truck in St Louis and pick up the package. By the way whenever I have ordered something and had it shipped via UPS once it gets to St Louis I usually get it that day. So, no FedEx. You are not faster than UPS, you are about 5 days slower, and you cant follow up on a guarantee.

I purchased 2 maternity dresses from Amazon. FedEx 2 day shipping. They were supposed to arrive the day before Thanksgiving which was good because one of their dresses I was going to wear for Thanksgiving. At almost 4:00 p.m. my stepdad who had ordered the dresses was notified that they had been delivered. I was actually sitting at home at that time. I checked both my front and my back door in my neighbor’s doors and texted some of my other neighbors to see if it had been delivered to them. It was nowhere.
So I called customer support who after making me wait for several hours calls me back and tells me the delivery guy says that he knows he delivered it to the right place so they weren't going to do anything more about it. And when I try to contest that and say that it was not there because the guy claimed there was not a package in the door but there was I was told I was wrong and my neighbors must have stolen them. But the package delivered at noon was still there. So they only stole the ones delivered by FedEx. I'm so upset at what happened but even more by how I was treated. If you get the choice use USPS or UPS! FedEx doesn’t care if the package is delivered to the right place. Just that it’s delivered.

FedEx seems to not care who gets the package as long as it gets delivered somewhere. In the last two weeks, before going on his trip, my father has received someone else's package 8 different days and they were for houses that were visibly marked from the street. This doesn't even include all the other times this has happened as it seems to happen often. He even chased the driver down and told him the package was wrongfully delivered and the guy said, "what do you want me to do about it?" He just left my dad with the packages and refused to take them back. Then I went to take care of his dogs while he was away on a trip and during my week at his house there was 3 boxes left on his front steps (over two days time) with no knock or doorbell ring as I was home with two hyper Pomeranians who did not bark once. I was forced to deliver the packages myself as they were right down the street a few houses over.
Once my dad learned this after getting back he contacted FedEx and left it on speaker phone. Took him 15 min to reach the correct support to help us after being on hold and when we told him the problem he was making sound as it was our fault the packages were being dropped off at the wrong place. Then he tried saying we should refuse it at the door but when we told him the guy isn't ringing or knocking the guy on the phone didn't care. And when we told him what the driver had said he didn't care. Then the guy told us that we just need to call to have the packages up which wouldn't be a problem if it wasn't happening so often and that it requires us to have the time to do it. As it's my father who is affected by this it's even harder as he's gone due to work and commuting for 12+ hrs a day when he's working. And my stepmother can be gone at any moment due to potential clients at her business as she's on call throughout the entire day.

I have but twice experienced FedEx. Both were big trouble. I ordered a 60k box sack of coffee from Jersey To Connecticut. I watched on the first day of the given delivery date a driver park outside the driveway, run up to the door and run away as I answer the door only to find a note on the door that said I wasn't home from FedEx. So the next day I waited for the expected return and FedEx driver did the same run up to the door, leave a note and run away to the truck and speed off.
It happened a third time and I followed the FedEx truck in my car but I couldn't keep up. Every day for about five days I'm calling and yelling for an hour and a half to FedEx folks over the phone. I'm dropping tons of F bombs for hours a day for about a week with FedEx folks and finally got my stuff about a week and a half after they said they'd delivered it.
The next experience is still happening, I've been daily hours on the phone F bombing away at FedEx folks and they keep telling me it was delivered at my garage about a week ago. I waited on the next day it was delivered and nothing happened. We thought about building a garage back in the 1950's but still haven't. FedEx still insists I have a garage and my package. I'm still trying to get my stuff and it's a week over the date it was delivered to at the garage we never had built.

In the past, I have seen my stuff thrown on the steps that were not near my door and I personally hate this company. They are the worst. I don’t even write reviews good or bad, but this experience is so frustrating. Companies shouldn’t even be partnered with them. I don’t trust them whatsoever. UPS is where it’s at people!! FedEx has been delivering to my address for 22 years. About 6 months ago I started having problems with packages being delivered on the delivery date. When I would track the package there would be a notation stating the driver could not deliver due to incorrect address or no apartment number. I have had this address for 22 years and it is not incorrect and it is not an apartment complex. I have to contact FedEx each time to resolve the issue and I am getting frustrated with them. They can Google map it, but I am not so sure they have anyone working that has any common sense.
I am going to be very upset if I have to quit shopping online because of them. I have already had to give birthday presents late and I am afraid the same might be true with Christmas presents. They need to hire some people who will do more to locate the address than just give up and make a ridiculous excuse for not delivering the package. Forced by vendor to take FedEx as a shipper. I have always hated FedEx. They are the reason for the 1 foot tall number 7 on my fence that they always deliver to a neighbor anyway. UPS delivers 95% without issue. FedEx delivers to wrong home 70% of the time and makes a point to be late, never early or on time. UPS is usually early. FedEx is the only delivery company that requires signatures, randomly I might add. They do not even provide their delivery hours of operation. So I've been waiting since 8am- now 3pm and it's been on the truck since 430am. I did not miss a knock. I have a keen German Shepherd that barks at noises he thinks are knocks. So 430am until 3pm. No updates. We have things to do and 2 kids so let me waste an entire Saturday waiting and until when exactly? When do deliveries stop and I can cancel this order so I'm not a prisoner In my own home.
Furthermore supposedly you can annoyingly sign up with FedEx then sign in for "delivery management". I tried that so I don't need to be home and I am totally serious and I'm using much more vulgar words in my head. They are shipping an internet based code over the actual USPS mail. Swear to god it said to allow my code to arrive within 3-5 business days. You know those codes that every other website on the planet sends to your email, the same email that was required by FedEx to request the code... You can't make that up people. You can't do it. No one could fathom such stupidity. By the way this package is already a day late. This was the first FedEx I had in about 2 years and I thought must be better. Nope. From now on I deal with no vendor that deals with FedEx.

Three days later when the packages arrive the boxes look like they’ve been in shipping for months all beat up broken, sides all torn apart. They look like they keep the boxes down a flight of stairs several times. They were sitting on the porch and it look like it was a pile of garbage. The stop that was inside of the boxes was basically leaking out the boxes.
On top of that FedEx wasn’t even the one that delivered and it was a Budget truck! They do not care about the customers because I would’ve said more pride in taking care of the boxes. I understand the box get beat up a little bit here and there but these boxes were not even together. Every box was opened the table. Sides had holes in them or was ripped. For three days they should not look nowhere near that.

I called them on Friday to have the delivery stopped so that I could pick up the sofa and was given a confirmation number to pick up the item at the warehouse in Livonia, MI. I get to the warehouse today and was told that the sofa was on a truck going to an office that is closed in Canton, Mi and the manager has no way to call the driver to see what time he would return.
I call the 800 number and they tell me that there was miscommunication with them and the warehouse and I can't get the sofa until Monday. I have made several arrangements to get this item and Monday will not work. I work two jobs and no one will be available to accept the delivery. The manager at the warehouse said she had to go to a meeting of course so she could not see how to get ahold of the driver. I find it ridiculous that a company is unable to contact an employee. I am very dissatisfied with this ordeal and will have to cancel this order. I find it ridiculous that a massive company like FedEx does not have means to reach their drivers and can't read a note that states customer will be coming to pick up the shipment. My name is Raj and I am a student. This review is regarding my package delivery. When I tracked my package, I saw that it had arrived San Jose before 10 AM PST but, still not delivered to me. The comments read they tried delivering but, the customer was not available which is wrong since I was at home the entire day. So, I sent out emails/tickets to ask for my package to be delivered as soon as possible since it had all perishable food items shipped by my parents from India. I even mentioned in the complaint that I am not asking for any compensation or any refunds. The only thing that I am requesting is my package or else all the food items will be damaged. I sent out two more requests but, haven't received any response. (Ticket /incident numbers are: ** and **, third Email Reference Number: **).
So, after losing my patience I called the customer care number: 1800-463-3339 at around 5:37 PM PST. A lady picks up the call and I tell her my issue. She tells me that, "You can come and pick up the package from the nearby facility." I told her that I am a student and don't have a car and the package weighs more than 60 lbs so, please redeliver. She then tells me that, "We tried delivering but, since the delivery boy didn't have the gate code, he returned." My parents have send me food items before in the past via FedEx and it has been delivered every time because they do have the gate code. I told her that my leasing office has separate gate codes for all delivery services like FedEx, DHL, Amazon etc. She tells me that delivery boy who knows the code is not here. But, how is that my mistake? Why do you guys keep giving lame excuses!
I was ready to come down to pick up my package but, she tells me, "We don't allow them personal cell phones." I told her what about emailing me from a company group email address. She says, "We don't have one." She tells me, "We deliver only once so, we won't do it." I had to go to my class and so, I got frustrated and told her to transfer the call to her manager or boss. She transfers the call and the next person assures me that she will talk to San Jose facility center and get it redelivered. I also gave her the gate code that I use.
Soon after I get a call from Milpitas office: ** at around 6:30 PM PST. I get out of my class midway to attend the call as I knew it would be regarding my package. Another lady tells me that, "We cannot redeliver." She tells me, "We will deliver tomorrow." I tell her that how can you be so unprofessional to which she replies that, "I am doing a favor to you." She starts talking rudely to me. According to her, FedEx is doing a favor for me. I asked her to at least try and redeliver tomorrow morning. But, she tells me that we need to put some request and it depends upon when that request gets approved and all. Meanwhile, I also sent out few emails to the FedEx CEO.
I wait till next day afternoon and still don't get it. I again call customer care and she tells me she couldn't get in touch with anyone at the facility and she has put a request to redeliver. So, I again send an email to FedEx CEO explaining the situation and the executive specialist to the CEO calls me on 11/15/18 2:12 PM PST saying that all she can do is get it redelivered it tomorrow since they do not have any truck drivers in the afternoon. This is strange for such a big company. She talked to the manager at the facility and called me back that she will try to redeliver it by tomorrow which means it is already 6 days past since it was delivered from India. So, basically I just have an option to leave early from my internship workplace and go there in an Uber or Lyft and get the package. Waste of money and time which I don't think they will compensate. And even after that half of the refrigerate food items would be damaged.
I don't think I am going to refer FedEx to any students here whose parents send them food items especially during festival season and to find it damaged because of late deliveries and giving. All I wanted was my package to be delivered asap. Our food, money and time have been wasted just because of sheer unprofessional and bad attitude of FedEx employees. I am sorry to say this but, I have never seen worst customer treatment like this before by any company or organization. I don't want any student like me who is eagerly waiting for his food package from foreign country to go through the same. Hopefully, some action is taken against those employees. Just writing this so others can be aware of this before using FedEx delivery service.

Today, I got a call from their supplies department that they cannot fulfill it because those boxed are for flat rate shipping only that they are on an embargo and are not shipping supplies from the until the end of the month. Never mind that I called in the order with an urgent note on it. FedEx decided to call to tell me this 4 days later and offered zero sympathies and never mind solutions.
FedEx, I truly hope someday you realize that your success only depends on how well you treat your clients. I've had many issues with you and your teams and your lack of empathy, understanding of the client, and honoring the fact that they chose your company to help them realize their companies dreams should not be treated so poorly. I am truly disappointed and would NEVER recommend you for anything! After explaining the situation to FedEx in detail we were surprised by their diffident attitude to the issues discussed and found that some junior employee - who does not even know us or our business history sitting in front of a computer was able to freeze our account and all pending invoices were sent to our suppliers for payment. The Sales people in FedEx who we deal with were helpless and impotent in this issue.
The shocker was that many invoices which had been paid by us were not recognized in the FedEx system and those shippers were sent notices to pay for those shipments. We have now realized that no one in FedEx knows what is happening - no one is control or accountable. Their departments work on their own without any cohesion or responsibility. They were good but highly avoidable now! You trust the Sales personnel you deal with - but then you realize that they are powerless and ill informed when put against the inefficient FedEx CFS.
