I live in a rural area not too far from a major city about 20 mins. Every time I order something from a company online and they use FedEx. I have the same problem and get the same answer. Never fails. Here is the response I get from FedEx, “Could not deliver package because the gate was locked.” Will try to deliver again. The problem with that is there is no gate on my driveway but somehow it ends up at my door the next day a day late. I hate depending on FedEx for my packages.

Please do not use FedEx. They severely delay shipping packages and get things there on their own timeframe. I have yet to get one package from them on time and when you call in to get status, they tell you your package can sit for days at each facility until enough packages arrive to ship to your office. You’re better off using USPS. Much faster that way.

I rarely leave reviews but I just have to warn anyone (and if you read this LISTEN TO ME): DO NOT USE FEDEX FOR DELIVERY. If you want to order something and you see shipping is FedEx it will be late. I ordered a phone on Thursday at 1pm (2-day shipping) and I won't receive it until tomorrow (the following Tuesday). If you count Thursday that's 6 days/5 business days which is ridiculous since I NEED MY PHONE FOR WORK. I can't get a refund since technically my item was expensive enough for free 2-day shipping only it's not, it's 1-week shipping. This is definitely not the first time with them. It has happened every time I have ever ordered with them. That said, I have never had a problem with either UPS or USPS so I would definitely recommend them while FedEx should be a last resort.

Destination is Lakewood WA which is NORTH??? They should have been delivered already by the end of the day coming from Portland IF they would have drove north instead of east???

I was told by the company I bought the phone from that that was not accurate. That it was sent out on time. My new delivery was scheduled for Friday and never showed up. Now the tracking number pulls up a message that says, "No delivery status available at this time". Really frustrated with them right now. ): I've never had this issue with UPS.

It was a rainy day. I stayed home in anticipation of the delivery. The notice said that the ETA was late afternoon. I checked the tracking info at 2 pm and history stated that it has been delivered at 11 am. To my consternation, the package was in my front yard soaking in the rain. The driver did not ring the bell. I had to push and shove the soaked package inside. What type of customer service is this? The driver should have rang the bell. I would have opened the garage door and let the driver carry it in to keep dry.

I order often from chewy.com and I love it. Except they use FedEx... I've never had a problem until recently. Guarantee shipping 1-2 days. Well my one package was late and when it finally said delivered left at door. I opened my door to find nothing there. I live in an apartment complex. My manager caught someone trying to take off with my goods. They had left it outside the main door of my building but the wrong door. They didn't bother to knock or even walk it up the steps (it was really heavy too). I had no idea it was even there. 2nd package tracking said out for delivery for 2 days. My product was 4 days late and once again they left it outside on the bench didn't bother to bring it upstairs or even tell anyone that they had this tiny box (meds for my cat). Too lazy of workers and I've already filed complaints and yet to hear anything back.

It's Friday and now customer service said it's 5 days via Ground from my location! What! Grr, Never again. Now my customer is going to refuse delivery and I'll have to pay return shipping. $60 down the drain and a $250 sale lost. I wish I could use Amazon shipping for my packages. They are always delivered on time.

When I browse the web, I run a couple of "blocker" solutions: a third-party tracking cookie blocker, and a lightweight proxy which blocks all third-party embedded/forwarded content (which is typically advertising, which in my experience can contain malware and which has caused me no end of trouble in the past). Note that this does not block cookies set by a site itself for its own purposes (such as remembering who I am and/or whether I am "logged in", etc), nor does it block advertising hosted/served by the site itself (which would presumably be vetted by the site before they host/serve it, so they don't end up effectively becoming a "malware site" with all the ensuing consequences).

Just in the past day or so, https://www.fedex.com has completely quit working for me. I have all tracking cookies set by www.fedex.com blocked, but my proxy reports www.fedex.com is trying to access all of the following sites, simply in the process of serving FedEx parcel tracking information: fls.doubleclick.net, www.google-analytics.com, statse.webtrendslive.com, adservice.google.com, sb.scorecardresearch.com.

Note that the above do NOT appear to be cookies, they appear to be actual third-party web content that www.fedex.com is embedding in its own content or is attempting to forward me through in the process of serving their own content (all of which I presume is intended to serve a purpose similar to that of a tracking cookie). This is the first time I have seen this. This is unusually invasive, and implemented in an unusual fashion, to the point that my security measures effectively disable www.fedex.com completely (and in fact www.fedex.com times out, which is not the case with the entire rest of the legitimate web). Additionally, when I temporarily disable my proxy, www.fedex.com "works".

I take a dim view of this. Apparently FedEx believes it is entitled to know my browsing habits and to make use of me and my equipment for their own purposes without my knowledge or consent, and without compensating me... AND they appear to be attempting to circumvent conventional tracking cookie blocker measures using these tricks. I will be contacting all of my suppliers to find out which of them offer carriers BESIDES FedEx, and in cases where a supplier does not, I will change suppliers (or in the last resort simply do without parcel tracking). I feel the consumer public should be made aware of these strange measures being inflicted by FedEx. Hopefully this provides some useful information, and is helpful.

Tracking says it's on the truck and out for delivery but never comes. I call customer service and they say it never made it on the truck even though tracking says it is on the truck. I used to own a FedEx Ground route and I know that was a flat-out untruth. If it's scanned on the truck it is on the truck and the driver just didn't make it here. Yes, you can own a FedEx Ground route and a home delivery route. Now you're not dealing with a company you're dealing with an individual as well. Double jeopardy.

Company does not attempt to deliver expedited parcels to home or apartments and just leaves Door Tag for customer to drive 20-30 minutes to designated location for pick up. When we argued for the next day delivery and left our phone to call when they come to the door, they simply did not deliver package again and when we called, they simply said sorry from India call centre and that they will attempt to deliver next day again. It is a scam, perpetrated by the lazy drivers and the company allowed them to do such fraud without punishment. So they do not provide delivery service but make you go to pick it up so this way they can pretend to delivery many more packages per day, as delivery takes time but dropping off large number of packages at the designated location takes much less time. Disgusting that one time a great company became just another customer fraudster.

After no help at all from FedEx, the shipper decided to overnight another package to me. He sent it yesterday from Minnesota overnight. It was picked up at 5:00 pm, flown to Texas, then to Oregon where it was checked into the FedEx facility at 6:00 am. 13 hours. Not bad right? Then FedEx decided to keep it there and move the delivery date to tomorrow. So from my city to my door (30 minutes away) it will take about 30 plus hours. This company stinks. I have been waiting on an update for this one specific item, a large item yes, but the last update was on Saturday (March 2, 2019). It is now Tuesday (March 5, 2019) about to be Wednesday (March 6, 2019). I don't know how this item is being shipped, if by land or air, but you know... A little more details would be nice. Delayed due to weather? Where is it currently? Since I doubt this item is still in Indiana. I wish I could choose who is delivering this item at checkout on Amazon, but they don't exactly have a feature for that yet. 50 years of service, multi-million dollars. You'd think they'd update their servers and stuff to make it easier for customers to not have to hawk around their own property to make sure it gets to them on time and not risk porch poachers getting it before you do. UPS, USPS, etc... They're more competent than FedEx is.

FedEx is hands down the worst shipping provider I have ever dealt with. Their delivery staff is lazy and will not even attempt to deliver a package. I have left more than one signed tag for a delivery for it still to be sent back to the warehouse. One instance I was waiting for a package from Amazon and unfortunately FedEx was delivering my package. I go check my mailroom about 1015am and there is nothing there, no package or no slip. Two hours later I get a notification that delivery was unsuccessful as no one was home...I go to the mail room and there is a slip saying resident was not home with a time of 1000am.

Another instance I talked with customer service three times, I had two signed slips and special instructions for delivery entered, on top of that I had a handwritten note saying to LEAVE THE PACKAGE IF NOT HOME. I also signed that. SO two signed FedEx slips, notes from customer service, and a handwritten note to the delivery. I never got the package, customer service just said that the drop off location was not appropriate to leave the package (This is while there are packages from every other shipping co in the mail room! Even had packages left from other carriers already there!).

Long and short of it is that FedEx is the worst package delivery service. When I order from Amazon (I do a lot) I loathe to see that my package is being handled by FedEx. I just assume that I will not get that package from the get go. Honestly I think that since I am in a Condo complex the drivers are too lazy to carry the package to the mail room and just leave slips that delivery was unsuccessful. I have even had drivers try to scratch out the signature area in the missed delivery slip so I cant sign for it (this even happens for packages that specifically do NOT need a sig to leave per customer service). FedEx is a garbage company. Do not ship packages with FedEx. If possible do no business with FedEx. Do not invest in FedEx, if you have then please sell your stock. There is no reason for this company to still exist. Even Amazon's delivery with random people dropping stuff off like Uber Eats is much better than FedEx.

It is unrealistic the way they are. Then change estimated delivery dates without any notice. Suggested delivery on any sites that uses FedEx is always one to three days off of what they estimate originally. My original estimated date was the 1st-4th. Now it is the 5th-6th. And the expected didn't affect it. When it got in good weather it stopped moving. Somehow made it through Illinois and Indiana with winter weather and gets to Oregon which bad weather is over for now, and it stops moving. I placed an order form Target for an item my closest store did not have. With my Target debit card, I get free two day shipping which is useful when you need something quick. I am located in California and the shipment was sent from another California store. I got a notification saying that my package would be delivered on Friday (two days from delivery date). My husband and I were both home all day and were waiting for our package to arrive. At 11:30 am I get a notification saying there was an exception due to a customer not being available or business closed.

Now, we live in a gated community so I would understand if it was a gate issue. However, we have never had issues with a delivery truck coming in. When we left the house around noon, we saw a FedEx truck (which I’m assuming was not the one carrying my package) come in through the gate to deliver to someone else’s condo in my complex. An update from FedEx said that the package would be delivered the next day (Saturday). Again, we waited and again our package’s status changed to “delivery exception. Customer not available/business closed”??? Two days with a delivery exception and location is still the city over. I downloaded the app to keep better track of my shipment and noticed there was a door tag ID listed. We never got a door tag. As of today, our package was updated to be in transit and will be delivered tomorrow. I sure hope so.

What I don’t understand is how the excuse that a customer was not available or business was closed makes sense when both myself and my husband were at home both times AND we saw a FedEx truck enter our complex for another person’s delivery telling me business was in fact not closed. Is this just a way to pass the blame on the customer instead of admitting there was a mistake on their end? I would definitely have more respect for the company if I had gotten an honest update. Because this is the first time I have had major issues with a delivery I won’t give them a one star.

Ordered something on Newegg's site. It's the last thing I need for my build and so I ordered and even paid for "Newegg Next Business Day" at checkout for an additional $20. That day was 3/1/19 at around 11:30 am EST. Opted for the "faster processing" so they would ship it out the same day. So good, I order it then I get it Saturday 3/2/19 right? Nope, not even close. First thing that happened was I woke up and checked if it was on the move, no it was not. It was still in NJ at 11:45 pm and by 7:15 am 3/2/19 it finally moves, so I was assuming it would get to me since I'm only 2 states away from there. Takes a bit of time to get it in my state then a few hours more to actually get to my house.

So I waited all day for it and guess what, I waited for nothing. I don't know who to blame, Newegg for being deceptive or FedEx for goofing off. If they shipped with UPS this would NEVER have happened. Everything would run smoothly. UPS actually ships things overnight instead of doing a "well it's 11 pm time to close, see you at 7 am to move it" thing.

FedEx was getting freaky on me saying I'd get it 3/2/19 then turn around and say 3/5/19 (which is 3 business day) to right back to 3/2/19 within 20 mins from getting an email about it changing to 3/5/19. Make up your mind, am I getting it 3/2 or not. Now it's just sitting at "PENDING". What the heck is pending FedEx? No little '?' like they normally would have with something explaining what it could mean. Overall just an awful nightmare. Got my hopes of finally finishing my computer build with that one important part. Nope. First Amazon was getting wonky on me, now Newegg/FedEx.

Now almost 7 pm and tracking site says no known delivery date at this time. It is coming from Dallas to Oklahoma City and it will take more than five days. At least I didn't pay for 2nd day delivery this time as I have in the past. There was a time when FedEx'ed meant on time delivery. They have become a joke. I would rather use USPS as it is cheaper and generally on time.

Walked all over property in front yard and side and even called the post office. Nothing. So I called FedEx. Explained no package was delivered, we have no neighbors. Nearest one is on different road. So it will be resent, however, if it was delivered here the way the notice said and it was taken, it's creepy to think that someone would be lurking in the bushes to grab a package especially since this is not a neighborhood nor or there any other houses.

Well this was not true because I've been home all day. I called and spoke to a rep asking him why driver did not ring my bell. He said no signature was required, so the driver (at his discretion) could leave the package in an unsecured area or take it back for redelivery. Okay, that's fine. However, the driver took the time to leave a tag on the door, but could not ring the bell (which is right next to the door). I've gone on the site and left delivery instructions, signed up for text/email updates. I have no idea what else I can do. The service is horrible. s end

I have had FedEx deliver my packages to my neighbors house, several times, so I call, being this 4th time, wasn't even at my neighbors, but rather, taken to the local post office for them to deliver, costing me a fee, again, because the driver didn't want to leave at the gate, or come up my driveway. After 4 hours on the phone with them, they would not fix the situation, and will not reimburse for their mistake. The Tracy California hub is an absolute joke! Mind you, there are only 2 houses on our street, and our address is on our metal gate, at the top, with numbers and letters 12 inches high, our driveway has been recently regraveled, and is perfectly fine. OnTrac delivers in a beat up old Ford Windstar and has zero problems with our driveway. FedEx has the worst customer service, and the most lazy drivers I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. If you can, pay the extra shipping charge if it means avoiding the use of this company.

It is not mine, I never ordered it and I haven't used that name in 30 years! 2 phone calls and 1 email later to FedEx to retrieve the package, assurances that "it will be picked up by 2 pm" etc all to no avail. This package has now sat through the rain for 1.5 weeks.

My most recent communication with "Emily" a supervisor at FedEx is again requesting the tracking number (given on previous communications X 3) or she cannot help me. We have FedEx on my street at least daily. The lack of professionalism of not being willing to correct their error is mind boggling. While tracking the part I saw that it was on a truck scheduled for delivery. So I contacted my mechanic and let him know that the part was on its way. Checked a few hours later and tracking said delivery exception. I called FedEx customer service to find out what was going on. The service rep looked into it and said that someone would call me around 5:30 pm to explain what was going on. Waited till around 6:00 to call back. Got a different service rep who put me on hold for 7 minutes then the line went dead.

Called back again and talked to the third service rep who initially tried to blow me off. I explained the whole ordeal again and she called the local hub to see what was going on. She said she talked to the QA department and my part had not arrived back at the hub yet and that someone would call me around 8:30 am tomorrow to explain what was going on with my property.

2:00 pm the next day still no call. Called in again. Had to go over the same information for the 4th time. This time the rep said she talked with the hub and that there was only one person who could answer my questions and he was not going to be in till 5:30 pm today and he would give me a call to explain everything. I am not holding out much hope that he will call. I have now lost three days that my mechanic has also lost and still I have no more information than when I first saw delivery exception. The service reps have all been very polite and nice but do not promise something if you know it is not going to happen. Honesty goes a long way.

This problem has not been resolved by FedEx over the last year. My mail and packages go to the nearest post office since we live in a very rural area without home mail delivery. Packages delivered by USPS or UPS seem to make it to us. But, when we buy something which is sent FedEx Express, we don't get the item. The package gets returned to the sender because the FedEx driver cannot get to the post office before the post office closes. The driver just keeps arriving after the post office closes and leaves a message that the "business was closed or customer not available". One definition of stupidity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. FedEx Express out of Las Cruces fits that definition.

Of course, when the driver arrives at 5:31 pm and the post office closes at 3:30 pm, the package will never get delivered. I have called FedEx Customer Service which seems to be in the Philippines and has no clue as to what is going on. I have called FedEx shipping centers which has been no help. I have asked to speak with the office that delivers the Express packages and have been told that I cannot get that number. Terrible service that just remains poor. Updated on 02/27/2019: My continued saga about FedEx. Today is 2/27/2019. Delivery was to be made between 10 am and 1:30 pm, called them at approx. 1:00 pm. No delivery. Said the driver was already here and no one knocked on my door since I have been home all day, FedEx now sent me an email that tomorrow it would be delivered again between 10 am and 1:30 pm and it would be shipped back the vendor. Makes no sense, they wanted me to pick it up at the local FedEx but the box weighs 39 pounds and having problems with both arms I can only lift 5 pounds and have no one to help me. So I spoke with the vendor and once they receive the package that is being sent back they will kindly replace the items to me at no additional cost, by the way they require an adult signature and I have waited and waited, called FedEx again and they are all very apologetic but no one can help. What a racket!!!

Original Review: FedEx was to deliver package to me that required an adult signature on Feb. 23rd, 2019. I stayed home all day but received a notice that I was not home and said they would deliver it on Tuesday. I called FedEx to let them know I had a doctors appointment at 11:20 am and would not home until after 2:00 pm, they suggested that the delivery be about 2:00 pm. I arrived home. I received message that the driver was here at 11:28 am and would deliver on Wednesday. So all of my efforts of waiting (now for Wednesday) all 3 days have been useless. Called FedEx to complain, driver couldn't come back Tuesday because they said he was in another city and they can't help me. I even called the vendor that is sending me the package and asked to have another carrier delivery any future packages. Customer service is absolutely horrible.

It was also torn from the driver struggling to get box off truck. I understand they have dollies but do not know how to use them. My workbench was heavily damaged. I did not have a box to ship damaged desk back in.

Another desk was shipped, of course although the box said do not lift by straps...the driver did and left it again with a broken box in the snow on my driveway... Having no boxes we loaded the 2 benches in truck. Took to store for refund. Ordered desk instead off Amazon and it appears they also use FedEx now... Although I put a sticker to ring bell so my husband could accept package the FedEx driver dumped it next to the sign. Did not ring the bell and the bottom of the box is damaged yet again. Amazon has begun to ship through FedEx home delivery to our house. We live beside a creek, and have a long, gravel driveway that goes up a hill to our house. The driver for our route has now failed to deliver our packages on 3 or 4 occasions due to rain. We know this because we have filed multiple complaints, and after talking to the station manager, she informed us that the driver chose not to attempt driving up the driveway because it’s “too dangerous.” I’m sorry, but we live here and it’s not dangerous at all, so that is simply bogus. UPS and USPS deliver every time regardless of rain.

I know FedEx policy is to allow driver to have discretion, but this driver (if it’s the same person) has left us without a gift for my mother-in-law, and without food for our dogs. The alternative is driving into town (we live in a rural area) and picking up extra items to make up for this. Yet we aren’t compensated by FedEx. FedEx is a horrible company, and despite multiple complaints, the same issues keep coming up. I don’t know what to do. I can’t seem to stop Amazon from picking their service, I can’t get resolution from the station... I’m stuck. I guess next is to file a BBB complaint, though I seriously doubt that will resolve anything. I will never choose FedEx when I have options, and probably even when I don’t. I decided to write this review after my 3 awful experience with this company. My main concern is the lack of importance they have on a person’s time. My first experience was of not getting my package because it needed a signature, which I understood so I called and asked for it to be saved at a location for me to pick up. It was not saved, however, it was attempted to be delivered again. I called and they said it could not be held and they were sorry they didn’t tell me. So then I asked when I should be at home. They said between any time from 8am-8pm but based on the last attempt “probably” 930-1130.

So I went to my mailing address at 9 only to find they had already dropped by. I called again and they wouldn’t let me pick it up or attempt once more. Took me 1 hour on the phone to finally have my package delivered the next day. The second time I thought I learned my lesson so I set up a profile. Tracked the package on their map, got text message updates and left specific instructions on the website. Again, I didn’t get my package.

For 2 days it kept saying the package was rescheduled for the next day. According to the map, package wasn’t near me. I find out on the 3 day that they attempted to deliver but I had no clue because no name was placed on the slip that was left on the door and my family didn’t know who to notify that they missed a package. FedEx didn’t tell me they attempted to deliver only that I was rescheduled (I thought it was just delayed) and according to their customer support, the messages only tells you the day they will deliver but not a ballpark time. They stated it will be from 8am to 8pm. So they expect me to be there 12 hours and refused to give me other options. I offered to pick it up, have it delivered elsewhere, schedule it for another day, but nothing. It would be returned to sender if I wasn’t there the 3rd day! I can believe they are still in service.

Even though it was already at a facility 30 min away from our home on the 15th. Checked tracking on the 18th, said on its way from the facility. Did NOT get delivered on the 18th. Called today on the 19th, and the rep said, "It's due to bad weather and should be there tomorrow on the 20th." At this time there was no bad weather so not clear why that's their excuse. We live in Washington state and it rains here all the time. Ugh!!! Anyways this is the 2nd time that a package was delayed by FEDEX! This never happens with UPS! UPS actually delivers as promised. I’m never the one to complain but this company has been getting on my last nerves. So I ordered an Apple Watch series 3 on Friday and just had to verify some things with AT&T which was fine for the squared away. Finally left the warehouse and days gone by I kept an eye of the tracking. Was getting closer but today 30 mins before it was suppose to arrive it was pending saying that the address wasn’t an existing one yet just had one drop off a package an hour ago. They finally called me back after I talked to customer support. They asked where I was. Told them thought I was going to receive it before 530 then I take a look at the app. Guess what? It’s back at the facility and they told me that it won’t be back out till tomorrow. Seriously couldn’t just go back out try one more time. By far the worst company ever. I don’t know why most companies use them when they keep pulling the same crap and never learn from it.

I ordered something from a department store. I looked at the tracking number and it stated the package was delivered. I called the store to verify my address, to see what might have happened. The store did state they didn't include the apartment or unit number on the shipping label. I called Fedex to see what happened. Someone from the tracking department encouraged me to contact the department store where the item had been shipped. I stated the address was incomplete, as there was no apartment number or unit number. I asked how was the package delivered if there wasn't any apartment number or unit number. I got no explanation but to be told they weren't familiar with the department store's policy on delivering items.

I explained I wasn't interested in the department store's policies for mailing out items. I was only interested in how a package had been randomly delivered at some apartment because the mailing label didn't state where to deliver the item. No reply was given. I'm not interested in empty apologies. This does not rectify the issue. Having a policy on how to handle situations such as this one would be the right step in rectifying this issue, instead of acting as though nothing wrong had happened. They should have accepted responsibility for their mistakes and offered some form of compensation for this.

Also on the same tracking page it said the next attempt would be tomorrow. I called CS to find out what was going on and was told the package was going back to the shipper. Also that someone would be in touch with me by 5:30, guess what happened? I have never had this problem with UPS or USPS. On February 1st FedEx made possession of a package in Erlanger, KY, containing a coffee table I had purchased on Amazon. It is my understanding that the package arrived in Tacoma, WA (where I live) on Wednesday, February 6th and it was out for delivery on Thursday, February the 7th. On Thursday evening the package was marked as delivered but it was nowhere to be found and after the seller and I contacted FedEx we were told that the driver had attempted to deliver my package around 5 pm but there was no one and he felt unsure about leaving my package outside.

He had already scanned the package as delivered so he just took it back to the truck and drove back to the local FedEx facility with it. This is problem number one. The concierge office in my building was open until 6 pm on Thursday and there were 3 people working in it, and me and my husband were home since 2:30 pm on that day. There was no attempt to deliver my package.

The Pacific Northwest was hit with a snowstorm on Friday that was on and off until Monday morning. But I am lucky enough to live in the waterfront/museum district in my city and the roads in and into my neighborhood, including the highway between the FedEx facility in Fife and us, were clean and ready very quickly. In fact, FedEx Express was delivering packages in my building on Tuesday, alongside UPS and USPS. I called FedEx again (so did the seller) and was told that my package should be delivered by the end of the day. That is problem number two: my package was not delivered and there was no clear information of the status of my package online.

Wednesday, February 13th came and went, I had a nice chat with the FedEx Express delivery guy who was again delivering to my building, and saw two school buses bring children to the Glass Museum next door (so, unstable, light-weight buses that carry children were driving around already), but my package never arrived. I called FedEx again and was given a case number (**) and was told that FedEx was on it. An hour later, I got a phone call from a FedEx representative who assured me my package was going to be delivered the next day. I asked to be allowed to pick my package up myself at the FedEx facility but was told that it was not necessary and they would deliver it the next day.

Thursday came, 8 days after FedEx had schedule my package for delivery. Thursday went and I had no package. I called FedEx again and was said that the package had been in the delivery van, but weather conditions did not allow for it to be delivered... Once again, we had no additional snow, the roads were completely cleared, and all other delivery companies had delivered packages that day (I received 2 myself from UPS). Thursday was a perfectly normal day; all school districts and schools had been open and all business had been functioning in the entire metro area. And yet, I still had no package and was getting what seemed to me like a very silly excuse.

That would be problem three. I was then assured that my package would be delivered on Friday. I asked again to be allowed to pick my package up in the FedEx facility and was told that it was impossible because my package was in the delivery van. I should wait because my package was absolutely going to be delivered the next day. By now I assume you suspect what problem four is: I never got my package and today, Saturday the 16th, I called FedEx again in the morning. I was transferred to a representative who was clearly very irritated with me and was incredibly dismissive.

I was told that FedEx had a lot of packages to deliver, that they were behind in deliveries, and that I should wait because my package was definitely out for delivery. I asked again to be allowed to pick it up in person and was told, again, that it was impossible because my package was in the delivery van. This particular representative had little time for me and insisted that I should wait. When I asked what to do if my package was not delivered today, I was told that Monday was a holiday so perhaps I would get it on Tuesday or could then try to make arrangements to go pick it up myself. That would be Tuesday, February the 19th, 18th days after FedEx took possession of my package and 13 days since the original delivery date. That would be problem four.

I understand the area got hit by an unexpected snow storm but the delivery person could have actually made the delivery on the original date it was scheduled (we have had problems with FedEx delivery persons not delivering packages before and marking them as delivered. Last time I spent an entire weekend trying to locate a package that the local FedEx office could not locate because the delivery guy was gone for the weekend and only him knew if he had actually delivered the missing package or if it was someplace else to be delivered later). Or the package could have been delivered in any of the following 5 days that the city and the area were back in full operations and clean and ready.

Neither I, nor the seller have been offered reimbursement for the delivery fee. Frankly, we haven’t been offered anything, not even a truthful delivery date or an opportunity for me to pick up my package. At this point, I feel like I will have to go out of my way to ensure that nothing I buy is every shipped with FedEx and offer any seller to pay extra to use a different company, along with advice anyone I know to avoid your services. It is February the 16th and my problem had received no resolution and I feel grossly mistreated.

For example, I received an email Wednesday informing me that an item I ordered would arrive on Feb. 15. I had planned on going to my vacation home on Thursday evening, Feb. 14th. Since the package was supposed to arrive on Friday, Feb. 15th I cancelled the trip and wait all day Friday for the package to arrive.

After the package did not arrive by 8 pm I checked the tracking information and still the information said the item was scheduled for delivery on the 15th. About 10 pm I checked the tracking information again and the delivery date had been changed to Monday, Feb. 18th. Fed Ex cost me a mini vacation with their erroneous delivery information. Several times over the past year the same thing has happened. Why can't Fed Ex provide the correct delivery date for packages. I have never had this problem with UPS. I have had multiple packages lost by FedEx in the last 3 weeks. I live in a new neighborhood and the street does not show up on gps yet. I do understand the challenge this presents, but we have had items delivered by FedEx before as have our neighbors. Also when Amazon delivers they actually call if they need help finding the house, this concept is foreign to FedEx.

The issue I have is twofold. The first is baffling to me as I cannot comprehend how the driver goes to a different town, different street name and different house number and I assume looks at the label on the package and decides it’s close enough. This is either due to lack of training, incompetence or apathy. My second issue is the run around I have gotten and continue to get from their customer service. The first incident they lost my package from Rock Auto (so I can fix my car) and a package of diapers and necessities for my infant. They said they would look into it. Turns out the people in the other town called FedEx and asked them to please come get the packages.

This was never done and FedEx never got back to me. I had to call them and then they said there was nothing they could do. They said I had to call the seller directly and start lost package proceedings which I did. So fast forward 2 weeks and guess what? They delivered my packages to a different town again! I called customer service again (did I mention the call center is in El Salvador). I got the same disingenuous double talk. I did receive a call from the Trace department? A lady named Katy. She asked questions about my house, but started getting defensive and snotty with me when I asked what keeps this from happening again? And why would a driver knowingly drop something off at the wrong address? She informed me it was not her job to know what the drivers do.

Anyway long story short I was told once again if in 5 days they can’t find my packages I must call the seller and start list package proceedings again. I’m really disappointed in the whole experience. I really need my packages and I got the idea that they didn’t really care if I got them or not and it was my responsibility to make a bunch of calls to fix this issue instead of them, the company who caused the issue. I personally will use Amazon or UPS in the future. Their customer service is much more responsive and they actually seem to care.

I was expecting a delivery. FedEx promised delivery on a specific date, and when I called to make sure (since their system hadn't updated in a while) they assured me that it would deliver on the promised day. After their usual delivery time had passed, I called again to check and again they promised it would arrive. Later in the day, I called again and they assured me again it would arrive so I asked them to verify. At that point, they admitted they had lost track of it. They got my number and promised to call me back. They didn't call me back. Instead, they just updated their system to show the package would arrive the next day. This was a problem since I'd taken the day off work to sign for this package after FedEx assured me it would arrive.

Up to this point, I have talked with about 14 people at FedEx. Each has either passed me on to someone else, or has promised me delivery within a window that wouldn't require me to drive an hour to pick it up, or take off work. During the process of talking with the folks at FedEx, more than once one of them has said, "that person couldn't have done what they promised you because we don't do that." In one case, a FedEx employee even told me, "the lady you talk to (a FedEx employee) lied to you."

Up to now, the only thing I have asked of FedEx is, since they didn't do what they'd initially promised, please help me receive my delivery without placing the entire burden of your error on me. Help out just a bit so it doesn't cost me money to alleviate the issue of you losing my package and having a deceitful system. That said, there is one station manager I spoke with who was not only polite (and many of them have been polite, but just unhelpful or complete liars) but she was also practical, offered useful options, and even though I'd have preferred a less burdensome result, at least didn't lie to me.

In closing, I won't be using FedEx again. When I buy from sellers online, I will not buy from them if their only option is to ship via FedEx. For company shipments, I will not use FedEx, and I will request suppliers to ship with anyone except for FedEx. I can accept screw-ups, to a point. I cannot accept dealing with a bunch of liars who pride themselves in deceiving their customers.

FedEx on the other hand... I order my dog food through Chewy.com (one of my dogs has a VERY sensitive stomach/stomach issues and can only handle one type of food, which I can only get online) well, Chewy uses FedEx to ship their products. The last 3 shipments have been late by up to a full week (7 days). 3 of those days I got text notifications it was on the truck for delivery (yet STILL did not get delivered). Each time I’ve called to complain the customer service representatives have been so rude and unaccountable for the company's lack of professionalism.

The last rep told me to just go “buy another dog food to hold them over...” with a dog who's been hospitalized due to stomach issues. This is NOT something you tell ANY customer let alone one who is dealing with health issues... So besides this issue, I live in a multi unit home. There are 3 levels. The lower level has an entrance in the front. My level has a side entrance and the very top level has the back entrance. For over a year now I have been filing MONTHLY complaints with FedEx and Chewy.com has been filing complains as well. FedEx KEEPS delivering to front door. The shipping label says in ALL CAPS "DELIVER SIDE DOOR." FedEx told me to download the app and put delivery instructions in there and I made it VERY CLEAR to DELIVER TO SIDE DOOR. You think they’d do it?? Not once have they delivered it to MY HOME.

The person they keep delivering to is elderly and frail, the box is 35 lbs. She has tripped over this box on her porch and most recently they placed the box directly in front of her door and she could not get out!!! I have cancelled all of my dealings with Chewy.com (They are awesome. Just can’t deal with FedEx anymore.) and all other companies I know use FedEx. I have never dealt with such a lack of common reading abilities (delivery side door) as well as I’ve made so many complaints that are being responded to with snide, rude remarks and keep falling on deaf ears. FedEx is the WORST shipping company I’ve ever dealt with and I will no longer do business with ANY company who uses them! Amazon has only used UPS with all of my orders, and you can find anything on Amazon, so I will be officially ordering everything from them. FedEx should be absolutely ashamed, I don’t know how they are still in business.

Had an iPad delivered from Apple. Of course carriers know that packages from Apple are from AI. Supposed to be delivered February 2. Never delivered despite being 'out for delivery' but tracking status updated each day after saying 'to be delivered by end of day **'. February 7 still not delivered and status changes from 'to be delivered by end of day' to 'pending'. I contact Apple and they see the same and ship a replacement immediately. They file a claim (I know this because I couldn't file one because it had already been filed) and the minute a claim is filed the status changes to 'Delivered Feb 3 at 3:28 PM to 'front door'. Now this is just BS because I was home all day waiting for this package on the 2nd and 3rd and I have ring doorbell that would've shown anyone that came to the door.

So, perhaps they delivered to the wrong door. Could happen, but then you're telling me they also forgot to mark it as 'delivered'. What are the chances of that? I admit, it could happen, however I have about 6-8 packages delivered each week. I have had UPS deliver to the wrong door and neighbors always come by and return to the correct owner. It just seems too coincidental that the driver delivered to the wrong door, forgot to mark it as delivered, and it just so happens to be from Apple. FedEx tries to say it's impossible, but they could easily 'misdeliver' to a friend's house and obtain the contents later. I am pretty sure if it were delivered to my neighbors, they would have returned it. Shady and I don't trust them. I looked it up and there was a large case of FedEx employees stealing iPhones around Christmas time. Would never trust this Company. Hopefully Amazon will drive them out of business.

If I could have given FedEx zero stars, I would have. They are a lazy, horrible service. They've delayed our package delivery twice now for "weather delays" when every other carrier has delivered and I do know that because we had a package delivered from UPS and USPS on the same day we were originally supposed to receive the package from FedEx. Their customer service is awful and even when I chatted with a "live person", they send me copy paste answers that have no relevance to what I had asked about. Never will I ever use FedEx again, if I can help it.

FedEx is the absolute worst postal service you could ever use. Sent my sister a birthday package, but is always at work when FedEx comes to deliver. They will not leave the package on her porch no matter how often we call in and no matter how many bites we leave. She cannot get a simple package because FedEx WILL NOT GIVE HER THE PACKAGE! Never use FedEx. They’re pricey, they do not care about complaint calls, and will not give my sister a stinking birthday present. Paying USPS to deliver in two days is 10x more better than FedEx despite the prices.

FedEx is notorious about not delivering packages in my area, they always say that nobody was home or they need a code to get through the gate. There is no gate, just a driveway, and I set outside all day waiting for an important delivery just to get a text at 3pm that it was a failed delivery, nobody was home. The package doesn’t require a signature so if nobody was home why not just leave it? Easy, he never came down my road, never came to the house.

FedEx has consistently been the worst shipping service of the top three available. I've had problems with USPS and UPS before, but for the most part they are consistent and punctual. FedEx however, is consistent only in its inconsistency. I had a package arrive 2 weeks late in January 2019 because it sat in a warehouse 2 miles from my house. Anytime I've paid for a faster delivery option it takes as long as the standard option for other services. What prompted this review is I paid for 2 day shipping on a package I ordered Thursday morning. According to FedEx tracking they had the package by Friday morning. The delivery time is now scheduled for Tuesday.

I understand the weekend can slow things down, but according to the tracking history it was moving across the country both Saturday and Sunday. Why would it not be delivered on Monday? I will never pay for an expedited shipping option with FedEx again, because they don't seem to care about what the customer has paid for. USPS, on the other hand, routinely surprises me with earlier than expected deliveries. In this situation they would probably have scheduled for Tuesday and then delivered it Monday. All things considered, between customer service and the way they treat employees, FedEx should not be used and hopefully will soon end up in the graveyard of failed, mismanaged companies.

Wish zero stars was an option. 1. It took FedEx 3 attempts to deliver a package over the course of 3 weeks because they damaged my product TWICE while in transit! The package was “successfully” delivered on the 3 attempt but on the wrong day. I paid twice to have package delivered during a specific timeframe. Need to confirm if my account was refunded. 2. I was expecting to have a very important package delivered and received delivery confirmation from FedEx. Arrived home but no package. I called FedEx but the only solution they offered was to have the driver or another dept call me back within 24 hours. I drove around the neighborhood to discover my important package was delivered to the wrong address. It’s been almost a week since I notified FedEx about my package and still no follow up call.

Having been a long-time customer of FedEx and my business having its own FedEx number for over 30 years, I wanted to let the consumer know that there is something wrong at the corporate level regarding the "bait-switch" tactic that they are using now to give a customer a rate quote. I recently called the 800 Fedex Rate Department and gave them the exact dimensions and weight, etc. of two identical boxes that would be traveling together and delivered to my business address. When I received the FedEx invoice, FedEx had put two different weights for the two identical boxes, and actually had charged me MORE for the box that weighed less!! Then I noticed that they had charged me around $35 MORE for the two boxes too than what I was quoted. So I called FedEx customer service billing department, and spoke with 4 different people, and was on hold for almost 1 hour.

The last agent told me that I should have read some place located on their website that what I was quoted would not be the same as what Fedex billed me!!?? - actually it was not even close. So I asked her why the identical size box that FedEX had said weighed less on their payment invoice was actually charged more by Fedex? She could not answer me. She said I would have to call back on Monday to speak to the Office of the Vice President of FedEx. She said that the number before was listed on the FedEx website, but they had taken it off now, and she could not give me that number!!!! I would suggest that Fedex Corporate get a new executive in the invoicing department and fire the current ones that have made up these new "creative" erroneous charges that according to the Fedex customer service rep that I spoke to - a regular Fedex customer would NEVER know until they received their inflated bill!

Well now here we are at 8:54 PM on Thursday night and it hasn't gotten here. So I called them. They told me that they can't guarantee that you'll even get here tomorrow. They said I could go pick it up but they can't tell me what time it would even be at the station. I was supposed to get a delivery on Tuesday. We had a snow event so on the tracking it showed that the shipment would be delivered by the end of the next day next day. That is understandable. So the next day I waited all day for my package to come. At the end of the day I got a message that the package was going to be delayed until the next day and it would be delivered at the end of the day. So I looked at the tracking the next day and there was a message that my package was put on a truck at 6:00 AM. At the end of that day I got a message that my package would be delivered at the end of the next day. Can you see why I am frustrated?

So I called up customer service and got the automated phone tree that said what I had already heard. I finally got a person. They were unapologetic, but did look into where my package was. They couldn’t guarantee that it would be delivered the next day so I had to have them hold it so I can go pick it up tomorrow. So much for a delivery service. By the way the streets were snowy the first day, but were clear every day after that. I drove my Camry easily on them so a big FedEx truck should have been able to travel them.

I've worked with their engineering team in the past and they are by far the most uneducated, lazy, and incompetent group of individuals so it's understandable that the service at FedEx is awful but also not an excuse. They have absolutely no idea how to do their jobs effectively and continue to disappoint again and again.

If this company was even remotely smart they would clear out their engineering teams responsible for distribution and delivery and put in someone who has a clue how to handle a role such as that. As an engineer who spent a few years in distribution I can assure you IT'S NOT THAT DIFFICULT to plan appropriate schedules and on time deliveries. Whoever is currently in charge of this role needs to understand their work is absolutely appalling and I will NEVER be using their services if I can help it. Carrie saw that we send FedEx daily and helped me to set up a daily service. She was diligent and did a lot of follow-up. Carrie trained Wes and he is awesome! My only fear is that Wes will get promoted and won't be my delivery / pick up person anymore. I have to say if they don't get promoted it will be FedEx's loss! Keep up the good work, Wes & Carrie! I received a package that was damaged during shipping. The item was packed in a box specifically made for the item. No damage to the outside, but the glass inside was busted, so it must of been dropped. The shipper put $1000.00 insurance on it. I filed a claim. Sent in documents and pictures. Didn't heard anything from FedEx. So I called and they said the shipper has to file the claim. So I sent everything to the shipper. He sent everything to FedEx. I then get a letter from FedEx saying my claim has been denied because the package was not available for inspection. FedEx never contacted me to do a inspection. I then called FedEx again. They said they would re open the case. Didn't hear anything. Called FedEx again. Now they are saying the shipper needs to send an Amended Claim form. The shipper is almost to the point of not wanting to do anymore. I don't blame him. All I get is the runaround.

I contacted FedEx to file a case and the person who received the package contacted FedEx to have to package picked up and delivered to the correct address. I was told by FedEx that someone would call me from the FedEx location to update me on my delivery. I received no call on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday about my package. Each day, I was told the driver admitted to delivering to the wrong address and would pick up and deliver my package. I still haven’t received my package. I was told, "Hopefully you receive it by Friday because we don’t deliver on Saturday." FedEx truly doesn’t care that I don’t have my package or that this issue was caused by their driver. Will never again make or buy my business cards with FedEx. I made them and paid the extra to have them sent quicker so I would be able to have them with me for my business trip to Australia. They never arrived! I saw there was no refund made and presumed they delivered later. When I arrived back home to LA, they still were not there but they more than happily took my money.

I called up and at first I had a man who had no idea and then he had the nerve to say, "Sorry they were never delivered so you will have to follow up yourself with the company delivering them." I asked immediately for management because this is absurd. You go on FedEx website, you pay for cards to be made, it's FedEx who have the responsibility to deliver these safely to your home.

Here I had someone saying, "We are sorry - You deal with it?" Once I got management they apologized for the other staff member and said, "You deserve refund, your cards are still at the shipping warehouse and never left." THEN - He said I had to fill out a claim report. All this work when they clearly messed up and won't even arrange to get the cards sent to me or the refund. I have to go through hoops to get my $55 back and also I asked them to destroy the cards or at least send them to me for free for all the hassle because that is my business information out there. Yes I give my cards out but it is my right to choose where they go not be lost in transit. Still to this day I'm waiting to hear back from FedEx claim and to get my refund and cards. Never again and also I warn you that from this experience I don't trust my personal information with them.

"Business closed" when obviously, you are not, they just don't feel like making it by that day. The main problem is they will get paid the same no matter how many days they decide to hold your package and not deliver it. There is NO incentive to keep the schedule that you paid for. I recently sent a package to NY from AZ. After a few days I received an email from FedEx telling me the package wasn't deliverable and was being returned. I had paid around $70 to have this delivered. When it was returned I was told the address was wrong. Upon checking into it I discovered that although the address was correct on the receipt I had from FedEx, their driver, or someone, had transposed two of the numbers in the zip code. To make this clear; The address was entered correctly when the package was accepted, an employee of FedEx got it wrong during the shipping process.

I went to ship the package again and was told I would have to pay again. Another $70. The package was delivered this time, but I later found out it was delivered to the wrong address. Fortunately, the person at that address went to the trouble to track down the person on the label and deliver the package to them. I've tried several times to get this taken care of through FedEx customer service with no results. I'm handed off from one person to another and none of them will acknowledge the fact that FedEx messed up even though I have receipts to prove otherwise. I guess cheating a few people out of an additional payment on a daily basis could be considered a sound financial venture, but it's not a good way to run a business.

I only found out about the subcontractors when I had an issue with a driver who refuses to deliver according to my FedEx account instructions. When I called FedEx to complain that heavy and expensive packages were left in the elements in a location that I could not retrieve, I was informed that FedEx now subcontracts out all ground packages. FedEx customer support tried on 3 occasions to reach the subcontractor's supervisor on a Saturday to no avail.

When I tried to look up the subcontractor's business information on the web, they were not really listed meaning that there was no solid business address, owner or phone number. It was very vague. UNSAFE! FedEx also could not reach the business! I, the customer was left to deal with a very rude, unprofessional driver of a company that I have never heard of before. FedEx did submit a complaint for me and that is still open. The issue with subcontractors is you really don't know who is showing up on your property, FedEx does not know who is showing up at your property, and because subcontracting goes to usually the lowest bidder, quality is no longer a priority.

The family was on vacation and brought our package to us several days later. We had already contacted the company from which we purchased the items, and they had sent out a replacement. There have been numerous times when FedEx leaves our packages right in front of the garage, rather than at the front door - only a few feet away! By placing boxes in front of the garage, they can be run over. Lazy, lazy, lazy.

Package requiring signature was supposed to be delivered on 1/24. Tracking # confirmed it was out for delivery. But it wasn't delivered due to "local weather delay". There was NO bad weather. It was sunny and roads were clean and dry - lie. So now it was supposed to be delivered 1/25 but wasn't for same reason, weather - another lie. It was again sunny. So who knows when I'll get this. A delivery before this one went through 5 of these cycles before it was delivered. We're close to the end of the route and the driver just knocks off when he/she feels like it. Same, the next day and on and on. The inmates are running the asylum at the local FedEx depot. It's sub-contracted out to low bidder and the results show. Shippers - please use anything other than FedEx.

I placed an order with an online pet store where I was promised 2 day shipping on my order. My order was placed on Friday and was to be delivered on Monday. Monday came and went with no delivery. I used the FedEx tracking online to see that my package was on a delivery vehicle but had been delayed until Tuesday. Tuesday came, still no package. Tracking again had shown it was delayed again. This has happened everyday since. It shows in the morning that delivery is expected that day but upon checking after 12pm it goes to delayed. I live 50 miles from this FedEx location and there has been NO weather related events that would cause them not to be able to move their vehicles. This is ridiculous and I have informed the online pet store that I will not order from them again until they change their delivery service to anything but FedEx. I have also emailed FedEx and have yet to receive a response.

Package delivered to my home about noon, Tuesday, January 22. Wrong address. In fact, no such address on my street. Called FedEx around 12:30 p.m. that day to inform, so they can pick up. Called Wednesday around 3:00 p.m. because package still not picked up. Called Thursday around 3:00 p.m. because package still not picked up. Called Friday around 3:00 p.m. because package still not picked up. It's Saturday morning, the fifth day and package still not picked up --- all 5 feet x 1 1/2 feet of it blocking access to the front door!

Keeps perishable expensive seafood on truck for many hours after a 2 days journey, does not follow instructions for delivery, signature, or otherwise has left perishable food in hot sun in Florida, does not ring doorbell, has delivered to wrong address and will not own up to error, neighbor ends up delivering package weeks later. Packages usually filthy dirty when they arrive.

First the package was lost and finally arrived 3 weeks! Another package was late and although labeled fragile in several places the box was damaged and contents shattered! Additionally the delivery person literally threw the box on our patio.
