I was referred to Cambridge Credit Counseling Corp. by my mother who saw it in a magazine. I had too many credit cards that I had balances with. I got in touch with someone every time I called Cambridge and they always answered my questions or got back to me with answers within at least 24 to 48 hours which was cool. I’m done with their program. They did a good job. I really didn’t think it was possible to pay all that stuff off in three and a half years and it was cool to do so. Back then, I was a lot younger and I was able to get credit from anybody. But working with Cambridge along the line helped me realize that credit is one of those sensitive things to have. I learned to take better credit and to manage money as well. It was a great service.

We're really happy with Cambridge. Back then we had to get on a kind of program and budget to lower our debt and since we got on the plan, we're better at living within our means. Now that it's paid off, we're able to put that money aside which we wanted to before. Cambridge is very reliable and everything they said would happen did. It was excellent service.

I reached out to Cambridge Credit Counseling to find out if there was a best possible way for me to shut off or stop using my credit card so that I could fully combine my debts and get into some kind of counseling for that, for which they were good. They were definitely able to lower my interest rate. I was in contact with my first agent from Cambridge and everything was going so well and smoothly that I didn't have to call and talk to anybody else. It's been over six years and then it finally happened -- I had my last payment done. I said, "Hallelujah! I got more money in my pocket!"

I had several cards and I was only able to do the minimums. It was draining and I was never catching up, so lumping them where they got the lower interest rate and making the one payment was a lot easier to accomplish the goal. The people at Cambridge were very helpful, respectful and didn’t make me feel like a loser for using the service. I know I need to be careful, and I’m still working hard at that, but things are a lot better after working with Cambridge.

Cambridge's staff are fabulous and very understanding. We knew we were in trouble and we reached out for help, and once they got all of the information, they just took right on over and kept me apprised of what was going on and what they're doing, and would send emails periodically. It was wonderful. And if need be, they didn’t hesitate to pick up the phone and call. It has made life a lot easier, and taken a lot of worry and burden off of our shoulders. If I got in trouble again I would not hesitate to call them and if I know anybody that's in trouble, I'll refer them. They deserve 10 attaboys and then some.

Cambridge is amazing. They got 1 card down to zero percent. It's an amazing program and it forced us to do the right things. We had too much debt and we couldn't live anymore, and then I heard about them through my employee assistance program. The contact was great from the initial one, to anytime I needed a call and reassign money as the bills are going down, and towards the end. The website and the e-mails were very informative and helped us get back on track. I would refer anybody who needs them to call them.

I've used Cambridge Credit Counseling for several years to consolidate my debt and my experience with them was fantastic. Whenever I had gotten off track a couple of times, they were very easy to work with and would get me back on track. I went through a rough patch in my life and was able to call them and get back on their program, and I just finished in March. They were always willing to help, very kind, understanding and nonjudgmental. They answered my questions and did anything they could to help me. I'm thankful to them.

My husband had a stroke and I was concerned about our finances, so my daughter looked up Cambridge. I wasn’t really having any debt, but I wanted to get help paying all my bills. My experience with Cambridge Credit Counseling was great. Somebody was talking about them on the 6 o'clock news and I called them and had a gentleman by the name of John, and he was very helpful. I tried Cambridge Credit as I thought they might get me a plan, pay my bills for me, and get me out of debt, and they did. They were also able to lower my interest rates and that’s all been paid off. They were very helpful.

I went with Cambridge because it wouldn’t affect my credit scores in a negative way. A lot of the credit counseling get one's account discounted, but then it reflects badly on one's credit scores. We got it structured and set up, and then I needed to add another account to it. That was very easy to do. I had no problems at all dealing with him. It was a very pleasant experience, overall. It was nice to get that certificate of completion. With Cambridge, I learned about budgeting our money a little better so that we'd be able to meet our monthly bills in a way that I didn’t put the stress on the family.

The problem for us and for a lot of people that I’ve talked to is being able to live within our means and when the economy fluctuates and our income changes, we should prepare for that ahead of time. Staying in sound financial shape is easier than having to catch up and get back in financial shape. The Cambridge Credit website, when we first started out, was very informational. The guy we were working with early on gave us a lot of workbooks, information and pages to fill out to plan for the next couple of years and it really helped out. There was a lot of talk about how to set up our budgets properly and how to manage our budgets and costs. And then we worked out a payment plan and went from there. It’s really convenient. They’re easy to work with and I was very pleased with the outcome. I’d definitely recommend them.

Cambridge was able to lower my interest rates. They made a lot of information available as to how to manage money, and I learned a few things about the dangers of debt. They sent me questionnaires at certain intervals, asking if I had any questions or need any additional help. And they made available a lot of reference material, so it’s not like they just got the process started and forgot about me. They worked with me in all sorts of ways. We paid off things, by the grace of God, because of the agreement that we made with them of not accepting any credit cards over that time. I sought assistance before contacting Cambridge not to borrow money against my credit cards, but trying to reduce my loan percentage and that mortgage on the house. I got nowhere. I was attacking a lot of different areas trying to bring my mortgage percentage down from 7.25, it went down to 3s and 4s. The mortgage company didn’t want to talk about it. That was one of the big things I was trying to get at. As far as the credit cards, they were raising my interest rates. I have had credit cards for long-term 20, 30 years and some of them had started the percentages in the single digits and actually, one of them that I had closed down 10 years ago because they raised the interest rates on me. At one point, I’ve had $25,000 credit line and it was up to around $15,000.

However, they sent me regular monthly reports that were meaningless. I told them all the time that it didn't have my account balance. It only shows what I paid. I kept calling them and saying, "Please, can you show my balance so I can see my progress?" They couldn't get that corrected. Other than that, the experience was good. They do what they say, but nothing more.

I enjoy interacting with the staff of Cambridge Credit Counseling when I started with them. They really assured and explained to me exactly what I needed. They have what I was seeking – to consolidate all my debt into one payment so that it wouldn't be such a burden on me. Lowering the interest rate did happen with them and I’m glad I'm finished. I also like their letters. It helped me on having good information on different things you can do and what you shouldn't do, even the monthly letter that we have to fill out to see where we stand with our credit. A long time ago I went to Cambridge and they were able to lower the interest rate on my bills. Recently I had some more bills come up and went through it again. Cambridge was a big help.

It was very efficient and easy using Cambridge Credit. They knew what they're doing and were very professional. All in all, we had a wonderful experience with them. They were great and we recommend them.

Since working with them, I can better balance my income and budget because I no longer have that debt over my head. Cambridge doesn't look up credit. The other company looks up the account and sees what is owed and they consolidate. On the other hand, Cambridge only does the account and I have to do all the research work myself when dealing with them. I haven't looked at my credit in years and I'm almost sure there's things there that can be taken off because a lot of times, even though some are cleared off, it's not taken off. Other than that, they all did a good job. Cambridge set up everything and my credit score went up a little since working with them. I've used them twice.

Everything was a wonderful experience with Cambridge. Everyone was so helpful, kind, and patient. The representative I got a hold of was extremely courteous and gave me all the answers I wanted. They walked me through everything. There was no interest rate and they consolidated everything into one payment. Since working with them, I've learned to budget. I'm retired and on a very fixed income, so that helps. For the first time in my life, I am out of debt and I feel wonderful.

I've been on Cambridge Credit Counseling for several years. I had too many bills at the time and needed to get them out of the way and Cambridge seemed to be the best way to go. I've gained that you need to get your bills paid off before you get so old. I'm 76 and I started out with a bunch. I then got off of Cambridge for a few years and went back on it. I didn't see any way out until they came along and helped me. Now I have a lot more money to spend. I am more secure and happier. I would recommend them to others. Paying was easier because it came out of my check automatically. I didn't have to think about it or send it in the mail. Their people were very courteous with me and my interactions with them were all positive.

One of the local talk show guys on the radio station in Denver talks about personal finance every week and I heard him talk about Cambridge Credit Counseling about 4 years ago. Somebody called in for help and the talk show guy always recommended Cambridge. We had about $19,000 in credit card debt, and like most people, we were getting nowhere making minimum payments. The way the talk show guy described it was that Cambridge has deals with credit card companies and they can get the interest lowered. So I called Cambridge and talked to a rep. He did all the preliminary stuff. Cambridge contracted our creditors, got the interest lowered, and took care of the payments. They arranged for all the payments and deductions. It was hard giving up $454 a month in payments but it went fine.
