TitleMax’s lending process was great. It was faster which only took 30 minutes for my car title loan to complete and their rep was good. Overall, my experience was great. TitleMax helped out financially and I’d tell a friend to go ahead with them if they need a loan.

I had a very great experience at TitleMax and the people in their office were amazing, courteous and efficient. I got a title loan and the lending process was easy and very fast. All was done face-to-face and I thought I would be there for hours but it took about 35 minutes. The lending processors were nice, very knowledgeable, answered every question I had before I even had to ask anything, and went over everything. One woman was working on me and the another one was working on another person and once the other person finished, the other lending processor came over and introduced herself. That was rare.

However, the interest is expensive. Making the first payment was hard too. It felt like our problem will never get taken care of even paying more on it. It brings the reality to the loan, like it’s easier said than done. Since you have to be in the store to do transactions, I went to their store, for a payday loan and they suggested the line of credit. The process took 20 minutes. I also like that there are more than one TitleMax stores, and you don’t have to go to the assigned one that made your loan in. You can go to another one if it’s closer to you.

He was real friendly and explained to me how everything was and the process. It wasn't like most places. I'm glad I was able to get in touch and TitleMax was able to help me out in my time when I needed the loan.

I called another title company and they said that they could give me a certain amount, and that wasn’t gonna do any good. Then, the co-owner of the vehicle told me to contact TitleMax. So I called and they helped me out. They were awesome and they didn’t look at me like I don’t need to be there and that they're only gonna tell me what they’re gonna do but they wouldn't do it. They’ve been real straight-up and good about everything. I got a title loan from them. I had to fill up an application and then they went out to the truck and did a little overall view. The process took a couple of hours but, for the first time, it wasn’t that bad. Our loan got us out of a really tight spot and made breathing a little bit easier.

Have auto loan. Was told in May I have 2 & 1/2 months payments left. Each payment is $201 Paid May. Paid June. Should have only $100 left to pay July. WRONG. I have $750 left. They charged my bank $501 in March (my fault for not checking my bank statements. Guess I trusted them). When I called to make April payment was Told I didn't owe anything. No explanation why. Don't trust them. Gonna call financial advisor to see what I should do next. Take to other auto loan. Call BBB.

TitleMax is right at the end of the street I live on. Their process was good and it only took me 20 minutes. However, they didn't give me paperwork when I left, so I e-mailed them and they gave me a link where I could log in and I printed the documents at work.

My due date was on a Wednesday and I didn’t get paid until Friday. They still took my payment on Friday, but they made my first payment more than what it was supposed to be. TitleMax told me my loan payments would be $211 per month or I could pay it in full. What they failed to discuss with me is that $211 was not a loan payment, it was an interest payment. So no matter how much I was prepared to pay, $211 was automatically collected for the interest. There is a big difference. They completely misrepresented how the loan process would work. I asked a lot of questions about how much my monthly payments would be and borrowed an amount that I know I would be able to afford. The representative was fully made aware that I was trying to stay in a particular range per month as well.

Comparable to what you have to do in that situation, it’s pretty comfortable.

The only thing they weren’t very clear on was the two-part interest on it. They charge you a fee on top of repaying the loan back, then they charge you another fee for every month to renew the loan. The fee that they charge every month to renew the loan is way more than what the interest for what you borrow is. They try to make you think that it’s like 12% interest, but then you have to pay $500 and something every month to renew the loan, which is kind of crazy.

I was told that it was a 12-month loan, and my interest rate would basically be one extra payment. I also asked more than once if there was any hidden fees. I was led to believe that there was none. I was very grateful for the help because at the time it was an emergency. But when you get home and reread the contract and realize that you're paying $5,000 on top of a $3,000 loan after explaining myself that I was on a fixed income and was led to believe that this loan was only for 12 months and then come to find out it's a two-year loan. Also the day before the payment is due they like to start calling your phone two and three times a day. I pay my bill on the same day every month but if it's one day late your phone rings all day long. I placed them on block three months ago.

I would never borrow money that I didn’t have. I went to TitleMax and I used my son's car for the title loan. It was just an emergency and was just $500. The lady rep was very sweet, efficient, understanding, and she made me feel comfortable. She asked me how many payments I want to make, and told her that I would pay it in one payment. She was about to schedule me on the 5th, but I told her that I will land back on the 6th, and she scheduled it on the said day. If she was not able to work that out, I would have a fee because it is due on the 5th. I appreciated that. I landed Thursday at 11:00 and at I went back to TitleMax. It was 5:00 when I was there and I paid in full.

The majority of these positive reviews are either from employees or their family/friends/people with connections to these abhorrent parasites. It is the worst experience from start to finish to deal with these people. Loans are almost 200% interest. I had no choice, or so I thought, but to agree to this at a time where eviction from my home was imminent. So what do they do to people who are in a bad way? Lend them money and give them near impossible terms to pay it back. It really should be illegal. The process of getting the loan was an hour and a half and it's all done in the most amateurish way you can think of. They brought me a bottle of water with the company name on it and I asked if that meant I owed them 3 bottles next month.

Yes TitleMax is a good company to get a loan from. Even when making your payments they do good customer service. But to get your title back they say they sent it, but they send your title to another town not your address on file. And you have to wait to see what they are going to do about it. Irresponsible for sending it to another address.

TitleMax was the first one that popped up and the name stood out. I got a loan from them but it wasn't exactly what I thought I was going to get so I'm trying to get it refinanced by a third party. It took about an hour to process the loan. The people I dealt with were two guys and it was just a laid back environment, trying to take care of it, explaining to me the whole process and what they couldn't do. It was very straightforward. Monetary-wise they were able to help me in that one situation that I needed it. I went in there thinking that I could get more than what I got. But it doesn't take away the whole experience which was perfect. However, I feel they need to fix their online simulator to look into people a bit more and show how much they're able to get because it can be misleading.

Then she gave us a little card that had our number on it so we can access everything on the computer. I was very impatient so the process didn't take very long. Our experience was great overall.

The bottom line is they charge you 15% per month for the loan. It's a 30-day loan and you could renew it later if you choose but you have to pay the interest. In my case, it was about $500 a month which was a lot of money. My experience overall was as I expected it to be, though. The lending rep was courteous and fine. However, he didn't know a whole lot about the contract or if he did, he wasn't really on to it. He left the contract discussions with customer services, which was a separate 800 number they put me in touch with to finalize the contract. Otherwise, TitleMax did a great job and I recommend them to somebody else who has the same circumstance as me.
