I paid the balance to retrieve my vehicle and to make a long story short many problems were wrong with the vehicle including the vehicle not able to move due to a messed up transmission, 4x4, and transfer case. I tried to hire attorneys because I was redirected to make a claim thru the tow company but they told me to take them to court. I'm stuck because I paid a lot to get the vehicle back and no one wants to help me. Overall Titlemax has not tried to help me with my vehicle since they got paid in a timely manner because since they hired a third party company to tow my vehicle they are not responsible what happens even though they hired that company.

My payment amount is 700 and my loan amount is 4,000. 700 by 5 is 3,500, and 25% is only $1,000, so for me, that’s a lot of interest to pay. The Manager Mark is very professional and flexible in the way he works with me. Mark works with you and your situation. He treats people as individuals with no judgment. His patience and willingness to help people and still do his job is very much appreciative. The staff that works at this location are equally good at what they do and everyone tries to make all interactions fair and painless.

But I would never recommend anybody there because the rates are so ridiculous. The interest is more than half of what I borrowed. I borrowed $1,500 and the interest would end up being $950. But I guess people go to TitleMax because they can't get a loan somewhere else. Still, it seems greedy and unfair to people who are unfortunate and have a lesser credit score because of things that have happened. I think that TitleMax is taking advantage of people. But you choose to go sign the paper so I guess you can't complain too much. In terms of the overall process of getting it done and getting what I needed though, it did good. If you do business with them they will use every predatory lending tactic to get money from you even after they have taken stripped and vandalized your vehicle. I got pictures of how you get it back. I have attempted to work with the district manager and corporate office for restoration and repair but all I get is lies runaround and more tactics to attempt to enforce this predatory contract. Do not do business with them.

Here is the thing - I didn’t owe TitleMax no money. I had never pawn my title to my Dodge. The old owner had and then got it impounded and they never came and paid to get it out. TitleMax knew this and still didn’t come get it so a court order to sell was given by the court. TitleMax failed to do the paperwork and two year after I bought registered and title the car they came stole my car, damaged it, and stole the items out of it and then said, "Too bad." When I demanded they pay for my car and stuff stolen they said it’s not their problem. I’m the victim. I didn’t owe no money on my car. I didn’t do nothing wrong and now I’m the one that has no car. How is that right?

Their interest rates are around 200 percent. I borrow 250.00 and pay on it six months until I pay it off yesterday. How Consumer Affairs could give them a 5 star review is crazy. They need to be shut down stealing from the poor and taken advantage of the seniors. 250 dollar loan would have cost me over 1500.00 dollars if I went the full term then they lie to me and their manager is from the pits of hell.

They're scammers. They charge you a high interest rate so you can’t pay off your bill. I’ve paid 300 off a 500 loan and they say my balance is still 500. Complete scam. Please people don’t go to TitleMax. They will take all your money.

My husband and I had taken out a loan back in February 2018 for $2600.00 and missed a payment back in November 2018. The car was repossessed on 12/21/18 right as my husband had discussed with the Fontana office that he was making a payment that same day. On Monday, Christmas Eve my husband paid the total balance, plus the repossession fees of $360. He was told he needed an appointment to get the car out and he couldn't get the car until Thursday 12/27/18. He went to Paramount Recovery, who repossessed the car and they said that TitleMax never sent them the release and we also need a release from the Police Station, which TitleMax never told us. He got the release from the police, paid them a fee and still couldn't get the car until he made an appointment.

We had a lender who wouldn’t give us an increase and when we went over to TitleMax, we were given the increase. When I first got there, it was late in the evening, and since they had to buy up the other loan, it took a day because the other place was closed. They had to go pay them out before they loaned us the funds. They were very helpful and thorough. They explained what was needed to be done and both representatives were very friendly. We went there to get some help and they had been able to buy out the other loan and lend us a little more. With the car title loan, we were able to pay the rent.

Though the customer service when I went into TitleMax was alright, I didn't like their false advertisement. They gave me a quote online which was supposed to start from $1,000 up to $1,540 for my vehicle once I put everything in on it. However, when I got to their location, they didn't stick to that quote and I could only get $700. Something about the system of TitleMax was not good. It was a new system so the lending process took a little while. But the overall process was convenient and the people at TitleMax were excellent.

TitleMax provides short term lending and they explained to me that it's a higher interest if I don't pay it off quickly. It accrues every day. I took out a loan for $5,000 on my car and if I don't pay it off within a couple of months, my $5,000 loan can turn into a $25,000 loan. But I'm gonna pay it off in three months, so that's the only reason why I did it. The lending officers were really nice and pleasant. The loan guy made me aware of things about the loan before I went into business with them and he answered all my questions. Working with TitleMax helped me out of a jam.

I had a really good experience with TitleMax, but the only thing that was off was how they did the loan by the mileage of my car. When I went to their website, they told me to put in the make and model of my car, and they initially gave a huge estimate of the loan amount. They said I could get between $800 and $1200. But once they told me the actual amount that they would lend, it was really bad. The loan processor told me that she could only do $360. That set me back and I wondered why they didn’t ask about the mileage of my car on the website.

Please be careful with this company. Interest are extremely high. They will double the money you borrow and will repo your car if you don't answer the phone within a week you have last contact them. I borrow $3,200 on 05/10/2018 and will be ending paying $6,091.12 by 10/2018 including Repo Fees.

TitleMax had closer to 10% rates, whereas everybody else was 19-21. I went in there and I asked for a payday loan. They only offered 40 bucks and then, they asked me if I had a copy of my title and if I was interested to get a title loan, which I did. My experience was good and I was pleased.
