This company is responsible for destroying the families' economy, totally with lies and bad practice they steals our money. And I will explain why!!! When you go to the store without knowing the procedures and contracts and the products they sell. I’d recommend TitleMax. The customer service is good and it was a friendly environment. The rep answered the questions that I was concerned with and I liked how they answered my questions. I got the title loan in 20 to 30 minutes. It did not take not long. The requirements for it were a title, a deed and the vehicle the title was gonna be for. I asked the question to Victor, and he was nice enough to answer it. He said $147 was a charge to the interest, and $17 is just for the principal. It's all interest. I was never told that. It was not his fault, but that was too much money. I’m gonna see if I can work a little extra to make up some extra money and pay up as soon as possible.

People are spending money on these cars and when we come to give up our title, we expect to get our money back and not $120. That car cost $8,000 and they were trying to give the lowest payments for the car but have us pay six months back to them. They need to fix the way they do things. When people are coming to get loans to help them out, $120 is not gonna pay half of a person’s bills or rent. That’s not even gonna take care of your kids if your kids are hungry. You gave them your title but they gave you nothing worth your car. I don’t recommend anybody to go to them.

I borrowed the money from my mom, and even when they picked it up, I told them that I had to go to IRS to prove that my identity was leaked and that hopefully, my money would be with me in two more weeks so I could finish the balance.

All three of the reps that I’ve met have been friendly. They were very professional, courteous, and always polite in asking questions. They explained things to me and it was not very hard to understand what they were trying to say. They needed information about myself and took pictures of my car, inside and out. These were just basic things for the company to be aware of. I’ve been dealing with them for years. They already know me and I haven’t moved from the previous address. The total process took less than an hour.

I would just have to pay it off. They have high interest rates. You think that the money that you’re paying is gonna actually go towards the amount that you owe, but it doesn’t. It just goes towards that high percentage rate that you owe. Say for instance, you only initially borrowed $400 but instead you're loaning and re-loaning, that 400 can get up to 900. That’s what I don’t like about it. If you’re not able to pay it all back right then. It just keeps going up, so it’s just like you constantly digging yourself a hole. But it helped in a tight bind that’s for sure.

It’s predatory lending because the principal never goes down unless you pay over the required amount each month. So, it definitely takes a while to be able to pay off the loan. I’ve had this loan for eight months or longer, but even if I pay $100 over, the principal never goes down. I would tell people to stay away from this because it’s like a never-ending cycle. It’s so difficult to get out of this type of loan.

I took out a loan on my truck, I have made payments all The way up until May. I have tried to call and pay on my principal several times now and been told I can't, I have to make a payment even though I am caught up until May on my payments. So I can't pay extra without making a payment?? Even though I am 2 months ahead on them, They do anything to make sure they can squeeze every penny don't they, When I applied for this they made it out like if I am up to date on payments, then I can put that money towards my principal... Yeah right. Now I'm two months ahead and still can't pay on just my principal? As soon as I have this paid off I will never use TitleMax again!

I had to go there because my car was bought in a different state, even though the car was paid for. TitleMax should let the person know what they have to do if the car title was from another state. My understanding was if the car is paid for and you have a title, it shouldn't matter where the car was purchased. I wasn’t happy with the running to Motor Vehicle. Especially because I've used TitleMax before and I had the same problem, having to go to Motor Vehicle, so that should have been on record. Why would I have to do it again? Other than that, my experience was pretty good.
