    I called the location where I obtained a car loan. My question to the store manager was, "Can I make a payment 12 days past the due date without any penalties?" His rude ** stated that this company do not offer any extension of any kind. I have paid these people faithly for 18 mos. I would be paying this loan out soon. This company don't need to be in business. There needs to be better laws in place for companies that has all the intention of ripping off people.

    Titlemax wasn’t clear in regards To their contract. My mother passed. Needed a small loan of 600. Went to Titlemax. They insisted I had to take 2500 minimum. FACTS: Loan Lies Sexual assault, Repo Harassment, Duress, Mental anguish, Mental Physical Crippling, Homeless.

    I will make this short as possible. 3/19/2019 I went to TitleMax to get a loan for $600But was told I could only get a loan for $2500 nothing less because that’s with the state law prohibited. I was grief stricken from my mom just passing away wanting to just pay off a few small bills so I just signed whatever they told me to Not realizing the severity and risk and harm this is all cost me the payments more than I could afford. They had a copy of my income. The payments were more. Long story short that following June I became homeless living in my car. 1/7/2020 car repo/sexually assaulted by tow driver. I paid $1,355.27 to get back. I have and still suffering psychological physical harm.

    My spouse had to self quarantine from work due to potentially being exposed to the covid19 and that was extended after she showed symptoms. I called the Fort Oglethorpe location to check if I could get an extension or assistance since we have no money, and I was given an indifferent, uncaring response of "There's nothing we can do. You basically should just pay it because interest builds up on late fees. If you want, come visit us."

    I CAN'T visit when I'm in quarantine! I ended the call and just had to compose myself from crying. We pay 384 every month in interest alone, which is okay, but it's not like we expected to be out of work due to a pandemic. A little compassion goes a long way. Title Loan has already pocketed a hefty profit from me. I hope that sits well on their conscience.

    Hello Consumer Affairs, I just want to give a detail of Titlemax loan company. They are not who they say they are? I had been talking to a representative all week, she then told me what documents I needed to bring in? I then called her back not knowing she was just tricking me. And fully was NOT going to in any way form or fashion give me and anyone else that day a loan. I did not play with her, I filled the application outright, told the truth of the information she wanted and I also was very nice to her. She never looked at me. She did not smile, and rather she had set me over in a corner for about 25 minutes, knowing full well she was NOT about to give me a loan of no kind. I told her that my credit may have small blemishes and that I am working on it as well.

    She told me over the phone and in person. No credit was allowed or checked in the application process. But when it was denied. She had checked both credit bureaus, and then she also called all of my references while I was sitting there and I told her not to do that? Only if I do not pay. I got an email from her stating I was approved if I could quote the code. She got angry at me, and said, "Since you do not have your phone with you, I am declining your loan." I kindly told her to give me back my voided check, and good bye. She never gave me the check and she locked the door so I could not get out unless I asked her to open it.

    It was not a good experience and wish they would not lie to the customer to get you in the building and find out how much money you got in your bank account as well. Had I knew of this matter, I never would have come to that place in the beginning because neither one of the clerks were nice. All they want is your personal information and do not have any idea of ever giving you a loan. That is not good, and that is why I am writing you all to let you know to stay away from these people. I will also write to the district attorney office and let her know of this bad actions and lies they tell us, to get the people in the building. I asked her to do it over and she said no.

    Well if you knew the credit report was not good, why could you have told us over the phone and not have us drive all the that place and know that you will turn us down. That is bad business all the way? I hope congress shut you all down for good, and you not do this to anyone else. You could have let the loan went on because I only asked for a small amount from the loan. There was no need for a big loan. Checking credit accounts was not the issue. The whole company is. You all are big liars and use people for their information to toot your horn and show you are in business and do not do anything but rob people of the hard earned cash.

    Yes I agree go out of business, and before you do, change the way you serve the customer because you are not helping anyone anyway. My friend only borrowed 1000.00 from you all and he is now paying $3,999.00. Back. Lie on top of lies. You know that is highway robbery. I hope The Commercial Appeal

    see this and put a padlock on your door. For tax evasion and embezzlement charges too. You are not helping no one. Liars.

    7 months ago I borrowed 5k on my truck. My payments are $800/month. To date I've paid back $5600. I've only satisfied $87 of the original $5,000 loan. DON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID. This is the kind of stuff they won't tell you when the contract agreement is being drawn up. This type of business should be illegal. Oh yea, I forgot to mention one important thing. If you are 1 day late on a payment, (I'm not making this up. It happened to me.) your payment doubles.

    I went from a $800 payment that month to a $1570 payment that month. Also I might add, they automatically throw your loan into default. At that moment they can and have all legal right (due to the contract) to come repo your car and sell it. Then you still owe the loan amount. DON'T FALL FOR THIS KIND OF SCAM. I WILL EVENTUALLY END UP PAYING BACK AROUND $38,000 ON A $5,000 LOAN.

    2nd review: Today I called Instaloan to confirm payment for a title loan I took out. When I called I was shocked to find out, important payment information was left out, when applying for a loan. My loan information was explained to me was I would pay in the interest $450 + on my loans first payment & after I pay each month I can start to pay towards my loan of $2,500. Not once did my rep explain to me I had to pay $375 interest each month that does not apply to my loan. So on top of making payments towards 2,500 I'm charge an additional $375. That was never explained to me. I will be on contact with corporate. They have the title to my Mercedes CLA250. I needed extra money so it seemed like the right thing to do. It's unfortunate that people can try and take advantage of other people when they are in need. (PLEASE IF YOU ARE IN NEED OF EXTRA CASH PLEASE MAKE SURE EVERYTHING IS EXPLAINED.)

    They offer a quote online to give the customer a fairly close estimate of their car loan value, but when you go through the whole process you will find out that bottom line, they pull your credit so basically you are borrowing on your credit and throwing a car title in there more as a freebie for them to gain on if you don't make your payments. The actual blue book value of my car is $4,500, so with them only loaning me $700, if I default they get a really sweet car out of it and only losing $700.

    The loan process when I got all the paperwork together took a whooping 4 hours to complete!!!! It's not until you set through all of the processes and finally get to the end of the 4 hours that you hear what they are offering. They said my credit pulled at 200. There is no way this is factual. I checked all three and although because of law school they are lower than they should be, my scores as of an hour after I left there was, 610/602/617. I don't know if this will ask me, but I want them to make right on the loan and give me the almost $2500 the internet brought me to them over. They are not a member of the BBB and the BBB has them mixed up in lawsuits all over the country for stuff just like this. I just want my loan that was offered that brought me in there in the first place.

    My husband and I took a loan from TitleMax. It’s now time to make our final payment and we just found out we owe an additional $400 due to additional interest charges from paying our payment late. We’ve always contacted the office when our payment would be past the due date and we were under the impression that we were paying the late fees, etc each month when we did call in to make our payment. Apparently that was not the case. Each month there were additional late charges that no one bothered to tell us about and those charges continued to accrue interest each month. Now, we owe an additional $400 and every day we don’t pay that extra amount, it continues to accrue interest at a rate of approximately $3 per day!!! How is that even legal to charge interest on the interest? Not to mention we were never told or advised on these additional accruing fees. Very misleading!!!

    Apparently all the employees that had been at this particular TitleMax location are no longer employed there due to misleading customers and not being honest. We are doing our research now to determine possible legal action against this company. We’ve paid more than double the amount that we borrowed due to the extremely high interest rates, and yes, we knew that when we took the loan... but the additional $400 on top of what we’ve already paid and the fact that’s going to continue to go up each day that we don’t... this is a company that certainly preys on people in need! Truly dishonest and misleading in their practices and the way they do business with their customers. Beware and stay far, far away from this company!

    I came into the Center Point, Alabama store on 10-21-2019? Was only given a $100.00 for my title? My first payment was due on 11-20-2019? Well, I was able to pay it off on 11-6-2019? A total of $117.99? I left the store with what I thought was Assurance of receiving my title the following day? Never received a phone call for the rest of the week? Went back a week later, and was told the same thing that I would receive a phone call the following day again? It's been a total of 19 days, and I still haven't received my title? I was supposed to renew my car tag at the end of October? And I haven't been able to drive my car cause I don't have a tag and I'm not trying to get any unnecessary tickets that only I will be stuck paying and jeopardize losing my license? I believe Title Max owes me more than just an apology for not living up to their companies Integrity and policies?

I had an emergency bill that I had to pay and it ended up being like 1,400. So, I had to pawn my title. I told them I didn't wanna pawn the title until I got the car kinda fixed up.     TitleMax is the only one around where I live. It took 30 to 45 minutes for the lending process to be completed when I applied for a truck title loan. Carmen, the manager knew what she was doing. Other than wait, she was helping the other or her employees facing a lot of questions. But I think it took long because some of their computers went down. So, everybody was using the same computer and waiting to do a transaction with another customer. It was like three agents working with one computer. They have their computer each one, but I think the system went down on the other computer. Working with TitleMax helped me a lot. I got the money that I was looking for.

    This company feeds off your struggling. It advertises as a quick hand up when you're in a bind however it's like a wolf in sheep wool. I went into a Memphis, TN location and got a 660.00 loan in July. I have never been late nor have I missed a payment. I have since then paid back 466.95 and I still owe somehow 611.00 still to pay. I'll tell you how; it's because only 3% of each payment goes toward the actually principle of your loan. So although I was a good borrower and trying to do the right thing. I will be in this vicious cycle trapped. DO NOT DO THIS UNLESS YOU REALLY THINK ABOUT IT. The interest rate is between 206.4805% and 151.7305% and the repayment percent is only 3%. I hate I ever did this because a helping hand doesn't always help. I will never use a title loan service again it is just a money pit. I just want to warn against PREDATORY LENDING COMPANIES LIKE THIS.

    Another company I called wanted me to have a cosigner because they weren't trying to accept the pay stubs that I provided them. And then the lady waited two weeks later to contact me, saying that she was supposed to give me a call back that day, and she called me two weeks later. And the money was important.     My cousin used to talk about TitleMax before he passed. He said that they are a good place to deal with because even though you get a title loan from them and you're paying it, you can go back and pay them out early. And once you pay them out early, they will deduct the interest off, while most title loan companies don’t wanna deduct the interest off.

    I filled out the paperwork then they went through the procedure and took a picture of me to let the man also know that it was me inside the office getting a title loan. They also took a picture of the car and let me know the interest rate. They said, "If I keep the loan for the whole three years, that’s the amount you pay, but if you pay it off early, the interest rate will go down and once you pay it off, that’s it.”

    The lending process took about 20 minutes. The manager handled my account, but she had a phone call. After she got through with her phone call, she came back. And after we went through it, she told me how to download the app and said that I could use the app or come to the office to make my payment. She said that a lot of people come in, get money, then come back in 90 days and pay TitleMax out. But if I wanna keep the loan for three years or for six months, it's up to me.

    Everything went great with TitleMax and during my application, it took at least an hour between putting the information in and waiting. Then we had to wait for somebody to come back and approve everything. And they had to take the pictures and upload them. The process could be improved if you'd be able to put your information online, then have the application approved, or at least get a pre-approval. Other than that, the interest sucks and is horrible. I paid $50,000 for the vehicle that I got a loan on just because I had to get a loan for reasons my husband had to go out of town. It's hard for some people to make that kind of payment but I did it, so I could turn around and pay the loan off quickly.

    TitleMax had a big sign so they seemed to me to be a more reliable company. I took out a loan on a vehicle from them and their lending process is what I would expect them to be. Because if someone’s giving you a large amount of money, then you would expect them to answer a few questions. And their rep was kind, nice and very informative.     The people at the store were amazing and the entire process was easy. But there's not enough warning for people that don't know enough about what they're getting themselves involved with. If you don't pay it off in a month, you are screwed. When they tell you what your payment is, it's all interest and there's no principal in that. You still owe the balance. Luckily enough, I've been educated by people that told me that these are the worst things you can do in your life. It's a double-edged sword.

    I saw a TitleMax store while I was driving down the road. I walked in and I would’ve never done a loan had I known that they do weekly interest rate. They lead me to believe that it’s in a monthly. They didn’t tell me it’s a 9.9% interest rate and I’ve never been anywhere that they quoted the interest rate as a weekly. They were talking about a week, and I’m used to that being a month. I didn’t find that out until way into the process. The overall lending process was deceptive and, basically, it’s theft.     The TitleMax lending process took about 45 minutes from beginning to end. I was fine with it and how long it took. They now have the electronic application which made it super easy. That was pretty good. It could’ve been a little bit shorter, but I understand there's a lot of paperwork and different things that had to be done.     It is my personal experience and now verified by The California legislators in Ab-539, that TitleMax of California is a Predatory and Unconscionable auto lender because of exceedingly high interest rates they charge customers. I was charged 131% interest on a title loan of $8k. I was told that could pay my loan off early without incurring a prepayment Penalty. I tried to pay my loan off after 8 months @ $1k a month x 8, but was told I would need to pay an additional $10k in accrued interest. I did not see nor was I told of the about the high rate of 131% interest rate nor the language regarding regarding the accrued interest, which in my opinion, is a prepayment penalty. I am trapped.

    Opened a loan at Title Max Virginia Beach Holland Road location, called to make a payment which was fine the first month but when calling in the second payment I was told that the location closed and files were being sent to another location, and that someone would contact me when they had more info. Well that never happened and my car was repossessed in the night due this past Friday. I contacted Title Max to pay to pick up my car which was such a hassle, you have to pay them and set appointments with reinstatement and auctioneers just to pick up your vehicle which is in a whole other location.

    Once picking up my vehicle I noticed that two pairs of shoes were stolen that belonged to my customers, and a heavy duty utility vest all valuing $975. They left the shoe boxes empty and bag containing the vest empty. The company that supposedly picks up the vehicles is Pathfinder Auto Recovery which is then transported to IAA in Suffolk, Virginia. Between the 3 companies there’s crooks!

    After my vehicle was picked up I immediately read reviews on this and saw tons of reviews on car theft with items being stolen and car vandalism so I contacted Title Max who assured me that “no such thing ever happens.” Well it did. Please do not do business. These people are all crooks! I was told that cameras were on the tow vehicles and also on the sites but once I mentioned the police taking a report suddenly “there was no camera footage.” When speaking to IAA the guy became very defensive. I’m sorry to say that I’m not allowing these crooks to take from me when I've already had to endure suffering by paying them double just to get my car back!

    If you've got a driver's license and the title of your car, and you need some help, go to TitleMax. I was behind on my mortgage so I had to come up with the money somewhere and TitleMax got me out of the hole with that. I didn't even use all of my money. I was approved for more than I needed so I didn't take all of it. I still have $800 that I can borrow from them. The process took about 45 minutes. But all that we were waiting on was for the lender to call back with the approved amount. Other than that, it was simple and really easy. The rep did a brief walk over of the vehicle and I just had to fill out the paperwork. I didn't have to bring my title. The rep was awesome and really nice too.

    I secured a car title loan from TitleMax but then their rep didn't explain things very well to me. He tried not to tell me little things which was kinda frustrating. I would ask him questions and he would just be like" “Oh, it’s just like that, it’s just like that.” I asked for a specific amount and he told me what the APR was. So I asked for a smaller amount at the same APR. The rep said "yes" but then when I looked at the paperwork my loan was at a higher APR. I felt that he was really trying to juke me. I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone just because I don’t like being lied to.

    I live in a college town and there are 10 other title loan places up the street that TitleMax is on. I heard about them through a referral and I got a car title loan. The lending process took 20 minutes and it was awesome. I liked the fact that they don’t run my credit because it’d just be silly for a $2,000 loan. The customer service was super cool too. The main guy at the store was straightforward and he explained to me how much interest I was gonna accumulate over the loan, but I was only paying it off in two weeks, which I just did again the other day and I plan to pay it off when I get my larger paycheck in two weeks.

    I'm a car salesman and we get our big paycheck on the 15th, but rent is due on the 1st. It’s very helpful to only to be able to collect 140 bucks in interest over two weeks and pay it off easy. Overall, TitleMax has have a clean facility and they offer a lower interest rate than the competition. They were 12% and that’s high, but for a title loan, that’s pretty low.

    TitleMax is in the neighborhood. I saw the building and I chose to go with them because of the location. But I went in twice and they were pretty busy. I didn't know if anybody was at the front desk and I waited for about 10 minutes but nobody came to the front. The very first time I went in, they were very accommodating and very helpful, but I decided not to do the loan at that time. Then I went back and that was when it looked like there were four guests but nobody was at the desk. They looked understaffed with three or four in line in front of me. So, I came back and there was another person in front of me there but once I sat down with somebody, the process was super quick.

    I got a title loan and it took 20 minutes to complete the process. I gave them my driver's license, some personal information like my address, my income and expenses as well as the title itself. Then they took pictures of the vehicle but they did not have to drive it. All in all, they were super nice and the rep who assisted me was a super great guy. Also, working with TitleMax was a pressure release valve for me. As a small business owner, it really helps in a quick pinch for that cash, so the loan helped quite a bit.

    I saw TitleMax on the TV, so I went on the computer and their website told me that I'd get 19.75 from them. Then, a rep named Lisa over on Selma called me and we finished up. After that, she sent me to somebody at their location and when I got there, they got nothing written and we had to do it all over again. It was a mess and the process took a long time. I must have eaten up all that candy in that candy bowl as I was hungry. But I’m diabetic and I wasn’t supposed to eat it. I'd also tell them that if you’re working at a job and you are dealing with customer service, please stay off of your cellphone. They had their cellphone right at their desk when I was there. And if you’re giving customer service, please give them the service they deserve.

    I took out a $2,607.90 loan on October 17th, 2018 from TitleMax on Wilson Way in Stockton, CA and "qualified" for the loan using my son's SSI and a screenshot from my phone as proof of side gig pay totalling approximately $900 a month in income. I made my first payment of $380 to them on November 17th via the app. Four days later on the 21st, I paid an additional $36 at the branch in order to qualify for a "refi" of an additional $1,500 which bumped my payments up from about $300 to $453.78, with rates at: Monthly: 10.9900%, Annual: * 131.6600% (dark grey box), Total loan amount: $4,107.90.

    The rest of the loan documentation states a different, slightly higher Annual Rate of 131.8800%. I have submitted the loan agreement with this. There was a $75 admin fee that was emphasized, verbally and specifically that the loan documents won't state the fee, but it MUST be added and paid with each first payment due. ($75 for original loan, $75 for the "refi" totaling $150 in fees.) In regards to the "refi".

    If Titlemax can go back and look at the times from the branch on November 21st, they will see that my account was accessed at two separate times during the day:

    1. Between 12pm and 1:30pm I stopped in to inquire about the possibility of borrowing more, which they said of course I was, but needed to pay $36.00 in interest accrued from my last payment to bring my account current.

    2. At around 5:20pm I came back in to pay the $36 to get the refi, at which time I expressed doubt in even getting it anymore because of the payment increase. They convinced me to get it anyway.

    I never received any paper loan documentation after each signing. I found TitleMax docs via a google search on July 8th and was given login information after calling the branch. The envelope history of docusign.net shows me logging in for the first time that day, which was 3 days after my car was repossessed. I submitted a screenshot of this. There is no documentation of my original loan that I am able to access there nor am I able to access any payment information prior to the refi on November 21st via the app.

    I was constantly harassed with calls at the same time twice per day from the branch phone number but it was a robocall from corporate telling me to contact the office to pay. The staff also made calls from various numbers twice, maybe more times per day on top of that. The anxiety of the constant calling, worrying and going deeper and deeper into debt took its toll and I shut down.

    My issues are:

    1. TitleMax Wilson Way gave me a loan when I showed proof of insufficient income or ability to repay.

    2. There was a credit inquiry or soft check to my credit at the time I took out the original loan, even though they advertise they do not. It states on the website in fine print that they do. I submitted a screenshot of this. I was approved even though LoanMart had reported a loan default from back in 2015 to my report. I just found this out recently.

    3. According to TitleMax's website, they will refinance title loans from other companies, as long as the principal of the loan is paid down by 20%. They authorized a "refi" to me against their own policy by issuing it to me a month after I took out the original loan and nowhere near being paid down that much.

    4. I was given a loan/refi without receiving any paperwork or having login credentials to access my loan documents.

    TitleMax has caused a tremendous amount of serious detrimental harm to me, not only once, but twice and I want them to be held accountable. They should have denied me a loan from the beginning and never, ever should have authorized a refinance on top of that. I believe I have been wronged, taken advantaged of and consider myself a victim to TitleMax's predatory lending tactics. This never should have happened. I am not a dumb person, but I am 100% financially illiterate. In no way was any of the loan terms explained to me in a way that I could understand.

    TitleMax ripped me and my son of our freedom. They "bought" my 2017 TOYOTA COROLLA for $4,100. My dad bought me the car as a gift. The last day to redeem my car was August 4th. It was repossessed with my mama's ashes in the trunk. Not only did the repo agent threaten me by involving the police, I never received a written inventory of my belongings in the car afterwards. I JUST NOW found the GM's TitleMax business card from when I got the loan in my wallet. I sent a photo of the front and back. The back of the card has instructions on how to access loan documents and will show that I wasn't provided anything. It was left blank.

    I’ve been a Titlemax customer for several years. I originally had a very good experience doing business with this company. I’d previously taken out two previous title loans in Blue Island, Illinois and things went well with the first two loans. I paid them off, got my title back. The third loan process has been horrible. New management seems an issue. I doubt I’m valued as a return customer reason being I was diagnosed with Cancer during the 2 years time frame of that contract. Couldn't work. I missed 4 payment out of 24 months however doubled payment on other months.

    At the end of the contract there was still a balance due, rather than notifying me to pay off that balance the location continued to accept monthly payments from Me. One day I’m out at the grocery store my car gets towed. I’m stunned. It was Titlemax I found. They'd sent my contract into collections and not notified Me. Horrible Experience. I doubt Customer Appreciation is valuable to this company.

    My uncle goes through TitleMax all the time. I needed a bit of money one time so I had to give it a shot. I secured a car title loan from them. All I needed was my ID, a clear car title and the vehicle. The rep backed it out and took lots of pictures of the car. But then the process took two hours. The computer of the rep who was working with us kept freezing up on him. The manager took over and things got done pretty quickly after that. Despite the issue, both of them were really nice and they apologized for wasting our time and for their computer. The manager ended up giving us an extra $50 for our convenience.     I failed to pay my fault and I don't blame company for collecting my car. What upsets me is that I begged the day my car was taken to get my personal items out of it. I was not told to several days later where my car was. The company who took the car threw away and took several important things out of the car and I can no longer get these items back. I believe that was breaking the law ‘cause law states I had the right to get my stuff and I was not. So forewarned if you have items in it your car and you have to let it go to them get your stuff. ‘Cause the lady at the store Said, “Oh well you should have already gotten it out.” And the company that had the car said, “Oh we can give you $50 for your troubles.” And since I'm just out of luck I thought I'd rant on here. But I bet it gets deleted.

    I shop in the local area and I've seen the building where TitleMax is located. Anywhere I went to totally refused me and TitleMax was the only one that worked with me. They got the loan processed for me but I wasn’t too happy about the percentage. For a 2,500 loan, if I go the 48th month, I’ll pay $20,000 back. But people have different circumstances that they go through and I needed the loan at the time. The loan process took about two hours and my vehicle needed an insurance, so it took a little longer. But their rep, Martina, was very helpful and and has a really good personality. She did everything that she could for me and I appreciated her help. All in all, I would recommend TitleMax if you’re in need because they’re very professional, they have a clean office, and they take care of you.

    My vehicle was repossessed for a 32 day late on payment, No Notice of Right to Cure. I am retired and ran into a little bind with cash flow which I was correcting. I went out to parking lot and my vehicle was gone. Now I can't get to work. These people will not work with you and are ready to take possession of your vehicle in a moment without advance notice....Do not do business with these people if it can be avoided. Their interest rate are double the amount loaned. I was wary about working with them, and I should have followed my initial instincts.

    When you get in a bind, you need a little help sometimes. I got in between job projects.     Disappointment does little to describe my experience. Staff’s lack of knowledge and being misinformed on numerous occasions left me feeling victimized. General Manager at 1243 S.W. Military location ** is nothing short than deceiving and the decency of calling a customer a liar is clearly an indication of his lack of professionalism. After speaking to staff ** on two separate occasions within the same week and obtaining a TOTAL pay off amount; which I clearly asked that she provide me with the total amount that needed to be paid in order to get my title; ** provided me with the wrong amount.

    To my surprise when I arrived with total money on hand General Manager ** stated it was almost $600 more than what ** had provided. I questioned how it was possible the amount owed could have increased almost $600. Yet according to GM ** it was due to a lack of misunderstanding on MY Part as he pointed out that ** was a tenured worker of 3 years. GM explained ** had provided total principal amount but failed to Add another month of interest.... yet I had paid all interest up to date. GM repeatedly stated he had not been in the conversation that was had with ** therefore nothing could be done or rectified. I requested that we speak to ** but she was conveniently on Vacation.

    While at this business a gentleman at the store shared his experience of having his vehicle repossessed and his dealing with TitleMax for three years now and finding no end to his dilemma which was described as it being worse than making a deal with the devil. I urge all customers with similar experiences to post their reviews to such an injustice. I urge Title Max to clearly explain and outline exactly how the never ending loans operate; these types of businesses should be illegal.

    I had an non-related work injury that left me unable to continue working. I did not have any income at that point. I was approved for a title loan, worst decision I could have ever made. The interest is so high that I can not pay this. I borrowed a very small amount, and instead of this helping me it set me back so far that I will most likely lose my vehicle. 150% interest. Don't do it!!!!

    I was grossly misled by this company's representatives. I was never informed that my loan would be transferred to another loan company. I was never told that I would end up paying interest on the interest after paying off the actual loan amount. I borrowed $4300.00. I repaid $4517 in six payments. I was then told that the interest would be with another company as a second loan and that my balance was $3200.00. I have now paid $1186.41 on the $3299.89 and my balance is $3224.87. The 2nd loan to pay off the interest on the 1st loan began in April 2019 and after three payments totaling $1785.41 my balance due decreased by only $75.00. I was told that I would not be charged interest on the interest.

    I turned to TitleMax out of desperation. OMG. This was the worst mistake EVER. Sure the staff is nice and courteous. Of course I was offered a cup (not bottle) of water. However, I was disappointed that the red carpet was not rolled out for me. With the interest rate over 150% I'm sure us customers deserve royal treatment. However, there's one thing I'd like to know.     I liked that TitleMax was local, so I went with them. The loan cost me about 30 cents but the interest was raised pretty high. Other than that, I was able to pay the loan back right away and I knew I was gonna pay it back before they even had a chance to charge any finance charges because I make a lot of money. It’s just that I had a week where I was out of money. But if it’s someone else that can’t, they're basically getting screwed. The reality is, TitleMax is out to cheat people for loaning them $3,000 and making $30,000 off of what you loan them, and that’s a horrible thing. That’s disrespectful and against human rights. They should be ashamed of themselves for being part of it. I would also tell someone that if they had to use TitleMax and they couldn't pay it back within a couple of days, they're complete morons.     I’ve never really done the type of title loan like TitleMax's and I didn’t like that they expect you to pay it off the next month or they’re gonna keep rolling that money over. I think you have to pay that every time you roll over and you’re pretty much gonna get caught up with the interest more by doing it like that. If you want to take a few months to pay it off then you may have to pay extra. It also doesn’t hit your credit as good if you’re trying to pay it off fast. That’s one thing I was trying to do it for too – for credit purposes – and with trying to hurry up and pay it off quickly, it’s not really gonna help me that much.

    When you do one in Georgia, it's kind of like a loan and they give you so many months to pay it back then they give you the title back. I would’ve rather done it that way. But other than that, the service at TitleMax was good. The dude I talked to had good people skills and I liked him. The process was also easy. It didn’t take too long. That was pretty good.
