    My experience was good. It just took a long time because they said something about the mileage on my car. The motor on car my blew, so I got a new one, but it had less mileage than the odometer was reading. My motor has less miles than my old motor that was in there, and you can't change the odometer in the car. The rep had to take pictures of the car five times, and I ended up waiting there for almost two and a half hours. Other than that, it would have been a perfect experience. The rep was really nice. She gave me some water and some snacks for being there waiting and for waiting long.

    TitleMax told me I could get up to $10,000, so I went with that. The rep from Dover that I dealt with was cool. She was more polite and much nicer. I had gone to the one in Delaware, in Wilmington, and she was really nasty to me. This is my first experience ever. At one point, I was rethinking if I even wanted to do this. I, in a way, kind of regret going because what I ultimately settled for was trash. It was nothing. It was like pennies. I wouldn't recommend TitleMax to anybody else.

    I didn’t have a loan on my car. If I have, I didn't see any past issues going on. So, my credit reflects somebody else but not me. I normally would have qualified for just a signature loan but I'm having to deal with others stealing my identity. We tried just doing a signature loan the first time around and I couldn't get approved. But it didn’t have a problem, so I can’t see why TitleMax had given me a title loan. They should give me a signature loan instead of using my title. My car is worth way more than what they gave me for a title loan and their interest rates are horrible. But the rep was nice and the process did not take long at all, which was 30 minutes. TitleMax was there at a time I needed it, so it was a great help. I'd send friends to them, but with caution.

    They helped me to their best ability. I had a nice experience with TitleMax all the way up until the car that I had stopped on me, and it was stolen off the side of the road. When I called and let them know that the car stopped and there wasn't a parking lot, they told me that they weren't able to go get it. But once I got back up there, I figured that they went and got it. But I haven't heard from TitleMax for years.

    I recently went for a new car and all of a sudden they keep calling me about that old car. I never knew that they did not receive that car. They keep calling me and asking me to pay the balance. At this point, it's three years later and it's no way I can make a police report now that the car was stolen because I thought TitleMax got it. They stopped calling. But then they got my new number from this new title loan and now they are constantly calling. I'm feeling harassed. I told them that if I had the money to pay them, I wouldn't have even brought another car to them.

    Application was a quick process. I spoke with the manager at the beginning of the week. I asked her how long it would be because my lunch is just an hour. She ensured me that everything will be done within an hour, which it was. And I was able to get back to work. It was appreciated. However, the rates are high. The terms at 30 days is a lot. We should have an extended time to be able to pay the money back. I know you pay your minimum, and you'll get an extra 30 days. The minimum is a lot. Because if we need the money, we need the money at the time. But for a certain amount of money, 30 days is quick to pay, or even with a minimum, that we're already in debt. Once I pay TitleMax back, I probably wouldn't do it again because the price is too high.

    When I went to TitleMax, the general manager was the only person there, and she was cool and impressionable. I got a car title loan and the process was very quick.     The reps were pretty kind. TitleMax wrote a check for $22, and all I had to pay was $18. The check place didn't want to take extra money out of the check, have extra $4 out of his check. So they asked me, do I have $18? So I had $18, and so I gave them that. Then I took the check back to TitleMax. So they actually owe me $22. Also, I didn't know that they actually charge the $400 in the first month that I supposed to pay every month. They haven't talked to me about that part.

    My experience with TitleMax was great. It was very helpful. They made sure I understood everything. They made sure I knew that the minimum payment does not go towards my balance. But it's expensive for someone to have to pay it back within 30 days. I didn't know that before. So, I'm glad that they explained everything to me. It will be better if they would give me a minimum of two months to pay it off versus just 30 days. At least 90 will probably be better versus me getting the money, then I turn back around. But they were very helpful, understanding and patient. Customer service is great. They did everything for me. I stayed inside the whole time. They did step by step for me, took all the pictures for me. It just took about 30 minutes. It was a quick and easy process.

During the application process, they took all my information down as well the information for the pickup, took pictures of it, submitted it to their review and it was done. It was about a half hour process. The rate was a bit pricey but nothing that I was surprised by. Personally, I was satisfied with TitleMax. It was exactly what I expected. It was a much quicker process than I expected and I had no problems with it. But I would never recommend it to somebody who's just down on their luck and needing the short-term loaner thing because if they're in that position, they're going to end up losing their vehicle, and then they're going to be in a worse position.

    I was in a pickle when my 18-wheeler went down and I needed some cash. I went to TitleMax and customer service was amazing with the way they treated me, talked to me, and the way they had time for me. They were very friendly people and they made me feel really good. If someone acknowledges me, gives me respect, treats me and makes me feel good, that goes a long way. Even if it's not a good deal, you can cover it up by the way you treat somebody. If you are rude and you’re still bending me over, then that’s a different situation. I needed 6,500 and I didn't get near what I wanted, but it was fine. It helped out. If I pay out the loan completely, it's gonna be almost $7,000 and I only get 2,500. It's a terrible rate so I'm gonna go ahead and get it out of the way within 90 days.     The rep was friendly. Told us everything we needed to know. TitleMax needed my license, pay stubs, and the title to the car. The rep took pictures of the car, and had to go back and take pictures of the car because they said there was a scratch on the car when there wasn't. And that was it. The only thing that I had a complaint about was when he put in my pay stubs, the computer calculated it incorrectly. The calculator computes your pay stubs at four per month, and that is not the actual accounting way to account for your pay stubs. He said that's how the computer system works. It didn’t affect my loan whatsoever, but it lowered my income $300 per month. So if that had been a difference between getting my loan and not getting my loan, it would have been the rep's error and I could have gone somewhere else, and they would have calculated it correctly and I got a loan.

    I’ve been dealing with TitleMax for about six years. The application process was pretty easy and quick every time. Customer service was great. They were all polite and they knew what they were doing. They explained the details to me. I only wish I would have saved a lot more money. I took out a $700 title loan and I ended up paying about 6,000 back. I didn't understand that.

    Say I borrowed 700 on a title loan. Maybe I’ll just get all the 700 back and have it for six months and TitleMax makes an extra 800 to 1,000 on it, instead of everybody having to pay that extra $5,000. They are still gonna get their money back plus an extra 800 to 1,000. Not everybody is gonna be able to pay the loan back all at one time so all they do is keep adding on and adding on until you pay it off. I’ll never go get a title loan again. That aside, everything was good. I just got a loan for $450 and TitleMax only charged me $173 interest. They take that out of my bank so that's fine.

    I went to a title loan place right up the street and their interest rate was very high. I then stopped by TitleMax and their interest rate was lower so I chose them. The interest rate was fine for me, taking into consideration the type of loan it is. I did a car loan. Their rep was excellent and he gave me a lot of information. The process took 30 minutes. And because the systems was down, the rep was explaining other stuff about the loan. He was very talkative and kept me occupied while we did everything. He also gave me information that usually I don't get, like how to pay it down quicker and things of that nature.

    Taking the pictures was the longest process and I understand why. They wanted to make sure everything is correct and they checked on the condition of the vehicle. The loan processing, on the other hand, didn't take as long as him taking pictures. I just had my ID, proof of identification, and title. The only thing is TitleMax should have a few more workers. There were only two workers there and some people were waiting. That aside, the two workers were multitasking and working together so they got everybody out.

    The process went right. I told the reps about the loan application and made arrangements. An hour later, I went down and it was already for me. All I had to do was sign the paperwork. I really liked the rep I worked with. It was easier to go through her than the bank where they give you a big hassle. She explained to me the easiest way to make the payments too where I won't pay as much. I only wanted 500, but with the way she explained it to me, I might as well get 800.     Customer service was very kind and they were all absolute sweethearts. TitleMax loaned me 3,900 bucks and I only had to pay 500 bucks back on top of that. I could have gotten much more for the car. But the money I got totally got me through with everything that I needed and it made it to where I still have a home. It was a wonderful experience and it happened on the spot. But I am still very perturbed by the fact that I have not gotten my title back yet.     My mother-in-law recommended TitleMax to me because she said that it was a fast and easy way to get money. Even though the interest rates are high, it was a good option since I needed it right then and there. I went in and I got the money for my rent. The rep I had was sweet and I liked her. They said that if I told them who referred me, that person would get the $50. I referred my mother-in-law because she's been with TitleMax before too. She went to pick up the $50 at that store that I went and she had a bunch of issues with the card. We were supposed to get a piece of paper that had the PIN in it and that paper wasn't in there. There were a lot of complications with getting the card set up. My mother-in-law lives all the way on the other side of town and she had to drive all the way to my side of town to go do that. There was a lot of hassle for her.

    That aside, the process as well as getting started with the loan wasn't an issue for me. It was very simple. The process took an hour and it was just because there were two other people that walked in after me. The rep was trying to help both of us as fast as she could. The waiting time wasn't that big of a deal as I was there for a reason. In the end, I'm caught up now so that way I could pay my stuff. I recommended Titlemax to two people. One of them already went three days ago and I got a $50 card because I referred her.

We both signed it. Nothing they can do about it. If it's a signed contract, it's a signed contract. But they honored it and they even told me that. By law, it's legal binding. I can't change it.     The other locations in Wisconsin want you to pay bi-weekly and it was a lot of money - $300 every two weeks. When I called TitleMax's location, they said they could do monthly.     Updated on 6/16/2022: I have again asked for answers about my loan from both the office in Lexington area and corporate office. The Lexington office did not pick up. The corporate office now has staff members trying to say I "hung up the line". "Mr. M you hung the phone up while I had you on the phone with the other store" etc. I received those details from a female representative, I believe I wrote down as Natallie, stated I did all these things. I a person who does not hang up on calls unless it's something getting my attention. My attention was diverted to my health. I have just come from having surgery in my pelvic area and I came from the hospital with issues at 2 organs near my liver. when it comes to time. I am calling to get my answers n not wait.

    I am still not able to drive anywhere with or without a vehicle. Any shock pain I have at the abdomen area and right side during a drive on the road would cause me to get into an accident. I am sick and tired of being diverted and told only stuff that I am made to believe. I looked up policies of payments. I have the right to pay my bills using the form of debit card, money order and cash..not limiting a person to only cash. that limit is a racial lie and financial discrimination.

    That's what I believe Title Max is pulling. I did my payments from December thru April using my debit and credit card on file and cash a few times but my cash payments are not on the same records of payments that I can view online. I am still paying on a loan that says due per 30 but instead I am paying on a due date marked the 45th date. Making me pay interest fees for another cycle which go to the principal. But doesn't! Therefore I want corporate office start answering questions. Stop racially denying customers answers. Give me my full way of payment by all three means not denying and limiting to one like this is Jim crow.

    Updated on 6/15/2022: Still the experience to resolving issues with this company is absolutely disgusting and terrible. Contacting corporate office was ludicrous and I only had one person give me some help besides the other times of hateful disrespect, attitude, disgust and more. I have been told two bamboozled stories. I can pay for my balance with them on the on the phone or in the portal. That's the first from June 10. Or I must and can only talk to the office where I got my loan (those words were from over 5 people in two days stating the same thing and denying me resources to resolve my issue).

    I rather paid my due with the first option. Because I have talked to a magistrate court police for the damaging of property that didn't even belong to me when the vehicle was towed. And my closure is that I am not paying more than was was stated, 815 then pay off the remainder of the balance of something thousand n change.

    I did not want anything else. This week it seems that Title Max wants to put any customer in a bottle neck. Squeezing them with little information and fill them only with what they want you to believe. There was a presumed time frame I was told before. That information can not be disclosed at the corporate office where it actually came from at first. And now I can only talk to the place where I got my loan at. Not acceptable. That's denying me access to all points of resolving or getting my resolution done appropriately and at the manner I can. With my physical illness and problems. I have continued to try and do right. But taking this misrepresented company to court is the best. Anyone who has a problem with title max both title or pawn. Take them to court. There is no such thing as arbitration.

    Original review: On June 9th, 2022. I was preparing to go thru my post op office from a surgery. I learned my car was repo. And I had an understanding that my bit by bit payments would be fine. Instead I learned it was not. I learned that they don't care if you have an infected pelvic hernia and if you can not return to work. Like I have not been able to. Have not yet received any income from the job for the injury yet. Like I am waiting still. That money only matters. The vehicle inside of it has my medical paperwork for my paid leave and FMLA, all the hospital visits, my medications, and more. I have asked all the lines of communication from the store, the office of independent auto option who is responsible for receiving the towed cars, and last the corporate office. I have had no answers of where my car, the belongings and contents, and most of all. My medical paperwork and everything I needed for finally being paid on my medical leave.

    But nobody cares. I haven't been paid since April. Any other funds I had went to rent, insurance, doctor visits, examinations, scans and more. Some government assistance programs helped. But not enough. When I was on the phone with the corporate office for TitleMax. I was told..have three options.

    1. The line will be disconnect if I do not stop asking to speak to a manager.
    2. The line will be disconnect if I do not stop asking to speak to someone, you're speaking to someone at the corporate office.

    3. Do not call the corporate office. Call the office where you got your loan and issue.

    All three of those options were told to me on the phone today. Of course I already reached out to the office where I did my loan in December. My payment history is good. The problem there is though. My payments are having me pay on a loan not at per 40 days, but almost 40 days. Title Max says it was an error and tried to remedy it. But it wouldn't affect my payments. I started my medical leave on April. I informed them. I did a payment of what I could. It was said it may be workable. I still was not paid In May from medical leave. I communicate. And when I had my surgery I left it to caregivers to assist.

    Then June. After all that effort and payments done. My vehicle with the property I need to finally receive medical paid leave. Is not on me to finally catch back up on past debt. I was told to get my car and the property I need to pay 890 dollars. The 400 dollar repo towing fee is part of 890.. but I am still not able to get my own possessions, medical paperwork and disability paperwork.

    If I do and when I do pay this amount to get my information and medicines needed to help me bring me back to peace of mind. A peace of mind and lawsuit should be done to title max as well. It's one thing to do something to people on bad debt. But bad debt during a medical condition, low to no income for now starting month 3. Being told that I, the customer with title max cannot talk to a supervisor or manager at the title max corporate office, and telling me 3 options. Basically all three options were for me to Shut up be dogged! I'm not shutting up now! I am speaking out.

    The reps were super nice and friendly, very helpful, and made sure I understood what I was doing and what I was getting into. The only thing was it was a long process. The girl I had to go through got my information and she looked at the truck and took pictures. It took an hour and a half, and the rate was crazy too. 2.62 was the minimum payment, but I knew that if I kept the title in pawn I'd be paying just about as much as I did for the truck. My aunt gave me the money to get it out of pawn. Still, the TitleMax loan was convenient because, at the time, I was in a bind, and I really needed that money. I'm out of work right now. I got struck by an excavator back in October and the bones in my leg broke. I'm good now, getting my normal life back.

    The TitleMax reps were very sweet. But I hate the terms. I hate that it’s a month-to-month thing. All the underlying ** was crap, because that's a really ** thing to pawn your title month-to-month. You're paying $500 a month, and it's not even going towards the actual payment. It's just to renew it for another 30 days. And the rep said, “Oh, even if you pay 50 cents or $5 extra, it’s gonna go towards lowering your payment." So, the $500 is just interest rate every month, until you can actually pay them back $3,000 for a car that is more than $3,000. I did it in a time of need, so I appreciate that. But it’s still crappy. They are taking advantage of vulnerable people. You should never do it.

    I needed emergency money so I did a car title loan with TitleMax. My rep was really good and the process took 45 minutes. I was pretty much prepared because I called in. I took everything with me when I went there just in case such as my Social Security and a copy of my lease. The rep right away did my paperwork. Right when I was about to walk on, she said she got an approval.

    She told me, she was, “This is the day you will have to pay. And if you don't, you can just pay this much. And you can just pay it with your debit card. Instead of coming by the office, you can do it on your app, or call us... If you want to pay everything off, this is the amount. But if you come in the office, we’ll give you your title right there. But if you do it over the phone and pay everything off, you have to wait about three days. And then you can come pick up your title.”

    There was only one thing I was confused about. You tell them this is how much you need then you get approved for a higher amount. For example, they approved me for 1,750 and I only needed 1500. It says that I have 200 cash and I don't know what they do with the other money. I don't know if I was able to use it or not. That aside, I’m gonna refer TitleMax to some people because I have friends that really need money. I had a good experience in getting things done and they didn't charge me much.

    I paid 100 bucks to borrow the money for a week and a half. When they showed me how much they charge people for title loans, I was blown away. If I had taken that money out and wouldn't have been able to pay it back in a week and a half and if I would have made regular payments to them, at the end of the last payment day, I would have paid them $26,000 for a $4,500 loan. I don't think people should have to go through that, in some kind of hardship to get taken advantage of. But the reps were nice. They seemed very eager to help.     I did a title loan and it was a good experience. The people that I dealt with within the company were great and the only problem I have is the rate through the business. The interest rate is on a day-to-day basis. Each day, your interest goes up, and the longer you have the loan, the higher the APR would be. I was caught up in an emergency situation, and that's the only reason why I got the loan. If it wasn't for that, I wouldn't do it because the interest rate is through the roof.

    The TitleMax offices here have to have your proof of income. I lost my job a few months ago and I just started working again. Don't fret. We have another office. It's right outside the city limits. They do not go by proof of income because that's only because we're inside the city limits." The rep sent us out to the other office that's just right outside the city limits, and they helped me a lot.

    Everything with TitleMax was really pleasant and easy. It was the general manager that I did mine with and she was super helpful and very nice. We had to do mine twice because I accidentally checked a wrong box and it messed things up, but the process took about 15 minutes. It was pretty quick.
