When I went to pay the guy in the office, he said it was gonna be a week before I get my title back, which was fine. But when I paid it off, he said it would be six to eight weeks. I told him that he said I would have my title back in about a week and now, he was telling me six to eight weeks. He said it is what it is and turned into a jerk. He was cool the first time. But everything else was smooth and the reps were nice. I was in the TitleMax office for about 30 minutes and getting the funding was instant. I gave the rep my debit card and they uploaded it instantly. It was very convenient.

Their lending process was good. It was easy. I just had to bring the title and that was it. They took pictures and looked at the car. The reps were also really nice. They were quick and attentive. They were answering everything too.

I went in with a 2011 BMW with 117,000 miles on it, and they gave me a loan for 600 bucks. That's ridiculous. I can sell two rims for 650 bucks. I was like, “What? That's all y'all could do? I can go sell this car for 8,000 to 9,000 bucks, $7,000,” but I just wanted to get it going quick. I understand that when someone goes with a title loan, it was, "Deal." That’s life. Other than that, the store managers were very pleasant and personable. They did a good job.

They used deceptive practices in securing auto title loans. They claim to work with you. You call one office they tell you to call another. The other office told you to call that other office. You going to run around. They will take your car and charge you twice the loan amount to get it back and that doesn't pay off the loan. I believe there should have been greater repercussions for predatory loan practices to ensure they don't do again but apparently 2x isn't enough. They are still doing it. Don't get a loan from them unless you want to be paying for the rest of your what seems like your life.

However, she said, "Think about it. If you wanna do it, let's do it. If not, let's keep us on the list." She was certainly helpful, but it turned out I had to do it and I had no other way out. Come to find out I paid off nine bills with this one loan. I have a bigger loan, but I paid off all my credit cards. I was happy.

Customer service was okay but the interest rates are so high it's like highway robbery. We took a $600 loan out on my van ‘cause we were in a jam and I wasn't happy with a 37.8% interest rate. If you like spending triple the money to get the money, go to TitleMax.

I'm paying almost 200% in interest rates. It's the only place that I got any kind of funding from, but at the same time, 200% is a little ridiculous. I would not recommend to a friend due to the interest rates. If I wasn't in the situation that I was in, I wouldn't have used them. They could give better interest rates. There was nothing wrong with the process. There was nothing wrong with the people who do their jobs there. It's more what TitleMax is taking on the back end. They're preying on people who have no other options.

It was a fairly simple application experience with TitleMax. They took my information, verified it, and the process was really seamless and fast. There was just one little hiccup because the person putting my information into the system mistakenly signed into or sent it to the wrong store. They had to have my application retracted and put in under the proper store. And she was taking her time putting in my information and that may have caused our time to be extended a little. Overall, the rep did a good job and she did what she was supposed to do. But my vehicle is worth more than I was offered. They said that it was based on my credit rating and not on the value of the vehicle, which was quite disappointing.
