My experience with IJL did not begin well. The people assigned to me were not addressing my needs or understanding me. I had about given up and then Obed called and he was listening to me, I would not work with anyone else at this point, he is attentive and interested in making successful matches. He gets the 5 star rating.

I really enjoyed my first dating experience with IJL. I was a little nervous upon arriving to meet my date but my matchmaker did such a great job of matching me with someone really nice and the conversation flowed extremely well throughout the evening. We’ve already planned a second date. D, Dallas.

I spoke with my dating specialist, Eva, several times over a month while I was thinking of becoming a member. She was enthusiastic, knowledgeable, patient, and very kind. She’s a big reason I chose It’s Just Lunch over another matchmaking service. Today I spoke with her and became a member!! She remembered most of the details about me without me having to remind her! I could tell she really loves her job and does it to make a difference in people’s lives! I highly recommend that when you call that you ask for her to be your dating specialist!

Erika. Date. I had a wonderful date on 2/3/2020. She was very attractive and the date lasted 2.5 hours. We exchanged numbers and plan to see each other again. She and I had a lot in common due to our similar work. We are both physically active and similar political values. Thanks for the great match.

I was pleasantly surprised to meet my first date who looked just like his picture and aligned closely with his bio. We had lunch at the Bravo restaurant in the Robinson Twp area of Pittsburgh. Staff at the restaurant were very accommodating and made meeting my date easy and seamless. We had a lot of things in common to talk about but I didn’t have an immediate physical attraction to my date. I’m hoping for that to happen on my future dates. I really like this program. They’re true to their word and I believe that I will meet the type of gentleman that I am hoping to meet.

I lucked up. Connected to a new matchmaker, Udonna only after I had not heard from a manager who was to call me 90 days ago. Udonna respected my desire to date someone who looks like me. Udonna’s patience; willingness to find a match in the Baltimore area has given me new hope. I look forward to her future matches.

I just started with the program but I have to say my first impression was very good. Both Mellissa and Obed were very friendly and easy to talk to. Their excitement and optimism at finding a match for me gave me a lot of hope.

I have been working with Vanessa. She is attentive and genuinely interested in helping me find the right match. She seems to have a legitimate process for finding quality dates which is reassuring. Melissa also has a great sense of humor so she is a pleasure to work with!

I was first interviewed on FaceTime with Mel and that went very well and she seemed to understand my specifications. I am now working with Ana who is so enthusiastic and very easy to talk to. I think they are both very well qualified for this position with IJL.

Working with Obed has been awesome. He listens and cater my dates to my busy life. The matches IJL has introduce to me to have shared the same core values I have about life. My time has been very fun and exciting experience. The location for dates has been great also. They are very private and laid back environments.

I’ve really enjoyed my curated dating experience with IJL. It’s great to meet other like minded professionals, plus the IJL experience takes the leg work out of using an app or being picked up at a bar...or goodness forbid your well meaning friend. It’s a great experience for busy professionals. Plus the entire team is very professional and takes great care to ensure that they find a great match for you.

Don't waste your money. They barely have any clients anymore so they are struggling to find matches for people. You will get offered matches who don't have your must-haves. Except IJL won't tell you the truth about your match, and you will only find out that they don't meet your basic requirements when you are on your date! Note that they have a shortage of male matches in NYC which is supposed to be one of their primary markets. Save your money, you are much better off using regular online dating.

I began this process about for five months ago with It’s Just Lunch. I was lucky enough to receive Sheri as my matchmaker. She’s been very patient with me, I have a very hectic job and I’ve had some life situations that I’ve made it pretty impossible to set up dates. But I’m happy to report I’ve been on a date that I really enjoyed. Hopefully it will grow. Thank you Sheri for your mad skills and patience. Catherine **.

Had a Great dinner with Michele. We seem to have a lot in common. Unfortunately she lives in Bullilo NY. Also, she has only been divorced For 6 weeks And it Seems that she wants to date a bit before dating some one on a permanent basis--that is What I'm looking For.

Have enjoyed working with Ana and Mel. Both have been very professional and friendly. They have taken the time to review my interests and feedback. Looking forward to sharing this experience with these fine young ladies. I’m sure they will connect me with the perfect match.

Do not pay for this service. No real database of men. No quality men. Matchmaking means they cruise other sites. They Do not match you based on appearance interests and age. Unprofessional staff. One issue after the next as soon as I signed up - I didn’t like my first match after one day of joining no less lol and they said, "Well it counts as your date." Utterly ridiculous. The guys they have you will do better on Bumble or Match.

Vanessa has been so amazing! I entered this process cautious but optimistic. Vanessa helped remind me that I deserve someone great and assured me that she would find him for me. I have been on one date so far and it was lovely. Vanessa set me up with a man who was so attractive and funny and charming and charismatic. I told Vanessa it was the first time in a great while that I was excited about a date and I couldn't wait for the next one. Vanessa reminded me to keep my head up and there were great things ahead. I am very excited to see what amazing date Vanessa finds for me next.

Vanessa has called and worked hard for me. I found her to be very communicative and nice. She took the extra step that wasn't taken by previous people in her position. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be an inventory of potential matches close to where I live. Vanessa is great but I think most people are using less costly alternatives of online dating.

Lisa is wonderful and nice. I joined and have met some very nice ladies in the past 3 months. Hopefully will meet "The One" soon! The people who use this company have an investment in the group so it's a more goal oriented group of people.

Sheri has been a great matchmaker. She is very understanding and honest. I'm still new to dating, but My fist match with her was very good, I hope it works out. She has stayed on top of me, which is what I need and I'm grateful for all the help.

Hello! My experience would be improved if:

I had a great time on my date. It was fun and exciting thanks again. I am looking forward to my next date and having fun. I just wished that the girl that I went on the date with new I had kids but other than that we hit it off great. But kids were a deal breaker with her. So hopefully the next girl I meet likes kids and wants to maybe have kids of her own. Thanks again.

I had a great time on my first date with Jayme. She’s beautiful, down to earth and we have similar interests. So far, I think my match maker Sheri is on point. Hopefully it gets even better. Will see though what the next one will be like. :)

I am finally interested, willing and able to date and meet quality men. Having spent significant wasted time on regular online dating, I am hopeful to meet my match on IJL. The team is positive, encouraging and have introduced me to quality men. They are efficient, non threatening and non judgmental. Going on my 10th date in 4 months, the men are all fun, interesting and accomplished and wanting to meet someone too. Have been on several dates with some of my matches and can't wait to go on my next date! Enjoy having a dating coach to talk about the men and 'next steps.' Also like the feedback sessions to fine tune future matches which is what makes IJL so special. Obed has been an excellent representative of IJL. He is always upbeat and cordial when calling or sending emails. He calls and informs me of the details about my dates and scheduled dinners. He also calls, in case of changes with my date, in a very timely manner. Obed does a great job of matching me with dates who have similar likes and backgrounds. Obed is an asset to IJL.

I am currently dating my 3rd match with IJL. The first two gentlemen although very nice, were just not what I was looking for in a match. The third match was a charm indeed, and after two months we are still enjoying one another's company. I am grateful to Mel for hanging in there with me and always being positive with her attitude. Ana is working with me as well, and as things are going well with Match 3, I am on hold for now.

While it was not a match, UDONNA was very attentive. She was the first one that has maintained a hands-on relationship with me. She ACTUALLY calls me! Love UDONNA and looking forward to another match by her. My match was a great guy...but no bells rang. Thank you UDONNA for your time and effort!

Amy is working hard to find me the right match. Amy’s personality is fun, compassionate, and caring in nature. A bit of humor is there also. I enjoy our conversations. IJL is a far better service than the dating apps. So far the quality of potential companions has been good. Still looking for the right match and know it will take time. I would recommend Amy to any future IJL clients.

I paid for the service and I had hoped it would be a big help in finding a match. The service is a scam and don’t waste your money. I was given one date and one photo in 6 months. No one has contacted me since. This was such a waste of money and my expectations were very very high after talking to their Vice President, however everything she said didn’t happen. There were no men in my age range at all. 6 months later I’m still waiting. What a joke. Check out the class action suit online... Unfortunately when I found out they were being sued it was too late. They over promise and under deliver. After 3 matchmakers later I have given up. This company is untruthful and puts in a good face and lets you believe they will find you matches. Buyer beware... It’s a scam.

I am in my seventh decade on this earth so I was not confident there would be many potential matches in my age group. However, since becoming an IJL client a few months ago, I have been presented with more than one match, all of whom are intelligent, personable women with a good heart. I have shared my positive IJL experiences with many of my friends.

I cannot say much about my experience with IJL since I haven’t yet gone on many dates. I can say the team/matchmaker has been very helpful & dedicated to finding me the best match. Sheri has worked hard by following up with me & making all go smooth.

Obed, my matchmaker, has done a good job looking for matches for me. He takes my feedback to heart and diligently tries to find men that meet my criteria. Obed is responsive and good with following up as well. Overall, I would I have had a positive experience working with Obed, although I have not met a long term match.

I wanted to take the time to speak about Sheri. She has been my matchmaker and has done a really remarkable job. Sheri is very through and caring. She is always there when I need to speak with and is very patient and persistent since I am not always easy to get in touch with. I would recommend IJL to others and a big part is that I have had the pleasure of working with Sheri!

I recently had an excellent experience where Udonna was able to step in on short notice to backfill another matchmaker. She quickly found a match and promptly set up a date. She was very helpful and did a great job communicating with me. Much appreciated!

I like the screening from IJL. It's awkward to jump back in the game but Debbie has been amazing! Guiding me along this path. She is straightforward and transparent, very refreshing. I have been found the process not as painful because of her experience.

I resisted going to matchmaking service for a long time but then finally signed up to It's Just Lunch and I'm really glad that I did. The dates are much more interested in a serious relationship than someone random that you would meet online. IJL is worth a try if you are looking for a serious relationship.

I have had an overall positive experience with Mel and IJL. Although I have yet to find an ongoing match, it is still early in the process. I am hopeful and confident in Mel and the IJL teams' efforts and trust that success is just around the corner. I would like to see more insight into the matchmaking process to better understand how it works and see where coordination might yield better matches in the future.

Total SCAM. After a tough break up I signed up with It’s Just Lunch thinking it was the Boston firm called Just lunch. When asking if this was the Boston firm Just Lunch...I got, "Oh ya we have offices in Boston." Sales consultant Eva was very good selling company bullets, "We have 30,000 clients, we have 150 marriages a year... We have personal matchmakers that will stay with you, organize dates and meetings along the way, your personal wingman." All B.S. As soon as they withdrew $3000. from my account they take their sweet time to start process.

I was very pleased with my first date. He was attractive, and easy to talk to. We had a few things in common and I discovered that we lived in the same county. I expect to hear from him again. I was pleasantly surprised that my Matchmaker did such a good job the first time out of the gate. Can't wait for my next match,

I just joined IJL a few weeks ago after finally having enough with the dating apps and dating sites. Sherie took the time to get to know me on more than occasion to make sure my first date would be someone I can connect with and ideally go on more than just one date. Well, my first date ever happened the other day and Sherie knocked it out the park. The flow and feel of the entire date was amazing and it shows Sherie really pays attention and is selective about who she pairs people with. Very happy with my experience and looking forward to a second date with the woman Sherie set me up with.

I could not ask anymore from Jake. He's been great. Always gets back to me. I don't think it's possible for a guy to work harder than what he has. I didn't have the best first impression from IJL before I started working with Jake. But since working with Jake I couldn't be happier.

My matchmaker, Sheri, was pleasant and helpful, But, overall I found the experience quite disappointing. The agency doesn't gather interesting information or learn enough about the clients to effectively be able to match us. It doesn't appear they understand the New York market - why somebody from NJ wouldn't want to come into NYC after work for a drink. Or, why a Westchester person going to mid-town on the east side for a lunch date isn't the most convenient. Additionally, it takes weeks to set up a date. The process seems to be quite time consuming for no apparent reason. I'm going back to online dating - I never thought I'd be happy to say that.

I am very happy with the service. Sheri is very nice, professional and “skilled “ in finding matches for me. I think she already knows what I am looking for and she is actively seeking the right partner for me. I highly recommend Sheri as your matchmaker. Thank you.

Sheri really paid attention to what I was looking for in a woman. The first woman was nice but no chemistry. The second woman has been great so far. We definitely have a lot in common and nice chemistry. I would highly recommend Sheri.

So far so good as far as the experience of dating goes. As a busy person, it is very helpful to have help in finding eligible partners. It works well for me to have the dates scheduled. I haven’t found the right person yet but it has been much better than I was doing on my own!

"It's Just Lunch" is a quality dating service who listen and care... They take the time to match you up with the appropriate people, then follow up to see how everything went. I would definitely recommend them to a friend because they take the time to look for love on your behalf...

My experience with It’s Just Lunch is definitely five stars????. This is due to my excellent matchmaker! Obed is a warm and caring person who takes the time to really listen to his clients. His matches are very well thought out. Because of Obed, it was very easy to converse with dates since we had so much in common!! Also, Obed is always available and ready to answer any questions. If he is on the phone, he calls right back :). Again, I am so happy with IJL and the help of my super matchmaker Obed!

Debbie has done a nice job getting to know me and matching me with appropriate people. And interestingly, several of the people I’ve met with have mentioned how great Debbie is. She builds relationships and trust so well, making everyone feel special.

They have skillfully walked me through the process and over-delivered on every promise. I truly believe they will do everything in their power to find me the partner I desire. IJL is the real deal if you are looking for meeting partners who are dating with intent. Tameka and Melissa are the bomb!

I haven't been working with my matchmaker for too long but he is a professional, he is very responsive and listens to what I'm looking for. I've only had 3 dates so far but each date is getting better so it seems like we are on the right track.

On Oct 30 I signed up with IJL, I thought it was a good way to meet good, interesting and serious matches. I had my first interview with Kristina, it seemed they had a bunch of matches for me. I live in Ft Laud, I accepted to date people between Hollywood and Boca initially. I made it very clear that I was interested in guys close to my age, tall and athletic. I'm 58. Already during the interview she suggested a super athletic guy 72 y old. I denied.

I have not had too much experience with IJL yet, since I just began service (only been on 3 dates). My agent, Debbie has been great, has communicated well and promptly. I guess I just don't understand the process very well for matching assessment, and feel there was not enough questions/surveying clients in order to get to know us better to lead to a better match. But I maybe that will come with more time.

I have only been a client for two months And I have not yet discussed this with my matchmaker. I really enjoy working with her. I have only gone on two dates, I thought I have more options. The locations and the assigned times have not been optimal for me. I understand and do appreciate the privacy policy. I would like some feedback on what my dates thought of me or why they did not ever call me, without this I do not know how to go forward with this experience.

I'm based in Memphis but UDonna & her team introduced me to matches both in the city where I primarily live and other places where I do business. They recently introduced me to someone I would not have met without their help. I really appreciate them keeping my interests in mind. Just wanted to share my thoughts about Udonna’s help in finding a date for me in December 2019. 1.) Udonna did an excellent job in asking me any additional details that I would like in my date. 2.) After carefully analyzing my needs, she set-up an excellent date with this lady whom I met in Dec 2019. 3.) This was my best date so far. I am glad that am working with Udonna who truly with genuine interest asks questions and ensures that the person is a good match or not. 4.) She is awesome in Matchmaking. Kudos and thanks to her. I would not recommend this service. You are duped into thinking they have several matches lined up (I was even given a number. 10), however they really do not have anyone lined up. Also, I have had SERIOUS trouble with reliability of getting emailed or called back. My initial profile had to be edited even after a thorough interview because it contained lots of incorrect information.

I would like to say that LaDonna was very professional in her demeanor and yet courteous in particular to her suggestions. To me that's what stood out, along with her insight into dating, especially for the person who had not done so in 50 years! She translated my desires and interpreted my actions and thinking in such a way that you could say that prior to this I Learned that I had a lot to relearn and that the date I had was much better than I realized and that I was starting out on the wrong Foot, when it comes to today's dating! I am very thankful for LaDonna's advice! She is like a very good best friend!

Thank you for the efforts to match me with the right person. The experience is good as I meet nice persons. To this point the matchmakers are very open and honest. For me it didn't help that I went through 3 matchmakers in a short period of time. That said they have been very nice to me and I appreciate it.

Sheri is a wonderful match maker to work with. She is diligent, efficient and wastes no time on beating around the bush. She comes up with the most suitable alternates without excessive discussions. She is very intuitive which is a great strength for her profession.

I want to warn others before spending money on this company to think it over wisely because I debated a long time before I signed up with them after I went through a divorce! The agent I talked to was very outgoing and promised I’d be matched I believe it was 2 times a month and that yes the matches would be in detail as I described in searching for a soulmate! After talking with her (the matchmaker) for a few times her words painted a pretty picture in my mind of how nice it would be to be with a loved one that fit my desired description etc! I finally signed up and paid them 2400.00 and I told them I’m more concerned about having a match as I described rather than a quick fast match and waste the matches' time and mine and theirs!

My first date out of the gate and I'm already putting a hold on my account for him, Doug. This tells me that Liz was a great listener and matched me up with what I requested out of a partner. Doug and I are two peas-in-a-pod and have nearly everything in common. It's pretty amazing!! Thank you, Liz for being the best Wing-Woman, ever!!

I have been pleased with UDonna's matches. She has done a great job identifying common likes, educational backgrounds and interests. Although the service is extremely expensive for 6 dates in 6 months I am satisfied with the experience so far. If the cost were less I would be inclined to continue after this contract has been fulfilled.

The woman I've been working with is Monique. She has been very accommodating, resourceful and helpful. Monique has excellent interpersonal skills, is intuitive and is upfront about dates. She takes phone calls. If you have to leave voicemail, she is prompt in getting back to client. I love working with Monique.

I have had several dates through It's Just Lunch! The team at IJL are very professional and kind to work with. I have able to meet an interesting woman who I would not have had the opportunity to be introduced to in another setting.

Miscommunication on time left me about 1.5 hours trying to find something to do. 1st date was not a match for me but optimistic about the next one. Hoping for better communication on time, was told 4 pm on email and restaurant had us down for 2 pm.

Monique truly listened to me and knows what is important to me and the type of man I hope to find. I feel we are truly working as a team. We have had some great conversations about my values and beliefs and what I want in a life partner. Very glad I joined IJL.

I've heard nothing but great things about IJL before I decided to take that leap of faith. It took some time to find the right match for the very first date, but Monique came through and the date was a positive experience. It's nice to know you have someone in your corner working hard to find that ideal match.

I appreciated that UDonna was persistent in getting Tushar and I on a date! There were some qualities I was hesitant about, but SHE had talked to him personally and felt it was a good match. She was right!! I don't believe I have ever been more interested in a date as I was with Tushar! Thanks to UDonna for trusting her instincts and pressing me to at least meet him. There are reasons why we are not ALL matchmakers.

I am really enjoying working with Mel. She is kind, patient, and quick to help when I have questions or mild panic attacks. My experience with Mel has been wildly positive. My first date was phenomenal. Now, I am looking forward to both my next date and seeing who she matches me with next.

Debbie, my consultant, is very attuned to matching people. Every woman I have met through her introductions is a very nice person of character. She's also very aware of my schedule and is able to set things up based on my hectic work schedule which is very helpful. I would recommend IJL to anyone so that someone else does the screening and verifies who the people are before I meet them. I want a minimal internet presence and IJL allows me to continue that versus dating sites that do not have any prescreening or validation of who is who.

So far, the experience with IJL has been good. I am new to it, but the service has been prompt and most information related to the dating matches has been helpful. Obed is very professional and on-the-ball in keeping in touch with advice and possible matches.

This is my 2nd membership with IJL. I would not have recommended your service to anyone at the culmination of the 1st membership. Obed was my counselor then. Two years later, I was contacted again by IJL executive who accessed my records and knew every detail of my being. IJL "sweetened" the offer and I accepted. My first counselor was Tabia. While she may have had good intentions, she wasn't making the "cut". Then IJL counselor JAKE steps into the picture. From the onset, it has been obvious that he is the consummate professional! He takes leaves no stone unturned and takes no prisoners! Anyone who has Jake on his/her side will be very happy with his endeavors. I'm sure there are others like Jake at IJL. To your clients who have Jake working for them on their behalf, Kudos to them! To Jake and only Jake will I remain loyal to IJL!!

Been with IJL for just about a month and have had 2 dates already with a third on the horizon. Udonna has been very attentive to my needs/wants and has provided some very good suggestions and advice as I get started with this "chapter". I will likely have second dates with one or both of the ladies I have met so far. I have also very much enjoyed the restaurant choices for food, environment and class. Thanks Udonna!

My matchmaker has been a joy to work with. I am new to services of this nature, but Obeid takes the uneasiness out of the equation. This agency makes me feel like connecting with a potential forever person is a real possibility.

I joined IJL in late September 2019 and I have only been on one date so far. The Matchmakers whom I have been working with (Tameka and Melissa) have been very responsive and are easily accessible. They set up my date for me and I just had to show up on time! It was fun experience, but although I did not connect with my date I look forward to meeting new matches.

Udonna set me up with my first date shortly after I joined It’s Just Lunch. I had reservations about the quality of the date due to other sites I have used. It turned out to be a great match. We spent over one hour getting to know each other and plan to get together again for our second date soon!

While I haven’t met my match yet I have been working with Sheri for just about two months and I have to say she has been very warm, attentive, friendly, responsive and understanding through my journey. This is a rating for Sheri as a match maker not my experience per say since I had 3 match makers before Sheri and she is by far the best thus far. Thank you again!

Poor matches. Not worth the money. So ridiculous! I could find similar or better on any dating website. They conduct a survey and ask all types of questions about what you're looking for, like they will be taking your specifications into account. Apparently that doesn't matter AT ALL. I'm infuriated at this point! Don't sign up.

Obed and IJL have been a great partner in recommending matches for me. Obed is proactive and always has me top of mind for different matches based on my feedback and his evolving understanding of what I am looking for. I was a bit skeptical entering into this kind of matchmaking relationship but have found the process to be the best fit for what I am looking for and where I am in my journey. Definitely an experience to consider.

This company is a scam!!!! Do not use them AT ALL! Waste of money, you don’t get dates and can’t reach anyone. Spread the word that they should be shut down ASAP. Warn your friends and anyone who might be interested. Do not pay!

I signed the IJL contract on 11/7/19 after Faith had been very patient with my long list of questions over several phone calls. On 11/12/19, I was contacted by Udonna, who is supervised by Melissa, who was my assigned matchmaker. I was looking for a match in the East Tennessee area, mainly in the Knoxville area. After Udonna asked several pertinent questions, she explained the IJL program in more detail. Udonna asked specific questions about my preferences and fully explained the dating protocol. On 11/13/19, Udonna called and had a match. Due to our schedules, we were not able to coordinate a date until 11/20/19.

This was my first date with It’s Just Lunch. I had a great time with the guy I was matched with. My matchmaker made it very simple and easy to. I didn’t have to worry about any of the details. All I had to do was show up and have a good time. I would definitely recommend It’s Just Lunch to friends who are tired of the same out dating scene.

She has replied to all my emails and has followed up with me as much as possible so far. I just started membership with IJL this fall. I have had meetings with a couple of nice people, good possibilities for further meetings. So far things have been fairly well organized with timely reminders. Looking forward to future dates based on feedback I have given. Initially all the people I was set up with were not what I had described to the matchmaker as good fits. But the more people I’ve gone out with, the closer the match. Debbie is very pleasant and I feel she looks after my interests by not introducing me to random people and continuously refining my matches.

IJL is a complete scam and waste of money. Background: I haven't had much luck on the dating apps, and I've heard the radio commercials for IJL, so I figure, why not give it a try? I spoke with Heather a few times, and she assured me that within my criteria there were HUNDREDS of men in Chicago that fit within that. Wildly untrue. The many issues:

Obed has always been kind helpful and caring always thinking of creating happiness. He goes out of his way to make sure the best possible situation is accomplished. He has contacted me quickly and help me out every time I have needed something.

Awesome experience with Sheri & my first date. Overall great experience & no complaints. Team is very responsive and open to listen to my concerns and desires. This has truly changed my perspective on dating as a whole after multiple horror stories.

I enjoyed myself very much. I felt relax and had a great time. I did give him my phone number. Not sure if he will call but it was a very positive experience. If this isn't the one I will feel much more conformable with the next one.

The matchmaking process with IJL at first glance was a Godsend. My first call with the sales rep left me with great expectations. I was led to believe that I would be setup with many dating prospects, so I was very optimistic. After months and months of receiving date requests with candidates that didn't match my criteria I was left hopeless. Then I was matched with Udonna. From our initial call, I knew that her and I spoke "the same language". In our first conversation, I felt that she had a great grasp of who I am and what I was looking for. She finished my sentences. Since then, she was able to setup a date with a fine gentleman that fit my expectations almost to a "T". She has restored my hope in the service. Thank you Udonna!

Worked with Mel and IJL for over a year until the connection was made. I had to wade through some not so pleasant experiences until it happened. Happy that I stuck with it at Mel's persistance. I believe Mel truly wants to help her clients but it requires commitment and patience.

Matches always cancelled last minute due to "conflict in schedule" even when dates were re-scheduled. Dates were assigned to locations up to 43 miles away and not within acceptable hours. When complained the only thing I was told was "something came up last minute, out of town, last minute business engagements, etc." I signed up for this service because I am a business owner and did not have the energy or time to deal with the traditional online dating. The company advertised as if there were many prospects and higher class working professionals. I don't know how their clientele work but once I have someone in my schedule, they are in my schedule. The chances of "last minute" interruptions to happen every single time is highly improbable for a true business person. I let them take my money for 5 months before I finally realized they were a scam. Save your money and let fate take its course. This company is a joke!

Vanessa has been pleasant to deal with, and is always very professional. The first and only match so far she set me up with was a very good match. However, she tends to be a little too business-like at times and does not come across as personable. It feels sometimes like she is just trying to do her job by trying to find matches instead of getting to know her clients personally. She also can take a little too long between finding matches. Since I have been on in the last couple of months, I averaged not hearing from her for a good two weeks in between matches. However, she has gotten better about following up lately. Overall, I am satisfied with my experience but it could be better if Vanessa would be more personable and not take so long between finding matches. Be a little more proactive.

Udonna did a great job getting me set up with a very nice gentleman this last weekend! She has really gotten to know me and I think she is doing a great job getting me out and about. She was also considerate when I had to put everything on hold mainly I was not quite ready at the time and now I am back on track!

DO NOT sign up for this service!!! I cannot say one good word about my experience, quite frankly I think the whole thing is a scam. I was assigned to Kelly ** who I was told was one of their senior match makers, she interviewed me to find out the criteria of dates I was looking for and I also provided pictures of myself and my most recent ex-boyfriend. After the initial call I never heard from her again, only her assistants, who were of little help after I provided negative feedback after every date. I went on 5 HORRIBLE dates, each one worse than the last. None ever fit the criteria I was looking for, they basically only tried to fit my height requirement and didn't care about anything else I was looking for.

Sheri is very energetic and optimistic. She is realistic and is patient with me as well. I always feel like she has my best interests in mind. So far, things are working well. I gave 4/5 stars because I have only went on one date so far and I need more experience to give a more detailed review.

I’m a 67 yr old active female from Birmingham Al. I asked the interviewer if they took people my age and if they had many men my age. They said yes. I asked about success rates but was told they didn’t give out that information. I paid my $** for 6 months and was told they guaranteed 4 dates but that there would probably be more than that. I immediately had the first date. It went well but just not enough in common to continue. So I waited and waited for the next date. Didn’t hear from anyone until I emailed 4 weeks later. I then quickly had another candidate to approve which I did but the candidate never responded after a week and again I had to touch base with them to find that out.

I have re-signed with IJL after a year and a half break. I am very pleased with the service I get from Debbie, she is the best. No matter the outcome of the date she always makes me laugh. I am very happy with the quality and care I am receiving.

Have given a “one star” only because there’s no “ZERO star” option. Company is unable & unwilling to provide what their corporate representative (who is your first contact with this outfit) gushes that they can and/or will do. Corporate will agree with you on almost anything, as well as agree to your specifications/goals, and to the type of person whom you desire to meet. Corporate will say just about anything to get you to sign and then put thru an outlandish charge on your credit card (when compared, in the end, to their real service/satisfaction/results provided). The membership fee is based upon where you live and how much they think they can get out of you.

It’s Just Lunch is a great service for those who desire a personalized approach to dating. I appreciate the time they put into the process of getting to know me. Their processes provide a wonderful safety net of guidelines that result in a successful experience.

The experience was great. Although it didn't go past the first date, I had a lovely date with a professional and interesting gentleman. Melissa did a great job of coordinating things. Udonna did a wonderful job of coaching me afterwards to set me up for an even better experience the next time.

I just went on my first IJL date and I found the experience to be first rate and professional. Contrary to applications like Match, Tinder, Bumble, POF....you are matched up with REAL people with similar make up. The process is very well organized, my IJL representative Mel is very courteous, friendly, and diligent with meet up details and follow up. The objective works...to match you up with like minded people looking for the same thing you are...to meet a potential companion. IJL coordinates the introduction. From there it's up to you. I highly recommend IJL service.

I have been a member of IJL for many years (Off and On). I have had mostly positive experiences with them. I have met many interesting people as part of the service and continue to enjoy the service. The system seems to work for me.

Monique has always been a pleasure to work with. She is very personable, promptly returns my phone calls, asks good questions and listens to the feedback I provide. I believe she is working hard to find good matches for me.

I paid $** for service. IJL provided 2 dates over an approximate 2 year period. Each time I called or sent an email I had to wait weeks for a response. When I finally got a response email, it sounded as though it had been computer generated. I asked for at least half my money back since I was only sent on 2 dates and they promised 4. I was given the run around for several months.

Obed is my advisor in IJL and I have had an amazing experience using this site. He has matched me up with some nice prospects which I have made friends with. I have yet to find the one but remain hopeful for it is a journey that may take a bit of a journey. I would recommend IJL to friends and relatives.

This is my second go around with IJL and am very pleased with the reorganization of the company. Udonna and Tameka are wonderful. Udonna listed and took to heart what I am looking for. Great Job ladies. It shows you both really care about helping me find a good match. My first date went very well.

What started off as a good experience quickly went downhill. They say yes, we will give you a refund if we don't match you with anyone. Be very specific and know that if they just send you one person to look at for a possible date that is what they consider a "match". Doesn't matter if it's outside of what you are looking for, they consider it a "match". Then the matching expert, HA, kept sending me "matches" that didn't even come close to what I was looking. Communication was horrible with this person. When I did talk to her I never felt like she was listening because I had to repeat myself several times and she continued with her agenda not what I was asking for.

Overall I've had a good experience. I wish I could get more information prior to meeting for a date. Particularly about where the women live, how close in proximity. Having said that, my dates have been enjoyable. My matchmaker Obed does a good job selecting dates for me. Hopefully soon I will meet someone for a long term relationship.

I believe that IJL is doing a great job however the candidates that I have met thus so far has been not so open minded to other race or culture which is the reason I provided a low rating. My recent 2 experiences have been somewhat positive but gained no traction due to their personal life's such as Children at Home, and having career in mind as the only focus. Hard to connect with someone who sits and has lunch or dinner and their mind is not focussed in the present to see the future.

Debbie, matchmaker listens to my feedback as to what traits and qualities I am looking for in my dates. In only 4 dates. I have a second date and a potential relationship developing. The other staff members are also courteous and genuinely want to know what went well and not so well on the dates to improve the next date. I am in the Austin area with IJL.

They told me they had a perfect match waiting to meet me immediately. That was several months ago. I haven't met anyone, nor have they contacted me! Stay away from... IT'S JUST LUNCH. IT'S JUST A SCAM!!

So far, one date into IJL, I am very pleased with the help given from Anthony, Udonna and Tameka. They have been very professional, personable and good to work with. The first date was very interesting even though there was little connection with the gentleman. He was very interesting, accomplished and active. So the lunch was very enjoyable and overall a nice experience.

I am very disappointed by their service. I feel I fell in a trap. They set up my first appointment after a call without sending any additional information about the person. I asked them for the profile and picture. It took them 2 weeks before providing a document. My date lasted less than 10 minutes. They didn’t share my profile with the other person. And I was not at all was he was expecting. He was misled. I was misled because I didn’t know I was going to a blind date. So humiliating!

After a few years of trudging through the murky waters of online dating, I tried It’s Just Lunch. I weighed the decision heavily for quite some time, prayed about it, did some research, and decided to try a new journey with a matchmaking company. I now know that it’s a total scam designed to steal money from lonely singles looking for help. In my initial interview I was VERY specific about the qualities I was looking for. I gave them my height, age, education, and appearance requirements and was assured they had several matches for me. I viewed the $** as an investment into a pool of potential dating partners who, like me, were tired of online dating and hoped to me quality individuals looking to build a real relationship.

Information about the service is overstated before the credit card is charged and very under delivered afterwards. No consideration of physical traits considered nor lifestyle traits. Only a certain number of dates can be rejected. So they present whatever they have. No research or special searches are done as they say there is. Promises made are not kept. Very hard to have phone calls with dating coach. Very mechanical. Essentially blind dates and no real way to feel safe as a woman.

Do not join It's Just Lunch! It is a complete waste of time and money! They promise you the world and do not do single thing they promise you when you sign up. I have been a member for two months and have not been on a single date. I only received 1 match in that two months and it wasnt even close to what I was looking for. They promise 2 dates a month and say they will work hard to find you perfect match. It's a complete joke! I have gone through 3 match makers 1 of which just disappeared without notice. They do not communicate with you at all! Needless to say I am trying to get a refund since they have not come even close to holding up their end of the contract. It has been a complete nightmare! I keep getting the run around, apparently no one has an idea on who to talk to for a refund. Do yourself a favor and do not sign up with them! It is a complete nightmare! Worst company I have EVER dealt with!

The matchmakers are great, Heidi was exceptional. Though for the most part I don't quite understand why the matches are so far away. In this one case I had a great time. The others have been quick and not so productive.

Total waste of time and money. Do Not Do It! You have a better chance of meeting someone at your local grocery store, bookstore or corner pub. I was promised lunch dates by a girl named Misty in my age range, around where I live in the suburbs of Philadelphia. However, after I signed up and gave my money my match maker (if you could even call her that) Debbie, told me to increase my dating age by 12 years, dates do not meet for lunch. It's drinks after work and I would need to travel into Philadelphia or Cherry Hill. Total fraud and complete sham. Shame on them.

Please note that is IJl corporate. I am in Columbus now which is separate than Cleveland and many other cities where a franchise operates and they are fantastic. My matchmaker suddenly went out of touch. Every time I think it gets better, they force you to accept matches and do not listen to the clients. It is the opposite of my experience when I lived in Cleveland and was with a franchise. If I could give them 6 stars I would. Also corporate does have local offices so they cannot meet its clients in person which affects the quality of matches. Don’t waste your money here because I feel like I set fire to hard earned money.

I was very excited about the prospect of dating thru IJL. In 60 days I was set up for 1 date. Although the gentleman was polite and a professional, he was spending 5 days a week with his ex and daughter with all Saturdays reserved for only his daughter. When I asked my matchmaker how this would be an appropriate choice she never set me up again. They owe me 5 dates. Very disappointed. Teri

I had a super bad experience with It’s Just Lunch. I join It’s Just Lunch back in September 2018. I been on one date so far. The contract promised me 4 dates but only went on one date. After the first date I went on my profile was transferred to a different matchmaker. From Debbie to Monique on March 29, 2019. Then problems starting to occur. The match master provided me with my first match on April 4, 2019. I accepted the date and it was scheduled on April 18, 2019. I went to the restaurant and they said there is no reservation for me and my match. My match didn't show up. I called up my matchmaker to find out what was going on. It took her four days to get me answer saying the match we were working on is unavailable. She told me that she will be working on my next match for me.

I had a horrible experience with IJL. I worked with a variety of "matchmakers" who were "certified life coaches." All engaged in argumentative and rude behavior. They made it very clear that my opinions and expectations were meaningless. I am a professional woman in my mid 50s, very athletic and trim, youthful appearance, and an extrovert. I chose to go this route because I have a demanding but wonderful career and thought that IJL would provide access to high-quality, interesting people. When I first spoke with the assigned matchmaker, I admit that my BS detector started to ring. Her responses were very scripted and felt false.

Mel is a very sweet & helpful matchmaker. I believe the IJL process is very efficient as far as having your clients & restaurants reviewed prior to our meetings! I am enrolled for both the Pittsburgh and Charlotte locations, as I spend much time in both locales.

I wanted to believe that the negative reviews of this "service" were just one-offs. Now having been a victim of the scam, I wish I had heeded their pleas to save others A LOT of money. And I do mean A LOT of money. I was sold by the smooth talking salesperson (who, funny enough I never heard from after I gave my credit card number). She listened to my story, my sad story and assured me that there were "thousands of quality members right in [my] area". My matchmaker was very nice but did a terrible job finding matches. I told her what I was looking for, what I was attracted to, and she went and found the opposite. Which leads me to think there were not, in fact, "thousands" of members right in my area.

I didn't know what to expect but I was hopeful that I would have a good match. I didn't expect things to work out so well. We had been speaking on the phone everyday and we are getting to know each other really well, and I am really looking forward to our next date! Thank you Debbie for matching us well!

If you're thinking of joining It's Just Lunch, please read. Before I signed up for It's Just Lunch, I read reviews, some of which were really terrible. But, I thought, "Hey, I'm successful and relatively good looking, so will likely have a much better experience than that." I was very mistaken. This has been the most humiliating dating experience I've ever had.

I'm not sure how to start but I will do my best. First off I was never a member of the DC office but kudos to their support in dealing with the Baltimore office. Looking back at it now I wish I could have been a member of the DC location however it didn't work out that way. They seem to be very professional and have an outstanding staff. When you make a phone call someone usually answers the phone right away and you get to meet your personal matchmaker. Now to the bad part. Unfortunately I became a member of the Baltimore location. I don't want to discourage anyone wanting to try the service who is marriage minded and wants to have children. Unfortunately I was the exception in that. I did not want small children and marriage I just wasn't sure about even though I stated I wanted a long term relationship.

Amy set me up with a match with a wonderful lady. Not only was she gorgeous, she was smart, funny, and fun to be around. Most importantly, and after much effort, she found someone who has the values I want in a partner. Finding that in Seattle is a challenge to put it mildly, thank you!

Just joined It’s Just lunch after trying another matchmaking company. I wish I had tried these guys first! Would have saved a lot of money and time! Their system is set up for success. This is the second time I have been using It’s Just Lunch. I met my ex husband through IJL, so now 17 years later and newly divorced, I wanted to give it a go to jump start my dating life and find love again. As a single mother and a hard working professional, online dating seemed like a lot of work and very frustrating. My experience with IJL has been absolutely horrible.

I joined It's Just Lunch after much research and many conversations with the sales contact. The sales contact told me there were many attractive, successful, age appropriate single men with full heads of hair in my area she couldn't wait to fix me up with. It was definitely the Hard sell tactic, and trust me, don't believe a WORD they say. It has now been 5 months. I have gone on 2 dates, one of whom was way older than my preference, and the other that was recruited. I complained to my contact many times, asked for my money back. I have been extremely vocal about not receiving the services I was promised. I did decline about 5 dates because they were nowhere close to my preference and not attractive in the least.

This was my first experience with IJL. Roy was pleasant, easy to talk to and interesting. I will probably see Roy again. We exchanged numbers. I also think look forward to my next date. I like knowing that there are mutual interests already identified.

I knew from my first phone call that IJL was going to be a good experience. I just recently had my first date! It went very well. It proved that my matchmaker Lisa really listened to me. I highly recommend IJL. I’m really looking forward to my second date with my first match!

I want to say right off the bat that Amy is phenomenal. From the get go, she was personable, compassionate, listened & heard what I was looking for and took everything and found the "perfect" date. I have to say that it did take some time, but Amy was absolutely right on. She answered all my questions, gave me great feedback and assured me that he was all these things and sure enough, he was. If you could pick any of those ladies, hands down - Amy is it!!! Great date. Looking forward to the next. :)

The date lasted about 2 hours. Bruce was a gentleman and a great guy to be with but I was surprised when I saw him. He looked much different from his profile photos. He has aged since they were taken and lost a fair amount of weight. He told me that those photos were over 4 years old. Needless to say the physical attraction wasn’t there for me. But we did have a great conversation and dinner. He was easy to talk to and I could tell he had done this before. Obed keeps trying to find me someone to go out with. I guess Bruce was in my age group but I’m used to dating younger men. I will not go out this close to where I live again. That’s an uncomfortable feeling. I don’t mind driving 30-60 minutes for a date. I’m fortunate to have such an understanding Matchmaker Obed. He listens to all my issues. Hopefully he will find me my Mr Right.

I've been with IJL for about five months now. Even though I have not been on a lot of dates (I'm not sure if the available pool of men in the Seattle is that great, but you never know), I have had a good working relationship with my IJL coordinator, Amy. She has been very helpful in setting me up with matches, organizing dates, and getting my feedback afterward. Even though the number of dates hasn't been great (again, that could just be a limited pool), I do feel that Amy has taken my selection criteria into consideration when setting me up with matches, and I have enjoyed the dates I have been on.

So far my experience has been great! The contact and communication has been clear and timely. Lisa has been wonderful with working with my busy schedule as well as addressing any concerns I might have! She has so far picked good matches for me and I am excited to see how this adventure turns out!

Before subscribing to IJL. I asked about the subscription time and the offers that they have for me. It was 6 months and at least 4 dates (during this period of time and/or after). My subscription ended up, and (so far). The matchmaker Érica, has been honoring the agreement of (at least) 4 dates. What I like from Érica is her effort on addressing my possible dates (according to my expectations). Now I feel her support on my “for a serious relationship process”. I really like that he calls back to follow up after (the so far) 2 dates that I have had. What I did not like was that (for the first 3 months of my subscription) it was very confusing for me to receive possible matches that were very different from what I was expected... I wrote emails to kindly request for what I was looking for...until all the matchmakers have a clear idea. Thank you.

This is my first time getting back out there and dating in a long time and they have helped me smoothly transition into the dating world and I appreciate that. I've been on one date with a very kind gentleman. My matcher called for feedback after the one date. But I have not heard back from my matchmaker either by phone or email after making several attempts. I've wanted to expand my City Base as well as, age range and I'm not sure that that has been communicated. The Matchmaker was very pleasant on the phone, and I enjoyed visiting with her at the beginning. I would like this relationship to continue to manifest and efforts made to help me find a match. Met for my first It’s Just Lunch date last night and we had a good date. The restaurant was good and in a good location. Our date was a little late so I was sad to discover my date had already eaten dinner before our date, so I didn’t eat a meal but that’s on me. In hindsight, I would order dinner anyway... I’d been saving up all day.

I had a nice time with my IJL date. I was also impressed with the owner of the Restaurant Bistro 27, who made me a champagne drink when I arrived. I had to call the Restaurant for walking directions and the waiter, John, was so nice. And the food was outstanding! The dating world is very different these days. I’ve tried other dating sites without success. I was hesitant to try yet another. My first contact with IJL was with Eva. She is AMAZING. Patient, kind and extremely knowledgeable about the company. She spent a lot of time answering my questions and helped me to see how beneficial this site can be for me. Can’t wait to get out there and start dating!

The most competent person I dealt with was the saleswoman. She was very good at her job, but her pursuit of my business (after I told IJL that I wasn't interested), was predatory. In hindsight, her mission was to not let me off the phone until I had agreed to sign the contract. My matchmaker was incompetent and a bully. I felt like she wasn't listening to me and was always trying to get me to lower my standards for a match. The interview process seemed very shallow to me. My only attempt at the video interview was a complete technical failure. I never scheduled another appointment and wasn't offered an "in person interview," as stated in the contract.

I have been very satisfied with the IJL matching service. Aleisha and Tameka have both been respectful of my requests and helpful in finding good matches. It has been a pleasure to talk with them and I would recommend them to my friends.

This company misrepresents themselves in their contracts and their guarantees. They don’t provide any services and when they can’t find a match they berate the client as if it’s their fault. They pretend to have locations around the world and advertise a number of cities yet they want to send a young woman to meet some strange man in an unfamiliar city 4 hours away at night! They have no customer service. They never answer correspondence nor return calls. The secretaries are rude. The entire company is a scam. They charge $** and cans you get zero.

IJL did a nice job for my first IJL date, and that’s really encouraging because matching people is hard to do: infinite variables! I liked that IJL got substantial information about me, and wanted feedback about the date. I really believe they’re the best, and will come up with a great match for me in the future.

I initially had a great conversation with a marketing agent who sold me on the service and led me to believe I would receive potential matches that fit with what appeals to me. I was then sent matches that were not at all interesting to me. The “team” I was assigned to was untrained and not interested in me or finding me an appropriate match. Aliesha was the main contact. I had two dates over a two year period and then the final 3 potential matches offered I declined because they didn’t meet any of my criteria. I was told this was considered a date and that was the end of my contract. She would not let me talk to a supervisor or file a complaint.

What a joke! This was a huge financial decision to trust them in finding dates for myself. I am a veterinarian that travels a lot and needed help finding local people when I was home. I opened my "market" up to my entire state. I paid the initial $** and $**/month for hopes of having one date a month (their reported average). My first match was not attractive at all. I went over again what I wanted with my matchmaker Mel (who sounds like she is reading a script every time I speak with her) and even sent her pictures of my exes. Match number 2 was very attractive, we set up a date.... He cancelled on me twice!!. I said I would no longer make dates with him.
