My experience with It's Just Lunch has been positive. Within a week or two after joining, my first date for drinks (which became dinner too) was arranged. Ashley R., one of the 'Executive Matchmakers' might as well be called Executive Angel as she located a very compatible match on her first try! First dates aren't always my favorite thing, but when the right one comes along it could be the last. Cheers to IJL.

I signed up with IJL on April 27, 2020 and I've only experienced DISAPPOINTMENT, LACK OF ACCOUNTABILITY AND ENGAGEMENT BY MATCHMAKERS and WRONG MATCHES. This service has been a COMPLETE WASTE OF MY TIME and MONEY. This experience has been nothing but a continuing cycle of frustration and disappointment. IJL keeps saying they can service you. However, you cannot service a client if you do NOT call them back or listen to their criteria. I have given multiple opportunities for IJL to provide better service. But it is apparent that they don't care and there is no accountability at IJL. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!

I just had a date with someone via It's Just Lunch. The experience was better than I hoped for. The restaurant was outstanding-plus I didn't have to make any arrangements, details were handled by IJL! Debbie has been so helpful with my starting to date again after 10 years.

BUYER BEWARE!!! If you want to throw a couple grand out the window, then this service is for you! I paid the $2,300 in June plus an additional $95/month and was introduced to four women from the end of June to the end of October. Only one out of the four were within an hour of me in Green Bay. I was told (verbally by Jade) that there were plenty of candidates in my area. There were not. They did offer to not charge me the monthly fee for a while, but I turned it down, cut my losses, and decided to try the old-fashioned way. At least it is less frustrating and much less expensive. WASTE OF $$!!!

I want to say how well Debbie has managed my account. We had a special circumstance situation with a high profile client and unusual processes, but Debbie kept everything moving smoothly..she has been responsive and has answered all my questions.

Debbie has been great to work with through all of this, she keeps in constant contact and is a great help. The market I am in has a lot of potential matches and Debbie has been good and finding the right ones for me.

Any 5-star reviews for these company are people who are being paid. Matchmakers my tush. If you are over 40, in particular, run screaming in the other direction. Moneymakers, salespeople, con artists, preying on vulnerable folks. One expects the Gold Standard for what they charge. Initial sales pitch all saccharine and soulful, disingenuous hardly describes it. They threw 5 so-called Matchmakers at me, only one of whom was remotely sensitive to my desires and seemed genuine. Then she disappeared, no explanation, no apology, then voila! a new Match Maker. They all even sound alike (shudder). They read from a script, weeks, months go by with no communication.

Debbie hears me!! She has worked well with me in accommodating with different restaurants and some times. We are getting to know each other and I feel more and more comfortable every time we talk. Thanks for all your efforts in finding me a good soul!

Please, do not buy their membership. They took the money from me and then did not offer any service. One person with a name of Lisa just lied about everything and after I paid the membership she never responded back. When I asked for re reimbursement several months later, no one answered me back.

Debbie from It's Just Lunch has been a great matchmaker thus far. Every date she calls to check up, to ask how things went, to talk me through what could be better, and ask me what I think she could do better. Every single date goes significantly better than the last and she strives to improve and learn to make sure her clients are satisfied to the best of her ability. She has genuine passion for her career and it shows, I would recommend her to anyone seriously looking for love.

I want it known how much I appreciate Debbie! She is completely reliable. I can always get in touch with her, which was not the case with my first matchmaker. She understands that I am very excited to meet my right match, and I'm not kept waiting for my next match when one doesn't connect. I have high hopes that with Debbie's help, I will meet my match.

It took me a long time to get started with IJL. Once COVID hit, I was even more hesitant to pick up the service. However, once I was assured of the quality of the service and had my first few dates, I was certain my matchmaker, Obed, had my best interests at heart. I've currently placed my service on hold as I explore a new relationship that Obed helped put together.

The following review is a high level impression after being a member of IJS for 5 weeks, reviewing 2 matches, experiencing 1 date and speaking with 3 matchmakers due to their turnover. I am writing this in hopes of educating future readers as to what can be expected. All the standards and commitments that are made during the early stages of the interview and enrollment process are NOT a true reflection of the IJS team. Not only have I experienced a breach in one of IJS’s core values as it relates to confidentially, I was mocked by a matchmaker after sharing thorough feedback regarding a very negative and difficult experience. The response time by all matchmakers is anywhere between 7-8 business days and requires consistent follow up on your behalf to ensure a response is provided. There hasn’t been one email communication, phone call or experience since joining that reflects IJS works cohesively let alone as a elite service.

Obed has been working hard to find the right match for me. My first 2 referrals did not meet my criteria but he listened to what was important to me and my 3rd match was better. Obed is responsive and together we're trying to find a match for hopefully my final first date. I believe he deserves to be recognized for his efforts.

I was reluctant to sign up because I had such a horrible experience with this company in Detroit. But they assured me that things were better ten years later so I gave them a chance to prove it and they failed. Let's see where do I begin. My matchmaker (who was supposed to be arranging dates for me) changed 3 times due to high turnover in the company possibly? I also cooperated completely with everything they asked of me and how many dates did I go on in 12 months before the pandemic? Zero. Did they offer to give me my money back? Nope. They just ignore me now. Waste of time, money and energy. I would have more luck meeting people at the beach, grocery store, gas station, concerts, restaurant of choice, library. Anywhere on earth except IJL. That is twice they have bested me. If it happens a third time then I deserve to not meet anyone ever again.

I signed up for It's Just Lunch because I am looking for a partner who is ready for a serious relationship and knows what he wants. I thought a matchmaking service would be perfect for finding men like that and it can be difficult to find men who want something serious on the dating apps. However, I was so disappointed and upset with It's Just Lunch. In about 2 months they did set me up on multiple dates, but only with men who did not fit what I was looking for at all. Namely, the men they chose lived too far away for a feasible relationship and were of a different religion, when I had expressed I was looking for someone of my same religion.

I feel really misled having signed up for this service. When signing up, I was fed all these hopes of there being young professional men who are ready to pursue a partner, even in this pandemic! Every date was exhausting and even after lots of feedback given to my matchmaking team, there was nowhere near a connection. If you're a professional young woman, I'd say to save your money and just hang on until a better service comes around. They charge $1800 just to join, and then $98/month for membership. They'll paint a pretty picture of how you can put your membership on hold at any time if you think you've found a connection or need a break, but what they don't mention is that it still costs $28/month to NOT use your membership and let your file sit on a computer in an office somewhere.

Debbie is working hard on my behalf and gets better with each candidate she sends. She is open to feedback and follows up in a timely matter. Sadly, at my age the pool of high quality men is much smaller. Thank you!

The sales pitch during the first call is great. You will think you are the most important person in their database. You will quickly learn you are insignificant and after calling and emailing repeatedly you will not get a response. I was ignored for months. Once I filed a dispute with my credit card all of a sudden IJL staff called to salvage the relationship 3 months later. Sadly, there was no plan. It was a series of excuses for staffing issues. I was ultimately told by a VP that my account was on hold and no activity would happen. The VP was rude, condescending and full of excuses, none of which had anything to do with me. The “matches” are a joke. IJL doesn’t listen to your wish list - they randomly pick people that are not close to a match but fill the requirement of “presenting a match”. IJL is unprofessional, a waste of time and money and falsely advertise their services. Stay single!!!!

Adrienne did an excellent job! She listened to my interests and hobbies and reviewed the matches to be sure there was a good initial good fit. She followed up with calls and emails mails to be sure the connection was made.

I paid $2,800 for 4 dates or 4 months, whichever comes later. In the past year I only received 1 date who was a complete opposite of the person I identified at my matchmaker interview. This company kept switching matchmakers on me as well; I had 4 of them. No return emails or phone calls for the majority of the time. I spoke to several managers. The last one was completely rude and no help at all. I am seeking a full refund. I have recently found out they have been involved in a class action lawsuit as well for their fraudulent business practices.

I purchased 12 dates and after 2 months still no dates. It's Just Lunch! match maker does not return phone calls or emails even after a week. You can only turn down a match if the person is not the same age, parental status or religion as requested. So, if you do not like his looks and are not attracted to him, no matter what that counts as a date.

Obed has been doing great matching me with guys who have similar interests and values in my desired age range and location. He is always professional, listens and seems to be a hard worker. I really appreciate all that he’s doing to make great matches. Thank you!

Amy asked great questions and really got to know me which made her more precise at picking matches for me. I would recommend Amy and IJL to anyone! The pre-screening process was very thorough and I felt like I was in very good hands throughout.

I used a matched making service in the past and was very unhappy with the matches and how difficult it was to get a hold of my matchmaker. When I switched to IJL I found it easy to get in touch with my matchmaker, Amy, and she has done a wonderful job matching me with guys I would naturally be interested in. I would definitely recommend this service to others.

I've had an excellent experience with IJL so far. The matchmaking team for the Kansas City area was very friendly and responded quickly to emails and calls. They work diligently to gather feedback from dates and refine the matching criteria.

I hired IJL and Obed because I am a busy professional single father and I found myself divorced after many years and not wanting to take my chances on unvetted dates on the internet. I gave them a description of what I was attracted to and the type of lady I was looking for and they delivered a great date right out of the gate. We have decided to get better acquainted and see where it goes. Without IJL I would still be in my same old rut routine and not knowing how to meet quality women.

I feel like IJL is trying to accommodate my dating needs. I traveled a long way for my dates and I felt like Obed did well on my first two matches. My first two dates were both intelligent, attractive, and well read ladies. I didn't find a spark with either, so I am looking forward to what he comes up with next. Regards.

I've had two dates with IJL so far. Both dates matched the main characteristics I requested: educated, intelligent, successful professional, and leading an active lifestyle. I prefer the IJL approach to dating over online, because they do the work for me finding matches I'm interested in. These days it is good to have the security of knowing you are meeting someone real who has been vetted by IJL. Obed has done a great job keeping in communication with me during the challenging times of COVID and has worked hard to find quality matches for me. I'm confident he's doing the best job for me. He has also done a great job in selecting some of the nicest restaurants in Kansas City, and having a good atmosphere for the dates is a great bonus. IJL is a more sophisticated way of dating that I’m confident will lead to me finding that someone special.

I got off to a bit of a rough start, and there's a few things about the service overall that I question, but since Debbie picked up my account, my experience of IJL has improved tremendously. Debbie is a five star coach!

I signed up with this company when I lived on the East Coast, I was promised a specific number of dates AND that they would all be in my area. After three months and all of two dates (both over 50 miles away), I asked for a refund. I was told not only that they would not refund my $**, but they were incredibly rude. I asked for the Corporate number to speak with their President. I was told, "Our President doesn't speak with clients"! Pretty arrogant! I'd use literally ANY other dating service than this one.

My experience with this company was awful. I am a educated very attractive successful women living in Boston. My husband passed away from a lengthy illness so I thought I would try Just Lunch. They made all kinds of promises in the beginning giving me actual hope in meeting a kind and interesting gentleman. I have been with them for 6 months-29 weeks-201 days to be exact and NOT 1 Date. The only time they call me is when I write them asking why and to please just refund my money. I don't think there is a big pool in Boston but of course they don't tell you that. I have owned my own company for 19 years and if I ever treated my clients this way I would be out of business. So in a nutshell they took my money and have done absolutely nothing to earn it. Again to be clear not 1 date!!!

Although I only joined a few months ago I can honestly say everyone I’ve spoken to has been very courteous and helpful. I feel Obed has listened to my feedback and taken what I said into consideration. I have no complaints at this time. Thank you.

Years ago I joined this service which resulted in one poorly matched date. This week I cashed my check from their class action lawsuit. This week I also received a head hunter call from a super rude employee. She insulted me and kept pushing the service. I know she was trying to get dates for her 50 year old men but insulting me and shaming me is not the way to go about restoring this companies image. I suggest you stay far away from this company.

It's Just Lunch is the biggest scam and joke of a company I've ever been affiliated with. DO NOT waste your $ or time signing up for any of their services. You will be very disappointed. They promise you the moon when giving their initial sales pitch then they deliver the complete opposite.

As a fairly new customer.... My experience so far has been excellent. All my friends are watching closely....even the married ones. I have been introduced to 2 bachelors and they were both lovely....and they have asked me for a second date. I feel Vanessa really gets me. I am grateful to her.

Sent me nothing like I suggested. Person I was dealing with very impersonal. Not a good experience. First 3 people were nothing like what I would ever be attracted to. When I called and gave my concerns they basically said, "It doesn’t matter, this is what we are sending you." When I asked how people are screened. No answer. Frankly. I don't think there is any screening. I dated one guy who was just rich and wanted rich affluent women sent to him. Not for a relationship. Just for sex. They should have known that.

Just had my first day and I was very impressed with the quality of the man and the beautiful location of the restaurant. I loved the follow up for my matchmaker Debbie. She even called me on a Sunday to check in! Thank you.

My experience has been disappointing. I think they take on a much high volume of women than men & aren’t able to keep up. I have been a member for 5 months, had 5 matchmakers and been out on 2 dates. If you are a woman, I would not bother. I think their practices are deceptive.

I paid $2,800 to find a partner after my divorce. They were never able to find one match to meet my criteria and were unwilling to give a refund. If I could give no stars I would. Now they tell me my membership is expired. Save your money.

I would not recommend this service. It is extremely expensive for the value received. I have been on 9 dates and have received only 1 woman's contact info, in spite of offering many of these women my contact info. I have never been on a second date with this service. To be fair, IJL has done a very nice job with matchmaking. Admittedly, I'm not the most handsome man. I'm not the most charming man out there. But, I think I bring quite a bit to the table. I think the problem is not so much that It's Just Lunch is doing a bad job. They do a pretty good job doing what they do. I think the problem for an average looking guy like me is, most likely, that women using this service have standards that I just cannot meet. I think that unless a man is a 9 or a 10 on the desirability scale, he's not going to have much success finding a partner using this service.

Obed my matchmaker at IJL is great. I've been satisfied that Obed is interested in my well being and connecting me with interesting people. My first match was enjoyable and we'll be going out dancing soon. I look forward to be able to continue to work with Obed. Thank you.

overall I am disappointed with IJL, for the unbelievable amount of money you guys charge for your service, the results are not there. It's sad that you guys cannot even pay for our meal or a simple drink from the large amount that we have paid for this service. The pool of men is limited and not much better than say Tinder. My first match maker was awful and not great at her job, my new Matchmaker is better and putting in a greater effort to find the right fit for me. IJL needs to charge about 25% of its current cost or less, it's pretty much extortion for not an elite experience overall. Please take the feedback to improve.

I joined It's Just Lunch about two or three weeks ago and I guess I've kissed ** goodbye. I initially contacted It's Just Lunch and spoke to Marlo, who seemed in a great rush to sign me up. She went through a "getting to know me" conversation where she asked me various superficial questions about what I liked, disliked, hobbies, family, etc. She clearly did not listen to any of the answers. Not even ten seconds after I told her I have no siblings or children and both my parents are dead, she asked me how important it was for me to spend time with my parents, brothers, sisters, children, etc. I also told her that I was not interested in outdoors activities such as camping, hiking, but I was interested in playing golf. I told her that I would like to date in Manhattan and she said that would be easy to arrange.

I enjoy that I get to meet someone in person. I'm also glad that they are opening up for places for dates. I like that we don't know anything about each other, that way you have something that talk about when you first meet.

This was my first match with Adrienne and so far it’s been amazing. I struggled to connect with my first match maker. I just didn’t feel like her attention was truly on me when we spoke. I don’t feel that at all with Adrienne. In fact, I feel like she is super attentive and most importantly, invested in me and my experience here.

Obed heard everything I shared and literally 100% found a match that fit what I was looking for! He showed a lot of patience for this job, good listening and then (I assume) hard work. Outstanding!! Coronavirus had me slightly lonely, but this has given me some fun back in my life.

He takes the time to understand what you're looking for in a partner without passing judgment and doesn't try to push matches on you that are outside of your preferences. I was pleasantly surprised with my date with Miriam. She was a genuinely lovely woman both on the outside and inside. I am sad she did not share many of my interests but she was a wonderful woman to meet nonetheless. I wish that there were more who share my interests as that is what I wish to talk about mostly. My first date was with Michelle. I found her to be a very attractive woman and enjoyed our conversations. We had a great lunch at Bristol Seafood. We realized we were not a match. But that did not stop us from having a good time.

Update: Amy reached out today and we had a thoughtful discussion about the issues I experienced and she found another potential match for me. She apologized for the bad experience I had and clarified that It’s Just Lunch does not pay people to go on dates with other people. She also made clear that my experience with Taryn is not the norm and that usually if the date goes well, both parties usually discuss and decide to put the membership on hold and see how things go. As a result, we were able to work things out. Thank you very much Amy.

Obed is my matchmaker who continues to work in finding a match for me. He always follows up with me after a first meeting with a match. As a client of Obed, he is determined to find that perfect match for me.

I haven't been with It's Just Lunch for very long, but have had a great experience! I've met great people, and it has been very comfortable and easy. My matchmaker, Udonna, is great and took time to discover my likes/dislikes. Follow up and follow through has been perfect.

My match maker Jake set up three dates for me. 1st was all right, second was spot on, no need for number 3, so cancelled it. Number 2 and I had a 3 hour dinner and Then a 5 hour lunch the following day. We have a lot in common and think we may have a relationship possibility. We will meet next Thursday and Friday To see what our possibilities are and next steps will be. Jake did a fantastic job for us.

A big high five and kudos to Debbie. She is amazing and does an excellent job setting me up on dates, follow up, friendliness and more. I am Very please with your service and especially Debbie. Also she knows my type and is able to set me up with women that meet my preferences.

Overall good service although prefer more frequent contact. Debbie has been terrific and is very accommodating. The only downside was one of the date venues was actually not open so we had to go somewhere else but made for a nice story. Debbie is great.

Debbie is open and good at guiding me through the process of how It’s Just Lunch works. She has listened to and addressed an issue with scheduling. I have just started with the company but anticipate that she will continue to be a great source of help.

I am happy with the services that Vanessa has offered. She patiently listens to my concerns when I call her, and she has set me up with a great in-person date recently at a nice restaurant here in Albany. While this date didn't work out, I loved the date itself, and I hope I get more like it. Vanessa is good at what she does, and she is the type of matchmaker who will deliver what IJL promises its clients.

Debbie with IJL has been great. I feel confident in her ability to match me with good prospects. She listens carefully to gather even more intel to make each date closer to the Mr. Right I seek. Highly recommend the IJL approach vs. online sites.

The positive reviews are obviously fake. As of March 2020, IJL doesn't provide physical dates anymore. CEO Melissa Brown informed us that going forward they're only offering virtual matches only. This is still in effect now that we're in September. So how can so many reviewers claim receiving good services and matches recently? Ridiculous.

I have signed up for IJL now for over one year. In that one year, I have been on 5 dates. None have worked out, often times I find myself settling because they are so bad at sending me actual dates. Also to note, if they send you a picture and you say no, it still counts as a date (And they are quick to remind you of this). Since the service does says it will give you 24 dates over a 1 year period we are well behind average. The company offers a plan for a refund, it is long arduous and requires sending certified mail. However they never respond got your certified mail you send them. Perhaps they are better in other markets than where I live, but that should be explained to me when I pay ** for the Diamond service. I frequently tell other people how bad the site is when they are considering. It has been an utterly awful experience from start to finish.

AmyJ has always been professional & prompt in responding to any of my needs. She listens well & informs me of any IJL rules & conditions for my benefit. She’s always excited to talk to me. I’m glad to have her.

Vanessa was attentive and listened to me. Online dating was a disaster and this is turning out rather well. Met a woman that appears to be compatible with me. The two of us have communicated regularly and taking our time. Thanks.

I’m so pleased with Obed’s ability to pick a match for me that most resembled what I asked for! This is my first match that I consider was up to par with what I envisioned IJL! can accomplish for me! Keep up the good work Obed, you have a great skill!

IJL is a scam. PLEASE DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY! They overcharge and grossly underdeliver. Matchmakers are a bunch of air heads who are awful at their jobs. I've had to follow up with them numerous times. IJL simply DOES NOT have a big and attractive client base but they'll make you think they do. I have never had a worse client service experience.

Right out of the gate Sheri nailed me and what is important to me! She is a great listener and seeks to understand what matters to me. This program is a game changer for me and I know will help me find my soulmate.

I'm new to IJL but have had a positive experience thanks to my matchmaker, Obed. With eight years at IJL, he's experienced and professional. But, more than that, he is patient and empathetic... he makes me feel heard and valued. I am confident that he is invested in finding a perfect match for me.

First, the contract never was sent... Had to request a PDF. In two months IJL sent three matches that didn’t respond. They said? Requested Zoom meeting after sendings two no shows? A BIG scam, DON’T PAY.

My Matchmaker Obed is really doing a great job listening to my needs and wants, when it comes to finding my match! I appreciate having him in my corner while I go through this process! So far I am happy with the experience, but it is definitely a learning process for me!

Nightmare, scam, google them before you pay for the service. Many suspect matches are boyfriends or spouses. They will keep your money and not refund. These reviews are probably left by them. Please do not use them.

Met my date at a cute restaurant. At a beautiful location. He was well groomed. You could tell he takes pride in his appearance. He was financially stable. He was Talkative. I felt very comfortable right away. And we both had a wonderful time.

It's been a pleasant experience so far. I've had 3 virtual zoom 'dates'. I've been happy with my exchanges both IJL team members assigned to me so far. Although I don't have anything to compare the experience to. And I am not sure how big the database is, And it is a challenge to operate with Covid. One thing that needs improvement is the phone system IJL uses. It's poor Quality.

When I first joined in May I was excited about this opportunity. The first person who was helping me set up two Zooms, Neither worked properly and she never got back to me, I was not pleased with the service and had considered asking for a refund as two months went by with only one successful Zoom. Then Lisa became my assistant. She has set me up on a successful Zoom and is working hard to continue to set me up on virtual dates until the time where I can meet someone in person will work. I have been pleased with the match Lisa made and feel she is working for me. I am hoping this level of service continues.

I joined IJL because I recently turned 70 and knew it was time to get serious about finding a relationship. A friend of a friend of mine met her soulmate, whom she married, through IJL and I thought that was a great recommendation. My salesperson (Robyn) was great: very friendly and engaging and helped me through the process of getting started. Although my first matchmaker and I were not a good match, I was then connected with Alma, who is wonderful! (And, I truly appreciate that IJL is very receptive to ensuring that you and your matchmaker are a good fit!)

I was very disappointed with my experience and services provided through IJL until I moved to Pittsburgh. My new matchmaker is Alma-G. She is attentive with excellent attention to detail, and follow through. She is excellent and I am glad I stayed with IJL.

Dating in Miami maybe a lost cause but IJL does what they can to help you out. The service is very professional, cordial and respectful. Generally the matches are of higher quality than dating apps but not always what one is looking for.

I regret paying as much as I did. I was not impressed by the six dates I went on in a month and a half. Yes, I could have given it more time but I put my account on hold (a $30/mo. charge to do so) and after much better meet ups with online dating I decided to cancel my IJL membership three months later. I suspect there isn't a good inventory of men for them to work within the MKE area, and I do not believe they reach out to members on hold status should a suitable match arise. When my membership was on hold I would have gladly changed my status and paid the extra rate/mo if they called me and said "we found a great match for you". It seems like once you join you become a statistic; I didn't find there was any bit of a personalized experience as one would expect with this kind of service. Therefore I found the "matchmaking" advantages as a gimmick.

I joined IJL early this year, the initial survey they do to get to know you is really detailed and thorough to help them understand who you are and what you are looking for. Their calls their work and setting up the whole date and giving you tips and asking for feedback after each date makes the experience fun and enjoyable! When COVID19 hit, they called and suggested that I put my account on hold so I won't lose time or dates and ensure the safety of their clients, that shows they have my best interest in mind!

I have found the service to be thoughtful and comprehensive. Debbie has been timely and responsive in her actions and suggestions. My encounters have been with kind and respectful individuals who I have been very happy to get to know better. I am looking forward to my next encounter.

Signing up in January was great! It was easy and felt genuine that they had my best interest at heart. First date was in February and he wasn't a correct match. Although he was very handsome, he had a child and didn't want more. For me, that was a HUGE deal breaker. However, I learned so much about myself and how to start dating again that I took it as a positive, learning experience. During our date he told me that after 7 months IJL called him and presented them with me. I kept that information in the back of my mind and thought that I hope this didn't happen to me. Never used a dating service before this one so I can’t compare, but I’ve had multiple conversations about helping with the search process from my agent and have had generally positive experiences on dates so far. During the socially limiting period of the quarantine and shutdowns, they started virtual meetings that have so far been pleasant and IJL solicited feedback after each one and my agent called me the following day after each one as well.

While I am still new to IJL, thus far I have found Alma to be sincere and thoughtful and a pleasure to work with. She is a good listener and provides honest, constructive feedback. I've been an IJL member for several months. I joined because I had a great experience 10 years ago when I lived in Omaha, NE. I think IJL is really the only way to go when looking for a partner. I began my IJL experience extremely disheartened because I was matched with a few matchmakers who weren't a good fit for me and didn't get what I was looking for or seem invested in me finding love, but that all changed when I was transferred to Sheri. My initial phone call to IJL was to make some inquiries only, and get a general feel for the company. That is when I was introduced to Eva **; she immediately made me feel at ease with all of my questions and took the time to explain everything in a very relaxed and professional manner that made me feel there was no pressure. I told her I wasn’t ready to move forward and she reassured me that she would be there whenever I wanted to discuss the matter and there was no need to make the decision until I felt comfortable.

This company is a waste of money and they sure waste a whole lot of it (to the tune of $**.) During the recruitment process, they promise you the moon and back, but they simply cannot deliver. They tell you there are so many men that would fit your criteria. They even start talking about the details to get you excited. My recruiter said stuff like “oooo there’s another guy in your area who’s a physician. He fits your criteria to a T!” After I’ve signed up and paid the money, my dating specialist never called me. After about 3 months of waiting, I finally called her and she says “I’m still working on your matches.”

Sheri has a great personality & listened to what I’m looking for, she’s not in a hurry to get off the phone, it seems she wants this client to be comfortable with IJL. As she works towards a successful outcome!! For me so far so good!!! She’s an A+.

I have been working with Amy for the past 8 months, and I have been very pleased with the experience. She has really taken the time to get to know me and the type of match I am looking for. She is very thoughtful and deliberate in her process, and only matches people together where she has a great sense that they will connect. I was not contacted by my matchmaker for more than a week after I joined. When I contacted the company, I was assigned to another specialist. She set up a match very quickly, and we met online. She didn't mention that the date lived 200 miles away. I don't think it should be considered a match, if he isn't looking for a LDR. He was nice, and we had a good conversation.

My experience with IJL so far has been ok. I rejoined the site a couple of months ago and went on my first virtual date a few days back and that went good. The matchmaker that I am working with Sheri has been very helpful and very informative about what I need to do for the time being while the service is going through this transition until things go back to normal.

FRAUD! FRAUD! FRAUD! Warning! Don't join It's Just Lunch! They are the biggest fraud on this planet. Here is my story. I joined their service in Nov 2019 and sales girl really talked me into this. She convinced to join It's Just Lunch! for a 12 months 24 dates package. They will talk to you very nicely before you join them. Sweet talkers. I am a victim of that. So what they do is they will give you a match maker after you join. I was given a match maker very first day of joining. When I talked to the match maker I came to know Sales girl and match maker don't even match on their thinking, I was like, "Damn I got screwed." I paid already and now I am stuck. It is a lot of money. I paid 4000$.

Sheri has been my matchmaker for a few weeks now and so far it's been a great experience. She's very friendly and truly wants to make sure her clients get the best possible experience. It's Just Lunch has also been proactive during the current coronavirus situation and Sheri made sure that I was aware of the virtual date option so that I wouldn't miss out on potential matches.

I tried an alternate dating platform in the past. My matchmaker there was an awesome person, but 5 out of 6 dates were complete weirdos. My second date with IJL was a great! My matchmaker listened to what I was looking for and delivered. I’m glad I didn’t let discouragement keep me from trying again.

“It’s Just Lunch” is a paid matching making service and I’ll be the first to tell you that I wasn’t quite sure what to expect when I signed up. I’ve never used a matching making service before, but I turned to this option after several discouraging experiences with dating apps including Hinge and Bumble. What dating apps don’t tell you is that using them has to become at least a part time job, swiping through endless profiles, hoping to find someone with similar interests, then setting up the date (I guess because I’m a guy and girls don’t feel like they should make dating suggestions), only to be judged and treated like a number or an inconvenience with an arrogant date.

I have worked with Obed for the last year and have really enjoyed his professionalism in the way he has listened and been able to match me to my dates. UDonna at It's Just Lunch has been quite helpful and has been conscientious about staying in touch with me. The employees at the Solid/Liquid restaurant in Boise, Idaho were well-informed about our date and very helpful. Connie H is the Best!! I have recommended her to two of my friends. She is especially attuned to the needs of her clients, and listens and counsels attentively. Connie was able to think creatively to make a match which was at first blush, unlikely due to geography and a need to relax some other boundaries. Debbie listened carefully to my requests for the kind of man I would be interested in dating. My first date was a huge success; he was interesting and interested...lunch lasted nearly three hours!! The restaurant was a great choice, intimate with a varied and eclectic menu and delicious food.

They respond to my phone calls, and the many questions that I have about the program. I am somewhat more familiar with Monique, in that she was the initial person that tended to my needs. He's been very easy to work with and reliable in regards to returning phone calls, answering emails, etc. which is extremely important to me as a client. The first lady I talked to after putting together suggested that I try older women than the age range that I put on my initial profile. My fault is that I let her do that. My dating coach was not helpful. The company gave me different dating coordinators each month. Most of the women they offered were older than the age range I put on my online profile. I went on a second date with only one of the women they set me up with. After that second date, I never heard from her again. The first woman they set me up with (who was older than the age range that I put on my online dating profile) told me that it would not work. Since I work in a facility that does not allow personal cell phones inside the building, I said I prefer email. The last coordinator they set me up with kept trying to call me at the most inopportune times for me. I believe I was charged too much for the service I received.

I have had one lunch date. It was very good. Obed was very helpful and encouraging. My lunch date was fun, smart and interesting. He was a professional and we had similar interests. I look forward to my second lunch date.

I've only been on one date so far but I've felt communication with my matchmaker has been helpful. Erica listens to my suggestions and as a bonus is fun to chat with during our conversations. I like the questionnaire follow up for the dates as well as the frequent phone chats to make sure everyone is on the same page.

I've been a member of IJL for about 6 months now. Got off to a bit of a rocky start as I had about 4 matchmakers early on, and very limited outreach. I was very concerned with the turnover and it felt as though I'd wasted my money. More recently though, I've been working with Vanessa, who seems to have a genuine passion for putting the right people together. She has been a joy to work with, and I hope to continue to work with her though finding the right person for me. I hope IJL realizes that's it's all about finding and rewarding truly great matchmakers like Vanessa. Finding and retaining this kind of person is your differentiator. Without this, IJL is just a half step above online dating, at a steep premium. It really is that simple...
