I was having trouble with getting women to actually set a date on the online apps. This is taken care of by the staff especially Patricia at It's Just Lunch. They are like your Hitch in the movie. Give it a try.

I joined It's Just Lunch in Nashville. Before joining I had two conversations with Diane, the sales agent, in March 2021. She promised me that I would have 24 dates in 12 months, unless I decided to voluntarily put my account on suspension to date the same person. I was ok with that because ideally I'd rather date the same person in a relationship than date 24 different women. I specifically asked Diane if they had enough single women in my age range (53), and she said they did. As it turns out, they apparently don't.

If I could give this company and its service a 0 rating I would! I signed up and paid a very large sum of money during a promotional time for It's Just Lunch at the start of the pandemic May of 2020, for a guaranteed 5 dates or 5 months whichever comes last. I did not want to participate in the Zoom option dating, so they were kind enough to put my account on hold for a while. By December 2020 I had not heard any news about dates or even about the company's policy changes/updates with regards to COVID and all of the lockdowns.

I joined and my contract was 1 year and # of dates. No fast forward two years later....Also between this I have had 5 MM because of turn over or just inadequate service. I tried to get out of my contract, but that is not an option. Overall the MM don't listen and know their clients too well to match. It's like he has legs, and can read I will match you all... Also the a few of the folks I was paired with were alarming. One person had lied about having a child and I later found out and another....I won't go there... I totally do feel like I wasted some money, but hey it is what it is.

I have enjoyed meeting people through IJL, because they give the date an honest try. The matchmakers took the time to get to know me and my interests. They were always respectful and good listeners. It can be hard to keep dating fun, and my matchmaker helped me keep a positive attitude. Thank you :-)

I absolutely adore Hazel and appreciate all her hard work in helping me to find my soulmate. Hazel‘s personality is simply perfect!!! She is upbeat and personable and always has a positive demeanor. I also like that she takes her time to find a suitable match for me. Quality vs quantity, which I truly appreciate.

Although I think IJL is very pricey, I like the individual attention and privacy that it ensures. Once you find a consultant that you click with and who takes a personal interest in you, this organization probably can't be beat. However, that did not happen immediately and I would suggest that IJL try to improve in that department.

The professional matchmakers at IJL are passionate about their work! They take the time to get to know my interests and my relationship goals to find impressive matches for me. After each date, the matchmakers use my feedback to fine-tune the selection process. I highly recommend IJL for busy professionals serious about improving the quality of their dating experience. I was assigned to my matchmaker - Ms. Debra. When I had a virtual meeting with her, I knew that I could find someone sooner or later because when she introduced herself by saying that she was a good matchmaker for majority of her friends even before she started working at IJL. I had a few meetings so far; These were new learning curves for me.

Joanne and the It’s Just Lunch’s team has been great to work with. I appreciate the fact that I get responses to my questions in a timely manner. I have met good professionals throughout my dates and even though I have not met “my person”, I feel that based on the feedback I provide after each of my dates they get to know me better and can get closer to my ideal match.

I am incredibly disappointed in how things are going with IJL. At almost 4 months I have had one date. That one date was really bad. The gentleman did not have one single attribute that I verbalized that I was looking for during my interviews IJL. I was led me to believe that IJL has a robust database of men that fit my criteria. Two additional attempts to set up dates were attempted however I was informed that neither were available any longer. The return on my investment to date has been very poor. I have reached out to IJL directly and have not received a response.

Debra was very thorough in learning and documenting my personality traits, likes, dislikes, etc. She produced several dates with men who were compatible with me and attractive. She very accurately described these men to me making it very easy to "break the ice" and enjoy the time we spent together. Debra was very positive, encouraging and seemed excited to help me find a great match. I highly recommend Debra to anyone looking to find their next romantic relationship!!!

Due to several dates having issues, it has not been a great experience for me. The first date found out to be married. Second date had mental health issues and the third Date never paid for the program and paying rent and was arrived 3 times. Would never recommend and will spread the word about this company.

I love the idea of this dating site, but it has not gone as smoothly as I had hoped. My current matchmaker is Joel. The matchmakers all seem to be very nice, knowledgeable, and willing to listen, however, I have not had one long enough to feel comfortable with or build rapport with. I think they try to find appropriate matches for their clients and I'm always looking forward to my next date. This is definitely a longer process than I thought it would be!

I've been associated with IJL since mid December. I was assigned Joel as my date coordinator and I've already had 2 successful dates. I find Joel to be extremely helpful, dedicated, passionate and professional. I would highly recommend IJL and Joel to anyone who is serious about about finding a companion.

I signed up for IJL in November 2021. Christi almost “golly geed” herself to death telling me how many eligible men there were in Toronto. As soon as she got my credit card, she never returned another call. When I spoke to my matchmaker, Vanessa, and asked to video meet soon, she promptly advised me she had other clients, not just me. She sent me 2 choices. The one I liked wasn’t interested. Next thing, Amy is my new matchmaker and sends me someone I know and it would have been awkward. So, that counts as a date for the month. They can then tick the box to say they fulfilled their obligation. It’s not necessary for them to think it’s not fair to client so let me find someone else.

Almost zero to no customer service. The only time I hear from IJL is when I voice being upset. The matches are either fake or not vetted. I paid $2k for just about nothing and have had the service for just about a full year now. I have been on one date. They do not listen. I have had several match makers and none of them care.

I have developed a great rapport with my personal match maker, Shaun. He a great listener and I feel comfortable when speaking with him. He gets to know you better after a date, so he can better fit you with the better match. I discuss with him my likes/ dislikes. Shaun is my biggest fan during this process! I have two more dates to go and I know it will only get better. Shaun lets your personality shine and be revealed when we are communicating. This is truly of value in finding the right one!

I signed a contract for It's Just Lunch. The initial video interview was supposed to be an hour. It lasted for 15 minutes and consisted of an It's Just Lunch rep. pressuring me to date older men and travel more than an hour to a different city for a date. I sent a request to terminate the day after signing a contract. I encountered a full court press pressure campaign to stay in the service including calls from the VP Julie Yarworth. After I reluctantly agreed to stay in the the contact, I learned that everything the VP had said about the service was misleading at best. They promised me great customer service. Missy, my matchmaker, has not returned any calls and in fact lied about our interactions. She left me a voicemail on 11/26 and I tried to call her because I had concerns about the matches, but she never returned my call. I spend the next week trying to get in touch with her.

I am new to the It's Just Lunch dating service yet have been very pleased thus far. My matchmaker Sarah has been very responsive and has zeroed in on appropriate matches for me in my area. She has been responsive and encouraging despite the chaos of newly dating during the holiday season.

The matchmaker set me up with 2 dates but my first date captured my attention. It was perfect. We are still in the infant stage so rime will determine the final outcome. But wanted to give a Debra her credit for matching us together. It so far has been a good fit and we are going on our 3rd date together.

My latest date was just perfect. Spot on. I am even set up for the next date. The people at It's Just Lunch are very helpful and give great advice. Great people, great advice, great understanding lead to great dates.

This service was a complete waste of time and money. They promise that they do such a thorough job of matching and then you are tossed around to multiple different matchmakers. I had to repeat my preferences to no less than 5 people. When I expressed dissatisfaction in the service absolutely nothing was done about it other than switching my matchmaker who would then switch again during the next match. Of the people I went out with, over half of them were people that I had absolutely nothing in common with, and when I asked why I was matched with them I was never given a straight answer. I just kept getting their runaround sales pitch. No one should waste their time on this service, you'll have better lunch on Tinder.

Have you heard the saying, “walk your talk?” Well, It’s Just Lunch (IJL) “talks the talk”—-they say all the right things that makes you believe they can help you with dating—-but they don't deliver. I signed on with IJL in August and here it is almost 3 months later and still no date. I have agreed to go out with every match (four thus far) they presented and…nothing. The very first match they arranged, the date was a “no show,” and it was downhill from there. During my initial two hour interview with them, they told me there was no refund. That should have been a sign. In my opinion, don’t spend your money expecting to get someone to help you with your dating because it will be money wasted.

Amy has worked hard to accommodate dates for me. She listens to what I am suggesting and tries hard to send compatible dates. I really enjoy working with Amy and I hope this continues. Amy has gained my trust and is passionate and cares about her job. I like Amy for because she listens and cares about her job and wants the best for the people she’s helping. Thanks Kindly Dan **

My experience with Katie R. in IJH’s Florida office has been wonderful. Katie is very attentive to my requests and always replies to me in a timely way. I appreciate that she takes time to evaluate the right matches according to my needs. Katie R. is a professional matchmaker. I am glad that I can work with her.

I joined IJL during their Valentine's Day 2021 promotion. It cost almost $**. Since that time, I have been on one date! And another that was a no-show and a total waste of a valuable Sunday. I had to drive an hour for a no-show, because there was no one to contact to cancel on a Sunday. I am a "good catch", and the women they presented to me (very few, and very far between) were nothing like my parameters I have set with them. My contact at IJL kept changing and they rarely returned my calls and emails.

I have really struggled with the idea of a service like this, but Katie has certainly changed my mind about what is possible here. She has been responsive, kind, and intuitive. I appreciate her and the service thus far! I would recommend her as well.

TERRIBLE COMPANY AND AWFUL SERVICE! Not worth spending any money on. Even if it were free, it's not worth the aggravation you'll likely experience. Their matchmakers have the equivalent maturity and professionalism of a teenager and are extremely difficult to work with. They will literally take weeks to respond to you then come back with suggestions that couldn't be more off from the guidance and details that you provided them with.

Do not try this service. Their customer service is horrible, anytime there is a problem they will bounce you around to different staff so that you don't ever talk to the same people. Their contracts are well written and impossible to get out of. The dates I went on weren't necessarily bad, they could be better but that is the nature of dating, you won't have a connection with everyone. But the service was so not worth it. For several thousand dollars I expect to be treated like people are actually looking out for me. I could have gotten similar dates from free dating apps.

Ladies, let me save you time and money. This company makes all kinds of promises that they don't deliver on. In February of 2021, I paid ** with the promise of 12 dates in a year. It's been 8 months and I've been on 3 horrible dates. I haven't asked for anything out of the ordinary. I didn't put any restriction on ethnicity or location in the country. Ladies, we can do so much better on our own.

I have had a wonderful experience with It's Just Lunch thanks to my matchmaker, Ivette. From the beginning, she has evinced much empathy during this process. After the first date, she spoke with me at length to better narrow the focus for my next match. I truly trust her!

IJL claims to give refunds (less $500 processing fee) if they are unable to find matches for clients. However, when I tried to get a refund after low activity they bluntly refused, several times. I have been a client since February and there hasn’t been any activity on my account in three months. Since February there have been only 4 matches in 8 months.

Erin has been a great Matchmaker and is very detail-oriented. I highly recommend for these valuable services. It takes a lot of the work out of dating. It's Just Lunch will take the time to get to know you and find out what you are looking for. What do you have to lose?

Thanks to my matchmaker, Debra, I’m in a new relationship with a real gentleman who just adores me. I found him pretty quick, just two matches in. He’s thoughtful and considerate and a great listener. I’m excited for the future!! Thanks IJL! I couldn’t have done it without matchmaking support.

Don't waste your money on this place. All the things they promise are all lies. I read other reviews before I signed up but didn't believe them, boy was I wrong. I am now 4 months into this membership and they only got me one date who turned out to be a complete fake, pretty sure she works for the company as a fake date just so they can say they got you a date. At this rate I will have over 12 dates or more on my final month. Here is what is likely happening, they don't have inventory of women they can match me up to and they won't admit it. They also won't refund you because their contract is so ambiguous. There are better dating services, use those. Don't waste your money on this one.

I used their dating services over 10 years ago. They didn’t have enough men in their program for me to complete it. Since then, I get calls from them ALL the time. I have spoken to them multiple times requesting to be taken off their call list. I told them I am married now and don’t need a dating service. They say they will remove me, but 6 months later the calls start up again. Every time I get a call, I block it. After month or so, I get a call again from a different number. I always know it’s them because they leave a message. Plus, it’s always a Hollywood, FL number. I feel like I am being harassed by this company at this point.

No need waste your money with It’s Just Lunch dating service. They ended my service after two dates and kept my $2,500. Made it seem like it was my fault they didn’t set up my dates on payday. Don’t do it!

This business is terrible. They charged me ** for 6 months and they say they will put you on many dates but they don't. And when they do they are bad dates they are old men who are too old to do any activities. They also say they will coach you and there is no coaching. I got 3 dates in 3 months, they do not do what they say. Do not sign up with this company they do not do what they say and you will never meet anyone. Stay away.

Please Beware not to give your hard eared money to this company. My gave them $4000 only to be set up on a horrible date once in 11 months. She has requested on multiple occasions for a refund, and no one answers her emails or calls. I have personally wrote one of the company heads, Mike E. only to be ignored. They just want the money for very poor service. You could do much better on any other dating site. We are believing this is a scam now.

I joined It's Just Lunch last year with a pkg, I had to call get dates set up, no follow up calls to see how was the date, they set you up with associates, which are not paid members who are not looking for a relationship, just fulfill the date number give you a date 31/2 hours away in a different city and when you decline it goes against you, change of employees who are not ready to listen to you ready to pound on you, ask to speak to a member of mgmt, no one talks to you. Request them to return the call. 31/2 weeks later no call, charge thousands of dollars, do not waste your money.

I have had very nice experiences with all matchmakers and had a great first date. Hopefully, that will only continue. I know many people are concerned about the cost of this, but from my experience so far it is all worth it.

My advice to others considering working with this company would be simply, do not do it! My experience with this company has been nothing short of awful. After multiple incidences of miscommunication and downright incompetence, I informed the company that I was no longer comfortable working with them and requested that my service be terminated. They quickly let me know that a refund would not be issued, stating that I had “refused services” which was complete and utter dishonesty. They also accused me of “not giving the membership or process a chance”, after I had invested $2,000 into the service and had nothing but frustration to show for it. In my opinion this company is running an elaborate scam and I would advise extreme caution in working with them lest you also want your money stolen from you.

I signed up for IJL the first of the year thinking their service would provide a more professional way to make a romantic connection. I live in St. Louis, years ago IJL had an office locally but now they are centralized in the Tampa, FL area. The sales person put on a full blown pitch, suggesting they had plenty of male singles in my area. Over the last nine months I have been matched with only three men, two of which had never married, were socially awkward and long-time IJL subscribers. Obed, my direct contact, was anything but helpful and spent little time really understanding who I was looking for. After the third failed match, he suggested another match, a doctor, then he said, after presenting him to me he was not available. I believe it was nothing more than a stall tactic because frankly they likely didn't have a pool of available single men to present.

It is such a refreshing experience to get off the dating apps and work with a friendly, dating professional who wants nothing more than to find the perfect match for you! It is easy and fun to "get out there" with IJL dating.

Obed is great to work with. He takes his time, listens and gets to know me and my needs. I would recommend working with Obed. His job is not an easy one especially in our current times. It is appreciated.

I decided to go with my better judgment and not pay the $3400 for 12 dates/6 month. That's almost $300 a date and that does not include any additional cost from food/drinks/etc. I did not think it was a good investment of my money even if I could afford it. In addition, very few of the reviews were 5 star which is what I expect if I am spending that kind of money. I let It's Just Lunch! specifically Caroline know that I was no longer interested and wished to cancel my appointment. She refused to accept this as an answer and after I canceled the appointment created a new invite with a time 30 minutes later than the previously agreed upon time without consulting with me. I found this to be very unprofessional and disrespectful. I told her no in a polite way and my justified reasons for doing so.

Debbie has been an amazing matchmaker to work with! I have kept her busy with schedule adjustments and she has been keeping me busy with the matches... Debbie is always a wonderful person on the phone and very understanding and helpful! Well done Debbie, Thank you!

I was very hesitant signing up after a bad experience with IJL in the past. The sales rep told me about 6 men in my area that did NOT exist. When the matchmaker contacted me she had no knowledge of the men I was told about, in detail by the salesperson. After numerous attempts at matching me with men outside of my parameters I finally said, "Don't worry about matching me...only call when you think there is real potential." Mike matched me with a date who basically was emotionally and financially incapable. The date was easy to get past but the communication with IJL was truly unbelievable. After many attempts at reaching my match maker Mike and his manager, here I am writing this review. No call, no email. Setting me up with someone looking for a sugar mama and then being ignored by IJL is just unbelievable in this day and age. Do NOT sign up for with this company. It is a bait and switch and they disrespect women.

I had a terrible experience with this service and they completely misrepresented themselves. They will tell you anything you want to hear to get you to sign the contract. I was only offered dates who lived an hour away and were not compatible in any way. The more dates I turned down the more pressure tactics they used to try to get me to go on dates with people I was not interested in. My attempts to get a refund were futile and in fact they continued to email and call me about matches when I clearly stated I no longer wanted to use the service. I would hate for anyone else to go through what I went through with this company.

I enjoyed my date with Nancy. We were together for approximately 2 hours chit-chatting about everything and nothing. She was easy to talk to and presented herself well physically and intellectually. We agreed to a second date before we parted company.

In December I called IJL after seeing a friend have a professional experience. With Covid happening I thought it would be a good way to start. I spoke to a woman for over an hour when signing up who took all of my information. I signed up for 3 in person dates unlimited Zoom. However, she didn't tell me it takes 2 weeks to set up a zoom date. As well, the matchmaker assigned to you are all in the state of Florida. My girl was new and had just started. She had no idea of distance and northeast locations. I made it clear no more than an hr drive. So I declined several people living way too far away. NEVER was it said that would be counted as a date. No return phone calls, terrible service all around. And high turnover.

Their sales monkeys contacted me several times to get me into their "contract", which is a complete fraud. They just want to take the money and run away. I am surprised that they are not arrested for fraud. They ask for your credit card on the phone before anything! Complete scam.

Debbie has done a great job with matching. Her positive personality is great. I look looking forward to working with her on more matches. I live in Dallas and Debbie found someone that lives in my neighborhood. I have used IJL before and never had a better experience than I had with Debbie.

I had an excellent experience with my date. I am amazed how much we had in common. Thankyou IJL for bringing us together. I'm sure we would not have met without a little help from you guys. I would highly recommend IJL to anyone genuinely interested in having a positive dating experience.

Hello, I have signed up twice for It’s Just Lunch and Debbie has known how to identify very qualified lunch partners. It’s nice to have someone that you can talk to that knows your profile very well. Throughout coronavirus we did not communicate but she still remembered after almost 9 months. She would be the reason I would sign up for another contract with you if I choose to do so.

I have worked with IJL for a while now. It was a very rocky start, but since moving cities and changing to Debbie, it has been a much better experience. She is fantastic to work with and I appreciate her time and efforts!

Dating has been pretty tough during Covid not to mention in normal times, so I do understand it’s not easy to match people. So far my experience has been hit and miss. The dating advisors keep moving around which makes it hard to develop a relationship and trust as you have to tell your personal story over and over. One month was missed completely with a match, first match was far too aggressive. Second match our personal criteria didn’t match. Third, the gentleman seemed lukewarm so I didn’t even bother. We’ll see how the fourth match goes. I think Bryan is narrowing in a bit better with what I’m looking for which is helpful. Patience is the key here for sure.

I had really good experience, nice place, very fancy restaurant in good area. Little difficult to find restaurant main door but find it eventually. :) Ebony set this meeting special. Thanks to her. She is very friendly and very understanding especially when I had to cancel the first date due to my schedule change.

Debbie has done an awesome job listening to my criteria and making adjustments. I am so happy to have a Matchmaker who takes so much pride in her work and responds so efficiently. On top of that, you can tell Debbie really loves her work and that is an important ingredient for success. Debbie is awesome!

I am not happy with the quality of men I’ve been asked to meet. On a scale of 10 1 being the lowest 10 being the highest I am about a 7 or a 8 I think. My matches have been 3 or 4 in my opinion. I think I wasted my money buying into this service. But alas no refunds but I certainly cannot recommend IJL to anyone else.

IJL is much better than any dating site and the Austin team, especially Debbie, has been very attentive and helpful. They take everything about you into account when finding matches and continue to refine your search as time goes on.

I am new to IJL but so far it has been a positive experience. It is nice having the date prescreened and the date set up for you. Debbie has been very open, honest and forthcoming. SHe has made the process easy and fun. I look forward to using this service!

Debbie continually listens to my needs and my wishes in finding a match. She has set me up with 3 different men in Austin. All of them have been Gentlemen and I continue to see them. She is looking for the “perfect guy” for me by listening to my preferences.

So far I have been on two dates and they were great guys, just didn't have that spark. But I can already tell a difference in guys with IJL and online dating. I really appreciate my matchmaker Debbie who is always there if I need her and who is always fun to talk to. Highly recommend!

I was set up on a date and had a great time. We had a good connection, had a good amount in common and had a lot to talk about. I would recommend this service to a friend if they are willing to pay for this service.

One dinner in 60 days. The dating coach took it personal. The dinner match didn't match for me. Wanted to know why I didn't like the dinner, which is fine, but kept pressing for reasons. Acted upset. The company has Very bad communication.

As this is my first experience with It’s Just Lunch, I cannot say enough, and be happier with the hard work and the high quality dates Debbie H has been able to arrange for me here in San Antonio Texas. This place is a scam and horrible! They don't have any inventory to date. Their dates are a joke! Save yourself and your money! They lie....I expressed my concern in the beginning from what I heard about them and they assured me they had dates! THEY LIE! Save your money!

I've been an IJL member for a little over a year and I've had some good experiences so far and met some interesting men, but not the right fit yet. Bryan F recently became my IJL Matchmaker, and what I really appreciate about him is that he obviously reviewed my file for what I'm looking for along with the candid feedback that I've provided from dates with previous matches, and he did an outstanding job with the very first match he made for me. Even though my first date with this match was virtual, it was one of the best dates I've ever had and I'm looking forward to getting to know my match better and see what unfolds. When talking to them they told me the membership got me 3 dates. What they really mean is 3 "Matches". Which means they showed you 3 pictures and if you aren't interested in any of them then that's the end of your $1,000 membership. Not realizing that this is how it worked I said no to the first 2 matches and there was no reminder or heads up that I just vetoed 2/3 of my matches. Even after I said no to the 3rd match they didn't ask me if I wanted to extend my membership or if I enjoyed it. I had to reach out to them 4 months later because I hadn't heard from them.

All was great and efficient. I enjoy the service. Very helpful and nice experience. I would recommend the service to everyone. Very satisfying all around. My last match was the best match so far. Great smile, good sense of humor, and honest!

I had gone through the other dating services (Match, Silver Singles, Tinder, etc...) with with no success of finding someone to spend the rest of my life with. Debbie was the key to finding my life partner. We have been dating for 5 months and are currently living together. Thank you Debbie.

I signed up for matchmaking services through IJL. I wish I could go back in time and save myself the grief and the **. It’s been a nightmare of an experience. Not a single date, the potential “matches” met none of my specifications. Matchmakers were not interested in getting to know my desired qualities in a mate. What’s worse, I finally did get a “match” and he stood me up 20 minutes before the date was to begin. They clearly do not vet their potential matches. After I reached out about getting more appropriate matches- including ones that met at least ONE of my desired qualities and would actually attend a date- they claimed it wasn’t their problem. They then denied a refund based upon the “date” who stood me up.

Debbie has been encouraging during all exchanges. She works well with people and is real in every aspect of the experience. I like the way she gives accounts of success stories in the IJL journey. She has been very helpful

I have rated this service a 3 because I expected to be sent in more dates. If I was sent on as many as I was promised I would rate it a 5. My matchmaker is doing a good job listening to my needs and trying to improve my experience.

I recently signed up for It’s Just Lunch. I was assigned to my first matchmaker who immediately put me on a date. I expressed some apprehensions as I wasn’t sure she was my type, but he convinced me to go on the date anyway. After completing the date, there was no direct follow up by my original matchmaker for feedback or follow up. I made repeated calls and sent emails to my matchmaker with no responses from him. So I finally decided to call another representative after a week of no contact and was told that I had been reassigned to a second matchmaker.

I was skeptical about joining a match making service like IJL as I never had any luck with other dating sites or apps, and meeting girls anywhere else. When I join I was questioning whether I had make the right choice cause the price of my membership was really high. But I decided to give it a try anyway and see how it go. Up to this point I have been pleasantly surprised and happy that I join cause I’m getting to go on face to face dates with girls who are interested in meeting guys like me. I can’t say enough good things about my matchmaker Debbie, she’s been a real professional from the first day I talk to her and really cares about her clients, she takes the time to follow up on her clients after each date. If you are dating in Utah. I do NOT recommend IJL matchmaking services. Not what I expected. Biggest issue with IJL: NO dates. NO matches. NO introductions. I signed up with Julie Y. in the SLC office on 4-2018. I have went on 3 dates total in 3 years time. First date 5-2018, Second date 4-2019, third date 9-2019. That's it. No more matches or dates. One date per year? Crazy... As you can see, the dates are far and few. Who wants to wait that long for a date?

It's so nice to have IJL set up the time & place for the "meet & greet". I've been on 2 dates so far and both meeting locations more than met my expectations. IJL does what other dating sites don't do - they screen potential dates to help ensure they are real people. The guidelines and tips they provide are helpful and my dates so far seem to have similar integrity & values as my own. I'm glad I made this investment.

I'm a business owner & the mark of a good company is not when everything is going good, but what does that company do when something happens that is not according to plan & IJL people hit a grand slam. Our relationship started out a little rocky, but they fixed it. My first date there was not a connection but we ended up being friends. The second date WOW this lady was better than fabulous. A 20 out of 10. We hit it off and I'm anticipating what the future holds for me with this wonderful woman.

The overall experience has been good. My matchmaker Ashley R has been excellent in trying to arrange dates. The follow up with Ashley B has been good also. One area of concern was not being paired with compatible counterparts on the initial 3 dates. However my 4th and last date was surprisingly good. I suppose it is a numbers game.

I signed up for IJL in March 2020. During the pandemic I was offered two virtual dates. One was out of state, and one couldn't log on. It's been nearly a year and my first date (a virtual date) is schedule the end of February. I've had 5+ matchmakers in one year. The service is terrible. I requested, and was denied, a refund. They have been unable to provide me any dates in nearly a year. I can't imagine how they will provide me with 12 dates without scraping the bottom of the barrel, or throwing anyone at me. There's no consistency in the matchmakers. A total waste of time and money. RUN.

I bought a membership with IJL as a Christmas gift to myself in late November. I was tired of dating apps and thought perhaps a paid matchmaking service would provide a better option. Please don’t waste your money like I did! I have 3 complaints: IJL promises a personalized service where “your matchmaker gets to know you.” In the 2 months since they took my money, I’ve been assigned 4 matchmakers. I have spent hours repeating myself because apparently they don’t share/pass along information when they assign you a new matchmaker. They keep bouncing you from one matchmaker to another. It’s a huge waste of time in that regard.

I just wanted to tell you how much I appreciate Francesca, she is awesome. I appreciate how hard she works to help me get great dates..I do recommend IJL and I also recommend Francesca.. Thank you Francesca and IJL for your effort to help me find a companion for me. God bless you all!

This is my second experience with IJL and although I have not been successful, my experience with Debbie working with me has been a pleasure. Her job is not an easy one and she has accepted the challenge and continues to be very positive and upbeat.

My matchmakers Jennifer and Debbie have been awesome! They are both personable and accommodating. I was nervous about getting back out into the dating world and they both made me feel very comfortable. I would highly recommend IJL to a friend. Great program!

The most unprofessional and unresponsive "business" I have ever dealt with. They take your money and have no intention of ever matching you with what your parameters are. They have long gaps of time where they are unresponsive. One of the representatives "Udonna" made a snarky comment about my age and the fact that I still wanted to be a Mother. Run away from this unprofessional outfit. Bumble is better.

Giving your money to It’s Just Lunch is a waste. They promise a personalized service that will introduce you to individuals that you and your consultant agree on. Instead, they count anyone who can fog a mirror as a match and count them as an introduction. I have had 4 consultants in 6 months, seems to be a huge problem keeping employees. As a result there is no real continuity or effort to actually get to know you. Each time I had a new person they presented the same potential match, happened 3 times. None of those attempts actually resulted in an introduction because he was not available yet they counted that as a qualified match. It seems clear there really is not an inventory of available people to match, at least if you are a woman looking to meet a man. Save your money!

I signed up with the company at the beginning of the pandemic. I was promised 3 virtual dates and 3 face to face dates. In the end, I was only given two virtual dates because according to them, they were just extending a courtesy. My first virtual date was with someone who had just suffered a mental breakdown and wasn't ready to date. I live on Long Island and specified that I wanted to be matched with people on Long Island and not in the city. My next two matches were with people who lived in the city and who were not willing to come to Long Island. Finally, my last match was with someone who they claimed was in the city, but was actually living in Delaware, which shows that they do not keep updated information on current subscribers. Not only was I constantly ignored, but I was even insulted on one occurrence. This company is complete garbage and all they care about is getting your money. STAY AWAY!!!

My executive matchmaker, Obed, has been responsive and helpful throughout the whole process. I have greatly enjoyed the service so far, though I wish my matches were more evenly spaced, and there has been some difficulty accommodating my dietary restrictions.

For example, the initial date he arranged was in a restaurant where I knew I would feel uncomfortable due to their poor compliance with Covid restrictions. Obed immediately changed the venue, let my date know about the change and everything worked out just fine. I would recommend to friends to contact IJL for dating because IJL receives quality applicants and carefully reviews them. I would say for seniors in my age bracket 75 plus or minus 5 that the selection is scarce and that applicants need to be patient.

I was very disappointed that I checked Consumer Affairs for a review before giving money to this company, and they were not at all true to the reviews I’ve read here. When I joined in April they said because of shut down I could meet people online and it wouldn’t count as one of my five dates, this was very quickly canceled. In August, I met one person who was an OK lunch date but 10 minutes into the date he said he was happy alone. We had a nice lunch but of course I didn’t hear from him again.

I have been very pleased with the women that I have been matched with, as they exhibit the personality traits that are similar to mine and make the date enjoyable as the conversation flows easily. I am also pleased with the overall appearance of the dates as well as their promptness.

Vanessa has done a great job, very positive person. Follows up. The Zoom introductions are ok but something is definitely lost versus a face-to-face date. The women recommended were all appropriate for me except one who lives in another country making dating impossible. So, I’m going to take break and resume with IJL after the pandemic.

Half of the dates I've been on have been complete train wrecks. Instead of generalization of subjects you might have interest. Get specific! I want someone who is DEFINITELY INTERESTED IN THE SAME THINGS. Define body type guidelines. The "dad bod" was clearly obese. Looks come into play more than you realize. It's like looking at a plate of food, you eat with your eyes first.

Would highly recommend It’s Just Lunch especially for busy professionals like me or ones who work remotely and don’t get out much. The first date arranged by Obed was a good fit and is a possible future relationship. I exchanged numbers with the date and we have sent text messages back and forth soon after. We will likely go out soon after Christmas on another date.

I have been a member starting in July and had 1 phone call and 1 date until 12/9/2020 when Debbie H took over as my match maker. She has been wonderful. Set up a date for me 3 days later, called today to follow up on the date, the gentleman and the restaurant where we met. I was ready to resign and request a refund. Debbie prevented that simply by providing customer service and being nice.

I wish I had read all the negative reviews before I joined It's Just Lunch. Do not waste your money. The matchmakers are young. They do not know how to screen or match appropriately. They do not return your emails. The customer service is very unprofessional. Do not waste your money on this company. Trust me. Dating is difficult as it is but this company makes it even more difficult. And on top of that you will throw out a lot of money where you could be on Tinder or Bumble and do just as well if not a lot better!!

Obed has been wonderful to work with. He is very responsive and he is very in touch with the type of person I'm looking to meet. Obed already has my next date scheduled and I would certainly recommend him to others.

This service is a complete fraud! AVOID them at all costs! They are unprofessional and lie through their teeth so stay away from It's Just Lunch in every way, shape and fashion! They are AWFUL and a complete waste of money!!! Their Elite service was $25,000 and a complete fraud. They lined me up with two alcoholics who were nothing like they portrayed. Plus they lied about their ages to get me to not cancel the service.

I have really enjoyed IJL and my matchmaker. I have a busy professional life so it is so nice to have everything arranged for me and know that the people I am meeting are on the same page. I have really enjoyed my dates so far and I can't wait to go on more.

I have recently acquired Amy as my matchmaker and I must say, she has been great. She is very attentive and thorough with her service. I feel she does a great job trying to pair you with the best match possible. Getting on the same page with your matchmaker is important and I feel Amy makes the extra effort to partner with her clients. I would highly recommend this service and you should feel lucky if you are paired with Amy!
