After just basically signing up for this online matching/dating service, but not using their services in any meaningful way (and meeting my soulmate independently in the interim), I tried to get a refund. No such luck! They have a no refund policy, and I apparently forfeited the whole $**. I am not a litigious/difficult person at all, but this kind of unethical behaviour is so totally unacceptable that one cannot leave this unsaid, and consumers need to be aware of this.

I joined IJL around December 20th, my counselor is Obed, I had a positive experience so far. Obed has been very professional, detailed in asking me what I am looking for, been available when I needed to talk to him. Great so far working with him.

I joined IJL as a last-ditch effort to find a life partner after using just about every other online dating service available - Match, eHarmony, OKCupid, Tinder, Coffee Meets Bagel, etc. I was skeptical at first, but I worked with Debbie ** and my first date with IJL was already significantly higher quality than the overwhelming majority of dates I have been on over the past decade with the other match services. We appeared to match on all of our major and important values and shared a lot of common interests. He seemed very genuine and well-vetted by IJL. I look forward to working with IJL going forward!

Date chosen for me was ok. He was pre-occupied with work during the date, and very one-sided in his political views. The restaurant was not good, plus had to use valet parking @ $22. The matchmakers have been great, hoping the next match is a true match.

Having fun texting about her new job and my clients. We have business in common and are discussing travels to National Parks and hiking. No children in common and are similar in staying in shape. We have gone on three dates and haven’t gotten into food fight yet.

I can see why we were matched and she was very pretty in my book. The date was fun but, the cost of dinner and 3 drinks each was $201 so I told IJL that I didn't want to attend that restaurant next time. I can only give a review based on one date and I have no idea if this will turn into something lasting so we will have to see how things go past the 1 date and if IJL will make the changes for the next girl I meet.

Had one date and looking forward to more matches! Screening is awesome and matchmaker really listened to what I was looking and I am optimistic about them being able to translate my needs in that perfect someone who will be able to make my eyes sparkle at the sight of them. I know he;s out there somewhere and have confidence in the abilities of my matchmaker to be able to link us together.

I certainly would recommend It's Just Lunch; As long as they can continue to set-up dates and just "hold" their end, nothing more can be expected; Yes, it it pricey, however, their staff, at least for me, are aware that "strikeouts" are part of the game; Also, It's Just Lunch have dating coaches especially for someone who has not been in this arena for a while. Finally, It's Just Worth Trying!

I’m just starting out with this company but so far they have been very professional, courteous, helpful and supportive. Kimberli, my dating coach has really gone the extra mile for me. My first dating experience just happened and was very positive.

I had a very pleasant first date with Joyce. Aleisha, my matchmaker, did an excellent job in the steering me towards Joyce. I was a little Nestlé hesitant, but Aleisha did a really good job and convinced me to go on the date; I’m very glad I did.

I enrolled in the IJL service because I had no patience to weed through all the problems of internet-based. The entire team was incredibly professional from start to finish. I want to particularly acknowledge Natalie as the matchmaker. I think I gave her quite the challenge with my diverse set of interests. She initially struggled I think to find a match, but at the last minute came up with gold when Gina joined. Gina and I met and are very happy and excited with where this all could lead. My experience with IJL surpassed my expectations from the start. Very professional and great customer service. They were very responsive and did a really great job at finding my match. Our first date was one week ago and we have already seen each other 4 times and have decided to exclusively date. I would definitely recommend IJL to anyone and everyone!!!

When I first called the woman told me about all of these successful, established, distinguished, handsome men that they had available to me. She only told me about the $** level, so I didn’t know there were different options. I had 4 dates, the 1st one had some health problems that I wasn’t able to deal with (my husband died from a serious illness). The 2nd one canceled our 1st date because he was too tired and about fell asleep on our 2nd! My 3rd Date only talked about money and how expensive everything is. My 4th date lives with his mom, has no job and cleans a dance studio in exchange for dance lessons!

I signed with IJL at end of the May of 2018. Customer service was promising me that they have already a few men in mind while was talking to me on the phone at the first time. I paid a full price once and it’s a $ 2.5k. I am single Mom and it’s a month of Living money. Today is end of the December and I Still get nothing. One guy canceled a few hour before the meeting, another one didn’t show up at all. Third one came just to have lunch with no intention for something more serious. I was trying to reach the manager and ask about refund but they said that I still have 2.5 years (4 dates or 3 years membership). Horrible service. I live in Los Angeles and they don’t have match for me at all. I can’t get my money back but I want to let people know that it’s a scam. I am going to write to BBB as well.

I truly enjoyed the date. Lisa did an awesome job in connecting me with a "Like Minded" person. There will be a second date coming after the New Year. I look forward to continuing my search with IJL. They are a very professional entity and have the best interests of both clients in mind.

I am an IJL client for eight months and can say that my personal matchmaker Kaila and coordinator Krystyl have really tried to find a woman whom I like. Step by step they fine tuned their search until on the fourth date I was happy to see what I was looking for. I had a very stringent criteria and didn't had too much hope in their success, but against all odds they did a great job. I am very grateful for their efforts.

My experience has been great from the start. I felt like the matchmakers at IJL have been attentive and really took the time to get to know me. Aleisha and Krystyl have followed up and checked in without any prompting needed. They have also been professional and supportive. I will look forward to continuing to work with them. An investment well worth it.

It’s Just Lunch helps to take the guesswork out of online dating and makes it much simpler for a busy professional. Aleisha and Krystle have been helpful with setting up the dates and providing pertinent information for each one. Overall, this service has helped me to meet some new people and hopefully the one.

I signed up over a year ago and I am still yet to go on one single date. For over 6 months they had the wrong criteria for what I was searching for. I only found this out after chasing them for an update and when I complained. The personal one to one service is non-existent. They will not contact you or keep you updated with their progress unless you repeatedly ask them to do so. I have asked for a refund several times and they keep refusing. They will not say why, they just say that a refund will not be possible. I have had enough. I feel I have been more than patient and I am planning to report them to their regulatory body. Shameful scam!

I have had two dates so far and everything is top notch. The restaurants and people have been high quality. I like the personal attention in refining my needs and am confident they will find my next wife. I am really looking forward to my next date.

I joined in the summer and was excited about this new adventure. I received a first match within weeks and all was good. I quickly grew disappointed and frustrated with the lack of attention and caring I received from my matchmakers. On 3 occasions I was matched with gentlemen who did not meet my criteria. As a matter of fact they each had a "deal breaker" in their bio. I turned down 2 dates because of this. The 3rd one slipped by me and I wasted a date because he also contained a "deal breaker" i.e. young children. I was told that my criteria was only a preference so I asked why they call it a "deal breaker" in the interview. It would have been fine if they had been upfront with me and disclosed the information. I would have at least been given an opportunity to accept or decline.

A delightful lunch -- 2 hours long!! Really did enjoy meeting my JFL date and hearing all about her. Working on a follow-up date!! Erika did a good job for the initial date!! So far so good. We shall see how things go after the holidays!!

I went back and forth for a while before I signed up. Read reviews and then decided to take a leap of faith and sign up based on their promises of at least four good quality dates that I didn't have to manage. I signed up four months ago and this is what I have experienced: Received a match fairly quickly-two to three weeks - but then it got cancelled. Then rescheduled two more times, two to three weeks out each time then cancelled at the last minute. This date never happened. Three to four weeks later, another match which I wasn't excited about but you only get two passes before they count as a date, so I agreed. The date got cancelled at the last minute. Date didn't happen.

I’m so happy I decided to go for it and get a membership with It’s Just Lunch! My team made the membership process easy, comfortable, and fun. My dating coordinator took time to talk to me about the type of man I was looking to meet, and took what I said seriously. Thanks to her, I met the love of my life.

I'm on my 2nd renewal with It's Just Lunch, needless to say haven't found my one. When I first joined it didn't appear to be many men in my area or those that met what I was looking for. My first match in this 2nd round was a really nice man, unfortunately he had 2 young children - I'm a bit older so not looking for that type of relationship. I think IJL can be a powerful avenue to meet your match, but it's hard if you're not familiar with locations, geography, but I truly enjoy working with my matchmakers. Alesiha & Krystal understands what type of man/match I'm looking for.

I have only been a customer with IJL for a week and have had just one "date". As a result, I do not feel I have enough experience with IJL to recommend IJL to a friend. However, to date, I have found the staff of IJL that I have had the opportunity to interact with to be passionate, sincere, and willing to work to find a match for me that is the right "fit". I signed up and after telling Kimberli everything I was looking for she said she had someone in mind, however he lived 100 miles away so I tried to get out of it because that just wasn’t in my plan! I signed up for a membership in May-2018. Due to some outstanding circumstances, I almost immediately had to put my membership on hold. Knowing that my membership was going to expire before I could utilize it, Debbie went above and beyond and extended my hold time with no additional charge until I was ready to reactivate it. I appreciate what she did. Customer service at its finest.

You have to be patient, depending on your area and pool of availability for possible matches, (so it COULD take longer than the six month contract) but It's Just Lunch services rock! These folks know what they're doing, and they genuinely care. Have a little faith in their method, and trust that they're doing what they can for you. This is a personal service, like hiring a trainer in the gym, and like the gym, it takes time to show results. Good luck with your search for love!

I have had a very good experience with It's Just Lunch. The people were very helpful and friendly and I met a very nice man who I am currently dating. I have recommended them to friends. I have been away from dating for many years and they were very supportive.

I signed up with It's Just Lunch in March 2018. After months with the service I received one lunch date. I drove 40 mins to meet the guy who immediately told me he had decided he liked his single life and was not interested in complicating it. I never received another match. I am an older individual and had been widowed 15 months when I signed up. I was told by customer service that they would refund a portion of my fees. However, they never completely refunded what they committed to refund and now will not return any of my calls. I recommend caution when signing up for this service. They obviously have no pool of candidates over age 60.

I was very happy with my introduction - Leslie. Having been with IJL for many years, it was worth the wait. I hope to continue dating. We seem to have much in common, close in age and background. I'm divorced and she widowed after a long term marriage.

I can personally recommend It’s Just Lunch based on my own experience with the group. The service was professional and discreet; Latasha was able to match me with an ideal partner on her first attempt, and now I am developing a great relationship with said match. I never would have met somebody of this caliber with other dating platforms, as she is a class above and a rate catch!!

Dating online is a rough process and it works for some but is very challenging. IJL is a very professional dating site that does the best they can do to find you the right person. It is process and you have to be patient with it but I do believe they are very successful. The employees are very nice and understanding and really try to do what is best for you.

I have only had one date but Pilar and Dominique knocked it out of the park. They are very focused, attentive and caring (and tolerant of my idiocies. LOL). They call me, bug me (in a very good way) and I feel they have my interests and desires at the top of their lists. A VERY happy customer!

I want to thank Pilar, Kimberli, and Kaila for their enthusiasm in working to set me up with some interesting dates. One suggestion I have for IJL is letting clients review their personal IJL summary page for accuracy BEFORE it is sent out to other prospective dates.

Krystyl and Aleisha have been very easy to work with and responsive to my questions and concerns throughout the process. The review process is very thorough. And I have been pleased with my matches so far and would recommend IJL to my friends.

I have been on two dates and the entire process is pretty smooth. Very professional. Makes me feel better after bad date. I hope they ultimately find me the right match. I find it better because it’s not completely blind dates and I still feel that anticipation because I’m meeting a new person.

The service provided by It's Just Lunch! over the course of 12 months was incredibly disappointing! I was presented 10 profiles (in 12 months), none of which were within the parameters identified or requested. Dates were scheduled with 4, only 3 occurred. None of those 3 moved on to a second date because they were not matches I was interested in. From what I can tell they may not have enough people in the system!

I have been a client of this organization for just under two months. Let's ignore the slow horrible actual delivery. After they failed to deliver as promised on one referral, I sent an email to ask for correction. That was met by a "curt" email that was followed by continued no delivery. Then their agent (BR------) took offense to my frustrations. I contacted corporate and was given the runaround. I asked twice for a supervisor to contact me. Still no response, no call. These people only have service to sell. They appear to me to be interested in doing as little as they have to and to then ignore a customer who reaches out to a supervisor to fix the problems. This is a waste of money and a poor service. I recommend that anyone considering this organization avoid them like the plague.

So far I have found that I had a better match on the second date with Shari than on my first date with Lamis. It is probably a difficult process to match people. If Shari and I lived 25-30 miles from each other, that would have been better. Unfortunately, it did not work out that way.

I recently started a contract with It’s Just Lunch. The first date was a bust, as I was stood up, but as disappointed as I was, the situation was made better by my matchmaker Erica who was very supportive. The next date went very well, there was great chemistry and we actually decided to see each other again. Erica has been wonderful. I don’t know if things will work out with myself and date #2 but I feel better knowing that Erica has my back.

Udonna and Tameka are so great to work with. I just had my first date last night, and they nailed it right off the bat! While I'm not sure what the future holds for my date and I, I do know that I am in good hands with Udonna and Tameka. They really listened to me about what I am looking for, because last night's date was all that and more. I was very skeptical at first, but now I'm just so excited to see what the future holds.

In the beginning of my experience, I had a coach who felt like a friend. She talked with me, took time to know me, called to discuss dates before sending email and called to follow-up. Now, I am provided impersonal emails with the same follow-up. This coach and I have never had a conversation about me or what I am looking for. She says it is based on previous notes. My matches would indicate that perhaps the notes are inaccurate or have not been read. It feels more like connections are made based on location and availability, rather than common interests and life goals.

Absolutely awful experience. Horrible customer service and gross misrepresentation of what you sign up for. You would be better off on Tinder or Bumble and save a lot of money at that. They will take your money and not on or what they have promised you. Again, you’d be better off with any other dating site like Match, Tinder or Bumble.

Marie and Tameka did a good job with my first date. Both have made themselves available for questions and or concerns. I'm happy with the service so far. They listened to my requests and they matched me with a man that I find compatible.

Shana was quickly able to find a candidate that met all my criteria. I enjoy working with her and am looking forward to meeting more candidates she selects. She is responsive and engaged. However, the past match makers all receive zero stars from me and I hope to never work with any in the future.

I just recently joined It's Just Lunch, but so far I have been impressed. I have been on one day in a month. I think Maria did a good job with the selection. Tamika and Maria have been awesome to work with. I am hopeful that I will find the perfect match soon.

I joined IJL about 2 months ago and find the experiences stress free... all the details of the dates are handled by Dominique and Kaila, and I just show up! I love that I don’t have to pick the location and the restaurants always know exactly what to do when I get there so I don’t have to try to figure out how to identify myself to the other person. Just want to thank you both for making my first It’s Just Lunch date everything you promised it would be. Your instructions were perfect! The restaurant had a large parking lot as it is part of a hotel... that made being on time easy. I was greeted by the hostess and told her who I was and they immediately brought me to the table where they had just seated my date. The table was a corner table with couch like seating and pillows. The restaurant was busy but the table was perfect for conversation and being away from the crowd.

It was a 1000 on a scale of 1 to 10. She was beautiful and sexy and kind hearted. Date lasted 24 hours - we had lunch, dinner, looks at waterfront property we may buy together, dinner, sleepover in spare room and breakfast.

First let me say "thank you" to my dating coach, Latasha and my dating coordinator, Darryl. I know I probably drive Latasha "nuts" at times because I ask a LOT of questions and I'm always eagerly anticipating my next date. Latasha is patient and works hard to find matches that meet my criteria. Darryl promptly notifies me about my upcoming date and best of all he sets up my dates up in great restaurants. Through IJL, I'm learning different parts of the city and new "hot spots" in Los Angeles. Thank you IJL!

Udonna & Tameka, I have recently started working with Udonna and Tameka, and have gone on one date here in Atlanta, which overall was a success, in terms of expectations and addressed concerns that I have experienced in the dating world (push back) due to having children. Just now I feel a responsibility to share my experience because the service was very expensive and the process emotionally taxing. I am an attractive and successful forty year old woman with an open heart. I had the highest hopes of being matched with someone similar to myself. I use the word match very lightly as It's Just Lunch! does not "match", it is a lottery. At times I felt I actually worked for them. I was sent out on continuous dates with men who were disgruntled clients, I think I was sent out with them to appease them. As If IJL was showing them, look shes attractive and interesting, we are doing our job. I felt like a lamb to the slaughter... One beer bellied middle aged man at a time.

Your contract and service overall is terrible. As a professional sales person I was grilled for my interview as a female May 2016, mismatched for a very dangerous date 4 months after contract signing of 4 dates within the year. His contract was free, he claimed, mine for one horrific date in 2016 was $**. 2018 second date presented again, no prescreen with him and reservation said was made at a commissary food bar. Finally Nov. of 2018 your service introduced me to a quality individual, your contract reads one year and yet now I am having to respond to surveys or some sort or gratification for your failure to fulfill contract I could not cancel. It would appear your one year contractual agreement is a moving target as you truly lack the marketing and selection of quality candidates.

My team currently is very kind and responsive to my phone calls and other communications. They have asked me about my date and seem genuinely interested in me having a good time and meeting people that are compatible with my personality. I do really like them!

Kimberli and Tameka were exceptionally helpful and responsive. With their help I believe I have met someone I can have a meaningful relationship with. They made the process seamless and painless. I believe that if this relationship does not work they will find me a suitable companion down the road. I would recommend IJL, Kimberli and Tameeka to my friends!

Obed matched me with a guy who seemed authentic, kind, and interested in a long term commitment. It wasn’t a match, but it was certainly better than what I’ve experienced with other dating services. I would highly recommend this experience to others.

This is my first time doing its just lunch. It is different from online dating because you meet your date in person to see if you have chemistry with each other. I also like the way the matchmaker does everything and you can get to know your date in person.

The selection process took a bit of time but the match came very close to what I had asked for. The first date went well. We enjoyed a nice lunch and had a lot in common. It was well organized and planned out.

So far my experience with IJL has been great. My initial call I spoke with Kate and she was excellent at her job. Almost wanted to hire her for sales with my company. Jas has been my matchmaker and has been in constant communication with me. Jessica did my in-person interview/FaceTime. Was a overall good positive experience. Only way this can be better is if they find me a girlfriend. 9/10 will bump to 10/10

During my time with It's Just Lunch!, I would say I was very disappointed with my experience. For the amount of money that I paid, my matches were poor at best. And after my membership was over, I received more calls to renew that almost the entire time I was a member. One date every other month was very disappointing. I felt I was listened to until my final date, and unfortunately that date didn't work out. For the amount of money I paid I expected this service to be significantly better than online dating...I felt it was worse.

Kim does a beautiful job explaining who she will be sending me out with. She has a way of understanding me through our conversations so that she can find that right match. Kim has a very positive attitude that leads to her ability to not only coach me but to explain how we should approach our next date. What to say and what maybe to avoid. And she understands the word patience. And that is key to this process.

Service has been a good experience so far. They listen well and make it a great experience. Like the process of the way they try to find me a great partner. Having the feedback process of dating has been a great for me.

New to IJL and so far so good. Aleisha and the team have been patient explaining the process but work fast to lock in my first and second dates! My experience has been very positive. Looking forward to the journey.

My experience with IJL has been up and down. The salesman was great. First two matchmakers bad but now have found Aleisha and Krystal and they have been very helpful. So despite poor customer service in the beginning I am now excited to hear from IJL again and am optimistic Aleisha and team will work with me to help in whatever way they can.

I thought the It's Just Lunch team did a very good job of orchestrating the dates and selecting appropriate locations for them. The consideration that the team afforded me in assessing my needs is appreciated. In addition, the concern and response to the feedback was handled well by the team.

Feels that care and attention are paid to the matches suggested. Feedback from each date seems to be taken seriously so that the next match will be a better fit. So far the matches are of a good quality regarding intelligence and friendly personality.

I have found It’s Just Lunch to be excellent. Udonna and Tameka do a very good job and are very efficient. Their co-operation is awesome. I find they are very good at finding dates for me and are always consistent in their follow up.

I have been working with Pilar and Dominique and they have been great. They make you feel at ease, listen to you and they are very responsive. They take the pressure of the dating process and take care of the details so it can be a fun experience for you. I look forward to continuing to work with them!

They lure you to sign-up with absolutely no intention to deliver on the promise. The 'initial' interview is BS because they do NOT listen to what you want. They absolutely do not have the male inventory for the women who register for their services. I believe that the high reviews for IJL are FAKE and I believe that they write it themselves or paid for it. BTW, this company lost a Class Action case in Canada! I have scores of horror stories and IJL should not be in business in the US.

I just had an 30 minutes dating coach session with Sheri and it was very helpful. We went through some dating yes and no's and some tips and topics that suit the first dates etc... And I do like the follow up materials that I got after the meeting, especially the one that tells you what man and woman are looking for at the first date. I wish I could have this done earlier. I will have a date soon and I hope to use the tips that I got from the session to get a successful experience!

I finally had a date with the first person I would consider a legitimate match based upon my profile since joining the company. I think Lisa did a great job of identifying Donny and making it happen. I, however, am extremely disappointed to learn that Lisa cannot connect Donny and I. When we left the date, we didn’t exchange contact information because I thought we were suppose to report back on the date to determine if there was a mutual “match.” Based upon my discussion with Lisa, I understand that Donny enjoyed our date as well but apparently she cannot reconnect us, which seems absurd (in my opinion). I thought the service was supposed to facilitate the process not hinder it.

My matchmaker Shana did a nice job listening to what I preferred and was able to set me up with a smart, attractive, like minded person. The person was exactly what was described in profile. I now feel a sense of trust with Shana.

DO NOT SIGN UP with It's Just Lunch! They are not at all interested in their clients, only interested in the money. No refund even though I have not gone on any dates and have not had an 'interview'. The person I spoke with (my matchmaker) was rude and had no listening skills whatsoever. My matchmaker is not at all concerned about my thoughts on the dates presented, just about keeping my money. If I could give this company negative stars I would. Do not make the same mistake I made. Stay far away from IJL.

Very pleasant ladies, they pay attention to my requirements and very helpful and professional and on time with arranging my matches and work on coordinating the location to be suitable for both of us. I would recommend them highly. They explain the matches well to me.

(In no particular order:) First, they make themselves available: they work hard to accommodate your schedule, making time to talk when it is convenient for you. Second, they listen very well. I was impressed from the start with the thoroughness of the data gathering. Almost immediately Kimberli found a match, but that one didn't work for me. However, since then she has provided three more matches: one I've already seen and plan to see again, a second I will see next week, and the third probably the week following. I am very disappointed in my experience with IJL. They spent years trying to get me to sign up for the service. When I moved to a new area I decided to try it. My first match took a month for us to finally meet because it was rescheduled according to IJL. When we did meet he was unaware we had a previous date. It has been a month since that date and when I ask about my next match, I am told: "they will be in touch when they have my next match."

Vanessa has been very good at finding matches that not only fit the profile I am looking for but when I have met them I have had an initial connection that I`ve pursued further. She does the best that she can but being on opposite coasts with the time difference does slow the communication between setting up dates though this is not something she can really control and as stated before does the best that she can.

Although my IJL experience got off slowly, once I had my face-to-face meeting things progressed well. Both Tameka and Kimberli have been very attentive to my dating parameters, for the most part, and have provided valuable insight into the dating/matching experience.

I was wooed by the magical promises of personal matchmaking. The sales pitch is great & bubbly! Even was explained if they can’t find me a match they would recruit someone. A month in and three matches down I’m now being strong armed to go on a date that I don’t want to. You spend an hour or more on the phone going in detail on your preferences, being promised they have PLENTY of guys like that and then get matches that are the opposite. When you explain what you like or don’t like about the person I was accused of being shallow and not opened minded. For a service that is very expensive I don’t appreciate the tone or rudeness that has been experienced since the initial set up.

Lovely experience to meet other people. The pressure is off to exchange phone numbers and just have a conversation to get to know a person and their interests. The staff at IJL go out of their way to listen to your feedback.

Overall, I feel somewhat disappointed 5 months after having signed onto It's Just Lunch (IJL). That being said, I feel that the people I'm working with, including UDonna and Tameka, are doing an adequate job within the constraints of IJL. First, the person with whom I shared the most about myself, including preferences in a woman and past dating/marriage experiences, was someone named Jenny **, with whom I had no later contact.

The dinner reservation was at a very nice place, the food was excellent and it was a low-pressure experience with someone I have never met before but enjoyed meeting and engaging in stimulating conversation with for over two hours! I took off one star because this is my first time using IJL and I rarely give perfect scores right off the bat...

I spent a nice sum for a dating service and it had been 2 months and only one date. After reviewing my dates profile and what I got was quite different. His profile said he liked golf, travel, eating healthy. Also said he was six ft tall. He did not like exercising outside. No golf and hasn’t traveled since early twenties. Also - said Jhelum could watch football all day, everyday if on television. This is something I don’t want, as I am an outside woman. His profile aside he liked remodeling... if writing a check counts, it is misleading. Disappointed! It has been two months and only one date, not sure when they will send me an e-mail for the next. Waiting and wondering if I wasted money?

Still waiting... I think the only way to be 100% would be to end up in a relationship and that hasn’t happened yet. But I am holding out hope and I hope the next date is it. It’s hard these days especially in my line of work to need new people and it’s a numbers game. The more dates the better your chances are. So here’s to the next one.

I joined IJL like most people — I thin k— because of the frustration with regular dating apps. The process is much different and so far it’s been smooth sailing. I was in contact with one woman who spent extensive time getting to know me over the phone before they decided to take me on as a client. Then I was put in contact with my personal matchmaker. There was more conversation and then a Skype interview. I really liked this part because it made the process real. Dealing with live people is better than just phone conversations which can stay abstract.

I am a new member to It's Just Lunch and I was recommended to the company by my sister and by someone who met her husband through It's Just Lunch. So far my experience has been very positive. The personalized service appeals to me and being able to provide feedback throughout the process provides a partnership. I'm looking forward to the journey!

I have never gone out of my way to write a review but I am hoping this saves at least one poor soul from the deception of It's Just Lunch. This whole business is a scam to make money. They have mastered it down to an art. MAKE SURE YOU READ THE CONTRACT. They will find ways to cover themselves and fulfill it while setting you up on bogus dates with people (who aren't even paying members) just to get their contract fulfilled. They will claim that the person is a great match but in no way falls under criteria you gave them. They told me they had tons of matches and that my city was the greatest market!

Erica is so great at taking the time to learn what is important to me. The conversation is never rushed. She gives me confidence that she truly has my best interests!! She just wants me to have a good time! Just love her!!

Erica is very good. She is good at following up with the client. She has the natural ability to understand and feel what customer is requesting. She gets back to customer in timely manner and making close follow up with customer. She listens to customer and keeps good records of the information customer gives to her.

Do NOT believe the ads or what they tell you on the phone! IJL has a script that their charming on-boarders follow. At some point they will enthusiastically promise you that they have two matches in mind for you that are just perfect for you (Google: Reuters It's Just Lunch class action lawsuit). I feared IJL might be a scam. But their promises sounded amazing. So after lots of phone calls and soul-searching, I paid the $** and signed up.

Signed up for IJL in February, under the false promise that I would receive 4 dates within a 6 month period or be eligible for a refund. 6 months went by, and I had no dates whatsoever. I did get stood up at the restaurant twice. After speaking with the representative on the phone, they don't issue refunds, despite what their contract says. They can keep throwing matches at you in perpetuity in an attempt to 'honor' the contract. You would be better off spending your money on a nice vacation.

I am new to IJL. So far my experience has been positive. Aleisha and Krystyl have been successful in finding matches and coordinating meetings. They each have provided energetic attention to me. My first date was a success and I am meeting that date again.

I want to thank Lisa for her kindness in this process. I was very disappointed with the dating director I originally had. Lisa turned this around for me. I truly believe she loves helping others to find a match. I understand there are many variables in connecting people, but Lisa listened to what I was looking for. She set me up with a great man that I had an awesome date with. During my date we both expressed how appreciation for Lisa as she is attentive to the details, while expressing happiness in what she does for others.

This review is for an older experience. When they cold called me and gave me a hard sell on the phone, they lied about the experience and their requirements/services/clients. I could not get along with my matchmaker or get her to understand what my preferences even were. It was incredibly frustrating trying to communicate with someone so stubborn, and I can't understand how people have given them positive reviews. My consultant eventually placed my account on a hold and never contacted me again.

Monique seems to be a very thorough matchmaker who takes her job seriously and listens very well. I was happy that besides just e-mail she also called to personally discuss how a particular date went and to get specifics of where there was a fit and where there might not have been a fit.

Aleisha has been very polite and patient - don’t feel pressured. The dates have been very nice, high quality accomplished men. I haven’t found a match yet; however, the experience has been excellent consistently which I appreciate. All gentlemen, all interesting and pleasant to be around.

Either way, my experience with It's Just Lunch has been fine... Looking forward to new matches! I feel that if one wants to meet quality matches who are serious, matchmaking services are for you. Way different than regular dating sites and I prefer it. It is pretty expensive though.

I have been very impressed and pleased with how personable, welcoming, and supportive the IJL specialists have been. Shilah was a wonderful first contact with IJL. She called the day after I expressed interested in IJL, patiently explained how it works and helped me start to build my profile. Darryl has been great! He arranged meetings for me to finalize my profile and calling me within an hour when I had questions. Now I'm waiting on the exciting part - meeting my first potential match. I will say, the wait time between completing my profile and organizing a first date has been longer than I expected, but I think it's just a change from the rapid dating culture. I'm looking forward to meeting a date that has been so carefully selected for me.

They don't have the opportunity to view my profile and say yes or no plus they apparently dont have any monetary investment to take it that seriously as well. I joined IJL because I am a busy person and felt that spending some good money on finding a qualified perfect match who was screened beforehand was worth it, yet I have second thoughts. Also I felt if the guy spent that kind of money...not like the other crazy dating sites...he would be very interested in finding the love of his life. Hopefully it will be the end result of my time spent with IJL.

I registered with IJL in February after being snowballed by one of the BEST soft-sellers on the planet - Catherine. Here are the highlights of my six months with IJL: - Misleading sales pitch. Catherine provided the names of three candidates during my initial phone contact. None of the three were ever presented as possible matches. - Failure to disclose that "recruited" NON-PAYING clients are used during initial phone contact with Catherine. Knowing that people who did not pay to receive this service would have immediately changed my mind about using the service.

I am new to It's Just lunch, so I have not had the opportunity to thoroughly experience all of the services IJL offers. Having said that my initial conversations with Jessica, Jas and Marlo have been very positive. The team is very upbeat and excited about the prospect of finding the right match for me, which by extension has made the experience, so far a great one!

I just went on my first IJL date. My match and I had so much in common that we talked for almost 4 hours on that first date. Kimberli and Tameka have been amazing. Kimberli is upbeat and keeps me on track when I start to mentally jump too far ahead. My overall impression of IJL so far is that it is a very professional organization, and that the personnel really do care about getting to know the members to make matches that may work. I have really enjoyed the experience so far and look forward to Kimberli's next call or e-mail. She's supposed to be my dating coach, but I've started to think of her as my dating friend.

Immediately after I signed (and paid!), my "matchmaker" missed our introductory meeting. No call, no apology. My request for a more detailed matchmaker went unanswered. Then, the same one called me back like I was a new client. She since sent me (2) profiles - one of whom wasn't even divorced yet! And now, she hasn't responded to my emails in over 2-weeks! This is the absolute worst decision I've ever made. ** for this? You should be ashamed of yourselves! I am making it my mission to let others know this "service" is a waste of time and money.

In my last review I concentrated on how Udonna and Tameka focused on my match and how they got a perfect score on that one. I forgot to say how I appreciated the perfect coordination of details in the date. We had to go back and forth a bit because of logistical considerations and restaurant complications. This was all handled in advance and all details were lined up for me and everything went as planned so that all I had to do was plug the address into Waze and walk in. THANK YOU!

IJL has taken my money and not provided any service. They rush you into signing a contract and then fail to do anything. My bank knew exactly why I was calling when doing a chargeback. That's why IJL moved to Florida, locks in their contracts so they are free to take your money. Stay away at all costs. Consistent lies.

This is technically my third time working with IJL and has been the best experience so far. My first time I was in eastern Iowa which was a new market for IJL. All but one match that IJL picked was bad. Almost like my IJL contact didn't read my feedback. The one decent match lived 90 miles away. The second time IJL contacted me with women that I was a match for. One of the four was great, but she ended up being too busy to go any further than a third date. Two of the other three matches were pretty bad.

I have only had 2 dates set up since I joined. Before I signed up I wish I knew how IJL took many weeks to months to set up. I had the impression of having a date 2-4 times a month. Not 1 every other month. I also wish that more information was given about the date. Everyone at the company are nice and helpful.
