Today I conducted my face-to-face interview with Heather. I felt Heather was very professional, and very friendly. I just started with IJL, but am so far very pleased with the personalized service. I truly look forward to working with my dating specialists in the coming months!

This site asked me to be fair and balanced so I will do my best to comply. As told to me by women I have met and dated long-term, I am an attractive, active and fit man in my early 60s. I am also a successful alpha that is looking for a LTR and yes, I am selective as to who I date. I am not looking for eye-candy or someone that just looks good on my arm. My last relationship lasted more than three years. First, the entire front-end discussion and subsequent interview went very well. The rep was very enjoyable to work with. If you do happen to join, you may as well kiss your rep/sales agent goodbye along with your money because you won't see/hear from either one again. From that point on your interaction with IJL is solely with a Dating Director and in my case, Dave, who lives over 1000 miles away and has no idea of the size and proximity of towns/cities in the Detroit Metro area. None.

Heather was AWESOME! I had several problems; i.e. the timezone, Skype, etc, and she was able to accommodate me on all fronts! Great job, Heather!

Aleisha has been very good about communicating with me and keeping me informed. Aleisha has worked hard to find matches for me... Overall the most responsive person I have dealt with at IJL. Finding matches has been a difficult task given the lack of membership in this market.

I had pretty much decided to try It's Just Lunch so I called Stacey, who had left marketing messages on my phone several times. She did her sales pitch and I told her I thought I'd like to try to service. She took my credit card information and said I'd be hearing from them and would be receiving an email agreement. After I got off the phone, I checked out reviews for It's Just Lunch and it began to look like they didn't do much more than any other, less expensive, dating services. Having second thoughts, I emailed Stacey and told her I'd changed my mind. The email agreement arrived in my email and I didn't open it or e-sign it. I had a call from Stacey and told her, again, I'd changed my mind. She countered with a heavy sales pitch...that I'd do great and would find a quality match. Again, I told her I wasn't interested.

I am very excited about meeting the first man through IJL on Monday. Sheri has been very professional and on target with what I am looking for in a long-term relationship. I am hopeful that I will find Mr. Right among the 4 men I am signed up to meet.

Signed up with service in July 2014. During the intake I was very clear on my requirements and probed on whether the service had men who fit the profile I was seeking. As a 50+ professional, my basic requirements were around healthy and gainfully employed. Was very disappointed that It's Just Lunch had challenges meeting these basic requirements, and it's 15 months later and the contract hasn't been fulfilled.

When I first started I was unhappy and dissatisfied with the service I received. It seem like I was more proactive and putting in more work than my dating coordinator. After expressing my concerns I was switched to Bianka and Aleisha. As of last month it does seem they are putting forth an effort and make this experience worth the money I invested. I am hoping that it will be consistent. Both of them are friendly and lately have put an effort to communicate with me. This is important and I think they are more communicative than when I initially started.

I have been working with Michelle for the past few weeks and the experience has been nothing short of outstanding! She is incredibly astute and attentive and has consistently exceeded my expectations from the beginning.

I give this company 1 star for the ability to get me to pay over $** for a terrible experience. The matches were a mystery to me. I am not quite sure how they picked my dates and they won't reveal that to you either if you inquire except that they have a process. Truly, I question the integrity of the company and if you have a complaint they send you to someone within the same office. You can count on getting a letter or a phone call as though nothing ever happened. The whole experience has been disappointing and strange. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. I must say I used the corporate IJL and that could be part of the problem. I would consider this experience a scam. When you begin to question the process, they are quick to tell you their contractual obligation and yours as well.

Please do the research before signing up with this dating service. I signed up in August, 2014 and have been extremely disappointed with the quality of two of three dates this service provided to me. I did have one decent match, but asked the consultant to keep looking on my behalf. During the sales pitch, they promise what a great age group (50+) is to date but the reality is they do not have sufficient matches in their data base, especially for **. I have had 4 dating consultants and only one acceptable date over the course of a year. My contracts states I am eligible for 4 matches, from August, 2014 to November, 2015 and there has been 3 matches. I find this terribly unacceptable. This service may work for individuals who are in their 30's and 40's in large metropolitan cities, but not anything older, especially in my geographic area (south).

My date coaching session with Sheri was great. She immediately made me feel comfortable and relaxed and her easy way made the session enjoyable and informative. I felt listened to and that went a long ways for me. We went over my profile and she was completely willing to adjust it to read accurately about me and my goals. I'm starting to get some of the fruit of the work but would like more consistency. Hopefully this service is sustainable. Initially I thought the whole organization was a sham. I actually was going to go to a lawyer about it. No one returned my calls. Of course initially when they were trying to get your money and trying to get you to join it was different. Then no one returned calls and for $2800 nothing was happening. I was furious. It is better now but now great. There are few men that I have been introduced to, probably because there are few in my age range. I think when I asked when deciding to join if there were men they should have been more upfront. I think Princess is trying.

Easy, relaxed interview. Very satisfied with the interviewer. Felt I could add whatever criteria I wanted for my ideal match. I even got to add a new piece of technology to my experience - the webcam interview.

Although I've only been working with Mike & Onika for a short time at It's Just Lunch, I've found the experience fun and enjoyable! I found the treatment at It's Just Lunch to be fair and somewhat honest. They try to find you a perfect match to you. I found that they are decent in accomplishing this. I found that most of the matches were too far from home and that makes it difficult to date. The women I talked to about this agreed with me on the matter. Also, they took a long time to find a match for myself. Went over two months with no date, was disappointed in that. It is also a very high membership fee for the services you receive. I would not recommend to any people I know.

I had a very difficult experience with IJL. I very clearly stated I did not want to date people over 40, with children, and that live within 30 minutes of my home. The sales rep stated that they had a number of men that lived in my area, met my criteria, and were tall, attractive, intelligent and that she had one that she would be really excited to set me up with if I signed up. I did decide to sign up, but was set up with a different man for my first date and when I asked my dating coordinator why she said it was because the other guy had a kid.

I thought the interview was intended at making sure I was a legitimate customer. I had to show my driver's license. I was asked about some of my first date strategies and was given a couple of suggestions.

Do not make the mistake of signing up with this company - they literally screw you out of $**! They issue no refunds and they also have very few men who are good looking. And the few good looking ones go on many many dates as they are so limited. I have been with them for 4 months now and I have only been on 3 dates... What a crock of crap. I wish I never wasted my time or money. Ridiculous scam! The ladies are very very nice so do not be fooled...

I signed up with the IJL site in early July, 2015. I was matched with one man, who failed to show for the date (he e-mailed the service after hours on Friday, rather than calling the scheduler as required). I drove 1 hr 30 min to get there (I am certain he would have only driven a short drive). I was told to dress up, and when I got to the restaurant, felt ever so out of place. I waited 45 minutes, called the company and on Monday was told what had happened. I was sent a $** gift card to compensate for the gas money, but still felt devastated.

Working with Aleisha/IJL has been great. She has set up dates for me that have been both enjoyable and fun. She has taken the workload of finding matches off my shoulders and placed them on her own. She is friendly, competent and capable.

So far my experience two thumbs up. Pleasantly surprised and satisfied. My counselor Obed two thumbs up - doing a great job. I would definitely recommend this service to any of my friends or relatives. Life-changing.

I had an extremely bad experience with IJL. The dates were scheduled 4 weeks apart since they did not have an adequate inventory of men. One date was worse than the next. I placed many phone calls to the IJL associates which were unanswered. It was an expensive scam. Don't waste your money. If there were a NO star rating I would have chosen that.

I have had a very pleasant, professional experience with IJL. Can say only the best things about my representative Debbie and my personal contact Ben -- both have made every effort to make me feel comfortable with the experience and to know me well enough to pair me with the best potential dates.

Aleisha was warm and friendly and I am hopeful that she will match me with great guys.

Sheri was great. She was very thorough, professional, supportive and had a sunny disposition. She left me feeling optimistic about continuing with the IJL experience.

Coaching - She did an awesome job and was positive.

Updated on 2/17/2021: I have been working with Ashley regarding my matches, she is always available and very patient with me and my ever changing schedule. She listened to me about my concerns and desires in finding a person with similar interests and background. I believe I’ll be able to find a long term relationship due to her help and vested interest.

Sheri was on point with her questions and guided me on a question I had for her and it shed some light on what to do on a first date. She listened without interrupting me and made me feel comfortable about sharing about an experience I had a few days ago. She encouraged me to email her if I had any more questions. The tips she sent me were very helpful and I had a lot to learn and "Aha" moments while reading. She is great at what she does in date coaching.

I was hesitant at first when a friend recommended Its Just Lunch. He had met some amazing women, he said, attractive and great careers and is getting married to one of them this Fall. But that's a guy and I was concerned they might have too many women and not enough men because I had tried a different service before and spent $$$ on it only to get emailed a few men's phone numbers, and they were sometimes not even employed!

Great people to work with especially Kim. First date was a dream!

I really enjoyed my session with Sheri yesterday. She was so easy to talk to and gave me some very valuable dating advice. I feel much more confident and ready for my next dating experience!!

Don't do it! They will find a way to screw you. They just make up rules as they go along. It doesn't matter what you want. It's what they think you should get. Nothing in writing with these guys so they can make whatever promises they want without delivering. "We have new, sensational women." After you pay, then reality sets in.

Everyone is nice and is trying their best to make great matches.

My telephone coaching began on time (PST) and I was pleased that my coach was quite professional. I asked questions that she was able to answer in a direct manner. She even gave me more information than I thought to ask. Overall, the coaching was satisfactory and I do believe that we covered all the bases. I really feel that I am ready to meet my director for a face to face interview in two days. I am pleasantly excited to continue on this IJL experience and see what actually develops.

I had been searching for a long term relationship through online dating websites. That was a huge disaster. Since I am over 50, it seems like I was a target for con artists. I was discouraged and beaten down emotionally. I finally searched for a match making service and found IJL. I felt much more secure and comfortable knowing that there was a much better chance of finding someone through IJL. The people at IJL were very professional and friendly as well as helpful. When I first joined IJL it was a little rocky. I was told I would be having one on one meetings and phone coaching that I didn't receive until later in the process. Also, I went through 2 different dating directors. Aleisha (the third director), made everything fall in place. My dates have been ok. My overall experience is ok. Not worth the money.

I paid a large sum of money and my dating coach doesn't coach, not even a word of encouragement. They never told me upfront that I would have to pay half the check on a date! I have never had to do that in my life! I have had two dates, nothing like what I wanted except they were male. Never heard from the service again. When I inquired, I was told I will get my 7 minimum dates! Haven't heard from them again! I believe I have dated the only two men in my area who are members! I want my money back! I'd like the interest I've been paying my credit card back too!

I'm very pleased so far with my progress. The service had started off quite well. I am finding it to be smooth and easy and that's exactly what I hoped for. I think this will work out just fine. Thanks for being easy to work with George. Keep working.

I am more than disappointed with It's Just Lunch. I joined Jan. 12, paid $**, had a total of 4 dates, none meeting my criteria as stated in the initial interview and subsequent emails, phone calls, and texts... I went to your office in San Francisco so I could personally meet with the team. I still did not get any results.

Sheri was contagious with joy. Her coaching was uplifting, empowering, and understanding. She was patient, kind, and did not make me wrong. Rather, she treated me as Mr. Right. :) I find myself to be more confident and less afraid on going on my next date knowing I can count on her coaching.

Sheri is very helpful as a dating coach and points out small things that I would have not otherwise thought about. Also, Michelle has been a good dating director. There hasn't been that magic mutual match just yet, but with the mutual feedback we've had I really feel like it's coming soon!
