This is the second time I have used IJL and they have become, since I first used them in 2006, a truly professional organization with exceptional customer service. Being able to see the match before committing is helpful for the first date. Shari and Brandis are terrific to talk with and I was able to honestly share the pluses and minuses after my first date. I felt they understood what I was looking for and that my next match would be a closer fit. Chemistry is hard to describe but you know it when it’s there.

I met the love of my life on It's Just Lunch we were married September 1st 2016. I would highly recommend It's Just Lunch to anybody. Obed was fantastic!! If you're looking for your love you need to join It's Just Lunch.

It was a great experience with Sheri. She answered all the my questions. I didn't feel rushed when asking questions. She helped me on what I needed to be prepare on the first date. She also told me to email her if I had anymore questions. I have emailed her and, she has emailed me back with feedback. What a great experience.

My session with Sheri was good. I shared with her that I had second thoughts with my date and she assured me it was to early to feel that way and I should give it time. She also encouraged me to identify what makes me stand out on a date.

Extremely high pressure sales tactics (they called me many times, and for months), and considering that they don't have a branch in my city, this was morally corrupt. They dangled a so-called perfect man in front of me as bait, I took the bait, and then when I finally went on that date several weeks later, he was a total dud - had no interest in me nor in dating someone like me. The idea that he was perfect for me is fraudulent. The contract allowed for a three day cooling off period from date of purchase for "buyers remorse" but then they didn't respond to phone calls or emails that were sent by me attempting to cancel within that three day period. When I finally did reach someone on day 4, they said I was no longer eligible for a refund since I hadn't requested it in time (despite their negligence in returning my calls/emails).

I have had mixed feelings about IJL. I have had a few dates that were good. I even met someone through the service and we actually dated for 3 months. I want to inform ladies out there about my last experience with IJL and how it opened my eyes to things that I assumed this organization was doing to keep their clients safe. After this date I realized I made assumptions that were not true.

Hi, I meet with my date coach last week and just wanted to share some nice comments. I met with Sheri on Facetime and exchanged some information about myself and my personality traits. GREAT conversation with some really good exchanges of reality.

Updated on 01/06/2019: I signed in February 2018. First date no show. Second date same guy never asked me one question about myself and did not seem interested in dating at all. Then I heard nothing for months. Tried to get my money back to no avail. Met with a lawyer and she said their contract is misleading but it would cost me more to pursue so I decided to give them another chance. Again did not hear anything for months. This last date I drove an hour and a half in the pouring rain at night only to be confronted with no reservation and no date. After about 30 minutes the manager came up and said yes the date had called and could not make. It's humiliating for this to happen to you. I'm giving up. It's not worth the upset it's causing me. Don't waste your money.

I almost wish I had waited to have my dating coaching session as I don’t necessarily have questions about first dates right now. However, she was very nice and did provide affirmation for some of my own ideas that I have had.

Don't waste your time and money on the service. You can get the same quality of people and support off of any of the other dating sites. From the very beginning this has been nothing but an aggravation and disappointment. I was initially charged incorrectly, and then I was passed on to multiple people. You do not deal with the same person throughout the process. I had to set up an interview that took several weeks, all of which came off my time for my membership. The person doing the interview called me late and then I returned her call after I missed it. I was told that since I had missed my time by 3 minutes, I would have to reschedule for a later date, again which delay the process of even viewing a profile.

Quick ten minute conversation. Sheri gave me great tips and methods to positively avoid some discomfort or negativity for Dating 101. She was positive and let me think of ways to portray myself. Sheri was fun and interactive. I was able to ask some additional questions throughout our phone call. She sent me a dating tips email and file too. I look forward to my next call with her.

I paid for this service in early December and, since then, I've had one date that was okay & another person who stood me up. I was told I'd receive a gift card for this missed date, but I never received the gift card. It is now mid-March and I'm extremely disappointed in the lack of interaction that I've experienced. Honestly, I'm at the point of exasperation, and am sharing with others that this expensive service is not a viable option for people who are 60+ years of age. It's unfortunate, as I'm well-connected and was quite excited about being engaged with a dating service that was ostensibly going to vet potential dates and meet my needs! I understand that there are at least 3 more dates that your organization has contracted to provide. When do you think that will happen?

I've had a few conversations with the staff and counselors and it has been very positive. I am looking forward to meeting a match and having a date. I will know how to better rate IJL after my first, or more, dates and progress I am making.

I wish there is a negative star category instead of 1 Star. Fool me once shame on you fool me twice shame on me. I gave them 2 years of an opportunity and they kept sending me matches that are exactly opposite to what I asked for. I thought it was a mistake for the first few dates and I kept referring back to my criteria (which applies to thousands and thousands of single women in greater Seattle area). Then they ended up blaming me for my criteria. :-) All I wanted was to settle down and have a family.

My original experience with IJL (as a local franchise) was very poor. Since the corporate buyout of the Seattle office and the efforts of Debbie ** the experience has been remarkably better. Suddenly it feels that someone is truly engaged in my process and cares!

I met with Cheri and it was a wonderful experience. She was kind and easy to talk with. She made me feel comfortable talking about personal experiences and opportunities for improvement. If needed, I know that I could ask anything and she would be In my corner giving me right coaching.

My meeting with Sheri went smoothly. I was apprehensive but her personality and knowledge made me feel comfortable. She answered all of my questions and gave me an opportunity for more dialog later if needed. I am very anxious to meet the person they selected for my first date.

Sheri was very helpful. She gave me a lot of very good suggestions from choosing a clothing selection ahead of time, to asking interest based (non-interrogation) questions. I feel a lot more comfortable with the "getting to know you" part of the first date now.

Sheri was very professional. She was really easy to talk to, and asks a lot of important questions. I realized I don't have time to look around for a partner. It's Just Lunch was a very good opportunity and very good option for me.

This was a pleasure, a positive start in my search. I am going to follow the suggestions. Thanks. The topic is something I am comfortable with, given 30+ years of interviewing patients in my allergy practice. I value fitness, and believe a healthy mind requires regular exercise. I am also an enthusiastic cook.

The company is poorly run and each person you talk to has a different answer. They start out with a high pressure sales pitch followed by zero communication. Do not sign up until you ask specific questions such as do they actually have people to meet? For example, if you are a man, do they actually have women that meet your criteria? The process of setting up and waiting for dates takes way too long and can get very frustrating. They told me several times that they have clients to call back so I asked if I was considered a "client". If you are a woman, do not even consider this place. They allow men days or weeks to decide whether to meet and it takes 3 to 4 weeks to set up one date. These people have the worst work ethic ever and they would never make it at a real company because they move so slow and never return phone calls. You are better off to network with your family and friends to find someone to date.

Their dating coach session is very helpful. I was comfortable talking to Sheri Entirely during the session. She helped me what to talk at the first dates with numerous examples. She followed up the session via emails immediately after the session. I felt I was well serviced. Thank you very much.

So far, I am happy with the experience. My dating director is helpful and is motivated to find my matches. My FaceTime with dating coach was very insightful. I wished the NYC members can get more matches though. Other than that, it’s been good.

I want to share with you my experiences about two fabulous people working in Baltimore for IJL. My first contact was Sherri, the life coach. I didn’t know what to expect with this FaceTime session. She was upbeat, kind, caring, and full of knowledge that she shared with me about IJL. She explained the process of IJL and I shared some of the expectations that I had. This FaceTime session was very informative and I commend Sherri for making me feel so comfortable with the process. My next phone call came from Obed, my dating director. I believe we clicked from the start. I immediately noticed the caring gentleman that he is. Obed’s diligence gives me the feeling that he always has me in mind, working very hard to make a pleasing date for me too. Also I could not have better dating director. These are two of the IJL group that truly go “above and beyond” helping the clients succeed in matchmaking. Kudos to Sherri and Obed!!

I had a productive coaching session with Sheri. She was well-prepared, and she asked me thought provoking questions. When I asked for her advice, she listened without judgement, and gave me practical tips that I will use in the future.

My first life coach was a disaster and I was ready to cry "fraud". Then, a miracle happened, Kimberli was assigned to my case. I loved her personality and interviewing skills. She arranged for me to meet Bob ** and let me tell, you, Bob is a ** of a man. We had a very nice first lunch, have had a dinner date and are planning another date tomorrow night. I am very comfortable getting to know him and he has met a few of my friends so far. Thanks Kimberli - you are a sweetheart.

Sheri who is part of the team at IJL was very positive, friendly and encouraging. She is professional and knowledgeable. She was open to all questions and concerns and she answered them in a way that made me feel confident. I highly recommend working with Sheri!

IJL may have a lot of press over the years but from a service perspective I cannot review them any lower. Kristina ** out of their Ft. Lauderdale location did the intro call, which took 90 minutes. Numerous questions are to be expected for this sort of offering but she did push it. Some questions were invasive and over the top for someone I had never talked to in my life. Towards the end I was told the price and expected to sign right away. What is that? Normal people don't just drop $** at the drop of a hat. When I said I'd need to give it some thought she became outrageously rude saying that if I don't sign then I'm not ready to have a relationship. That is extremely inaccurate and they do not know how to treat prospective clients. By not signing tonight I was told, having a relationship must not be important to me. It was uncalled for, insulting, inappropriate.

Obed has been a wonderful matchmaker to me so far. He really puts forth effort in maintaining communication with me even when I’m often difficult to reach with my hectic work and school schedule. He is kind, answers all my questions, and puts my concerns in mind. My first match was great and I’m certain he will pick someone amazing for my second match. I’m comfortable talking to and sharing information with Obed and I feel like he cares about providing the best service possible.

I was very pleased with Andrea's interview, she was very precise, gave me some tips, brought up questions that help me to define my interest, gave me the time needed and it was a very personalized interview, very reassuring that I was in good hands, thank you very much.

While I did not have a good initial experience with the company, I met a very nice man on my third IJL date. This date was set up by Dating Director, Kiana. It has been several months and he and I are still seeing each other.

Kimberly has been great to work with. Progress in finding a date has been slow due to lack of women available in my area (my opinion). Hopefully things will pick up this spring. Kimberly is still working diligently finding a match for me.

I have been very pleased with IJL. The customer service is great, employees are friendly, down to earth and genuine. Especially Julie and Obed, they are understanding and informative about everything. The date that I went on was fun, my match and I talked for hours. We both had a lot in common and exchanged information. I feel that Julie and Obed are great at their jobs and enjoy what they do. So far so good. Hopefully my experience with IJL will continue to be positive.

My 2nd date is fun. I was so impressive with all team members, that have a time and match me with my date. I will be happy to spread the words to all my single friend, who is very serious with they life to find very good match on IJL. Wish me luck you guys IJL team members.

Andrea during our meeting was understanding and caring despite there being technical difficulties on my end. She was patient with me when I would have bouts of indecision. Despite how nervous I am she really made me feel comfortable in this new dating scene.

Overpriced matchmaking service! They don't listen to your requests and send blurry pictures of people that you have no interest in. It's takes them months to respond and have no refund policy. Very unhappy with their service! Be aware and never use this company.

I was hugely disappointed with the first match they sent me as he didn’t meet the criteria I laid out. However, IJL has redeemed itself in my eyes for the second match I got. This one I actually agreed to. Meet and by all accounts is a great guy who is successful and lives close by.

I did meet someone very nice and I had really good time. It was a really nice place with good food, wine and life music. But not found yet the right person. I am still looking for this guy who fulfill my life and I trust It's Just Lunch for this important step of my life!!!

IJL is very user friendly. A team selects the matches, chooses the venue where the meeting takes place, arranges with that venue to have separate checks brought to the table thus solving the issue when first meeting regards to who is paying. All the client has to do is look cute/handsome, have a smile on their face and conduct an interesting conversation regarding their interests in the up-and-coming restoration of Buffalo, NY. The rest is history.

It was a pleasure talking with Dating Coach, Sheri, and getting some useful advice from her. She was engaging, patient, and took the time to really listen to me. Sherrie was my date consultant. She was very personable and easy to feel comfortable with. She asked some good questions to get to know me and my background and to get a feel for my comfort level with dating. She is super cute, warm and a friendly person.

I’m confident that this review will not be taken for granted by IJL as the old saying goes “Don’t mistake kindness for weakness”. What began as an absolute disaster has transformed into a much more effective and professional experience. I won’t go into all the details as to WHY the membership went into a nose dive from Day 1.

Andrea was very professional and easy to talk with. She verified my information and made me feel comfortable that I will get good matches. The Facetime connection was a little difficult at times, but I live in Hawaii, so that is normal on Maui. I look forward to dating!

My experience with Sheri as a dating coach was great! I am a little rusty in the dating scene, and she gave me a lot of good pointers that will help me during my next first dates. She sent me a list of do's and don'ts, and also suggestions of topics to discuss during the dates which I found very helpful.

The downside of IJL is the price; only people from a certain SES can afford $** for six months of matchmaking, thus it does not represent a full range of the population. However, on the bright side, all of the people I have dealt with at IJL have been very personable, and just yesterday I met a guy I really liked, and it was only my second date with this site!

So far I have interviewed with Carrie - as I signed up for It’s Just Lunch. I also enjoyed meeting with Andrea for my identification check, she made me feel very comfortable. I’m looking forward to meeting my “one and only”!

I had a very disturbing and non-existent experience with IJL for the first 9 months of my contract but was recently called by Lisa ** who assured me that IJL and herself would turn my situation around and provide me the dates I had originally requested. I very much appreciate Lisa's commitment, effort and attitude; she recently provided me my first "real" date and although it was not a love connection - she's on the right track! I am beyond disappointed that I signed up and paid $** for this "matchmaking" service! My research was not deep enough. First of all, the ratio of women to men is at best 2:1. Could be 3:1. In the first 7 weeks I have had only 2 dates with what I consider sub-par men. Julie gets you signed up and makes you feel important and then the chaos begins. The office staff is always changing. There is NO communication between them and consistently calls don't get made and really no-one knows what the hell is going on. Currently the staff member that called me last week is 22 years old. What does a 22 year old know about relationships and matchmaking for people in their 40's or 50's? And, of course, there is no possibility of a refund $$. Chalk this up to a HUGE $** mistake.

I have been with IJL for about 5 months. They have been helpful in trying to find me people to meet as their mission is to help people meet who are professionals that do not have the time to go out looking for someone of liked interest.

I really enjoyed my first meeting. The restaurant was excellent and my date was comfortable. I would recommend this to individuals who are looking to meet good quality people. I did not have to worry about coordinating any of the details. I am looking forward to more meetings.

Andrea helped me feel very comfortable especially since I did not have the best experience with my two other life coaches who seemed to either not know much about me (mentioned things that were clearly not in my file) or spoke more about themselves rather than listened to my needs. Andrea has given me some hope that this will work but time will tell since I am still waiting on some dates.

I was pleased with the first date I was set up on. It was a positive experience. I am looking forward to going out on other dates. My dating coordinator seemed to understand what I was looking for. I had a rocky start with IJL as my dating coordinator Kephad left and there were some communication problems. However, my new dating coordinator, Ana ** has been more attentive.

Andrea was amazing. For some reason the volume on my computer would not work. But the video did. So she called me and after she took my picture and checked my ID we continued my appt on the phone. She was so patient with me!! Great job Andrea!!

Had an enjoyable meeting with a nice man. Communication was easy and he shared enough of his life story and asked me about mine. His social life is limited by his choice. My life may be too busy for him. Unfortunately, we did not connect and he did not ask for a 2nd date. Looking forward to meeting others.

I can't say enough great things about Andrea as a dating coordinator. She was professional, insightful, thoughtful, and funny. The IJL team has made the match making experience pretty cool so far. I would definitely recommend IJL to friends and colleagues.

My interaction with Andrea was fine... She is a lovely woman but I felt that her responses were very rehearsed. I am hoping that the interview will help sort out a good math for me. We did clarify a few things so I believe it will.

This company misrepresented to services they were supposed to provide. Any consumer would be better off going through a free dating website rather than spend $** to only receive one potential match. They have a very high staff turnover so you get assigned new "dating consultants" often. Do not waste your time or money!

It was a good date. She was smart, beautiful and very interesting. It lasted about an hour. The restaurant was great and the server was awesome. I will definitely be calling Diseiye to for a second date.

The restaurants they send you to NEVER know what you are talking about with reservation numbers or anything about It's Just Lunch! and they are way too expensive for a first date. I been working with Obed ** and Udonna **. Both are doing a good job. Would like to see more dates though. I live in Greenville, SC and so far I haven't had any dates but two dates in Atlanta, GA.

The first coach I was assigned to was unable to complete her job duties as required. After speaking with a supervisor I was reassigned to a new coach. The new coach did place me with one match. However, the match lives out of state which decreases the likelihood of relationship success mostly due to distance. Overall, the organization employees need to work to communicate better. For example, I received an email from one employee asking for match feedback. Then, I got another email from my coach asking for feedback. When I followed up with my coach, she said not to include the first IJL employee who emailed me, no explanation. At this point, I'd take a refund and exit the IJL system if allowed.

Sheri did a great job during my coaching session. I thought that she opened up my perspective to consider new questions to ask during a date and to understand about myself while going through the process. I used IJL twice. Each time, it was clear that they really don't pay much attention to what you want for your $** and then $**. Among other things, I told them I really wanted someone in NYC. The first guy they matched me up with lived in Connecticut, although at least he worked in midtown Manhattan. When I complained, they claimed they didn't know where he lived. In good faith, I did try that, because at least he worked in the city, but ultimately, we became friends. I went back to IJL, and emphasized again, directly to my matchmaker, that I really wanted someone who lived in Manhattan. She sent me two profiles but would not tell me where the men lived, citing privacy concerns.

I really enjoyed the dating session. Sheri made a lot of helpful suggestions about questions to ask during the first date, what to wear, and how to close the date. I would definitely recommend this suggestion to other people as it can be very helpful especially before a first date.

Please be aware that if you live in a rural area you may have trouble going to their lunch site. The nearest restaurant for me was 160 miles one way. The next available site is 260 miles one way. Obviously there's no way I would've signed up if I would have been aware of my nearest restaurant visit site. Also of the few times that I have been contacted there maybe just one photograph. Also there have been months go by before I've heard about a potential date and secondly I'm on my third or fourth dating specialist. Admittedly I am not a Ronaldo but I am I really decent guy, very successful professionally and since joining another site I Am able to see lots of pictures of exchange phone numbers, have engaging conversations and have had several partners that wish to engage with me. I have had only one date which I was greeted with a limp handshake. And only a couple suggestions total so far. I think a person can do a lot better on a different dating site.

I have received several call backs and when I returned the call on the same day I received it, they failed to return the call. In fact, I left a voicemail and waited 2 days, but no call back. Not pleased at all. If this is how this service plans to find me a match, then I am doomed!

I signed up a month ago and still have not been sent an appropriate match. They sent one but it was clearly just a quick reaction to try and appease my query on the delayed action, not a serious match. The delay for the in person interview was too long. I have emailed my dating coordinator again but have received no response. Everyone has been very nice but for now, I'll give 2 stars in the hopes of better service once I receive it.

I signed up for this service on 09/01/17 with high hopes. They said they had many eligible guys in their database and I would be going on dates right away. All lies. It has been 4 months and I have had one date. Also, their contract is a scam... It says it is a six month contract and they fulfill their obligation if they send you on 4 dates, whichever comes later. Technically, they can send you on 4 dates in 20 years and met their obligation. IT IS A HUGE SCAM. I have asked my dating director multiple times for feedback, more information on their search... help me help you... nothing.

In the world of social media and dating apps I was curious if something nontraditional like IJL would help me find someone special. It's been nothing but a waste of time and money. There seems to be an extremely light inventory and the selections they sent me were comical at best. I could easily find more interesting and attractive women on any number of dating sites, and booking dinner on Open table takes no time at all. I would never recommend their 'service' to anyone. They rarely applied the filters I provided and photos of potential matches they sent were always blurry. Kinda feel like it's a scam.

If I could rate them a zero or even a negative number, I would. It’s a complete ripoff. Save your money. Very unresponsive & they do NOT match you to people even close to what you describe & agree to up front. Rude employees & very unresponsive. Would go days/weeks without a response. They sell you something and then deliver nothing.

This is my first experience dating in over 25 years, and I am working with IJL because I do not believe in the computer as a mechanism for meeting a significant other. I have had one experience with a match resulting from the assistance of Aleisha, and it lasted almost 4 hours and has resulted in a second date. Newman did a great job with the setting for the date and Aleisha has been prompt and thorough in helping with my questions and concerns. I am confident that through their continued efforts I will have the opportunity to establish a relationship of significance with the hopes of more. Thank you to them for their efforts on my behalf.

The communication is limited from IJL, there was a whole month and a half where my rep didn't communicate with, yet there's a guaranteed date per month in the contract. Only been on 2 dates, personality wise the first date was good but wasn't a paying client therefore didn't have the same level of commitment to the interest finding a serious relationship in my opinion. Second date, personality was pretty negative, bitter guy, but professionally in line with what I'm looking for. Overall, for the cost to use this service given the quality of the dates, no good and lack of communication from my dating concierge. The upfront process gives the impression, they have a solid process and commitment. However, I rated it 3 stars because of the new rep I got about a week ago appears to show genuine care in my needs. Previous rep, showed many moments of frustration and insincerity.

The meet up place was very nice. My date was just the type of guy I've been looking for. Tall, handsome, and professional. The entire date was very comfortable. I paid $** and the deal was to get matched with 4 professionals over 6 months and it happened. But here are my matches. The first one was single, never married or had kids and he told me right away after we met that he wanted to meet a woman without kids to start his own life, so the match was really poor. Same story happened with at least two other matches. The only match who seemed Ok on first date turned out to be on a physical relationship with a married woman, alcoholic, tattoo addict, and with gambling issues.

After three dates cancelled on me, IJL offered me a full refund.

He insisted on paying for the lunch, got up first to help me up from my seat, opened the door for me as well left the restaurant, and insisted on escorting me to my next destination which was the mall although several yards away. We started another conversation while walking to the mall and started to sit a bench outside the mall to finish the conversation, however Mike suggested that we find a place inside the mall to continue the discussion, since it was cold outside and I was wearing a dress and my legs exposed to the weather. I was initially quite skeptic about this matchmaking experience. I still do think it's rather expensive for only one date per month but I see that the members are hand selected to be the best match possible based on your profile. In the end my date paid for the entire bill but it was a nice gesture to be presented in such a way to make it less complicated. The restaurant was just okay; it had good atmosphere, but the food was okay and a bit pricey for the type of food that was served. If anything that was the main best part of the whole experience was getting to meet her and having a fun time with her.

The matchmaker assigned did not listen to the qualities and character of the man I was seeking. I was provided with 2 matches that were not anything like I had described. After the third so called match that was not a good fit, I was told my membership was expired. They only want you to sign up again for $850.00. The matchmaker was in Florida, original contact in LA and I was in NY. Stay away as this is a scam.
