The stories I am reading where people are calling hotlines not sure if they want to live is just an example of how sick and twisted Meta is. They do not care whatsoever. At least our class action law suit is having thousands of participants, petition is passed 23,000 (as of this review) and sites like Trustfactor and this site is allowing people to share their story. Out of the blue, my personal FB account, personal Instagram account and business Instagram account was suspended then banned on March 6, 2025. I've had my accounts for over 17 years. I've been a loyal user and customer and now I am banned from my own friends, memories and photos. My business account is locked which has substantially affected my business. I have tried the appeal and submitted a face selfie to prove it's me. I have written a notorized and certified letter to Meta as well as my Attorney General. Thank you for ruining my accounts and destroying my business of 17 years. Not sure what I did to deserve this punishment. Take care of your loyal consumers. My next step is to sue to get my accounts back. Do better, Meta.

I was given no way to contact anyone at Facebook/meta - no email, no phone number, no live chat - nothing! Because of this, I have lost revenue, business opportunities, and most importantly, pics and videos of loved ones I cannot get back. Meta has yet to even acknowledge the problem, despite this affecting now millions of users. Absolute trash platform. Use something else.

A monopoly of bullying censorship. 1) They have been harassing users with baseless accusations of Community Standards Violations (failure to identify what standard was violated). 2) They allow multiple duplicates of user accounts (fakes) with stolen information and media. Known photos are duplicated (of models) and names are changed on minimum profile information given. These are redirect accounts and phishing accounts. 3) Actual account users are continually harassed by AI censorship for biased/ unsubstantiated removal and limitations on Marketplace, Facebook, and Instagram.

Note: At no time does Facebook follow due process of fair standards or legal due process which constitutes censorship of free speech and illegal harassment. Facebook must notify users of their media service as to the exact standards violation reported and corrective measures needed to be taken. Their arbitrary abuse of disabling personal accounts amounts to said harassment.

Meta account was hacked and scammer installed two step verification on my account, set up a subscription charge for Meta, and also hacked my PayPal. PayPal has a phone number, and fixed instantly. Meta and Facebook refuses to have a point of contact and sends you on an endless loop of sending in your ID to reset your password, but leaves the hacker's email and their (the scammer’s) two step verification in tact. Therefore, you are never able to actually get into your account, and the hacker never looses access. Every time I change my password, the hacker change it right after me. There is NO ONE to speak to. No customer service email. No phone number. I also own 3 (yes, 3!) Meta Quest 3 and Instagram accounts, but the hackers will disconnect your accounts and make your devices unrecognized. I’ve had my account for 17 years, and this is sad.

I did exactly what it said and I sent in my license to verify my identity however after I sent in my license it was still saying my account was locked. Even though I couldn’t get into my account Facebook was still sending me login Alerts and location alerts even though I’m not completely signed in because my account is still locked. I decided to send in my identity a second time to unlock the account, I sent in my license AGAIN today and the same thing occurred.

Facebook sent me a password and a link to get into my account but once I use it, it’s still saying my account is locked but I’m still getting login alerts. What is going on? All I want is for my Facebook account to be unlocked so I can get back into it.I sent in my license not once but TWICE already, it should’ve worked the first time I sent in my license but it didn’t, I decided to be the bigger person and send it in a second time and it's STILL not unlocked. I just want my Facebook back, it’s my account after all.

They don't offer solution, but tell you, that, "Don't worry, we will solve your problem and if you don't have anything else to discuss about, then we will close this chat and wish you a nice day!!!" So then, you lost your support ticket!!! IT'S a NIGHTMARE system! Doesn't matter how many times I contacted them, it's exactly the very same every time!! Such a huge disappointment from Facebook!

They block credit cards, because my bank did not let the payment go through due to the very serious fact, that the amount that needed to be paid and was displayed at the payment ($45.93) in their system was smaller than what they wanted to charge ($58.33) after the verification!! And, because you keep trying, they restricted the cards, stating fraudulent actions!!! Unbelievable!!!

A Facebook user died in spring 2023. Several months before he died his Facebook page was hacked and taken over by someone. He complained to FB, but it continued to let the hacker use the page. The victim died in mid-2023. In December 2023 the hacker began using the stolen account, posting simple photos with nature themes, etc. This past month, Jan 2024 the hacker claimed they and their family were "relocating" and were selling lots of garden equipment, a couples of cars, etc. and all the interested buyer had to do was send them a deposit, which would hold the item in the person's name until they paid the remainder.

Of course when you complain to Facebook about inappropriate accounts they do not let you explain, in typed words, what the problem is. So, reporting a site selling items which looks legit won't be caught by their computer, so it gets the all clear from FB. So... I wrote a note to the FB department handling dead people's accounts. The response from them is everything looks good, even though I provided the memorial information proving the guy who has been hacked ... is dead... So... the page gets to stay, and can continue being abused by the person who hacked it, who is now clearly going to scam people not aware of the situation.

I received a message over Facebook Messenger that pretended to be from Facebook saying that my Facebook page would be deactivated within 24 hours due to a company logo and branding complaint filed by multiple entities. I had 24 hours to prove that my business was mine and that I had rights to use the branding, logo, and name else my Facebook page would be removed. I clicked the link in the message and it took me to a Facebook verification page. It asked me to put in my Facebook email address and password to verify that the Facebook page was mine. It then gave me a green check and said I had verified my Facebook page. I immediately was suspicious because I noticed the URL was not on the Facebook domain. But then I thought maybe Facebook contracts with a third-party website to verify identities. But I had a bad feeling in my gut so I immediately went to my Business Ad page and everything seemed fine.

I went on working/blogging and then about 20 minutes later, I went back to read the Messenger message again to make sure I did everything right to verify my business page and the message was gone! Now I started to get VERY worried because I didn't know that Facebook would send me a message about verifying my Facebook page but then remove the message! So I started looking closer at my Business Ad page and to my horror I now found some foreign entities listed on my Business Ad page! They had non-American names. I immediately contacted Facebook for help. I sent screen grabs of these people from my Business Ad account showing the accounts on my account. But no one at Facebook responded to my emails. So I started googling how to remove people from my Business Ad account. I found out how to do it and removed their access from my Business ad page. They appeared again!

I woke up my wife who is a Facebook expert and I told her I think I was fooled into putting in my Facebook login. She said I should NEVER trust Facebook Messenger posts and I should NEVER have to verify my identity even for a Facebook page. So now I'm REALLY worried and she said I should change my password. So I logged back into Facebook and changed my password. It asked me if I wanted to log out other sessions and I said yes and it showed me that someone from Utah was logged into my account! So now I'm panicked. So now I emailed Facebook again saying for sure my account has been hacked and now I'm turning off my Business Ad account. Again, no one from Facebook responded to my emails on Sunday and yet hours have gone by! But I thought I was safe because I turned off my Business Ad account.

Then the next morning, on Monday, all these charges started appearing in my Paypal account which is linked to my bank account. I have no money in Paypal so it's coming out of my bank account! I have my Paypal notifications turned on so it sends me an email whenever a charge happens and it's Facebook charging my account for ads I never ran! They keep coming in every few minutes at 5:30 AM, then 5:40 AM, then 5:45 AM, then 5:50 AM, and I log into Facebook and I can't see anything as I turned off my Business Page!!! So I start screaming and my chest feels tight like I'm having a heart attack and I scream at my wife, oh my God, wake up sweetie our bank account is being drained and I don't know how to stop it and charges keep appearing on my Paypal account and I don't know what to do.

She said contact Facebook. I said I did on Sunday and nobody has responded to me yet. She says call the bank and see if they can stop the charges. And I said no, they're not open this early and I have to stop this now, it's happening in real time! And so I start going through Paypal settings and I discover that Facebook has been authorized to deduct money in Paypal, aha! So I turned that off at about 6 AM on Monday morning and the charges stopped coming through. I watched my Paypal account for the next hour and no more charges came through so I did it and stopped it.

Paypal did nothing to help me in a timely manner. Worse, their customer support is all foreigners who don't speak correct English and they are not refunding my account even though I took screenshots of the scammer on my account, and even the fake Facebook verification page that was used to trick me into putting in my Facebook email and password! I will never advertise on Facebook again as a small business owner and I don't recommend anybody else does either.

Also in their community guidelines it states they take harassment serious....Well what's going on there? Why are they allowing it to keep happening? Yeah they say to just block the person to stop seeing the posts but what good is that if the posts continue and my family and I pictures and private information and slandering is still being put out there.

Over three months ago my Facebook account was hijacked. The hijacker managed to change the email address, the telephone number and the password. They immediately put a post that had a bunch of things for sale. I have reported this about 25 times and friends have reported it. Every effort that I have used to try and recover my account have failed. Facebook will send a code to the phone or email but it goes to the hijacker’s. Recently I tried again and was told they would help me get a new email. However, that failed because they wanted my current email and that was changed by my hijacker. I could go no further. FB has no live person to talk to or even a chat. They do not seem to understand that if your identifying information has changed you cannot go anywhere with their automated system. I have tried everything I know how to do. I filed a police report.

My concern at this point is no longer wanting the account back but just wanting this account deleted. I am sharing my husband’s account. The hijacker has blocked my husband from the account but Sunday I went into the hijacked account and the hijacker had another scam on there. The hijacker through messenger has told me I can have my account back for $100 that they need for their poor sick child. They have asked friends for money. I want rid of this account because the hijacker is trying to commit crimes while in my account.

My mom's Facebook account was hacked, and the hacker immediately changed the email address and phone number attached to the account, which means all the 'hacking' reports and instructions in the help center do not work. Support has not been helpful. The hacker proceeded to message all her contacts asking for money. Sadly, we she has vulnerable friends and family members that have given the hacker money and filed police reports.

When that didn't work, the hacker went to missing persons groups and started posting graphic photos of my mom's now deceased sister in law (which were private and meant for family members only, but the hacker stole them from previous private messages), sometimes claiming it is my missing sister, Hailey **. They are asking for donations in her name and the name of “Lori”, our deceased family member, and asking for money. We are not sure if this is the same person sending threats and ransom demands, but either way, the police have been notified and an IC3 report has been filed. I reported the chat log as ‘hacked’ to Facebook with no response. The log even shows a message where the hacker agreed to return control of my account to my mom in exchange for $80 which she does not have.

My mother has gone through all suggested steps in the help center. Nothing works because the hacker gained access to her account and changed the email address and phone number and logged her out of all devices extremely quickly. Once she saw the email from Facebook alerting her of the email address change, it was already too late.

We are already dealing with so much with my sister being missing in Washington State, and now we are being terrorized while Facebook allows it to happen. My mom’s account is Facebook **. She is disabled, and Facebook was her connection to the world, and all her friends and family. Our family uses the name ** for spiritual reasons and we are known to our loved ones, friends and neighbors as the “**” family. Her ID will show her legal first name and legal date of birth.

She has been using this account for many years in Colorado. It should be obvious to Facebook that her account was hacked by looking at the historical activity prior to the last email update and it should be restored to the control of my mom’s original email address that she started the account with. Their "security" is a joke. I have screenshots from the scammer asking for $80 to return control of her account to her, but she doesn't have the money and neither do I and Facebook shouldn't let disabled people be extorted and terrorized. Facebook isn't doing anything at all. I have written a letter to headquarters, emailed all Facebook support emails I could find online, messaged many employees that handle security on LinkedIN, posted reviews detailing the hell we go through, and I am not going to stop until my mom has her account back.

Within 30 minutes I had multiple people DMing me about a government program that gives away money to seniors and those who are disabled. I was approached by a person I know from high school yet I know it wasn't her. Somehow these scammers use other people's page or picture and name on Instant Messenger. PLEASE be aware of these scams. There are multiple and once again they may use a person's name you know to draw you in. It's a shame you can't go on any social media sites unless you always keep your guard up.
