I've never had an allergic reaction like this to a hair product before - not even in my younger days when I could not afford particularly good products. Wen felt fine while I used it in the shower. I applied the product - less than recommended, as the recommended amount seemed wildly excessive - and rinsed thoroughly. I don't enjoy lingering odour of any product in my hair, so a thorough rinse is a habit, regardless of what I'm using. An hour later, I noticed my scalp was itchy in places. The itchiness spread over the next 30 minutes until my entire scalp was affected. Then the burning started. I didn't wait any longer and gave my hair/scalp a good scrub with my regular shampoo. Luckily, that helped. The itch/burning went away and I was left with a tender scalp for 2 days. It makes me wonder what is in Wen.
The only positive is that I bought the Wen from a local store, and so didn't have to deal with the shady billing practices that people have complained about. And, the store refunded my money. Shame, Wen seems like a good idea.

I received my product and found out that I was really going to pay $108 instead of the $34 that I was told. When I called to tell them that I was never told about this price he would cut me off and tell me he was trying to help me decide if I wanted to keep it or send it back. I told him I would send it back because I'm not paying that since I was never told that amount and if I had known about that amount I would've never bought it in the first place. He continued to cut me off so I asked for a supervisor and told me they don't have supervisors and that there was no corporate number that I could call. When I started talking again he hung up on me! I called back and the next lady was rude as well so I blocked my card so they couldn't take my money since I never agreed to that amount. I was more than willing to send it back but they don't want to listen to me! I will never order this again! They really need to teach some customer service to the reps!!!

I DID NOT ORDER THAT SHIPMENT! I NEVER gave my permission to you to ship it to me. The only thing I ordered from you was the trial package that I paid for at that time. At NO TIME did I sign anything that indicated I was obligated to buy more. If that was hidden within the fine print I think that is a horrible way to conduct business. Plus I think $135 for shampoo is totally insane. I am not paying that. If you insist on trying to force me to pay for that I will publicly fight it. It is now apparent to me that Chaz Dean is nothing but a scam artist. I am going to complain.

When I made what I thought was a one-time online order, I was enrolled in a membership with periodic automatic shipments (and billing). Canceling the account was nearly impossible. MANY other people have reported this same problem.

I wanted to try out the product so went online and ordered. The product did not work for me at all. It left my hair greasy. In 6 weeks, they had sent me another box of product at triple the originally advertised price. I returned the product and canceled my account. I was told that they may still bill me for the product even though I returned it. Additionally, I had to pay the returning costs because I had to open the invoice to see where to return the product. Finally, they refunded me a portion of the cost, charging me a "re-stocking fee". Although this may be common practice, I find it reprehensible.

I have used Wen products. I have lost hair and after discontinued use still lose excessive amounts of hair. I have no receipts but have a lot of product left as they continued to send it until I told them if they sent more I would not pay or return it.

This is the worst customer service I have ever seen. They charge your account for upcoming months' supplies of their product before you even get you first order and when you call to rectify the problem they talk in circles. I am extremely unhappy. They took $29.95 out of my account 3 times within 3 days for a $29.95 order. I couldn't believe it and had to have my bank dispute the charges for me to get credit back. Unfortunately it overdrew my account and I incurred overdraft fees of $70.00 so now they are into me for $159.85 for a $29.95 order. Please do NOT patronize this Company until they get it together.

I will "never" order their products ever again!!! My credit card (Mastercard gift card) was declined and instead of calling me and telling me, they just deleted the order, and (after it was back ordered for several weeks!) I got the vitamins, and their email saying the order had shipped. So I cut up the gift card and threw it away, just to avoid problems, and now they say that they don't have the gift card number. They said it was voided because it was a gift card, and so now I'M out 120$ and a 3-month supply of WEN pomegranate shampoo. The operators were horribly rude! The company itself is horrible and ridiculous. No one I know will ever order this product again!

I've been using this product and my hair has been falling out. I didn't realize it was from using the Wen products until I started using it again exclusively, and my hair started falling out again. I just happened to talk to someone I know, she told me her hair was falling out also and she was using the product too. She told me she saw on the website that other women had problems with hair loss and told me not to use the products anymore. I haven't order the products in a while, because they wanted me to keep buying them with autoship and I couldn't afford it, but I still have the products.

Signed up for the introductory offer, apparently in the small print we signed up for a membership. The customer service is impossible to deal with and when I asked to speak to a supervisor, I was told that they were all busy. Impossible to opt out of the membership. The service rep was polite but no help what so ever. Gave up and contacted my bank to block any future charge attempts. Lesson learned. What a horrible company.

I did not agree to a "membership." I thought I was making a one-time purchase after watching the entire infomercial. I was completely underwhelmed by the product and then came home today to find a new shipment that I did NOT agree to. I looked back at the emails and there is nothing about a "membership" or agreement to future purchases. I phoned the company and they say that I clicked a box when I made the first order that obligated me to two future purchases for a total of $104 when all I agreed to was $29.95. Judging by some of the other reviews here I am not alone. Avoid this scam!!

Setting here with it in my hair reading these complaints. Received the product a year ago. Used it a few times and did not like the way it made my hair feel or how it smells. A couple months ago, I came across a couple of boxes of the product, just like everyone else it took me a few tries to stop the shipments too. I decided to give it another try and use it. The main thing here is the DAMAGE that is being done to your hair. I am almost bald because I never believed the thinning of my hair was being caused by the product. I blamed it on age, medicine, etc. If I had not luck up on this website I would still be using it. Even if and whatever you have left stop using it. They should be sued.

They were supposed to send me two bottles of the Summer Honey Peach and two bottles of the Six Thirteen. I never received these items. One reason is because after I called back, they were out of the Summer collection. But yet I've been charged 112.00 for items never received. Extremely frustrated. What ever happened to being professional and honest from the start? Come on, they knew they were out of the product and yet still never sent me the two bottles of Six Thirteen but charged me anyway...

And they do tell you that you will send you more product every 3 months so people need to listen better to the commercial. My client and I think this product is truly wonderful and again she 80 yr olds and has not loss hair from this product, in fact her hair looks more alive than it ever has since she started using Wen products. People have their opinion in Wen but Wen is the only way to go and I won't use anything else. Her either!!! So we want to thank Chaz Dean for making a great product that we love so much!!!!

I first ordered Wen about a year ago. I thought I liked it at first, but then noticed that often my hair didn't look clean afterward, like all the product didn't wash out or something. They say it takes time for hair to adjust after stopping using regular shampoo, so I kept using it. I tried using less pumps and called to have my shipments be farther apart. Even using less product didn't help, it rinse clean. I called and they recommended I use a different formula (lavender). I did, but had the same issues. I called to cancel, they said it was taken care of.
About a month later I see charges again so I call back yet again. I explain I had already asked that it be cancelled so I didn't understand why I was still receiving charges. They supposedly had no record of my initial cancellation request. I said I wanted to cancel and even took the time to explain why. The rep tried to say the bit about how hair needs to adjust after stopping regular shampoo. I advised I'd been using the product almost a year (which she should have seen from my account) and that any supposed adjustment period should be long over. She said she would send a return label so I wouldn't have to pay for shipping and once the product was received, I would get my refund (processing time is 4-6 weeks!!!). I said I wanted to cancel my account so I don't have to keep calling back.
I was told I couldn't cancel yet or my return label wouldn't work because they are only for "preferred customers", so I would have to wait until I had shipped it back and call back to cancel. It took almost 2 weeks just to get my shipping label. I sent it via UPS same day I received it (end of Jan 2015), while waiting for refund I was charged 2 more times for a grand total of about $87.00. After waiting several weeks with no refund I called last week (3/12/15 approx) to ask where my refund was. I was told she could see that my product had been returned and was received at the warehouse "but it does take time to process". She made me wait another week and if I didn't see my refund, call back.
I called today 3/19/15 because I still do not have my refund but they have had their product back, unopened, unused for 7 weeks now. I was told it will be 3-5 MORE business days before I get my money. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!! Almost 2 months for any refund is ridiculous, not to mention the fact that they still keep charging your card after initial return request is made and they have sent return label. I really think they make it difficult just hoping people will give up because it's such a hassle. Just Horrible.

I have purchased too many products from Guthy Renker to fall for the "only $39.99" for all these products b.s. I have very fine hair, and felt this product would weigh my hair down, as even conditioner seems to do that. My stylist had good things to say about Wen, so I tried it. However, I bought it from Ebay. I paid significantly less for a HUGE bottle of the lavender scented shampoo, and I must say I have been pleasantly surprised. It lived up to everything promised in the infomercial. I bought it because I highlighted my hair pretty light (I'm a brunette), and I didn't want it to look fried. I don't have to wash it more than 2-3 times a week, and my hair is in better shape than it's ever been.
No itchy scalp, and healthy looking, manageable, hair. I was surprised it worked! I would have never tried it if my stylist hadn't recommended it. However, after reading all the reviews about the customer service & ripping people off, I will continue to buy it off of Ebay. I found a seller I feel I can trust, and I just get what I want - no unwanted products or surprises taken out of my checking account or credit card!

As all of the other ladies have stated; rooked into a membership program I was unaware of. After I received the product I ordered and used for a period of 12 days, I contacted them to refund my money, as per their money back GUARANTEE. I was well within the return product time and called customer service. After waiting on hold for quite a long time I finally got an employee who was certainly not fluent in English.
I explained my request to return my product, as it was within the allowed time frame. She then started reciting, what I'm sure is a scripted message, stating that I should continue using the product for 2 weeks more and if I continued with the problem she would be authorized to accept my return information. She stated that she was making notes in my file stating what we had discussed so that in case I still wanted to return the product at that time, it would merely be a routine process. She did not accept that I would not be using any more of the product.
In disgust, I wrote all of the info down and called 2 weeks later. There was no record of the conversation I had had with the first non-English speaking employee. They were sorry, but they could not accept the return as the return period had already passed. Of course, they had my credit card. Two weeks later, I received a membership kit. $109.20 for crap I did not want. I closed my credit card, called my credit card company and advised them of the problem. Since then, I have been receiving threatening letters concerning credit collectors. I checked my credit history and they have not attached themselves to my credit report, yet. I am sure that Mr. Chaz Dean is aware of these bad reviews. The man does not stand behind his product and obviously has no customer care conscious.

I'd always taken good care of my hair, it had never been chemically processed; and WAS long, shiny and beautiful. WEN is very expensive (surely, Chaz Dean is a millionaire by now), but I thought it worthwhile, if it kept my raven locks as lovely as ever. At first, I liked it. BUT after the third try, my hair began to fall out; it was dry and the color was different. Blaming thyroid medication, I consulted a doctor. But after ruling out other factors, we determined it must be the (new product). Aaargh! Hair was in the drain, on the floor, my pillow and hair brushes; plus my scalp itched like crazy.
My crowning glory became thin, dull and lifeless - because of WEN! Although it was suggested that if I shaved my head the hair would come back thicker, I could only wait and see if another product would repair it. (sigh) NOW, after several months of using another product, my hair is beginning to feel normal again. I finally tried a new color, too! After what I went through with WEN, I figured a little peroxide wouldn't kill me.

This product/company is a complete SCAM! I wish I had read the reviews before ordering. The shampoo made my hair greasy and flat. To top it off, they send you a whole new package less than a month after the first one. Who would need that much product if it actually worked? I immediately called my bank and made sure Wen could not charge my card again and they told me to call them if I did not receive my refund after returning the package. SHOCKER... a month has gone by and I have yet to receive my refund.
When I called Wen, a lady told me it could take 4-6 weeks to receive a refund. I was livid! How can something that has been returned to the facility (I tracked it) not be credited back to my account instantly? When I got an attitude with the Wen representative, she hung up on me! Luckily my bank has taken care of everything for me but I just love how much time I got to spend on hold dealing with this issue. 0 Stars for Wen. SCAMMMM!

Many years ago I found this product in the store for a few dollars. I used this religiously and it was the greatest product I could find. Then it disappeared from the shelves. In the last few years I find it being sold for 6 times the amount on television. Was what I bought a test product? Why is this product not affordable for everyone, not just the well to do that can waste money on their hair for the amount that I can feed my children on for 3 days? If it was more affordable and in the local grocery store I could guarantee I would buy it for my family. With that said, it would be a purchase of 3 bottles a week for 52 weeks a year. Even at 10 dollars a bottle which is expensive enough in the real world of real people, it is still doable. I could care less at whose name they use to sell the product. The product itself is what I want to purchase. This product helped with my oily hair and was equally satisfying to my niece's dry hair.

The worst part of this company is that they keep sending you product, and charge you without your authorization, even order had been cancelled for a while. They starts that whole new shipment again (they only shipped the first shipment and they want to charge you for all shipments). That is their trick.

Had to send in 47 pages from bank statements to prove as their computer showed only one payment so I had to prove it in writing from RBC and VISA.
Done that. Now running around all day with different numbers to call each day, start story again. Good thing post office made them sign for it because at first said they didn't get it but had it traced and signed for so yes they got it. Now today been given head office number. They said to give till Friday for them to go over all paperwork I sent in. I informed the bank, Visa, etc. All told me to make copies for lawyer if needed so informed Wen this is done if no refund soon. I've been using Wen for a couple of years. Nothing else. I wash/condition with it and use a dab as a leave-on conditioner before it dries. My hair is without question THICKER, SHINIER, FULLER and SMOOTHER than it's ever been. I've grown it to the middle of my back with great thickness clear to the ends. People sometimes comment on how healthy my hair looks. I've recommended it to 3 or 4 others who also now use it and like it. I am very upset with the way Wen masks its shipment renewal pricing by not stating the total charge. It was not until I called to customize my shipment for my next cycle that I was informed that the "confusing" language meant I would be charged $101 at $33 every month for three months every time I receive a shipment under the frequency I chose. I am pretty sure I am not the only person that has felt misinformed and almost duped by the wording and phrasing of the renewal language. I will no longer recommend this product to all those that have commented on my hair and will research another method that is upfront about their pricing.

I have been using Wen religiously for the past five months. I honestly love the way this product makes my hair feel. After a colorist fried my hair (and I made it worse by heat-styling to hide the damage), I didn't think anything could save my hair. I cut off as much damage as I could, but the problem was, she fried my crown. We cut the crown to the middle of my head all the way around, leaving me looking like a mushroom. My ends were so damaged, they looked like the ends of a broom or steel wool.
I gave Wen a try and instantly fell in love. After the very first wash, my hair was back to feeling silky and smooth. I was destined to be a Wen girl and stopped purchasing the small bottles from Sephora and went straight for the 16oz. With Wen you must use the specified amount and it is best to wash everyday or else you'll notice oil and dandruff build-up (and no, I did not have dandruff prior to using Wen). It will become a quite substantial investment depending on the length of your hair. Still, it was commitment I was happy to make, until...
My hair started falling out! I read numerous reviews about people losing their hair when using Wen. I did notice an increase in fallout almost immediately, as early as the second or third use. Losing more hair than normal was a small price to pay for the wonderful silky locks I had each day. But last week an entire clump came off in my hand!!! It's as if I cut an entire inch section off my head. No exaggeration; I could have stitched this piece together and made a hair extension -- there was that much hair. I was mortified!!!
I had such great results that I almost purchased Wen for my sister, mother and daughter. I'm am thankful I procrastinated. I really thought I'd be a Wen girl for life and was so happy to have found a product that actually did what it claimed. I do not have sensitive skin or scalp and have successfully used a myriad of products without issue my entire life. I am truly disappointed that Wen caused such a reaction which resulted in excessive fallout. Hopefully you won't have such a reaction.

Then few weeks later I got Extra Large shipment and noticed that I was charged again and then again. I called Wen and spoke to the representative about it. He said that he doesn't see any information that I canceled the subscription!!!
I AGAIN asked him to cancel it and send me confirmation e-mail. He send me the confirmation via e-mail this time. In the past I used an expensive product for fine hair and compared to that, WEN is a bargain. Not to mention the fact that my daughter has been using it as well without me having to purchase additional product. I think the amount they recommend to use is a little heavy but again I have very fine, medium length hair so it might just be too much for me. I did not open the box. I called the toll-free number and told them I did not like the product and I did not order additional product nor did I prescribe to any automatic product plan. WEN sent me a "return label" which I applied to the package and returned the package to the UPS. I since received two outstanding invoices. Each time, I called the toll free-number and explained my circumstances and each time, a representative (who were very courteous) assured me the matter would be resolved. Then I received a "third" invoice saying I had an outstanding balance. So I called once again.
I should mention that when you call their toll-free number, you are put on hold for as long as 10 minutes. The first time I was put on hold for over 15 minutes. That's ridiculous! Today was my last attempt at resolving the issue and I was told by their online customer service rep that they would correct the problem. I should mention I had to wait on hold for more than 10 minutes again. I think they hope you'll just give up and go away. I'm not the type to bad mouth a product but this whole experience left a real bad taste with me. The product did not perform the way they say it performs. The wait time on hold to talk to a representative is ridiculous too.
Today I was told they don't send out replacement products immediately, they make you wait 4-6 weeks while they process your return, meanwhile charging you continuously. But the first shipment I sent back I had a replacement product sent out in 6 days, so I have no idea what's going on with this company or what their deal is. My second shipment that arrived has already been sent back to them, they should've sent out my third shipment immediately. I am putting a stop on all their credit card charges. I moved to a different state in October 2014 and had updated my email address for my Wen subscription service in November 2014 via the member portal on the company website. In early December 2014 I called to cancel my subscription altogether as a result of medical issues I am experiencing (cancer, being treated with chemo and radiation) that result in hair loss, and therefore I have no use for the products. I was informed that products had been sent to me already. I inquired where they had been sent because I had not received anything since August 2014. I was told they had shipped in early December to my old address in another state.
The representative acknowledged that she could see that my current address was on file and that she had no explanation for why products were sent to the wrong address. The CSR assured me that I would not be charged for the items since the company had erred regarding the address where they were sent and I had obviously not received the products. The CSR also told me that she would put me on a hold for the subscription service for a period of one year since I was in the midst of medical issues and would not need the products for at least that long.
On 1/31/15 I placed a call to Wen and spoke with a CSR named Mark because I had checked my bank account and was alarmed that there was a payment pending to Wen. I had checked my bank account and discovered that Wen had deducted $27.62 from my bank account on 12/23/14, $27.61 from my bank account on 1/5/15, and had a payment pending from my account in the amount of $27.61 on 2/2/15. This CSR told me that I would receive a full refund amount of $82.84 within five business days. I clarified with this CSR that by 2/5/15 I would have the entire amount refunded to my bank account, and was again told that I would receive the full amount in my account by then.
Today, I checked my bank account and found that I received a refund of $7.99 from Wen on 2/3/15 and that there were no other refunds pending. My refund was $74.85 less than what it should have been. This company has repeatedly lied to me in telling me I would not be charged for items I did not receive, yet turned around and charged me anyway. This company lied again in telling me that I would receive a full refund and then only refunded $7.99.

OK here's goes simple as this. Went to website, ordered the WEN care products as featured, Nowhere in the site did it say ANYTHING about reoccurring payments. IF it said that, I WOULDN'T even bother!!!! I thought it would Be just a typical site you order, you pay, you get your goods shipped. Nope, when the package arrived, I admit, I was happy but honestly, the statement that came along with it, you know, saying what I ordered and so on. I admit I didn't look intensely at the statement because like I said, why should I have any worries when the website didn't say anything about paying extra $. The only thing at the top was every time you wanna order, you get 25% off, so I'm like cool.
Days pass now, it's a month, I check my bank. Mr. Dean, you took my $, you should be ashamed. I know you didn't directly do it but someone did. Next month, same damn thing. I got heated and called, and the rep on the phone tried to convince I ordered the wrong products since I got curly hair, so I agreed stupidly!!! I went back to the statement, guys and gals, always read everything even if there's no probs. Cause on the statement, it says something about charging me 3 times then after that, every 90 days, some crap like that. I called them back, told them don't want nothing from them no more, so the rep says "we will send a mail back request". So it sure took them awhile and when they finally send it, it was a small little paper. Luckily, I didn't lose it, I packed all there products up, sent it back.
About a week later, I just checked my bank, I got 2 pending transaction from the amount I was guessing it was Wen. So I called, it's pending but when that's all straight around 70 cash will be back in my account? Oh I forgot to tell you, I wrote all over that statement and circled the next bill date and wrote, I, and my name, DO NOT AUTHORIZE. I also wrote, YOU DON'T HAVE MY PERMISSION HAHA!!!! I was so mad, I wrote other things also. I should of made a copy but i did that cause they played me!!!!! I wanted them to know how serious I was, their products don't do what they say, and on TV, they can make Everybody look hot 'n' good, gorgeous, whatever name you wanna use!!! So for me, I'll find something else. To the ones who love Wen, well remember, what works for you doesn't always work for everybody else!
And yes, I think Chaz is a fake wannabe but kudos to him, gotta make your $. People always will be divided, some like it, others don't!!! I just decided to write what happened when I ordered Wen. Oh well, I'm lucky my $ is being refunded. The last lady I talked to was nice, didn't ask no questions. She could tell probably from that invoice statement that maybe getting into it is a waste of time, so that convo ended nice and quickly. So I hope this is the end of my Wen experience.
OMG, I just can't believe it. If you look, there's so so so many complaints. What a shame Chaz Dean, get your priorities straight!!! But like I said, you got $. My question is, do you even care. You know when people get or make a lot of doe, their head swells. Well, whatever, still think you should get on TV and apologize to the ones you wronged!!! Ok I should stop there! Way too many Chaz Deans out there, and I'm sure, it's all about the Benjamins to them, how much success, and whatever else they can suck out of us people!!!! I sent back a shipment after being enrolled in a membership without my consent or knowledge, and WEN is denying that they got the return, are continuing to charge my card, and refusing to rectify the situation. I would strongly advise against getting involved with this company.

So I thought it was over, but 3 months later another order. I called, then 3 months later another order. I canceled my credit card so they would stop charging me. Then they threatened-- WHAT!!! They said because my card was declined, duh!! I literally had to close a credit card. Now today I received another shipment. They are corrupt, dishonest, and a scam.

What seems like a good deal when you purchase the 29.99 package with free shipping and then what I thought was $30 every month unless I cancel turns out to be almost $200 for when I cancelled and I have only received the small basic kit and one extra large supply. THREE monthly payments of 29.99 for each box, that's $90 per box plus the 29.99 for the first box. So how do they get a total of almost $200 charged to my card? I SAY RIP-OFF.

I thought that it must be a mistake but eventually the charges for these shipments showed up on my credit card bill 3 months after I 1st ordered. I called the company after not being able to cancel thru the website (that I could order from all day) and got the news that I would be billed for one more additional shipment. I argued that I didn't want any more product so I shouldn't be charged but after going round and round, I decided that paying $44+ was worth finishing this hassle. Products are available at stores...I suggest buying there rather than going thru the ordeal of the on-line hassle. Very disappointed in their customer service!

I ordered my wife a package from Wen for Christmas. Today I got a second package from Wen that I did not order. The invoice stated that I was getting replenishment orders for the product I ordered in three payments of $44.94. I called customer service to explain to them I did not order this product from them. They told me I could return the product but would still be responsible for the $15 shipping and handling. $15 for a product I did not order. They also gave me the option to accept this order for the 44.94 and take the next order for 20.97, and then they would cancel the 3rd shipment. So they would charge me 65.91 and I would get something, or 15.00 to ship it back and I get nothing.
I have ordered products from this company several times in the past but will never do business with them again. I strongly recommend no one do business with them if they are going to be deceitful in this way after the high prices they already charge you for the products.

I have been using Wen for almost 3 years now, mainly because I thought I was doing good for my hair. For the past month, I have been losing my hair by the handfuls. I have tried quite a few of the fragrances, and actually liked the shampoo. I had an operation in September and was told that my hair loss could be the result of that. But four months later is quite a stretch. My hair is long and thin in the first place. Now I can't brush it without the brush being full of hair and strands coming out just by touching my hair. I am done with Wen. Now I only hope my hair stops falling out and that I don't go bald. Scalp has been extremely itchy for a long time, but I chalked that up to the heat in my house. So, I decided to try Wen hair products because I live in a VERY dry climate that was ruining my hair. After receiving the first shipment, I decided it wouldn't work for me. I called and cancelled, in which I was told that another order was already being shipped to me, and that they would cancel my account but in order for me to receive a refund (minus shipping & handling) I would have to return the last set of products that were currently on their way to my home. After two weeks of waiting, I never received the products and discovered that my account had been charged for a third time! I called, extremely upset, and told the "customer service" agent that not only have I already called to cancel, but the last so called shipment that I was waiting on never got to my house. They apologized and assured me that he had cancelled my account this time, and that my account would be sent to billing to be reviewed for a refund. I was told to expect a call within 2-3 days. Never heard from them, called a few more times, same response of the billing dept getting back to me.
My last straw (granted it should have come MUCH earlier) was when my account was charged for a 4th time! Still not receiving anything but the very first order I called and had to scream at the "customer service" agent, who then assured me that I would be cancelled. I told him that I wanted proof, and that my account in which they were using was immediately cancelled due to their stupidity. He then transferred me to a department dealing with refunds (I was told they were not the billing dept) and they told me they would have to do an investigation on the products and if they discovered that the fault was theirs, I would be refunded. Now, they asked for my current account information to issue a refund if it was awarded, and when I refused to give that information the gentleman told me a check would be issued to me and sent to my home address. Well... that was back in the beginning of October 2014 and several calls later, and still no refund... I'm still waiting!
At this time they are claiming they have issued a refund to my no longer existing account and a check was sent to my home for the shipping and handling. I have received none! And because their "billing department" seems to be nonexistent, they're claiming that the only way I'll receive my refund now is if my bank faxes them a letter stating that the refunds were never put in my account AND that the said check that was supposedly sent, was never deposited. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE THIEVES!!!!!! Over $130 dollars and time and energy!!!! As this was an online transaction, I have my bank statements showing the money taken out, but no receipts.

The thinner your hair is, the less I would use. WEN has an 800 # on the bottle that will answer all questions. They advised a friend of mine to use the fig one for her very curly hair. It felt greasy and weighed down. So I returned the product. I mailed it. It cost me around $12 because I mailed it back via certified mail to prove that I did in fact return the bottles. After using the sample product for a few days, I got on their website to cancel my subscription, but - alas - no way to do that without calling their customer service number whereby you receive a very pushy operator who attempts to avoid cancellation at all costs. I agreed to change my shipment to every 12 weeks thinking I would supplement my normal hair care routine with the WEN product every few days. When the 12 week shipment arrived, it was an enormous supply of products which I did not authorize to ship to me, and which did not include an invoice/inventory indicating what was shipped, the items' costs, nor the shipping charges or total. I called customer service again after seeing my credit charged twice (in amounts much larger than the initial product I ordered and agreed to accept in periodic shipments).
I was told I had to return the product first, then after 4- 6 weeks after receipt I would see the credit for the two charges already made to my account. They also said there may be another charge to my account in the meantime, because apparently, they can charge whatever they want since they don't send you anything to identify prices and total costs. I called and cancelled my account, and requested an email confirmation of the cancellation along with an invoice/inventory of the shipment and costs. I never received it. I emailed their customer service requesting the emailed confirmation of cancellation and the invoice. Told me the address for return was on the packing order but that was incorrect when I repeated it for confirmation. In the end they did give me instructions grudgingly - like pulling teeth. So just to be sure, I called my bank to let them handle the cancellation as a dispute. DON'T BUY THIS PRODUCT - it will ruin your hair!!!! And the company isn't pleasant to deal with - you will have to force them to cancel and return your money.

Well let me start by saying that I used to have very thick full hair until I used this "Wen Fig" product. I started using this in the fall of 2013 and at first, noticed my hair getting shiny and easy to comb. I kept using this product until May 2014 when my scalp was getting itchy & I had a round bald spot on my crown. The doctor thought it was ringworm & gave me a cream to use daily. It looked like it was getting better and I didn't lose anymore hair. I started using the Wen again after a week of using the medicine and continued using it and my scalp was getting itchy & red and was falling out still. My doctor again thought maybe hormones & or my thyroid because I never thought it could be the shampoo!! Boy I was so wrong!!! I now have lost a lot of hair on my crown & have a large bald spot on the back of my head. I am going to sue this horrible product & its creator!!!!! I am in so much pain and have sores on the bald spots. I now have to comb my hair over the bald spots & I cry every time I look in the mirror. My dermatologist has put cortisone shots in my scalp, I am on clobetasol foam now too. So I am no longer using this garbage!!! Beware of this product and I am praying that my hair grows back. :(

I order the Wen products and actually really like them. However the scam they run with the charges are outrageous. They bill you "partial" amounts so you are in the hole with them immediately. So even if you cancel your order you owe them additional money. So you are stuck with either the hassle of returning the products if you haven't used them, or paying an additional amount of money after you've cancelled. They will try to convince you to stay with them at a discounted amount which still makes no sense. However, it does confirm the whole racket is a SCAM!

They claimed we requested to be placed on auto-refill which we did not, and we told them to stop charging our credit card. We thought they would be the end of it. They did NOT listen and charged our card again in December. We called them again, & now they claim that we agreed to a 3-month supply. They offered to take 20% off the existing bill as long as we make one more payment in January. This company lies to customers and will charge you hundreds of dollars without your authorization. I had been contemplating trying this product for about a year now. So, I finally made the decision to try the product. I was excited about trying this since I had read ALL the reviews (good and bad). The first day, my hair was fabulous. The second and third days though, I noticed that it looked a little greasy on the top. I read all the tips from other people who were using it and I also called their information helpline. They were extremely helpful. It turns out I was not letting it "froth" (it gets plump when you add a bit of water and massage it in) nor was I rinsing it all the way out. I did exactly what everyone had suggested and I must tell you that I am definitely happy I decided not to throw in the towel. This is a phenomenal product and I can't wait to see the coming transformations to my hair!

I wish I had done more research or read closely before ordering this product. I can't say that much about the product because I did not use it long enough. Once I noticed that my hair became dry and brittle, I stopped using it after 2 or 3 shampoos. But, then about a month later, I received another box from Wen with 3 large bottles of shampoo and a charge to my credit card. I immediately repackaged and returned the unwanted bottles and canceled any further shipments. But, it was almost $12.00 to return the product and when I called to determine how much I would be refunded, it was about $11 short of what was charged to me. Wen customer service claimed state taxes could not be refunded because they had already been paid - surely not! I considered sending back the first shipment even though it had been opened and used. But, again the cost to return and the deduction for taxes make it not worth the effort. Down the drain it will go and I have learned a valuable lesson. I do not know how they manage to stay in business.

I decided I would like to try the Wen hair care system by Chaz Dean. I went straight to their website and put in my order. The billing statement I was sent was entirely blank. I did however receive 2 emails both of which had different transaction numbers. I checked my bank account and sure enough I had been double charged. My 1st attempt calling the company I was told that I didn't "exist" in their system so to call back. I awaited the 24 hours I was requested to wait. In the meantime I was charged another $41.95. When I called back I was yet again told that I didn't "exist" in their system. I mentioned the charges made to my account again to which then I was told my order was on "back order. " No one could answer as to why I had now been charged 3 time's for $41.95. I called my bank and inquired if there was anything they could do. They reversed the charges.
The same day my bank reversed the charges, Wen auto charged me again for $41.95. I called Wen yet again to be told that I don't "exist in their system." I again questioned the charges to which I was given the same answer. NOTHING. Two days ago I was charged AGAIN for $41.95 by Gunthy Ranker. I contacted my bank again regarding this matter to which they would reverse the charges and was suggested that I cancel my debit card and get a new one with a new number to which I decided would be a good idea. In the meantime however Wen charged me two more transactions for $41.95. Calling Wen again I was told that I didn't "exist in their system and to call back." Upon waking up this morning Wen charged me yet another $41.95.
I called Wen again and was told that I didn't exist in their system. I told the sales Rep yet again that I must exist somewhere as Wen has charged and taken $41.95 times 8 to which she adamantly told me "I am mistaken." She also told me she couldn't find me in her system. I gave her my card number and asked her to look that up. Suddenly her answer changed to "you've been shipped your order." To which I replied how is that possible considering by your own word's that I not only don't "exist " in your system so how would you know where to ship my order to? Her only answer was that my so called order had been shipped and the newest charge is for the next "auto ship."
For lack of knowing what else I could say or ask to get any solid answers I told the sales rep that not only do I want my money back for the charges my bank has yet had time to reverse and I wanted to cancel my subscription with Wen. I was given this number to FAX my bank account statement to: 1-515-284-6745 and she REFUSED to cancel my existent or non-existent, I'm still not sure which, account with Wen.
I was told to try the products first. I said that at this point even "IF" I do receive the order I want to cancel the auto ship anyway and with all due respect this experience has been a nightmare so I want nothing to do with Wen after today. The sales rep yet again refused to cancel my account with them. I asked if there is a specific number I could call to cancel my so called account. The sales rep apologized and said "No."
So now I am at a total loss of what to do except to cancel my debit card after some of my regular payments for utilities extra are taken from my account which by the way some of which will bounce due to all of the charges to my account from Wen. This has been a true nightmare since December 1st of this year and I am at a loss of what else to do. What I do know, is NEVER order directly from Wen if you wish to try this product! Go to eBay, Sephora or anywhere besides the actual Wen website.
Hopefully my nightmare of a experience with Wen with help others who hopefully read what I have written. As for me, I am going to search for a way to cancel my so called account with Wen until I can cancel my debit card.

I have been using WEN (primarily the lavender) for over a year now. I have baby fine, straight hair which has been oily most of my life, so I was surprised that I really liked how WEN worked on my hair. It made it fuller, less damaged, and made my color last longer. Sounds good, right? Until I started to notice my hair getting thinner, to eventual bald spots and having to comb-over and heavy spray to cover them up daily. Also, I went from washing every other day to washing every day because the bald spots could only be minimized with clean hair. I cleaned out my drain in the shower and found a tennis ball sized lump of hair!! I was thinking this must be age or stress related, until I Googled "WEN and hair loss", only to find out there were many complaints about severe hair loss and a class-action suit against them from people who had major problems with balding from WEN!!
I got suspicious when I was scratching my scalp and found some clogged follicles, like blackheads, and I'd never seen that before. It appears from what I've read that this is not permanent and using apple cider vinegar rinse may help clear out the clogged follicles, but I wrote this review immediately after figuring it out, so that others will know of this risk. Before buying this product, Google WEN & hair loss, so you understand what could happen. A lot of people love it, and I thought I did too, but this price is too high for me.

The gallon lasts exactly 6 months for me. My hair is Smooth, Soft & Very Healthy! I use to flat iron my hair. For anyone who has used a flat iron for any length of time knows that the transition from using it & not using it is Horrible. Without using the flat iron your hair is dry, brittle, frizzy & very hard to style. Even though you know it's not good for your hair, you have to continue using it in order to manage your hair. The WEN made my transition a lot easier than when I used store bought shampoo. Even my color lasts a lot longer. I am 110% satisfied with this product & will Never touch my hair with any other shampoo.

I tried Wen almond mint hair care products plus travel kit for 39.95. Now Nov 12 I get another Wen hair care pkg I did not ask for and they billed my credit card for another 39.95. That's so wrong. I called the customer service. Now they say it's going to take 3 to 4 weeks to credit 39.95 back to my charge account. Now they have my credit card info. I feel robbed and ripped off!! I wish I had never tried Wen at all!! Very unhappy!! I'd advise not ordering wen. It's not worth it!!!

I'm very upset and have cancelled all my shipments. My scalp is horrible and worse than it was even using them oil. I'm disappointed and very upset because the results changed over night. I waited a long time before buying this product. Sorry Chaz.

They have horrible customer service! Every time I called, I was rushed and my concerns were avoided and never really addressed. I bought Wen and I soon realized that there wasn't anything special about it. It worked worse than my previous hair care product for triple the price. I called to cancel the product and payments but was continued to be charged. When I called customer service, I was told it was the last payment I would be charged for. Well what exactly are you charging me for when I've already paid for it??? All in all, I do not suggest buying Wen for anyone because no one deserves to not be valued as a customer.

Because I am hypothyroid, for years I have had some hair loss. Since using WEN, it has gotten progressively worse and I have seen my endocrinologist repeatedly for help. Since my thyroid levels have remained good we considered the idea that I am 54... or stress... other things that could have caused it. NEVER did I consider that it could be WEN. Not until someone mentioned to me this past weekend that their (obvious) balding was the result of WEN - and that they confirmed that there were numerous complaints about this all over the internet. I googled and found she was right. Now, I do believe that my substantially large amount of hair loss with every shampoo - and in between shampoos - is due to my use of WEN. I am so thin on top now and somewhat down the sides of my head (thankfully just down a few inches) - but the thickness of my hair is gone. Wishing I knew all this before...

I bought WEN for the $29.95 price. It either dried my hair out like straw or it made it really oily. Needless to say for that price I was so disappointed in using nothing but conditioner to wash my hair. It is just as easy to go to your local drug store and buy the same product for $6.00. I would not recommend making Chaz Dean or Guthy Renker rich by buying this product. If you buy the product and do not like it, good luck on getting your money back!!!! They will sell you every sales pitch in the world and by the time that they are done with that you will completely forget that you want your money back. In other words, go to your local WalMart or drug store and get the same as what you are going to pay $29.95 for.

I started using Wen in the springtime. By summer I had noticed significant hair loss. It was coming out in handfuls in the shower and when I would brush my hair. My hair had become significantly thinner as well. I had not heard or known anything of Wen causing hair loss so I did not make the connection until a friend warned me about it. I didn't believe that a shampoo could cause hair to fall out so I ignored it. I kept using the cleansing conditioner and continued to experience great amounts of hair loss. By the end of summer my hair was so noticeably thin that I considered getting a wig because I was no longer able to style it.
I decided to do some research and noticed there were hundreds of complaints from other people that had experienced hair loss using this product. Unfortunately I continued using the product through the fall and continued to experience great amounts of hair loss. At the end of October I decided that enough was enough and I stopped using the product. Since then, I have not experienced as much hair loss. I can only hope it will stop falling out and eventually grow back. I do not understand how this product is still on the market especially with all of the negative testimonials. I will never use Wen again.

As a person with thick, curly, frizzy hair I was looking for help. I watched an infomercial about Wen and liked it. I then went online to their website and found the "intro" offer with free gifts for $45.94. I ordered it and tried it. I noticed that my hair felt softer but I was getting a terrible buildup which was causing itching. I followed the directions. Anyway, I had decided that I just wasn't going to order anymore. This shipment was paid for on October 8th 2014. On November 4th, 2014, I logged into my bank account and what did I find? Another charge of $44.94! I immediately call Wen. The rep told me, "Your 2nd shipment has been shipped and you should receive it soon." I said that I never ordered a second shipment. He then says, "This charge is a pre authorization of your card for membership."
I then told him that I never signed up for a membership and that the only order that I made was the order in October which I received and paid for. He said, "Did you order online?" I said that I did. Then he said, "When you order online it says right on the website when you place the order that this is a membership and that you will be charged monthly and products shipped monthly." I told him that I never read any such thing and that I would like to cancel my account. He said, "Ok, I will send you a confirmation email."
Now, on November 5th (one day later) I finally receive the confirmation email. But there is a kicker.... It confirms that I cancelled my account but states that I owe a balance of $134.82! For what??? I have only received my intro shipment and it has already been paid. Plus, even if you count the 1st shipment that I received and already paid for in October plus this second shipment that I never ordered but was charged for that I have never received, that only comes to $90.88! Where are they getting $134.82??? This is insane!!!
Common sense does not occur with this company apparently. Why in the world would a person sign up for a membership with monthly shipments for a product that they have never even tried? I WILL be fighting these charges and retaining any necessary paperwork, emails, and even phone records to do so. My advice to anyone seeking out a hair product....shop elsewhere!!!

I was charged for a product order that I had already cancelled with the company. They shipped the order after I had been told the order was cancelled. On 11/1/14, I ordered a product from wen.com. Before I ordered, I was not made aware that it would be a recurring shipment. After I placed the order, I learned I would get a recurring shipment of the product. I did not want that, so I immediately called the customer service number to cancel the order and they told me it was cancelled and wouldn't ship. On 11/5/14, I received an email that told me my order shipped. I called customer service again and they said that they do not cancel orders even though I was told a few days earlier that my order was cancelled. I even spoke with the supervisor, who after many arguments, agreed to send me a return box and once I sent the order back in, they would then return my money. He said this is the only solution. I am not happy with that because I cancelled the order the same day and it should have never shipped. Now, I have to spend time and money to ship it back to them in order to get a refund when it should have never been charged or shipped in the first place.

Every time I have spoken to one of the representatives at WEN they have lied to me. The first one, "Charlie" (I'm sure that's not her real name...) told me that my 2nd shipment was $49.95 and no more charges are going to be taken until my next shipment. I asked her to make sure, because that's awfully inexpensive for what I've been given to understand is a very premium product. She reiterated that the 2nd shipment was only that one charge of 49.95 and that shipment was paid in full. Awesome, I was happy with that. Until today, when a 29.95 payment was taken from my account. It's too soon for my next shipment, so I call and speak to "Frankie" (also totally his real name...) who informs me that no, there is no 3rd shipment coming to me, he sees in the notes that I updated my frequency to 12 weeks, and that's too soon--this payment was part of the payment for the 2nd shipment. What?
I told him "Charlie" had told me multiple times that the $49.95 was payment in full for the shipment and that was the total cost of it. He apologized and said that no, it's $118 and there is one more payment to be made. I asked him if Charlie had written what she told me in the notes on my account. He said there weren't notes (so what notes did he just read before?) I asked why he was lying to me. He admitted there are account notes and what Charlie said is in there. But that is not the correct price and I still owe the money. Told him I would pay the last payment, but cancel absolutely everything, and do it right now, as both he and "Charlie" have now lied to me, making it so everyone at this company that I've spoken to has lied to me, so just cancel everything and give me a confirmation number. He assured me he had cancelled everything and I would receive an email. Sure he did. He just lied to me, I can't trust his word.
In summary, don't do business with these people. They lie for no reason! I have no idea what the price for a shipment of WEN is to this day, but I won't be buying it again. I will be calling in to make my last payment and make sure they have my account cancelled. Then I'm going to my bank to block any more money being paid to them. There was no reason in the world for any of them to lie to me. I'd still have a 12 week shipment and recurring payments to these people if they'd just not lied to me.

I ordered Wen in Jan 2014, a 90-day supply at $29.95. I liked the product but did not desire it after discovering I was being charged each month. I called the Company and cancelled. I returned the product but was not refunded. I called my credit card company to close my account as Wen continued to charge my account on a monthly basis. After speaking with them again, they denied I ever called or cancelled my shipments, "no notes in their system," and claimed they never received the returned boxes.
Unfortunately, there is nothing I can do but call it a loss as there was no documentation of me ever calling or cancelling and no product was received on their end. I was charged over $200 for a product I did not used nor have. Do not order from this Company, it is a scam! Anyone having a similar experience, I recommend that you close your account and get a new card, even after you cancel. Also, use the tracking number and save your receipts. If you call this Company, ensure you obtain the name of the person you are speaking to and document every incident and followup with your credit card company immediately.

I tried the product after having a lot of trouble with dry scalp. It worked decently well, but not as advertised. I was okay with the one shipment I ordered and would use the product, but not purchase again. There are many other products out there that work better for me.
They automatically charged me for a $90 shipment that arrived and I was surprised, as I didn't sign up for anything automatic and didn't order any more product. I called about the additional charges on my account and about this unopened, not ordered shipment. The woman told me too bad-it's auto enrollment when you order just once from them. She even HUNG UP on me during our conversation - without saying she was ending the call, without it being a heated call, and without a resolution. I have worked in retail, hospitality, and debt collection - all places were hanging up on someone without a conclusion or notice is unacceptable.
I finally reached a pleasant young man that gave me the address and account number to return the merchandise. I returned it with a tracking number and insurance - knowing that the customer service was not to par. I spoke with someone that was clearly in training or speaking to someone else because she was constantly muting the phone line. I asked why after 10 days of being delivered a refund had not been initiated yet. She told me it would be 4-6 WEEKS before I got a refund. I asked why. She told me that is because of the post office. I informed her clearly it has nothing to do with the post office. She finally admitted this is something like their company policy. She said I could provide proof of mailing to make it go faster. I asked how would that make a difference, she had no answer. She had no way to expedite the process.
This could be Chaz Dean's problem, this could be Guthy Renker's, but this is not customer service. This is deception. They are purposefully difficult to work with and have no pleasantry in their communications. They trick consumers into an enrollment of their services and hope people get frustrated to not return, especially because the consumer needs to pay return shipping. They claim to send a notice letter that if you want to cancel, you have to, otherwise they will continue to charge your credit card. My opinion is that this is fraud - they shouldn't be allowed to keep the credit card info and charge when they wish. The sad part is for the creator of this product, once I dealt with customer service, I liked the product less and didn't even want to use it.

Hello, and I hope my review helps you. I started using Wen in Jan 2014. I was given a bottle and fell in love. I then called and signed up through the infomercial. At first that initial offer was wonderful! I got all this stuff, I was like this is awesome for the cost, $39.99 because I got some additional products. When I initially signed up, I asked if every shipment was going to contain the same items as the initial. They told me yes! When my second shipment came, it had less items. I was ok, just thinking it must be the free gifts, and I loved how my hair was looking.
Then I started noticing additional charges on my credit card. So I called them. Just to make sure I am clear, this is my story of the infomercial customer service. I think it is run by Guthy-Renker. Their Customer Service is horrible. To explain that the charge is actually roughly $39 A MONTH, not every 3 AND you are now paying for shipping which was ridiculous, pissed me off. But again, I loved my results. So now I felt stuck... I was able to customize my order with the customer service and I would now receive the seasonal scent along with my other items. Next thing I know, I get two shipments and I am charged twice...
So I called them again... They told me to send back the extra shipment after they would send me a free shipping label in the mail. It took forever! I sent it back. Now I am waiting for the charges to be returned to my credit card. 1 month, 2 months, I called them, they said it would take 4-6 weeks after they receive the return. I was not happy... In the meantime I received my next order and it was wrong... I called them, and they sent me the items that were not in my order. Now during all of this, I found out that Wen was sold at a huge discount on QVC AND I could get items not sold on through the infomercial site.
I started buying items through them. They had kits and flex pays that the infomercial site did not. I was only keeping the infomercial subscription because I was getting the seasonal scents in my order. I was going to cancel after my fall scent came, and I called them to find out what scent they were sending since there were 3. They said that they were not doing a fall scent and I was going to get the original. I cancelled my subscription right then and there. I buy all my Wen from QVC. They are wonderful and the products I use which are the 6/13 line and the Fig.
I am a WEN Girl, I will never go back to regular shampoo and conditioners. It really does work. You must use it properly. Follow the recommendations and you will see the results. Bottom line to my story, buy from QVC if you want to try it. It won't break the bank. If you don't like it (not sure how), but their customer service is wonderful.

I never imagined I would have such a horrible experience with a shampoo of all things. I used Wen cleansing conditioner for about two months this past summer. At first I thought it made my hair softer but then the more I used it the more I noticed my hair looked extremely greasy even right after washing. I had greasy waxy buildup on my scalp even though I tried to carefully to rinse the Wen out of my hair properly. THEN I began to perceive that more than normal hair was falling out. I stopped using Wen about six weeks ago and went to my stylist about a month ago. She was horrified by how much buildup was on my hair and recommended a clarifying treatment which did succeed in getting the nasty Wen grease out of my hair.
However, I am still dealing with a bunch of hair falling out every time I shampoo and comb my hair. I can tell some of it is growing back as there are a lot of new short hairs coming through. Thankfully I had thick hair to begin with and I don't have bald spots like I've read from other people. I even tried commenting on the WEN Facebook page about my experience and instead of writing back to me they BLOCKED me and deleted my comment. They obviously know their product SUCKS and won't stand behind it to properly field complaints. I am sooo sorry I ever bought this junk and would love to see someone slap a suit on them.
