Product was great. I canceled due to customer service. Online system doesn't transfer (according to them) so changes online aren't reflected in their system. Customer service and billing unorganized/rude/pushy. Charged for and sent products unwanted after cancellation. Unknown charges for months. With lots of research I found a cheaper and more effective product that I use the same way. Shae moisture conditioner used as a wash and conditioning treatment is a better product choice (can find in stores like Walmart and target for $5-10).

First, I had trouble ordering online- the order form wouldn't fill in. While I was speaking to an (foreign) order rep, the order form corrected and with some difficulty I was able to fill it out. However, the order rep was very pushy about wanting me to order with her but I refused. I made a mistake with my billing address and was given no opportunity to correct it. When I called to correct or cancel, it was a complete joke. Finally, after many tries I was connected (again) with a Spanish speaking rep. After a few minutes he told me I had to call a different number for an English speaker. When I pointed out that he was speaking English, he hung up on me. What a scam.

I decided I would like to try the Wen hair care system by Chaz Dean. I went straight to their website and put in my order. The billing statement I was sent was entirely blank. I did however receive 2 emails both of which had different transaction numbers. I checked my bank account and sure enough I had been double charged. My 1st attempt calling the company I was told that I didn't "exist" in their system so to call back. I awaited the 24 hours I was requested to wait. In the meantime I was charged another $41.95. When I called back I was yet again told that I didn't "exist" in their system. I mentioned the charges made to my account again to which then I was told my order was on "back order. " No one could answer as to why I had now been charged 3 time's for $41.95. I called my bank and inquired if there was anything they could do. They reversed the charges.

The same day my bank reversed the charges, Wen auto charged me again for $41.95. I called Wen yet again to be told that I don't "exist in their system." I again questioned the charges to which I was given the same answer. NOTHING. Two days ago I was charged AGAIN for $41.95 by Gunthy Ranker. I contacted my bank again regarding this matter to which they would reverse the charges and was suggested that I cancel my debit card and get a new one with a new number to which I decided would be a good idea. In the meantime however Wen charged me two more transactions for $41.95. Calling Wen again I was told that I didn't "exist in their system and to call back." Upon waking up this morning Wen charged me yet another $41.95.

I called Wen again and was told that I didn't exist in their system. I told the sales Rep yet again that I must exist somewhere as Wen has charged and taken $41.95 times 8 to which she adamantly told me "I am mistaken." She also told me she couldn't find me in her system. I gave her my card number and asked her to look that up. Suddenly her answer changed to "you've been shipped your order." To which I replied how is that possible considering by your own word's that I not only don't "exist " in your system so how would you know where to ship my order to? Her only answer was that my so called order had been shipped and the newest charge is for the next "auto ship."

For lack of knowing what else I could say or ask to get any solid answers I told the sales rep that not only do I want my money back for the charges my bank has yet had time to reverse and I wanted to cancel my subscription with Wen. I was given this number to FAX my bank account statement to: 1-515-284-6745 and she REFUSED to cancel my existent or non-existent, I'm still not sure which, account with Wen.

I was told to try the products first. I said that at this point even "IF" I do receive the order I want to cancel the auto ship anyway and with all due respect this experience has been a nightmare so I want nothing to do with Wen after today. The sales rep yet again refused to cancel my account with them. I asked if there is a specific number I could call to cancel my so called account. The sales rep apologized and said "No."

So now I am at a total loss of what to do except to cancel my debit card after some of my regular payments for utilities extra are taken from my account which by the way some of which will bounce due to all of the charges to my account from Wen. This has been a true nightmare since December 1st of this year and I am at a loss of what else to do. What I do know, is NEVER order directly from Wen if you wish to try this product! Go to eBay, Sephora or anywhere besides the actual Wen website.

Hopefully my nightmare of a experience with Wen with help others who hopefully read what I have written. As for me, I am going to search for a way to cancel my so called account with Wen until I can cancel my debit card.

When I first started using Wen I noticed very small amounts of my hair in the drain. I know that we shed hair everyday but as of Dec 10, 2014 I had a lot of my hair in the drain about a handful. As I started to comb my hair I had more hair in my hand which a total of a good handful and a half of my hair. I always use salon products and never had this happen! I went to google Wen's website, I noticed I wasn't alone as there are many other women having the same complaint. Wen products should be banned from being sold!!! Wen products are nothing but a rouse and being sold as top of the line hair products, lol!

It was okay the first time I used it, but after that, my hair was greasy and it was difficult to get out of my hair. I called and told them to discontinue my account with them and the lady I spoke with did everything she could to try to tell me not to cancel. That I was using the product wrong. It was ridiculous, but I stuck to my guns and my orders stopped. I will never use this again or recommend it.

Now I get a notice from bank that they have send again yesterday. Customer service agent was not helpful and proceeded to tell me how to order auto delivery like I didn't know. He started talking very fast. They said I could only get refund by returning product. Now I have to return the product and wait for a refund. Very unhappy. I could never use the product enough to order again and that is why I didn't order auto delivery. I feel they could have cancelled and not sent as QVC does when something is ordered.

I have been using WEN (primarily the lavender) for over a year now. I have baby fine, straight hair which has been oily most of my life, so I was surprised that I really liked how WEN worked on my hair. It made it fuller, less damaged, and made my color last longer. Sounds good, right? Until I started to notice my hair getting thinner, to eventual bald spots and having to comb-over and heavy spray to cover them up daily. Also, I went from washing every other day to washing every day because the bald spots could only be minimized with clean hair. I cleaned out my drain in the shower and found a tennis ball sized lump of hair!! I was thinking this must be age or stress related, until I Googled "WEN and hair loss", only to find out there were many complaints about severe hair loss and a class-action suit against them from people who had major problems with balding from WEN!!

I got suspicious when I was scratching my scalp and found some clogged follicles, like blackheads, and I'd never seen that before. It appears from what I've read that this is not permanent and using apple cider vinegar rinse may help clear out the clogged follicles, but I wrote this review immediately after figuring it out, so that others will know of this risk. Before buying this product, Google WEN & hair loss, so you understand what could happen. A lot of people love it, and I thought I did too, but this price is too high for me.

I had been watching the infomercials on tv and the ones that would pop up on my computer and whenever I watch QVC which is quite frequently. But I called his salon to ask which product to use for thinning hair and I reached his voice mail. Left my name and number and a short reason why I was calling, hung up and within an hour I received a call back from Chaz Dean Salon in CA. They were very professional and answered every question that I had before paying $60 plus s&h for a 32oz bottle and that was 8 or 9 yrs ago. My hair has never been healthier and I honestly start to panic when I get low on one of my favorite scents/product whatever you want to call them. There's just no need to try to beat this guy and his salon down simply because he's just that busy. Have some patience and someone will get back to you.

I cancelled receiving shampoo shipments in October. I didn't realize when I had first ordered months before that I was placed on an automatic refill program. In any case, I called and closed my account and informed the representative I was returning the October package for a full refund. She tried to get me to keep it, offering a discount, and I said "NO!" as I have too much already. I returned the package via UPS and have proof of delivery back to WEN in October.

They charged my Amex card again in November and December. I called back and was told that they see I decided to "keep" the package and told the previous rep that I wanted to pay at the discount price. I NEVER AGREED! I SAID "NO!" Plus, they have the package, as it was returned! So I asked immediately to speak to a supervisor who says he will put in for a full refund that will process in 3-5 business days. This company has had my package since October and yet they kept charging me for it! That's fraud! I told them "NO" to accepting it at a reduced fee and they put the opposite into the computer system.

THIS IS SO DISHONEST and SHADY! Will NEVER deal with WEN again, nor will I use any of their products. I think they don't expect people to watch their credit card charges and try to slip it by the unsuspecting consumer.

In late October, I placed 2 orders with WEN by Chaz Dean via phone using my Discover card as payment. I placed 2 orders (one for me and one for a friend) for $29.99 (plus tax) (each) and shipping and handling was free. I was quickly talked into upgrading my orders to a larger size for $10 extra. I agreed to the onetime charge of $39.99 and was then transferred over to a supervisor who confirmed the order and amount to be charged. On November 1st, I received the two shipments of Wen Hair Care and immediately opened the packages only to discover an "invoice" with an amount of a $129.44 total.

I immediately called WEN and asked what this was all about. I told them that when placing the order, the amount was $39.99 not $129.44. They told me that I WOULD NOT be charged anymore until I receive more shipments. I then told them that I wanted to cancel the auto ship program and not receive any more product and that I am NOT paying any more than $39.99 as agreed upon when ordering. After reading the paperwork further, I noticed that they planned on taking a second payment $39.99 on or about 11/16 and a third payment on or about 12/14. I called them back again, and told them that they DO NOT have my authorization to charge my Discover card for anymore payments. They hung up on me and I believed that this was taken care of.

On Nov 14th and 18th, my Discover card WAS charged again by WEN for $39.99 each. I proceeded then to call Discover Card and told them about the unauthorized charges and began a dispute. I will continue to dispute these unauthorized charges by WEN and send a copy of this letter to the Attorney General, Federal Trade Commission, and Discover Card. I am certain that I am not the first person this has happened to when dealing with WEN. Wen’s Customer Service Department was horrible and no help whatsoever and seemed like they could care less. What they are doing should be against the law - charging more for product that is advertized for a certain amount and especially making unauthorized charges on my credit card. They have horrible customer service! Every time I called, I was rushed and my concerns were avoided and never really addressed. I bought Wen and I soon realized that there wasn't anything special about it. It worked worse than my previous hair care product for triple the price. I called to cancel the product and payments but was continued to be charged. When I called customer service, I was told it was the last payment I would be charged for. Well what exactly are you charging me for when I've already paid for it??? All in all, I do not suggest buying Wen for anyone because no one deserves to not be valued as a customer.

Because I am hypothyroid, for years I have had some hair loss. Since using WEN, it has gotten progressively worse and I have seen my endocrinologist repeatedly for help. Since my thyroid levels have remained good we considered the idea that I am 54... or stress... other things that could have caused it. NEVER did I consider that it could be WEN. Not until someone mentioned to me this past weekend that their (obvious) balding was the result of WEN - and that they confirmed that there were numerous complaints about this all over the internet. I googled and found she was right. Now, I do believe that my substantially large amount of hair loss with every shampoo - and in between shampoos - is due to my use of WEN. I am so thin on top now and somewhat down the sides of my head (thankfully just down a few inches) - but the thickness of my hair is gone. Wishing I knew all this before...

I bought WEN for the $29.95 price. It either dried my hair out like straw or it made it really oily. Needless to say for that price I was so disappointed in using nothing but conditioner to wash my hair. It is just as easy to go to your local drug store and buy the same product for $6.00. I would not recommend making Chaz Dean or Guthy Renker rich by buying this product. If you buy the product and do not like it, good luck on getting your money back!!!! They will sell you every sales pitch in the world and by the time that they are done with that you will completely forget that you want your money back. In other words, go to your local WalMart or drug store and get the same as what you are going to pay $29.95 for.

I started using Wen in the springtime. By summer I had noticed significant hair loss. It was coming out in handfuls in the shower and when I would brush my hair. My hair had become significantly thinner as well. I had not heard or known anything of Wen causing hair loss so I did not make the connection until a friend warned me about it. I didn't believe that a shampoo could cause hair to fall out so I ignored it. I kept using the cleansing conditioner and continued to experience great amounts of hair loss. By the end of summer my hair was so noticeably thin that I considered getting a wig because I was no longer able to style it.

I decided to do some research and noticed there were hundreds of complaints from other people that had experienced hair loss using this product. Unfortunately I continued using the product through the fall and continued to experience great amounts of hair loss. At the end of October I decided that enough was enough and I stopped using the product. Since then, I have not experienced as much hair loss. I can only hope it will stop falling out and eventually grow back. I do not understand how this product is still on the market especially with all of the negative testimonials. I will never use Wen again.

As a person with thick, curly, frizzy hair I was looking for help. I watched an infomercial about Wen and liked it. I then went online to their website and found the "intro" offer with free gifts for $45.94. I ordered it and tried it. I noticed that my hair felt softer but I was getting a terrible buildup which was causing itching. I followed the directions. Anyway, I had decided that I just wasn't going to order anymore. This shipment was paid for on October 8th 2014. On November 4th, 2014, I logged into my bank account and what did I find? Another charge of $44.94! I immediately call Wen. The rep told me, "Your 2nd shipment has been shipped and you should receive it soon." I said that I never ordered a second shipment. He then says, "This charge is a pre authorization of your card for membership."

I then told him that I never signed up for a membership and that the only order that I made was the order in October which I received and paid for. He said, "Did you order online?" I said that I did. Then he said, "When you order online it says right on the website when you place the order that this is a membership and that you will be charged monthly and products shipped monthly." I told him that I never read any such thing and that I would like to cancel my account. He said, "Ok, I will send you a confirmation email."

Now, on November 5th (one day later) I finally receive the confirmation email. But there is a kicker.... It confirms that I cancelled my account but states that I owe a balance of $134.82! For what??? I have only received my intro shipment and it has already been paid. Plus, even if you count the 1st shipment that I received and already paid for in October plus this second shipment that I never ordered but was charged for that I have never received, that only comes to $90.88! Where are they getting $134.82??? This is insane!!!

Common sense does not occur with this company apparently. Why in the world would a person sign up for a membership with monthly shipments for a product that they have never even tried? I WILL be fighting these charges and retaining any necessary paperwork, emails, and even phone records to do so. My advice to anyone seeking out a hair product....shop elsewhere!!!

I was charged for a product order that I had already cancelled with the company. They shipped the order after I had been told the order was cancelled. On 11/1/14, I ordered a product from wen.com. Before I ordered, I was not made aware that it would be a recurring shipment. After I placed the order, I learned I would get a recurring shipment of the product. I did not want that, so I immediately called the customer service number to cancel the order and they told me it was cancelled and wouldn't ship. On 11/5/14, I received an email that told me my order shipped. I called customer service again and they said that they do not cancel orders even though I was told a few days earlier that my order was cancelled. I even spoke with the supervisor, who after many arguments, agreed to send me a return box and once I sent the order back in, they would then return my money. He said this is the only solution. I am not happy with that because I cancelled the order the same day and it should have never shipped. Now, I have to spend time and money to ship it back to them in order to get a refund when it should have never been charged or shipped in the first place.

Every time I have spoken to one of the representatives at WEN they have lied to me. The first one, "Charlie" (I'm sure that's not her real name...) told me that my 2nd shipment was $49.95 and no more charges are going to be taken until my next shipment. I asked her to make sure, because that's awfully inexpensive for what I've been given to understand is a very premium product. She reiterated that the 2nd shipment was only that one charge of 49.95 and that shipment was paid in full. Awesome, I was happy with that. Until today, when a 29.95 payment was taken from my account. It's too soon for my next shipment, so I call and speak to "Frankie" (also totally his real name...) who informs me that no, there is no 3rd shipment coming to me, he sees in the notes that I updated my frequency to 12 weeks, and that's too soon--this payment was part of the payment for the 2nd shipment. What?

I told him "Charlie" had told me multiple times that the $49.95 was payment in full for the shipment and that was the total cost of it. He apologized and said that no, it's $118 and there is one more payment to be made. I asked him if Charlie had written what she told me in the notes on my account. He said there weren't notes (so what notes did he just read before?) I asked why he was lying to me. He admitted there are account notes and what Charlie said is in there. But that is not the correct price and I still owe the money. Told him I would pay the last payment, but cancel absolutely everything, and do it right now, as both he and "Charlie" have now lied to me, making it so everyone at this company that I've spoken to has lied to me, so just cancel everything and give me a confirmation number. He assured me he had cancelled everything and I would receive an email. Sure he did. He just lied to me, I can't trust his word.

In summary, don't do business with these people. They lie for no reason! I have no idea what the price for a shipment of WEN is to this day, but I won't be buying it again. I will be calling in to make my last payment and make sure they have my account cancelled. Then I'm going to my bank to block any more money being paid to them. There was no reason in the world for any of them to lie to me. I'd still have a 12 week shipment and recurring payments to these people if they'd just not lied to me.

I returned the product but was not refunded. I called my credit card company to close my account as Wen continued to charge my account on a monthly basis. After speaking with them again, they denied I ever called or cancelled my shipments, "no notes in their system," and claimed they never received the returned boxes.

Unfortunately, there is nothing I can do but call it a loss as there was no documentation of me ever calling or cancelling and no product was received on their end. I was charged over $200 for a product I did not used nor have. Do not order from this Company, it is a scam! Anyone having a similar experience, I recommend that you close your account and get a new card, even after you cancel. Also, use the tracking number and save your receipts. I tried the product after having a lot of trouble with dry scalp. It worked decently well, but not as advertised. I was okay with the one shipment I ordered and would use the product, but not purchase again. There are many other products out there that work better for me.

They automatically charged me for a $90 shipment that arrived and I was surprised, as I didn't sign up for anything automatic and didn't order any more product. I called about the additional charges on my account and about this unopened, not ordered shipment. The woman told me too bad-it's auto enrollment when you order just once from them. She even HUNG UP on me during our conversation - without saying she was ending the call, without it being a heated call, and without a resolution. I have worked in retail, hospitality, and debt collection - all places were hanging up on someone without a conclusion or notice is unacceptable.

I finally reached a pleasant young man that gave me the address and account number to return the merchandise. I returned it with a tracking number and insurance - knowing that the customer service was not to par. I spoke with someone that was clearly in training or speaking to someone else because she was constantly muting the phone line. I asked why after 10 days of being delivered a refund had not been initiated yet. She told me it would be 4-6 WEEKS before I got a refund. I asked why. She told me that is because of the post office. I informed her clearly it has nothing to do with the post office. She finally admitted this is something like their company policy. She said I could provide proof of mailing to make it go faster. I asked how would that make a difference, she had no answer. She had no way to expedite the process.

This could be Chaz Dean's problem, this could be Guthy Renker's, but this is not customer service. This is deception. They are purposefully difficult to work with and have no pleasantry in their communications. They trick consumers into an enrollment of their services and hope people get frustrated to not return, especially because the consumer needs to pay return shipping. They claim to send a notice letter that if you want to cancel, you have to, otherwise they will continue to charge your credit card. My opinion is that this is fraud - they shouldn't be allowed to keep the credit card info and charge when they wish. The sad part is for the creator of this product, once I dealt with customer service, I liked the product less and didn't even want to use it.

Hello, and I hope my review helps you. I started using Wen in Jan 2014. I was given a bottle and fell in love. I then called and signed up through the infomercial. At first that initial offer was wonderful! I got all this stuff, I was like this is awesome for the cost, $39.99 because I got some additional products. When I initially signed up, I asked if every shipment was going to contain the same items as the initial. They told me yes! When my second shipment came, it had less items. I was ok, just thinking it must be the free gifts, and I loved how my hair was looking.

Then I started noticing additional charges on my credit card. So I called them. Just to make sure I am clear, this is my story of the infomercial customer service. I think it is run by Guthy-Renker. Their Customer Service is horrible. To explain that the charge is actually roughly $39 A MONTH, not every 3 AND you are now paying for shipping which was ridiculous, pissed me off. But again, I loved my results. So now I felt stuck... I was able to customize my order with the customer service and I would now receive the seasonal scent along with my other items. Next thing I know, I get two shipments and I am charged twice...

So I called them again... They told me to send back the extra shipment after they would send me a free shipping label in the mail. It took forever! I sent it back. Now I am waiting for the charges to be returned to my credit card. 1 month, 2 months, I called them, they said it would take 4-6 weeks after they receive the return. I was not happy... In the meantime I received my next order and it was wrong... I called them, and they sent me the items that were not in my order. Now during all of this, I found out that Wen was sold at a huge discount on QVC AND I could get items not sold on through the infomercial site.

I started buying items through them. They had kits and flex pays that the infomercial site did not. I was only keeping the infomercial subscription because I was getting the seasonal scents in my order. I was going to cancel after my fall scent came, and I called them to find out what scent they were sending since there were 3. They said that they were not doing a fall scent and I was going to get the original. I cancelled my subscription right then and there. I buy all my Wen from QVC. They are wonderful and the products I use which are the 6/13 line and the Fig.

I am a WEN Girl, I will never go back to regular shampoo and conditioners. It really does work. You must use it properly. Follow the recommendations and you will see the results. Bottom line to my story, buy from QVC if you want to try it. It won't break the bank. If you don't like it (not sure how), but their customer service is wonderful.

I never imagined I would have such a horrible experience with a shampoo of all things. I used Wen cleansing conditioner for about two months this past summer. At first I thought it made my hair softer but then the more I used it the more I noticed my hair looked extremely greasy even right after washing. I had greasy waxy buildup on my scalp even though I tried to carefully to rinse the Wen out of my hair properly. THEN I began to perceive that more than normal hair was falling out. I stopped using Wen about six weeks ago and went to my stylist about a month ago. She was horrified by how much buildup was on my hair and recommended a clarifying treatment which did succeed in getting the nasty Wen grease out of my hair.

However, I am still dealing with a bunch of hair falling out every time I shampoo and comb my hair. I can tell some of it is growing back as there are a lot of new short hairs coming through. Thankfully I had thick hair to begin with and I don't have bald spots like I've read from other people. I even tried commenting on the WEN Facebook page about my experience and instead of writing back to me they BLOCKED me and deleted my comment. They obviously know their product SUCKS and won't stand behind it to properly field complaints. I am sooo sorry I ever bought this junk and would love to see someone slap a suit on them.

I also told the operator to move my account to every 20 weeks so I would not have too much product. She told me that I would have to Pay $44.39 for three months. The first payment would take place on June 16, 2014 and then one in July and the last payment would be in August. I would then receive another shipment in November. I kept asking the operator if she moved the shipping date and she kept saying yes, I would not receive another shipment until November. On September 5,2014 the WEN company charged my bank account $44.39 and put my bank account on a freeze since I did not have enough funds in my account because I was not expecting to receive any products until November. The WEN company has caused my account to bounce three different time costing me $152.39.

On September 11, 2014 I spoke with an operator named Jamie and she told me that she would refund me the $44.39 in 3 to 5 business days and still I have not received my refund. She also gave me their fax number to fax my bank account information so they can take a look at the bounce fee they caused my bank account. I finally received the return label to ship the unauthorized product back. That was also suppose to come within 3 to 5 business days and I received the label two weeks later. I also asked her to change my account to 20 weeks because the last operator or rep. did not do that. After I hung up the live chat with her, I check my account and noticed she did not changed the shipping date like I asked. So I found a way on my account where I can change it myself and I did change the shipping date to every 20 weeks.

Today September 25,2014 I received a letter from the WEN company reporting that they did not cause my bank account to bounce and they will not be paying me any money. I even wrote in my statement to them that if it was not for their unauthorized translation on September 5, 2014 my bank account would have never bounced and everything that was coming through would have cleared with no problems. The WEN company has stated that they could not find any transaction of my conversation on June 16, 2014 about changing my shipping date. If that is the case then I want to know how my product was changed from pomegranate to sweet almond mint. The conversation was on live chat and if I would have known I was going to have a problem with the company I would have printed the conversation. I want the company to refund me what is owed to me and that is $152.39.

I also have the SIXTHIRTEEN MOUSSE, I also do a argan mask once a week. And no hair loss. For me a great combo, I only buy what I need and not from the website.

I decided to try Wen by Chaz Dean about a month ago. I placed my first order and got the package in the mail and tried it for about 3 weeks. In that time, I did notice an increase in my hair coming out with every wash and even when I would comb (using a large tooth comb) after I would wash. My husband even commented on the amount of hair being lost. I did not wash every day but every other day and straighten my hair. I decided to cancel my account and send the entire package including welcome kit back to Wen. Partly because of the product and mostly because of the customer service.

The issue I had was that I could not log on to my Wen account online. After I placed my order it said that I was a non-member so I went to sign up using the email that I had used for my order and when I put all my information in because I got my account number it said that the email was already in use. So I tried the "forgot my password". It sent a temporary password to my email and yet when I put that in it still came up as a non-member. After receiving my package I tried again, with the same result. I would let it sit for a few days until finally I called customer service. The CS rep said that there was an update to the website and this could be why I was unable to log in that once it was updated I would be able to log on. So I gave it a few more days and still nothing (several temporary passwords later). I then sent an email and got a response that my information would be sent to the webmaster to be put in their system and that I would receive an email stating when everything will be updated so I can log in. An email I never got... which I sent back my original package.

I was finally able to log on to the Wen account. In which I noticed that there was another shipment on its way to my house (Again no email stating that a shipment was on its way and I wouldn't have known unless I was able to log in). I then called CS again and cancelled my account, explaining that I changed my mind and they wanted me to put things on hold for a few months, or take them up on a discount. I said no and if I wanted to use the product again I would just create a new account down the road. I informed CS that I would be sending the package that is on its way back as soon as it came and that nothing will be opened and I would like a full refund from my account. She informed me that it could take some time up to 4 weeks before I would get a full refund.

I work in customer service and this was a poor experience. The product is not all it is cracked up to be even though it did smell nice. I did not notice a big difference in how my hair felt from using my regular shampoo or Wen. But I was more disappointed with the customer service and not be able to log on to my account.

I actually loved the product. They quit making the one I used - cucumber mint. The sweet almond is too heavy for my hair. I have an oily scalp. I've tried the others such as pomegranate and lavender but only liked the cucumber one. I have to tell you though like most package deals unless you call to cancel you will be shipped and billed for more product - it's in the small print. As a consumer it's your responsibility to get all the facts. Any time someone offers a trial, the auto bill is in effect. I also must comment on my experience with customer service. Any dealings I had were awesome. They were always helpful and went above and beyond to help. It's a great product and the only reason I can't give a higher mark is that they quit carrying the one I used.

Their sells rep. told me this is what they do for all of their new customers and that's the only way I can receive WEN - but not to worry, I can easy cancel monthly shipment - just give them a call. After placing order I did some research, I know I should have done it before ordering any product and was shocked to read how many horrible reviews it had. Called back immediately but was told they can't cancel my order cause I'm not in their system yet and have to call them back next day. So I did and was told exactly same thing; "you are not in our system yet so please call next day". So I did. This time I was told it's already too late to cancel my order cause its in a shipping status and there is nothing they can do.

I said fine, since you guys have 60 days money back guaranty I will just send it back to you as soon as I get it. I also asked to cancel my monthly shipment and was told it's too late because I have sign up for 3 shipments for over $100 total!!?? I have never, never said yes to anything like that, I never agreed to pay over $100 in 3 installments!! I was so upset and asked to speak to a supervisor, she was nice and apologize and said they will only charge me $43.99 and cancel other payments and shipments and when I asked her to send me an email confirming our conversation she politely agreed. Since I haven't received email I called them today and what did I find out??? Nothing has been changed on my account, I'm still signed up for those 3 installments!!! WEN IS A BIG SCAM AND PLEASE DON'T SIGN UP WITH THEM AND DON'T ORDER FROM THEM!!!

I ordered this product Sunday night. They didn't say anything about auto shipment till the very end. They didn't want to listen to me that I wanted to cancel the account. The rep literally argued with me about trying the product out and if I don't like it I can call back to cancel. I spoke to my friend about this and she said she had the same problem with them and she had to close out her account at the bank because they keep debiting her account. I tried to call them yesterday, Monday 3 times and each time they hook up on me. Call the bank, CHASE Bank - the amount 29.95 was still in pending mode so the agent filed a claim for me and said someone will call be back about the charge. The agent that called me back was very rude, I explain to him about what happen and that I didn't want the merchandise and that I tried to call them 3 times yesterday and I didn't want the charge to go through.

He did call the merchant and I spoke to the merchant and told them that I didn't want the merchandise and to close out the account. She began to try to sell me on the idea that I needed to try the stuff out for about 15 min. and it became a yelling match. Asked to speak to a supervisor, same thing. I told them I don't want the stuff and I want the account cancelled. She said she couldn't stop the shipment, just return it when I receive it. And I told her I was going to refuse the package. But at the end of the call which the guy from the bank was still on the phone said he was going to let the charge go through. Not happy, you know where I will be in the morning. Closing out my chase account.

I started my journey into Wen in January 2012. Just call me "Miss Obvious". It worked fine for the first months. I ordered from Guthy-Renker and QVC. I never had any issues with Guthy-Renker.. in fact they asked a lot of questions when they became aware of hair loss. Anyways, back to my story. Used every formula but one.. it takes awhile sometimes for things to sink in, especially when Chas Dean is such a good salesperson.

Wen is all natural was my other reasoning. After months of trying to dent the fact of thinking hair loss I took a good look at scalp. I know you lose 100 hairs a day, but mine was coming out @ the roots. Yes, I used enough for bra-length hair.. 26-32 pumps. Yes, I rinsed good. Yes, I scrubbed hair with pads of fingers.

    It just didn't work!!!

Now, I am using phyto serum to boost hair growth, changed to Devacurl and Cantu co-wash. (Hoping to find something to help hair). Oh yea, my hair was always dry-looking and frizzy with Wen. One last thing about my hair - No longer color hair, very minimal hair products. Maybe mousse once a month. I ALWAYS air dry. I'm sure Wen works for some but use at your own risk.

Earlier this year, I ordered a test kit. It worked okay, then found myself in a membership situation. Then 30 days later, they sent me a large set, 3 16-oz bottles of cleansing shampoo, and three other bottles of product and charged my CC. I had received 2 shipments total and had received yet an ADDITIONAL 48 oz of Cleaning Conditioner that would last me for 2 years as I have short hair and only wash it every other day. Seriously, who uses this much product in 3 months? I called and said I did not love their product and did not want to receive so much product all at once. I asked to return my order, and membership but I was convinced to only put my membership on hold until September and was told they have an empty bottle guarantee so there would be no reason not to. Sounded okay.

I called in August to cancel my membership completely and asked to return the shipment. I was told I would receive an email with instructions, which I never received. In September I called again and was told there was no email that could be sent and the CS agent had no idea what I was talking about and gave me the shipping address to return to. So I gathered all my bottles together, 15 in total, and called to find out which I needed to return and which I was supposed to keep as my "free travel set" or free gift. I am now told that this is past the 60 day money back guarantee. I told the CS agent that I was convinced in May to NOT cancel and was promised I would be able to return with the "empty bottle guarantee". So now I am out $100 and have a bunch of product I do not use or like. EXTREMELY shady business practice. DO NOT EVER SIGN UP WITH THEM.

Customer Service says they have sent me 2 replacement shipments, which I have never received and they give me the same UPS tracking number for all 3 shipments. When I check this tracking number, UPS does not have it on file. I told them to quit blaming UPS and the Post Office. My hair became like hay. Where I used to be able to run my finger through my hair.. well no more. Even my husband commented on how my hair had changed for the worse. The kicker. At work it was noticed and a co-worker suggested I try Wen. I laughed and told her I already was and this was the result. I call the company and was told to give it a couple of months. I did. My hair got even WORSE. I called again and tried to cancel. I was talked into trying Fig "for Free." I gave the Fig a shot as they directed. No improvement. Hair was destroyed.

I had to have SEVEN INCHES cut off to take away the damage! Never in all my life have I had to do this! I called the company to definitively cancel this time and was told I could have no refund as it was past 60 days. So I spent approx. $150 on Wen and then another $180 to get fixed what destruction Wen did my hair. Wen's response? "Please give us 10 minutes of your time to fill out a survey, no we will not refund anything.. have a nice day." WARNING: DO NOT ORDER THIS PRODUCT. I used the Wen hair care line/system and was not happy with the results. When I ordered the products by phone, I specifically asked if the product would give hair more shine, the answer was yes. I then was asked if I colored my hair, and I said yes, so I asked "would it remove the color?" The answer was NO, and then the rep went on to explain that the product didn't contain detergents, sulfates, etc.... Well not only did it strip my color in about 2 washings, but it left my hair lifeless and WITHOUT any shine. So I was left with dull brassy flat hair and another $100.00 + trip to the salon. I am starting to think that this product is designed for young beautiful woman that really don't need any hair help in the 1st place, (but make for convincing TV models to help sell the product).

I give it two stars, because the over the phone help was so nice, friendly and respectful. I think, if they would show in their demonstrations, models that really NEED hair help, and tossed in a few "over 50" models it would make a big difference in the complaint category, because we probably wouldn't buy it. Also the 3 bonus surprise gifts that were supposed to come with my order? Never happened. I had to call, and received 3 of the same thing - all tiny samples.

A little over a month ago, I placed my first order. I like the product very much. Since I placed my first order, I have been trying to create an online account, which you'd think would be a simple process. The system would not let me create an account and kept giving the error message that the customer account already exists. I know it exists, but I want to create an online account to manage my account. The first customer service rep (CSR) took my email address and said I'd be able to create an online account with a password within 3-4 hours. The phone call lasted about 30 minutes, which was way too long for such a simple issue.

The next day, I tried again, and got the same message. I called customer service again, and after explaining myself to a CSR that seemed to be distracted, ignorant, you name it, at least 5-6 times, I had her verify my information, and it turned out that the previous CSR had misspelled my email address. After she said, "Jesus Christ," twice, about my email address being incorrect, she said she would correct it, and I'd be able to create an online account within 3-4 hours.

Also, I learned that a shipment had been sent to me 2 weeks previously. It was sent via UPS, which sent it to the post office to deliver to me. The post office apparently sent it to the wrong address, as I have not yet received it. I was told by the CSR, after she checked with "someone" for about 15 minutes, that I would be sent an affidavit to sign stating I had not received the product, and another shipment would be sent to me.

For some stupid reason, the company cannot, or will not, have UPS deliver directly to me instead of via the post office, although UPS delivers in my area and is more reliable than the post office. The entire call lasted about an hour (waste of my time). Well, you guessed it, I tried today to set up an online account, and I still couldn't. I called and got a 3rd CSR, who said she had no idea who I had spoken with and that she should have told me that would take 24-48 hours for me to be able to set up my online account. WHAT? I asked for a supervisor since I was tired of all the incompetence.

A supervisor, Elliott, read my email address, which had not been corrected by the 2nd CSR. I had him correct it (finger crossed that he actually corrected it), and he told me I'd get an email from their "offline team" within 2-3 hours giving me a temporary password to set up the online account. I told him that I am not going to keep calling them back to correct something that should be very simple, and I will cancel my account if it is not corrected today. I didn't even discuss the missed shipment with him since I was too tired at this point. I wouldn't be surprised if he had said he didn't see any notes in the system about a missed shipment.

From the comments I have read on this page, it looks like it's impossible to cancel without Wen continuing to deduct from your bank account. If I cancel (which I probably will), I will call my bank and have them issue me a new card number to prevent them from continuing to deduct. I'm not going to go through multiple phone calls with them and let them steal my money after I cancel. Apparently, people who like their product are better off buying it elsewhere, such as QVC, eBay, and Amazon.

My hair was dry and frizzy, just like the "before" models in the commercials. I had tried shampooing less often and using only a good sulfate free-shampoo and conditioner. I was using conditioner only in between shampoos but my thick, semi-curly dry hair was not responding. I don't even blow dry my hair so I don't understand.

Anyway, I tried Wen. And after a week or so my hair looked almost like the models in the "after" pictures, thick, shiny, hydrated and not frizzy. But I couldn't help but notice the handful of hair I'd have in my hands and all over my body in the shower after shampooing with Wen. I hoped it was just the sort of thing that happens when you switch products and continued using the Wen. Then I noticed that my hair had gone from bouncy and shiny to greasy and limp. The curl I had was completely gone. I tried lightening up on the amount of the product I used, the conditioning shampoo and all the other add-ons they don't show you in the commercials.

I was debating ordering the super conditioner that costs around $35-$40 as the ends seemed dry while the scalp seemed greasy, when I braided my hair and realized with horror that my braid was at least 1/2 as thick as it was before I started using Wen! That very day yet another shipment arrived... So I called Wen and told them that I was no longer interested in using their product. They asked why and I explained. They were nice and said that they would refund the last shipment to my credit card which I thought was a nice gesture. Imagine my surprise when they credited all three months back to my credit card.

They're good people. It's just their product made my hair fall out. And now with the help of my old sulfate-free shampoo, jojoba oil, prenatal vitamins and a drastically short haircut, my hair is beginning to grow again. I have baby hairs everywhere but it's going to take me years to undo the damage done by WEN.

What a mistake! Don't waste your time signing up for the monthly, 6 weeks, 8 weeks shipments! Please don't! You will be billed monthly no matter what! Then you will need to speak to an idiotic customer service person that will try to explain and say it was in the agreement. You will then fight tooth and nail to get refunded!

My scenario is a shipment every six weeks. I received a shipment last week and was charged $41.58. This week I am being charged $33.94 for the 3 month supply. What? I thought it was $41.58 per shipment! No! It's a three month supply with the payments broken up over the course of three months! The website is misleading like all the others for these types of product offerings. Shame on me for thinking it wouldn't be like this. Please if you must have this product, read the entire agreement in full. Understand you will be charged extra and it will be difficult if not impossible to get refunded. When UPS sent me a shipment notification, I was puzzled, because I hadn't ordered anything recently. I called UPS and asked who was sending me a package. They didn't know, and couldn't verify the sender's name. I called my credit card company and asked if my credit card had been recently billed, and they confirmed that. I asked who had billed, and they looked, and couldn't confirm the name of the company. All they could find was kind of cryptic..."gr-1". That was it.

After some googling, I figured out that it was Wen. I called them to ask why they were shipping again, and was told that I had agree to have additional product shipped. I told them I had never directly indicated that at all, and told them to cancel. I also told them that I was going to refuse the package. The customer service rep then offered me 20% off. It was then that I began to feel scammed. Wen did not email me about an upcoming shipment, nor did they identify themselves to my credit card company or to UPS. I figured that they didn't want me to know who was shipping, as that might generate an angry cancellation call from them.

I went back to their website, to see how they had gotten this automatic shipping thing by me, and noticed something immediately. On the page with the "order summary" is small print detailing the plan, with one suspicious looking feature. All the text on the "order summary" page is a dark black, all of it, except for the automatic shipping-billing clause at the bottom right corner... that text was a faded light gray. It is obvious to me that they chose to do this hoping your eyes would over-look it... which mine had done.

The evidence points to a company that is using questionable tactics to hook customers. They never actually ask you if you want automatic re-ordering, they merely mention it at the bottom of the "order summary" page... hoping you won't notice no doubt. I am refusing the package when it comes. I received an email confirmation of my "cancellation" from Wen, and a mention that I had a balance due of $89.00... which they would bill me for. Really? They are going to bill me for product I never received? I already paid 34.95 for the product I DID receive... which I did not care for. The bill for $89.00 will never be paid. This company is shooting itself in the foot by resorting to crafty tactics. I would never recommend a company that has such low confidence in its products. They must, or why wouldn't they just be straightforward with their customers?

I purchased a starter kit of WEN Hair cleansing/conditioning products by Chaz Dean. I used it for 30 days on my natural kinky hair. As an African American woman I was eager to find a product that would clean, condition and shine as the infomercial claimed. How disappointed I was! It took too much product to clean my hair. It never felt truly conditioned after it dried and there was no shine. When I called customer service to voice my complaint & request a refund & cancellation of future order, I was treated with verbal indignance bordering on hostility. It took numerous phone calls and an email and 90 days to get my money back! Horrible product and horrendous customer service!!

Again, never got it and e-mailed customer service. They said my account is on hold so they cannot send it and I should call again and be on hold?? This was their offer to me to keep me as a customer. I tried to allow them to fix this issue or cancel my account. They cancelled my account. Never have I seen a company so poorly run with this many inept people. I am a senior lady with very fine thin hair. When I saw the advertisement showing many women on TV using the product, I decided to give it a try. There was a coupon in a flyer showing the kit for $ 19.95, I decided to cut it out and use it. Two of my friends told me that they were also interested but they did not have the credit card that the company requires. Both friends have credit cards for stores like Sears, JC Penney and some kind of other dept. store. In a few days, I received one kit and then later I received another, then the last one. I gave each of my two friends their kits and they started to try the product.

The first time I tried it, I noticed on the second day my hair was flat and greasy. A friend of mine that used to be a hair stylist saw me and she asked me what had I done to my hair. She said I looked like I had the grease that you lubricate cars. When I heard her comment, I became very angry. My hair is no more than 3 inches all around. My two other friends said the same thing. I immediately called the company and told them that I did not want any more product sent to me, mentioning that my friends agreed also.

Surprise! Surprise! Only a month after I had gotten the original order, I receive 3 more boxes. It's impossible to use that much shampoo and conditioner in just a month. That amount would last most people three or four month using it every three days. This is a SCAM to make people stay tied to the product. Something should be done about this because they are getting rich by using honest, trusting people believing in the false advertising.

I had called my credit card company after the three kits were sent and I told them that in case more was billed to me, to stop payment. I spoke with a person from the company and I told them that I would not pay but that I would waste my money to have it shipped back to them. They expect me to pay for the last three kits and then they said they would give me a refund in 6 weeks. What kind of idiot do they think I am? Guarantee packages.

What they do not explain is that no matter how often or seldom you receive your auto-shipped order, you will be billed $29.95 per month, EVERY MONTH! Fortunately, I caught it with my starter kit and called to cancel. However, that has been over an hour ago and the promised e-mail confirming my cancellation has yet to arrive. I was quite certain the CSR (foreign) couldn't possibly have understood my e-mail address as it contains a "V," a "D" and an "N" letters difficult to understand over the telephone the first time. If I do not get the e-mail within the next 30 minutes, I will call back. I'll keep you updated.

I was very happy with the products but very unhappy with the auto shipping and the sketchy way they do it. As a result I'll never use it again, when if they were upfront about the process, I would have been a happy customer. If I ordered it once to try, why would I want 3 times as much shipped to me next time? Also why would I want to make monthly payments on hair products? You have no way not to select automatic billing and it was very unclear that I was signing up for subscription service. I had the chat help walk me through selecting products and they never mentioned it. Then did not get any notification that more products were being shipped again. Why wouldn't they email me the tracking into the second time or some notification so I could cancel? They emailed me the initial time. This is underhanded and bad business.

The product is great. The means of purchasing it is not. Twice I have signed up and twice I have had to beg them to let me cancel. Each time, I just want the ONE product, the cleansing cream, on a monthly basis. The cost is usually $29 per month plus shipping. The initial offer gives you free shipping. I realized I had not received my order for July and called. Turns out, for some reason, I was charged over $100 but never received the order. They said they had credited my account even though I never called previously, so I imagine it was just not delivered and therefore the credit. However, why was it not delivered? And why was it more than three times the price I signed up for? I told them just please cancel me and they did offer a nice discount but it just is not worth it to allow them access to my Amex card. Too bad they do not sell it at stores other than Sephora... There is not one near me. So I will not be buying that product again.

I have long, color treated hair with just enough natural curl to make it frizzy, It is thick and coarse. I usually don't have to wash my hair more than twice a week as it is not oily and doesn't look dirty very easily. In the past, I have tried everything on the market to straighten and style my hair. Some of the products I have used have worked well enough, but none could stand up to the humidity. I live in the South, where the humidity hovers around 90% most summer days. Most of the time during the summer, I have to pull my hair up in a pony tail or a bun because it is a constant battle between my hair and the humidity. Humidity is the undeniable winner.

I ordered the Wen Sweet Almond Mint Cleansing Conditioner, Re-Moist Intensive Hair Treatment and Styling Creme. After the first application of these products, I was sold. My hair was softer and shinier than it has ever been in my life (I'm 50!). It is summer time and the humidity is in full effect, but you can't tell by my hair! It has stayed straight and soft through high humidity and even some rain. The third time I used it, I did an abbreviated version of what the directions say, and I won't make that mistake again. I didn't leave the product on as long as is recommended and I didn't rinse with cool water and my hair was overly thick and frizzy. I just used the products for the fourth time yesterday and once again, my hair is soft, shiny and frizz-free. I will never use another product on my hair. I can see how Wen wouldn't be suitable for every type of hair, i.e., thin or overly oily hair, but for someone like me, with thick, coarse, frizzy, dry hair, it is truly a gift!! Thank you, Chaz Dean! You are a hair genius!!

My problem with WEN isn't the product itself but the company. I ordered WEN back in February 2014. I was satisfied with the product but after careful thought and review of my finances, I had to cancel. I call up, cancel, and think that's the end of it. The rep on the phone did say I could pick 3 products for only $24.95 a shipment and I was almost intrigued but then she slipped and said it's actually $75 something but you pay it in 3 installments. Hi, I finance a car and other things but not my hair. So I cancelled. Or so I thought. In May 2014, my credit card was charged for a shipment of WEN, which I never ordered. I called to say I cancelled in March and they noted that I had called at that time but no mention of me canceling. The rep said he would cancel my account. I asked for a letter sent confirming canceled (which I never received) and life went on. Now it's August 2014 and I get charged from WEN for a shipment and have to call and do it all over again.

I am extremely disappointed with the customer service. I don't know if they work on commission and earn points for every customer saved so that's why they don't cancel or what? Any who I canceled again, asked for a letter to be sent confirming I canceled, actually receive this time and it says I have a freaking balance of $134. What the front door!?!?! I call WEN and their records show it's ZERO and I ask for a new letter to be sent reflecting that. I don't even know where the $134 came from as my credit card was only being charged $44.95. I would be wary of doing business with Guthy Renker and/or WEN. You've been warned...

Also that I could not decline ongoing shipments when ordering online. What??? Anyway I cancelled and was sent a prepaid return label for the supersize kit that was on its way.

It took 26 days to receive a refund minus the $15 initial shipping fee for the $146 kit. I was treated fairly and courteously by customer service. However this is a predatory way of doing business. Whether or not the product is any good has been overshadowed by the hassle. We just wanted to try it out before having tons more of the fairly expensive product shipped. And I'm sure we are not alone. If this happens to you it is best not to cancel your check or dispute the charges to your credit card, but do call their customer service and follow their instructions. Okay here's the deal. I love WEN Hair System but the company is a rip off. I have used this product for a little over a year and will continue to use it on my entire family’s hair. That includes my 2 girls and my husband but I won't be purchasing it directly from WEN. Here is why: First, the system has to be used properly. Don't use it in the recommended way because your hair will fall out or begin to thin. Second, only use the cleansing conditioner and sixteen conditioner together once a week or your hair will become over conditioned. Third, don't use the cleansing conditioner daily. It will break your hair and make it thin or fall out from over conditioning. Fourth, if you use the cleansing conditioner, only use one of the other products like the texture balm or anti frizz. DON'T USE BOTH! If you do, using more than one product, your hair may become hard or frizzy or break or fall out and thin. Fifth, don't mix and match WEN with other products. The end result will be disastrous. Sixth, do not use the amount of recommended product, use half.

Now that I have gone through the don'ts. Let’s talk about WEN's pricing and business practices. Like I said this is an awesome product when used correctly. However I believe that WEN knowing recommends you use this product in a way that is dangerous and will damage your hair so that they make more money. If you are using the product the way that the company recommends you will run out of product within 3 months if not sooner. Which then WEN will mail you a new shipment automatically. I know you’re thinking well that’s great and the way that it should be. Well you’re wrong.

Take this into consideration: 1st WEN tells you that you will pay 29.99 for the first kit with a membership and then you receive a travel kit plus 2 bottles of cleansing conditioner, 1 bottle of the sixteen sampler. Awesome for the price. They tell you when you receive your second shipment you will receive 3 bottle of cleansing conditioner, 1 bottle of sixteen conditioner, 1 container of anti-frizz (or whatever product you choose) - all for the low membership price of 39.99. Wrong that is not true. Yes you will receive those products but no they will not be for the low price of 39.99.

This is how WEN gets you. First you will get a shipment with the items you choose and a charge of 39.99 which they tell you includes the shipping charge. However when you look at the website or the pamphlet they send you it specifically says any purchase over $100 is free, right? Wrong. See you think you just paid 39.99 and that is why you had to pay for shipping but that isn't true. 28 days after you get charged 39.99 for the shipment WEN will charge you another 29.99. Then 28 days from that charge you will receive another charge for 29.99 and by then it will have been 3 months so it will be time for another shipment. So within a couple of weeks you will see another charge for 39.99 and the process will begin again.

So you say to yourself where is the membership deal. There isn't one. You’re paying 99.97 every 3 months for WEN products that you don't need. In addition to the fact that in at least one month you will pay twice. If you use the products the way they recommend your hair will be damaged and will thin and break and fallout. If you try to use the products with other products, your hair gets worse. Which I think WEN intentionally did to make sure you stick with their line.

Not to mention that even if you cancel your order you will still get charged unless you cancel the order before the item is shipped. If not then you are responsible for shipping charges and they will continue to charge you every month unless you call and cancel and make sure they refund the money before it’s charged. Sounds confusing right but in their system it already has it set up to auto charge. So they must go in and refund those auto charges in their system and if you don't receive an email confirming the cancellation then your membership is not cancelled and you have no proof that you cancelled it, and again you will be responsible for upcoming charges.

So in short yes. WEN is a great hair product if used wisely and not the way the company recommends. However, unless you are willing to deal with the 99.97 charge over a 3 month period and being charged onto of the charge 39.99 because the scheduled membership mail out overlaps the monthly charge and the possibility that your hair will be damage if you don't find a good regimen and it may take up to an additional 3 months to actually cancel your membership, then I wouldn't recommend purchasing this product from WEN. Now if the product offer is as a one-time fee charge through another company or website then I say go for it. You will just have to play around with the product to figure out what’s best for your hair.

She stated the shipment would come every three months and that each shipment after the first would only be 29.95. The first shipment came, but it left my hair feeling dry, unmanageable and feeling like "straw". To the point where I had to use my old conditioner just so I could comb through it. Only after the second day, my hair was so weighed down and greasy with dry ends. I had to wash it again just to keep it manageable. It not only requires 16-20 pumps per wash just to have some coverage but after using the entire bottle, I did not see any "less hair falling out or thickening of my hair" as it was advertised.

I received a second and third shipment which I never opened or used. When I tried to cancel and return the unused boxes, they told me I could only return the third shipment and that the refund would take 4-6 wks! Judith (the very rude attendant) also told me that I could not return the 2nd shipment because it was past 60 days! Which was not what was said to me when I placed the initial order. I was told I could cancel and return "at any time" - no questions asked! She also proceeded to tell me each shipment was $90!!! So they have been charging my card $30/month for each shipment, which was also not what I was told when I placed the order; it was only supposed to be $29.95/shipment every three months!

I asked to talk to a supervisor, and "Reshitta" the "supervisor" was also useless and rude. Both Reshitta and Judith kept interrupting me and cutting me off and not allowing me to speak. I was then transferred to a THIRD person (Cindy) who seemed to have better customer service etiquette. She had no problem refunding me for both unused orders and was patient and listened to everything I had to say. Let’s wait and see if she's really going to refund everything she said she would. So disappointed in this company and this product, and from what I see in the Consumer Affairs complaints, so are a lot of people! Do not buy this product! It's a scam!!

I was not thoroughly impressed with the product. I have fine hair and felt it did not do anything for me, in fact it made my hair limper as it was extremely heavy. I stopped using it and went back to my normal routine. A few months passed and ANOTHER package came in the mail... At this point I started wondering why I was still receiving product. It turned out that they had been charging my credit card for all the interim months. When they tell you the product is only X amount of dollars monthly, what they mean is that they are SPLITTING up the payment over a few months because it is actually upwards of $100 CDN per shipment.

The only other notable experience for me was with their customer service. Firstly, expect to spend a significant amount of time on the phone with them. Secondly, do not expect to speak with someone pleasant. My first call was absolutely horrendous and actually left me angrier than I was originally. She was not accommodating and instead put the blame on me. I called back a second time (after speaking with my credit card company about how to get all the money I had spent reimbursed) and the second lady was lovely. However, I have not been reimbursed fully and will likely spend even more time trying to reclaim funds through my credit card company. If you really want to try WEN, go and buy a bottle at Sephora. I do not personally recommend the product and I can say with 100% confidence that ordering through their website was a nightmare.

I, like a lot of people, was curious about Wen Haircare Products. I finally broke down and ordered the introductory kit online. The first time I used it, I used the recommended amount of 10 pumps (I believe it was). My hair ended up being greasy looking once it was dried. I tried less pumps the next few times with the same result. I called in and was advised to use even less which I did and my hair still looked greasy and flat when dried.... hardly the look they touted on their infomercials. Somehow, the lady I spoke to at WEN talked me into getting a different "scent" saying the one I had wasn't for my type of hair. Ok, I decided to accept the shipment but in the interim decided that I just should use regular shampoo (in the meantime, numerous kits arrived on my doorstep while I was at work so I was unable to refuse delivery).

When I called 5 months after my initial kit arrived I was told I couldn't get a refund for most of the product because it was out of their 60 day money back policy. I was furious because here I had numerous unopened kits that could have gone back, but they weren't going to refund all of my money. I talked to one of their Floor Managers and he agreed to help me out since I hadn't called in sooner because I had had a death in my family and my attention at that time had not been on returning product. I was thankful that he was willing to make an exception. I returned ALL product as directed to the appropriate address (all boxes unopened except my original trial kit). So far I have only received a total of 2 credits out of 8 charges. I've been on the phone with their Customer Service Dept. 4 times since I returned product trying to get my full credits only to get the complete runaround.

The latest call was today whereby I finally got the floor manager on the phone and in the middle of our conversation, we got disconnected. I called back only to find out I was routed to a different call center and they can't get in touch with the guy I was talking to. I called two more times and finally got the correct call center (by sheer random chance). The Floor Manager wasn't there to talk to... another Floor Manager got on the phone and refused to give me the rest of my credits due to the fact that the return was outside their 60 day policy!!! When I got angry and told her it was "**," she told me she understood my frustration, but couldn't help me. How can she understand my frustration? If she did, she'd refund my money.

When I told her to connect me with the original Floor Manager, she told me he was out at lunch. After I told her the customer service was lousy and the whole thing was ** up, she hung up on me because of my profanity. I am so angry and frustrated that a million dollar company can't make an exception and refund the total amount due me (approx $ 240.00); after all, they have all the product I returned (mostly in unopened boxes). Guthy Renker is the company behind WEN and they are very responsive... I've ordered from them many times. My last resort was to write them an e-mail appeal to try to have them step in. Let's see what happens. My advice to anyone considering WEN Haircare products, skip it. It's not worth the hassle.

On May 28, 2014 I ordered a basic Wen Hair Kit from the website of Guthy-Renker@crm-inet.com and charged the amount of $29.95 to my Visa debit card. On June 29, 2014 I noticed a charge of $33.94 on my account, and e-mailed them about this charge. They said it was for the first of three installment payments, totaling $101.82. I immediately canceled my account and they sent a confirmation e-mail of the cancellation on July 1, 2014. The agreement I read on their website said there was no commitment required, and no minimum to buy, so I did not expect any further charges. I received the 2nd shipment they are charging $101.82 for! Today, I am returning it with tracking and asking that these charges be reversed. Of course, I will pay for shipping. I feel this is false advertising because I did not receive any prior notice of another shipment or additional charges. My basic order stated it was a trial package, with free shipping, and free gifts, not a commitment..

First I tried to cancel my auto-ship but the phone kept redirecting me! They kept saying positive comments about Wen Hair Care and how I should continue using it. I tried to cancel but they always stopped me after I pressed a button - This went on for about fifteen minutes before I got fed up and hung the phone. After that I tried the live chat on their website. Imagine my surprise when they told me they will close my account manually. What happened? A month or so later, another shipment arrived - with a charge of $100.00!

I wanted to cancel because I didn't have enough money to continue paying (and the shipping fees of returns were horrible!). So I continued to talk to customer service (the initial purchase was an expensive gift I bought for my mom) and they told me my account was never canceled! Aren't they supposed to keep track of these conversations? They neglected my previous try at returning the items.

Of course, I used a debit card so they couldn't really deduct anything without money in my bank. Luckily, they stopped sending shipments after I couldn't pay for the first one, sending me mails about an overdue payment. My payment method was supposed to be subtracted FIRST and I never changed my payment method to a pay later program. Now my credit is dwindling, I made enough money to pay for it, and they won't respond to my emails notifying them I could pay for it! I added my debit card into the payment option and no amount was subtracted. Now they call it a "delinquent" balance and they'll notify some kind of collection center. Wen is a big company. I hope I could make an argument.

I made a first purchase of the Wen by Chaz Dean hair shampoo and conditioner kit which was advertised for $29.99 plus free shipping. This was on their official website. I thought it was a great deal and had been wanting to try this shampoo. After it arrived and I tried it, I hated it. It made my hair dull and feel greasy and unclean. I returned the product as it was said I could return it within 60 days to get my money back. I paid for the postal fee to return it along with tracking per USPS. It arrived to them on 6/16/14 per USPS tracking information.

On 6/21/14 much to my surprise, another box of Wen arrived on my doorstep! Inside was an invoice for $101.82, stating that they have charged my credit card for $33.94 and will proceed to charge it again for the next 2 months! I went crazy as I had not agreed to any auto shipments and I would never agree to spending over $100 on shampoo! What was more frustrating was that I hated the shampoo and had returned it. I then called my credit card company and found out they had charged the $33.94 on 6/17/14 (one day after they received my return of the shampoo that I purchased but did not like).

Did they think I wanted more of the shampoo that I had just returned because I didn't like it?? I then called the 800 number for Wen (which is very hard to find and they kept me on hold for a long while, pushing prompts, etc). The live person I finally spoke with argued with me that I had entered into an auto ship program when I made that first purchase. I went back to the website and the shampoo deal for $29.99 plus free shipping, nowhere states anything about auto ship agreement. It is not until the final checkout page that there is a paragraph in fine print off to the side which says it's an auto ship agreement. Now I have to pay $15 to return this heavy box of the auto shipment PLUS they are going to dock me another $11.97 in shipping charges before they will credit my credit card. I have disputed the charged and I hope I win with my credit card company.

This is definitely BAIT AND SWITCH sales tactics and they are very shrewd in their advertising techniques and also their invoices are also done in a shrewd manner, not providing a customer or order number ANYWHERE on their invoices!! Plus when you return one of their products and have to fill out the return paperwork, they make you rewrite a "code" number which is very long and complicated and that corresponds to the product you are returning. Again, bait and switch shrewd sales tactics to discourage the customer from bothering to return the product.

I thought maybe it was a nutritional imbalance. However, I supplement with Biotin for hair growth and never had a problem with hair loss in past. I spoke to a friend who mentioned she heard that Wen users were complaining of the same. Coincidence? I think not. Will return 3 month supply I just received and cancel. Beware. I couldn't stop talking about it and having my coworkers touch it. Since I love SAM CC I thought I would also try the FIG CC since it was especially made for ethnic hair. I did not like it because my hair was not soft, it was hard and rough to the touch. I must mention that when I tried WEN the first time I was also coloring my grays using JUST 5.

The second time when I used FIG I was using BEGIN Semi-Permanent. Coloring hair does have a reaction to any hair products. I contacted Chaz Dean Studios and found out when purchasing authentic WEN Chaz Dean recommends customers to only purchase through the Chaz Dean Studio website, QVC, Guthy Renker which handles their infomercial or Sephora. Although Guthy Renker does carry WEN there is a slightly different version of WEN than Chaz Dean website www.chazdean.com. They are both WEN products and are both created by Chaz Dean.

Because of regulations on products sold internationally, the ingredients through Guthy Renker is changed slightly. Chaz Dean worked very hard to make sure that the quality and philosophy behind WEN is still upheld, and that product performance would be identical. Amazon does carry but if go to their website and order you will notice WEN, Chazdean studios, ChazDean, and WEN (R with circle around it) for Kids. The one that says WEN is not authentic and they only carry a few products. Hope this was helpful!

Not only is this unacceptable, I've had to get angry with the reps as they continue to ignore your request to cancel the product and continue to try to keep you on an automatic shipment schedule, they are relentless. I don't want this product anymore as it no longer works for me and this business practice is UNACCEPTABLE to me. What recourse do we have to get our money back from this scam?

Ordered product and from day one everything was done wrong. I've been calling since 10/30/2013. I was told to go to my bank and have them fax over my bank statement saying I received an overdraft fee due to an unauthorized transaction and to put it at attention **. Then on 11/06/2013 they refunded the unauthorized debit but not the overdraft fee so I had to resubmit the fax. Still no refund. Then I was told that they felt sorry for my inconvenience that they were going to make it as if it were an installment $34.95 and it would come in the form of a paper check because I had them to remove my debit from the account and that a check was mailed out on the 14th of January. And today is 2/28/14, still have not received called back because I called on 2/26/14, they told me that they were tracking the check that they would call back 24/48 hours. No call now they gave me and still waiting.

I honestly do love the shampoo, but WEN loves overbilling!!! Every month $40-$50? I was set up on a 90 day shipment and was billed almost $70 the month of the shipment, then $40 the next month! I was never told anything about this!!! I called and complained and they basically just said, "That's the way it is"! I love the shampoo, but not for $50 a bottle! I don't use a lot of shampoo and now have 6 bottles in stock. This is nothing but a scam! I can order the shampoo on eBay or Amazon when I will need it. To hell with this damn company!!!

Order one time for birthday present. My girlfriend had to go to emergency...allergy reaction...lost hair...bad product.....Then, one month after, more product was delivery to me. Did not accepted the product and told to the courier to return to sender. Call when to not send me anymore and they are not authorize to take my money on my credit card....One week later, they took more money at higher amount. I had to cancelled completely my credit card....Customer Beware.....
