I finally tried Wen again. Wow, was I still wrong and scared all over again. I got the starter kit offered on TV and I used it twice. Each time I had clumps of hair falling out in my shower, all over my comb and brush, hair was dry, frizzy and hard. I had so much hair falling out that I got scared and started crying. I followed all the steps and instructions in the order exactly as instructed.

My head and scalp started to itch, has red bumps on forehead, my hair was frizzy, dull and I had a hard time combing it with a wide comb (like I always do), did the treatment in for 30 minutes, rinsed it all out, put on the anti-frizz and even used the mousse in the kit. My hair was so bad and still falling out on floor, when hair dried, my husband noticed and said "what's going on with your hair and why are there huge clumps of hair in the shower? Why are you shedding so bad and what are the red bumps? Your hair is like straw, frizzy and ratty, very different from before! You ok?" I am very picky when it comes to my hair and only used Pureology or Alterna, high end products without sulfate and never had problems before.

I called to cancel my auto ship and the girl was asking me all types of question like it was my fault. I told her I did not change anything except switching to Wen, now my hair is falling out in clumps and have itching rashes. It was so bad that I had to rewashed my hair with my Pureology and I had no hair falling out plus it soothe my itching a little bit. It was frustrating to be made felt I did something wrong. I also told the lady (Blanchard?) with Wen that this happened to me before when I used WEN, she said she has never heard of my problems and she wasn't going to put I had problems with using WEN before because it would confuse him.

She made me felt like I was complaining for nothing so I decided to do my research and came across this site. I took pictures of the clump of hair in case WEN thinks I'm making it up. Told her to cancel my auto ship and I hope they did. I am very healthy, have not had any problems with any allergies and even had a clean bill of health from doctor before using WEN. What is going on and why do they make me feel like it's my fault? Very upset with hair loss and everything! These pics are nothing compared to the others of my clump of hair. :( order #**. Customer #**. What do I do? Frustrated!

This is the worse product ever. I have naturally curly hair. Now I have bald spots. The product made my whole scalp infected. My hair is thin now and it sheds everywhere. There's spots on my head that will never grow hair back. Now I'm scared and hate washing my hair. These images are before and after this product ruined my hair and my employment.

This is a shady company. I cancelled on 12-3-15 and paid full amount 119.85 and on 2-3-16 they took 12 dollars from my account. I called so they can explain to me why. And every time they pick up and I ask they hang up. No one there can give me a answer. They keep avoiding me. This is not cool. Hope others don't fall for their tricks and their scams. Wow. Sad part is because they're a big company they seem to get away with it. Hope this helps others like not to fall again with people like this.

I wish I could give this product zero stars. I ordered this product from QVC in June 2015 and have been using it exclusively since. Even when I had my hair colored, I would request that the hairdresser only rinse my hair thoroughly so I could cleanse with WEN when I got home. I have now noticed that my hair on top is thinning terribly and that my hair has not grown in length. I have been striving for long, luxurious hair like in the commercial for WEN, and have only had small amounts trimmed, as advised by my hairdresser. I know it is growing, because I get roots, but it is falling out faster than it can grow back in.

I just went on the QVC site to give a review and to hopefully let somebody know about this. Then, I came upon this Website and quickly realized that I was not alone. If I had not stumbled upon this, I may have never known and may have thought it was just me. But now, after reading many of these complaints, I realize that I am "one of the gang". I have only just stopped using this, so I have no idea if my hair will return to normal. I sure hope so, not only for myself, but for the others as well.

I started using WEN in April 2015. No noticeable change in hair, good or bad; until about November 2015. My scalp on the top of my head began itching so bad that I actually had my mom check me for lice. It felt like bugs were crawling all over. She did not find any creepy crawlers but noted my scalp was very red and irritated. I then started feeling itchy bumps on the back of my head where my hairline meets my neck.

At first, I thought maybe they were pimples even though I've never had skin problems there before. When the "bumps" were "popped" they became even more itchy, very painful, and more like open sores that took several weeks to heal. I cancelled my Wen subscription in November 2015 and was surprised when the representative simply cancelled and did not try the usual tactics to retain my business; didn't even ask why I was cancelling. I was going to finish out the last of my supply, but with the reports coming in from others with similar experiences decided to throw it all out.

I am not going to go into great detail as I have had the same experience as other ladies here. Started using WEN 12/2014, worked great for about 2 months, started losing my hair in the shower at about 3.5 months. But I hadn't heard about the WEN issues at that point, so I continued using it. Kept losing hair more and more and at about the 6-month mark, I noticed a receding hairline on one side of my forehead. I am 33 years old and freaked out, of course and began researching online and learned of all the horror stories about WEN. I stopped using immediately. My once thick hair is now very thin and makes me look quite older. I am so disgusted and livid, I have no words. It has only been a couple weeks since I stopped using WEN so I am truly hoping I can reverse the damage.

Then she asked me what products I was using on my hair and told me to stop using Wen. After reviewing this product I now know it is absolutely going in the garbage. It was great for making my hair shine, but no hair is not the look I'm going for. So disappointing.

I did not personally purchase it, my friend purchased it and had hair thinning and hair loss. She gave it to me; I am sure if I need proof of purchase she will give it to me.

I have been using Wen Cucumber Aloe for many years. My hair has become so thin, lifeless, and very dry and I could not understand what was causing it. I have also developed small itchy patches on my head - it feels like bugs crawling. My hair keeps coming out heavy in my brush. I try not to brush so much because of this. My hair has become so thin on the sides that you can hardly see hair there. I was at work and my boss happened to remember I used Wen and she told me about what was going on with this product and I immediately stopped using it.

I am so stressed out about this and worry if this damage is permanent. I work for a big company in an office and I am so embarrassed about my hair. I need a hair transplant for sure to even feel normal. This product should not be sold and I want them to be held responsible. I try to take good care of myself and my hair. I thought I was using the best product on my hair. I never thought it could be my Wen shampoo!

I ordered a complete kit and at 1st loved the way my hair felt. I noticed in less than a month that my hair was coming out in patches so I called Wen, the lady said "Oh we've never had that problem but I understand and will cancel any further orders and will credit you for your purchase. Sorry you had a problem." I guess that should have sent up a flag because most companies do not do this so easily so they probably did know. I was bald for about 1.5 years before it grew in well enough to get a haircut to be able to make even since it came out in patches all over at different times. I no longer have hair near as thick, curly or as long as before but at least I have hair. I would like to join lawsuit if possible. Had injections on head, used special shampoo.

I used WEN sweet almond mint cleansing conditioner and liked the bounce it gave my hair. A couple of months later my hair starting falling out! I thought it must be stress... (although I wasn't under any more stress than ever before) I thought, well it's a good thing I'm doing something great for my hair by giving up shampoo, (which was hard to do because I missed the suds)

To my dismay and unbelief, I lost so much hair, that it would line the entire bathtub! Over and over again! I really feel like a dunce, that I could be duped like this! I thought it must be menopause or something... My hair got so thin, I have been using hair extensions ever since. I'm having trouble having enough hair to clip them in! Handfuls of hair in my brush, but was really concerning, (if that's not enough), was a group of strands from my scalp came out in my fingers while I was cleaning my hair... straight from the scalp... not broken ends... usually about 5 or 6. (now that I have stopped... this doesn't happen any more). I must be really gullible, because even after that I continued to use WEN.

Six months ago I heard about other people using WEN and losing their hair, and a light bulb went off! I cancelled my order, which I have several bottles of the stuff left over... They send so much, in fact that Guthy Renker is another story... Well now that I'm back on shampoo, after 6 months my hair is back to normal shedding. I'm trying to use Rogaine products to regain new hair growth. I haven't seen any results yet, but it probably takes time. I am going to file a formal complaint with WEN and Guthy Renker. I would like info on joining a class action suit! At least to have my Rogaine and wig expenses taken care of!

Ordered WEN products after viewing Chaz Dean on QVC and order his products and thought it seemed like something I would like to try. It would prolong my hair coloring and make my hair soft and manageable. At first it really did the trick. However, after three months I started to see a lot of hair in the bathtub when I would wash my hair and was wondering what was going on. Then I would see so much hair in my hair brush -- much more than usual. The next time I went to get my hair colored my hairstylist told me I had a bald spot toward the front of my scalp. Then I really began to worry. She told me to stop using WEN because of all the bad reports she had been reading. I stop using the products and sent them back to QVC for a refund.

Now my hair is thin and very dry and dull. I had very thick and curly beautiful hair. Now it is straight and dull and not manageable at all. I don't know what to do with it. I thought I had done something to it. But after I had read the other reviews I know now it is the WEN products that have really done a number on my hair. Wonder how long it is going to take me to get my hair back the way it was before. Please include me in the lawsuit or tell me how I can go about including myself in the class action lawsuit. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in Advance.

Over the time that I have used it, I started to notice that my hair was becoming flat and dry. When I was going to get my hair cut, the stylist stated to me that my hair was very dry and brittle. I did not want to believe that it was the WEN that was causing this, as WEN was advertised to leave your hair soft and full of volume. Now I have flat and very dry hair. I have gone back to regular shampoo to try to repair the damage that the WEN has caused. Very disappointed!!!

There were too many products to use and I am low-maintenance. I had them take my credit card off their file and cancelled. A month later, I was sent a bill for a second shipment that I never received (nor did I order). Since then WEN has continued to bill me and now is "threatening" to send me to collections over a $40 shipment that I never wanted nor received. This company is a marketing disaster. If you look up reviews online, the vast majority are for billing issues. Get it together guys. I will continue to tell people how much of a marketing scam this company is.

I never thought I would be writing this but I have to now. I began using WEN "shampoo" in the summer. My hair is short and fine. All I wanted was to see body and fullness... And I had every hope it would work. I first noticed some hair falling out by fall, my hairdresser asked me what I was doing different. My scalp was itchy. I noticed hair in the drain but couldn't believe it was the WEN. As we were getting closer to the holidays -- and a family wedding, I was forced to buy a wig. Not cheap. I am ashamed to go out. I saw a dermatologist. He told me it had to be the shampoo if I hadn't changed anything and to stop using it. I have patches of spots that are still so fine.

I knew it was bad yesterday. I went with my dear cousin to a cancer center for her chemo treatment... I was mistaken for a patient... Because of MY HAIR. That was it. I am done. I want to be included in this lawsuit. That was enough to make me totally sick. I can only hope my hair comes back - until then I wear my wig. Thanks WEN!!! :(

Watched and watched Chaz Dean on QVC for years and finally decided to take the plunge. From March 2015 to Dec 2015 I spent over $600 in product because I loved it so much... at first! At first I could tell an immediate difference in my hair. It was fuller and shinier and seemed so much healthier. I even encouraged my teenage kids to use it. My 18 yr old daughter had thick beautiful shiny hair. My 16 yr old son has always had a scalp condition called Suburbia Dermatitis which is a reaction to the yeast in your body and causes thick scaly buildup. Babies have it. We call it Cradle Cap.

They both started using WEN and had good results. So much for my son in fact, that he no longer had to use those harsh prescription shampoos! Then it all started to change. I was noticing a thinning spot in the front of my head at the part and my hair texture started feeling odd and my scalp started itching constantly. I had noticed what seemed to be an excess of hair in the drain but I thought it was my imagination. My daughter started noticing dandruff issues that she never had before as well as her hair texture had changed and the shine has diminished. My sons scalp condition returned with a vengeance!

My mother notified me of a lawsuit against WEN but I figured it was idle internet gossip considering the ads for WEN still run and I see Chaz on QVC all the time. Why would they continue to market these products if they are causing all of these problems!? Surely Chaz... as passionate as he seems about his line would do EVERYTHING possible to put his customers at ease and at least remove them from the market until this matter is thoroughly investigated!

To my dismay I discovered it in fact was not idle internet gossip! SO many people have had much worse side effects from this and I am appalled to find these reviews! He should be forced to stop marketing and reimburse all of these people that are suffering! I immediately called QVC upon learning of the lawsuit and they were very good about refunding ALL of the $ that I spent on these products and even refunded my shipping costs to return them! If you have any WEN from QVC call them. They will help you!

I have since returned to my previous shampoo and conditioner and I definitely am seeing less hair fallout but my hair feels remarkably thinner than before I started using WEN. I am still dealing with my itchy scalp although it seems less than earlier. My daughter is trying to get the dandruff under control and my son is trying harder now than before to regain control of his condition. I wish everyone the best of luck! I also would like to be included in this lawsuit. If you know the contact info please post it so we can sign up.

I ordered a one time trial but was tricked into automatic orders charged to my credit card. I called today to cancel and will hopefully receive a return label and a 40.00 credit on my account. I wish WEN well but I have tried to give the product a chance on more than one occasion and fail to see any positive results.

I've tried Wen. It is true it gives you smooth hair. They just forgot to mention that you start losing hair after a few months of use. Not to mention the charges. I signed up for the introductory price of $19.99 plus $29.99 for each shipment. My introductory package came, the charge was $19.99. My second package came that was suppose to be $29.99 instead my card was charged over $75. What the hell people. The third package came, I mailed it back and cancelled my membership. I ended up with thinning hair and paid for it dearly. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!

I decided to Google and saw reports on how people are been losing their hair with WEN. Unless you're a woman with hair loss you have no idea how this does to her self esteem. I already have been there but they have clumps of it gone. Devastating.

About over 5 years ago I decided to try the WEN cleansing conditioner while watching QVC. I was looking for a remedy for my daughter's thick curly hair; no conditioner at the time was working. According to what I saw I decided to make a purchase but to try it on my hair first and if all went well then I will have my daughter try it. I tried it for a year and I loved it. The first time my daughter tried it she cried with joy because she was able to finally comb her hair out and it was soft and manageable. We both swore off shampoo and continue to use all the products. However, last year 2015 I noticed shedding of my hair and more hair came out when I combed it in the shower; I just dismissed it and continue to use WEN. I also noticed in my daughter's room more hair on her bathroom floor and the rug in her room but since has thick curly hair I figured that was normal.

Months earlier a coworker told me that her mom tried it and noticed she was losing hair and discontinued use immediately. Then came the lawsuit in late 2015 and made me rethink that our hair shedding may be caused by WEN. I decided then that my daughter and I will discontinue using the product and go back to using shampoo and separate conditioner. We have noticed a difference; not as much hair come out when we wash and comb our hair. I feel sorry for the women who are dealing with terrible hair loss and have bald spots.

However, my hair feels different transitioning back to shampoo so I have to deal with getting it back to a healthy state. I'm lucky that my daughter and I have not experience hair loss to the extent as so many others, but I agree with one other person's comments that over the last year I noticed a difference in the product. I had just purchased a lot of new WEN products from QVC in December 2015 and I returned them all for a refund. So sad that it was a great product idea and not sure what went wrong.

Today I finally went to get my hair done at the salon. I decided to try a new place. It had been months since my last time. After mentioning to the stylist my complaint about losing my hair, she asked me what products I was using. I told her WEN. With much hesitation on her end she told me that there was a lawsuit against WEN for that reason. The stylist had a customer that complained to her about the product itself and that there was a lawsuit. She did not want to tell me anything because she didn't use the product before and didn't want me to think she was mocking the product so I would buy theirs. She said while I blow dry your hair look it up on your phone. I did, and boy was I in shock of what I was reading. All the complaints were similar and all the information matched mine. I was so happy the stylist shared this with me because now I'm going to stop using it indefinitely.

It did feel great to know though that this was not related to my physical or emotional health. I knew losing so much hair when I showered or brushed my hair was not normal. My mom told me it was not normal. She was really scared for me and encouraged me to go to the doctors. I had blood work done but surprisingly my results were normal. I then thought it was due to old age and stress. Never did I think my issue was caused by WEN. I trusted this product. I loved it, how it made my hair feel and the beautiful scent. I am angry. It's caused me more stress, some depression seeing myself this way and not knowing the cause. My hair is not as bad as others on the complaints, but I do have less hair, dry at the ends and you can see my scalp in the front of my head. I feel so old and ugly when I look in the mirror but hopefully now that I have planned to switch to a different shampoo I will have less thinning.

I use it in my hair 2X per week following exact instructions for my shoulder length hair and rinse thoroughly before using just a dab on my ends for a leave-on. I use the styling products as well. I also use Wen to cleanse my face and body daily. I purchase my products from QVC because of the convenience and value. I returned it the first time I purchased it because I didn't have good results. After watching additional presentations, I realized I had not used it properly and decided to give it another try. I have absolutely no regrets - my hair is healthier than ever and I am post menopausal.

It is possible that some women may have negative side effects from products for any number of reasons including allergies or misuse. However, there are many causes for hair loss including stress, heredity, health issues, drug side effects, pregnancy, menopause, anesthesia, over processing with chemicals, overuse or improper use of styling tools or products, allergies, etc. I am among millions of women who use Wen who have had nothing but positive results, therefore, I shall continue to use Wen until it is proven to be the culprit for the hair loss suffered by what seems to be only a "handful" of women as compared to millions who have had positive results.

She gave it a try and then said that she didn't want to use it because it makes her hair fall out. How could this wonderful product make her hair fall out? Shortly thereafter, I started to notice that my hair was thinning and the shower drain kept getting plugged up. I discontinued use of the product about a week ago. This morning I was at breakfast with my friends and one of them mentioned to me that my hair looks very thin. It really does. I can see my scalp from every angle and unfortunately, not every outfit looks good with a hat. I really hope my hair grows back. This is not a good look.

Then this past year I decided to return to using it because the wonderful results that I had experienced in the past with it - wonderful shine, bounce, and volume to my hair. In the beginning that is what I experienced. However, I suddenly noticed that my hair was thinning out and I was losing a lot of hair on a daily basis in the drain, my hair brush, etc. I have fine hair but a lot of it! It became too bad that I actually went to the doctor and had numerous blood tests done to find out what was going on. Each one came back as normal. I was frustrated that I couldn't find out what was wrong.

Then I was talking to a friend who told me about what was being said about WEN. I denied it in the beginning. But then I read what other people were stating about their experiences and now I am beginning to believe that my experience is not related to a medical condition but rather to my use of WEN. I just heard about lawsuit against Chaz Dean today from my Aunt. I started using Rice based products almost a yr ago. At first I read all directions so I would use the correct amount of pumps for my hair which it said approx. 10-15 pumps. Then it waited for the time for best results. Then rinsed it out in my sink in kitchen. I noticed my hair was shiny the first few times... but I also noticed a lot of my hair in the sink. I had tons of hair in my brush, but figured this was normal for a new product. I have naturally curly fine dark hair. I finally read reviews on QVC before I bought it. Some lady recommended not to use as many pumps.. so I did just that. But every time I used the product I had a lot of hair in drain. Never thought it was WEN. I'm 52 yrs old, and going thru early changes so still never thought it was because of the product thinning my hair.

Then I purchased the 613 product, which lady on reviews said.. so I did. Loved it! But still lost hair and saw hair loss on brush. Well, I tried the Lilic Honey. It smelled nice just wanted to use up the product, then decide if I would buy the seasonals for Christmas. My friend got the WEN Coconut Lime from me today for Christmas gift.. not knowing till later on about the lawsuit. I told her right away about lawsuit. She really has wanted to try WEN for a yr or so, and she has very thick hair and long hair. I know she still is interested in trying this seasonal product. It seems the real problems are the fig, almond, tee tree and lavender.

I have a lot of fine hair with a lot of waviness and naturally curly. I do not use recommended pumps, nor do I use this more than once every few weeks. And now I do not leave product in my hair either for more than 2 min then I rinse in shower. Then I go back to Kevin Murphy shampoo products. I went to get my hair cut and I started noticing dandruff on my scalp. Hairdresser asked me what shampoo I was using. I told her WEN. She said some of her clients have complained of losing huge amounts of hair. Hairdresser just told me to use WEN sparingly as my hair is thinning a little more than it use to. So I have listened to hairdresser.

As of today, I will hold off on using the seasonal products, and other WEN products I have invested my money into. I bought special on QVC in fall of 5 different kinds of smaller bottles. I think it was $79 with a few easy pays. I am scared now on using any more of the WEN products now. I don't need to have bald spots or other issues like others have experienced. I hope I can get paid back for product. I am very angry that my hair isn't like it was like last year.

Just kept believing in the product and it was natural and good for our hair. I would like to get in on the lawsuit as well. I will look at pictures from 1 yr ago to now. Chaz Dean needs to reimburse all of us for our losses... both from a emotional standpoint and financially. Some of the reviews are very heartbreaking! I am hoping we are contacted for lawsuit. If anyone knows who to contact, pls share on one of the reviews. Shame on Chaz.. So disappointed and upset that we all lost hair. Any hair loss is too much!

An update on hair loss - it seems that the product has softened the scalp and the hair follicles don't have a solid base to stay in. There is no progress only more hair loss. As my hair has not grown back, my eye lashes are still little stubbles, also my hair still looks and feels like straw! Back in May 2015 I had a concern regarding Wen sweet almond mint conditioning shampoo that made my hair fall out. I am still not happy at all. As you can see in the photo (taken in Dec 2015) my hair has not grown back (the 1st photo I submitted was in May 2015) and that is only one of the patches missing along with all the single strands that came out without using a brush. The bald spot is embarrassing & irritating and I need to be compensated for the unused, unopened conditioning shampoo also for the thousand dollars spent in the year of using the product.

Wen products need to be taken off the shelf or warning signs on the product. I would like to be a part of the lawsuit and need to know how to go about getting on the list. Warning to all that want to be users of "Wen" products - don't do it! It appears that Chaz Dean doesn't care about his clients, "no acknowledgement" that his product could have too much acid (oops sorry). He only wants your money and if that is where you want to invest your money by all means go ahead - but take this as a fair warning - "there is no return on your investment, only a bald head and horrified looks from people that don't know what happened. They just think that you have a disease and they stay away from you."

After a few months I noticed the texture of my hair was totally different and was getting very thin. My hair is almost 50% thinner and I couldn't understand what was going on, I started to think there was something wrong with me whether it was hormones or my birth control.

I've always blow dried my hair and used curling irons weekly maybe I had some split ends but my hair was always fine. Then I was online one day and came across all these reviews on WEN and I was horrified because the things that all these other women are saying happened to them are happening to me. I'm so upset and frustrated that this has happened. My hair is taking forever to grow back out and return to its natural thickness. I can't imagine what ingredients are in this product that would cause this because everything is supposed to be natural. I'm just sorry I didn't know about the reviews before I used it. I went online to learn how to use it properly thinking that was the problem... continued to use it... BIG MISTAKE! As time went on I noticed there was a lot of hair in my shower drain. As I styled my hair I was noticing much more hair on my bathroom floor than usual. Then my hair started to thin, on the sides, back, all over basically. Not only that, my breakage and the itching, it was ridiculous... OMG what is wrong with me???

A friend told me about how people were losing their hair because of Wen. I didn't believe a product could do such damage, it must be me. So, I ran to my doctor to have blood work, TOTALLY normal. Tomorrow I am going to my dermatologist. Oh and by the way I stopped using this horrible product and my hair stopped falling out!!! I pray it grows back. Going to the derma for the itching. Chaz claims he doesn't on animals... that nice... he just test on humans instead.

UPDATED ON 01/07/2015: I wrote a review 2 days ago. Since then I have gone to my dermatologist and lo and behold she knew about the Wen. Told me to discontinue usage. She gave me a prescription for Clobetasol Propionate, a very strong topical solution. Great.. just what I need. I am so pissed. To all you victims you better get to a dermatologist sooner than later. I first used Wen about 4-5 years ago. Like many others, I loved it at first. I couldn't believe the shine and body my hair had. That lasted for about the first 3-4 uses. I'd been working out daily (a new venture for me) for about 6 months and thought I could use a cleanser that was gentle and natural since I had to clean my hair/scalp so often. My hair started to get very brittle and stiff, and was coming out by the handful. There was hair everywhere: in the shower, on the bathroom floor, on my clothes, in the brush/comb, in the car. I thought maybe I'd had the wrong formulation, so I tried the Fig, I tried the Tea Tree, I used the masque for ultra conditioning. I couldn't understand how a "conditioning cleanser" was tangling my hair more with each use. The hair that didn't fall out by itself was breaking off. Sometimes I would literally have to cut out the knots because there was no other way to untangle the strands.

All the while, I thought the changes in my hair had to be because of hormones, aging, or some other issue. I ate well, hydrated well, worked out... healthier than I'd been my whole life! So, why else would my hair start falling out? And changing texture? Some of the strands looked and felt like those wispy spider webs that you accidentally walk through and can feel on your face but can't find. I had scalp soreness/tenderness in the front and - wouldn't you know it - thinned out quite a bit in that area. Still, I didn't attribute the hair loss to Wen. I just learned of all the other women having the same problems I had last week when a coworker told me. After about a year, I stopped using Wen regularly because it was just unmanageable in its newly fragile state; but I still used it sporadically until just a month ago. I don't have nearly as much shedding and breakage as I used to, but I also have about half the head of hair that I used to.

I was so excited about ordering this product from QVC. After watching for many years I was convinced that this must really work. The first time I tried it, it was different that normal shampooing. I decided to give it a month. I really did like it. I was getting compliments, so I thought "Hey this is great stuff." I told so many people about it. I have been using the product for about 9-11 months. I have been going to the same hairdresser for over five years. I did not tell her what I was using. She has been telling me over the past few visits that my hair is thinning, I was so embarrassed at my last visit because she said "If you lose any more hair I will have to charge you half price."

I am in good health, have always had long hair and am really bummed that this product might have something to do with it. I am torn as to whether I should stop and go back to regular shampoo! I recently went online to see reviews for WEN. When the first review I saw was hair loss. I was shocked. This is not what I wanted to see. I'm bummed out!!!

I think, that it may be that people per capita are experiencing natural hair loss that is from many other reasons. It is easy to blame WEN because their dilemma is associated with what they use on their hair! Also, some people are allergic to various products. Some people are allergic to milk. So, does that mean we produced/sell milk??? I don't know.

I started using WEN in 2012. I was taken in by the commercials and promises. I have had too much hair all my life. My hairdresser always thinned it each time it was cut. I started noticing more hair on the drain but passed it off to normal until my hairdresser mentioned that my hair was thinning. I did nothing at first but decided to stop using the WEN. That was approximately 2 months ago and it is still coming out at an alarming rate. I also did not even know WEN had a problem until my girlfriend told me a week ago. Now I'm really upset. I have all the proof. Pictures of my hair like it has been all my life, my hairdressers accounting along with having known her half my life and pictures of the hair on the floor of the shower.

I just want my hair back. Nothing I have ever used on my hair has caused it to get thin. This is crazy. I have spent a lot of money on this product and now I wish I would have never used it. I have purchased this from QVC, Wen.com and also Amazon and I believe eBay. I was unable to print out any receipts from Wen.com because when I tried to sign in it said I was no longer an active customer so I would have to call them. I don't want to do that and have to tell them why I want it. I think my first purchase was on QVC.

I have a drain full of hair and my hairbrush is always full of hair. My hair was much thicker and healthier and stronger before the use of this product. Since my hair was so thick I didn't think much about it at first. My husband pointed out that I was going to clog the drains if I didn't put a drainer in the opening that goes into the pipes. I think I could have stuffed a pillow with all the hair that was coming out of my head. I would like to get in on that class action lawsuit.

I cannot believe how much hair I had lost over such a short period of time. I was told about more complaints and stopped using it. For a month after, my hair continued falling out at an alarming rate. Now, however, my hair has stopped falling out, and my scalp is not so dry! I do not have any of my order numbers, as Wen would not take back their order, or cancel it, and sent me to collections. I continued using the product off and on, but then went back to my previous hair products. I thought the hair loss might have been caused by the fact that I have Lupus, however, my hair loss is now only minimal. I was not happy when I called in and closed my Wen account as they kept saying it was too late to cancel my next order. Long story short it seems that their product is not a healthy choice. Perhaps a class action lawsuit and refund to customers would be nice. I hope Mr. Dean does more research before continuing to sell his products.

Approximately a year, I started buying these hair products by WEN. It was over a course of time, I noticed how thin my hair was going. I already have fine hair, hoping that after seeing these ads in tv, my hair might improve. It got to the point that last winter my hair was so thin, I was embarrassed. Even my hairdresser had seen the difference. Being so self-conscious, I went as far as getting wigs. I'd spent about 600.00 Canadian doing this. I at first thought one was good, but then got a couple till I found one that suited me best.

Though they were fine for the winter, as summer was coming they were hot. It took till this past May 2015, I learned about getting some clip on extensions. At least for a while it was helping to look fuller. I was using these products up till this September 2015, thinking it was easy to carry on a trip with no conditioners. When coming home, I'd forgotten about a full bottle in my carry on. Thank goodness now thinking back, it was confiscated. Tonight I learned from my cousin, how people were complaining about losing hair. She had meant to tell me awhile back, but would forget. I've only seen a bit of improvement, but it's not what it used to be. I see photos of myself from the past couple of years, and wondered what had happened to my hair??? I had tried other products to regain it, but now may know the real reason for its thinning results, and what could be permanent. Never using it again.

I started to use WEN almost a year ago and in the beginning it was great. I chose to use it as a leave-in conditioner (just one pump in my very thick naturally curly hair) to make it easy to comb through and smoother. It worked great for quite a while but then my hair started to get brittle and my curls were a lot less defined (I chalked this up to getting older as I am now in my 40's). Over the last few months, I have started to lose more hair than I have ever lost in my life (I too chalked this up to age) so I thought I would need to take alternative measures and start taking vitamins and, instead of using my normal Biolage shampoo and conditioner, I would add a shampoo and conditioner high in protein.

Last night I went and bought Redken's Extreme shampoo and conditioner and started that today. While getting ready today, I googled "can WEN cause hair loss?" and was SHOCKED by what I found, to the point of almost getting back in the shower to wash out the little bit that I put on my hair (I probably would have if I had more time). I feel Chaz Dean should be held accountable for what he is doing to men, women, children and from what I have read, possibly even animals all over. I have been sick to my stomach over my hair loss, so much that, I have some nights that I am lucky to get 3 hours of sleep and the rest of the night is spent running back and forth to the bathroom. I am so scared, the only good thing that I have been reading so far is that for most, shortly after stopping, their hair loss improves greatly and most also grow hair back.

Now I am trying to think of ways that I can get the excess product off of my hair and speed up the recovery of my remaining hair to hopefully salvage it. I will NEVER, NEVER recommend any of the WEN products to anyone, not even my worst enemy (I could not live with myself if I knew I put someone through the stress that I am feeling these days over this). Here is a picture of just today's hair left in the bottom of the shower, this does not include the hair that came out when I combed it or the hair I had to peel off of my back after I combed it.

I will be buying a Visa gift card to buy it! Their reason is that when I ordered it last time, I had cancelled by phone so I wouldn't get charged the $110 for the next shipment the three month box, but I was charged anyways and it caused my bank account to overdraw and it cost me so much money any when company customer service wouldn't pay for my overdraft charges and would not refund me for the charge that I call THEFT because they didn't have permission and were told to cancel my account and not to run my card ever again!!

I noticed after about a month of use that the clumps of hair were getting bigger every time I showered. I do have a low but corrected thyroid level so I went to the Dr and had my level checked. My thyroid level was a little high so I backed my medication down. I was convinced my problem was solved. I was soon proved wrong. After switching back to different hair products, my hair almost immediately slowed down on falling out.

I disagree with a depilatory product in Wen. I feel there is something that swells the hair shafts causing fullness... and damage. I'm disappointed in Wens' response to these accusations therefore to me almost proving some sort of guilt.

So, I kept using it and then my hair started falling out in small clumps. I asked my doctor what he thought was happening. He tested my thyroid and it was within normal range. I thought maybe it was my hormones and had them tested and that was only slightly out of range. My hair kept getting thinner and thinner as my hair kept falling out when I brushed it or in the shower. Then I was shocked to see a bald spot on the top of my head and now it has gotten bigger and hair is thinner. Then I heard on the news about a lawsuit from other women claiming the same thing happening to them.

I was shocked and realized that I had used about half a gallon of the bottle I bought. Now my hair is so thin and the bald spot is prominent if I don't brush it from the back or over to the side to cover it. My hair is dry in the extreme like crackling sage brush. I have stopped using it completely and just today I threw the gallon bottle out. I am thinking if it can do that to my hair, what has it done to my body? I say that because last February out of nowhere, I started waking up with a weird sensation (like when someone cracks an egg over your head, all liquid going down my head and pins and burning sensations going down through my body from my head down to my feet, and circulation felt sluggish as well, with my blood pressure rising, I get up slowly, sit on edge of bed till sensation goes down enough to get up off bed.

I have been to so many specialist trying to figure out what this is and not one of them can diagnose what it might be. Now, as I think about this, what IF it is TOXINS from this shampoo that I have been using for over a year? So, not only is my hair ruined, maybe it also ruined my body. I would be interested to know what specific chemicals make up Wen and has anyone tested it for Toxins that might harm us? I wish I had known about this a year ago. I know there is nothing I can do but accept it but don't make the mistake so many make and buy this stuff. I thought it was a godsend. It wasn't.

It's now been 5 months and it's still falling out. I tried calling WEN to see if they changed the ingredients but after 2x calling and leaving a message no one would return my call. I have been to 2 dermatologists, had multiple blood panels done, allergy testing and am now on anti-depressants from the depression this has caused. Please own up to what you've done Wen.

I am highly disappointed in the response from WEN (well lack of). I emailed them to complain about their product which caused a significant amount of hair loss for me and they ignored it completely. The next day I checked my e-mail and they did not hesitate to send an e-mail to me advertising their product (as if my hair loss was some type of joke to them). I began using the product around April of this year and began to notice loss on the right side of my hair more so (although the left side showed a reduction in hair; it wasn't as significant. I used the product again, not quite linking it yet.

I then stopped using it, but my hair still continued to fall out. I told my husband and my mom that the only new product that I had used was the WEN. However; I had trouble thinking that celebrities would endorse a product such as this knowing the effects. I was so distraught that I went out to purchase costly extensions and wigs. The hair loss has really changed my appearance as well as created a great loss of confidence in myself. It is even more upsetting that the company is still selling this product. I will contact the Better Business Bureau, as well as an attorney.

I was introduced to WEN over 5 years ago by my mother in law. I have used it exclusively for 5 years and love, love, love it. My hair is thick, curly, and unruly. No other product has made my hair feel as healthy, shiny, and well behaved ever as WEN. I use to get tons of tangles in the shower and since WEN, my hair combs and behaves like silk in the shower. I'm very concerned about the claims being made about irritation, sores, and baldness, even after discontinuing the product. I saw the claims in the news last week and started wondering if my dog's itchy, red, dandruff, scabby skin is a result of the canine WEN that I have been using on him since this summer. My dog has unexplained skin scabs and excessive hair shedding since I started using WEN on him. Since I have never had any issues myself I shrugged off the claims but now I'm worried about the bad effects it has caused my dog to experience.

I also let my daughter try the product and she only used it twice. She has very oily hair and I thought it would help. She complained of a itchy, burning sensation and her hair was very oily. She is only 12 so I thought that it might just be too strong. Recently, I noticed that her part line was widening and now I'm not so sure that it wasn't from the WEN. She has baby fine hair but a lot of hair and I think the thinning on the scalp area might be related to the Wen. I am afraid to use it anymore myself because it might be toxic!

I started using WEN product almost 4 years ago. I also liked the appearance of my hair at first. I shampooed every day, after swimming or exercise. I started losing my hair around then, broke off and started thinning terribly. I thought it possibly was due to stress as my father was dying. Also I used my daughter's flat iron and thought I'd burnt my hair off. Kept using WEN. I was received so much of the product, I canceled my mail order. Gave some to my daughter, she was complaining of broke off thinning hair. I still have 3 unused bottles. Started using biotin thinking I needed some help to promote hair growth. I also found a shampoo I liked a lot and have been using it. WEN I used now and then, it's still in my shower caddie! Stopped blow drying my hair, leaving it to air dry anything to try and regrow my hair!

Then the report about WEN shampoo came out and a light bulb went off!!! Since I've stopped using WEN, maybe once every month or so, I am getting more thickening in my hair! Leftover bottles in trash! Expensive waste!! Haven't talked to my daughter yet to suggest her hair problem maybe due to this product. Will be interesting to see what comes out about this product! I don't have receipts or order numbers as I cancelled probably 2 hrs ago, and couldn't bring up account online.

The pain in my scalp that I'm also experiencing is driving me crazy and has me worried that I will lose more hair. WEN needs to stop selling the products or, at least, people need to be warned. I also noticed that clumps were in the shower when I washed my head. I figured it was from stress, or menopause, or something. Then my scalp started itching really bad. I would find myself scratching like I had lice. My scalp was always red-looking. A different hairdresser told me my scalp was so red and dry and recommended Bio-oil. I still did not link it to WEN. My hair was always fine, but I had a lot of it. Then my hair was not only breaking and knotting, but coming out at the roots! Long thin blonde strands all over.

I have been complaining to friends for the past six months, saying my hair looked better before I used Wen, and not understanding why my hair is falling out. I see a small round bald spot on the top of the crown of my head, and have had spots missing from the back of my head for quite a while. I even started using it on my arms as a moisturizer at times (it's botanicals!) and never realized that's probably why my arms itch and are all scratched up! NEVER made the connection! My husband questioned me about the great amount of hair being found throughout our bathroom and as well found on and in the items listed above. I never thought it was the product I was using. I did even address this to my doctor and in results they could not find anything that was causing this to happen physically and even in results of blood testing.

Product is still sitting inside my shower at home as this is the first I have heard of this cause with the product. The product does have a strong smell to it and as well when applied to your hair does as well have a burning touch to your scalp after leaving it on as instructed on the back of the bottle. However, little by little I noticed that my hair was dry and brittle. Then it started coming out but did not really notice it or was alarmed by it until May 2015. My hair was coming out if I touched the bottom of the strands in whole strands (with hair root bulb), 30 strands at a time. I kept losing it and was afraid to wash my hair or even brush it.

When I washed it, the few strands I had left made me look like a chemo patient when it was wet. I have bald spots now and a receding hairline. My hair is so thin. I have lost at least 2/3 of my hair. I have to arrange it all around my bangs and part to make it look like I have hair and spray it into place. I have been to my doctor for blood workup to include hormone check and thyroid check. No problems there. I am taking Biotin vitamins for hair. It is still so fragile - if I try to put it into even a loose ponytail, it starts coming out again in chunks.

I have a twin and she is NOT using the product and has no hair problems. We are identical and have the same ailments at the same time. This is not a biological problem - this IS A WEN PROBLEM. I cannot find my original receipt where I bought my 6 bottles in December 2013 but will try to get it from my credit card company. However, I have my receipt for the eBay purchase when I wanted an additional scent that they no long carried.

Since then, I have had a very itchy scalp at my hairline to my mid scalp and my hair has been thinning. Each time I wash my hair I lose quite a bit of hair in my hands in the shower then even more when I pick my hair. I thought my hair loss was due to age. I stopped using the product and started using the hair care product my husband uses to see if I could regrow my thinning hair. In November 2015 I began using it again because we were out of shampoo and my scalp is very itchy again and I'm losing more hair again. I've since stopped using Wen altogether.

This week, her friend noticed she'd lost a quarter size clump of hair in the middle of the back of her head at her hair line. Being 12 years old, she wears a ponytail a lot. Now she won't because of the very noticeable large bald spot. I want to cry for her. I have been using it close to a year, and noticed my hair has been the driest it's ever been, lots of breakage, and thinning A lot. Where once I could have a good size ponytail, now it's a little rat-tail. If I lifted up my hair, I could see thinning patches. I figured it was hormones, menopause that was causing the thinning. I noticed at the hair salon they used a product called "Moroccan Oil" (sold in salons only). My hair was so different, it was soft and healthy compared to the straw-like dry feel after Wen. Since I still had two bottles of it, I figured I would just use it up before starting the other product. I noticed hair still falling out, never would have thought it was Wen.

Then my daughter told me there had been complaints and lawsuits against Guthy-Renker, the parent company of Wen. I was astounded reading hundreds of complaints after complaints of exactly what I experienced! I have thrown the bottles away. If you care about your hair, DON'T order or use this stuff. I once used Meaningful Beauty skincare line by the same company. It's not a miracle exotic melon from France, it's full of sulphates. (Nasty stuff, you can read online what they cause and risks).

Bottom line- do your research- these TV ads with celebrities are just gimmicks with cheap harmful crap in them. They themselves are not using them but merely making money having their names connected with the product. And if you want to try to cancel after one shipment, you end up making repeat calls and get poor service. But most important they don't seem to be trying to figure out a way to reverse the damage to the scalp. Mine is itchy and sore all the time.

Another thing! What happens in a few years? Is this going to kill us? Before I knew the cause and two doctor visits, I told my friends, I thought I might have been poisoned. Someone please respond, do you have any answers? Wen needs to be off the market until they fix the problem! Looking like a Bag Lady in Missouri! This was a gift from a friend. For my entire life, I've always had a beautiful head of long, thick hair, which for me helped define me as a woman. I had beautiful hair that I was very proud of. Ever since I was a little girl I wanted to grow it down to my ankles and had always planned to donate it to make a wig or two for someone dealing with hair loss due to sickness. I had been nurturing it along for 15 to 20 years or more. I used to get compliments daily and then I started using Wen...

I used approximately two thirds of the first bottle and in the process, lost massive amounts of hair approximately a third of my hair volume, including a huge portion from the left side of my head above my ear. My scalp became raw and itchy, I developed painful sores and my scalp felt like it was crawling. Nearly a year later, I am still losing hair at an alarming rate. I am appalled by the fact that the Wen corporation knew there was a problem and left it on the market anyway. I certainly wouldn't have bought the product, had I known there was even a slight possibility that I would lose my hair or go bald. I am livid to say the very least. How can they possibly make this up to me???

I also noticed my hair was getting extremely thin and noticed some very sparse areas. I changed shampoos and immediately noticed a difference. I never contributed it to WEN until after I changed shampoos. I bought mostly through QVC, have purchased a lot of this product.

I've been using Wen for years - over 3. A few months ago my hair started falling out throughout my entire scalp. It was extreme. The shower drain would have a mound of my black hair, thick and covering the whole silver drain. My brush would be completely filled with my hair after brushing. If I ran my hair through my hair or adjusted my glasses - I'd have hair fallen throughout my fingers. I DID NOT suspect WEN. I went to my doctor solely due to my hair loss. I had blood work done solely to research a medical reason for my hair loss. Thankfully there was no medical reason. My hairdresser was shocked, my family and friends were shocked. I felt like I was aging 100 fold over approx. 2+ month period.

A few days ago a friend forwarded me a link to an article about WEN and reported hair loss. She knows I am/was a WEN user and that my ponytail went from over a solid inch thick to NON-existent. I think WEN is being negligent in not warning their consumers. I wrote them today via their website email contact asking to provide information about this issue and what clinical studies were done prior to the launch of this high end product. I wonder when the Corporation first knew this is a possible outcome of WEN use.

People trying to better their hair appearance and health actually PAY to kill their hair. It will be YEARS to see if my hair ever grows back. I see very little regrowth and it's actually more upsetting - it's a different texture and growing SO slow. I look ridiculous and sickly. I got an extremely short haircut, to the bottom of my hairline - in a desperate attempt to help my heads appearance. Not so much. UGH.

I ordered the cleansing conditioner, in 2012, directly from Wen's website. I received a couple of additional Wen items with it (intensive hair treatment, styling creme and texture balm). The first time I used it, I noticed my scalp felt tingly. I assumed that was the menthol. Afterwards, when I was combing my hair, weird, the texture felt weird. After a few uses, my hair felt brittle and started to break. Eventually, clumps of hair started falling out. I discontinued use after that. It's taken over a year for new growth to fill in the the sparse areas. I don't know if it was an allergic reaction or what. Will never use it again nor recommend it to anyone else.

Then one day when I touched my head and it went straight to my scalp I was mortified. I switched to the 613 version thinking that would help, since it's supposedly healing. I've used WEN and SIXTHIRTEEN on and off for several years. I'm in an 'on' phase right now. I felt it was one of only a few shampoos/conditioners that improved the condition of my long hair. However over the last 6 months I began to notice that I was beginning to lose more hair in the brush, down the drain, on the bathroom floor than usual. I found it genuinely concerning. My scalp was also becoming itchy. I never directly correlated my hair loss or itchy scalp to WEN, and so just recently ordered a new bottle from an online retailer. It arrived earlier this week on exactly the same day I saw the report of a class action on the nightly news. This was the very first I had ever heard of complaints about this brand and I don't live under a rock. It was shocking.

In any event, I returned the bottle the very next day and tossed out all of my WEN products. I'll find another product to use--there are so many out there so it won't be difficult. Look, if other women are experiencing problems significant enough to warrant litigation, that's all I need to know. I'm not an odds player and it sounds to me as if it's only a matter of time before this product is bye-bye.

I was a really happy person to find WEN about 2007 with a small purchase of cleansing conditioner product in the lavender. I was a hair dresser at the time and wanted MORE volume and all that was promised - professionally colored, which did not really hang on as the ends were always lighter. I then bought a gallon from QVC and never had one issue also using the treatment spray which revived the curls beautifully.

Then the next gallon thru QVC, the something different was going on. It delivered the same results at first. Then something happened with this burning/cold sensation as it felt refreshing. But after a few more, that feeling was uncomfortable and concerning. Then the itching on top started and areas where the scalp was sore and left a few sore. I took a break for a month or so then returned to WEN. The itching was unbearable with severe flaking, that I was picking the flakes off the front hairline, noticing I had dandruff through the top where the itching was. I had a build-up on the scalp. I then stopped WEN and used a clarifying shampoo which did rid the scaling, but my hair isn't as manageable as WEN. My hair loss has been massive as I save it with a drain strainer.

The hair started to fall out during the shampooing, running my fingers thru the product in the shower. I kept it to show the doc and he was mortified with no explanation.. My other doc recommended biotin zinc after stopping the use of the product. I am going back to my older shampoos when my hair was full and beautiful. I do miss Wen for the ease of styling, shorter drying time and the look and feel of my hair.

Have tried reading reviews and hoping it is all on individuals and their personal allergic reactions. I only use every 3 days, only have used cleansing conditioner 613 and fig. Tried summer peach, didn't care for how thin the product felt in comparison to 613 and fig. I lose normal amount of hair. Never a huge amount as I keep a hair hat to catch all hair from going down drain. Only time large amounts come out when longer time between washes and it's extremely tangled and still never lost LARGE amounts. Still get compliments on thickness. Again though I only use the one product. No sprays or cremes. Just the main cleanser.

Also I never comb my hair out of the shower. I use curl enhancers non Wen brand and only run finger thru and scrunch. Again I have ordered some time ago. Hoping the product hasn't changed since seeing some womens reviews it's not the same as when they first started using. Daughter doesn't use because her dad won't spend but she claims no problems. I have called Wen my only cleansing agent for some time. Hope it continues to work well with no problems for me. Never been thicker or healthier still and I have been monitoring. Hope people are aware every few years one can develop new allergies... hoping these reviews are based on allergies... I noticed after a month or so that we both were losing quite a bit of hair in the shower, especially while running it through our hair. I didn't connect it to the products at first. After a while, my daughter started complaining about burning and flaking on her scalp and was convinced it was because of the Wen. I told her that I would never buy anything that would harm her and had researched the products. She refused to use it anymore and after a few months, she still has discomfort but the burning and flaking has ended. Myself, on the other hand, continued using, thinking that my hair loss was natural at my age.

Towards the end of the summer, I gradually noticed a significant change in volume and realized that I had lost probably 1/3 of my hair since the spring. I stopped using the products and even though my hair is slowly recovering I still have major hair loss to the point that I have resorted to wearing it up to disguise the loss. I am considering having my all hair (all one length to mid back) cut short with layers in an attempt to bolster the volume. I had no idea other people have had this issue and am actually relieved to know there is a cause. I'm very disappointed, having done the research and my due diligence... Or so I thought.

I've blamed it on the weather and age and whatever else I could never thinking for a moment it could have something to do with my hair product. Like most women, I love my long hair. Even though I'm 58 years old, my mother still brushes it and mentioned some patches missing just the other day. Yesterday, she tells me to stop using Wen immediately as she heard there was a class action suit in progress for the very same thing. Holy crap! I immediately started researching and it was true; there is a suit!

My hair has been going through this change for quite awhile and I've been using Wen for about 7-8 years. I thought I was crazy but every shower, the broken hair increases on the drain and all day long I'm finding hair on my clothing and on the floor. If I run my hand through it, I'm left with a hand full of broken tresses. I am not a happy consumer right now because not only did I think I was using a quality product but I thought I was going crazy. When I think of the money I've spent over these years, it makes me sick! On top of which my hair is breaking and thinning along with patches of hair loss. This woman is DONE with Wen and will be contacting the firm handling the law suit!

I have very fine thin hair, I switched to WEN two years ago and haven't looked back. My hair is thicker and very shiny. I love how it makes my hair look and feel and have had no hair loss at all, if anything it helped my hair grow in, it is so much healthier. I wish I could upload before and after pictures, not one complaint from me. Thank you Chaz for an awesome product!

I bought this a few yrs ago in hopes to make my hair healthier. I began using it as soon as I got it, my hair NEVER fell out in the shower or even when I brushed my hair. After about 2 weeks I noticed my hair was falling out when I brushed it. I stopped using it everyday and used it as an on and off treatment, my hair was still falling out even using it in between washes. After a few months passed I stopped using it altogether and that's when my hair stopped falling out! I just put it away in my closet and it still sit in there and it's been a few years now, I tried calling to tell them about my hair falling out from their product but they just gave me a run around and they wouldn't refund my money cause I used a lot but not all of the products.

Bought this product from the TV, used it 3 times in a 2 week period. Could not believe how my hair was thinning and falling out. At first I did not make the connection to the product but then my hairdresser told me about another customer that was using WEN!!! It is taking me forever to correct the damage not to mention the MONEY it has cost me!!

I called the company and demanded to speak to whoever was in charge and of course I'm speaking to whomever answers the phone of 100's of telemarketers. I complained to the person. They claimed their product was safe however gave me a return authorization # to send the product back and they would refund my money. Well the product went back but no refund and they sent me another package in which I refused and returned to sender. Had to call my credit card bank to complain and take the charge off my credit card. I am still spending tons of money to repair the damage that WEN did to my hair. DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT.

Wen products were advertised falsely. I complained many times after my hair became very dry and frizzy. It also started falling out. I would get hand full of hair every time I would wash my hair. It finally switched back to a plain hair product Pantene and my hair is starting to get hydrated and look more healthy. I wasted a lot of money on a product that they kept sending after I asked them to stop. Please warn women of this product.

I had received 2 bottles of wen & styling cream as a gift. I ended up getting rid of the 2nd bottle and 3/4 of the styling cream. When I would wash my hair, my hair was coating my hands when I would rinse it out by the end of the first bottle. I have never had this happen before. My hair was back to normal about 6 months later but its only because I gave up and ended up cutting about 8 inches off to almost a pixie cut just to make me feel like I had hair to work with. Extremely stressful!! I have fine hair so it really showed. I will never buy this product and would never recommend it to anyone.

I watched QVC on several occasions, with Chaz Dean presenting his product WEN, the shampoo that did not lather. After seeing the girl's hair he used the product on QVC, I thought this is what I needed to use on my hair. I did the initial order on 12-06-2014, with 1 automated shipment at about the 6 month period (06-09-2015), to receive the automated second shipment. I have always had a head full of very thick hair. I ordered five, sixteen ounce containers with auto delivery of five more containers, which I received. I used the product for approximately 6 months and started noticing my hair coming out in the shower when I shampooed it. I get my hair trimmed approximately every four to six weeks. My hairdresser mentioned that my hair was getting thinner after about the fourth month. But because I has so much hair I never thought about it too much.

Then about the beginning of October my hair became so thin on top I could barely hold the top back with a baby clasp. There was not enough hair to hold the little clasp in. I was thinking what had I done different that might be causing this. I stopped using the WEN shampoo at this time. I saw my hairdresser again in November just after Thanksgiving, and she was in shock how thin the hair was on top of my head was. Since I stopped using the WEN shampoo, I have noticed little short hairs growing back on top of my head. I have been terribly upset and embarrassed at the loss of my hair, with friends and family commenting about how thin and limp my hair had become, and that this product was misrepresented by not revealing that hair loss could be a possible side effect of its use.

I used Chaz Dean hair products, shampoo and conditioner, I had scalp irritation and a bad odor after just a couple of weeks. I contacted them and they sent out the cucumber version, that was the same except it didn't condition as well but the same irritation and odor. They said I must be allergic to it. I decided to write this review when I saw the news on the product causing hair loss...did they tell everyone who contacted them that they were allergic just like me? How many people told them that they were having problems before it finally got this far? My experience was a year ago so I don't have the receipts any longer.

I started using Wen by Chaz Dean almost immediately after I seen the commercial on tv. I did notice my hair falling out a lot but I thought it was due to menopause. I even started buying Keranique hair regrowth treatment for women. Never did I think my hair loss was from a shampoo I was using. My hair used to be so thick, over the few years I've used Wen my hair has become thinner and thinner. My hair is falling out by the clumps. I'm so glad I happened to be home from work and seen on the News about Wen and people complaining about hair loss. I will personally never use the product again.

I called the company and told them it also made my hair FLATTER and I have very flat straight hair and I never imagined that my hair could look any flatter but this managed to and my hair was also duller!!! The company did take my complaint seriously and wanted all kinds of information of which I gladly gave and they refunded my money.

Hello. About 3 years ago I started using The WEN Shampoo/Conditioner. After using it for a month my scalp became covered in sores and I tried medication shampoo to help get to go away, to no avail. I had to go to my Dermatologist to find out what was causing it. I had to use a Prescription shampoo to get rid of it, and it took months. The Dermatologist told me it was the WEN shampoo and to stop using it. Well, I did stop using it. When I called WEN about it they said that they would refund my money, but they didn't think it was from the WEN product!

Now I see all these other women telling their story and It's the same as mine. I hair has never in the past using all type of shampoo's made my scalp have sores or make my hair fall out like this WEN Shampoo did. I am still having scalp problems and my hair is still falling out more than normal since I used that WEN product. Don't use it REALLY! I threw the bottle away, so I don't have proof other than my Dermatologist bills and what they said.

I am so sad to hear that so many women are having problems with WEN hair care products. I have used it for over 5 years, on virgin hair, and I have a head full of luxurious locks! I am 62 years old an age when hair thins naturally for some, but have no hair loss at all. I read some of those reviews, and they are too similar in composition and tone to be legitimate. I think the large hair care companies are trying to shut WEN down because WEN is cutting into their profits. So I had to speak up and share my positive experience.

If I could have my hair back, my confidence back. It's like my pride is at stake. The Bible states a woman's hair is suppose to cover herself. Thanks to WEN that will not happen now or ever.

I had no idea this was a common problem til now and it all makes perfect sense now. I don't ever want to be around this stuff again!!! I always had very fine hair and had to wear it short because the ends became dry and brittle and eventually broke off. I have been using Wen hair products for almost 4 years and now have shiny, fuller shoulder length hair. Now when I do see a few hairs in the shower it seems like more than it really is because the strands are longer. When shampooing with Wen you need to make sure you lather then rinse thoroughly. There would be no reason your hair would be greasy if you follow the directions. It is a possibility for some people to have an allergic reactions to any number of ingredients in any number of products on the market. I feel sorry for people who have had legitimate problems with Wen. For me, I love Wen and will continue to use it.

I brought my products from a shopping channel. I got a set Dec. 2014 and enjoyed the product that I gifted it to others and had been praising the product for its wonderful softening of my 4B/4C hair. I used the tea tree and bamboo green tea. I was able to cut my wash and detangle process to 15 -20 min rather than 45 min. max. I used the products alternately every 3 -4 weeks or so. My hair really didn't shed much at all in the beginning which I found strange but was happy not losing a whole clump of hair during the washing process.

It was around July, I noticed my hair was shedding and then all of a sudden I had a bald spot in October. Looked up reviews online and to my surprise other people were having the same issue. I was devastated because I had never experienced balding. I was almost in tears and immediately stopped using the product fearing to lose more hair. The spot was clean as a babies bottom and I have pics to prove it. It has been about 2 months and I finally have hair growing in the spot. I guess because I have a lot of hair and it's so coarse it took me longer to see the effects.

I bought a total of 6 bottles of Wen and used them over a year's length. Before using wen, I had very thick and healthy hair but I started to notice that after using it my hair would look thinner and thinner and I thought maybe it was because it was the way the stuff worked but it was actually causing my hair to fall out of my scalp! For over the last two years, I have tried product after product and spent thousands of dollars on products, the laser cap, rogaine, and any product you can think of to try and restore my hair from being so thin now. I am only 22 years old and should not be having this problem.

I went as far as going to the doctor because I feared I had something wrong with me internally. After seeing the doctor and finding that I was completely healthy I wondered if it was a certain product so I switched to organic and I try not to use much on my hair anymore. A lot of these products are bad for you!!! I would like to be reimbursed not only for the money I spent on this product, but also for all the trouble and stress it has caused me for the last 2 years. I keep praying that my hair will grow in thicker and I am absolutely appalled that Chaz Dean and Alyssa Milano would advertise a product that would have such consequential side effects such as this! I too ordered from QVC and had the same experiences as others with the auto-payment and finally cancelled my order a couple of years ago, which was a HUGE hassle. At that point, I had enough product to last a while. I had good experience with the product in the first years, my hair seemed shiny & bouncy when I used it, and didn't notice fallout. I have very fine hair. I started using other shampoos the past years because of scalp build up and salon recommendations. Over the 6 months I went back to Wen since had so much product & it always worked for my hair.

Over this past 5 months, I started having severe breakage and hair loss all over. When I would dry my hair I noticed spots that seemed to show way too much scalp. Then in August I had major breakage. My stylist was even asking why my hair felt/seemed so different. We could not figure out what going on. I took Biotin, vitamins, etc. Recently when I saw the Wen article it hit me that this must be it. I changed nothing else over past months. I have photos where you can see one side of my head has total breakage at ear level. I have stopped using this product now and won't do again.

We were treated by a dermatologist in Philadelphia, Pa. & Wilmington, DE. Both doctors asked what products we were using but neither associated the problem with Wen. My daughter ended up having to wear wigs. I tried to use a wig but went entirely natural. I have bald spots and extreme thinning in the top of my head. Both of us enjoyed full heads of hair prior to experiencing this lost, but didn't recognize the correlation with Wen. We just noticed our hair going down the drain and/or clumps falling out. However, in the past three years, I've noticed my hair thinning and small bald patches. I've always shed quite a bit, but it wasn't growing back. It is not breaking off, it's falling out. I attributed it to aging and stress at first. My stylist mentioned the lawsuit to me and encouraged me to investigate.

I have always purchased from QVC and use either the Fig or the Tuscan Pear. I tried the Six /Thirteen a couple of times and it made my hair almost slimy. Just figured it was the wrong formulation for me. Could there have been a modification to the formula or in the raw materials used to produce the product? Is the WEN sold by QVC the same formulation sold in the Guthy-Renker infomercials? At this point, I am a little afraid to continue to use this product. I hope that more information will become available as this investigation progresses.
