Hello and I ordered a Seagate 2TB Barracuda Internal Desktop Hard Drive 3.5" on June 3, 2015. I assumed it would be shipped within 1 or 2 days but it was not. I kept checking and all it would say is processing. On June 9th I called and cancelled the order then on June 12th they sent the order anyway and charged my bank account. I called them (and you will be put on hold for at least 45 min), and asked why they shipped the order anyway and the customer service person said the cancellation order was sent to the warehouse but they didn't have time to stop the order from being shipped. I found that hard to believe. She also said if I called UPS and told them I would not accept the order UPS would return it to TigerDirect which wasn't true either. I will never buy anything from TigerDirect again! And the BBB to report this problem.

"We are having issues with one of our warehouse" or "Your item has been back-ordered" or "We are trying to authenticate your payment." This is what they will tell you for weeks until you get frustrated and cancel your order. Save yourself the trouble. Buy from any other website. In my case, it's been two weeks since I ordered a $$$ laptop from them. My order status has changed back and forth from "back-ordered" to "processing" several times. The website, like most reviewers point out, still says the item is available. Two weeks since my next day delivery order, I am yet to even know when it will ship out. In these days of expedited guaranteed shipping, do not order from Tiger Direct if you actually want your item.

Placed a order for Asus Tablet Combo pack on May 16, 2015. There were four items in this combo pack. One was shipped and received within 7 days. One was listed and backordered and finally shipped on 6/8/2015 scheduled to arrive on 6/15/2015, one day shy of one month. Tried calling TigerDirect on 6/8/2015 several times. Was placed on hold then calls were dumped within 30 seconds. Sent a email on 6/8/2015 and it has yet to be responded to. Attempted two calls on 6/9/2015 same scenario as before.
Finally called the sales line number and after a 25 minute hold was able to talk to a customer service representative. She was able to tell me that the other two items were on backorder but was unable to give a reason why I hadn't received a backorder notice or why the invoice didn't list the items as on backorder. She was able to tell me one item (the tablet) is scheduled to arrive this week and would be shipped expedited shipping. The other item there was no idea when it would arrive. This is probably the third time I have purchased from TigerDirect. I know they are usually show compared to other online services but this is really unacceptable. This will be the last time I do business with them.

About 5ish years ago I bought a set of computer parts to build my own desktop. The motherboard I received was defective (wouldn't recognize more than 2gb of RAM) and I didn't realize it until after a month so the company would not replace it or anything. Fast forward to three weeks ago and I buy a desktop once more (pre-assembled). It's shipped to me with the power source and hard drive disconnected from the motherboard, a screw missing from the back port on the VGA input, and one or more items (likely screws) left inside the case. After a huge headache getting everything plugged in properly, the computer works fine for two weeks. Then, when I move the computer from one side of my desk to the other, all of a sudden it no longer works. I believe the metal screws rattling around the inside of the case shorted something out (probably the motherboard).
I initially was going to send it in for a replacement to the manufacturer, but then decided to just return it for a refund. I work full time, and was in a huge rush to get it to UPS before they close, so I forgot to include the power cable (valued at about $4). Unfortunately for me, I cannot ship the cable separately, and am now to be charged a 15% restocking fee because of the missing cable. That means this cable is now worth $80. I will never purchase anything from Tiger Direct again. Every time I buy something there is a defective item and/or something is shipped in less than perfect condition which leads to the item becoming defective within a very short period of time. Be wary of this company. I personally will never buy their stuff again. This has been a huge headache for me and their return policies are completely outrageous.

Tiger Direct just happened to have a discount on a new TV I'm looking to buy. So my wife placed the order for me, and of course, using her name. She's bought things from a lot of different websites and never had a problem. So I didn't give it much thought when I asked her to place the order for me. Turned out you can't just buy from them. The address have to be listed on the public records, and YOU have to OWN that place. If not, you have to be able to prove to them that the person lives here with documents. You have to provide them a copy of the buyer's ID card and a utility bill with the address and the buyer's name on it.
First of all, this never happens with ANY other site. I mean would you trust a random site with your sensitive information? Also it's impossible for me to provide, because all utilities are in my name, not hers. I paid, they got the money, but they won't ship the TV. I tried to offer to use letters that was sent to me in the same address but they refused. I asked them to change the buyer's name to me instead, and again they refused. I asked if I can change the shipment address to another location that I own, and again they refused. I asked what can I do then, and the guy suggested cancelling the order and replacing it.
Ok, I'll just cancel and NOT reorder, thank you. I don't trust them with my info, so... order cancelled. Funny, I was just telling my wife of a recent scam where a random seller asks for your ID's copy to "verify" your identity, and pretty soon, you'll have a few accounts opened in your name with negative balances, and the collection department after you. I don't know why Tiger Direct feel the need for this level of validation, but it's way too much trouble.
Plus the hours of frustration on the phone asking a powerless Customer Service Rep what you can do, days and days of delay... uh.... The feeling that you are dealing with someone who is completely useless and just want all of your sensitive information in order for them to do a simple task: send buyer the order they paid for. It's just too much for me. Bye TD, nice to never had done business with you! And NEVER see you again!

Tiger Direct had a deal on a wireless USB adapter. The deal would allow for one per household to receive a $20 rebate which would cover most of the cost. I ordered the piece online but failed to notice that PayPal had my previous address stored as the first possible shipping option for me. Once I received the order confirmation email I noticed this mistake and contacted them immediately, literally a minute or so after placing the order. The person I was eventually able to talk to said he couldn't see my order yet so call back in about 5-10 minutes. I did and after waiting on hold for another 5-10 minutes eventually got another person. The guy was helpful but said he couldn't just cancel the order cause it was already being filled! Filling my order that quickly would be awesome normally but in this case I just needed to cancel the order. He put a notice on the order string "undeliverable" address and said my money would be returned in a few days.
I don't know about you but how is it an order can't be stopped from being mailed if it hasn't left the building yet? I thought ok and placed another order for the same piece but going to my actual address. Well I got that one super fast but there was not sign of my money for the other so I called the customer service to find out when I would be receiving my money for the "undeliverable" and therefore canceled order? I waited on hold for about 10-15 minutes before I was able to speak to someone! After giving him the reference number he then begins to tell me I have received the order so was questioning a refund request! This made my head explode! I was already irritated due to the wait but then I was told I had received the item, at an address I don't live at, and that was suppose to have not been sent in the first place!
I then started to go over every step that I took to cancel the initial order with this guy! He had record of the cancelation request but yet THEY shipped it anyway! Things got a little testy so he hung up on me! I called back and got another ** who began to yell over me while I was trying to explain why this was a mistake THEY made! This IS NOT MY FAULT! I did everything your suppose to do to cancel and order! They made the mistake but yet I'm told I will have to pay for this mistake!?!? He said they were doing an investigation into the matter and would send me an email response with the outcome. I got 2 notices a few days later stating delivery was confirmed for the item! One for the canceled item and one for the one sent to my correct address! No refund for their mistake! Whoever lives in my old address just got a free item I guess! Thanks Tiger Direct! Your customer service is awesome!

I ordered a Daily Deal RAM that had a $5 coupon per stick. Price in cart reflected the discount, but upon checkout the discount showed as applies but didn't reflect in total. Additionally, living in the same city that they ship from (5 minutes away, in fact), I was charged .5% more tax than normal. I may have been late or encountered a system glitch, which is fine. But what really irked me is what followed.
I decided to give the online chat a try. The rep was slow, ignorant (of item pricing, math and local tax regulations) and unresponsive. After more than 30 minutes of going nowhere, I closed the chat and decided to call. The rep was nice enough and tried sorting things out with the "managers." This was all OK until he tried convincing me that the price was right and that sales tax in Florida is 7.5% -- "You can check anywhere. It's 7.5% for all of Florida," he said. No, it's not. It's 6%, and it's 7% in Miami. This bold ignorance is what really got to me. So, I cancelled and called it a day. Soon, they'll receive an email that in fact shows the pricing error I encountered and (hopefully) feel really stupid. Also, hopefully someone in that office will google Miami sales tax and see that what they told me was wrong, and again, (hopefully) feel very, very stupid.

I will never shop here again. I used to shop at Tiger Direct years ago and it got where their order fulfillment sucked. I could not get equipment reliably and in a timely fashion to my customers. So I started using other distributors. One I used for local buys was Compusa. When Tiger Direct bought them out I still used them. Prices were reasonable and I could go pick up products I wanted. Now that they have closed all their stores and gone back to online only I placed an order on 5-14-15 for 2 computers and 2 monitors and as an after thought an external hard drive.
First they held my order pending a verification (even though I had a personal account and a reseller account with them). After I did the verification I was told to look for tracking info to be sent to me. 3 days later I got a notification that the external hard drive had shipped but not the 2 computers and monitors which were what I needed most for my client. I called in and asked about the rest of items to be shipped, they said it should ship in a couple days.
A week later I called in today and was told there was a problem at their warehouse in Ga and they were trying to resolve it but that everything had been delayed. With no notification to clients waiting, and no eta on when items would ship looks like Tiger Direct is back to their old crap of piss poor order fulfillment. I went to another distributor and bought better equipment at comparable prices this morning and product will be here Thursday. Thankfully my customer is not going to drop my business. But I am sure this will weigh heavy in his decision to order with me again. Maybe Tiger Direct can afford to lose clients but as a small business owner I can not!!!

Bought and paid for $400 CPU (debit cleared bank a week ago, Tiger Direct acknowledges that). But they just won't ship it. "Our main distribution center is undergoing some system upgrades." Okay, still waiting... now my paid for order is "backordered" but it's still listed In Stock on their website and at their local store. Their email assures me "The product is in stock." Through a heavy accent, their phone service insists it is out of stock but will ship to me "soon." What does soon mean? They assure they will get me more stock on a date three days in the past. Yes, you read that correctly. They will [future tense] have more stock arriving on a date three days previous [past tense].
Consequently, I can't cancel my order because at some point in the future (or three days in the past) they will have stock. That was what I was told. Escalating my call, the "manager" clarified they should have received a shipment three days prior but can't confirm their inventory. Meanwhile, they still advertise it "In Stock" online and "In Stock" at the local store. Buyer Beware! They will take your money and give you nothing but excuses.

After stringing me alone for a week because of an item not being in stock to only cancel my order without informing me to lying and telling me that it was American Express (which it wasn't I verified) to offering me a different item with overnight shipping to only find out it will arrive next week sometime. Wow, this is and has been the worst customer service and shopping experience to date. I will never buy from them again!

DON'T buy from Tiger Direct! They don't stand behind their products and they use obscure refurbishers who don't stand behind their products, so I am left with a $500 computer that is useless 4 months after I purchased it. By the time I buy a new mother board and pay a technician to install it, I might as well buy a brand new machine from a reputable company!!!

I placed an order for a barebones kit with multiple items and a couple of additional items with it, total value over $1100 on 5/9/2015. Part of my order was canceled, other parts have shipped separately, parts of the order show still "In Process" 9 days later. There are multiple items with rebates, but many of these require the products serial number or the original upc code. Since many have not arrived, cannot apply for the rebates until they do. I have called twice and live chatted once trying to find out what is going on with this order. Got told the parts that were canceled are out of stock and discontinued once, BUT they still show on sale and in stock on the website. Last call I placed I got the rep (**) to reorder the canceled parts and says they will be shipped without charge for shipping.
Still am missing parts, and have received two parts (software disk and processor) in a box that has packing slip claiming I have two pieces of software, the processor AND the power supply in it...4 items on packing slip, two items in box, for which a box with a shipping weight of 0.6 lbs is rather interesting as power supplies are very heavy items. (also note: ALL those four items show as still in Process and have not been invoiced, neither the items received, nor the items not received but on the packing slip) ** said he could not tell what the issue was, but warehouses doing inventory and that should be done Thursday (in 3 more days).
First person I talked to a couple days ago said problems are due to NEW inventory system. Any case, as a professional data analyst and having worked in warehouses before, I know what a load of malarkey that is. I had been a loyal TigerDirect customer for over a decade. But whoever is running the company now (obviously ** is not anymore) is running it straight into the ground with terrible customer service, questionable inventory and order handling, and overall a terrible drop in quality of business and honesty. At this point, I should have received ALL my items according to the shipping promise. A promise which obviously means nothing to them anymore.

I ordered a $160 external hard drive online. The next day I received a phone call from the comically shady phone number of 888-999-8800 and a foreign lady with an accent claimed to be from Tiger Direct and was calling to confirm my billing and shipping addresses. I told her that I was suspicious and would prefer to call the number on the website to "confirm". I asked her if the number she was calling from was listed on the website. She told me it wasn't, which further exacerbated my suspicion.
I called the customer service number on the website today, and spoke to another woman with an indecipherable foreign accent, claiming to be from Miami, FL. She confirmed that I did indeed have to speak to their "credit card department". When I asked to speak to her manager, she flat out refused and demanded to know why I wanted to do so. I finally just cancelled my order. What an onerous and shady process and what an unhelpful customer service department. I will never order from them again. After reading here about the scams they run with the rebates, I'm very glad I didn't complete my order, since the only reason I was ordering from Tiger Direct was because they offered a rebate for this product that would have pushed the price down to $130.

5/12/2015- Ordered an IBM Lenovo Laptop from the website for $309.00. Website clearly stated "IN-STOCK". I placed this order shortly after 8am (EST) and paid for next day delivery. When I looked at the order status on 5/13/2015, it said "being processed, still at warehouse." I called and got some moron who said that I could still receive it on time by end of day. I asked the idiot, "Are you new?" There is no way I would receive it the same day if it HADN'T shipped yet. No delivery.
5/14/2015- Called again as the website says the same thing, "being processed, still at warehouse." Spoke to another moron, and told that idiot to put on a supervisor. Told that the order will not ship for another 24 to 72 hours (business days) due to "upgrades" at their Georgia warehouse. I explained to the moron in charge that I ordered this paid for next day delivery because it was IN STOCK. These idiots love to use the words unfortunately and I am sorry. I said that their upgrades are not my problem and this is not the way to do business.
I strongly urge anyone out there to purchase from someone else as Tiger Direct is not worth buying from. The consumers who keep these idiots in business need to put them out of business. What did they offer me? To refund my shipping costs and a $20.00 gift card. I told them to shove it, that's not enough. I am done with Tiger Direct and the Hindu morons they employ. When they had English speaking AMERICANS working for them they never had this problem!

I ordered an MSI gt80 sli-009 laptop for 3,652.76. The ad said that the item would not ship from a 3rd party warehouse for 24 hours. That is ok with me. I used overnight delivery method. This order took place on 4/28/15. I inquired about my order on 5/1/15 because I had not received a tracking number or sales invoice. I informed Tiger Direct that the item should have already shipped. I was informed that my item would not ship for 3 to 5 business days. I then received a call from Tiger Direct that the item I ordered was not in stock and that they would have to cancel my order. That was fine because I don't feel like I can trust what they say anyway.
Now here is where the problem lies. Tiger Direct told me on the phone that they have released the hold on funds from my account and that I should have access to them. I called my bank and informed them that my account did not reflect the credit to my account. They told me that Tiger Direct has not released the funds. I called Tiger Direct back and I was told due to the amount it could take up to 30 days to return the money to my account. This is why I will never do business with Tiger Direct ever again. I hope I get my money back at least. Overall experience was horrible. I do not suggest anyone order anything from this website. I think what they did was display the item as available just to get the money. Then they tell you they don't have it so they can hold on to your money and keep it in an interest bearing account. Upon receiving the items, I checked on the Internet for users' review of McAfee products. Most of the reviews put McAfee products in poor taste. As such, I decided not to keep the McAfee software. The very next day after receiving it, I called Tiger Direct to inform that I'll be returning the software, and would therefore require an RMA. The customer service rep informed me that Tiger Direct does not accept returns for McAfee products, even if the products are unopened. I stated that Tiger Direct never mentioned that the McAfee software was not returnable. I was rudely informed to contact McAfee directly for returns.
When I contacted McAfee, I was told that McAfee does not accept returns for purchases made on Tiger Direct. Consequently, I returned the Windows 7 software, but was stuck with the McAfee antivirus. I tried to sell the unopened software on eBay for a loss, but no one was interested in buying. I ended up tossing it into the garbage. I guess people are getting wise to McAfee products. I originally ordered an item on August 26, 2014. By mid-September, the item had still not shipped. I had contacted TD numerous times in order to check up on the status of the item (which showed as "in stock" on the website for the duration) and was told that the item was being "processed." Finally on September 12th I cancelled the order by phone -- at this time the item was still being "processed" and had not yet shown as shipped for me or on TD's end. On September 15th, the item arrived at my doorstep. TD generated a manual bill for this order on November 11th, which I contacted them numerous times about (seven as of this writing) demanding payment for an item which had, at this point, been unsolicited (the order had been cancelled -- TD's shipping logistics issues are not my responsibility) and thus in violation of FTC rules regarding unsolicited merchandise.
In January, I offered to return the item to TD so that they would cease sending me letters regarding this item which I had not purchased. On January 30th I shipped the item back to TD using their provided shipping label via a UPS store, which shows as delivered and signed for on February 4th to the "dock" location at their Illinois facility. On February 24th I received a letter from TD collections stating that this was their final notice and that the case would be sent to collections (and CC'd to their legal department) demanding payment in full for an item which (a) had no active order, as it had been cancelled yet TD shipped it anyways (drop shipping is not my responsibility), and (b) had already been returned (complete in original packaging with all included parts) and signed for three weeks prior.
Upon contacting TD's customer service department, at every step of the way I have been assured that I have "nothing to worry about," that "the order has been cancelled," that "you do not need to pay anything," that "I have manually stopped the manual billing of this item," and so on. At every step of the way, this has apparently been a lie, or at the very least, TD's left hand (customer service) isn't talking to the right (collections), and the rest of the body (the warehouse) apparently takes over 3 weeks to inventory returns.
Long story short, here I am five months later and TD is still hassling me to death over a stupid $100 item. At this point I would pay $100 just to get them to go away if it didn't mean giving $100 to a company which rightly shouldn't be allowed to engage in interstate commerce given the terrible practices they engage in. I will absolutely never, under any circumstances, ever engage in business with Tiger Direct again, and I encourage everyone who happens upon this report to do the same, for your own sanity if nothing else.

After we hooked it up the resolution was HORRIBLE and the colors were all off. Called and was told that the tiger direct warranty was off but the manufacturer's wasn't. Manufacturer told us it was tiger direct's problem. Tiger direct gave me several wrong numbers and three weeks into this still have not received a call back from their repair place after leaving numerous calls. Ordered a laptop. My account was debited. Received email to verify my information before product would be shipped. On 3/3/2015, I ordered a laptop from Tiger Direct. The item was HP Pavilion 17-F023NR Notebook PC. I submitted my order online where I received an email confirmation regarding my order. Later that evening, I received an email telling me that my order would have to be verified before it could be shipped. This email was sent 30 minutes after their customer service department closed (9:30 pm). The next morning 3/4/2015, I checked my bank account and saw that my account had been debited $509.88. I called Tiger Direct customer service to attempt to verify whatever information they needed.
The telephone call consisted of me giving every piece of information I had previously submitted the night before and in addition, I had to give my bank's customer service number and be at home so that they could call my residential number to verify it was me. Again. I was put on hold twice. I finally told the CS rep that I have to work in order to pay for the things I buy and that they need to contact me after they sort out whatever issues they are having with my order. I never received a call. I called back and the CS rep told me that she would put me on hold and conference me in with my bank to verify my purchase. I said absolutely not, because my bank already honored the purchase by debiting my account. The issue was with Tiger Direct putting me through all this "verification."
I told the CS rep (I spoke with a "Karen" but I could have talked to others during the multiple phone calls) that I wanted my order cancelled and my account credited by the end of the day or I would be notifying all available agencies regarding this process. She told me that it would take 24-72 hours to credit my account or it could be done immediately if I conferenced in with my bank because my bank would not authorize any information to Tiger Direct (of which I am thankful my bank wouldn't do this given the circus Tiger Direct's customer service is!). I again refused to do a conference with my bank and Tiger Direct because my bank honored the debit, but Tiger Direct was not honoring the providing of product after I had verified my information. I told the CS rep, again, that I wanted my account credited by the end of the day.
They took my money almost immediately after placing the order, wasted my time "verifying" my information, and then are making me wait to get my money back. I want my $509.98 from Tiger Direct credited back the way I paid for it.

I open the TV upon received, and the TV back panel is complete malfunction!! There are strange lines and batches of blacks all over the screen. I called the customer support phone line, waited for over 20 minutes AFTER spoken to a person whom I've provided him with my order number. Took longer than expected to get my smart DVD player that I ordered and I had to go pick it up at the post office before it was returned to the shipper because they didn't include my unit #. When I opened the package, it was missing the remote control, so it's totally useless. I called TigerDirect and they told me there was nothing they could do, that I need to call the manufacturer directly. The manufacturer told me it would take another 7 to 10 business days before I would get the remote. So now I'm looking at almost a month before I can even use the DVD player. And I'm wondering if the player is even brand new since it was shipped with a battery but no remote.

I finally found the form online...they didn't send it with the laptop; you have to look for it and it wasn't simple. The form also requires that I send in the UPC code cut from the box it shipped in. Guess what? The box Tiger Direct shipped it in has no UPC code on it, just a plain white box. I called Tiger Direct and was told by Alex that I have to call their "Rebate Center" for any issues. The Rebate Center is automated, a complete waste of time.
Called Tiger Direct back and was told by manager Jesus that I would need to file for the rebate without the UPC, then contact them again "when it gets rejected" so they can "fight the rejection on the rebate claim". Of course, God only knows how long that will take and I only have 30 days to return the item. After reading other reviews on here, I now realize I'm never going to see my rebate and by the time they notify me of that, it will be too late to return the laptop. I'm returning the laptop today for a refund and writing to warn others that this is a Rebate Scam. I will never do business with these scammers again.

Just last week, my husband bought two computer cases from Tiger Direct. As anyone knows, you can't really build an effective computer without a case - so it was crucial to the build to have them before the weekend. We paid over $100 for overnight shipping. They arrived on the Friday, but one case was the wrong model. My husband went over our invoice to see where the mix-up occurred, but everything was entered correctly.
He got on LiveChat with a representative named Roger. Roger informed my husband that the only thing he was able to do was to return the case for a refund. My husband was not satisfied with that answer, explaining that this was a time-sensitive shipment, wanted a new case shipped out, and wanted a refund for the original shipping costs. He was denied. He asked that a manager call him, and Roger promised that a manager would be giving us a call within 15 minutes.
An hour went by and we still had not received a call from a manager. I called customer service and it took both myself and my husband to speak to the representative for about 15 minutes before he transferred us to a manager. My husband explained the WHOLE situation yet again to this manager, who, during the conversation put him on hold a handful of times, came back off hold to speak with my husband about another client's order - obviously getting the lines mixed up, AND he raised his voice to him. The conclusion of speaking to the manager was this: a new case would be shipped out to us OVERNIGHT/SATURDAY delivery at NO COST; a printing label would be emailed, and once the new case was received, we would ship the old case back at NO COST; a refund of $107.28 for the original overnight shipping would be refunded to us.
This all happened on Friday. It is now Monday evening. We did not receive the new case. Calls and emails to the company went unanswered. We have not received any refund. In fact, we were charged an extra $109.00 (less a $10 discount) for the replacement case - that is ON HOLD, and has not shipped. My husband and I are terribly disappointed. I encourage everyone to stay away from these crooks. We didn't, and it was a $500 mistake on our part.

I should background this by saying that I commonly order computer related products from Amazon, Newegg, or BestBuy. My local Tiger Direct brick and mortar store did not have the exact motherboard in stock that I wanted (in fact that had no ITX motherboards in stock) so I ordered online from tigerdirect.com. The price seemed good and the product was what I wanted. I got an email with my confirmation and was billed immediately - I expected a delivery notification soon. I notice that when I check my order it now says 5-10 business days to ship. This is clearly not acceptable to me so I call to cancel the order.
Customer service at this point cannot tell me anything about my order other than it is with a third party and that they can't cancel the order. They can't tell me who the third party is, if the item is in stock, if it will ship, when it will ship or where it ships from. They can only tell me that it is too late to cancel the order. The customer service rep recommends I refuse the delivery as a way to possibly return the item. I am not comfortable with this as I would like a refund and having a product somewhere within a shipping system is no way to get a refund quickly.
Two days later, I get an email from Tiger Direct that my order will ship tomorrow. Now having information and thinking that I can use this to inform customer service that the order had not shipped and that I'd now like to cancel before it ships, I call in, wait on the phone for 30 minutes only to find out that it is too late to cancel my order. The person on the phone says that they can try to send a ticket but they can't guarantee anything. Sure enough the next day I get my tracking number. It is now a week after I ordered with another week of ground shipping. I receive the item and call customer service to return the item. After 30 minutes on hold (we are experiencing longer than average wait times...) they recommend I take it to the local store for a return. I figure, what the heck, I will go into the local store, make the return and buy some more stuff while I am there. The local store cannot accept the return; because you guessed it, they do not stock the item. It is from a third party warehouse.
I then go home to call customer service to RMA this. After 30 minutes on the phone they tell me that they will request an RMA but that may take 48 hours. They give me a ticket number and promise to get back to me. 3 days later after hearing nothing I call back, 30 minutes on the phone and get my RMA. I ship UPS tracking with a cost of $15 out of my pocket to be sure I have tracking. Now that I know the address of the warehouse I know it takes 3 days to ship UPS ground (why initially was it a week???). I track the item and it arrives at the warehouse. I wait 3 more days and don't hear anything. I call customer service. 30 minutes of longer than average wait times and the person on the phone cannot do anything unless I can provide the tracking number. What? I don't have it with me so I have to call again with all of the info, my order number, RMA number, UPS tracking number (you KNOW they wished I sent it USPS with no tracking) and after 45 minutes of longer than average wait times, they check the tracking and decide to issue a refund. They give me a precious reference number (these are useless) and promise a refund within 24 -48 hours. I will have to check tomorrow to see if I get it. I am not hopeful.
It has been a month since I ordered. I had to call several times to do things that other merchants can handle online seamlessly. If I get my money back I will. If you want to buy from Tigerdirect, buy in store only. Avoid online because they use third party sellers that they seem to have no control over or even have the ability to contact. When it took the tracking number for them to tell if the item was returned I was convinced there are major issues.

At least one week later, the order finally got cancelled and the money had not been refunded yet. Now the support guy replied that it still requires several days to get the money refunded. It is quite ridiculous that it took more than one month to find out there was out of stock, and cancel the order, and refund the money. What a poor seller. It was my first time of buying thing from this seller and I never saw a online seller likes that.

Pending charges on my bank account debit card for $199.35 to Tiger Direct. Did not charge this. You would think if it was pending and I am the one with the card no, address, PIN, 3-digit code on the back, correct name they could find in their system. They said they had no one in their system with my name. Not sure how this went but something is very strange. Wells Fargo had to cancel my debit card and I have filed a claim.

Worst order ever! I ordered a gaming computer for my son on 12/9/14, so it would arrive with plenty of time to spare for Christmas. I repeatedly called to check on where it was. I was told that it was to sent by a third party vendor and they really didn't have any control over that and by 12/21/14 the Saturday before Christmas (on Wednesday) I was freaking out. I called and got a really nice representative who said that they would replace the computer with a comparable one for the same price and get it send right away to me so that it would arrive by Tuesday. Well... That didn't happen, because we got disconnected and then I couldn't get anyone else at that place to also want to honor what that person said to me. I called back three times until I got someone who would at least see that a comparable device was put into my account and read what had previously happened. Then they told me that I would have to pay the extra 100 dollars difference between these items and then I got really mad and asked to speak to a manager. That went on until he finally agreed to cover the cost of the shipping, but I still had to pay another $80 over the cost. I feel like I got scammed with the old bait and switch!! WARNING!!!!!

Wow! Is all I can say about this place. Tiger Direct has the WORST return policy among every store I have been to. We bought a 55 inch Samsung LED and it broke in less than 3 weeks. We had the original receipt, but recycled the 6 foot box. We spoke to the Store Manager over the phone and told him about our broken 55 inch Samsung TV. The Store Manager promised us that if we returned it before 30 days we would be able to exchange it for the same TV, however, we would not have a box, because they needed the box to return the broken TV back to Samsung. We agreed. We were told by the Store Manager that they were going to write notes under our name in the computer so we wouldn't have trouble exchanging the TV. We were also promised that the Store Manager will write notes in the computer under our customer name so we wouldn't experience any hassle for returning the TV.
Guess what? We drove all the way to Tiger Direct in Naperville, IL and spoke to the same store manager that promised us a new TV. He went back on his word and said he can't do it. Not only this, he lied to us. He told us that he NEVER said we can return our TV without a box. We argued and still he lied. Now we have to deal with Samsung and hope they will fix our broken TV that cost us $1,200! We will never go back to Tiger Direct again! Instead, we will buy our electronics from FRY'S Electronics from now on.

I have ordered from Tiger Direct infrequently in the past. Most of my e-mail orders are from Amazon.Com because I know if there is a problem, Amazon will quickly and without hassle correct it. I made the serious mistake ordering from Tiger Direct in December. The prices were good and I would save paying sales tax. On the first order, I received a tablet that was supposed to have a full rebate. Guess what? No rebate form is available! The order was supposed to include McAfee anti-virus software. It did not, but I was charged $30.
The second order, which arrived a few days later, was another tablet, that was supposed to have two rebates with it. No rebate for the tablet on the Tiger site. Two more McAfee anti-virus software programs were included. I only ordered one! I did find out that the rebate on this program is limited to ONE HOUSEHOLD. I also ordered and received a PNY 64 GB flash drive, which was supposed to have a rebate for the full cost. Guess what! No rebate is available at the Tiger Direct rebate center! I then wanted to return the tablets, but Tiger Direct says no. I tried several times to call them but they are experiencing a "high call volume," which is probably their way of avoiding unhappy customers. These people are crooks. Unless you want to waste a lot of time correcting their (probably) on-purpose mistakes to your order--avoid them!

I ordered the Black Friday Playstation 4 bundle that came with 2 games from them for $375.00 before shipping. The item showed as in stock for two days after placing my order. Wondering when my order would be shipped, I called them and they told me it was back ordered. It has been 2 weeks so I called again to see if there was an update. They told me they might be getting a new shipment on Monday, December 15th and to try then. If there was not a shipment, I was told I would be able to get a comparable item for the same price.
When I called on Monday they told me they would not be getting any more shipments of this item. Their solution was for me to pay full price for a Playstation 4 with no games which is $399 (which is not a comparable item or price) or buy another bundle at $450 which came with 2 different games (not a comparable price) and this was the best they could do (essentially nothing).
After further discussion the most they were willing to offer was a $20 gift card for my next purchase. So it would not even apply to this current order. I can't even get my original order, why would I even order from here again, especially when there is absolutely no incentive. The bundle is now sold out everywhere and I could have easily gotten this from another retailer had TigerDirect not been deceitful in the amount of stock they actually had. I will never be ordering from them again and will be advising my friends and family to do the same. I now have to scramble last minute to get my son a Christmas gift in which I ordered well in advance.

I apologize this is a bit long, but please read through it all. It just baffles me how a company still operates with customer service like theirs. Anyone looking for computer parts - avoid TigerDirect like the plague. This was my first experience with TD and will definitely be the last. I purchased a SSD (solid state hard drive) over black Friday weekend (11/28/14). The promotion was for a Samsung evo 840 SSD and a Far Cry 4 digital download.
After my purchase was completed and receiving all confirmation emails with no promo code, I called into TD to inform them no promo code for my Far Cry 4 was in my emails. The rep told me that a promo coupon would be in my package when it physically arrives. As I deal with Newegg primarily, this is what they do as well (send promo code with item) so I said alright and ended my call. This was 11/28/2014.
My package arrived 3 days past the expected "delivery date." I opened my package and lo and behold no promo coupon. So I call in and explain the situation. The rep assures me that an email with a code will be sent within 24 hours. 48 hours go by, still nothing. I call for the following 3 days, every rep telling me the same thing, promising me an email within 24 hours. On the 4th day I was extremely frustrated by the "beating-around-the bush tactics" by the reps at TD. So I call in again determined to get an affirmative answer on what the heck is going on.
I get a male rep on the phone. From the moment he answers the call I hear that dreading tone of a customer service rep that wants to gouge his eyes out cause he hates his job with a passion (Great!). I explain the situation to the rep, he places me on hold for 8 minutes, comes back on the line and tells me "I checked our phone logs and I do not see that you called in 3 times like you state." I tell the rep that I called in the past 3 days and why he doesn't have my call logs is completely irrelevant to resolving the matter at hand. He continues to rant about "if you really called in 3 times I would have it in my system, so I doubt that you actually called in 3 times about this matter." Holy Jesus what is this, are they calling me a liar?! I told the rep to do his job, which is to take care of the customer and alleviate the matter at hand, not question a customer spending his hard earned dollars with them and the validity of how many times I called in. Apparently, arguing about the amount times I called in is more important to TD reps than resolving an ongoing problem. After the conversation was going nowhere, I hung up and decided to call in again for another rep. What happened next just blew my mind.
I understand it’s the holidays, but literally 32 min later a rep finally comes on the line. I say please look at the notes on my account because I do not want to explain the situation for the 20th time. I am placed on another 10 min hold and the rep finally comes back on the line (this time it’s a female Indian rep). She tells me "Sir I looked on our website and there is no promotion for Far Cry 4 with the SSD." I explain to her that the purchase was made on 11/28 over black friday and that would explain why her looking right now on their website would not show that promo. So I tell her to check the promotion under my actual order date on 11/28.
Another 10 min hold. She comes back on the line to tell me she checked her system for 11/28 and there was never a promo with Far Cry 4 with my SSD EVER! Now I am pissed off! She tells me there is nothing more she can do and tries to end the call. I said, “no way am I leaving this matter like this” and to escalate the issue to a supervisor now! I get a supervisor on the phone and he is singing the same tune as all his reps, refusing to help me and stating that his reps already checked and that he doesn't need to check himself. WOW, REALLY?! This shows how lazy and careless these people are from their staff all the way on up to their supervisors.
Thank goodness I record all my calls with big companies (dealing with comcast and all their BS I downloaded a call log app for my phone). Realizing the conversation was once again going nowhere I inform the supervisor if that is how he wants to play it, that I would submit all my voice recorded calls to my lawyer and see what he has to say about their company and reps false advertising and bs'ing their consumers.
I told him I have every call recorded of me calling in countless times to multiple reps claiming that I will receive my code within 24 hours. Now why on Earth would multiple reps, days on end, tell me I would receive a promo code that never existed? That's right BUSTED! The supervisor changes his tune instantaneously and offers me a $20 gift card for a game that is selling for $59.99 on their website (what a joke). I say no way is that going to fly with me for all the headache and bs they put me through. I tell him I will take a gift card for the price of the game on their website ($59.99). He tells me the most he can request is $50 and that it would need manager approval. I tell him I will accept a $50 gift card. He assures me he will resolve the matter by Monday and personally call me back (This was a Friday).
Today is now Wednesday 12/17/14. No call, go figure. I called in about an hour ago this morning. I ask the rep to speak to the supervisor I dealt with prior. He looks on my notes and tells me there's no way I will get my $50 gift card. I responded by saying "who are you to tell me that? Transfer me to the supervisor dealing with my matter." He says that supervisor is not working and that he would transfer me to another supervisor. He transfers me to a dead end mail box that ends the call! OMG!
I call in again, get a supervisor on the line, explain I have recorded calls and he says "I just checked and finally got an update that sony will be sending out more licenses for the game." He refuses to even talk about the $50 gift card since the game is "free under promotion" and that he will not honor it and I just have to wait until the licenses come again. What a crock of crap. I say “I want some type of extra compensation for the amount of time and bs I had to deal with.” Dead end road. I ended up just hanging up on the promise for an email within 24 hours with my promo code.
If there is a way for me to post the calls I would be more than happy to provide them. I am still going to run this by my lawyer and see if we have a strong enough case for me to take these guys to court or something. Although, it will probably be a waste of my time and cost me more in legal fees than it would be worth for myself. This is how big companies screw over us, the consumer, the people that keep their business afloat.
It is obvious this company doesn't give two poops about their consumer's. We need to not give companies like this any business. Trying to save $30 and purchasing a product from TD because of a game I really wanted just gave me 100 gray hairs and high blood pressure. Learn from my mistake people, never order from TigerDirect. Sometimes it's worth spending the extra coin for good service/products. I will never, ever, ever order from this pos company again. I will post on as many places I can about my horrible experience with this company. Thanks for reading and Happy Holidays.

Tiger is by far the worst company I have ever ever dealt with and truly, the grave will see me before tiger does again. I ordered a refurbished system 10/10/14. When it came, the front cover was open/Broken - the system wouldn't stay on; the front peg inside was broken; it appeared someone had used superglue to attach it. I returned it. As of 11/14/14 no replacement received. So I called; per their rep "the return wasn't processed correctly" so sorry for the inconvenience. They shipped another. It has a pirated version of windows, so I had to buy another. Then, the Office I purchased wouldn't register online as it was on the returned item. I contacted support at tiger; they said to tell microsoft I had returned the item. To no avail, so I ordered another immediately via amazon. I couldn't afford my staff to be down yet another month!
After 13 emails all stating "high call volume due to the holidays and so sorry, don't hesitate to contact us if you need assistance", I called, DID an online chat and all but hey - apologies ought to be worth the time on the phone, emails, chat and downtime, right? Seems their reps can't even read. I thought the emails and calls and chats were me contacting them?!?!?!? Now, on 12/16 I see they are sending me a free copy of office; I needed it a month ago, so I ordered it. This free copy of office will do me absolutely no good whatsoever, although I guess it will look pretty in my desk.
I will never as long as I live, ever buy anything from tiger. Ever. I have sent my clients all the emails and chats as well as names of support reps and have advised them to do the same. I could have bought a brand new system for less than I spent on this tiger debacle, not to mention the one month downtime. Stick to newegg or walmart. Don't waste your time or money - they do not care about you - or even selling a product as advertised. Hmm.... I thought this sort of thing was illegal - I have advised microsoft they are shipping out refurbished computers with pirated software contained therein.

I am teaching customer service at a university, and should probably be thankful that TigerDirect provided me with such a perfect, textbook example of miscommunication between a company and its delivery subcontractor - with the customer caught in the middle. Purolator called me to let me know that the item (a TV) would not be delivered, because it was broken. This was following two weeks of patiently waiting for the item to be delivered, supposedly because they did not have a correct delivery address (which was not the case). As I asked Purolator if they had informed TigerDirect of this issue, they told me that it'd be up to me to call TigerDirect to let them know. I obliged, but the TigerDirect operator did not trust me and called Purolator to confirm.
After a 25min wait, we eventually got a conference call with Purolator, to be told that Purolator HQ had not heard of any issue with the parcel. And they were unable to call their local Purolator depot (the one who had called me) to confirm that indeed the item had been broken. Will I be refunded for this issue? I am not even sure at the point. What I am sure of, is that I will not buy anymore from TigerDirect, until they have put their act together and have selected another delivery company. Miscommunication between TigerDirect & Purolator, + miscommunication within Purolator --> Don't buy from that company, unless you have lots of time to waste going back and forth between that company and their outsourced delivery service.

Their website says in stock items are shipped within 24hrs and my item was 'IN STOCK" at the time of order and still shows it in stock as of 12/11. On their website says my order was sent to a 'DROP SHIPPER', a 3rd party warehouse for processing and you will be notified when item ships. Why was this done when it shows my item in stock? Why 4 days later still shows item has not shipped and they give you no link or info for this 3rd party warehouse shipper and I paid for shipping.
I have called their phone support only to hear an endless loop of "our call volume is higher than normal and have increased customer wait times and go to our website and look up your question there." I ordered an ELECTRONIC gift card with them. Asked them to cancel it because I wanted to use a different credit card. Rep tells me it takes up to 24-48 hours which gets me asking WHY since it is an electronic gift card. All you have to do is NOT SEND IT. Guess what happens the NEXT day, the gift card is sent. I would understand if it was a physical gift card and it was already being packaged in the warehouse, but an ELECTRONIC one?! Just don't email it! SO STUPID. Their request for cancellation is just a request NOT a cancellation at all. Just a way for them to stop talking to you and your order ships anyways.

A few days ago, I went to Tiger Direct to buy some hardware and got initially sidetracked with the bargain bins. There were some flip-open boxes with $11.00 LED flash lights. As I was was exploring one of them, I was approached by one of the staff but he then stopped about 10 feet away, stared at me and in a hostile manner (glaring at me) said to me, "How can I help you?". I was quite taken aback by the intense "vibes" and wasn't quite sure why I was feeling threatened. I responded by saying, "Not really, I'm just looking". The next thing he said to me "floored me". He said, and I quote, "I don't appreciate you opening my packages". Wow, really? This was obviously the source of his hostility. Yes, I had carefully opened the box. There was no tape or wrapping that could be damaged in any way and the product was loosely placed a non-sealed plastic bag.
I then left the store but before I did so, I made it known to this "sales" guy that I didn't appreciate his approach in the matter. He said it was "store policy". Really? It's not like I had unpackaged a sealed box or a computer or tore open an encapsulated circuit board. It was a plastic flashlight on the bargain table!!!!! But, this really isn't the point. I have shopped many times at this particular Tiger Direct and not once have I ever encountered this type of unprofessional treatment a customer. I feel very disturbed by this encounter and I'm not sure where I should lodge my complaint except here. I can tell you, that no matter what I said to the guy (including, I would like to speak with the manager), it fell on deaf ears.
Based on other comments I have heard, this one can be added to the large heap of customer service complaints. Is this the type of customer service I can continue to expect from Tiger Direct? BTW, if Tiger Direct is listening, I left the Burlington store and took my business to a local computer store and purchased the hardware I wanted to buy elsewhere. I asked him if in the event I didn't like the tv if I could return it and he said yes within 30 days but he never mentioned the restocking fee. Manager didn't want to help, he just said "bottom line no matter what I said it wasn't going to change anything that I still had to pay the 15%" in a not very professional manner. I'm very disgusted with the tiger direct customer service, they don't try their best at succeeding in customer satisfaction, in fact it is by far the worst experience I've ever had with a company. Please be aware of "Tiger Direct." I strongly recommend you not to buy from them as they will rip you off.

Our son’s birthday is Nov. 11 & all that he asked for was a gift card from TigerDirect. The night before, I made the online purchase for a $200 gift certificate & checked the box to have it delivered to his email. I received a confirmation email & all of the information that I gave was correct. Simple... purchaser info, receiver info, confirmation number. The next day came & went & no email certificate. I checked my banking, and the charge was there so I gave them a call. "I'm so sorry ma'am, but this order has been canceled". What? Apparently, they tried calling me to verify the transaction, but my phone never rang (I'm never without my phone, no missed calls, no VM). When no one answered, they canceled the transaction without notifying anyone.
Our conversation was over an HOUR long, with, "Please, may you hold for 2-5 minutes while I check on that" every 10 minutes. I kept calm. I spoke nicely. I just wanted the certificate. I requested a supervisor & THOUGHT that we had the 'problem' solved. She resubmitted the order & all was well. I asked when he would receive the GC & was transferred to Customer Service for the answer... which sent me all the way back to the beginning... again! I just took a deep breath, and proceeded to order from what was now my 5th agent. When the order was done, he stated that it would be about a week before it was delivered due to my credit card being charged, credited, and charged again. I said, "Ya know what, just cancel it. This is absolute nonsense."
I called our son, informed him of the disaster, & requested ANY other site but these people. He still wanted TD. No problem. It's his birthday. I got back online, ordered another one, received yet another confirmation, and waited. On the 16TH, still no GC. No email. No phone call. I called them, and guess what?? Yep! "We're sorry ma'am but this order has been canceled". GRRRR!!

I noticed a mysterious charge on my account last night and I called my credit card company to cancel my card and report fraud. I called Tigerdirect.com this morning trying to see who used my card and where the purchase was going to. Not only they refused to help me with the information of the thief, they are also very rude. The person who answered my call was like "It's call FRAUD, you call your credit card company to deal with it. We are not allowed to provide information of our customers to anyone other than your credit card company." I was like, "But it was my card that the thief has used, I have all the right to find out who used my card." And he said, "Again it is FRAUD, you call your credit card company for FRAUD." I was speechless... so I could only ask for his name... and the name is NEAL... I'm not sure if it is a real name either.
Afterwards... I tried contacting the online chat for assistance to see if I can get a different response that someone better trained would help me. And I was told to call a phone number to their department that deals with FRAUDS. So I did call, and reaches a voice mail designated for people like me (victims of fraud). 1-305-415-2205. Just listen to this voice mail, you will feel something's wrong with this company. It feels like they always have people calling about fraudulent orders. I'm sure best buy or walmart or other bigger companies do not have a line designated just to calm down the victims of fraudulent orders, and ask them to leave it to credit card company and law enforcement to deal with it. If I can summarize my experience with tiger direct in one word... it is "FISHY."

On 11/08/2014, I went to Tiger Direct to physically look at the shelf prices. It was a drive from Mansfield, TX to Mid-Cities Hurst area. I was happy to see that the items I was looking for were a bit cheaper. I thought to myself that when payday comes I will return and pick up the item/s. I returned the next week, on 11/14/2014 and looked once again at the price tags. The price tag for the power supply I wanted in BIG BOLD PRINT stated $39.99. There were three lines highlighted in small print that stated that the manufacturer would honor a $20.00 rebate. I took the item to the store where the nice yet socially inept cashier began to tell me about the 2 store offered warranties. In his dialogue he told me that one of them would possibly cut me a check for $60.00. At this time I realized the price he was going to charge me was $59.99. I told him to hold on and I went to get the price marker that was for the product. The tag stated retail $89.99. Nowhere on the tag did it say $59.99. I took the tag to the manager where I was told that all the tags reflect the selling price MINUS the manufacturer's rebate, not the store's rebate (not offered).
Small recap on this; They mark the tags with the price that you will eventually pay IF you get to receive the rebate which this particular rebate expires on 11/15/2014 yet, with the receipt the Manufacturer will honor. Despite the rebate they consistently lie about the price of the item and mislead you into thinking you are getting a better deal than you will at check out. I have only been a consumer for 35 of my measly years on this planet yet it has been my experience that stores will honor the price on the tag. This manager WOULD NOT! He continued to reroute the conversation and would not admit how deceiving this is nor would he honor the tag. I will NEVER shop at Tiger Direct again as they lie to you without even saying a word. There is no telling what else they lie about. I suppose this is why they are no longer in business in many areas in brick and mortar just like they failed in Arlington, TX. I imagine they will fail here too!

In a few more weeks I got a notification that my order was canceled, very helpful. I called customer service and they said that they could give me the same item but different color, for a larger total price. The order I placed was a good deal just because it was coming with rebate (30$). Representative said that he can't honor it and only could give me the same item for $59.99. Beware that if you order from them you could waste a month of your time and get nothing. The company has very poor inventory track and could get more orders than stock. I recently purchased a Windows 7/McAfee Antivirus rebate combo with a $60.00 rebate from Tiger Direct. A really good deal (or so I thought). This complaint is more about McAfee's underhanded rebate practices, but since this rebate is sponsored by Tiger Direct, I am afraid they have some culpability in this matter. This rebate required the normal items, receipt, bar codes, rebate form etc but it also required a person to turn on the McAfee auto-renew feature of the anti-virus subscription for 10 months out of the 12 month subscription, with credit card of course. McAfee is betting that you will forget to turn it off and you will be charged continuously for yearly subscriptions from that point on. This is a very unethical way of doing business. I really like Tiger Direct and feel that they should not sponsor these kinds of underhanded rebates. I am very disappointed with Tiger Direct and feel they should deny supporting these kinds of rebates.

On September 8, 2014, I purchased the following product or service: Toshiba Tecra A50-A1550 from your online store. My order number is **. I purchased it on 9/8/14 and paid for next day air shipping. The full total with shipping was $653.56. I received the product on 9/10/14. I took the product out of the box and noticed it was installed with the operating system I had requested - Windows 7 Professional 64 bit. I noticed that nowhere on the laptop, in/on the box, or recovery media that contained my Windows serial key sticker. I inserted the recovery discs that were shipped with it to update software drivers on the system and the recovery discs installed a different operating system I did not want - Windows 8.1 pro. I used an image file directly from the Microsoft website to revert it back to Windows 7. Now it will no longer authorize my license I already paid for. I contacted Toshiba, Microsoft, and Tiger Direct for two or more hour increments over multiple days via chat support, phone, and e-mail.
After 5 days with extensive hours of time lost, I now have to send it back to your company with ground shipping not next day air and wait for you to send me another. I asked your "customer service" if they could send me a return label with next day air shipping back to you. I explained my time constraints and need to get this resolved quicker because I am a college student and need it for 3 of my courses I am enrolled in. They said, "no you can only send it ground back to us". All of this is a huge waste of time and convenience and you don't even offer anything as simple as faster shipping back to them for a first (and last) time customer. The return label did not authorize pickup from my home. I had to print it out and drive 40 minutes to the closest drop-off location. I called to complain about that, and was told I could get a call from UPS in 3-5 days to set that up. Again, more inconsideration about my time table. I called again on 9/16/14 because I wanted to check the shipping status of the order I was sending back to see when you would receive it because the UPS website was not allowing me to track it.
I was informed that it would be back in your possession on 9/17/14. I was also regrettably informed that it would take 3-5 days for you to inspect it and then ship the replacement out to me. Unfortunately, your company policy/procedures clearly have no concern or worry or care for the time already lost or inconvenience to the consumer. It has been a terrible amount of time and patience lost dealing with this issue. There is clearly a lack of regard to display customer service for a first time customer. You do not have 24 hour support. You do have 24 hour ordering and sales however. I contacted you and was told to call Toshiba or Microsoft to correct the issue. After days of calling your company, Toshiba, and Microsoft non-stop it turns out that I had to return it to you to have it replaced. I informed the customer service agent I was a student with time constraints and I didn't want to have to return it all because of a stupid serial key.
To resolve the problem, I would like the following to take place: Please issue a price reduction/partial refund on this purchase. Please also offer the same shipping for returns/replacements the same as the item is shipped to the customer with pickup by the carrier within 1 or 2 days at a customer's house. Please process items returned to you faster than 3-5 business days to send replacements in a more timely manner - not only for first time customers, but existing ones as well. Please do not install further OEM software as OEM-SLP (system locked preinstallation). If there is a mechanical failure on the hard drive, installing a new one would present the same issue I have faced now with the key not being able to be authenticated by Microsoft. Microsoft does not sell Windows 7 keys any longer and Toshiba does not ship them with that model of laptop. If that is an issue from the Toshiba side, then refuse to resell their products unless they address this issue. Please figure out a way to offer 24 hour live support via chat or phone for these issues. Please get an outside consultant for how to train your employees and policy making department on customer service.
I look forward to your reply and a resolution to my problem, and will wait until September 28, 2014 before seeking help from a consumer protection agency, the Better Business Bureau, or an attorney. Please contact me at the above address, e-mail address associated with my order, or by phone at **. After reading a lot of these posts it looks like I'm going to be hosed though. Good thing I can check the little box to have an attorney contact me about my complaint!

January 15, 2014, I originally came in looking to buy RAM for a laptop upgrade. After looking in what associates call "the parts room" and not getting help, I looked for a manager. I found Jeff who was the tech manager there and he grabbed a sales associate who actually knew his stuff. The guys name was Thomas. I had an Acer aspire one and I knew I could upgrade the ram up to 4 but wanted to try 8. I asked Thomas if he knew if it would work and told me it should work. I asked if they installed ram and said they did for just $10. Doesn't include a full system check but only boot which was fine. Bought the ram, paid the labor and long behold it worked. There was a discrepancy with the price. The tag said $89.99 but it rang up as $119.99. They matched the price of the ram (shocking). Not too bad considering how much prices change at that store. After that Thomas asked if I needed anything else, and while I had him, asked about upgrading and rebuilding my PC. He quoted me $1400 with all the parts I wanted.
I decided to pick his brain. I asked him why no sales associate wanted to help me. (I'm only 21 and often dress like a slum), he actually said some of the associates (he gave me specific named but I'll keep those disclosed) are not familiar with specific PC parts. Only a few people seem like they know what they're doing there. (Surprise surprise) he explained that corporate demands they meet goals for store services such as the extended warranty and antivirus. They also only work off commission. It seems this company puts a burden on their employees without proper training. This includes but is not limited to, correct customer service, product knowledge, logistics, motivation, and research tools. No wonder its a pain in the ** to get anything there at times.
Regardless Jeff the manager on duty made sure I left satisfied, asked if I needed anything else. I went back months later to build a rad PC. A couple of things I asked Thomas (always will buy from him) if they could price match new egg and best buy prices. The case on newegg that I wanted was a corsair 750d and they had it on sale for $130, tiger direct had it for $159. They couldn't price match online stores because of the nature of the business. Online stores don't pay for rent, air conditioning and other such utilities. Local stores do. Makes sense. They were able to price match some Logitech headphones from best buy. Picked up G35's for a hundred bucks. However, during my transaction, Thomas thanked me and left. A very nosy employee asked me why I didn't get extended warranties on the builds. He then attempted to sell me $400 worth of warranty for all my parts, plus antivirus software. Probably this is where he makes his money if he I'd that hungry. I declined but he was forceful. I thanked him for the offer but I declined. Now I understand why this company is failing, they're greedy.
Talking more to Thomas, he agreed that employees often misinform customers about services and need to be properly trained on clarifying specifics. Probably why the reviews for this place can be **. Continuity among stores is lacking. I feel like this company could be back to who they used to be if change started from the top down. Needless to say once you find a good associate from this place, don't bother with others. Be a wise shopper!

Not only that but they (without my permission) added the most expensive warranty onto my purchase (I was able to cancel it) and completely ignored my request for 2 day shipping, then had the gall to claim I had never ordered it in the first place (I ordered it on the phone with one of their customer service reps).
Never deal with Tiger Direct. You will be treated with no respect. After 2.5 hours of complete **, I ended up canceling my order. I will never order from them again. If I could give less than one star, I would.

I ordered a computer for my sister through Tiger Direct as a gift. My brother-in-law always said they were good to buy from. Anyway I ordered and received the comp. Then a week later, I found it at Best Buy. It is the same model and same accessories. So I called Tiger Direct customer service to see if they would price match. The person looked up the one I was referencing and immediately started saying it didn't have the keyboard and mouse so I showed him it did. He didn't look. Then he said he would talk to a supervisor.
After a while, he came back on the phone and said they wouldn't match because it was a different color and the price Best Buy sold it for was below their cost. Well, seems like this is common with them. Guess that says it all. If other stores are buying for less then they buy. Everybody knows they can find it cheaper at the other stores. Way to go Best Buy. You have my business from now on!!!!

I needed to order a new PC for my wife. So I thought of Tiger Direct. First off the website made check out impossible. Every time I click check out, the website took me to a page full of ads and the only option was shop. Finally out of frustration I called the 800 number. The consultant I spoke to was very pushy about selling me things I did not want, to the point of being rude and inconsiderate. I finally had to tell him I had had enough of Tiger's hard push sales tactics and either cancel the order or ship it... An order that should not have taken more than 20 min took an hour and a half. NEVER again Tiger Direct. Don't walk away from Tiger Direct, RUN! I have ordered from Tiger Direct for a good number of years, have recommended them to friends. Never again.

I am being fair on my reviews. I purchased a laptop on Saturday at 2pm. I got a confirmation email that my purchase was successful with an expected ship date. It's Tuesday and no laptop so I track my order only to find out that there was a hold on shipping for verification of *something*. Turns out, my credit card is ok (as I expected) but my shipping address is not on public records!? I buy from Amazon all the time and never had this problem before.
A little more information: On Saturday, I call their customer service number just to ensure that the order is all set for arrival on Tuesday, I am transferred around then the line drops. I call back, inform the agent what happened then he decides to transfer me to the credit card department; it's now 2:58pm and the voicemail says the department is closed and I will need to call on Monday!? Today, Tuesday my call was dropped 2 times and the wait while "verifying" my address was a good 12 minutes. It takes a minute for a pizza order!
I recommend a lot of people to Tiger Direct just like I used to for DELL but we all know what got DELL is that they got too big and dropped the ball on customer service. Tiger Direct, that was my last purchase with you. While I was on hold, I shopped online for the same machine and was about to purchase elsewhere then your agent got back. I say Tiger Direct - Never again.

Gave them tracking number, they checked, sure enough it had been delivered three weeks earlier.. Now I wait another 3 to 5 days to get my money back.. A few days ago I ordered a laptop at TigerDirect.ca and was disappointed by their services. I have noticed that I am not the only one who has faced the problem I had. I had placed my order on the 07/31/2014 and was happy to see an email send by Tiger saying my Order request was successfully received. Tracking information was given to me, as expected. Because I ordered on a Thursday and I had request a two day delivery, I didn't bother checking tracking information. It was on 08/04/2014 that I received a voice-mail (which I was unable to understand due to constant cutting) from an unknown source saying something about some item on hold. Now this call might not be related at all with my TigerDirect order because I had ordered some other items from other sources. But it got me worried enough to check my order status.
Upon review I have noticed that my order was still not shipped and marked as followed by "Your order is being submitted to a third-party warehouse for fulfillment and delivery. You will receive a Shipping Confirmation email once it ships." In normal condition I would have given them a day or two. But because of the call I received earlier I decide it would be best to get in contact with them and ask them to clarify my order status. What was reveal to me was that my order ETA (estimate time availability) was 5 September 2014. Meaning they sold me a product they didn't have in stock. In some condition this would have been acceptable if I would have been notice (and if I wasn't going away to college in end of August!).
Now back to my order status, To Drop Shipper which they describe as a submission to a third-party warehouse for delivery, which I believe mean that they don't ship their own product and have someone else do it for them. With that being said I suspect that they use Amazon as their inventory. This is a vague conclusion but upon looking for the exact same product on Amazon.ca it was also out of stock and this estimated date of availability was one to two months, just like TigerDirect informed me. So basically if you order from TigerDirect you are ordering from Amazon. I don't recommend anyone to order from TigerDirect and if you really want to do just look up on Amazon if your product is in stock.
I was not able to call them afterward because today is a holiday. As of right now I am waiting to get my order cancellation confirmation. And I can now confirm that the ATE was not posted in any of the email send to me or during order purchasing (for those who are unfamiliar with the Auth-hold, this means that they ‘’froze’’ a certain amount of money from your account. No charge are really apply due to item not being ship yet).
My overall rating of TigerDirect 2/5Ease of use 4/5
Functionality 1/5

I have dealt with TigerDirect for quite a while. I had always dealt with the same account manager. This person has since left for whatever reason. I started dealing with another rep who was very undependable. I was then transferred to another rep. I then bought two tablets from Tiger, both of which were defective right out of the box. I returned them and it took quite a while to get a credit for them. Both times, the tablets' shipping was not refunded. I had to complain about this several times. I finally got the shipping charges back for the first one. I am still to this date dealing with the problem of getting the shipping refunded for the second tablet.
I then decided to give them another chance and ordered another tablet from them. It arrived. I then found the same tablet for about a hundred dollars cheaper. I asked them to price match - they refused; I then started getting unsolicited mail from other. Upon investigation, I found out that TigerDirect has taken my private information and without my permission has sold it to other companies. I did not give them permission to do this and have asked them to desist. I am writing this in order to warn others about their business practices. My recommendation is not to deal with Tigerdirect.ca. They cannot be trusted with your information. There are many other suppliers out there that will price match and won't try to keep your money when the product is not up to standard.

Made an order 7/16/14 for a single product with two-day shipping. After six day (four business days) the product had yet to arrive and the tracking information provided within my account on TigerDirect had revealed to me that the item had yet to be shipped. I called customer support and told them of the situation. The person I was speaking to told me that the item was to be shipped directly from the manufacturer... However, he could tell that the item was not in stock. To my surprise as nothing was noted on the facade of the website as I was shopping for products. Seemingly more insulting, the Customer Service Rep. also mentioned that the service department had been in communication with the manufacturing regarding this product the day before I called them. Yet, not a single call was made to me the day before explaining the situation.
I mentioned that I would not want to pay for the two day shipping if I were to keep the order - though the shipping price would stay as is because technically it will be two day shipping... from the day they get it back in stock. This might have been acceptable if I was aware the product was out-of-stock when I ordered it, though they did not seem to be concerned with the inherent differentiating characteristics of this situation. So I cancelled the order, though I am behind on my timeline... Thanks TigerDirect for the wonderful communication and a waste of my time.

I bought a laptop on 07/11 and am still waiting for it. The order was confirmed but then on 07/14 I received 2 phone calls and an email stating that my order was on hold and to call a verification number. After spending several minutes waiting, an agent transferred to another to confirm my credit card information. I was not told when the laptop would arrive, I checked with my credit card company and I was billed on 07/11 (the day I made the purchase). On 07/16 I received a message that my order shipped. I checked the tracking number and discovered it was going to Illinois and NOT TO MY ADDRESS!!
I called UPS to confirm and they said that Illinois was the location they were given it ship to. So I called Tiger Direct and they said the laptop was coming via 3rd party vendor. In this case, it came from Sunnyvale, CA - which is about 2 hours from where I live. The agent would not give me a delivery date - we called again and another agent said we would receive it by Monday (07/21). It did not arrive. I have attempted a couple of chat sessions and they are useless. They give you an approximate wait time but it appears that no one ever comes online and then all of the sudden you get a message saying "representative has already left this conversation" even though they never arrived!
I started a chat session when I started writing this complaint and was given an approximate wait time of 1 minute - after 20 minutes I got the message, "representative has already left this conversation." In fact, I typed "Hello" in the window just in case and within 2 minutes I got the following message, "All available representatives are currently occupied. Your request could not be served. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Please try again later or leave a message: Leave Message. Thank you!" I left a message yesterday and they never responded. I will trying calling again, but at this point, I have over $800 charged to my credit card for a laptop that I have no idea when I will receive it.

It has been one month since I originally filed my complaint on June 9, 2014, and nothing has been done by Tiger Direct. July 15th--no reply so I am posting this message. July 8, I spoke with Supervisor Richard ** at 800-800-8300 ext. **. (Supervisor Kelly was not working when I called). He assured me that he would take this problem up with management and would definitely get back to me by email within 24 hours. My problem is with my Maylong M-270 tablet purchased from Tiger Direct on October 19, 2013 (one-year warranty) Order #**. All of a sudden it stopped working and I cannot get it repaired.
I called Maylong's support line for the tablet many times. That number, as well as the Maylong website no longer exist. I called Tiger Direct's customer service rep Estelle on 6/9 and she promised to follow through and get back to me. Nobody did. I called on 6/16, and the cs rep was very rude and said it's Maylong's problem. Then she gave me a phone number and extension that she insisted was Estelle's line. It turned out to be a firm that wanted me to join a price club and get a $20 coupon for Tiger Direct.
I called Tiger back (6/16) and insisted on speaking with a supervisor. I spoke with Supervisor Kelly at 800 800 8300 extension **. He said he would check with corporate about this situation (regarding an exchange or refund) and get back to me promptly. He never did get back to me. If I do not get a warranty exchange or refund, I intend to post this note at various places on the web, including Yelp, Wacktrap, the Tiger Direct's review page and Facebook page, as well as the BBB and the Florida Attorney General's consumer fraud office.

I placed an order for an mp3 player on Tiger Direct. They waited hours and then sent me an email saying that they oversold the item, but don't worry, they were back ordering it and I would get one. A few days later I get ANOTHER email reassuring me I'd get the item because it was on back order. As a result, I ordered accessories for this item and then after not hearing anything for awhile, I called, got a customer service rep who promptly started yelling at me, treating me like an idiot child for BELIEVING their misinformed emails. After awhile I got a supervisor who offered me a credit for about 3x what I had ordered for, since the deal I was supposed to receive was low priced. But I went to look at the rest of their mp3 players and discovered that they didn't have any mp3 players of any kind of quality in their online store, AT ALL. So after looking at every single cheap poor quality mp3 player that Tiger Direct lists, I asked if I could acquire another mp3 player elsewhere and instead have the credit I was offered to be changed so I could get something ELSE since their mp3 players are all garbage.
OF COURSE NOT! First, they list something and mis-sell it, and do not make it so once they sold out, they would not be able to sell more. Then they sent multiple reassurances telling me that they had ordered more and they would arrive soon and I would get one. It was Tiger Direct's mistakes that caused this whole problem, not anything I did. Then they had uninformed, rude phone people who made mendacious remarks and accusations based on their extreme lack of knowledge.
If you want to have a good experience buying something, then AVOID Tiger Direct at all costs! You'll just end up offended by their customer service reps and cheated out of your money. They do NOT know what they are doing there, and anyone who spends their money there will end up being lied to and mistreated for the mistake of considering them honest sellers.

While their website appears full of cost-saving options, their customer service is horrible. I specifically went there in search of a refurbished desktop, as I did not want to spend over $200 on it. After hours of searching on various sites, I found just about the best model/specs I could get within this budget. Again, the problem wasn't finding it online, it started right after I made the order.
First - I indicated 2-day delivery. The package arrived after 4 business days. While part of this may be attributed to UPS, what TigerDirect is certainly responsible for is shipping me the wrong item. The desktop that arrived never looked like it was refurbished and on top of it all, was made from a much slower processor that I specifically picked. After calling about this, their agents treated me like I didn't know much about computers and automatically wanted to start the entire process over as if I needed special help in finding the right model. Once I convinced them I only wanted to return it at this point, they finally sent me the return authorization. The problems didn't stop there.
I shipped everything back and called to make sure it was received. Their agents confirmed over the phone and said it would be 3-5 business days until my money was returned. After multiple calls and 12 days later, I finally got an automated message from them that they were releasing the funds and it they would be available in another 3-5 days. TigerDirect has held me and my $ up for 3 weeks, putting me right back when I started on this desktop search. Rude customer service and complete lack of responsibility. There's plenty of other sites that deserve your business - don't waste it here.

I am wasting 15 mins of my life to warn others of this SCAM by Tiger Direct. Avoid purchasing from this place if you can. They had a $80 rebate on Dell laptop and $25 off on $100 or more dollars (if you purchase an item qualified). I have ordered in January 2014 and did not receive the item that qualifies until Mar end. After a number of calls (mind you each will have at least 10-15 mins wait period), they gave up and decided one day to cancel the order (without letting me know). When asked about the rebate, they said you can't avail that. Fine. With lots of fight I got back the shipping charges, they charged me for the item that was not shipped (Dell was with free shipping by shoprunner). 7 - 10 days later I receive the item (I thought it was complementary for the trouble they put me into -- I was going by other shopping sites standards -- Amazon, Newegg, or any other place than this **hole).
They send me a manual billing. I call them to return the product and had to wait 20 mins before giving up. For a while I decided to do nothing about this and then I call the customer support to return the after couple of months. So they tell me that I have to pay for the shipping to return, since I kept it for so long (they don't consider the fact they took months to cancel the order). Regarding the rebate on dell.. I was supposed to send a UPC barcode, which I could not find on the box and they all the help I got from them was "look for it". Anyways, I lost that $80 too... The rebates, discounts they use to promote this is not really worth your time and effort. Eventually they will square with you and will make up all their money they ever gave you in rebates. SO BEWARE and avoid shopping from this place.

I rarely get this pissed off at a merchant. TigerDirect should be ashamed. They sent a promotion, confirmed my purchase and then canceled without any notification. Ok, so that happens... but then they lied! They actually made stuff up about trying to contact us, timing, items in stock, etc. When I called them on these lies, the service manager could barely articulate an answer, finally fumbling over words but managing to give me a person for escalation. Still haven't heard anything. Probably never will.
TigerDirect claims they had thousands of orders and oversold. They acknowledged my order was an early one. They claimed they were calling everyone to verify the order (really? Calling thousands of people?). They claim they could not reach me even though they have email, phone and a record of my checking tracking info on the order. They lied about sending an email and about leaving a voice message. Finally, because I believed I had made a purchase (my funds on hold, a confirmation email from TD), I did not take advantage of other promos available. So now, I don't have my equipment, I can't get other deals and I don't have the confirmed order. Horrible experience.

I was having irregular power currents that were reeking havoc on my computers. TD charged me 29.00 to look at it and 89.00 to fix what they found, not including parts. I picked it up 5 days later, and bought a battery backup just in case, 180.00.
BEWARE: the warranty on their work is 30 days. I waited for issues to be cleared by power company at their utility pole, I fired up my newly repaired computer only to get "chassis intruded fatal error system halted" warning. If you know anything about computers, that is to prevent your computer from being tampered with, something that is reset by pushing a button or a fairly simple process that is done at the service desk by any competent technician. Tiger Direct refused responsibility because it was beyond 30 days. They wanted a second 30.00 to find the problem their techs created. What they don't tell you is the 30.00 diagnostic charge is to FIND the problem and THEN 89.00 to repair what they find.
Found a great commercial company that takes a lot of walk-ins like me, 75.00 to diagnose AND repair. Got to talk with the techs themselves, it was a no-brainer for me. Don't live in Jacksonville, Fl? Call around, ask how they operate, charges, hours, warranty etc, it's worth the effort, just don't go to TIGER DIRECT. In Jacksonville, call Total Business Systems. I wasn't looking to gain anything additional. If I pay to have to put my computer repaired to its correct operating order, I expect it to be just that. No more, no less. I have not ordered from TigerDirect.com since July 2011. Go figure now why would I suddenly want to do business with them? That's why I left them in 2011. Gut instinct works. Account was closed by TigerDirect, I wonder why? I canceled my credit card and by the way this person lives in Las Vegas NV. If had moved, I would have made the changes in their database in order to address future problems similar to this one. Oh yeah I live in TN.

I ordered a 55-inch flat screen from Tiger Direct. The first thing that should be noted is that they say on their site that most orders are shipped in 24 hours. I placed my order on April 25th. They didn't recognize the order till the 26th, even though they charged me on the 25th. The order wasn't made to have the item picked up until the 28th. This order was going from southern California, "L.A." warehouse according to the shipping company to Phoenix, AZ, approximately 500 miles! Apparently, the tv was eventually picked up on the 29th according to A.T.I. The company responsible for shipping this Television, so (shipped in 24 hours turned into 96 hours) to be fair, this was their free shipping option.. But they state on their site that delivery is made in 5 days to 11 days when I made this order on the 25th. Doing my math, the worst case was that it would arrive on the day of the party where it was to be presented, May 5th.. a Sunday.....
I watched the shipping info and got nervous quickly when I noticed that the item didn't seem to move. "I can drive to L.A. from my home in less then 5 hours." The tracking function on the site only showed (in transit) from the 29th, 30th, 31st of April, May 1, May 2nd (Friday) before the party. When I checked the shipping status, it showed it had arrived the night before in PHX at 9:27 pm but not out for delivery?? I called the shipper A.I.T. and asked if it would be out for delivery that day and was informed that I would have to "schedule a delivery for the following Monday." I explained the situation to the person at the shipping company and asked if I could pick it up at their warehouse instead. This was at 11 am Friday, may 2nd.. I was first told that there was too much fraud and that was against the "company policies." I explained the situation again to this person (who identified themselves as the dispatcher) that this was a present to be given on Sunday. I was then transferred to a manager who then told me at first that it wouldn't be a problem to pick up the item at their shipping dock but very quickly changed his mind and informed me that on this item they couldn't allow it since it had come from their L.A. warehouse and that I would have to call that facility to get permission to pick it up.
I was given a number to call. When I did, I was promptly told that this was incorrect and I would have to call the PHX warehouse??? I explained again the situation and what I was already told by the PHX office.. I was put on hold for 15 minutes and when the gentleman came back on the line, I was informed that the real problem was that the contract with Tiger Direct didn't allow for me to pick it up, and that the only way I could get it that day was to have Tiger Direct give them permission to release it to me "or for Tiger Direct to authorize a "same day delivery, 8 days after the order"?? He told me that he would call and try to get that authorization. He also encouraged me to do the same saying they would respond to me faster than they would to him..
So after a total of 48 minutes on the line, I was now calling Tiger Direct again. I again had to speak to multiple people at Tiger Direct after being told that I was talking to the wrong people or they didn't understand the problem and referred to call the shipper (running me around in circles). I would explain who I already talked to and what all other parties had said.. Each time I was put on hold and or transferred to a different department (I should explain, I run an auto repair facility for a living and was trying to do this while dealing with the buss. at hand). Tiger Direct would put me on hold each time and I would have to wait again and again. My call log on my cell showed I was on the line at least 2 hours and 15 minutes. The whole time, I was asking to talk to a manager and each time, I would be told no problem but each time, I was put on hold up to 25 minutes and when a voice would return, it would be the same rep, making a new excuse to why I couldn't pick this up. When he came back again, I was told they would give the shipper an ok to allow me to pick it up but I would have to fill out a liability waiver they would email me.
So I waited on the line with him till I received the waiver which stated that if there was any damage at all under any circumstance, that I would have no recourse at all and I was willing to waive all warranty!!! I told the rep. absolutely not because I hadn't even seen the tv. I was put on hold again. Each time the blame was put on the shipper (almost like they forgot the prior conversation, this I don't doubt with the time frame between each conversation!!). Finally, I was told that I would have a call back from the manager. At this point, it was now 3:30 pm..
Within 2 minutes, I received a call from A.I.T. rep saying that they where dispatching the delivery and it would arrive between 4pm and 7:30 pm. I told them it was great, it could be dispatched but that my buss. is only open till 5:30 pm. I was put on hold and when the young woman came back on, I was told it would be there by 5:30 pm. 45 minutes later at 4:45 pm, a van pulled in to my lot with a shipper name on the side.. my tv was there, I was now happy and when the Tiger Direct mgr. finally did call (conveniently as the van pulled in, I told them thanks for getting it worked out) but as soon as I hung up, the driver started unloading from the van right away. My assistant pointed out that the box was open already.. The driver had parked as far from the bus. door as he could. And as he removed the box from the back of his van, the tv almost fell out of the bottom of the box which was also apparently open.. He caught it and was able to lower the tv onto a simple mover's dolly that he then used to get the tv to the front door. As he approached the front of the buss., he seemed to lose control of the dolly and the box, and dolly bounced off the cyclone fence of the yard. He tried to correct it and get it through the door of the bus., once again pushing it right off the dolly onto the ground.
For some reason, he felt he had to right it back onto the dolly then try to lift it up (forgetting the bottom was unsecured ) allowing the tv to fall about 18 inches to the ground loudly. He then asked me to sign his receipt saying it was fine and undamaged!!! LOL. I told him I needed to look at the tv and make sure it wasn't damaged first. This he found funny and laughed at!!! This jerk that had dropped the tv 3 times in 35 feet.. When we took the packaging away from the tv, it was obvious that the screen was damaged but oddly enough not where it had fallen. It was damaged on the left side of the screen at about the midpoint. It looked like it had been hit with a hammer!!! A shatter point the size OF A GOLF BALL with fractures radiating away from it. Needless to say, I refused delivery, and again called Tiger Direct who once again left me on hold for over an hour. That call log showed 1 hr 15 minutes. I was not allowed to talk to a manager and was told they would refund my money.. I explained again that this would be too late since the funds would be tied up for several days and this would be a problem since i didn't have another 750 to spend on this item. In the end, I can not give the intended recipient the gift and I will not have funds returned even with them "forcing it through" for another 7 to 10 days. thanks Tiger Direct and AIT for ruining a birthday..

I visited for first time the Tiger Direct in Pembroke Pines, and I will don't go again there because the store manager with the name FRANK is a kind of person too rude. I saw when he was talking with a cashier, a young lady, by the way was very nice with me, and he say something to her with bad manners. That manager is too lazy, he doesn't like take care of the customer problems. He is there like a picture on the wall, doesn't know nothing about their policy returns, doesn't know about customer service and how to speak with his employees, is a decorative figure there. He is the only reason that I don't go again at Tiger Direct. Now I'm gonna say this to everybody because I felt like a trash that day. Thank you to read this.

Tiger Direct offers interesting price but one should expect an open return policy from a company who do not invest in local stores such as Best Buy. However, it seems to be falling into a death hear. I bought for $500 of equipment including a home phone system. When I received it, I immediately disliked it (mostly it was lagging between numbers) and asked to return it so I can get another one. They refused since the item was not broken. Of course I could break it but is it really what it comes to? I am through with TigerDirect essentially because they do not understand the whole concept of online buying and let the whole risk fall into the buyer.

The way they operate their company they must "apologize" one thousand times a day. Finally, the "Customer Service???" lady was going to transfer me to a supervisor, but of course she could not even accomplish that. She disconnected me. Buy from these people at your own risk.

I asked if Tiger Direct priced matched and after repeating myself multiple times and waiting for her to check, she said that I would have to purchase first then have the price difference adjusted back to my account? What? I asked if I could have price adjustment first, then I was transferred to someone else who could've cared less to be there. The representative obviously didn't care. Without even looking the product up, he said he was in the sales dept and they couldn't price match under their cost. So I purchased elsewhere. After the several holds and fumbling, I was on that call for about 40 minutes. It was also the first and last time that I'll do business with this company that obviously doesn't consider their customer's importance.

In December 2013, I ordered a Dell Venue Pro 8 from Tiger Direct. This order came with a rebate and also a $20 Windows Store gift card. First problem, I paid for expedited delivery and that was a failure. I won't go into all the details on this problem, but suffice it to say that when I contacted them to try to get some help changing the delivery when it failed to be delivered when promised--there was no help. They blamed UPS, but when I called UPS I was told that Tiger Direct had placed a restriction on it so that no one could change it. UPS told me Tiger Direct could change it, but when I contacted Tiger Direct for the umpteenth time, I continued to be told that they could do nothing. The truth is--they could do something but would not. As far as the rebate goes, I did actually get that - I used their expedited process which cost me a couple bucks, but hey, at least I got it.
That's more than I can say about the Windows card. I asked Tiger Direct in January when I would get it and they told me in 8-10 weeks from my purchase. Ok, well here we are in mid-April and I've got nothing. Last week I contacted them and now they say it's a Microsoft problem - I have to contact Microsoft. I told them I knew this was a lie, but I went ahead and contacted Microsoft anyway. Of course, Microsoft says it was a Tiger Direct promotion and they have nothing to do with it. NO surprise. So back to Tiger Direct. So far, I have gotten no resolution. The customer service department is useless. They barely understand you and won't do anything anyway - they just say they are sorry and blame others for the problem (UPS, Microsoft). This seems extremely dishonest to me. I would never, ever, ever do business with this company again and if you choose to, all I can say is good luck. You'll need it.

I purchased several items and received AMEX rebate cards valued at $10 to $40. I made the purchase because the rebate made Tiger Direct the best deal. I would have purchased from a different vendor otherwise. The rebate form had hidden tricks to trip you in not receiving the rebate such as only one entry per mail. Forms that have trick entry boxes that can cause an invalid form. I finally received the AMEX cards only to find out that they are worthless. When I contacted AMEX they informed me the AMEX cards are not listed in their database therefore must be "fraudulent cards".
I was told to contact the company that sent them. Tiger Direct is printed on the card. Tiger Direct stated, "It is not our problem!" If it is not Tiger Direct Problem because they advertise these cards to get you to buy their products then whose problem is it? Maybe the Attorney General of the United States or States Attorney of Florida. If you have had the same results I recommend we all send requests for investigation to Florida. Not please with vendors that conduct their business in such a way.

My boyfriend had dealt with Tiger Direct years ago, and apparently they were a great company then. I ordered said laptop. Two weeks later the laptop still hadn't arrived. Decided to check the tracking info only to discover it was back ordered. Waited a little longer. STILL no sign of the laptop. Called customer service and complained only to be informed that said laptop was NEVER in stock and was NEVER going to be in stock. Rep asked if I would like to exchange for another laptop of the same price. Well, of course!
Changed the order and was then told that I would have to pay an extra twenty some dollars. I didn't have an extra twenty some dollars. I had already paid almost four hundred for a non-existent laptop to begin with! I cancelled the order and was told that my money could NOT be refunded. At this time I was completely frustrated and literally threw the phone to my boyfriend who (not so kindly) informed them that they were messing with Federal Grant money and they will be reported for fraud. Needless to say, I got my refund, a new laptop through Best Buy, and a new knowledge to NEVER buy from Tiger Direct again.

While chatting with their customer service, just let the phone sit to see how long it would take, and no one ever did answer - yes, an hour and 15 minutes) they finally concluded they did not have it. I started dealing with Tiger Direct over the past holidays. After major problems with the order, I researched Tiger Direct and their business practices. It seems they have a long history of problematic business and bad business practices. To try to fight a company like this is difficult, IF you don't know how to fight them. I can help you change this to make things right and give you the leverage against such companies.
First, ALWAYS use a good major credit card company. Second, get a "screenshot" program to log every ad you order from and gather ALL information regarding the advertised product(s) you are purchasing, because Tiger Direct will find the error when pointed out, then change the ad, then try to claim it was not an advertisement problem (this happened in my case, but I had the solid evidence). After researching Tiger Directs history, they are very aware of these advertising issues, but still refuse to change their policy and continue to this day using false advertising in their ads. This is a CRIME and they are aware of it, so they are knowingly breaking the law and taking advantage of consumers, because they know most will never fight them.
Now, if you get an item not as described, or faulty or whatever valid reason, don't count on Tiger Direct to respond to you quickly or make a fast correction. Why? Because they already have your funds and have no motivation to correct the problem. This is where using a good credit card company comes into play and vital to put the leverage back in your favor. This is also why taking screen shots and giving clear evidence to your credit card company is vital. With a legitimate claim and good evidence, you contact you credit card company and file a dispute. They will ask that you send them your evidence, and you simply send them the screen shots of the advertisement showing clear proof of your claim and outline what the exact problem is.
Your credit card company will then immediately reverse the charges and will give the company 60 days to respond. You now have the leverage, because you have the product and they do NOT have your money! When I confronted Tiger Direct, they tried to say the ad was not incorrect, after they altered it AFTER I placed my order and informed them of their ad error. I sent them the screenshot showing what they actually advertised when I made the purchase, then Tiger Direct RAN! They would not even contact me directly and they would NEVER return my calls to resolve the situation. They did not even dispute it with my credit card company! So this tells me they KNOW what they did and had no case or recourse against me!
They are still using false advertising in MANY products... and even when it is brought to their attention, they still do not fix it! This again is against the law! So, instead of continuing to fight against their bad business practices, you can use it against them. When it starts eating into their profits (because that is all they seem to care about) only then will they consider changing their business practices and be true and correct for the consumers sake.
Use these two tools and regain your leverage against a company with bad business practices. Hold the item (you are allowed to do this), have the credit card company dispute the charge and get your money back. Then see how willing Tiger Direct is to negotiate a reasonable settlement, because they have knowingly and willfully taken your time and resources (which is worth something) and a "sorry for the inconvenience" is just an insult! You are entitled to compensation because the company has done this intentionally to profit from all those consumers who will not or do not know how to fight them back.
It does work! I have done it with many companies, because my time and resources are valuable and I will get reasonable compensation for that. Their employees ALL get paid and if I am fixing their error, I expect to have compensation as well. An "inconvenience" is when you order a hamburger without pickles and they put pickles on it and you have to toss those off. It's much more than an inconvenience when you have to spend hours of your time and other resources to fix their 100% error! This is how to fight. Also make a formal complaint to the BBB and the FTC. This only takes 10-15 minutes total and gives record of your situation. The more people do this, the better all consumers will be!

If I could give a zero rating, I would. I purchased a TV online and noticed that my TV didn't ship and when I called to find out why, the customer service rep couldn't even tell me if it was because they didn't have them in stock or when the item planned to ship, so I canceled the order. Then, 2 days later, I get an email saying that my item shipped. I called to find out what was going on and they said there was nothing they could do and my 76-year-old mom would have to refuse the order. She lives in a retirement community and the odds of the retirement community personnel refusing specific orders is close to null. And I tried to explain this to Cust rep # ** and she just kept saying, "Well, there is nothing I can do."
Nowadays, with tracking numbers and shipping technology being much more advanced, I know they could have stopped that package and had it returned. So, I kept asking (14 times) to speak to a customer service manager, and she wouldn't let me speak to one. She literally would not let me speak to a manager. I have NEVER been through something like this with a company and I promise you I will never deal with TigerDirect again. I am also reporting this to the Better Business Bureau because when customers cancel an order and a company just blatantly ships it anyway thinking, "Oh well, we will just give them a cancellation reference number", but it doesn't really mean anything, that's a BIG problem.

Noted the following Wed. that the product had been changed to A236-140059 when gentleman from Tiger called me to get my serial number which is odd since this was a NEW order. The changed item was an upgrade license (also over $1200 cheaper). Since I cannot use and didn't authorize the change, requested that the order be canceled. (They refused to change it to an acceptable part number since the order had already been changed previously by them). The person that performed the change was unapologetic and only stated that Tiger Direct reserves the right to make substitutions.
Received email on 2/13 that order was canceled. Talked to several people, they told me 7-10 days to get refund (gift card code). I explicitly asked if the 7-10 days was business days or calendar days. I was told calendar days. After 11, requested status. Response was to wait 7-10 days. After I complained that this was unacceptable, the next CSR responded that it was in progress and that I would receive the gift code within 24-48 hours. After 72 hours, I responded that nothing had been received yet. Received a response 5 hours later that the issue had been sent to senior management with no response yet. I used to love going to the computer store. I've been going to Comp USA/Tiger Direct for years and never usually have a return. Don't normal have products that are defective. This January I bought a tablet for my special needs sister. I didn't know how well she would do with the product but I notice she is always very interested in cell phones and that she navigates them pretty well so I took the chance and got her an android tablet that I thoughtfully downloaded Netflix, hulu plus, and bunch of games on. I even threw on Facebook and setup her account on Facebook in case the off chance that she one day could correspond using them.
Well lo and behold she loved the tablet and for 3 or 4 weeks I heard nothing from her for she was so wrapped up in the new device but then I get the dreaded call from her that the device would not start and I went down there to see what was wrong. When I brought back the store the used item the manager informed me that the device was older than two weeks but "don't worry and contact the manufacturer (Asus) and they will take care of the problem." I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I needed to play with manufacturer to get it replaced/repaired? What a joke. My son saved up $1200. He's only 14 years old for his own gaming computer, and asked me to take him to Tiger Direct to look at them. When we got there, the sales pitches were amazing. From the $1200 we had on us, they explain why we should do a custom computer. We agreed, and now the price reached close to $1800, an extra $600 that dad threw in. It took approx 4 days to be finished and pick up. We noticed we had an extra cooling fan with the package and was told that was part of it, which we paid for, an extra fan? REALLY. We were also told if the fan wasn't good enough, you can exchange it for the liquid cool fan. Well of course when we got home, the fan they installed sounded like a mini jet liner throughout the house. We had no choice but to bring it back.
We asked for the liquid cooled to be installed, and ask for the refund for the fan they had installed. We were told from the manager, "there must have been some miscommunication. We don't know who told you about a refund. We can't do that. But the next time you come in to shop, come and see me, and I'll give you some good deals." GREAT, now I'm stuck with this extra fan that is brand new, and they won't refund it $34.95. Also I got stuck with another fan that was part of the original order, that the technician told me it wouldn't fit. So I got 2 fans extra from this package, $$$ > ???
This is only part of it. Now my son's telling me his new $1800 computer keeps crashing on him, after only being on it for 40 minutes. I've contacted Tiger Direct with e-mails. They did get back to me, telling me someone would be calling me and how sorry they were about my experience with them. This is almost 2 weeks later I've heard nothing from them. This was actually take the money and run. I don't know how anyone can burn a 14 year old for all his savings, and then get his dad for another $600.00 knowing his dad wasn't very good with computers. I will be seeking legal action with this company, and I'm only on here to let the consumer know, be very aware of this place.

The rebate process administrators are doing a dis-service by denying rebates that are submitted. My submitted rebates have been wrongfully denied and I won't get what is rightfully mine due to unjustified denial. Either the administrator is an idiot or they purposely argue infractions with the submitted material. I had this problem a few years ago and didn't buy anything from them for a while but was tempted again recently and bought some rebate-priced stuff. When I sent the rebate material in, I was wrongfully denied my rebates. In the future, I'll gladly pay a little higher somewhere else if it doesn't mean dealing with the TigerDirect rebate goons! I'll never buy anything from them again... ever!

Absolutely terrible customer service. I returned a computer motherboard less than a week after purchase that had NEVER BEEN INSTALLED, and they refused to accept the return. The manager refused to give me a refund, claiming that the "pins were bent", and I would have to go through the manufacturer to get a refund. I've spent TONS of money at this place over the past few years and they chose to lose my business over ONE item - and cited an absolutely BOGUS reason for doing so. I don't know if this manager is new or not but he won't be retaining much business by treating loyal customers like this. HORRIBLE buying experience.

I ordered bluetooth headphones. Received them in a padded and sealed bag from SYX Distribution Inc, Harrisburg PA. Inside the bag however, was a torn open product box. The headphones inside were snapped in half and unusable. I notified TD via email, and they sent me the phone number of the headphone manufacturer! I'm kept after them and got an RMA# but am still waiting for "approval" and instructions. I noticed the headphones I ordered are now out of stock. I can only assume they lower prices and recirculate damaged products hoping some dope will accept the abuse.

My first order was fine however recently I have had a problem with an order. I ordered a tablet online including using my credit card and received a confirmation that it would be sent out. After not hearing anything for 6 days I tried to track the order using the tracking # I was given but it did not work. When I called their sales phone # I was given no help except to be told to purchase another one but in the meantime the price for the exact same one has gone up $70 which in this case was 30%. The rep was actually rude and gave me a non working email address so I could send them copies of their information that they sent me that they now claim they cannot find or does not exist.
I also emailed them but they were not much more help. So be careful, you might lose out on an item if it is on sale and in the meantime you might not get what you ordered. After emailing back and forth with them for several days basically they told me to re-order another one. They either do not comprehend English or do not bother to read the emails as they kept repeating things that were gone over in the emails. They also told me several times to phone them at a phone number that I cannot reach from Canada for some reason, after I informed them I cannot call that number.
Frankly I now feel lucky that the order for the tablet did not go through as while doing some research on this company I ran across hundreds of complaints with Tigerdirect, they have a reputation for their poor customer service and some real shady practices including rebates and software licenses. If you look them up on wikipedia they have a sketchy past including several lawsuits and a run in with the SEC.

I ordered a laptop from them that they said was in stock and I paid for 2nd day air. After having the recipient stay home all day to take delivery, nothing showed up. When I checked the tracking, nothing had shipped, despite accepting my fee for quick shipping. When I contacted customer service, it had never been in stock and they did not know when it would be -- but apparently they'd rather rack up a sale than let you know the truth. I cancelled my order, though at this point I am still waiting for them to confirm that by email as they promised. Not worth trying to save a few $$ by dealing with this company.

At first, I thought this organization was good to do business with, so I decided to make bundled purchase. The customer service was absolutely terrible and I was forced to cancel my order and to go into the store to make the purchase, (which was in fact $100 more for each computer), but I had to argue with the representative to let them know that I was fine to wait for it to come. It turns out that I was back-ordered then the shipping date was extended not once, but two times so far. I still have not received my order and the order was placed December 26th and the new shipping date for now is January 28. As a business professional, I am not pleased with this experience and I am not sure how long this organization can continue on this way, before the issues pile up more than they can bear. It seems that outsourcing the customer service and the shipping was not a good cost cutting strategy that will bite them in the end sooner or later.

I ordered a 'Barebones Bundle' from tigerdirect thru a listing they have on their amazon store front. It was to be a birthday present for my son who will be turning 18 and needs a faster machine to do his 3d studio max rendering for school. I researched and decided to go with TigerDirect over a different vendor/product, which I ended up buying after TigerDirect did not honor their amazon listing, and sent me only 2/8 items listed in this 'bundle'. Being labeled a 'barebones' in the computer industry indicates a PC in a case. They only sent me a motherboard and processor.
Here is the original listing:

I received just the motherboard and processor. They also have now De-activated the listing and changed the description, but it is here:
Background:
I ordered the item and paid $217.25 on 12/21/2013. I received an item shipped notice on 12/24 that said 4.2 lbs so I contacted customer support that day to inquire if it was shipped in multiple pieces or if it was just motherboard and processor, not matching the listing. I received a canned response where 'the 2 items are contained in one tracking number', meaning they did not read my message. So I waited for it to arrive - and it did on the 27th. It certainly was not what was listed, I knew when i saw the UPS gut walk up with a box too small. I opened and verified it was not what I ordered. So I contacted customer service that day and they issued a UPS ground return label with 24 hours (but not an RMA number), and I sent it back to them at the first shipping opportunity. (12/30/2013). The message from TigerDIrect said the refund is processed in 3-5 days from when it arrives at the warehouse. They received the item on 1/6/2014.
I contacted them the evening of the 7th to inquire as to when I would receive my refund. I got the same canned response saying up to 5 days, and 3-5 business days from when it 'shows in their system'. I waited.
The 13th came and I contacted them again, this time a bit more fortuitously (a word no employee at tigerdirect customer service will likely comprehend). I demanded my refund within 24 hours. Nothing happened, so I opened a complaint with Amazon. They have had my product back in their possession for over 10 days and no credit yet on my account, even though they say it posted on 1/11. I happen to know from being an IT guy in charge of websites that interface with credit card payment systems, and the issues associated with that, refunds CAN be processed and posted within 24 hours. Bestbuy can do it, don't tell me tigerdirect cannot.
Also I have attempted to inform amazon of this and other fraudulent listing tigerdirect has on amazon.com, identifying dozens of other probable known fraudulent listings they have. They cannot blame an automated system. I have spent the past few days identifying and posting on these items that are likely incorrect, and they simply delete my comments (factual based) on amazon, as well as my posts to their social media sites simply requesting contact and resolution to the issue that they are 100% at fault for.
So still not resolved, about to lodge a complaint with the better business bureau, postal inspector for mail fraud, FBI Fraud division, social media, seller review sites, direct undesired contact with C-level executives, and drafting them a summons to small claims court representing myself Pro-Se as I have in family court successfully in the past.
I will not allow a company to do this to me again, I have been screwed out of hundreds of dollars over the years from companies like this. I assure you, there WILL be financial and/or reputation consequences far exceeding my $217 they owe me, guaranteed, already in process. Any help you can offer in bringing a know fraudulent company to justice is appreciated!

Inquiring on December 21st, got me a run around that the product was not in their inventory and was being supplied by a third party vendor (which is in violation of eBay selling regs), and that the item would be sent by the last week of December. Item was never sent and thankfully the PayPal hold on the payment amount expired on January 7th. I subsequently found the item at Micro Center locally and purchased it. Tiger Direct misrepresents its inventory and is unresponsive to customer inquiries. The Florida Attorney General should investigate this company and move to put them out of business.

I ordered a turntable as a Christmas gift for my girlfriend. I bought it through Ebay using the 'Buy It Now' feature and paid immediately. I was told that the bidding had closed, the item was mine, everything was pretty standard for an Ebay purchase. One week after the item was scheduled to arrive I finally called their customer service hotline to find out what was taking so long. This was after two emails and an inquiry through Ebay's website, with zero responses from them. When I finally got someone on the phone, after about a 40 minute wait, I was told that the item was on back order, and they didn't expect to get anymore.
Basically, I had paid for an item through an online auction, that they did not have in stock, and had no intention of restocking. After that I asked if they had any intention of notifying me, or if I was on my own in deducing this, and was subsequently told that since I had waited two weeks to figure it out for myself, that I was the one to blame. They refused to give me credit toward another turntable that was in stock, they claimed that they had cancelled the order and refunded my money, which I still haven't seen come back to me. I can't believe that would ignore my attempts at correspondence, cancel my order and not give me my money back. Currently I have an open dispute with Paypal, hoping that they can get my money back from these scam artists.

After finally receiving the software I found that it did not come with a product activation key that was valid. I called their help line and the girl hung up on me when I told her my issue. I logged on to their website and went to live chat. The girl told me it was a Microsoft issue and could not help me, then blew me off. I contacted Microsoft and had to pay $40.00 for a new activation key after being told I was definitely ripped off by Tiger Direct for not supplying me with the activation key.
This is probably the first time in my life I haven't checked reviews prior to a purchase online. My wife and I do our Christmas shopping early to avoid the last minute rush. I purchased a Samsung 32" flat screen TV part # UN32EH5300 on November 10th. The TV arrived about 3 days later and the box looked fine so we wrapped it and put it away so our son would not see it. Christmas day arrives and my son opens the TV and transfers the mount from his old TV and puts it on the wall and turns it on. The screen is spider-webbed horribly... A little further examination shows that there is a crack at a screw hole on the top of the TV and my son also noticed that one of the corner Styrofoam supports was broken like the TV had been dropped in the box on its side.
I call Tiger Direct and they tell me they can't take it back because it is over 30 days since it was purchased. They give me the number to Samsung and I call them and they tell me that concealed damage is not covered under their warranty. So now I am stuck with a useless TV. Worse than that my son doesn't have a Christmas present. I cant afford to buy another TV. My wife and I save money every week for Christmas so we have money to spend at the end of the year. I ordered four items (Order Number **), item #YYD1-754200, item# BAD-102126238, item# YYAZ-MMM6549YW, and item# M163-1040 on 12/25/2013 and authorized Tiger Direct to debit $107.65 (includes shipping) from my Amex credit card. I have a $30 cash back offer if I spend more than $100 at tigerdirect.com in a single transaction. Below is what happened after I contacted Tigerdirect.com.
I contact their customer care number 800-800-8300, and after 40 minutes on hold and explaining the situation to the agent, he cold transfer the call back to the main greeting so now I have to start the process of waiting on hold again. The second agent named (Fennie **) answers the call after 1hr and 20 minutes total of being on hold, and I come to find out out three of the four items are being shipped from a third party vendor, which is why they have not been shipped out yet. The fourth item has already been shipped out, has been charged to my amex card, and is in transit to me via UPS.
They generated invoice for item #UM163-1040, charged my credit card $58.82 for this item and shipped this item alone without shipping the other three items. I expected all four items to arrive on the same day since I made a single order/transaction. Also, nowhere did I see Tiger Direct mention that the three items were to be sent via a third party vendor. Here I lose $30 cash back with Amex since they would be posting two separate transactions for same order. Also, my $20 Tiger Direct mail-in rebate which was there for $100 or greater in single purchase will be denied since this invoice does not have another item. The third party items were in pending status, so the agent puts me on hold and contacts the third party vendor to cancel the order. My ticket# for the cancellation is **.
Tiger Direct is unable or does not want to credit the 2 separate transactions and re-charge the purchase as a single transaction, so now I have to go through the process of cancelling the order. The only reason I decided to purchase through Tiger Direct is because of the amex $30 promo and the Tiger Direct $20 rebate. If it was not for the promos I would have purchased the items elsewhere for less. I now have to contact UPS with the tracking number (I had to get the tracking number from the agent since Tiger Direct does not post the shipping company/number on their website) and have them refuse the shipment so it will be returned back to Tiger Direct. If the three third party vendor items do not get cancelled, then I will need to do the same with these items. Tiger Direct will not reimburse the shipping costs even though there was no mention splitting up the transactions or the use of third party vendors on their website. I will be out the shipping cost. I authorized $107.65 with Amex and this is the amount which should be charged. This is the worst customer service experience I have experienced from an online merchant, which was a surprise to me since I always thought of Tiger Direct as a reputable company.

While eBay sometimes not often anymore can be iffy, at least eBay has stellar service and protection and is always holding sellers to a higher standard as time goes on... I ordered items from Tiger Direct online during the Black Friday sale. I did not receive all my items. What I did receive stopped working or was garbage to begin with. As for the items not received I could not get through to customer service. It I am convinced is impossible as I tried for extended periods of time.
I was able to get through to Sales which is where and only where I have been able to deal with the issue. At first I was told the items would reship. Over a week later I was informed a trace would take place and take 8 days, then they would ship. After that week I requested a refund as I had to get the items that I needed out of that order at that time. From there another week and a half passed. Then I receive this affidavit that is not even a form but typed in an email without any formatting - it was an insult that is not official nor does it follow the requirements of an affidavit and therefore its sole purpose other than being a possible deterrent for fraud, not a tool, is to insult.
So, Zero customer service and what you may get is awful and not professional. I feel like I am calling a fast food place and speaking with high turn over employees. This company is based on numbers and not quality. Today I requested that tags me emailed for all the items that did arrive and even the ones that were gifts I am getting back and returning. I am sending their insult paper back, then I am calling AMEX and charging everything back and retaining my proof of shipment. I am doing that as their customer service has failed to do their part consistently and I am over wasting time on them. They have not held to their agreements as merchants.
I would like to mention that the stores are not the same. They are separate in almost all ways. They select quality items and have great customer service. No, you cannot bring your worthless online purchases back to the store. So, I will continue to buy from the store, but the online portion of this company will lose my business and the many people that I will speak to about this issue in my life and hopefully this report will warn other people online that the deals are just not worth it and the quality is so poor that you will need customer service and it will be a nightmare. If you do find this out for yourself please post it on the web to help others. Thank you and think about the frustration it would take to get you to take time to sign up to this web site and sit here and write this. This is my first post and there have been many time I wanted to, but it was just not to the level of creating a log in and all that... So, yeah, I am sure you have been there and can get how awful this really has been.

I personally contacted Tiger Direct about the issue. it took me 2 hours on the phone to get ahold of anyone. The first person I talked to simply hung up on me. The second person I talked to told me that it had been a wrong listing and the company was no longer honoring that deal. So from the get go they admit they were honoring that deal. I decide to try again and speak with another person, who tells me instead of it being a incorrect listing that it's simply sold out. So what is it? A wrong listing or simply sold out?
At this point I give up. The next day I go to their site and the listing is STILL there. I contact them again and they tell me that's not what they see on their monitor and it says something different. One of their customer support agents even went as far as to have me email them a picture of their own website. After confirming that, they agreed to get me the product listed and asked me to hold. They kept me on hold for half an hour and then just dropped my call.
For the entire week the bad listing was up on their site, not once was it corrected, removed or listed as sold out. I work with web servers and websites, I know it's a lot easier to correct these problems than what some companies try to make it look like. Very unprofessional, rude staff.
