I bought yesterday a heavily overpriced (like currently everywhere) video card on Newegg. I spent $1180 in the shop and noticed today that they had a nice combo offer with that video card and an additional motherboard. So, I contacted Newegg and asked kindly to switch to that combo offer by adding the motherboard to my ordered video card. Answer by Newegg: "That is against our policy. You have to send the video card back, we will charge you $150 restocking fee and then you can order the exact same video card again together with the motherboard and get the Combo deal." Zero flexibility from Newegg, zero generosity. We have to ruin this planet by spending resources and sending forth and back the exact same item. We have to ruin our time by packing the item and bring it to the post office, just to get it again some days later. And Newegg wants to make a lot of money on the back of us by charging $150 for all this just to repack and send it again.
Does Newegg actually want to look so greedy and inflexible? The agent I spoke to actually stated that they are not Amazon and they have stricter and customer unfriendlier policies that they have to follow. I think that if possible, everyone should simply check if they can buy on Amazon (or elsewhere) before buying on Newegg. Never seen such a terrible customer policy as on Newegg.

Oh no Alex,
I am sorry to hear this and would love to assist you on this. Can you please send me a private message with a link to that combo deal and the exact motherboard you are referring to. Looking forward to hearing from you!

TLDR: Ordered a 1080Ti, got confirmation of order, later got an email that my order was cancelled because their system had a flaw, refused to help me and told me to try again when item was in stock, after they sold my card that I had ordered to someone else. I now have to wait 5 business days for my money to released/refunded, and during this time I cannot look for a different card. Newegg has screwed me over big time. I'm in the process of completing my gaming PC, with the only part that's missing being the graphics card, of which I had to save up for for quite a while. The graphics cards are in high demand right now, so rarely are they in stock. For this reason have I been checking Newegg every few minutes, all day for the past 2-3 weeks. This is to fetch a GTX 1080Ti. After a long time, finally I was able to grab one that was in stock. I have all my details ready, check out and get a confirmation email.
The money is then taken from my card and everything was supposedly arranged. I was happy, after almost a month I would finally be able to put my PC together. Few minutes later I get an email telling me my payment method failed, so I re-submit my payment information going over everything again... which I then got confirmation for on the website that it was correct and handled. The next day I get a lovely email from Newegg telling me my order was flat out CANCELLED, with the status of the order being displayed as 'VOID'. I contact customer support to ask what was going on, and they told me there was an error with verification. This is not my fault, if their system has flaws in it. Yet they simply tell me to 'replace the order'. I go on to tell them that it's not as simple as replacing the order seeing as they're out of stock within minutes, and are very rarely in stock.
They literally spam 'I'm sorry, that's unfortunate, that's inconvenient, I understand your disappointment' whilst offering no solutions. I ask them if they can look for a different solution here other than telling me to re-order it, they ignore my request and simply tell me it is out of stock, and tell me to re-order it yet again. I ask them if they already took my card I had paid for, and sold it to someone else. Which they ignored, but that's exactly what they did as they responded with; 'It's out of stock'.
Not only can I continue to look for my card elsewhere... my money is literally not available for me to use right now, seeing as I have to wait 5 business days to get it back, thanks to Newegg. This means I have to wait another 5 business days to start hunting for a graphics card again. I will never for the life of my use this website again, and advise everyone against it. I do not wish such a horrible experience on anyone else. I honestly cannot believe this is a legitimate company still standing.

Hello Brett,

When I initially ordered on Newegg.com, the website redirected to a phishing phone number. I called them to inform them and ask them to cancel my order and account. They claimed that they could not cancel it, but never shipped the order and never refunded my payment. They say I should contact my bank and local police regarding fraud, but any reputable business would either ship the order or refund the money.

Hi Jon. Thanks for taking the time to leave your feedback regarding your experience. This seems quite odd, and I want to apologize for any hassle you went through. Would you be able to send me a private message with your order information so I can take a look into that for you?

Using RMA purchased item was returned and received by warehouse. Apparently Newegg has this bad behavior as a regular practice. I am trying to obtain a refund for an items already received using a Newegg RMA # **. Newegg is using excuses only and delaying to complete the refund process for an item which already have being reviewed and received in your warehouse. As a huge reference I will approach the Attorney General's Office using all the copies I had piled with the chats completed with your "customer services." Doing that I will file a formal complaint because the things you are doing is a fraudulent way to keep customers' money in your pocket without a valid reason.

Like the guy Michael said, they don't even have a proper support team, just giving run-a-rounds and scripts. I bought around $500+ CAD of parts, and it turns out this one motherboard ASROCK AB350M PRO4 is terribly reviewed (50% 1 eggs), I've tried everything to come to the conclusion that the random freezing just like everyone else online and on Reddit, is associated to a bad motherboard or flawed design, and or bad quality control. Great, POSegg (Newegg), refuses to even do a return because I cut out the upc for a mail-in-rebate that not only I haven't received yet. But also a faulty motherboard... Not working since day 1.
Total scam, BEWARE AND STAY AWAY! Because they do business practices like making consumers rush to do mail in rebates, with stamps, post-marked, little does the consumer know that with that done, their return is void, not even an exchange, pathetic... I've worked in retail for almost a decade and this is incompetence. I'd rate negative 5 stars if I could. Customer service just gave me the run-around, it just sounds like they're hired off-shore, off-location... ** this website, I'll stick to a local option instead, well worth the drive.

Hello Alexander,
I am truly sorry to hear about the experience you've had with trying to resolve this issue. Upon reviewing your order, I see that you have been referred to ASRock for further assistance with this matter as the motherboard is covered by a 3 year manufacturer warranty. I have sent you an email with additional details regarding this matter, please reply there if you require assistance with anything else.

I ordered a specific HP laptop from Newegg. Newegg confirmed my order with an image of the item I had selected from their site. When a package arrived, it came from Aventis, not Newegg. Newegg "farmed out" my order. That would have been ok, IF the shipper had sent the laptop I ordered. The one confirmed and the one I got were not even close to being the same as the keyboard of the one shipped. Had no number pad on the right. As a bookkeeper, it's kind of needed to have this number pad. So I called. I was told a return authorization would be sent. It was, but it was NOT a prepaid authorization and it stated there would be a restock charge. I called again, and was told the shipper would send me a prepaid one via email, and the Newegg agent would cc me on the email she was sending the vendor. That was two months ago, I am still waiting. So I disputed the charge.
Long and short of it, after sending 31 pages of documents, Capital One told me a week ago to ship the computer back, and they (Cap One) would reimburse the postage and honor my dispute. Yesterday I got a letter from Cap One dated same say as their call, saying nope, you are on your own. I closed my account with them. I then called Newegg, who told me they would be refunding $169.00 to my credit card. However, I paid $199 for the item??? plus return postage. At this time, I guess the refund is pending for the lower amount. To summarize, what I got was NOT what I ordered (kind of like ordering a sofa online and getting a hutch).
I will NOT be getting all my money back, nor will I be recovering the return postage, without a fight. This was NOT my error, it was Newegg's. At this time, I am reporting them here, I have printed complaint forms for the NY Attorney General and the Federal Trade Commission. Additionally, I am reporting this to NY State sales tax, as none was charged, and NY does not like that. As this progresses, I will try to keep you all informed.

I ordered a sectional sofa from Newegg’s website that they order from a wholesale company called Flash Furniture. At first, everything went as expected. I received a confirmation email and a pending withdrawal showed on my bank account. Within a couple hours I received an email stating that there was an issue with my order and that the order had to be cancelled. I called Newegg and they verified my information and was told that everything was good and I could reorder the item. When I got back on their site, they had raised the price of the item $250. I called Newegg and was told that issue was with the wholesaler and I had to contact them. So I contacted Flash Furniture. They told me that if the price changed it was because Newegg had changed it, not them. I contacted Newegg again. This time I spoke with a supervisor. I was told that Newegg would not honor the price that I had paid for the sectional just hours ago.
Here’s what I think happened. Newegg had the wrong price listed on the item and that is why my order was cancelled. They used that time to correct the price and then blamed the wholesaler for the issue. Then they lied to me to try to convince me into believing that the price just so happened to change in the one hour window in between my order be cancelled and me trying to reorder. This is shady business practices if not illegal in my opinion. This was my first and last dealings with Newegg.

About a month ago, I was in the market trying to find a basic gaming laptop for a good price, and I stumbled upon an MSI Laptop with just the basics for around $800 being sold by NewEgg. I did a little bit of research and decided to purchase it. However, once I received the laptop, I soon discovered that it was not compatible with the Oculus Rift, and decided to return the product after only using it one time. I went on NewEgg's website and followed their return instructions, and I even purchased their return label for $15. I was then prompted to pay a $95 restocking fee, and even though I felt that this was pretty high, I decided to just go ahead and pay it.
After about two weeks had gone by, I received an email stating "Unfortunately, the item(s) mentioned above was physically damaged and beyond the applicable Newegg.com warranty coverage as indicated in our Standard Warranty Policy." I was extremely frustrated with this email considering that I had only used the laptop one time, was positive that no damage had occurred while it was in my possession, and followed (and paid for) their shipping instructions. I had assumed that something must have gone wrong while they were processing my return causing it to be mislabeled as damaged, so I decided to call NewEgg directly.
After speaking with a very nice person who had instructed me to wait a couple of days while my claim is under investigation, they told me that I would be contacted very soon. After two more weeks went by, I knew that they would not reach out to me. (It also seems that a few other users have had this problem with NewEgg where they claim to get back with you shortly, but just end up putting their customers aside.) So, I gave them another call, but this time, the person told me that nothing could be done, and they are not liable for any of the damage that had occurred, and after speaking with a manager, they reached the conclusion that I would not be getting my money back.
I have many friends and coworkers who had used NewEgg for all of their computer and gaming products with little complaints, but now, none of us would trust them with a purchase larger than $50. As a college student, a purchase of this size is a big deal, and I cannot afford to suffer an $800 loss for a laptop I did not break. Now I am out $800 for the purchase, $15 for the shipping, and $95 for the "restocking fee." Their customer service had me running in circles for a solution that they would never provide.
I would not recommend NewEgg to anyone! Especially if you have any doubts that you may return your product! They care less about their customers than most businesses and are very difficult to deal with. Though the people we talked to sounded nice, they never gave us any solutions and just kind of blew us off. Stay away from NewEgg! Afterwards, I started looking into past reviews of NewEgg, and I found some similar stories. So far, I am very disappointed with the way that NewEgg does business. It is not professional, and they do not value their customers. And after a while of loyalty, I no longer feel safe purchasing anything from NewEgg, and I am very disappointed because they actually had some good deals, but they rip off anyone who has a problem. Not worth my time and money, and they shouldnt be worth yours either.

I purchased a new 1300 dollar laptop on Newegg, and since I live in NYC I qualify for local express shipping. Meaning that if I ordered Wednesday that the item would arrive on Thursday the next day. I paid 15 dollars for this shipping which was great. Now is where things started wrong. First, I have a different shipping address than billing address (Both in the same state and with the 40 mile limit for Newegg). When billing my bank they switched the address. However, when they sent me the order confirmation the address were labeled correctly.
I corrected it the next day around 9 in the morning and the unit shipped before noon. Thus, should have arrived by 8 P.M. Well it did not. Now it's Friday and the USPS came already and I asked if he had the package since they gave me USPS tracking number. Nope, no package. Then UPS truck came with my Amazon order so I asked if they had another package for me. Nope, so now have to wait the weekend to get my package. Now if my order does not come on Monday, I will be canceling my order.

I ordered 16 GB of RAM (G.Skill Ripjaws) for my PC build, and unfortunately it was incompatible with my motherboard. So I returned it. First of all they charged me $10 to create a return label for THEIR product, wow grabbing money wherever you can right? But it gets better. THEN they charge me almost $30 for a “restocking fee,” seriously? You want me to pay you guys more money to stick it back on a shelf? That’s outrageous! So now the $140 I spent is reduced to $100, highway robbery really. Now get this, they tell me my return will be processed within 5-10 business days, and it’s been two weeks!
I called them and asked about this and they kept telling me over and over again that it has been processed and I have to keep explaining to this lady that nothing is in my account! After I talk to a supervisor she gets very short with me and tries to shrug me off and tell me it’s not their problem, it’s the bank's problem. She was extremely rude. I think her name was Rachael. Now I hang up because she is rude and is helping get nowhere.
I contact my bank and they have no record of a return. So New Egg stole $100 from me! That’s ridiculous, bad business and even worse customer service! And reading other complaints I’m not the first. I’m in the process of building a pc for a friend and was planning on spending &1,600 all from New Egg. You can forget that. I’ll be taking all this money to Amazon, a company who isn’t a thief! If I wasn’t outside the return date for my PC I would return all the parts and get my $1,500 back! Spend a little more money and go to Amazon or literally anywhere other than New Egg. I wish there was an option for 0 stars...

Newegg has refunded my entire purchase price back thanks to Consumer Affairs. I purchased a laptop through Newegg, from Antonline. I was not happy with it at all because it only had a 5.44 download speed because of an extremely weak wifi. I returned it within the 30 days for a refund. I was told that they will not honor the return policy because they said that it has a scratch on the bottom of the laptop. I know for an absolute fact that the laptop was in brand new condition with absolutely no damage. There were no marks of any kind. My roommate looked closely at the laptop as well because I am disabled by Multiple Sclerosis and my roommate is also my caregiver and assisted me in packaging the laptop up to return it.
I have been waiting on Newegg to return my money so that I can go to a computer store to purchase a laptop as I desperately need one to organize my health tests, appointments, surgery scheduling and such. I have two surgeries upcoming and have been placed in complete limbo by Newegg with their failure to honor the return policy that I completely complied with. I have reached out to customer service and told them about the email I received from returns telling me that they were refusing to refund my money.
I am still waiting to hear from customer service to find out if they are going to be honest and reputable and do the right thing which is to honor their return policy and give me back the over $500.00 that I am now out as I cannot use the laptop, but I desperately need the money back so that I can go to a physical computer store to purchase a laptop that will work for me. I recommend to anyone who is thinking about buying anything from Newegg, to do massive research before buying. I really wish I had done more research before I purchased anything from them.

I encourage everyone, do NOT buy a GPU from Newegg. If you do and have to send it back, they will KEEP it and resell it at a significant profit due to the crypto mining craze going on. In turn, they may refund whatever funds you paid, but way later than it should and seeing how GPU prices have gone up so much, you may not be able to afford the same GPU or even find one!
I purchased a PowerColor Red Dragon Radeon Rx 580, 8gb from Newegg on 11/20/2017. I received this GPU and built my computer together. Unfortunately the computer failed to boot. I returned the GPU, CPU, and ram to Newegg to get new units. I also went ahead and replaced the motherboard with the manufacturer. The Newegg agent that helped put in the return order for the CPU and graphics card reassured me that I would get a replacement for each part. I insisted that I receive replacements and not refunds for the items since I knew that the GPU itself was in high demand and I would risk not being able to buy it if prices went up.
Days later after returning the items, a return was issued for the GPU. I was angry about this and immediately called Newegg and expressed my frustration. Prices for the GPU had gone up from my buying price of $240 to +$300 by then! I was issued a $60 credit to make up the difference and I was happy and fine with that. When the GPU became available, I did not have my refund back to buy it. Later when I finally got my refund back, the GPU was sold out and removed from the store. Similar models were selling for way more than $300 by then and sold out! So I called Newegg back and requested that I receive a bigger credit to be able to purchase one when they back in stock. They denied this request and told me to call back once they came back in stock and buy it overpriced then!
Indeed, similar models have come back in stock, but for nearly $500 from Newegg!! What difference does a $60 credit do for that? I have called back repeatedly and asked nicely for any model similar to the one that I had bought for the price I paid. I keep on getting told to request notification and wait. But I've waited, their own prices have gone and they keep on selling out!
My experience has made it clear that Newegg does not value my business and want to scam me out of hundreds of dollars for something I did NOT ask a refund. Something tells me that they figure out they can get away with issuing me a refund and reselling my GPU for a significant profit. I even saw refurbished Rx 580 8gb cards going for +$300 on Newegg that Newegg themselves were selling. I pointed this out to a Newegg agent and she simply laughed and told me Newegg does not sell used GPUs. What a lie!!!
At this point, for $500 I would buy a GTX 1080, but even those are sold out and are going for way more than they are worth! The solution is so simple and I have made it clear to Newegg on numerous occasions- give me the product I was promised or a similar one for the price I paid for! Thats it! Instead I keep on getting lied to and getting false or unrealistic expectations! Newegg buyer beware!!!!

Hello Damil,

I wanted to purchase an ASUS ROG Radeon RX Vega 64 video card that came into stock on NewEgg. They have it priced at $1,299.99. It's a $700 card. When I left a question about why they were price gouging and charging $500 over retail, they deleted my question from their website. Price gouging is a bad business practice, but deleting comments/questions from your website that don't favor your company is equally as bad. Go shop at Amazon. They don't price gouge.

Hello there,
I'm very sorry to hear this, however this is due to limited manufacturer availability with the heightened interest in GPU's for cryptomining. We do not currently have an ETA as to when this particular issue will return to normal but we're hoping that it happens soon! In the meantime, I would recommend watching our site for price changes since the price can change at anytime. If you have any other questions please let me know.

Purchased 2 graphics cards JUST before the massive shortage. Paid 479 for 1, and 519 for the second (same card less than 30 days apart). Second card has VERY minor flaw, but still worth contacting customer service after spending thousands on the perfect gaming machine. Keep in mind I am still fully within my 30 day return policy. Now, graphics cards are out of stock everywhere so I can appreciate that Newegg will have to be a bit more creative with their customer service in this issue. Newegg tells me following:
1) I can send to ASUS, which will fully void my Newegg return capabilities and leave me without a replacement. 2) I can return it to Newegg for the 519 dollars, and buy a new card when they come back in stock (for ~$799.99, their last advertised price). 3) They won't expand my return window allowance to the time frame they get replacement cards. 4) They won't offer store credit as a price match or partial reimbursement.
Seriously? I just spent thousands of dollars in less than a month, you are making record-breaking profits on a GPU shortage, and the only thing you can do for me is try to screw me out of hundreds more dollars or leave me without one of the most critical parts of a gaming computer...the GPU?! I'm writing this review to draw attention to a market which is taking advantage of its customers, and Newegg is one of the worst perpetrators. Speak out if you have been taken advantage of as well. I'm voting with my wallet. I am going to return everything that I possibly can to Newegg, once I make sure I can get those parts from a more honest company.

January 10th - Not seeing any further updates I contacted DHL who referred me to the customs broker DAI Post who upon me contacting them lodged a query with Melbourne Customs. January 12th - I got the following reply from Dai Post.
"This is to provide you an update on your inquiry. The clearance facility has advised that they have not physically received your parcel that their tracking record suggests it did not arrive with the cargo load it was allocated to. The parcel is currently reported as short shipped. The tracking shows that the shipment arrived on the 6th of January as the cargo where your parcel is supposed to be in arrived that day and the system automatically updated the milestone of the parcel. It turns out that your parcel was included in the cargo when each parcel in it was checked one by one against the list of parcels that was supposed to arrive. The parcel could have been included into a different cargo which was not reported to us so as much as I would like to assist you further, at this point you may need to lodge an inquiry to your supplier for them to investigate on their side as well."
I contacted Newegg through live chat and lodged a replacement claim to which they refused to give me a time frame that replacement would be sent or by what method. January 15th - I phoned Newegg and was told the claim would take 7 days to process. January 16th - I contacted Newegg by live chat to ensure DHL Ecommerce would not be handling the shipment of the replacement to which they replied the shipping is automatically assigned and that the claim would take 7 -10 business days to process. Second board is DOA, I contact the manufacturer, they have me do everything I have already done before to test. I sent them pictures of everything I did. They tell me to return it to Newegg. Once again, on my dime. I can't get a refund because I bought it in a combo and Newegg policy states that any item returned for refund will have the discount reduced from it, so with both shipping costs and the discount will result in me paying for a broken motherboard I no longer have. I will never buy from Newegg or Gigabyte ever again.

If I could give zero stars I would. I ordered something a month ago from them and still have not received it. Will definitely not ever order from them again. Highly suggest no one order from them to begin with. Made this account specifically to inform people that this company is horrible. Never been so disappointed in my life in purchasing something.

Hello Jackie,
I am sorry to hear this however I have sent a request for the seller to give us an update. Please allow 1-2 business days for a response back. if you do not receive an update please contact us so we can escalate the issue or send me a private message.

This is the 2nd time I have had issues ordering from Newegg and my last time giving them my business. We needed 2 new laptops ASAP for work and found the exact one we wanted at a greatly discounted price (24%). Day 1: I placed the order Thursday morning and received a confirmation email. That same evening, about 7 hours later I received an email stating the order was canceled. I called them and waited nearly an hour. The lady was nice but wasnt much help. She told me to double check my info matched up with the bank and resubmit the order tomorrow. We had already went through a separate pre-verification process with Chase Bank before the purchase and they said all was good.
Day 2: I called customer service and this time had them call me back instead of waiting. They said something like 29-42 minutes but ended up over an hour until they called me back. Again the agent was very nice but much more helpful this time (so I thought at the time). He resubmitted the order while on the phone but kept getting an IP address error so he canceled it and had me resubmit it from my computer.
He told me it worked and everything should be fine. He sent an email to the verification team to let them know everything was verified and to continue processing the order. Friday afternoon I received another email stating the verification could not be completed. I again called and this time waited nearly 1.5 hours for a callback. They told me the reason was the billing phone # showed an extension of 0 but the bank had no extension listed. To me it is completely ridiculous that is what was holding it up. I was told that they updated the issue and the order would now clear the verification department.
Days 3 and 4: Saturday and Sunday. Day 5: I received another email stating there was a verification issue. I called and had no wait this time to speak with someone which was nice. Again the customer service rep was nice but unfortunately not very helpful. I am very frustrated at this point and was probably a little rude which I apologized for and requested a supervisor. The supervisor was nice and told me she would escalate the situation (didn't help last time) and the issue should be fixed in 2-4 hours. Almost exactly 4 hours later I received an email directly from the supervisor with the following message:
"The verification team has returned to us requesting further information on your end. They have contacted the Bank and advised either the billing address or phone number with what the bank has on file does not match with the information you have provided us. Please contact your bank verbally to verify all information, Thank you for your patience."
I called the bank and they told me that the vendor (Newegg) called them Friday and Monday and the bank verified that all the information was correct. This time I decided to do an online chat but also put my name on the callback list in case the chat didn't work. It was still over a 30 minute wait to chat. The representative on the other end was again nice and assured me the situation would be resolved. Somewhere between Friday and Monday, one of the representatives helping must have accidentally added my name to the billing information when it should only have our company name on it. So the billing information had my name and the company name which I thought may have caused the issue.
But the bank still told me they verified everything was correct so this order should have been processed regardless. She again escalated the situation to the verification team. I received a callback shortly after finishing the chat session and spoke to another representative. He told me that it looked as if no one ever sent the correct request the verification team. He then told me that everything looked correct on his end and he would let the verification team know that everything was good. I received another email a few minutes after the call stating there was an issue again with the verification process and a link to update my info. I clicked on the link and everything was correct so I hit submit.
I am now waiting and hoping that it finally goes through. The purchase price was $649.99 last week but now is at $849.99. There is a note at the bottom of every verification email I received stating that order will be automatically canceled after 5 business days if the order can't be verified. Wednesday (day 7) will be the 5th business day. If this doesn't get resolved by then I will never use Newegg again and make sure I post this to every possible review website. I was already told that Newegg will not honor the sale price if the order cancels because the items were sold and shipped by Dell. I'm not a conspiracy theorist but I'm beginning to believe they want me to buy these at full price which will absolutely not happen. The only reason I have given 2 stars so far is because every person I have talked to has been extremely nice and professional. Day 6: Will update tomorrow, hopefully with good news.

Hello Jordan,
Thank you for the information and I am deeply sorry to hear this. I have looked over your order and as of right now the order is going through normal order verification. If you do require further assistance please send me a private message.

Worst customer service ever! I purchased a lens for 1253$ on January 4th, and it was supposed to be shipped from Canada, within 3 to 7 business days. On January 8, I receive a Fedex notification about the item being delayed at the warehouse because of missing information from the seller. I was surprised to notice the item was shipped from California, and upon reception I'd have to pay duty fees!! I contact both the seller and Newegg to learn more about the missing information that causes the delay and inquire about the shipping destination being California and not Ontario as initially mentioned. No answer from the seller of course, he's been paid!! Why bother answer a client when you already cashed in the money.
Failed attempts to get any form of response from Newegg. Emailed them several times and no replies. Calling them is impossible and forget about the chat option!! Waiting over an hour only to chat a few minutes with an agent who is eager to get rid of you by transferring your case to another department. Apparently, a claim has been done and I should hear back from the said department in 7 days!! What kind of a sick joke is that. You have an unsatisfied and frustrated client, who is freaking about losing 1200$$$ and yet the best thing you could do is make me wait another week to hear back from you. All I wanted was to cancel the order and get a refund. Now the item is stuck at a warehouse, and neither Newegg nor the freaking seller are answering. This is going to end up in the news for fraud. Unbelievable.

Hello Mim,

Never received my order, shipping option "deliver to post office" didn't work and order got returned to sender. Newegg created a RMA and they were supposed to send me back the package once they received it. They changed the RMA to a refund since the "items were out of stock" yet they had received my package containing all 4 items on the same day. The next day after a quick search I noticed they were reselling the items for 55$ more. I had to contact the customer service and they offered me to match the rebates I had during the initial order if I placed a new order.
On the next day, customer service contacted me saying that finally they can't match the price since the item # is not the same. Yet the model number and the specs are the same, it was just a different listing on their website (Even the reviews for both items are the same). It was only a simple order, 1 power supply, 1 hard drive, 2 graphic cards. Now it's been more than 2 weeks, 1 RMA, 3 refunds, 8-10 hours lost contacting customer service and still haven't received anything. Yet there is more than 800$ charged to my credit card for the orders (still haven't received the refund for the initial order). I can't recommend buying hardware on Newegg after this experience.

Newegg's customer friendliness and professionalism went down the drain. I recently returned defective headset. RMA was issued, label sent, then item was sitting in their warehouse for two weeks. When I asked about what happened I was told that "a cord was missing" in my shipment. I specifically double checked that all parts were sent out (including charging and audio cables). No wonder they lost it if headset was sitting there for few weeks. Finally, after another "inquiry" I was promised that "refund will post tomorrow". Tomorrow came - no refund.
Game is over, fellas. Instead of contacting Newegg over and over again regarding a chump change of 20 something dollars I'm going to start warning potential customers about subpar (bordering with fraud) service Newegg offers. I contacted Newegg and they said I had to send it back for a replacement, which would take several days from the time they received it. I explained that my computer was down and that I was unable to work, and eventually they agreed to send one out next business day delivery, which was Tuesday. (It was Sat) and hold a charge on my card in case I didn't return the damaged one. On Tues it did not come so Wed morning I called again (by the way the wait time is always over an hour). It was now Wed and I was told it would be here later in the day.
It did not come so Thursday morning I called only to be told that it had not been sent out, and was not ordered. I spoke to a supervisor who, after considerable pressure guaranteed to have it to me the next business day. Later in the day I checked the FedEx data and it tells me that it will be delivered in five days. So I called Newegg and of course the response I got was, well you'll just have to see what happens, we can't do anything. To add insult to injury she offered a discount on future shipping fees! My wife purchased a digital download of Adobe Lightroom 6 for me for Christmas on 2 December for $149.00. After gifting it to me on Christmas I unsuccessfully attempted to download the software on 26 December, I would receive the error “403 THIS LINK HAS ALREADY REACHED MAXIMUM USAGE AND CANNOT BE DOWNLOADED AGAIN”. That day I spent 35 minutes waiting to talk to someone, I eventually gave up and used chat, I spent approximately another 60 minutes with Newegg support unsuccessfully trying to download the software.
Newegg support kept sending links to my wife’s email address that she would forward to me and I would attempt to download the software with the same results “403 THIS LINK HAS ALREADY REACHED MAXIMUM USAGE AND CANNOT BE DOWNLOADED AGAIN”. After spending another 4 hours of her time and mine, I just asked my wife to ask for a refund, which she did. She was informed that they do not give refunds for downloaded software and they referred her to a Mandy ** who provided me with a link to Adobe to download Lightroom (which was really Lightroom Classic) directly room Adobe, then instead of purchasing it or doing the trial I was to enter the product key they provided.
There was one problem with this, I already have an Adobe account because I have Acrobat, Lightroom CC, Cloud Storage and other Adobe products. This would require me to open a new email account so I could register the downloaded Lightroom Classic with the key provided by Newegg and it would convert to Lightroom 6, unfortunately, this would not seamlessly integrate with my Lightroom CC and cloud storage. At this point this Christmas present had turned into a royal pain in the ass and I was done. I again asked my wife again to request a refund in full. They said no they can’t do that and referred and me to Customer Service Supervisor Brooklyn **.
Brooklyn contacted me and after a couple of days of trying sync up schedules, I do have a job and other things to do besides attempting to download software. I was finally able to sync up on 5 January, I email her at 1:03 PST and said I’d be at my computer at 1:30 PST, at 1:43 PST she emailed me back and said they were at lunch and she would call at 2:15 PST, at 3:30 PST I emailed back and said "I have now being waiting 2 hours to talk to you and I’m done, please refund my wife’s money." She emailed right back and said she was so sorry and said she got called into a meeting and she was going to call me right now. I said I’m not available, but she attempted anyhow and as it turns out she was calling my wife’s work number, but at this time it was 6:45 PM EST and she wasn’t there.
Again my wife and I have asked for a refund in full and all I get is more emails from Brooklyn. Clearly my time and my wife’s time is of no value to Newegg. I really, really regret asking my wife to get this for me for Christmas. In the past I have purchased a lot of computer hardware from Newegg and I have always had a good experience. This event has soured my perception of this store and I will never buy another product from them again.

I got a $600 monitor from them, got one with dead pixels and horrible backlight issues and clear signs of being refurbished! But for Newegg is within the standards to sell you subpar products and not to honor return/refund policies!!

If possible I would look elsewhere for your product unless NEWEGG is the distributor. Got 1 item from them quickly, the other item was shipped to an address in a different state. Newegg rep was a nice guy (Daniel) but basically useless with this issue. He said he tried to call the company that sent it (based out of Texas) but apparently they were closed (at 4 pm on a Saturday). Now I have to wait 5 more days for a response from that company, then an addition 5-8 days for a NEWEGG claim. So much for paying extra for the "rush" delivery.
If you can find the product you need from a direct distributor go for it, it takes the Newegg middleman issue out of the process. Hopefully I will receive the item sometime this month. I will definitely be posting a follow up review, either positive or negative. Also plan on being on hold for a long time with Newegg customer service and don't waste your time with the "chat" feature, I was still # 27 in the queue after the long wait and one disconnection with customer service (but I will say, that at least he called me back).

I ordered a monitor from Newegg on December 23rd. It didn’t process until the 26th because of the holidays (which I understand) but this is my issue. The Newegg employee was condescending and continually cut me off while we were on the phone. The Newegg employee informed me that the item never left Newegg and that I would have to file a claim that would take 7-10 business days (2 weeks). I’ve already waited 14 days so far and I NEED the monitor for work (it’s costing me literally 200 dollars a day).
After reviewing my order the Newegg rep told me that I would have to file a claim (for the order that Newegg never scheduled for pickup) and I would have to wait for 7-10 days. I told him I needed the monitor ASAP and the option he gave me was that I could order the monitor AT FULL PRICE AGAIN and after 5 business days they would credit the amount back so it was the original 350 dollars (it totaled 481 with business shipping overnight).
So now I have spent 831 dollars on this monitor that never left Newegg’s warehouse and my anniversary is next week in Vegas (it’s been planned for almost 8 months). We won’t be able to do all the things we planned because of Newegg’s mistake. The rep also gave me the option to wait for 2 weeks for the refund to be completed and then I could order the monitor again but I WOULD NOT receive the sales price and it would be 400 dollars instead of 350. This is hands down the worst experience I have EVER had with any retailer and I will actively reach out to my family and friends so the same thing doesn’t happen.
Newegg literally ruined my anniversary (I understand I didn’t have to order the replacement before I was refunded but I NEED the monitor for work as I am a business owner and work mainly from home). If it was any other company like Amazon or B&H Photo Video they would have issued the refund and immediately sent out a replacement (without charging me double, because it was a mistake on their part not mine).

No transparency on orders and incredibly slow feedback times. Just to give you an idea, it takes them 5+ days to check if an order is in a warehouse, and it takes them 3+ days to just issue a refund. We're living in 2018 and it seriously takes them 3+ days to issue a refund. Let me tell you my story. I made a purchase for a new computer (around 2000 dollars) on 12/18/2017, and it said it was due to ship within that week. The order quickly went into the packaging state, and I thought sooner or later, it would be out for shipment.
At first, it didn't update because I thought they were perhaps working through some heavy traffic due to the holidays so I decided to give them about another half weeks worth of leeway. However, the status never changed so I decided to contact them. Everything went smoothly with customer service; they said they would get back to me within 2 days. I said, okay then, I can wait 2 days, and they'll get back to me via email. However, after 2 days, I still didn't get a response, so I asked again when I could expect to hear back, and the customer service representative said I should hear back by afternoon the next day.
Of course, I didn't hear back from their CSP the next day, so I decided to contact them again about when I could expect to hear back. Now, they backpedaled and said they wouldn't be able to figure out what the status of the order is until 4 days after! At this point, I didn't think they would ever be able to figure out what the status is of the order, so I decided to just ask for a refund. They told me that it would take them 3 DAYS to process a refund, and there is no way for me as a customer to be able to monitor this refund. As a result, I have no idea whether or not I would even get my money back, so I have to check EVERY DAY, just to make sure they will actually honor the refund request and not just rob me.
Anyways, this is almost half a month now after the initial purchase and I am extremely disappointed in the lack of any kind of transparency especially when we are talking about such large sums of money involved. If it takes a company that supposedly focuses in selling tech 3 DAYS to process a refund; do you think this company should have any business selling tech?

I purchased a download of Windows 10 Pro and was sent a key. I installed the product and all was fine. Last week my PC crashed and I had to replace the motherboard. Upon reactivating the windows 10 pro OS I was unable to. After several contacts with Microsoft I was told the key I was using had been pirated. That it was used 20 times already and it is now blocked. That there was nothing Microsoft could do for me. Only option was for Newegg to replace the key. I called Newegg customer service and reported the problem and was told they would escalate my issue to another area and it would take 3 to 5 business days.
This is unacceptable I cannot go another 3 to 5 days for Newegg to reissue a certified key. After some discussion with Newegg representative I was promised a call back later that evening. At 8:30 PM I called back since I had not received a call. After waiting on hold for 45 minutes a representative said there was nothing they could do at that time since they were now closed. That someone would call me back the next day. I asked to speak to a Supervisor and was told since it was after hours there was no supervisor available. I purchased from what I thought was a reputable company and so far they are crooks.
After looking online at reviews it looks like this is not a rare occurrence. I saw at least 4 others who purchased the software around the same time as me and they are reporting the same issue. I have asked for a replacement key or a refund and so far it has fallen on deaf ears at Newegg customer service. If this is not corrected by today, I will be contacting the district attorney’s office to report this as a fraudulent transaction. Buyer beware, I will never buy another digital download from Newegg.

After communications with Nicholas, my filed claims with Newegg were resolved within 3 days. All items were approved for shipment and i have received emails detailing such. Its a shame it took 47 days to resolve the claims, and over 60 days from original orders before i will receive my products but in the end i will be able to build my computer. I am not sure if this was a sign of growing pains with their current business model or if a once great company is falling apart. I do know in the competitive on line world that time will sort out the difference. Good luck to you Newegg, I truly hope the best for you. Again i would like to thank Nicholas and all who helped to resolve this.

On 11/10/17 and 11/12/17 I placed several orders for computer components with Newegg, and as usual over the next few days confirmation e-mails for orders received, payments confirmed and shipping details arrived. Everything looked to be on schedule and doing fine, in fact the shipping was quick and accurate. When I started opening the boxes I noticed one tracking number in particular encompassed 3 separate shopping orders totaling over $1000.00. But there was only 1 single item in the box, a wifi card. After verifying all orders and tracking numbers, and the fact that Newegg has all orders shown as shipped and received, I contacted customer service. They promptly filed 3 claims on three shopping orders under the tracking order, that was on 11/20/17 and 11/21/17. Customer service rep explained to not worry that the claims would be taken care of in 3 to 5 business days.
Today is 12/30/17 and I have had many conversations with Newegg, until last evening I have been told to wait as the holiday season has created a large workload. Then in an e-mail I received last night it was explained that the warehouse states the order was shipped complete and "there is no option for us to honor the claim. Thanks for your understanding".
I would like to know how the warehouse got an 11x10x6 inch box to hold a 240 mm water cooler, an Asus wifi card, 2 Western digital black hard drives, a Corsair mouse, an M.2 SSD, a led light kit, an HDMI cable, a 32 gig Corsair RAM kit and some fan screens? It won't all fit! Not to mention well over a month to being told I'm having my money stolen, thanks for understanding! What in the HELL Newegg. Buyers beware, Newegg is no longer the great company they were. I have done business through them since my first computer build in 2003 without a hitch. I guarantee this was the last, and I'll be sure to pass that along!

I have never heard of this website but received two packages from them to my door via FedEx during this holiday season (one a Razer Blade and the other a Intel Core i7). I didn't order either and did not even know what "Newegg" was. Turns out there had been ~$6000 in fraudulent orders placed in our family's credit card on Newegg in December. We only received two of the packages (none of the packages, despite being $1000+ items, required signature on delivery and were probably swiped from the porch by scammers.) The packages appear to be legitimate, but no one in my family ordered them or approved the purchases. We will be reporting fraud to the bank. I have read Newegg fraud protection is sub-par and a common site for scammers to use. Also sounds like this style of scam has been going on for the past couple of years. Would stay away from this company for your financial security.

It needs to noted that if you purchase anything from Newegg that has a rebate coupon associated with it and you mail in your rebate coupon you’re automatically ineligible to return the product even if it's defective. You're left dealing with the manufacturer. Rebate coupons have a very limited window for their submission and if you're unlucky as I was and submit the rebate application as quickly as possible to meet the deadline you risk being left holding the bag. Within a week of my purchase I noticed the rear USB port on my ASRock DeskMini was not working. I spoke with customer service and they said, "Sorry we can’t help you." I brought this issue forward in a review for Newegg and they refuse to publish. Avoid items with rebates. They're a pain to start with or buy somewhere else.

I have been a Newegg customer for years but after this experience with returning two computers I will never shop here again, and I will never send another customer to the website. I purchased two refurbished Lenovo AIO's. I wasn't expecting them to be perfect but I did expect them to be decent and what was shown in the picture. One of the computers had a dead spot on the screen and the second one had 4 GB of Ram instead of 8. Rather than the Lenovo wireless mouse and keyboard they both can with a super cheap keyboard and mouse that was basically trash. Keep in mind I bought these to resell to a customer for some extra Christmas money so they are taking space on my credit card I could have used for gifts because I was expecting to sell and make a little money on the install.
I was on the phone with customer service for two hours. I just wanted to exchange them for the two computers I actually ordered. The customer service guy kept going on about the different ways he could do the return, whatever that means. I sent him some pictures and he said he could take care of it and I would receive a callback, this was Saturday the 10th. I waited till Tuesday then called back.
Now I was told that they were out of stock on the computers so I said, "Just send me return labels." I was tired of dealing with this. When Something is wrong with an order all I want to hear is, "Sorry for the mistake. We are sending you return labels." I shouldn't have to spend four hours on the phone to get an exchange or my money back. There were two other call I made afterwards. The order was placed on 12/5/17. I received it on 12/10/17. They received the return on 12/18/17 and I still don't have my money back. I had to order the computers from a different company so Christmas was very tight.
Newegg customer service is the worst I have had to deal with and I deal with lots of vendors. I checked my invoices and between myself and two dozen of my customers we gave Newegg about $25,000 in 2016, it was probably a little less last year but they will receive $0 from me in 2018. I have already emailed my customers a new vendor website. It's not much but I hope it hurts a little bit. Newegg needs to treat customers better.

Hello Cory,
I am sorry to see this has happened however we will go ahead and get this refunded. Please allow 3-5 business days for the refund to process once the RMA is closed. I also wanted to offer $50 off shipping on your next Newegg order, items must be shipped and sold by Newegg. If you wish to speak to me please send a private message.

I have been using Newegg for over 10 years. I have never had any issues with the many orders I have placed over the years. The only negative thing I can say about them is the time it takes to receive an order. (Yes I am talking about Newegg as the seller and shipper.) They are not the quickest on getting stuff out the door. But I really do not mind because they make it up in their pricing and inventory. I would recommend Newegg to anyone looking for computer parts!

Newegg gave me an amount to send for the order to be completed using BitPay payment system. I sent that amount but was told it was insufficient to cover the invoice and that I should request a refund. I had followed payment directions and sent .0072476 ($141.47 USD) for an order that requested only .0063514 ($123.98 USD). The refund I rec'd is only for .004796 ($93.11).
I lose $48.36 USD for no reason of my own - THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE AND NEEDS TO BE FIGURED OUT ASAP. I have placed numerous orders with Overstock.com with zero issues. Who can fix this? Even a store credit/gift card for the difference would be acceptable but losing that money is not. This is a mistake they won't own up to, won't attempt to understand the problem, or an outright scam to take bitcoin from people without the need to ship orders.

Hello Christian,
I am sorry to hear this. It looks like you have spoken to another agent and they explained we only received $123.98. We have refunded that amount back. If you did send more, I suggest contacting BitPay directly because we did not receive the amount. If you have any other questions please let me know.

So I bought a headset through "Newegg", it was a refurbished item so I was skeptical. But the headset would have made a good present for my little bro and it was cheap. It said all items were tested, hahahahaha. Then send me a perfect headset without a scratch and I was impressed, until I went to plug it in. The wireless receiver for the headset was visibly split in two (would have to go out of your way to be this stupid). And didn't work at all, so I message customer support. We start the process to get me a replacement sent out and she gives me a packing label for UPS for the return.
Problem was that label was for UPS, and the closest one was across town so I decided to pay the 14 buck for shipping through someone else expecting to receive the new headset. It is fine because it is still was cheaper than buying new. It gets back to them and what do they do... they take my headset and refund it and put it as unavailable on their website. It was available when I returned it and the lady said I would get a replacement.
Instead I end up paying 23 bucks in shipping I will never get back, waste about 3 hours of my time, and what do I get. Nothing, it's two days before Christmas and I told my little bro his present would be a little late. And I end up getting nothing, having 80 bucks out of my account right before Christmas. And have to go shopping at the worse time of the year. Never buy from these people, they just know how to make headaches and support shipping companies. Pay $68.91 before costs of shipping back, and they are going to refund me $53.99... Don't get back my GST/HST after all this BS.

Hello Dan,
I am sorry to hear this however we can provide you with FedEx return label instead of purchasing one however the item has already been returned and refunded. I would like to assist you, if you wish I can leave notes in your account for $40 credit off your next order as long as the item is shipped and sold by Newegg. Ordered electronics from Newegg back in November. They apparently are not the sellers of the products only a front. They billed 7 days later. Took the money, pretended they got a tracking number from UPS and then never sent the product. Newegg and their "sellers" are counting on people being busy and never noticing they took your money and never sent the product. I have contacted them 4 times and now they are saying I have to file a claim. Really, you waste my time with saying you are sending product repeatedly, keep my money in your bank account to earn interest and then you almost 30 days later decide I need to file a claim. Newegg you should be sued for unjust enrichment. Newegg you are scam artist.
UPDATED ON 01/05/2018: NewEgg who is in CA is an outstanding SCAM company. They sell for other companies B & H cellular who is in NY. Product was finally sent after ordering over a month ago after asking for a refund since they said they did not have the product any longer. Nicholas said that they would refund the price of the product since they no longer had the product in stock and could not send it. Yeah right sure Nicholas. Nicholas would not communicate via email after a lengthy conversation because he knew nothing about the product or when it would be shipped or why it had not been shipped. I have contacted Newegg over 6 times trying to get this resolved and he said that he was going to look into the claim I filed with Newegg.
An iPod was sent and arrived yesterday via USPS from another company Win.IT in CA. The product they sent was not a generation 6 iPod. I ordered a generation 6 and that was what was on the receipt. Newegg/Win IT send a generation 5 iPod. The iPod also does not charge and will not keep a charge with their included charging unit. When it did manage to charge enough it said that the cord was not the correct charger cord for the unit. It is also likely that the product is counterfeit after speaking with Apple. I am sure the Federal Government will find all your shenanigans very interesting. I would not recommend Newegg to anyone or their subsidiary companies Win.IT or B and H cellular in NY.

Purchased an open box laptop: laptop was defective. Requested RMA. RMA was approved no problem. RMA policy: (1) UPS Ground/FedEx 5-7 business days to Newegg facility in CA. Best case scenario: 30 days for replacement, 28 days for refund. From order date. Worst case scenario: 37 days for replacement, 30 days for refund. From order date. The underlying issue: failure by Newegg to test open box product and verify functionality. Selling defective item to customer. Who is punished? The customer.
My funds are frozen with Newegg, so if you don't have extra thousands of dollars sitting in your bank account or a fancy credit card - you are completely screwed. I needed this laptop so I can start school January 2nd and visit my dying grandma with dementia overseas while keeping up on school work. What did I do? Contacted customer service. 3 hours + in the queue on chat and on phone. Newegg customer service: we can't do anything for you, this is the policy. Ended up ordering the same laptop from Amazon while waiting on a refund from Newegg. I've been a loyal customer since 2013 and spent thousands of dollars there. I will be deactivating my Newegg account after my refund is processed and will be using Amazon instead.

After seeing reviews for this website I was unsure about ordering. I was looking for a large Grave Digger monster truck for my son for Christmas. I only found it on 3 sites, Newegg having the best price at $35 and no shipping. I couldn't see paying over $50 plus shipping from somewhere else, so I took a chance. I ordered it on a Tuesday and the tracking info said the estimated delivery would be the following Tuesday. Newegg uses FedEx SmartPost which also has bad reviews. I watched the tracking every day. The truck was shipped the first day and it was at a FedEx warehouse. Then it sat there for the next 6 days. I thought for sure it wouldn't come in time, but sure enough, Monday night it went cross country and was delivered to the postal service early Tuesday morning and to my house a few hours later. I would recommend Newegg, and order from here again myself.

Then said I needed to wait for the delivery date to file a claim with FEDEX. I spoke to FedEx before the Newegg Call. They said Newegg is NOTORIOUS... For this fraud. They also repeatedly missed product descriptions necessitating a costly return. After they refused to take ANY responsibility I gave them the boot for Amazon.
I gave them another try last month and again they have failed me and rubbed salt into the wounds. Upon purchasing a computer case I find that their website description was horribly incorrect, and that the case will not work for its stated purposes NO MATTER the modification. Not only did they not assist me with my problem, they WILL NOT return my emails. Their automated system will take the case back, but only after forcing me to pay for their mistaken shipped and a further 25 percent restock fee on an item that came to me ill described AND damaged. Item went out of stock 1-2 weeks after I issued an RMA that changed from repair return to refund. If I want to order the same headphones, I have to pay a premium price elsewhere). I bought a headphone from Newegg before Black Friday because an item was on sale. I tried to send an item for repair because the ear pads wore out in less than 2 weeks so I requested an RMA and waited 4-5 days for a label but nothing happened so I contacted customer support. The guy who responded told me that no RMA was issued and that a shipping label would be sent within a day or two.
The first email Newegg sent me told me they approved an item return for a repair. 3 hours later Newegg changed it from a return to refund and processed it without contacting me so I was forced to receive a refund. I also purchased a 3-year warranty from SquareTrade so now I have to contact them by phone for a refund. I placed an online order for a toy for my daughter on November the 27th. As it was nearly a month later, I checked the order status and tracking number and found the shipping update was unavailable. So, I circled back to Newegg for a resolution, explaining that Christmas was nigh and I wanted my product found and delivered. I was originally given the suggestion to contact the seller directly - which means Newegg's responsibility is what exactly? I was then put on hold and ten minutes later told that the seller would be contacted, and would have 1 to 2 business days to respond. If they didn't, I was told to circle back and then the marketplace team would get involved with a resolution within 3 business days, which would put me after Christmas.
I was then given the lovely suggestion to purchase SOMETHING ELSE FROM NEWEGG if I wanted a gift before Christmas. After telling them that would never happen in my lifetime, they put me on hold for another fifteen minutes and then flatly stated they were going to refund my money since no supervisors were available at that time - the middle of a weekday. I received a confirmation email but much to my surprise the headset did not appear on the order! I contacted customer service and they stated it was out of stock... but as I stated to the customer service representative, I checked before I purchased and they were in stock.
They proceeded to tell me I was out of luck and first come first served... but I was a first come first served!! It was in my cart when I purchased. I'm not sure how much more first come first served you can get... I stated that this was deceiving and the customer service representative then stated they may get them back in stock before 12/31/2017 and MAY be able to send me one but they will have to check. I asked about a refund and it will take me 3-5 business days to complete leaving me little if no time to get another order placed in time for Christmas. Now it says "This item is currently out of stock and it may or may not be restocked." Also it has been removed from the searchable manufacturers in VR headset?
This is all very odd behavior and I believe I have been mislead. I would call this a bait and switch and/or false advertising. 7-10 days for a claim on a shipment that was lost by FedEx, then add in ship time to that. Ordered an i5 8600k on November 30th, shipped the 1st of December, with tracking not updated since Sunday the 3rd (7 days with no scan). Was told by trace dept that the item was sent to Florida on the wrong truck, and yet tracking says it left Indiana on the way to IL. If it was shipped from New Jersey towards the West how did it end up heading to Florida? Which is it? I believe since they still cannot find it, that it was outright stolen somewhere along the way.
I have requested a replacement from Newegg, and they are giving me the runaround about when they will replace the item. I have spent 620.00+ dollars this month at their business and this is the way I am treated? It is on Newegg as the seller to provide service, I didn't pay FedEx, they did. I am disgusted by the situation, and having used the site for many years for purchases, I believe I will switch fully to B&H from here on out as they treat their customers better. On 11-29-17 I ordered a small server cabinet. I paid for it and proceeded to track my package. The Newegg tracking website stated a day later that the shipment was due to arrive on Wed. the 6th. On the 6th I called one of the worst shipping companies AIT to find out why it was not delivered as stated on Newegg's website. They stated it was loaded on the plane late so it arrived late. What Newegg and the awful AIT do not tell you is that when you order a large item AIT hands it off to some losers that only ship once per week. Get it? Once per week. I call these "other" people and they tell me that they only service my area on Wed of each week which meant that I would not see my package for another week.
For almost $200.00 in shipping charges you would think that this wouldn't happen but it did. So I proceeded to call customer service, these people (Newegg) never answer the phone I was on hold for almost 35 minutes, for a big company you think this would be a shorter wait time. Once they answered they said that I need to call AIT, so the circle-jerk situation starts with me getting handed off to AIT where they finally said they could not help because they no longer had the package and I have to contact the people that AIT farm out to.
So Thursday the 7th I engage in Live Chat with someone at Newegg customer service where the person says to me after I explain everything all over again, "Yeah, I am on chat with the shipper now. I will see what I can do." So I wait and wait then he comes back and asks me if someone can be at the house on Friday, I ask my son who is a student if he could stay home to wait for this delivery, he said yes. So the guy on chat said it will be there between 1-5pm, so I figured it all worked out. Come Friday at 2pm I check the tracking website again and no status change, I called the losers to see if it is being delivered, they told me they know nothing and they cannot deliver until Wed. This place must be run by 2 people or something.
I get on Chat with Newegg, different person, well They know nothing, See nothing and then inform me if I RMA'd my delivery last night when I spoke with the other person on Chat, I said, "No I did not", by this time I told them that they have no right to ask me to wait until next Wed, remember I paid close to $200.00 for shipping and I told them I already had someone home waiting. They said they could not help me and I told them that I can't have people take off work to wait for a package that may or may not show and that it was not right on how this is being handled. They give me the typical function key keyboard responses on how they are sooo sorry. At this point I told them to take it back, they did not deliver when they said that they would, they refused to handle the situation because they are inept at doing so, and they left me hanging.
I WILL NEVER purchase anything from these people and to top it off they stiffed me for the full shipping charges, these should be reversed as it was their error. Remember anyone ordering anything large and it comes shipped though AIT. Good luck, AIT does not do residential deliveries. This should be specified right up front. It is not. Good luck trying to contact these people, they have designed their company to stay hidden behind customer support and chat flunkies.

Okay so out of the 4 components I ordered from Newegg I have had to send two back, defective mobo, defective cpu. Now when sending the cpu back I get a tasty email informing me that my i3 is missing from the return, after contacting them and assuring them I put that i3 into that return, you would think it would just take one day for them to go back and check the return. No, it's day three and I am just left wondering if I need to do a local shakedown or if it was just a error from Newegg. This is no way should be taking the time it's taking, very unconventional and stressing.
Updated on 12/12/2017: Update on previous post, I sent in a i3 8100 for replacement as it was showing signs of the silicone being defective. Guess what? They sent me a empty i3 intel box claiming my items were stolen. That was after stalling for a week not updating me on any information, JUST that my i3 was missing. I am now on a lengthy claim with FedEx and I am SURE I am out $130. This company is so shady, you would think that a customer that may have had his product stolen, or somehow missing would be a top priority to get back in contact with. Nope, I was treated as if I didn't even put it in the box. I am done with Newegg and would suggest you too. It's okay if you buy and the stuff works, but if you have to ever RMA something BEWARE.

The next day I received an email stating that my order had been canceled. They offered no explanation as to why. I've been trying for the past 3 days to get ahold of someone in customer service to get a refund for the item I paid for and to also make sure my credit card information was not compromised. I have received ZERO response to any of these attempts. Today when I tried to contact the seller, I got a page saying "Sorry, this seller cannot be located." This company has yet to respond to any of my emails, messages online, or any other attempts at contact. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY!

Hello Naomi,
I do see that this orders was shipped and sold by one of our marketplace partners Buckeye Tool Supply. They had canceled the order since it was out of stock on their side. If you do require further assistance please let me know.

Order some small parts from them and they shipped via DHL. The shipping took a very long time with no status update from the tracking so I contacted their customer service to get status. The phone call was 40 minutes wait, chat was an hour wait. Rep was not helpful and were basically robots that keep repeating the same words again and again. Took multiple chats to finally get to the claim part and was told that I would have to wait ANOTHER 7 business days before claim is looked at. What horrendous service. Hopefully this will finally get resolved soon but not too optimistic.

Hello Jeremy,

Ordered some DDR4 RAM from this site. They offered a ETA 3-4 days free shipping. Sounds great right? Wrong. They used DHL to ship my 0.25lb package. Way to cheap out. I could have paid $5 more and just picked it up at a big box store. But here I am a week later waiting for a van to drive across 10 states stopping at every damn city on the way to drop stuff off and pick stuff up. I will never shop here again. At least when Amazon says 3-4 days they can actually back up their promise by forking up the extra $0.75 on a reliable courier. When I asked why they chose DHL to ship my package I was told "I'm sorry we used DHL. It's because of the warehouse you ordered from." So it's my fault? Is that what they mean? Does DHL even still do consumer logistics? If there's one thing I regret about building a server, it's giving Newegg my money.

Hello Michael,
I am sorry to hear this however I do see the shipping method that was chosen was 4-7 business days, which does not include the weekend. I also do see the package was delivered on Friday the 8th. What I can also do for you is I am going to block DHL from all future orders you do make with us. If you do require further assistance please let me know.

If I could give zero star I would! I have emailed this company multiple times, Facebook, and when I went to do the chat with them it kept timing out my session. I received a confirmation stating my package was shipped 5 business days ago. I have my USPS tracking number, but USPS still hasn't received my package. I am trying to call and find out how long this shipping process takes but I can't get a hold of anyone! This is supposed to be for Christmas present and I would think ordering a month in advance would be plenty of time... Either way I will never purchase anything from here again!

There is no protection if the order you place is through one of their 'marketplace' partners. Day after I purchased rather expensive TV, the price elsewhere decreased several 100 dollars. I tried to cancel order but was told it already shipped and that if I were to return the TV upon arrival, I would have to pay 15% restock fee (per 'marketplace' partner policy). This does not come across when you purchase. WEEKS later, we still have not received TV. We were told it was being trucked here and still won't arrive for another week. How in the world could I be told it shipped day after I ordered and it's still being trucked here.
WE HAVE BEEN GIVEN THE RUNAROUND. Today, I was told we could return the TV if it hasn't been opened without stocking fee. WHAT?! That is not what I was told the day after. I would have canceled order then. NewEgg cannot do anything because it is through a 'marketplace' partner. BEWARE. The sale prices aren't available anymore. So we lost out on several 100 dollars. Lesson learned. We will not order from them again. This is a company that has an A+ BBB rating...you have got to be kidding me. They have no control by using their partners. Makes them not liable for anything.

I even found a discount code to reduce it further. 3 days later I got an email that my order was cancelled. There was a 1 hour 45 min wait to talk to someone in person so I tried "live" chat. I started the cue as #54. After an hour I finally spoke with Lanie and was basically told that they would not honor the price. The price is now $120 more than what I was initially purchasing it for. Was given no other options. Horrible customer service.

I order approximately $5,000 to $10,000 worth of computer equipment per year from Newegg.com. This isn't a ton on the scale of a large business, but as a private consumer that is quite a bit of money to be giving to a company. When I put my latest order in for ~ $500 I thought, "no problem, this is all straightforward and there is nothing that should get confused in this order!" To my utter dismay they sent me the wrong product in shipping. I looked at the packing list and it had the RIGHT product and all the info was correct for the order. Fairly disappointing at this point I still know that I can receive the correct product if I call in and speak with their Executive Customer Service branch. I did so and was told that this didn't exist, which irritated me to no end because I spoke with them about 1 month ago when ANOTHER order of mine was incorrectly shipped.
Thoroughly irritated at this point I make the assumption that this representative is new or just doesn't have the correct information, I ask to speak to his supervisor, letting him know that I am not mad at HIM but dissatisfied with not being able to receive my product until AFTER they receive back the incorrectly shipped product. The manager puts me on hold for almost 10 minutes before telling me there is nothing that she can do to help speed it up, she isn't able to issue any coupons and is unwilling to try and find the Executive help team.
At this point I changed my return to a refund and decided that I would NOT be using Newegg.com anymore for any of my purchases. Newegg has been my primary resource for electronics equipment of all kinds because until this year they have not messed any of my orders up. Against the advice of many friends and professional colleagues I have continued to use them. Now, after being blown off by a supervisor who is supposed to be in charge of making customers happy I have had enough. I would highly recommend AGAINST utilizing Newegg.com in any capacity and take your money and your business to other vendors who appreciate how to run a business and how to conduct Customer Service!

When I contacted customer service I was told they had to submit a claim to research the package location, since it showed "shipping label created" I called 3 business days later and was told they are unable to find any remarks but the website showed "item not in stock" and I had to wait. A few days later I received email with resolution "refund" which was about $20.00 short of the purchase price which I have to wait another 3 to 5 days (or more) to receive. When I contacted customer service to request contact info to file a complaint I was told there was no address, they can only forward feedback to management. Since most sales are over, and the prices for gaming computers went back up, I am back to square one "no computer".

I ordered a computer screen during Black Friday sale. I received an email stating that an order was placed. The following week on Tuesday I received an email that the order was cancelled due to an issue with the credit card payment which supposedly did not go through. The email stated that the order cannot be re-submitted and a new order at the current price is necessary. I checked the credit card account and no payment attempt was recorded. I contacted the customer service and was told Newegg had sent an email informing of the payment issue on Black Friday.
I searched my email account and spam folder and could not find any such email. Customer service was very unhelpful and did not offer any solution. There was no attempt to identify what the root cause was (e.g. issues with the Newegg ordering system on Black Friday) and keep me as a customer. Customer service confirmed that the sale price could not be honored and that I need to purchase at the new higher price if I want. I am in the process to close my account with Newegg.

Now immediately after being told about this I returned to the site to see that the item was in fact in stock but simply sold at a higher price than what I had agreed to pay. This was in stock by the same seller that I had bought from. Newegg refused to take any responsibility in this matter and simply told me that if I wanted the same product I would have to take my refund and pay the inflated price for it. Had I known this on the day of my purchase, I could have purchased any number of products with which I would have been happy. However, because of Newegg's horrendous service, I was unable to purchase anything at a reasonable price.

Ordered several computer parts through Newegg and decided to return some of the parts, one of which did not work. The shipments that came directly from Newegg were contained in 2 boxes, other parts were dropped shipped from other retailers. The return included 2 boxes and I was issued only 1 RMA label. After 2 hours of hold and being re-routed over the phone I was told I would be issued an additional RMA label for the second package. It never came, so I sent back 2 items in one box. Newegg responded by email stating the return was incomplete and that they only received 1 item.
I am 100% certain of 2 items being in the box I returned, so a $150.00 item just vanished into thin air. The whole process was so frustrating and time consuming I let it go. All in all I intended to return about $500,00 of parts, was credited for a $59.00 part minus 15% stocking fee and another part sent back to Newegg disappeared. In total I spent at least 1 hour in queue for chat and a total of about 3 hours of phone call holds. I would not advise anyone to purchase from this retailer.

I recently placed an order for two hard drives on November 28, 2017 at 1:15 pm EST. As per their Rush Processing expedites the fulfillment of your order so it can be packed, shipped and on the road the same business day it is placed. "For Rush Processing to be effective, your order must be submitted and charged before 2:30 p.m. local time, Monday through Friday. If the above conditions are met and we fail to ship your order the same business day, we will refund the Rush Processing fee." However when I started a chat with Newegg and was given a run around that rush processing was completed successfully when it wasn't.
During my order on a mobile device the "hold at FedEx" option was not there. So I went into my FedEx account to place a hold on the package only to find out Newegg restricted this option so it can only be delivered to my address which is in a high theft area. I have no idea why Newegg would do this but I would like to know who is going to be liable if this order is stolen? This isn't the only time Newegg has done this with the shipping but they really need to stop!!!

5 years ago I ordered my first gaming PC from Newegg. It was a pre-built PC. I made sure to look every part in the computer to make sure they were decent for the price. They seemed okay. The shipping sucked (they made me wait 3 days before they actually shipped it out, then another 5 days of shipping time). A few years later after learning about computers, I realized they scammed me by putting a cheaper CPU and a cheaper graphics card into my computer. I'm not sure if this was iBUYPOWER or if it was NewEgg themselves. Either way, Newegg should have checked the PC before shipping. Today, 5 years later, I am giving them another chance. So far I paid for 2 day shipping and they have taken 2 days to package my order. Not sure if this will reach 3 days of "packaging". I emailed them and requested 1 day shipping to counteract the ridiculous processing time. If they help me, I will update this review.

Newegg was supposed to send me 4 ethernet cables and a switcher (ethernet port hub). The invoice that they sent with my package was correct, but they screwed up and instead of sending the switcher they send something called an "iFixit Pro Tech Toolkit". Now I ordered this on the 18th, but didn't arrive until today on the 28th. That's fine, it was the holidays. But after waiting 45 min to talk to an actual employee, I was still patient and polite when speaking with them, yet they tell me they don't even know that they still have the item in stock (which they do), and that they will issue me a refund (which I don't want). I simply want to be rushed the item I paid them for.
I told them if they rush me out the item (after telling them that it's still showing in stock) I will mail back the toolkit if they send a return shipping label. But no, I would FIRST have to wait. God knows how long to get their shipping label, send it back to them, have them process it, and then finally get part of my money back. (B/c they want to charge me a restocking fee for something THEY made the mistake on!)
I already paid for the item immediately, waited 10 days to supposedly get it, didn't get it, waited 45 min to speak with them on the phone, and then they want to charge me a fee on top of that to fix THEIR mistake??? All that means is that I loaned them my money for free for probably the better part of a month with no switcher to show for it.
Then they tell me I can buy it again online (pay for it twice- which I can't do even if I wanted to) and then only after they get their toolkit back, they will refund me the original price I paid- minus a restocking fee for THEIR mistake. Which means I'm being penalized by paying for it twice and having to do all this waiting for shipping labels, etc. just b/c NEWEGG made the mistake! This kind of customer service is atrocious. I suppose they thought that I was just making it up, just to get a free switcher, but for some reason their website wouldn't allow me to upload a screenshot of the toolkit. I'm going to spread the word with my tech friends online, "DON'T buy from Newegg!!"

After checkout and looking at the confirmation email, I noticed the game was not included at the end.
I contacted their customer support, twice. Both times I was told since I didn't follow the link in the ad, and get the bundle with the game, I don't get the game. Not only that, the drive I bought is the ONLY one that "required" the bundle. Nowhere in the ad does it state that you had to buy it as a bundle, and nowhere in the ad does it state you had to click on the links in the ad to make the purchase (I compared several drivers before picking the one I did). The free game's link was listed on the page with the drive, not the bundle. There was also supposedly "free shipping" but when I checked out, there was no free option, I had to pay $4 minimum.

I purchased a set of computer component frames from Newegg, specifically from a vendor that was vetted by their website known as Centrix International Corporation. The product was paid to be shipped two day. Of course it arrives in three days. Did I ask for a discount on the shipping, nope, never hassled Newegg on that. Upon unboxing of the item several of the PCIE risers were bent and damaged to the point of non-use. The packaging was horrible. The correct amount of cables were not shipped. They appeared to be tossed into the boxes at random. Product was unfinished to the point where metal furring pieces had fallen into the electronics making them un-usable, putting me at risk for a fire in my home, or damaged to other computer components. Cables that came with these frames are known fire hazards throughout the industry and will melt when used.
This could cause someone's home to burn down if they don't throw them away/stop using them immediately. Newegg allows and continues to allow the vendor to falsely advertise the power supply rating on this product. Parts of the frame were fastened using zip ties, hardly a professional product. After ordering replacement parts and spending days to re-assemble the frames I contacted Newegg and filed a claim. Newegg stated I would need to speak with the vendor. Numerous attempted phone calls to the vendor were met with voicemail, and no callback after leaving my contact information to resolve the issue. Newegg failed to communicate with me and told me to talk to the vendor. Newegg did nothing in attempt to remedy this situation. With no response from the vendor I was forced to charge back a small portion of the damaged frames on my credit card.
Finally the vendor communicated back to me once the bank got involved. The vendor required me to send back the damaged items, however at this point I had replaced the damaged components, and fixed the frames myself as time was of the essence. I could not send back the frames at this time, however I believed that the portion of the chargeback was warranted due to money spent on replacement parts and troubleshooting time. Newegg never offered any portion of a refund to settle this matter. Due to the fact that the vendor would only accept the full unit shipped back I decided to cancel the chargeback with the credit card company and just take the hit on Newegg's failures on vetting these people. I paid the invoices in full.
Recently I have attempted to log back into Newegg's website to browse items and noticed my account was banned. This makes no sense as I have paid the invoicing in full. I did post a poor review of the product on their website to warn buyers. This review was written professionally and yet it was removed from their website. To this day you can read many poor reviews of this item on the website. The vendor has also changed the product page to hide these negative reviews. Product link below.
In summary Newegg failed to ship my product on time, damaged it in shipment, allowed false adverting, removed legitimate reviews, banned my account, and pushed me off onto the vendor with non-existent support. All unethical business practices in my opinion. All of this and I ended up paying the full amount for this product just because it was a waste of time. Up to this point I had a perfect record with this company, thousands spent on this website, I have one simple claim, I am blacklisted and banned. Boy does this company make good customer service decisions or what? Now all I ask is my account is reinstated so I can review my old receipts for tax purposes. When I talk with one of the customer support reps, they basically state that my account will stay banned, with no explanation why. I even explained that the charges were paid in full.

I needed to change my address on an order. "Edura **" could not do it. Canceled my order and refused to honor original price. I ordered a Intel CPU from Newegg. For some reason it pulled an old address and used it as my shipping address even though I had never ordered from them before. I sent them a chat and asked them to update my address. Apparently they can't do that.
Edura said I had to cancel my order and reorder it. When I went to order the charge was $289.99. My original charge to my bank was $244.99. She argued with me about the price and said I was charged for some game of $59.99, but then said it was free. I told her I would send a copy of my bank statement. All I wanted was to pay the same that I originally paid. After I offered to send proof (bank statement) she canceled my order, disconnected the chat and refused to offer any resolution. I then had a "Paul **" enter chat with the same attitude. He offered to have a supervisor call me the next day. They obviously don't care.

Unfortunately they started to trick the valuable customers, for example I ordered a brand new Apple iPhone 5c 32GB Unlocked but I received a very funny refurbished one. I understand the item was on low stock due to I checked the unlocked phone everyday so I definitely knowing that the item was out of stock and they really want to do a trick on me. I was willing to spent my money on Newegg but I deserved a over 30 mins phone call on a customer hotline and need to wait for the RAM for return and has to pack it and ship it back. I really wish that they just tell me the item is out of stock and I don't need to waste my Time Time Time. I was a die hard fan but will not make any purchase anymore.

Hello Damien,

Later the same day I got notification that 1 item had shipped, I checked the webpage and it showed 1 item had shipped and the other two were being packaged, they shipped later that day according to Newegg with an arrival date of November 22 just like the first package. Come November 21st all three packages still show November 22 arrival date.
I take November 22 off work, check in the morning. The other two packages now show November 24th and November 27th arrival dates. I had paid for expedited handling and guaranteed 2 day service. I expedited the issue to the supervisor who now requested more documentation of the damage and indicated it would be expedited, but that's still another 2-3 business days. I got my items after 4 days of them riding around on a FedEx truck not going to my house. They refunded my shipping. I was still made to file a police report.
Original Review: Nov. 4, 2017
FedEx claimed my package was delivered. It was nowhere to be found. I contacted Newegg customer service telling them that my order was marked delivered yet I had not received it. I was told to file a police report for a stolen item, which I have. I was also told that they would get in touch with FedEx to resolve the problem. It has been a few days, and after checking the tracking number again a different shipment with the same tracking number is stuck at a local FedEx facility. They are claiming that for two days in a row "customer was not available." I was home at all times they tried to deliver so they definitely never even showed up at my doorstep. I don't even know at this point ever I will get my $700 worth of items or a refund. I would advise anyone considering using Newegg to use extreme caution in doing so. I will most certainly never give them my business again.

I just about have had it with Newegg!!! I got a the Newegg charge card through Synchrony Bank, because I have a couple other cards through them and have never had any problems. Can't say the same with the Newegg card. I used it on the site for some purchases and those were successful, but then a week later decided to go shopping for some more stuff only to have my order cancelled and account disabled. When I called Newegg Customer Service all they could do was ask for the account to be enabled. They told me I had to wait 1-2 days to replace my order. I waited, tried again, and failed. When I called back, the Customer Service Rep. told me he had to send in my request once more.
So, I waited another 2 days and again, couldn't place the order. I called back and asked to speak to the same representative and he told me the verification department denied my request, so I would have to create a new account. So, I went ahead and did that, but what he failed to mention was that when the verification department denies your request, they also make sure you can never use that card to shop online again. Can you believe this?? I mean how can a technology company be this dense, where the verification department doesn't even call or email you for proof of identity. I mean, okay, I'm all for making sure someone hasn't stolen your card and gone on a shopping spree, but common, this is bordering the ridiculous! So, I had to go back to Synchrony bank and request they re-issue a new Newegg card.
I waited 2 weeks for the card to arrive, went into the site to shop again, and guess what, my order got cancelled, again tonight! I asked the Customer Service Rep. what happened and as usual, she didn't know. I have to, now, wait another day or two. Now, I'm livid! This is the worst online electronics store ever! They don't let you place orders with a charge card they endorse, god forbid you order a drone, because that is too expensive and you must be a fraud, and wait, they cancel your order and block your account. Plus, you can't even speak to anyone from the verification department -- they make sure they are out of reach! They need to revisit their stupid security/verification system and get some people who can actually do some real work reviewing these types of issues. DO NOT recommend shopping at Newegg, unless you are up for a real waste of time and hassle... forgot to mention, headache!

So I made some emails and customer service took them till the following Monday to reach out. They told me "expedited shipping" would be but on it. I like the features they give for saving a wishlist and being notified of price changes on products that you are following. I had an experience where I jumped on ordering an item when it went on sale. The following day the price dropped again. I brought this up to customer service through the website chat. Why would I keep that box? I had no idea I needed to keep a shipping box lying around my home. This is not a reasonable request.
Within a couple of day the laptop "died" and would not start up. I returned my laptop packaged very nicely in a new shipping box. All the components including the laptop, laptop bag, keyboard dust cover, manuals and power adaptor were sent back to you. All of these items were shipped in bubble wrap. My return claim was denied because they said it had to be returned in the retail box.
WHen I explained there WAS no retail box, they said it had to be returned in the Newegg box. They denied my claim for a refund for no good reason. This is the worst customer service I have ever encountered. I want my laptop replaced by Newegg, or my money refunded. You have no right to demand that I return a defective item in a Newegg shipping box and NO retail box was provided to me. Please refund my money, or replace my laptop as soon as possible. First issue, I received a FedEx tracking number, from Newegg, which turned out to be invalid. After contacting Newegg customer service I was told the product I had ordered was coming from Asia and for the first time was informed about the 8 to 15 "business" days, ok first flag. The tracking number had to be tracked thru a website called 17track, second flag. So the product finally made it to the USA and thru customs on 8/11/17. So I thought again great, that's plenty of time.
Now however, the tracking number is non traceable so back to customer service. They provide a FEDEX number and when I track it, it has a delivery by end of day on 8/18/17, I think good, I'll have my glasses in time. Well of course that did not happen and the delivery date has been changed to 8/24/17. I asked for a refund from Newegg and am told since this was a third party order (Really? Newegg has my money!) they cannot issue a credit that I will have to deal with the supplier. I don't think so and I will be disputing the charge with my credit card company. When my wife and I first received it, we both commented on the odd shipping because it did not come in a Newegg box, but in a box within a box. The box inside that contained the laptop had someone else's return address and an RMA number written on it.
Upon opening the box we noticed there was a bit of separation in the upper right-hand corner of the monitor, but figured it was because the item was refurbished. We plugged it in and allowed it to charge for the afternoon. My wife turned on the computer and noted that the product was Windows 10 when the one we purchased was supposed to come with Windows 8.2. She downloaded Chrome and began the process of Windows updates before going upstairs to put our children to bed.
Upon returning, the computer had turned itself off. We rebooted the computer and received an error message and that Windows was restarting. When it restarted the entire screen had streaks jetting across it that resembled the warp drive special effects from Star Trek. We then turned it off and put it back in the original packaging we received it in (including the handy laptop bubble casing). It was late and so we called Newegg.com in the morning and got a return shipping label. We sent it back per their instructions and waited for our replacement or refund (depending on if they could fix it as they did not have another of that type refurbished in stock).
We talked to them once and were told that the return department was reviewing our return. A few days later, we received an email that our RMA would not be honored as the laptop was badly damaged and they would send it back to us. Now the laptop had no physical damage other than the separating of the right-hand corner of the monitor when it left my home and we were very confused because we had reported this damage when we received it. My disgust and shock when I received the laptop back. First thing I noticed was they actually sent it back to us in the odd packaging with the other customer's return address on it (we sent it back to them exactly the way we received it, two boxes and all) and instead of putting it back in the laptop mailing case they had just stuck some bubble wrap in the box.
The right-hand corner of the laptop was smashed, the monitor on that side badly cracked and the unit itself also broken. I know for fact there was no physical damage outside of the minor separation. It seems suspicious to me that they told us that they would either refund or fix the problem and return it and the place where the damage is evident is in the corner that was broken when we received it. It seems to me they fixed it alright and in the process did a con job on a family that could not afford to lose 300 dollars and really needed the laptop (it was part of my wife's student loan for her online classes). I am highly disappointed and have to wonder about the ethics of this company because I know that it was not damaged in this manner when it left my hands.

I purchase a Pioneer Blu-ray player and I tried to have a refund because this item was not compatible with my plasma TV. First, they charge 15% in restocking fee and they don't refund the 10$ of handling fee that they charged when I bought the Blu-ray player. I tried to drop it at the address that TEK Liquidation gave me, but it was a closed shop. So, for an item I paid 115$, I would receive 76.50$ in refund + a waste of time and gas. I am very disappointed. I'll never buy again from Newegg.com.

BUYER BEWARE. Newegg will only warranty any product for thirty day period. Basically buying from them will void all warranties with the original manufacturer. In my case it was a Ubiquiti bullet camera. This quit after 9 months and had a 1 year from the manufacturer but not after I bought it from Newegg. Warranty is void! Sooo the good deal you think you are getting is only good for thirty days from Newegg. Not such a good deal AT ALL.

I called the customer service line and asked that they change the shipping address, because it was going to my billing address and was informed it was already in the warehouse and nothing could be changed, except for canceling the order and then having to wait to be refunded before ordering again. Right now I'm just hoping I can arrange for someone to be at my home when it arrives. The product was prohibitively expensive and the notion that it will most likely be stolen because of my neighborhood is not something I look forward to. I would not suggest using this company. Amazon may be a bit more expensive but they will cover theft and are more than willing to contact the shipper to change the instructions for delivery, unlike Newegg.

And they are already out of stock and company have limit 1 card per 48 hours now. So I need to wait another 4 days and order another graphic card because of that. My bank account was fine and on second day I bought another graphic card without problem.
So, company just ripped me on 2 graphic cards and now I'm short on equipment. After I called support they didn't offer anything except faster shipping for my next orders. Absolutely not helpful. I probably will never order anything from them. No reason to buy there anything if they can just cancel it anytime without reason. P.S. My credit card info was 100% proper. However Newegg explained to me that I have to wait 3 to 5 business days for the credit to go back to my card. Why is that? The seller has received the item. The credit should be able to be issued immediately once the party has received their item. I needed to purchase another item and there was only one left. However I have to wait 3 to 5 business days to be able to purchase the item.
This is ridiculous that now I have to wait when they should be able to take care of it themselves and issue the credit immediately so that I can use my Newegg credit card. The customer service representative very unhelpful and one hand does not know what the other is doing. I will never do business with this company again. I will just pay off my bill and put this card in the garbage. Newegg needs to review their policies and make the necessary changes!
Updated on 06/26/2017: The required time had gone by and I tried to order another watch which was 30 dollars more expensive and this charge did not go through. I looked at my Newegg statement and realized I had been charged twice for the amount of the item ($1226.00). Called Newegg and explained the problem that it had been two weeks and still no refund to my account. They told me again I would have to wait 3 to 5 business days. To date I am still waiting for the credit back to my Newegg account. Why do customers have to keep waiting while Newegg tries to get it right. It is clear that Newegg needs to get its policies in order and stop holding the customer hostage!

I placed Order ** on 6/7/17 (at 2:00pm), even paying for Rush Processing. They sent me my Sales Order and then a separate email (at 2:20) confirming that my card had been charged. What happened next is what changed my opinion about them. At 4:49, I received an email from them informing me that the product was out of stock. That has simply never happened before. This is upsetting for two reasons: first, they took an order for something not in stock. Secondly, they took the money and THEN informed the customer. If this had been a debit card, I would have been out all that money with no product to show for it. It may technically be legal, but it's sure as hell unethical.
A call to customer service turned out not the incredible customer service folks of the past but a rep who did not give a single damn. I once wrote a glowing review for Newegg that was so nice, they sent me a free ballcap (pic attached). It pains me, after 11 years of using and recommending them, that they have slipped down into the dregs of ordinary pissant internet vendors. I won't be back.

I purchased a compressor from Newegg at the end of May for my husband's birthday. The first issue was that it was left at our front door by Canada Post. When we opened the box the compressor had notably been dropped during shipping because the outside housing is cracked and the engine itself now sits crooked. We called Newegg and they said they would contact the Marketplace seller (who was Elite tools) on our behalf. We got no response within the 2-4 day period. So I called and chatted online to Newegg a 2nd time to customer service. They elevated the issue and said they would handle if we did not hear anything for 2-3days. We didn't hear, so when I called back they said they were putting the issue in their own hands. I must mention that each phone call or chat we make we spend at least 30 minutes and there have been at least 4 or 5 now.
2 business days later (which amounted to 2 weeks later) we received a RMA number with a note saying we had to return the product. So we repackaged, along with the letter and taped the RMA number to the package as requested by Newegg. We went off to the post office today only to find out Canada Post would not cover shipping. Now we are stuck with a broken compressor. It has been 3 weeks. We are not paying to ship a 50lb item! We are now back on the phone again to try to get a prepaid shipping label to return the product wasting another hour of our time today. So frustrating. I will never purchase from Newegg again after this.

I have been building my own high end gaming pc's for over 10 years now. All told I have built at least 12 rigs for me and my son. I always swore that Newegg was the best place to buy components. Recently I have noticed that if you're not careful you can end up paying 2-3 times more from a 3rd party seller. Last month I ordered a gaming mouse from Newegg. Not really paying attention I just clicked on the mouse I wanted. When it arrived I realized that it was used and broken. There was dried food it and the latch that was located underneath which held the weights was broken.
For the first time ever the review I attempted to post was declined so I then posted the same bad review on the sellers review board (it got posted). A few days after it went up the seller (from China) actually called my phone to ask me and I quote, "If you remove your review we will give you $5". I couldn't believe it. When I called the Newegg CS number their exact response was "Sorry man business is business. You should have clicked the box that says Newegg only". A good way to verify that Newegg is allowing the 3rd party sellers to rip us off just go to the site and search "gaming mice" you'll find mice that are $1000! Then click on "Newegg only" and you'll see the same mice for $75-$125.

Last week I placed an online order for parts to have a custom gaming PC built for my son who just graduated from 8th grade, (high honors his last year), and his birthday is **. He's been talking about a gaming PC for almost 2 years. He started putting money away to save over the last 6 months because of how expensive they can be. The IT guy I work with is going to build it for him, so he compiled a list of what my son would need. I placed the order and later that afternoon, I received an email saying my order was on hold. I found that they processed 2 orders (even though I only placed one) because of a "free" game that came with two other things I ordered. It flagged my bank as fraudulent. I was advised to call my bank to have them allow the transaction. Called Newegg back and was told the prior rep gave me misinformation. He re-ran the order on a different card, since now I have over $800 pending on my debit card.
He said he was seeing the same issue, so that was voided automatically. I was on the phone with this guy for an hour and a half! He said his supervisor said there was an issue with the free game on their end causing orders to void out. I told the guy I didn't give a crap about the free game, I needed these parts by Tuesday (6/6). He was able to successfully process it without the free game one order. Weekend rolls around... Sunday I open Newegg's website and see I have 11 things in my cart and no open orders. I check my email and only had received the one from the original canceled order. Really?? I was livid! 3 times they voided my order! I did some online chat since they weren't open. That person said she had to send it to their verification dept for review.
So, Monday morning I call and I'm told it takes TWENTY-FOUR HOURS to be reviewed by verification and that they don't even call, they send an email telling me I can replace my order. Umm, no thank you Newegg! I talked to the IT guy and we went to Fry’s and just picked up the parts. Sick thing was, Newegg emailed me Monday afternoon saying I had 11 items in my cart, do I still want them? Ha! Nope! It was not until later that night that I got another email from Newegg saying they reviewed the account carefully and found that I can now place my order. They are absolutely terrible! Luckily I had a backup plan and my son's PC is being built as we speak. It'll be ready for his party on Saturday the 10th! He has no idea he's getting it!

I'm in the market to buy a PC now that mine is getting old. I had one from Newegg picked out and planned to buy it after my next paycheck, until I was displayed an offer to save $100 off my order if I signed up for Premier. It seemed like a good deal to me, since I was a new shopper and there was a 30-day free trial if you signed up for the annual subscription. I planned to subscribe and buy my PC now instead of waiting since the extra $100 would leave me enough in my bank account to be comfortable for the rest of the week until payday.
So I go to sign up and fill out the form, except when I click to submit it, nothing happens. I am redirected to my cart. No confirmation, nothing. I go to my account overview to check and see if the membership had been applied and there was just a bug, but nope! Nothing there either. Okay, so it was probably just a fluke. I clear my cookies and try again. Same thing. New browser. Same thing.
I open up a customer support panel and let them know what's going on. I then spend the most agonizing 40 minutes rehashing the same two sentences back and forth with the CSR because they don't seem to have any reading comprehension whatsoever. I then go back and find that, mysteriously, the $100 off offer is gone. Not wanting to waste any more time, I ask the CSR if he can confirm whether or not the offer is valid, because if it's not, I don't want Premier. NE: "Premier members get free shipping." Okay. That's not even remotely close to what I asked. Talking to Newegg CSRs is like talking to a poorly developed artificial intelligence. Remember Cleverbot? It's like that.
So I sit there for a bit and try to decide whether or not I can justify spending the money now. I decide I can manage on a couple hundred for a week and send in an order only to open my bank account and realize there is a false positive and one of my deposits is still pending despite being shown in my useable funds. I immediately cancel the order (within 20 minutes of submitting it -- my card HAD NOT been charged yet) and go about my day. I'll buy it next week when I know I have more than enough money. That's where this should have ended, but no.
The next day, I go to my bank and find that there's a charge on my account. What gives, Newegg? I canceled, and I received a confirmation of approval of my cancellation. You shouldn't have processed my card. Once again, I'm talking to another incompetent CSR. This is the best part: I'm sitting here with the charge log right in front of me and this guy is telling me they never ran the transaction. I show him a screenshot of the charge (with important personal details censored out) and he STILL denies it. "Nope, we never charged you."
I have the proof right here that he did, and he becomes increasingly more rude and lies to my face. "If you canceled your order, how would we have charged it?" I don't know, Will. You tell me. I hang up and go call my bank. Guess what? The charge HAD been posted, just like I said it had. I had to spend an hour contesting the charge to have the amount refunded to my account. Never again, Newegg. NEVER.

The first response was, "We didn't receive it." Now, I have to tell you, I am in my 60's and I've been responding to mail-in rebates since in my teens. I can count on the fingers of one hand how many times my envelope did not reach the intended recipient. So, after some back and forth, the CSR said the $15 would be credited to my bank account in a few days. When I checked back, it was, "We changed our minds. You can have a $15 credit to our website." I refused.
She basically said, tough luck. I wrote a snail letter to the CEO, only after, may I add, when I asked CSR for the name and contact information of same, she said, "You cannot have that information. That is private." I found it on my own (with no problem). So, I got a response from the office of the CEO. He said, "Your $15 will be credited back to your bank account in 3-5 days." That was some time ago. More than 2 weeks, in fact. I have tried to contact him. He will not respond.
OK. My $15 is gone. I see that. I'm not rich. It hurts. I would never have bought these without the rebate offer. Oh, and, may I add, the connection of the mouse to the computer is so old school that it is pitiful. Of no use at all. Newegg, not so new. Old scam, still working. I feel like an old fool. An agent told these are returned items, and people forgot to change the package when in warehouse. They offered to replace. It took a week for the refurbished items returned to Newegg. Replacement was canceled as one of the models was not in stock. I had to place another order. It took half a week for the refund to be finished. When the second 3 toothbrushes arrived, I found they have all been fully charge, while Philips told me these items need 24-48 hours charging before use, so there shouldn't be any power. Newegg agreed to return all money back after they proposed to send only 85% money since the packaged were opened. It took half a week for the returned items go back to Newegg, another half week for they inspect the returned item before the refund issued.

They shipped me a physically broken motherboard. (A screw on the back of the mobo connecting the back to the front had been over-tightened, presumably by the manufacturer, and broke the plastic housing it was in.) As such, I went through the RMA process and returned it.
First, they say, "Please allow 2-5 days for processing once Newegg.com has received your return." It took 10 days and multiple follow-ups to get it processed, double their promised "maximum." Second, Newegg rejected the RMA saying, "Unfortunately, the item(s) was physically damaged and beyond the applicable Newegg.com warranty coverage as indicated in our Standard Warranty Policy." They shipped me a physically broken motherboard and now want me to deal with the manufacturer? How is this acceptable business practice? That's like Target telling me to go talk to Sony because Target sold me a broken TV! They make you wait double their promised RMA processing time and then tell you it's not their problem they sold me a damaged product?
Additionally, I had to pay to have it shipped back! While I haven't had a problem with Newegg before, I've never received damaged product before either. I now know what other people meant when they commented on Newegg's customer service. I would recommend steering away from Newegg. You can find almost all the same products for less money on Amazon, your local store, or other retailer. The same motherboard was available on Amazon for slightly less. Additionally, Amazon's next day shipping charge was $8.99. Newegg's is over $40. Part-way through the RMA process I just bought it off Amazon because I needed a working computer right away. They then argued there was a 3rd party vendor (Laptops4Less) and that Newegg wasn't the seller even though I paid them (my credit card receipt reflects this).
They send the defective laptop (the fact that it's defective isn't in dispute) back to me to dispose of! So on top of being stolen from, I'm supposed to pay to recycle the thing. I've filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and will sue them in small claims court if those folks do nothing. So I am building my pc and some of the very last pieces I need are my ram cards. I saw they had some pretty cheap but good ram cards so I ordered them from here. I'm trying to get my build done as soon as possible so I figured I'd pay for 2 day shipping so I could try to finish up. 2 days come around and they still aren't here so I go to check on the tracking and they hadn't left the facility. I started wondering why they hadn't left or anything until I was informed after the fact that Newegg's "2-day shipping" isn't that whatsoever.
In the support page, they state that it's 2 business day shipping but for some reason they don't put that out there when at the checkout screen. And it's not even two day shipping! It's 2 day shipping but you have to wait a day for processing! So you are paying $15 dollars to get scammed out of shipping as fast as possible, have to wait a day for your order to process, and then you can order it in Thursday or you won't get it until next Tuesday or Wednesday! This is an absolute scam of a website. I was always told to order everything from here but I will never do such a thing again. They may be cheap prices because they scam you in the shipping and handling. Will never order from here again.

From the beginning, dealing with this company was impossible. FIRST PROBLEM: They emailed the invoice but I was unable to open their weird attachment, and so I could not print, and I needed the invoice for taxes. They refused to include the invoice in the box, and they refused to print it and put it in the mail. NEXT PROBLEM: Defective products. NEXT PROBLEM: They gave me a return number, but no shipping label. Because I am not a big company, I can't get the same shipping rates and return shipping will cost as much as the product.
NEXT PROBLEM: I tried repeatedly to contact them for shipping label. They have no phone contact, and never answered email. NEXT PROBLEM: I finally got customer support on a chat window. They said they are a marketplace and the seller had to send the label. I asked for seller contact info and they closed the chat window. NEXT PROBLEM? I just filed a dispute with my credit card company. We shall see.

I bought my daughter a refurbished laptop for school work in Nov 15 with a 2-year service plan. It was advertised with Windows 7 professional. It came with Windows 7 Home edition loaded. The unit had issues out of the box and completely died by Feb 2016, still under vendor warranty. I had complained and sent reviews to Newegg about the false advertising from day 1. They blocked the review and did not respond. It took a couple weeks of prodding to get the computer replaced when it failed and I got stuck with paying partial shipping, as Newegg capped shipping reimbursement at $15. The replacement also came with Windows 7 Home.
The hard drive failed again in February 2016. I had to dig and make phone calls to Newegg to get the extended warranty coverage as Newegg does not share it with you at the time of purchase. I found out Mywarranty.com was the actual service company. I called them, got a return authorization and mailing label on the spot. They will not repair the computer, they issue a replacement credit with Newegg to replace the computer. I was ok with this seeing the first one is junk. They said the credit would be issued 2-3 days after the Laptop SHIPPED.
I contacted Mywarranty.com 2-3 days after the unit was RECEIVED by them as I had yet to receive my credit. I got a response back stating it takes 5-7 business days. I shipped the computer Feb 16. They received my computer on Feb 20th. It is now March 2nd, with no credit issued and neither company will give me an update on the status. I had service warranties from a major competitor in which they would repair and return laptops with 5 day turn around and all shipping paid.

Newegg failed to deliver the same item 2 times. The item not delivered was part of a promotion, buy the item and receive another item free. However, the original invoice split the charge erroneously. When I refused to have the failed delivery item delivered for the third time, they only issued credit for less than half of the value, by their voodoo math. I offered to return, at their expense, the free item, unused, but they refused to accept. Now I'm out my original cost, plus I don't have the missing items from these thieves. The use of voodoo math worked in their favor. Last purchase from me for Newegg and I will seek restitution through the Attorney General for them and shout their bait and switch attitude from the rooftops for stealing my money. Bad, bad, bad company.

It was a very poor quality as to what was advertised on their website. I returned it as soon as I opened it. I returned it in the same condition the next day after receiving it. I paid $629 FOR THE COMPUTER. I GOT AN INVOICE ** ON 2/22/2017 showing that $521 was going to be returned instead of the original $629. This is a ripoff. I returned the computer in the original box and condition the next day after receiving it. They took $100 as a punishment for returning a poor quality computer. That's why I will never order anything from them anymore. It was my first time to order any item from the company.
I warn anybody willing to purchase any computer from Newegg to read the customer reviews first. I highly recommend Amazon because they will always refund the money without any penalties. I recommend customers to check with Amazon for any item they need to order. They will never regret. That is why Amazon is having good profits because they are trustworthy. Never buy any computer from NEWEGG. You will be risking your money. Very disappointed customer.

Purchased a $200 gaming video card. After Newegg shipped to wrong address, they issued a replacement. It had been advertised with a rebate, so we followed instructions to clip UPC bar and send in rebate. Two days later, supposedly new video card started flickering endlessly and gave way. Newegg claims because we sent in UPC, they cannot take it back. Could I possibly be in the twilight zone? They tell you to send in UPC for a rebate but don't tell you that makes product unreturnable? Highly deceptive, can't believe this isn't illegal. What a bunch of jerks. Never will buy from them and wish as so many customers did, that I had read the numerous terrible reviews. The worst part of this was this was a unit that my 11-year-old son saved up $200 for a long time to buy. Ridiculous and heartless.

I purchased a computer and the associated extended warranty for my disabled son.The computer was damaged. I contacted the warranty company, ServiceNet; they advised they would send a return box. The box did not arrive and a week later they called and told us to return it to the manufacturer, and they were closing the claim. I began another claim with ServiceNet about December 20th and was advised the box would be coming. On January 4th the box still did not arrive. I contacted Newegg and was given an RMA number.
I returned the computer on January 5, 2017. Newegg contacted us several days later stating this was the wrong RMA type and that they would send it back and we needed to return under a new RMA #. Once the laptop arrived back, we received an email asking for further details. We responded with a phone call on January 24 and were advised that a new RMA number would be issued and they would refund the purchase. At this point, I purchased a new laptop from another vendor. Today we were advised they will not refund the purchase. I am now left with a nonfunctioning computer for which I purchased an extended warranty.

I ordered an open box item and it did not work. I did the online RMA and it told me 3-4 months for a replacement part so I called the joke of "Premier" customer service to see how I could get the item sooner. After overcoming the language barrier, I was told to buy a new one at full cost and wait for a shipping label and new RMA for a refund vs the exchange I had previously got. I tried for months to get his label but could not break the language barrier. They hear one word in a sentence they understand and read scripted responses until you say yes.
I finally got the shipping label and returned the item. Take is even marked by them as being an open box, and they declined my return saying that I did not return the open box item, despite it being labeled by them as an open box. They are insisting that I originally ordered a full price one and I tried to return it when I found it cheaper as open box even though their documentation shows the open box was ordered first. Nobody at this company understands a bit of English. Avoid this company, if you have a problem it will never be resolved. I've been trying for almost 6 months now, repeating myself and not a soul understanding any of it.

Returned a refurb desktop computer for a replacement. This computer would turn itself on daily at the same exact time, quite scary. The hard drive was noisy and from my experience on its way out. The Windows OS authorized number was not given. With the computer, I received the China made cheap keyboard and mouse. I never opened up the keyboard package. Returned all items, as well as, my wireless mouse's USB adapter still in the computer's USB port. Called Newegg about the USB adapter, and get this, they found it and returned it to me. Well, TY. But then they fabricated a story that the keyboard was missing thus "Incomplete Return". I have searched my home and there is no keyboard in a box lying around. Why would I knowingly keep their keyboard? I am overrun by keyboards as it is.
Now this is the deal or should I say RAW DEAL, I will be receiving the same computer minus the keyboard perhaps. No satisfaction. I am being ripped off. It is in their best interest to deny my return because of the deal I got in the first place and the cost for them to fix a refurb and to send me replacement is way more than what I paid. It's easier for NEWEGG TO LIE about the package and send back the piece of junk they sold me. First time buyer at Newegg and it's my last.

I ordered a refurbished, hybrid laptop. It's fine, but the whole experience was terrible otherwise. I paid $5.99 for three-day shipping, but once I got tracking info (which was not actually sent to me via e-mail until the package was already delivered; I had to contact Customer Service to get it), the delivery date was a whole week out. They do not mention during checkout that 1-2 extra days will be tacked on for "packing and processing." I immediately demanded my money back, and they refunded my shipping cost after trying to give me a gift card instead.
I wrote an e-mail to Customer Service describing my negative experience, and the rep that responded seemed to think this was all okay because the extra days are mentioned in tiny text in the confirmation email. I recently bought a flagship laptop from newegg. ca and had a horrifying experience. I purchased the item in the middle of October 2016 and the issue is not yet resolved. They sent me a laptop that had a faulty battery. The laptop could not stay on if not plugged into the power which defeated the purpose of having an ultrabook. I returned the laptop as faulty and it went through their tech centre and they sent it back to me with a report saying there is nothing wrong and the problem had not been fixed. I called them back immediately and said they never fixed it and with the courier there and back to Alberta more than 30 days had gone by despite the laptop being in my possession for about a week. They said for this reason they won't take the laptop back again. They basically treated me like I was lying saying that the laptop didn't work when it was their incompetent tech department that never diagnosed or repaired the problem.
They told me there was no way they would do anything for me and I had to contact the manufacturer. At this stage it had been more than a month since I paid for it and I didn't have a working laptop and newegg. ca refused to assist me at all. I had to contact the manufacturer in the USA and I am still busy arranging for them to receive the laptop. 3 months later and I am without a laptop and my money because of the disgusting service from newegg. ca. I'm gonna start off by saying Newegg has great products and great service when it comes to getting your orders, making transactions, and overall punctuality with response times. Okay that's great and all, but where does that leave returns and refunds? Dead. It's a lost cause as far as I'm concerned. For Christmas I ordered a PC parts list for both my Gf and I. I wanted to surprise her on xmas and build her a nice gaming PC and also some upgrades to go along with my current system. The order went smooth as ever. All my items arrived on time. Everything I got was what was advertised. Great! This is where Newegg shines from my experience.
Okay so after doing a boot test on the motherboard I purchased, it was dead. No post. (Which is something I've always taken into consideration. If you're gonna buy something don't expect it to always work.) So I thought no big deal. I'll go ahead a place it in an RMA pile. Next thing that happen was the backplate for the liquid cooler I purchased was missing. Again a little disappointed. But oh well. These things happen. Again into the RMA pile. To shorten this part of the story. I ended up returning three items. Mobo, cooler and a low profile power supply that didn't fit the case I purchased. AGAIN no big deal. I get it. Problems happen with components.
So around 12/05/16 I printed my free RMA label, boxed everything and it was at the post office that morning. Great. So 3 days go by and I notice their tracking number they gave me for the RMA is invalid. Thought maybe it hasn't reached the facility yet. So I wait longer. Now a week has passed. Still nothing. The return should have arrived by now. At the least in the beginning of unboxing and processing each item. So I contact Newegg through email. I get a response 3 days later. (Again still nothing on my RMA.) I'm asked to give them screen shots of this Return because they haven't received this package yet. So I do. Another week passes. Now keep in mind... You get 14 days from shipment to receiving for the RMA to be valid. It's been over 14 days now since the item hasn't reached the facility yet! So where did my return go?! I've never had problems with the post office. I made sure the item was handed to a person there to be processed.
Now I'm getting an email again from Newegg. They're telling me they are having trouble locating the tracking number for this Return and that it's possible the carrier had an error. Still waiting on a response now. Either way the RMA is void. The package will be returned to me most likely and I'll have to start this process all over again. From now on. I'm sticking with the manufacturer's warranty with each product. It might take longer. They might charge for shipping and labor. But at least you get something in return for the troubles. I recommend other Newegg consumers to do the same.

Newegg will accept a return but will charge me over $15.00 for shipping and restocking. I tried to "chat" online to no avail. I asked for a call back from customer service but when it came they put me on a static hold until I finally hung up. This wasn't my mistake and they just lost my business over $15. I bought a Linksys router ($300 equipment) and noticed the product has a lot of quality issues. I had to reboot the router every other day. This is not a personal taste issue, but a real technical issue. I filed for a refund with Newegg. They charge 15% restocking fee, despite the fact that I'm telling them the router is not stable. This in itself is a total scam as they will eventually resend this to the manufacturer now that I have stated there is a problem. So they scam the customer for 15%. Next I ask the agent if I can use the money to buy something else with Newegg, so as to avoid the restocking fee, if losing the business is what Newegg is worried about. They will not honor that request as well. I asked them can I at least use the amount to buy something else directly, without refunding to the original payment method. They decline to do that too.
So effectively, Newegg does not care about customers or their satisfaction. They just need to scam you out of every possible cent. There is a reason why Amazon grew up to the monster that it is today. It was my mistake to take that stupid American Express Credit Card offer to buy in Newegg. I would personally stay out of American Express and Newegg.

When I asked for a refund of the $59.99, I was denied. I have disputed the charge with my bank. On one order, $59.99 is subtracted from the total, therefore constituting the "discount" they believe is being applied. However, the same $59.99 charge then shows up separately under another order resulting in a net charge to me that is unchanged, all for a "free gift" of Watch Dogs 2 (a video game) that I never asked for. I got the SSD on the 30th (fairly swift). The CPU cooler was listed for 12/3 at the end of the day. This review does not reflect on the individuals I spoke with, as they were kind and tried to help. I ordered some computer components on the morning of TUESDAY November 29th after signing up for their premier membership. I chose RUSH processing and OVERNIGHT shipping. I needed this order by THURSDAY, DEC 1. My first issue was when trying to pay. They, for some unknown reason, use a separate website for verification of credit card payments. This started as an oddity, and quickly became an issue as my payment was declined by my bank for suspicious activity. I had to call into customer service to have them resubmit after spending much time in figuring out what exactly I had to do.
After that got resolved, I waited a day before checking my account to see the status of the shipment. To my dismay, it still said "Packaging". I called customer service again to find out why it hadn't been sent, and they simply told me that they cannot call the shipping team only email. She emailed them and told me I would hear back in 2 days at the latest. I never heard back. Today (12/2) I called as my order still said packaging. I asked them to find my order, and cancel it if they are unable to give me a proper shipping date/time. I was placed on a hold for a few minutes before the agent came back to simply inform me the order was cancelled. I clarified with him that I wanted a status update first. He apologized and proceeded to talk to a manager. Minutes later, I got an email stating that the FREE DIGITAL GAME that came with one of my components was out of stock, so it cause them to cancel my order.
When the agent came back on he informed me that an order has to go out altogether. Otherwise they will cancel the order if any one thing was out of stock. I found it interesting that the shipping team could so quickly email me now, 4 days later instead of informing me from the get go, or during the multiple times I called looking for an update. They have some SEVERE deficiencies in the process, and it needs to be resolved. I will no longer shop with Newegg.com.

Recent bank statement had a curious debit of $9.95 (traced to Newegg). Despite calls to eBay and PayPal about a $9.95 taxed on "SERVICE CHARGE", neither eBay nor PayPal stated that there is NO RECORD of this charge, and that Newegg summarily took my information and debited my account. I was warned about Newegg's 1 star rating (emphasis supplied). I have notified both eBay and PayPal about Newegg's violation of their policies. Caveat emptor.

First time ordering with Newegg and I'd thought I'd take advantage of their Black Friday sales. Everything was fine, until I suddenly received an email saying 2 of my 3 orders were suddenly voided due to a verification issue. What?? Then why did one of my orders, with the exact same information get processed with no issue? I called them immediately and the lady on the phone was able to help me right away. A few hours later, I received an email saying they had cleared up the issue on their end, but I could now reorder everything. Except half the items were either no longer on sale or in stock.
Their phones were no longer running that day, so I waited an hour and a half just to chat with a lady who kept saying there was nothing she could do for me, not even make sure my future orders weren't cancelled without warning. On top of that, she even dared to imply I was at fault for not checking my order status every second to catch the moment it was voided. I will call again tomorrow and hopefully speak to someone more competent.

I have been shopping at NewEgg for many years (at least 15). I buy the vast majority of my computer components from them, and I have built several systems over the years. I would say my success rate with functioning components is at least 98 percent. My purchases have always been shipped and received promptly. When I have contacted reps at the company, I have always received an answer. I've had to return a few things and I got my money back without any problems.
With that said, I just can't understand how so many people could give such negative reviews on this company. Do you really expect perfection? Hey, they're a huge organization. Not everything will go smoothly. Well, believe what you want. The best review to read is from someone like me who has spent as much money as I have, and over so many years. You can get a better idea of the quality of a company that way over someone who has made only one or two purchases. I highly recommend this company. I still price shop on their competitors' websites, but most of the time, if it's computer related. NewEgg ultimately gets my business.

I have just gone through a week and 15 or more attempts to order computer parts from Newegg and was constantly refused because the default billing address was not the same as the one on my credit card even though I kept changing the default address to the right one over and over. It seems that when you select a different mailing address from the billing address the system changes the billing address to the mailing address and the credit card is rejected because of this. Mind you that I had made numerous purchases to the account at Newegg with the billing address not being changed by the mailing address.
Finally, I talked to Matt in customer and he was awesome in his patience and professionalism. Also he was very knowledgeable, telling me about a little tick box at the bottom of the billing page that notifies the system at Newegg that the billing address and mailing address are different. Where is the tick box? After the credit card info box just below the screen after the proceed to checkout box. Who would look there? After all that tick box should be located on the previous page where you select the shipping address. Imagine that.
I spent an entire week calling and attempting everything in the book to resolve this problem of the billing address changing to the mailing address and nearly pulled my hair out in so doing. Why would you ever change the billing address that is linked to your credit card and bank you use to purchase things since you can't order anything if that is changed. I do not feel stupid because I could not figure this out for a week. After all you can't find the phone number to talk to a human at Newegg. Ssssssh, it's a secret you know. For all the hype about their great service, they sure don't provide it, that is until you turn blue first. Thank you Matt for your patience and knowledge. You are a true asset for Newegg. Truly a one out of a thousand. They don't pay you enough. Thanks.

I tried to build a computer with parts I bought exclusively from Newegg.com. I was extremely dissatisfied with the level of service I received. I tried to be organized and obtain my shipment as one package to save them and myself time and money, but I noticed that several of my parts came in dead on arrival (DOA). That's fine, so I submitted an RMA claim, got some packages to ship them back in, and did so using their prepaid shipping label. That worked out alright, the day after I shipped my RMA parts back they received it the day after - BUT, it took until another week to ship me back my replacement parts since they had to put it in its exact place in their warehouse. So, I'd get a text from my shipping company, stating that they received the package, but then I'd have to wait an extra week to get my RMA replacement product. Very poor customer service.
After getting my replacement products, I just kept getting DOA parts again. I understand that this is not within Newegg's control, but with respect with what they do control, namely how long and arduous the RMA process is, it can be really frustrating if you want to get your computer build going. If you keep getting DOA products through bad luck, you have to deal with Newegg's poor customer service. You have to wait an especially long time to get the products. I could understand if you spent $10 and had a difficult time because that's such a small amount of money, but it really sucks when you spend thousands of dollars on parts for a new build, only to be treated very poorly. There should be better incentives for those who get bundled products from Newegg.
The worst part is that if you just have one part that keeps coming in as DOA, you have to send in the whole shipment/bundle to get a refund, or you can only get that one part replaced. This isn't just for "combo" deals, if you choose to just get a bunch of products shipped into one order, you can't just refund one of the products in that list. If you keep getting DOA products, there isn't any kind of "no lemon guarantee", you just have to keep rolling your dice and hoping you eventually get a functional product, which is an extremely unhealthy approach that the customer needs to take.
I know that it's the product manufacturer's fault that the products are DOA, but, I still place blame on Newegg because they don't give incentives like coupons or discounts if you have to wait lengthy periods for your order or keep getting DOA products. It's unacceptable in today's world. My online business, which relies on me using a working computer, has been set back significantly due to the sheer number of poor products I've been receiving from Newegg and I'm quite happy to say that I'll be choosing another retailer to obtain my computer parts in the future.

However because I do not work in the US I do not have a social security number so I cannot open a local bank account. Never a problem with my credit card though except with Newegg. I ordered a computer from them for my Florida home, but they refuse to sell. Phone and chat contact did not help to resolve the issue. I am treated as an alien, so I am upset. I will suggest the EU to give the same treatment to US citizens when they live in Europe for some time.

So I got a printer from Newegg. A few days later found it on Amazon for 120 less. They say they don't always honor price match for all items but for 1 time exception would give me 1/2 the difference back as a credit! Now I have to lug a 40+ found printer back down my 3 story walk up and bring it to UPS, return it, and buy another one from Amazon. It's a huge hassle. I will not be ordering from Newegg again and stick to tried and true Amazon.

I ordered an UPS battery backup from Newegg. The box was delivered to me from FedEx. The package was clearly taped up like it was a used product. The box was also damaged. When I opened the package, the product was not even packaged like a new product. There was no plastic around the product, the power cord was not tied and the AC wall adapter was badly damaged. This product was heavy and should have been double boxed. I contacted Newegg through a text chat. I spent close to two hours trying to get this resolved. Newegg told me they would have to file a claim with the shipper even though they sent me a used product. They told me it would take several days to a month to reach the shipper. All this time, I have to pay for a used, damaged and defective product that does not work.
I ended up having to file a dispute with my Credit Card Company as they gave me no choice. This is really bad business holding a customer hostage while they file a claim with their shipper. The product was not in new condition and was improperly packaged for such a heavy item. In my opinion, Newegg was entirely at fault. Right now, I don't know how this will get resolved or how long it will take. I have done a lot of business with them in the past, but will never do business with them again.

Really what I wanted — BenQ GW2765. A new box, all cables are in (even a VGA and DP cables). No problems at all. I felt need to write this review because this web page is full of bad reviews and I thought it would worth mention that sometimes they do their job in a great way.

I have requested Net terms with Newegg on multiple occasions and have received denial after denial. I have heard excuse after excuse, "You haven't been in business for over 5 years." (Yes I have). "You don't have enough credit or references." (I have many references multiple Net term accounts.) "We don't do the approval, a 3rd party does it for us". My personal favorite: "You need to create a new account, we can't add a Net terms to your existing email address", comically I did create a new account and still got denied. They refuse to respond to my emails requesting status on the Net account, no call backs, no replies. I'm done with Newegg. Amazon seems happy to take my business and they appreciate me as a customer no matter if they are "Too big to fail" or not.

Don't deserve any stars!!! They have brought GREAT mental anguish to my family! I sent them a motherboard and CPU for store credit. They claim they didn't get it, and to file a claim against the USPS which I can't because they say it was delivered perfectly fine. Newegg STEALS parts and then makes customers get their money back by having them file claims against the USPS. MY post office is not allowing this to happen anymore. I have filed a BBB report against Newegg for full credit vs. store credit. I NO longer trust Newegg they are THIEVES!!! I want them reported to local police and I will keep on reporting them to my local news stations in Chicago who do special reports on FRAUD!!!

My experience with Newegg does not even deserve 1 star. If the product you received was not fully functional and needed to be replaced or returned, prepare yourself for a horrible return process and it might or might not resolve your problem. It will take multiple phone calls with multiple customer representatives, and multiple explanations for no immediate solution to the problem. The first call will ask you to call back within a few days, and then another few days, and next thing you know, you don't know when you will get the replacement or refund. This is the first time I buy anything from Newegg and it will be the last time. To everyone who is reading this review, if possible, take your money and spend it somewhere else that actually care about you as a customer.

With a computer that had a shot battery, internal screen burn, pictures were blurry and faded and it was a smaller screen that what I had that they were replacing for the same amount. Now they don't want to reimburse me and take this one back. Even if this SECOND laptop had worked fine and battery was fine, it was a smaller screen, no camera and lesser quality than the one they were claiming they'd replace. Replace means [same as] NOT better than nothing for the same price.

Let's keep this short and simple. 15 years ago growing up in school, Newegg was all that and then some. This is where you go to get your pc parts. No questions asked. 15 years later, now... I recommend never buying a single thing from them. There's just no point. They do everything wrong. The customer service is the worst I've ever seen. Their prices are the same as everyone else's. The return system is slowing and more frustrating than anyone else's. Their website servers are just bad compared to other websites and their servers are just slow. Their processing speeds are the worst in the whole planet along with their actual shipping speed. Takes me weeks to get something 1 state away, where even any other website would get it to me in 1-2 days like actually how it takes. I've never had one on time shipment. Price changes everyday. I see something I want, bookmark it, 2 hours later it another 10 more dollars.
This happens all the time. Overall Newegg is poorly ran, couldn't be ran any more poor. There isn't any strong points about this company anymore. It's crumbling into dust, and it's up to you and me to not shop here and watch it as it does such. Your money is so much safer and better spent elsewhere 100% of the time. Even if you don't totally agree with my experiences, just think, is Newegg.com something you brag about? Or talk about being awesome? Very most likely not ever. Years ago, it was something. It was cool and talked about, recommended to others etc. I don't hear a soul mention Newegg 2016 because it's just like any other big corporation in 2016. Just total garbage. Everything's about making more pennies and dollars, and that only equals out to us getting the worst possible service imaginable. That's just how it works.

About four weeks ago I ordered a AMD FX-8350 Black Edition Vishera 8-Core Processor. I received it, opened it, examined it, and put it in my PC. It started overheating very badly. It wouldn't go over a certain temp though so I monitored it closely. Eventually the temps started to rise higher and higher until it got to dangerously high temp of 83C and my PC shut off to prevent damage to it. I had had my Motherboard for a while and wasn't sure if that any anything to do with it so I went a bought a much nicer one. Then second I hooked that processor up to the new MB it started overheating.
I won't lie... I thought their thermal paste was crap so I did VERY careful remove it with a thermal paste remover and applied my own that of Arctic Silver 5. That still didn't solve the issue. I have many friends that build, work in IT, and do specialized Computer work. I asked 4 of them and after looking at the issue they all said the same exact thing... The processor is FAULTY. I posted on a PC hardware site about the issue and they said the same thing. Look... This processor was overheating to 83-85C in less than 5 minutes. That is the most dangerous processor I've ever seen and I am lucky my PC components didn't suffer any damage.
I called Newegg and spoke to a guy name Angel. I told Angel that I had tested it out on two different motherboards and explained the rest about it overheating. (Newegg has a "NO REFUND" on processors only a replacement) He offered to send me a new one and I told him no. I told him I didn't want the same processor and even if I couldn't get a refund I did NOT want it back and asked what he could do for me. He walked away for a few seconds came back and told me that they could give me store credit for the item and all I had to do was ship it back and would get the credit once it was received and all the parts were in there.
So that's what I did. I shipped the item back, got the e-mail that they got it and it was being sent to inspection. Couple days later I get an e-mail telling me they are sending the processor back and I don't qualify for store credit for the following reasons: Item had been installed into a PC, Item had thermal paste on it, Item had bent pins.
Let me explain. There is NO way possible to know if a PC part is faulty or not until you hook it up. It's impossible. NOT to mention I had told Angel on the phone that I had installed it into not one, but TWO motherboards. Now, for the thermal paste... Yes I do admit I did replace their thermal paste thinking it was bad but I had still tried it out first. All they said was "It had thermal paste on it" First off ALL processors come with thermal paste. Of course there is thermal paste on it! You can't use a processor without it! Third, the bent pins. I am by no means stupid and have done work with computers a few times now. I checked for bent pins when I hooked it up, I checked for bent pins when I took it out. I checked for bent pins BEFORE I shipped it back to them. I used a magnifying glass and found 0 bent pins! So unless it got crazy while shipping there is no reason for it to have had bent pins.
I am extremely unhappy about this whole situation. Not to mention I told this Angel guy what was up on the phone before I shipped it because I didn't want all of this to even happen. I have told several others my story and a great deal of them said "It's messed up" and some said they will back me up by not shopping there either.
