I was impressed with how the company went the extra mile to resolve this issue. Though I am disappointed that their employees don't have the proper training to handle these type of issues. I will continue to use Newegg now did I see they really do care about their customers.

Purchased a computer from Newegg, they offered a gift certificate with it, that expired relatively quick. I Asked them to renew the expired gift certificate. Their reply was after 7 calls, "it's in process and it will take one to two days". Needless to say, it was never renewed. They are liars and cheaters. Stay far away from this company. I will never ever buy anything from them again.

Configured a build, bought the build and received the parts (albeit a little longer than expected). Built my system that I needed ASAP as I have built countless other systems over the years and found a DOA system. Nothing is more frustrating when you NEED a system for your livelihood and it be DOA. So I begrudgingly return the motherboard for a RMA hoping that it would be a quick turn around. NOPE! Couldn't have been more wrong! I sent out the board on a Monday and took over a week to get a response saying it was received then later was told it was converted to a refund due to "We no longer carry the product".
What is most frustrating is I can add the EXACT part to my cart that says "Sold and Shipped by: Newegg" right above "ADD TO CART". So either I'm being lied to or they don't want to send me a new board. That was the 11th, refund doesn't come through 'til the 18th, so literally the MAXIMUM amount of time 'til I can afford to purchase another board. By the time I get my refund, purchase another board and have it shipped my RMA period will be over. GOOD JOB NEWEGG! You have successfully hurt my livelihood AND screwed me out of being able to build a PC with the ability to replace parts easily. I have been a customer for over 15 years and this is the LAST purchase I will ever make through you EVER AGAIN! BUYER BEWARE!!! They are NOT the Newegg of old...

My wife and I purchased a PC on 10/31/19. We were told we would receive the package by the 5th of November, we didnt! We then called and emailed several times trying to get more info. The seller emails us they won't have the parts until 11/7/19. We immediately asked for a refund from Newegg. In the same hour, Newegg responded with the package was already sent. What? How you as. They slapped together a pc and put a smaller hard drive in it (not what we ordered), we received on 11/9/19. Newegg DID NOT put are money into a escrow account to make sure the customer's money is safe or protected in any way. My wife and I had to wait until 11/11/19 to receive a shipping label to send it back to the company that stole from us in the beginning, in hope that they will return our money in full. Please be safe you are not protected by Newegg in any way. Please do not go through, what we had to. Thank you for reading and have a blessed day.

I just got word that Newegg has accepted my damaged parts without issue (and I wrote a separate review to be sure my negative is properly accounted for). Newegg honored their obligations as a vendor as well as anyone so... as quick as I was to express displeasure in all fairness I had to be just as quick to publicly say I was wrong.

I recently bought a i9-9900k CPU and a Taichi Ultimate Mobo combo and all arrived, very cold but on time. Due to the cold I opened the boxes and left all to warm up to room temp overnight. The next morning while prepping to install I lifted the CPU cover and see many of the CPU pins are ruined. (pics attached) I took pics of the process (since this, after 30+ years of working on PC’s I retired and for once I get to build all new from end to end).
I immediately went to the Newegg website and on to Customer Service to request an RMA. Now the problems really start: First thing after starting the RMA is I type out a detailed report of the issue (you can’t attach images to the report) which doesn’t seem to matter as this seems to be an exercise in futility because my concern of why they want the CPU back (read the return instructions for combos). Anyways, I get an RMA about an hour later and still no contact as requested about returning the PU too so, I put all back into the original boxes and send back.
A couple of hours later I get shipping notice from UPS but still nothing from the vendor so I initiate a contact. Here’s the printout, at first I declined the transcript but as the service contact “progressed” I asked for a copy and was told I could still get one afterwards. You can’t, luckily I managed a screen cap before the CSR logged off and lost the conversation (attached). So, here we are. Everything I bought (about $800.00 worth) is now out of my possession, I have no idea when (shipping ground {no option on menu to change that} or what outcome(s) or option(s) I may have). I can’t complain about getting a damaged part, it happens (my first in a lot of years) but when it does happen how about treating a customer like a customer? I have paid a lot of money for these products and don’t expect to be treated like a beggar when I need assistance. I’ll follow this up with any developments and I hope this poor start recovers soon.

I purchased a new motherboard. The box didn't seem damaged but when I opened everything up the area where the pins connect to the CPU did seem damaged. I contacted the customer support immediately and explained the situation and they said that they would be able to replace the damaged item. I sent it back the next morning after our online chat. 6 days later I get an email saying that they cannot replace the item and that they will be returning the broken item in 3-5 days?
I contacted the customer support service again trying to figure out why. They said that their policy doesn't cover damaged items. Yet I received the item in its state, returned it the day after it was delivered to me? I mentioned that I explained this to the customer service rep the day I received it and they said they could replace it. She recommended I call the manufacturing company instead?!? I feel robbed and I recommend any consumer to stay away from this company, it's a few dollars cheaper but they make their money on sending you broken parts.

Purchased a laptop from Newegg and 6 week later it will not power on. Customer service informed me that there is nothing they can do, and the computer needs to be sent in to the manufacturer for repairs. Totally unsatisfactory.

Additionally, due to the item being past the standard 30 day return time frame the item is not eligible for a return. Newegg listed the items that I requested as being in stock and deliverable in five days, the price was high but other sites listed this as being out of stock. Their website states that they will not charge the credit card until the items are processed and ready to ship. They do not have one in stock and are trying to get approval from me to send and open box item and pressuring me to decide as this is the only one left, (bull). Now they have charged my credit card and can't get me a refund for 5 days. Had to demand to talk to a supervisor who I am still on hold with, trying to cancel all orders with this company, and will never use again. I recommend that you don't do business with them.

I was in the process of building a new computer as well as a new setup. I spent maybe $3000 or more on their site. Everything was fine until I received my motherboard which was completely defective and even the socket where the cpu fits had deformities obstructing my cpu from fitting flush. It also destroyed my near $400 cpu. Returning both of these products, they did replace my motherboard however not my cpu because they said it was entirely my fault. They left me with a situation where I either have to try and fix the bent pin myself or I have to spend another $400 to buy a new cpu. I’ve called their customer support where I was connected with a supervisor and not only did they say I was being untruthful about the whole situation but they also were being lazy with trying to understand the whole situation. Go do business somewhere else. They don’t value their customers here as they surely won’t get my money anymore.

I made a purchase through NewEgg from a third party vendor. The product was received and returned within 30 days. The third party vendor kept using stall tactics to not return payment. NewEgg perpetuated the third parties stall by continuing to mandate they have more time. After months of back and forth I filled a claim with my credit card. Now NewEgg had suspended my account after I followed their process in frustration for months not their mandated seven to ten business days.

The laptop arrived quickly and in good physical condition. It worked fine with the AC power supply, but would not with the battery only. It seemed either to think the battery was installed and at 100%, or didn't recognize that a battery was installed at all. I contacted the seller ("Savings Depot") by email and never received a response back. I left a 2-star review of the product similar to this one, but unfortunately this particular vendor apparently had no more of this particular laptop, so the review went into the void - kinda nullifies the usefulness of the rating process. Because of this systemic weakness in Newegg's rating process (and the seeming general lack of customer service - look how many issues are, uh, "resolved" on this website...), I'll be avoiding Newegg for future purchases.

This place, in my opinion has gone to hell. Order from Amazon folks! I placed an order for a new business laptop, the order was processed, confirmed, I was sent an invoice, my credit card was charged and I got a notification of shipment including the day, time, and place the order was shipped from. Then, the next day, I get a notice saying that in fact the item was not in stock and that my order was "RMA'd". When I looked at the RMA, the reason given was that I no longer needed it; which was false --- I had nothing to do with this.
I complained to NewEgg and they didn't seem to give a damn about this and from what I gathered consider it totally normal. They processed the "RMA" and I got another invoice showing a credit; the web-site shows the credit and says the refund is complete. Then, after all of this, I look in my bank account and I was charged for the order --- note this was AFTER the RMA was supposedly processed. Again, I get hold of NewEgg and they have no idea why this was; that's just the way things work I guess.
So, I am out $800, for which I now need to dispute the credit card transaction, NewEgg doesn't know why they took $800 out of my bank account and I have no laptop. Not surprisingly, the laptop I ordered turned up listed for almost $200 more than the price I had ordered it at. So we call this a bait and switch me-thinks. I think they are crooks and i say this after being a customer for many years. Beware.

My computer motherboard recently died so I decided to get a new on Newegg.com. I have used this website several times for the last 15 years and I felt they were reliable so instead of getting it cheaper somewhere else I decided to use them. I went ahead and ordered the product on my phone, since my computer is not working, using my account. After I placed the order I realized I had not updated the shipping or billing address. Not only did the payment still go through, but the product was being shipped to an address I had not lived at in 7 years.
I was aware that this was my fault but figured it should be a rather easy issue to resolve. I called Newegg.com customer service and after speaking to someone was told that they could not change the shipping address, though I had just placed the order moments ago, and that all they could do for me was cancel the order and the money would be returned. That was ok with me and I decided to wait for the refund.
A couple days later, I noticed several emails informing me that the cancelation had not been successful. I immediately called customer service again, this time to be informed that they could no longer cancel the order, they did not know why it was not able to be canceled, and that all they could do was call UPS and have it shipped back to them. They also said once they received the package back, they would refund the money. I waited several weeks and had not received the refund.
I called again today to be told the package was delivered, that they could not give me a refund, and that I would have to call my bank to have the money returned to me. I called them once more because I was so frustrated and disappointed with their service that I will never use their website again and they were not able to do anything but tell me there is nothing they can do. I never write online reviews but this whole debacle was so frustrating to me I had to write something in hope they would see it and at the very least do something about their system.

I purchased a new Asus laptop for grad school. It had issues from day 1. I contacted Newegg support who informed me that I cannot return the laptop because I don't have the original box. I had to send it into Asus for repair - which they replaced my motherboard. Have it back for a couple of weeks and now I can't get it to turn on. Call Asus and have to send it back in. Contact NewEgg and can't return because it's out of 30-days. Plus I don't have the original box, plus I sent it in for repairs so that would void my ability to return it anyway (wow super helpful add).
Basically no one can help - except "great news", I can send it in for repairs through Asus. In the past 2 months, I've barely been able to use my brand new laptop for grad school. I am extremely disappointed in NewEgg/Asus policies and will only buy Macs from now on. While I know this is an exception (as my Software Architect boyfriend loves Asus and NewEgg), I can't believe this is a real situation where a company will not refund a completely defective computer. I am stuck with an unreliable brand new laptop. Moral of the story - keep that stupid box. Real moral of the story (my version) - pay the 2 times cost to buy another mac.

Purchased from Newegg for the very first time for my work with a non-profit. We needed a simple Chromebook to run Zoom meetings on. Received the computer and didn't get a chance to look at it for a month or so. When we did, we discovered that every single key on the keyboard types multiple characters. Called them and they said I was over the 30 day warranty although they capitulated when I said I would negatively review them. So I'm grateful that they took the return.
But what I learned in the process is that their "vendors" send them machines in a closed box and NewEgg is not "allowed" to open it or verify the functionality of the product. From there they ship out to their customers. They are basically a middle-person, pass through company only. Which further means they have no idea about the validity of the claims of their vendors and pass on nonfunctional machines as well as functional. Based on my experience I would never work with them again. I'll go through TechSoup next time. They verify the hardware.

I bought a HP refurbished desktop from Newegg. After a couple of months it started shutting down randomly. Now after 4 months it's shutting down all the time. I called Newegg customer service and they said that the computer was past their 90 day warranty. They would not help me with the problem or do anything other than tell me my only recourse is to purchase another computer. What?? Seems that a computer should last longer than 4 months. Also since this is refurbished it probably had similar problems before and they sold this to me without resolving the problems it had before. I will never buy anything from Newegg again.

I'm an IT Director. Purchased an Intel mobo and it was DOA. Would not post. Wouldn't even power up usb devices. Returned for RMA and they said it had bent pins. Talked with Customer service via chat and she said board was used because they found thermal paste on it and rejected my RMA. Not only that but during chat the girl completely cut off conversation because she said it had been over 5 minutes for a response. It had maybe been two minutes. It showed I was typing just like it shows me she was typing. Total crap. Searched and motherboard RMA's and it seems like motherboard bent or broken pins is Newegg's go to rejection line. I have seen reviewers write that was their rejection for items that weren't even motherboards.
My mom is disputing a charge with them as well for the free Amd xbox game pass because they charged her $30 for it when it comes free with AMD processors. Totally shady company now. Will be moving my business personally and my other much larger PC based business purchases to another vendor. Totally pathetic. I wish I would of know of all this before. Seems like everything is great if you receive working product, but if not you are screwed and lied to and they manipulate the situation in order to not be accountable. At least glad I found out now. Those new server purchases can go some place else from now on.

Received an order #** of several items that were so badly packed. Everything inside had some form of damage. On top of this the motherboard that was sent was used. I was astonished at the lack of care involved in throwing so much money into a large box without packing. But to send a used board? Wow! customer service seemed responsive and Richard offered to fast track a replacement board. We were told we had 30 days to return the used board. Waited for new board so could use that box for return of used board. Nothing, called customer support Mon. 10/7 to ask about return and was told something different. Must now first return used board to receive product that was purchased. Marcus said to simply return in product box as we had no return box. You folks really dropped the ball on this. Disappointed.

I ordered a laptop in early September 2019, my bill came to $780, during the checkout process I noticed promotional American Express offer that if one opens a new Amex credit card the purchase would be eligible for $50 rebate. I thought why not, so I went through the process of opening American Express card, paid for the computer and received the computer on time, that part was all as fine and as expected.
A surprise came when I received my first AND IT WILL BE THE LAST American Express bill which was $980, when I saw it my jaw dropped. I called American Express just to find out that indeed they gave me $50 rebate, however there is $250 annual membership fee because I was qualified and received a "privileged Amex Gold card", of course the lady on the phone mentioned that this was disclosed during the online signing process.
I would imagine that it was, but since I didn't expect or think that there would be any membership fee. I didn't pay much attention during online application process and just clicked through it, I have plenty of other credit cards (Visa, Master, Discover, store cards) none with membership fees. Needless to say my computer purchase instead of $730 after the rebate cost me $980. With no choice but paying this bill since I don't want my credit to be negatively affected. Although my computer purchase was fine this experience left me with a very bad taste, since this lousy card was offered through Newegg.

I ordered a part through them. Had to call the next day to verify info. That's fine. Got an email the next day saying the order has been canceled. Call again, everything is fine except my account has been suspended for some reason. They don't know, they cant fix it either. I am told I have to make a new email and a new account with them to re order. Not only is this super inconvenient, when I ordered my part I waited for it to go on sale, and it did, so I ordered it. However that sale ended the day I ordered it. But now because I have to make a whole new account I am told that I will no longer revive the sale/promotion I did on the day I ordered.
It's been 2 days since I ordered it, I ordered it through Express shipping since I needed in quick. Not happy at all, they suspend my account for no reason, on my very first order there, and then tell me I need to make a new account and I won't get the same sale/promotion that made me want to buy their product in the first place. Terrible, first and last time I'll be going through them.

I've heard of Newegg as being a place to get discounted pc parts. I found a graphics card that only Newegg was selling at the price point I wanted. As a bonus it came with the new Call of Duty game for FREE. When I woke up the next day I had received an email that said my payment was declined and the item was on hold. Then I decided to look at my bank statement. My bank statement showed a charge from Newegg (my first purchase from them ever) for the price of the "Free" Call of Duty video game. Finding it ironic that my payment was declined for the graphics card but not the "free" game I didn't really want in the first place, I decided to get in contact with their customer support.
Their choices were IM, text, and "Let us call you." I was not very optimistic with how timely the "let us call you" option would be, so I decided to IM them. I explained to their agent what was going on. They then asked for my order number. I copied and pasted it to the chat, in which they responded with "that isn't the order number." I told them that is the number from the email they sent me. They replied saying that the order number I gave them was from October of 2018. Well... I don't know what to tell you, that is the order number I got from my purchase yesterday (September 2019). They then looked up my order via my email address. They sent another order confirmation to me. Tried to tell me that if I looked, I should see a red -$59.99 deduction on the price of the card.
I said I do not see any deduction on the card but at the bottom after the video game there is a credit. They told me no, that it was on the graphics card. I replied with, "I'm going to need someone to call me." They then set up a "let us call you appointment." After waiting over an hour, I put in another call request unsure if the request actually got submitted. Then I set up another IM to speak to another agent. They entered the chat spouting off information from notes put in my file from the other agent instead of saying hi or asking me what I wanted to chat about. They didn't tell me anything new and I wanted to ask more detailed questions specifically geared towards resolving the issue myself online.
Instead, what happened was they told me they set up another agent to give me a call and then just left the chat... I finally got a call from them outside the window they said they would call me. I could barely hear the guy. Is their customer service college kids on burner cell phones? Anyways, he told me to go ahead and put my payment in for the graphics card. So I went online and submitted the payment again, which said it was for the full graphics card price. I checked my bank account and the payment went through for the full graphics card price with the game subtracted off. Very confusing but it finally is taken care of.
Now I just have to wait for the game redemption code to be sent to my email, which the guy I spoke with on the phone said they have been having problems with. I will keep my fingers crossed that I won't need to contact customer service again. I can't see myself purchasing anything from Newegg ever again. I don't know that the free game, which I won't play much anyways, was worth the hassle. I will be getting the rest of my pc parts elsewhere.

My company has used Newegg for years. Recently I had to return 2 same motherboards because they came DOA. The 1st after lies about the serial number not being right etc they sent a replacement. I got over it since we order from them almost weekly. I ordered the same motherboard. It again was DOA and when returned they rejected the RMA saying the pins were bent. This is bull, they do anything to get out of standing behind their product. Supervisor Elyse didn't want to hear that we did NOT bend the pins and all the business we have given Newegg. She was like a robot saying over and over the bent pins nullifies the warranty. She should not be in a position of Customer Service. I will never use them again and I suggest you do not either. Thank God for Amazon Prime. A company that fully stands behind their products. Therese

I placed an order for a Vizio tv power supply and then cancelled the order within hours. Newegg then overnighted the tv board and debited my bank account. They then said they would setup a return but never responded again. I’m still waiting to return the unopened tv board and get my money refunded.

Newegg is not the best pricing in the business anymore. They use to do pretty good, but they are not competitive anymore and, the price match thing is not valid because they make every excuse they can to get out of it. I had a motherboard that was bought on their eBay site because I was not able to buy it on Newegg's regular site after waiting for an hour and them having trouble with the site. I purchased this on their eBay site and paid 22.00 more than I was suppose to. It was bought on a Friday so I had to wait until Monday to discuss this with Newegg. And after talking to three people about this, It was finally blamed on eBay who don't have anything to do with the purchase after it has been sold, per conversation with eBay, unfortunately all the surveying that Newegg is doing is like a lot of these companies that want to appear to be concerned about customers, just blowing smoke. I placed an order for 3 computer parts on a Wednesday, and purchased their "2-Day Shipping" method (assuming I would receive the items by Friday, because that's what 2-Day shipping means with all other companies I've dealt with). Well, I received 1 of the 3 items on Friday. The other 2 are on track for Monday. Spoke with Newegg Customer Service for clarification on 2-Day shipping and they told me I was wrong for thinking I would receive the items by Friday. They said I was lucky for receiving 1 of the items "early," and that "2-Day Shipping" actually means 2 business days AFTER the first shipping day. How is that not 3-Day Shipping? So, if your order ships on Thursday, like mine (even though it was purchased and processed on Wednesday), then the "2-Day Shipping" doesn't actually start till Friday... Very deceitful company. Will not be doing business here again.

Ordered a new processor from Newegg, item was dead on arrival. Attempted return service. Return rejected because "motherboard" was damaged. There was no motherboard, ordered, returned, or otherwise. Item purchased was a brand new Ryzen processor. Item was returned in original packaging as it failed POST out of the box. See below for content of rejection letter Newegg provided. "Unfortunately, the below item(s) was physically damaged beyond the applicable Newegg.com warranty coverage as indicated in our Standard Warranty Policy. The motherboard was received with apparent end-user caused physical damage to the CPU socket contact pins. Items received with physical damage cannot be processed by Newegg and void our return policy. You will need to contact the product manufacturer for direct support."
Verification for this CPU was performed on known good components, the rest of the computer was functional before replacing the processor and remains functional afterwards as I write this review. Once again for clarity, the item was a processor, there was no motherboard ordered. Furthermore I have never ordered a motherboard from Newegg, following this experience I would advise others to do the same. Any computer component supplier that is unable to recognize a motherboard compared to a processor should be avoided.

Trying to order GPU. I ordered it, but suddenly my account has been blocked and order has been canceled. I wrote them and asked what the hell. They said I got something wrong in my billing address but they unblocked me but order has been canceled and all the GPU was out of stock for a month. So I had no time and ordered the another one cause it was in stock. Yeah, already they delivered it to me but cause I will fly away soon to my country I wanna check is it good or not. So I went to MSI website to check the Serial number. And what do you think? It was wrong. I asked them (Newegg), "What the heck is that?" They said they don't know but if I want to make a return they will deduct 15% of the price of gpu (80$). Thanks a lot. Worst shop ever.

WE ordered a pool August 5. Nearly 3 weeks later and guess what, no pool! The pool we ordered was purchased at Newegg.com but fulfilled by a 3rd party seller called VMExpress - what a horrible trash company! Somehow an old address got attached to the order, after 2 weeks of trying to resolve the issue, I gave up and it cost me an addition $50 to change the shipping address. Then this shipping company finally sets up a ship date & time with me.
We needed someone to be home to sign for the package, so lined up someone to be take time out of their day to do so, and then received a message with multiple excuses about how their driver called in sick and they only make deliveries on certain days and the day we were scheduled for was not one of them. Are you kidding me? We are completely fed up and have opened a PayPal dispute. We want our full refund back and will NEVER, EVER do business with this company or their 3rd party seller. AWFUL experience!!!

A little while back I ordered several parts for a gaming pc and all the parts I ordered came on time and in perfect condition. At one point I ordered a RX 570 and it came with a free gift that was 2 games and I noticed that in the order they had charged me 130 dollars for it. So I contacted Newegg and told them and they said they charged me for it and deducted the price from the graphics card. Overall if you're going to order from an online store either here or Amazon is your best bet.

I ordered a PC case from Newegg, and one of the tempered glass panels was completely shattered when I opened the shipping container. To get it replaced I need to print out a shipping label, take the heavy box to a shipping center, ship the damaged case back to Newegg, wait for it to arrive, wait for them to "process" for 3-5 days, then wait for them to send me a replacement. After spending thousands of dollars on their website, they can't just send me a replacement based on the photos I took of the damaged product. I have to wait 2 weeks or more for the replacement to arrive. In the meantime I have exposed computer parts waiting for a case. When I explained how inconvenient this was and how it was completely their fault, they offered me a laughable $8 coupon for my next purchase. Terrible, terrible experience with customer support and I will think twice before purchasing from Newegg again.

I bought 6 GPU's at a great price, it took me a few months to put all of them to work and found that one was defective. Newegg gave me a number to contact and that took a month to get someone on the phone that could only tell me "There is nothing I can do." Then they told me to call Newegg back. Now Newegg is saying "There is nothing I can do." Is there anything I can do? Seems like the policy is quite clear, after 30 days, you are on your own.

I bought a 17.3 HP laptop 42 days ago. It blew. No drive. No boot. Just errors. I called Newegg and they said nothing could be done as the warranty was over after 30 days. I found a local repair spot and he took out the ssd card and it was faulty. I call HP from his shop and they inform Newegg was wrong and of course it is under warranty for 1 year. It was too late as I had it replaced for 100.00. This was a pretty bad customer service experience for sure. They didn't know what they were talking about. I do not recommend anyone who can't insure something this expensive for more than 30 days or know the policy specs.

I purchased a refurbished high end dual notebook. The computer broke less than 1 month in (the computer was treated perfectly and it just won't turn on). I touched in on the Monday after the 30 days were up and they told me I should have connected with them on the Thursday and not the Monday and my time was up. I couldn't return the computer I spent over $1145 on.

I have been seeking an external USB player for my new PC (a faulty one bought from Newegg, also, which they will also not make good on). After much searching I found a good model advertised on the Newegg Business Site for a very low price. I assumed it was a "loss leader" to earn my business as it was a new product and very low priced compared with other dealers. It crossed my mind it could be an error, but the sale went thru slowly but with lots of confirmations. A red flag was that the "free shipping" was thru USPS Media Mail when this was clearly not media. After two plus weeks the poorly wrapped package arrives --two sheets of cardboard taped together--and turns out to be of all things an HDMI cable. Not a Blu-ray player or anything like one, just a useless, cheap cable.
This led to an exchange of emails of course, with many mistakes on their part, then promises of a Blu-ray player to come if I send back the cable at my own expense, then they would pay the S&H on the cable, then I could keep it, and eventually they said they wouldn't give me the player and would just refund my payment and I'd be stuck with the useless cable.
Newegg took my money but refused to make good on advertised price and send the item. They never admitted to a pricing error, but have since listed the item as "unavailable" then removed its item number, and relabeled it with a quintupled price. They never explained why they won't sell me one at the advertised price. The refund did show up (I had to fight to get a refund on the warranty) but they lacked the honor to stick to their advertised price, and were lying, manipulating and leading me on right up to the end.

I paid for PC memory on Newegg. I was never shipped the item so I contacted customer support. They told me I would have to wait 7-10 business days for them to figure out where they messed up. First, there is nothing on the returns page stating they make people wait this long. Second, there are no terms you agree to when purchasing an item that states you have to wait this long for them to correct their mistakes.
I asked for a refund since they never shipped the item, they refused. I asked to just be shipped the item again, they refused. I asked to speak with a supervisor, they refused. What even is the point of having customer service if they don't solve any issues? You have my money, and my item. Send me back one of them. It really isn't that hard of a concept. What you are doing is fraud. Newegg, being unhelpful as they were, forced me to file a charge-back with Paypal, and file a complaint with the FTC.

I purchased a refurbished Arris SURFboard SB6190 Modem from NewEgg. I received it 8 days later, on a Friday. I was away until Monday. I installed the modem and it worked well for 3 days. I went on vacation and when I returned it had stopped working. I had the service provider troubleshoot it for the next couple of days and they had to send out a technician. The Arris SURFboard SB6190 Modem was bad. NewEgg would not accept a return because it was a "a couple of days out of warranty and I did not have the box it came in". Good money down the toilet!!!

I paid over $100 for next day shipping on an MSI laptop ($1200+) and also paid for the rush processing. The rush processing took 2 full days and I didn't receive my laptop until 1 week after it shipped. 1 week after finally receiving the laptop the thing dies. I call Newegg to get a refund. They flat out refuse. To some what credit them they did refund the shipping but fully refused to refund the full purchase price of the laptop and told me the manufacturer (MSI) would have to issue a refund. I call MSI. They refuse refund and tell me I have to send it in. I send it in and they say the HDD died so they replace it. It takes them a FULL MONTH to replace it. Not only that but when I get it back the HDD DIES AGAIN that same night and two keys on the keyboard become faulty.
I send it in again they say the mobo, HDD and keyboard need to be replaced. Another MONTH rolls by no word on WhatsApp. I call them and they say they are waiting on a HDD to be shipped to them as they don't keep them on hand (wtf?). I finally get it back a MONTH AND HALF later and guess what... The screen has multiple groups of dead pixels and a brown discoloration inside the LCD that moves when you tilt the the thing. Also the HDD DIES AGAIN.
At this point i have realized this laptop will never be at full brand new spec which is what I paid over $1200 for. I have to bite the bullet and buy my own HDD and install it. But guess what? Since the HDD is dead I also have to purchase a new copy of Windows because MSI nor NEWEGG will provide me with a copy for a faulty product that they sold to me. So I'm now out about $1500 and countless gigs of very important lost data not mention lost time and productivity. Newegg used to be the best on the web for PCs, parts, and accessories. As soon as they sold out to China they went downhill FAST. They are now riddled with shady vendors and VERY poor customer service. Another thing to note: Avoid MSI products like the black plague.

March 1st I ordered a refurbished computer. March 7th I received a badly retaped box with all my components kinda crammed in helter skelter like trash. The keyboard that came with was warped and bent with the corner nearly snapped off. The lettering was worn away on several keys and there was FOOD IN BETWEEN THE KEYS. All the screws were missing as well as the mouse that it was supposed to come with. The sound card never worked.
I immediately called into customer service. Couldn't get anyone to speak English because I'm hard of hearing, asked for a callback, didn't receive one after a few days so I called again... And again. And again. And again. Finally I'm told yesterday - "You're outside of warranty. We can't help you" and am hung up on. I message my mobo manufacturer on Twitter and suddenly Newegg is in my business again telling me to PM them for help... So I do. I get two automated replies and zero response back. This was my first computer ever. I've been homeless and saved up for over a year and finally got back on my feet only for the world to really show me what I was worth again. This was my birthday present to myself and I've cried more than I've actually used this.

Bad Egg and Bit Shop USA! I ordered an item from Walmart.com that these guys fulfilled on behalf of Walmart. The Zink Printer is advertised as being able to print pictures for photo booths and labels. After receiving the printer in timely fashion, I noted that there was only 1/2 paper that came with it. Upon researching the 2" paper I needed for printing from my photo booth, is not even available anywhere. So obviously I do not need the item, and want to send it back. They are trying to charge me shipping and 20% restocking fee, when it is truly them and Walmart that falsely advertise this item as being able to print photos, when indeed it cannot without the correct paper! Horrible companies praying on innocent consumers!!!!

Long Story Short, Ordered a Switch. Was bad. Was given an RMA and shipping label. Sent it back. 2 Weeks Later the USPS tried to charge me to deliver same switch back. Checked Tracking History and found that delivery was refused and return to sender. 2 days later email stating that they still have not received the item back and copied the correct tracking number. I replied, "You refused delivery, not my problem, refund me!" Still no refund!

Updated on 07/02/2019: See previous review under my name for backstory. Now I've been contacted TWICE on this site, despite having given them my telephone number, and yet they seem to be unable to do ANYTHING other than run the clock out on when I can return this useless computer. "Which of the power cords will fit your computer?" Ummm - look at your records on what I bought, and try sending the matching cord, since that's how I would have to look it up. "I can't just SEND one to you." Already challenged purchase through credit card. Credit card response was in less than 24 hours.
Original Review: Ordered a Chromebook; received it 5 business days later. It wouldn't charge, so I called the (Acer) helpline, who decided it was the power cord and they would send another. A week later after no word, I called Newegg, who could care less ("Send back the computer, after we receive it and process the return, we will send you a replacement." So what if it will be a month since you ordered it before you get a maybe working computer!) So I called Acer back, yup, it was ordered on the 21st, it was shipped on the 25th, and you should get it on the 1st. That might fix the problem -- or not. In this day and age, I could have had a computer BUILT for me in less time than it took to go through the hassles of dealing with both of these companies. Do yourself a favor, and stay away from both of these companies.

I paid $15.99 for a Phone holder / charger. It will not fit in my Corvette. I was going to return it but 1) The e mail I got regarding sending it back said that I paid $13.59 plus the dreaded "restocking" fee of $2.40 which is a big con. 2) So I'd pay $5 to send it back + $2.40 "restocking" fee and I'd be out $7.50 so I'd get back $6.09 based on your ridiculous $13.59 price that you claimed I paid which I didn't!! So I'd end up with a $6.09 refund or maybe less!! 3) Another scam. I've dealt with your company before with no problems but after this I will NOT order anything else or recommend you. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY EVER!!! SAVE YOUR MONEY.

Thought I would give Newegg a try by purchasing a small USB switch. The affiliate company that sent the product was Corn Electronics. In summary, I was sent the incorrect product. I contacted Newegg to get a corrected replacement. Again, I was sent the second incorrect part. All the time I am being contacted by Corn requesting pictures of the items and the shipping boxes. At this point the experiment was over and I just wanted a full refund. Then Newegg charges me a restocking fee. Two online chats, two Phone calls, and two emails later I still have not been refunded the restocking fee. This process has almost taken a month so far. Their customer service has offered many promises and platitudes, without performance. You can expect the same. A terrible company that has completely lost control of its process. Save the headache and purchase from the big "A".

I ordered a Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Carbon on Wednesday for a friend which had a flight on Sunday. The Newegg estimated delivery is on Friday when I clicked on the 2 day shipping via UPS for 78 USD. Even then, I checked on the website that the processing time will take 1-3 days which is not included in the delivery estimate. I will take my chances on a 1 day processing time and the fact UPS can deliver on Saturday. I can only guess that since I put the zip code before getting the shipping estimate, Newegg was brave enough to say delivered on Friday by having information on where the product is being shipped from.
Apparently after the order process was finished by Thursday, the tracking number shows that my product will come on Monday. Instead of being shipped anywhere close to California, it is being shipped from Maryland. It might be either Newegg or Klick Online’s data management fault of where their products are, but let’s just say there is a missing link in the logistics process which costed me 78 dollars.

Beware when you order from Newegg, especially if you are paying for overnight shipping. The order screen will tell you it ships that day, however buried in their terms they require 1 to 2 business days for "processing". You may not receive your purchase for four to five days, even though you paid for overnight shipping. My desktop as many others came damaged, wires were pulled from the boards during shipping and one wire was cut to short and wasn't even connected. The manufacturer said it would take up to 14 days to get repaired and sent back, and I'm certainly not dealing with the yahoos at Newegg.
The customer service department lies. After complaining about my shipping they said they would have the warehouse use weekend delivery. Of course that didn't happen, they just put you on hold forever while they pretend to be helping. Do yourself a favor and purchase your systems locally. If it's damaged you can easily take it back for another one, buying online will cause huge delays and customer service issues. Never again will I deal with Newegg.

This review does not address the quality or condition of the item (I have not received it yet), but the misleading advertising that offered a “One Day Shipping” option for $14.99. Free shipping promises 3-5 days. I ordered the item on Thursday, Jun 6 with ‘one day shipping’. On Friday, Jun 7, I received an email and a tracking number, showing delivery on Monday, Jun 10. When I called, I was informed that in my email confirmation, it stated there is a 1 to 3 day ‘processing’ time before the ‘next day’ shipping; working days, i.e. weekends don’t count.
Conclusion: If you order on day 1, It could process on day 2, 3 or 4, THEN ship on day 3, 4 or 5 (assuming no weekend or holiday in between), with delivery dependent on shipping time. For this “service”, you pay $14.99. Remember, Free Shipping promises 3-5 days. Undoubtedly, this is legally accurate. IMHO, while this may not be False Advertising, it is certainly misleading. Not a happy camper. I feel I’ve been ‘had’!

I ordered a small drink refrigerator for the office. Our receptionist declined the delivery because they would not bring it to our floor in the building. I had to call and have them redeliver. I had the item in my hands two days later. They were super responsive. Will use them again based on this customer service.

Worst experience I've ever had purchasing an item online in my entire life. I purchased a PSN gift card email delivery. Days had gone by and each day I would contact support and they would say the same thing that it is being verified. Then there was a hold on the order and they told me to contact the phone number so I did. The agent told me all was verified on my end. This was in the morning around 11 AM. Then hours later at 10:25 pm I still haven't received my order. Support is bad and delivery time is terrible, shop Amazon instead.

Updated on 11/02/2019: I wrote a review here a while back on how I never received the package that was supposedly delivered to my place. Someone with the name Derek replied that he will get back to me 6 months ago. Still no news from him and waiting for a response....
Original review: Bought a robot vacuum cleaner through Newegg but the package never arrived. The first time I ordered and it didn't arrive I complained to them and they resent the package. Strangely, the second time that they send the package I never saw it either. The strange thing is that we checked the front door within a few hours of the time I received a delivery notice email from them. I complained again that I didn't receive my package but this time it took them a very long time to review my complaint and get back to me.
I had to call them multiple times, and then I was directed to Fedex to talk to them and they again referred me back to Newegg. After a couple of more times of contacting Newegg I received an email saying, “Sorry we have reviewed your request but we cannot do anything about this.” They were not even willing to file a police complaint on my side. The thing is that I have been doing online shopping at my current address for a very long time (on Amazon especially) and I have not had a single theft issue on any of them. The fact that my package was supposedly delivered two times and each time it could not be found only within a few hours tells me there is some bigger issue at play. Seeing the other reviews with similar problems tell me that I should have stayed away from the beginning.

Warning! Do not buy open box items on Newegg! Buy used electronics on eBay instead! Customer service can't tell you what is included with whatever you are purchasing! Reputable eBay sellers will tell you every detail about what you are purchasing! I bought an open box MSI Performance Gaming B350M Gaming Pro motherboard off of Newegg, and on top of not including the motherboard IO shield (motherboard back plate), it also did not include the AM4 heatsink retention bracket, which is supposedly nothing more than an accessory according to Newegg's open box policy! According to them it is a nicety that is not required to use the motherboard! Order # **.

I purchased a set of 3 fans, a vacuum, 3 individual fans and a monitor for my husband. Everything shipped very quickly, but only 1 item was received. NEWEGG requested a return to sender to UPS on May 30th. UPS clearly stated Newegg requested all items in transit to be returned to them. I got NO email at all telling me Newegg was recalling all packages and canceling the orders. NONE. I called customer service around 4:30pm May 31st. The woman instantly replies, "Well you requested the return and cancellations." I reply, "No I did not, where is your proof of this? I have been waiting for FedEx all day. Only to find out just before I called, Newegg recalled the packages." So I get told, "Oh she doesn't know why the orders were cancelled," I get put on hold.
She comes back and says the items were all damaged and UPS chose to return them to Newegg. BUT BUT...the tracking clearly says Newegg requested all parcels returned to them. So I ask when I will be refunded. She responds with, "When we get the items back from the shipper." However Newegg received the items back that morning of May 31st. At 11:16 am of May 31st ** signed for the packages. Yet I was not refunded. Newegg keeps saying, "Oh you have even refunded, wait 5 to 13 days." However PayPal and my credit card both do not see any refund pending or initiated at all. Luckily I paid with my credit card and will be disputing all charges, if not refunded this week. Worst customer service ever. Use Amazon and save yourself the headache.

Hello everyone. So I found a great deal on Newegg for a 55 inch OLED HDTV (OLED55E8PUA) for $1,349.00. I figured I would try Newegg out since I have never purchased anything from here before. The seller on the Newegg site was Gameliquidations. The purchase was made on May 09, 2019 and I was quite happy with making the purchase at the time. This quickly changed.
The first problem that occurred is after a week FedEx says that a shipping label was created and package was supposed to ship from NJ. After several phone calls to Gameliquidations they finally shipped the product from their Florida warehouse since they claim their NJ warehouse is out of stock. I was at least happy that it has shipped and awaiting the product. Few days passed and saw the shipment was at my local delivery carrier. It was supposed to be at my house on the May 23rd but it was day past the delivery date so I decided to called FedEx. First they claimed that they could not find any drivers and it would be delivered in the morning. Morning came and no package. Decided to call them back and they told me to go to the office. I went to the office physically, they said one of the drivers forgot to scan the package and they will call me back once the trucks are back.
Next day and no calls, decided to call again and was told to go back to the FedEx place. Waited for them to search the trucks and still no package. At this point I was fed up with the whole process. My time was completely wasted so decided to ask for a refund. Contacted Newegg about a refund, they emailed the seller. Seller responded that they created a FedEx claim. Ever since I requested a refund a week ago I am still to this day contacting Newegg and begging for my money. I should not have to be the victim where I have to beg Newegg for them to beg the seller. I should of been refunded immediately and then Newegg keeps engaging with the seller to get their money back. Overall I had a horrible experience and would not recommend purchasing from this site.

I joined the Newegg "Premier" program to get the 3 day shipping on a laptop I needed asap. The laptop had an add-on of a free mouse, which was shipped separately with the 3 day shipping as well. Although I selected 3 day shipping on the laptop, Newegg shipped it UPS ground. I contacted customer service and at first was told it was the fault of UPS that it would be delayed, which is not true. I contacted customer service again to let them know Newegg incorrectly shipped it UPS ground instead of 3-day select. They kept ignoring this fact, and tried to blame the carrier and say that delivery dates are just estimates. I was told UPS ground packages arrive in 1-5 business days so it should be suitable for my needs. Excuse me? 4 day shipping and 5 day shipping is NOT suitable for my needs when I paid for their program to get 3 day business shipping.
The customer service rep would not admit it was shipped with the wrong shipping selection. They offered once the package did not arrive on time I could contact them again for a 10 dollar gift card. Why would I want to buy anything from a company whose service reps cannot admit to any mistake made by the company? And guess what, the package didn't arrive. It isn't even scheduled to arrive on the 4th day. I would not buy from this company. Amazon is where to go if you want ACTUAL RELIABLE TRUSTWORTHY shipping as ordered and appropriate customer service.

Long Lead Times and Backwards Customer Service Managers. Ordered a package to come next day air UPS. I placed an order on a Thursday afternoon thinking I'd get the package Friday as that is what the website showed me at checkout. Instead it didn't ship until Friday, because it's hidden in their FAQs that they need 24 hours to pick an order and get it packaged for shipping, and I couldn't get the package on Saturday because I didn't pay for the weekend delivery option. Customer service is helpful and friendly, but the customer service managers and leading this company down a path of losing customers. If you have/use Amazon buy from there. Use Newegg for research and then buy the same items from Amazon at the same price and then get free 2 day and weekend delivery with Prime.

Outrageous Customer Service - Received an refurbished item from your site (Apple iWatch). Contacted Customer Service to let them know if was damaged. The response was "maybe you should learn about refurbished items before you purchase them" So not only is your customer service agent horribly rude but your site is inaccurate and deceiving to the point where I not have to go through jumps and hoops to return an item I had no idea would have physical damage.
For your reference The ONLY thing list under the item for refurbished is "This means the product was tested and repaired as required to meet the standards of the refurbished, which may or may not be the original manufacturer. Any exceptions to the condition of the item outside the manufacturer’s information should be provided in the listing, up to and including warranty details." This states NOTHING about the items being physically damaged. But miraculously your agent had another clause up her sleeve and told me "well we can't list everything on the site, it's too much detail". The customer service agent I chatted with was Kayla, I have screenshots and I will also be reporting this to the BBB. This is unethical and very deceiving.

I bought a Newegg gift card from a reputable seller on eBay for $99, valued at $119. I checked the balance when I received it, and everything was as it should have been. What I needed to buy unfortunately went out of stock. A few weeks later, when I went to purchase my item, the gift card's balance was empty. I immediately contacted Newegg customer service, and a representative named Chelsea was able to use the gift card's info to find the order number and personal information of the thief who somehow stole it.
Her exact words were "it shows this gift card already be redeemed on 3/12 for the order **." Despite finding irrefutable proof that I did not use my gift card myself, they would not give me a store credit, even though they had the contact information of the thief who stole from me. They issued a fraud request, and that's all. I have spent thousands in the past on computer components from Newegg, but for future purchases, I will definitely be spending my money somewhere else.

I purchased a Creader CRP123 and the warranty has expired. I tried to contact the Creader directly to get the unit repaired and the company told me that they could not help me due to the product that I purchased was not allowed to be sold in the USA. So I could not even pay to have the unit repaired. I purchased the unit through a USA company and Newegg just walks away - no responsibility for their vendors selling products that are not supposed to be sold in the USA. I have always liked Newegg but after this, I would not recommend them to anyone. Newegg should stand behind their selected vendors.

I ordered a projector mount on a Thursday from Newegg.com. I needed it urgently since the part I ordered from Amazon was not the right one. The website said next day delivery (Friday) but for a high premium of 50 bucks. I went ahead and did it so I don't have to mess up the installer's schedule. Now today I got an email saying that I will get the shipment on Monday. So I ended up paying 50 dollars for a product to be delivered on Monday since they don't do any work over the weekend. Amazon was spot on with their order fulfillment message for the same product (Tuesday with free shipping). Newegg.com claims was fraudulent and misleading. It does serve me right by not sticking with Amazon. The sad part is I have to now pay to ship the product back too. I am never ever going to shop outside of Amazon even if I have to pay a bit more.

I received some network cameras that were missing brackets. The description clearly states that brackets are included, but when I received the order there were no brackets. I didn't realize this until I started to install the cameras, so when I contacted Newegg they said the cameras were out of the return period, but I could contact the manufacturer in China for a warranty claim. I told the rep this wasn't a warranty claim, it's a claim of not receiving the complete product. I told the rep I didn't buy this from anyone in China, I bought it from Newegg.
I don't think their vendor relations are any of my business. The rep insisted that it was a marketplace seller that sold and shipped the product and I would have to contact them directly. The 2 companies I handle I.T. for have bought thousands of dollars worth of products from Newegg since 2004, but we won't be going back if they can't even work with me on 3 brackets they left off of my order through THEIR vendors or otherwise.

I ordered a ride-on toy for my grandson. I got a shipping notification with a tracking number through FedEx along with a delivery date. As I’m watching for the FedEx guy to deliver my item I get an email from Newegg saying my return has been accepted at the warehouse. I chatted with a rep and explained that I did not cancel my order, nor did I return anything. They charged me, I got the shipping confirmation and I want my item. She told me there was a price mistake and basically I’m not getting my item which is a bunch of bull considering I know people who ordered the exact same item for the exact same price when I ordered mine and they received theirs.
I could understand if they needed to cancel a purchase for some reason but they took my money and confirmed it was on its way, then they made it look like I returned it which I did not. Now they have my money and the toy my grandson was looking forward to getting. Thanks for ruining my day and making me look like a liar to my grandson. Real nice way to run a business. PS I would give negative stars if I could.

Made an order over a month and a half ago, and the $390 purchase was 2 items in 2 boxes that were meant to arrive on the same day, these items were a gift so I expected them soon. Hence why I got $80 fast day shipping... Well that day comes item is late for the party and now they tell me it's coming 2 days later. I call them and ask to at least refund me for my shipping cost because I did not get proper shipping. They offer me $20 and wouldn't give me my full amount for the extra shipping. Fast forward 2 days. Item says delivered on both boxes but there is no item at my house.
Along with that it says signed by some initials that I don't even know. Neither does anyone on my street know these initials. I make a lost package claim through Newegg and their 10 day estimate turned into 25+ days of waiting and contacting them only for them to deny my claim because they said the packages are proved delivered to my address. They basically held my $390 + $80 hostage for 30+ days just to tell me I'm not getting it back. They also refuse to respond to recent emails.

I bought a Shark IF200W IONFlex 2x DuoClean Cordless Ultra Light stick vacuum with 2 batteries & battery packs, online from Newegg.com, from Auckland, New Zealand, on 23 Apr 2019. But it was delivered with only one battery. I have 15 days to sort this from the 27 Apr delivery, according to Newegg. I replied to their Apr 28 email that day, re missing battery. I told them in the email that I won't be powering the battery I've got or trying out the vacuum cleaner until the 2nd battery is on the way. No reply by today, May 2. Put same question re no second battery, with Sales Order#, as General Inquiry etc on Newegg site a couple of hours ago. Buttons were dead. Live Chat was dead. Refreshed. Same absence of ability to use their shonky website.
I'm now waiting for text reply probably 9.5 hrs earliest ie 11.30pm tonight if they reply from California (19 hrs time difference). I expect them to claim I SHOULD have only 1 battery because it's refurbished, or something like that. Never mind the multiple references to & graphics of a 2nd battery in the ad I answered. Never mind the clear reference "2x" in the product name. That's IF they ever answer. No. They owe me a 2nd battery & its battery dock. Full stop. If they won't provide & deliver it, I want my money back. All my money back. But seeing here how many others are being ripped off by Newegg - I WILL hold my breath...

Newegg sold me a computer for 1090$. I paid for all of it, and when I opened the box I saw they sent me the wrong model! When I read the reviews, I saw that many people received the same wrong model! I returned it immediately, after they apologized and promised me a full refund. But after a week they returned only 850$, saying that they charge me 200$ "restocking fee" for their mistake! And the 15$ I paid to return the item? Never saw them again. NEWEGG STOLE 215$ dollars from me! DON'T BUY FROM THEM!

Just made a purchase of a HP Color LaserJet printer from Newegg and it wouldn't even power on. Called and was told it wasn't their problem, it was a "third party seller's" issue and I would have to pay the shipping to send it back, needless to say a 50 lb printer is pretty costly. No customer service. First person I spoke to was exceptionally rude and obnoxious, second, not so much but pretty ignorant of the company's policy. Don't believe the guarantees, etc, the company relies on you not reading all of the return policies prior to your purchase, by then it's all too late, and they ripped you off. Worst kind of cheats, grifters, and swindlers. BEWARE AND GO ELSEWHERE!

I ordered a Denon A/V receiver on Sunday and thus was sent an email confirmation that the item would ship out next day (Monday). I didn’t receive tracking number so on Tuesday I called the seller and after some back and forth conversation about when it would ship they hung up on me. Wednesday I get an email that my order was cancelled because they were out of stock. I go back on Newegg’s site and the same company has the same item listed as “in stock” but for $150 more in price. My business is in the tech industry and I used to get top notch service from Newegg but it seems that need to hold their Sellers to a higher standard.

Ordered three Gilmour hoses pictured on their website on two different orders. On the first order Newegg sent me two Gilmour hoses that were cheaper on their website than the one pictured. Contacted customer service, after some conversation was given a $20 refund (order was $36) and was told to keep the hoses. Order two arrives the same day and was shipped again a different Gilmour hose then was pictured.
Back again calling customer service, "Oh this is a market place vendor. They have a different return policy." "Dude I don't want to return again the wrong hose, I'll take $25 credit (order was $100) and keep it and go to Home Depot perhaps cheaper. I wanted the one pictured on your site." "We will contact the vendor. No, send it back." "You will be responsible for shipping?" Really, here is a credit card chargeback and a PayPal dispute. Do not use Rotten Egg. You can get products cheaper if you shop. At least you know what you should get. JH

We purchased a product from Newegg and paid for 3 day shipping. The product was ready for UPS pick up on March 30th, UPS picked it up April 1st (Monday) and was delivered April 5th. We contacted Newegg's customer service to report this along with some other shipping concerns, they informed us that this product was delivered on time and we there is no reimbursement, they stated, "Things like this happen". I know it's only a few bucks but really, that's your response? So I left a product review on their website explaining this, it was never published. I left feedback on their website, they never responded back. So I am here to share it. The next purchase I made was three days ago on Amazon for a SSD, it arrived here today with no issues. It's sad that what I thought was a top notch company would flat out lie over a few dollars.

Updated on 04/27/2019: Well, my Newegg experience continues to degrade. Purchased a TV via the Newegg store on eBay. I was sent a used model with missing hardware and have had the absolute worst experience with their customer service team on eBay. I was directed by Newegg to close my return to allow a replacement to be processed. I followed the directions, repackaged the used TV, arranged the UPS pickup today and shipped it back to Newegg as instructed. I received an email a few hours later. The RMA was voided. Upon follow up, I received a message from Newegg via eBay that their "vendor" confirmed all of their items are new in box, and was instructed to contact LG for next steps.
UNREAL. Fortunately, I chronicled the unpacking of the used TV and documented the condition of the item I was sent. Now, Newegg has the used TV, not shipped me the item I ordered and has my money. And I was told to pound sand. I would certainly avoid this organization at all costs. I've tried to resolve this amicably and still not sure how I was sent a used TV, but this has been the absolute worst e-commerce experience of my life.
Original Review: Purchased a 55” LG OLED TV (55E8) via Newegg through eBay. Quick shipping and the item was specified as new in box. The item received was a used item with scratches, missing the remote, stand, power cord and manuals including all hardware. Sent Newegg messages via eBay and no response. Fortunately this unit was purchased via Amex and I can easily start the dispute process as I paid for a new item, but received a damaged used product. Buyer beware when purchasing items from this online retailer. Shady business practices and lack of customer service do not bode well in this day and age. I’ve spent the afternoon sharing my experience on social media since Newegg can’t be bothered to try and resolve this.

I sent over 3000 on a new PC. Ordered everything I needed, everything was going good. Stuff was coming in until I got the video card, but it essentially a video card. It was two old motherboards, I called OutletPC. They sent the card. Told them what happen and all they told me was I didn't order it from Newegg but from Amazon. There was no invoice in the box from Amazon or OutletPC. I called Newegg and got help. They set up a return for me. I sent it to them and there it sat for a month. I called asking about it. They sent emails to the return department and nothing, after talking to a manager it seemed it was coming to an end and I would be getting my card, I still don’t trust Newegg or the seller how is from China.

I bought a $800 laptop for my son and after having the laptop for only 6 days it crashed and I wanted to return it. I called Newegg.com and followed their protocol for a proper return and did exactly as they requested. After 9 days I never heard back anything in regards to my return so I decided to call their customer service and find out where my refund is.
After speaking to 2 different people on the phone and being placed on hold for 20 minutes I was told that it will take longer for a refund and for me to wait another week. All of a sudden the same day I got an email that the laptop that they received was damaged and they will not refund me any money and they will be sending back the laptop to me! There are other reputable online retailers for electronics that I have bought from before and never had such a bad experience. I do not recommend Newegg.come to anyone for any purchases. How could a laptop be damaged? We only had it for 6 days and it got sent back.

So I wanted to buy some parts on Newegg, and to be smart I wanted to do some research on them before buying them. I did not want to just read the user reviews and then blindly make a decision based on that. So I found a motherboard that interested me (ASUS TUF B350M-Plus Gaming), and wanted to try the Ryzen 5 2400G CPU with it for the onboard Vega Graphics. I did see one review about this, but that did not matter because ASUS told me that if the part number on the sticker on the actual motherboard had the last 4 digits of 3203 or higher, that it would work out-of-box with the Ryzen 5 2400G CPU. My daughter had just bought this motherboard from Fry's, and it did in fact have 3803 as the last 4 digits of that number. However, that number could be different based on when Newegg received shipment, or when Newegg distributors received shipment.
So I wanted to be safe and ask them if they could check that for me. Well NONE of them, not Newegg, and not the distributors wanted to cooperate with me. They all told me they did not have access to the product, that it is shipped directly from ASUS distribution centers to the consumers. ASUS completely negated that statement though, saying the distributors buy stock at various times during the cycle of a product and keep them in a warehouse for shipment. Because this motherboard was manufactured in 2017/2018, there is no telling what the part number would be.
When we buy products from Newegg, or their distributors, we get a box that says Newegg on it with either a Newegg mailing address, or one of the distributor's addresses, not an ASUS box, and not an ASUS address. If that number isn't at least 3203, then the motherboard will not boot, and will require RMA, and or a "Boot Kit" from AMD. So I did not buy this motherboard, and chose to get the newer version of the motherboard, which is essentially the exact same thing, but newer (ASUS TUF B450M-Plus Gaming), which comes with Ryzen 5 2400G support out-of-box.
So to sum up this review, and not be super critical of Newegg, because they are a good company. I am just suggesting that they should list actual part numbers for all products, and not just a model phrase EG: ASUS TUF B350M-Plus Gaming (which is NOT a part number). If they just had actual part numbers, people could do thorough research before buying and avoid RMA!

The distributors and ASUS should be providing consumers with actual part numbers!

I've ordered, processor, ram and graphic card through Newegg, it was first time ordering anything from them. I've placed my order on the 24th of March, and because I live in New York City I wanted to be safe so I choose their Local Express same day delivery (adult signature required). I didn't received anything on 25th, I called them on 26th to complain. They said I'll be getting it later on same day, I didn't received nothing and shipping status was out for delivery for 2nd. I've called on 27th that I didn't received my package, they assured me that I'll get it later on same day. Afternoon status changed to Delivered. I was all day home. Never heard anyone knocking or ringing the door, no one asked me for the signature and there was nothing by my door. I've called them again. They said to wait. Carrier updated the status but they didn't delivered it as of yet.
How carrier can update status and before even making a delivery with signature required, at evening I called them again and they suggested to make a claim. So I did make a claim. They said it can take up to 7 days, I've called them again on April 5th and they said that I need to file a police report. Police report on who? Delivery was with signature required so it couldn't be stolen. If I'm not at home they can't drop the package. I asked if the carrier provided them with the proof of delivery with the name and signature of the person who received the package, they said they don't have such a proof and they need police report number because it's over $2000 so they can refund me my money.
So I went to the police station today, I showed everything to police officer and officer asked me same thing. Did Newegg obtained a proof of delivery with the name and signature from DHL. I said no, so police told me to ask that proof from the Newegg because packages with this type of shipment method couldn't be stolen and if DHL dropped it by the door somewhere it's their negligence.
So I've called Newegg again, agent couldn't answer any of my questions. Just told me that the claim has been denied, she transferred me to supervisor, supervisor told me that with this kind of shipping no signature is required. When I pointed him that it clearly stated on their website when you choosing options and there is no other Local Express same day delivery without signature available he said, "Oh yeah. I see that but for this particular package no signature was needed and DHL confirmed that they dropped it off by the front door."
I was totally shocked by that statement, so you just change your own rule for this particular package, I told him again that there is no such an option Local express same day delivery available on their website and I've read him all available options. Finally he said that I'm right and he will contact claim department again to ask about it but it can take few days. At this point it looks like they just brushing me off, I don't have my products and I'm out way over $2000, I contacting credit card company to look in this matter. IT WAS FIRST TIME AND LAST TIME I ORDERED FROM THIS COMPANY. Use Amazon or Best Buy or Micro Center or anyone but not Newegg.

I bought a LG Oled TV that was a really good price. I thought Newegg was a reputable site but how wrong I was. The shipment came and the TV was damaged. I contacted their customer service and eventually they asked if I wanted a replacement. They even said they wanted to offer a $10 gift card. (I mean it's so little but whatever) I said yes and so the process began. It was slow but eventually they said they will send FedEx to pick up the TV. They came once but I was not home as no one told me the schedule of when they would come and pick it up. So I contacted Newegg and had to send a bunch of emails back and forth. They TASKED ME into figuring out about the pickup from FedEx.
At this point I just wanted to return the TV so that I can get a replacement ASAP so I went and dropped it off at FedEx. I patiently waited, I even verified with one of the chat agents that the RMA that said 'refund' was just for internal purposes and that I was in fact, getting a replacement. I waited about a week without hearing from them so I contacted them again. Looks like the item was out of stock and they issued a refund. What? Why was I not informed of this? I didn't even receive the refund! To cap it all off my last interaction with them was less than stellar. Essentially I was told, "Sorry too bad, when you receive your refund you can buy with us again or go somewhere else!" This whole process took about a month. I was initially patient with them but that was disappearing with each passing day. Save yourself the headache, go anywhere else.

The monitor I order having a huge screen defect. They can't not offer replacement because I order it out of US. Then also said I can't get a full refund because the original shipping fee can't refunded. Then they arrange a returning via DHL which is not the original shipping service provide. After the half day of waiting the DHL guys said they can't pick up the monitor due to it sure be responsible by Fedex. Then the CS said can I bring the monitor to the DHL facility after I lost $40 shipping cost and I have to paid for the fare toward the facility. Finally, the CS arrange with DHL to pick up my return in the next few day. Hopefully I don't have to take a day off for waiting that the DHL to pick up my return.

So I am building a Pc and it is kind of integral for my work. I'm making a home office I work and game from. I enjoy both. Yet somehow when I was searching through Newegg they offered me a Nice MSI monitor 70 or 80 bucks off retail because it was refurbished. So I thought why not. This however was through a third party seller. So maybe they don't refurbish properly I don't know. Maybe something happened in repair and wasn't replaced right. Whatever. I figure it's refurbished so it's no big deal. I take the monitor out of the box and it's super nice. I love it aesthetically. I begin assembly and notice there's no button in the buttonhole. I believe it's supposed to look like a little joystick in this model but it was gone completely and you could see that there was some Knicks and damage around it just cosmetic.
I thought this was just part of the whole refurbished deal. It turned on fine and let me connect my video card right so I wasn't worried it worked for me. 80 bucks off for a button? Who cares. Well I do now. Because whatever had to do with that button was more than just the plastic joystick. It seems that the button that the joystick would have touched which is mounted to the motherboard has a mind of its own. I did use a flashlight and found the button leads. I did not poke around in there at all out of fear of voiding any warranty and return options I might have but I will mention that indeed it did look like the button was worn.
Maybe the refurbish company couldn't replace it and forgot to put the joystick back in? I don't know. What I do know is that I am appalled it happened and they can call it professionally refurbished. It constantly flashes the OSD menu and moves around the options all on its own. I am afraid to touch it because I don't want to damage it. There is no sign of the directional button anywhere. So now I'm going to have to return this monitor which really sucks. I didn't have a problem with just a missing button. But I can't have that menu popping up constantly and interrupting my gaming or working.

I ordered a Samsung 65" Q9N tv from Newegg online Wednesday and it was about 400 less than the other deals and free shipping that was estimated about a weeks time. I thought, Oh wow, Great deal! They use AIT 3rd party shipping whose system began automatically calling me the following Monday of my order telling me to call to set up a delivery date. When I called I was first put on hold for 5 minutes then hung up on. Called back and they said they would call me back after inspecting the box for damage and getting it ready to ship. Never received a callback. Same automated call the next morning and I called and talked to a different person said she promised I would receive a call by the end of the day. Still no call. Reason being they said my contact info was bad. But how can their automated system call me and actual people not be able to?
So after giving mine and alternate numbers multiple times I also emailed Newegg and told them it was their responsibility at this point. Finally it said they received update contact info and I would be contacted within the next 1-2 business days. It was 2, sigh. This whole time I believe the tv only 50-60 miles away from me in the city. But with the call Thursday morning confirming delivery date and time for Friday 11 - 3 I finally started getting my hopes up. Truck arrives around 2:30 Friday and I come out to inspect my expensive purchase. Holes and dents in box. I can see plastic cracked through the hole in the box. Hopes shattered. What a waste of time and tie up of money. I would estimate a 15% chance of getting any large or heavy item in good condition ordered from Newegg. Those chances are not worth it, just don't do it. Learn from my pain and turmoil.

We ordered a 6TB hard drive Fri, March 22nd. Newegg said it would ship Mon, Mar 25th and arrive by Fri Mar 29th. Newegg created the shipping label Mon, but FedEx did not receive the package until today, Wed, Mar 27th. And the delivery date is now Wed, Apr 3rd, a week away. If I had bought it from Amazon on Fri, it would have been here on Sun, two days. Twelve days to order from Indianapolis and ship to Nashville is totally unacceptable.

I purchased a Acer XZ271U bmijpphzx 27" monitor. I paid extra for the expedited shipping and handling. When it arrived on 3/12 it a different monitor entirely. When I looked it up, it was a 200.00 monitor not a 400.00 monitor. I did a chat with NewEgg. An hour and 20 minutes later I was still chatting and Divona could not seem to help. So I called. Jess was good, got me a label and RMA number. I didn't even open the box. Shipped it back exactly as received.
It is now two weeks later. I checked NewEgg. Return received 5 days ago. Then I saw where it said my money was refunded. So I checked my card and it was. I did not want my money back. I wanted my monitor. I have had no contact from the company at all that they were not sending the correct monitor as I specifically requested. Oh I got a, "Sorry you had a problem so here's a 20.00 gift card." Even then no one told me I was not getting my monitor. It is now the 25th of March. Worst service I have ever gotten in my life.

I've been waiting 8 weeks for Newegg to refund $88.99 on a purchase of a Logitech mouse that their "Marketplace" seller mistakingly shipped to a different address 2,000 miles away. The seller and Newegg agreed to refund my money, because they didn't have any more in stock. They then strung me along telling me multiple times you'll see the PayPal refund in 3-5 days, 7-10 days, etc. Five weeks later I opened a Paypal dispute, but I also contacted Newegg one last time asking about the status of my refund and this was their response:
Conny from Newegg Customer Service wrote: "Our accounting team said: Refund voided due to chargeback, please help ask customer close the case first. Could you please contact PayPal to close this case so then we can refund again?" Nope not gonna do that, which would leave me with no recourse to get my refund. You had 5 weeks to refund my money before I opened the dispute, so I REALLY don't trust you to send it after I close the dispute. If you want the dispute closed, send the refund. PayPal will close it instantly. I can't tell if Newegg customer service is incompetent or unethical, regardless they've lost me as a customer and I'm warning other people about them.

I have bought a Lenovo Y50/70 in December 2014. I used it for four years. When I first got it I was happy because all I wanted at the time was a laptop with a 960m - the best I could afford at the time. I used the laptop for 2 years until I had to get a disk format. After that the laptop GPU literally changed from 960m to 860m. I have contacted customer support only now because I couldn't find the actual ID and PW with which I had bought the item years ago. Apparently, I had bought the laptop through my father's account.
Anyways, the order history says that I bought a 860m, but I have lived with a 960m for two years? I updated the Nvidia card many times on my 960m so I am hundred percent sure of the fact that I wasn't mistaking a 860m for a 960m. The computer updated with a Nvidia auto GPU detector into a 960m driver??? Now that I have recovered my father's account, the order history even states that I did get a 860m - which does prove against me. But I cannot stress the fact that I had been using a 960m for TWO YEARS!

I recently bought a third party iPhone 6s battery from Newegg.com. When I received it I tried to install it to only find out the snap connector on the flex cable is not built to specification and would not fit my iPhone. After contacting Newegg.com, they agreed to credit my card for the amount of the battery, but would not give me credit for the 4$ sticky tape that was wasted during the install attempt.
I asked for a reference number for the return, anything to prove the conversation took place. They said they do not give this out and for me to just contact them after 5 days if it doesn’t show up on my account. That was early in the day. I check my email several hours later and lo and behold, I have an email from Newegg.com telling me that my credit has been charged successfully and that they have shipped me a brand new iPhone 6 battery. That’s right, they sold me another battery, and the wrong one at that. Pleasant emotions soon followed.

I purchased a refurbished VIZIO soundbar S2920W-COB from Newegg. After using the soundbar for two months it quit working. I originally purchased the product outside of the 90-day return policy for refurbished products (purchased 4 months ago) as a gift, but the soundbar wasn't used until two months ago. I was told, "I see the item only came with a 90 days refurbisher warranty and it has expired. I am afraid there is not much we can do per this case. I would suggest you contact the manufacturer, Vizio to see if they can fix the item for you". I contacted VIZIO and they would not warranty or offered to fix the product. I'm surprised that Newegg would ship a product without thoroughly testing the unit before selling it on their website as "Refurbished". The customer service rep was not concerned with my issue and didn't try to resolve the issue whatsoever, not caring for the issue at hand. I would like to return the item.

The item was listed 1 dozen balls 10.37. I ordered 2 dozen balls and received two balls!!! When I try to find the order it’s not the same dozen balls listing that I originally ordered. I called customer service and it’s the same. They can’t see anything but that ordered 2 quantities of baseballs and can’t help!!! What a total scam. Be careful. Ordered 4 apple-type earbuds from a marketplace seller. Items took many weeks to arrive. At 4 weeks I asked for a refund from Newegg but they ignored me. At 5 weeks I got them but none worked. Again asked for a refund and was told I had to contact seller first and wait 2 days. Seller didn't reply and then I was able to file a claim. Claim was denied because it has to be filed 30 days after purchase which was before I received the items.

I ordered a hard drive and to avoid to outrageous shipping (around $ 28 for a $45 hard drive) signed up for ShopRunner. I had to use PayPal to pay and was never asked for my shipping address. So the drive is shipped by FedEx to my mailing address (the one on my PayPal account), which is different from my physical address. The package arrived in the FedEx hub in Puerto Rico and the status is now 'delivery exception' because they can't deliver to my mailing address. FedEx doesn't want to listen to a recipient to change the address so I contacted Newegg customer service. 'Cris' told me that there's nothing they can do, the package will be returned and I will get a refund. This is frustrating! They could contact FedEx and change the address, but "there's nothing we can do".

I placed an order with Newegg on 3/3, and noticed that Newegg hadn't even shipped it by 3/7 - so I contacted Newegg customer service to check on the status, as I really needed this part ASAP. I used the Newegg customer service chat option, and was put in touch with somebody named "Iverson" after a short wait. Iverson assured me that my item would ship soon, and that I would definitely have it before 3/13. That is still a very long time to wait compared to Amazon, but I didn't cancel the order because as long as I had the item by 3/15 I'd be ok.
I checked the shipping status this morning, and FedEx indicates that my item will arrive on 3/19. That is nearly ONE FULL WEEK after Newegg's customer service rep promised that I'd have the item by, and is well past the date that I actually need the item by. The Newegg CSR simply lied to me to prevent me canceling the order! I'll never deal with a company this dishonest again - the same item was a few dollars more on Amazon, and Amazon consistently gets items to me within 48 hours and has excellent customer service whenever I need it.

My son got a open box CyberPowerPC desktop from Newegg for Xmas 2018 for $779.00 (sale price $850.00). He didn't use it until February 2019. He only used it 3 times before the computer didn't turn on. It was "blue screen." My son was sad and disappointed that a company like this would sell a product that breaks less than 2 months (3 times of using it). I emailed their Newegg customer service team, and they said "it's past the 30 days. You'll have to contact the manufacturer." (It was a Xmas present...REALLY). I said "I don't understand how an "openbox" product can break only after using it for 3 times." I bought open box from Best Buy and Walmart and never had it break on me (after 5 years usage yes). Then I asked how many times has the product been return to them. They couldn't tell me. Then I asked what was the reasons for the return. They couldn't tell me.
Now, I know when they have a "30 days" policy. They good doesn't last past that time period. If I buy electronic from other companies like Best Buy, they would take the product back and have me pay a restocking fee or at least trade it in for a working one. Not have me call tech support. Be care of their return policy. Even if you return it within the 30 days, it's up to them to accept your return once you pay for your own shipping to ship it back to them. Don't forget...it's critical to keep their box too if you want anything compensation. If that's the kind of product and BS, you want to go thru then so be it. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND NEWEGG TO ANYONE. The open box vs the sale price is only about $70.00 difference. Newegg rather lose a customer by not standing by their product vs fixing the issue.
They are a computer company. That's what they do "fix and resale computers"...etc. I guess we got what we paid for...junk. I wonder what would happen if we bought it at the sale price and the same thing happens. Then we would be out of $850.00 instead of $779.00 and we would still have to go through the BS... "30 days policy." No wonder people shop at Amazon and other big companies because they know their customer satisfactions comes first. If NEWEGG is a mom and pop shop, well, they're giving them a bad name... DON'T SHOP AT NEWEGG UNLESS YOU WANT TO DEAL WITH THEIR BS RETURN POLICY AND LOSE OUT ON YOUR HARD EARN MONEY. I purchase from a lot of online vendors, but this is the only one that repeatedly voids orders for no reason, refusing to allow them to go through, despite more than adequate funds being available on a credit card used regularly for purchases. I experienced this personally with a refurbished Acer computer that I attempted to order on three occasions, the third time, their customer service department put the order through themselves, and they claimed that it had gone through. Despite this, the funds still remained on the card, and I still received an email indicating that the order had been voided, just as I had the other two times. Very disappointed, would have expected that after talking to their support for hours, they could not find a reason that these orders were being voided. From some searching online, this issue appears to be fairly common, which is disappointing. I trust Newegg less than my ex.

Just as 90% of the other complaints, I ordered something, tried to cancel 30 minutes later but was advise I could not until the manufacturer received and processed the order. Then I would be subject to their return policy if they had one. This is a waste of time for them, the manufacturer and the consumer, as well as costly to both the manufacturer and definitely the consumer. This is a terrible business model and the reviews show it. I will never use their services again.

I purchased an Avera television from Newegg on 7/31/18. It was advertised for $99 after an $80 rebate from Avera. I promptly submitted the rebate form with required UPC and serial number labels and sent it via certified mail due to the large rebate amount. USPS shows the rebate was successfully received by Avera on 8/6/2018 based on the tracking number. Per the rebate form, a rebate check was to be sent no later than 8-10 weeks (for processing). I contacted Avera a number of times by phone & email since no rebate was received.
Previously I was told to send an email stating my date of purchase, rebate amount and model of TV. I complied and received an acknowledgement and that I would receive a rebate check in the upcoming weeks. It's been many months since this and I have not received my rebate & the company no longer replies back to me. They have failed to respond to further inquiries. I understand that many others have experienced the same result. Avera Digital is fraudulent and is deceiving consumers. I have also filed complaints with the BBB & CA Attorney General. I fault Newegg for continuing to do business with this company & offer such promotions.

I bought an AMD Ryzen 5 CPU from Newegg on Black Friday, along with some other components. I've been buying components as I save money for them and was finally able to put all the components together and power up my system on Sunday, 2/24. The CPU ran hot right out of the box on the first system power up. After work today (2/25), I went to power on my system again and it doesn't boot past the first screen with the Windows logo. I narrowed it down to the CPU, so I contact Newegg customer support through chat. It went something like this:
I started the chat with "Betty". I asked Betty how to get a replacement for my CPU as it is defective AND it is covered for 3 years by Square Trade. "Betty" originally stated that my item would need to be replaced through the manufacturer and that it was NOT covered by Square Trade, only the motherboard that I bought at the same time. I had to then correct "Betty" as I do indeed have a Square Trade protection policy for this CPU. After "Betty" again insisted I contact the manufacturer, she later stated I needed to contact Square Trade instead.
I then asked "Betty" if there was a feedback survey after the chat. I had to ask "Betty" twice before my question was answered. I then asked "Betty" if it was possible to get a transcript of the chat emailed to me, to which "Betty" replied, "I'm sorry why you need the transcript?" I asked "Betty" a second time if the chat transcript could be emailed to me, to which "Betty's" response was the following: "I'm sorry that I have explained that we're unable to issue return for you since it passed 30 days. Since you have bought 3 years square trade warranty, which is a third party warranty, so you would need to contact them for return." I had to ask "Betty" 3 times if I could have the chat emailed before she simply said, "Yes, we can." When I asked "Betty" HOW to get the chat emailed to me, she quietly left the chat without stating she was leaving, asking if I needed anything else, etc. She gave absolutely no indication she was leaving the chat.
A number of minutes later, "Emilio" joined the chat and said, "Hi there Jason! I don't believe we can send you a transcript of your return, but you can access the record of your return through your order history on our website!" I then stated that I was not asking for a transcript of any return, but rather a transcript of the chat session. Again, "Emilio" quietly left the chat without any indication that he was leaving. I was never able to get a Newegg agent to answer my question regarding getting a chat transcript emailed to me, and had to ask each question multiple times before receiving any kind of answer.
The Newegg chat agent not only give out wrong information, as was the case in stating that my CPU was not covered under a Square Trade policy, but they apparently have no clue in how to actually serve the customer and get from "problem" to "resolution". It's only, "customer has a problem" and, "Oh, I'm sorry, that's not Newegg's problem." Newegg gets an F- in customer service.

My 14 year old son has been a very good customer who has used his own money to purchase very expensive products from Newegg. Recently, he purchased a GPU for $500 and for two entire months it actually worked! Then it failed and he contacted the manufacturer (Sapphire) and was told, and the warranty states I might add, that the warranty is at the sole responsibility of the distributor. He contacted Newegg and they were unwilling to do anything for him and told him to reach back out to the manufacturer. So the game of cat and mouse began. In the end, nothing was done for the poor kid and now Newegg has lost a customer (and his friends) forever. We will be using Amazon for everything moving forward. It is unfortunate but we should have learned from the other reviews that we are now reading.

I have been a loyal buyer from Newegg since the beginning. I have spent many thousands of dollars, buying so many products through them. I ordered a USB C cable from one of the marketplace vendors. I have never been a fan of the marketplace. Direct from Newegg was ALWAYS a very good experience, up until the marketplace came about. I stayed nonetheless. Two days after I ordered the CABLE, the vendor CALLED MY HOME PHONE, claiming they needed to discuss the order. I stress the fact that they called my home because they are NOT supposed to have access to my personal information. Contacting them now has become terribly difficult. There is NO MEANS of contacting them through the site anymore. You have to do a google search for customer service.
After spending more time than I should have, looking for a way to get a hold of them, I contacted by chat, and had the same lengthy issues as other reviewers. Took about an hour to get through the queue and chat with someone. Shortly after I get someone, the chat disconnected. The person was at least nice enough to email me back, apologizing about the disconnect. I expected a dialog, but only got one response. I wanted to cancel the order and find out how they got my number. This is suspicious and I wanted to cancel the order because of it. A message was sent to the vendor saying that I "changed my mind". No response from anyone as to why and how I was contacted.
I have to point out that getting the call itself was not so troubling. It is the fact that ALL transactions are to go through Newegg only. Just as suspicious was that they needed to talk to us about a simple CABLE. What question could they possibly have about a cable, and why could the question not be asked via Newegg message. I am sorry to say that I can't see myself ordering through Newegg again.

Newegg has brought me to a new low in customer service and online retail. I purchased an I9700k off Newegg Feb 12 at 7:00 am after canceling my original order off Amazon for the same product due to the fact it was out of stock. Seeing this product on Newegg "in stock" I decided to bite the bullet and go with them even though the product was at a higher price. (It was the last remaining part of my build and chalked up the extra expense in my mind as the price of convenience.)
After placing my order I was shortly after sent an email stating that my FedEx tracking number was assigned. Shipping time is also placed on this invoice as well with a date of Feb 12 2019. I was pleasantly surprised to see how quickly my order was processed and shipped. Skip ahead to Feb 18. I had been checking my tracking somewhat regularly as I was very excited to have this project all finished up. Unfortunately when checking it always read the same "shipment information sent to FedEx" labeling. I didn't read too much into this as I had tracking numbers in the past simply not work and assumed it would show up any day now. But on Feb 18 something did updated on the tracking of my package. It arrived at a FedEx SmartPost in Houston, TX. Now I'm confused.
This same day I also received an email from Amazon stating the item I wanted was now back in stock. My mind cannot help but find the coincidence of this timing. So I have a theory Newegg did not have this item in stock and simply created a label and assigned a tracking number. (Actually I am fairly confident in this assumption as the details of my package also changed. Most importantly the weight changed.) I was also supplied with a estimated shipping date of 2/25/2019. So In conclusion I have paid more and waited longer. I find it very hard to believe that it takes Newegg 2 weeks to deliver an "in stock" item.
Then there is the issue with Newegg's customer service. Good luck with the chat system as you will be waiting at least half an hour to talk to what seems like a robot which spits out responses like "yes this order has been picked up by the carrier on 02/18 but we do not have the exact reason here" or "if you still not received this order at the end of 02/25, please contact us back then", completely missing my true malfunction. Then the service representative simply tries to throw a little money at you and I quote again "For this inconvenience I will offer a $10 gift card as compensation. Is it okay for you or not?" The whole situation has left a terrible taste in my mouth and truly plead you to go elsewhere with your hard earned dollar.

Where do I start? I placed an order for an entire PC through their PC build kit. The kit comes with two free gifts (keyboard and screwdriver set). First I get emails claiming that something was out of stock and the entire combo would not ship. Then I get 2 new emails that case and the two gift order were placed. Since the gift discount was applied to the combo and not the actual gift items I was being charged for the price of the gifts (keyboard and screwdriver set ~$60). SO now I essentially had a case ordered with no components and was paying 60 bucks for things I had no intention of ever paying for.
I call customer service and the representative was actually helpful and confirms that everything was in stock and that my credit card had declined the order. Sure enough it had and I resolve the issue and the payment goes through. He confirms that NO ITEMS ARE OUT OF STOCK. So why did you cancel my order claiming it was out of stock instead of telling me it was a credit card issue? Anyway while he was in process of helping me their line disconnects and they never call back. I try the NEWEGG chat and I get stuck on number 10 in queue for 1 hour. I reopen a new chat and start again and eventually get to a chat. The representative confirms to me AGAIN that EVERYTHING IS IN STOCK AND MY ORDER IS FULLY PLACED.
One day later - the GPU on my order was canceled for being out of stock. Everything else is shipping. It's like they have no idea that the purpose of the PC build kit is to have a full computer worth of parts. The part is available from MULTIPLE other vendors on NEWEGG. Tried to call - never connected. Newegg chat - stuck on queue (10) for an hour even though it was steadily decreasing before then. Has to be a software bug with their chat or something. Currently in the chat waiting right now. Worst company I have ever ordered from. I am spending a ton of money here and they're just canceling items part of a bundle with no warning and after confirming it was all in stock and I have no way to resolve it. Guess where I am in the queue again? Number 10.

I got a Newegg e-gift card by email about one year ago, after placing an order. Yesterday I found that the e-gfit card was invalid, then I called the customer service to figure out what had happened today. After one hour waiting, someone finally called me back. He said that the e-gift card was a promotional gift card, so it would be expired after one year, and the policy of the card is on the Newegg website. But who will go to see the policy if the gift card was received by email? There was no information about the expiration date in the email, how ridiculous it is!!! And then the manager of the customer service just kept saying there was nothing wrong with them, they did everything reasonable. I really wanna know what's wrong with them. If there is zero Star, definitely I will choose 0. Don't buy anything from Newegg, it's mess up everything, really a bad company.

A claim was issued for a replacement and now 4 days later they are out of stock. This was very inconvenient. They should have just sent me a tv for equal value. I purchased two products with same day shipping. One arrives and the other doesn't. I contacted support and they tell me it never got shipped and that they "guess" it's going to show up on Monday, 5 days after I placed the order. No apologies, no alternatives or solutions. If I knew that it was going to take that long, I wouldn't have paid for shipping. Their best solution was to wait for me to get the product on Monday and then ship it back to them so I can get a refund. By far, a terrible experience. If I'm spending almost $700 on parts and pay extra to have them here at a certain time, I would expect Newegg to hold their end of the deal. Your chat agents are just awful too. The one woman I had, Betty, was just the worst. I'm not going to be buying from Newegg again. As soon as I receive my late product, I'm returning it and not spending a dime here again.

I ordered a Dyson vacuum cleaner from Newegg.com that was on sale. When I didn't get a shipment notification, I contacted the customer service department. They told me that there was an issue at the back end and the distributor did not get the order from Newegg. They also said that the order did not process properly despite the charges being applied. They told me if I need to make the purchase, I should make alternate purchase!!! Why??? The item is not on sale anymore. Why should I purchase the item that is listed twice the amount that I purchased originally.
I cannot believe these guys are not willing to work with their customers to get this resolved. I understand system glitches happen but instead of venting it out on the customers, good businesses work with their the customers to sort things out. Apparently, customer service is not NewEgg's priority. I am sure they will find out soon when customers won't make them their priority when looking to buy things from the web. I would give negative stars to this seller if I could! They wasted my time and treated me unfairly.

I purchased a Windows 10 digital product key from Newegg.com 1 day ago. I checked the description of the product and confirmed the requirements on the description were compatible with my computer. Well as it turns out it is not compatible because my graphics card is not compatible with OS 10. Now I’m out a computer as the old OS was wiped clean to install OS10 and $139.58. Newegg will not refund me and told me to contact Microsoft for a refund. I did contact Microsoft. Microsoft would have refunded me if I bought the product key directly from them- exact words from Microsoft support. Choosing who you do business with can make a big different in the outcome. Newegg.com can keep my $139.58 for the cooperate monster that they are but they lost all my future business and I will speak poorly of them to friends, family, and the public. Poor customer service.

Bought an Avera TV from them 6 months ago - as did my sister-in-law - due to an advertised rebate. We have never received the rebate. Every time that I contact them, they simply state that it's not their fault - it's Avera's fault. Only one response from Avera - 4 months ago - they need time due to bookkeeping! Complete fraud - don't purchase anything from Newegg.

They are simply crooks hiding behind technology.

I attempted to purchase from Newegg Australia store, they said my product was shipped and tracking said it was "en route" for 22 days. After 22 days they gave me a refund with no reason or contact. I contacted them to find out why and after a long wait they said they could not find my address to print for the label. How it takes 22 days to raise a refund when you cannot print a label is beyond me, but worst than this is the fact I was not even contacted. When you contacted them they just fob you off. I believe the practices of Newegg are very shady and suggest having nothing to do with a company like this.

Recently ordered a laptop from Newegg, and it included a bunch of free promotional items. A backpack, and a free Fortnite bundle. This was Deception #1. The Fortnite bundle was not free. They charged me $49.50 to my credit card for the game. This is ridiculous because Fortnite is absolutely FREE game anyone can download. Deception #2: Shipping on the laptop was supposed to be 3 days, but they shipped it via FedEx ground which took 5 days instead of three. If I put a similar sized package into the FedEx ground system it indicates 5 days. 3 days was a lie.
I was badly in need of a new laptop, and would have gladly paid for shipping, but they lied. I got the laptop OK, but customer service was terrible. In total, I spoke to 3 customer service reps. They wouldn't refund my money, and further calls to follow up resulted in customer service reps that argued, didn't listen, and even a supervisor (Vicky) that refused to help get my money refunded. The free gifts are a scam they use to increase profits. I will never order from Newegg again. You are better off going to Amazon.

Last November on Black Friday I ordered a Samsung SSD to upgrade my home tower. I paid for the product using PayPal. Unbeknownst to me as it is not made aware if you use PayPal they ship to whatever address you have linked to PayPal even if you type out a new address. While this was a major inconvenience I did live close to my old place and was in contact with them. The drive never arrived. I then spent a month going back and forth with customer service trying to figure out where my drive was.
Finally the carrier went out and check only to tell me the product never arrived. I have since then told Newegg and even given them the carrier's contact information to confirm the drive didn't arrive. Now they're say there's nothing they can do and I'm out the $160+ I paid. All because they never delivered the product. I've already told them that I will never ever buy another product from them. If you want cheap deals, Newegg has them. What they also have is a history of stealing from their customers. I can't warn you enough to stay away from Newegg. Their prices aren't worth the risk of getting your money taken for nothing.

I been a repeated Newegg customer for 3 years since I build my first pc in 2016. On 1/31/2019 I contacted Newegg about a promotion that was available. I spoke with a rep Illene **. She has assured me that she would look into a promotion I was after and see if it was active. Well she got back to me through email and assured that Newegg website made an error with the promotion and that it was invalid. Ok I left it alone. Next day I'm back on newegg.com I discovered that the promotion was active and all the MB were sold out! When I was inquiring to Illene ** about the product, product was still in stock. I'm very disappointed and upset the way Newegg treated my case. I missed out on the sale. I remember when Newegg would always put the customer first during this. I felt rushed and felt that the rep didn't care and wanted to get rid of me. Now I'm considering some other place to purchase my computer needs.

I ordered a new processor late on January 28th. Upon receiving my e-mail the next day showing the invoice, I noticed that the shipping address shown was my old address where I no longer reside. I immediately called and asked if the address could be changed since it had not yet been shipped. I was told to wait until it was shipped and shown as in transit and a change of address could be submitted. I checked the shipping information for 2 days and as soon as I saw it was in transit this morning, January 31st, I call in again. I was then told that nothing could be done, and it was suggested that I could either fill out forms with the USPS at a cost, or drive to the old address and retrieve the package.
That is my options? How is it possible that I call 2 DAYS BEFORE IT IS SHIPPED and nothing could be done and my best options now are forms and additional expenses or driving to a stranger’s house to get my package when it was sent out knowing it was going to the wrong place? Is this a joke? I work 12 hours every day 6 or 7 days a week. I do not have the time for additional forms, or driving to another home to get my package. I feel I gave PLENTY of warning about this going to the wrong place and nothing was done AND was given erroneous information regarding a solution to this problem.
I will not be filling out a form with the USPS or paying any additional fees. I will not be driving and knocking on a stranger’s door past 8 pm in another city asking for my package either as was suggested to me by your company. I fully expected an actual solution to be presented to me that is an actual realistic solution to this problem and did not receive one. I will never order anything from this company ever again.

I bought the item above and saw it drop in price $75 hours after I placed the order. I immediately contacted them (well before the item even shipped) asking for the difference refunded to my card. Now they say since the item has been delivered they will not honor the lower price.

I bought a gaming laptop from this company and they offered 2 day shipping so I wanted it as soon as possible, I decided to go with the 2 day shipping, I ordered it on Saturday knowing it might not get here until Tuesday and the delivery even said it would be Tuesday but to avail no laptop but they sent the mouse pad earlier than the laptop cause they said my address was close but that doesn't make sense cause the mouse pad wasn't supposed to be here till Wednesday... End result I got the mouse pad for the laptop but not the laptop even though I got two day shipping for it and I still haven't got the laptop... This was my first time ordering from this site and I had a horrible experience so I suggest you see what your other options are before dealing with this company and the headache that comes with it.

I ordered a laptop for a Christmas present for my daughter (Order # **). It was delivered while I was at work, but the tracking said it was "handed off directly". Since no one was home I was worried they had delivered it to the wrong address. Goodness I wish that had been true. Instead when I got home, in the middle of the driveway was a shredded box with the computer about ten feet away and the power supply five feet from there. I have a long driveway and this was left about 20 feet from the house, and 50 feet from the detached garage. I took the computer inside, but it wouldn't turn on or charge. I tried to call that night, I was on hold for two hours, then was disconnected.
I called Newegg the very next morning. I sent pictures, and the person I talked to said that a refund was a sure thing, and I could get it replaced but, it might not arrive before Christmas, but he could put it down for a refund and I could order another one. They even upgraded the shipping on the new one. I asked how to return the damaged one and was told that FedEx would email me within 10 days to schedule a time to pick it up, not to box it since they would want to inspect it. That matched my expectations since I had to do that with FedEx three years ago for a pressure washer that arrived with a bent frame and a wheel snapped in half. I never got an any contact from FedEx and of course 10 days was the weekend before Christmas eve.
After Christmas I tried to call Newegg and, this is weird, I got an automated response that "due to problems with our phone carrier, we can't take any phone calls". Seriously, I can't make up something this silly. I emailed them and got an automated response that "due to the high volume of email we can't respond right now". Can you say "Bad Omen"! I called again and I was told that "oh no, we don't have FedEx contact you. We just have a contract with FedEx to handle these problems, and the claim is approved. You should have your refund in three to four business days". A week later, still no refund…
I have to call again. This time I was told that they don't know why I haven't gotten the refund. They would put in a "check request" and call me the next day. No phone call, no refund, no communication until an email from Newegg that FedEx had rejected the claim and there was nothing they could do! Now I'm really unhappy, so I respond that I don't care about FedEx. I want to return the defective computer. They respond that "we recommend try selling it on Let go or Offer Up". This is NOT a reputable company. I called again and was put on hold, then disconnected after 10 min. To their credit, they did call me back and tell me that they keep dropping calls after 10 min. What kind of fly by night company is this that can't maintain a phone connection? Seriously, It's so absurd that I wouldn't make up a story like this for fear no one would believe me.
I finally talk to another person who recommends that I try the manufacturer warranty! I do NOT want two computers, I want to return a defective one, so I guess it was my fault for believing the first person I talked to, and accepting their word that I could get a refund and I should buy a second one so it would arrive by Christmas. In reality, my ONLY mistake was buying something from Newegg. I now have another promise that someone will call me back tomorrow but they need approval to allow me to return an item with a ripped up box! That's right, you can't return something with a ripped up box without upper management approval. This isn't Amazon folks, it isn't even Walmart. Seriously I think Dollar Tree has a more useful return policy. Do NOT ever buy anything from Newegg unless you’re willing to eat the loss if it doesn't work.

We purchased a vinyl 3D “LED” clock as a gift. Surprisingly the clock arrived on time and looked like the picture, however, we couldn’t find a way to turn on the LED lights that were advertised. I called and waited on hold for 23 minutes. Finally a guy answered and took down my concerns and emailed the seller (Phi), which I was provided a copy. A rep from Phi responded via email requesting a picture of the defective product so I complied. I researched this clock and found out to make the LED lights work it requires a 16-key remote. I mentioned the remote on a few occasions to Phi with no acknowledgement. They just keep responding that the product is defective and offer a refund. Hmm...sounds a bit fishy (false advertising!).

Refused delivery of a product because the Newegg marketplace seller lied in their advertisement. Marketplace seller is non-responsive to e-mails, finally had to start leaving messages in their support forum to get attention. They claim they are issuing a full refund, but only sent a partial refund through Newegg, which still hasn't credited to my PayPal account after three days. Newegg keeps promising a full refund, but never issues one. Waiting on chat support (because you need all interactions with them in writing or they'll claim it never happened) is a multi-hour process most days. Obviously, they've just decided to keep my money and their misadvertised product. Newegg has gone from my go-to seller for electronics to a sham in about a year's time. Don't buy from them, unless you want to be lied to and wait forever for customer support that will do you no good in the end anyway. Order #**, if Newegg is watching.

However, I am also one who will go to great lengths to expose unscrupulous companies and vendors for what they are. I purchased a Samsung phone from Newegg.com on 09/20/2018. It has arbitrarily shut down on several occasions only to be restarted via hard reset. This past weekend 01/18/2019, it shut down and will NOT power back up. Spent the last 2.5 hours communicating with customer service. Only to learn the value of a repeat customer to them is $15??? This is the transcript at the end of 2.5 hours.
Hannah (Newegg.com CSR): "It's my pleasure to assist you. I am sincerely sorry about that your order was way outside of the time period so seller can no longer help, and what I can do for you is issue an $15 for compensate. I would feel the same in your situation". I have purchased 3 cell phones, software, computer and inet components over the years. Thanks Newegg.com for letting me know your monetary value of your customers is $15. Caveat Emptor! Steer clear of Newegg.com!

My credit card number was stolen due to Newegg's GROSS negligence by failing to maintain proper security over their online ordering system. My card received over $1170 in fraudulent charges. Between August 14 and September 18, 2018 hackers had injected code into the online ordering system of Newegg.com that captured personal data including name, address, credit card #, exp. date and CVV. I had placed two large orders with them during that period. It was only today, November 20, 2018 that I received ANY notification of this breach!!!
The letter identified the credit card I had used by the last 4 digits. Twelve days ago that I discovered, from my bank statement, that over $1170 of fraudulent charges had been posted, beginning October 17. At that time I had no idea how that could occur. I notified the bank immediately and the credit card number was immediately canceled. Besides being grossly negligent in allowing this hacking to occur, Newegg was egregiously negligent in failing to promptly notify customers. This is outrageous for a company supposedly dealing in technology. They should be sued. I have filed a complaint with the FTC and the California Attorney General. Doing business with these clowns is NOT worth the risk.

I ordered a build kit bundle...you would think that would mean all the parts would fit together nicely but... While customer service rep Kelly was friendly, it seemed that her hands were tied in resolving my issues. I had purchased a bundle build kit (almost 2 grand worth) that was sold together as compatible yet the CPU cooler did not fit correctly until I had to alter the case. This was an ASAP office build that I was able to make work after investing much dissatisfying time & effort. The build was installed into an office & obviously reflected that I may have been somewhat impaired in building it. CSR even asked if I may have ordered the wrong part after clearly including the bundle # directly from the order & order #. Unfortunately, CSR was only able to offer me a $25 credit for my trouble & for the website bundling a kit that did not bundle well together as promised.
I offered to send photo proof several times but was completely ignored... I was asked if I could take to a local store. Unfortunately, it would cost more than $25 to take & this pc & has already been customized for this office with this specific case. I am extremely disappointed that a $25 credit seems to be the magic number for customer satisfaction. I'm certain that my customers would not be satisfied with merely an about 1.3% refund for their trouble & delay. Sadly, this amount of customer satisfaction will not warrant a 5-egg review or recommendation.

I ordered a 27" monitor on 12/1 and received it on 12/5. The back lights for the monitor started flickering a week later and were completely burned out by 12/14. This is after being used as a second monitor very sparingly. When I attempted to do an RMA I was told that my item was ineligible. Which I thought was odd because I purchased it under the Extended Holiday Return Policy, which I thought was pretty clear.
So I talked to customer service, after being disconnected the first time and waiting through the queue again, and was very promptly told Newegg could not accept my return because I had 'physically manipulated' the monitor. What? What does that even mean? Sorry, I plugged it in? I was kind of taken aback by that statement. I was really disappointed that the rep's concern was more about getting me off the line than fixing my issue, after everything I said it was "Sorry, is that all the help you need for today?" So I was once again ineligible for return. Okay, so the rep tells me they will send me an invoice that I can warranty with Acer. Yea, that never happened. So I printed out my invoice and it literally says on the invoice "Extended Holiday Return Policy" item. So a second inquiry to no avail. Sent multiple feedback messages also to no avail. So here I am.
I've purchased from Newegg for 15 years and always thought I was paying for services as well as items. This is by far one of the most disappointing interactions I've had from an online vendor. There's just too many options out there to be treated like this. Newegg lost a life long customer over a $150 monitor. TLDR version, bought a defective monitor, "Extended Holiday Return Policy" is smoke and mirrors, Newegg customer service; too big to fail attitude. Thank you.

Ordered $1000 worth of computer components. I do not make a lot of money so I can only afford to do this about every eight years or so. One of the components was a power supply that was not marked correctly. Even after spending $1051, they would not honor the price of the product. I completed an online chat with Chelsea and they would not honor their price. Chelsea ended up not ever responding to my texts anymore. I did not curse or say anything bad, just that they charged me for the power supply, which they are not sending, and I have to wait for a refund. First you can't honor the price, now you take my money and I have to wait for a refund. Wouldn't you love to be about to use someone else's money.

They offer items for a greatly discounted price, and when they don't work, they demand pictures to be sent to a website or an e-mail address that are non-existent. I am just disgusted. I have purchased an MSI brand laptop from Newegg before the holidays as a gift. A week after receiving my laptop it crashed. So I called Newegg to request an exchange. I sent back the laptop in the MSI box that it came with along with all the accessories (the charger and manual book). A week after I get an email from the Newegg returns saying I’m missing the retail box. I was very surprised with this because I am 100% sure I sent out the retail box being the MSI box. So I called Newegg customer service to speak with someone about this. They told me to call back the next day to have a follow up of the details from the warehouse.
I called the next day and I spoke with a representative that contacted the returns warehouse and come back to tell me that it’s the shipping box they’re requesting now because it has the serial number of the laptop on it not the MSI box. I explained to the representative that I only received TWO boxes: 1. A regular brown shipping box that had only a Canada post label on it. 2. The MSI box that came within the shipping box that I sent back. He was extremely rude with me telling me that I am in the wrong and there’s nothing he could do because that is the policy that they need the shipping box.
After I heard this I immediately requested to speak with a supervisor. She was very nice and understood my situation. She requested photos from the warehouse of what I have shipped them. In the meantime I have contacted MSI and asked them if the shipping box should be required to make any returns. They said the shipping box does not have any serial numbers on it. It is the MSI retail box (the one I sent back) that has all of the serial numbers on it as well as all the specs of the laptop and the model name. I’m very disappointed with Newegg, they are giving me the runaround and making any excuse not to ship me a new computer. It’s almost day 4 from dealing with this nightmare and still no solution. Do yourself a favour and never purchase from this nightmare of a company.

Ok so let's start with I'm from Australia, Newegg just recently started officially doing business here. I was looking for an external HDD, 8TB or more. I found that the Seagate Backup Plus was a good drive, I love Seagate stuff so I went looking. Local stores are charging over $300 for it but then Newegg popped up and had it on sale for $130ish dollars, so I think bargain. Watched and read reviews - it all looked good so I ordered the drive. It took about a week to get here which was fast so I assumed they had their AU warehouse up and running. Opened the box and was excited until I saw the US power brick. Every review I'd seen either mentioned an international power brick or showed one.
The specs on the Seagate site were a little less clear but every other 3.5" external drive I've ever bought had one, most tech does, but this one didn't so I talk to Newegg CS chat and they suggest an RMA, so I start one. It fails before it completes. I then email Newegg CS and get a reply about a week later telling me I can't RMA it. After about a month of several useless emails from several different CS staff members telling me completely different things I decide to start a PayPal dispute. If Newegg can't help I'm not losing money because of their unwillingness to do anything.
After about a month of waiting PayPal sides with them (obviously coerced/paid off/whatever), so I'm out $130. I can buy a power supply for around $40-$50, and last week I get another email from another CS staff member telling me if I go out and buy a power supply they'll reimburse me the cost. After the way they've dealt with this I doubt it'd would happen. There would be some loophole where they'd claim I didn't do something right or because I used an after market power supply the drive is now uncovered by warranty and can't be returned, this is the state of mind they've put me in. There's is way more to this story but it's way too much to be typing here.
In conclusion Newegg are complete untrustworthy trash, don't do business with them. There are plenty of reviews (maybe I should have done research on the site first, but I'd heard good things from people years ago, seems after new management Newegg went to ** though), bad reviews, people having terrible CS issues, incompetent staff at all levels of the business, don't waste your money, literally any other tech retailer would be better, I know this now.

I have ordered this product to only receive it damaged. But, before getting to this product, I had a previous product that also came damaged. So, I received two items back to back damaged. The first order that came damaged was the Cooler Master 360mm liquid cooler. So, their resolution for the Cooler Master was "Cooler Master may be faster to get the broken part than to return the whole thing back to us". I called Cooler Master and it wasn't so simple as they stated. I went back to Newegg and they stated "item has to be received before refund can be started." So, week to deliver and 2 weeks to get your money back. WOW! So, not like Amazon, I had to buy another cooler so that I can time it to build this PC on my birthday Jan. 17th. Today is Jan 15th.
Now, let's get to the Lian Li - 011 case. When I picked this up from FedEx store, the box had no visible damage that you can really say it would hurt the product. And I know for a fact Newegg checks to see if the product is good or not as there is no removal of tape marks anywhere. Their resolution this time was "We can create the shipping label." If that is the resolution I wanted, then I would have just done it myself! Next resolution was "We can have FedEx guy pick it up." How is that a resolution? I am ** as the rep told me the case is back ordered. So now I am ** 2x. That was THEIR BEST RESOLUTION! I mean seriously? You send back to back damaged items and that's your service?! And top of that? My refund will not be received until the FedEx guy returns it to the location. NEVER EVER BUY FROM THIS PLACE!!! Be warned!

I was a new customer attempting to purchase a new motherboard, CPU, RAM, and liquid cooler from Newegg while a deal was going on. All initial purchase attempts (credit/debit/PayPal) failed with a 1-2 minute immediate "verification failed" email cancelling each attempted sale. I first attempted to reach out to them via phone and was told a ticket would be submitted and I would hear back from them "in a few hours". 2 days passed with no reply, so I left my opinion of the matter on their Facebook review and was told to contact them via private message.
After doing so and waiting another 2 days I was eventually told my account could not be unblocked (why was it blocked in the first place?) and that I would have to make a new account. Also the deal I missed could not be upheld. All in all, I was unable participate in a daily deal of theirs due to issues on their side and in the end the solution was for me to "make a new account". It's great to see this is how Newegg treats their new customers. Note: After being told to make a new account, I ordered all the items from Amazon who took my money with no issues whatsoever.

I ordered over $2000 in computer components to build 2 computers using gift certificates. I verified all items were in stock and shortly after submitting my order I received an email indicating some of the components were back-ordered and would not be available for 7 to 14 days and if they were not available in that time the order would be canceled. I contacted Newegg via the online chat to cancel the back-ordered items and they could not tell me which of the 5 certificates I redeemed would have the credit on it so they cancelled the entire order so I could reorder the items that were available.
After cancelling the order the online customer service agent indicated the funds would be available in 3 to 5 days. I said this was unacceptable and that I needed to reorder today. I informed Alvin I would call and see if I could resolve the issue. I asked him (Alvin) to un-cancel the order and I would call and talk to a customer service in person. He said he had voided the cancellation and asked if there was anything else he could do. I called Newegg and the customer service gentleman indicated the order was cancelled and there was nothing they could do. The funds had never been charged however they still would not be available until the end of the week. There are too many options to accept this quality of service these days. Thanks!

Extremely slow shipment (still waiting) and almost impossible to reach customer service (was #60 in queue). Placed an order on 1/4, receipt stated delivery in 4-7 days, tracking promised delivery on 1/11, didn't arrive, tracking then stated "not available", spoke with agent and told it was in the area, 3 days later it was in a town much farther away, contacted FedEx and told delivery set for 1/16 (2 days hence). This has cost me considerable $ in lost time as an IT. Have dealt with B&H (NYC) where delivery is 1-2 days and no postage. Bottom line: I will NEVER deal with Newegg again!

I wish I could give zero stars. I was looking everywhere for a copper blender to match my kitchen Decor. I found one on Newegg. I did not realize it was through a reseller at first but now this is a big problem because Newegg can’t help me. Or they won’t. On January 3rd, I placed my order. It arrived January 10 and was the completely wrong item. It was a bright blue colored blender and not the model I actually ordered. I try to arrange a return and exchange online, and the website would not function. I would fill in all of my information and it would not light up the submit button. Then I tried to use their customer service chat feature. I was placed in a QS number 63 in line.
Having come off Night Shift, I didn’t want to wait so I called the customer service number. I waited 47 minutes for someone to get to me. The representative informed me that this was a reseller and that he would contact this reseller and have them email me a return label. The seller was Electronic Warehouse Outlet. A company emailed me and told me they would mail me a return label. I was so frustrated because now I’m looking at at least two or three weeks until I get the thing I ordered and already paid for.
I replied to the email and stated my frustration. I got another reply saying that they don’t even have that blender, and never did. They blamed Newegg and said that they posted the wrong color in the description. They are now going to mail me a label and someday I will get a refund. However, they are not refunding my original shipping even though it is not my fault whatsoever! I saw a copper blender online and ordered it and now eight days later I still don’t have it, don’t have my $94, and I can’t even imagine having to call Newegg back again. Shop elsewhere, even if it’s something you are looking for is rare and you can’t find it, it’s probably because it doesn’t exist! Save your money.

Newegg.com has become worse and worse and now that they are allowing Marketplace Sellers we have had issue after issue with this company. They don't get anything right. They recently "Convinced" me to switch to a NewEggBusiness.com account stating nothing would change and they lied. I now get worse deals, less promo offerings and they don't even allow you to de-convert. That e-mail will always be associated with a business account. Sure I can create another e-mail, but seriously. I despise this company and I will be taking my 30k a year elsewhere just based on principle. I deal with hundreds of vendors, but this one is at the top of my list for being such a trashy company. Yeah, that's right. I hope this site fails so they'll be room for a company who doesn't make trash policies or have inappropriate sales tactics.

I ordered a refurbished, grade C, Dell Laptop. When it finally arrived, the card reader was missing (just a hole in the side) and one of the ports was permanently sealed shut with wax or plastic for some reason. How could something this bad even get through at all? I was expecting scuffs or scratches, but I was not expecting to have the exact features I paid for disabled or removed from the machine. I returned for a replacement and I STILL DO NOT HAVE IT. I will NEVER use Newegg again, and I will make sure to use social media to warn others.

Updated 01/15/2019: Quick update; for anyone reading the comments from Newegg staff saying "private message me and I'll look into this for you" and thinking "wow, it seems they're genuinely trying to do something to help here" DON'T BE FOOLED. Despite me directly replying and providing my order number and contact details I've had the same complete lack of action from this company as I had before I made the complaint. From what I can see this is their standard operating procedure; frustrate customers until they give up while trying to be seen to do the right thing. This place should be shut down.
Original review: I don't typically write reviews; but the service received from this company is just sooo bad that I feel the need to warn others. After going to their 'Australian' website, I order two products (both intended as Xmas presents). When these arrive, despite being ordered from their Australian site, and despite providing an Australian shipping address, they send me products with American power cords and voltage. I try and return this using their online return tool, however it refuses to allow me to lodge a return as there is no ability to enter a pickup location in Australia.
After discussing with online chat customer service, and then resorting to email customer service, they proceed to repeatedly give me the wrong advice about how to return the product. I must have had over 20 x emails back and forth with them. It has now exceeded their 30 day return period policy, which I suspect was all they wanted to achieve in the first place. They have now stopped replying to my last 10 emails entirely. DO NOT USE this company; go with a trusted name like Amazon, where they are actually prepared to stand behind the service they provide. I wish zero stars was an option.

My father in law asked me if it was safe to buy his phone online on Amazon, and while I use it all the time, I've never bought something that valuable off Amazon before. I was relieved to find the same phone for the same price on Newegg, where I've shopped for computer parts, monitors, etc. I reasoned Newegg specialized in electronics, and would have a better consumer protection. Well, phone arrived two days ago...wrong phone, headphones were from a different brand entirely and the phone won't turn on. My father in law immediately gets on the phone with Newegg customer service and waits FOUR HOURS. Finally gets through to someone, explain the problem and the rep says they'll reach out to the seller. Expect a response next day.
In the meanwhile I do some research and, of course, the seller is sketchy. I find numerous complaints of receiving the wrong device with Newegg customer service being unhelpful, delays that force claims to close, etc. Great. We decide to wait for the response from the seller. Next day, nothing, so father in law gets back on the phone with Newegg. Turns out the rep from the previous day never sent out an email, and he has to explain the problem all over again. This time he gets a copy of the email sent to the seller but the issue described is not accurate at all. How hard is it to grasp that a broken, wrong device was sent instead of the one ordered? Better off using Kijiji or Craigslist. At least they're straight with you on how to best protect yourself!

I ordered this 65" LG 4K Smart TV on 11/29/18. Today is 1/9/19 and I still don't have the TV. 40 days later and the shipping company AIT has not yet contacted me for delivery. This has been THE worst buying experience I've ever had, and I've bought a lot of stuff in my time. The first TV they just flat out lost. No one gave me an explanation. After repeated calls, 45 mins at a time, they finally issued a new order and began the process of sending the same model TV again to me. Of course using the same horrible freight company AIT.
AIT picked up the 2nd TV on December 26th. Since then the tracking shows "transferring to destination terminal". When you contact them the ONLY thing they will tell you is, "when it gets to its destination terminal you will be contacted to set up an appt for delivery". It's been 2 weeks... Nothing. Would I use Newegg again? Not a chance. Would I recommend them to anyone else? Not anyone I liked. After learning that they're majority owned by a Chinese tech company, I'm even less likely to...if that's even possible.

I used to like Newegg's products, but after trying to deal with their website I gave up. All I was trying to do was redeem a gift card, but there isn't an option to online. I tried to contact them and there wasn't an option to email them, the most basic means of contacting them. Then I tried chat which placed me #133 in the queue and there's no way in hell I'm waiting a 24 hours to chat. Then tried texting to which they didn't respond. They clearly have ZERO customer support. Also in the past the restocking fee was pretty ridiculous, especially when 2 products weren't compatible when the website said they were. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH NEWEGG!!! They are a terrible company and deserve to go bankrupt and everyone getting fired... At the very least.

Ordered a Western Digital hard drive in July 2017. The server technician advised that it was expired even though I had recently ordered it. I didn't pay too much attention to it since I purchased the 3-year warranty on it. He installed the drive and it worked fine until last November. Then, it crashed. I went through their website only to find I could not reach a human or get an immediate response. Called at 6:20 p.m. EST on January 4, 2019 figuring they were done with the holiday rush. Still a 45 minute wait and they're on the West Coast. I'm sitting here with a $120 drive that doesn't work and a wasted warranty. Server technician finally went out and purchased a new one from the local supply house since I couldn't get through to Newegg. Our server has been down ALL day - not good for a law firm. Buyer beware!!!

I ordered a new GPU, EVGA RTX 2080 FTW3, a $900 item. I Placed the order on 1/2/19 at 4:49 am (pmt), 7:49 am (est). Before they even opened on the 2nd... I used their Rush processing for an extra fee as well as Next Day Delivery. About $25 in extra shipping costs. The item never shipped on the 2nd. I waited most of the next day for a status change, nothing. That afternoon I tried calling Customer Service, over an hour wait, no answer. At the same time I tried using all of their other CS methods, text, "Thank you for contacting Newegg! Sorry, Newegg SMS is currently unavailable." Call Back, Call back is currently unavailable, try back later. Live Chat put you in a queue usually 200 people supposedly ahead of you, once it gets down to about 100 it stops moving. Eventually grey's out. Started at 89 early Thursday morning, got all the way down to #8 when it went grey and stopped moving.
The item in question finally shipped on Friday 1/4/19, 4 days after placing a next day delivery + rush processing. Now I check the tracking Number for FedEx and the item isn't going to be delivered until Monday, 1/7/19. A full week later. Every day from the 3rd on I have tried Getting through to CS and have never been able to talk to anyone. I waited 3 hours on Friday after FedEx told me they could deliver it on Saturday if the seller contacted them with a shipping charge. 3 hours and no one ever answered!!! Text is always down, call back is always down, Live chat put you in a queue that eventually stops moving. I seriously want to return this item and give my money to Amazon but now I'm reading some silly "Christmas Return Policy" Exchanges only!!! Is that even legal? Newegg I want my shipping money back. If I wanted to wait a week for delivery I would have taken the free option. Never again will I order another item from you.

Newegg unfortunately followed the footsteps of HostGator and others and removed (or hid well) the email option. You need to either start a chat or call, and in either case end up waiting 30m+, which is simply unacceptable. This also makes it impossible to report a problem after hours. Also, whatever you need to pay, pay it, and avoid their Super Eggsaver shipping option. It's nothing but FedEx handing over packages to USPS. The tracking number provides useful information until USPS takes over. My package came to a USPS 19 miles from my house five days ago, and the status changed to "pending", and now it's simply lost. Newegg started a "claim" with FedEx, which is apparently a 7-10 days procedure. This is on top of 12+ days since I ordered the item (which I really need, like right now). So, buyers beware. Amazon is looking really good to me after this experience.

I ordered my product 4 days ago. I am pretty sure I chose the 1-day rush processing option, and 2-day free shipping option. It took 4 days to process, and it will take 3 days to ship. The item is 1 hour away from me in a facility in NJ, but it will take 3 days to ship to me. I wanted to ask if I could just pick up my item from the facility before it ships, but it has taken me 3 hours to try and get into contact with someone from Newegg. The chat service keeps stopping at Queue (100). I tried 3 times and every time I start around #200 and end up at #100 to no response.
I texted, the text says "Thanks for texting Newegg. Someone will be with you shortly. Msg & Data Rates may apply. Avg of 1-3 messages per request. Reply CSSTOP to stop, CSHELP for info Thank you for contacting Newegg! Sorry, Newegg SMS is currently unavailable." That is contradicting itself, and yeah no one got to me shortly because the SMS is unavailable. I am contacting them during customer service hours as well.
I called two times. This second time I got a wait time of 40 minutes, it has now been 1 hour, with no response. I even called the facility where my package is (I talked to a employee for shipments, who forwarded me to a manager, otherwise every other extension was unavailable) and they said since I chose shipping for my order, they have to ship it. I told them I could come right now and look for it myself (an exaggeration about how much effort I'd be willing to get my important package) and they said it's too hard to look for individual items even with an order number and even though my item is listed to be shipped today meaning it'd have to be handled at least once.
At this point I can't get my package tonight, only reason why I am still on the phone waiting for someone to talk to is because ALONG with my item came a digital download (separate item). It says after 1 hour of the order, I'd be emailed instructions, have not gotten any. It says allow for a MAXIMUM of 48 hours. It has been 4 days now, still no email about my digital download.
I think I figured out why my physical item is going to take "3 days" to deliver even though it's only 1 hour away. It's because their facility is completely closed Saturday and Sunday? Doesn't seem that efficient for a warehouse. But anyways, I cannot fathom why my digital download is still awaiting to be "packaged" and it has taken more than 96 hours for my digital download to be emailed to me.
Literally EVERYTHING after I clicked buy at Newegg has been a HUGE letdown. I would never recommend to ANYONE to buy from this website. Normally I'd think it's an outlier situation, but I see other reviews on so many websites that resonate exactly how I was treated. I am a very calm person and forgiving person, ESPECIALLY when it comes to customer service, but not when there IS NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. It shouldn't take 3 hours for me to get into contact with someone. There are 3 options to contact customer service on their website, I did ALL 3 and none were available to me. Since 4 pm EST, it has said that I cannot schedule a phone call with Newegg, and so I did the 4th option of calling them myself to no avail.
Thank God, I only ordered one item from Newegg. I could forgive Newegg if they at least talked to me before I wrote this. I gave them SO MANY CHANCES, to fix this. The fact that employees at the facility made it feel like it was MY FAULT for choosing the item to be SHIPPED to me as the reason for all my troubles is telling enough. If the website had ACCURATE information regarding their process times and Shipping policies, then I wouldn't be writing here and I'd also take my business elsewhere, very misleading. My physical item says that it was Labeled for shipping at 2 pm est in NJ. But since it's closed Saturday and Sunday, it won't ship until Monday... That makes no sense. They have no outbound shipping north of their facility with FedEx after 2 pm? Honestly, wish I could give a 0 star at the moment.

First, the computer arrived damaged. It took waiting on hold for 40 minutes to talk to someone at Newegg in order for me to order a replacement. It took three weeks to receive the replacement. It turns out that the replacement was very clearly an open-box, used computer. It took an hour on the phone after half an hour of waiting to get a return issued for the used computer. I was told FedEx would be picking it up. A week later, FedEx still hadn't even been notified by Newegg. I spent half an hour waiting on the phone and then chose the option to have Newegg call me back when a representative is free.
It took three hours for Newegg to call, then the rep said she'd transfer me to the returns department. Another half hour wait on the phone. What was the point of that call back option??? Newegg refused to give me a shipping label so that I can send the return back. I have to wait until next week for FedEx to come. Then, I'll have to spend another hour of my time to call Newegg again once I get refunded in order to get refunded the rest of my money for the expense of the "free" gift that came with the computer. Wow. The worst customer service experience I have ever had with a retailer. Horrible chance of getting your item received in one piece and in new condition, and their customer service is next to impossible to contact. I will never be ordering from Newegg again.

I never write reviews on anything but Newegg deserves all the negative feedback that can be given. I purchased a laptop listed at a sale price for Black Friday from another seller through Newegg. When I received the laptop it was a completely different model (and significantly lesser quality). I contacted customer service and returned the product, while on the phone they offered to ship me the computer I ordered but this time through Newegg as the seller. It was a bit more expensive and they gave me a minor discount but I agreed. Again I received the same wrong computer. Again they said to return it for a refund.
At this point I had wasted over 10 hours of my time on the phone with them (their estimated wait times to speak to a representative were misleading and lengthy) and paid for two expensive laptops without receiving a refund and they AGAIN asked if I wanted to purchase a different laptop with similar specs. I declined and asked for a refund.
Eventually the first refund was issued.They received my second return on 12/10/18. I called back on 12/28/18 to tell them that the second refund hadn't been issued and the service rep said it would be expedited. Another week has passed and I called back today. This rep said my return was never closed and the refund couldn't be issued until it was closed. He vowed to have his supervisor speak with the department dealing with returns and call me back when it is closed.
I am, in most cases, a calm and patient person but the experience Newegg gave me was emotionally and mentally draining. Their customer service people did a terrible job of having any kind of coherent notes on my case (I had spoken with many different reps). When I would bring up my order number to a new rep I had to repeat my ever lengthening list of issues that had been unresolved. It wasn't until I realized they weren't taking notes that I eventually requested they did. Thankfully I took my own notes with each call so I could recite them to the next person I'd inevitably have to call due to their complete incompetence. Their consolation for me wasting my valuable time before work and spending close to $2000 without receiving the product I ordered was a $10 gift card that I will not be using. There was even more that added to the stress of dealing with them but I can't recall all of it.

I work at a major mining company that is trying to find new tech vendors, so we placed one order with Newegg for nearly 20k. They shipped about half of it then suspended the account for no reason. So I had accounting create a Net 30 business account with them and re-ordered the stuff that was cancelled. Newegg will not release the account suspension even though we now have a verified business account.
A couple weeks pass and we put through several more orders only to find out that one of the monitors they shipped from the first order is defective. Newegg will not take the return because the account is suspended but they will not re-activate the account because no one there knows why the account was suspended. Have wasted several hours trying to get the mess sorted out though in the end we decided to eat the cost of the defective monitor and stop doing any business with Newegg. They lost out on several hundred thousand dollars a year in business because of ridiculous anti-customer policies and completely inept staff.

I tried to return an item I bought as a Christmas present for my daughter with no luck. With holiday hours in mind, I called 5 days after she received the gift and they told me I was UNABLE to return the $400 brand new drawing tablet. There is nothing wrong with the item, just too advanced for my daughter which was all explained to the customer support person I spoke to. I was kept on hold for approximately 10 minutes only to be told there was absolutely nothing they were willing to do for me. Be forewarned, do not use this company. Especially for purchasing Christmas gifts as you will not be able to return items. Very disappointing experience and ridiculous policies circled around the holidays. I will make sure I spread the word to never use this company!!

After ordering a 65" TV that said it would be delivered the next week, it finally got here... 6 weeks later. Newegg uses AIT Worldwide for their big shipments and they are the most incompetent company I've ever had experienced. Their tracking system gives you no indication of where the package is or when it will be delivered. Then they claimed that I called and rejected the delivery prior to calling asking where it was on the estimated delivery date. Then I got an email saying that it was delivered. Well... it was delivered back to Newegg in LA. It took another 3 weeks to actually deliver.
To put the icing on the cake, they missed their 4 hour delivery window by 2 hours. I had arranged someone to receive the package, so they sat around twiddling their thumbs for 6 hours waiting for someone to show up. This was without any notice. I had to call to see where they were. From the reviews it looks like people are pleased with Newegg but if it's a big item and they use AIT, I recommend paying more money. It'll save you so many headaches that are well worth the price difference. Never buying from this company again, what a NIGHTMARE!

The 5G Adaptor I received did not increase the speed of my laptop. I contacted Newegg for a refund. I am now making my third attempt to receive a shipping label. Meantime, every time I am assured by Newegg that a refund will be issued, Axe-Tech contacts me asking what the problem is, which I have already explained multiple times. Apparently Axe-Tech doesn't want to issue a refund and there is no communication or meeting of the minds between Newegg and Axe-Tech. Horrible! I am contacting my credit card to dispute the charge. Don't use Newegg!!!

Due to a glitch in this system they delivered the parcel to the wrong address, no worries as we knew the people who lived there anyways except for the fact they just left a 1000$ laptop on the porch without any signature requirement which of course subsequently was stolen. After a 2 month runaround where we had to even file a police report they said there is nothing they will do. Filed a chargeback and will be posting negative reviews on all platforms due to the poor treatment I received, buyer beware.

Newegg is the WORST online company I have ever had the displeasure of working with. Do NOT use them unless you want to be drastically frustrated, disappointed, and out a lot of money. I ordered a $2300 product only to be told by a computer generated algorithm that it's "Ineligible for Return". I've called, left messages, sent emails, tried to use their chat system, only to get the message that their phone lines are down and are unable to speak with anyone. ** this company!

My wife ordered a Black Ops 4 edition PlayStation 4 for our child on Black Friday. It took a week to get to our home. We open the package to find that they sent a mystery box of some kind with no gaming console. After we made the complaint to Newegg.com and being on the phone for hours, they refused to give our money back and then changed the description online of the item we had purchased. My child did not have a Christmas present under the tree this year because of this company! I am reporting this to the BBB as well as contacting my lawyer now. This is the worst experience I've ever had online with a company!

Placed my order on 11/29 and received an email stating that the product shipped on 12/01. After not receiving product 3 weeks after it was supposedly shipped, I contacted Newegg. I was advised that I needed to contact Ruian - the third party seller. Ruian requested I contacted USPS to check on the status. USPS advised that they never received the package for shipment and that only a label was created for shipment. I advised Ruian of the response from USPS, at which time I receive the same exact email 3 times (12/23, 12/24, 12/25) from Ruian that stated: "Hi, your order still on the way, maybe in your country, can you go to local post office to ask? This is the tracking number **, you can track in 17, hope you can understand, thanks."
Called Newegg again (12/26) and requested a refund since product was not shipped. I was again referred to the third party seller and they said that they will contact Ruian to request a refund and that I should receive an email from them. I have not heard from them since - only getting the runaround. Buyer beware - I will NOT EVER order from this company again!

Bought a gaming monitor during Black Friday sale on newegg.com as a Christmas gift for my son. On Christmas Eve I attached the monitor to our system and found that it did not work. I contacted Samsung support to confirm the monitor was defective. They said I had the option of returning to seller for replacement or they could fix. I decided on sending the unit back to Newegg for a replacement. I filled out their form online specifically noting that I wanted a replacement and not a refund. They obviously do not have any controls in place because a unit was not reserved for my replacement at that time.
I get an email today 12/28 that the unit was received and another email saying they confirmed the unit was defective. A short time later I get another email saying the unit is out of stock and they are refunding me for the monitor. Since this was a sale item it is much more expensive so this is going to cost me money. I request my unit back within the hour and I'm told that the unit has already been shipped to the Samsung so that Newegg can recover its costs. The moment to determine if you can replace a unit is when a customer is submitting a return slip online, not after the unit is shipped to them.
I really don't think it was an accident that Black Friday sale items are not in stock just after Christmas, they know the returns are coming at some percentage, better to just say out of stock and refund a lower amount rather than replace the unit at a higher current cost. They basically changed the terms on me during the return transaction and stole my monitor, one they can have fixed and sell and a higher cost than they refunded to me. They are gaming the system and hammering a customer.

Very disappointed. I decided to assemble a computer and ordered all parts in Newegg. All ordered items were correct, except RAM. I ordered CORSAIR Vengeance LPX 32GB DDR4 3200, but I received CORSAIR Vengeance LP. The box was correct, but someone has substituted the content of the box and put there way more cheaper piece of hardware which has completely different specifications. It wasn't even compatible with my motherboard. Shortly after I received this wrong Item I created RMA number and sent them wrong item back for a replacement with a letter which describes what exactly is wrong.
Three weeks after (all this time I was not able to use my computer without RAM) I received a letter from them stating that "Reason for return could not be confirmed, the unit matches specifications and model number for the item listed on the Corsair's website. In this case, this item is correct." which is a complete LIE. I tried to call to them, but it was impossible to reach a representative. I tried to call two times, each of which I spent one hour waiting in a queue for a representative. I decided to try live chat, but my position in queue was 828.
After two hours of waiting my position was 617 in a queue. Finally, I sent them an email to rmainspect@newegg.com 21 days ago, still no response. NewEgg has sent me wrong item back. It took 24 days to receive it back. So, if they would replace wrong item to a correct one, I would wait almost a month for the replacement. Moreover, they put it in an envelope, not in the box which is why when I opened a box plastic case was broken. It was an act of pure SCAM from Newegg.

I have been shopping with Newegg since 2012. My friends have had terrible experiences with their shipping department. I have had terrible problems with Newegg. My problems and my friends problems would not exist if they were able to provide store pickup for anything we shipped. Back in 2015 I started my shipping complaints with support. In 2018 I spoke directly to lead customer support and they told me that it's against Newegg policy to do that. Pawning off all liability to the customer and the shipping company. Newegg cannot and will not meet the clients needs or protect them against fraud in what appears to be any circumstance.
Electronics are extremely delicate. The more times they are handled the more chances of receiving dead on arrival equipment. Then, you have to wait months for compensation. Dealing directly with the manufacturer support. Trying to determine if you messed things up or, if it was broken in shipping. This is extremely disheartening for me. I just paid 55 usd to ship an item next day on Wednesday at 6pm to have it still not here by Friday morning. I even paid an extra 3 dollars for expedited services. I'm just super frustrated that I paid so much extra money for just super outlandish results.

I have been in the IT business for 30 years and have ordered and built thousands of systems. I ordered a "Complete DIY Kit" for a customer through Newegg. Once assembled I could not get any video out of the built-in HDMI or Display ports. I contact ASUS and they inform me that the AMD chip sold in the bundle was not able to drive the built-in video. I contacted Newegg via chat and pointed this out. While speaking with them I pulled the order and looked up the bundle. The Newegg agent told me that there was a bold disclaimer pointing out that the "bundle" would require a VGA card. I asked "Where is this note?" He said, "on the main page." I told him it was not there as I was looking at the page.
He was silent on the chat for over 20 minutes and once he returned he told me to look again. I looked and it still was nowhere to be found and I pointed that out once again. He left the chat for about another 20 minutes and once he returned he told me to refresh my browser and look again. Then there was a large disclaimer stating this bundle would require a VGA card. Are you freaking kidding me? I told the agent I would be filing a complaint with the attorney general of their state and he disconnected the chat. In all my days I have never seen a company do something so blatant. I will never do business with them again. I just wonder how many poor souls bought this item for Christmas only to find out it is not what was advertised.

I ordered a boxed gaming computer for my son and it was to come with game downloads that I did not receive. I called Newegg and they said they were out of the download. They did say that I can purchase the same boxed gaming computer as there is a different computer download they can offer me. Rather than crediting me and charging me to do this, they had to physically send me another computer and return the one I have. A hassle given I already put software on it.
Anyway, when the new computer arrived it did not work. The fan was not operating and the computer was extremely hot. I had to return it and they had to send me another one. Problem is that they are not accepting the return as they are stating it is damaged. Somehow during the shipping process the leg of the computer was damaged. I packed it the same way it came. To this point they are not providing me a new computer or a return. It is the holiday season and they can care less. It looks as though I will need to take this to social media and small claims court if they do not resolve this.

I ordered a new monitor from for Black Friday. After taking over a week to ship my item it came damaged. I immediately created an RMA and sent back the next morning specifically asking for a replacement and NOT a refund because I needed a new monitor. After taking another week and a half to process, I get an email that just says refunded.
Now I specifically asked for a replacement and the refund email stated it was no longer available. So I log on to the website and what do you know, it’s definitely still available but at a higher price. You can buy it but for another $50. They refunded me specifically because they didn’t want to hold to their original Black Friday sale price and wanted to force me to pay another $50. Horrible customer experience and service. In this day and age of digital sales, customer experience dictates everything, and this was the worst online retailer experience I’ve ever had despite being a customer of theirs for years.

Original Review: I placed my order on 11/21/2018 then I cancel the order second day. After one month it's completed but still did not get my refund back. They picked call after 1 hour in line. So many time I called them but have same response your refund in process. Please don't buy anything from this fraud company.

I ordered a keyboard for my son on 12/10/18. On 12/14/18 I get a tracking number. On 12/18 I decide to check status, says it is being "packaged". I call NewEgg, they tell me it is from a third party in China and they have no status other than it is being packaged. I ask to cancel order, they say they cannot cancel the order because it has a "Tracking Number". I read online that many people never receive packages from these third party. I am taking it up with my bank. Customer service was not helpful at all, despite they are the ones that are selling the item, that charged money from my CC, they say they aren't responsible for anything.

Listen, I really don't wanna spend too much time on this, as I already ditched you. Ok, in short: you used to be cheap with great products, you used to honor purchases, and cut my refund as you sent me a supposedly NEW laptop but didn't wanna replace it, you send out merchandise that I cannot possibly receive as you require me to be home for a required signature, yet, you will not let me have a time of delivery, no choice of what day it is delivered, no chance of a message to the truck driver for a desired time, I called Newegg.com as Fedex said they are the ones who puts all these restrictions on the delivery, I literally had to stay home for a whole day, to make sure I got the laptop for my client. You understand people work? They would not leave a note that I could sign to get my delivery... Newegg said so. After 1 hour waiting for newegg to pickup the phone I gave up. I bolted out of work and luckily I arrived 10 min before the delivery.
The box was fine, the internal box was fine, laptop looked good and well, the screen was completely shattered. Not a third party seller. Check your merchandise before you ship newegg!!! This was sold as New Laptop, not refurbished. I shipped it back and after 6 days they said they would send me a new one... After another 3 days, they had changed my replacement with a partial refund....and they wouldn't honor my black Friday original purchase price, so, well I had to spend another app. $280 for the same laptop. I have been with newegg for many many years. I have a computer business, and have always checked newegg, when ordering parts and computers. I'm just not happy anymore with this, and I'll talk to all my clients and let them know what treatment I have had and my experience with newegg. Used to love you guys....
Whenever I ordered from Amazon, and had a need for a return, they ship my replacement immediately, and let me know that they will charge me if they don't receive the return item in a specific period. If I had purchased from amazon I would have my client handled by now....and, they deliver on Sundays. I ordered my laptop from amazon late Friday night and got a guaranteed delivery on Sunday.... That's service!!!! Took me 10 days of newegg to decide if I mattered or not.... Newegg.com....you got work to do!!!

Bought a gaming laptop from their site, was refurbished but in the end paid close to $1000. 11 days before Christmas I open it to set it up so my son will have it ready to go, can't get past the setup screen as the screen keeps going black. Contact customer service, after a lengthy chat they tell me it is non-refundable as it was refurbished. They request my information to release to vendor so the vendor can take it back. I now have to buy another laptop for Christmas as they say it will take 3-7 business days to resolve this internal ticket. How can a company sell something, ship it in a box with their name on it but then refuse to refund my money when the product is defective. Never using them again.

My experience with Newegg has been negative. I ordered 3 headsets, none of them worked. You can’t email them and the chat function told me that I was number 132 in line. There is a text option, but both times I tried it I was informed that it wasn’t working after I carefully wrote out all my information. I called and they called me back after 30 minutes. I had to give the rep my order number even though I had entered it when I initiated the call. I was told to return the headsets and a label was sent to me. The paperwork with the label said I was returning one item at $8.99 even though my invoice clearly states that I purchased 3 at $9.99 each. Simply pressing “print” for the return label created a disjointed 3 page document, I had to work to reformat it. And then the return label is for FedEx, I had to search for a location and found that the nearest one is 8 miles from my house.

On 11/23/18 I ordered the much sought after Berry Blue PS4 Game Controller for $49.99 (selling everywhere else for $65), received order confirmation right away. 2 days later received an email showing the charge to my card. In that email is said shipping was 4-7 business days. It's a Christmas gift so that was fine. I also chose a Walgreen's delivery location FROM THEIR WEBSITE so my son wouldn't see it. On 12/2/18 I received email below.
"Thank you for shopping at Newegg. Unfortunately, we encountered a problem when trying to ship your order. There may be an error in one of the address fields. It is also possible that your ZIP code was entered incorrectly or possibly that shipping carrier cannot provide service to your current shipping address or ZIP code. Here are some other common causes for a shipping error:
"Typo in the shipping address fields - City, State or ZIP code. Wrong City, State or ZIP - one or more of these do not match the others. Shipping carrier does not provide service to the area you want your order shipped to. Shipping carrier determines that your ZIP code belongs to a P.O. Box type area which they cannot service. At this point, you will be refunded to your original method of payment. Please feel free to use our Newegg Address Manager function to check your shipping information. This may help solve the current and any future shipping problem."
How could there be a shipping error if all MY info was correct and the delivery location was one of their options? I feel they returned my order for the $49.99 so they could sell it for the $65 their website showed at the time. Now they have it on sale for $59. I did get my money back but not a good first time experience and probably will not buy from them again. 0/10 stars.

Ordering from Newegg Business was an absolute headache. I ordered a processor from them on November 27th. I received a notification that the shipping label was created the next day. For the next several days, no updates to the shipping status. I finally got curious as to what was going on and called them on Monday to figure it out. As it turns out, the shipping label must have gotten lost because the product never shipped! If I wouldn't have called, I probably would never receive the product that my credit card had already been charged for!
They did finally ship it, but I still have yet to receive it! No offer to next day it to me or anything after they completely dropped the ball. As of today I have been waiting 10 days for this processor, and the wait continues. I ordered parts on the same day from OutletPC, which also has a warehouse in California and received the parts in two days. I now have a fully built PC that I cannot use. I will NEVER, EVER order from Newegg Business or Newegg again after being a customer of theirs since the nineties.

I just purchased the MSI GP73 Leopard-014 17.3" 120 Hz FHD GTX 1060 6 GB VRAM i7-8750H 16 GB Memory 256GB SSD 1TB HDD Windows 10 Home 64-Bit GAMING LAPTOP. And I find out it can't play Assassin's Creed Odyssey or Assassin's Creed Origins, because it doesn't have enough processing power. It is a good laptop for running multiple applications at once, but it is useless to me as a gaming laptop.
I trusted Newegg when it said this would work as a gaming laptop. Now I have a brand new computer that cost $1,700 and doesn't play games. And Newegg is going to charge almost $200 as a restocking fee! That is inexcusable. Meanwhile, I will lose income while I am again without a laptop for work. This is an incredible amount of hassle and cost. I am deeply, deeply disappointed. I am waiting to talk to someone at Newegg. I really believed Newegg was a better company than this.

Purchased a $950 laptop on Cyber Monday 11/26 and it showed delivery on Dec 2 or 3... They now ESTIMATE on the 8th?? On the 4th their customer service said on the 5th or 6th... Didn't happen. They say they take 1 to 3 days to actually process... and then FedEx let it sit for 3 days in same location. I will not buy from them again. Used to buy a lot from them. 11 days since order and still waiting on what was advertised as 5 to 7 days shipping.

It is not the 1st time that I order from Newegg but it seems I've been lucky all the time. I order 2 "refurbished phone" but one does not even charge. This time I have tried to contact their customer support, without having anybody calling, texting, chatting back. I have tried several days (1 week) in a row and at different times very early or very late. Tried also to contact the partner Sold by "Vius" which never answer the phone emails. Finally got really annoyed and decided to make this review.

Horrible! Over many years I have spent thousands of dollars at Newegg, mostly on computer components and cases for numerous PC builds. They used to be a great outfit, with good deals and great customer service, but not anymore. I recently ordered a product which resulted in me receiving a "Newegg Promotional Gift Card" in my email which was supposed to be able to be used towards a later purchase.
When making that purchase 2 weeks later, there was no place where to apply the gift card when checking out. I checked the self-help section that said it was to be entered at the upper portion of the checkout screen, but there was NOT any such place, either on the shopping cart screen or the "Final Checkout" screen to apply the credit. I looked many times and very closely, but there was NO such place. So after calling Newegg and being told my wait time would be close to an hour, I used their texting help method which immediately acknowledged my message and told me that someone would be back to me within a few minutes.
After 2 days without a response, I decided to call again and was told my wait time would be 9-15 minutes. So after holding for 38 minutes, I finally got a rep who couldn't help me and put me on hold to talk to someone else. My phone then disconnected the call. At this point, I give up, and am canceling my current order of nearly $200 in my cart and will never go back there again. It has a bad smell now. Something creepy has happened there and it's now just another place to avoid. I'm really sorry to see it end this way.

Placed an order on Cyber Monday for a Dyson V6 vacuum. They told me my order was rejected because my billing address did not match my credit card billing address. I called the credit card company and they said that the charge was approved. I called Newegg back and after 3 hours of waiting for a call back I received notification that when you use a PO Box you have to spell out the word box even though it is not that way with my credit card company. After my order was confirmed I received an additional email from them a week later saying my order has been cancelled by Dyson the manufacturer. I then called Dyson and was informed that Newegg had actually cancelled the order and they couldn't tell me the reason why and I should go back to Newegg. I went back to Newegg and again got to sit on hold for 45 minutes after being told it would be 5 to 11 minutes.
The customer service agent told me that it was canceled by Dyson because they were out of stock. I related to her that I had spoken with Dyson and they said that Newegg had plenty of stock. The representative told me she would contact Dyson and see what she could do. After being on hold again for 10 to 15 minutes she came back on and told me that they have plenty of stock but they could no longer honor the price that was given on Cyber Monday. End result I ordered it, they charged my credit card and then they did not follow through with their advertisement nor would they honor the price from Cyber Tuesday. They now wanted an additional 50 to $70 more for the item. This is my first and only experience with this company and they should be called Bad Egg not Newegg. Hours on the phone terrible customer service, shop somewhere else with a more reliable company. If the price is too good to be true it usually means there's something wrong.

I received an empty package, my 128 go USB was not inside, nothing was. I tried calling and automated system said I would have an 11 to 17 minute wait. I waited 30 minutes and finally gave up. I tried the SMS Text system and it said it was not available now. I tried for a live chat and it said I was Number 267 in line to be helped. This company should be shut down for deceiving customers and committing fraud.

I ordered a microphone on this website and never received it. I was never updated on my purchases or shipping status. Honestly save the trouble and spend a few more dollars shopping on a less shady website. Also, immediately after I made my purchase it took me to a window telling me to sign into my bank account in an obviously scammy way. I instantly regretted making a purchase from a website that would let that happen and has probably led to other people getting their information stolen. Definitely a 0/10 experience.

Ordered tires for my work trailer on 11/20. Week later I emailed to find out that my order was canceled and would receive refund. Week later I emailed and called numerical times to find my refund. Newegg blamed Mega Auto Parts and they blamed Newegg. After being on the phone and hold for an hour and a half I was told by Newegg that I would receive my money in 3-5 days. Both Newegg and Mega Auto Parts customer service were rude and acted as if I was wrong somehow??? Get it together guys!!! For your own sake!!! Never again for me!!!

Hello, on 11/26/2018 I purchased some items to build a computer for my little brother. I have 5 out of 6 items in my order. I am Currently missing the Motherboard. Over the last couple days I have sent texts to a nonexistent Newegg chat, been on hold for hours until past the written hours on the website. I am missing the key component to this computer.

Your credit card statement says $420 for a wrong size video card but after 1.5 hours on hold and another 45 minutes with an agent, you convince them to refund you and only $360 credit appears on your account. It turns out the so-called free game they gave you is determined to be $60 and they subtract it from your refund, even though you didn't really want it. Do you follow? If you have trouble with any aspect of this company's products are you willing to waste an hour on a website where return buttons work for everything except your product? And are you willing to wait another hour to chat to people who aren't there or text folks who don't respond or wait hours while you do all your dishes, make your bed and vacuum until someone says, "Hello can I help you?" Business with Newegg is self-destructive. Were this still the first world, we'd have legal recourse.

I got the wrong product from these guys. I called to get the right product. They said, "Sure thing, FedEx will come get the wrong one tomorrow." We boxed it up (a very complicated process for the item we purchased) and waited a week. We then spent hours on the phone with them while on vacation. They promised it would be fixed. Promised us a $25 gift card and that FedEx would come. Waited longer. FedEx never came. Gift card never came. Called them again. This time they told us the return was never processed and they'd need us to unpack the 150lb box again and take pictures for them. What a waste of time! Now we can't get it back in the box again and don't want to waste our time. Called the credit card company to reverse the charge.
We felt bad and decided to give Newegg another chance. Called them again. Explained the whole situation and the lady said "Let me put you on hold while I look into this." Five seconds into being on hold we get a call from the same lady. Apparently we were in their callback system multiple times. She called to start the process over like we were the next people. When we told her we were already on hold with her she hung up. Another guy called us back immediately. Apparently we were in the system 3 times. Start the explanation process again. He says they need pictures again and offers is a $25 gift card for our trouble. I informed him that since we were already owed one, he should make it $50. He hung up on me. Now I'm stuck with the wrong thing and they're not doing anything about it.
