Purchased 2 phones and 2 lines on their site. Rep deleted 2 phones, cancelled order, recreated. To this day, 2 weeks later they still can't give me my order # or receipt. About 15 attempts to explain the error and get the deal on 2 cellphones were rudely denied. According to the reps that I spoke to I am no longer qualified for that deal because I am not porting any lines. Which is ridiculous because they all admit that they understand that I was misled by one of their reps into this situation, yet I am being denied the deal.

Twice customer support hung up on me over the phone. Once the chat was abandoned, and once Facebook chat was abandoned. My impression so far is that all Cricket reps are capable of doing is saying how sorry they are for me and assuring me that they'll definitely resolve my issue. Until they actually find out that it's more than a simple request and then they just hang up.

Was very pleased with Lewis a customer service manager. Somehow I overlooked the extra five dollars that was charge with the second half of bridge pay and my phone was to be shut off at midnight. I did not know what I was going to do. If that was to happen I would have been charged another 30 dollars. Instead he found a way to give me a one time credit of 5.00 which prevented suspension. Thank you Lewis!!

This review is about all United States based companies that outsource customer service overseas and the poor quality they provide. I've had numerous issues with the customer service carriers I've used over the past few years where all of the customer service is directed to a contractor in the Middle East where the agents barely speak English understand English even less. I can never get any issues with my services resolved and I'm not the only person who has experienced this problem. With the demand for $15 per hour or higher minimum wage more companies will outsource service outside of the United States where people overseas work for pennies on the dollar and the quality of customer service will become ever worse.

Today I had to change my payment due date for Cricket Wireless from June 30, 2019 to July 3, 2019 through the Cricket Wireless Authorized Retailer and in spite of the Middle Eastern Customer Service Agent claiming that he changed the date I received a text message from Cricket Wireless two hours later telling me that the payment due date is still June 30th. Twenty to thirty years ago customer service centers were in the US and I never had these issues and I wish I could return to the 1970's and the 1980's.

I ordered a phone online to finance thru Progressive Leasing. I called both companies the very next day to cancel the order. It was already in transit. Was advised to reject delivery or catch at UPS facility and return to sender. I was told that if it was receive back unopened that the $25 upgrade charge would be credited back. The package was caught in transit and returned to sender. I got confirmation from UPS that the package had been received at their facility. I contacted both parties again as directed by Cricket representative. The rep I spoke with confirmed that it had been received and money would be refunded in 3-5 days. I gave a few extra days still not refunded. Called back and was told it would be 7-10 days longer.

In the mean time my account was drafted for a phone payment. Gave a few extra days and after being transferred 3 times, I ask for a manager. Got a supervisor. She advised that she would look into it and send me a case number via text. Never got it until I gave bad review on a survey. Still not resolved after a month of multiple calls and speaking with multiple people. They keep telling me to call Progressive and I have each time. The last time the Progressive rep told me that I should not be calling them, they are waiting on Cricket to send them an invoice that the phone had been returned. Beyond fed up!!!

I bought a Cricket phone in Ocala, Fl in Aug 2015. I went back the next day to ask questions, they would not help me. On May 18th this year 2019 I went to the Cricket store in Dunnellon Fl. Jose said the phone I bought was discontinued and it was no good. So I bought a flip phone, went back 3 days later and said I didn't buy it only the service so I was out the 50 some dollars. Yesterday I had my phone, the first one looked at and the reason I had a problem with it is that the first jerk that sold me a phone put the wrong email address. All these people do is sell.

I currently use the $30 for 2 gigs of data plan. I suppose the price is fine but the service is straight garbage. For whatever reason, the first month I was able to stream YouTube videos at 480p with no lag or load times. After I hit the data limit I was still able to stream at 144p with zero lag so long as I let it buffer for like 15 seconds. Lo and behold, it's a new month, I have data to spare again but for some reason now I cant even stream 144p without it freezing every 5 seconds. It's worse now than when I had no data! This phone is brand new, I haven't put so much as a single app or photo on it! I'm using it in the same location that I've been using it every day for the previous month! They even have the nerve to count this towards my data usage for the month. This company has been by far the worst ever since its conception and I cant believe my lapse in judgement to go back to them. Avoid cricket like the plague, straight garbage carrier.

On May 10, 2019, I purchased a new $49.99 cell phone from the Cricket store in Marshfield, Wisconsin. Ten days later, I went back to the store because the phone was malfunctioning. The store employees accused me of misusing the phone, which I didn't. They made a temporary "fix" on the phone so I left. I went back on May 23, 2019, because the phone was completely unusable, and the screen had turned red.

All I wanted to do was replace the phone and keep the service. I still had the purchase receipt. Because I hadn't returned the phone six days after I purchased it, I was told that I was out of luck. The fact that it was a manufacturing defect was irrelevant. At this point I was out $50 for the phone; $25 for the activation fee and $55 for the monthly charge. At that point, I decided I was done with the "lower end" cell phone companies. When I switched my service to a new company, the representatives told me that they'd had a customer come in earlier in the day with the exact same complaint about Cricket.

Cricket advertises that the phone has an SD card to increase your storage capabilities. It is true that it contains an SD card slot. It does not increase your storage because Cricket prevents you from moving apps to it. All installed apps must be in your internal storage. This will not force me to spend hundreds more on a better phone. I'd rather pay ANOTHER company the extra cash.

NO STARS DESERVED!! It would not allow me to review w/o rating. No stars should be given to this sham of a provider. I went to a local Cricket store 2421 Grand Concourse Bronx NY 10468 when I finally decided due to lack of sec with my other provider. Manager ** was the one who eagerly and charismatically took care of my concerns. Save yourself the horrible experience of calls breaking up. I have had this phone for 2 days and internet is slow, call drop, people constantly telling me they cannot hear me.

I went back to the store because ** assured me that if anything was wrong with this product which he boasted was the latest 32 gig and 12 mega pix that finger print yada yada was the absolute right choice for me. I went to the store. It was quite a diff story. I was at first told by one assoc that I was out the money spent. I no longer could get any disc or perks because now I was an actual customer that I would have to pay for all exchange costs. Of course I found that to be unacceptable since all that was assured to me with the Alcatel Onyx came to be unfactual.

I even went as far as to say it wasn't ** fault because after all he does not own company or make the device. It's what Cricket put out there and he pushed it and explained its capabilities according to what he was told when he was given the product to sell in store, I was finally put on the phone with manager ** by other manager ** because I felt as a very very new unsatisfied customer that I should not be further inconvenienced and stripped of any new customer perks because the phone was not delivering what was told to me, I in speaking with ** was yelled at. He was irate about my having said to his assoc that he sold me a bad phone when I mentioned several times that he was actually nice and very eager to help.

I also said to assoc I did not mind upgrading service to faster plan and that I did not place blame on him. I simply felt that the product was inferior. ** screamed at me. Said to me that I put my other thru the same thing. He went as far as to yell on top of my trying to explain he was not the same person I saw 2 days prior when buying the phone. I became a little emotional because I could not believe the verbal attack I was under! I could not believe he never apologized or listened to me. He was convinced by whomever called within the store that I was in some way throwing him under the bus which was not true. I stated several times that I thought he simply was doing what he believed was to be true selling a new product and sharing its capabilities.

At this point he yelled and insulted me so much that I knew I no longer wanted to continue service with this company. I have been with Metro PCS for over 5 years, never wrote a review on them, have never been through this with them... I simply no longer felt comfortable with the lack of security on my line. ** went as far as to mock me and state that I was the problem and that no cell provider is going to alert me if someone makes changes on my account. I stated to **, "So mon when you were agreeing with my concerns you were not being truthful with me. You simply wanted the sale really?"

I had enough. I have filed complaint with BBB and am writing a letter to the CEO John Dwyer expressing these occurrences and I have switched to Verizon. Look we are all out here doing the best we can to get by in a much to expensive world, we do not deserve to be treated with such lack of respect and or questionable sales tactics on top of inferior product! Shame on you Cricket for allowing this to happen to your consumers.

I have had nothing but horrible situations with Cricket customer service. This is my most recent incident. I lost one of my phones and decided to cancel that line as my bill was due. I dropped the call in a bad zone for many carriers while traveling. I decided to make a payment but wanted to talk to someone to adjust the account first. I did try dropping the line using the app. No Luck.

The system would not transfer me to anyone. I assumed as it was late, maybe they were closed. The system suggested that I could make a bridge payment, which is apparently a lesser payment. It said to pay $70. I decided to pay $100 instead as that would cover 4 lines. After the payment was made, I again attempted to contact an operator. Still no luck.

I called that week only to find that they can't ti charge me $10 for this bridge payment service. The auto system tells you nothing about this. To me that's fraud. Cricket may be cheaper but they are operating under unscrupulous rules. I spoke with the Spanish operatives who swear they are in the US. I'm a first generation American, but I am sick of companies not having American supervisors on hand to handle conversation when you get an operator that just wants to read you a paper over and over regardless of what you ask.

The supervisor was the same in descent, although his English was better. He did the same thing though. Refused to answer my questions, read his paper, told me they were in the US but couldn't say what city. So now I have to pay extra because they can't cancel the line and they want that extra $10 despite my 2 previous years of auto pay loyalty. I'll be looking at other options. This isn't as bad as when a store rep added his buddy to my account and used the $20 credit I had. Cricket customer service said they would give me a f20 credit for that. That conversation was like pulling teeth as I don't speak Spanish. In the end I got nothing other than finding out the guy got fired.

Hello. I have spoken with numerous representatives and my problem is not solved. I had been unable to use my phone for the last month after switching to the unlimited services through you guys. I had been unable to contact via phone since like I said my phone could not receive incoming or make outgoing calls. It's very displeasing to say the least. I contacted Apple thinking it was a problem on their behalf since I was unable to make phone calls as well. I was going to buy a new phone. On Thursday while at work I was able to use one of my coworker's cell phones to call you guys. I was pleased with my service. The rep I spoke with was able to restart my phone on your end and since that day I have not had any problem with it.

Since finding out that it wasn't a problem on Apple's end I have requested a credit and have been turned down since I never called you guys which makes NO SENSE AT ALL SINCE I HAVE REPEATEDLY SAID I COULD NOT MAKE CALLS!!! I am completely upset with your service. I always recommend you guys to my friends and family. I didn't want to change my phone provider but maybe it's time because this is something I'm paying my money into and my problem to you guys is no big deal.

If I have to I will make a complaint to the BBB and whoever else I can because I don't feel this is fair to me. I've been a loyal customer for years. I was also told there is no way I could send emails to you guys with the information I received from Apple but here I am emailing you now. Your rep told me to go into a store to show my proof. Another rep is telling me that you guys are able to see that I was able to use your service and that is a lie. I had been able to use the internet and barely got text messages. I PAY FOR UNLIMITED SERVICE. I SHOULD BE ABLE TO USE EVERYTHING!! This is horrible. Then after sending this email I'm told it's not a real email address. You guys make more than enough money to have real people help resolve real issues in a more timely manner. Makes no sense at all. I wish I could give 0 stars.

Even if you pay your bill 2 days ahead you don't benefit at all. They will turn your high speed back on when they get around to it. If you and someone else is on same acct make sure you give them a 30 day notice if you want to stop service with them. The other person will have to pay your bill or their service will not continue.

And if wanting to upgrade your ph you're better off getting a ph that's Cricket compatible because with the price you pay for the ph and then a $25 connect fee you're paying more. But if you're a new customer you get a good deal. I think I'd want to make my current customers and bring new ones in. Smart choice. They do provide awesome coverage. I recently switched to Cricket because I was looking for a better phone company. My fiance and I walked into a store in Mentor Oh and I had done my research so I knew exactly what I wanted. We wanted a iPhone 10 and 2 other phones with accessories. During our first visit to the store the young lady who was working took 2 hours after closing to ring up our sale. I have 6 reversals on my credit card because she was not trained properly and had to have her manager on the phone the whole time. While there she would not let allow us to see the phone outside of the box.

Since we were there 2 hours passed close she was rushing us out of the store. When we got home we had to set up our phones by ourselves and the phone case we bought did not fit. After investigating the reason we found that she sold us a iPhone 10r which is different than what we ask for. My fiance did like the phone but needed a case. I went back to the store the next day and the same girl that helped us the night before gave me a instant attitude about how they don't do refunds. (which I was not made aware of)

After asking her how we were suppose to know that the case did not fit because we couldn't see the phone she answered with, "I don't know what to tell you." When I asked to speak with her supervisor she explained that he would say the same thing to me and I responded that I would like to hear that from him. She went to the back of the store and shut the door. When she came back out she handed me a clear case that would not work for my fiance who is a machinist and said this is all we can do for you. I then got on the phone with customer service who assured me that someone from the complaint dept would get back to me in 1 to 2 business days.

After 5 days I called back to customer service because no one had called me and customer service said they might have forgot to call and that I should go back to the store I purchased the case from and speak to a supervisor. This is the worst service I have ever gotten and if I didn't spend all this money I would go to a different company. My problem is still not resolved and no one will help.

About three months into the deployment I received notification on Facebook that my linked cell phone number was canceled.

After looking into it, Cricket canceled my entire account which I've had with them for over five years and recycled my cell phone number which I've had for ten years. Not only did they lie about keeping my account open but they didn't even notify me that they would be canceling my account so I could contact them or reactivate it. After contacting them following the incident, they claimed the number is gone and there is nothing they can do. I have never seen such incompetent and negligent treatment towards a long time customer.

I mistakenly went to this Cricket Authorized Reseller on 8/25 and got charged an extra $32 for the same phone and service I purchased for my wife the week prior at a corp owned Cricket store (8/16). That prior transaction charged $165.87 for the iPhone 6S deal with number port discount. This authorized cricket reseller store charged $197.80 for the same transaction. That's quite a bit of extra profit coming out of our pockets. I asked why it was so different than my previous transaction while there, they provided a nonsensical explanation referencing "that's what it costs" multiple times. I should have walked out right then and not paid for it. Caveat Emptor.

This Cricket Store at 941 Broadway El Cajon CA charged extra $10 for the Sim that comes with the phone that the other Cricket Corp store said they do NOT charge for the sim when you purchase the phone from them, the corp store also only charged tax on $100, the cost of the phone. The 941 Broadway El Cajon CA store charged tax on $400. I called Cricket Customer support and they were of no help. They said the only thing that can be done is to call the cricket authorized seller again. I called them back twice now. So now the store at 941 Broadway El Cajon CA is telling me I can return the phone but they do not refund the $25 activation fee, the $30 service fee and my phone number is already ported in so I cannot get the discount on another phone from Cricket. You just cannot make up stuff like this.

Buyer Beware, I am not sure if the problem is only with the Authorized Resellers but it now seems prudent to only deal with the Cricket Corporate stores of which there are only three around the San Diego area. When I called those stores that total would have been the $165 price. All the rest appear to be independent retailers that seem to be able to charge you whatever they want and there is no recourse for you but to review their pricing practice everywhere you can. The receipt calls out whom I guess actually owns the store: SpaceTel LLC El Cajon.

Canceled the service in 60 days. OH, and the only way to cancel the Cricket service is to just stop paying (wouldn't this put you at risk of Collection??). This is straight from Cricket's website and the Rep's mouth. How **. So long.

Decided to give Cricket a try as it was more affordable than AT&T. A few things they don't tell you are. -When you bring your own Android you can't use wifi calling. Apparently Apple will work but not Android. -My mobile data would be working flawlessly with 2 bars of signal and when I hit dial the bars disappeared and it would not call out. As soon as the call dropped the bars came back. My opinion is this was probably due to the fact that I had brought my own phone. -To refer a friend and get the credit you must bring a code given you by said friend so get the code before heading in to switch or you WILL miss out. The other thing is you have to keep service for 60 days to get the credit. This is probably all in fine print but it would be nice to know up front.

I also had a LOT of dropped calls. I also blame this personally on bringing my own phone as my friends do not seem to have this problem. When I talked to customer service they said there was a tower having issues and it should be better by the next day. This was most definitely not the case. Back with AT&T and problem solved.

I bought a phone from Cricket on 3/14/19, once I got home I wiped off the phone before putting it in the case. There was what looked like a piece of hair on the side. It didn't come off when I wiped the phone so I tried getting it off with my finger, only to find out that it was a crack! I bought a Galaxy S9 for $609. So, I went to return it on 3/15 and was told that I couldn't exchange the phone or get a refund because it was damaged. I explained that it was damaged when I purchased it, as I hadn't even had it for 2 hours when I saw the crack.

So, now I'm stuck with a cracked phone and out of $609. I even called customer service, I asked to speak to a MANAGER, I was transferred to a supervisor, again I asked for a manager. I got Mike, who claimed he was a 2nd level manager, I explained the situation, he was of no assistance. I asked to speak to his manager and he kept saying, "I'm not allowed to transfer you to anyone else, I'm a 2nd level manager." This went on for a while, I eventually hung up. Obviously, I'm not paying another $609 for another phone and they refuse to make it right so I'm stuck with a cracked phone. Their phone plans are cheap but in the end it really isn't worth it.

I've been a Cricket customer for 2 years. I upgraded to a Motorola Cruise 7 months ago, which simply quit charging 8 days ago. I was without a phone for 7 days. Cricket's customer service/warranty programs/insurance program is all about passing the buck. At day 7, I'm at 13 service calls on borrowed phones, 10 hours wasted, 3 trips to a Cricket store an hour away, out 75 dollars as I had to purchase an upgrade phone and pay an activation fee (even though I had warranty and paid for insurance) out of desperation, and it's still not over.

Buyer beware. The Cricket stores and online/phone sales operate separately. No one in the stores knows what's going on, and they do whatever they want and tell you whatever they want and force you to pay whatever they want. Cricket phone customer service will openly tell you that they have nothing to do with the stores, and you're at their mercy if there is a problem with the phones or service you purchased in store. To put it in perspective, I recently purchased a 40,000$ truck in two hours this week,no problems. I also tried to replace a faulty Cricket phone under warranty and with insurance, and 8 days later I'm still in customer service Hell. Good luck.

But when you call and try to pay for it, you refuse to take my money, then you cancel my service and refuse to refund the half month I had already paid for.

Worst Cricket authorized dealer I have ever been to!!! I brought a phone from this establishment today an iPhone. And it was not working so I went back to get the issue resolved. When I walked in the door Kevin was sitting down playing on his phone. I told Kevin the phone that I bought is disabled and before it was disabled Ii was not working. I was not able to dial out, I was not able to receive text messages or send messages. My husband had already called this establishment prior to me arriving he informed them of the issue and asked to see what they could do the lady that answered the phone told him "nothing" he can do, and we have to go to the Apple Store. Mind you we have only had the phone at this point for all of two and a half hours and the phone was brought there not the Apple Store!

So I told Kevin I want to speak to a manager, I am not going through all this trouble for a phone that I just purchased! Kevin kept saying, "Well that's all you can do because we can't help you here (very hesitant to call his manager)." I told Kevin, "Get a manager on the phone I'm done talking to you!" He proceeds to tell me, "Ma'am she is going to tell you the same thing!" He repeated that 3 times before he called someone.

I don't know if it was a manager or not and as he's talking to the person on the phone he is telling them his own story in his own words I continue to ask Kevin give me the phone so I can explain to your manager what's going on, he never gave me the phone or told them the actual issue!!! At this time while he is talking to whoever it is on the phone a young Hispanic girl comes from the back, her name is Jenavee or something like that. She asked, "Kevin is anything wrong?" Kevin says, "No I'm calling Maria right now." So then she proceeded to the back.

While I'm waiting on him to get Maria on the phone the police came in (seriously). I am shocked at this point and pissed at the customer service that has been presented to me. All I wanted was my phone to work or give me a new one or give me my money back so I can take my business elsewhere. I was granted none. I then was issued a trespassing. Mind you I am still a customer of Cricket!!! Instead of Jenavee coming to see what's going on and how can she help the situation she calls the police! Without even knowing what's going on! I have been trying to contact a corporate manager or the franchise manager or some kind of manager over this company and have not been successful.

I will continue this tomorrow because this behavior from employees of a company that I am doing continuous business with is unacceptable. Definitely going to MetroPCS!!! And I'm definitely going to spread the word how horrible their customer service and communication is at this establishment. Not only after all of this has happened I called up there several times to get a manager's name, a corporate number or a franchise number and Kevin continuously answers the phone saying he does not have a number, he does not know a number and if I would like a number for corporate then I can just call the 800 number to get it from customer service instead of him giving me the number. He keeps giving me the runaround.

He only informed me to call PQH Communications when you look that number up it's not even in Texas. I have contacted several Managers from other Cricket locations who have tried to help me one who said they spoke to an Edward and Edward is supposed to call me which he has not yet and it is 6 p.m. This happened at 3 p.m.

I will continue to go to the top with this matter because I was treated very poorly and I will find out who the manager is. At this point I do not want to speak with Maria because Maria has not even tried to reach out to me after she already knew there was an incident at her location. I want to speak to the highest person over this establishment and I will reach them in due time stay away from this location very poor customer service and is ran by very young, dumb, ignorant, condescending individuals they need to work in the back of the house until they learn how to handle customers with complaints.

Just recently I spoke with Maria and she stated that she was going to call manor police dept to get the trespassing lifted. I spoke with her a few days later and she informed me that the manor police dept cannot lift the trespassing after it has been placed I informed her that it was not true and she immediately was defensive and became very angry and hung up on me. I want to speak with someone over Maria who is the store manager.

Description of Complaint: I set up what is known by Cricket as a BridgePay on 2/25/19. At that time I was advised that I could not pay with a debit or credit card because of a chargeback. I understand that. I own that. I had some fraud on my cars and it was an error, but I’ll deal with that. The issue is, the day I set up the BridgePay, I confirmed with their representative multiple times that I could still use a prepaid Cricket wireless card. He continually assured me that it would be fine.

On Monday 3/4/2019, I went and purchased a Cricket Wireless Service Payment Card from Kroger so that I didn’t have to pay the fee they charge to pay in any way other than online. Unfortunately, the card wouldn’t work, so I called into the customer care center where I was repeatedly told there was nothing they could do - though this error was caused by their employee. Then I go into the store with cash yesterday afternoon (Tuesday 3/5/19) and instead of my paying $74 dollars I find out my bill has jumped to $94 because the BridgePay was defaulted.

Once again, because of faulty info from their own employee. I was also forced to pay a $3 fee to pay in store. When I spoke with one of the several agents I spoke with Monday 3/4/19, she offered me a credit, but said that because I was set up on a BridgePay, she could not make the adjustment until the account was active. I deactivated the account Tuesday 3/5/19 and as of today 3/6/2919, I am being denied the credit that I was offered.

Desired Settlement: Billing Adjustment. Desired Outcome Description: I would like the original credit promised, and now that I am having to take matters this far, I’d honestly like a free month of service. My husband has to have his phone for his business, and we likely lost money due to our services being interrupted because of an employee error.

She asked me what I was calling about and asked for the username on the account which I gave her. She told me to give her the number for the account I was calling about and she would just have the username sent as a text to the phone. I already gave her the username but went ahead and gave her the number and explained that it was my step-sons phone and he was at his mothers therefore I wouldn’t know what the texts were.

Now, I also have another account with them which my phone that I called them with is on. Anyway, she said she would go ahead and read it to me then I got a text from them for the username on my account and she started reading out my number and the username for the account. I told her "that isn’t the number I gave you". She told me to go ahead and give her the number again and as I began to give it to her she disconnected! I called back twice and no one would answer! It would be so much easier if the company would have multiple options for changing your password or anything really if you don’t have the phone physically with you.

Why did I give the rep my email when I made the account if I can’t even use it to do something like reset the password myself!? Or even set up an alternative number when they were informed during set up the line I opened up was for a minor! I’ve been with the company off and on for nearly a decade and in recent years every time I or any of the other members on my plan have had to call 99% of the time it’s a drawn out hassle that in my opinion would be fixed with my previous suggestions.

I called customer service on Feb 4 and the rep was an absolute NIGHTMARE!! Argued with me for about 15minutes before I had enough of the nonsense. Got a supervisor on the phone (Angela/Angel Marie) and she was wonderful. I explained to her that I knew it was a problem with the device but couldn’t get to the Apple Store until Saturday, in turn she reset my hotspot and told me if the problem persists call back and the account would be noted to refresh it. Thanks a million because I have to use it for work purposes.

Fast forward to today Feb 7th, I call back because again I get a notification at 3am saying 75% of my hotspot is gone and another at 7am saying 100% is gone. I call them back and the nightmare begins again. They wanna go back and forth with me about turning off data to my phone all together if I’m not using the hotspot that way it’s not being used. Patiently I say if I do that then I won’t be able to use any apps that require data on my phone. The only option I was given repeatedly was pay 10$ and it will gladly be refreshed, I asked at that time can you just add it to my bill because I pay in store for my bill, no card.

My problem is you see the notes but refuse to follow what is notated on the account, so all in all I had to sign on for work at 11am and I can’t do it. I don’t have the car home because my husband is at work so I stay home and work with my 3yo twins and missing work today... Our provider will be changed back to AT&T TODAY when he gets home from work. I’ll pay the extra money to have a company that can actually help in time of need. So I’m gonna pack my 4 lines up and move on. The cheap rates are not worth having to speak with rude reps that you can barely understand. I’ll spend my money elsewhere.

Just moved across the country. My phone broke, was forced to order one online, as the nearest Cricket store is far away. Found what I thought would be a great deal! The website will ONLY ship to your card's billing address, but assures you can change the destination via UPS when you get the tracking number. My billing address is still in my old state, as my bank is actually a local credit union. Seemed safe, so I placed the order, and later reached out to UPS with the # in hand. Apparently it would cost 80$ to get it sent to my current address! Cricket website said nothing about a fee. If it was $5, would have paid $20...

Upset, but still would have paid. $80!? That's as much as the phone was! UPS had a second option of getting it sent to a UPS location near me, but there were security questions and for whatever reason not taking my answers. I never gave any answers to begin with, so it was weird. Their customer service couldn't give any answers. They told me to call Cricket (Cricket opted for customers NOT to be able to request for the package to be returned to sender, they have to call themselves). Cricket told me to call UPS (no we didn't. You gotta call UPS, we can't do that for you). Madness and confusion ensued.

It was delivered across the country and sat there for 3 days at an apartment door, because #1 Cricket dragged their feet until I screamed at them, which didn't make me feel good, #2 UPS takes 2 business days for them to process the return to sender request. In plain sight where anyone could take it. Idk why they couldn't just send it to me! But... Somehow, it was miraculously returned days later. I still needed a phone. So I went to the Cricket store, very long drive... The great deal I was supposed to get, the one that prompted me to but this LG Stylo 3 in the first place (59 down from 169)... Wasn't working. It was full price. I asked the sales guy...

What? I found out buying the phone that was just returned excluded me from the discount (you have to wait 3 months after buying a phone to qualify for discount/sale pricing. The phone I never received started my 90 days again) so I had to pay full price for a phone, no matter what phone I chose. I was So done. So I went to another carrier that very night. Got a free LG Stylo 4. I can't believe how stressful it was, and how everyone kept pointing fingers at someone else to take care of the issue. If the website didn't make it "no big deal" to change addresses, I would have figured out another way. I wish that I had a better experience to tell you about with Cricket Wireless.

Followed Cricket instructions when signing up a friend of mine for Cricket Wireless, the promise being we would each earn a $25 credit. They tell you to wait 60-90 days for the credit to show up, hoping you'll forget about it and not notice. So I put it in my calendar, waited 108 days and neither of us got anything. I called Cricket and all I got was arguments that we must not have followed instructions. I still have the original text message to my friend which has the link which we were told he had to click on in order to sign up, which is what he did.

My friend and I are switching to another provider, and from here on will be recommending to everyone we know NOT to join Cricket. The nice thing about it is there are plenty of other equally priced options out there. You may not realize the full effect of your scam Cricket, but we only need to divert a few friends from becoming customers in order to cost you longterm hundreds, if not thousands of dollars. Multiply this by several thousand customers and you will feel the effect. I hope you remember then all your bad behavior and don't blame the market.

Recommend Cricket their phones or anything about them, they are the worst phone company. I have seen yet for customer service in any form, for any reason they are rude. I'm knowledgeable. Cannot get a supervisor, a manager or even an address or a phone number or an email for their corporate headquarters, you can google and get an address for their corporate headquarters, but that's it, there is no way to get in touch with higher ups in that company to report any kind of a problem, and their equipment is cheap and unreliable.

Absolutely and without exception, I cannot: Pick up package at location, Request pickup after 5pm, Request Saturday Delivery. Most people work until 5pm. Most people have to commute. What sort of ridiculousness is this? So you have a service that most people can't use. You took my money and then purposely set up a system where it is designed for me to fail - and for your service to fail. Then I contact customer service. His solution: "We will reship. My son who is 51 and has Vascular Dementia after 4 strokes, was on his second phone with Cricket. His first phone was cancelled without a word until we went into a store and talked with the reps. They called customer service to discuss why his phone had been turned off and found out that he was involved in a three way conversation, which they tell us is not allowed. Of course no one had ever told us that in the beginning and to my amazement the store people didn't understand themselves. In fact, they said they had never heard of this reason for phone cancellation. After lots of discussion they were able to convince the customer service rep to turn the phone back on. So in that case I bought him a new flip phone and paid the reinstatement charge to bring it back online.

Well a couple of months later his daughters were talking and decided to add their Dad to the call and of course his phone was cancelled again for a three way call which he did not set up. Of course with dementia he didn't know to tell them he couldn't be on the line with them. Now I understand, the Customer Service Rep told the Store Manager Luis that not only are they shutting his phone off, but they are going to file fraud charges against him for some reason neither of us could understand. Needless to say, but we are not going to be using Cricket any further and in fact this has also put AT&T out of any consideration, since they are the parent Company. I find it hard to believe that there is no way to get issues of this nature up to senior management, but if there is I didn't find it.

The Manager of this Store wasn't aware of this rule either and thought it was ridiculous also. My son lives in a Group Home and this is his only contact with his family during the week. It is also the only way his mother and I can communicate doctor appointments, and reminders on a daily basis as his Care Givers. We'll find another carrier and hopefully it will fit his small budget. I normally do not write reviews, but this one needs to be seen by potential buyers. "BE AWARE".

After visiting a Cricket store and getting 3 phones set up for my family, a total cost of $196 I returned to my home to find out not one of those phones had service in my town. I researched extensively prior to making the switch, I was reassured online and in person at the Cricket store that yes indeed there was service in our town, it would not be a problem.

So I called customer service, after over an hour on the phone (good luck getting a hold of a person to begin with) she told me that frankly there is nothing she could do for me and she would put in a "request for more towers in our area in the future." Wait so I spent almost $200 for phones that I was guaranteed would work in my area. Now that I have confirmed they do NOT there is nothing you can do about it?

No, oh and by the way NO REFUNDS. They cannot give me back the money I spent on airtime because it is nonrefundable. So I spent over $50 for each phone for nothing? For the hassle of having to spend even more money to ANOTHER COMPANY to finally get something workable? THANKS A LOT CRICKET WIRELESS!

My phone would play music and you could watch videos with sound but when someone called I couldn't hear them and they couldn't hear me. I went to a Cricket Wireless store (5441-E South 24th St Fort Smith, AR.) to get help. Upon getting to the counter the lady was not being helpful. She gave me a piece of paper and told me to call the number. I laughed. I cannot hear or be heard. She asked if I dropped it in water. I said no and asked to use their phone to call customer service as she was clearly not going to fix the phone for me. I called customer service from the store phone and the guy (Cloudio) couldn't hear me or understand me. I walked away from the counter to the middle of the store and tried to get better signal, could not so I had to raise my voice for Cloudio to understand/hear me.

The lady at the counter, **, was already annoyed with me and when I looked up she was staring at me with a mad face. So, I continued talking to Cloudio and when he said I may be without a phone I informed him that I use my phone for work and I have a kid that I cannot be without my phone. I tapped the counter (in the center of the room, far away from **) as we got through the call and Cloudio asked me to turn my phone off and back on and he would call me in 2 minutes and it should be fixed. I thanked Cloudio and asked to speak with a supervisor. I looked up again and ** was still glaring at me so I asked her what her name was. She said, "** and you can leave the store, I'm calling the police".

See, what happened was she realized I was going to report her for horrible customer service and so she tried to cover her tracks by making it look like I was the bad guy and yelling at her... I was speaking up so Cloudio could understand/hear me. I replied, "you can't call the cops on me." And she began calling them. So, I exited the building and waited for the police outside. While trying to contact someone in charge of this particular store to file a big complaint. The police showed up and wind up taking me to the PD to ask me questions about a no insurance claim (I have my insurance in my car at all times as well as on my phone). They released me an hour later and my mom gave me a ride back to Cricket to pick up my car. This is where I learned that ** had my car towed.

She really tried to make it look like I was the bad guy. After leaving the PD, my cell phone had no LTE or 4G signal for the rest of the day. I can only assume, after calling customer service and finding out there was no outage in my area, that ** shut it off. Maybe so I couldn't find the number to her boss? I've been a Cricket customer for 5 years and have never missed a payment. I've bought 2 iPhones from them and have insurance too. In those 5 years, I've missed service as it's rarely clear and working though. I've also missed customer service as most of the employees are trained like **. Be aggressive and mean and have no worries. Before I left the PD, the officer told me she called and said I was drunk and yelling.

I don't drink or do drugs. I have a daughter, a disabled brother, and a mother with cancer who I provide for. I work 12-14 hour shifts and then do odd jobs for money. So I look tired. I'm certain I was judged for being a little dirty from work and that Ana was trying to cover herself so I didn't file a report against her. I'm contacting legal representation for public humiliation and seeking another phone provider. If this is how they treat me. How will they treat you? Or a better question would be. How have they treated you?

I had a very crappy experience with the Port Charlotte Fl store - have had Cricket for about 3 yrs - always had problems with their app - called many many times - but to no avail. Recently dropped my phone maybe 12" not a hard hit - but cell did stop working and would not accept a charge (I figured it was the battery and thought I'd take it into nearest store for advice - etc). Well they had no idea what was wrong with it - maybe battery - to try Batteries Plus but had no idea if they carried them (!). My sister had given me an extra cell - she just got a brand new one. Asked if they could transfer MY DATA AND SERVICE to that phone - no because it was a Boost (?). Basically they wanted to sell me a new one. They said they would upgrade me to an LG Fortune 2 - blah blah - and transfer my contacts - keep same service and NO $25.00 ACTIVATION FEE.

I asked about any good deals - I was told no... So ended up buying phone for 39.99. I'll be honest I did not notice the "NEW EQUIPMENT UPGRADE FEE - YEAH $25.00. Very rushed though - that night my sister told me I should have gone to Boost - new 300$ phone for transferring service and cheaper monthly fee - So went right back the next am to the Cricket store to return cell - did read their return policy... The guy was very short and rude - told me I would only get about 15 $ back because of a 25$ 'restocking' fee and no getting the 25$ "EQUIPMENT FEE UPGRADE back either - even though I never used it and had it less than 24 hrs - he told me I'd make more $$ selling it MYSELF!!!! Needless to say - I stomped out - went to nearest Boost store. Got a great LG Stylo 4 free and a monthly fee 5$ cheaper...with no late fees (Cricket has a 5$ late fee). My Name is Cynthia **. Let me start off by saying that I’ve been a customer of Cricket since 2005 except for perhaps 3 months where I decided to switch to Verizon and found out quickly that was a mistake. I was a prodigal customer returning to a better service. Well, I still had the phone from Verizon and continued to use it for my Cricket service. I recently dropped my phone and broke the LCD screen. I then purchased a inexpensive Cricket phone (CoolPad) until I could repair my other phone which was a Galaxy Note 5. I was finally able to get my phone repaired and it cost me $200.

On December 28, 2018 at approximately 3:30 pm, I experience the worst customer service ever from an employee at the Cricket Store that goes by the name **, who I later found out was the store manager, here in Baytown at 5165 Garth Rd, Ste 200. I walk into the Cricket store at approximately 3:30 p.m. I informed the employee that I needed to pay my bill and then switch my service back to my Galaxy Note 5 phone. As I was explaining to the first employee what my needs were, another employee walked up and asked could they trade customers. She would help me while he goes and help the customers that just walked in. He assured me that she knew what to do.

After paying my bill, the young lady opened the phone that I had been using to look for the SIM card. She then attempted to open the Galaxy Note 5, while in the process she used her long nails to try and pull out the tray where the SIM card was and broke the little latch completely off. This meant that the SIM card would not stay inside the phone. All three of the employees immediately began to blame the repair shop. This young lady broke the phone right in front of me and they were even trying to convince me that she didn’t as if I was crazy. I called the repair shop on the speakerphone and Ali answered and spoke with them explaining to them that he did not have to remove the SIM card to repair the LCD screen and that the phone was not broken when I picked it up.

At this point things began to escalate because the manager, ** walks out and instead of trying to exercise good customer service skills he did the total opposite. This young man was so rude and disrespectful. I could not believe that he was the actually a manager. He began to tell the other two employees that this wasn’t their problem, they weren’t going to do anything about it and that they should not have even talked to the repair guy. The repair guy was still on phone and could hear everything that was being said to me. I pointed out to the manager that he was very rude and had no customer service skills and that he was absolutely horrible.

At the time I didn’t know that he was the manager and asked to speak to one and little did I know it was him. So, I then wanted to speak to someone in a higher authority. The manager obnoxiously wrote his name on one of the business cards and said for me to call cooperate. The name appeared to be bogus to me and ask if that was really his name. I said, "You wish you were **" and he said to me that he was richer than **. And I said, "Is that why you’re working here because you’re so rich and that warrants you to be rude to customers."

The Manager had the same young lady that broke my phone to tape the pieces from my phone on one of their business cards and wanted me to leave or he would call the police to escort me out. This gesture is so familiar to us ** people. I was furious, I am not the one to use profane language and I didn't, but his disrespect, rudeness and lack of customer service skills almost took me there. But I decided to go through the proper channels and filed a complaint with the corporate office and alert other customers through social media.

His behavior towards me led me to believe that he was discriminating against me because of my race. He spoke to me as if I was nothing or nobody and that my long-time relationship with Cricket didn't matter. I've been a customer since 2005. I can't believe that Cricket would allow someone with such an obnoxious and rude behavior to even work in their place of business. Please think twice before you shop or visit this store. Right now I am still waiting on someone to contact me to address this issue.

Really glad I made the switch and hopefully won't have any issues down the road. Excited to save $350/year on my phone bill.

I've been with Cricket over six years. I've never been able to get more than two bars anywhere I've ever been. I get unlimited internet and I can't half the time even get web pages to pull up because they throttle you back after 8 g's and half the time they claim you have use your hotspot up but I have unlimited internet so when they claim you've use it even with unlimited internet on your phone they cut what internet you use on your phone back to the point that it's hard to even read emails. It takes 10 mins to pull up a link because they have slow you down to next to nothing. Unlimited internet is a joke. There is no such thing with Cricket Wireless and since started to use attached lines they have become even worst and throttle you back. That's what they mean throttle you back to nothing.

You call them, nothing ever gets resolved and they have never ever at any time been able to resolve any of the issues I've had with them. And since they've started using ATT lines their service has faded and so has their support. Quality of the equipment in the phones they sell seem cheap. I've not had one phone last a year yet and not for breakage it software and battery life and they seem to have taken the business practices of AT&T and rob you blind. I pay 70 dollars a month for a service that is far below par. I will be moving to a new service after this month. Can't deal with them no more and will never recommend Cricket to anybody and in fact I will tell them not to waste their money with them. Go to somebody else. Anybody else has got to be better!!!

We are seniors trying to get the best deals on cell phones and I had Cricket Cellular as a carrier. I saw that another carrier had the same coverage but $15 less, thru AARP which I am a member. I tried calling Cricket where I purchase the plan about 9 am, no answer and passed by. The light was not on trying to see if they would match the rate. Since no one there, I went to Target to get the plan. The young lady said, "Wait until later and the phones will kick in or tomorrow morning," so we left with the phones. It was about 3:30 pm and the phones were locked so I chatted with the other carrier and they told me phones were on, call Cricket. I found out that even though they have no contract, you have to wait 6 months from the day you started with them to be able to switch to another carrier, this was unknown to me.

I went to Cricket to see what I could do. The guy that was there said, "You have to wait 2 more months to change, keep paying." We went back to the other carrier and canceled. They told us, "You have to go to Cricket to go back to them," so we went back to Cricket. They even called the owner that was in Miami to see if he would give us a break, he did not. They told us to go back. We had to pay all the installation fees $101.96. We decided to go back to the other carrier and buy new phones which they were $169.58. At this time it was around 8 pm. Almost the whole day back and forth, tired without eating dinner, more debt instead of being better off, and we have to go back today because it was late and all the data information didn't transfer from the phones at the other carrier.

So I went into the store and bought a Samsung Galaxy Halo. I originally wanted a different kind but they were out. The woman was very helpful. The only thing I didn't like is after I paid for the new phone I asked her about the old phone if I just gave it to them or what. It was ONLY THEN that she told me that I could've traded it in for a $20 credit. She then offered free accessories for the new phone that costed $20. Other than that, I'm satisfied. I've never had trouble with the billing or my data. I hope this phone lasts LONGER THAN A YEAR!!

Well he goes online and everything possible keeps him from ordering that phone, call after call to the office and just get the runaround. Well last night he tried again and he gets all the information in and all it does is load, processing your number transfer with a loading sign and yes we tried this on two different phones and both done the same so I know it's the site, not to mention they moved the sale end date to the 3rd now. So first thing this morning I called Cricket and spoke to "Jose" who then reviewed my records and ASSURED me my phone would not be shut off AND also sent me a text saying it was resolved. 3 hours later NO Phone service. Called back and spoke to MANAGER who filed a complaint form but couldn't turn the service on until after the review 5 DAYS for results! No service while this is being disputed AND while traveling out of state! It seems customer service doesn't have a clue. My Cricket phone was not charging correctly so I decided to try another compatible phone. I verified it was compatible with my IMEI number on the Cricket site. I used CHAT to get the new IMEI entered and was told it was fine to use the former AT&T phone on the network. I lost my CHAT connection so called in. The rep helped verify the IMEI and again said it was compatible. I said I only have this one phone in addition to my six lines on another carrier for just tethering to my laptop. All was well. I hung up and switched my SIM card to the other phone. Then I noticed it didn't have the Hotspot feature at all. So within 40 or so minutes later I called to see about it. The second rep said the other phone was not compatible with that Hotspot feature and the website does not show what phones are, that you have to call. She said she could reconnect it for $10.

I said it was working just 45 minutes or less ago and we were only trying this to see if a new phone would work. She said she had to charge to put on any feature. I asked if she could just disconnect the whole line. She seemed not to understand that. I told her I'd just stop by a store, an 80 mile round-trip for me to the nearest one. I was very disappointed in what was otherwise courteous service till that point. I was even willing to brag about the service but the $10 sudden fee with no warning about it, no notice the phone would not accept the feature, was really an insult.

I went into the Poway store but couldn’t walk out with it, since they had to activate the phone then and there, which would cut service to my husband's phone. So I was assured I could pick one up the following Saturday. So I bought the case for the S8 so he would have something to open on his birthday.

We went to the store on his birthday and were informed there were no S8s in stock. Two days later they let us know they will not carry S8s because they want to sell the much more expensive S9. Calling around to several Cricket stores we got the same story. So, plans are being changed as to what phone and what carrier. When we mentioned that, they also refused to take back the unopened S8 case. I would be extremely careful dealing with them.

Decided after a yr. and half to get one with more memory, went into the Laurel Plaza store in Latrobe and told the woman (Kim) what I wanted and she suggested the Alcatel VERSO phone. Took it home. A few hours I found I had several missed calls yet the phone was right beside me. Found out I had lost sound to the phone, took it back the next day. A sales rep could not figure out how to fix it so she exchanged it and sent me on my way. Again same problem. Worked for a bit then No sound and could not send or receive pictures. Took it back the next day. Kim played around with it, said there were a lot of codes and numbers wrong in the phone and "fixed" it. On top of that anyone who called me said I sounded like I was underwater and was breaking up badly and now we have squealing in the phone as well.

I finally called Customer service and explained the problem and when the tech heard the brand of phone he said, “We are getting a lot of complaints about this phone,” and I should take it back to the store. I purchased the phone Oct 4th, exchanged it a second time so now the 7 days are up and the warranty is up. The phone is only 2 weeks old. The rude women at the store could and would NOT do anything to help me. I asked them if I could exchange it for the type of phone I had which was a Samsung, I was told NO and I was told the phone now is worth 10.00 to trade in on another phone, because the Alcatel VERSO was worth 39.00 yet I paid 45.00 for it. I called Customer service again and spoke with someone and told them how rudely I was treated at the store and no one would help me, so I ask to speak to a supervisor who in turn was sooo sorry and filed a complaint with corporate about the Latrobe store and my treatment there.

I asked him if he could authorize it so I could exchange the phone for the Samsung and waive the activation fee. His answer..."My hands are tied and I am not allowed to authorize the transaction.” So I am now out 70.00 dollars. I tried to get corporate's phone number but what I was told was then no one at Cricket had the number and they communicate via email. I would advise anyone to stay the hell away from Cricket 'cause they take your money but they do nothing when a customer has a problem, through no fault of my own I got a garbage phone and was told by Cricket’s Customer Care service that there was nothing they can do. First of all it is impossible to get a straight answer from any of their powerless representatives that have no authority to help you in any way. I was sold an international plan that didn't exist in Europe. When I got there the only way to communicate was through their chat. Spent hours on chat being placated and patronized by their representatives and promised a refund that never materialized. Two weeks spent unable to communicate via phone about my business, and I was on my honeymoon. When I got home no note was made to my account and I had to go through the whole thing again and waste more time. Was also promised a $50 credit for my inconvenience... Ha! I'm sure I will see that when hell freezes over. I've only been with them a few months and nothing but headaches. Will be looking for another provider asap and I suggest you don't put yourself through this aggravation when there are plenty other affordable options.

I decided on their simple cell plan (simple flip phone, $25 talk and text per month). My younger daughter needed something robust and simple. I filled out their online order, was asked whether I want to transfer a number. Sure - I gave my old Virgin Mobile number from the previous simple phone. Finished the order, paid $57 for first month and the simple phone. However, when I received an email asking for the account number of the previous phone, it turned out there wasn't one. No way to transfer, but also no way to back up and change an options to "give me a new number".

I called customer service, was told they could cancel the order, but not reverse the charge on my card! So, I was told to just call back when the phone arrives, and reset the number then. I did. However, I was charged $25 again. Needless to say, that something that should have been super simple cost me 2 hours solid on the phone, plus charges made to my bank account that cannot be simple retrieved. This behavior strikes me as criminal. Do not use this company!

I LOVE how much money we're saving with Cricket over Verizon! We changed in mid-August of this year. Virtually no change in coverage, and all at a better price. BUT... Today I went to make a call and my service was cut off. Yesterday was my billing date, and we paid it automatically. However, just before that happened, I added a feature to my phone (mobile hotspot) that I needed. Cricket back-billed me for the one day (the full price for the month, $10), then tacked it on to this month's bill and said I owed $20.

When calling the company, I told them that if I had an emergency and needed to call 911, I would have been in bad shape. The representative told me that 911 service is never cut off, but I didn't know that! If I had been in an accident and needed emergency services, I would have not used my phone for help because I didn't know this. No text, no call to let me know my service was cut. I pay my bills on time all the time (I'm enrolled in automatic pay!), and to get no notification is poor form, and VERY dangerous for this company. I read an article a few months back that a mobile company just lost a huge lawsuit over this very thing. This is dangerous living, Cricket! You're a breath of fresh air in the wireless world, but you've got to clean this up.

I live in an area where my internet options are limited unless I use a smartphone. I was using my Grand Xmax and a hotspot until Cricket informed me that I needed to upgrade or they would suspend and cancel my account. So I went to their website and saw the ZTE Grand X 4 was marked as hotspot compatible. Instead of buying the phone from them I bought the phone from Walmart for much cheaper. I transferred service to my new phone and upgraded to Cricket's most expensive "unlimited" plan. I went to turn on my hotspot and a message came on the screen that said I needed to pay a monthly fee to unlock that feature.

That was the first I heard about having to pay for the hotspot on top of the regular data plan. Not only did they fail to mention it would cost extra but the amount of data they allow to be used with a hotspot was only 8 gb, which falls well short of "unlimited". Through some digging around I found an alternative solution, a free app that provided its own hotspot independent from the built in hotspot Cricket wanted to charge me for. The app allowed me to use my data from my "unlimited unlimited" plan which, as I explained to Cricket, was the whole purpose of all this upgrading to begin with.

So I was able to salvage my investment for the time being no thanks to Cricket. After a couple months they sent me a warning telling me to sign up to use their hotspot or they would suspend and cancel my service. I was still paying for their "unlimited unlimited" plan so I didn't think it was a just threat considering I pay for unlimited data every month. Who are they to tell me what I can and can't do with it. I don't tell them what they can and can't do with the money I pay them. It's infuriating.

You can't get a refund for unused service because Cricket will dispute it with your credit card company and keep your money for unused service. $170 gone. I changed services because my new phone was not fully compatible with Cricket. I would get two bars and calls wouldn't be clear. Even the sales rep could barely hear what I'm saying. I paid in advance with anticipation of and back to school and having less money in my pocket. I'm fine with paying for service used, but not if you can't get good service. If they don't do refunds then their customer service reps need to be on the same page and let people who call know that. Had I known I would have ride the service out before porting.

We switched from T-Mobile to Cricket Wireless to save money. We don't use a lot of data, so we didn't need an unlimited plan. We used Cricket for years, I don't remember how many, but at least 5. Right after AT&T acquired Cricket Wireless our service degraded severely. We went from having no dropped calls, to having multiple dropped calls PER CALL. It was just not possible to continue using the service. We switched back to T-Mobile (SO MUCH BETTER PHONE SERVICE AND CUSTOMER SERVICE)!

The real disappointment was with Cricket customer service after the switch. They refused to unlock the two Apple iPhones we purchased from the Cricket website. One phone we purchased stopped working almost immediately. We brought it to an Apple store and they replaced it. Cricket claimed that it was not their phone and therefore would not unlock it. We got Apple on the phone with Cricket customer service and Apple explained the situation and they still refused to unlock the phone.

The second phone was only on the paid Cricket plan for two months. Cricket does not tell you when you purchase a phone that it has to be on the plan for six months before it can be unlocked. This is not disclosed at the time of purchase but is a separate policy you have to search for. I asked if they would be willing to unlock the second phone since they refused to unlock the first phone (which was on the paid plan for over two years). They said they should be able to do that, but when we submitted the request they refused. If Cricket were able to provide the service we were paying for we would have stayed with them. Their failure to provide reliable calling and failure to unlock our phones was a major disappointment that cost us hundreds of dollars. Shame on you Cricket.

Cricket Wireless is a scam! They do not have the same service as AT&T. They claim to be the same; however, after you switch and sign the contract that says you accept the service, you find out that when you get home and you have no service, you just gave your money away. Internet scams; yeah you get what you pay for. However, when a service representative states that it’s the same coverage as AT&T, what we currently had, and that we are making a wise decision to switch over to Cricket because the monthly charge is $40 less, they are lying!

We switched, when we returned home, less than 25 miles, and no service. I spent more than 3.5 hours on the phone with Cricket service techs during the next two days. Switched my phone off more than 18 times, only to have them tell me we'll move it up the technician chain. After two days we asked for refund because they couldn’t provide service. You would think they would have said, "Sorry, it’s on us, here's your refund." Nope!!! $150 dollars. Nope! Spoke to 4 service representatives all stating the same thing. I’m not sure I was speaking with anyone in the US. I had to ask them to repeat themselves many times. Granted, this was after 8 pm at night. The last one said, "Why don't you dispute it with your Costco Citi card that you made the purchase with." Great Idea, thank you, you have been most helpful.

Why didn’t I just do that? Clearly a credit company that I do thousands of dollars of business with each year would choose to protect my rights after seeing that I disputed this charge 2 days after I enlisted this business. Hmmm, maybe they don’t care about the customers they have??? Costco Citi Card looks over the information and observes that the store gave me credit for two sim card activations, yes, after two days of no service, but refutes my dispute. Cricket supplies them with their written contract, but they have no integrity and cannot back up their ethical service contract. Costco Citi card gives Cricket the money and notifies me 10 days later of their decision.

This is a great example of predatory gimmicks, Cricket Wireless preys upon us, those who feel like $150 a month is too much for poor cell service, only to find out that you can be misled and guided to pay $$$ for no cell phone service. Why is it that this can happen on a daily basis? Where is the integrity in our salespeople, why is lying so prevalent? How can so many people work for a company that doesn’t have the best interest of their clients? Is it greed or complacency?

They were unable to tell me why the order was canceled, other than they "couldn't verify my information". I told them I had just upgraded my phone two weeks before, and everything was fine then. They told me to place the order again. I did, and it was canceled again. So I tried again, with no luck, to find a real person, and then did the online chat again. They recommended I go to a Cricket store. Thanks a lot Cricket, I'm a disabled vet with no vehicle, and their nearest store is about 60 miles away. Unfortunately I'm stuck with them or AT&T because of my location, but I recommend anyone else, if you have a choice.

Have an LG Fortune works well, but the phones is larger size than I wanted, but needed 16 GIG. This was the best deal. Got the phone for free by switching my number. Have great coverage almost everywhere... Switched on 2/23/2018. I had T-Mobile for voice and text only for $ 25.00 per month. Their lowest prepay plan was $ 50.00 per month. Not going to spend that much for what little data I use. I use about 1.6 GIG per month.

But customer service when you call the 1800 number is not the best. But don't be discouraged if you call the local store near you the customer service is great! It's a wonderful company.

In my case text messages were not going through for certain numbers, changed SIM, swapped devices, used Cricket provided devices and spent numerous hours with support, Cricket kept on blaming the device and was not interested in a resolution. They kept telling me that I need to go to a store, even after telling them numerous times that we had been to the store and have tried swapping SIM with a Cricket device. Time to switch. Hope this incident helps others that are planning to switch to Cricket Wireless, yes it's cheap but there is a reason too. Service is horrible and basic functionality does not work.

I was formerly on AT&T and was able to reliably make and receive calls with very few issues. But AT&T was too expensive and I read that Cricket uses the same towers so figured I could switch to their service and save money with one of their pre-paid plans. After signing up with Cricket, bringing my own unlocked iPhone, and having my number ported over, when I got home, I discovered that I couldn't get a strong enough signal to make or receive calls from my house. Additionally, although I could send text messages, I could not receive the replies people were sending. I tested this with coworkers to confirm that was happening. I also was no longer able to stream Spotify.

I contacted Cricket customer service through their website and their support person tried to help me via their chat program by taking several troubleshooting measures and ultimately "refreshing my network". But, unfortunately, that did absolutely nothing to improve my reception. Cricket's coverage map reports being good to excellent in my area which is definitely false as I began to lose the signal even when blocks away from my house. While they're supposed to be using the same towers as AT&T, there is obviously a big difference as I could easily make and receive calls from my house with AT&T prior to the switch and could not at all once I went to Cricket. So anyone switching who expects the same reliability from Cricket as AT&T will be very disappointed.

As I don't have a landline and live alone, it's absolutely imperative that I have a working cell phone in case of emergencies. So once I saw that Cricket's tech support couldn't help me with my issue, I was forced to switch carriers again after only 4 days on Cricket. I'm now on a different discount carrier that uses a different network and my reception is much better so the problem was definitely with Cricket.

Aside from the fact that their offering is inferior, at least in my area, my primary complaint is with their policy of not issuing me any kind of refund whatsoever. I paid in advance for a full month of wireless service. I was never able to successfully use their network from my home. Although there is no contract, there is an implied understanding on the part of both parties when any agreement is entered into. I agree to pay them for cell service; they agree to deliver cell service -- not the concept of cell service, not the rumor of cell service, not the belief in the existence of cell service -- but actual, usable, cell service. That didn't happen and therefore, they didn't hold up their end of the bargain. I went into the Cricket store where I signed up and was told -- quite dismissively and disrespectfully -- that there's no way I'm getting any sort of refund for the unused days.

I understand that I legitimately should be billed for the 4 miserable, frustrating, and ultimately worthless days I was still on their network, but their service never worked for me, they didn't deliver what they promised, and I absolutely had to leave their network at the earliest opportunity. There should be some accommodation, if not a law, that protects consumers when the company can't deliver on what they promised even if it's a pre-paid plan.

It's not like they let you try it out first to see if it's going to work where you live. And, if they're truly using AT&T's towers, there's no reason you'd expect it not to work when it always did previously. Bottom line is, if it doesn't work, you should get a refund. So, I'm writing this to at least make others aware to avoid this company. Cricket may have a policy of no refunds even in the face of unacceptably bad service but I have a policy of making sure that companies who treat consumers that way are called out on it.

I recently purchased a Cricket SIM card and am attempting to transfer my number from my old wireless provider (Metro PCS) to Cricket. I have been working on this for three days now... Day 1 - I purchased the Cricket BYOD SIM Kit and installed the SIM in my unlocked GSM phone with no problems, the SIM was immediately recognized by my phone, and I received an automated welcome message from Cricket. I went to the Cricket website and input the information they asked for in order to activate my phone and port my old number to my phone. This is going to be easy I thought... WRONG!

Day 2 - Still waiting for my number to port so, I checked the order number in their "Tracking System" and got a vague message saying my request to port my number had been "delayed". I checked back several times over the course of the day and evening and still got the same vague message simply stating that my request had been "delayed".

Day 3 - Still no number port and my phone still not working so, I found the Chat window on their Support page and explained my problem to "Ralph". After providing Ralph with my order number and some other info he requested, he told me that my Port Request had failed and that he would need to cancel my request and have me put in a new request. This was followed by another message from Ralph that said he was unable to cancel my request at that time and I should try back in a "few hours".

So... I waited a few hours til after lunch and tried their Chat window again. Amazingly, "Ralph" answered my chat request again. Once again I went through the same series of questions with him and provided him my Order Number. His response? He is still unable to cancel my failed request and I won't be able to enter another request until the current failed request has been cancelled... His final message to me before I signed off the chat window was "I request you to raise another Port Request". I would recommend that you stay away from this prepaid wireless provider.

Went back to Cricket Dealer on Route 6, Scranton, they stated there was nothing they could do, that I had to call LG warranty department. The manager on duty even denied the fact that batteries have expiration dates, that I had to call LG.

Check 2 of the other phones, they also had either a Nov. or Dec. expiration date. (My brother-in-law has the 4th phone so I could not check that expiration date). Called customer service, all they would do is file a complaint against the store. Asked for a refund for the line I cannot use, was informed that service is nonrefundable. Went online to Cricket customer service chat, was informed that this is an issue with the store. There is nothing they could do to help. Upon trying to complete my order for a new phone, phone number port, and service, my CitiCard fraud prevention sent me a text. I confirmed that the charge was intended and attempted to purchase the order again. All of a sudden my address was "wrong". No other excuse, just "wrong". After attempting to contact customer service via chat I received a 'tech support ticket number'.

I later received several calls from an unlisted number, which ended after half of a ring meaning I could not answer them. Upon calling Cricket Wireless customer service back directly I was sent on a wild goose chase until I talked to someone who "saw my tech support ticket" and told me I could not be transferred directly to tech support. Sounds sketchy, right? Apparently because my address was "wrong" their only suggestion was to 'use a different browser to attempt to complete my checkout.' Well, as of right now I'm sitting on top of FIVE pending transactions for 556 dollars. No thank you, if your supposed 'tech support' has menial suggestions like that I would very much prefer NOT to transfer to this service.

It has taken over a week to fill out the insurance claim. I've tried to do it over the internet. Tells me my number isn't valid. Now says maximum tries done. I asked them to make me unlisted because I was being harassed. So now, my husband can only ok account because the idiot person completely took me off account. And my husband works not stop out of town. He doesn't have time to sit on the phone with these morons. Now, they tell him he has to fill out claim that they're mailing to our house. Omg, now we're going into week 2. And still nowhere close to getting my much needed new phone. I'm tempted to go to a different co. altogether!!! Hate you Cricket!!!

Spoke with Chelsea ** who thought it was appropriate to start the professional email to follow my complaint "GM!". As well Shakib ** emailed me today, it is not a customer based company, I lost data, had to pay to have my first malfunctioning phone sent out, never received a credit for the days missed, time spent, now the replacement has the same issues. I've only been a customer of Cricket 6 months now, this company really treats you insignificantly. This would not have been as difficult if the leads in Atlanta that contacted me had an ounce of tact and professionalism but customer care is not their priority. AT&T truly has better service. #ImOut.
