I have had very few dropped calls within the ten plus years that I have been with Cricket. My monthly payment has never gone up, no hidden fees and no contracts. I don't use my phone the way most do, I am pretty simple and do not need a lot of data and their plans fit perfectly in my budget. They also have great plans that will fit in your budget if you use a lot of data, like my daughter. The phones they offer are good, but would be nice to see more of a variety. I have done some comparing with other mobile companies, and their phones that are the same brands are a lot less expensive. I have had no problems with the phones I have purchased through them. The only thing I do not like about them is I cannot block spam emails sent via text, only phone numbers.

Please avoid this store. Incompetent people work there. 4 days ago they told me I can transfer 2 lines and each line I will get a free phone or get the iPhone XR for $200. I agreed to transfer the lines to get the discount on the XR. Told them to order the phones then call me. They called me yesterday to get the phones. They upgraded my line without my knowledge then blame it on you for not explaining things to them. Yes, I explained to them 4 days ago then explained to them again when I arrived to the store yesterday. They didn’t own their mistakes. The manager keep saying that, "You didn’t explain to me.." Yes I did.

They have a major listing skills problem. They kept talking over me especially the manager who worked there Thursday evening. I was shocked to see the manager lying about me in front me. I regret I went there. So avoid this store or make sure you have things write on paper before you do any transaction. I truly think they scammed me yesterday. Hopefully $200 plus the $75 activation fees got you wealthy. All I want is the discount iPhone XR as the website promotes. My mother open a new account and still not get the phone. Definitely these people scamming others.

I have been a Cricket customer since 2015. Prior to my recent experience I would have given 5 stars. My service has worked from New York to Hawaii and I have never had any issues with any part of the business. I just got a new phone through the cricket wireless website. It took over a week to arrive. My phone bill was due just prior to receiving my new phone and an extra 25 dollars was added to my phone bill. I thought this was for a device upgrade fee but upon further inspection I had already paid that fee when purchasing the phone. I tried calling customer service and had to spend an hour on the phone with a man who sounded like he was reading a script over and over and kept placing me on hold. When he couldn't tell me what the extra 25 dollars went to he hung up on me.

And the Samsung galaxy I bought won't connect via Bluetooth to anything. It's exactly the same phone I had with Spectrum only difference is no Bluetooth. Service rep try to play it off as a user error but they're wrong. I still can't listen to headphones. I just paid my first monthly bill and still super slow service. 5g unlimited a scam along with defective phones they bargain suppliers for.

I've been paying a insurance protection plan for my wireless phone for 3 yrs. And they always seem to take my payment. No problem, today I decided to make a claim because my screen is cracked and they have me on the phone for 45 minutes just to tell me I can do it online, but online it doesn't show the phone I'm making a claim for, so I called back and they say there's only so much they can do since I didn't purchase my phone from Cricket. So they want to upgrade me and charge me $275. But I don't want an upgrade.

The claim policy states that they can have the screen repaired for $29.00 deductible but since it's not their phone that doesn't apply, so why not tell me that from the beginning when I brought my own phone, I definitely wouldn't of got the insurance, but No. They start everything off with "if the screen cracks you can get it repaired for only $29.00. I'm going to cancel the Insurance policy and make a claim hopes I can recuperating the entire 3yrs. Worth of insurance money.

If you are in the market for a cellular phone plan of any kind, I highly recommend you check out Cricket Wireless. Currently, their cheapest plan gives you unlimited calling, unlimited texting, and 2 GB of high speed data, all for $30/month. After you have used up your high speed data, it will be slowed down, but you will absolutely never be cut off. This is amazing because it ensures your phone will always be working 100% of the time no matter how much or little you use it. Cricket runs through AT&T's cellular network, so you get great coverage almost no matter where you are. There is also absolutely no contracts. You pay month to month and are able to cancel at any time you please. I have been using Cricket Wireless for over a year now and their service just keeps getting better and better.

I called Cricket wireless on 7/27 to change number so they take my card number down and 3 digit code to pay the 15 dollars and then they changed number so thought it was all good. Well no. They shut my phone off at midnight. #1 they never told me that my billing cycle would change. #2 he did not put the 15 dollar payment thru. He put 4 1 dollar payments thru. #3 I never got a text message saying it did not go thru. They just shut my phone off. WOW.

I have been with cricket for years. I have absolutely never had my phone shut off ever. I just can’t believe the way they handled it. Not my fault he did not know what he was doing and he doesn’t know how to take a payment. I’m just beside myself and I also had a 9 am phone meeting which I missed thanks to cricket so I guess this is how they treat their long time and they say valued customers and I’m sending a text that cricket sent so I thought it was good so they can send the text saying that my number had been changed but they could not send a text message saying they did NOT get the 15 dollars. Nope. Couldn’t do that. They just shut my off. WOW. JUST WOW.

First off I didn't know that there was going to be three payments in the bridge program. I was told it was two payments. Wonder week I started it and the other the next week. I went and paid the following week like I was supposed to and did not know there was going to be a third payment. I have no problem paying the third payment once finding out. The problem was the text message that was sent to me. Said my phone service would end on Sunday at 11:59 p.m.. I follow the link in the text message to pay my bill. Every time I tried it said, "This page cannot be found". So I tried on a different Outlet other than my phone and it said it was spam and an unsafe and unsecured website. This made me think it was fraud. The stores were not open on Sunday so I could not go in there and take care of the problem in person.

The next day on Monday I still had phone service so I thought it definitely was spam and went and blocked the number that that link came from. Didn't think anything else out of it. Then Tuesday I wake up go to work and I had no phone service. At this point I go to my local office and talk and explain to the person in there. He called customer service from my phone and I guess I spoke with Franklin. I was trying to explain to him what the issue was and how it was a complete misunderstanding and he said, "I understand but you still have to pay the $15 reconnect fee." I was fine with paying that, what I wasn't fine with was having to pay $173 and some change. I had already paid $120.

I have been a faithful Cricket customer for many years now and because of this incident I am looking for a new phone company. I am a single mom raising two daughters of my own and my two nephews with no help from anybody else. I work very hard for my money and I just had to give you $293 for one month of service. I don't care how you look at it. That is ridiculous! I hope my feedback can help you all with dealing with future issues like this.

I purchased a VERY NICE phone at a VERY INEXPENSIVE price and, overall, am incredibly happy with the phone. It's the SERVICE that I'm not satisfied with. I can't send "voice" text messages to other people like I could with my old service. They were unable to help me figure out the problem so... more than a week, but less than two weeks after starting my service, I am unable to return the phone. I have no money coming back - so basically, I have lost all the money I paid. VERY POOR evaluation policy - it should be 30 DAYS, not 7 days. I highly recommend you try EVERYTHING in the first day of purchasing your phone. 7 DAYS IS NOT ENOUGH TIME TO EVALUATE A PHONE SERVICE. DO NOT USE THEM unless all you want to do is make phone calls and surf the net on a phone.

Now I find out the problem with my service is due to the towers being more than five miles away! I've paid these people all this money for over a year and never got to enjoy any of the service I’ve been paying for. Why????Word of warning to anyone considering using cricket for their mobile device network! They Will lie and misguide you. Have you checking your device and be told that your device is the problem when all along it’s CRICKET'S fault not anything to do with your device! I've been a loyal and happy customer of Cricket for a while now. That is, until last week when we went to Iceland for a week and discovered that Cricket phones don't work there. Not only that, but I couldn't even access my Cricket account online--it just kept saying I was locked out. We managed to call customer support using another phone. The guy on support repeatedly put me on hold and kept coming back and saying that we can call 37 other countries but cricket phones only work in the US, Mexico and Canada. I told him that I thought Cricket was part of AT&T and that surely it should work but he just kept putting me on hold and coming back and saying that same thing.

When I asked why I was locked out of account he said he could put in request to unlock it but it would take 3-4 business days. Because of all this, I daren't use my credit cards while abroad because they often send a text asking me to verify transactions. The only way I could use my phone for internet was by hooking onto hotel (or coffee shop) wifi. And when I tried to use WiFi calling feature it just kept saying "access denied". So all my phone was good for the entire week was to take pictures. Otherwise, it was a brick. So if you travel or ever plan to travel, you might want to pass Cricket up! Needless to say, I just switched to Sprint/T-Mobile and ported my number over.

So first and foremost, I would like to advise that I have been a Cricket customer since 2017 after having been with Verizon for many years and have been very happy with their service up until this last year. I have very seldom had to use the customer service. However, it was great when I did. I have noticed this year that our service as far as signal is not as good as it had been in the past. Again, I have been with them 4 years with 8 lines and on auto pay throughout those 4 years. Also, buying all my devices cash, May 2021 being the last time that I purchased 2 iPhone SEs for my parents for Mother and Father’s day. I paid $609.74 with BOA debit card and did not request new SIM cards as again we already had ours.

So, here I am now shopping around for cell phone service providers as our phones with Cricket no longer work in parts of other countries that they used to work in. I got a good deal from T-Mobile and called cricket to make sure that all phones are unlocked so that I am prepared when the SIM cards come in this evening. Well, it turns out that I cannot unlock mom and dad’s phone due to the device itself not being active 6 months. Why does that matter if the line has been active for over 4 years and I paid cash for the phones? I spent all morning, 7/13/21 on chats and my lunch break on the phone speaking to reps and supervisors asking for an exception even after asking myself how this can even be ethical. You buy a phone cash, it’s yours.

I finally got to speak to a supposed supervisor by the name of Gabriela ** whom preferred to give me her name rather than her work ID which is the total opposite of what is normally provided, being totally fine with as it makes this complaint even more detailed. She advised me what every other associate is programmed to advise. That the device itself has to be in use for 6 months. Again, why if I paid cash??? She asked if those terms had not been shared with me by the associate that sold me the phones at the Cedar Hill, TX store on Pleasant Run. I advised that I was not advised of their 6 month stipulation. You pay for something, it should be yours. I would always go to them for business and even referred them a lot of business. I had a total of 8 lines for heaven sakes.

Anyhow, Gabriela then advised that she would have to fill out a form and contact the store to see what she could do but wouldn’t make any promises as to when she would be getting back to me as it would have to be when she had time to get to it. She stated that it would be when she was able. I expressed that I have the T-Mobile SIM cards already and would like a resolution today. She then only gave me a time frame because I advised that I would be reporting her and Cricket to the BBB. She advised that she would give me a call by 1:30 PM central time and changed her demeanor right away.

Mind you, I was approved by T-Mobile for up to 15 lines. I am assuming that I can probably get a deal on a phone. However, it is the principal. What am I supposed to do with 2 iPhones that I purchased cash less than 2 months ago and that Cricket does not want to unlock even after unlocking my other 6 lines, just because the phone itself hasn’t been active for 6 months, yet the lines have been active 4 years plus? How does that benefit them in any way if regardless, they will be losing 8 lines either way it goes at this point and I would have lost $609 and will possibly have to spend more on 2 other new phones? Beware to all consumers, as they do not tell you, they are a prepaid company, yet you have to theoretically stay with them 6 months, if you plan on keeping your phone. Just ridiculous.

I cannot believe that I was loyal for over 4 years referring friend after friend. NEVER AGAIN AND I WILL BE SURE TO LET EVERYONE KNOW OF HOW THEIR 6 MONTH NEW PHONE PURCHASE STIPULATION WORKS. (Phone may be restricted to Cricket network until completion of 6 months of service after activation.) This is what their stipulations states which I just now looked up. Do not use the word May as that is not a firm must. Also, it states service activation and not the device itself.

I used to absolutely love my service with Cricket Wireless but now after dealing with my boyfriend getting his phone stolen I had insurance paid that the phone has been suspended for 3 days. They told me I had up to 30 days before I got charged, now in order to reactivate his phone, I'm getting charged another $46 even though I just paid my bill last week. They will not reimburse me for the money I spent on the bill for the month of July that I paid a week ago. But expect me to pay another $46 on top of it for the remainder of the month.

This is some ** and as soon as my service is up at the end of the month I definitely will be switching to another company. Obviously, they do not care enough about their customers anymore. Definitely not customer appreciation from these guys. The customer service guy and the supervisor was extremely rude, would not listen and kept saying, "Oh well you still have to pay the $46." To me that's a crook, stealing money. After this month I will no longer give them anymore of my money. Be careful out there.

Every aspect of Cricket Wireless service has been worse than disappointing. I bought a phone for $50, with some kind of fee waived, but I spent $180. The phone hasn't functioned well since the day I got it. The call volume can't be turned up high enough, even with the speaker on, the screen just randomly does its own thing, I miss MANY IMPORTANT calls with not even a record of the call ever coming in, the callers don't even get voicemail, even though it is set up and active, so I tried to use my warranty. What a fiasco! I think it's a straight racket, actually.

It's been 6 days since I sent it back, I haven't heard anything, and the tracking site tells me no more than I already knew, which was basically, what date I sent it back. The clerk at UPS gave me some kind of label that I suspect was not supposed to be given until much later, because although she didn't look at the phone at all, it reads that the liquid damage sensor has been tripped, so I can't use the warranty service. I know for a 100% fact that my phone has never been wet- unless I unknowingly spent almost $200 on a refurbished (poorly) phone. Phone support is nearly impossible to reach because they're dealing with "extremely high call volumes", I wonder why!! (NOT) The online chat is a ridiculous, highly annoying waste of time, and billing- ya never really get to know until.... Ya know?

Let's start from the beginning shall we? About 2 years ago, I lost my phone service with Verizon and because I'm in debt with T-Mobile (the phone company I want to be with) I have no choice but to be with a prepaid company. Boost Mobile was a perfect 10, until they merged with T-Mobile. Now they are the slowest phone company in the world, just barely below Cricket Wireless. Yes, I have a nice phone (iPhone XR 64gb), however, the service with Cricket is god awful. The internet service drops randomly. I work by the ocean so it's normal to have slow service here, but there's days where none of my services work at all (calling, texting, hotspot, and data). I have to turn off cellular data and turn it back on 20x per day, and when that doesn't work, I have no way to use my computer or phone. I finally asked to have the phone unlocked just 2 weeks early so I could go get reliable service.

Cricket has been clear that they expect me to sit here without services for 12 more days before they will unlock the phone. I've had managers promise to call me back and they don't. I've had countless agents apologize with no resolution. Since the service is so cheap I guess I can't expect anything....I'll be going back to Verizon where I pay for premium service that I actually get delivered. It now has been an hour since the call and no one has called me back. I don't feel I should have to pay anything to turn my phone on when they accidentally tried to double charge me. I will not recommend this company to anyone. This is not right or handled accordingly.

I have used Cricket for about 4 years now. If my phone breaks I just grab my old one and drop the sim card in that one. Recently 2 phones broke in my family and when I went to switch the phones, they came up incompatible. When I tried to ask customer service for a compatibility list they asked for an IME# which I don't have because I haven't purchased a replacement phone yet because I want to make sure the phone I purchase is compatible. This also happened with my Pixel A4 which turned out to be compatible, they were just blocking my service. After 2 days of elevating the situation, I had service returned to that handset. As this is happening again, I am done with this Company. Bad customer service. Lack of options other than their budget phones.

It was time consuming by the way... but office tell her that they cant close it because it is single user account, and they can't block my line also.

The guy from main office suggested to me just not to pay next months bill and it will be disconnected automatically for non payment reason.... I have never had more idiotic and unprofessional experience with any cell phone companies. So I end up paying a months ahead service for someone who fined my phone because they could even block the line... I am very upset with that company, will never refer anyone to it. Cricket Wireless highly unprofessional company who would not be able to provide you with even simple service as I was seeking in my situation.

Called my bank and disputed charges. Has been 3 days now and I am still out $300+ dollars thanks to Cricket not issuing a credit for their mistake... I strongly believe Cricket has been compromised. In 8 calls it took an average of 30 minutes to get someone to talk to. 3 times the call was dropped after an answer. Icing on the cake was when I dropped the service in mid month, "they don't do refunds". It is a small amount of money but it once again shows their disregard. Even after waiting an additional 15 minutes, the manager was also unsympathetic. He directed me to the website to see their policy. I have been with Cricket for approximately 2 months and for those two months I can’t call certain numbers. Now I can’t call my mother that is elderly and sick. I call customer service and they say just dial the number instead of using my contacts. What kind of customer service is that? How about resolving these issues and compensate me for not being able to make certain phone calls for 2 months. Not just that, my calls drop constantly. I will never have Cricket again and I will certainly never recommend anyone to Cricket. Worst phone company ever.

This week when I switched my sim card into a 4G phone, it worked for a day and then Cricket suspended my account, listing the phone being incompatible as the reason. I put my sim card back into the phone which I had been using just prior, and that one is also listed as incompatible. The customer service representatives claimed that the incompatibility is due to 3G being turned off, and one representative warned that re-enabling my phone could "damage the software" on the phone. The customer service representatives and their supervisors refuse or are unable to add my phone's IMEI to the whitelist, and refuse to provide a phone number for me to call so I can request that. So now I have two phones which worked on their network yesterday but are somehow "incompatible" today.

Their website does not say that you must have a phone from Cricket in order to have a hotspot. Instead, it specifically states that you can bring your own phone - and it made the list of hotspot compatible devices!!! It is intentionally deceptive, and they won't make it right. If I had the money, I would sue them for false advertisement.

We called on to get our phone unlocked, considering we bought our phone already unlocked directly from Apple. For some reason cricket locked our iPhones as if we were on a contract with Cricket BUT our lines where prepaid. Not contracted. The Cricket rep said that we'd have to be with Cricket for 6+ months in order for our phones to be unlocked. As I've explained in the beginning we were already with Cricket for over 2 years. The call rep seen that, but the "Cricket system" did not. This resulted in Cricket submitting a ticket to a third party that won't be able to unlock our phones for 3-5 business days.

However we're already paying for an actual contract with another carrier. My wife and I feel like it's unfair for us to pay thousands of dollars for unlocked phones just for them to be locked by a carrier that was not contracted or authorized to do so. Also, it's very inconvenient to have to wait an additional 3-5 business days to get our phones unlocked. It's equivalent to getting divorced out of a marriage that you never knew you were in and the other party doesn't want to sign the separation papers. We're highly disappointed with our service here with Cricket and will NEVER recommend it to anyone.

Some employees in other cricket stores are high school kids with no experience or knowledge of what they are doing. Honestly it’s like this company will hire just anyone with no experience off the streets.

Join this company at your own risk. Be prepared for the unprofessional employees that you will encounter. The phone section is terrible. The only free phone you get is the Fortune 3 which is cheap and will break extremely easy. They have limited phones so either buy an extremely cheap phone or buy an overpriced phone. My advice make sure your phone is unlock first before joining this company. Like I said the cell service is great but the employees are terrible and the phone is horrible. Join at your own risk.

I've been a loyal Cricket customer for over 5 years. I love the service coverage and the affordable rates. The one thing that REALLY grinds my gears is the fact that Cricket seems to not care about their loyal customers. Like I said I've been a LOYAL customer of 4 lines for over 5 years straight. If we want/need a new phone 50 out of 52 weeks in a year we'll have to pay their full price, but new customers will get the same phone for 1/2-3/4 cheaper. Where's the loyalty? In the past 10 years I've tried every prepaid service and it seems that pretty much all the cell company's want you to switch company's every few months or whenever you need a new phone.

If Cricket would give us "loyal customers" a upgrade incentive every so often they would be 5 Stars hands down. Cricket does give you a upgrade but it's like $25 that's a slap in the face when a new customer that jumps providers will get the same phone for next to nothing and we'll have to pay $25 off full price. I will say that I work with people who have the newest top of the line phones on Verizon, T-Mobile & AT&T "which owns Cricket same towers" and I'll have service when they don't 8 out of 10 times when we're 100 miles past the middle of nowhere. If you're looking for a cell company that is affordable and reliable and don't need the latest and greatest phone this is the best but if you're the type that needs new phones all the time go somewhere else.

I can't understand how I get charged a reactivation charges when the supervisor could never see when I called in or me login into my account? I explain to him that I had screenshots of me calling within the hours of customer care operating and sat on hold until the office was closed. I even explained to them that I was willing to make that payment with them just didn't feel I should pay an reactivation fee for their sites not working and long hold times.

Mr. Feverico offered me a $7 credit and stated that is all cricket/AT&T allows his department to do. I have a Straight Talk phone now and thought I could get my boys phones and it would be cheaper than paying what I'm paying now. I talked to a sales representative online, told him I've got 3 phones already that are straight talk and I would need to purchase another one to complete the 4 lines. I gave him the phones IMEIs, serial numbers. Told him I was with straight talk had to buy 3 SIM card kits and he said once the SIM kits are in all I had to do was activate them. AND BOOM 4 lines for $100!!

Okay, I get the SIM kits in and also the new phone. I have 2 active straight talk Iphone 7's and one inactive Iphone 5 straight talk as well. I decided to try and put the first SIM in the inactive phone just in case I had any problems. AND GUESS WHAT, I did have a problem. "SIM not accepted with this phone." I called Cricket and explained to them that the inactive phone was saying the SIM was not accepted. AND then all of a sudden my phone shut off, I had no service, I took out the phone Cricket sent us, put a SIM card in, called them back and they told me they activated my cricket service.. I asked why they did that when the SIM cards don't work in my phones.. Well, I was supposed to call Straight talk and get an unlock activation code (little late for that information)..

Okay, Called straight talk and they were going to charge me $150 for EACH PHONE to unlock because I didn't have 12 straight months of service with them, which I DID until Cricket disconnected me from them. AFTER 7 HOURS of fighting with Cricket and being hung up one 4 different times, and them telling me no refunds because I activated the phones, even though it wasn't my decision to activate them, and basically threatening to contact the BBB about it, they finally offer to give me a refund. So, I go back to straight talk, NOW I'm out $148 for Cricket and I have to go buy a new straight talk phone cards for both phones that had service for at least another 2 weeks, I try and get our old numbers back.. CRICKET KEPT THEM! I had to get a new number after having mine for years!

I know this is a long review, but TRUST me, if this makes you tired reading, you can't even imagine the hassle you will go through with switching to Cricket. I was misled in the beginning.. Like just tell people before they switch, not only to check their phones for compatibility but also contact the carrier and find out if they will even allow you to. It's not worth it. I've been a Cricket customer for over 22 years. Prior to Cricket, the cell phone providers used to be PrimeCo, US Cellular which has been bought over the years which is now known as Cricket. Over the years, I have never missed a payment and always encourage others to use the Cricket Company as their cell phone provider. Over the years, my phone number has been my main source of communication with my family, friends, career, business purposes, coworkers, and other accounts over the years. My phone number means everything to my life.

I wrote to Cricket Wireless because they abruptly shut my phone service off on Thursday, February 11, 2021. I noticed that I haven’t received text messages throughout the night and I sent text messages that were not delivered. I also couldn’t make any phone calls whereas I discovered an error message kept scrolling across my phone screen…. "SIM not provisioned MM2".

On Friday, February 12, 2020….I went to the Cricket store located 5401 S Wentworth Ave, Ste 11B. Chicago IL 60609 about my phone connection. The store representative and I thought that the sim card wasn't working so I was in the process of buying a new one. When the cashier pulled up my phone number account, she discovered that my phone number was canceled.

While at the store, we contacted Cricket to resolve this matter. I received a variety of transferred calls to other representatives, supervisors and departments. In addition, I received a long wait time and false promises of a few returned phone calls whereas some of the Cricket representatives never called me back. And whenever I did speak with a representative and supervisor…. I received a variety of inconsistency reasons why my phone was turned off and accused me for violating Cricket's Terms and conditions.

I am dumbfounded about this entire situation because I have never violated Cricket's terms and conditions, nor jeopardize my character. I never received any Cricket phone calls, emails, or text messages about these alleged allegations including warnings to shut my phone connection off. If I did, I would've reached out to Cricket sooner. I repeatedly requested for a copy of the allegations and Cricket denied my request.

On Monday, February 22, 2021, my cell phone was unexpectedly shut off again. I have missed a variety of important phone calls and text messages during the time frames described above. I also spoke with several customer service representatives and supervisors. The last supervisor couldn’t provide me details either but advised me to contact the Federal Communication Commission (FCC) and other agencies. In addition, the only option at that time was given to buy another phone number service. If I am such a violator, why is Cricket selling me another phone number? This doesn't make any sense to me.

On the same date, I contacted (FCC) by phone. The FCC representative provided me additional resources to file a complaint which was very beneficial. I've been a loyal Cricket customer for over 22 years. Cricket turned off my phone without providing me proof and evidence that I have violated their terms and conditions. I want to see a detailed report as to who, what, when, where, why, and how my phone number has been canceled out. I have requested such documents to be sent to me when my phone was shut off the 1st and 2nd time. All of the Cricket employees related that they don't have access to such information.

Cricket needs to explain their actions as to why they have canceled out my phone number that I've had for over 22 years. I have the right and obligation to request for these documents because they never notified me. I am also requesting that Cricket to restore my phone number and refund my money in the amount of $157.56 which was money spent to restore my phone number. They forced me to get a new number which created more and more headaches with over the extreme unwanted robo calls, text messages, etc. I'm aggravated dealing with this situation because all of my contacts have been disrupted in communication with my 22+ years with of work, family & friends, outreach networks, utilities/bank/medical alerts, etc.

Lastly, I further researched Cricket's customers' online posts related to similar poor customer service practices in recent years. Therefore, I've contacted other stakeholders (Cricket, BBB, FCC, etc.) to assist me in rectifying this problem and to restore my original phone number back to me. While going through this process, I discovered similar incidents that have happened to four of my associates. They didn't have to go to the extent that I'm going through because their phone was turned back on within a week. Wish me luck...and continue to do your homework as a customer for other businesses and services.

By the time I got there someone had already called them and they were there. So if you need stress in your life if you want to die before calling 911 this is your company. I'm just telling you anyone can get a phone with way less stress for free.

I write this review to be as fair and honest as possible. The staff at Cricket are people. I get that. And they are following rules to a system. We'll call this system Big Brother. Big Brother tells the staff what to say, what to do, and gives them very limited control. Here's what happened - I returned an iPhone I bought online that was unused and never activated. I was charged $25 for an activation/handling fee I never used. I returned the iPhone per Cricket's instructions. They refunded me; however, $25 was missing.

I spoke with one of the staff and they advised me to do a chargeback with my credit card. And so I did. Then I got my phone disconnected and a new $33 fee came. They never mentioned this to me. It's so wrong and no one is able to help. It's a total SCAM. First they mislead you, then they charge a fee on top of another fee. It just gets worse. I have been on the phone with 3 staff and 2 supervisors. They all blame Big Brother. Nothing can be done. They are all helpless and weak and they can't do anything.

And, Cricket has excellent customer support if there's ever any question about billing or plans. Well I figured it may be that I had gotten a cheap phone since I went on the 4 line contract and got the phones free. So I purchased another phone paying a lot more for it and it's only been 8 or 9 days and I'm having issues yet again. I'm so fuming at this point. There's nothing they can do because of their 7 day policy. A 200 dollar phone and they can't do anything about the issues! I am so disgusted at this phone service. My 200 dollar phone is having the same issues as the phone I supposedly got for free. No volume and no alert when I get text and sometimes I won't even get the text when someone text me. About three weeks into my billing cycle I used all of my Hotspot so I went online and I made a one-time purchase of 15 gigabytes for $10. Keep my credit card information. Everything was successful and I had my hotspot. The next day I wake up to our service being cancelled and Cricket asking for a full month's payment before we can make any phone calls. My account is on automatic payment for my bank account. My payment is usually drawn a couple of days before the end of the month as my billing cycle is supposed to start on the first of the next month.

After I made the payment the following morning when I found the service cut off on the 25th, I paid the full amount that the computer asked me to pay, after I got my confirmation number of the transaction I was told that I had a credit...which was confusing. Why would they ask me to pay an amount that was going to result in a credit on my account and why was my account even asking me for payment when I'm on automatic drawing?... It wasn't the time of my billing cycle.

I made repeated calls to Cricket, waited for a long time on the phone talk with people that were difficult to understand and never would answer my questions... but they took a lot of my time by saying a lot of unnecessary words, never answering my question! Finally, I was cut off and I did not receive a call back even though they did have my phone number. I called back again (this is the fourth time now that I've called) and asked to talk with a supervisor. I was told supervisors were in a meeting and they would call me back in 20 minutes. It's been now an hour and 20 minutes and I've received no call back. This is ridiculous and frustrating! Really looking forward to dropping Cricket as our phone provider!

Earlier this year, I switched from Metro PCS to Cricket Wireless. I have been very dissatisfied overall with this Service Provider. I know service is switching to 5G but this service is unacceptable. First off, the cell towers that picked up my calls were over 80 miles away. I usually had to go outside to get full signals. However, that is not my main complaint.

Second, I purchased a Stylo 5 phone at the Cricket Wireless Store in Fort Valley. The sellers willfully and knowingly sold me a phone they knew would have grave issues as 5G is implemented without disclosing that information to me. Sure enough, I recently started having issues with hotspot and tethering. I made several calls and tech support attempted to troubleshoot without success on three occasions. I escalated the call on the fourth attempt and tech support called me the following day to tell me to perform a factory reset. I am not tech savvy and I knew I would lose all my data and info that is important to me. Cricket Wireless did not offer in any way to assist me. Therefore, I made a decision to look for another phone. Meantime, my bill came due. Cricket Wireless, not only refused to credit my account for the full nonusage of $30 for the hotspot. I escalated the call all the way to Operations Manager and then he put the blame on me.

Finally, today, I found my social media account has been hacked and the language changed to Latino/Hispanic language. I told the Cricket Wireless Representative I would complain to Consumer Affairs. I tried to create an account and an account had already been created with my main email address so I was initially denied access to Consumer Affairs. I did not create another account. I had to create another account. I have no idea how far this scheme has gone, but, I am not pleased. Such a disgrace that Cricket Wireless is not a service provider to be trusted. Beware Consumer!

So I switch all my lines over but when I tried to switch my son phone over it was lock by carrier. So I called cricket to get it unlock. They told since my son got a replacement phone thru insurance last month which I pay for and paid 260 deductible they said they couldn’t unlock his phone because he hasn’t been with them for 6 months. Remind you I bought my phone outright and plus this suppose to be a prepaid company.

I talked to the supervisor. He promised me my son phone will be unlock with in 48 hrs after he put a ticket in. Long story short after 4 tickets being put in my son phone still wasn’t unlock. Had to trade it in with AT&T so my son can have service. The customer service lied about everything. I even ask to speak to the supervisor supervisor. I could not access my phone and I could not remember my password so there was no way for me to reset my password because I didn't have access to my phone. They mentioned to me that it was due to adding 30GB of Hot Spot data last night, when I did not. I actually called the automated line and added only 15GB of Hot Spot data and paid for it over the phone and was even given a confirmation number. Still, they wanted me to pay the full amount due on my account, which was my normal plan, plus pay for the additional hotspot they added to my account without my approval. The CSR claimed she could not do anything about it, so in order to cut my service back on, I had to be placed on their Bridge Pay and forced to pay half of my bill that was supposed to be due on the 26th.

If this is how they trick people into paying for their mistakes, then it's not a good company to get involved with. They could have fixed their mistake, but chose not to. They'd rather make their customers pay additional services against their wishes by suspending their customers account and giving them no other option but to pay for their plan way before their bill is even due. Terrible phone provider, no different than Metro PCS. Will be switching providers due to how they treated this situation. Very shady, and not a trustworthy company to get involved with.

So, I didn't think anything of returning to them now. However, this time around, the data speeds were very slow at my home. I could hardly get anything done online and it was near impossible to get my computer to connect to the WIFI hotspot. I was disappointed, so I decided to switch again. Cricket has a 7 day return policy, so I didn't think it I'd have any trouble.

I brought the phone back to the same location at about 12pm today, October 22. Correct me if I'm wrong, but a day is 24 hours. I should have until October 22, 12:40pm, right? Well, Cricket counts the full day I started service, even before I was actually with them. To me, that's just misleading and dishonest. I wish I had been able to switch away and return the phone before today, so there wouldn't be any question. It's sad because I went from simply a little dissatisfied with the speeds to completely against Cricket. I would have still recommended them to a friend and thought they were a great company. Now, I want nothing to do with them. That was a complete waste of nearly $100. By the way, they also have an activation fee of $25. I thought that was a little messed up. I have never heard of such a thing. I finally ordered my phone by speaking directly with them. I received an invoice with the order details including my address with the apartment number. The phone did not arrive after several days. I called UPS who said the phone was not delivered because it did not have my apartment number on the address label!!!

I called Cricket and told them I wanted a refund since I did not receive my phone. I was tossed back and forth between the customer service department and warranty department, both said it was not their responsibility. I called over 15 times to try to get this straightened out. I was either cut off, told they would call me back but they never did, got cut off during transfers from one department to the next. I decided the only way was to file a claim in small claims court.

I sent a demand letter to cricket at their Atlanta office. I received no response. I was just about to mail my lawsuit but thought I would try one last time. I finally got someone reasonably sane and they said the refund would come within a week. Finally got my refund. However, the refund was $25 short the upgrade fee. Since I did not upgrade, why are they keeping my upgrade fee?

I called them again and they said they have no record of the entire incident. They asked me for the invoice number. I did not have it with me so they said to call them back. I have placed a call in and still waiting for them to call me back. This all started August 7th and it is now October 5th. Cricket is a miserable company to do business with, the only reason they are in business is because their service is the least expensive to date. They are owned by ATT so it makes sense that the customer service would be atrocious, ATT is well known for horrendous customer service. To file a suit against cricket, you need to send it to ATT North Palm Beach, FL office. They take care of all of Crickets' lawsuits. I plan to switch as soon as I get my money back.

So I had to buy another phone because they changed their policies.. Spent 100$ on their cheapest phone. Then bam again bill went up 30$ again because of something they changed. All within a month. We go on line to see what's going on and to pay but we get charged an extra $5.00 for their mistake. If you like to be cheated, I recommend Cricket Wireless. If not choose another service.

I bought the Nokia EndiC5 8/8/20 and 8/15/20 all my problems started. The phone: locks up, shuts down, turns on and off by itself, in the middle of texting or search it locks up and or shuts off, not touching the phone and it shuts off and restarts, taking pictures and locks up. Cricket 7 day return was up. Their CS had 2 options: 1 I could take it to the UPS store and they have to inspect it for physical damages pack it up and send it in, 2-3 days later I have another (parent needs contact) 2nd I could pay the full cost of the new phone I hold my defect until I get another, if their tech decided that nothing was wrong, I'd send the new back and lose the full cost, non-refundable. So either way I'm screwed.

Now don't get me wrong, I've been with Cricket for over 20 years and love their service and plans. I've tried others and came back to Cricket. I still have the defective one until I can physically exchange it. Heck, the reviews on the EndiC5 are basically the same as my complaint. Lessons learned, read the reviews before you purchase, it'll save you $ and head-aches.

On August 27th, 2020, I received a notification on my phone (SM-J260AZ) that my SIM card was not provisioned. I was no longer able to make or receive phone calls or text messages. I attempted to log into my Cricket account to see what had happened. After entering in my login information, I received an error message that my account had been cancelled. I had paid for my service ahead of time so I called Cricket Wireless to see what was going on. The rep told me that my phone number (**) had been ported to T-Mobile. I let the rep know that I had not requested to have my phone number ported and it was ported without my permission.

While I was on hold with the rep for her to look into this, I received notifications on my phone that the password to my personal email had been changed, my recovery options (an alternate email address in case I had forgotten my password) had also been changed. Within 5 minutes, my Cash App account was also hacked. The person had sent requests of $300 from my contacts and started sending text messages to people in my contact list asking for a loan of $300. The people thought that they were talking to me, but it was in fact the person that hacked my account.

Someone sent me $300 and before I even had the chance to go in and refund the money back, the person who was controlling my Cash App account immediately sent the money to themselves. I had $2.89 on my Cash App on my account at that time and the person sent themselves $2 (Cash App Name: **). (I have also opened a case with Cash app (**) to see if I will be able to get the money back.) I was still on hold with Cricket during all of this. The rep gave me a case number (**). I have been fighting with Cash App, AOL, GMAIL, and even TD Bank to gain access to my accounts again because 2 step verification was active on the majority of my accounts (having a code sent to my phone number to ensure that my login is secure).

Cricket did not verify any of my personal information or contact me regarding my phone number being ported. No email, phone call, text message. Absolutely nothing. Because of their careless and minimal security measures set in place, all of my personal information has been exposed. I have had to spend countless hours and even take a day off of work to call various companies to notify them of this and to put a fraud alert on my accounts since my SSN was also exposed because of this. Since this, I have not received any update from Cricket Wireless to check on the status of their investigation. They have not offered me a temporary phone number or any type of accommodations during this time.

I have been a customer with Cricket for more than a year and have always made my payments on time and even ahead of time. I asked them for a refund on the payments that I had made in advance and they told me that they do not provide refunds, even though my service with them is not active and I am technically not receiving any service from them right now, they refuse to issue a refund for the payments that I have already made. I am seeking legal counsel to see if a case can be brought against them because this can potentially have a lifelong impact on not only my personal information, but also my parents because my email accounts and phone number was also attached to their personal information as well. I have filed a police report as well with the Phoenix Police Department (Case Number: **). I have also filed a complaint with FTC.

I had ATT for 18 years, swtiched to Cricket and it was the dumbest thing I could have done. If you came to this page to check out Cricket & are thinking of transferring services. DO NOT DO IT. RUN!!! A week of customer service nightmare: Fri - ordered new phone online. Mon - phone delivered, attempted to activate online. Received a message to call Customer Service so I did. They couldn't activate it so a ticket was put in and "it'll be fixed within 24 hours." They tell me they'll call with an update, I point out my phone doesn't work & I can't be reached that way. They tell me to call in for updates.

Tues - no phone, I call & my line was suspended. But they don't know why. At first they said it's because I owed them money (didn't/don't - autopay & bought the phone outright) then they tell me it's a glitch on their end & it'll be fixed in 24 hours (never mind the first 24 hours). Again I'm told they'll call me with an update. We have the same discussion & I ask to be emailed updates. Wed - no phone, call & chat customer service. Still no fix but you guessed it, it'll be fixed within 24 hours (see a theme? I do too but it's okay because that goes out the window in a moment). Again I'm told they'll call me with an update. We have the same discussion & I ask to be emailed updates. (We have this same convo multiple times a day.)

Thurs - no phone. I chat customer service & it'll be fixed ASAP. Thurs night I call in & after quite a few rounds I'm told it'll be fixed in 4 - 7 business days. Yes, you read that right. FOUR TO SEVEN BUSINESS DAYS. I do not have a phone because of an issue on their side & I'm supposed to wait 4-7 business days after already waiting 3. This is all the first time they've changed it up from the "Fixed in 24 hours." I begin talking to Metro PCS about switching & what I need to do. Guess what? I can't transfer since my line is suspended.

I get back on chat with Cricket & they cannot restore my old account (I told them I don't care if the phone works, I just need whatever to transfer). I'm literally stuck with NO phone, a full monthly bill & nothing to show for it. AND I CAN'T LEAVE. I'm being held hostage. I also cannot take the phone I bought outright because I have not had it activated with Cricket for 6 months. So yeah, no contract but even if you buy your phone outright you don't own it for 6 months.

The customer service is horrendous. If you get someone on the phone they're likely to accidentally disconnect you. I've had supervisors straight up hang up on me. I cannot call anyone other than customer service & go through the entire spiel of what's wrong to get an update on the ticket #. They haven't even offered me any kind of rebate or discount, just keep telling me they're sorry for the inconvenience. I WANT OUT. If you've stuck with me this long, please heed my warning and DO NOT sign up with Cricket. You will regret it.

While my phone worked great while in the mall and around the city where I bought it, service cut down to nothing on my way home, and only one bar at my house.

When I called the store to see what could be done, the employee pushed me off on the 1-800 number, who informed me that I'm about eight miles from the nearest Cricket tower, and most likely wouldn't be able to use their service, despite what the store employee told me. I asked to cancel my service, and requested a refund of my first months' service (understanding that the activation fee was non-refundable). Now both the store and the customer service line are claiming they can't give me a refund, based on the fine print in the agreement, and both parties keep trying to push me off on the other to get to the bottom of this. Long story short, I'm probably out $77. Will NEVER deal with this ridiculous company again.

I woke up waiting on a phone interview for a job but never received the call! When I attempted to call them I was directed to Cricket due to my services being disconnected! I also missed a call from the hospital involving a family member! There was a message stating I needed to pay $5 more as if I didn't pay the whole bill!

Once on the phone with a rep (after being on hold for 15 minutes) I was asked for my pin code (they can't get into your account without it) so I asked for a supervisor! She (the supervisor) told me I made a change to my account the night before which was a lie because the change was made over a week ago! Due to a lack of data I changed my plan but was never charged for it nor did the change take effect until my next billing cycle in which the additional fees were added which I figured, because it was so close to my next billing cycle! She just kept saying things that made no sense to cover up their mistake! Insulting my intelligence! They turned it back on but was not willing to compensate me for my troubles!

I have been a customer for at least 2 years, had issues before but kept the service because the bill was reasonable and I was somewhat accommodated for my troubles. But I decided to end my services with them, called back to find out how to get my money refunded and was told I have to call my bank and have the charge reversed! I asked him, "How do you know I used a bank?" Because of my tone, He tells me, "I can see how you've been having trouble because of your attitude!" I told him, "Are you serious," he said yes! OMG I then replied, "You have no idea of what the problem is to even have that opinion, I just asked you a question!" Explained what happened and then he acted as if he understood! He acted like he was going to help me and had me on hold for another 10 minutes and the phone hung up. Called back and the next rep basically did the same!

I waited to see if I would get a call back and check my account to see if they would credit my account somehow and once I looked at it it showed $30 for my next bill it was $40 after the change $40 should get you 10GB! As an individual, you may think Cricket is fine and affordable, and in many respects it is. But, as I started to realize that my relationships started to be amiss because of Cricket texting. My wife seemed really irritated that I didn't get her texts or that I just seemed to respond to them late or very late or not at all. And my children seemed to text me way after the time they needed to be picked up from soccer practice--if I even got a text. I started to review Cricket texting and realized that lots of people have had similar issues. To see if you have the same issue just text yourself and see how long it takes to come back to you. The fastest return time was eight minutes--and on occasion the text just wouldn't come back. Yes, eight minutes!

"Didn't you get my text?" Cricket is sneaky in that, if a text comes in hours later it will stack itself in the "I came in on time" sandwiched between earlier and later texts--so you'd never know it. The problem is well--it doesn't really. Cricket texts are chronically late. I've been on tech support for hours with them and nothing changes that. If you don't care about texting, when to get picked up, when to go to the movies, when to get together on a date, you didn't get their text or they didn't get yours--if none of that means anything to you then Cricket might just be fine. It's affordable and I always thought the my phone conversations were very clear.

However, I just got Verizon prepaid, with three phones, a family phone, my wife's phone and my phone. Texts are lightning fast. I mean they come in at the speed of light. And the kicker is we're saving money. Our cell phone bill used to be 165 dollars for three phones, but now that we're on Verizon prepaid 5GB plan--it's 105 dollars and it's going to go down to 90 in two months for Verizon loyalty. That's 40+40+40 -5 -5 -5 (-5 for auto-pay).

Cricket has caused a lot of ill will with its horrible texting--and I WAS a big fan. I'd make excuses, but well it's cost me in the relationship area in multiple relationships and that sucks. I thinking people thought I didn't respond or I didn't care. However, it's been late texts or no texts. And it's not a phone thing either. I've had the same experience for three phones with them. I'm done with Cricket forever. P.s. the kicker is that this poor texting issue has been going on for a long, long, time--before I was a customer of four years.

When I was finally able to get in touch with a representative about a feature upgrade I wanted to add to my account, they not only told me the only reason I had the original feature was because of a "glitch," but they proceeded to fix said glitch without warning so that when the next billing period came, I had to find out from experience that this had happened. There is a major problem in the system Cricket Wireless just rolled out. I woke up July 13 to a corrupted sim card, drove 45 minutes to the nearest "authorized retailer", purchased a new sim card, and within 20 minutes my phone was indicating a number that wasn't even mine. I was receiving phone calls from strangers several hours away, and realized that my number my phone had on it was actually someone else's on my plan. Meanwhile, he is still without a phone. My number is completely gone, which also happens to be an LLC's business line. (Who knows what kind of phone calls I'm missing out on pertaining to my business; clients, subcontractors etc.)

Drove another 45 minutes back to Rhinelander, WI later in the day, only to be sold a second sim card which did the same exact thing within a matter of minutes....attached itself to a different phone on my plan. Leaving me with someone else's phone number, unable to operate my business line, and leaving the other user on my plan, with a nonworking phone. At the end of business hours the next day, this matter has not been resolved. We have spend upward of 5 hours with your corporate people who completely blame the local franchisee and will do absolutely nothing for us but keep telling us to buy more sim cards. No. No way I am buying more sim cards so the same thing can happen over and over again.

This has turned into an irreparable scenario. And the regional manager is as confused as I am as to what's going on. Cricket Corporate is assuming zero responsibility. Absolutely unacceptable. Have been with Cricket for 5 years and it's sad it has to end this way. I would suggest business professionals steer clear of this outfit as they will leave you high and dry with no recourse, and in my case, a lost business line that I now have to start the painstaking process of changing my number all over the internet. Oh ps, all my contacts are gone as well as I was instructed to factory reset my phone because at first, they tried saying my phone had a virus.

We paid for the phone in full and paid full price. Now, 1 month later we requested to have it unlocked. I realize the policy says the device must be active 6 months, but this was not a new purchase to upgrade and Cricket states there is no contract, but in reality there is by locking you in for 6 months per device. They all tell me that I’m cutting out really bad. I do not live or work in a rural area and I have a newer phone that was working absolutely fine with my previous carrier (AT&T). Cricket supposedly uses the same service as AT&T but my service has been so bad that it is useless for me to even have a phone. Ridiculous.

Today, I went to purchase additional memory but the sales person sold me a memory card for storage. I returned to the store only to find they could not refund my money because there was no manager. I called customer service and was told I could return the phone with a $25 restocking fee that they would not refund the money on the card the idiot in the store sold me, and that they would not return or pro rate the monthly charge I just paid. If you are buying a phone, buy a phone anywhere else. The Reps are clearly untrained and I am now waiting for over an hour for a customer service manager to call me to resolve this. I have literally no service anywhere no matter what I do, the customer service seems like bots are the ones that control it, and when they know they can't help you, they suggest things that you've already tried. They will not refund you if you have used any sort of data on the account, even if they just randomly decide to shut off your reception service at specific times of the day. I’ve been through customer service hell with Cricket the last month. I’m not exaggerating when I say this experience with Cricket has been the worst customer service experience I’ve ever had in my 28 years of being alive. (The quotes are direct quotes from Customer Service Representatives.) April 20th: I bought a phone and shipped it accidentally to the wrong address. The website didn't let me fix the address online, so within five minutes of making the purchase, I called Cricket to fix it. I was told that they couldn't fix my shipping address there or cancel my order (already very surprising, but okay, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt, and the woman, Patty, I spoke to was very nice). Patty said she was, and I'm quoting her, "100% certain" my order would be canceled.

April 21st: My order is shipped out from Cricket. The way they chose to alert me that they couldn't cancel my order, despite guaranteeing they would, was by calling the number of the phone that I explained to them was the one I was replacing, and therefore the voicemail hung out in purgatory until I bought a new phone somewhere else. Again, fine, I get it, maybe some wires got crossed somewhere. I'm still willing to give the benefit of the doubt, for now.

Later this week, I'm not sure the exact date: Because I'm unable to affect the phone going to my address in New York, which, because of coronavirus, is not where I am right now, I decide to go to Cricket on 2009 York Road to purchase a temporary phone. I waited until 11:30AM for someone to show up (store was supposed to open at 11AM). Several confused people walk by and try to enter but can't. I leave at 11:30AM, and a friend lends me their spare phone, and I can port my number over from Cricket.

April 22nd: The phone arrives at my apartment in New York. I call the pharmacy and let them know to refuse the package so it can be sent back to Cricket. They do. The UPS person doesn't leave them any sort of ticket. April 27th: Finally, the phone thankfully returns to Cricket and is received, with Proof of Delivery. April 29th: I message with Cricket, looking for my refund or for confirmation that my phone was received back. I was told that "my refund would process within 5-7 days".

May 4rd (7 days later): I call Cricket (livid, because this has been too much). Talked to Frankie, who was incredibly nice. He passed me on to the back office, where I explain the situation to the woman, and she tells me that it's "7-10 days" that the refund will be issued, she's "sorry I was told otherwise" and she's putting an acceleration on the ticket and I will "definitely hear within 48 hours." May 10th: Lo and behold, it's been 14 days, and I've heard nothing. No refund, no confirmation.

I’m beyond angry right now. If this isn't fixed come Monday, I’m disputing the charge with my bank. At this point, I’m almost certainly going to leave Cricket. Plus, the people around me who have been going through this with me don’t want anything to do with Cricket, and I’m going to have to tell people not to become a Cricket customer, because I never want to have to deal with something like this again, nor do I honestly want anyone else to deal with it either.

Given what you just read, it may not sound like it, but I’m a pretty easy going person, yet I’ve talked to, idk, ten, twelve, customer service people within Cricket trying to fix this? Above, I've left out some conversations I had over Cricket Chat, simply because they went nowhere. I’m not exaggerating when I say this experience with Cricket has been the worst customer service experience I’ve ever had in my 28 years of being alive.

What do I want? I want my refund for a phone I never received. And maybe like a billion apologies. I want Cricket to put a button on its website that allows you to edit or cancel the order within a reasonable timeframe. I want Cricket customer service people over chat to make it clear from the beginning when they can and cannot help with my issue. I want better communication between their warehouse and customer service, because it's unfair that I couldn't cancel my order five minutes after making it, and it should have never shipped in the first place.

I want Cricket Customer Service Representatives to follow through on their guarantees, either by not making them at all or having more ability to alter orders, because many of them were nice but apparently powerless to interfere in this process at all. I want that Customer Service can manually reinstate an upgrade, because I still can't, use my upgrade: it went on the phone that is now sitting in Cricket's warehouse. And I want to talk to someone higher up in the company, because I don't want to foist my fury on minimum wage workers.

I suspect as their towers get old in other areas and start to weaken, their coverage problems will extend to most of USA. I would not recommend getting Cricket unless you are in one of the elite areas where AT&T plans to roll out 5G. We left T-Mobile 7 years ago and haven't looked back. We went to Cricket because we got the same plan we had with T-Mobile but at half the price! Their smart phones are cheaper too. Coverage area has been great. They have all different plans to choose from. We have our payment drafted every month and even save money off our plan by doing that. I had been with T-Mobile for 11 years prior and not once did they attempt to resolve overbilling or loss of signal. Why pay double? Switch your service today! Best decision we ever made.

I don't know why you guys are not willing to be a little more lenient with due dates with everything going on. People are NOT just being "laid off" for a few weeks, we are losing our jobs fully and companies are just calling it laid off so they don't have to pay unemployment for people. All I asked for was 2 more days to get my last check from my job that decided to let go of my entire department. And even though I found a new job I of course won't get that first check for 2-3 weeks. You have really shown how much you care about your customers and it's pathetic and you guys should be ashamed of yourself.

Everyone knows you are a low income phone service provider and most of your customers are considered "essential" workers so we obviously don't have loads of cash sitting around and during a pandemic. You'd think you guys would offer a little more assistance for your customers. Since my phone hardly works anyway, instead of staying with you guys when I get my check tomorrow night I will be switching providers. Good luck in your poor endeavors.

Only option cricket gave me was their bridgepay option which is a rip off after the 7 days of service after you still can't pay your remaining balance bc you're still unemployed. I just recently called customer service regarding a SIM card transfer due to complications with my old device. It took them about 30 minutes to get me to a representative. Some time after providing the information to the new account, my call began to have interference so I said I would call them back soon using the new SIM in order to avoid any confusion down the line. The representative seemed to be very hesitant to respect my decision in calling them back.

Next thing I know I find someone has shut off my calling service and only my calling service on that new SIM. I switched over to the old SIM card which I feel isn't safe at all to use with my new device since it has been nearly fried (water exposure) and am currently waiting for someone to answer my call. I have been on hold for 1 hour and 38 minutes. I know they are not that busy. Either way, I ended up having to pay much more than necessary and was willing to give it a shot but I think I'm going to try a more legitimate service.

If you are thinking about signing up with Cricket for your cell phone service, think again. There are 2 problems with this company. First, the staff at the forefront of customer support are poorly trained. Some can barely speak English. Apparently, the company has outsourced its Call Centers to Spanish-speaking countries. If you ask to speak to someone in the US, the staff transfers callers to their peers overseas. You'll never get someone at Cricket's headquarters or call centers anywhere in the US.

Second, Cricket withholds your personal telephone records, and will not release them until you pursue legal or arbitration routes in order to obtain what Cricket requires to give you your personal records -- part of the service that you are paying for. Specifically, Cricket requires a subpoena that a judge needs to sign, which is then served to Cricket. But where and how?

I spent many hours online looking for this information. I need the phone records to get reimbursed for business calls by my employer. IN the past, I had T-Mobile as my cell phone carrier. My T-Mobile statement showed all the calls I made, the times and the duration. This is what I am required to do with Cricket according to their overseas staff--I need a subpoena signed by a judge in in order to get access to my telephone records.

I left T-Mobile for Cricket because it was less expensive, and because I just happened upon a Cricket store with a very kind and efficient manager. The savings are not worth it. And the kindness and efficiency of the manager at the one store were rare exceptions. I did not figure out how to obtain a subpoena from Cricket's customer service. The company seems to have transitioned into the new era of outsourcing call centers overseas. Unfortunately, the call center staff is poorly trained. They do not know how to converse in understandable English, and they do not know how to master skills and knowledge they need to help customers.

I have had multiple bad experiences when I call the customer support line - 800 274 2538 and at local retail stores. For example, I am writing this review while waiting on hold for 50 minutes. The Call Center person keeps having to ask her supervisor these questions: What is the name and address of Cricket's CEO that my lawyer needs to include in the arbitration/lawsuit's defendant line? What should be the wording on the subpoena? I expect to be a few thousand dollars short by the time I get access to my telephone records between lawyer's fees and foregoing reimbursement for work-related calls. In the meantime, please spread the word that Cricket Wireless may not be a good option for your needs if you need access to your telephone records for work, family or reimbursements, and if you need assistance from customer support for any reason.

My wife decided she wanted the iPhone Pro Max and wanted to go with Cricket Wireless. Now, she's been with Simple Mobile for around 7 yrs and me for about 15yrs, (I'm not switching). So we go to the stores. No one has the phones in stock, was told to go online and order it, it'll only take a few days to ship. Ok, fine...So I thought.. we order the phone. Had the number setup to be ported over. Get confirmation and wait for phone to be delivered. Wife's excited by this point. So she wakes up and sees a message that the phone is going to be delayed. Um, what happened to next day shipping? We had expected to have the phone before at least Weds, (we ordered around 10am Monday morning).

So call up customer support to find out what's the issue/holdup. They tell us they can't see why it's being held up, only that it's being delayed. I ask to speak to a supervisor for more clarification. Supervisor comes online and was like, "Yeah it's being delayed. Don't know why but it should be there by Weds, delay said it would take 2 days". So I ask, "Well wasn't it supposed to be shipped same day? Do I get a credit on account or discount for having to have to wait?" Uh, "No, we can't give you a discount, but if you sign up for Auto-Pay you'll save $5 a month." I'm like what? That's your suggestion. I'm already signed up for Auto-Pay but I'm thinking I'm gonna cancel once/if we finally get the phone. Will update tomorrow. I'll NEVER EVER switch to cricket. Bad first time experience.

Ok I understand that but I expect to be compensated for the days of lost use. Called in 3 separate times and was hung up on twice by supervisors. The representatives can barely speak English and don't care to fix the issues or even offer a solution to the problem. If I'm paying $120 a month for my family to have phone service for 30 days then that's what I expect. I've been a loyal customer of Cricket for over 5 years now. I was intrigued with what Cricket Wireless had to offer as being one of those “other” carriers. I found that they are only cheaper, if you don’t need much data. The cheaper plans restricts you to 3mbps. The price goes up for more data, making it close to the big carrier prices. Since they are AT&T, the quality of calls is good. So, if you are more into calling than texting, this is a pretty good deal. They offer a fee phone, which, I really didn’t want any of them. Of course you can purchase a newer model iPhone or Android. Customer service is good and they have stores everywhere. All in all I liked Cricket.

So I wanted to bring your own device (byod) from ATT to Cricket. Searched on their web with my IMEI number and it stated it was compatible. Got to the store and initiated the process and they said it was connecting great. So we checked it in the store and it was not connecting. Called several customer reps for troubleshooting and they could never get it working after 3 hours!!!! So I asked to be refunded as the service never worked. They then stated I couldnt get a refund and that I would need to take the device home or to att and have them to program it... That doesnt sound right as I'm not a technician... I have no idea why it's not connecting and how can att give me the info to connect to cricket just because the device originally came from ATT.

So basically they told me that I paid $55 and that I would have to try and get the device working and I would not be refunded. A TOTAL RIPOFF!!! So basically, they took my money AND refused to get the device working and eventually said it was incompatible despite the cricket website said it was just to get me to pay upfront and then say there's no refund!!!! Please do yourself a favor and save yourself time. Stay away from cricket wireless!!!! They should not had told me it was compatible if it wasnt.
