Was very disappointed. Was suppose to get 2 free phones, no activation fee for porting our numbers. We took our phones in with our numbers and passwords. We didn't have our account numbers with us. We were sold 2 new phones, plus paid activation fees, were told we couldn't port our numbers. We had a friend ride us there. She had to get back to work, so made a fast decision we now strongly regret. The service we received was substandard. We were definitely deceived by false advertising.

Last month, I came back to Cricket Wireless for service. I ported my number from Metro PCS and purchased a Samsung Galaxy S8. My plan was the $50, 8G plan. I decided on Cricket because of the “no contract” service plan that is offered, just as I chose Metro PCS previously for the same reason. On May 30th, I decided that Straight Talk would be a better fit service-wise for me. I purchased the kit from Walmart and called Cricket to port my number and deactivate my sim card so I can activate Straight Talk. I was told by the Cricket Rep that that transaction was a successful one but when I went to activate the Straight Talk on my phone, it was locked.

I called Cricket back on the 31st. The rep subsequently gave me the unlock and PUK codes but neither successfully worked. When I called Cricket back to complain, the rep told me that Straight Talk personnel had to be the ones to use the codes to unlock my Cricket phone. I called Straight Talk after I spoke with the rep yesterday afternoon. The Straight Talk rep said that Cricket needed to unlock the phone.

I called Cricket back and the rep told me to go into the Cricket store to get help and if help couldn’t be given, we (meaning the store rep and I) could call and escalate the problem to IT. When I got to the store, the rep (Anna) informed me that Cricket would NOT have given me codes because I needed to be on the plan for 6 months or have unlimited data to be unlocked. Both conditions I was not made aware of because I have been with Cricket before solely because of the “no contract” feature and price point. When I told her that I did receive codes, we both contacted Cricket again, codes were confirmed again and again, the rep pointed fingers at Straight Talk and refused to escalate the problem as the previous rep said would happen if and when the codes didn’t work. She (the phone rep) gave me a complaint address.

My issue is this: 1. Locking a phone is the same to me as forcing me into a plan for “x” amount of time like a contract. 2. I purchased my phone outright and should be able to put it on any network of my choosing at any time. 3. According to Anna, I would have to port back to Cricket, pay for a new sim card and another activation fee in addition to paying for the first month of service. This will run me another $100 or so in addition to the money I have already spent on Straight Talk ($90) and the phone purchase last month (over $700). I do not have money coming out of my behind to keep doing these things. 4. I am in limbo with no real service on my phone. I have 3 children along with a host of family, friends, associates, etc who may need to contact me in an emergency. This cell phone is my only phone, home or otherwise. I need to be able to use my phone NOW.

I am extremely angry and hugely disappointed in the changed practices of Cricket. This is not the company I recall having in the past. I have filed complaints with BBB, Consumer Protection Agency and the Federal Trade Commission and now, Consumer Affairs. I am in the process of sending complaints to the corporate office as well. Don't go to Cricket! They are not about customer first anymore.

All I want is to be able to use my phone as I see fit. At bare minimum, I would appreciate a service credit for the new sim card and activation fee I would have to pay to come back. Although I would prefer not to have to pay the first month of service again, at least that makes sense to me. Having to pay for the activation fee and sim card for practices of the reps that should have alerted me to the consequences when I made my request to switch is unacceptable to me.

I've been with Cricket for the past 6 months. I thought it would be a good idea to save money because my children and I all needed phones, and I liked the idea of the discount for multiple lines. However, the customer service experience has been AWFUL. First of all, there are some things they just can't do online. And, then, when you call the customer service center, you get someone who can barely speak English and who doesn't seem to have a clue how to do anything.

Recently, I filed a claim with the insurance because my phone broke. I was sent a refurbished phone that I could not get into because it was locked by Google. I called the customer service. The first guy couldn't even find my account. The second guy finally found my account and said he couldn't do anything, so he transferred me to the insurance company. The insurance company transferred me to the warranty person. The warranty person transferred me back to the insurance company. Then, she kept complaining that she couldn't hear me, that she couldn't understand me. Mind you, I paid the insurance premium of $7 a month plus the deductible of $75, and I still do not have a phone that works. No one at Cricket seems to know how to help me either.

On 5/11/17 I upgraded my phone to the LG Stylo 2 for $129.00 and was made to buy a $50 month service even though my service was already on and current. total paid was $170.49 including tax. My service was suspended on 5/26/17 for non payment which I understand because I am on a group plan, but they already double dipped on my service!! I paid $80.00 for 30 days of service total. My $30.00 I already had, then the $50.00 they made me buy with the phone. When I checked my acct, there was a $10.00 credit, looked today and even that's gone? Cricket Wireless is very misleading to the point where I feel I was robbed of the $50.00!!

I contacted Cricket only to have them tell me that the $50.00 went towards the purchase of the the phone. Why may I ask, was the phone not advertised at the correct price? Online it says the phone is $129.00, on the receipt it says $199.00. It's very confusing I am very upset and am looking into finding others that have dealt with this issue. This practice of misleading people needs to stop!

My experience at this location 3479 Memorial Dr. Ste. 7A Decatur, GA 30032 was a nightmare. I paid $40.33 to upgrade my service from $30.00 plan to $40.00 plan and signed up and paid on 5/28/2017. I left the location. When I got home the phone is suspended. I was confused why that happened, the next day I went to the same location to find out what the problem was, this teenage Oriental young boy if it is true he told me his name is ** which I doubt, from the beginning you can tell from his face he doesn't want help even see me.

I ask him my problem any way. He ask me my phone number and my PIN number and told him, and he ask me $13.00 to turn on my phone, and I ask him, "Why should I pay this $13.00 dollars that they didn't tell me yesterday", the response was, "Get out of here". I ask refund and cancel my service. He don't want do anything, I ask the manager to see. He don't wanna call nobody, and he become very provocative and aggressive and I left the location without working phone, without explanation and without my money. I went to other location and paid extra money just to get by this month, and I will stop my service from them. I will advise anyone please think twice before you start getting service, they tell you one thing and do the opposite. After that if you scream they don't care. Especially if your color is **. Most definitely you are going to have extra headache.

I was in our local Cricket Wireless store this afternoon to update the payment method for auto pay for my daughter's cell service and, to put it mildly, the "customer service" girl had absolutely no intention of helping resolve my problem. Minimal effort. Unfriendly. Uncooperative. Gee, I'm really sorry I interrupted your otherwise quiet day with the purpose of your position and the reason you get a paycheck. I've experienced this poor quality customer service with a different location and a different account. Looks like it's time to walk away from these jokers and get some decent service elsewhere. If I could give negative stars to the Castroville, TX Cricket Wireless location, I would.

It's worth it when you consider the price difference. As far as customer service goes, they are average, about what you expect from any other carrier. Also, you have to pay online or in store. There isn't a place to send a check, but the Quick Pay is a nice feature.

I used Cricket Wireless for several months. Unfortunately, their service was very bad (not able to connect, delayed or dropped calls, etc.) so I switched carriers. Unfortunately, they had already taken my "prepaid" service fee out of my account. And they say don't refund for unused service. If I pay for something and only use part, they must refund the unused portion. I strongly suggest NOT using Cricket Wireless. Their coverage and service are not worth the hassle.

Worst experience I have ever had and I used to work for Cricket Wireless... from 9 am to 9 pm Cricket Wireless CUSTOMER service could not successfully bring my active cellular phone number over from MetroPCS... Each Representative kept apologizing and I had to get a supervisor every time I called in and explain from start to finish what the problem was. I even conferenced in MetroPCS with Cricket Wireless which as a returning CUSTOMER I should not have had to do. Then to make things even worse I bought a $30 Cricket Wireless refill from Best Buy which Cricket CUSTOMER service says they can't use? Then why are they branded Cricket Wireless and for sale at Best Buy where I bought the Cricket Wireless branded refill card from?

I must have called every hour on the hour, AT&T Did the number switch within 10 minutes and called me personally to confirm activation was successful. All Cricket Wireless did was create trouble tickets and case numbers which didn't resolve the issue at all... They should change their name to "** WIRELESS", Bunch of worthless IDIOTS With jobs...

I purchased a screen pro. The manager Sylvia helped me. She knew the screen protector didn't look like it would fit but still put it on. I didn't like that it didn't fit. And wanted a refund. She wouldn't refund my money. I was looking for a Sprint store to purchase my pro. But there wasn't a store in that town. She assumed I was a Cricket customer even though I told her I bought my phone at Sprint. Because of her so-called expertise, I ended up with a screen prot. that didn't fit and with a $27.00 loss. All she could say was sorry. As a manager, she didn't even try to help resolve my problem, her mess up.

I filed a claim on May 4, 2017 because of a damaged phone. I was told I would receive a replacement phone in 1-3 business days. When several days later, it wasn't received, I called back and was told they would NOW process the 2nd part of my claim. Once I finally received the replacement phone, it was defective. It would only turn on to a blue screen. So, I called back and, again, was told I'd have a replacement phone in 1-3 business days. After waiting for over a week, I called again and was told they'd process the 2nd part of my claim.

All of this was after talking to real people; not automated. In the meantime, my auto pay is coming out of my banking account for a phone I haven't been able to use for weeks. This was a Christmas present for our son. We had planned on switching my husband and my phones to Cricket. After this experience, there is no way we'd ever switch and will probably ditch the Cricket phone and go with AT&T for our son's phone all well. Very frustrating experience.

On May 3rd 2017 I switched to Cricket Wireless and got two free phones. One for me and one for the girlfriend. Each phone was on a 50$ plan and we wanted to add insurance on our phones for 7$. Because yesterday was the 7th day they told us it couldn't be done. When I called Customer service 611 from my phone I told her that I went to one store by me and asked the lady to add the insurance. She said, "Sorry you had to do that when you bought the phone at their location." The lady on 611 said, "Won't make a difference going to the store because you're not getting the insurance anyway and our customer reps were to ask you before leaving the store."

I told her they never did only ask us about a phone case or shield for phone and when I called the store the guy says, "Oh well deal with it." I never been treated like this. At the end of the month I'm going somewhere else. The guy in the store where I got our phones said, "You can buy another phone if it breaks and then we can put insurance on it." I told him, "I'm done. You lost a customer." Don't go to Cricket for your phones.

On May 9th I visited a cricket store in Bergenline Avenue, Union City NJ. I currently have a cricket account which I opened in less than a month and I wanted to add a 2nd phone for my business. I spoke with a Edgar the salesperson who set up a second line on an LG X power phone, asked me for my credit card and charged me. I noticed he gave me a NJ number so I mentioned I needed a NY number for my business. He told me he will need to charge $15.00 to change the number and that I should have told him in the beginning and he could not change it.

He then handed me the phone but it was not working. I asked him what was wrong and he responded he did not know. Maybe something wrong with the phone. I asked to speak to the manager after asking him to return my money which he said he could not do. His manager was less than helpful, seemed like he didn't care and told Edgar not to return my money. I felt ripped off and I was left with a number I did not want, A phone that was not working and the money I paid to activate the phone and was told by Edgar to contact cricket customer service. I left the store very angry and decided to contact customer service to try to resolve this issue.

After several hours of trying to get my phone to work I was told by Vincent at the cricket customer service line to call the LG support line to find out why the phone doesn't work. After speaking with the LG support agent I was told the phone was not compatible with the Cricket Network. The phone is CDMA Technology and Cricket uses APN. I don't understand why the salesperson Edgar did not see that and proceeded to attempt to activate it, charge me for a sim card that would not work on the phone and refuse to refund my money leaving feeling Ripped off and stuck with this problem.

I called Cricket toll free number and asked to speak to a supervisor Cruz and was told I paid in cash which was not true. I used my credit card for this purchase. Every time I call I get someone outside the US. I called back and asked them to disconnect the number and was told I will lose $40 activation fee. I am very upset from this whole situation and will be disconnecting my primary number and telling everyone I know of my experience with this company.

I was wondering how many citizens here have used our local Cricket phone service and what your experience has been? I have started using Cricket mid Feb of this year, because it was local and it was now suppose to be AT&T. I have had nothing but a bad experience from day one with nothing but lies and extreme costs. I have dealt with each person in the local store and any service rep I can on the phone with each recurring issue. With no good result from anyone and it's fair to share my personal experience as a precaution to you for your future expense and knowledge and from there you can make your own personal choice. I had bought a phone and started my service with Cricket in mid Feb of this year. The phone I wanted was not in our local store so I was sent to the Franklin store and purchased and activated my phone.

The next day I was having activation issues and as this was a new phone to me I was not familiar with many of the features. And the activation wasn't set up right. I went to our local Dickson store for help. Kyle was able to help me and also explained to me about a computer service on main street that he said was contracted with Cricket and would help with any phone issues we needed. (1st this was a new phone I should need anything) I left satisfied my phone was working. The next few days my husband had also bought a phone and service from Cricket and wanted to have his contacts and some business stuff transferred from his old phone to the new one and was also told to see this computer guy on main street for help. (Only to visit this place and find out he DOES NOT HAVE ANY CONNECTIONS WITH CRICKET, and does not know anything about phones, only computers.) That was our first lie told to us.

About 3 weeks later, my phone froze up. So I returned to the store and Kyle reset things for me and I was again happy when I left the store. Another few days past when my phone froze up again. Kyle request I send it back to the company for repair saying it might be a software issue and it was still in the 12 month warranty so they may fix it or send me a new phone. So, here is when the problems and expense started adding up. As I go through the proper steps requested to return my phone and talking with the online phone service I find that in spite of the 12 month phone warranty and the insurance I paid for with my plan, it still requires me to pay a 75 dollar fee along with the shipping cost to return the one month old phone for the factory repairs it needed. Reluctant and frustrated, I returned the phone for repairs.

Now thinking I will be without a phone for 2 weeks I returned to the store to see what can be done to help me with a phone until mine returned. And discussing this with them the only choice I could think to do was to by a new cheap $20 phone to get me through this repair period. Again no help from our local cricket employees and customer representatives insurance or warranty help. I purchased another phone. I am charged $10 more for a new SIM card and a $15 activation fee. When I asked about using the sim card from the phone being sent back I was told I can't use it because it would deactivate the phone and VOID the warranty. At this point I'm so very agitated in this service I have invested in. Is not helping me with the cost process to replace or repair the phone they have sold me that is having these problems so soon after purchase. And paying insurance fees and their 12-month warranty is of no help or benefit at all.

And no local help from the store as everything was needing to be done by calling the customer service number. So after fees and sending back my one month old phone I am out another $200 more dollars for my one month old warrantied and insured phone. I bought a ZTE Grand Max 4 phone and a Max 2 phone was returned to me. However, I went on with this phone annoyed but it was working until yesterday when started using it and none of my programs would open. So upon their past instructions I rebooted this phone only to have the Cricket logo to return and it was frozen up again.

By now I'm knowing this process and expense I am going to have to endure yet again. I return to the store for help. Knowing that this issues has occurred 4 times since I bought this phone and needing a phone in the meanwhile and paying insurance and this phone warranty I feel this store should help me in whatever is needed to get this all handled in whatever way possible. I was told yet again the only choice was to again call the customer service line and file an insurance claim. OK I cannot call anyone. You see my phone is frozen. I need your assistance in helping me, as you are here employees to Cricket. They pay you to deal with things and I am your customer and you know my issues from the beginning. It's all recorded on the calls I've made to customer service and I feel this is what a local store at any other service store has ever done for customers. It's how it works I would think.

"NOPE we cannot help you." she replies with no offer to help me or call customer service for you in your behalf to help their customers. You are on your own for anything needed when you have trouble. Mind you they are glad to take more of my money to reactivate my cheap phone again for me at the cost of another sim card and activation fee. Because remember I cannot use the one in the phone because this would void its warranty. So that's my offer with another insurance form and $75 dollar fee for repair and the shipping cost again of which I just did 3 weeks ago and the 15 dollar fee to reactivate my phone when it came back from repair. I then chose to count my losses and the lesson I learned and went to Walmart and my dear hubby set me back up with a new Verizon Straight Talk phone of which I was content with for 5 years before all this.

I have had phones last me years. I have only dropped one on my bathroom floor and cracked a screen. I only changed hoping for the option of a local service rep that would speak English and because cricket was now AT&T a service that is generations old in America!! That did not pay off too well for me. Thought it very difficult and expensive. So this is my point in sharing my issue. Cricket is a very expensive service and they do not have helpful local or online customer service. Sorry this is so long. But I hope it serves to you helpful before you make a choice in phone service. Whatever choice you make, read the reviews. As now I have read many many bad reviews on Cricket that sound much like mine and I wish I had read them upfront. Please read up and ask questions before choosing any service.

Cricket Wireless does utilize AT&T service which was the reason for establishing service with Cricket in 2015 upon relocating to Windber PA area which has limited service coverage for its competitor Sprint (Virgin Mobile). In 2015 establishing service was quick and easy, purchased a free Nokia phone after porting a previous number and avoided activation fees by doing so online. Service was great even after relocating to Lewistown PA area. In 2017 decided to purchase another free phone with ported number (Samsung Amp 2) after cancelling service in 2016 with no problem. Email correspondence from Cricket indicated the number could be successfully ported although 24 hours after applying for the phone. A cancellation notice arrived claiming Cricket was unable to verify information.

Several calls to Cricket customer service, activation, department, and authorization produced no information as to why Cricket was unable to verify information. One representative suggested using a different credit card after 3 failed attempts with a debit card although the $40 monthly fee was authorized and later removed from the card. When using a different credit card, the software indicated the mailing address did not match the billing address although the credit card company indicated they did indeed match.

Overall 5 failed attempts were completed online, local stores indicated they were unable to activate a phone for free nor could they accept payment for service permitting the customer to activate the phone online if ported. An online attempt failed with assistance from a representative after guiding for 1 hour through the process suggesting that it was not customer error and the cards were valid as they both are used daily without issues. Either Cricket is forcing customers to purchase products in stores to pay fees that can be avoided online or they refuse to acknowledge the software needs modified.

I tried to sign up for Cricket Wireless in September '16 at a local store and spent 3+ hours there while they tried to figure out how to transfer my number over to their service. I finally gave up and went to another store a few days later and was in and out in 30 min. Everything was good until April '17 when my credit card that was on my auto-pay account expired, so I went to the first (I will refer to them as "STUPID") store to have my info updated. The person updated my account, but deleted my auto-pay. I got the text telling me this and that I could re-enroll by tapping the link. So I did. 2 weeks later, I receive another text telling my payment was due. SO!!! Once again I went to the "STUPID" store and told them my auto-pay was deleted, so I needed it re-instated.

I then got stories about how incompetent the person who updated my credit card info was. Then I told them I needed to pay my bill because I can't get online for some reason. Since this was the due date, he should have known just re-instating my auto-pay account wasn't going to pay that day's bill. As I left "STUPID" store, I asked how much I had paid for my bill that day, and the clerk said "$45". May 1st, my phone was disconnected due to non-payment. SO ONCE AGAIN I WENT BACK TO STUPID STORE TO DEMAND AN ANSWER!!! Yet another person behind the desk, and this is only 5 days later. He showed me that not only hadn't a payment been submitted, but auto-pay STILL wasn't active (At least I had the receipt this time saying it was set up). PLUS he told me I had to pay a $5 late fee to get my phone reconnected.

I literally started jumping up and down while I yelled "WHY SHOULD I PAY FOR A LATE FEE WHEN YOUR PEOPLE TOLD ME IT WAS PAID AND IT WASN'T??? IT IS YOU THAT ** UP!! NOT ME!!!" He went on to talk about there is nothing he can do about it except give me the customer service number. I walked out of "STUPID" store for the last time. If you are keeping count, they are 0 for 4 at helpfulness and 4 for 4 at ** everything up.

So I went to the only store that was helpful, and explained once again what happened. He was very helpful and even contacted Cricket and explained what had happened and if the $5 fee could be waived. Cricket responded, "NO!!" Reason? I didn't check within 24 hours to make sure it was paid. WHO THE HELL CALLS EVERYWHERE THEY SHOP THE NEXT DAY TO MAKE SURE THEIR CREDIT OR DEBIT PURCHASE WENT THROUGH??? I don't, and Cricket isn't going to make me start either. Right now I still haven't reconnected my phone, and am now shopping around for another carrier.

After the first week of waiting I called and asked what was taking so long, all they would tell me is "your order is still processing" so I was patient for another week. I called again they told me the same thing, so I filed a complaint and in the middle of our conversation the person hung up on me. Its now April 24th. Still have heard nothing about the phone. Every time I call they hang up on me or get annoyed and transfer me. And on top of all of that, they keep sending me emails IN SPANISH telling me to write a review on the phone I never received and probably will never receive. Another thing is I spent around $30 on this whole thing and they won't refund me even though I never even received the phone.

I signed up for Cricket on March 4, 2017. I switched from Verizon, kept my phone and was told that I qualified for a $50 switcher credit since I brought my own device. I was initially going to keep my number, but there were so many hoops to jump through, and since my dad was the owner of the original Verizon account I didn't have access to it, so I just got a new number. I was told that I would get the $50 credit after paying the first month. Well April rolled around and my account was charged, so I called them and they told me there was no $50 switch promotion. Okay, what gives? They told me to go back into the store I switched at, and the guy pulled up the promotion and explained that it would credit my account after 45 days if my account was in good standing. Okay, sweet.

45 days have now come and gone and still no credit. I call again, and they tell me now that I don't qualify because I didn't bring my phone number with me. She just kept parroting the policy at me. Okay, I understand that I don't qualify, but that's not what I was led to believe. I signed the contract under the assumption, as I was SPECIFICALLY TOLD, that I would be getting a $50 credit. I ask to speak with a manager, and she says the same thing, “I don't qualify, sorry about your luck.”

Okay, but here's what happened: I was either lied to or unintentionally misinformed about your promotion. EITHER WAY, this is NOT my fault, and the customer should not be held accountable for the mistake of the employees. I even asked what else she could do for me, and she said she's not qualified to do anything, I'd have to go to the store, that I've already been to TWICE. YOU'RE THE MANAGER FOR GOD'S SAKE. I told her, in no uncertain terms, that she could add the credit, or Cricket would be getting some serious negative feedback for false advertising from the BBB. She basically told me "go ahead do it, see if I care." Worst customer service ever. I'm going in a THIRD TIME tomorrow and if they don't have anything for me, I'm switching. I'm not paying another cent to this company if they're going to make their customers pay for their mistakes.

The download speeds are ridiculously slow and are even worse during peak congestion times, texts sometimes are missed or take forever to send and receive, calls constantly drop or are missed, I could go on. Their network is horrible. There are still a lot of dead zones too. I think they've dropped a lot of towers even though AT&T runs them. Whatever you do, go with someone else. I am a 66 year old person that is living on social security. When I get my check at the beginning of the month, I pay all bills for the month, whether they are due or not, and whatever is left is what I have to spend the rest of the month. My Cricket bill was not due until the 19th, but I paid it on April 1. The total paid was $90. That is quite a large amount for a retired person, but I paid for a family plan. I cancelled service on April 15th due to the fact that the Microsoft phone (with Windows) no longer supported the messenger service and was told I would need to buy new phones to upgrade. I am unable to afford such a purchase, so I changed to another supplier and got the new Android phones for free.

I called Cricket to get my $90 PREPAYMENT back and was told that there are no refunds for this as I was the one that cancelled the account! I understand no refunds in the middle of the month, but this was as I said PREPAYMENT and not even due yet!!! I will be getting an attorney if necessary to try to get my $90 back... And I will also post this on all social media, ie. newspapers, Facebook, Twitter and anything else I can think of so others will know not to pay their bill until the day it is due! I don't believe that Cricket can justify keeping my $90 PREPAYMENT AT ALL! I wonder how many other people have been bilked out of their money and not able to get it back... THIS IS JUST COMPLETELY WRONG!!!

Was a generally satisfied customer for about three years. Decent coverage on the AT&T network and we don't use enough data to worry about throttled back speeds. About ten months ago I upgraded to a LG smartphone. Last month it began experiencing trouble. Had to jump through a few hoops, but eventually they sent me another (reconditioned) LG phone of the same model. Seemed to transfer the settings well but a day or two later calls were not coming in or out. Instead, outgoing calls were being transferred to their call center.

Turns out the reconditioned phone they sent me was on the National Call Block list. This means the phone was reported by the last owner to lost, stolen, etc. or the carrier hot-listed it due to unpaid bills/contract breach, etc. Two reps I spoke to indicated my case was not unique. They said they would fix the Cricket list "quickly" but getting it off the national list would take "longer". Got estimates varying from a few days to several weeks. They would not send me another phone or set me up with a loaner from a local store a few minutes away even though they acknowledged this was their error. The "quickly" removal from the Cricket hot list became "30-60 minutes" on my second call to customer service the following day. It actually took three days. There is a site to check the IMEI number and it still has not been cleared from the national list sixteen days later. So calls to/from other carriers still don't work.

I also had to put $215 deposit on my card to ensure the old phone was not damaged. UPS tracking showed they had it on Friday, April 7, yet the charge had not been reversed as of Friday, April 14 when I called them yet again. They said it would come off the following Tuesday to Friday, acknowledging that they had the old phone. A few hours later, the charge was reversed. I'm sure my call was unrelated to this (yea, right). I'm voting with my feet and switching carriers.

Cricket Wireless is pretty good as a carrier of wireless service. They use the AT&T network. Better hope you don't have any problems, though, because their call center is a total disgrace. A few months ago, I had to add 1GB one-time data to my account, at three different points during the month. Each time I went on to the My Cricket Android app, selected the 1GB of data, then paid with my debit card. The charge immediately appeared on my debit card, but for some reason Cricket never acknowledged my payment and my account was still stuck in "throttled" 2G mode for being over my plan data. I work in the middle of the night sometimes, and of course their customer service is closed until 7:30AM ET.

Similar issue another time. I paid my monthly bill on the My Cricket app. The charge came out of my bank account via my debit card immediately, but for whatever reason Cricket never acknowledged the payment, so my service got turned off, cutting off my ability to make calls or use data. Of course this was at 1 in the morning so they were closed. Worse, when I did call in, they blamed it on me for not paying. It required 2 Supervisors to rectify the problem.

After that I figured I'd try their Twitter support for my next issue. If I have one suggestion for all Cricket customers, it is use their Twitter support and do not call their call center! Twitter Support is based in the USA, and the call center is overseas somewhere. I had major language barrier issues with the call center agents, plus they don't seem to have any sort of empowerment or explanations for anything other than a script they read. Twitter Support can actually fix things.

Extremely disappointed in this company's sales tactics and customer loyalty. I've been with C Spire from the beginning of cell phones (throughout the many name changes). And would still be with them if I had known Cricket was lying to me about the plan I signed up for. I specifically asked about caps on the high speed data or possible future caps on the unlimited planned they were so eager to sign me up for. They assured me it was all legit and no changes would be made. They used this to get me to sign with them and leave the only cellular company I'd ever known. They poor mouthed their competitors for using the unlimited term and then slapping a cap on the high speed data. They said that's the reason I should be a cricket customer. I fell hook, I line, and sinker...

How can you ever trust or even come to like or be satisfied with a company that begins the relationship with lies??? I could even understand if they did not offer the plan to new customers if they were not happy with their own plan that they so eagerly promoted. But to take it away from existing customers they've already sold to is the most unprofessional and unethical thing they could possibly do. Now that I am limited to my high speed internet I can barely look at Facebook. At times I can't even do that. But to download or stream now is a freaking joke.

I'm trying to find out if what they have done is even legal. I don't see how it can be. It sounds to me like they even tried to cover their butts by knocking $5 off the "UNLIMITED" plan but telling us we had to go into an office to sign up for the savings. Of course to sign their new contract with the "not" unlimited high speed data. So it would void the contract they used to sign us up with Cricket that offered unlimited high speed data. Be very careful with this company because they have been well trained on how to deceive you or they are the most poorly trained bunch of corporate folks I've ever seen. Not sure which, but either does not offer any future customer satisfaction awards.

I have never had an issue with dead spots, dropped or broken calls. Never have I been throttled, AND (unlike my last carrier T-Mobe,) NEVER had an issue with unavailable data signal because it couldn't penetrate a building, or land obstacles.

Yes, Cricket's LTE speed is capped to around 9 Mbs vs. ATT's 15 or so. Folks - this is not like comparing dial-up to broadband. Cricket service is unstable at best! Continual service interruptions without billing adjustments. Cricket reps are ALL Mexicans with chips on their shoulders! I called to cancel a line of service and the Mexican rep refused to cancel the line. I requested a partial refund due to cancelling the line 10 after prepaying for the service. The rep was very rude and refused to credit my account.

I have experienced problems with Cricket for 5 months. I spent 100's of hours in the phone with Mexican reps that don't know anything, but how to make excuses and waste my time and money! I found Cricket reps to be racists and discriminating against me. I just spent $600 in their store to be treated like garbage! Consumer beware!!

On March 4, 2017, I purchased a cell phone for my grandson's 11th birthday. Before I had a chance to give him the phone his parents informed me that they had bought him a phone a few days before his birthday. March 12, 2017, I went back to the Cricket store to return the phone. I was told that they do not accept returns after 7 days, but they were willing to make an exception and allow me to return the phone. Then I was told that they would have to charge me a $25.00 re-stocking fee. I only paid $20.00 for the phone.

My complaint is, nowhere on the receipt do they disclose their return policy, or the stocking fee charge. I called customer service to complain, and they apologized for not disclosing this pertinent information on their receipts. I asked for the corporate phone number and was told by customer service that the number is not available. I was thinking about switching my phone service over to Cricket but have changed my mind. What else do they not disclose.

After contacting Cricket about the phone and that it was not as advertised, they told me that I would have to return it that day with a deposit for $129 even though the phone only cost $19.99. Cricket customer service did nothing for the customer, no apology, no offer to send a replacement immediately, etc. even though what they advertised and sold was misrepresented and entirely their fault. I recently ran into some family issues and didn't pay my bill on time. I called to arrange a bridge payment and explained my situation to the supervisor. The supervisor I spoke to and the representative were very caring and understanding of my situation so they advised me they could help me out with the bridge payment by crediting my account half of what is required for the bridge payment and I pay the remainder. This all happened on a Sunday night so all Cricket Wireless retailers, and authorized stores were closed.

My only resort was to go to a payment center like Acme, Wal-Mart or CVS to make my half of the bridge payment. I contacted the first payment center ahead of time and explained what was going on. The employee advised me I should be fine making the payment there, but didn't explain that there is a FEE whenever you make payments at a payment center. This obviously wasn't the employee's fault but Cricket Customer Service because they didn't mention the fee once during the thirty minute phone call I had with them.

I ended up having to go to Wal-mart and spend money on a prepaid Visa since that was the cheapest option I had. I felt very relieved that I was finally going to be able to get this paid off so I called the customer service line and explained myself again to the Cricket rep so they can check the notes and credit the account. BUT, here's the BEST PART, the Cricket rep somehow couldn't credit the account and claimed that it's not possible to. Keep in mind that I was supposed to be on a bus to see my father in the hospital and had to cancel my trip to deal with this issue because I needed to have my phone reactivated before I left for familial, and work related reasons.

I was livid at this point because I was driving around town for over an hour and a half trying to get this issue resolved and had to cancel my trip because of this as well. I demanded to speak to a supervisor because I was told by the everyone of the reps before the last one that I would be credited on my bill. The rep puts me on hold for over 15 minutes then all of a sudden they hang up the call. I tried calling back immediately and it turns out they hung up on me on purpose because they close at 10:00 PM CST. The first rep advised me they're open until 12 AM but I was unaware of the fact that they're in another time zone.

At that point I was speechless at how they've been handling their customer service calls. I am going to call the next day to straighten this out and if they don't credit my account like they promised then I will make sure to write not only to Cricket corporate office in Atlanta, but to every single site I can review the company on along with spreading my experience with Cricket through social media.

I am joining the Army in a month which is why I switched to Cricket. I was just going to toss the phone and get a new plan with T-Mobile after I am finished with basic training, but because of what I've been through with Cricket I seriously, wholeheartedly REGRET switching to Cricket. I'll be sure to write a follow up here the moment I'm done dealing with them the next day, but I honestly do not recommend switching to Cricket unless you really have to which shouldn't be a problem for anyone out there because there are other prepaid services with much better rates and better customer service. Just like their parent company AT&T, Cricket FAILS to meet customer expectations!! STAY AWAY AT ALL COST.

Warranty dept continued telling me phone issue was a Google problem, not the phone. Phone was reset and then would not accept my Google sign in. After several days (About 6) and 25-30 calls, I got lucky and spoke to an English speaker. Stated my issue, she immediately stated, 'sounds like the phone is broke, send it in'. She explained unless a virus was found, they would replace. I sent it in on a Friday & received, what appeared, a new replacement by Wed.

Because amongst the three so-called experts that were working at the Cricket Wireless location in Crestview, Florida, on Wednesday, 02/15/2017, not a single one of them could figure it out. That is unless you count ramming it into the slot with reckless abandon, which was the store manager's (aka "Tattoo Nightmare") idea of a good way to handle my brand new phone that I purchased from a third party vendor for use with Cricket's services, rendering it broken and worthless.

Any responsible business that cares about their customers would offer up a replacement phone or at least an account credit for the inconvenience, right? Not so with Cricket. "There is nothing else we can do for you" is not an acceptable answer in today's competitive business environment, that coming from both store management and Cricket corporate clowns. Not only did they still charge my credit card for the transaction 2 days later, but 10 days later the money is still not in my account, and I had to file a fraud claim through my bank.

I spent a total of 2 hours (3 separate phone calls, and 5 different people) trying to resolve the issue only to be told they thought the money was being refunded but weren't sure. When I double-checked this information with my bank, I found out this was a lie and there was no refund being processed. All I have to say is they are really dumb, super shady, or both. I have been a cricket customer for about 2 years. I had never needed customer service before the past week. So here is my feedback on my past weeks experience with cricket... Every time I try to log into my account I have to reset my password. Very inconvenient. I had one customer service person who was rude and interrupted me when I would try to answer questions he had asked me. I had another one not know how to help me. Another who couldn't help me activate the phone I ordered. The last one a very nice girl helped me. Told me to go to cricket.com/activate. I worked so fast. Why don't the other customer service people know that?

I tried to order 2 phones. The website would only let me order 1. I placed that order and went on to try to order another one since I wasn't able to order 2 at a time. It wouldn't let me order another one. The customer service guy didn't know why it wouldn't let me order an additional one. I figured it out and told him. Then when the phone came and after 8 phone calls I got it activated. 8. Because your prompts are an endless loop of entering your phone number. So pictured to order another phone. The website said my card is invalid. The same card I ordered the other phone with and my auto pay is on. So I was unable to order an additional phone. So over All cricket has been great for the last year until I needed customer service. Will NO longer recommend. Cricket to my friends or family.

Pros - The service (signal coverage) provided by cricket is wonderful, AT&T's network has excellent coverage in my area. Cricket provides the option to bring your own phone... If you are considering cricket purchase an unlocked phone from ebay or amazon or direct and then bring it to cricket... DO NOT BUY A PHONE FROM CRICKET!!! READ BELOW. The pricing at cricket is unbeatable.

Cons - The customer service is horrible. Cricket has a 7 day (6 days, date of purchase counts against you) return policy, after that you are sold. Cricket does not stand behind its products... I purchased a ZTE Grand max x 2. This phone is horrible it constantly freezes and crashes. Cricket provides a warranty service for 1 year, so I sent in the phone. They sent me a replacement. Well the replacement sucks too. Not only does the replacement exhibit the same problems but they placed it in a bubble wrap sleeve and put it in a box. That's the only protection they provided for shipping... so they obviously don't care about the product.

The customer service representatives in the store need serious attitude adjustments, they do not make you feel welcome nor care about any complaints you have. I'm currently stuck with a "$150 dollar phone" (yes it's in quotes because it isn't worth $5 bucks in my opinion...). I'll be using an unlocking service and selling this phone... hopefully to recuperate some of my loss. I have chosen to stick with cricket even if the customer service and products they sell are complete trash solely because the prices provided can't be beat... After upgrading I asked to pay my bill and I did so with my debit card. When I woke the next day I realized my phone and all my children's phones were turned off. I contacted customer service and asked, "Why my phones are off when I paid my phone bill in full?" I was directed to a supervisor Mazzie that informed me that I was not charged for my 9.99 upgrade and that even though it was the employee's fault that the correct amount was not charged. When I swiped my card my service was suspended. I informed her that "Fine you can remove the upgrade since I have yet to receive anything and you have cut off all my phones even when a hundred and twenty dollars and change was paid yesterday."

Mazzie informed me that NO CHANGES could be made while my account was suspended so I would have to now pay for a upgrade I no longer wanted (because I was angry and did not want to give them anything more) before my phone lines would be working!!! I asked for someone higher Mazzie's boss and was informed that no one higher takes calls! She informed me that she did not have to give me a employee number or a last name and that there was no one that would care to help me that was higher up than her.

I paid the 9.99 because it was the only way to get my lines that I had already paid for back on and then again asked that "Now that my phones are not suspended can I speak to someone else?" and she informed me that no she was it and if I had a problem with the 9.99 upgrade that I could take it up with my bank. I now see why Cricket Wireless is affordable. Because they do not care about their customers they only take our money and refuse to even speak with their customers when there is a problem that was wrong and not of their doing! When someone representing your company does something wrong you should be able to have it fixed!!!

I keep calling but they keep telling me what day I should call back to have change process because of some bull about their billing system. So last January on the 11th, 2017 I called and it was confirmed that they will start autopay on the 9th instead of the 7th. I originally asked for the 10th because I get paid and have direct deposit on the 10th but since my account is posted on the 9th, I didn't mind.

Well to make my story short, this morning (Feb 6th at 9:10 a.m.) I received an automated text reminder that they will be taking $65 from account tomorrow. Immediately, I called Cricket (611) on my cell only to go through hours of bull and run arounds with the first representative only to hung up on me. I asked them since they claim they record the conversations, they needed to review the recording.

The funny thing is before this lady hung up, she repeated what notes the last person I spoke with back in January and clearly it said to be taken out on the 9th and yet she continues to tell me repeatedly that I need to call them back on the 11th of this month because some crap about their billing. So she hung up and tried to block my calls. I finally got through after six attempts or so to be told by another lady the same garbage the first one told me. So now I am back to square one, they will try to take money from my account tomorrow when I do not get paid until the 10th.

I attempted to upgrade my Cricket service using my Cricket app. The initial notice I saw on the app advised the upgrade occurred without an issue. However, I woke up the next morning and my service was completely suspended. No data, no text, no phone. I was baffled as I was in the middle of my billing cycle and wasn't due for another two weeks. I called "customer service" and they said that my payment had actually declined the night before. I told them that was fine, but didn't explain the suspension in the middle of my billing cycle. When that occurred, rather than just leave me as I was since no payment posted, they still upgraded my service to the more expensive plan, but then suspended my account for non payment of that service.

Additionally they gave me a $36 balance that needed to be paid, instead of the initial $6 asked for the upgrade. That suspension then changed my billing cycle from the 7th of the month to the 20th, without my request or knowledge of that. What?! The woman on the phone, and her supervisor, could not change the billing cycle back to the 7th. They could not explain the reason Cricket would still process an upgrade on a declined payment. They literally could tell me nothing and continually repeated their script over and over. I asked for the supervisor's manager and of course there was no one else to talk to. They offered me the physical address of Cricket to MAIL a complaint.

I requested a phone number or an email address given the year in which we live, and they did not have either to provide. Actually, the saddest part of this entire experience was that this was an offshore call center of Cricket's that they use to avoid paying Americans a living wage. Not only were these employees entirely ill equipped to actually resolve any issue, they were being used by Cricket for cheap labor. The entire situation was pathetic and absurd. Do yourself a favor, find a carrier that doesn't have deceptive practices and will not exploit cheap labor in the process of exploiting you (good luck).

Their website offered a discount on a phone with a qualifying monthly plan. I ordered a phone, paid for it and the plan and was supposed to get the phone overnight. Five days later, I called to find out where my phone was and was told the "order had been dropped". They were to continue the order and send out overnight, again. I received my phone 5 days later. As soon as I accessed the phone, it got so hot, I couldn't hold it. After taking it to the local store, I was told it was defective and needed to be returned for another phone. I returned the phone and didn't hear from them for a week, so I called the warranty dept. to find out the status and was told they would not replace the phone since it was ordered online and I would have to lose the monthly plan I had paid for, but they would refund the money for the phone within 10 days. It has now been 15 days, no refund and 30 days without a phone. BIG SCAM.

UPS said they left the order in the front door 6 days ago. However, I was supposed to sign for the order, which I never did. I called Cricket four times got transferred to four different departments, wasted 3 hours with no resolutions.

Cricket blame UPS for not letting me sign for the package and UPS advice to call Cricket for a refund. Cricket refused to refund the $10.69 for the lost SIM card or the $40 prepaid monthly service. If I can't have the chip I can't use their monthly service so my $40 is stolen. I asked to speak to a manager and I waited on the phone for 36 minutes then cricket hang up the phone. I just called my bank to dispute the charge from Cricket. I just had very bad experience with Cricket Wireless and lost 60$ within a couple of hours activation trial. I have a new phone purchased elsewhere with a built in hotspot feature. I just need a service plan that can work with my hotspot in my phone. I checked both local store and online store. I was suggested to purchase the 50 dollars plan and give a try. If not working, I can just cancel. One local rep also told me it should work... I did online service plan order and tried to activate it, but the hotspot didn't work. I called customer service and wanted to cancel, but I was told Cricket didn't refund service plan.

After cycling several calls, one rep told me I could try dispute this charge with my credit card company. My TD bank credit card staff did open the dispute but told me very shortly that they regretted that they could not get the money back. I just lost 60 some dollars within a couple of hours of activation and a few button clicks. I feel I have been schemed. Don't trust Cricket Wireless. Be careful when you sign up service plan especially.

On January 7, 2017 - I went to a Cricket Wireless location to start service. WORST MISTAKE EVER!!! I received the free phone when I ported over from Metro PCS. However, the phone (Lumia 650) did not charge or work properly, it kept blacking out; I had to take out battery to restart phone just to shut it off again. I went in the next day to switch out the phone. The person went in the back and came out with another phone. This one not only did not charge as well; it also blacked out during phone call and I had to take out battery to reset phone. Instead of booting up properly it automatically started on Google with an open web page. How is that possible - the battery was out of the phone for 3 minutes.

When I went back to location at 10829 Olson Drive in Rancho Cordova CA. ** - the rep in charge at the time said that he could switch out the phone. He made all kinds of phone calls just to find one - on the 12 (mind you I was back at their store every day since purchase with issues with this phone) - the rep that was there that day said no I couldn't switch out phone. He even went so far as to call his manager ** whom I have never seen or met (I have been in store for over 2 to 3 hours a day since the 7th to get phone to work). ** told him "absolutely not - she must purchase a phone at full price, pay a reshelving fee of 25.00 for the defective phone, and pay another 40.00 for service fees for new phone."

Wait for it - I paid 40.00 on the 7th (I only had service for 5 days) - they refused to refund my money. They were adamant about keeping the 40.00 I already paid for in their back pockets and charge me another 40.00 on top of that for 1 month service for a phone that does not work. Here's the grand finale - 1-800-Cricket said I have a 7 day window for complete refund and that all locations are franchises so they do their own thing and do not follow company policies. I also informed the rep about that issue and he and his manager ** said "No way. That is not the way it works here with this company." So the grand total to get a working phone from Cricket would be 200.00. The phone listed as 99.99. I will find someone else.

Now, here is why when my service fees run out I will be quitting Cricket. They kept my SD card - it is missing since last time I was there. However, the phone I am using is stating that there is data on an SD card - there is none. He set up the cloud as auto save device. He did something, there is no SD card (pics gone) and it shows that the SD card is being used. I wonder what he did to the old phone. (Yes I am stuck using my piece of junk phone from Metro since Cricket refuses to give me a working phone.)

Now for the icing on the cake - My husband is a manager of a dealership. We are spreading the word about Cricket and that it is a living nightmare. If you value your sanity don't use this company. Maybe if I had done more research before switching over it would've stopped the heartache. There are other issues, but I think that the gist of it was stated. Poor service and they lie about everything.

I am so unhappy with Cricket switched over. First of all we have to have pin # to make a bridge payment. My phone was cut off. My friend tried to pay my bridge payment so they could get my phone turned on but wouldn't let her pay my bill because she didn't have my pin #. Then they are ripping customers off cause they charge a $20 for a bridge payment that used to keep your phone on for a week and then you would have to pay rest of bill on that 7th day or they would cut your phone off but you would still get that $20 toward your bill when you go in to pay it. Now when you pay bridge payment if you don't have it by the 6th day they cut your phone off and they keep your $20. Obviously if I'm only paying bridge payment I'm already having trouble coming up with my payment.

This month on the 6th day I had to put money on a prepaid credit card to pay bill cause store was already closed. When I called to give them card number they said the card was being declined. I was highly upset and couldn't figure out why. Well come to find out they charged me $5 to call in payment on credit card. Well my phone got cut off. I lost my bridge payment. So instead of my phone bill being $56 this month I paid $86. I have been with Cricket for 12 years and they couldn't give me one more day before they took my $20. I wish I could afford a deposit with another carrier cause I would drop cricket like a bad habit but that's the problem. They know people with credit problems and low paying jobs have no choice but to let cricket take advantage of us.

They won't credit anything on to my account for the bad service but they sure take my $70 every month. I'm going back to Boost Mobile where I was for 12 years. Buyer Beware! I paid $169 cash for the terrible ZTE Grand Max 2 and Cricket refuses to take it back. The phone has a severe firmware and software problem (see many reviews all over internet), that causes it to crash 50% of the time when I receive a call. Imagine having to call back everyone who calls, after waiting for the reset. Imagine if some of those calls are essential, like doctors calling you back, or a job interview. I dropped the phone and cracked the screen slightly. I did not make a claim on this as everyone knows no one covers screen repair.

The problems continued with the crashing and freezing because this phone has severe firmware and software issues. I called their warranty and customer service lines many, many times, including being persistent about getting a supervisor and a supervisor's supervisor, and they continued to stonewall on repair or replacement EVEN THOUGH THIS IS COMPLETELY UNRELATED TO THE SCREEN, and consumer laws and their own warranty state clearly that unrelated damages should be covered. This is like refusing to honor a drivetrain warranty in my car because of a scratch on the door. There's plenty of case law on exactly this issue and the law is clear that the firmware/software issue should be covered.

Cricket is a soulless company that doesn't care about its customers. I know, because I have been calling their reps and trying to find a solution for some time. Not only that, their offshore call center is notably undertrained, just following a rote script. If this is what has become of the once grand AT&T, I am very, very sad. If you plan to use a discount carrier, take my advice: Buy an unlocked phone from a dealer that will stand behind it, and leave the discount carrier the second they disappoint you.

This is a review of poor and bad service from both cricketwireless.com and 1-800-CRICKET. First, I visited cricketwireless.com to see their deals. They were promoting "Cyber Deals", which means it was only available online and not offered anywhere else. I decided to accept their online offer and tried to purchase it online, but when I was on the payment page and tried to submit my name, address and credit card information, it repeatedly generated error messages when I clicked Submit. The first error message was "Encryption" error. So, I verified I had correctly entered the information and tried again. Then, I got invalid address error, twice. The problem with Cricket Wireless website is that the company management has decided to not allow their website to accept payments with any PO Boxes and the shipping address must be the same as the billing address with the credit card company.

The website does not allow the buyer to enter both a shipping and a billing address. It only allows the buyer to enter one address and it must be a physical address and it must be the same as the billing address or an error message will appear and it will not process the payment or allow the order. In an attempt to resolve this foolish business decision to allow a buyer to enter both a billing and a shipping address as 99% of websites and Fortune 500 companies do allow a buyer to enter both a billing and shipping address because the billing address may be different, such as a PO Box, I temporarily changed my billing address that was a PO Box to a physical address to accommodate their stupid business decision. After changing my address with my bank and trying to place the order online again, I got another error message that the address was invalid and it was doing the same thing again.

I called 800-CRICKET and she said I must wait 24-48 hours. 800-CRICKET does not accept orders over the phone and none of the stores, which are all independent contractors with the Cricket logo, will not take any online orders and do not offer any online offers, but charge an activation fee and charge more for their phones and would not help me with any online orders after the website errors. So, I waited 24 hours and successfully placed the order online. Within minutes, I received an email with my order receipt details that included my order number, new telephone number and that I would receive a tracking number when it became available.

The next day, instead of receiving a tracking number as promised, I received an "Order Cancellation Notice" that my order had been cancelled. It stated the reason for my cancellation to be either they were unable to verify my information or "you have exceeded the number of line of service that we allow customers to purchase online, but we are unable to complete your online order at this time." I contacted 1-800-CRICKET immediately and Kevin with Cricket customer service answered with a thick Hispanic accent. I explained that what had happened and he asked for the order number. I had to repeat the order number to him 6 times because he kept getting one of the digits wrong and it almost proceeded with the wrong order number, which would have been no help. He looked up the order and read the email message that I had just received and said, "No worry. We will refund your money."

I had asked or said or had no worries about getting a refund because I did not want a refund, but the order fulfilled or a more details for the reason for the cancellation because it was too vague and did not include any contact info in the email that was a no reply and returned undeliverable when I replied to the email. Kevin was not answering my question about the specific info that they could not verify or any reason other than what the email stated and was evasive when trying get any real specific reason for the cancellation or anyone I could talk to that was nobody else and no other departments for this and there was nothing he could do. I tried to escalate it to a supervisor and he put me on hold for a while and then came back and told me the same thing rather than a supervisor coming on the line to answer my questions.

I had to tell him repeatedly that I wanted to speak with someone else and wanted to speak to a supervisor or someone in a higher position, but he continued to argue with me and then put me on hold and after holding, he came back to see if anyone was still on hold and place the call on hold again and then it was disconnected. I waited a few hours and then called 1-800-CRICKET again. I explained the situation and asked for a supervisor. I was placed on hold and then disconnected. I called 1-800-CRICKET again and spoke with a different girl this time. I explained the problem and asked who I could speak with about this problem with the online order cancellation because I had no contact info and it did not state which department sent the email. She said that they have an online order support team, would I her to transfer my call. Sure.

She transfer my call to the Warranty department who could not help me and wanted to transfer me back to her department. My call was transferred back to the customer service department and then back to the Warranty department again and back to the customer service department and I was disconnected again after waiting for a supervisor. I called 1-800-CRICKET again and immediately asked to speak with supervisor or manager. She kept asking for my info, but because of the previous customer service idiots providing poor and bad customer service, I told her that I would give my info to the manager. She placed me on hold for a customer service manager and after a few minutes the customer service manager with an Indian accent came on the line. He was quite good. He listened to my complaints and looked up my order and explained the email.

Although, I completed disagreed with Cricket Wireless business practices, I appreciated his explanation. He stated that once the order is cancelled, they will not fulfill the order or kept the part of the agreement to deliver the order, but will refund the purchase. He also stated that the reason why the system cancelled order was that there were too many failed attempts to place the order and that I would have to wait 5 business days to re-order, but there is no guarantee that I will be able to successfully place the order then because there is a limited supplies and it is while supplies last and the promo ends in 6 days. I asked if he could correct the system error or if there was any way he could fulfill the order without me placing a new order. He replied, no, there is no way, but he did state that he could provide more coaching to his customer service reps.

He stated that Cricket Wireless has decided for their system to be this way for security reasons and that department has not changed. I made several buyer suggestions about their bad business practices concerning their business decision, the way the process online orders, their website not offers a billing and shipping address for each order and reneging on orders that were successfully entered and then cancelled the next day without a proper detailed explanation or contact person. In addition, the poor and bad customer service reps he was responsible for, no Sales department that can take orders over the telephone and no stores that can help with online orders, which are only independent contractors, no Corporate stores.

Finally, I explained to him that if he or someone at Cricket Wireless could not fulfill the order that they agreed to fulfill and then cancelled abruptly without proper notification or contact info, then I had no plan to ever do business with Cricket Wireless again because of all of the reasons already explained and reasons not mentioned. Cricket Wireless obviously does not value their buyers and prospective customers enough to provide what the call Customer Care, but is really Customer Careless Reps that is a direct reflection on not only management, but all Cricket Wireless as company. He said he respected my decision. I thanked him for his info as the only person of a total of 4 Cricket Wireless customer services reps, 2 warranty department reps, 2 store reps and 1 customer service manager who was able to provide me with an answer. His wished me a Happy New Year. The End.

I had to spend hours on the phone trying to figure out what happened to my phone (After 24 hour delivery Never happened). I called them 4 days later to inquire. Their explanation is that it's not them IT's me and that I interpreted the ordering time wrongly because I ordered on Friday and they only got to process it on Tuesday. Definitely my fault for not reading the rules correctly. They told me to call back again tomorrow.

I called back again and after hours of waiting they realized that they canceled the order however they can't disclose the information why. They refuse to offer explanation, they refuse to offer the solution and they refuse to return the money in 3-5 business days or any days. A month later I still don't have the phone and I still don't have my money. I have three different file/case numbers I filed. Their customer representative sent emojis (kisses, flowers and hearts) while I was trying to cancel the order. Did live chat with customer service today and they deny ever offering that, won't even consider honoring it, and say the store where I signed up misinformed us!! Am I the only one "misinformed"?!

Cricket get autopay monthly service bill and I called to get reimbursed as I already moved to other service but they say "How we make money? We cannot return." Even talk to supervisor and they said, "We will not give you back your money. You can dispute these charges with bank and get it from there." I was surprised how Cricket can suggest they have poor service and why bank need to reimburse me for that. Very bad model of business cricket... Shame on you Cricket.

Cricket Wireless, seriously has some of the dumbest and most rude people for customer service. I have never felt so insulted and disrespected by customer service ever in my entire life. The representative and Supervisor were incompetent and never resolved the issue. The supervisor ended the chat without asking if there was anything else, and without so much as a goodbye. This is by far the worst customer service, and they have no respect for disabled veterans or students. They disregard your problems, and are the dumbest people ever. I had to restate the problem and run through the scenario 27 times. It still didn't get through to them. They had an error in their system, and even though I canceled services on 10/1, I had to do it AGAIN on 12/5, and was charged for two months of service. They refused reimbursement.

Any Disabled Veteran knows how hard it is to live on the disability paycheck, and knows that we deserve the utmost respect and a phone service that has such deplorable customer service should be looking to restructure their customer service department. Money was stolen through unauthorized charges, and they refused to reimburse. Even though it was a problem with their system. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER.

In spite of the tempting online offers and prices and phone offers, I could not get it to work. The online system said my address was invalid and could not use PO Boxes - which it was NOT. I tried using different browsers, clearing cache, but regardless of how I put my street address in - it would not accept it. I tried online chatting with them only to be told to 'try again later'. UGH! Then I called their customer service and was told it needed to match my billing address - but I had not even gotten to the billing portion of the order yet - it's like the lady was just reading a list of excuses and not listening to what I was telling her. Then she then put me on eternal hold - and left me there... So I hung up! When I called the local store but was told they do not have the same deals as the online offers so they could not come close to the offer. NOT a good way to run a company - so I took my business elsewhere.

I was in a bind because my S2 Galaxy died, so I wanted the cheapest phone I could find and I found Cricket, and the phone was a low end phone but I was saving up for a 7 (almost there) and didn't care if it only lasted me 5 months. I had AT&T and services were great. I could watch my Google paid purchases. Homeland and Pandora fit fine and Netflix. I busted the screen but I was dedicated and I could see mostly to watch my show. I was happy with the phone even cracked. I was happy my Google music played on this cheap end phone. People listen to your gut because this is where I messed up. Sprint was having a promotion so I decided to trade in my broken phone for a new cheaper end phone and it was refurbished and they don't sell refurbished and from day 1 I had issues all the way up till Sprint finally cared but you can read that review on ConsumerAffairs, there are 614 bad reviews on Sprint. They don't care.

But I was promised a cheap tab which they were out of and the girl made me tip. I still regret leaving Cricket. Plus the customer service at this store was awesome and I may take my unlocked phone to them if AT&T store is too much. Nitpick is all this is. Once you start an account you have to pay that every month as I found out the hard way, or your phone gets disconnected. I paid over the phone and I went with a different amount and it took my money but it still would not work. But I got the money I needed & all was well and I am almost certain I overlooked it. I definitely would recommend and please think twice about the grass being greener on the other side of the fence when certain stores try to reel you in and definitely be informed.

Check ConsumerAffairs and see if you can find your store and get the results. I'm learning so much because of another store's issues. I've become more aware and when it cost you a lot of money you start paying attention. The young manager Joseph ** was running the store by himself this day and he was calm under pressure. I was impressed because I still mattered two days later when I went in and that says a lot. Cricket is a trusted wireless company.

Gotta love how warranties work on your phones so I paid $60 for my phone on a promotion. It's acting up. Not sure what it is. Call warranty. Yep have one but here's the catch. I can send $85.99 + $20 overnight shipping or $10 one night shipping and get another phone and it get refunded back on my account if they determine no physical damage or I can wait for a UPS shipping label and not have a phone for 5 to 7 days while they determined information and still may end up having to buy a new phone. Either way I'm out more money than what I even paid for the phone. I think not so off to shop for another phone because I'm not paying $40 more for a phone than what I paid for it originally for them to make their own decision on whether to cover it. so bottom line make sure you determine that next time you need to use warranty.

It showed the payment, but said my account was still suspended pending payment. I logged into my credit card account, and sure enough, $50 dollars which was my payment in full due, pending and approved on my recent transactions.

The website is horrible, the phone payment system is clearly broken, and customer service is nowhere to be found when they take your money and don't deliver goods as promised. Around 5p, I called to adjust the order because I'd ordered the wrong phone. This is when I was informed my numbers were not porting over, so I requested to cancel the order. The rep asked for an order number in which I replied I'd not received an email confirmation yet. Long story short, and after talking with 4 reps giving me 3 conflicting stories and a supervisor named Paolo who literally said nothing more than "sorry, have a nice day," after about 4 hours of my precious time on this earth wasted, I was informed that my order was cancelled. I'll receive a refund in 24 hrs.

I called back because later that night I received a shipment confirmation, Rep 2 informed me, "No worries. The delivery person has been notified to not deliver, at which point you will get a refund upon our receipt of package." Today I received a delivery receipt on my front door that a package is at my local store, now this rep is telling me to call UPS and refuse the order. And your supervisor says, "sorry, have a nice day." It may not matter to you, but you just lost one.

I recently switched from Sprint to Cricket and immediately noticed a big difference! Cricket Wireless is awesome! I had Sprint, which they claim to be within 1% of Verizon and AT&T. But I had terrible service in my house and in my yard and I live in Los Angeles, near Monterey Park. Before switching I called Sprint, who I have been with for over 10 years, to see what kind of deal I could get. First off in 2011 I was paying $60 for their everything plan, which now (2016) I was paying $97 for the same plan. Sprint said I could go to their $60 plan, plus taxes, and get 3gb of data with unlimited talk/text. I told them I switching to cricket, thinking they might work, but no. So I told Sprint, see you later jerks. Went to cricket and got into a $45 plan with 8gb and unlimited text/talk including in Canada and Mexico!

Sprint's service was terrible when I would travel from LA to Vegas or when I traveled from LA to Oakhurst (north of Fresno). In fact in Oakhurst I had spotty service. While driving to those areas, Sprint service was spotty, couldn't keep my connection with Pandora music, & etc. With cricket I enjoy complete service from those routes with NO interruptions! Call and text service is excellent, data with their LTE/4g has been excellent as well! They say Cricket, part of AT&T, gets data downgrade from 12 to 8 Mbps, but I can't tell the difference. Sprint would go from decent LTE service to slow as a turtle 3G, with no 4G service at all.

Cricket wireless has been great and I am so glad I switched. No more headaches from having inferior Sprint service. Cricket is the way to go. I had no problem with bringing my iPhone 6plus to cricket, which I made Sprint unlock. The transition was seamless. Don't hesitate to switch. I think more people on this site write only their negative experience with a company than a positive experience, because they are happy and have no complaints to write. Totally worth it to use Cricket!

Phone model ZTE X 4. This Cricket has the worse customer service EVER. They sell you a $150 phone that never has mobile network. Won't make calls. Won't text. I have been with Cricket for years. Same phone number. 4 lines... They act like you have to mail it in to get a new one. The manager did not offer me a refund. Which is an option if you are within 7 days. I had to find that out by calling Cricket not from them. I was also within my 7 days. He said I had to file a claim and mail in my phone. Wait up to 10 days to get a new phone. WTF. The ** girls they have working there are even worse.

I spent over $175 for a phone. A case... Screen cover and Activation. Got the phone on Friday. It worked all night then all the sudden the phone says no mobile network. Of course I do the basics. Turn the phone on and off. Try to call it from another line on the same service. It won't go through. Won't receive text etc... So I call. Of course that was a nightmare. Spent an hour just to hear they are working on the system and will call me back. WTF. Then they call and tell me to wait until 1 pm the next day or try to return the phone if it doesn't start working. Then about an hour later it works. Worked all night and half a day. Then it starts again.

After more calls to the CRAP tech support we decide to go into the store which didn't open until 4 pm. There it decided to Work again. But we still wanted to replace it etc. She had the nerve to tell us there will be a restocking fee of $25 if I return the phone and get a different phone. Even though the phone should not be RESTOCKED. It is broke. I spent 4 days trying to let Cricket fix the problem through the tech department. Which when you call there is NO option for tech support. So you have to go through the spiel about 3 times before you ever get to tech. Then the tech is a joke. Elementary. Who owns this company? Horrible in store. Horrible on phone. Horrible tech support.

Paid my bill with the Cricket app yesterday. The window kept spinning, then said there was a problem processing my payment. But I received a text saying they received payment, then another, then another & another. I swiped the app off. Today I get ready to pay bills and find out they took my payment 4 times. I spoke to my bank and they informed me that they could reverse the payment today if Cricket faxed a confirmation to them.

I got on Cricket chat online to speak with them. They can't send a fax! They can only submit a ticket that will take 24-72 hrs. to process. I asked them if I could be compensated at least a month service since I am incurring late fees on other bills because they have my money tied up. I went back and forth with them for 3 hrs. They were trying to mislead me into thinking I could get this credit. But when I pressed for straight answers I got a no! Then I pressed a button on the chat window to have the conversation emailed to me... Never got it.

I got on chat again, once again after requesting an email that I never got! I have chatted with 5 reps today and was either disconnected or had the conversations disappear. I called them and asked about all of the above... Still no fair resolution. Any stand up company would compensate for their mistake. There is so much more that I am leaving out but bottom line... you are not better off with Cricket. Their plans are cheaper but they still get you in the end. I have been with Cricket for years and I have had to buy a phone every year. Insurance does no good... deductible is as much as a new phone. You can go somewhere else and lease a phone, upgrade in 2 yrs. I will soon be ditching them. As long time customer I can tell you they are LIARS & SCAMMERS!

I got the payment made, but when I went to finish the transaction, I got an error saying I needed to retry or abort. I clicked on retry and I had 2 different payments deducted. I called to get a refund of the second payment but was told it would take 72 business days to refund me the second amount even though the so-called customer service rep could see the double payment. I live from check to check and can't afford them to take so long to refund my money. If I want it now, I have to go through my bank. Cricket has been less than anything good for me to use. So now I disputed it with my bank and have to wait up to 45 days for the dispute to finish. All this after last month with 4 lines not working only getting $20 credit back. This is a cheat. They take advantage of people. You would think being owned by AT&T they would be better. They told me something completely different today as well, and refused to escalate the call. Summary: You are sure to get angry, frustrated, and probably scammed. I purchased a simple phone for temporary use for visiting friend. I signed up for auto-pay because it saves you $5. When my visiting friend left the their phone is never used and I did not remember to cancel the service. After they took two rounds of bills from my card, I called in, canceled the service, and asked to refund the last two payments. Unfortunately, they pulled out a "Terms & Conditions" argument and stated, "Cricket has NO refund policy." I argued, "Had I paid with cash, you would not be able to do so and this is close to illegal scamming". After telling me same thing repeatedly, I lost the argument and $70. Additionally their shop in Lansing Mall is a joke with new faces every week and they have no idea of what to do except selling you a thing for a list price. Easy switch and I got 5 free phones on a deal. They always have some phone that is reasonably priced or free - if you want a fancier one they are still so much cheaper than Verizon, even the "so called free or phone credit" deals - never free. Customer service is OK - could improve some but able to speak to someone. Company store not great here but there are great Cricket dealers. When I left Verizon - paying $260 for 4 BASIC PHONES_NO INTERNET, NO SMARTPHONES AT ALL. Limited calling time, unlimited text - now with Cricket unlimited everything and all smartphones - 5 of them - for $100/mo (I add insurance so $135/Mo). There are never any of those "hidden fees", or bogus charges - your bill amount is always the same. Even with the very slight dip in service and minor, infrequent issues, just having a consistent, honest bill makes them well worth it in my eyes.

Over the years the service and coverage have improved, BUT the customer service has stayed the same - superior. I have never received less than great, expert, more-than-necessary service. Of course, I have always gone to the same store, and I have always been prepared and very friendly. And I have always been treated the same way in return. Every time I've referred a friend or family to Cricket they find a way to weasel out of paying. They claim the account was not in good standings. I referred my mother and when she signed up she went with auto pay. She never missed a bill due to them always taking it out. Of course when she inquired about the referral fee that had not been applied they tried to say she was late on a payment so her account went into bad standings. She got her Cricket account in December and signed up auto pay that day. However they claimed she didn't sign up for auto pay until Feb and in the time from Dec to Feb she went into bad standings...

Another case was with my account. I've had Cricket for over a year at the time when I decided to add the feature Hotspot. (note: I've also had auto pay since I signed up with Cricket and never missed a payment either due to autopay). Anyway I didn't like the feature and called Cricket the next day to have it removed. They removed the feature and the idiot on the phone made a mistake somehow and when I went to use my phone the next morning there was no service. Of course I wasn't happy about it and complained that I didn't ask them to remove my service and asked them if their mistake was going to affect the status of my account. Due to the fact I was in the process of receiving a referral fee they calmly told me how it was their mistake and they would make a note on the account explaining the situation so it wouldn't affect it. Needless to say I never got it...

I was an AT&T customer and decided to move my service to Cricket where my wife already was. The day my contract went out with AT&T, I called to make sure it was ok to move my number to Cricket as there was a $95 early out fee I wanted to avoid. The AT&T rep told me I could switch over and she understood I was rolling the number over because I told her. She put my number out of service that I was going to roll. I went online to activate my phone with Cricket and got error messages telling me to try again later. I called Cricket and they told me they could activate my phone so I went through the process, and they told me I would have to wait 24 hours. I waited and tried again staying on the phone altogether that day about 4 hours.

I called AT&T to try and get my number back in service long enough to get my new phone a Samsung Amp 2 I bought from Cricket activated. The lady told me the phone could be activated. The number was in holding status and would be removed after my Galaxy was activated. Cricket put in another ticket and told me 24 to 72 hours. This was on Sunday evening. I called Monday to check on the case and they took me through the song and dance again, even told me they could give me a new number without a new SIM card. Another hour on the phone and still no activation. They said they could not cancel the previous case. I would have to wait.

I called back on Wednesday to check on it and got to Customer Service, and wanted a refund. They couldn't refund me only send another phone. They could not activate. They sent me to another Customer Service that told me my phone was in service. It showed in service in my settings but had no phone number showing and was showing no network connection. I was talking on that phone because it's the only call you can make until you get activated, so I asked her just to check and see if she would call me back in 10 minutes to see if the phone was working. She never called back. I had another supervisor suppose to call me and he never called back.

I left some of this out. It's too long and really pathetic. I'm so angry I could bite nails and they don't give a damn. I purchased a phone that is good for nothing but playing games or using WiFi to check email. I worked for a contractor for Apple for 3 years, I was a supervisor and as bad as Apple is this is much worse. These people would have been fired. I am having to go to another carrier and get service but I'll be damned if I'm letting them get by with it, if it cost me some more money. Very ticked-off man.

I was such a fool! Now my job is less than 2 miles from the main AT&T data transmission center in Charlotte, NC and STILL have the worse data connection speeds I've ever seen! Zero bars, no connection... Oh wait, came back, see a web page loading then POOF! Fooled ya, no connection. And regardless of what other posted comments claim, this is after the bill is paid. I honestly believe data is capped on Cricket customers to give more bandwidth to regular AT&T customers. Customer service only gives one explanation- I should purchase one of their locked, bloatware filled phones for better speeds. Nice option.

Download speeds are so slow, I could walk to my local library (5 miles away) before a video loads enough data to actually play. It's just a rotten experience from the data end. Calls and texting works great, but my smartphone isn't very "smart" until I get home and use my own WiFi. Why offer any data plan at all when you can't make it a consistent experience?

One star rating because that is as low as allowed! On Friday my wife order each of us new phones through the Cricket Wireless website so that we could continue to use the AT&T tower. The process seemed simple enough other than you could only place one phone in your cart at a time which I thought was odd. But the process is complete and I receive an email confirming the order, another confirming shipment, and then a third with the link to transfer my phone number to the new phone. So everything is great right? Well my phone doesn't show when it should (Monday) and my wife has yet to receive her set of emails confirming the purchase of her phone.

Tuesday morning she call Cricket Customer Non Service and is told they had cancelled her order from Friday because both orders were made from the same browser and she would need to reorder which she did on the spot. After which she asked Customer Non Service about the status of my order, which began a three hour transfer from one to another talking head marathon in which we found out that after shipping my phone out they had told UPS to return it to them, and we could not be told any reason why this was the case. At this point my wife decided she didn't want to deal with them anymore, and truthfully neither do nor will I ever again, and asked to cancel the order she had placed.

They responded that it could not be cancelled but she would need to return the phone to them for a refund that would take approximately ten days. We chalked that up as them being a shady business with a complete lack of concern for customers, but then my wife checked the balance on our checking account. It was at this point that we realized that we had been charged for the phone that they decided I would receive after shipping it out, for the phone they decided to cancel because she had used the same browser and for the phone that she had reordered this morning because of their faulty website design and horrible customer relations. Not sure what the monetary damage would come to out of this adventure but I do know that Cricket Wireless and their Customer Non Service is little more than a con man selling snake oil to the sick and elderly and should not be used by anyone under any reason!

I switched to Cricket on or about 7/6/16. I had switched from another nightmare not knowing what I was in for next. I went into a store in our local mall that I frequent that carries Cricket wireless. It was a rough switch but it was completed. I was not made aware of anything but that there were no contracts. OK, that was fine. 8/16 paid my bill. But that whole time I was wondering when I would call home, my mother would never answer the phone, then we fight when she said she called me and I would say she did not. Then I called one of my customers, and she said she did not get a call from me. Then it gets better. I called my vet's office to make an appointment for my dogs. They said hello, hello? And hung up.

I started connecting the dots. My son's doctor, the same thing. I could not call a land line from my phone, ever or get a call from a land line as well. I own my own business and I am on the road, so I needed to call another business. I could not. By the time I would get home, most are already gone for the day. So I had to start my day later to make calls from my home phone. September school started and the school nurse tried to call, she could not. So I decided this is a hazard, and I switched to another carrier that I got for my son's phone.

I called Cricket cust service 2 weeks ago and was promised a refund of my payment that I had just paid. Today I called looking for the check, guess what... The nightmare continues. I was on hold, rep picked up only to put me on hold again. This must have went on 5 or 6 times. He kept thanking me for my patience, but I had explained it was wearing thin. I demanded to know why I was put on hold so many times and what was that person trying to do? Finally he gets back on the phone and says "they" tried to call me. I said on what, the phone I no longer have? He said, "The number you gave when you called the first time". I said I was not asked for a number, I was getting a check in a couple days. He said no one asked me for my number? I said, "You are saying that they did. I am saying that a number was not requested". Put me on hold again, only to say they are not giving me a refund.

I demanded to speak to a supervisor. The supervisor gets on the phone, I have her name, hope it is her real name, she keeps saying that they can't help me. I said can't or won't? "There is no contract so we do not give refunds". I asked where is that stated when I got the phone? She replied on Cricket.com. I said I was not instructed to view Cricket.com. Refund policies should be made know to a consumer at the time of purchase. Well obviously they are above that. They do not make it know that they do not give refunds until the time may come that one should be given. I made it abundantly clear that it was because of the service that I had to leave. If I cannot get or make calls to landlines as well as cell phones, then their service is not best for me. Again was not aware of this.

I stated this service is ok for young kids who call friends and text and call parents cells, it is not good for the parents who cannot make all calls from their phones, especially getting calls from their children's schools. "Sorry", she says, "but I can't help you". "Maybe if you paid by card, you could have stopped payment". No I paid cash. So I asked "you intend to keep my money even though it is because of Cricket's service that caused me to leave." I did not matter to this person one bit. I said that the Dept. of Consumer Affairs should know about this. "I have never heard of this problem", the supervisor replied. I said

oh yes there are hundreds of people having problems, but you will not disclose you know about them." Then for the simple fact of keeping customers money, and not disclosing a refund policy is wrong, and deceitful.

They should be shut down. Immediately! Fraud all the way and they do not care. The supervisor gave me a contact address to the company. I said if it is a real address, she said don't worry. I said "after all this, I am worried." She corrected herself and said "I am giving you a true address." That is where it left off. I will contact them, but I am not expecting anything to be done, but hopeful. Has anyone ever gotten anywhere with them? Because I will take it as far as I have to. Just for principle, they should not be allowed to do this to the public. A good consumer is an educated consumer. Companies withholding important information to benefit themselves is wrong, and that is not a company I wish to give my hard earned money to. I rate this business negative stars. Horrible, hands down one of the worst ever.

Ever since I've been with Cricket the first month it was smooth sailing then one Friday I was wondering why my phone wasn't working, come to find out the towers were down & Cricket didn't send out a notice just an "Apology" the next day... smh. Now I'm trying to switch carriers & Cricket is not trying to release my phone number to the carrier I switched to & to top it off, their system is always shutting down! I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE to go to Cricket Wireless!!

Thought we were paying too much for cellular service and other family members had Cricket with a good experience so decided to give it a try. Went to the store. Spent over 3 hours getting g set up with an account, phones and accessories. My husband saw he could trade his phone but told them not to get rid of it in case the phones didn't work. We went back the next day because we had problems with reception. They said an APN was installed on my husband's phone that shouldn't be there and did upgrades on both phones.

Went home and had the same issues. Went to my family's to see if we had better reception and we did but when we got home very bad reception and my phone kept saying I could only make emergency calls only! Went back to Cricket the next day and they made excuses and didn't want to give us our money back even though they have a 7 day return policy with the receipt. They didn't want to take back the accessories that would do us no good with our old phones and didn't want to giverify my husband's phone back either. We ended up having to pay $155 for something that didn't work for us!!!

They would rather lose you as a customer than credit the 5.00 auto pay to your account. I spent over 2 hours on the phone begging for the 5.00 just to see how far they would carry the concern. They carried it all the way to the main manager and I begged her. It is really disgusting. My referral bonus never even hit the account.

I have had nothing but trouble with the Cricket payment application. It sticks or shut down and after multiple attempts to access and make a payment, it takes all of your money off the credit card. It knows that you only intended only one payment but it won't allow you to delete or cancel the extra ones. They never refund your money either no matter how much you explain the situation. They shouldn't be allowed to stay in business. This is bad business practices!!

They will make you catch a case like going ham and busting out a can of woop ** on anyone that is a rep for this company... I'M so pissed off words can't even explain. Stay away from Cricket. It's like a terminal disease. Sorry if I ruffled any current customer, but trust and believe you will be on here sooner than later and it won't be to praise them... Yes I'M going to another company. If they were the only company left in the world I wouldn't have a cell. Truth and for everyone's information Cricket Cellular does not participate in the ConsumerAffairs authorized partner program. I called today on August 28th 2016 to inquire about what has happened to our credit. I was just told to reenter a code and wait again. Why is there a delay in the first place? Has anybody gotten the referral money? Well I will not let them lie and cheat me so I am moving on from AT&T. Rest in Peace, the real Cricket! Go to hell AT&T!

If you plan to remove a single phone from your account do so before the end of your payment month. Unbeknownst to me if you should choose to let the account go unpaid for a day "suspended status" they will require full payment for the next month of service on all phones on the account just in order to remove the phone you are not using. This technique "policy" is documented on the website under support. Each representative stated that I would have to make the "plan" current before I could remove the phone that I was not using. I reminded them that I was sure that I did not have a "plan" with their company being that I am on a prepaid phone account. Also that my current balance was 0.

The service starts the day you pay and ends 30 days from. They will treat you as prepaid and contract customer as they see fit for billing purposes. Disappointed I learned the hard way. Also it is to my understanding that all of their telephone customer support is handled from outside of the US. I will be switching to a contract carrier next month. If I'm going to get screwed I may as well have decent customer service.

I just don't want my pictures deleted". I was assured he would not delete them.

Long story short, the 2 year experienced employee named **, deleted my work pictures. He tried to recover but had no luck. He tried to get managers on the phone, ** and ** did not want to talk to me. They did not want to help clear this up. Their goal was to place blame. I decided after months of paying really high phone bills with Verizon to switch over to Cricket wireless. So I went onto the website and ordered a new phone and ported my old number that I've had for years over to that phone. The website kicked me out several times and refused me to port my number for 48 hours at a time. Everyone I spoke with from customer service had absolutely no idea what I was talking about or how to Help me. Finally after days of going back and forth I had my account set up and my order was placed on July 21st 2016 and I received my phone ups in the next few days.

When my package arrive I could not activate my phone because I never received a SIM card in which I had to have in order to Activate my number. I decided to keep my Verizon service until my contract was up and then go into a near by branch to attempt to activate my phone, this was on Albermale rd in Charlotte NC on 8/15/2016 around 4pm. The lady that worked there was super rude. She told me that she was unable to help me because I had ordered my phone online and I needed to call customer service. I asked if she could let me use her phone to call in and she told me No. I told her I did not live in Charlotte and I was up there with no phone and she didn't care and refused to help me. I left crying.

The next morning I went to my mother in law's house to use her phone to call customer service. I was advise that because I had not received a Sim card that they would send me out another one in the mail. I told her that I was not waiting another 4-5 days for a Sim card and she said I could go buy a new universal Sim Card from a local store and that way my number could be ported over. I then left and went to the Local branch in Concord NC on 8/16/16 at 10 am and bought a New sim card and the lady tried to help me activate it but crickets activation system was down and I was told to check back later or in the morning.

It's now 230 pm the next day and I've been given the run around all day. Still don't have a phone to use and have either been hung up on, improperly transferred or lied to from customer service for 3 days straight. I'm Fed up. This Company has no structure and they do not care about how they treat consumers. I'm so upset!!!! I still don't have a way to use my phone and no one will help me to get this error fixed. I've already paid for my first month and my new phone and still cant use it.

First Cricket say $50 a line with 5g of data and pay $45 with auto payments, plus (supposedly) will get extra $10 discount for a second line. LIEEE, SCAMMM. What they don't say is once you get second line, you will not get discounts for auto payments, so you will be paying the same amount without any discount at the end. This is misleading advertising to attract new customers. Another thing that makes me to switch to Cricket was they are on AT&T, they should have better signal than T-MOBILE. It might have been my bad, but I was thinking why the extra step, when if I pay I can just choose the option. It's only a $5 difference but it's like they take every opportunity to nickle and dime ya when they can.

I live in Florida and I decided to give Cricket Wireless a try last December. I bought two phones one for me and one for my wife. I selected an international plan that would allow us to call Canada from the US and vice versa. In June we went to Canada. We had data for a few weeks but now there is no data even though the plan says we have 5GB in Canada. I called Cricket dozens of times and it's just a waste of time. They can't fix the problem that seems to be with their Canadian carrier Rogers. If I look at my Cricket account online it shows 5GB of unused data for each phone. I just renewed the service on Aug 3 for $90.00 and there is still no data available. There is full signal strength from Rogers and we're in several large cities with good signal. My ATT phone is working fine here in Canada.

I have requested my iPhones from Cricket to be unlocked so I can at least go to a Canadian cell store and put my Cricket phones on a Canadian carrier. Both phones are eligible to be unlocked as they have had service for over 6 months. I have been requesting this for two weeks and the phones are still not unlocked as of yet. I called again Saturday, Aug 6 and was told I would get a call the next day Sunday, Aug 7. Waited all day Sunday and no call. I called again Monday, Aug 8 and spent over 2 more hours on the phone. Called again on Tuesday, Aug 9, 2 more hours and they said it would take 3 to 5 days to unlock the phones. They tried to tell me that the phones were locked through Apple.

I called Apple and they did a conference call with me and Cricket and they got Cricket to admit that Cricket has the phones locked and not Apple. Called Cricket again at about 11 pm from a landline and the person at Cricket that claims they were a supervisor wanted to call me back on my Cricket number. They hung up from the landline and I never got a call back on my US number. My Cricket phone does make and receive calls to and from the US and there is no reason for that person not to be able to have reached me. I also left 2 other numbers - 1 cell and 1 landline - just so they couldn't say my phone wasn't working. They just don't care, just as another person said, "They are just trying to get rid of you when you call." I wonder if some class action suit could be filed against Cricket?

I have to say I can't complain about the Cricket customer service...BECAUSE THERE ISN'T ANY. After several calls to customer service problem was never resolved and I was stuck with two useless phones. I have dealt with other cell providers in the US and have never encountered this before. As far as data goes, Cricket does not work well in Canada. Save your money, use a reliable company, not Cricket. There should be a way to give negative stars to Cricket. In this case I would give them MINUS 5 STARS.

First of all they have a return policy if you don't like your phone you can return it within 7 days. Well my mother is on my account and she didn't like the super cheap piece of crap she got so she returned it the next day and they tried to make her pay full price for the new phone instead of the special price. She eventually got to pay the special price after the manager just got sick of her which he made clear.

Also when she got her phone she was told she would get the 50$ bill credit on her third month's bill. Well here we are in the third month and I contacted them and they basically called me a liar and said their employee never said that, even though there were signs ALL OVER THE PLACE at that time and we specifically asked if she would get it and they said yes and now they won't fix it. On 8/1 I called Cricket Customer service to see if the current Boost Mobile phone I had could be used on Cricket's network. I gave him the IMEI number and was assured yes it could be... Bear in mind the IMEI number is specific only to one phone. It is unique. During the purchase process on Cricket it has a tool to check the IMEI before purchase for compatibility. Passed and took me to screen to purchase a Universal SIM card. Of course I had to buy a monthly plan too to get the SIM card.

When the card arrived I followed the instructions to activate and got nowhere. Got a CS rep on the phone and was told after several attempts to activated it... "NO. Your phone cannot be used on Cricket because it is a Boost locked phone (refer to Paragraph 1)." I would have to call Boost and get the phone's unlock code. I called and was given a 6 digit unlock code but is not the correct code to unlock the carrier's SIM card.

Called Cricket back and asked what I could do. Was given these options: 1. take my 4 month old phone to a Cricket store and they would give me a trade in toward a new phone ($7 for a $149 phone still not paid off) or 2. purchase a phone online which meant I would have to buy another monthly plan, 3. go to Walmart or other store that sells Cricket and buy a phone from them and another monthly plan, and pay full price not the online prices for a Cricket phone.

When I voiced my concerns with each of these solutions I was told buying a phone online would be my best options then I could have the plan I had to purchase with the SIM card over to the new phone. I finally opted to do this even though it took the last bit of money I had for the remaining 3 weeks of the month. NOTE: in placing the order it would not allow me to enter the phone number I had been assigned with the SIM card and monthly plan order.

The system basically forced me to request a new number. Once the order was complete, new number assigned I called back in to have the original Smart plan I purchased moved over to the new phones. Was told, get this... THEY COULD NOT APPLY THOSE MOMENTS TO THE NEW PHONE! Supposedly because it is active in another phone!

ARE THEY STUPID! It is not active. The SIM card never worked in my phone. They lied to me to get me to make the SIM card purchase then turned around and lied to me again that I would not lose the monthly plan I purchased because they would transfer it over to a new phone if I purchased from Cricket. I asked if they could then cancel the phone order I JUST placed and they said no, I would have to refuse delivery of the phone, let it return to Cricket then I would be charged a $25 restocking fee.

After repeated calls to Boost I discover that their phones cannot be unlocked to use on another network. Now whether that is true or I am being lied to again... guess that is just the status quo of these companies today. If anyone reading this is interested in initiating a class action lawsuit, please contact me as I am done with Cricket. This is the second major issue like this I've had with them in 6 months. I had decided to give them a second chance, but this is the proverbial straw.

Well, I did bring my own number, but when I asked about the discount on chat the response was, "Oh, your line was not eligible for the discount, sorry." My problem is not with the discount, which was not that much, but with the deceptive practice. My other problem was staying on the phone with a certain Oscar ** for 45 minutes, and this man would simply not understand that I needed answers to two simple questions ("what do I have to do to close my account" and "where can I reach a supervisor"). Instead he simply repeated the same lines over and over again: "I'm sorry but your line is not eligible bla bla."

No matter how I phrased it, he would not respond to my real concern. This is a deceptive practice, and I don't do business with companies that deceive their clients. "If you can show me that this is not deceptive, I will continue doing business with you." No such luck! In any case, just called my bank, and they can't stop my payment. I guess I do have to receive the phone first and then cancel any dealings with this company. Should have checked reviews more carefully first, and not just asked my neighbor in passing. We called Cricket Wireless to pay our bill. Of course when we called we got some Middle Eastern call center. We had a 200 dollar credit on our account for switching providers. Our first bill was 130$ so the 200$ covered that which left us with 70$ toward our next bill. I went into the store to pay the 60$. That's when the girl behind the counter told me I only had to pay 5$ then in 7 days I could pay the remaining 55$. So after the 7th day our phones got shut off which was really 6 days (they failed to mention the day I paid 5$ counted as a day). I called to pay the bill. That's when they told me I had to pay my bill in full 130$. I guess the 5$ was called BridgePay and if I didn't pay my bill on the 7th day I waived my 70$ credit and I would have to pay the entire bill.

None of this was ever explained to us or we would have paid the 60$ when we went into to pay in the first place. So they basically stole 70$ from us and now we are without phones until we change providers. We refuse to give our money to a bunch of criminals. Also the Indian my wife talked to on the phone Aaron is what he said his name was and also claimed that there is nobody above him, so he claimed to be the owner of Cricket. He was extremely rude to my wife pretty much yelled at her the entire time she was on the phone then hung up on her. Cricket is the absolute worst company anybody can go to. I cannot believe that Cricket is leaving their customers in a lurch and I felt completely being deceived by Cricket. They are causing me lots of losses financially and huge inconvenience...

On a recent trip to Florida I decided to give Cricket Wireless a try. I am a Canadian and I travel to the US quite often. I bought two phones one for me and one for my wife. I selected an International plan that would allow us to call Canada from the US and vice versa. On my return home I called Cricket in order to refill my account. When I gave them my credit card info I was informed that I could not use a credit card that did not have a US address and that I should have read my contract. I read my contract several times and at no time was this policy stated.

After several calls to customer service problem was never resolved and I was stuck with two useless phones. I have dealt with other cell providers in the US and have never encountered this before. Cricket Wireless arbitrarily decided that Canadian credit cards were not to be accepted. If they do not want and I imagine it is the same policy for Mexico then the very least they could do is state it at time of purchase.

I spent 4 hours this morning trying to get credit on my account and my phone sent in. This phone is defective and so is your customer service. First off guy who set phone up in store filled all my info out wrong. Second of all haven't been able to access account since set up due to this. My phone keeps saying data limit reached. I was told a month ago when I called I would be given a credit due to all these factors so when I had time to go by store yesterday and reset pin I was told that I would be given refund but was not. I was with another carrier for 8 years. 8 years!!! Switched because service down here was **. I was told I would receive great service from Cricket. Absolutely not!!! I will be going on several forums and posting this atrocious treating of customers. Feel like a villain. RIDICULOUS!!! Hope someone who cares sees this. Hopefully an American who can understand me.

I've brought 5 phones with service from Cricket Wireless at full price paid over $400 cash good 1st month 'til someone broke in and locked me out my acct. On my 4th week of service I called Cricket and wrote to corporate about my problem and it's been 2 months with no response. Me needing to be able to reach my children, I kept the service since I've paid for the month and changed all security for the acct and still someone managed to still break in my acct and lock me out again, meaning they took my phone off my acct and they managed to do so 5 times in 1 week.

After weeks of calling to find out who is messing with my acct a Cricket Wireless CS manager told me that I called and locked myself out of my acct and would not tell me how many failed attempts were taken to get into my acct and instead only told me of 1 time that the acct was changed. Mind you the other 5 times I had to change my security didn't exist in their records. Me being already mad I wrote to their corporate office and again 2 months with no response still, so I asked for my unlock code since I've paid full price for my phones and they can't and won't explain the mysterious and random break-in to my acct, locking me, the acct holder, out.

I had one CS agent tell me that in 24-48 hrs my phone will be unlocked. That same day I got a call back from Cricket telling me that the last agent I spoke to was lying to me and that nothing he said will happen. This is the worst service that anyone can buy into. I'm extremely mad at the fact that they twisted the law to steal my money. I've paid for a month's service I wasn't able to use and I have phones I've paid full market price for and can't get unlocked. They said the only way for me to unlock the phone was to buy into another service plan through them or pay for six months of service.

This is the worst experience I ever had with any company. This is one company that should not exist, they should be what other companies use as a 'this is what's gonna happen if you use companies like Cricket Wireless'. Sprint is the most expensive service were at and I would've loved to pay their prices than deal with Cricket again. At least another company would've unlocked my phones when I paid full price and not have tried to lie and deceive their customers. Now I can officially say I've been robbed and lied to by a USA-based company.
