We have been trying to get answers since March 2023 for why our phones do not work in the US when we have a Canada/US plan. Also, why they are running on a 3G network and not 5G. We have been told a few times that we have a ticket and someone higher up would call to resolve the issue. We are still waiting on that call. Just spent time on the chat with an agent who said she wanted to call me to say that she was going to put me through to a special tech person. Waited on hold for over a hour so hung up. I don’t think there are any higher up specialists or maybe they only have one guy doing call backs. We’ve been bell customers for over 15 years but it might be time to move on. If you are looking for a cell provider that can help you solve your issues, don’t go to Bell.

I cannot make this stuff up. 1st we made months of calls to set up a new line, was told to so they were ready, after an 18 month period every time we called it was like talking to someone new and they wrote down or tracked nothing. We moved in and after 18 months we will had to wait another year before they got their stuff together. Then they left the fiber on top of the ground instead of digging it in. The rep said he doesn't shovel. Have to call Bell. After 7 tickets they still sent no one and after a year the yard workers tore it out and they said, "You will have to wait." We finally dug it in ourselves.

The modem continually locked causing us to continually have to unplug and replug up to 20 times a day just to have service, once the system locks at night you have to physically be in the building to reboot the modem again, so they created a ticket to have it fixed. Next day a box showed up and just a modem inside. Nothing else at all. We did what we could and after 8 hours we had it finally working. The system worked great. After 22 hours received a call from Bell and again they had requested a call about our home service instead of my work service. This management type lied through his teeth saying there was no way we should have to install or dig in any services and that he would research it and get back to me. 2 weeks later and still nothing from this person.

After that call 25 mins later the wifi yet again went out and we had no wife to monitor security cameras or locks for doors through remote systems. Continually had to argue with staff that it was a BUSINESS address and not a residential address. They said again they would create a work ticket to get it fixed as again the modem locked. The tech was supposed to be here between 12 and 5, the modem again locked at 10 am and we left it so he could see it locked, and at 1620 we get a call that he has been stuck at a call since 1300 and would not make it, 3 hours he knew and did not call to let the customer know..

I called and asked for business and that I wanted to speak to business tech support. He demanded to know why. I said, "That is for the business tech not for residential and I will tell them", he sent me to residential tech support, then it started. She wanted to cancel my home service and I told her it was BUSINESS not residential then she wanted to verify the address yet again as I told her the address at the beginning but when I said my number it defaulted to my residential and she kept trying to verify the address, finally after enough jousting she put me through to business and he told me that he would cancel the wifi but it was bundled with phone so I would have to sign a new contract for my phone line in order to cancel my contract on wifi. Bell just about the money and no support.

Whatever you do, do NOT sign up for this company!! We were going to switch our home services to Bell last year when the door to door salesman sold us on their deal, we had them come in and hook up the service and decided the EXACT same night to cancel bell because the internet speed was less than we had with Cogeco (we never even cancelled our cogeco). Returned the bell equipment as instructed and again we had the service in our home for a maximum of 24hours IF that…after all equipment was returned they continued to send us bills via email, each time we called they said “no, you don’t have an account with us”. This went on for months.

Months of evenings spent on the phone with Bell Canada trying to get to the bottom of it, and not a single employee could tell us what the charge was for….They reassured us it was an error and we owed nothing. Fast forward to today, we received a COLLECTION NOTICE for $337.87 for BELL!!!! Never have we been in collections and now our credit can be negatively impacted by this absolute scam of a company. Whatever you do, do NOT sign up for Bell.

Just the worst company ever. My neighbor downstairs canceled her Bell service and in doing so Bell also cut my service Tuesday November 5th. When contacted they sent a technician who said should have my internet back that day. "Sorry for the inconvenience." I work from home. Need my internet. Have had it for almost 2 years now. Nothing wrong. Now I have to wait 2 more days to get my internet back. That is 4 days 8 hours, a day lost 640$ and do they care? No. Not their bills or food for their kids especially these days. Not fun and they don't care. Called pissy that I'm behind in my bill. I owe 197.90. What a joke of a company. Do not recommend to anyone.

My review stems from the service I received and the illogical billing process that I experienced. TLDR: After calling for advice on what I should do as I will be out of the country, I was provided with poor advice and overcharged. The solution I was provided was convoluted and required me to remove "Roam Better" from my account and call Bell representatives directly to have them turn off my account data if I am travelling abroad if I still wanted to be able to receive text messages and see who calls while travelling. In the end I received a discount for some of the overcharge but the logic, headache, and lack of pre-emptive advice for a responsible consumer was disheartening.

August 2024. I call Bell Canada to let them know I am leaving the country for an indefinite amount of time and want to know what options I have regarding my cellular service. At this time I am planning on going to Europe (Plan to use an Esim) for a few months then onto Antarctica (no cellular service provided). I was first advised that I could suspend my account which I understood to mean I would lose services but maintain an active account to ensure I did not lose the phone number I have had for 15+ years. I also had understood this to mean I would not be required to pay my monthly phone bill (device was paid off) until I reactivated the plan. This seemed logical so I requested to go this route.

I called Bell Canada a week or so later as I am in a Canadian Airport to make sure that my billing will stop and to ensure I didn't miss anything. I am then told through inquiries that a suspended plan just means I have no access to services, I will still have to pay my monthly payments. Disappointed and confused that this was not advised earlier I asked what my best option was, and they said that they did not have any pay per use, or more basic plans available and that my $45/month was the best option. I said okay, and that I would just turn off the Data option directly on the My Bell account as well as be hyper aware not to make any phone calls or texts unless I absolutely needed to. In my head this would ensure no over charges.

September 2024. I was travelling through Europe and got my first bill which was about $100 over my usual and I assumed that I had made a mistake or left my data on for something. So I doubled down, ensuring that data was off on my device and my Bell Account.

October 2024. I complete this leg of travel and return to Canada. I receive a $200 phone bill.... So I call Bell. I am advised of the following concerning items.

    1. The first person on the phone falsely says that every time I connect to a cellular network I will be charged the $16 for that days roam better, whether or not any message or data transfer takes place (Remember I have turned off data from an account level in the My Bell App).

    2. I am told that any use of data is rounded up to the nearest GB. In my case that would have meant if I was not on the Roam Better, I was told I would have been charged at a rate of $8/mb at an automatic rounding up to gb of $8,000 for any internet usage. In my example the data amount used was 0.05mb.

    3. I was charged for 11 days of Roam Better which was approx $160 on top of the $45. My total messages sent were something like 11 (~$11 if I was no on Roam Better) and data usage was less than 5mb (Not on Roam better would have been $8,000 as its rounded up to nearest GB).

    3. I was advised after I spoke on the phone with an escalated manager that I needed to call Bell (I did twice and was not advised of this prior to departing) to turn off my data from an account level as the same option on My Bell account does not cut it off to the same level.

After I spoke to the escalated manager I was given a credit which was appreciated. But the fact of the process and their inability to provide me proper direction as I tried to call prior to my trip and get it sorted so I would not have to deal with this extra billing headache is rational for me to change providers and share this review.

Then you’ll have to verify your info and all I want to know was if I upgraded my internet would it be better? Half hour later I still don’t know. Please just answer my one question. If I get home hub 3000 will I be able to stream tv and not lose my signal 20 minutes and spend another 20 minutes to get it back to only lose it shortly after.

Usually I take reviews with a grain of salt but when it comes to Bell Canada I believe everything I read. Absolute worst customer service in the history of customer service. They mistakingly sent me two pieces of equipment that I didn't order. So after about ten calls and empty promises I was finally able to return it. Then two weeks later I receive a notice they never got equipment. So I called to double check and they said they did, disregard the notice. Sure enough two weeks later I get billed an extra 70$ for the equipment. So again after speaking to about 5 people who all had different answers and stories. I finally spoke to a manager who again "assured" me it was taken care of, I wouldn't be billed and it was removed.

Needless to say I still got billed and now can never get through to a manager without wasting 45 mins with techs. Sorry for the rant but in the end I'm still fighting with them and their actual service is amazing but customer service is the absolute worst!! I hope for everyone's sake you never have a problem that requires you to call bell.

No forums were held to see how it compared to old product and incorporate good and remove bad options. Either the cloud Fibe I can only perform one function at a time. You can’t check recordings without leaving tv show. No date stamp of year tv show created. No fast forward option. No checking where you are in your recordings. Does not work with sleep timer as when you turn it on next day it says no connection. No fluid interactions like the Fibe of the past. I had service for 3 days and went back to competitor.

I have been a Bell customer for years and usually have no issues aside from some poor customer service reps. But after obtaining a new wifi plan after moving into a new house, I am livid at the service I've received. At first everything was fine and I thought I was getting an amazing deal of $65/month; however, when I went to pay my first bill, it showed a balance of $135. Yes, that is correct. After an hour of back and forth on the phone with Bell, I am apparently supposed to pay for what was a mistake on THEIR end. I am a student and I do not have a steady income so you can imagine my stress. On top of this, my future bills now sit at $85/month instead of the original $65. I don't think I have ever been more upset with the shortcomings of a company before. Not happy.

The very first thing I will indicate is my family and I have been Bell customers since 1977 with the exception of 2 years. Back in August 2024, I received a bill for a non-return modem charge. I had addressed through a phone call to Bell. The call was referenced EZ#### on August 16th, 2024. We went through the whole tracking of the shipment where the courier lost it. Ian mentioned he created a report to have it resolved. He mentioned it would be within the next billing cycle and not to pay the current bill. I had already paid it. There are also four chats included in this document where agents repeatedly asked me to go through the whole situation again. Not good!

During these logs, there was also repeated resolutions where a credit would be requested. At one point, one of the agents indicated the credit was there. Chat Reference number ####, which is in the attached document indicated such credit. Marishane mentioned there was an excess credit which I had then asked to be transferred to account ####. She had confirmed that there would be a credit of $14.20. At this point, I thought to myself, I now have a month where I did not have to pay Bell.

The next billing cycle came, and to my surprise, account #### was paid and had a credit of $14.20. However, account #### not only did it have a charge on it, it also had a return payment of the amount equivalent to the amount that was transferred to account ####. I was furious as I couldn't figure out why there was a bill for $224.87.

I had a chat with Jordan where the chat was not sent to me. They would call me back, but did not. I waited for their call. I then chatted with Nika on Oct. 10. She said there was no credit and the amount was just a transfer from one account to another. I said I wasn't paying for the bill. Bell sent me an email demanding payment or services would cut off. I paid the bill which have been resolved. This money would have been better spent elsewhere. I have filed a complaint to the Better Business Bureau. It is unfortunate no one seems to know what they are doing.

I had order Bell to come install internet at two properties. They showed up only to one, and not the other, when I called to reschedule (which took multiple calls) they finally said they'd have someone show up the next day at the correct address which I confirmed. Next day I get a call from the technician who is at the other property where the internet is already installed saying the internet was already installed. I called again and they could not send a tech out that day (it was only midday). This company makes it difficult to speak to someone and even when you manage to, they can rarely do anything except send you to another department and often in circles. I'd rather pay 40% more per month than deal with the incompetence that Bell has become well known for.

Bell is the worst company to deal with! They have no customer service whatsoever! They overcharge their loyal customers and give better deals to new customers. I was with them for over 10 years with my TV, internet and cell and had to switch companies because they kept bringing the price up! I started by changing my internet and tv. I told them I could get a better price and they said to go to the other company and once I changed they called to get me back with better prices when they told me they could not do any better.

Then my cell phone! I was paying $95 for 20g of data so I called for a better price and same thing, they said there’s nothing they could do except give you more data, they gave me 50g. I said I could get better with another company and they told me there’s nothing they can do to come close to the price I got. I told them just put me in touch with the people that call me with a better deal once I would change companies and they said they could not do that, they will only call once you change! That’s the dumbest thing I ever hear!!!

So I said I will switch to the other company and told them not to call me with a better price once I did like they always do!! They said they put it in the notes and wouldn’t call but the same day I switched I got a call saying we noticed you switched and we are calling to offer you a better price! I said I got 100g for way cheaper than them and they said they would do $29 plus tax for 100g! Which is even cheaper than the other company but I had already paid the other company a connection charge and fees…

To top it off when I canceled they said I owed them another $80 for the last bill that wasn’t paid yet and I told them I paid it already and they said no you didn’t, it’s a different bill I had paid so I paid them and then after a month of canceling I get a bill saying I overpaid so I had a credit. I called them to get my money back and they said it will take 60 days to process and send a check!! I asked them why 60 days and they said it’s because they need to get it approved. Why approve? It it’s a credit they owe me 'cause they made me over pay…. This company is so stupid it’s insane.. The worst part is they did something similar when I cancelled my TV and internet. They kept charging me after I cancelled and it took them 90 days to pay me that back!! I’m so done with Bell!! What kind of service is that???

Last week I ordered Bell T.V. and 3 Fibe service. We had a few questions about porting over the previous owner's landline number (my partner's childhood phone number - her mom's house - Mom is now in a "long-term-care home"). From the get-go, it seemed like the CSRs were confused about porting a number, installing a new account, and other minor things. After talking to 3 different CSRs to get an answer that seemed to be a little more knowledgeable and logical about the situation we waited only a few days for the Tech (and he didn't call ahead which was promised) to show up. The 3 CSRs had jumbled the information and created a second job order. We didn't get Service that day... And I took a day off of work for nothing. The second appointment for installation was made and I was only given a timeframe for it after calling customer support and asking, again we were assured the Technician would call ahead.

I took the day off of work, chilled at a neighbor's diagonal to my home, and waited for the confirmation call/text. The window for installation was running down so I walked across the street to my home and gave Customer Service a call. The Technician was at the address and gone citing "no one home". Again no call/text to my number or e-mail that the Tech was on the way. The CSR I had on the phone for this call could tell I was frustrated about losing 2 days of would so far and put me on the line with "Bell Resolution" and Maria. She settles it out and gives me her contact number to call should I have any issues.

On the third installation day, the technician pulls into the driveway blocking us in... I pull out my phone from my pocket, no calls/texts to be seen, I check my e-mail nothing there either. I greet the Tech' and let him know the area where we would like the new box. All is good… Except the Tech’ seems confused about the old account. I assure him he doesn't need to do anything with it, it's for the "other unit" and has the home landline on it. After hearing him drill into the wall I ask "Do you need a hand or do you need a cabinet moved?" "Nope good here” is the response from him. I call Maria's line again, still no answer… I leave an updated message.

After this, he comes to tell me he needs to leave the house to go down the road, when he does I go to have a look at the work, a bad feeling sitting in my gut. The tech has put a hole in the wall in nearly a foot in a half from the corner of the walls. Where it can’t be hidden and will be in the way of a patio door install we will be doing shortly. After sliding out the small cabinet he comes back to the house and I ask him if he could not have installed the line closer to the corner where it wouldn’t be such an eyesore, he answers “That he could have”. I ask if it’s too late to fix it now. He answers “The line is cut and he can’t make it longer”. I ask if we are stuck with it? He responds “Yes”. The picture is attached.

It will take a long time for Bell to earn my trust and at this point, I will not recommend them to friends or family currently. Two plus days of lost wages, broken promises, and a hole in our house that is simply shoddy work and unnecessary in it’s location. I will be calling "Customer Service" again once the Tech leaves. I expect no help will be given... Just more double talk and baloney.

I would give Bell Canada zero stars if it was an option. Horrible, horrible, horrible. We’ve been with them for years as they were the only provider in our area and their service gets worse and worse. Their prices are way too high, customer service is atrocious (long wait times, cannot understand the representative as they speak very low or sounds like there is an echo), you keep getting the runaround or getting transferred to another department. We had a technician here on Saturday September 28/2024 to upgrade our system. The Bell technician was unable to complete the download of fiber app on our TVs. The technician suggested my husband call Bell in order to obtain compensation for the unfinished install.

My husband has been on the phone for over 2 hours with them after getting transferred 3 times and then the call was dropped by Bell. He first called the loyalty department, was transferred to the technical department, was re-transferred to the loyalty department to have the representative in the loyalty department ask him some information and then although my husband was still connected no sound was coming from the other end, the technician was no longer talking to then have the call be dropped from Bell’s end. While, my husband was calling Bell to speak to them for the fourth time: Bell attempted to call my husband back but they must have been having technical issues as my husband would answer the call to have no sound coming from Bell’s end. Not looking very good there Bell when you’re supposed to be providing services to your customers.

I want to start this by saying that I was a loyal Bell customer for many years. My cellular service was generally good and I didn't think I had many complaints. However, I discovered that Bell has been taking my money for years, not offering to upgrade me to a new phone (though I have a 10 year old phone), no offer to bundle services, offer me a new phone plan with preferred rates for my loyalty, etc. Nothing. I am so disheartened that Bell is increasingly offshoring their services and providing little to no value to their customers. I paid easily double what I should have been paying each and every month for at least four of those years. You can do better, Bell, and you should.

I spend 45 min with their loyalty department and got an offer to start paying $139 instead...When I asked how is this a good offer to loyal customers offering to pay even more when asked for a loyalty discount I got yelled back that this is what is in their system for me and I can leave if I am not happy. This was a scammer who was allowed to make changes to my phone number, take control of my phone and charge 100’s of thousands of dollars in charges to accounts I never created and to my credit cards! There was ZERO accountability from Bell for the disaster they caused in our world by having to report this to the police, Equifax, Transunion and all the involved creditors and banks! Worst experience of our life dealing with this mess! It could have all been avoided had Bell asked for secure PIN and/ or proper security questions before allowing a hacker to invade our lives!

The hacker was able to create accounts with creditors in my name - using all the information in my emails and private phone, because the Bell employee gave the hacker FULL access by allowing them to authorize changes to our account! On September 14 I visited Wireless Wave in Dixie Outlet Mall as my son and I wanted to upgrade our phones. During the process I decided to switch my internet to Bell for a better price than I was receiving from Virgin. My Virgin internet was working fine, I just wanted to save some money. I was told the ‘technician’ would visit on Monday September 16. The day came and went and no technician visited, as well as Tuesday and Wednesday. The ‘technician’ from Bell finally arrived after a few phone calls on Friday. He spent 1.5 hours in total outside and inside my apartment and all he succeeded in doing is shutting off my Virgin internet, and leaving a foul smell in my apartment. He could not get the Bell working, even though they’re the same lines.

So we were without internet, all my entertainment sources and resources are internet based. We had to use the data from our cell phones, fortunately we had just increased our packages. They sent another ‘technician’ who spent another 2 hours to no avail, again only leaving a foul smell in my apartment. STILL NO INTERNET, THEY MANAGED TO SEND ME A CONFIRMATION OF SERVICE AND SET UP BILLING THOUGH. We hooked the Virgin modem back and I called Virgin to cancel my cancellation. I was assured by a Maryann or Miriam that my service would continue. At midnight Tuesday the internet went off, turned off from the office. So we were using our phone data again.

As soon as the offices opened on Wednesday I called and waited 35 minutes to speak to someone who spent 45 minutes trying to fix it. STILL NO INTERNET (which Virgin was easily able to turn off from the office but not turn back on). Yet another Bell ‘technician’ came September 25, he spent 40 minutes sitting in his truck, which my son recorded, when my son called him, he finally came upstairs and glancing at the set-up, made comments about dog hair on my furniture, then said he didn’t know how to fix it and left.

It’s important to note that, yet again, he smelled horrible. Is there not some standard of cleanliness your staff is held to when entering people’s homes? I have yet another technician coming today, supposedly a senior technician. I have very low expectations at this point. Bell Canada (Virgin Mobile) has gone downhill in every possible way in the last decade or so, from customer service, technicians and reliability of service to the simple consideration of their customers time and money.

The agent who had helped me, said not to worry and that he would return it back to its original price. Fast forward a month, it went back up. This company’s agents just want to get the customers out of their hair and will be dishonest to do so. I was told I would receive the original price I was paying to stay with them but I guess they just wanted me to pay an extra month instead of leaving.

Since then I’ve tried using the very unhelpful app and tried to get ahold of them through calling but the wait would be hours long. I told them I wanted to cancel and I wouldn’t pay until they bring it back to the original price and I ended up getting my account suspended and my internet cut off. I’ve spent the past afternoon trying to just pay it and cancel my account but the agent had told me I can’t cancel my account until the payment processed. Not to mention, they hit you with overage charges whenever they can and refuse to find any common ground with their customers.

In the past 6 months, I’ve struggled with mental health after losing my job. I was unable to pay two bills, totaling $180. Instead of offering support or understanding, Bell shut down my entire account. This is a company that claims to advocate for mental health, but where was that support when I needed them most? After paying thousands of dollars to Bell over the years, I was kicked to the curb during one of the toughest periods of my life.

Bell Mobility should be ashamed of their so-called mental health initiatives. It feels like one big marketing scheme, portraying themselves as caring, yet when things go south, they disappear and show zero compassion. There is no middle ground with Bell—they are rigid, unhelpful, and frankly, an embarrassment. I’m ashamed I ever trusted them or thought they would stand behind the mental health advocacy they promote so heavily.

Yesterday I had a tech solve the issue and it turned out my internet was set to 1/5 of the "max speed" I pay for. Today I decided to call and speak to a manager about being reimbursed for paying for the highest speed but getting way less for over 6 months, after back and forth for an hour the best they could do is 150 dollars but charge me 100 per month.

Furthermore the manager pretty much told me they downgrade the speed because the networks old and if you read the fine print it says you'll get "up to" that speed. So you can pay for the highest speed, get the lowest speed and that's okay with Bell Canada. I've already cut off Bell TV and a couple cell phones, I guess it's time to cut off the rest since they don't value customers who've been around for 20 years. Bell choose the right name Mobility, because I had to really run for 7 days, extreme mobility, just to return, as promised, the phone after two year plan and ended up that I had no success. The iPhone 13 was in impeccable condition, original box, not a scratch, but they want to grab an extra $400+ from you and hold you, so they put up a great show. It starts with return “choice”, at a Bell store in your city or online, they highly recommend in store as you get a “great experience and a chance to see new products". Aha!. So I dropped the phone, in perfect condition, in time to a local Bell Mobility store.

On my way driving back home I get a call, Bell, a really bad spoken English staff from “The Validation Department" asking my contract number, date of birth and the name of my plan?!?! Without these no return. So I had to dig to get the contract number and provide all info by call #1. Then the store calls as cannot do the return as Bell needs ore info. So I call Bell #2, another bad speaking English, hard to understand, wanted to go trough, again all, of my info and leave a note attached to my ex file. Store calls and asked to come back as Bell wants now me to ship the phone back to them, So I go pick up the phone and call Bell #3 idiot that is definitely saying there is no Store return. I have to Canada Post. To get the labels, online, my account was closed when I dropped the phone first day at the store, so I cannot longer use my account online.

So I call Bell #4 good guy, said it is simple, I got a PR 5 digit return number, phone in a box, Canada Post PR number, done I was told Box, Canada Post, staff there said there is not a valid PR number, must be 6 digit not 5 I got. So I leave Canada Post and I called Bell #5 idiot, saying “what PR number?”. Not such a thing, I must return to store and has the audacity to read/recite from their site.

So I decided to start fresh call. Bell as first time asking from zero how I can return my phone, call #6, she didn’t know. After about 50 minutes on hold back and forth she explains that, strange, she cannot access the return labels from her end as my account is closed now, so she really tried this one. I called her #6, better English and know how. So I go back to the store and I get back my phone, I apologized to it that I tried to dump it, I got it back, it is only $460 plus the 7 days of excitement running and meeting new people on the phone. So I have a new provider now, the phone it is mine. Next story would be Bell Mobility and traveling with the phone, delicious.

    Original Review: Aug. 28, 2024

My mom and I work at a small store and we only make about $3k/mo. I asked if I could get a discount because we couldn't afford to pay $140/mo. for phone and internet (our internet speed is only 2.1 Mbps download, 0.54Mbps upload btw, overpriced imo). Rep said they could lower it to $120/mo by adding another line and using the new bundle discount. When reviewing everything, they told me it'd be $120/mo for both phone lines and internet. The following month they sent 2 bills. One for $120 one for $80. At no time during the call did they mention I would be charged the additional $80. If I cancel before the 3 year contract is up I'll be charged $500. In addition the price is subject to increase $10/mo per line per year.

I had a phone call of about half an hour with Bell's Loyalty agent Marianne (Employee **) on August 26th around 18h30 which resulted in order #** to cancel my services. I was calling to ask for Internet Fibe service's termination as I was getting hooked up with another Internet provider (a company owned by Bell, name starting with Eb...) the next morning. Obviously the agent tried to keep me with Bell, made me wait long minutes before coming back with an offer (not requested!), to either, stay at 500Mbps for more money than the competition (which is 39$ +tx at the time of writing this), switch to 1,0 Gbps speed for 60$ (it's 59$ at Eb..right now), or to lower my speed to 50Mbps if I wanted to pay less...50Mbps!! 10 times less speed than I'm used to/need to have!

I told her she was out of her mind, I told her how ridiculous it was to charge me more for the same service their child company is offering, and who is using Bell's Fiber network from the central to my house! (It's even a Bell's technician that came to do the installation this morning!)! They don't want to keep long term clients and offer too good a deal and have the work out.. That's one thing, but the thing that drove me out of my mind is the PUSHING AND THE LYING the agent fed me (even after I told her I'm a Network administrator/senior IT tech)! To make it short :

     - The competition's connection and reliability isn't as good as Bell's network (False! It's the same Fiber network from end to end, with the exception that the Bell's technician told me he had to move my connection to the BETTER/NEWER Bell's equipment down the street so I would be able to (one day) get 10Gbps service in the future without having to come back to move it later on as the inside the house Nokia modem he installed can manage it already!)

    - The competition's speed isn't the same as Bell's, it won't be as fast as advertised (I subscribed to 500Mbps over Fibe), the speed will drop when VERY MUCH when people in the neighborhood use it when they come back home from their 9 to 5 as it's a shared connection. (False, false, false! Read last explanation, plus, it's a dedicated line, not a shared node down the road like Cable service are build, I ran speed tests, it's the same as advertised, Up and Down, and nothing like the 50Mbps she said I'd get with the competition).

    - I won't have as good service with the other company's as with Bell.. HAHAHA I won't even comment on that one.. (Online tools and FAQ in my account, Chat 7/7 8h-22h, Hotline 7h30-23h every day, Facebook Messenger, Email, yeah, better than Bell!)

    - Other lies about measurement of speed (Bell's speed is faster than competition's same speed with same technology, offered on the same Network, etc).

Anyways, I'm just disgusted by how she wouldn't hold back and lied to my face even if I confronted her, she tried all the tricks in the book and was really just about her bonus for keeping me in.. This should be illegal and sanctioned! Stay away, there's many good alternate providers in Canada, do your research and check comments.. Bell is the absolute worst!!

They cancelled and rescheduled for the 14th of August. Since then I’ve tried to get an update on the final installation. August 17th they said “Please give us 24-48 hours as I am going to make a follow up on this.” No update. On August the 19th they said “we will escalate the issue with our Case Manager and they will contact you within 72 hours.” Haven’t heard anything. When I write they keep telling me that the “control centre needs to verify the situation to book the last installation.” This is getting ridiculous. It's been 3 weeks since the purchase was done..

Bell Canada decided, without informing us, that we had to have fibre optics since they were no longer using copper. So they cut off our service without warning. They will deny it but it’s true. We phoned Customer Service and they were completely unhelpful and had no idea what they were doing. They spoke in jargon which is fine if you work for Bell but confusing for the average person. A technician came to our home the following day. He was doing his job when he told us that Bell told him to stop because we had interfered with “the ticket” - which is impossible. So he just left. The following day another technician came and he seemed angry to be doing his job. He made a few rude and inappropriate comments. A few minutes after he left, everything crashed and we ended up phoning Customer Service again. After a lengthy, frustrating conversation the problem was fixed (for now).

Supposedly the technician didn’t finish the job but who knows. Bell isn’t known for their honesty. Now we have been coerced into having services we don’t want and haven’t asked for. After so many years as a Bell customer I am ready to switch to Rogers. We work from home and have lost at least three days. Is Bell going to pay for that. There is so much more but not enough space. But then these guys still charge me for both the plan and the device, and it just didn’t happen once but thrice. I do have to call their customer service every time this happens, and it takes a good two or three hours. You would be waiting in the waiting list for the first 40 mins, and then one of their employees start talking about their offers and Internet plans, rather than addressing the issue. And then again they put you on hold for at least 10/15 times and you just keep waiting and I don’t know, it’s been a frustrating ride for me with Bell. Like you didn't assess that in the first call (for which no one showed up but they knew it was a broken cable), nor yesterday's visit when you "ran out of time".

Can not believe the level of disregard for customers' time, nor the fact that a senior citizen lives alone there and has no TV or land line to which his Lifeline is connected. And they have the gall to ask you multiple times to "confirm your presence" for their visit but either the visit never happens or they don't even knock on the door to let you know what's going on even though you've been waiting for them for 5 hours. Of all the businesses that I have ever had the misfortune of coming into contact with, Bell is light years ahead of the absolute worst companies when it comes to service. I was adventurous enough to return to Bell after they literally harassed my special needs child. We canceled our service because their internet was not good in our subdivision. The only landline we had belonged to my 21 year old Down Syndrome child. AFTER we transferred the service to Rogers, they kept phoning my daughter and demanding payment for a bill that was cleared. I spoke to people who told me it was settled and they apologized for the error but two months later they called again.

I then decided to try Bell again - for my cell phone service. They never sent me the SIM cards. My cell phones were never transferred to Bell by Rogers because I didn't receive the SIM cards. I received bills ($700) but when I told them they weren't providing me with the service I was assured that it would be adjusted. For the past 4 months, I kept getting bills. I just found out that my most recent bill for $104 is for "activating" the account (not activating the service).

I NEVER got the service because they never gave me the SIM cards but basically I was charged $104 for calling them. DON'T CALL BELL. Apparently, they bill you for calling them and then they waste your time (at least 1-2 hours per month trying to sort this out). I know it won't ever get sorted out. This is the price I will pay for the rest of my life for having made that call. I will now spend the remainder of my life telling them that they never provided me with the service. They must know because their bills usually show "usage". If they never activated my SIM card because I never got it - they know I didn't use it. SO CROOKED. I will not pass opinion on the product they sell - but they will do anything for a buck. The truth is that it would be so much easier for me to pay the $104 so that I don't spend hours and hours on end trying to fix this mistake. But I won't do it - not this time.

This will be my last statement with Bell and they can send it to collections because I will not be paying it.

I have wasted hours and hours...probably over 20 trying to upgrade devices on my 4 lines. The first new device was sent by courier and it worked but it was attached to the wrong phone number. The next 2 were sent in the mail and neither one would work; but when I contacted customer service/tech department and gave them the serial number and all the information, they could not help me (I cannot remember how many different agents tried to troubleshoot this issue for me, but there were several and everyone put me on long holds!)

I finally had to go to a store 30 minutes away to find someone who could help me. Even then, they could not replace the devices because they had been sent to me in the mail. I had to send them back to Ontario from Alberta in the mail. After obtaining confirmation that the devices were received in the warehouse, it took more than another week before they were processed and my account was released to purchase more devices.

The customer service is TERRIBLE! Bell has outsourced this service to call centers in countries where the workers do not understand English. (Even when they can speak it fairly well, they do not understand it and ask the same questions over and over.) I have spent hours on hold while an agent goes to check something out...like every time I ask a question! If they do not know the hardware, software, and service plans, they should not be answering the phones!

When I tried to get the 4th device upgraded, the rep put me on hold for 15 minutes while he checked to see if there were any iPhone 15's in stock at the store where I wanted to purchase the device. When he came back on the line, he told me they had none in stock; so I called the store directly, and they had a large supply on hand! I AM BEYOND FRUSTRATED with the WASTED TIME, ENERGY, & STRESS caused by this ATROCIOUS QUALITY of SERVICE!

I would give 0 stars if it was an option. They are supposed to be a reputable company but they are seriously unprofessional. They agreed to a price for the service and the next person who called said that they have no notes of that, then they couldn't find the cell phone account when we called back twice and so we cancelled a month later and they keep saying "oh this hasn't cancelled." Pardon? We returned the equipment to the address the guy whom we spoke to for 2 hours on the phone cancelling their service said to and he said once they received the equipment, the matter would be closed. It was also the address indicated in their email. We have paid the amount to get out of the contract then and 3 times now they have called to say we owe yet another $100+ which we paid each time and then they called yet again. I used to be with Bell a couple of years ago but I am shocked at how much the company seems to have declined.

Bell service is extremely poor. Initially when first purchased wifi speed was average then I bundled to their home security and bell mobile where they put you in a bundle contract. After being on contract there were sudden wifi network issues out of nowhere. I spoke to Tech team. They said No issues found. After few months I was still struggling with wifi and suddenly out of Nowhere I saw Bell increased my wifi bill by $6 per month and now threatening me after 5 months wifi bill will increase by extra $45 per month. Where only for wifi I was paying $50, then $56 after 5 months $95. This is pure scam.

I spoke to CSR Mark from Canada branch. He said this is the fair pricing and nothing else can be done. Even with the price increase their service sucks. Starting of the month the bandwidth works perfectly on all devices. Mid month they limit their bandwidth causing 50% of my devices to not being able to connect. I am locked in a contract with these crooks so there is nothing much I can but if you can do yourself a favor and find an ISP elsewhere.

To Whom it may concern, I want to report a potential report of fraud which was tried using Bell customer care. Someone called us and told us that they are calling from the Loyalty department. First they offered us a free Apple watch as a loyalty new customer(Attached is the email). Then after one week we received a Phone Samsung S24 which we never ordered. After receiving the phone we called customer care and they told us someone will call us in a week and this time they can't provide us with a return label/Code at this time. (Employer ID of person we dealt with for the first time - ** (Loren)).

Then we got a call from number - 1877-559-5202 (Jessica) that the phone was wrongly delivered to our address and we needed to send it back to Bell. We thought it could be a mistake but when I received a return label It was under a private (Label attached) name which raised my senses and I went to the Bell Store to find out more and check the legitimacy of the label. Turn out it was a Scam which we can easily pull off under the name of Bell. We then get the number from the store and then we call the Bell legit Customer service number.

I called Bell customer service and the most shocking thing is they initially couldn't find the phone on my account. Which I can see from my Bell App and also verified in the store that it's under my account. After 30 minutes talking with IVY(Employer ID - **). After claiming again and again that I can't find any details of the Samsung phone. She told me that I can keep the phone as they can't track the phone on my account which is a great shock to me. I can't even think she can say something like that and suggest me to keep the phone. I then tell her that I am going to the Bell Store while she can keep it on hold.

After reaching the bell store I tell her that she can talk with someone in the Bell store so they can explain it to her. Then suddenly within a few minutes she provided me with a return code with Canada postal. I am not sure what's going on with Bell Customer care. This all experience is a nightmare to me. Are they trying to force us to keep something which we never ordered. I am so surprised with the customer care service bell is providing to customers and not even listening to customers and trying to forcefully sell phones to customers. I think this email should help them if they want to protect the company reputation. Not thanking Bell for this experience

Updated on 09/05/2024: Bell Canada charges expensive and poor, poor, poor quality in service, in customer service and technician service. Is just a nightmare for who work from home. You can't rely in internet. Today I had a visit of a technician and they call me several times because I was not open the door, and he was in wrong address. For the past 3 months they say the problem is my devices, is the number of the devices I have connected when the problem is the line. I lost work days and the customer service said "we will not pay you the work day you lost so I'm sorry you get disappointed." I pay for 1500 Mbps and always I have less than 200 Mbps. Don't open video calls. Insane.

Original Review: Extremely poor customer services. Arrogant people and treat the customer as a ignorant. The internet just work while I'm with technician on phone and after drop again. In one month 4 calls and 1 replacement of modern. Bell says the problem always is the devices I use and I can not do any video call or having 3 devices connect in same time with 1.500 Mbsp. Bell blame the customer for the wrong installation and I call a technician to my place and he didn't finish the installation because Bell did the affirmation: "we are just responsible for the speed arrived on plug." What's the point?

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. It took me TWO HOURS to cancel my service due to moving to a new home. Seriously, Bell? I sold my condo, so I needed to cancel my Bell internet service (which the developer had installed; Bell supplies the entire building). I waited online in their Chat queue for over an hour - I started at #29 in line - since there is nowhere on Bell's website where you can easily cancel your service (note: all other utility providers have the option available online to notify them of impending moves, and they easily manage to close one account and set up the new owner with just a few clicks).

Once a chat agent finally came online after an hour, they informed me that I needed to *call on the phone* in order to cancel. (Note: there is also no such directive on their website, otherwise I would have just called in the first place rather than wasting an hour of my time. Also, it's 2024. We have technology for this. At least all the other utility companies have it.) THEN, I waited on the *phone* queue for over twenty MORE minutes before anyone answered, then it took ten minutes for the agent tell me my options that he read from his scripts, and after that, it took an additional FORTY more minutes to complete my request.

Not only that, but the phone agent insisted I'd have to provide them with the new owner's name, email address and phone number (which by privacy rules of course I wouldn't have, as that info is privy only to the realtors & lawyers), so I had to patch in my lawyer on a 3-way call to find/provide the new owner's lawyer's info, since their personal information would have be given to Bell only with the client's authorization.

My other alternative was to cancel the account and return the building-wired modem to Bell (only for the new owner to have to go get it all set up & reinstalled again). That's a total of OVER TWO HOURS to say "hi, I'm moving effective X date and need to cancel my service." Even then, the agent said the request was "under review" and they'd call me if they needed anything else. It's no wonder that when I came online to post this review, I see the overwhelmingly negative unanimous opinion of Bell's services. Well-deserved. From a company that generates billions of dollars in profits annually, it's an absolutely atrocious and completely disrespectful Customer Service standard that this is the process we are subjected to. We called support again and were told they would call us back and send someone to install a temporary line on the same day. No one called back and no technician came. We were told someone would come Monday instead after calling support AGAIN.

    - Sunday. Customer service rep called to check on the status and we were informed our account showed no appointment for a technician to come Monday. - We have spent literally hours on the phone on hold, calling back and forth with several customer service reps all while being told something different from each person we spoke with. There is no organization, communication or competence within this Bell organization. Every employee we spoke with is completely clueless and has no idea how to perform their job. The I upgraded my mobile device and had Crave free for 1 year on my old plan. I knew with upgrading my device my phone plan would need to change as well. Prior to upgrading my device and changing my phone plan, I specifically asked which services I would be keeping from my old plan including my free crave subscription. I was told I would have access to crave for free for 2 years as it was part of the promotion for my specific plan. There was a paper printed with Bell's offers at the time of upgrade showing the promotions. With my busy work schedule and personal life, the last time I had reached out with the rep who helped me was in February. Speaking to bell about crave was on the back burner for me due to the importance of other more pressing matters unfortunately.

I spoke with a loyalty representative named VON today, explained my situation and was told there was nothing he could do. He advised I had credits towards crave for 6 months that I had no idea about. He continued mentioning that it shows on my bill every month. I felt like I was indirectly being told I was stupid and it was completely my fault that I didn’t know of the credit. My plan was broken down to me very well in store, and I was not told of a credit for 6 months. I was told of a free service I would get for 2 years. Everything else on my bill I was aware of. My credit towards my actual bill for 24 months, my device payments for financing my new phone through my phone plan, and my add on service (Apple Watch). I wanted to speak to management or someone above to raise my complaints as I never call in and had never had an issue with bell.

I kept getting shut down and was told by VON that he’d been working there for years and no one would do anything. He wouldn’t connect me to management which was extremely frustrating. I was constantly being cut off as well. I communicated clearly I didn’t appreciate the fact that I was told something completely different than what was reflected on my agreement. I felt like I was inadequately taken care of and have a distrust with the company. Working as an operations manager for a large company, all I dealt with was customer retention. Credits are applied, or a month of bi-weekly payments is waved within reason and with upper management approval of there were issues that warranted said action. The fact that nothing at all could be done was ludicrous to me.

I would not recommend anyone to bell. Maybe they’re great for their phone plans rate wise for long distance/international services. However, customer retention wise, they fall below the bar for members who are actually loyal and don’t constantly call for “issues to be resolved.” Regarding their promotions, I suggests taking photos, screenshots, whatever you need to do as proof in case they try to dismiss a promotion they had claiming, nothing is ever free like VON did. I got crave free for a year. Premium or not it was free, I was not paying, so for VON to say what he said is infuriating. I have no trust in anyone who works for bell and will be considering leaving bell once my phone plan has ended.

I asked the lady with whom I was speaking with if I could receive an email with confirmation I had reported my lost phone to them and suspended/blacklisted the phone, the representative placed me on hold for several minutes and came back to tell me that I would be receiving an email with confirmation.

After not receiving an email the next day I called Bell customer service and asked if I could follow up with regards to my email, the representative said I would not be receiving an email and asked why I needed it. I explained that I needed the email for protection coverage with my insurance so I could submit a claim, he said he was unable to write confirmation and would allow me to speak with a supervisor as they do not allow customer service access to writing personal emails.

Once speaking with the supervisor I was told she could not write written confirmation emails either. After trying multiple times to try to explain that my insurance was requiring this she continued to deny my request and stated that she was the highest member I could speak with. I found this entire interaction extremely exhausting and stressful, on top of dealing with an already stressful situation. I believe the Bell Company needs to discuss as a team the kind of customer support they would like to provide to their customers as well as setting new guidelines when it comes to written confirmations for insurance purposes.

I don’t have anything to install. Back on the phone. Repeat performance. Wait again. Wait I get a bill for a month's service that I don’t have. Back on the phone again. That took three calls to sort out. However after the last call of 1.5 hours I cancelled the process and went with Shaw. That process took 15 minutes.

I've been a client for 10+ years, and there isn't an inch of grace. Canceled my internet and was charged $500 cancelation fee to break my contract. What kind of predatory practice is it to have a 3 YEAR contract for home internet?

Every time you reschedule an appointment, the guy shows up on the day you cancelled, 3 times now, and then they make it seem like it's your fault. And then when I got fed up and cancelled for good, 75 phone calls in one week. GARBAGE COMPANY.

Customer service is the worst! Bell customer service are inexperience and very unprofessional!. Took 3 hours to trying to solve a extremely common situation *getting an additional number* and the next day, they called again to say "Oh sorry the girl from yesterday did not process your order correctly" and spent additional 3 hours to solve it again! Bell has been around for decades! Situations like customer asking why is there an extra charge or customer wants to add new number should be less than 6 hours to solve!!!! It's frustrating! I like the connection but due to poor customer service I have to cut my business plans and my family plans with Bell due to a very disappointing and waste of time with their cheap customer service!

I have no internet for 2 days now. Bell finally decided to schedule a technician and said they cannot come for another 4 days!!! Is this not the largest internet provider in the country? How is this acceptable? I cannot understand how they do not have a tech restore my service for the next 4 days. If I could give zero stars I would. I was very excited to switch to bell when it came to my area and now I realize I should have just stayed with my other provider. I’ve been on hold over 1hr. This is insane. I will not be using Bell ever again.

Totally disappointed with BELL Canada. Purchased a new device before 5 months and I lost It in this month 1st week. I was having insurance also, I claim and got new device after paying $565. Now the bell is saying to pay me the installment which I was paying for my old device also. At last I am paying double money than the mobile price to bell. On the basis of humanitarian background they should help but they are not listening at all.

Unbelievably, this occurred in the developed country of Canada. I found myself on hold by a supervisor of the so-called leading telecommunications company in the country, Bell Canada. Despite being assured of a quick return within "a few minutes," I was left waiting indefinitely. Attached are screenshots documenting this experience.

In essence, as a customer, I felt abandoned by a manager of Canada's largest telecommunication company while simply requesting a correction to a mistake made by their staff—an incorrect shipping address on my order. This experience is a testament to the lack of accountability and customer care within Bell Canada. It's disappointing to see such disregard for customer satisfaction from a company of this stature.

I urge anyone considering Bell Canada's services to think twice before committing. This is not just about one customer's bad experience; it reflects systemic issues within the company's management and customer service practices. Bell Canada's managers need to take notice of these incidents and address them promptly. As consumers, we deserve better treatment and accountability from the companies we entrust with our business. Let's spread the word and demand better from Bell Canada.

The service provided by Bell is terrible. If you want to get a device but with no service connection ANYWHERE in Edmonton then PLEASE CHOOSE BELL. If you need slow speed data connection where nothing loads PLEASE CHOOSE BELL. If you want to pay 120$ for a phone plan with no service then bell is the way to go. If you don’t care about your friends and family trying to reach you in a state of an emergency please choose bell. The worst reliable connection, there can be. The worst staff members who tell you there, “There is nothing I can do. That’s just how bell's service is.”

My experience with Bell was the absolute worst service I’ve ever been provided in my 27 years being alive on this planet. You’d be better off giving the phone to a monkey… and would probably get better results. Save your time, breath and energy and call ANYONE else. There’s a reason why Bell has 1 star ratings. If I could go lower than one star you bet I would.
