If there was a score lower than 1 star, I would give it. Worst service I have ever encountered, anywhere!! 11 Retention managers and the office of the president contact just to have them keep their word about the offer they gave me with my cell phone, but when I went to the store to get it they couldn't honour the deal - Unbelievable. That's not even why I'm writing this review. As ridiculous as it is, I recently signed up for internet and TV services because of the good price that a salesperson offered me. Three appointments to install later - all of which were confirmed prior, multiple times (through phone calls and text) - and they still haven't showed up. Having people take off work to accommodate their asinine timelines and not show up, again... Seriously??
I'm a busy person like everyone else with kids and job who cannot afford the time or money to get the runaround from a company that should be working to keep my business. It's a circus to say the least and the cartels of Canadian home entertainment services can kiss my business Goodbye!!! I try to support Canadian goods and services but Bell is the furthest thing from embodying Canadian values and ethics. The day will come when more companies offer internet and TV services in Canada and create fair value pricing through competition and maybe even treat their customers like actually valued customers!

Internet shuts off randomly. Tried calling CSR... wait time is more than 45 mins. We are talking about a company that spends almost 1 billion $ in research. Please invest some money in improving CSR and existing technology. Company that sues small IPTV provider... Also sues DTH on Roku player, a company that is revising rate in Feb 2017 to bring best internet to Canada. Please, please give us the reliable internet... better than underdeveloped world. Awful, super awful experience.

Just unbelievable... In last two months 5 times my business phone line and internet was not working. I spent more than 70 hours!!! Always waiting to speak with customer service representative. Every time they speak different and act different. Worst company I have ever deal with. Not trained people and they speak so rudely. They should understand client practical situation. They just want to earn money and when there is a hold you can hear false things like repair and technical support within one day. All rubbish... Every time there is a problem in the billing we have to call and then only they give credit. They don't care about clients because they have lots of clients... I spoke to even supervisor and he said he will call me back asap but I'm still waiting response.

Because BELL is a large company we all think we should go with them. DO NOT. They offer NO customer service when trying to correct billing issues caused by them. They AUTO renew contract even when you have called 4 times and received confirmation numbers NOT to auto renew months in advance. DO NOT support dishonest businesses like Bell. Try and 1 good Bell review... it will be difficult to find! Please save yourself and your company the grief.

Seriously the worst customer service I had to deal with! Cancelled my account in August, returned all the equipment. Then they send me a new bill for the month of September! I call them back and they say it's cancelled and I don't have to worry about it! Then I receive the same bill again, I call back. The lady says that the cancellation got was confirmed in October and that I have to pay or else that will ruin my credit history! And she can see that the cancelation was made in August! SO basically threatening me for a service I didn't get. Be aware of this company everyone!

About a month ago, a representative from Bell was going door-to-door in our area in an effort to drum up customers. Foolishly, we signed on with Bell, because of the lower cost of internet, phone and cable TV. I'd had a dreadful experience some years ago while having Bell try to provide internet service; it was really awful and I could never manage to contact a technician. The problems with Bell have already begun. I had a Bell employee call me on Sunday afternoon (!) telling me that our free movie special (supposedly free for two months) was going to be blocked if we didn't pay our bill. I asked her how much the bill was and she gave me the amount. I made note of it and told her I'd pay it via my bank's telephone bill service payment plan. Oh, no. That wouldn't do at all. I had to wait until the paper bill arrived in the mail. Guess what? The bill still hasn't arrived.
Tuesday evening, the cable TV service began to act glitchy. It righted itself but yesterday morning the service encountered some trouble. Once it righted itself again, the internet service slowed to a long and painful and screeching halt. This was at 10:50 AM and at shortly after 2:00 PM, I had the internet back, but had to reformat a lot of things on my PC. I still cannot access my main gmail account. I don't know what happened to cause all this damage/chaos, but I am so fed up with Bell, the provider from double 'h' 'e' double hockey stick. For anyone considering this farce of a provider for any of the services it offers, please don't sign up with Bell. Putting up with Bell's incompetence and lack of support will age even the hardiest and youngest of us beyond our years. Avoid Bell like the plague that it is.

Discussed installing internet using live chat. I stated that the earliest I could be home for installation was 4:30 pm. Agent says no problem, technician will come at 4:30. I confirm the time again, again agent says no problem, technician will come at 4:30. Same evening I get a message saying technician will come between 12 to 5 pm. Call to customer service was thoroughly unhelpful - no apology, no explanation, just "we can't do that" over and over again. Basically staff will make up whatever lies to get your sale, internet is not even up yet and I know they have no integrity. Will update as the bogus charges inevitably start coming in.

Marketing agents fooled with a deal of $109 for Fibe TV and Unlimited Internet but once installation complete get confirmation with $150.00 billing. Marketing person calls up for increased internet speed at $7 price increase I agree. Next email comes speed increased with a bond for 2 years and 2gb. I call customer service. They remove the limits and say such thing will not be done. Within 1 week I received an email of discontinuing services within 2 days with a change of address. I am sick and tired of them harassing me and making money. I call customer service with the problem. They say they will stop the cancellation and take my telephone number for asking the loyalty department to call. It's been more than a week but, no callback.

It seems Bell is now making millions on calculated miscommunications. I hear nightmares from more and more people everyday which also lost patience on hours of phone calls getting nowhere with Bell Canada. They tell me they also get overcharged and it still doesn't get resolve properly. Now Bell do not offer any promos to keep you as their loyal customer. I have been a loyal customer for over 35 years and they are now charging me on my October One Bill $265.36 which is more than double last month's bill. It's because my 1 year promo term is done according to them. It's partly my fault since I should take a course on dealing with Bell's terms and conditions and not believe what you are explained over the phone.
On top of that, they just told me I would have a penalty of 75.00 if I cancel since they gave me a discount for the initial installation and the initial email I got explaining the charges is no good since they do not go back 1 year to verify. BUYERS BEWARE. I understand why more and more people find themselves having to possibly see a shrink. I encourage you to please also share your experiences so something might get done about these unfair treatments and charges which most of us cannot afford.

On October 22, I installed a new cellphone SIM card I received from Bell. My old SIM card was working fine but apparently, the new card was to allow my cellphone to access the LTE network. After installing the card and restarting my phone I could only make emergency calls. No service. No access to my voicemail. At 4:22 PM, I called the Bell support line at 1-800-667-0123. The rep told me that the new sim information had not been updated on my account. I was assured that my phone service would be restored within 30 minutes and that I should restart my phone every 10 minutes or so. By 7:00 PM I still did not have phone service and called the Bell support line. After 30 minutes the rep could not fix the problem and transferred me to "Level 2" technical support. No one answered after being on hold for another 30 minutes and I hung up to have dinner.
The rep did suggest I try reinstalling my old SIM card, but it no longer works. At 8:15 PM I still did not have phone service and called the support line again. After 38 minutes with this rep (and disassembling and reassembling my phone, locating and trying the SIM in an old phone) she transferred me again to "Level 2" tech support. The line rang once and I received the Line Out Of Service Intercept message ("The number you have dialed is not in service..."). I hung up and called back the support line. As I type this I have been on hold for 37 minutes, listening to the world's worst Muzak (the same music repeats every 2 minutes and 55 seconds). Bell lost my home phone and internet service a couple of years ago. We stayed with Bell Mobility because of our corporate plan. If someone doesn't answer this support call soon I'm going to give Rogers a call.
39 minutes...45 minutes...50 minutes...55 minutes...ONE HOUR and still on hold. Does Bell Mobility consider this to be good customer service? Take an hour out of YOUR day and listen to your Muzak. For an hour. 1 hour, 5 minutes...1 hour, 10 minutes...1 hour, 15 minutes...1 hour, 20 minutes...1 hour, 25 minutes...I'm killing time and discovered that I can get my old SIM to work in another old phone I dug up. Old SIM no longer works in my newest phone. New SIM doesn't work in any phone and now my newest phone doesn't work. So thanks for that. AN HOUR AND A HALF on hold. You guys know you really suck, right?
UPDATE: I was on hold for 2 hours, 51 minutes, 28 seconds. I'd still be on hold but the battery went dead on my cordless phone. NEW UPDATE: At about 12:45 AM on October 23, I was finally able to get through to another customer support representative. I think I woke him up. It was like talking to comedian Steven Wright. Or Carlton Your Doorman. I explained the problem I had been having and he told me that the Level 2 Tech Support had left for the day and that he was the only tech support. I asked him what he might suggest to fix my problem and he said "the system" was down so he couldn't verify anything.
I also complained about the 2 hours and 51 minutes I had to wait on hold earlier in the evening. Silence. I asked him if he was still there. He said, still in a bored, disinterested tone, "What do you want me to do?". I asked him if this kind of on-hold wait time is now the norm. Could I expect this level of service from Bell in the future? "It's out of my hands", he replied. I asked him if a supervisor was on duty. He said no. I asked when a supervisor would be on duty. "Later on", he said. "At what time?" I asked. Finally, he told me a supervisor would be in at 9:00 AM. I told him I would call back then. "Fine", he said and hung up. No apology. Nothing. Just a bored, disinterested drone with zero interest in customer support. I escalated my complaint through the Bell Mobility website, but to-date (November 2, 2016) nothing has been done.

Called to report slow internet speed: 1130 - agent #1 (online chat). Determined my internet account had been cancelled (no record of who cancelled the service). Note that I was using online chat at the time. Deferred to the "Account specialist". 1200 - on hold for 10 minutes. Spoke to supervisor. Call disconnected at 1230 while I was on hold and was picked up by business tech support. When she realized I was calling about residential internet, she transferred my call. 1244 - bell mobility support, then she transferred me to residential internet support. 1258 - call disconnected. 1305 - called back, spoke to representative who then transferred call to the "cancellation department." I hung up and called back to internet support. 1320 - call transferred to "accounts". 1330 - things are looking up. Jennifer was going to be able to help. 1340 - call disconnected. 1340 - called back and found out that I have been using my neighbours internet since Aug.
I had been having a problem with my internet since Jan when I switched to Bell. The technician who came to my home must have mistakenly disconnected my internet. This experience has proven to me that Bell Canada has serious internal problems and deficiencies that reflect poorly on the senior management teams. P.S. providing my order # will only show you the point at which I was able to get help. It will not show you the trail of the 10 other representatives I spoke to today. You have a lot of work to do to improve this service. If I had any other viable choice in service provider I would definitely have cancelled my account with Bell today.

I called Bell one week and two days prior to my move date when I would no longer be needing Bell internet. I received an email stating the time and date my internet service would be canceled. So far so good! 24 hours later my internet is turned off. Completely contradicting the confirmation email they sent out. Since then I have spent COUNTLESS hours on the phone trying to reconnect my internet that I still require for business purposes for the week. I have spoke to Bell customer service agents who have yelled at me, interrupted me, hung up on me and given me false guarantees with reference numbers confirming that my internet would be up within 24 hours.
I am on day 4 without internet. Appalling service. Speaking to friends and colleagues and this is a common story, Bell not caring about your service once you tell them you are leaving and canceling early. They are full of false promises and send out misleading information and emails. Do not trust them. Do not give them your money. AVOID BELL! It is NOT WORTH IT!

Bell sales rep called for no obligation loyalty internet upsell mid-September for only $5.00 more per month, which I accepted. Email was received September 14 confirming the service upgrade. This email did not mention upgrade being tied to a new term, rather as an ongoing promo, which is all good... so far. On September 19 or 20th, I canceled all of my services with Bell and was busy transitioning to new provider. Fast forward to my final bill, I am misbilled for every single service & charged a $100 termination fee for the mentioned upgrade. I search my email and find that on September 22 *after my cancellation* I received an email from Bell about the upgrade, this time they made sure to cite a two year term which was never mentioned, never would I have agreed.
On the phone many times with Bell to correct all of their mistakes, 97% of which is spent sitting on hold, then possibly being hung up on. Their notes on my account are not updated and don't have an accurate history of events and agreements. Case manager assigned to call within 48 hours never calls. Wasting more time chasing Bell to fix their mistakes and feel like they should be paying me for doing this for them. Nice customer experience management, right? The funny thing is that I was happy with Bell and even mentioned this to them. Husband wanted to switch. I had planned to return and that was obvious. I guess losing a loyal long term customer and their business is not worth as much as a desperate grab for a few ill gotten dollars *right now*. Instant gratification at any cost. Understand this a loss, not a win. How short sighted!
Now my loyalty is lost. The case is in progress. I am the one who is owed money and looking forward to finding out how it is handled, and how Bell will manage mounting fallout due to this kind of activity on reputation channels. I hope this helps existing Bell customers to be aware of such activity and insist on confirmation of terms and conditions in writing, same day. Then, more importantly, to watch out for subsequent emails sneaking in with terms and conditions that you never agreed to which are to your financial detriment, especially if you have recently canceled services. Disappointed and disgusted that businesses are able to walk all over consumers this way. So shameful.

About three years ago, I signed up a 3 years contract with Bell Canada internet + phone line. Now after 3 years we had lots of problems with the internet and I was stuck with the contract I had to put up with. So now I try to call Bell and wait almost 45 min to answer, I try to cancel the service, they were telling me internet you can cancel but phone you can not cancel because your contract just got renewed for another 3 years. I try to tell them I signed up for only first 3 years, you can not lock me up for another years automatically without call me, if I want to, or it should be on month to month basis after three years pass.
So now I try to talk with three agents but got no help, and asked for one the manager to call. They told it will take 2 to 3 business day, but now 3 weeks pass. No one called. I think this is not legal to lock consumers for another 3 years contract, once their first contract to finished. Here is my Bell account number **. I had lost trust with company, but now I should rethink about them before I call for new services and recommend them to others.

Not a concern but rather a complaint and a desperate call to have my situation resolved. I have been your client for 6 years and I have had it with the abuse and the lies from your representatives. Every statement is like a box of chocolates, surprises and extra charges over and over again for years. On my last statements I received extra charges in one of my lines for long distance. I spoke to a supervisor and he proceeded to provide me with a credit for approximately $83 or $86 dollars. On my new statement, I received extra charges again for a new long distance feature that I did not request and also charges for late payment.
I spoke to Rep ** and she told me that she was making notes in the system and that the supervisor was calling me back to sort out my issue. The call never came. I call back today, October 21 and spoke to someone else. I had to tell the whole story all over again since there were no details in the system and no manager, nor a supervisor to take my case; once again waiting for someone to call me back.
Your service is the worst, you lie to your customers and have no respect for them. Besides all the time that as a customer I have to spend speaking to different people and waiting for issues to be resolved and the mental sanity of being lied over and over again needs to stop. I have been your client for 6 years, I have 3 lines with you and I have also had dealings with Bell via the companies I have worked for in the past. Look at my payment history and maybe you do not care about losing a client like me but I am ready to know what my penalty is for me to cancel my contracts and take my business elsewhere. Please look into my file, resolve my situation and contact me with a final solution.

All my life I have been with Bell Canada for home phone, and for years for home phone and internet. First of all Bell's billing information was always extremely complicated and comprehension of all the information for the customers was highly unlikely. Secondly their rates were way too high, like all the companies who are there to squeeze the maximum out of their customers, this is called greed, a plague of modern age unfortunately. My new service provider for home phone and internet costs me about half of what Bell used to charge me, for equal or better services. So people, take my advice and stay away from Bell, they're only there to gouge you good, there are many services providers out there who are a way better choice.

My daughter and I signed up for Bell tv and unlimited internet in April 2016 on a one year promotion. To date we have never received the promotional rate we had agreed to. Calling Bell is ridiculous. It has taken over an hour to speak to someone after which the line gets disconnected and I have to go through the same process all over again. This has been going on for the last six months. My daughter and I both have registered complaints with the CRTC through the CCTS. After reading the large number of complaints against Bell I am wondering if there is a way to get a class action lawsuit going. The frustration and consumption of time wasted should be reimbursed. Would love to know how to start a class action lawsuit.

I had been a loyal customer for 4 years. I was on a two year contract when I had to pay out my bill to go overseas for a year. I paid all fees and was told I was out of my contract. I paid another unlocking fee to get a new Australian SIM card put in and was good to go. So I thought. Until returning from my trip to find they charged me a 400 dollar cancellation fee a month after I had bought out my contract! Since I wasn't aware of this fee for the past year it got sent to my credit score and is now affecting my chances of getting a new plan with another company.
I called to dispute these fees and the representatives April and Abdul were absolutely horrible and couldn't even comprehend the conversation. Once I finally convinced them to let me speak to a manager he told me because it was past the 90 day dispute period. I am completely disgusted by bell's customer service. Then when he went to leave I asked about the second tv and was told to call customer service. Bell Canada forced its clients using Sympatico email to move away from Outlook to a terrible new interface at bell.net, which they claimed was an upgrade. Instead, it feels like I am back in the late nineties on dial-up, whenever I try to use my email, which is absolutely essential to my business. The inbox is painfully slow to load--and very often, it does not load at all. The search function is basically useless. If I want to search for an old email address or email, I literally have to log into my old Outlook account (which can no longer receive any new emails) to find anything. I frequently end up deleting emails from my inbox by accident, because of the way that the system works.
Today, I have not been able to load my inbox almost for the entire day. My messages do not load and I was told, after being on the phone for a half hour, that there is a problem with the email system across the board. But they offered absolutely no time frame for resolving any of these problems. Bell.net email is absolutely unacceptable. We need to return to Outlook or to a new interface. If Bell cannot resolve this rapidly, I will have no choice but to give up my Sympatico email--which I have had for 14 years--and pull the plug on my Bell services as well. This is a disgrace! I encourage all of you to submit complaints to the Better Business Bureau. I certainly will.

While my issues with Bell began several years ago, and include several hours of on the phone time, three phone calls and over billings of 300.00+, I'll refer to the most recent issues. In May of this year, my husband began to have problems with his phone. The screen was becoming unclear to read and seemed to be pushed out from the casing. You had to squeeze the side to be able to read it. But no problem - we had purchased the insurance that would, as we were told, "enable for an easy replacement of the phone if anything happened" and "because you have kids, it's an absolute lifesaver". So we paid the monthly fee, for just such a circumstance.
However, when we called we were told we would have to pay a $150.00 dollars for 'deductible' to have a replacement phone sent out. Huh? Keep in mind that he had a iPhone 5 32 gig. Now, we were almost at the end of the contract, and if we renewed, he would simply get another phone for free, so why would we pay the $150.00. We spoke this time to a lovely lady who was extremely helpful. At this point, I was pleased with her customer service (this was my 2nd call into Bell for this issue), that I decided to forgive and let bygones be bygones and renew my contract at the same time and upgrade to an iPhone 6.
So, we receive an email saying his phone is on its way. I called a few days later (3rd phone call now) and was assured it was also on its way. His phone arrived and I had still not received an email for mine. I explained that and was assured again that it would arrive within the next 5 business days (4th phone call). 11 business days later I still hadn't received it, so I called again. I was assured again that it would arrive at any time. I asked the gentleman to please look at the phone that was coming and confirm that it was the iPhone 6. He says, no, it's an iPhone 5 and that the order was never placed for an iPhone 6. So I said, "ok, my contract on this phone is about to run out, I want ensure since the order wasn't placed that this contract will not be renewed." He confirmed that it will go month to month. I said, "Ok."
Now, while this was going on, I was trying to get his old phone backed up to iTunes to get the new phone working. I was running into problems so I called a lady at the Apple/iTunes help desk and she was awesome. When I was explaining to her how I had to read the screen she knew right away that the issue was a battery problem, and ironically, Apple covers that 100%, no deductible. She sent me a box to send the phone back and within two weeks, a new phone arrived. Had Bell employees been better trained, we would NEVER have been DUPED into another contract!! Oh, but it gets worse!! On Friday, I received an email on my phone number (both my number and my husband's are listed under the same account), saying that the contract has been renewed for another two years.
I called the help desk again (5th phone call) and after a LENGTHY discussion, found out that indeed my number had been renewed under contract. I reminded them that my phone was old, and that my husband had the new phone. The lady offered to talk to the "other department" and call me back (this was now 45 minutes into the phone call) on Monday. So Monday, she did call (6th conversation now) and told me that there was nothing that could be done. I said, "so you're telling me that my husband gets a new phone and no contract, and I have my old phone and the two year contract". I was told that I should have called her when I received the original email but now it's too late to do anything about it. I asked to speak to a supervisor and she told me the supervisor would tell me the same thing. Her solution, simply invest in another two year contract for my husband and he can get a new phone as well.
I have never dealt with a company with such crappy service and such accountability to correcting their own errors! The left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing and you get different information every time you speak to a new person! A customer service tip: don't tell me you "know how I must feel". YOU did not get up this morning, balance full time school, full time employment, a business, a household, volunteer in your community (all wonderful things) then have to deal with this. You DON'T know how I feel and to assume that you do is EXTREMELY condescending. Note! I don't blame the people at the call centres who do their best to be polite and helpful, I blame the company ideology and training!

A family member came to visit and I got her a 1 month plan. After cancelling the plan, I thought everything was fine, only to receive a $250 bill in the mail 2 months later. I had gone to the customer service and asked then to break down the bill for me. It was fair that my guest had gone over their minutes which accounted for $210. But what about the other $40? Bell had billed me for the next month as well despite me cancelling the plan. It is very disappointing that Bell would try to charge me for something you had never used. As far as I am concerned, it looks like Bell was trying to get more money out of me that what I was supposed to pay. Despite having heard negative reviews about Bell, I figured why not giving them a try. I should have listed to the reviews and never signed up with Bell. I will never make the mistake of signing up with Bell or recommending it ever again.

I agree with the person from Frankford, Ontario about the new Bell mail that was forced on us. The former Outlook was really good. The new product is terrible. I have a long list of complaints and, as he said, there is no clear way to contact Bell about this. The most annoying thing is the "check" box that he mentioned. You have to uncheck it manually. There is no reason for it to be automatically checked. If you hit the return key, it automatically double spaces. What if I want to line up names and addresses? I am now receiving junk and spam that I never received before. I can no longer just click on the inbox from an email I'm reading. I have to click on "back." I can no longer click on the sender's address to see the actual email address; it just gives the name. And on and on and on!

First off, may as well note that I was very reluctant to sign up with Bell after all of the horror stories I've heard and read about. I probably should have just went with my gut instinct, but then I wouldn't be here, would I? The price I got everything for was alright to begin with, but that's because I got it during a special promotional pricing initiative. As is typical I was offered this price for 3 months, and then the bill was free to skyrocket, and that it did. They were very misleading about what my full price was going to actually be after the first 3 months, so this was a bit of a surprise to me.
So the first of many issues I had was that they signed me up, without my consent, for a $5 a month anti-virus included with my internet. I quickly put a stop to that nonsense. They could see I hadn't even used it, so I was given 'credit' on my account. This was after me being a customer for a few months, so I have no idea how they just magically added this feature onto my account without so much as contacting me or letting me know.
Then a few months later after my promotional price is over, my bill magically goes up another $5. The only notice I received of this increase in price was a small (hidden) note in a drop down menu in my account page ON A BILL 2 MONTHS PRIOR to the bill they actually changed my price on. They don't have the courtesy to email me or let me know of this price increase, so I imagine they hoped I wouldn't notice. This was a permanent price increase on my services, it wasn't an added feature or anything. They decided to up my bill a few bucks, just because.
A couple months after that, the same thing happens! My bill permanently goes up another few bucks, all in the name of "Price adjustments support our continued investments in network, product and service enhancements." I find it very ironic that they are free to manipulate the price of my contract whenever they want, and yet I'm supposedly locked in to paying them for 2 YEARS. Them changing the prices of my bill should make the contract null and void, and I should be free to leave without any additional termination fees. But nope; they are happy to have their hooks in me and couldn't care less about changing the prices I originally agreed to. So after being a customer for not even a year, I was already pretty fed up. What kind of service company ups the price of their service and I haven't even been a customer for a year yet?
Fast forward to around the 1 year mark, and I decided to cancel my internet in favour of a more reliable provider. I followed their instructions for returning the internet modem to a tee. A month later I was charged a $99 non-return fee for my internet modem. Are you KIDDING ME. I looked up the Canada post tracking #, and there it was showing very clearly that the package containing my modem had been received by them. As a result of my bill being $99 more than it should have been, I immediately cancelled my monthly bill auto-payment from my bank account. I didn't want them taking that money out of my account.
After going through the usual Bell customer service charade, I had the bill adjusted and the $99 removed. But that's not all... So after I had the bill adjusted accordingly, I paid the bills balance manually with my credit card. But then 3 weeks later, guess what happens? They still take the full amount for the bill they screwed up on out of my bank account. So they forcefully still took that $99 out of my personal bank account even after my bill was adjusted to the correct amount by them. I'm not even kidding. I cancelled my auto payment on the 1st of the month, and they withdrew the money from my account on the 18th, almost 3 weeks later. WHAT?
Unfortunately I'm forced to call them again... They are unable to return the money back to my bank account, but a credit on my Bell account is no problem. The customer rep I was speaking with even had the balls to try and upsell me, trying to sell me internet (I'm literally calling about an issue THEY MESSED UP ON concerning my cancelled internet), and a cellphone plan. NO, I do not want to sign up for more services from Bell, why would I ever want to at this point? I was offered no compensation, no nothing. All I got out of it was a 'whoops'. I have email documentation of all of this, but yet they still couldn't just put the money back in my bank account. I got credit for it on my account, but I'm still left salty over it. Needless to say, I cannot wait until I can cancel my satellite service without being penalized $ for it. I will absolutely never do business with Bell ever again, and will recommend the same to everybody I know.

Just so you know, I have both my landline and my DSL internet with separate third party providers (neither landline or DSL internet is with Bell). About a month ago, I called my ISP because I had no internet signal for one whole weekend as well as one weekday. A bell technician was dispatched because my DSL internet is piggybacked on my phone line. The Bell tech came to my condo regarding me having no internet signal. He was a very junior tech who only had been on the job for 2-3 months. He tried to troubleshoot but could not find the reason for my internet outage. I advised him that my ISP was going to give me a free speed upgrade to 10 mbps in about 2 weeks' time (this would require a separate visit).
He then went into the hall closet where all of the wires are for my landline. He then left and I found out afterwards that he had disconnected my phone jack in my master bedroom. I called him back on his cell and he came back later the same day and he got that jack working again but then he somehow disconnected the wall jack in the living room and he couldn't get it working and he told me that he would have to come back the next day to fix it. I called him the next day in the am and he told me that he had been dispatched to another call. I then got very angry as this guy was wasting my time and he did not seem to want to correct his mistake.
I then called Bell repair service and spoke to a supervisor who promised to send out a technician in 5 days' time to correct the problem at no charge to me. Well, you might have guessed the outcome which was they (Bell) were not coming out so I ended up wasting 7.5 hours waiting for a no show technician from Bell. As well, no one from Bell called to say that they would not be coming. I then called Bell repair and I was told that a service ticket had been opened but since I was not a Bell customer the ticket was subsequently cancelled without anyone from Bell having the courtesy to call and notify me of this. I then called the office of the Bell Canada CEO in Toronto and they escalated the issue and Bell finally sent me a very competent Bell tech who had 8 years on the job so he fixed my broken jack in the living room.
Another Bell tech came about 2 weeks later to do the speed upgrade and that went smoothly. I then told Bell that I wanted them to compensate me for $200.00 for all of my time that got wasted waiting for no show technicians, etc. Bell finally agreed to send me a gift certificate for $50.00 so they couriered it to me BUT they never put the $50.00 on it so I had to call them back again to inform them of this issue so they finally uploaded the $50.00 on to my gift certificate. Based on this very negative experience, I will never ever go back to Bell and I will certainly not recommend Bell to any of my family or friends.

One morning, while our next door neighbor's Bell phone line was being buried (after being left hanging above ground for months), the contractor cut our buried electric dog fence wire (invisible fence). We notified Bell later that day. Bell couldn't handle our request because we were not a Bell customer, our neighbor is. The neighbor came over and we talked with Bell together, so Bell could use the neighbor's account in its system. Bell said someone would come Monday (this was a Friday).
Meantime, the same day our dog fence was cut, neighbor on the other side of our neighbor had a line cut too -- their phone line -- because of Bell. The next day (yes, Saturday) a Bell service person fixed the phone line of the neighbor on the other side and at the request of our next door neighbor, came to inspect the damage to the invisible dog fence. He located the damage and said he could easily fix it. He called his boss who said, "NO! This is not a Bell problem." "It is a Bell contractor problem," he was told. So, here we had a technician was willing to make this quick 10 minute fix the next day, but he was told he was not allowed to. It was not part of the "job" he was sent to do.
So, 6 weeks later, after at least 15 phone calls to Bell made by me and/or my neighbor; at least 30 hours (I'm not exaggerating) of combined time on hold (personal time of mine and my neighbor's), and 5 different repair request "ticket" numbers, finally the Bell contractor came out and fixed it in about 10 minutes. It took Bell 5 weeks to contact the contractor! After the contractor called, he was on it in a few days. He would have been here sooner, except for weather-related problems.
Bell scheduled people to come four different times, and each time no one came and no one called. The ticket numbers -- 4 different ones were issued -- were useless. No one knows why the ticket numbers were lost from the system and there was no record of them. Each time we had to tell the story again! What the heck? No record of our calls? Bell was so incompetent. How can Bell get away with this kind of customer service? This kind of treatment is unconscionable.

(Actually, later, they say no appointment was made and says Bell does not go to pick up things!) One says, "Bell will send you a RETURN KIT! You should put the return sticker on the box when you return." Wait for a LONG, LONG TIME, EVEN MONTHS, but the return kit doesn't come! WOW. Now, you could not return Bell products because of Bell's FAULT, but your bill will say that YOU OWE A BIG AMOUNT OF MONEY for Bell's products. Bell often breaks appointments. I see that there are numerous days in a row that the time is 2320 hours and duration show 1440 min:sec. This goes from May 24 until June 14th; then it goes from June 17 until June 22, but this time it shows 10:07 but the duration is still 1440 for most of those days. And then when you call them right again, they make you wait and someone else will come and good luck telling the whole thing again to that person because they won't forward you to the same person. I chose the $65 calling plan and the 15 GB of data. In the cart the 15 GB of data was NOT a monthly charge. It was to be a one-time fee on the first bill (I have a screenshot), which would make the plan cost $65 per month including the 15 GB of data.
I contacted chat right away because that would be an amazing deal. Chat had no idea what they were talking about and insisted I was wrong, as stated I had the screenshot and explained it to them in detail. I even walked them through the process on the website so they could see the results themselves. They still couldn't understand the what I was saying and wouldn't honor the price shown in the cart. Mistake on the website or not, you should always honor your offers and don't have chat reps that have no clue. A new customer who just purchased this online without talking to chat would have expected the $65 per month phone bill and received a $190 per month bill.

So I got my bill a month later which charged me for one whole month and I talked to another Bell agent again who told me this will be the last bill.
Again early this month, I got another e-bill from Bell. I was confused and contact Bell with the answer my cable and internet was not cancelled!!! And Bell have no record of my cancellation calls!!! The agent told me there was some activities after my cancellation which is untrue since I disconnect all Bell devices once I switched to Rogers??? Prior to writing this review/complaint I was curious to see if someone out there was going through the same hellish situation. Surely enough I landed on a review identical to mine. I found Ramneet's review from Alberta and together we experienced what I believe is downright FRAUD. When I switched over from Rogers, Bell assured me that their insurance plan (dealt from a third party company called Asurion) was a must-have and because I went through a similar situation with Rogers, I was reluctant to sign-up. It got to the point that there were 3 sales reps ordered me to add it to my plan. I agreed to the 10$ a month charge for the replacement of my device if anything happened to my phone (lost, stolen, damaged, anything). Unfortunately my phone broke the day I bought it and I was forced to get a replacement (I then understood why I had to get the insurance).
I paid the 250$ deductible and when speaking with the tech from Bell I was never told to send the phone back to Bell (I still have the damaged phone). 5 months after paying and getting my phone, I saw a charge on my May bill of $650. This was after I had paid $450 for the month of April. I called Bell and at first I thought it must have been a billing mistake. But no, it wasn't a "mistake". Bell was trying to charge me for the first phone that I had damaged, apparently I had to send it back to Asurion, the insurance company. All this to say, I WILL NEVER PAY THEM. They are cutting my phone line tomorrow and will probably charge me for the phone since I haven't paid it in full yet.
LET'S DO THE MATH: $450 (April bill, Bell skewed me with extra data charges) + $750 (May bill, June bill, replacement phone) + $250 (deductible) + $35 deactivation fee. The grand total for replacing a phone and three months of cellphone usage = $ 1485. To summarize, I would rather do the following than deal with Bell again: Dive into a pool of piranhas. Cut my eye lids off. Drink a glass of acid. Slap a gorilla in the face. Play tennis with a grenade. Be a professional toilet cleaner. Do the moonwalk barefoot across a floor of 2 inches of broken glass. Try to fit a pumpkin through my nose. Watch the teletubbies for 10 hours every single day for the rest of my life. Live in an Amish society. Wear a sign around my neck that says: "punch me in the face, I don't mind." Sleep on a bed of hot coals. I feel much better, thanks Consumer Affairs.

They asked me to pay $250 which was $200 earlier.
When I complained about the phone not working well, they said it's a third party and they are not responsible for it. Am I the only one that does not like the Bell email? I was happily using outlook to access my Bell email account for many years. This is a very simple and efficient email program. I received an email from Bell saying that I must use Bell email. This email program has been problematic from day 1. Things didn't start well. I could not see my sent items. They were not lost, just not visible to me! When I reported this I was asked several times for my password, which I refused to provide. The next day when I tried to go in, I could not get in as my password had been changed. When I called in, I was advised that my password had been changed. I was told that I would be advised when my problem was resolved. Hard to believe I was the only one having an issue.
Needless to say, no one ever called, but the problem was in fact addressed. Other issues that I reported still remain unresolved. The most annoying is that it always flags an email for deletion. If you are not careful you may delete something you do not intend to delete. Another annoyance is there are little drop downs at the top of the page that appear if you hover over them, but do not disappear when you move the cursor off. Frequently when I am trying to mark an item, I actually end up opening the item. Never had this problem with Outlook. This is the only application I know of that separates inputting your password on a separate screen from your user id. A small thing, but when you add all of these irritations, very frustrating. I tried to find somewhere on the Bell site to send this feedback, but could not.

NOTHING was as expected after the 9 hour installation. So now 10 hours of phone discussion later with 13 different people, thing seem to be heading in the right direction. However, we purchased a Samsung Galaxy View tablet, sold exclusively by Bell owned stores because, according to Bell advertising, it would permit you to watch Bell Fibe in any room in your house and do so immediately upon opening the box as the Bell Fibe app was already installed.

The GSM blacklist database is being used as a collection tool versus it's intended means as a listing for truly stolen/lost cell phones. Bell is using this versus collection and law for the purposes of collecting the subsidies from delinquent contract holders. In the summer of 2014, I purchased a Samsung S4 SGH-I337 with an imei # ** from a person I had used as a casual laborer for about 2 weeks total prior to this. He showed me the Bell bill of sale, listing the phone by ESN/EMEI and model, which matched the bill. I contacted Bell and asked if the unit was OK to purchase. Bell stated that it would be locked to Bell, otherwise no issue, obligation for any subsidy was his obligation.
The unit worked fine for many months (6, I believe) and then it stopped working, I brought it in to a cell shop and they told me it was blacklisted as stolen. I went to the Surrey RCMP and Sgt ** looked up the phone and stated it was showing as fraudulent activity. I told him about the bill of sale verification and the Bell call, and the RCMP stated it was a civil issue, that probably he didn't pay his bill. I asked him why when the shop looked it up, it was shown as stolen, and as such I would have been the thief, and which was it? Fraud or stolen? He discussed it with others and stated that their database shows it as fraudulent and the issue is with Bell and the purchaser.
I then wrote to your Bell office in Vancouver on Virtual Way, after spending hours on in the queue trying to speak to someone about it. I had to buy a new phone and set this one aside waiting for a response that never came. My son just had his phone stolen and I thought I would give this another attempt. After hours in the queue, I spoke with Shey in the Philippines. After 45 mins, she directed me to the fraud department, where I spoke at length with Prevention Agent #**. I explained how I did due diligence in my purchase, and she was sympathetic but unwavering, stating If I bought a car that was stolen, would I expect to keep it? I reversed the scenario stating, yes I did buy the car, but only after verifying the bill of sale matched the person I was buying it from, as well as going to the RCMP/DMV/GM etc to verify it was not stolen.
With the cost of phones becoming so dear, it may be time to start a lean registry for these as they do other larger ticket items. I don't know what has transpired between Bell and the person I purchased from. What I do know is my good intentions and diligence is for naught. I paid a fair market price for this phone, and I am being penalized because he hasn't paid you folks, which I am sorry for Bell as well. However both Bell and I are deemed good citizens, corporate and personal and I am asking that you release this above-mentioned phone from the blacklist. I believe it's the right thing to do.

Is there any internet provider worse than Bell.ca or all of them are like this? First a hardly acceptable price is offered and you accept because they advertise a lot but after a few months a major increase hits you. They tell you first 3 month you had was a promotion. 2~4 times a year there is an increase on the monthly fee without any notification! The customer's consent is not important at all. When you contact Online or by Phone to resolve any issue, you are transferred couple of times and usually it is a dead end. "This is the wrong department", "this office is closed at the moment"… It gets worse when there is a reimbursement involved.
Worst of all, if you pass your data limit you are charged enormously and when you ask why they say there is a usage plus over usage penalty!!! You cannot set the internet to stop when data limit is finished. There is limit warning which you set to email you but does not work. We ask why it does not work, they say there has been a problem for a while! I have used as personal and business and both experiences were awful. I ended everything with them and made sure there is not a penny owing and yet they come up with another bill after a few months and try to get their hands in your pocket again. When promised a tech would be out that didn't happen. Not only that, the person they had to deal with was rude. They had to call several times before they got one. Still not fixed. My own experience with Bell was hell. I was double billed for several months before I actually noticed. Was told by a so called agent it was my problem not theirs. Of course that all changed when I had to get another party involved. My husband. The people they have working for them are very rude to deal with. Bell, you have a big ZERO rating with me, my family, friends and yes I will be telling anyone I come in contact with.

I am frustrated with the billing and customer service of Bell Canada. I cancelled my account at the beginning of April and Bell acknowledged the cancellation and yet sent me a bill for the cancelled account - Fortunately I checked my bill and found out and wasted 45 minutes on the phone. Then after talking to an agent for 45 minutes they agreed to cancel the amount billed. Beware with BELL, they will charge you on a cancelled account hoping you are not checking your bills. This is the way they make money not but by providing service.

I visited an independent Bell store to take care of a problem with my Corporate phone. Fantastic service, problem solved. They asked about my home service and gave me a quote for around $145/month for a better service! The sales guy said, "will reserve the quote for 3 weeks." Last week my daughter moving decided to look at new bundled services. I was paying $178/month with Videotron for phone, internet, TV (30bps,150gb, 30 channels). Daughter just starting. When these companies give a quote an automatic message goes to the existing service provider, notifying them of a potential change. So now, my existing supplier, Videotron starts calling me, "what can we do to keep you." I look at the bills and quotes and try to compare, I mean you need hours and be a rocket scientist to figure it all out!!!
I told my existing supplier, "I will not spend more 10 minutes on this with you, just give me your best price." In 7 minutes the answer was $99.86/month and "we give you an 8 channel recording PVR, our latest and best (previous was 2 channels, they wanted $10-20/month for more channels). Videotron said, "quote is good for 7 days." I then called my independent Bell store (lovely people), YES, THEY COULD NOW MATCH!!! Folks, I have just gone from $178/month to $99.86 for 1 year!!! I could have gone for $57.00/month for 6 months. FROM $178 TO $99.86 FOR MORE SERVICE!!! How can someone interested in your business do that to you? How is that going to make you feel about them as a supplier? Does it mean we have to switch service every 6 months?
But the heart of my complaint is about Bell's follow-up policy. JUST TERRIBLE! Yesterday I told Videotron, "Confirm, going with you." They said "OK, we will notify Bell, you do not have to do anything more." Next day, 3 PHONE CALLS FROM BELL, 10.30 am, 11.30 am, and 4.45 pm, ALL TELLING ME A TECHNICIAN IS COMING TO INSTALL THIS WEEK!! I said "no, no, NO!!!" I mean, is the left arm connected to the right?
My daughter's experience was the same but much worse. She recorded her BELL conversation with 60's-70's siding tin-men sales strategies. I listened and just could not believe, India of course, just unbelievable! Guess what, my daughter said "I want to think about before ordering" she starts receiving phone calls for the installation time, says "NO", repeatedly. Guess what, a technician calls 2 days later at her door at 8.30 am on a Sunday morning to install!!! (the competition was installed the day before!). What kind of rational behavior is that? Anyway, now I know why I haven't entertained BELL as a supplier for 10 years, they just lost me for another 10. In my opinion we need more competition ACROSS Canada, and policies to stop abuses towards Business and Consumers from these companies MORE THAN EVER.

In our neck of the woods, we don't have Internet access. Currently we do have one bar available on cell phone service and an apparent LTE mobile data network. We pay for 7gb shared data between 2 phones and run a cell phone bill of approx. $360 - $380 per month for 2 phones. Pretty damn pricey if you ask me! We have been customers of Bell for about 12 years. Every two years they upgrade our phones and every time there's a "plan change" which costs us an extra $15 more onto what our plan originally cost. Every year more and more money. I believe it's disgusting what this company is doing. We can't cancel our services as no one else has availability where we live. It's very unfortunate for us because they know they have us rooked in and we have no other option. I'm just very sad and disgusted by the way they treat Canadians.

After cancelling my service in Aug of 2015 I was surprised to see a bill in the mail for $105 in Apr of 2016. Customer service said that I had requested a 6 month suspension of service. Of course, why would we have any idea we were reconnected. Maybe a welcome back valued customer email to inform us of the reconnection? They sure are quick to let you know if you are behind on your bill. Zero value for the $105. No attempt to try to keep us a customer, no reduction in the bill. So my dilemma, if I pay it, they win, if I don't pay it, my credit takes a big hit and could hurt my chances of getting a good mortgage rate when I need to renew. Bell wins again. Be careful Mr and Mrs Consumer. They always win in the end. Unsatisfied customer here. This time, I will definitely keep my Cancellation Code. SERVICE CANCELLED!!!

So now they are charging me $150 now that I am having to take my time to go to Purolator and return it. I am billing them $150 to return it, seeing I am a delivery contractor. They seem to think I agreed to their page after page contract that they send you AFTER you sign up with supposedly no strings attached. Has anyone ever done this?

My grandparent's internet works for a while and then stops and we keep having to call in. I just called a Bell "Tech Expert" because their internet is not working again. Unlike regular Bell tech support this guy answered after 2 rings. Apparently it costs an extra $6 a month to have him fix our internet problems! We don't have that service so he gave me their regular tech number to call. And of course I've been on hold with them forever with the same annoying 15 seconds of a song playing on a loop. Decent customer service should not cost extra! I've never heard of anything like that before. That means they know they suck and want you to get frustrated so you pay extra to speak to an "expert". Bell is awful.

After 13 years with Xplornet, their internet service had degraded to the point it was no longer acceptable. We live in a rural area and our only other option was LTE. I chose Bell because we have Bell cell phones and they work reliably in this area. I was initially thrilled that my download/upload speeds improved dramatically over Xplornet. But as we neared the midpoint of our monthly billing cycle, we received text messages that we had exceeded our data usage maximums and were now on extra billing. How was that possible? We had averaged, for the previous 24 consecutive months on Xplornet, about 12gb a month. In just 2.5 weeks with Bell we were nearly 20gb. Our first months bill was 25 gb, 13gb over our previous 24 month average.
Now, midway through our second month, the same thing has happened and we will probably be about 25 gb again. This is costing an extra $80-90 a month and I feel like we have absolutely no control over the data usage. This past Sunday, we somehow used 3.3 gb in one day while, at church, watching TV and entertaining friends for dinner. None of our 2 Ipads nor 2 Iphones are set to "automatically" do anything. Email is set to manual fetch. No updates are allowed. We are in our 60's with no kids at home. We don't have Netflix. Our habits have NOT changed in 24 months. And still Bell says we are averaging .73 gb a day! Double what it was on Xplornet. I am convinced Bell is calculating data usage incorrectly but cannot get any explanation. Either that or their Turbo Hub device does not work correctly. My calls to them yield nothing but patronizing commentary to the effect that I don't know what I'm doing and am at fault.

Wanting to upgrade my iPhone, I logged into my Bell account. I ordered the new iPhone SE. Less than a few hours later I realized there was a much better match for me (and a special on) the iPhone 6. I tried several times trying to contact Bell to cancel the order for the iPhone SE (which was prior to them shipping it), so I could purchase the iPhone 6. The "special" for the iPhone 6 was finishing that day (so I needed the order to go in that day or I would no longer be eligible for their deal).
After hours of trying to connect with Bell, I was given every excuse as to why no one could help me (even blaming APPLE at one point)! I was put on hold several times; the connection was dropped twice; I was transferred to the wrong department, and finally, I was told that the department I needed was now closed for the day (this happened only after I had already been on the phone with them for almost an hour)! It was also only AFTER, and WHILE I was on the phone with Bell for over an hour, did I finally receive an email saying the order for the iPhone SE had been shipped.
I was told there was absolutely NOTHING they could do to help me. I really was given every excuse imaginable... I was told I could RETURN iPhone SE, but they would NOT be able to give me the advertised special if I decided to then purchase the iPhone 6 as the special would no longer be on at that time (they couldn't cancel the first order before it was shipped, and I couldn't order the iPhone 6 until the iPhone SE was returned).
I can't help but think Bell could do a little more for their long time customers. It's apparent they don't care about their customers, and it's only once they feel they have you somehow "hooked" into their service do you get the full scope of how unreputable they truly are. I'm ashamed to say, this isn't the first time I've experienced this horrible service from Bell. I can't KEEP making excuses for them though. Lesson learned! Hopefully others will read some of these complaints and take them into consideration when choosing their mobility service!

Cancelled internet when I moved and Bell kept charging me for it. In fact, I called them many times to correct it and they didn't. They only threatened me with non-payment. Finally, 9 months later I was credited for overpayment on a cancelled account. I then, and I should have know better, called to set up internet at my new address. I was quoted Bell Fibe 25 for $49.95 for 2 years, then an increase. I said "great, do it". Installation was scheduled for a Friday between 9:00 and 5:00, which meant a day off work to sit and wait. Well, they didn't show up!
I called Bell who said that the installation man had in fact been at my house but there was some work to be done outside and they would have to schedule for another day! Seriously, I took the day off work to wait and they didn't have the decency to call and let me know this! Not one apology was forthcoming. Then the icing on the cake, "and by the way, the deal we quoted you was a mistake. It's going to be $69.95 a month for two years." "Are you kidding me?" I said at which point the rep hung up on me. The next day I had a call from Bell saying "are you happy with the service we provided you?". Absolutely unbelievable. Never again.

The week of February 24, 2016, my wife and I switched our cable, home phone, and internet services over from Rogers to Bell. When we called Bell reg the promotion we had received in the mail we spoke to a lovely sales representative who also told us that she would deduct $26.00 a month from the promo code **. This would give us a total bill each month of $51.85 plus taxes.

I have 65 GB included in my Bell Internet plan. I generally use very little bandwidth - maybe 1 or 2 GB per day - so imagine my surprise when I woke up to a "You are up to 90% usage" warning from Bell. Apparently, I somehow used 30 GB in one HOUR at midnight when I was asleep and the modem was unplugged. Since there was still 5 days before the next cycle and I worried I'd go over my bandwidth, I called Bell to try to figure out how that could possibly have happened. No one would even listen. Tech support kept telling me "our system shows you used 30 GB" and asked me how much I was streaming. With 15 mps service it would take me almost 30 hours of streaming to use 30 GB, not the one hour they claimed. They're not big on common sense or basic math. Furthermore, all they had to do was look at my history to see the most I'd ever reached in a cycle was 75% and the most I'd ever used in one day was 6 GB.
I got bounced from person to person - twice put on hold, got disconnected, and had to start all over again. After almost 2 HOURS of this and no one able to tell me how it happened, I finally got a manager in tech support. He was the most obnoxious person I've ever talked to! He wouldn't listen to a word I said and kept talking over me, saying the same thing I'd been told for the last 2 hours "our system shows..." He said I used it all through the day, not at midnight. When I told him I'd already been told it was at midnight, he went ballistic. "Who told you that?! I need to know who told you that! What was the tech's name? They need to be trained!" Yeah, because he lied to my face and, I guess, wanted to tell his people to stop telling the truth to customers. If I'd used it during the day as he claimed, I would've received a "50% usage" warning like I always do. I never did.
I also checked my usage as 6 pm and I had 34 GB left. I received only the "90% usage" warning at 1 a.m., an hour after I'd unplugged the modem and gone to bed. Clearly, not used during the day. But all I got was "our system shows your modem was plugged in." I unplug it every night and have ever since I got the thing years ago. No one could tell me anything other than "our system shows..." I guess it's not in their realm of possibility that there could've been a glitch in their system. Like talking to a brick wall.
After Mr. Obnoxious started talking over me again, telling me the same thing over and over, I'd finally had enough. I asked to be connected to customer service to cancel my Internet. He said "no problem" and I was put on hold, then disconnected, now for the THIRD time. The woman at customer service listened, but could do nothing - or at least SAID she could do nothing. She offered me the grand sum of $3 off an $85-a-month bill for the next 10 months if I stayed with Bell. Or even more if I got Bell TV. Like I'll ever get any more services from Bell after this experience. I took the deal, but as soon as I line up another provider, they're history. This is the way Bell likes to treat its customers of over 30 years. Don't ever go with Bell for the Internet. Or anything else, for that matter. This isn't the first issue I've had issues with them, though this is definitely the most appalling.

I received my Bell TV bill at my address for the last three years, but something happened in January 2016 and my account number was put in Lloyd **'s name and his address **, with his bill more per month than mine, it looked like this account was in arrears and they shut my cable off. When I called and paid the bill but wanted someone to look into this as I always rounded my payment up therefore paying more than required. I have gone through 12 people telling them off because each person says I called and changed it to someone I don't know and address I didn't know where it was but is around 40 mins from my home. I asked what date I changed this on and was told January 12, 2015 at 1 pm. On that day I was at Prince County Hospital as we were called to the hospital as my father in law was not well and died that evening, so obviously I didn't make the call.
The senior manager at Bell Maureen told me doesn't matter as it is just a name and mailing address but when I called bell it was no longer my phone number but Lloyd's linked to the account. Also if he did get my mail for a year he would have my account number and be able to go onto online account and get more of my private information. Problem is I tried to tell them I have always gotten my bill at this address but they refuse to believe they merged my account number with his information. Here is more help if you look at all the bills I ended up paying just over 300 that was not mine but they only decided to charge late fees in February 2016 1 year later for a total of 6.50. Obviously my theory is correct and something happen to merge account as I am pretty sure if I owed bell for over a year they might have do called and charged me every month I was late.
I even tried to show how I decreased my payments because I took theme packs off and started paying 9 dollars less. I asked "why would I do that". They said "we don't know". Last I asked them to tell me what address was on before Lloyd **'s address. They told me ** which was my address 3 years ago. So I asked "when I called up because I wanted my service moved to Lower Bedeque I just had you leave the mailing address at my old home". I've been with Bell since the 70's. Not that that should mean anything to Bell... aptly named with a 4 letter moniker. Absolutely no noteworthy complaints until the millennium, but that's when it not only turned bad it's done nothing but get more horrid each passing year. After years of billing errors, service interruptions and outages, not so slowly upward creeping pricing, total abandonment of customer loyalty benefits, zero accountability, untrained and un-knowledgeable reps and techs, surprise programming and service changes without notice, illegal charges and fees, broken promises... the list is endless... I am finally on my way out.
Yesterday, my internet service died. My modem was telling me that the remote computer wasn't answering. I checked Bell's web site from my cellphone on their Service Status page and it said "No Issues" for my pathetic dial up service so I called their repair number. I was told that the servers were down and would be back up in a while. Sounds about right. Several hours later still no internet and same error message. I called them back and explained my situation complete with error code numbers and descriptions... Rep #1 (total 30 minutes and several on holds) first tried to tell me that it was my equipment. I asked him politely not to go down that road as previous reps have tried. (more on holds) He then told me that my services have changed and require "re-initiating". I never asked for nor authorized any service changes.
He put me through to Rep #2 (total 15 minutes and 3 on holds) who told me that he'd never heard of such a thing as what Rep #1 told me. This guy worked in billing and was only able to confirm that there were no service changes on my account. He did inform me that Bell is actively discontinuing dial up internet but that couldn't be the problem because I would have received a notice in advance. He put me through to Rep #3 (total 40 minutes with several on holds) Never mind that he's not the tech for dial up - he's a fibe tech and not sure why he got the call passed to him but he's going to try and help me anyway. It took the full 40 minutes, with one hang up on my landline so he could call me on my cellphone while I tried to unsuccessfully get online for him to write up a ticket for the problem.
So - repair ticket finally in, but now I have a couple of major concerns. Who requested service changes on my account and what do you mean you're discontinuing dial up?!!! I live in the middle of nowhere and options are limited. So I call back to talk with someone who can answer these questions. I get Rep #4. She re-confirms that there are no service changes on my account (but it took her almost 20 minutes and 3 on holds to get that information... very strange), she also confirmed that dial up is still being offered in my area although she either would not or could not tell me for how much longer... then she tried to sell me another service that I didn't ask for. Magically within minutes of hanging up from the last Rep, Bell's server was taking calls!!!
You don't need to hit me over the head with a stick more than twice... this whole thing stinks of changes Bell is once again making and not telling anyone about. Within minutes of hanging up with Bell I called Xplornet and they're coming Monday to install. Once that's done I'm kissing Bell goodbye. I only need my landline to access the internet and I already have a cell. When I get set up with satellite internet I will not need the phone line or the dial up service (which really sucked anyway) and my total communications expenses will actually decrease per month while my surfing speed with increase exponentially.
My only thought now is what sort of grief Bell will attempt to create for me when I cancel those services. I'm hoping for the best as I am not tied into any contracts but after reading a few posts here I fully anticipate that they will turn into some form of morphed, forked tongue, vampire-mosquito... with really big feet. Lol! Weee!!! I'm almost freee!!!!! Maybe it's just me - but everything looks so fresh and green and smells like mint.

I have been a Bell customer for about a year and to be fair their internet works like it's supposed to. That being said literally everything else about them is **. I'm in and out of town a lot for work so I don't pay a lot of attention to the bills (it's generally my wife's thing). This past Dec. 2nd I was billed $342. It seemed a little high (my monthly bill being $142 plus 50$ for my wife's cell phone even though we had asked on numerous occasions to be billed separately for the phone). I didn't think too much of it. I just paid it assuming they knew what they were talking about and my wife must have missed a payment or something. Then on Dec. 17th I receive a bill for $642 and a phone call from a incomprehensible lady telling me I haven't paid my bill, but yet knows absolutely no details of my bill and cannot tell me how my bill is so high having just paid it (higher than usual) 12 days prior.
After arguing over the phone with 3 of these ladies harassing us I decided to call Bell myself. Long story short I spent 4 hrs--4 HOURS on the phone sorting this. Was passed through five different people until I got one that could actually DO something for me, turn out I was somehow being charged for a bunch of sports packages I didn't order. No problem bill dealt with and I should get a hundred and some-odd dollars credited to my account. Fine and good problem solved right? WRONG.
On Jan. 4th I receive a bill for $572. So now I start really looking into it. Turns out that for a service that was supposed to cost me $142 a month I've made over $3000 in payments on according to my online banking (that's not even including the amounts paid from my wife's account). I did order two sports packages with a month or two left in the season which are less than $300 total (full season) but even still at $142+50 (let's throw the cell bill that's not supposed to be on there in just in case) (142+50) x 12 = 2304 +300 (sports packages) = 2600 an overpayment of 400$. Now keep in mind I haven't factored in the payments my wife made from her account, the $300 deposit we put down or the $100 I was supposed to receive in credit. So now I don't want to spend another 4 hours on the phone with people who barely speak English or French. I mean we have two languages in Canada pick one lol.
So I decide to use the online service. All the nice online operator can do for me is fix the spelling of the Name on our account which they've had wrong for a year (also asked to change numerous times) and direct me to call the company again. So needless to say I haven't gotten around to it yet, but I did get a bill for Feb. 2nd $942 NO JOKE and that's what finally prompted me to write this review. Oh also I'm locked into a two year contract somehow that I never agreed to. I found this out when I asked to have my service disconnected during the aforementioned 4 hr phone call. It's a shame that this will now probably affect my credit if I don't pay the bill. If you do the math that's a lot of money I'm getting burned for. So I'm gonna have to either pay it or look into some other action to take. I'm anticipating paying the ridiculous bill will still be cheaper than hiring a lawyer.

Bell allows you to go online and do a TV Service Suspension on your own, saving Bell time and money as a result. But doing a suspension comes with a one time charge of $49.00. I called Bell and asked them what the $49 was required for as I did the suspension myself, but did not get any viable answer, other than it's a suspension fee. This is a major consumer rip off. I can appreciate that Bell had to spend monies to develop the online capabilities for customers to do suspensions online, by themselves, but the costs to develop that software in no way justifies a $49.00 charge, per customer. It's another money grab by another Telecom giant. There should be a Telecom Ombudsman that the customer collective can voice their concerns to, so that someone can actually lobby on behalf of all Telecom customers.

I upgraded my internet service to 15/5 and was provided a new white modem. Since then I have been having my worst experience using Bell Internet and also having issues with the CSR of Bell. The WIFI on the modem fluctuates in the range of 0.36 to 9.57 download speed in matter of half a second, with no change in the placement of the laptop. Just by running speed tests. Also, the WIFI drops every few minutes. It's so bad that I cannot surf anything. The Bell CSR's are also not helpful. They try and push the issue away, by testing on direct connection. The modem is a Wireline/Wireless - and Bell test only on direct.

Sick to death of their jacked up charges and quoted 41 for a new install with a 3 yr contract (although they omitted the 3 yr contract part). First bill 155. Had it removed then assured only 41 + taxes. Now get one for 82. Guess if they get it they keep it for payment to work on the overseas supposed customer service? You cant understand and we are teaching English too. Not fair. We all need to charge them for English as a second language class??? Bell. Hell. More appropriate name. One customer service rep went into a fit of laughter over that name I gave it on the phone. Guess many a truth in jest... though I wasn't jesting at all.

Ok, the first experience, short version. Was about a year ago, the only high-speed Internet service available at my house is Xplornet but I want cable or DSL so I continue to monitor such sites for availability. So the Bell website one day says that DSL service is available, but it wasn't. Took them 2 weeks to figure it out after many stressed out shouting matches and subsequent hang up. The installer didn't phone, didn't arrive, didn't install, didn't notify in any way. Eventually after missing 3 days of work waiting for them, PROMISING to show up on 3 separate appointments to finally discover the website was wrong. There aren't high-speed services here. Maybe 10-20 calls. They had no clue what was going on.
Second problem was the Bell Mobility. I called about the same time my Telus account expired to see if it was worth switching. After speaking with a sales rep named Olivia ** or might have been **, I settled on a phone and an offer. The call took over an hour, her accent was extremely thick, should give you an idea of the patience I have. I was to pay 50 dollars plus tax and agreed to pay in a few days. The SIM cards arrived quickly for my existing Telus phones, which I had paid to have unlocked previously at a cost of 150 dollars plus taxes. I called to pay for the phone but she (Olivia) did not respond directly or to voice message. I tried for about 10 days without success. I decided to call through bell but was told only the sales department could help me. I had already discussed a cancellation plan with Telus so my phone's went dead and I had to phone and reconnect. The original date of the Bell call was Nov. 19 2015.
Beginning of December, by now still no response. The call center gave me every excuse from holidays to a story about the phone system not working. And apparently ONLY that department could help me. I called 10-20, maybe 30 times. A few recorded notes in the call, most did not. Eventually I decided to cancel. The cancellation department contacted Frederick ** and gave me the email address ** to solve this problem. Frederick, I was told, is the supervisor for Olivia's department. This was a Friday. I waited the weekend and a few more days without response. Called back again and again, same stories.
Finally, about 2 weeks later, Olivia calls back and I try to proceed but made the error of missing less than one dollar on my credit card. Off by a few cents, we could not continue. BELL DOES NOT ACCEPT VIRTUAL VISAS, so I had to wait again for my credit payment to go through. Approaching 3 weeks of decide, forget about this. She offers the phone for free.
So like any good Christmas shopper with three kids, I max out my card again. She calls back later that night saying she needed the money again. Too late it's gone. Over and over with no hope in sight and a sore throat with 3 weeks of wasted time, I cancel for good. She called back again with something I couldn't understand and I just hung up. I did try to make complaints but apparently they have to go through the supervisor who refuses to take my calls or respond to email.
Oh yes, I forgot to mention the trick she tried to play. I suspected she was telling stories so I attempted to get a different rep from the same department to fix my troubles. I SPECIFICALLY ASKED NOT TO SPEAK WITH OLIVIA. THE REP TOLD ME SHE FOUND ANOTHER THAT WAS NOT OLIVIA. But guess who answered the phone, Olivia. She lied to the cancellation department and pretended to be somebody else. I recognized her voice, asked to speak with somebody else. She gave some excuse about something I couldn't understand. A shouting match again. That was just before I cancelled. In the end, in short, Bell is trash. Their support has gone downhill. I tried twice to get service from totally different departments a year apart with nothing but nightmares. Couldn't even complain about it. The ombudsman, the Corp. office, the supervisors, all blame each other and I went 100% ignored.
If you are a Bell supervisor/complaint ambassador that can field my complaints, feel free to contact me. Until somebody loses their job, I'll continue to talk trash about you. You wrecked my day, my week, my credit score, my Christmas. You cost me 150 dollars + tax. I have a breathing condition affecting my speech and you literally made me die sooner. No joke, as was explained on the phone. I can't raise my voice without physical damage to my insides. This phone was for my wife to go back to school but still be confident I am OK at home. Wrecked that, didn't you. If I had my way, Bell would be dissolved and converted to a 7-11. I'm sweating and coughing as a write this. Out of extreme rage about the way I was treated. Physically with no voice left, the Web is all I have left. End of rant.
UPDATED ON 01/20/2016: You might have seen my review dated December 29th 2015. Never received the service. Was told many times there wouldn't be a bill until the numbers were ported and my switchover from Telus to Bell was complete. Yesterday I received a letter from their collection dept. For just over 190 dollars. When I phoned them, I was transferred to billing who verified the account was indeed in error and credited the amount to zero it out.
Later that day I received a call asking me about the bill and to verify my info. I refused to give any info and was less than polite before hanging up. They tried to call me again a few hours later. I didn't pick up. I asked them to draft a letter to the bureau explaining the error and to remove any bad strikes. Today I started getting calls from Aro collections? Wow.

I CANNOT stress enough how FAST and FAR away people should run away from this company!!! I only gave them one star because something had to be there! I'm a new customer and had had my phone for less than one month. I signed up on a 2 year contract. Meaning that I'm supposed to be billed for my services the following month. Not only does Bell bill you a month in advance ( which they did not tell me when I signed up) they also demanded that I pay my first bill after only having the service for 2 days! And cut my service 5 days later for not making a payment. When I called in to customer service, everyone had a freakin accent that I almost couldn't understand. I spoke to 5 people that had a nasty attitude. I was told the suspension was taken off of my account when I made a payment arrangement only to have it put back on 30 mins later.
The 6th time I called in I spoke to a supervisor who told me the ban was put back on because their machine reads billing every hour or so and when it reads that someone owes money the ban goes back on. The only way to get my line active was to make a payment, which I couldn't that's why I made the payment arrangement for the day I got paid. The manager was not helpful at all. He just kept repeating himself and he didn't care that I was told different things by multiple people! BELL IS THE ABSOLUTE ** WORST. I will be switching to another company right after I get my phone unlocked!!!

Today a spend 1h 30 on the phone to find out what has happened and to correct the mistake. I think I was extremely polite and patient. The guy seemed to correct the mistake and told me that in the worst case, I would recover my services at midnight because it is the time all the changes are made on the system. I need to access internet and I wait until midnight to verify everything works fine but it doesn't. I call again. Again very polite and patient from part. The girl who answers execute everything on their process manual and couldn't find the solution. She transfer me to level 2.
There is almost 1 in the morning and the guy on the L-2 support begin to question me why did I call so late. That's when I exploited. I tell him that I spent all the afternoon on the phone and restarting the modem as I was told to do. That I wait until midnight to see if the problem was corrected. I explained to him the moving date error that cause all the problem and he tells me that the moving demand is still on the system. And that is why I don't have my services and that the system they use is about to close and he could do nothing. That I have to call back. That's the worst service ever I have received.
After two years convolving my wife Bell is a good company, I had to call a couple of times because an invoice problem. Even when I accepted to pay more because their mistakes, this time is the last one. I was told 4 times someone would call me back. Out of those 4 times, 0 people called me back. Some technicians never showed up. LMAO. After telling me to be home from 8am-5pm, I wasted maybe 2-3 days waiting and no one showed up. Imbeciles.

My family had been with Bell for 47 years. After a few years that the internet became an add-on service, the problems began. Over the years always dealt with having to call them every bloody month, and waste anywhere from 40 minutes to 3 hours per call, dealing with overseas agents, trying to get refunded for overcharges. Insane. I just wanted peace of mind, a fixed rate, but that was too much to ask for with Bell. Charging $2 for paper statements plus taxes was illegal apparently as it was part of the service to receive mail from them. But they did it anyway. The last straw was 2 years ago.
The bill kept crawling up every month, with NO explanations, and poor services. I just lost it, fought over the phone with incompetent agents, got nowhere and gave my 30 days notice. I switched to Videotron, and I could not be happier. They don't pull these games. The rates are fixed and you call once every 6 months for a new promotion and they find you the best deal. $30 for home phone service with Bell, when Videotron offers it for $9.95. Bell, it started when you took the credit for inventing the phone when it was Marconi.
Then you proceeded to screw every Canadian so you can line your pockets and monopolize the industry once technology kicked in. I think this company needs to be cleaned up from the top. They build lavish offices and buildings with insane overheads, clearly with the millions they steal from customers every month. They make a killing in interests alone and can buy the best of the best, while their customers continue to call in and get the run around month after month. I don't get people who are paying $200+ a month for their crappy services. There is so much better out there.
Still after these two years that I have switched they continue to send me unwanted mail and phone calls to get me back. Just one week after I settled with Videotron, they called and begged me to come back. Their offers were terrible and I told them I will never go back to them because they had years to fix it and prove their honesty to me. They insisted that they would match the competition and give me great services. I could not have been clearer that they had their chances. I told them not to mess with my rates and keep them fixed and I would stay on. But they did not keep their promises and played these games that wasted so much of my time, health, peace of mind and money that I just could not take it anymore. I know 2 other people who have problems ongoing like this with them. They call every month and argue uselessly to adjust their bills. This is NOT NORMAL.
For all those who fear switching, trust me it was easy. I had plenty of time to switch my emails and had I known how easy it was, I would have dumped them years before. The fear of losing my emails, which were linked to sites and work, prevented me from doing what I should have done. DUMP THEM. Dishonest, poor service, why stay on? Oh another issue I had with Bell was the emails. They often did not work send and receive in Windows mail. I would call and spend time over the phone with incompetent agents who would never resolve the issue and it would be their servers all along. Guess what? With Videotron, this issue has never happened in 2 years I am with them.
One time, this is classic... I was in process of doing a reboot to assess yet again another email issue, and I had one idiot tell me to click some F key which according to my laptop manufacturer instructions would have wiped out my entire operating system in that particular situation. Luckily I didn't click it because my gut was saying "don't do it". I knew it was something that you don't do and had nothing to do with my emails! And pressed to find another solution. When I told the agent that his instructions were fatal to my laptop, he acted indifferent and changed the subject like he did nothing wrong. Had he caused my PC to be wiped because I did not have sufficient knowledge, I would have had a serious cow. The stories are endless, but they have sucked enough of my time. No more. Stay away. Live life worry free with another provider.

I will never do business with Bell Canada again. Having grown up in Canada, my family always used Bell Canada for all of our phone needs. Bell used to have excellent customer service. For 12+ years I used Bell as my home internet provider but over the last 5 years I noticed a huge erosion in the quality of customer service, to the point that the customer service staff were rude and argumentative (It's mostly the men at Bell who are like this I might add). In November when my (basic service) internet bill went up to $70/month I asked for a $10 annual loyalty discount and was turned down (they had always approved it in the past). After years of frustration with Bell and being placed on hold for 30 minutes every time I called, I cancelled on the spot. I am so glad I did. Unless Bell radically changes their customer service attitude, I will never hold another Bell account again.

I had all three Fibe services from Bell at one point (TV, internet and phone) and though I was getting a good rate since I had bundled all three services, note that I've been with Bell for about two years. I spoke to a friend of mine and he recommended another solution and when I compared prices I was shocked by how much I was being overcharged by Bell. I do not know how they can justify charging customers so much.
So at first I just decided to cancel my internet and TV service. (Horrible mistake on my part. Should have canceled phone as well.) So upon canceling my TV and internet, I was curious to see what my phone bill was. I was shocked to see the bill after taxes was just under $100. Just for phone!!! Which is unheard of. I contacted Bell and they made up these excuses about how the bundle reduced the price of the phone. Their bill is not very easy to read either and they did not tell me about how my rates would be affected when I canceled my other services. Some of the mistake was on me by not checking before I canceled, but I at least to rate their customer service as somewhat decent they could've explained my options and what would happened. Instead they just go about canceling two of the services and happily overcharging me for the only service I had.
After seeing this I had come across a few companies which offer way more features than Bell offers at a fraction of the cost. Goes to show how much Bell overcharges their customers. And their long distance plans are ridiculous. Their base plans cost so much and don't have any features, so I wonder what I am actually paying for. I would not recommend Bell to anybody, no matter how good the deal looks. It's not worth it. Their promos may look tempting, but after it expires, be prepared to see your bill increase significantly.

Rest assure I will not recommend Bell Canada to anybody I know and I will let everybody know the level of incompetence at Bell Canada in all of my social networks. One or two mistakes can be understandable if accompanied by an apology, but so many consecutive mistakes are unforgiving!
My account billing history has been a mess since Aug 2015 plagued by all kinds of billing errors, technical installation errors for my phone & internet services at my new condo, and errors of ghost accounts being reactivated and billed to me, that lead to the deactivation of my email address and inaccessibility for 24-48 hrs until Bell technicians can sort out this mess! All of these issues rectified not before I waste hours of my valuable time over the phone, between agents and wait times! If I must take a guess, since Aug 2015 up until this date, I must have placed over 30 calls and wasted about 15 hrs of my time! I am a VERY UNHAPPY, loyal customer since 2003.

Since 2013 we started having long distance charges show up on our monthly statements even though Bell has not been our long distance provider. The calls are simply not ours nor could they have originated from our phone.
For the first two years we dealt monthly with Bell Customer service delays, insults and insinuations however going into the third year we've escalated our complaints to the senior customer care service and the CCTS amounting to no resolution whatsoever. Though Bell says that everything possible is being done to resolve the situation nothing has changed. I bought a 3rd party iPhone 4S from a reliable source. This phone is no longer under contract with Bell, according to her, as she upgraded at the end of her term with Bell. To her knowledge the iPhone was hers to do what she wished and she sold it to me. After purchasing the iPhone, I called Bell to find out why I could not use the phone. I was told, very rudely I may add, that I was not a customer and I would not be talking to anyone about the unlocking of this phone, which BTW is $50.00. I do not understand how Bell can lock a phone that is no longer under contract and how was I supposed to know that it was?
So I called Virgin and they told me to use an unlock company online. And so I paid my money for an unlock code with them, and still nothing! I deal with Telus and Bell Mobility will NEVER see a dime from me. I am basically left with a useless phone that I paid 150.00 for. I am on a fixed income and I need this phone for personal reasons. I took it to another private owned cell service repair and they want 90.00 to unlock it! I can't afford 90.00!
I'm not going to stop. I will keep trying alternative methods until I get this resolved. The only problem is, I need the phone ASAP. Please make sure you purchase an unlocked phone and please don't give these greedy, ignorant people your money or your time. I'm so upset with this whole thing. Or you are put on hold for an eternity generally waiting for the billing department. I assume because there are thousands of upset customers calling in with complaints.
I was promised back in May 2015 that on June 9th they would cancel my contract, which is up on Dec. 17th, 2015 which is the first time anyone has ever offered to do anything. Usually it is "sorry about your luck - these are legitimate charges and they are staying. Pay up or we will cut you off." Well when we talked to the store employee we told him we wanted the same plan as our previous provider. He said yes but it will be $5 more. We thought ok $5 is fine. Well they printed off our contract in french but we thought we could trust them. Boy we were very wrong. Our bill was $5 more plus taxes plus it wasn't the same as our previous company.
This last one or so I've been talking with the guy who originally signed me up and he tried getting a better plan but not what we agreed on in the beginning. So I called in and the last time I called the guy on the phone said "what were you promised?" And I said $140 after tax he said "ok it comes to $146" and I said well that's still not 140. So he said he would credit it and it will be 140 from now on. Well I just got my bill and it's nowhere near 140. After calling in and asking why it wasn't changed the lady said it was just a one time credit. This is bullshit. Don't go with this company. They are liars. Go with virgin. Virgin is a great company. I find it incredibly unfortunate that after paying around $1000 in rental fees alone for two receivers we now have to pay $400 because we can't return 8 year old receivers. I will honestly never use Bell again even though I have been a customer for over 15 years as this experience has left me me beyond stressed and disappointed in the service I have received.

I'm generally a fair person who can see both sides of an issue, but my interactions with Bell over the past few days have infuriated me. Selling me a defective phone, refusing to stand behind it, charging me for insurance I didn't order, switching plans for me and wiping out my business voicemails and then – despite spending more than $4,000 each year on services from them, their "retention team" was cursory and rude. A small dispute that could have been settled for a small amount has now cost them a customer who will let every contact he has on social media (2000+ at last count) know that they should NEVER do business with this company. We should break up companies like this and start again.

I feel angry and stressed out about this company. I finally bought my phone out - offer me another 2 year contract. I just want own my cell and leave this company for good. I know Chatr was far better with no surprise bills. I think I go back to them who were a lot more better for me. I hope this will help someone out. Please buy out your phone and do not go on contract. It is not worth it. I paid a lot of money. I finally dip into my savings and said, "Hell with this company, I am out!" After this month if I get another big bill they're done. They can go ** themselves.

I had to (and still) go through with a big struggle due to an error from Bell happened when I ported my account from Bell to Fongo. Either by architecture or by nature Bell representatives I contacted at each call gave me different answers like they did not have any clue of the problem history I am dealing with for days. To solve these problems my advice is please keep evidence of your correspondence with Bell. They are too tricky for a Canadian to handle.

First thing before you let Bell hook you up with two years contracts. Be aware what the price will be after three months, that was a joke. I was paying $145 a month, then got the fourth bill at $170 a month without any notifications. Not too long after I start paying over $210 a month. That was the end of it. I start making call to Bell where at some point I had to wait over 30 minutes to have some unprofessional to give me all kind of runaround for nothing. Ask me to hold the line and hang up!!! Worst of all is the satellite TV, that was worse nightmare. The day it's cloudy or it rains, no service whatsoever. Be careful and hope you make the right choice.

I have made a decision to drop my service with Bell and take my business to Cogeco. Bell must have found out via Cogeco that I am keeping my phone number and they have tried calling me to ask what they can do to "fix" the problem. It's been nothing but lies with them. Now, get this! I stopped answering the phone and what do they do? They hacked my email accounts. Yes, it's true. I will give you a for instance that just happened not even 15 minutes ago. I went to my Gmail account to check a tracking number provided to me in an email. I had placed an order online for a product. When I clicked on the tracking number I was redirected to a Bell Canada page that had a boxed message that wanted me to click one of their links to a phone number to one of their reps to "talk over" why I may or may not be leaving them. So I back out of the page back to my email and clicked the tracking link again, guess what? Right back to the Bell page!
Now it gets even worse. I signed out of my email account and went to my favorite's drop down box and just for the hell of it clicked on my saved Kijiji link... yep, Bell redirected me right back to the same Bell page asking me to phone them! No matter where or what link I clicked on to go to some other page I was redirected to the exact same Bell Canada page. They had control of my PC! I don't think this is legal! They have me pissed off now!

If you are looking to get the telephone, television, and internet services, Bell should be out of your list. Let me explain myself: So 2 years ago I decided to go with Bell because a friend of mine was able to get a deal for me ($140 with taxes). Turns out after 6-8 months of usage the promotion was out and I started paying over $170 per months and I had to call for new promotions and ended up paying $160 anyway per months for these services. This month (August) my bill came up to $185.95 and I decided this was it - I am not dealing with Bell anymore. So I called them and cancelled on Thursday the 20th of August before my cycle change. The lady tried to convince me to stay with them and only gave me a promotion that would give me $15 discount per months. Once I turned her down she started being rude and cancelled for me.
The story doesn't end here. On August 22nd, 2 days after I placed a cancellation order. Bell calls me back and some guy from the loyalty department gives me a rather hard to decline offer. I am being offered maximum speed internet, television with 15 choices of channels, and the telephone for $113 + taxes deal. I accept it and the guy puts me on hold to finalize the order. Turns out I was put on hold for over an hour and the phone ended up cutting out. I call back later that day to see if my deal was ordered and the lady speaking to me is telling how the deal wasn't complete. The deal she is talking to me about seems different and the speed is not the fastest one for the internet. However the price is the same so I keep it as it is and I hang up.
Today I called back because how things ended last night seemed confusing to me and I wanted to have a clear explanation on what I had and how much I was paying. The lady tells me she has to make a new order to see what I have and tells me how she has better deal with her password and etc. She ends up talking to me about my old expensive deal and is telling me how I am paying 138+ taxes now. She was never able to tell me what I had specifically so I decided to cancel because this was too complicated and every single agent gave me different prices and services. Turns out the cycle for my services restarted and I have to pay an extra month worth over $180 on September even if I were to cancel.
All this to say that if I had cancelled on Thursday and not accept the deal given to me on Saturday (which was clearly some BS!) I would not have to pay an extra month worth of ** services from Bell. I feel like I have been ** in the ** on that one and this is clearly how it feels every month when you’re with Bell. Prices are never consistent and even if you’re given a good deal, it's only for 6-12 months - after that you'll have to call back every time and complain to get what you want. (Not to mention every year they raise their services prices without telling you.)

In 2014 I cancelled my Fibe Tv services because my bill was getting out of hand, as a senior living with a disability and on a fixed income this is too much to bear. After I cancelled Bell sent me instructions with 2 envelopes to return their modem/converter and apparatus, with pre-addressed envelopes and instructions which does not match. I contacted Bell again and they sent me another envelope with the DHL labels- all the equipment was returned but Bell did not receive it. It took 7 month and an addition charge of 499.00 + 20.00 late payment fee. When I investigated the address that was on the envelopes it has a different company which I called. It turned out that this company in Scarborough does not work for Bell any longer and they do not know why Bell is having these items sent to them.
Bell refused to remove the charges until I caught their supervisor in a lie and this is after Bell had sent my Bill for collection by an outside agency who was calling me all hours harassing me to make the payment, which I refused. After I again spoke to a supervisor she confirmed that Bell had removed the charge and called the collection agency to have them stop the calls. Again I cautioned Bell about their practices and the fact they knew very well that all the items that was being shipped to that address but still went forward to try and force me to make a payment.
Just received another bill and again the bill is totally out of line. There is a long distance charge for 51.74 for a carrier called TAZOKI PTE which is a Singapore company in the mobile entertainment business but it is also show up as a scam from a Ghana based fraud network. I know this because I have been involved in compliance and due diligence all my life. This TAZOKI PTE show up all over the internet as far back as 2013 and is a known threat yet still Bell puts the charge on the line and in my conversation with a Bell supervisor stated that this is the first they heard of this and that the call came from my number which is also a lie since Bell also confirmed that no call was made from my number.
The first supervisor hung up on me when I insisted on him giving me an answer as to why Bell will knowingly 1- Have me sent their equipment to the wrong address and plead innocence and 2- Knowingly put a fraudulent call on my bill in hopes that I would pay it. How do I know that Bell knew of both incidents is because I personally call the first address and they confirmed item no.1 and in regards to item no.2, I asked the Bell Supervisor if she can check if there has ever been any calls from my number to the 900-783-3030 number and the answer was that there was no calls from my number to that 900 number. Fraud Alert: Be on the alert of TAZOKI PTE long distance number 900-783-303. Make sure to always get a Bell employee number and a reference number, does not matter how many supervisors you speak to. The services I have received from Bell has been nothing but a nightmare that does not want to go away.

I am always charged for going over data. The one time I did go over my data we made an arrangement and everybody was happy. Besides that one month, I never go over my data and I use Wi-Fi everywhere I go. The next month they said I went over and I didn't. They admitted their mistake and said they would credit me. Agent signed me up with false promises. I'm not in a contract where I was told I would pay less but I'm paying no less than when I was with Rogers. They transferred my business and apparently there was a mistake as the promo bill for the cable only was sent and not the internet! Also, the bill steadily went up every month - there's NO FIXED charge. When you call in to complain they'll say we'll give you $5 off the next bill for an accidental movie network (which costs $20) being charged to my account. Wrong bills sent accidentally. More money drawn out from my account accidentally. Cannot be reversed back to my account so I have to go to my bank.
One time my payment bounces because I was on holiday and forgot to transfer money into my expense account. They call me saying they need more account numbers as my payments keep bouncing. It was one time and the second month these moron withdrew 3 times the amount without being able to reverse it. However one agent tried fooling me again by said she could the second one I spoke to said no I couldn't. Honestly DO NOT CHOOSE Bell. Save yourself. Read the complaints here - they are ALL TRUE! Rogers was way better - they charged more but they were honest about it. Please read this if you use BELL CANADA... 3 years ago we moved into our house and settled with a Bell bundle: TV, internet, home phone. Almost immediately we started having problems with the internet. Very frustrated because all our phone complaints went unheard along with broken promises. Their comments are "we're looking into this and you will have better speed, out of courtesy and for being a loyal customer (trained to say), we will upgrade your bandwidth from 5 to 7 MB". Well tomorrow never happened. I know it's our fault for dealing with this for 3 years.
It all came to a boil a month ago. Our internet was now going out for days at a time, when I made the long dreaded call to Bell they were very very sorry (as I'm sure all none Canadians are trained to say). After being passed from one rep to another, a tech I was told was on-site at the box. The tech called me and asked what my modem was doing as I told him. We then started small chat and he said I was not the only one. I asked him, "what do you mean?" and he said, "my area only gets 1 MB of bandwidth and Bell knows." My wife used this for work and has since moved offices. My kids cannot watch Netflix.
All the Bell reps have offered me 3 mos. credit to 3 mos. refund up to 5 mos., not good enough I say. If Bell had told me from the beginning, I would have gone with another service provider. Why lie to the customer? I have been paying for 5 MB and not getting it. I want my money back and will not stop writing until I do. I know I'm not the only one there, has to be thousands out there. Everyone please check your bandwidth and make sure you're getting what you paid for. Thanks.

If I ran a business like they do I'd not only be out of business within days I'd be going straight to hell to boot. I've been a customer of Bell for 43 years. For the first 15 of those years they were great. The next 5 fair and since then it's all I can do to stay calm when dealing with them. The issues? Pick one.
Home phone (landline): Everything from billing errors that take months to resolve to loss of service due to equipment malfunction. Our lines would go out every single time it rained. It took me over 4 years to get them to stop trying to sell me over priced service packages and actually come out and fix it. It's 2 wire service, it's not rocket science. The problem in this case were the little black boxes up on the lines between the poles. The ends are sealed with only Styrofoam and they wear out and leak. For 4 years they tried to tell me the problem was with my equipment, despite the fact that I always checked for dial tone at the demarcation point before calling them. Half the time the person I spoke to didn't even know what a demarcation point was.
Telephones are people's life lines and if you can't count on them being there because it's raining or has rained you might as well be sending smoke signals. Last year alone I went without service for a total of 43 days and it took weeks of bitching to Bell to get them to not charge me for those days that their service was not available to me... but they did finally. For the one year only. They've put all the lines underground now and of course our rates went up.
Internet (dial up): Dial up is all that is available here. So from above - no phone means no internet. They would not make any billing adjustments for loss of service there. Several times I have been unable to connect with error codes that stated a problem with the server. When I called I was told the problem was my modem. I took my modem to a friend's house and tried it there and it worked. Called back again a day later and again was told that the problem was my modem and that it was just a fluke that it worked elsewhere. I called again days later (days later unable to access the internet) and was told that they have been having problems with their servers. I'm still using the same modem as I type this. Again, no billing adjustments for the days of lost service.
Cellular (Android): So far, in the 2 years I've had it there have been 3 billing errors all of which took 2 months each to resolve. Otherwise it's not too bad. Their service areas are ok but not great. I would have likely decided to keep the cell with Bell had it not been for all their other issues. I just don't want to deal with them anymore.
Television (satellite): Rates constantly increasing with no changes to programming OR changes to programming (less) with no decrease in rates. All of which I have no say in. They just do it and too bad for the customer. Finally I had enough. I have gone with another provider for this. I now have constant rates, great packages, friendly FAST service both on the phone and at the door. Something Bell NEVER did.
Customer Service: Where to begin... I talked to one rep on the phone who while I was waiting for him to do something for me, proceeded to tell me his life story about his son and how his ex-wife won't let him see him at Christmas (I kid you not). Another kept ditzing Bell during our conversation then he'd laugh and say that maybe he shouldn't say that because the call is being recorded. I spoke once with a supervisor for over an hour regarding a billing issue. She resolved it and gave me a reference number both verbal and by email confirming the changes. The changes never occurred on my bill. When I called to ask why, they told me that the supervisor had no authority to make those changes.
I have had several techs show up at the door for service calls during those "rainy day" outages all of which left cigarette butts in my driveway, and wanted to inspect the lines inside my house even though the problem was a half mile up the road. None of them spoke professionally or courteously and frankly seemed bothered that they had to come out. Truly, the list of bad experiences with Bell reps is just too long to list here. Even some of the reps agreed with me wholeheartedly that Bell shows no loyalty to long time customers. They seem to have a policy of offering deals to NEW customers only.
Oh yes, and once upon a time I purchased one of those Cybiolink phones from them. Cost over $200 that was to come off my bill in equal payments over a one year period. 3 months past the 12th month I noticed that they were still charging me for it. That took about a week to sort out but I did eventually get those 3 months of payments back 2 months later. I really don't know what broke at Bell some 20 years ago, but they are most certainly NOT the company they once were. To the point now, that within the next year I too will be joining the ranks of previous Bell customers sworn NEVER to return while I patiently wait for their demise.

I bought a New Samsung Galaxy S6 and at the time of sale the person who sold it to me said that I had 15 days to return the phone for any reason, no questions asked if I was not satisfied with it. Well, after 5 days I noticed the battery life was not what I expected (had to charge like twice a day). Also noticed it was the only one that didn't have an SD slot for external memory! So I went to the store that I bought it to return and they said I was over my data usage! I didn't understand what they meant by that because I only had it for 5 days and I have 1GB of data and only used 65 MB's! They told me that for an exchange or refund you have to be within 50 MB's of data.. no more!
So, I was only over 15 MB's and was told that I signed a contract and they wouldn't do anything to help me out!! All I wanted to do was upgrade to the Note4 (which would have meant giving them even MORE money) plus up my data to 2 GB's a month and their response was, "You signed a contract and there's nothing we can do." Here's the scenario: I needed to use my cell phone for about 1 month. So I go to Bell. I get post-paid service that included calling and texts. I paid $9.95 for a new SIM card plus $25 for Worldlynx Start Up ($9.95+$25+tax=$28.25). This is before I make one call or text, but whatever. I agree to pay this upfront on the spot. In my service contract, which is clearly stated, it says TOTAL MONTHLY CHARGE $30 (their cheapest plan) plus another one-time charge of $5 ($30+$5+tax=$39.55). There is no cancellation fee and the commitment period is 30 days. I make sure I use no data by having the sales person TURN OFF my cellular data. I sign the contract. Fast forward to the billing date... I get a bill for $65.91.
I made a few calls and a few texts while using the phone over the span of a couple of days. So I call Bell to inquire about the extra charges. They tell me $20 was added on my bill for 500MB of data. I read the contract I signed. Nowhere does it say the words "$20" and "500MB data" in it. Initially they refund me ~$3. I tell them "thanks" and that I would also like to cancel the service NOW, before the 30-day commitment period, but that I will pay whatever I owe just for the privilege of not being billed anything more from them. They remove the $20 data charge, but tell me it will show up as a credit on my NEXT bill! Okay, fine, I say. Have a nice day! The point is, however, they should have NEVER added the $20 data charge in the first place. And, if I didn't call to complain they would've kept charging me for a service I hadn't used nor had any intention of using, thus violating the contract.
They said the charge should not have been added yet it somehow was. How is this possible? Is this just a one-off occurrence? I doubt it. I had good reason to be skeptical of their offers before I signed up for anything and that was why I wanted the cheapest plan, so when all the extra charges get added on I wouldn't have to fork over too much more even though extra charges always seem to be an inevitability when dealing with telecoms. I'll think twice about paying for any premium service with them next time or activating any service at all! There's cheaper ways of communicating with people for $28.25+$39.55=$67.80 a month! And that was literally for about a dozen or two short phone calls and less than a dozen texts.

When we bought our house, we told Bell that the account was to be in both my name and my husband's name so that either one of us could manage the account. They agreed and bills showed up in both of our names. When I decided to cancel our phone service, I was told I could not do so and that only my husband could as he was the primary on the account, I was apparently the secondary. I explained that this was their mistake, that we were equal partners on the account, that I was the homeowner and that he was working outside of the country. After asking for a supervisor, I was again told I could not cancel my phone service. I said "fine, I am going to cut the line into my house and not pay you a stinking dime, you cannot force me to pay for your service." And I was told that they would continue to charge me and send my account to collections and ruin my credit. I told them that I did not care, do their worst.
Later that day, I went online and tried to put the account on vacation for 99 years but it would only give me a shorter period of time. Online cancellation was not an option. As my husband could not call their number from where he was, they gave me an alternate number which was actually for AT&T and they told him they certainly could not cancel a Bell account. After several weeks and approximately 5 hours on the phone (fortunately he was able to use Skype) he was finally able to cancel the service. Then they charged me $75 or thereabouts for suspending the service. This all happened about 2 years ago and I am still angry every time they send their junk mail to my house. Usually in my husband's name because, after all, according to Bell, I am my husband's chattel and incapable of making a decision about a stupid phone service.

I was offered a free bundle of service (TV, home phone and internet) because I moved to a new built resident. I got a mail from Bell saying Bell would love to offer me a free 6 months service to try so I called the number provided in the mail. I am 100% sure I asked the sale representative, not just once but a couple times, if there will be any contract for the service and if I can call before the six months free service ends to cancel it which won't give me any hassle, and he answered me there is no contract with that and I can cancel anytime I want. I also asked if there's only the internet service for free as I do not need the home phone and TV service, he said that it comes in a bundle. I have to take everything together. He also mentioned it's free service I don't have to pay anyway. I can just take it too.
Rogers offered me the same promotion and I tried before I got offer from Bell, I have no problem with Rogers' offer so I thought I won't have any problem with Bell either so I decided to take the offer to try with Bell. So the six months almost comes to an end. I called a month or two ago to check on my over usage on internet (I did asked the first representative if can add more usage on the internet and I don't mind paying for the extra, he told me it's a free service. Nothing can be change.), and this representative told me I can get a add-on for $10 for unlimited usage. Which I was already mad that I could have just done this in the first place if the first representative provided me the right information, so I don't have to encounter the over usage payment. Anyway that was already resolved by get the $10 add-on and paid for the charge.
I put a request of cancellation of the home phone and TV before the 6 months free trial ends as I don't even use those service and I was planning to keep my internet service with Bell. I asked what I have to do and bring back to bell, that representative only told me I have sent back some items to Bell and all the information will be mailed to me. He, nor any of the representatives I called before, ever mentioned there's actually a contract for the service and there will be a cancellation fee. I got a email last week from Bell for thank you me ordering their service. I was confused as I never order anything from Bell so I made a call to Bell customer service. The First Lady I talked to was nice. I asked her what was that and ask if someone had help me place a cancellation on the two services. She told me to just cancel the service with the cancellation department and transferred me over.
Then I talked to someone at that department, ask her to help me place a cancellation. I was only then notified there's a two years contract and to cancel I have to pay a penalty for $250. I was not happy about that and ask what can she does to help me out. She said nothing, she can only work a good deal for the service for me. Obviously I was pissed, I told her there shouldn't be any contract in the first place, giving me a good deal is not helping here. I requested to talk to a supervisor. She told me no one I can talk to as everyone will be telling me the same thing. She refused to transfer me and told me if I don't want the good deal she can just help me cancel the service. I keep on requesting to talk to a supervisor, as there's nothing she can do. She finally agreed and put me on hold for a couple seconds and hung up on me. I was even more mad.
I called again and finally talked to the "highest level" I can reach and told me they cannot do anything. This is a SCAM! Bell is basically cheating my money by tell me there is no contract before I agreed to the service and after six month telling me it's with a two years contract and I have to pay a penalty to cancel the service.

2012 Bell...where to begin. Terminated cell use of 10 years and 4 phones over the phone speaking to a buttercup of a person. As always "This conversation could be recorded for..." So I asked what would be the final bill. "Well your contract is over and we need 30 days. 1 more month from your billing date." Thanks for the final kick in the nuts Bell, ** and good riddance. "Anything else," I ask?? "No. Looks like that's it." Final bill comes with all sorts of crap and more charges, but I pay up and treat it like the rotten stench and flush the crap down. I even tell the brainwashed kids that bang on my door trying to make money selling me bundled packages and demanding to see my Rogers bills that I'm saving all my solid body waste to send to Bell and I'll never have a Bell service in my life again, sorry, good luck, here's a bottle of water...
Oh a bill shows up a few weeks later on how I owe for a cell phone $630. I call and off course "you better just pay or else" type threat. I say "Let's hear the conversation I had with buttercup and we will go from there." Pay. Pay. Pay. Calls all hours, everyday, weeks on end. I call, get higher and higher up the septic tank. "Wouldn't it just be easier to pay this?" I'm asked. WTF?? You pay it and I'll pay you back lady... I ask for transcripts of conversation I had with buttercup again like every time.
Off to collections it goes. Every day and to this day. I see the number and answer and ask if you have the transcripts and will be sending them to me?? Once the spiel starts on how will I be paying I just ask them questions for what? They hang up and call the next day. Rinse and repeat... I've gotten letters saying "1/2 OFF SPECIAL" pay today! Haha, now they call, ring once and hang up. Repeatedly. If I was at fault for any of this I would pay. I've got good grounds to file for harassment and I'll give them more rope to hang themselves first. What say you Bell??

The 3rd technician came, however again did nothing, just left. The worst part is that they just leave without saying anything. When we called to ask what's going on, the customer service representative was extremely rude. Besides being a very expensive service provider, they have the worst customer service. I have never seen such bad customer service in my life, even WIND Mobile was way better service, Fido has been great and Rogers has also been ok (Not great, but ok). Bell is the winner of worst customer service for business and home service by far. If I could give them -10 stars, they would get that. I have been with Bell from last 7 years with 2 cell phone lines. I recently got a text message to upgrade my hardware device and Bell will give me $75 credit towards my old device. I went to Bell store and show them message so I can get new device. Bell wants me to update my contract as well which I do not want. Since they have to terminate old contract per new regulation Bell customer service convince me that "only change in the new contract is extra 1GB of data plus the 30 dollars charge and I also put credit on your account for $200 towards your old device since you still have to $105 on each phone."
Here is the catch in contract it say you can't change anything after 15 days of signing the new contract no matter what... you like bell services or not. I upgrade my plan since I am with Bell for long period. I got my Bell bill after 20 days and found that still get charged for early hardware upgrade fee of $230. I called Bell and ask where is $200 credit which I suppose to get. Customer service rep. don't have the answer and transferred me to supervisor. She was really rude over the phone and changed her statements to convince me that "you already got credit." I ask to cancel my service since it's not even 30 days and guess what I have to pay $1,100 to get out of this contract now.
Bell monopoly to trap customers with their agreements... which should be change to return policy of at-least upon arriving their first bills. I called Bell customer service to complain, I had a long conversation with a supervisor named ** who lowered my monthly charge to $161. She reassured me that this price will not increase until the end of my plan in June 2015. Surprise, surprise, in April 2015 the price increased again to be $13 more per month. The absurdity in this two-year contract is that the consumer is trapped, as Bell has the "right" to increase their price, but the customer needs to pay a cancellation fee to get out of this contract. Either I pay more per month, or I pay more to leave. Either way, I as a consumer am being held captive. Shame on you Bell!

Hi I have a disability. Bell has overcharge me on all my phone bills. I paid 300, 400, 500, 600, 900, 800 bill. They have overcharge me and destroy my life and cause a lot of stress and anxiety on me but I paid off the bill on time. But I've look at over 4 million complaints about bell but here's my issue: I had a Sony z2 that last two month. I call them up and said my phone had something wrong with it that it was not charging that when it charge the charger light would turn off and on and even had it charge all night and it did not charge properly, it only charge to 40 percent.
I talk to the client represented he said the phone talk 30 min on it. He said nothing I can do about instead he call me stupid and some names that were really hurtful like "are you ** and mental" and I said "OK I want a new phone" that's why he called me all those names. He said "sorry I can't give you a new phone." Instead I said "OK I'm taking my business elsewhere," so I cancel contract and said you guy rip off artist. I ask to unlock the phone for 50 dollar and a hurtful 612 dollars so I could go to Rogers which are way better and fair than bell.
And so I took phone over, roger put on their network and was going mouth to mouth until my phone complexly died in 2 days and would not charge anymore. Roger gladly help me out instead of going mouth to mouth they put me on a contract and gave me a Galaxy s 4 for 0 dollars. Said going back to the bell complaint. I'm on a limit income and I'm on aisha and was having tough time getting a job for 7 years so I tried to set payment methods but you just could do it so I called them up and said "I don't think I should have to pay 612 on a phone that last 2 months" and they said something like "OK it will go against your credit limit" and I don't have a credit limit.
How I paid them is with prepaid bmo mastercard because I did not believe credit cards. This is not fair at all. They are harassing me and yeah I do have disabilities and I refusing to pay this cancellation fee bill and I have every right to the other thing is that there customer service is really bad. I got hung up on 37 times and call name by represent of the company. Little did they know I had a disabilities so I ask every one that has complained about bell that rally together. Be men, stand up for what's right and sue and take bell to court and put their company under water and put bell away for good. Come on people there're so many complaints about bell. You have to cancel within your billing term or you will be charged for the full month even though you are no longer there. My billing cycle was from the 14th-15th and I wanted to cancel my service as of the 20th but then advised that I would be charged for the full month! My experience with Bell has been nothing but terrible in the past two years. Unfortunately, I signed up for a 2 year contract that I have tried to break several times just because of how awful and shady their services are, but I don't want to pay the $250+ cancellation fee… Like if your service is terrible and I have caught you multiple times not being able to explain where all these "extra charges" keep popping up from on my phone bill, I should be able to cancel for free. But they're money hungry and worthless when it comes to customer support, so obviously they want to shake you down for all that you've got when you finally try and get the hell away from their terrible services.
When I went to Europe with my Bell mobile phone, I TURNED OFF ALL ROAMING DATA AND LTE, and only used it ON WIFI, everything else DISABLED, and when I came back from 2 weeks Bell was trying to charge me $360 for roaming charges. RIDICULOUS. I called them and was on the phone with them for over an hour telling them how I was never once on data roaming abroad and when I went to Bell Mobility to check a detailed version of my $360 bill, it told me that it was "unavailable at this time". In other words, Bell was charging me $360 of data but had NO RECORDS to prove to me why they were charging me this insane amount. Do they see my date of birth and assume that because I'm a student I'm like stupid and just pay the number on the screen? Nah, I'm educated, and I know a shady deal when I see one, and Bell is shady as hell. Ha, rhymes.
Anyways, I explained this all to the 'customer support' guy on the phone, and he finally agreed to take $80 off my bill when I confronted him with the fact that they can't even provide evidence of my $360 worth of usage. Ever since then, my bills go way over what I'm supposed to be charged monthly ($55). I am NEVER on 3G because I know Bell just eats up my data to charge me more; proof? I turned on my 3G for the FIRST TIME this month when I was in the city to quickly google map directions and I got a nice little text message from Bell saying "you have used gone over your monthly data of 300MB. You will be charged $15 immediately." I cannot wait to hear an explanation for this one when I call them and ask how the hell I go over my data usage of 300MB a month when I simply turn 3G on… It's bs, I'm sorry, but it is.
Bell monopolizes the market and can afford to have horrible services and sky high bills for its customers because often there are not many other alternatives. My friend is on a similar plan with Rogers and is on her 3G/LTE 24/7, calls and texts long distance all the time and is never charged more than the $60 she has ordered every month… If you're looking for a mobile plan (don't even think about Bell internet, I implore you), don't go with Bell. Do yourself a favour and BOYCOTT BELL because their services quite frankly suck. They're terrible. Did I mention they're currently under fire for selling customer data? Oops.

I presently have the Bell telephone services. One month so far. I have a minimum local telephone line. Operate a small business to do with a product which is advertised on the web and with distributors selling. I sell my products to the distributors at my cost. I do NOT make a profit on what I sell to the public. It's too important a product. I have Internet, Bell phone and minimum television. I contracted with the Bell on April 6th. All services were working by my existing suppliers.
Immediately after contracting with the Bell I lost my internet (I have 19 websites running). For the next 3 weeks I was without internet 98% of the time. So I was concerned on how I would run my business and personal life. I received dates for installation of my 3 services from Bell. The date was 2 and a half weeks later. So I did not have any phone connections because of loss of internet. I could not do business via emails because of no internet. I really did not care about the TV. But phones and internet are important to keep a business going. I had a Zoomers cell phone, cost 18.00 monthly. That was my only way to communicate. I had lost the use of my HOME telephone which had been with Bell for most of my life. ONE number that was on all my websites for people to call me. But I could not use it because I did not have a connection from Bell for 3 weeks.
I did have 2 Magic Jack phone lines that are better quality than any other VoIP service that I previously was with. But I could not use either because no internet. One is a Florida number where I have a lot of accounts. The other is a local number and I normally can use both these lines to call anywhere in North America without extra charges. But tough, these were dead. I immediately called Zoomers and contracted to install their HOME service with Canada Wide calling for $20.00 per month. No internet required. Good. Got that up and running.
During all this time I got onto the internet for 10 minutes to a half hour because out of the 4 different service men that came into my home 2 of them were smarter than the other two who did the main installation. The first one came into my home and said "I will have the internet running for you shortly". He left my home and went across the street to some box he told me about and made the connection to the internet in 10 minutes of time. Good, I thought. I can get back to work. But within one hour after he left the internet went down. I did not get the name of the man other than his first name **. He would not give me his name or number when I asked. But during that time I was able to make changes on 19 websites with my Zoomers phone number appearing rather than my main number that everyone knows.
I called the Bell several times to get my internet going. They always said I could not have it connected until 2 weeks later. But I kept calling. Finally another Bell service man came in. He also was able to get my internet going and said it will now be on permanently??? I quickly got into my hundreds of emails and other important items to update, but then in the middle of my work the internet went off again. And when I called the Bell, I got the same story. I would not have my connections for another week and a half. Too bad. In the mean time, I am frantic on how I could keep my business going. It was not easy and it effected my health.
During all this time I had different computer people come into my home to discuss my problems with them and what my solution would be. They ALL said that the problem is in the modem. The modem that Bell is putting into the homes and business restrict other phone systems being used and may be deleting other installations of the internet.
Finally I had a fifth Bell man come into my home who was HONEST and told me that it was MY BELL MODEM causing me the problems in part. So he installed ANOTHER Bell modem which at least gave me internet and now my 2 Magic Jack phones also worked. So I made changes on my 19 websites showing all the phone numbers that customers could call me on. That Bell service mans name was **, obviously smart and honest. But I still had to wait for TV , telephone, etc. Finally the Bell people came in and completed the installation. However, that's not all.
When I got my first invoice from the Bell (4 parts some of which were such fine print I could not read them and were so complicated that I did not understand them. I called the Bell office and told them I wanted the cost of my local phone service for my home telephone number to be at the minimum cost with no extras since they wanted $20.00 extra just for the call waiting, etc, etc. so the rate would be reduced they said to $21.00 for just the local home service. IT WAS CHANGED IMMEDIATELY. Then for the first time in years my telephone rang at all hours a night waking me up. What else do I need.
Sorry, they can't fix that because I don't have call waiting, etc., etc. That would be $20.00 extra. Heaven help me at this point of time. Do I now cancel the Bell telephone and go back to one of the other companies who are no different in what they have. What do I do. That is the dilemma I am in now. I had never in all my years had phone calls coming in with no one on the other end of the line in all my life before. Why now. Is it the Bell doing that so that I would contract for the higher rate?? That is what I think it is but cannot prove it. Please GOD help me. The end.

During the entire time, I called, no one was ever sent, with only one call back. I called on April 13 to report we had been without internet now for several weeks and if there was no one to come and fix it, we would have to cancel the internet by April 18th. If we did not receive service, we would be getting our internet through another company.
Now, we are not getting any support in waiving the $250 fee we are being charged for cancelling a service that never worked! At this current time, we are pondering the cancellation of all of our services - satellite and home phone unless this is rectified.

Firstly, I have canceled my services with Bell. I have given Bell Canada 30 days notice as per the agreement which was January 2015 to cancel. It's now April 16 2015 - no refund, Bell's message on their phone states 30 days waiting for refund. I have just gotten off the phone requesting my refund. The ladies there were very nice, to continue they now state it will take 4 to 6 weeks. Do the math people - Jan to April 16th, to my count is 15 weeks still no refund. If I subtract 5 weeks in January as grace equals 10 weeks MMMM my question is where is the 4-6 weeks not mention the recording stated 30 days. Also, my question is, will Bell Canada give interest on my refund? If not WHY? If I were late on my payment they sure would charge me something.
This is unacceptable business practice to say the least to have to wait even 4-6 weeks. I was a Bell Canada customer for 5 years. I will make it a point to tell anyone asking about Bell to run fast and clear, unfortunately negative feed back travels fast and far. I decided it might be better to visit the local Bell Mobility shop and discuss my needs with a salesperson. I told them I was not interested in an expensive plan, that I had my own unlocked phone and that I would use it very little, only for phone calls and texts to my family when travelling on the road.
The clerk kept trying to sell monthly plans with all the bells and whistles. I emphasized limited use when on the road. Purchased the pay as you go $100/365 day plan. Lots of frustration getting the phone to work and bombarded by Bell customer surveys and information. Next day back to the store still trying to get the phone to work. They gave me Bell's 800 number and more frustration. First day of the trip could not phone or text my family. Found out plan won't work from the US. Now everyone with Bell tells me that!! Why didn't they explain that at the store or make it apparent on their site. I've asked Bell for a transfer of my unused credit to one of my other Bell accounts. They say that can't be done. What's with the Bell "One Account " advertising. They wanted to charge us a fee for ending our monthly satellite TV service. They wanted to charge us a full month ahead which is about $150 because we did not give them enough notice. The next option was we pay them a smaller fee for "vacation" time which means that we will not be using the service for a few months. We said OK and when we move we would have the option at that time to cancel our subscription indefinitely.
We moved and within 60 days we decided to not use their service any more because we have the local TV provider which is already our telephone and cellular provider. They completely closed our account and we actually were owed over $50 in credit. I was expecting them to send a cheque in the mail, BUT, instead they sent a bill for the usual $150 per month. I called them and asked them to fix the problem and they agreed. Should be end of story but now they doubled down and said we did not cancel.
Good thing we have the dates and names of all the people we spoke with. The next month they said we owed $300, then next month (we called them each time) $450! Now I'm getting upset because they are doing the old "bait and switch" technique that they don't have a record of this ever happening (LOL). No one had the information on their screen. What a coincidence! After a while I got a call from a collection agency and I told them that Bell should be paying me for the time that I sat on their alleged "customer support line" (LOL) for literally hours trying to get this resolved! He said he would look into this and someone would get back to me. He was very nice about it.
Next month another notice in the mail saying that we would be cut off of satellite TV if we did not pay the amount owed. (LOL because we terminated them months before and they didn't even know their own story anymore). I called their support line and mentioned to them to call ME when the next agent was available, so I thought they would call ASAP, but as usual, nothing for several WEEKS. Finally I received a call and they said that the matter was COMPLETELY resolved. I asked him to send me something by email or regular mail to confirm our conversation and he said that it would be in the mail shortly. I received a bill from Bell Canada for $12.05, which means that the previous phone call was somewhat productive. Now I'll wait and see what's next.
I went to the mail the other day and I received a threatening piece of paper that warns me that they are going to take money out of my account. NCO financial services Inc. The amount is only $12.05. Along with the statement" NCO Financial Services Inc., is a member of the credit bureau". So... Here we go... again around and around! Where it stops no one knows!

I just discovered that I have been paying Bell for both the new and lost phone for over 1 year. Also just discovered that I have not been receiving invoices for the lost phone (or my phone) because they have an incorrect account name and email address recorded for this account. When I complained to Bell, they accused me of failing to cancel the lost phone when I opened the new account. I doubt it!! We switched from Rogers to Bell Mobility in 2010. Signed up for the Small business shared plan 40$ Data, 40$ Voice share per phone (2), didn't have much of an issue until March 2012 when we moved from BC down to Nevada. Before we left the country we signed up for the out of country data, voice and text MSG, added an extra 100$ per phone. Got our first bill in April 1700$- turns out they took off the out of country features after 1 week, got the bill dropped down to 400$. May bill was the same thing but by now we had AT&T phones, also got the bill dropped down.
Then came the issue, they claimed that since we added out of country service we had renewed our contract to end in 2014. I spoke with several CSR's and had the extra US calling taken off, but was still paying 160$ a month for 2 phones we weren't using but also didn't want to give up our numbers, for when we travel home. 3 more months of calling once a week, had our internet dropped with no early cancellation fee, also had the voice dropped to 20$ a month per line. I reasoned with them along the line of we don't want to lose our service but we are also not using it as they could see on their computers. Over the years we have had Telus, Rogers, Bell, while bell is crap for service, they do provide a decent service. That said, I do like Verizon much better compared to anything we could get in Canada.

Well long story short it was to be paid out from checking acct as it was before and it wasn't. They keep with credit card for cell plans and numerous little charges to the tune $1000.00. Well it ends like expected. He'd lost it. I lost a friend and I suspect my job (work for the same company) had done this before with him and another friend. Nothing happened. What is my recourse because I'm getting beat down? And guess what just got a message that bell is returning a credit card payment nsf. They are trying to charge the cancelled card.

We booked an extended vacation to the US in October 2014. I called Bell and had our satellite TV put on a 'temporary service suspension'. This cost $49 for 6 months. In December '14, January '15, and February '15, Bell billed me $34.83/month for the 'NHL Centre Ice' package. I called to question these charges and was told this package had to be cancelled separately. Because we had it in the past, it automatically renewed and we were sent a letter with the terms if we didn't want it to automatically renew. My profile with Bell states we wish to receive online billing and notifications, so I don't know why they would mail us a letter. No representative at Bell (and I spoke with 4 various people) could give me the date this letter was mailed, but said sometime in October. My initial call to suspend our service was October 3rd, and this issue was never mentioned.
Bell refuses to refund my $104.49. Over this ridiculous charge, they've lost a 10 year customer. Why should the consumer pay for their antiquated system that can't put a suspension on all programming and email notifications? No representative at Bell would confirm that it was actually possible for us to watch the NHL package on our suspended TV service at this time. We have not been in Canada for 5 months, so the TV has never been turned on.

I have four cell phones with bell. My line is on a three year contract. When I took out my plan I was told that it came with voicemail and call display along with a 10% discount. I was offered a 200 bonus minutes which expired in January. This month I got my bill and my phone line was over $100 when I normally pay $73. I called and was informed that my call display, voicemail and 10% discount was a promotion and it expired. Bell is far too dishonest. I do not know why I can't just get my bill and pay it without having to call them about something every month.
Last month they charge me $15 for upgrade which I never did. I agree to pay $73 per month for my line not $105. I am not renewing my contract on February 28 of this month. This company will give anyone a heart attack or a mental breakdown. I know I am supposed to pay Bell over $300 monthly for my four cell phones and I just want the security of knowing what my monthly bill is and pay the same money each month unless we did something that was not a part of my plan. How can Bell just start charging me for voicemail and call display which was a part of my plan?

I got bell internet, phone, and cable installed on Oct. 9, 2014. I cancelled it with my 10 day grace period on Oct. 14. I even asked the person I cancelled with to give me a confirmation number and the only thing he assured me I need was his employee id and name. I later found out that he did not cancel properly and I still got a bill. After speaking to two more reps who made some adjustments, I still got a bill for a smaller amount. This new rep today says they will add termination fees and usage charges even though I did not use the service.
I called the customer relations office and the executive office. They were also unable to help me. Their own employees don't enter all the information into the system and the customer is blamed. I've seen this kind of complaint on other sites as well. I am fuming. When will CRTC reel in Bell Canada. They are out of control and clearly have the worst customer service out of any carrier. I recommend to anyone considering bell service to not get it. As soon as there is a small issue, it will end up costing you and not bell.

Because of where I live I have absolutely no choice other than Bell for a phone line which is required to get satellite or internet through other suppliers. Basic line without any options or packages was quoted as $29 + tax. My bill normally runs above the $50 mark. When I had my phone, internet and satellite through Bell my rates just kept increasing without my knowledge or consent and often times I would see channels be eliminated from the packaged bundles I was paying for. Often times I was paying ~$250/month for home services not including a cell phone.
The bundles/packages you are forced to buy for television viewing have so many duplicates it's sickening. Even with other suppliers you get the bundles which force you to pay for 95% of the content you don't want. Just the other night there had to be 15 channels with the same movie all at the same time. Prices are absurd, service and product are terrible and, as many others have stated, the customer service is non-existent. I steer away from Bell at every opportunity. They were once a great company. Not anymore!

We are currently in Florida for 3 months. We notified Bell starting approx Nov 14, 2014. (Not sure of exact date as we have had numerous calls to them.) We have a confirmation number and the name of the person we talked to originally agreeing that our satellite would be suspended for the 3 months and Thierry the rep suspended the amount to be paid, therefore as we all agreed the TV service was on hold with no charge until we are home. Fine!
Now to deal with the phone! It was agreed in plain English that the charge per month for January through to the end of March would be $36.05 each month. Seems pretty simple and straightforward to me! But Bell each month since Nov has been e-billing us amounts like $113.38. We agreed the last phone call to complain AGAIN that we should just pay the $36.05 and the rep Cathy said, “YES THAT IS CORRECT!”
Well we just got a brand spanking new bill once AGAIN for $113.38. This company is RUINING our vacation not to mention our bank accounts. When we are home we will talk to CTV and CBC and see if they can get through these thick skulls. We are so damn fed up. We unfortunately need to keep the phone accurate for our security system. Do we need to sue these idiots or what? If we had a choice of another company for damn sure we would jump on it, but we live in the country and that is our only resource. Please HELP!!!

Became a customer of bell fibe services about 10 months ago. I was an existing bell customer at the time I purchased Fibe TV and internet. After 3 missed appointments I finally had my new service installed. Was given some promos for my troubles which was great. I was really pleased with the product. Great tv and internet. So I started telling people about it since I was the first one on my street to get it. I told them how great the product was and suggested to everyone they should get it.
As a few months go by more and more of my neighbours started getting the fibe services and really liked it!.... Now I know why! They all received wireless receivers and the best of the best modem! When I seen the equipment they were receiving compared to the out of date "Start-up" equipment I received, I was pissed off! If I had of known when I signed up for the services that this equipment was to be made available in just a short time I would have gladly waited. Do you think Bell would tell me this?? No ** way! And when I phoned to ask why I didn't receive this they told me it was not available at the time I signed up, fair enough, so can I have it now??? NOPE you have to pay a $400 upgrade charge!!! When I decided to switch to Fibe with Bell, their literature stated that external hard drives could be used as peripherals on the Home Hub 2000. I went so far as to change my computer to a MacBook Air (a small hard drive) and stored all my data on an external drive. Needless to say, the hard drive wouldn't work. I called Bell but discovered that they don't support external drives. I contacted Apple and the manufacturer of the external hard drive and with their help affirmed that both were operating properly.
After three days trying different methods I managed to get the hard drive functioning. A simple explanation that my drive has to be named the way the modem wants would have been very helpful from Bell but again, they don't support what they sell. Now that it is operating the way it is supposed to I have found that their blistering fast speeds are so slow that it takes over 5 minutes to open a document through the hub and attempting to open a music file freezes my wireless connection.
Thanks Bell. Now I have to sell my new computer and find a way to replace it. Just the way I wanted to spend my week off. Once my contract is over I am switching my home and cell services to anyone else. Have been a Bell customer for over 20 years and am absolutely disgusted with their inability to support their own products. Online forums are filled with people having the same issue.

The full details of my case appear below for anyone wishing to read them. Briefly in December 2013 I was offered and accepted a switch to Bell Fibe, with a TV, Unlimited Internet and Phone Bundle. The unlimited internet was not honored and I had several charges of $80 unlimited internet usage. I thought this was finally settled in May 2014 but we then received another $80 overuse charge. In October 2014 we had decided we had enough of the lengthy phone conversations with Bell and decided to quit and gave our 30 days’ notice. I was then contacted by retentions department with a deal that encouraged me to stay.
January 2015 we discovered that the retention deal had not been honored. Fortunately I had managed to get it in writing. To add insult to injury our monthly bill had actually increased because we were being charged for an upgraded TV package which the retention representative had offered us as a sweetener to stay. I spent over four hours on the phone on 16th Jan 2015 trying to resolve it. It was unpleasant and tedious.
From my experience I wish to offer the following suggestions. Contact the loyalty department directly on 1 877 874 2171. Be aware that the first person you deal with, in my opinion, is trained to fob you off. If you do not get satisfaction ask to speak to a supervisor or manager. You may be told this is not possible. Do not give up - persist. If you feel really strongly look into alternative providers. Contact the disconnect department and give them 30 days notice. You may then be called by retentions offering you a better deal to stay. Check that they actually implement this on your next bill.
Try to get as much in writing. This is not easy. Most people I have spoken with at Bell have told me it is not possible. With retentions I told them that my unlimited internet deal was not honored and if they did not put the deal they were offering me in writing it was bye bye Bell. I am fortunate (or unfortunate depending on how you look at it) that I have been able to spend several hours on the phone enduring the wear you down tactics. I imagine that is not so easy for people having busier lives than me.
My full case which incidentally I submitted to Bell customer complaints. Back in October or November of 2013 I noticed significant increases on our monthly bill. I called Bell and a very helpful representative informed me that it was because our internet usage was higher than usual. This made sense as I had noticed my children using it more often. I was then offered a solution that would be the "answer to my problems." It was recommended that I switch to Bell Fibe on an unlimited internet usage package. I was offered a special 12 month rate which was about $20 more than our usual bill at that time but it made sense to avoid the internet over use charges. This took effect December 2013. On the strength of it we bought a new TV and subscribed to Netflix, knowing internet use was no longer an issue.
January 2014 was as expected with an installation charge reduced by $100 from $199.95. I recall being told at the time that it was a twelve month contract but today was informed it was two years. Then it all fell apart February, March, April and May - all included an Internet over usage charge of $80 per month totaling $320. I was overseas during this period. My wife had not paid the bill as she couldn't understand why it was so high.
I called Bell, I believe in May though it may have been early June, to try to resolve the issue. I was informed I had not been set up with unlimited internet, though, I know the only reason I switched to Bell Fibe was because I was told I was getting an unlimited internet package. I was told I would be Receiving a credit of $240 as they could only go back three months (From recent telephone conversations where representatives have been economical with the truth I am skeptical of this).
So I believe I was defrauded out of $80 at this time. I also realize that the HST I paid on the overuse was also not refunded. So I had a fairly bitter taste in my mouth. I was also told at this time I could now go to unlimited for an extra $10 per month. I remember saying something to the effect “Why would I want to pay an extra $10 per month for something that had already been agreed upon in December 2013.”
At this time I also looked into reducing the bill by taking the TV from Select to basic - a saving of $15 per month, but looking through the past bills I now see that Bell increased the internet charge by $15. So not sure if this was to do with change in bundle or they had applied $10 internet charge but that doesn't explain the $5 difference. Anyway we went away for the summer. On return discover that we had another overuse charge of $80. By this time it was September. I'd called Bell representatives but felt like I was banging my head against a brick wall and decided to look into other alternatives.
In October 2014 I gave Bell 30 days notice of leaving. I was told there would be a penalty because I was leaving before the 12 month contact was up - I was okay with that. I then got emails to the effect "Are you sure you want to leave?" I then got a cold call from retentions department (I have now learned this is an outsourced group of super salesperson). Basically I was offered a deal to stay - they would credit me the June $80 over use charge. Ongoing the charges were to be: TV $47.95 (Upgraded back to Select package), $55.95 for Internet (with increased speed), $32.95 for phone including international plan.
January 2015, my wife informed me the bills are over the expected approx $150 a month taxes included. I called a representative at the loyalty department. I was getting nowhere with her and asked to talk to a supervisor or manager - this was 10 am Wednesday 7th. I was told none were available and one would call me. I received a call at 9pm - a really helpful woman who looked at the account and told me that it looked as though only the phone reduction in cost had been applied. She must have run a diagnostic test and told me our internet speed had not been increased and it didn't look like it was even possible that it could be with our present equipment. She suggested sending a technician.
I said at this point I wasn't sure if I wanted to remain with Bell and we decided to leave it 24 hours for me to decide. I assumed she would call back the following night. On Sunday 10th a technician arrived. We were not expecting him. He then installed a new Modem with two line input. Friday 16th my wife received a reminder that our bill was overdue. There had been no credit on our overpaid charges so I decided to call Bell loyalty department again.
Initially I was told I was not on the account. My wife had me added she spelled out my name and gave my date of birth (I've been added on previous occasions). I got nowhere with the first rep and asked for a supervisor. I was passed to a manager who listen to my case and looked at the account and said the absolute most I would be offered was $54 in refund. I replied that I thought it would be higher than that. We agreed to agree to disagree and he said a note would be made on the account to that effect.
I then went online to check the bills. In October 2014 TV $55.95, Internet $61.95, Phone $36.95 (this was my typical bill) - bearing in mind Retention department offered TV $47.95, Internet $55.95, Phone $32.95. Now here comes the kicker. Nov $76.27, $61.95 and $37.00. Dec $70.95, $61.95, $36.95. I calculated a difference of $74 over the retention offer. (I know only $20 above the managers $54 maximum but there was a principle at stake here.)
Decided to call Bell again. Spoke with a representative who said I was not on the account! Great, I explained I'd been added about an hour previously and had hung up from speaking with a manager only 10 minutes previously and could I be reconnected with him. I was told this was not possible as there were no supervisors or managers in the department I was calling. I said that was strange as it was the same department I'd contacted earlier. Eventually I was put through to his supervisor. She was great. She called my wife to have me added to the account yet again. (I'd been on the phone 40 minutes at this stage.) She then passed me back to the first rep who would deal with my issue.
The rep was adamant I'd received all I was going to get. The difference arose over the TV. He said because I was on Select it was an extra charge. I tried to get him to understand I hadn't requested Select - it was a sweetener put forward by retentions. I'd also been told on 7th Jan that it hadn't been applied and I'd noticed no improvement to the channels. Who knows? We hardly watch TV. I said that we were going round in circles and to put me back on with the supervisor. He told me she had left for the day. I didn't believe this but didn't say so I just asked to be connected with another supervisor (remember he had told me previously that there were no supervisors or managers in that department). He then said "Right, I'll give you the $20." I asked that a note be made on the account that it was a matter of principle.
I feel over the past 13 months Bell have failed to implement two agreements. The first with our unlimited Internet in 2013 and the last with this retention fiasco. We have incurred late payment charges as my wife has held off paying because she can't understand why the bills are higher than the agreed price. Prior to that we had about fifteen years of just paying the Bill. Bell now has yet another dissatisfied customer to add to the many one reads on the internet.

Since the first bill I received when signing up with Bell, there were charges that I had been told over the phone wouldn't be there. I, as a customer thought that when you carry out a conversation with a company over the phone and they offer you a deal and you accept, that that is the verbal contract and that's what you're agreeing on. Yet since then I have had nothing but wrongful charges, excuses whenever I speak to customer service and nobody wants to take responsibility. As a consumer I rate this company as having a lack of properly trained employees, as I was told to do something that apparently was not supposed to be the case and am paying the repercussions for it. Secondly if they want to keep their customers I suggest they don't just say "well there's nothing I can do for you" when someone says they want to cancel their subscription with them. All in all very angry customer, would not recommend them to a single person.

I had a cell phone plan with Bell Mobility that I cancelled months ago. I got the final bill of $116 and change. I paid the bill at the bank. I then was refunded the $116 and change from Bell. I don't know why, but the Bell rep said it was paid to the wrong account. I had taken the bill to the bank, as I usually do, they took my money, and I figured that was that! WRONG! Then, I am getting harassed by Bell to pay the outstanding balance. So we make arrangements to repay the $116 and change.
Now months later, I get a call from Bell that there is an outstanding bill of over $500. They say it's cancellation fees. I had the phone for over 5 years. They said I had just renewed the plan (which I hadn't) and the contract was set to end in 2017. Looking at the vast amount of similar complaints, I believe this it what Bell does to keep you on the hook and try and milk as much cash as they can out of you. Bell Mobility Thunder Bay: My experience with them was as follows. 911 Service failed. Lots of spam and adv. robot calls. The claimed service area was not covered. Calls failed all over the city. Internet timed out more often than not, at times my phone was little more than a brick. Bell's solution was buy a newer phone from them little more than a year and a half after purchasing my iPhone 4S from them for $100 in a "free phone" deal. Local offices only sell, their staff know little and do not offer support. Phone Support people and billing are rude, unhelpful, harass and threaten without option to discuss, question, or escalate billing disputes or complaints.
Last year, one of them told me, "I've listened to you, now you will listen to me, you'll pay (it), or we'll cut you off." I had requested a breakdown of additional charges be sent a number of times. I'd spent hours on the phone and in their local office. I never did find out what those charges were. They just kept sending a pay this amount total. There were always of extra charges every month. Bell just sent me a total to be paid in three separate Envelopes. If I want to ask what the amounts are for I could call them, but I am happy to say that I have no phone at all. They gave me the option of installing their app., or using their site, but their script requires a phone and account number which they will contact. But I have cancelled both my service contract and my service so that won't work. The billing rep. didn't have a breakdown and directed me to the web site or app., their local office was useless.
When voicemail options were cancelled: it took hours to accomplish. Bell immediately left a voicemail that couldn't be cleared. They gave me temporary access to delete them. It took hours. Bell voicemails were asking how well they did cancelling the stuck voicemail I couldn't clear again. I gave up. My "free" phones er me back $100 or more dollars and I was at first quoted up to $800 to buy out of my contract after just over a year and a half. To unlock my phone to use another carrier would cost an additional $50-100 dollars if I cared to do so. Support took hours. Billing Support wouldn't verify or discuss my denial of permission to record me. Billing was often incorrect or out of sequence. Bell sent no breakdown of charges even though I repeatedly requested it for two years. They just demanded That I pay amounts without explanation.
They've now sent final notices without prior billing and before prior billing respectively as follows: Current bill for me: $240 buy out? 50 last month? $700+ TV equip (I had Bell satellite TV). It cut out regularly for hours. We moved. They give no option but to mail them their equipment. The local office won't return it. When I call they keep saying they'll send a box. They don't. I've also emailed them without reply a number of times. Now they've sent a bill for the equipment. The amounts above are actual billed amounts marked "Final Notice" even though no prior notices were received.
Bell's right hand doesn't know what its left is doing. I feel that they ensnare and financially rape their customers, their coverage is often overstated (or worse), their cells are overestimated, their people are rude and unhelpful, their offices are all but unavailable unless you have an active Bell account and service. Their billing is overstated (or worse), web servers time out a lot, and 911 service is not reliable (I couldn't call in a fire in the middle of the city until I drove a number of blocks to find service). I'm waiting for this to go to collection then seeing a lawyer. Bell Mobility is a Nightmare!

I was overseas and unable to spend the standard 2 hours on hold with firstly Emily the Bell Robot then various customer service reps. who might as well be robots!! So I emailed my bank and asked them to put a stop payment on any further withdrawals from Bell which they did. On returning from Europe I was faced with a bill from a collection agency for $200 and some dollars for equipment that I had not returned to them, despite being told in May that there was no equipment to be returned when I cancelled the service. I then phoned Bell and tried to get someone to tell me what the $97.00 charge referred to in July. Was told it had to do with TV service. After being on the phone for some 8 hours with various reps and managers I was put in contact with Bell in Montreal.
To cut a long story short. I have been billed thousands of dollars for a dial-up service that was cancelled in 2008!! In short, does this company ever cross reference their billing procedures. I reported a line problem on Dec 18th.2014. We could hear clearly other conversations. It was scheduled for repair on Dec 19. Now on Jan 3rd, 2015 the problem has escalated to a deadline and I have discovered security breeches during the 12 or 13 hours I have been talking to different representatives. And they try to shift the responsibility and suggest many ways to avoid responsibility - e.g. that I must have called to make the incorrect changes to the account or my husband - etc etc. NO - not us.
I want to hear the recording of that call! And being alarmed I scrutinized my bills and found false long distance charges - only for small amounts; however, the point is that their system has major flaws and the reps cannot or will not deal with it. After 10 times of trying asking and being assured that the incorrect address had been fixed, on today's rescheduling of the repair, I discover that the faulty home address is still in the system that was when Bell called to once again to delay repairs - now starting the 3rd week!
To summarize - terrible incompetent system. Bell trains and endorses the behavior of their representatives and the buck stops with the company. Alarming lack of security. Not only no repair, made it worse during since Dec 18th. My husband is 72 years old and currently we have no 911 service for an emergency. No one gave me an order number so I cannot write it below.

For a company as big as Bell I'm surprised they have such bad reviews. You would think they would be going out of their way to satisfy "the customer". My first complaint is as simple as you lose scenario in any Canadian court. Bell offered me a Black Friday plan for my phone and a data plan... I accepted and was going to save around $75 dollars a month between my two phones and data plan I had now. The lady left me on the phone for approximately 20 minutes as she went to get it hooked up. When she returned, she informed me she couldn't give me that plan, after I already accepted. When they sent their survey I wrote them with my concerns.... Still waiting for the last two questions. What big corps get away with?! They don't even understand the basic laws of a contract!!! Offer and Acceptance!

In Feb of 2013 I transferred a phone number from my mother’s cancelled cell phone to one of my cell phones as she was dying of cancer and we did not know how long she would be around, so she cancelled her home phone and cell and I transferred her cell phone number to one of my existing cell phones. No contracts on any phones.
In May of 2013 my mother passed away so I cancelled the cell phone I have previously set up for her use. Once again NO CONTRACTS as I had just transferred a number onto one of my existing cell phones. Bell continued to bill me for the phone number I had cancelled in May 2013 (27.00 per month). I would call requesting they stop charging me but would be transferred all over. They continued to charge me into 2014 despite my constant phone calls (of which they conveniently have no record of).
In March of 2014 they requested a copy of the death certificate for my mother (although the phone I cancelled was in my name not my mother’s) so I finally after almost a year sent it to them, this being the first time they had asked me for that. I have dealt with bell for over 15 years and now after a year of dealing with a charge of 27.00 a month for a line I called to disconnect, I now received a disconnection notice 1 week before Christmas for the amount of 351.28. I called and was once again transferred all over the place, and in the end was told they cancelled the line once they received the death certificate in April 2014 (no one had ever requested one before or I would have sent it when I called in May of 2013 and I still don't know why they need one as the phone was not in my mother’s name but mine and I AM NOT DEAD.)
They refuse to credit me all the charges they have been billing me for over the past year even though they have it on file the date I originally called to cancel the line back in May of 2013. Although they did credit me the 400.00 for the cancellation that I was not even aware they had charged me, I still don't understand why I would be charged a cancellation fee anyways since there was NO contract to cancel. I need someone to help me with this. I am sick of dealing with this company and I am now going to change after 15 years of nothing but headaches from BELL. It amazes me that a company can get away with doing this to people!!

I have been an outstanding customer of Bell well over 28 years. First with my land line, for years I was paying to have it unpublished, then Bell without any of my authorization published the phone number! Let it go, pick your battles right? Now I have a satellite in home, then I find that I have been subscribing to French channels on my subscription list, without my consent. So how many other changes have been made to my account without my authorization.
Then I started getting calls about a bill that I had not even received. I am at the end of my rope with Bell Canada, I now owe 116.00 and you know what, they are going to wait for this payment!!! I am so upset I have contacted Rogers and Shaw for satellite installation. Oh yes Bell wanted my credit card number, as if I would give them access to this information. I could just see the charges happening without my knowledge and/or authorization.

Unfortunately, they make me realize the cancellation was entered for the wrong date. December 30th. (1 month later from my initial request) Now, since chat support is not allowed to fix cancellations, I have been requested to call bell support and fix my cancellation. I know it will be a 1 hour call. I have had the same bad experience trying to fix overbilling that I received on the past 6 months. It always take me around 1 hour to fix THEIR MISTAKE.

I have had nothing but bad experiences with this company. I have been in a contract for one of two years and I have never had an easy time speaking with anyone regarding my bell mobility cell phone bill. One of the biggest complaints that I have is the payment methods. First of all you cannot make a cash payment for your bell account anywhere. It doesn't make sense too since bell mobility is the only company that does not have this method of paso. The other day I have to make a payment because I am behind and fair enough I understand that they have to follow rules so I go to make a credit card payment to a Visa debit which means I actually have the money in my account but they refused to accept payment Visa Debit since it is money I actually have. They told me that I have to pay with a regular credit card which means actually do not have that money, hmmm how does that work? Why do they not accept it?
None of their reasoning makes even the slightest amount of sense to me! So they're telling us that if you have no money but you have a credit card which is technically money that do not have but will accept payment but if I actually have the money in my bank account this method of payment is not recognized as valid!!!???? Wtf???? This is only one of a few things that frustrates me but it really is a big issue for me!

DISRESPECT. Every several months, I receive a promotional letter in the mail from Bell. This practice has been occurring for many years. The offerings usually revolve around the bundling of services and are described as "amazing... more for less... unbeatable prices... etc". The provocation is that Bell attempts to muffle all the details essential to an informed decision, i.e. terms, conditions dates, pricing, into one compressed paragraph in a type size that is next to impossible to read or understand. This invaluable consumer information is consistently relegated to the back bottom one inch of an otherwise blank side of the promotional piece. It can only be construed that Bell is ill at ease about the value of its offerings and in its rush for profitability, is willing to forgo basic customer courtesy and common social values. A clear sign of disrespect. I have on several occasions contacted Bell to request that they e-mail me the terms and conditions of the offer so that I can make an informed decision. They refuse to do so.

I signed up with a special promotion with Bell Fibe TV, Fibe Internet, and Home phone that I received in the mail. I was quoted a specific price and even received a confirmation email of the Grand Total price I was expected to pay. I get the service installed and then receive my first Bell bill with a price greater than what I agreed to (even though I have email confirmation of the price).
I call Bell and they tell me that the price has changed and I will not get the Bell TV Bundle discount (a discount of $8 for the Bell TV) because of the promotion I am receiving (TV programming discount for 12 months). But the worst part is that Bell TV Bundle discount was included in the email confirmation quote that they sent me when I signed up, and nothing was changed at all with the order from when I signed up! I told them that's not the price and promotion I agreed to and I even have the price I agreed to in an email confirmation and I was promised that price for 1 year. They simply tell me that their prices and promotions are subject to change any time and that I just have to accept the new price and they will do nothing further to rectify the price.
Sounds like a cold hard MAFIA business Bell is running in which they change the prices and promotions whenever they feel like it (even though I was promised the promotional price for 1 year). I definitely want to switch back to Videotron after being treated so badly by Bell's customer service representatives. They don't have any empathy at all for their customers, hiding behind their misquoted policies that are not even on their agreement/confirmation emails. AVOID Bell at all costs, they do not have any honor at all with the price they quote you, even if you have that quote in writing!

We decided to switch from Xplornet to Bell for Internet services. Bell does not have service in our area so we were told the Turbo Hub was a fast and competitive option. Not only was it not cheaper, our first bill is nearly 4 times that of Xplornet. We were not told that it operates like a cell phone and that if you leave your computer on (and perhaps the device) that you will use up data like crazy. Two weeks after activating the Turbo Hub the Internet shut down and when we called we were told this is to prevent people from going over their data limit. But the technical support person said we were not close to our limit and it had been an error. In fact we were already past our limit. We have a contract (in order to get the $99 promotional fee on the device) but we can't even use the Internet lightly. We don't download music or videos. What a terrible rip off.

I was working 14 hr. 7 days a week and did not get it, sent out until 5 or 6 days after the warranty was over. Bell said I would have to pay for the repairs which was about 350 bucks. I needed a phone asap as I was going to B.C. for a wedding, so I talked to a Bell supervisor and he told me that if I purchased a new phone he would not make it a 3 year plan as I had the old phone for a year. So I got it now and am stuck for a 3 year plan again. This conversation was recorded at the time. The new law was in the works at that time but was not in force. I keep telling Bell to bring up that conversation that I had, but they will not. I give them $120 for TV, $95 for the turbo hub and $70 bucks for the cell phone. I had a business account with Bell for almost 3 years. I had two phones on one phone number and an internet account. During this time I did not have any issues with them. I cancelled my service with them in March because I was moving from the building and moving my office to my home office. I cancelled both my internet and business line. I have a different provider at my home with a number of bundled services so it was more efficient and cost effective for me to go with them rather than with Bell. I had my business line transferred by the other provider. Bell sent me my final bill with regard to the internet within the billing date. I never did receive a final bill from my business line.
A couple of months later I started to receive collection calls about a phone number associated with my business line which I had no knowledge of and was cancelled in March. During discussions I realized that this is what is called a roll over line. Bell's back office solution to having two phones on one phone number. Bell never cancelled this line, never sent me a bill for this line or the main line. Bell claimed that they would initiate an investigation and gave me an ireq number to refer to. I never heard from them again until they put me into collections. I was then harassed by a company out of Montreal who called everyday with threats and shouting at me. The amount of money they were harassing me for was not large - approximately $200.00 I feel that this was Bell's error. They treated me very badly. I would like this money back purely on principle. Back in 2011 a clerk at Future Shop in Kamloops forgot to put $200 as my deposit on my phone/contract receipt. He only put $100 on it. I do normal check everything carefully but our son was just hospitalized and it was the last day to return a dead phone before the 30 days and get into a new one and we're distracted and trying to get it done so we could get back to the hospital. After 6 months I heard nothing. I tried to text Bell but the texts would not go through. I went online and got numbers from their website. I spent 2 weeks calling at different times of the day only to have it ring 4 times and then the line go dead.
So I went to Facebook and called them on this there. I then got a number that worked from someone at FB only to be told there was no record at all of any deposit being paid ever. I dug out my paperwork to find only $100 on the receipt. Bell refused to give back the other $100. In the beginning they told me I HAD to pay $200 because I did not have a credit card. This was listed on Bell's website as their policy. They would not answer me as to how I even got the phone if I supposedly only paid 100! Ignored me every time I asked that question. The clerk at Future Shop did not remember me after 6 months so they would not return the money either.
I have not stepped inside a Future Shop since and I never will. My contract is almost up with Bell and I will NEVER give them my business again. They just said over and over that since there is no record of the other $100 so they do not have to give it to me even though it was their policy to charge 200 to get into a phone. They said "200 or a CC is the ONLY way I could get a phone so I pay 200 and pay all my bills in full on time and after 6 months they act like I made up that policy or something?!" I want to warn others that they are a giant ripoff company. No morals at all.
Also as a side note the clerk at Future Shop was clearly high or had had no sleep. He could not seem to pay attention and his eyes were unbelievably red. So he may have made the mistake. Either way one or both of these companies completely turned their back on a regular customer and treated me like I was a liar. So I am done with both forever. Too bad because later that year I was shopping for a new PC and cable/internet/TV provider. Neither place got my business. The 100 they took from me pales in comparison to the thousands they could have made off me. Their loss IMO.

I was kind enough to get a phone in my name for my bf and roommate. All was well for the 3 years of the contract. Things happened and she decided to move out. So, I told her to put the phone in her name and this is where the nightmare begins...She contacted Bell, they wouldn't allow her to without my permission. So I had to call Bell and advise them that she will be putting it in her name. No problem, so I thought. Well she moves. Bill was never transferred to her. I continued to receive bills. I cancelled the phone immediately. Bell continues to bill me the monthly rate after I had cancelled AND added a $400 cancellation fee. WTF?? The contract was well over the 3 years and I should be able to cancel at anytime right? Well, to my shock and amazement, the contract and phone had been renewed for an additional 3 years. WTF? So, after many attempts to speak to someone knowledgeable at Bell I finally got to the bottom of things. Apparently someone renewed the contract and signed my name at The Source. And this was allowed without showing identification!
Well I just about lost my mind! The Source was kind enough to forward me a copy of the signed contract. Yup, definitely not my signature. This is where the fun begins, after about 10 phone calls, 50 transfers, 20 refusals to let me speak to management I get a Bell rep that tells me okay, go file a police report and call back with the report number and we will remove the cancellation charges and he also removed the overages they had charged. Sweet. Easy enough. So, I go spend the afternoon in line and filling out paperwork and get my report. Rush back to call Bell to rectify this. Boy was I a fool. No one seems to know anything about it and they do not do that kind of credits. WHAO!! Here we go again, transfer after transfer, hold after hold, I have now lost my patience. I had enough! So I file a complaint to the BBB. To my amazement, a reply to call a 1-800 number!! So I do, several times! To be left on hold for 10+ min each call. Enough! I respond again to BBB explaining the situation again, and well I get the call the 1-800! So, now that the collections agency is now on me for this because they forwarded my personal info from the BBB complaint to them, I am going to talk to someone! I wait!
Finally get a hold of someone only to regurgitate my story once again, only to be RUDELY interrupted every time. I'm losing my temper at this point! She keeps cutting me off and telling me to lower my voice. I told her to stop interrupting me and let me finish. So, she proceeds to tell me she has no record of the rep stating he will credit me back the fees and will have to do an investigation because I knew the person! EXCUSE ME??? I don't think so. I told her that she can go back to the day the rep credited me back the overages, and that will be on record of which employee it was and that is the same person that had made these arrangements, and regardless if I knew the person or not they allowed someone to sign my name and renew the contract!!! She admitted to having a copy of the contract. She continued to argue with me, I hung up and contacted the BBB once again, not only against Bell but their representatives at The Source holding them liable for their negligent policies and employees. I REFUSE to be responsible for their actions and greed! This is not over!

From call center agents who lied, hung up on me the first time, after telling me they give my social insurance number to someone else to use, my name starts with a D... They gave it to an Ana? I think the agent had blurted before, lying and saying they weren't sure, and I would need to verify myself at a store, not only to you. Tell me Bell, you committed I.D. fraud without my knowledge but I still need to verify myself. Fine I do that, because calling head office is useless and I just kept on getting a secretary with too much pep but not enough common sense to do much, according to her..
Having my sim number stolen by Bell is fine. So no call back from the president or anyone of value. I did how ever call back to follow up, and had the rudest customer complaint resolution service in my life. She told me it was my fault and then hung up on me, after refusing to transfer me.. Joy. Say what you want but they have prompt, reliable, on time service, and they've never given my ID to someone else.
So I actually think that will be my next option, as Bell, after me giving them a second chance 2 weeks ago, sent the wrong technician at the wrong time who set up a phone line he had no clue how to set up. I asked for internet.. Dude had no modem. All Bell Canada qualified people of course. So person wrote down they completed the order..another lie. Place of lies, that place. So I cancel it because there was nothing hooked up. Now speed pass to last night, 5 to 9 is the window they give me, make me and my roommate stay home, wait, no one shows up, calls, makes an effort. It's Saturday, at least have the common courtesy to show up or call or pie.
I call them this morning. Automated message tells me they are coming on Monday to complete it from 8-12. I work from 8 to 5... See the issue there... Bell you thieves, liars, users, and money hungry vultures, if your boss won't do anything, understand that small businesses like Acanac are going to strain you badly one of these days. They offer something you have never ever ever had.. Customer satisfaction, not since my Mom had your black Bell home phone calls in the 90s, when you were more trustworthy.. She has to pay her rent, utilities, clothing and food from these payments and barely makes ends meet. She has no assets. I personally have forgotten that such high rate even exists. I am, thanks God, not Bell customer and I personally pay 4 cents a minute calling to Russia from my Mobilicity cell!!!

Customer service offered a $20 discount on the new service as it had been used. I believe they have cancelled the new account as I received a letter requesting the modem return. Paying on an unused service is our fault. What is annoying is that Bell could happily bill us for 10 years on an account with no usage. Customer service leaves something to be desired.

After 6 years with Rogers (Internet, TV, home phone), I elected to try out another provider. I was somewhat exhausted with Rogers - especially from a pricing perspective. I met a young fellow outside a strip plaza from Bell, and what he was offering seemed reasonable. All I wanted was internet service and the no-contract, monthly fee he was offering was very competitive and I went ahead and signed up, with service commencing Aug 25 (day after my Rogers service was cancelled). The installation took place and all was good with the speed, connectivity, etc. I had no phone service since cancelling with Rogers, and decided to inquire about basic home phone service from Bell. I called the same young fellow, and I signed up with phone service as well. This is where my troubles started.
The fellow took my details - including a B1# (which I will forever hate), and I was transferred to a person to confirm my order. I agreed, and after a missed call, I was left a message that the install would happen on Sept 19. I get a call from my wife on the morning of Sept 16 advising there was no connectivity to the internet. We dialed Bell that same afternoon and spoke with an agent in their technical issues dept that could not initially pull up a file with the notorious B1#. After I offered my account number (what a wonderful idea), the rep pulled up the file and started referencing my phone order. I confirmed that I did place an order for a phone, but the issue was with the connectivity of my internet. After having been placed on hold repeatedly for unreal amounts of time (no "May I place you on hold" rather "I'm going to place you on hold, Thanks") I ended hanging up.
I call back in and go through the whole song and dance again eventually asking to speak to a supervisor. The supervisor, is unable to pull up a file with the notorious B1# and eventually pulls it up with the postal code and again, is unable to address the issue with my internet connectivity. He mentions he would review and call me back in 45 minutes, and never does.
I call back in (blood pressure rising), and speak to another agent (who seems a little bit more knowledgeable) and walks me through some troubleshooting activities, but then says he has never seen something like this and mentions something about their two internal systems not talking to one another?? I advises he will escalate to their tier 2 technical escalations unit but as they were busy, mentioned someone would call me back. No call (surprise, surprise).
Next day is a work from home day. I had a series of meetings that I was hosting via WebEx - and no internet connectivity. Livid right about now, I call back in to Bell, provide the notorious B1# and the agent pulls up the file right away. I finally get a logical answer around the root cause of my connectivity which has something to do with the current set up which never had a phone line (something about dry loop), and because I added home phone, it the internet service would be disconnected until the activation of the phone on the 19th?! 4-5 days without service because I gave more business to Bell?!! What?!!!! Requiring some form of Blood Pressure control at this time, I asked for connectivity restored immediately to which the agent advised nothing could be done and I would have to wait.
After scampering to figure out to do with my work commitments, I call in the next day trying to understand how I could escalate and provide feedback around Bell products and services. Again, walk through the same song and dance with a Manager (oh yeah, could not pull up my file again with the beloved B1#). Getting nowhere with the Manager regarding addressing my concern around the service disruption, he mentioned that I speak to billing to get some form of compensation for the outage (which I had already mentioned on the call). Put on hold again, he comes back and advises that I would have to wait until the phone service is set up, and then call billing. Wonderful.
After 6 years of receiving fairly decent service (and essentially no service interruption), I move on to Bell who within the first month, provided low grade customer service, inability to diagnose/troubleshoot an issue, and clearly articulate fairly material internal process/procedures that would be impactful to their customers. I should be cancelling my service (thank goodness not contract), but for the lack of alternative and sheer pride (not going back to Rogers with my tail between the legs), I have to ride this out for at least the next while.
Bell - If someone gives you more business it's a good thing. Why would you impact existing service then? It should be a seamless process, with no customer impact. Think it's prudent you sort out your internal processes.
