    I have paid $25 a month for the past 2 years for the household electronics protection plan. I filed a claim today which was denied because I did not report the issue within 6 months. This requirement serves no purpose other than to allow for claims denial. Proceed with this company as you would a common thief.

    I strongly recommend getting Asurion Insurance for all electronics products that you buy, you never know when something is going to fail and this insurance is always reliable and easy to file claims. I bought my vacuum approx. around 6 months ago, it was working amazing till one day it just started smelling like something burnt and suddenly it stopped working, so I went to Asurion Insurance through Amazon app and started to follow instructions filling up a claim, it was so easy, you only fill up a couple questions and they give you back a refund for the full price In less than 5 minutes.

    Asurion is a total scam, their claim process is horrible and outdated, they will deny you for any mistake or mistype on your form, will email you once then deny and say they could not reach you, even though you got 1 email from them. And if you don't respond right away they automatically will deny, and then when you contact them about it they tell you something totally different on why they denied you in the 1st place. Please do not waste money on their protection plans.

    I am extremely disappointed with Asurion. They have been absolutely no help in getting our phone repaired or replaced. Every time I contact them, the call either gets disconnected or I’m told a replacement phone is on the way—yet we never receive anything. The tracking information is useless and never updates, and when I ask for answers, they act like there’s nothing they can do. It’s incredibly frustrating, especially because AT&T hypes up this insurance as if it’s reliable. My experience has been the complete opposite. I’ve wasted time, energy, and patience trying to get a simple issue resolved. I would not recommend Asurion to anyone.

    The Asurion process is very organized but the software was challenging....(we're in our 70's). Female agent worked us through it and we finally finished but the photo downloading was quite time-consuming.     This repair process was amazing. I started the repair process a couple of months ago, the company sent me the box I needed to ship back the laptop to them right away. Unfortunately, I got super busy and totally forgot about sending that laptop back to them until just recently, a couple of months later. They received the package, the label that had sent was still good, and started the repair right away. They had determined that it was beyond repair, and promptly sent me a refund for my purchase very quickly. I was able to use that refund to get a replacement! The process was super great, the interface to log the problem was super!

    Also, I do not have a printer at the home, and there was a form that needed to be filled out. The company was forward thinking, and sent the form along with the box needed to ship the laptop back (please don't stop sending that form with the return shipping materials). That was a great touch! I currently use the monthly repair insurance product available from Amazon's website. This has been extremely handy and flexible. I will never stop using it!

    Wish I could give no stars. Absolutely terrible service. Had an appointment with them, didn't show up, apparently was a no call, no show. Yet no one got in contact with me to let me know. Then when I call, tells me I have to wait 4 days for another appointment cause no one has the parts near me. Or I pay 100 dollars for a replacement because of their mistakes. Absolutely unprofessional. Wouldn't recommend, and after all that still tried to sell us more insurance

    The review process was pretty easy. I submitted the review online but did need a little phone assistance as the webpage didn't indicate that I needed to submit my ID and a selfie--probably due to user error. The customer service representative on the phone was very helpful with this. Then I selected my replacement phone and it came the next day! The phone was an upgrade over the lost phone. Prior to speaking with the rep, I had chosen a phone in the online process only to receive an email that the phone was backordered.     UPDATED REVIEW ON 11/4/2025: Nothing improved. 3 days later and they deny the claim. They don't like the digital signature. Even though the form says the accept digital signatures, they seem to not like Adobes digital signature. Have start the process over again. I hope there is a special place in the fiery afterlife reserved for these people.

    ORIGINAL REVIEW: I've been forced to used Asurion several times in the past because that is the only warranty repair service tied to the product. Each time they make the claim process much more difficult to get you to give up on the claim. You file online for them to tell you to call a number that then tells you to file online. Your initial call is always the wrong department, and they disconnect you at least 3 times. There are always issues with hearing them, or some technical problem communicating with them. Once you reach someone (usually 2-3 hours later) they are polite and will create your claim, then ask you to submit a claim form from an email they send you. More delay tactics because they can easily ask you that information on the call, which they do anyway.

    When you submit your claim they now want proof of purchase, even though you submitted proof of purchase when you registered the product, and if you have another claim you still have to submit proof of purchase each time. This is so they can make the process more difficult and you give up on the claim, or they find a reason to not approve of the claim.

    When you go to upload all of the documents the upload process for some reason doesn't work and spins and spins. It doesn't matter what computer you use or how many times you try. You call them back and they give you an email address you can send it to or it starts working when they connect to you on the phone. They receive the duplicate information on the forms and look for any reason to say no. If they approve, you have to ship them your device and expect to get it erased. This process will take 2-4 weeks at a minimum. This exact process I've emails has happened EVERY time (3-4 claims) I've submitted a claim. Asurion and all warranty claims need to be regulated and forced to follow a standard practice that protects the consumer.

    I have owned home electronics since the fanciest you could get was a phone with push buttons instead of a rotary dial. I was among the first on my street with a cordless phone, a microwave, mobile phone (heavy, awkward, briefcase-sized "portable" phone, anyone?). So believe me when I say that, over the last 4 decades, I have seen a lot of ups and downs with Asurion Insurance. At first, they really didn't cover very much, considering what they charged. Then, the rates got more reasonable and what they covered expanded drastically.

    Then, the price dropped to almost nothing but also didnt cover much of anything...It finally seemed to really even out in the last 10 years or so, so when AT&T promoted the home tech plan for 25 a month, I thought, well, I'll try it. Heck, the first time I ever have to use it will probably pay for itself! Of course, I thought this at the same 4ime I thought, "yeah, they probably won't cover much of anything but we'll see."

    So in May, I reluctantly signed up with no hopes held, convinced it was a waste of money. I promptly forgot I even signed up for the coverage! Lol! But, unfortunately, my TV radishes over the weekend and I started grumbling about not being able to afford to fix it. That's when my friend Remi told me about my insurance. Lo and behold, I filed my claim and my replacement device is on the way! I did have to pay a one-time service fee, but for a replacement? Very nominal fee, indeed.     I feel like Asurion is a scam at best, borderline fraud at worst. Their plan, and claim, stated that they will replace my tablet with a broken screen. The service cost an additional $100 + taxes to start. Upon receipt of the device, they determined that they do not have a replacement available and so offered a "reimbursement" of $238. I cannot replace the tablet for $238. The current replacement price of the device is $700. I understand the concept of depreciation, but as an insurance product that promises a physical replacement or repair, this is not a replacement price. I declined the "reimbursement" and had them refund the original claim fee and send me the tablet back. I am still waiting for this to process, or to even see the confirmation that this return is happening.

    Last week, I had a similar experience. I had Asurion come out to install a biometric lock that they claimed to support. The technician worked on it for 2 hours and was unable to get the device working. Instead, they reinstalled the old lock. The following day I went out to do it myself, and the entire process took less than 10 minutes to install. In both cases, hours of my time was wasted. I am extremely dissatisfied, and will be cancelling the program and also the Verizon account that enabled the home protection plan as a result.

    This is an absolute horrible company. Scheduled to have my phone screen repaired between 5-7. Technician call’s at 2:40 asking to come now. I said I can not so that time. I scheduled 5-7 due to my work schedule. The technician was not happy about waiting. 2:40 was the last time i was contacted by them. Called at 6:50 pm to see where he was. They said he closed out of the ticket and now I have to reschedule. I left work early thinking he was coming still. Stressed to Asurion I use my phone for work and I needed it fixed. They could care less. Supposedly got the CEO on the phone and she refused to help in any way. Only offered to reschedule and kept repeating the standard dialog they are told to read.

    I asked to just have a phone waiting for me at ATT and I'll pick it up since you won't have a technician come out now. She refused and kept reading off her piece of paper. This is by far the worst company I have ever dealt with and buyer beware. If there are any other options for insurance I will be switching. This company is a joke and has had class action law suits against them numerous times since 2021 and I can see why.

    So I bought a TV from Costco in 2020 and supposedly the salesperson said it has a 6 years warranty. Anyways started having issues with it about 6 months ago and Samsung did a troubleshooting on it and thought it was better but recently it just completely burnt. Took it to Costco. They said I have to file a claim online. Tried to do that and didn’t let me. Had the time to call them then they told me, "Your 5 years expired in April," so about 4 months ago and they can’t honour the warranty even though the salesperson misinformed at Costco and I had those issues before April.

    I made an appointment to have the front screen replaced as it was shattered when it was dropped. I received a phone call 15 minutes before the end of the 3 hour window to let me know the technician (maybe he should call instead of having someone else as he knows approximately how long he will be) was running behind. I understand that does happen so I waited another 2 hours and still didn’t get a phone call. I called the customer service number and was told I could reschedule. I explained that I was going out of town that I needed to have this taken care of now. I didn’t really feel that I was being understood so I said I would wait a while longer.

    Another hour goes by and again I am put on hold and again I am told that I can reschedule. I was also told that there was no record of previous calls. Which I can prove there was. I was given the option of changing my appointment, taking it to a place that can fix it (there are none in my area) or have a new phone sent (I am going out of town so it wouldn’t get here). I am so pissed off at this point so I said cancel the appointment and I will reschedule when I return. Now I hope the whole screen doesn’t come off.

    Filed a claim online for a cracked screen on a Verizon phone on 9/19/25. Easy to make the claim, got an email back within minutes stating my repair would be made on 9/24 between 3pm & 5pm. Not thrilled about a 5 day wait but ok. On 9/24 at 5:30pm I called Asurion to let them know that no one had called or shown up. The guy told me they weren't scheduled to come out until 9/25 between 3pm & 5pm. I pulled up my email and it read Wednesday, 9/24/25. They couldn't explain it so I had to wait another day. But while I was on the phone they guy offered to give me this special deal on coverage for all my trouble. Took me forever to tell him NO! It was the $25 per month deal that everyone gets.

    On 9/25 right about 1pm, the repairman calls and tells me he can come now if I want. His name was Barry and he was great. Came right out, worked on the phone. Unfortunately the repair part was bad. I watched him unbox it and it was new so no fault of his. He told me he would cancel the claim and for me to make another claim for next week which would give him time to get the correct part. I waited an hour and tried to make a claim online. It wouldn't let me schedule another claim. So I waited another hour and called. Got a recording that they would call me back within 23-37 minutes.

    Over an hour later I got a call back. I explained the problem.... they put me on hold for 17 minutes...then I got a recording that the representative had hung up. So I called back again and spoke with a man and tried explaining to him that the phone had not been repaired and I need to schedule again. He couldn't understand the problem. Finally he transfers me to someone else (didn't tell me I was being transferred) and I tried explaining to them what happened. They tell me that they can't do anything because the system showed my phone was being repair right now.

    Then the lady told me to call the repairman back and gave me instructions on what to tell him so he could fix the problem. So I asked the question...Are you actually telling me to call someone that works for you, and explain to them how to fix a Asurion problem? She said yes because she didn't have their phone number. So I offered to give her the number they called me from but now she says she can't call them, that I need to do that. So I told her I would call because I needed my phone fixed but once fixed I was calling Verizon and cancelling the Asurion coverage because I never wanted to deal with this again. I had literally wasted half my day dealing with this. She told me that was a great idea because that's how they get better. Ugh! So I called Barry...we'll see what happens. But as for Asurion.... NEVER AGAIN!

    I lost my phone on Aug 30, 2025 in the ocean in Vancouver, BC. My phone was from Telus and had Device Care Complete which has Asurion as the insurance provider. Lost phones are covered by the provider. The phone was flagged as lost by Telus on September 4, 2025. I have put in a total of 7 claims now trying to use both dates and Asurion claims that my phone is still active, which is completely false. One of the claims even got all the way through to me choosing my new phone, getting an email saying everything is complete and receiving a phone call from someone to gather my shipping address and saying "Everything is complete and nothing else needed from your side. Someone will call to finalize the order." 20 minutes later, the claim was denied.

    I got an email after choosing my new phone that it is on backorder. I suspect they don't actually have a phone to provide me and instead of paying me out, they are trying to make me give up, which I absolutely will NOT do. I have provided emails and screenshots directly from Telus clearly stating that my phone was lost and last used on Aug 30, 2025, yet Asurion continues to deny my claims. This is clearly fraudulent and scammy behavior. Send me my new phone immediately.

    I’m now having to pay off a phone that I don’t even have because Asurion Insurance refused to replace it. Their Only reason was that it apparently “didn’t meet the terms and conditions” for them to insure the phone. Mind you it had gotten stolen from me the day after I purchased it. Therefore, it was supposed to already have insurance and then when I asked him what terms and conditions did it not meet they tell me “I have to read the whole pamphlet”…I had already had a police report with a case number and everything and they STILL would not replace it. BEWARE OF THEM!!

    Phone gets stolen in Vegas. ATT rep sets up next day replacement with Asurion to deliver to Hotel. Day 1- FedEx won't deliver. I call, the address provided is technically the Hotel garage. Day 2 I call back, they won't allow a pick up or change of address. Day 3 I call back (mind you I have to go thru Hotel phone for all this at Concierge desk) and Asurion transfers me to a "expedited rep" who promptly disconnects. Get a subsequent email my claim cannot be processed. Day 4 I call back and get transferred to the "Rep" who reinstated the claim and I get an email a tech is coming next day. Day 5, tech is coming, follow online transport link. Tech arrives at Hotel. I stand in lobby at Concierge desk w Concierge to sign anything, etc. Tech never comes in. Like nobody with a package came into the hotel and both the text & phone link associated with the tech don't work, they default to Asurion.

    Day 6 I call back and now I'm told FedEx or UPS will deliver the phone, and despite asking, am told nothing about the "expert" they sent yesterday who didn't have the common sense to just drop the phone off at the front desk. Spent the better part of my Vegas trip waiting on Asurion, including extra days, all for a phone they wouldn't simply deliver to ATT store or drop at Hotel Concierge. Complete lack of common sense and efficiency. Not a happy customer.
