    Contacted Asurion about a vacuum that was less than a year old. Since it was still under Mfg warranty, Asurion suggested I contact the Mfg. When I let Asurion I contacted the Mfg but received no answer, they immediately offered a full refund if the purchase price.

    Asurion is the company that administrates extended warranties for LG on major appliances. This company is using foreign workers to scam U.S. citizens. Beware. We learned the hard way and see no viable way to get back the money we spent on extended warranties that are non-existent.

    The most important thing is that Asurion agreed to replace a failed 65" TV with a new one that is just as good or better. The challenge was getting photos of the rear side that were good enough, where the TV is attached to a stand in a corner, and it wasn't easy to get behind it, and it took 2 tries.

    Asurion is absolutely awful. My washing machine from Best Buy isn’t working and it’s under the Asurion warranty. Asurion set up a service appointment for Thursday. Service window was 8am-1pm. Service company called at 1pm asking if they could come between 3pm-6pm. I said yes. They were a no show. Called Asurion. They set up a second appointment with a different company for Friday. Company was a no show. Called Asurion and asked for a supervisor. They refused. They said one would call me back. They never did. They made an appointment for Tuesday with a 3rd company. That company never showed up, even after I called them 2x to confirm. That company said that appointments made with Asurion are not guaranteed. The day of the appointment they determine if they have availability based on their higher paying customers that book through them directly. Those customers have priority.

    Now Asurion still refuses to connect me with a supervisor and their only suggestion is to make another appointment with a 4th company. All 3 companies they contracted with had a 3 star rating or lower. Two of them have a 2 star rating with tons of reviews saying they were no shows. The 4th company Asurion wants to send had a 1 star rating! I will never buy from Best Buy and I will absolutely never purchase the Asurion protection plan because they have awful service providers, you are last in line for priority with the providers and Asurion is useless.

    I feel that if you have to pay for insurance all year round for a phone and when you have to use the insurance you have to pay for a replacement phone, they do not even give you the option to send your phone back and fix your phone I just can't understand that one so instead of trying. To repair it, they just rather replace it and charge me for the replacement. Now I understand a deductible, but I'm paying all year round for a phone that I'm paying insurance on.     I have been with Asurion for several years, their customer service has always been great. The service has always been quick. I have never had any problems when I filed a claim. I tell everybody I talk to about how great their insurance plan is, and how they cover all electronics regardless of how old it is, the low monthly payment. You file, they review claim, you take picture of the electronic, the model and serial number, they contact you, you pay a small few, they send you a list of new electronics and then pick a delivery date.     I have been using Asurion for electronics bought on Amazon for years, and they have always been very helpful, and make filing claims and keeping track of my covered items very easy and convenient. I would say it also probably has something to do with the nature of the warranty. I've noticed that a car warranties almost always suck, and electronics warranties are almost always worth it.     Cody came to my house to fix my phone screen. I have twin 4 year olds who love to “help” and somehow, must have “helped” too much and dropped my phone.     The first year of 2023 the warranty went into effect, we had Eggies do some repairs. There was no warranty mentioned.     I am filing this review to document an extremely troubling experience with Asurion under a Verizon Home Device Protect policy. My Apple laptop was submitted to Asurion’s authorized repair provider for a keyboard issue. They kept the device for over two weeks. When it was finally returned, it was in worse and unusable condition than before. In addition to the original issue, the laptop:

    • No longer connected to Wi-Fi
    • Had its back cover improperly reassembled

    • Was missing a screw and making abnormal internal noise

    This resulted in total loss of use and direct impact on my work. After escalating, Asurion stated in writing that my device needed to be physically inspected at a uBreakiFix store as part of their “service-caused damage” process to determine replacement or reimbursement. I went to the store exactly as instructed. The technicians confirmed the Wi-Fi issue was still not working. However, when they tried to proceed, they informed me the claim had been canceled by Asurion and therefore they refused to keep the device or complete the inspection — despite Asurion previously insisting this inspection was required for resolution. This is completely unacceptable.

    It’s very easy to use. You start off with the app, starting the claim, then they will email you a link. Click on the link that’s when you will be able to print out the form you need to fill out then, you take a picture of it and finish uploading it online. I recommend all your pictures be taken on your phone first then uploading them into the spot, versus giving the site access to your camera for whatever reason, the pictures will come out clearer if you upload them.     UPDATE. It is now Dec 19 and still no phone. Hasn’t been mailed out either. They claim it says it’s ready to be shipped back but no note on whether it’s fixed or not and no tracking number started yet. I have made a claim with CCTS. Do not purchase this insurance. I am convinced the few good reviews you see about them are by their own employees, but most are highly negative anyways.

    I started a claim on November 18th for my son's phone, it took 10 days just to receive the package to ship the phone in, I shipped the phone Dec 2 as soon as I received it, and my tracking told me the phone was delivered to them on December 3rd. Since there were no updates, no calls. The email they send out states “you can expect to have your device back within 5 business days of us receiving it, if it is unfixable we will contact you.”

    I called in 4 times, no one could tell me a thing about the phone and why I hadn’t heard from anyone yet, just that they will contact their tech who’s working on the phone. Finally yesterday December 12 I get a phone call letting me know that because the back was broken which I stated in the claim the battery had swollen and they need my permission to fix it … I asked are they calling because it will cost more? Nope same price .. so basically it’s taken 2 weeks for a phone call to ask my permission to fix the broken phone that I sent in to be FIXED ….

    Still no idea when my son will receive his phone, was told 5-7 more business days. Honestly the $16 or $17 a month I pay + $130 to fix the phone + god only knows how long a wait to get the phone back .. Do yourselves a favour. Just put away $17 a month in your own account and have your phone fixed in your hometown if it breaks. It will save you money in the long run and lots of time because what a load of BS this has been.

    I have had my plan for over 6 months now and when I tell you I have not been disappointed. The repair turnaround is quick, the claim process is simple and easy. Having this plan is worth it and is convenient. I would recommend having it! It covers all current and previous purchases. I accidentally spilled liquid in my keyboard and laptop and had to file a claim for repairs. I happened right before the Thanksgiving holiday, actually that same week. I filed a claim and they sent me a box and shipping label out and it came with 5 business days. I received my shipping materials and mailed my laptop off, but due to the holidays it took an extra day. However, once they received my laptop it took them only 3 days to let me know my laptop wasn't repairable and immediately, they emailed me a gift card in the amount of the price I paid for the laptop. I was able to get a new laptop and also have it covered under my plan as well.

    Honestly, I never buy insurance or items that cover claims. The process tends to be so difficult that I would rather simply go out and buy a new product or do without. The Verizon salesperson was very convincing and I think because I had some plan savings, I decided to go for it, and I am so very happy I did.
