My phone, a Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3, developed a problem where the factory-installed screen protector delaminated where it folds. This started after perhaps 6 months of use, and got progressively worse until I requested it be repaired under Warranty. Samsung won't cover this issue (which is documented in the Internet by hundreds if not thousands of users). As it stood, Samsung wanted about $370 to fix it even though it was less than a year old and had never been dropped on a hard surface (IE: only a few times on carpeting from a chair's arm) and ALWAYS we in a fully protective case that even covers the hinge.
Without the part being replaced, the display was very sub-standard and QRC displays no longer were being read at the supermarket (for instance). I filed a Claim through Verizon, since I pay about $17/month for their premier Extended warranty. The Claim process was quick and provided me with a brand new phone, quickly shipped. I LOVE Asurion's protection that was provided!

When my daughter's phone was pickpocketed while she was traveling abroad, the customer service representative at Asurion was so helpful to helping us figure out what we needed to do to protect the information on her phone and get a replacement phone issued to us. She was extremely knowledgeable.

Lots of unclear answers about arrival of the phone which started as Monday, then Wednesday. Phone arrived Monday. A clearer timeline would alleviate stress during downtime without a phone. Otherwise service was good and responses were timely. The online process was easy to navigate.

It took almost 3 weeks to get phone fixed. The tech was polite. But, when he replaced the screen, piece of debris got caught under the screen. Would like that fixed, but do not want to have to repeat the process again

Love the fast response and great customer support. I was given the attention and priority that I desperately needed. I spent a couple hours with tech support with no luck in resolving my issue. I utilize my phone in various ways and most importantly it is a vital necessity with regards to my work overall. I filed my claim with Verizon and within 30 minutes I received an email from Asurion with the next steps to take. We had the phone fixed within a few hours of filing the initial claim and I felt the process was very simple and straightforward. The employee at Asurion was great in answering our questions and assuring us we would have no worries. They kept us informed on the status of our repairs and called as soon as it was ready. I was very pleased with the whole experience and would definitely recommend anyone use Asurion in Colonial Heights for any repairs needed for any electronic devices.

We were on vacation in Ocean City NJ when our son's screen cracked from falling on tile floor. Asurion had available agents nearby that came to the house we were in and fixed the screen right from the car. Fast, efficient, and courteous.

We have been faithful AT&T customers for several years. We have five lines that we pay insurance on, two for us, the other three for our kiddos. This summer we were on a boat trip at a lake. My husband's phone got pushed off the boat when we were pulling up a flotation device. It sunk so fast! We tried diving in after it but it was too late.
It was a huge bummer as we still owed $800 on it. We were relieved to have insurance. When we called Asurion to make a claim one of the first automated options was “Did you lose your phone in a lake?”, we responded “Yes”. Little did we know that it was a set up. After 48 hours(literally over a month)of arguing with Asurion and AT&T, we finally accepted that we will HAVE to pay for the phone. We haven’t received any compensation and were accused of fraud?!? The catch.. somewhere in the fine print, apparently, you can’t “drop your phone in a lake”. Lesson learned. Say your phone was damaged or stolen, otherwise THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF, even if you pay $50 a month for insurance.

The backlights on my Vizio went out. A repair tech come out. Deemed it not repairable. The next day I was emailed 5 great options for replacement and two days later a Walmart delivery person was knocking at my door with my brand new LG tv.

The staff at the Asurion location in Plainfield that fixed my broken screen were amazing! The process on the phone with Verizon was a headache. They had the wrong EMI number so Asurion had to take 5 days to correct my records. If it wasn’t for the young man who actually fixed my phone I would have dropped Verizon and Asurion.

My girlfriend dropped my phone on a hard floor and it broke immediately. I filed my claim immediately because we had a vacation planned in 3 days. For my initial claim, it was initially approved and the replacement phone was shipped to me, but then the next morning my claim was denied by Asurion for reasons that are still unclear to me. The replacement phone had already arrived in NYC but the shipment was reversed by Asurion. It took me hours on the phone to get my claim resubmitted and approved. The 2nd attempt did not arrive before my vacation, so I spent the vacation without a phone.
When I arrived back home, the replacement phone that arrived was defective. It would lose its SIM card connection 3-5 times per day and needed to be constantly restarted. I called Asurion to report the defective replacement and they told me to try swapping out the SIM card. I tried this for 2 days and it did not fix the issue. Finally, after more than 2 weeks of issues, Asurion approved a 3rd replacement phone which finally arrived to me and is the phone I'm using now. This was an unnecessarily difficult experience and based on all the challenges, I would not recommend Asurion to anyone else unless compensated for all the wasted time and effort getting a replacement phone that should have been covered and functional in the first place.

I filed this claim to correct a repair done by Asurion protection service. The option to warranty claim lead me this direction, as the original repair is not satisfactory or sufficient. My only option was to replace my device with a refurbished one, AFTER Asurion failed to effectively replace a screen with a quality product and service. I will not be continuing my coverage when I replace my device, or will be using an alternative coverage provider.

Service was quick. Cost of insurance seems high compared to Apple coverage. My request was handled quickly and I received my replacement as promised. But given the premium and deductible amount, I suspect it is a great money maker for Asurion. I believe it is a privately held company or I would invest.

Very professional team came to my house and repaired my Samsung Galaxy S21 Plus. Within a half hour it was back 100% working again. Highly recommended! I've had to pay four times the amount as my premium to repair a similar phone on my own. It was a great relief to have a very minor deductible to pay to get my phone back to 100%.

I paid to have a tablet replaced due to a cracked screen. It was replaced and quickly and so far is in good working order. I returned the damaged tablet, got confirmation that it was received and then was still charged the 50 dollar fine. I called to have the charge reversed and the support person told me I'd see it in 5 to 10 days. We're on business day number 15 and the charge still hasn't been reversed. Frustrating and fraudulent. Wouldn't recommend.

You added the home protection plan to my account even though I told you I did NOT want it. I said this multiple times, that I was NOT interested in your home protection plan. I feel like you need to notate a customer's account when they said NO. I had to keep calling about the same problem over and over again, and had to say NO over and over again. Then you added it anyway. Way to listen, not.

Wish I could have used the cheaper fix it plan instead of the spendy mail a new device to me. It was easy to use the mail but it cost me a lot more money. I would have had to drive one way 1 hour and sit and wait at least 4 hour to fix it. I don't have that kind of time in a day to waste. I would have had to take vacation from work.

The Asurion experience was uncomfortable. I told the associate on numerous occasions that I did not want a refurbished phone because the phone I had was refurbished and barely lasted 3 months without major malfunctions such as changes language, not allowing me to place conference calls and dropping calls. My grown son broke his phone. It was very easy to submit a claim. He got his replacement phone the next evening. When they had not received his old phone back, they reached out and called up and ask us what was wrong. We had not factory reset his phone so we had to take it out of the envelope and so we needed a new one. They sent us one. Made me very happy.

Their service sucks. Called in 4 times to get a replacement (Verizon phone). First 3 calls dropped after a million prompts. Then I have to send in an affidavit AND my license to MAYBE get a phone shipped to me. I won't know for at least 24 hours. What a joke! Where are these paid 5 star reviews coming from?

The claims process was easy and efficient. I dropped my phone and it cracked on both sides. My replacement came fast and they even provided the pouch to send in my damaged phone. My only con is paying $18 monthly insurance and still having to pay a $300 deductible.

Do not buy a phone with Verizon and then use Asurion- buy a phone at Apple and use AppleCare- so much easier and cheaper in the long run. The Asurion and Verizon passcodes don't always line up and neither company helps when they don't.

This company does not stand behind their warranty and will not fix your product. STAY AWAY!!! Total scam. They have been out 4 times and replaced the SAME parts in my stove and still cannot fix it and will not replace it. What is the point in paying for the warranty. I have a family and have had no stove for one month!!!!

The Asurion staff was very well versed and very helpful. Getting a replacement phone was easy and no hassle. My son's phone was damaged as it fell out of his pocket and then bounced down the stairs as he was carrying laundry upstairs. As they say, no good deed goes unpunished. Half his screen was out. While the fee to replace was a tad high. It is way better than the full price of a new phone.

Genuine Microsoft controllers not purchased with the console are not covered. That is VERY disappointing - and was not clear at all! Quite upset to not get help with my son’s design lab controller.

I had dropped my phone and cracked the screen and the entire screen had started to shut down so that I could barely use the phone. I had insurance and filed a claim and even though the replacement was a bit costly-the phone itself is new and expensive-I was sent a replacement immediately. I was sent instructions to switch the phones over but my screen was so broken I needed to bring it to my local Verizon store to switch them over but that wasn't Asurion's fault.

I called Asurion to file a claim for the phone that I lost. I paid my deductible for the replacement and I thought everything was good. When I checked the tracking link, it was being sent to the wrong address. I tried UPS and they said to call Asurion. After a couple of days delayed it arrived. It was not my phone model or brand. It was an older brand and model phone I had before. Called Asurion, had it corrected. By now more than a week had passed from what was supposed to be "next day delivery." I requested to speak to a manager, never got to a manager. They said they was no manager per say just someone in charge.
From the more than 10 people I had talked to during the 2 weeks it took to get my replacement phone only 2 did try their best to fix the situation. There were notes left from each call I made. But still the replacement was still being sent to the wrong address and it was not the upgraded one. I got an upgrade on the phone to compensate for the troubles. But to be honest that didn't reply the two weeks of hell I got at work and with my family members.... I couldn't communicate with anyone or fix anything because from wherever I try to connect the device was not recognized and I couldn't remember the passwords that are saved in Google thru my phone.
I ended up with 3 phones being sent to my address, I returned the 2 extra ones but still received a warning that I had to return them or risk a charge on my account after I had already sent them back. Lesson learned. I bought several types of straps lanyards to have my phone with me at all times. I do not want to go thru the same experience ever again. Oh, yeah finally, my phone bill went up.... someone has to pay for the "complementary" upgrade...
I just hope that Asurion's management pays attention and fix their mistakes because what I got was a series of bad customer service and not one single manager ever reach out to to fix this situation. I am only writing this now because is long weekend and I have time off from my 3 jobs. Yes 1 full and 2 part time, only way to pay bills. I expect at least a good service for my money...

Zero stars! Worst experience. I have been paying insurance for over 5 years and this is the first time using it. After a cracked screen and filling a claim.. Was only given 7 days to take care of it, yet claims from Verizon were not going through to repair shop. I love in the mountains over an hour from any shop. Screen went black, then was told repair not an option, now I had to pay 250 to get a new phone.. but only a week to get things transferred and old phone sent back. I called several times to get help, not one person could help with much of anything. All you care about is the money.. I will never get insurance again... What a scam.

Asurion never showed for first appointment. Claimed someone tried to call me prior to appointment, but could not say who or when. (Learned rep resigned earlier in week). Asurion rescheduled a second appointment ten days later for early evening. Rep called that morning at 9 AM saying she didn't work evenings. I could reschedule for a future date or leave work and meet that morning. Then they had nerve to ask if I wanted to enroll in whole house protection.

Practically effortless. Super easy and quick. My daughter broke her phone and needed a new one. I called to see what I needed to do and the customer service rep was super helpful. I never received my replacement or refund and Asurion told police that I signed for my replacement and that is not true. It was a lie. It’s fraud what Asurion did. They lied. The deductible is too high compared to the amount of money that I pay for the coverage. I just got a notice that I can that my coverage is temporarily ceased due to 3 claims in a 12 month period yet I still pay the insurance which I think is a rip off. The 3rd claim was due to a charging issue, which you determined it was my fault without putting an eye on it. I believe that it was defective charging port on the phone. I understand that the replacements are repaired units. So why couldn't it be a defective charging unit. And I know that you're going to tell me to read the policy. I need an attorney to read your policy.

Although I am satisfied with the outcome, it took a lot of work on my part (and 4 phone calls) to get here. I would have preferred to have my cell phone repaired, the parts were never in stock for the repair - I went into two repair locations, neither of which could provide the repair, and scheduled two separate appointments (both of which were cancelled and scheduled for later). After all of this, we decided to send a new phone for the price of the repair. It came quickly and sending the other phone back was easy. That being said, I had to attempt to work with a barely usable device for 4 days. I also had to convert my phone with my settings.

Service was good. They had to ship new phone and was a little disappointed that it took longer than expected to get here. We made appt for next day service but phone was out of stock. This was for my grandson and you know teens can’t live w/o a phone.

I was told on the phone by an Asurion employee to reject delivery for a shipped replacement phone after my employee found their lost phone. UPS left the package on the front porch and so I called back in to Asurion to check what I should do and was told to have the phone returned to a UPS store and to reject the delivery there. The UPS employees were skeptical and so we triple checked. I even asked if we should open the box and/or ship the phone back with tracking and was told not to. Then after the fact I was told that Asurion would not refund my money or follow the process outlined by your staff.

I pay for full coverage every single month for 5 lines and had to still pay for replacing the phone. Worst service ever! Five days later, phone was still not processed or shipped! After shipping, needed help with lost transferred files. Was told it was not their problem!

I had cracked my screen while at work. I filed a claim and was given a 7 day window to take it to the location specified (there were options to have someone come to you or meet in a public place but I chose taking it to the physical location). I was able to get a new screen put on for only $30. Phone was like new again and it only took a couple hours.

Your tech service rep hung up on me, when this refurb phone that is my replacement, all of a sudden lost all the contacts. She was unable to help and told me that this is a known problem with Android phones. This phone is crap. It already lost my contacts once with no way to restore them. Your service is terrible.

iPhone SE 2022 local store did not have OEM screen available. Had to ship phone out, although turn around time was great. Had to get new phone instead of screen repair, they did not say why??? Very difficult to speak with a rep when calling. New phone works good, as it should!

I chose to take my iPhone to local UbreakIfix location for screen repair on a Sunday. I dropped off at 9:30 and was told two hour guarantee. Went and got my oil changed and did a few errands, returned an hour and a half Later and it was done. Looks and works brand new.

The iPhone 7 replacement through either the microphone or speaker is not heard from the other end or words are broken up. The iPhone has to be closer to the internet modem to be connected unlike the iPod reception that is farther away.

I was on a motorcycle road trip and lost my phone. After 3 different Verizon store stops, finally got through to you. Got cut off in mid-sentence speaking with your rep and she sent the phone to my home in Arizona instead of my next hotel in the middle of a cross country trip. No phone! Terrible service! I will not use your insurance again and recommend to everyone I know that your service is terrible. Oh, and the phone you sent me had nothing but issues and I had to repeat the process. Thanks for ruining and not helping me on a road trip.

This company make it their business to get you satisfied with what the customer wants for the amount of money they're spending to have the plan like this. I felt like I was being treated fairly with what happened to my IPad but someone else may have went to the extreme and not be as understanding as me but either way it turned out to be a good outcome and now I have to purchase to purchase another product.

Blacked out screen was the problem with my phone. Exchange time was slow. I thought I would have the replacement phone next day delivery. Plus $129 deductible seemed high after paying $7.50 monthly for 2 years? But what do you do? I discovered I could have had the screen replaced for $100 locally. Thanks anyway

I placed a claim on June 24th 2022 and was given a appointment but nobody contacted me after I waited & then I get a text saying the van was broke down & rescheduled only to have the same text sent after waiting again! I paid for my lost/stolen phone & to have a screen fixed on the other. Several years back my phone was destroyed and I paid the outrageous deductible only to have them charge me $500 more which I didn't see until several months later! I haven't had one good experience with your company & I want my phone fixed that I paid for & a refund for the $500 charge that should have never been charged to my account!
My business has paid for your insurance since 2017 and I'm VERY unhappy! No calls, no updates, no communication whatsoever except a text later in the day after I wasted 2 days waiting & was completely disrespected!! This service is unacceptable & unsatisfactory on every level! I want a high level supervisor to contact me & not someone that knows absolutely nothing & cannot resolve this issue! I have numerous friends with your insurance and if this isn't corrected asap I will go to every review site, look into legal action, and tell everyone we know to leave your company for one that will actually take care of their customers!! After finally realizing that the phone they sent in June for the replacement should not have been pre-paid, they were quick in getting a new phone out to me to correct this issue. The phone was sent immediately and received the very next day. My only concern is having nobody available to help set up the item if you are trying to set up late in the evening.

My screen was cracked. Asurion sent me a defective replacement 2 days later. I called them back and they sent another replacement device 2 days later. This one is fine. How can they sent a refurbished replacement that is defective, when it was supposed to be like new. Someone had to have noticed.

I had really Quick service and an easy exchange. I appreciate how fast it was for me to get a new phone. Kind of sad I couldn't just get the screen fixed. That used to be an option. I submitted a claim about a week and a half ago asking about my phone to be replaced because I was run over by a moving vehicle. I kept receiving emails saying they would contact me within 24 hours and have not been contacted at all this week. I phoned in and submitted a claim request with all the required documents and Melissa, on the Asurion team, was very rude in stating that there is nothing she can do. She even had the audacity to laugh with a colleague while I was on the phone thinking that my claim was a joke but I need a phone because I am leaving country within this month. I will definitely be switching from Telus as they are terrible to their customers and think that our problems are just a joke.

My mom got a replacement phone that wasn't unlocked for Verizon. I spent over 3 hours on chat (office was closed) trying to figure out why it didn't work, and another hour the next morning on the phone with a live person. She eventually had to take the phone to Verizon. The employee figured it out (not uncommon he said - happens frequently), called Asurion, and the lady wouldn't help - she wouldn't even let him talk to a supervisor to get the situation done and over with right then and there, so he had to submit another claim in order to get a replacement for that one.
I had to call in AGAIN, making it my 5th hour on the phone, and I was told I needed to give my card to place a temp charge of $425 if the locked phone wasn't returned. I said I was absolutely not going to be held accountable for something that was out of my control. I waited to speak to a supervisor for a while before she finally got on and sent me the replacement without my card info. Just an absolute horrible experience. Such an unnecessary headache especially for people who work a full-time job... The last thing they want to do is go home and spend the entire evening on the phone with customer service. We dropped our coverage due to this experience.
