    Whenever something happens with a newer product, it's always worrisome to contact companies about issues, especially regarding a warranty. They don't always help you, as you hope they will. My walking pad stopped working after a little over a year and a half of use, which has impacted my health journey.     I replaced my phone whose connector went bad, paid for the replacement and the initial replacement phone overheated when placed on the charger. I contacted them and was offered another replacement. This device does not connect to Wifi consistently, or has delayed connectivity, drops calls, and is basically not a reliable device. However, when I tried to submit another claim, the response was to call Asurion, so I did. The customer service rep told me she could not help me because I did not have another line to contact her on. I basically wasted money and time with this service and device.

    Phones worked great when I got them a year ago. We had our power to go off for 3 hours due to weather conditions. When it came back on, the phones would not work.     I opened my guitar case to find my headstock had snapped off, I was so upset as I’ve only had it for a year and a half and it was my first guitar.     Our LG 65” TV suddenly stopped connecting to WiFi. We had to completely reset the TV to factory settings and after a few tints it now just spins paginating no WiFi services at all.     I filed a claim for a tablet. It was approved and I sent the tablet to Asurion with the provided QR code through UPS. After 9 days I called in to check on the tablet. After speaking with a manager, about the lengthy process. I also explained that I use this tablet at work for streaming, etc. during down time. He proceeded to tell me that the claim will be denied because I use it as a work device. I explicitly said I use it to stream during down time, not as a work device. They denied it. This place is a scam. Avoid at all cost. Apple Care is the way to go.

    Asurion is the worst company I have ever dealt with in my entire life. I got phone insurance with Asurion through Verizon when I got my old phone, which I dropped and the screen shattered, so I made a claim and it went very smoothly at first (Easily made a claim and got my replacement very quickly). Everything went downhill from there.

    For clarification, my old phone was a Motorola G Power 2021. I was told I would get an identical replacement phone (So I should have recieved a new Motorola G Power 2021). I recieved my phone in the mail opened the box and found that I actually got a really beat-up looking Motorola G Power 2020. I flip over the phone to unpackage it and the back panel of the phone is falling off and there are marks all over the back of the phone.

    I start setting up the phone and find out that I have to call customer service to activate the SIM Card. I do that and get a hold of someone very quickly. It took maybe 10 minutes to activate the phone. I was then kept on the phone for over an hour by a (presumably Indian) woman who I can barely understand due to a very thick accent trying to sell me extra stuff for my phone. After this hour and a half-long sales pitch, I finally hang up with my phone activated.

    I start using my phone and I immediately notice it's a bit laggy. It's bearable though and I use the phone for a few months (I recieved this phone in late May of this year). After a few months, the phone starts declining a lot with worsening lag and UI issues. Fast forward to now (January 2025) and my phone needs to be restarted about every hour because the buttons and apps start disappearing and my phone screen starts glitching a lot. Basic apps like Google Chrome and YouTube are almost unusable due to the phone being so slow. Asurion is a terrible company and a complete scam.

    I have Asurion phone replacement insurance through Verizon Wireless. I filed a claim for a damaged phone and received a replacement on 12/5/2024. The replacement came with a self-addressed envelope to return the damaged phone. I was instructed to return the phone by 1/3/2025 via the self-addressed envelope. I returned the phone on 12/10/2024 via the USPS as instructed. On 12/19/2024, I received a message from Asurion phone number 1-800-762-0276, stating that my phone still needed to be returned or I may be charged. I contacted Asurion at the same phone number on 12/26/2024 and spoke with a representative, informing the representative that my phone was returned on 12/10/2024. The representative said not to worry and that the account would be marked so I do not get charged.

    On 1/6/2025, I was notified from my American Express card that Asurion charged my card $250 on 1/6/2025. I then attempted to call the same number 1-800-762-0276 to speak with a representative as to why my card was charged despite the representation made to me on the 12/26/2024 phone call. An automated message answered and put me on hold for a representative. The phone then hung up. I called back several times, each time the automated message playing and then hanging up without a representative answering. I then looked up another phone number for Asurion on their website 1-866-667-2535. I spoke with a representative who informed me that there were no notes in the file from the December 26, 2024 phone call.

    I asked for the tracking information from the envelope they provided and I was told that the representative could not see that information. He told me that another department can get that information for me and forwarded me to the representative, who then forwarded me to "Monique" from the "COO" department. Monique then stated that she can not provided me the tracking information. According to "Monique," her direct line is 615-445-1233. Asurion charged my card in the amount of $250 despite my returning of the phone in accordance with the company's instructions.

    They also made false representations that my card would not be charged on 12/26/2024 during my phone call. They also refused to provide the tracking information on their own provided envelope despite the representation by the representative that they were able to get this information. I am concerned that this is the ordinary course of business for this company, based upon my experience with them, to unlawfully charge their customers and refuse to provide any information related to this.

    I was skeptical when I first filed my claim mostly because I had read some negative feedback. But my skepticism was totally unfounded.     My Name is Ricardo **, I am a very upset customer, my product was Asurion home plus which I had to cancel on December 5th 2024. I would like to add up for everyone that's tempted to get this service please just stay away from Asurion, their service is really really sketchy. My situation was as follows. I got plenty of electronics at home and I work on construction, some things I use constantly will break often, so then I broke an Ipad and said oh well. Luckily I just got Asurion service to do so... Well..... turns out Asurion has fine print that apparently you can't claim anything within certain amount of time 30 days it was said, even though my claim went in 45 days later, they still rejected the fix because according to them I wasn't within timeframe.

    Anyhow I am not the only case, there are plenty of angered people out there that paid for this service and got their repairs rejected also the iPad I broke was an Ipad 9th, if the device costs 250 dollars they want 100 dollars for each claim you make on top of what you already pay every month and when I went to see how much was for the parts off Amazon to just fix it myself parts are only 70 dollars so well the point here at least on my point of view it is not worth to get their service because it's just not, if you want to get their service anyway there is a lot of chance that you will experience the same exact thing, so have good luck and I hope this helps people out there.

    Actual filing a claim November 27th Then Chat on December 3rd: Filed, then they needed pics for products, front and back, send screen captures of your product receipt, send picture of your Asurion receipt, wait 3-5 days. Then they tell you it's in process, that's all, NO prepaid mailer to send out to repair shop. Go to live chat, as no place to call them, took 50 minutes, Asurion still couldn't figure out how to get my prepaid mailed email to me, then they open and refiled the claim again. Now I have lost 7 days and in the process of starting all over and I had to resubmit the same pictures all over again and they claim it's another 3-5 days to approve a claim, that was already approved. Yes, this happens every time I deal with filing a claim with asurion, every time. Asurion claims easy 5 minutes filing, claims processed fast. Nope

    My experience using them multiple time has been delays, multi chats, everywhere from 7 to 20 days to get an item sent out and then another 5-20 days to get it repaired or Amazon gift card. They are fast in taking your money for the warranty but it's like pulling teeth to get them to get the claim filed correctly and processed. This was not like this 4+ years ago, so something has changed at asurion and for the worse. So while you do eventually get a repaired, replaced or gift card, it's like a month before its all done, they need to figure this problem out. Pictures are the items that failed, hearing aids for my 86 year old Dad who since November 27th has been without them trying to get these files, repaired or amazon gift card, as promised by asurion

    Asurion is a COMPLETE SCAM. I pay $20/month so if something happens to my phone it can be replaced efficiently. The amount I have paid at this point is far more than a replacement phone is even worth, but I was willing to do it for the security of having my phone replaced quickly and easily. As a small business owner and single parent I RELY on my phone for EVERYTHING. I filed a claim last week, expecting a replacement in 24-48 hours as indicated. I received first a message that my phone had shipped, and then a second message that actually, it was unavailable on back order, with no indication as to when it would arrive.

    When I called through their obnoxious automated system to finally reach an individual, they made me jump through hoops of cancelling the claim and calling back again 4-6 hours later to refile. They promised me the phone would come the next day. That was 3 days ago. Again, I couldn't access any tracking info, so called through their system again, and was told it would come today. Now tracking is showing it will arrive Tuesday. That is a WEEK after I filed the initial claim, and who knows if that will even happen!! Needless to say I am beyond frustrated and highly advise against wasting your money with this scam of an insurance company. All they did was placate me with lies and I still don't have a phone. I could have replaced my phone the same day for less money without all this hassle. DO NOT GET THIS INSURANCE.

    I lost my new iPhone 16 Pro Max 1TB on Oct 11 2024, I purchased on Oct 8 2024. I filed the claim the next morning so, I could get live help if needed. The company did approve my claim and charged me $275 deductible and shipped my device, the company very next day cancels my claim automatically stating “our licensed insurance reviewers have declined your claim”. When asked for further details, they had no answer. Meanwhile, I called the insurance company to ask about how to resolve the issue, the agents refiled the claim, and again got it declined after several calls daily for about 1.5 hr a day and hearing the same thing and all the agents force you to refile the claim and not mentioning the exact reason of denial, we reached to Nov 17 2024.

    When I stayed on the phone for 3 hrs, the staff keeps going back and forth like usual transferring me to ATT and Asurion, just shuffling my call, asking me to pay off the device from my own personal finance claiming that, "You make enough to pay off this device". They finally got asurion. So called “ACS” staff and the lady claim that “I bypassed and approved your claim myself. Sorry for the hassle and your replacement will be at your way tomorrow. You will receive an email for confirmation.” I waited for the email like crazy for about next 15 hours, I make a call again just to make sure they again cancelled and put me in the same situation again. So they left me with no choice to give public awareness, and not get in their scam.

    The easiest claim I've ever made!!! In a household of 7 our alliances get used, hence the warranty purchases.
