I have been shopping at B&H for a few years now. Their website is very well organized and provides all the information I need, whether it's technical specifications or reviews. Finding what I'm looking for is always very easy. Furthermore, if I end up ordering a wrong item, returning that item is not complicated at all. When it comes to photography and electronics, B&H is my favorite go-to place.sssssssss

I don't think I will ever be doing business with this company again in the future after this latest complete shipping hell experience. This company after waiting since June for a lens to come in stock charged my card out of the blue 1 day after sending me an email telling me they had no new updates for me. After calling them about the charge they told me the lens was already shipped so even though I was clearly frustrated I decided not to cancel the order and get it from them instead of the local shop I had found one at. Today I find out they shipped the lens back to themselves and then immediately shipped it off to another customer... Guess what!? Now there are no more lenses in stock! Go FIGURE! $900 poorer and a company who thinks this is just fine customer service... Stay away. They are trash.

Bought a Macbook Pro online and they sent me the wrong machine with half the RAM. No big deal...mistakes happen. Called customer service to resolve this issue, paid for another computer only to have them send me the wrong computer AGAIN. Called again and they tried to get me to purchase another computer. Not to mention, they tried to upsell me with a more expensive model and offered to knock off $40 for my “hardship.” Waste of time and money. Sent both the computers back for a full refund and will no longer be purchasing from this company.

Ordered product on 7/15/19, special order, not in stock which I knew. Website product would be available to ship in 7-14 business days. 14 business days has expired, no product availability yet so I called customer service and was informed it's backordered through the manufacturer. I called manufacturer and said they have no idea why I was told that, they have plenty in stock. Received an email today from B&H customer service stating product is still backordered. Lies! Worst customer service I've ever experienced! False information provided to customer to cover some shady business practice they have with the manufacturer. I would have been ok if they told me the truth. Will never use B&H again!

Ordered a used camera and lens from B&H for the amount of approx. $2,850. About 30 minutes after placing the order, I received an email that the order was cancelled. No explanation, no anything. After checking the next morning, the item that I ordered was not available anymore. I can only assume, that the website of B&H showed items that actually weren't available to begin with. My conclusion: Never order at B&H as you never know if they actually will be able to deliver. Very bad service.

The website says they are open till 6PM on Sunday, and I tried to call several times between 5 and 5:30 with only a busy signal. I bought a USB Bluetooth stereo tuner, wired it to the speakers, plugged in the USB drive and it played for 10 minutes. Turned it off and came back the next day, turned it on, and got the welcome please wait screen, which NEVER WENT OFF! The unit is defective, so I emailed PYLE and they said to deal with the retailer, which I cannot do because they do not answer the phone, or they left early, or they don't have a switchboard that can handle more than 1 call at a time. I will keep trying, but as of now I will never recommend them and write scathing reviews wherever possible, one per day. This is day one.

I purchased a replacement lamp for my Epson projector. The lamp should burn for 4000 hours. I got 150 hours out of it. B&H won't do anything since more than 30 days has elapsed. I obviously was sold a defective product or one that wasn't brand new and had hours on it. B&H offered to contact the manufacturer for me and follow-up with a return email or call, but never did. Once I spend 45 minutes on the phone with Epson, they offered me 10 percent off a new bulb. They cost approximately $150. Not helpful either. I won't be purchasing another Epson product or anything at all from B&H. There is no integrity in their products.

Brand new defective product from B&H - MacBook 13" touch bar 2018. It was my first order with B&H and received a brand new MacBook Pro touch bar from B&H delivered on 06/21/19. The packaging was in mint condition but the item was found defective as I was not able to set up my MacBook so I had to call B&H customer service and surprisingly was asked to contact Apple Care and when I contacted Apple on the same trying to help me set up with two different technicians failed and advised me to return the product which was concluded as defective.
I was surprised to see the battery was dead and sensed some very light marks on the touch bar and side by the mouse pad as I bought a brand new product as specified by the B&H. I had to call 3 times to reach proper B&H personnel to return my product which took more than 20 min as I was transferred to different departments and finally had to get the directions for the return. (Prior to this I had to be with Apple for an hour and half to get set up my MacBook.) I purchased the product based on the reviews which most of them were positive about B&H and also to save taxes as described for this product with no tax, but I don't know if the mistake is with B&H or Apple or my bad luck in getting the defective product. Finally I would be happy if I get my complete refund awaited as promised by B&H.

I attempted to post a sincere and lengthy evaluation regarding the Matthews Baby Mini Preemie Steel Stand; even complimenting both companies, but offering consumers a warning about the condition of four stands I ordered and had to return. My issue is that B&H refuses to post my honest and accurate review. I have the mini slider, and just ordered a second one last evening--will receive it today, and have three C-Stands. All are fabulous. But, the new Mini Preemie is to be avoided.
Each one I ordered was poorly manufactured: 1. The holder/tightening knob on the top portion of the stand wasn't attached properly and allows play when extended. This problem allows the stand to have a slant to the vertical arm and will result in an uneven platform for your expensive equipment. 2. Steel cuts are rough and sloppy; they won't affect the use, but this indicates these stands don't live up to the Matthews reputation for quality. 3. The pads on the bottom of every stand, show hairline cracks and will likely result in larger splits or even cause pieces to break away with rigorous use.
After spending over $8000 in the last couple of weeks, I would have thought they would like feedback; Not the case, they told me they wouldn't sell me the Preemie stands any longer. This is great because I don't want to have to go through the process of order-inspect-return-reorder, over and over again. B&H is unwilling to inform consumers of problems with this stand, and so let this be a warning about flaws in what could be a fantastic product.

On May 5th, 2019 my banking info was used without my knowledge. On May 6th, 2019 I contacted my bank to notify them of the unauthorized fraudulent charge. Because the transaction was still pending my bank advised me that the transaction could not be stopped unless the merchant (B&H Photo) cancels the transaction. I called B&H Photo immediately to inform them that someone placed an order from there company using stolen banking info. The representative transferred me to someone in their so called fraud department. That rep advised me that the order had been shipped and that the company was going to contact FedEx to stop the delivery. She then told me that she would send me a form stating it was fraud and that it would take about three days for me receive a refund. I still contacted my bank to put in a fraud claim.
I called B&H Photo to check on the status of my refund only to be advised that because they were not able to intercept the delivery I would have to follow up with my bank. My bank is now saying that the transaction was authorized because B&H photo told them the item was delivered. I spoke with them today to let them know what my bank told me and the guy on the line said they can't do anything because they could not retrieve the item. I told him that one of their customers is a thief and that this person will continue to steal from consumers to purchase B&H Photo products because they make it too easy.

First visit to this store today. Went to purchase a backpack. Asked if a particular backpack was in stock and if I could take a look at such. The salesperson wrote up a sales ticket, asked me for my phone number (I declined), and sent me to the cashier to pay for it. I explained to the cashier that I just wanted to see the product. The cashier had to call a manager to cancel the order. Then the manager stood across from me at the counter while I took a look at the backpack. I was not allowed to walk away from the counter with it because she said that she had to return it to the stockroom if I didn't want it. This company aggressively pressures people into buying things. I will never purchase anything here. Ever. P.S. Why are uniformed NYPD officers performing security for this company?

I bought a phone which ended up not working properly, after calling customer service they told me to come in to the tech dept in their store so they can check it out. I had to travel all the way to the city to their store, 2 technicians checked out the phone and said that they can't fix it and I should return it for a refund. I returned the phone to them and didn't hear back from them. I had to call them daily and email them consistently for updates.
To make a long story short, they ended up returning the phone to me saying that they don't see anything wrong with the phone. I kept on telling them that their technicians checked out the phone in the store and confirmed that the phone is a damaged phone, but there was no one who would listen to me. Worse than that, when I opened the box they returned to me I found a phone with a cracked screen and guess what, once again there was no one that would listen to me and they just denied any wrongdoing from their side. After all that I'm advising everyone to stay away and not buy from them.

I have been to New York on April 2019. As I stayed to a friend’s house, I order from B&H via internet some equipment and then I visited the store (the last day of my staying to USA), in order to see some other items and decided there, which ones to buy. The total amount of my shopping was 550 USD. One thing that I wanted to buy from the store, was a tripod for my DSLR. So I went to this department and I met a Chinese man (I suppose), middle age. I saw him two tripods printed from their site, the first one costs 24.95 USD and the other one 34.95 USD. Both were (and are until now) in stock. I explained him that I wanted the taller and lighter tripod they had, in order to saw me and other tripods.
The guy probably was too bored to listen to me. So he gave me a ticket – receipt and told me “This is the best for you and cheaper (something that never asked for)…”. As I had a lot of things to buy and the store closed at 7:00 pm (we thought that it closed at 9:00 pm – our mistake…), I took the ticket and finally I went to the cashier to pay.
When I return to Greece (as we are leaving USA the next morning) I realize that the tripod was too short, heavier than the higher ones that I saw to that employee and costs 21.54 USD, i.e almost 3 USD less than the one that I had choose via internet. My fault was that I didn’t check the tripod when I was to N.Y. On the other hand, it was unacceptable to my mind that in a so big and famous store, an employee – I don’t know the reasons why – can deceive the customers, like the shop belongs to crooks. And all this for an amount of 21.54 USD, when I totally pay to this shops 546,77 USD!!! So I decided to communicate with the customer service of the store (via e-mail). I informed them about this mess (with every detail of my orders and the receipt from the shop).
As now the tripod is with me, in Greece and the cost of the international shipping is very high, I asked them if they could sent to my American friend’s house in USA (who had made the e-orders for me) the correct tripod, as she will be travelling to Greece for her holidays this summer and to send them back the useless tripod for me, by the beginning of September with her (after her returning to the US). They refuse to me this solution, by writing to me, that they cannot accept returns after “4-5 months(!!!)”. They probably didn’t recognize that it wasn’t my fault, but their employee fault!!! And I wonder, this tripod costs to me 21.54 USD. For sure, they bought it much cheaper. So for this amount of money, they prefer to “risk” their fame… I really didn’t expect this answer from them! Probably it was my fault that I trusted them!!! I will never do it again, as I travel often to USA. For sure, there are more stores like B&H and I hope they are more reliable!!!

NEVER buy with B&H photo and video. I ordered a product from them and after ordering received continual delays in shipment for TWO months! When they finally "sent" it, the product NEVER arrived! After peaceably trying to discuss with the company my situation, they REFUSED to refund me! I feel STOLEN from and not appreciated as a customer. Overall, POOR customer service and TERRIBLE company management. Do not go through them, or risk having your money disappear before your eyes and B&H just shrug their shoulders.

I purchased a kit, they sent me defective gear, I called in for a replacement. I have a gig due in 9 days... they were talking 2-3 weeks until I could get my replacement. I talked to a manager who was even more unhelpful, understanding or even listening for that matter. I wrote into their customer service who blew me off and basically made it sound like it was my fault they sent me defective gear. The overall feeling of the whole experience was disgusting. I ended up going through the manufacture for a warranty exchange when the device is brand new, I literally took it out of the box the day before I contacted customer service. In the future I'll spend a few more dollars and take my business to someone who takes care of their customers properly.

B&H refunded my purchase of an LG Oled after I bought it and discovered it $400 less at my local Best Buy 1 day later. My last 2 laptops I bought from B&H had to be sent in for repairs within 3 months of purchase so I can only imagine the problems a TV purchase from Brooklyn would result in. I contacted their shipper from NY all the way to Denver trying to get a stop ship. B&H REFUSED to stop ship. I finally stopped it in Denver.
B&H went out of their way to make sure I paid the RMA return of almost $400 to return. ABF even said B&H told them I wanted the delivery. In a nutshell I screwed up by biting on a price drop. But if you see a price drop on B&H I can attest that within 2-3 days you will see it for less elsewhere. If you are a good B&H customer through the years be prepared to take a purchase personally. They went out of their way to make sure I paid them almost exactly what I saved by putting my TV with a local store.

B&H Photo’s customer service is simply awful. I have purchased a ton of camera gear from B&H over the years. Never had an issue with the products or had a need to return an item, until now. Recently returned a product and B&H credited back the money to the wrong card. B&H admitted their mistake, saying they didn’t follow my request for store credit. Now the money is lost forever. B&H’s mistake has cost me a lot of money – and they simply refuse to own up to their mistake and do the right thing. I used to be a huge fan of B&H (as evidenced by all the camera gear I have purchased from them) – now their complete lack of customer service (when they are at fault) has turned me off for good.

Purchased Wacom graphics tablet and Epson scanner. Online, Expedited order. No delivery on expected arrival day. Called FedEx to track. Turns out B&H had my address wrong in their system. Called B&H multiple times. Couldn't get them to do anything to retrieve my shipment. Their only response was that it was my fault because I should have checked the order confirmation. True, but I have ordered from them multiple times before, and had no problems. Now I am out $595. Never ordering again from B&H. They are arrogant, and don't care about their customers.

Used Sony RX10 camera was in excellent condition. I took a chance on a used camera from B&H Photo and it worked out. The camera I bought was rated as condition 9, described as: "Shows signs of use, but very clean." Any signs of use are very hard to find and the camera works well. All parts shown as included in the manual were there. As for delivery, that worked too. I ordered on a Thurs. about one hour before B&H closed for a week & a half for Passover but they got the shipment out that day and it arrived in 5 days. I also bought several accessories (filters, spare battery, charger, etc.) and these arrived when promised and are all correct.

I accidentally gave an incorrect address to B&H. The package was delivered by FedEx to that incorrect address. FedEx said I needed to call B&H. B&H could then call FedEx and tag the delivery for re-delivery to my correct address. Sounds simple, right? One phone call, and FedEx was actually expecting it. But, no. Nope. B&H flat out refused to make the call. Instead, they opted to argue with me about it for approximately 20 minutes. 20 minutes of arguing that they wouldn’t make a three minute phone call. These people are not just wrong, they are jerks about it too. I will never shop B&H again.

I ordered a computer Chassis from this vendor, and it arrived broken. Bottom panel was all bent, the thing wouldn't stand upright without wobbling, and the internal plugs were bent, making it totally unusable. I've read from other people here that they sneakily re-package used products and label them as "new." Apparently, they also package broken products and label them as "new" as well. I will post a supplementary review when I get through the return process. DO NOT BUY FROM B&H. THEY ARE A TERRIBLE VENDOR.

Careful. Be VERY Careful and check over Each order.. They Re Sell Returns as "NEW" they repack, re shrink wrap, they kind of have an effective scam system going there.. I am a Long LONG TIME customer of theirs! I have had several purchases in the last year that are an obvious repackage! A few things downright used and abused sold as "NEW"!
As expensive DSLR cameras are, they do not come shrunk wrapped, neither do lenses (I buy Canon ).. I never, EVER risk buying a costly item here! I have called and was reassured that the serial number of my item purchased was never sold, I am the initial purchaser. Really, REALLY? As I send them pics of the POS they sent. "We would be willing to offer you a $50 discount if you would like to keep your purchase"... uhh NO!
I suspected this a few years back, the reselling/reboxing of a few purchases. But thought nah.. they are a reputable company! AND the past couple years, purchasing lighting, jibs, stands, tripods, DSLR bodies, lenses, mics, I have never had so many reasons to contact their Customer Support staff. Quite Honestly they don't seem to give a crap! Talk about a PITA. Just mail it back to us, allow processing time, we'll send you a replacement! (WEEKS, talking weeks) and I have had the same type of used garbage sent out, I have had needed items then out of stock, "on backorder".
If you are searching for an item, or they have a sale, a markdown for instance. Then the item is marked as "DISCONTINUED" and I have called and asked, so that's it? Not getting anymore? "Unfortunately not sir". Give it a week or so, when the returns come in, they repopulate on their website, ones, and twos. Suddenly available!!! They are USED RETURNS SOLD AS NEW!

I just can not believe that I’ve been calling, emailing, chatting with their customer service for a month now. For what? Just a pelican case that they sent me the wrong color twice!!! Imagine!? You buy a case, get the wrong item, return it, and get the SAME wrong item again!?! Even paid more because they charged me for tax and duties. So I paid tax 2 twice, kept the wrong item (because I couldn’t wait another week and deal with the return process) and they just keep saying sorry for any inconvenience! The very first thing in sales and marketing is “building a relationship with your clients.” It doesn’t matter how big your company is; it’s the customers that coming back to you. If you don’t offer them a good service, they won’t last that long.

I ordered an Apple Macbook Pro with the newer Mojave Operating System at a great sale price in mid-December 2018! This was to replace my previous Macbook that died after 6-1/2 years. Anyway, they sent me the a Macbook Pro with the OLDER HIGH SIERRA OPERATING SYSTEM!! When I realized and contacted them, they 1st told me that they can substitute ANY Mac OS... when I told them that their website is advertising this laptop, as well as all of the other MAC Pros with MOJAVE OP SYSTEM, they seemed surprised.
I directed the supervisor to the site and he saw himself that ALL of the Pros were advertised with the latest Mac Operating System! He then told me he would try to get the CORRECT OS from the vendor since I pointed out to him that MISREPRESENTATION is Against the Law! Anyway, he told me that NONE of their inventory... of ANY of their Pros were the Advertised Mojave Oper System!! Wow!! They sent me a replacement and assured me it was the correct computer... I received the REPLACEMENT and set it up, only to find out that is was the WRONG OPERATING SYSTEM AGAIN!!!!
TWICE they sent me the wrong computer! Then, they ignored me for weeks!! I returned the computer a second time and filed a dispute with my credit card. B&H had issued a PARTIAL CREDIT when they received the computer and refuse to fully credit my account. They told me they will not credit it since I filed a DISPUTE with my Credit Card Company!! They are AWFUL, AWFUL, AWFUL!! They IMMEDIATELY CHANGED THEIR ADVERTISEMENT to now just say Mac OS, but I have screen shots of what they advertised and I will notify CONSUMER AFFAIRS!! Do not buy from this company!!!

I purchased a Hikvision Camera on 28th February 2019. The description said Expected availability: 7-14 business days. After waiting for about 10 working I contact the company. Only to be told the manufacturer (in China? Who knows?) would ship the item on the 15th on April 2019. That’s after 31 working days. And how long it would take to reach me is anyone’s guess. I will avoid purchasing any drop ship items from this merchant.

I spent $688 for a Zhiyun-Tech Crane v2 Gimbal from B&H Photo Video... 18 months later & after only light use, it's dead! Disgusted at the response from B&H Photo Video. "Purchase a replacement." It's hardly been used!! Nearly 700 dollars & they expect me to buy another one!!! AVOID GIVING THIS COMPANY YOUR MONEY - #rippedoff #buyerbeware APPALLING CUSTOMER SERVICE.

This company is absolute garbage. If you need a return or customer support I strongly recommend finding something else... like Amazon. I am upset that I am writing this because I have used B&H and they have been helpful in the past. Unfortunately, I was sold a faulty Item that I received on Feb. 8th and was not aware it was faulty until I used it March 3. I ask them to return it March 6 and they can't help me. What a burn.

I ordered 3x Schneider 31mm slip-on lens caps back on 2018/11/23. I received one in short order. The other 2x were back ordered. About 6 weeks later, I received an email that the remaining 2x items had shipped. When they arrived, the box contained a sheet of bubble pack, a cash register receipt for 2x of the items, and nothing else. I contacted B&H customer service, and they indicated the missing items would ship immediately. I received this third shipment a few days later, a padded envelope this time. It contained 1x of the items, and another cash register receipt for 2x of the items.
My surmise is that B&H has people working for them who just can't be bothered. If they can't locate the items required for a shipment, they ship what they can find, or if necessary just ship an empty box. It is not worth it to me to chase B&H any further on this. I am going to let them stiff me for the $13.95 for the final item. From now on, I will source small items like this elsewhere. eBay often has a large selection of things like this used, and B&H has plenty of competitors.

Price matching policy is not clearly defined nor is it followed. Online customer service representative was rude and unresponsive. I've been a long time customer (over 9 years), and this is not "excellent" customer service B&H claims to have. Would've spent a lot more with them, but instead ordered as much as I could from the competitor instead. B&H lost over $1,000 in business because of this.

After a long research I have place an order of an entire telescope setup from B&H photo to the sum of 4800$. The package was supposed to be sent in 3-4 days. It took them over a MONTH to send it. I had to send them emails asking what's going on, call them every couple of days and each time I got the same response, "we are working on it and will ask for an update from our warehouse." They sent the package with DHL Express. dealing with DHL was a whole other terrible experience but that's not the issue here.
B&H split the shipment into 5 boxes in 2 separate shipments which I specifically asked not to do. it took 2 for the first shipment to arrive and 3 more days for the second one. when I opened the boxes I was so disappointed that I have spent so much money and waited for so long only to find out that the mount I ordered (2 part kit) was not correct. They sent me 2 pieces of the same item (!) and not 2 pieces of the kit. Instead of a mount head and a tripod, I got 2 mount heads.
I immediately called their terrible customer service again to report the problem and ask for a quick solution. I was asked to send pictures of the boxes and after I did I was told they will get back to me later that day. 3 weeks have gone without even a small update on the situation and today I got an RMA. Now they want me to pay for the return of the item they sent me by mistake and are not willing to send the tripod until I do so. Oh and of course they want me to pay for the delivery of the correct item!
By now 2 months have gone by and I still cannot use any of the equipment I paid for! The entire process was terrible, the customer service representatives are completely not cooperative and unwilling to help and show even the tiniest sympathy for a customer. I will never buy from them again and I strongly recommend you do the same. I regret not researching about B&H before and only about the equipment itself.

I purchased a Leupold binocular from them assuming that the quality would be amazing considering the price I purchased it for. Customer rep. also convinced me to go with this brand. However, after receiving and trying it for a couple of days, couldn't believe a product worth $300 would be such a bad product. Also, the surprising factor was the genuine consideration to go with the brand as suggested by their customer rep. It was a very bad mistake and I regret it. Here, comes the worst part. If I didn't like the product, I had to pay the return fee. I felt I was trapped the way they have mislead a lot of customers. *This is the Worst class Experience from a best in class store in NY.*

I have been a longtime customer with B&H because of their service. On February 9, 2019 I received a used lens with a defective lens hood. Chatting with customer service, I asked if this was consistent with their 8+ rating criteria. They immediately offered to send a replacement hood. Great, I thought. Done. A few minutes later they contacted me to say that they didn't have one in stock. I looked online but could not find the OEM hood and I didn't like the third-party options. Then I got another idea. I don't typically use lens hoods. I protect my lenses with filters. So I found a high quality B + W UV filter on B&H's website and asked if they were willing to send it instead of a hood. They didn't hesitate. It's on its way right now. That's how you do customer service!

This dispute has gone on forever and B&H has refused to refund my money on a Samsung Galaxy S9+ phone which cost me $699.00 which is no small change. I have all the proof of return as well as a documented call in which they agreed the phone was the wrong phone for the USA and that they'd accept the return and refund my money. That has not happened and it's 4 months after the return. I'm quite shocked being a commercial advertising photographer who has bought from them before and find this extremely dishonest, despicable and totally bad business. Thus, I'm warning all who chose to purchase from B&H Photo to beware as they've totally gone in a bad direction and like me, you could get burned.

After purchasing from B&H for the past 20 years I will no longer be a customer. B&H clearly doesn't care about the customer anymore. I ordered a 65" TV (Sony 65x900f) and unfortunately had to cancel immediately due to them playing games with the price. I was quoted a price on the phone and was charged more. After getting the confirmation email I called to correct the discrepancy and despite spending an hour speaking to customer service and sales, the mistake wasn't corrected. You shouldn't give a price then bill more, this is unethical and clearly B&H doesn't care about the customer. Shame, because they use to be a reputable company... Ten minutes later I ordered the same TV with another company for much less money.

First time buying from this company, and I had high hopes of good service since they're a well-known store. I should've read more about them. Apparently, they're good at everything else, except shipping their product on time. I found a fairly cheap telephoto lens from their app storefront, and ordered it with priority overnight shipping (next day morning) at 10-11am the day before, which is $60 extra. The next day, no package. Checked FedEx tracking, it's estimated to arrive the following day. So, I pretty much burned money for no reason. Amazon had better shipping service, even eBay private sellers do it better! Sure, it's my first time buying from B&H, and it will be the last as this first experience was bad. No one from their immaculate "customer service" tried to even contact me about this blatant mistake on their end.

His voice announced by its timbre and modulation that I was somehow interrupting his lunch break or whatever, simply by having the guts to intrude with a product inquiry. I have been using a Nikon D7000 and wanted to try the mirrorless full frame camera. The Sony A7II is amazing even with the kit lens. It captures color so accurately and feels great in the hand. Much easier to deal with than the Nikon, which was a very nice camera. I have not tried the adapters to use my Nikon lenses yet, but plan to down the road. Of course, they will have a crop factor, so I may just sell the old lenses and buy either new or refurbished ones after I have had time to learn the ins and outs of the Sony. B&H does an amazing job of being well stocked and quickly delivering orders. I use them for most electronic items and have been totally satisfied with their prices and their customer service.

I've been a long-time B&H customer. Over the holidays, I ordered two Apple computers, in a total of 4 orders. One order has yet to ship, and one of the computers was so poorly & hurriedly packaged, I was surprised it arrived intact. B&H disregarded my shipping requests altogether causing further inconvenience and delay during a busy season. The chat representative was arrogant and my subsequent inquiries to customer service were shuffled around, with no one taking a second look or even knowing what the issues were. No apparent ability to track problems from start to finish through their system and not enough interest on behalf of their customer. I am left with the conclusion the company simply does not care. Cannot recommend and will not shop here again.

First off, I never had a problem ordering from B&H in the past but there's always a first time. I needed an item quickly and B&H offered the item I needed with "Free Next Day Delivery" so I placed my order with them. I was shocked when the item was shipped via FedEx with an estimated delivery date 6 days out. I thought that maybe the shipper made the error, that is until I contacted B&H customer service. I requested a return since the day had passed when I needed the item and now I no longer needed it because I had to purchase a similar item locally. They granted a return but a shipping fee of $10.55 would be charged to me.
I again contacted them, explained that I was not responsible for paying for their error since their offer included the free next day delivery to which they responded that the offer included "Expedited" shipping which they fulfilled. My response to them also included a screenshot of the ad showing the "Free Next Day Delivery" promise which they must not have noticed. I responded, once again, my blood boiling, emphasizing the Free Next Day Delivery screenshot which I once again attached to the email. They must have realized that they were caught in their lie and finally sent a prepaid shipping label. I was so irate with the way I was treated and the lying tactics that they used that I told them that at that point I would just keep the item and relieve my frustrations by writing reviews on their unethical behavior. B&H, never again.

I wish I had read reviews before purchasing. This company is unethical. It has a deceptive return policy. I bought an Apple laptop computer on a Black Friday sale, and did so based on online information. I was not able to get into an actual Apple store. I carefully read the B&H policy which states that they honor a full refund for returns, unless the manufacturer’s shipping box was opened. When I received my Apple laptop, I opened the shipping carton. I wanted to see how heavy the product was as I needed a small lightweight computer. The computer itself was inside another shipping box, which was definitely NOT from the manufacturer. It clearly was not in a manufacturer's box. In fact, based on the return address label. It appeared to be from a different distributor... Nowhere on the box did it say Apple or have a logo of any kind or any indication as to what was inside that inner carton.
Consequently, I opened that carton and inside was the Apple product box with the computer insides. I did NOT open that box because I was cognizant of the return policy. At that time, I went to an Apple store and realized that computer did not suit my needs. When I called B&H, they claimed that since I had opened the inner box, the refund policy did not apply. They were polite, but uncooperative, even though I explained that I had not violated their rules of return. Even though the box that I opened clearly was not the manufacturer's box. And even though I intended to exchange the product for the one I actually needed, which actually was quite a bit more expensive than my original purchase. So they deducted 15% from my return item, which was several hundred dollars. I am furious and I intend to report them to anyone that I can.

I found this site on Cyber Monday and after shopping around thought the deal on a new iPad was good. It took a long time to come although first I got my "free" screen cleaning cloth under a separate delivery - kind of silly since I had to wait for the screen. The iPad was boxed like new but the screen had all these little dots where it was like the pixels were missing, lots of them and it was tolerable and then intolerable depending on the image on the screen. For $799 I was definitely in for something perfect.
Getting the RMA was easy. I sent back the defective iPad and was told 3-5 days to process the return and ship. OK. The following week I had not heard anything so I wrote them and was told it got there on 12/17 and would process and ship 3-5 days. Never heard a word, on the sixth day I asked and was told they were behind but then it would be another 3-5 days until it actually shipped.
Today 12/24 I got a confirmation of the ORDER and it says it will ship in 7-14 days. We will see if it shows up before I dispute the charge on my card. All communication has been initiated by me thus far other than today's ridiculous confirmation that staves me off for up to another TWO WEEKS. Thanks, B&H. Kinda hard to trust you when you are holding a bundle of my cash and I have nothing to show for it. Started this at the beginning of the month. This is why everyone freaking goes to Amazon. Lesson learned, trying to support an independent business.

I've ordered a number of items from B&H, including an entire camera system with lenses. Got a great deal on the bundle and it was delivered in days. The deal was so good that opted to buy from B&H instead of my own well known, local photography shop. B&H always has the best deals and you typically get free shipping and no taxes since it's an out of state purchase (for most). Yeah, I'm a B&H fan for life.

I ordered a TV on Cyber Monday. Item was backordered, but was given a date of Dec 1 that the item would be restocked and shipped out to me. On Dec 3, I emailed to confirm my item was either shipped or shipping soon. I was then told that they didn’t know when my TV would be back in stock. I waited a week and wrote again asking when might this TV be back in stock and again was given the “We don’t know” response.
That same day, I was given another date of Dec. 18 that it would be in stock and ready to ship and arrive in time for Christmas. I checked in with them and yet again was given the “We don’t know” response. I was able to check stock with other online retailers and local retailers where I learned they had this TV in stock. I cancelled my order and picked up the TV from Target. Will never ever buy another thing from this company. Their customer service is seriously lacking. “We don’t know” is not an acceptable response from a business who has already taken your money.

I ordered a tripod which arrived a week late -- a week after the head and some accessories. (First bad) A day before it arrived, I was told the order was recalled and another tripod dispatched, but in fact even after I called to say I got the first one and to tell FedEx not to deliver the second one, it was delivered anyway, so now I have to take to a Fedex office. (Second bad). The rep failed to explain a key point in matching the head to the tripod, resulting in my believing for a long time I got the wrong one. The rep, Patrick **, was not available when I called many times, which made things worse. (Third bad) When I finally got him, he solved the problem in five minutes. Bizarrely, I was not charged for the head, which arrived on time. I thought it would have been more appropriate not to charge for the tripod. Generally, I found B&H disorganized and inefficient.

Yeah, it said out of stock, but it would be shipped in 5-7 days. Now, after multiple emails, it MIGHT be shipped by the 21st, thus unlikely to be here by Christmas. But, when I looked online last week, they said it would be in stock and shipped the very next day. When I asked why my email said they were expecting a shipment on the 21st, and their website said next day, they played dumb. This company has some very shady business practices. In order to increase sales, they post expectations for ordered they can’t fulfill. If you have a high demand product, look elsewhere for it. Otherwise you are going to wait a very long time before your order is fulfilled.

I would like to begin by saying that customer service at B&H has been 5 stars. But, I have been waiting a week for an overnight guaranteed delivery. I keep being told it's coming and to take the day off of work. I have now lost three days of work, and they have lost the camera once. The second camera sat on tarmac for two days and was then flown past my house to the middle of the country. I was told I "will get an update on Monday, but it may be delivered then, so I should take that day off of work too. But it might be Tuesday. We really don't know what is going on." Three days of my life and wages that I will never get back. Christmas hangs in the balance, and the anxiety of not knowing if I am going to have anything for my son is truly zapping my Christmas spirit.
I wouldn't know if B&H products are good, but the star rating is for insisting on using FedEx. I have read through the reviews on here, and this is a consistent problem. If we can't get our orders, we can't leave you a favorable review. And if we lose an entire week's pay waiting for a $1200 camera that never shows up, it's really difficult to have a favorable opinion of your business. That camera has been kicked and thrown around by FedEx for days now. I can't even trust the condition now.
As I said, customer service was really friendly. But resending through FedEx after they "lost" this camera once, was a bad decision. Especially since they told B&H (when requesting for me to pick up instead of delivery) that they have security issues at their distribution center, and can't trust their employees to not steal. Ship with a different logistics company. I have never had a problem with UPS.

B&H did not help. The manufacturer (Philips) did finally replace the defective product. I'll give B&H another star because they do have good prices and quick shipping (if they actually have an item in stock; if not then all bets are off). But just know you'll be on your own after 30 days so make sure the product is from a reputable manufacturer who is willing and able to repair or replace your item should it fail under warranty.

I purchased from them a Philips digital audio recorder in August of this year. When it developed a problem with the LCD screen, I contacted the manufacturer. They confirmed it was defective and still under the one-year warranty, and instructed me to contact my retailer (B&H) for warranty replacement. I contacted B&H customer service and explained the situation, but they made no attempt at helping me, simply repeating over and over that their return policy is 30 days, and since I bought it more than 30 days ago, they would do nothing. Even though it is still under warranty, Further attempts to contact the manufacturer are also going unanswered. All I want is a recorder that works properly or my money refunded. At this point I would recommend not spending a single cent with B&H, and you probably ought not to buy any Philips products either, since they don't seem to be interested in honoring their warranty either.

This is a factually correct review. Don't do business with them. If there is any problem with your order it will not be solved for you. I ordered $1600 worth of video and audio product from B&H. Only 1/3 of the product arrived. They said there was a warehouse issue. They said they would overnight the rest of the product, never did. After calling again I got the same response, "we will overnight the rest of your order." Only one microphone showed up four days later. I have workers at my house that FedEx claims there was a signature from them. Why would you get a signature from a worker at my house?
This is now two weeks after the order should have arrived. B&H offered to file a claim on the missing microphone (why would two identical microphones be shipped separately?) two cameras, and supplies; the claim would take another week to file and another week after to ship out the product. I am out nearly $500 until that claim goes through... I am returning everything to which I will have to pay for a large box to ship back the items they actually sent. The customer service protocol put their profit line way before the customer. Amazon, Sweetwater, etc. do not operate this way.

I bought (amongst others) a well-known brand for a carry-on photography backpack. Its price (after special discount) was very attractive and I took advantage of that opportunity. Living outside of the US, generally, I prefer to buy this kind of items, personally, at B&H facilities in NYC but, this time, I ordered it while I was traveling in New Mexico. The shipment arrived there on time, as promised and I also was confident that, if needed, I could return it/exchange for other backpack I was considering as an alternative.

Let the buyer beware! BH Photo sold me a Galaxy S7 phone in Dec. 2015. as an international phone. I paid over $700.00 for the phone. BH Photo never appraised me that the phone could not be serviced in any way in the United States because it is too different, especially the battery. I found that out myself when I tried to have the battery replaced before it needed to be around Thanksgiving, 2018. Some International Phones can be repaired in the U.S. but not this one, according to Samsung.
Samsung, which may also be at fault for lack of standardization, told me to get the wholesale purchase number from BH Photo to see where I might be able to send the phone in Vietnam, where it was made. BH Photo said that they no longer sell the phone and don't have the number. BH Photo said they warrantied this item for one year, but no longer have batteries or parts. The Tech Rep I spoke to there said, "What do expect, they stopped production of the Samsung S7 last year?", as if that absolves BH Photo. There is currently nothing wrong with the phone, but apparently I will unable to replace the battery or fix anything else that goes wrong with the phone. DO NOT buy a phone at BH Photo!

Do not use this company. They will ship you broken merchandise and refuse to replace or repair. B&H shipped me a 65" TV with a shattered screen. They have declined to replace due to physical damage (duh). There are better retailers everywhere with similar pricing that wont attempt to steal your money. STAY AWAY FROM B&H PHOTO!

They charged me $1500 for a camera and never sent it. I received a package with a $10 battery. And a receipt for the whole order. I called and waited for 30 mins for someone to tell me it would arrive later on a different truck. I continued to wait all day (signature required) despite FedEx saying it never shipped. Took another day off of work. I call B&H again because they told me they couldn't do anything unless it didn't show yesterday. Now they say FedEx lost the package. They will send another. I can't take a third day off of work for this nonsense. FedEx says they never received it. B&H insists they did. I'm out two days' pay, and still don't have my son's Christmas present. I have all the accessories I ordered from other sellers, but no body or lens. And I lost a pretty big paycheck this week that I can't get back.
It's been a rough year. And I was really looking forward to giving this gift. I know it's not about material gifts. But giving my soon-to-be adult son such an expensive camera, shows that I believe in him. It was an investment in him, and a financial sacrifice for me, especially this year. But he is starting an internship in February, so it was important. Save yourself the headache and just buy it from Amazon or Best Buy. I tried to do the right thing by not supporting the monopoly, and I got burned. Same price elsewhere, with reliable arrival. I really wanted it to work out with them. They had such good reviews. This was to be my son’s first camera. We were just getting started with the D7200.

The headphones were very well priced, far below the usual. They are designed for use during activities and are held on the outside of the ear canal by a band that goes around the back of your head. They stay in place and are comfortable. The sound is good and for safety they do not block all the sounds around you, although I would not recommend any earphones for biking outside. The order was promptly shipped and arrived quickly.

This has been a nightmare. They promised online on practically every product expedited shipping. However my package left on Wednesday December 5th 2018 at 10:30 am with the shipping guarantee expedited (2 day). But yet it is not been delivered when checked Friday 12/7/18 morning online for updated status and the delivery date had been changed to 12/10/18 Monday therefore making it 6 days from 12/4/18 Tuesday when first ordered. When contacting support at B&H Photo customer service 800 number I was told over and over and over that it was shipped on 12/5/18 Wednesday which I already knew from checking the tracking information online myself. And upon telling the service representative I already knew that and was wanting to know why it wasn't being delivered within 2 days shipping guarantee he said that he couldn't do anything about it. So I spoke to a supervisor who mirrored the 1st support tech and refused to do anything.
So upon calling the shipping company (FedEx) soon as I got no assistance or help from B&H Photo they explained it was NEVER BEEN SHIPPED THE ADVERTISED SERVICE BUT IT WAS SHIPPED GROUND (cheaper 5-7 day delivery - NOT EXPEDITED as B&H Photo said or as advertised on the website. And I worked it out with FedEx over the phone to be delivered 12/8/18 Saturday in the evening. That was with NO HELP FROM B&H PHOTO. And upon receiving the package on Saturday 12/8/18 - it was shipped from B&H PHOTO GROUND (5-7 days) the way B&H Photo customer service said it was not and certainly not the expedited advertised on their website.
So the only mistake was from B&H PHOTO by shipping it a slower and cheaper service. Then they lied about it to me when calling for help which again they would not help do anything even though I needed before Saturday which didn't happen. So if you want to order from B&H PHOTO prepare to wait however long it takes for slowest cheaper delivery takes to get to your house. And don't bother calling customer service because they will not help you and in fact lie to you about whatever it is you're calling about. Most importantly if you want something they sell - some other company sells it as well and you probably won't be lied to and will have it when promised. BOTTOM LINE DO NOT ORDER FROM B&H PHOTO. DO NOT!!! DO NOT!!!

My experience with this company was poor from the start though I didn't know it until the product arrived... the wrong product and restocking fees and poor customer service. 1. When ordering the interface to PayPal kept failing causing me to start the process over and over. Four times it took and in the end the wrong product was ordered. 2. The information in the confirmations sent to me never gave a complete description of the computer configuration so I didn't know it until the product arrived at my daughter's house and she opened it that it wasn't an i7. The label on the outside of the box did not say it was an i5. 3. When I called B&H support they said I should have received an invoice showing me the configuration when I ordered; I never got one. All emails showed the product number but no confirmation of the computer's configuration.
4. When I escalated to "Benji" B&H claimed it was my fault since I could have typed the product number into their site. My response is why not show the actual config in my order information where I can correct the problem immediately. I cannot trust their product numbering system. 5. And they want a restocking fee since the computer was opened. 6. I asked for the fee to be waived so I could return it and get the product I thought I ordered. Benji told me my logic was faulty. It's not faulty to get some sort of confirmation of the computer configuration that you ordered to be sure you're getting the correct item. He said if I click on the part number it would take me to a description... he knows his website. Well the part number is greyed out. You can't click through. Then he said, "Well everyone knows you can cut and paste the number to see the configuration." Not true and RUDE.
7. He wouldn't give me the name and contact of his supervisor. 8. IT'S A SCAM ---TO GIVE YOU A PRODUCT YOU MAY NOT HAVE ORDERED. Not providing enough details to identify the computer configuration. LEAVING THE CONSUMER TO FIDDLE WITH THEIR WEBSITE. 9. The label on the outside does not state that it is an i5 processor and I took pictures to send to them. It's unlikely to help. At this point in time the computer I wanted to buy my daughter, an I7, is about $1000 more with the additional costs for shipping and restocking than it was a week ago when I ordered the gift. I'll never use this vendor ever again and I recommend you don't either.

The customer service rep. was very quiet and unconcerned which resulted in cancellation of my order which he was able to do without question or attempt to resolve before the call ended. They advertise many good deals. But they are incapable of delivering on them. They make promises on prompt shipping, and then they blame, "high volume", "warehouse problems". They charge the credit card but do not ship for days, and when you cancel, they need 5 business days to refund - sounds like kiting. They used to be a good vendor a while back. Their unfair competitive advantage of not collecting tax for out of state sales is disappearing due to court rulings. The warehouse workers have reported labor disputes and lawsuits. I wonder if they can survive the competition of better online suppliers such as Amazon. I for one, will avoid them form this point forward.

I live in Los Angeles and according to the expedited shipping map on their site if I purchase an item with expedited shipping the shipping time will be 3 business days. Every item I’ve purchased that has qualified for expedited shipping has taken 4 business days in transit minimum. Furthermore no matter what carrier they use shipping is indicated as standard shipping from the carrier. This is false advertising as they enter a contract when they state that I will receive a higher tier of shipping if I purchased the qualifying item.

I have spent thousands of dollars on camera gear at B&H Photo but you wouldn't know it the way they treat me. B&H employees know they are the superior dealers so they don't fight for your business and therefore there is no such thing as customer loyalty to them. I have been ripped off on their shipping fees and had several emails ignored. The customer service guys are half-wit hipsters who'll give you a smart answer even when you're asking reasonable questions. Super snobs and not willing to help. Just putting in their 9-5. They lost a $15 000 purchase from me to Henry's in Toronto because of this kind of stuff. I try really hard not to give them my business. If I knew of legitimate options out there for pro camera equipment, B&H would be completely off my radar. Coming from a family of business, I can tell you, I know how to look after a customer and how to keep them coming back. B&H needs to start looking after their LOYAL CUSTOMERS!

I am a long-time B&H customer who bought Adobe Lightroom 6 (DVD) based on expert advice from B&H that it would process RAW from a Nikon d7500. It does not. Since the box had to be unsealed, in order to try it, they will not take it back and I am simply out the money. They do not stand behind their own "expertise".

I made an order for a camera on Thursday. Chose 1 day shipping after calling the next day to confirm that you get my order. By Saturday they told me, "No. It will arrive Monday!!!" Best Buy would have guaranteed a Saturday delivery. Very disappointing. Not impressed for first time order.

I've made three purchases over a 3 year period before I learned my lesson. The purchases are one for Sony Cybershot camera, one for a video recorder, and recently for a waterproof sports camera. The Sony Cybershot had a lot of technical problems and would not transfer shots to my Mac computer but once past the warranty there is nothing anyone can do. The video recorder stopped working after 7 months but once past the warranty there is nothing anyone can do, and now recently the waterproof sports camera didn't work right out of the box. I tried to take it back and they were always closed but later found out the very odd closed for business days were for I believe Orthodox Jewish holidays.
I tried again to return the camera where they said it was several weeks past the 30 day return policy and after adding up all the days they were closed, I was 5 days past the return policy. Know that they observe the 30 days to the letter and I was abruptly turned away with a, "Too bad. Contact the manufacturer." I contacted the manufacturer who said contact B&H because they can't issue a refund since they didn't sell me the camera. Buyer beware. I will not make any more purchases from B&H. I understand sales and return clerks may not like their jobs, but they are too curt and icy for my hard earned $$$.

Working with one of their people for a home security system. Rep suggested cameras, NVR, and switch to make system work together. Put up initial system with 4 cameras, all worked well. Ordered the remaining 3 cameras, installed and tried to add to system. System responds that I am missing licenses. Now I'm stuck spending hundreds more that I was not told I would have to. Had the rep told me that I would have asked about other options. I found another NVR that would have worked for less money total. As the other NVR had the PoE switch build in. What kind of customer service is this?
I already spent over $1100 now to find out that it'll cost hundreds more. So their so called experts either only care about making money for B&H, they don't know their products or don't care about customer service. Sent an email from their website to what I thought was customer service. The reply said, "Sorry for the miscommunication." Failing to tell the customer pertinent information about the products is now a miscommunication. Tried again to customer service and no reply. As of now I will not buy from B&H again.

They have a huge inventory and selection, decent customer service and support, and reliable follow through on every purchase. I've never had a major issue and I'll continue to trust them with expensive retail purchases.

I bought two SSD's online at B&H, both 1 TB capacity, B&H sent me one 1 TB and one 512 GB. I upgrade computers and I promised the client I would have his machine ready in 5 days. Due to B&H error I have lost my client because I had to send the disk back to B&H and wait for them to receive it before they send me the correct one. My client needed his computer for the day I promised it and because of this delay caused by B&H I could not deliver on time. No compensation of any kind for this error they made, really a bad experience for me, I lost a client for the error they made and of course they don't care.

Ordered a mobile phone from B&H 22 months ago - the Nexus 5X. The phone became inoperable the other day due to a very common problem called a "bootloop." I saw that the manufacturer (LG) had extended their warranty from 12 months to 30 months for that specific problem at no charge. However, I came to find that the model phone I purchased from B&H was an international version and LG would not honor warranties.
On their sales page they do state that it is an international version (if you scroll down and read everything), but they also don't explicitly state that it isn't covered by LG's warranty. It just says there is a 12 month B&H warranty. I find that highly misleading, especially considering I wanted to purchase a common US phone in good faith assuming it was like the phone everyone else was purchasing.
So to sum up, B&H did not state that LG's warranty would be invalid on this phone, so I am now in a position to have to completely buy a new phone. B&H also was not willing to match LG's warranty extension for a problem that is extremely widespread on this Nexus 5X model. To me, that's the opposite of customer service, and they will no longer receive my business.

Usually, I have had a very good selling experience but this time I got a quote for slightly over $2K for excellent photography equipment. Now I have repeatedly sent emails, they tell me they're investigating but NO CHECK. They have probably sold the camera and lens at a significant profit and I still have not been paid. Their holidays have interfered with their work, but that's no excuse. Sellers MUST BE PAID IN A TIMELY FASHION.

I've returned an item to B&H almost a month ago; the item was a Canon lens I've not used AT ALL, just opened the box and that's it. Didn't even mount it on my camera. The package was delivered and signed for on the 26th of September, and even though I've emailed them about 3 times now, I haven't received my refund, nor do the order details state that they've received the item. Luckily, I have proof of them signing for it. Disappointed to say the least. I've purchased another lens quickly after the first one, but needless to say I will not buy from them ever again.

I ordered a new Nikon camera body. On receiving and opening the shipping box I find a damaged dirty product box and sensor. I initially contact BH to question them on the item as it was clear that the product was new as listed. "Was it previously sold and returned?" I am assured that I am the only ever owner. I decide to keep item as it looks to be fine but find in use that this new product needs the sensor cleaned. I contact BH once again and they tell me to clean the sensor. I contact again to get their recommended procedure for cleaning sensors on new cameras and am told that I should not have to clean sensor and can return or sent for warranty service to Nikon. I return due to the initially question that I was sent a previously sold and returned item. I am a month and a half into this process and have still have not had this resolved. How much longer can this go on?

I’m a wedding photographer, & recently out of nowhere my flash stopped working. So I needed to quickly order a new flash for an upcoming wedding, with expedited shipping. It’s now the day it’s supposed to be here, & it still hasn’t even shipped yet. The wedding’s on Saturday, and all customer service could tell me is that it will be here sometime next week. I’m now out of a flash for this wedding, when I’m relying on photographing weddings to pay the bills. They’re quick to have already taken the money out of my account, but can’t even hold true to their word & ship it on time. Their prices are awesome, but not worth the stress. If you have the choice, go with Amazon Prime.

I write this review on 4 Oct 18 in respect of an purchase order made with B&H on 3 Sep 18 for shipping camera accessories to Hong Kong. Nobody could probably imagine that the accessories have not yet delivered and I still do not know if I would receive them. Of course, B&H has already charged me. The followings are sequences of events supported by order record and email correspondences in my possession: 3 Sep 18 - order made at B&H for shipping the accessories to Hong Kong via DHL. 8 Sep 18 - the package (i.e. the accessories) stopped moving as shown by DHL online tracking with last location at Germany.
17 Sep 18 - it was 10th day after the accessories stopped moving, I emailed B&H for their assistance. B&H took no initiative to check with DHL and merely replied me that the package should be on their way. 21 Sep 18 - no movement of the package, and B&H closed until 3 Oct 18. Whereas my emails to B&H resulting in responses like "please email again on 3 Oct 18", the computer system of B&H sent me an email inviting me to review the accessories.
From 20 Sep 18 to 2 Oct 18 - I had contacts with DHL and post office of Hong Kong, resulting in written correspondences suggesting the loss of the package. 3 Oct 18 - I forwarded the aforesaid correspondences to B&H with requests including the reshipment of the accessories. Without any legal basis, B&H kept delaying such legitimate request on the excuse that they need to finish the claim with DHL. B&H could not answer the question why the customer should suffer from the dealing between them and the courier.

I wrote my first review on September 1, 2018. What a lot of you may not know is the entire month of September is like navigating a minefield of religious holidays. So if you have a problem, you are kinda SOL. I ordered my item August 24th. FedEx drove past my house on August 31th. I picked it up from Walgreens on Friday the 1st only to discover it was delivered in pieces. Had to wait 3 days to talk to someone. Finally sent my return the day after Labor Day on September 4th. Henry ** in their customer service department exchanged several offers and count offers. His first offer was a return and exchange or full refund if I PAY THEM $150 to RESTOCK A BROKEN PRODUCT. I said no, we finally agreed on store credit.
They received my return on Wednesday the 13th because of course they were off on the 10th and 11th. I sent an email asking if it was processed, they said unfortunately it has not been processed. That was on Friday the 12th, I asked would it be done before their next holiday from September 18th-20th? They said, "Yes, it will be processed before our next holiday closure." I emailed them yesterday, and asked again. Now they are say it will definitely be processed before their next closure on 9/24. Keep in mind folks that 18th and 19th they are closed. The 20th is a full day, the 21st is a half day, the 22nd they are closed, the 23rd is a half day and they are closed from September 24th - October 2nd.
So tomorrow is the last day for them to process my return. Before I'm looking at a mid October delivery of a replacement product. Even if by some modern day miracle my refund is processed tomorrow I still would not have my new order processed UNTIL the 20th. Which means they would have to process and ship before they close early on Friday, before I have to wait all the way until October 2nd for them to ship. September 24th will be 4 weeks, after October 2nd I am looking at nearly 6 weeks to see any sort of resolution to this. This is a pretty important piece of equipment I bought and now BH is costing me money.
Moral of the story NEVER EVER ORDER from this TERRIBLE company. Convoluted return policy. Never ending holiday schedule. Obscure not west coast friendly hours. FedEx takes their sweet time. This has been a freaking nightmare. Buy from Amazon. 2 day shipping, on the ball customer service and employees who actually care about the customer. Instead of just saying sorry a million times, Amazon finds solutions. BH just creates more problems. They need to be better. But I truly hope for all my fellow professionals out there, that you never entrust your business needs to a company that puts you dead last.

I called them to find out if Nikon AF-S DX Nikkor 16-80mm f/2.8-4E ED VR lens is compatible to the Nikon D90. After the B&H rep put me on hold to obtain a confirmation, he returned with a definitive "Yes". I placed an order for the lens immediately. Subsequently, my friend sent me an advise directly from Nikon and an article from PC Mag, both indicating that the lens is NOT compatible to the D90. I immediately called B&H back, but was told that the item has shipped. 2 weeks now have passed since they charged my credit card and received the lens, returned, and I still have not received a credit. What has happened to the B&H that I have been loyal to for decades????

Back in the early 80s, I ordered Nikon camera and lenses from B&H Photo because they were top rated by Popular Photography Magazine. So deciding to get back into photography again, I remembered the fantastic service I had back in the 80s. So when I was looking for a Nikon D7500 and lenses, I saw that B&H was still in business. I used their website to order my new camera. It was a simple process. Their prices are great and since I was ordering a bundle, I received a case and 32GB SD card for free. Along with free next day FedEx shipping. I am completely satisfied with the service I received and will definitely order from them again. Wonderful job guys.

I've been a customers of B&H Photo for almost 2 decades. These days shipping and returns and with what Amazon and Walmart and other companies offer, they should try and keep up. Unfortunately that's not the case. It was a nightmare trying to return something. Keep in mind if this is what they do to a customer with 2 decades of 10s of 1000s of $s of shopping with them, what they would do to others. It's all nice and dandy when you've no returns. But once you get there, they will try and ignore you and give all sorts of excuse. To begin with they sold a crappy product and we were so annoyed esp, because we were on vacation in NY and decided to visit the store and purchase the product. The product wasn't working properly after few weeks. We tried to call them for return, and they refused to accept a damaged product just because we were missing the original box!!!
WTF! It's damaged! Either you're going to throw it away or send it back to the manufacturer and they surely don't care about the box. They had literally no concern at all. When I got here on ConsumerAffairs to review, I saw many had the same issues. They still haven't caught up with the online shopping style of Amazon, Walmart and many others. Such disrespect and don't care attitude. We will never ever shop at B&H Photo again. We can find everything somewhere else these days with excellent return policies. They should seriously change their return policies and how they treat customers or soon encounter slow online death of their business!

As many other reviewers have noticed in an age where customer service should be a given, think Amazon, Walmart, etc. B&H has just abysmal customer service. I ordered a $400 sound bar and received a $20 tripod. It's been a week so far and I have made no progress getting this returned. They say I will eventually get a FedEx return tag but no details as to when but the also say that I have to close my PayPal complaint before they will consider processing a refund. Many others on here have stated that B&H is a fraudulent company and so far I have to agree. There is no reason to shop here, their customer service department is just a scam.

Today started out as such a happy and exciting day. My laptop that I ordered with overnight shipping was to arrive - hurray! As soon as I got it, I excitedly opened the package, only to discover that the 13" is way too small for my needs. I immediately contacted customer service to process my exchange for the exact same laptop, just the 15" version (which is more expensive). To my surprise, I was met with an unhelpful customer service agent who could only apologize for the inconvenience that my $2500 Macbook was non-returnable since I opened it. The thin sliver of plastic wrap has cost me $2500. I literally did not even open the laptop or turn it on. I simply wanted to exchange a brand new item for an upgraded version.
After escalating to another manager and eventually supposedly a PR executive, I was harassed and talked down to. It turns out, this company has a history of racism and discrimination against Hispanics and women. Coincidence? I just happen to be both. I am appalled that a business thinks it's ok to treat customers the way I was treated today. The final result was that I could return it for a 15% restocking fee, which comes to a whopping $360. I think I'm better off turning to Craigslist. All in all, this is by far the worst experience I've had shopping online in my life. The discounts are not worth the hassle. I promise you're better off buying from literally anywhere else.

Do I have a problem with B&H as a whole? Not exactly. Here is the problem, I usually purchase through Amazon for all my business needs. Free 2 day prime shipping, expanded customer service hours and most of the time the deal is right. Well I made the mistake of ordering through B&H because they had an item at the right price and it was in stock.
First of all, it ships from New York so straight out of the gate I am already looking at best it taking twice as long to get to me than Prime. It finally arrived BUT FedEx claimed that no one was home, my husband was. In fact it was his day off and he was waiting around for my package. Because unlike UPS FedEx demands a signature. So I signed up for FedEx pick up at the local Walgreens and I picked it up the next day. This is on Friday. I got it home, opened the box, popped open the case and I discovered that the expensive item I purchased was broken clean in half!!
Now I understand things happen. But the problem is that B&H operates on East Coast Bankers hours. They close at 2PM! TWO! IN THE AFTERNOON ON A FRIDAY!!! Which means if you have an issue on Friday on the West Coast you are ** out of luck! I sent them emails, wrote them on social media, made a couple un-boxing failure videos that I tagged them and Came-TV in. I have done everything a consumer can do because all I want is a resolution. I cannot get this resolved because they are open when they dang well feel like being open. I operate 24-7. I manage other companies' Social Media pages. I know that I am personally held accountable to respond to customers within a certain frame. Actually, the company I work for gets slapped with huge fines from corporate if we do not respond in a certain amount of time.
With that being said, I am looking at 24hrs so far and ZERO contact from Came-TV or B&H. So not only did I receive an inferior product that arrived broken, I also have no way of getting this resolved until they feel like opening again. Which is tomorrow. I could have gotten an apology, returned the product and have a replacement shipped by now from Amazon. Lesson here? Do not purchase from B&H. They do not have the customer support to compete with Amazon. Period.

I buy all my Apple products here. Same price and free shipping as ordering direct from Apple, but without sales tax. (Not yet anyway.) When my state starts charging sales tax, I’ll probably go back to buying refurbished products directly from Apple. One word of caution when buying any expensive products online — Be certain you order exactly what you want. Replacing damaged products is usually no problem, but if you order the wrong item by mistake, someone has to pay for that. If you’re buying an Apple product, and you’re not absolutely certain about your purchase, I suggest buying directly from Apple. They have a very liberal return policy. You can even return items directly to Apple Stores as long as you purchased them directly from Apple. I’ve bought several high priced items from B&H over the years, and saved hundreds in sales tax.

I'm done with B&H. Two times I've ordered a lens from them with their free expedited shipping option with a 3 business day guarantee and both times they were shipped FedEx Ground from New York to Los Angeles and received it in 5 business days. Why even have an expedited option if they’re not even going to ship it expedited. It's absolutely ridiculous. I'll take my money elsewhere to a company who is honest and doesn't bait & switch their customers.

I purchased an unlocked cell phone; when I received it, it was locked. I made many phone calls to B&H, Motorola, Sprint, etc. to find it was locked. B&H photo said, "Sorry, we don't have any more in that color and the other color is more money." I asked if they could send the exact same phone in any color for the same price and they said there is "nothing we can do about it". I said, "But there is something you can do about it," since I would not be in this situation if they had not sent the wrong locked phone in the first place. You can stand up to your reputation and fix it instead of trying to make me spend more money or find another phone. Bad experience.

My experiences with them dating back to the '80's has been superb. I ordered a Sigma 16mm lens through B&H on July 27 2018 in hopes to receive it by the next day being that I reside in Brooklyn, NY and B&H is in New York, NY. Today is now August 2 2018 and my package hasn’t shipped yet. I've made several calls (1 per day for four days) to only be told that my package will ship later on that day. Well it’s six days later and still my package hasn’t shipped. The lens was and is still in stock but somehow no one can give me an explanation to why my package hasn’t shipped. I’ve been patient and professional with all calls made to B&H but being told one thing and experiencing the total opposite is a bit upsetting. The only thing left is to cancel the order and take my business elsewhere.

Ordered a Canon Selphy printer, paper, and an extra USB cord. Huge letters on website - next day delivery on Wednesday. Great - going on vacation Thursday so I ordered it. At 6am it said out for delivery. When delivered in the afternoon cord only - no printer no paper. Looked at tracking - now shows delivery on Thursday and the printer was in NJ at 7:30 am not shipped not out for delivery. Spoke to BH - they said it was a FedEx mistake - no it wasn’t. It was in your warehouse on delivery day 2 states away. Rep says, "We are sorry." That’s it. Deceptive shipping dates, customer service that can easily lie to you. This used to be a good company but right now it sucks. Read the other complaints - they are all very similar. Beware! I am always trying to use small businesses but losers like this make me want to go back to Amazon. Thanks a lot B&H.

B&H is used to be very respected store. So, when I decided to by Nikon D850 I went there. Well, I had to wait 2 months to get the item. Meanwhile, friends of mine who ordered from Amazon or Adorama got it in couple of weeks. Anyway, I was loyal customer and waited. Finally, after 2 months of waiting I got the package. Hallelujah. However, when I open it I got surprise. Wrong camera. Not even close. I called customer support and they said "Sorry, for mistake. However, Nikon D850 not in stock anymore."

Recently purchased some accessories for a camera that is on backorder. Had the accessories shipped to my home and realized I had received 3 memory cards instead of the 1 that I had ordered. The memory cards cost $229 each. I contacted B&H and explained that I had received extra merchandise. I also explained that legally I did not have to return the extra items that were sent to my home. I was being honest and was trying to do the right thing. The customer service rep emailed me a packing slip for FedEx and told me to drop the return package off at any FedEx location. I refused because I did not make the mistake and I wasn't about to go out of my way for them. I requested that they send out a package for me to put the items in and I could place in my mailbox to be shipped through the USPS. I was told that was not possible.
I was then asked by the rep if I could maybe flag a FedEx driver down in front of my house someday and give them the package. Yes, he seriously asked me this. I refused to agree to do such a thing. We ended the conversation by the rep telling me to send the package back whenever I get a chance... even if it takes me 3 months or more. So I hung up the phone and called back to speak with another customer service rep. Explained my situation. He asked to place my call on hold. I waited. He came back and told me that I would have to make arrangements with FedEx to come pick up the package at my home.
I was not happy with the way the customer service reps handled this situation. I did not mind placing the box into my mailbox to return their items but I refused to put out any effort to correct their mistake for them with FedEx. That's their job not mine. I have learned from this experience that it certainly does NOT pay to be honest with B&H. It would have been easier for me to keep the $460 worth of items they accidentally sent to me but I'm too honest. The rep even told me they would never have known I had received the items. They were not listed on my order form.
Do you know what I received from B&H for being honest and letting them know they sent me extra items? Nothing. Instead I had to drive 8 miles to the local FedEx drop off to send their package back to them. That's the thanks I get for being a B&H customer for the past 25+ years. I've spent many thousands and still have a camera on backorder worth a few more... B&H made me feel like a valued customer... they even let me do their job for them.

I live in a rural location so I have used B&H for several years. I used to be very satisfied with them, but things have gone downhill. I ordered a lens, paid for two day shipping and received it on time. However the lens was soft, so I returned it and the filter I had ordered for it. The order was received last Friday at 10:27am at their facility according to my tracking slip. So far my account does not show it was even received 4 business days later.
I contacted them via live chat yesterday and was told they would look into it. I checked back later and was told (and I have the chat transcript) that we had "spoken" earlier and that checking every few hours was not going to speed things up"! I had additional questions I was going to ask, but after that I simply told him there was no need to be snarky and ended the chat. Also, even though the lens was soft (I tried on two different bodies) I still had to pay return shipping. It will be my last order with them mainly because of the CS agent attitude. Sorry if I bothered someone who is supposedly there to help me...

This computer (CyberPowerPC) is amazing. Starts right up, quick and easy to use. I have no problem with the computer itself and I would recommend this to anyone. Mouse and keyboard feels so good to your hands, they are both fantastic.

Placed an order on Wednesday morning for Next Day Air early AM. This was a present for my kid's birthday on Sunday. Figured, if something would go wrong, I would have time to reorder. Every item was in stock. Next day only memory card arrives out of entire order. I call customer support and they assure me that it was shipped, tracking information is not updated, and it will be probably delivered later same day. Couple hours later, surprisingly tracking number gets updated and order leaves the NJ warehouses. On Friday nothing gets delivered, to be fair that one was FedEx fault. I call customer support explain everything, and they assured me a replacement would be sent and delivered on Saturday.
Plus I asked to ship it to Home since it was Saturday. Comes Saturday, nothing. I spend hour and half driving by to work, thought maybe they shipped it there, but nothing. I come back home, nothing there. I check tracking number for replacement, still shows up being packed. The order was suppose to arrive 3 days ago, and now if they actually ship it on Monday, it will arrive on Tuesday almost full week. Birthday was of course ruined, altogether with BH and FedEx spent about 2 hours on chat and phone trying to resolve the problem.
And at the end got nothing delivered. BH customer support blamed everything on FedEx, and I would believe that FedEx made some mistake. But TWO orders in a row with NextDay Air early AM delivery, dont get delivered on time!!! In both cases orders would show up (on BH website) still being packed next day, instead of being on FedEx truck out for delivery. So don’t really buy this being all the FedEx fault. So if you are getting something that you need urgently and guaranteed, stick with Amazon.

I ordered a gift of a guitar case but was unaware until just over the 30 day limit for returns, that it is the wrong size. I tried to exchange it for the correct size but they will not allow me to. What am I supposed to do with the wrong size guitar case? I will NEVER purchase from them again or suggest anyone else does. What happened to customer courtesy?

I purchased a Canon imageprograf Pro 4000s 44 inch large format inkjet printer from B&H; when I placed the order on June 25th 2018 there was a $800 rebate from Canon redeemable within 30 days after the purchase date. I also ordered accessories for the printer, and when I checked the status of the order a week later I found out that the printer was not shipped with the accessories so I contacted customer service. They explained to me that the printer was in back order and they would contact me within 48 hours; I received an email from B&H 10 days after I placed the order saying that unfortunately they don't have an expected delivery date as the printer is backordered by the manufacturer.
However, when I go to their website B&H is advertising that the availability of this printer is within 1 to 3 days. I don't think I will be getting my printer in time to claim my $800 rebate and since I don't have the serial number there is nothing I could do, for that reason I will cancel my order and return the accessories. Please don't buy anything from B&H unless you're willing to waste time and money when attempting to return items you can't use, this a nightmare I don't wish to anyone. I should have paid attention to the reviews.

I purchased an online download for Adobe software. I purchased the wrong software and it will not run on my system. I talked to B&H and was informed that once a download link was emailed there was no returns. I can't use this software. It will not run and is not compatible with my system. I paid almost $80.00 for this and they will not return my money. I have purchased other items from B&H and not had any trouble, but this is a greedy company that makes money off a person that made an honest mistake. I will never purchase anything from B&H again. I am sure they get taken by people at times. But when I cannot even run the software there should be some way to refund the purchase price. This is not customer service in my world. You will pay for this in the long run. Karma has a way of coming to visit companies like yours.

I recently bought a musical instrument from B&H and I also bought the suggested carry case for the instrument on the B&H website. When the order was complete I was notified that the case was a special order and would take longer to arrive. When it finally did, it was for a larger instrument. I emailed the returns department and was told because it was a special order, I would need to pay a 20% restocking fee. I agreed to this payment and then in the follow up email I was then told I would also need to pay for the shipping which was a further 10% of the overall cost. Be warned, do not fall for the lies in their return policy. I would not recommend this company solely on their customer support.

Called support 2 times for assistance in selecting a camera that was compatible with my Synology NAS software, and suitable for the intended purpose (kitten cam). Both times the CSR's were patient with my questions and helpful in narrowing down the possible (overwhelming) number of choices. I ordered a set of binocular on Tuesday 12, just in time for Father’s Day. I paid with credit card and B&H accept the transaction. On the same day, I receive an e-mail telling me that the item has been shipped. On Thursday, June 14, I received the packaged with the incorrect item. I called customer services right away. I explained the situation and I expressed my desire to have the correct item shipped overnight so I can have it on time for Father’s Day. They explained to me that I have to send it a picture of the item received. Even though it make me feel that I was lying to them, I took the picture and send it to them. When I asked when they are going to send me the item I paid for and they accepted the transaction, they told me that they have to receive the wrongly shipped item before they can send my binoculars.
Not only had they treated me as liar person but also as a thief. I did not want the item they sent me nor do I want to keep it. Today I received an e-mail from customer service letting me know that with an electronic Gift Card, I will be able to purchase the binocular for $89.00. When I called to order the device I was told that the e-mail was a mistake as well. I will return the item today and I hope they credit back my credit card. It is a shame that a regular customer is treated like a liar and deceiving person after they made a mistake.

My experience is centered around a camera bag bundled with a camera. The camera bag was backordered, but three months later, B&H can supply no data as to when is the estimated delivery date. They should have 1) not offered it with such a poor relationship with their vendor, 2) offered another bag due to the extended delay, 3) bought the bag from another vendor and shipped it to me or 4) credited me for the full price of the bundled bag. Instead, customer service gave me vapid answers and ask if they can do anything else for me. How about answer my questions or get me what I bought? I've done a lot of business with them, but now I'm done - someone else deserves my business.

Ordered 2 items one which was on backorder for 2 months. Was never notified of any eta. Finally had enough and modified my order. I ordered 2 batteries one used and one new. They were shipped in diff boxes. Had to pay duty 2x. They even put value of new battery so I had to pay more money. Emailed them. They said sorry. Will not be ordering again. I recently returned a lens that I purchased because it wasn't what I expected. Barely used and returned in the exact manner it was received. I was told that a cap on the back of the lens was missing. After I denied and sent pictures of what I had, they then said it was a different cover (pouch) that was missing. After going back and forth for 11 days I decided to call and straighten it out.
They would not send me any pictures of my return which I had asked for. I should have known better and taken a picture of my return but that's where I made my mistake. Bottom line is they are charging me a restocking fee for something I know that's not missing. Lesson learned. ALWAYS take a picture when returning something as proof. Horrible customer service after all that I had spent with them. I am no longer buying anything from them because of this. I am a purchasing manager and integrity is a vital quality of business. Disappointed with the handling of the whole thing.

Great little 3D printer. Yes, it's not that precise as other more expensive units. Yes, it uses proprietary PLA. Yes, it's not that fast. But, it accurate, cheap and fun to use. You will need glue stick to make sure the filament adheres.

I love B&H and I use it for business and personal purchases. However, ever since they switched from UPS to FedEx Ground, I have been very disappointed. I live in MD and UPS was always reliable about delivering next day after the order. FedEx hardly ever gets it here next day. Their tracking shows it out for delivery, but the driver does a drive by and this is in a business park. I HATE FEDEX GROUND.

After purchasing a camera from them and returning it for a new one because of a faulty kit lens, I decided to trade-in my old gear since B&H Photo promised me a better deal than a camera shop I checked the gear at. Everything was in perfect condition and checked by a professional before I shipped them to B&H Photo. But when they received it they said that my prime lens is not focusing and they cannot accept it. I assumed it got damaged during shipping even though I packed it very well. No one would want to answer me by email regarding the issue or insurance, and when they did answer other questions the answers took weeks. 2.5 months after I shipped the lens it finally came back to me, damaged with the focus not working as they told me. I tried asking the customer service about the insurance but they would just advise me to contact trade-in (which I did, with no answers for weeks).
Later when I started digging deeper I found information where they advise you to insure your gear before you send it in - this was not mentioned at any step of the trade-in! But they do advertise that they will insure your gear for shipping in case you are not happy with the quote! And the customer service could not tell me that during these months of wasted time? This whole charade ended up costing me over 200$. Customer service was so unprofessional and unwilling to do anything that I am not taking my money there again.

I purchased a digital drive. The website stated "expedited shipping". To me that means 2-3 business days. On the third business day I emailed their customer service dept. with my concerns, that FedEx was showing a delivery date on the 5th business day after purchase. Their reply totally ignored my issues and did not address anything I had said. The insolent reply was that the delivery date was the 3rd day. I had spelled-out to them that it had already been 3 business days. This was not expedited shipping, but rather, regular FedEx ground. I am still waiting for the item to be delivered.

Ordered Dell laptop and received Asus monitor. And they said that if I drop off the wrong item at FedEx they will start processing my laptop immediately. So I did the same and shared the tracking info with them but now they changed their tone, they are not sending my product immediately. Three different Customer Service Assistants gave three different statements about their return policy. I am really disappointed. I don't know when they will send my laptop and I hope at least they will send correct one if they send. They don't believe in Customers. They send 230$ product for my 899$. I learned my lessons. This will be my last product from this site.

I used them a lot in the past but they are no longer the same company and I find I am actually avoid ordering from them lately more and more. First I ordered a Celestron telescope that offered free expedited 2 day shipping. Over a week now and it says in stock and the order is at the warehouse. It still hasn't shipped! I sent them an email - no response in 24 hours now. I chatted with a person in their customer service department and they informed me they would be sure to ship it today. I get home and the status says the same - at warehouse. Not shipped yet. There are better place to buy from these days. I will cancel the order. Interestingly enough they charged my credit card the second I placed the order, not when the order shipped... So they got use of the money for free. I seriously would take my business somewhere else.

If I could give this 0 stars I would. I am APPALLED by the used department. I've received not 1, but TWO broken Canon Mark III cameras. The return process was a nightmare and I was constantly calling trying to figure out when the new camera was being delivered (not to mention the extremely inconvenient required signature situation). After waiting weeks for my situation to be cleared up (not ideal for a full-time photographer), I was sent ANOTHER broken camera. Returning it all and getting my money back and going elsewhere. Never EVER would I recommend B&H to anyone.

I have had a photography business for 15 years and I have used B&H for most of my gear. I got a crazy idea and ordered a used camera for a backup. The reason I did was to save money and that on B&H used equipment page, it says that all equipment is tested and in working order. I got the camera 3 days ago and it does not work. So I called customer service and after I talked to 4 people I told the last guy that it says that it in working order and tested. He told me, no, they do not test it. Now I have to mess with sending it back, out some money, and I was depending on this camera. I also saved a copy of their used equipment policy. Is this false advertising and bad customer service? (Not happy this time).
Updated on 06/08/2018: I did an RMA for a refund and sent it right back. They received the camera last Friday which was the 1st I believe. I still have not received it. I run a photography business and bought that camera for a temporary replacement. Now I don't have a replacement or my money to get another one. Not only that but It is Friday and they close at 2 so I'm screwed until next week. They should have to pay me for the time I'm down. I will start dealing with a different supplier. I forgot to mention that I called them Wednesday and they said I would have it by this morning, now they are telling me next week. How long does it take to put money back in the bank. Come on now. I can't afford to deal with B&H Photo.

B&H Photo, NYC is the first place I check for any photo (and most computer) needs and it usually ends up being where I make my purchases from. Their prices are great, their service is fantastic, and shipping is fast. If you have any questions at all, their chat is actually very good... reliable and correct info from knowledgeable, friendly but professional service reps. They have a great return policy. If for any reason you're not happy with your purchase, no questions asked. It often makes me wish the store was local for even quicker purchases, but then I'd have to pay our high taxes, so I'm happy they're in NY.

I purchased a Notebook from this company because they were recommended by a friend. A few weeks after I started using the laptop, it started crashing on me. I called B&H to hopefully resolve, requested for the technical dept. I was transferred the first time, was disconnected for unknown reason. The second time I called, CST stated I may have a defective item so he transferred me to another Customer Service Tech person. I was on hold for about 30 min so I hung up and tried calling again. The third rep I spoke with suggested I contact HP. I already lost a couple of work hours so I told them they should be contact HP not me. I am highly disappointed to the customer service I received not to mention the number of times I called and the length of time I was on hold with them. WILL NOT RECOMMEND, I suggest go to your local store for MUCH better in person assistance.

I have been a video customer of B&H; for over 35 years. They are the most professional, fast shipping, provide honest recommendations compared to other providers. I set up and tested the Sony PXW-Z90V camcorder I received a week ago. The camcorder's 1" sensor is the best sensor I have ever used. The 270 image points in the sensor automatically focus in 21 msec and keep the images in focus even when a fast zoom is accomplished. The camera's WiFi support appears phenomenal and will allow me to synchronize the timecode in my PXW-Z90V and PXW-Z150 under control of my iPhone 6. The camcorder is smaller, more compact than other professional camcorders and its HDMI output allows me to see the screen of my Sony 7" monitor which maps each pixel of the sensor to each sensor in the screen.

FedEx claims package was delivered, but there's no documented signature - although it said it was mandatory in the FedEx tracking screen. On top of it, I paid for 1 Day Shipping. B&H people weren't helpful at all and keeping adding steps for it to be resolved. I just want the item or my money back - it's not that hard. There are too many companies on the web that know how to treat a customer right and B&H is not one of them. Never buying from B&H again.

I purchased an Explorer Scientific AR102 refractor telescope from this company. NEW but what I got was an as is/used broken item. I contacted B&H Photo and requested an RMA for a refund. I sent back the item with the RMA and after reviewing my request; they do not want to refund me but instead send me back the broken used as is item so I can send it to the main manufacturer to have it repaired. They supposedly contacted the manufacturer and that company supposedly told them they sent a broken telescope in error to B&H Photo. Now mind you I paid full price for a NEW ITEM not a used one. So to me it is fraud and I am considering filing a lawsuit against B&H Photo Video and also the return manager Berney ** for insisting I take the broken telescope and have it repaired myself.
If I go and take them to court; I will sue for the refund itself plus court fees and time I will lose going to court. I am also considering filing a fraud claim as well and pushing for maximum penalty since the item was over 379.00. I have bought from them before and never have I ever experienced anything like this ever from this company and others. It is downright disgusting and discouraging that a company is wanting me to accept the broken item at the full price that I paid for a new one and ship it to Explorer Scientific. So now I will have to pay more money to ship it to get it repaired. Who in the hell do they take me for? Some dumb Joe Schmo off the street?
I sent them an email saying to them, “Do not send me that scope back here and issue me a refund.” I told them, “If that company told you they sent you a broken one in error then you need to send it back to them and get a credit for it not me. It is not my responsibility to send back a scope to get repairs when it was suppose to be new not used.” So as of now I am still waiting for a refund and hoping they did not send that broken scope back to me. If they did send it out; I will truly sue them for everything they got. I am tired of this crap! These companies are doing to its customers and it’s about time we step up and take charge. I will personally see to it that their doors are shut forever! They should not be in business when doing crap like this...PERIOD!
So I will make it my personal mission to shut them down; to prevent them from doing this same nonsense to other people. The great news is; I am doing all of this via emails so I have all the proof and documentation. I know recorded phone calls are generally not admissible in court but written statements and emails are. :) So Berney ** admitted it was a used broken scope whether in error or not but is wanting me to take the broken scope anyway. YEAH I THINK NOT! So hopefully I will see an email with an apology and with the refund. So I will see how this goes in the days ahead as they are stalling and hoping I accept that offer; but there is no way in heaven or on earth will I accept that.

I bought a gaming laptop with VMR bundle from B&H. It did not work when I received it. I called for support and was sent to the vendors to pay for my own support as they did not have anyone who knew VMR. I ended up out support money and have to return equipment anyway. Should have gone directly to manufacturer of products so I could get better support. B&H refuses to do anything to make things right and were outright rude. Save yourself the hassle!!

If I wanted to pick a complaint on this order, is that they used FedEx for shipping instead of UPS. Do not care for FedEx. In our area, the nearest FedEx station is 90 miles away. Lucky enough I didn't have to be there to sign for the package. My wife and I work and FedEx don't try twice in the same day. UPS is 6 miles from here. Other than that... B&H is perfect. Also, if I have questions or need assistance making a choice, they are a phone call away and their customer assistance people are above the top awesome. What can I say... I bought a ikan EC1 Beholder 3-Axis Handheld Gimbal Stabilizer that was defective straight from the box. I left the country on the day the item arrived and was only able to open it when I got back, only to find out it was defective. When I reached out to B&H customer care I was told that since it's been over 30 days nothing can be done. They also advised to contact the manufacturer. I e-mailed the manufacturer and got no reply. Then I called them and was instructed to contact the seller to get a replacement. Now tired of being tossed back and forth, I would appreciate B&H to take some responsibility for shipping me a defective unit in the first place. I didn't pay for a broken item.
It's frustrating that being B&H the company that actually sold me the item won't take responsibility for selling me a broken gimbal. I have always valued your quality and good prices, this however is turning to be one of the worst customer experiences in a sense that 1. I don't expect to be shipped with defective merchandise. 2. If and when defective units are sent I expect the company to take steps to fix it. After all there's a reason people go to specific companies, for reputation and price guarantee. Customer satisfaction is key for retaining businesses.
One of the reasons I shop with Amazon is the fact that their relationship with me doesn't end after the purchase. I had a pair of Beats by Dre headphones that stopped working after 6 months. I contacted them and they send a replacement unit straight away. This unit I had been using, and got replaced. They have my business forever. It's appalling that B&H would refuse to exchange a new, unused, straight from the box defective unit. Now, am I expected to keep an item worth over $500 which defective is essentially a piece of junk?

My brother and I shopped around for the best price on a stereo we wanted for our older mother for Christmas. I found a good price on B&H Photo's website. The item notes stated 4-7 business days for availability and then free expedited shipping. I purchased it on December 5th -- plenty of time to receive by Christmas. On Dec 17th, I still didn't have the item, so I contacted them and was told the item would be shipped after Christmas -- on Dec 29th. We were terribly disappointed, but decided to live with this because, by now, the item was out of stock locally and the price had gone up elsewhere.
Well the new date promised to us came and went and we did not receive the stereo but instead just received a form letter backorder notification. Every few weeks I would call and was told they couldn't give me any more detail, just that it was on backorder. Because I paid on PayPal, they had my money, but refused to go to bat for me with the manufacturer to get a firm date for the stereo. We wanted to cancel, but it was my mother's gift and she really wanted that particular stereo. I tried repeatedly to ask them to make more of an effort to resolve this with the manufacturer, but when they said their buyers would look into it for me and get back to me, I would just get the same useless form letter saying the item was on backorder.
Today (3 full months after the fact), I found the item on sale directly with the manufacturer for only $30 more than the price I paid through B&H photo, so I cancelled my order and purchased it directly through Onkyo. If it's in stock with the manufacturer, surely the retailer should be able to push for their stock for a 3 month outstanding order? This is how you lose a customer and drive them to write angry reviews like this one. Thanks for nothing B&H! Not once did you make me feel like you went to bat for me as your customer. If you had any decency, you would refund $30 to me for the additional cost of having to buy it directly from the manufacturer. This wouldn't recover my lost time, the Christmas gift fail, the fact you had my $200 for 3 months or the frustration with your lack of help every time I reached out, but it would at least be the decent thing to do.

I can buy a MacBook from Apple and return it for full refund within 14 Days. When you buy from B&H you own it regardless. They "might" take it back for a mere 15% restocking fee. IMHO, these people are used junk dealers that have obtained some dealer authorizations. I'll never buy anything from them. It's a NYC based company that haven't adapted to a consumer trends.

I ordered a OB (Open Box) monitor from B&H. I had a question on what sort of warranty it would have. They got back to me online chat with the answer right away. It had the same warranty as a new one. A used monitor would have a 90 day warranty. Since the price was 10% lower, I went with the OB. Delivery was stated as 3-5 days. I received it in 3 days in Madison, WI. It was very well packed and the monitor is working perfectly. I have used B&H for many items over the years and they have always had great customer service, great prices and a great warranty. I would rank them equal to Amazon and Newegg.

What happened the item didn't even ship by that time, calling them and getting someone to help was impossible 'cause they close early on Friday and Saturday they don't work, I had to rent the equipment because the item didn't arrive on time, finally I got in touch and they didn't wanna stay behind their mistakes caused by their salesman... which cost me $ (renting the equipment) and for $30 they didn't even wanna work out on discount but they chose me to return the product and lose a customer. Be careful with this company 'cause they don't stay behind their product or mistakes and you will end up paying from your own pocket. Don't trust them or whatever they say, they are far behind Amazon and some other Companies.

B&H stole $300 from me. BUYER BEWARE! I thought I was getting a deal by buying from them for no shipping and no taxes. I ordered 2 TVs from B&H on November 22, 2017. No one contacted me until 12 days after about Shipping the merchandise. They held the merchandise at the shipper and claimed they contacted me numerous times. (They called me twice and I responded and called them back twice And asked me to confirm shipping... and I did.) B&H called the shipping company and told them to return the merchandise without my permission. They charged me $300 restocking fee. So basically, they stole $300 from me and I have no merchandise. I'm now in the process of suing them for my money back. Terrible business! DO NOT BUY FROM B&H! Horrible customer service. Really upsetting!

I received my package and all items were in good condition. I have gone out and done some image captures with my new Fujifilm GFX 50S and 32-64 mm zoom lens. The images seemed to be really good, but I won't know until I download them into the raw file recommended in the owner's manual. I am having a hard time trying to download the images without success so far. Other than that the camera seems to be in good working order and so far I am pleased with my Fujifilm camera. I wish it was warmer outside, I would be taking more pictures. I was really nervous about buying such an expensive item over the internet. I wasn't sure of the outcome and was anxious to receive my package and check it out. So far it looks good. Thanks.

I have used B&H for years, but for camera items. I didn't realize you were into electronic products. I ordered a Sony PS4-VR camera and gun for my grandson for Christmas. You didn't have the camera but did have the gun. It was shipped and received just after Christmas, but that was OK. My grandson has a birthday on the 20th of Jan, so he'll get it then.

I ordered a package of Eneloop Pro AA batteries and the Powerex charger on Dec. 26, 2017, and promptly received a confirmation email from B&H. Delivery was scheduled for Jan 2, 2018, which I received. Although I've only had one mishap with B&H (that fault lying with USPS), I have continued to conduct as much of my business as possible with this company as they have proven their reliability day in and day out for years. Not many companies can make this claim. Thank You B&H!

I ordered monitors online from B&H and in the chat with the online person I asked if a signature would be required for delivery. The response was yes it would be required. I then arranged to have a person at my house for the delivery. When the monitors never arrived, I tracked the shipment to find out that the package had been left at "the front door" and no signature was required. Needless to say my package is missing and I have to go through a tedious claim process with UPS as well as B&H to get this resolved. B&H has my money, someone else has my monitors and I have no more patience with this company. First and last time I order from this place and I would caution each of you that if they say "Package requires signature for delivery" what they really mean is "It's up to the delivery person's discretion if they want to leave the package without the signature". Who does that? Doesn't a signature required mean a signature is required!!!
Btw - I was placed on hold for over 5 minutes and the customer service reps (team member & manager) were both very "sorry" for the inconvenience as they stated it with their most non-empathetic voice possible. Not impressed to say the least. Use caution when ordering from this company and if you want anyone other than UPS to handle the shipment, you have to ask as that is their delivery company by default.

We received the green screen prior to Christmas, and are very happy so far, although our grandson has not yet used it. We are hopeful this will bring him much happiness, and expand his capabilities while trying to become a YouTube star which is his goal at the moment. One of the best stores for photography professionals. Many choices in terms of quality and price, and the prices are very competitive compared to the other stores. What makes B&H the best store in its own category from A-Z: 1- They have unbiased verified customer reviews, which helps a lot in decision making. 2- If you are purchasing in the NYC store there are very knowledgeable and helpful sales associates. 3- I buy my gear online from Canada. More choices and better prices.
On top of all, there is Free Shipping for over $99 purchases with an excellent customs clearance service. I really don't like to go through the delivery companies (you know them, no name necessary). They rip you off and charge fees up to 50-60% of value of the delivered item (not exaggerating, seriously). B&H is fast and honest in paperwork. 4- Excellent Customer Service: If something is wrong or you're not happy with your purchase they immediately take the responsibility and do their best to solve the problem. I think the human value and the human experience are the most important things in decision making. And, B&H takes these points very well into consideration.
I will not change my review on B&H, however, my only resentment is that they work with UPS Canada. I don't know, this company might do well in US, but they have a very bad reputation in Canada. Many people I know and myself have bad experiences, from damaged package to paper falsification. This last time, the package came opened. I reported the issue to B&H. UPS even did not apologize. Not good at all. I wish they did not work with UPS.

I purchased a $959 Intel CPU from them and they sent me an Apple Super Drive. They never answer emails or hang up on you on the phone. They are scammers and crooks. They can tell by the weight of the package that the item was not correct. I guess I will dispute it with my credit card company. Stay away from this dishonest company.

I ordered a computer on November 22 with a custom install (as far as I'm aware, all they needed to do was add a single RAM chip to complete the install). During checkout it said it takes 5 to 7 business days to complete the install and ship the product. It's now December 18, I've written several times asking for updates, and all they ever say is "I'm sorry."
Up until December 13 - almost three full weeks after I ordered - I received no reasons, no attempts to make the situation right, no nothing. They sent an email on December 7 saying they anticipated getting the install completed in four to five days, but needless to say they've blown right past that date too, as it's now December 18 and I'm still waiting to hear anything at all.
And oh the excuses. On Dec 5, ten emails into our chain, they told me they had new trainees in the install department and that's what was taking so long. Then on Dec 13, seven emails later, they tell me instead that they're waiting for a back ordered part. It took them SO MANY emails to mention this that I honestly don't really even believe them; it feels like an excuse at this point, especially because I asked them which part several times - I made it clear that I'm happy to go look for the missing part myself (frankly it's probably available with same-day delivery on Amazon since they're in NYC) - and they have so far refused to tell me which part it is no matter how many times I explain I'm just trying to speed things along.
I've suggested they substitute the part, and the suggestion was completely ignored. Frankly at this point - I ordered the computer almost a full month ago now for a holiday that will be over in a couple days, and they know this, I have made that clear too) - they should be willing and eager to substitute whatever's missing with anything of comparable or higher value/performance just to get the order out the door. I don't get the secrecy about what's supposedly back ordered - unless nothing is and I'm just getting jerked around - or their refusal to even pretend that this is a problem they're interested in fixing.
I've made it clear this is a Hanukkah gift (the holiday will be over by the time they maybe get around to doing the install), but that doesn't seem to matter to them (especially surprising for this shop). It also doesn't seem to matter that they've been sitting on almost $1600 of my money for almost four weeks and are making absolutely zero attempts to get the order out in anything even resembling a timely fashion. Which I might be less irritated about if they were making any attempt at all to salvage the situation, but they are not.
No offers to substitute the missing part (nothing but an ignored suggestion there), no willingness to even tell me what the missing part is so I can attempt to find it on my own (again, totally ignored when I've asked more than once), no "How can we make this okay for you?", no offers to refund even part of the cost of the machine for ruining my kid's holiday (I've told them this too - this was the one and only Hannukkah gift for my kid and she is DEVASTATED that there was nothing on the table all week). Just repeated empty apologies, no follow-up unless I write them first, and no actions to get my item shipped. Worst customer experience I've ever had. And the real kicker? As of right now, the computer is still showing as IN STOCK on their website.

My experiences have always been very satisfying — quality products at fair prices. Unfortunately, my experience with their preferred carrier, UPS, has been less than stellar. But that’s not under the control of B&H.

On December 7th, I ordered a printer from B&H Online. It was supposed to come later, but it never came. B&H claimed they sent it to UPS and that UPS is delayed because of the holiday, but that simply isn't true. I ordered something else from B&H and it was delivered to my address perfectly fine. The tracking number had no updates on the package because UPS decided it would be a good idea to not initially scan the item. B&H refused to give me a refund, but luckily I made the payment through PayPal. B&H Customer Support flat out said that they wouldn't respond to the dispute, but they would call the package back. The very next day, they decided to respond to the dispute and PayPal refunded me the money, which was $391.04. I am pretty sure they won't be getting that package returned to them since UPS seems to have lost the package.
B&H claims that this happens all the time. Packages aren't initially scanned by UPS, then a week or two later it arrives to the buyer's address. It is supposed to be expedited shipping. B&H must be crazy to think that they can have UPS not initially scan items. When you don't scan an item, neither UPS, B&H or the buyer will know when the package is received. If it was Amazon or any other big company, they would have refunded me the money. Amazon recently lost 4 of my packages, it was reported as lost, so they gave me replacements and/or refunds and they also gave me free credits for the problem. What did B&H do? They said they would file a claim with UPS and they also told me that they wouldn't respond to the PayPal dispute.
Filing a claim with the same people that were incompetent enough to not initially scan the item is horrid. As I've said before, they responded the next day, probably because I told them. I wonder how angry they will be when they don't get the item back from UPS since it's definitely lost. I am never ordering from B&H ever again. It will be my first and last time I have ever purchased an item from B&H. I ordered the printer from Amazon and it will arrive (on-time) in a couple of days. It is the Brother HL-L8360CDW Color Laser Printer. I would just like to point out that the Customer Representative that told me that they will not respond to my PayPal dispute was someone by the name of Raphy **.
I suggest that B&H retrain that person or whatever since that's not what you say to a customer. I would also like to point out that their customer support is not good because they are only available at certain times. They aren't available 24/7, which is how long they should be available. They make way more money online than they do at the stores in New York, but I guess they are being really cheap.

I ordered a silver Mac Pro for my granddaughter’s 18th birthday. They changed my order to Space Grey. My granddaughter is terribly unhappy with the dark grey Mac. B&H refused to exchange it for the silver because she removed the shrink wrap covering the box the computer was in when she opened her present. They also lied by saying Apple had discontinued the Space Grey so they couldn’t take it back.

Epson Projector - Don't trust the B&H Photo, they say expedited delivery in 3 days. But you will never get it. What they say is, they will ship it to you in 3 days but they don't guarantee when they will get it. So they may get it in 2-4 weeks or even more. They make false promise in about delivering the product. I don't see the point of buying something which will be deliver to you in 2 months.

I ordered a 55 inch LG from B&H. I had spoken with a helpful salesperson in Oct. He answered my questions and did not try to upsell or close the sale (after telling him I was researching). I was concerned about buying it "mail order." He told me how they shipped large tv's via a freight shipper and have had very good results. I felt he answered my questions and addressed my concerns. I purchased the TV later in Nov. The shipper called to arrange delivery and the TV arrived, no problem, no issues. The TV is spectacular and both the vendor and shipper were excellent; I would recommend all three.

I decided to give B&H a chance for a pre-ordered Sony camera which cost greater than $3k. I then waited a month for it to arrive and when it did the shipping box was severely damaged (ripped tape, bent box), no packaging was used to protect the actual camera box on the inside and the Sony camera box had damaged edges. I then contacted customer service about this and they gave me no option other than to "wait for more product to arrive" because it is currently on backorder. They offered me nothing as compensation and were very rude. This is the reason people buy things on Amazon. I will never buy anything from them again and I will let all of my friends know how terrible of an experience I had with them.

I went to order online using a APO address that my army post office gave me, about ten days after I ordered they e-mail me and said they need a city that goes to that address, again I gave them the apo AE address just like the army post office gave me, and still they claim it was wrong and they also gave me an old Template to use for examples, so after 5 to 6 hrs of emailing them, and still they will not send it to me. I asked for a refund, so I got the refund but they would not refund the cd they sent me, which I thought it would come with the printer. I am sitting on a cd file they sent me by email that I cannot even use.
I went online and used the biggest online store and within two minutes I placed a order using the APO AE address that the army gave me. You have to ask yourself do you want to order from a place that takes ten days to e-mail you for a correct email adresss, then 5 to 6 hrs by e-mail traffic OR TWO MINUTES WITH THE OTHER COMPANY? Also I told them to use this address but they claim they could not but the other big online company uses this everyday?

I ordered a TV in October which stated "more on the way" in October. I had not received the order by the end of November so I contacted them and they said the TV would be in on December 5. The ad on the website now said expect them in "7 to 14 days". When contacted the store on December 5 for an update on this order they said they had no date for delivery and would let me know when they had more information. I canceled the order. This was very misleading to advertise a product at sale price and then not be able to deliver in a reasonable timeframe. I am wondering if I reorder at the increased price if it would speed the shipment up. I will not be shopping here again.

As a resident of Maryland, and having had positive experience with B&H in many years past, I had become accustomed to their fast shipping and quality products, this is no longer the case, at least with respect to their customer service which is clearly poor in my eyes and flat out lies of expedited shipping. I placed two high dollar orders ~$5000 each, these were a few months apart and in each case part of the order failed to ship as expected. When I called to see where my order was after it failed to be delivered as expected based on both previous experience years ago with B&H and the website telling me it would naturally be expedited their customer service rep flat out lied to me over the phone that the product had actually shipped when in fact it had not.
On this most recent order it was not until I filed a UPS claim, a credit card dispute and several calls with messages left and emails to B&H before the order was magically shipped. The item in question went from "exception" on the B&H order status screen to shipped and UPS now indicated "Origin Scan" indicating they had accepted the package for delivery. These past two experiences of mine have pushed me to look elsewhere for my future computer and camera purchases.

I live in Australia and I have tried to return a Western Digital Hard drive that was faulty from day one. The UPS service employed by B&H will not take the drive and return it to B&H because of a UPS policy, thus rendering B&H returns policy useless. I have made B&H aware but they have taken no action. Poor UPS delivery on Order # **. Timeline: Nov 15, 2017 - Ordered product. Got confirmation email with Estimated Delivery: Mon Nov 20 by end of day. Nov 20 - Received email with tracking number with a new Scheduled Arrival Date of: 11/24/17. UPS Driver arrives at my door with NO package on his truck. Called UPS Customer Svc to report missing package. They did not know where package was and said it would go out the following day (11/25/17). Nov 25 - Called UPS Customer Svc to track package. They still did not know where package was and said it would go out the following day (11/27/17). Nov 27 - Product was Delivered at 2:21 P.M. 3:14 P.M. B&H Website still shows that it's currently out for delivery.

Ordered the 43" LG Monitor on Monday, backordered until Wednesday. Item was in stock Wednesday and the order status and UPS site both stated shipped. Which actually means just a label was printed. The item did not physically ship. I called Friday to inquire why the item hasn't shipped and was told that there was a delay in shipping from the warehouse. I was told I would receive a $25 credit toward future purchases. But I would have to call this coming Monday to find out if the item actually shipped!!! I was fine with the delay with the backorder because that meant that they wouldn't take the money out of my account until it physically shipped. They printed the shipping label and then didn't ship the item for over 6 days, even though this is Thanksgiving week.
Label was printed on Wednesday and it is now Friday and I did not receive any notification that there was a problem with shipping. They took the money, but didn't ship the item. The Customer Service Rep was very helpful and worked hard to help me with this, that is not the issue. The fact that the company misled and deliberately knew that item wouldn't ship, within the expedited 2 day time frame they promise, and then still take my money without any notification of the delay, is the issue. It feels like they just aren't too concerned with customer satisfaction and don't have the ability to follow through on what they are in business to do. I should have cancelled the order, but I need the item I purchased and I can't find anyone that sells it locally for the price they offered. It was $100 the regular price. I was offered $50 off future purchases and I turned it down because I won't shop at B&H Photo anymore.

I order my ink through B&H. Lately though what I order is not necessarily what I get. Recently I purchased one ink tank and got a set of 8 ink tanks for a printer I don't own. Called to let them know the error. All I wanted is the ink I needed or a credit to purchase it elsewhere. Not so easy with them. They sent me a UPS return label but refused to issue a call tag. I requested either a call tag or a USPS label since I have no idea where the drop boxes are. They refused. I then asked for my credit and I would return this. Nope - they will not credit my account until this is sent back. I'm not a fool! Since their service is pitiful at best I won't deal with them again.
As of right now, their package is ready to be sent back but they have refused to credit me until it is. I doubt that if I send this now that I'll ever see my small credit. This company proves that honesty is NOT always the best policy! I received EIGHT emails regarding this and still it is not resolved. Purchase elsewhere. If your order goes through correctly no problem. If they mess it up, buyer BEWARE!

What can I say, B&H Photo Video is top notch. I've been doing business with them for well over 30 years. After-sale service is excellent. On one occasion, they even contacted me just to be sure that the item I ordered, was correct. How many business go out of their way to do that in this day and age? In all the years I've done business with them, I've had one return, which was handled promptly and politely with prepaid pickup and shipping. B&H is my go-to vendor. Usually, their prices are the best and if not typically they will match it. No one in the industry provides better service!

I purchased two DWC-v6763WTIR cameras 10-17-17 for $350.00. I happened to be on their site the next day, 10-18-17, and they were 152.49 each. I called about this, and spoke with a C/S rep who wanted to take care of the refund WITHOUT ACKNOWLEDGING OUR CONVERSATION, which wasn't acceptable. I asked for his supervisor, Jason **, who emailed me that he refunded 22.00+ AND CAPITALIZED, IN PARENTHESIS, THAT IT WAS THE TOTAL DISCOUNT FOR BOTH CAMERAS! In essence, he credited the price drop on one camera only, total refund 22.50. I had to place another call and asked for a manager, I was transferred to ANOTHER SUPERVISOR INSTEAD who acknowledged the refund should have been 44.50 instead of 22.50. As we were talking, supervisor Jason ** sent another email indicating the correct credit to be issued.
The bottom line is I had to monitor you guys and spend excess time on the phone to get this taken care of properly. To compound the issue, when I received my cameras, there was only 1 INCOMPLETE INSTALL KIT for one camera on page 7 of the manual, item 5 used to unlock the camera from the base for installation was missing! AND 0 INSTALL KIT FOR THE CAMERA! I have spent almost two hours on the phone with B&H Photos C/S reps and supervisors and still cannot install my cameras. I have to pay a service fee, non refundable to the installers, because the parts for the two cameras: ONE IS MISSING THE UNLOCK KEY FOR THE CAMERA/BASE, AND NO INSTALL KIT FOR THE SECOND CAMERA AT ALL!

I have NEVER not ONCE encountered a company that has this Poor of customer service. I placed an order on Sunday to be delivered overnight. Paid $34.00 Overnight shipping to arrive Wednesday. Wednesday came and went no order, I called, salesperson said "So sorry l'll expedite it overnight for delivery Friday." Friday came and went no delivery, no delivery Saturday, no delivery Sunday, It arrived mid morning Monday. 5 Days AFTER it should of been here. I called Monday. Talked to a supervisor, Was told, "Sorry but we did all we could, we will offer you a $20 inhouse gift card." I told them that is a slap in the face to a customer that was not ONCE but TWICE had their order screwed up.
I will NEVER EVER do business with this company again. I am contacting the Better Business Bureau and filing a complaint, I am going to contact the ONLY local camera/photo shop in my town and let them know NOT to RECOMMEND this company to another customer. I wish I had taken the time to check the reviews before I placed the order and with all of the Negative Reviews I would of NEVER EVER PLACED the order. This company need to be held accountable for their actions. This is not a one time thing with this company, as I am finding out with all of the BAD REVIEWS.

What a terrible customer service! So I have ordered multiple Sony cameras, SD cards, gimbals, and so on. I had one SD card that was total garbage. I shot everything on it, tried to put it on my computer, and all it read was an error. Lost all my footage. But I'll chalk that up to bad luck. I am leaving this review because of something way worse. If something goes wrong with your order or product, they will say "tough luck" and leave it be. They have terrible customer service!
I recently ordered a lens filter for a specific film shoot. I placed this order 2 months ago. It said it was on back order but if I ordered it, the last possible date it would arrive a couple days before the first shoot. I ordered this item because a client wanted a specific look for the video. The date came and went and I never received my item. I was upset that B&H made this date up and completely ruined what I was trying to do for this film. If it wasn't going to be shipped by the latest date then don't say it was. I had day two scheduled the next week, but it never arrived. My final shoot in this project went the exact same way. B&H never even shipped my product. TWO MONTHS went by and nothing. I have had this project stifled and my work negatively affected. Now, I am stuck trying to fix what should never have been a problem.
A few days after my final shoot, I received an email saying I wouldn't receive my item at all! If I wasn't going to get it, why even let me order it and string me along. I could have ordered it from anywhere else and had it delivered on time. I contacted B&H and sent them what happened. First experience with their customer service. They simply responded with "It's still on back order," and "It'll be 2-3 days before we hear back from the manufacturer."
Really, wait a longer time. Again, months went by when they said it would arrive in weeks. Then they simply ignore it. I don't know any company that throws their customer under the bus when they messed up. They don't care the trouble they cause their customers and respond back with tough luck. Sure you can order from B&H. You may or may not get your product. But if something goes wrong, they won't treat you with respect and they could care less if they mess up your business projects.

Ordered a Metabones converter for my GH5. After a 2nd delivery date 3 weeks ago, I now have a 3rd possible delivery date. That's just the delivery date to their store - not to me. Then I asked if there was any way it could get delivered to me quicker, and their response was, yes for $44 USD more. I went with the U.S. because traditionally the service is better and more reliable but I believe that is all changing, having had far better experiences with other countries. It's a bizarre customer service policy in that. I know personally 3 other guys already who were going to purchase that converter and VLOG update and wanted to know my experience with B&H... But hey, B&H get to keep their $44 USD - Sweet!

We ordered a pair of sunoculars specifically for the solar eclipse. They arrived on time and in perfect packaging. Upon opening, we realized they did not work at all. We followed the very specific instructions and to no avail, the very expensive and defective binoculars did not work. I called the number on the packing slip and spoke to three very rude "customer service reps." I was told that under no circumstances could I return these for a refund. They informed me that I could contact the manufacturer and see if they could help but it was no longer "B&H's problem". They truly do not care about their customers. I would not recommend these people to anyone. I wish I would have seen all of these negative reviews before I purchased something so expensive from such a crooked company.

I bought through them a Behringer bass amp head BDX300H. It was connected exactly as it should, which means the line-out to my recording equipment (with no speaker connected, no need). After 4 hours the equipment went dead, so I contacted B&H asking for assistance. I explained the connection and the situation using the term "pre-amp", which means a first phase of amplifying the signal, so it can be recorded. After many mails where some sort of a "specialist" was continuously trying to prove that I used the amp incorrectly (as a pre-amp) I phoned them, spent good 45 minutes talking first to customer support rep, then to a real technical specialist, then back to customer support and finally I was promised to be sent a return label and the exchange of the faulty equipment.
Then 5 minutes later I got the mail that no, it cannot be exchanged and that B&H will do nothing about that. So I called back, got to a manager, who, after admitting he is not a specialist repeated the same nonsense about "pre-amp" and that cut the talk. So, I have spent money and time to be left with fully new, but immediately faulty equipment and completely no assistance from the company who very, very quickly took my money, then took a month to deliver the goods and finally did nothing to help me out.

I called on Wednesday 4/16 to inquire about Glasses for the eclipse. I told him I needed 15 Glasses, but needed assurance that I will have them for Monday or I would go elsewhere to make sure I would have them. The Customer Service agent said – “absolutely -- as long as you pay for overnight shipping” -- I will get them. He said they come in packs of 5 -- so I ordered 3 packs. I get the shipment on Friday night at 6PM -- open the package to find -- 1 pack of 5 in there --- but of course I was billed for 3 and paid for the expedited shipping.
They were closed at that time until Sunday morning. I called on Sunday 8/20 -- the first chance to contact them. The agent said – “sorry - nothing we can do.” There is no way this was done by accident - The shipped 1 package because of the heavy demand. Not right -- and not nice. I now have a lot of disappointed kids who I promised would have these. Thanks B & H for assuring me I have "nothing to worry about".

B&H consumer service doesn't care at all. They sent me a broken phone and have made zero attempt to help me solve all of the issues. My money has not been returned to me. Unapologetic, unprofessional. The phone they sent me wasn't even listed as USED on the web site but a broken used phone was all that ever was sent to me. I returned it a week ago and still no money back... August 6, 2017.

I have ordered Nexus 5X from this company. After using couple of days started noticing overheat and received many complaints from friends that I am not responding to text messages, which I never received. Tried to resolve with carrier and it seems issue was with phone. Not sure what was the issue with phone. I requested for return & refund, this company said they can offer exchange since I lost packaging box, which is fine. Sent phone to this company and rep called me. Told they do not have any phones. They can only do refund with 20% restocking fee. It is unfair that they told they cannot do exchange since they do not have stock. When the phones in stock, problem with them and they need to offer full refund. Rep was harsh and I am done with this company. I regret buying from this website.

Bought a tripod/head mount for upcoming project. Received instead a 27'' iMac 5k Retina PC with no packing slip. Called immediately to report the mistake and arrange for the thing I paid for and was not sent to BE sent and was treated essentially like a criminal. Feel like I was bait and switched, they explained that they would have simply charged me for it if I didn't call. Explained the urgency and need for the tripod, and he offered to sell me another one for another $800. Sent me a paid regular UPS Ground return label even though I paid 3 day shipping. Explains it will take a week to receive it, 3 days to process it, then presumably another 3 day wait once shipped. Refused to return my money for 1-2 weeks until they can process.
So now, not only will I not have a tripod for 2-3 weeks if I wait on them, but they are holding my money hostage when they never honored our agreement and never sent me what belonged to me. Not to mention treating me like a thief who stole their iMac even though their negligence forced me to possess it. Really not satisfied and furious with the demeanor of the customer service representative I spoke with.

I have to wonder how they would respond to a warranty issue after having a terrible experience trying to sell them some camera equipment. I sent them a camera and two lenses along with misc. accessories and manuals, etc. in pristine condition. The deal did not work out and they sent back my property but not in a professional manner by any means! They obviously tag and shelve your property before you have even agreed on the price. My camera and battery charger with lens caps were rolled into one bubble wrap bag without any protection between the three objects. The screen shield I had put on the Canon EOS7D was gone and the camera was left on with someone else's memory chip in it that they used to test. I did not get back both manuals and a battery cover.
After several e-mails and phone messages of excuses, and several weeks later after their first attempt to send the missing items (by sending EOS 7D Mark II manuals and CDs) I received a beat up manual. They obviously lost or resold my original pristine manuals and CDs! They were fair honoring the stated value per the on-line quote, I just wouldn't ever send them anything that I might want back eventually.

Last year an order has been placed in B&H online store with my visa card number. I have never myself placed this order so I consider it a fraud attempt. According to my bank statement, the order was placed on June 30, 2016, and the amount was 586.16 USD (=547.02 €). Even more surprising, on July 4, 2016, my bank account was credited with the same amount in dollars (but only 525.99 €), as if the order had been canceled. Determined to find the culprit of this offense, I emailed B&H two times to request a copy of invoice, which should reveal the identity and address of the wrongdoer. But I never received any reply from B&H consumer service which obviously doesn't care at all.

I ordered a piano bench and metronome. The metronome was bent. The piano bench came in a box that was opened. The bench was broken beyond repair. The seat was torn. The inside (it's a storage bench) was mutilated. The hardware was mangled and it didn't open and close properly. The hardware that holds it open was mangled. I sent pictures, immediately, to BH. The bench is heavy for me, as I had surgery and I can't carry it. I told them this. They insisted that I bring it to a UPS store, to their store or lug it downstairs and wait all day for UPS to pick it up (as I don't have a doorman). If I'd been able to carry it, I would have picked it up from the store in the first place.
Any reputable company will tell you to throw it out and they'll send you a replacement. Not BH. After thousands of dollars and years of buying from them, despite the fact that they're pretty nasty and dismissive in the store, I'm through. Everything's fine until something goes wrong. Then, you're out of luck. Furthermore, this isn't the 80s. They don't have the best prices like decades ago.

I was told by B&H Photo Video that my check for the items I sold them was sent the 20th of July via USPS. I checked with them today the 24th looking for what happened to my check and was told that I needed to allow 3 weeks for delivery. Since when does it take 3 weeks to send an envelope via USPS. I will not be doing further business with this dealer... Unfortunately I spent over $800 on equipment from them in the last couple of weeks.

Do not do business with these people!!! I have purchased two Apple Watches from them and when I opened the boxes there was nothing in them whatsoever! They refuse to give me back my money unless I file a police report where there is nothing the local police can do since I am in Florida and they are in NY! Never do business with them! Customer service is a joke and they don't even stand behind the customer whatsoever!

I placed an order earlier today. Then received an email with no explanation that the order was cancelled. Then a 45-minute call with Barry to find that you needed my P.O. Box zip, instead of my home zip code. Followed by a 25 minute chat session trying to confirm the order, unsuccessfully. Followed by another 60 minute chat with Dave ** trying to explain that there are two zip codes - one for home [**], one for PO box [**] to no avail. He was unable/unwilling to provide this information to your verification department, and insisted many times that my bank denied the cc transaction. I requested the name of a human person that I could email the information to [as I was in a telephone conference. Five requests for a human contact name, then 5 requests for the corporate CEO's name and email contact.].
My order then received two emails, one confirming, then one again cancelling the order. My bank confirmed that they did not deny the transaction, but your company provided the wrong zip multiple times. I need the cell phone due to my old one damaged while I'm away from home. Your c/s stinks. I requested your corporate office email. He refused. Look at the chat logs - it was a complete waste of time. I will never recommend your company due to your lousy c/s time wasting and refusing to provide contact [your Contact Us] info [easily available via internet]. Your company better ensure that you process a credit for the charges you made to my cc, or deliver the product I ordered. I manage a c/s group and I'd be fired for this lousy service.

May I implore everyone who reads this to NOT do business with these people. They will place an image of an item For Sale to the consumer, and they WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY very quickly, and THAT's about where it ends. They will THEN send you an email telling you that they are not ACTUALLY in possession of said item, and that now they have to go to someone else to see if they can purchase it for you. They talk vaguely about suppliers. They tell you that it could be 14 days or longer IF you ever hope to see the item you have purchased at ALL. I'm still waiting. They took my money. I have nothing to show for it. Their customer service is RUDE, UNSYMPATHETIC and NON EXISTENT as far as their wanting to solve problems in a timely manner. These are charlatans to avoid!!! BUYER BEWARE!!!

I purchased a new item for my personal use. I returned it unopened. It took them 5 business days to check the package in, 7 including the weekend, another 2 business days to issue a refund to Paypal. Now get this. It is now business day 4 since they refunded my Paypal balance, and the funds have still not cleared and have not been deposited in my Paypal balance. So in total that is 13 days! I have chatted, called and emailed my dissatisfaction. They just do not care! Steer clear of this New York company. You are better off buying locally and paying a little more.

I purchased a Cyberpower Computer from B&H Photo as a gift for my son. Within three weeks of my purchase, I started to experience problems with the computer. When I called B&H Photo, the customer service I received was so unprofessional. The company told me that they could not help me and that I needed to call the manufacturer. Over the next few weeks, I started to experience many issues with the computer, and when I called B&H Photo again, they proudly told me that because it was 30 days after my purchase, that the purchase was final. The company said that they are not responsible for my defective computer. Since then, my computer has been basically a "lemon". I am in the middle of disputing my charge with my credit card company.
During this dispute, B&H Photo has provided false information to my credit card company stating that they have called and e-mailed me trying to settle the dispute with me. This is incorrect. This company is the worst and most unprofessional company that I have ever dealt with. I would never recommend that anyone purchase any item from this company. I rated this company with one star because the web page would not allow me to rate with no stars. Worst customer service ever.

I ordered a pair of the new Sony Platinum wireless headset and it was broken when it arrived. Not to mention their return and exchange policy requires you to pay the shipping and handling to send it back to them. So I paid an extra $15.91 to send them back a broken headset. Even the UPS store was shocked.

Last Thursday I called B&H Photo to order a computer. As I needed it the next day, I wanted to see if I should order online or over the phone. The sales person specifically told me that if I needed it the next day that I should deal with him as he could make sure that happened. I accept his advice. Bad decision. At the end of the order process I was asked for my email which I provided. For some reason unknown to me, they decided to verify the order before shipping. My credit card was approved, it was just some internal procedure. I was not available by phone until the next day. When the computer did not arrive I tried calling but that was at 2:10 (app) and they were closed. They close at 2 on Fridays.
I never received an email about this particular order as the salesperson made a mistake when he wrote down my email. Long story short, I am scheduled to receive the computer tomorrow, 4 days after I needed it and 4 days after I was assured I would receive it. In hindsight I would have been far better off not dealing with the salesperson and ordering it myself online. I wasted a lot of time.

I purchased a refurb camera from B&H that was in open box condition. When camera arrived it appeared heavily used with huge scratch on bottom and letters worn completely off buttons. This was definitely not open box condition. I took a photo to test shutter count and it was at around 2500 with copyright information in there from a previous photographer. To make matters worse I test the camera out and it was shooting soft and out of focus. I called B&H and told them my situation and that I needed a replacement asap since I have a assignment coming up in a couple weeks. They told me to buy another one and ship the defective one back. So I purchased a brand new one which seems fine, although they have had my defective camera now for 5 days and still no refund.
It also shows that it was delivered there UPS, although when I check status of return on B&H website, it shows it has not been received. I called them up two times already and they have an attitude like they don't care and have even hanged up on me. Next is BBB if I don't receive my money. What comes around goes around. Don't start no ** and there won't be no **.
