    I have used Directv, Dish, and Cox for obtaining TV programming. Directv had good customer support until it was acquired by AT&T and then became terrible. I tried Dish on 2 occasions and now have found that calling for customer support via telephone is a waste of time and filled with frustration as in every instance they are unable to help and revert to scheduling a technician to come to my house at a basic rate of $95.00 unless I have subscribed to an updated service contract which costs $12/mo. Getting a technician to fix the problem always was set for at least 2 days out. I'm going to return to Cox as they are at least reliable and can supply true help within a day. Stay clear of Dish unless you want frustration and repeated trouble with picture etc.

    I have been a loyal Dish customer for over 7 years. They continue to up my bills, with less watchable TV available and less service.. I have the Hopper and 2 Joeys. Frequently, the Joey in bedroom 1 loses its connection and I can't get it back. When I first started with Dish, it was very dependable and never went out in storms. Now, 4 raindrops and I lose the signal for anywhere from several minutes to hours. Three weeks ago I had a glitch with the programming, it was going in and out of the connection. I called Dish, waited on hold for a bit, and then chose the option for them to call me as soon as a technician freed up. Apparently, a technician hasn't freed up, because they haven't called me. I'm sick of higher prices and less value. In search of a new carrier.

    I am not satisfied with my services. We started with 120 Plus package. Price kept going up and up. We went down to the next package and found very little programs that we like to watch. Warning if you add equipment like a joey or another box your contract will be extended to the full two year again. I canceled services still waiting for the boxes. Which adds up in your bill.

    Not existence customer service. On install day technician did not show. And customer service did not care less and calls was not getting anywhere. They lied and lied and said he is coming and no one showed up.

    Be very very careful. This company is full of lies and cheating. I have been with this company for 12 years. A months ago I had some problem with the signal I called Dish Network, They said it’s equipment problem that I need to upgrade to the hopper New without any charge. I even ask couple times And the person on the phone Assured me there is no charge. The technician came installed the new equipment. Everything is working again. The technician didn’t mention a word of charge or contract.

    After the installation, my bill went up More than $40. I try to contact customer service, But they told me I agreed to the price increase. Because of they lied I want to cancel my Dish Network. I have been with Dish Network for 12 years. When I called to cancel, they told me I have contract with them If I cancel, they will charge me $490. What are cheating on the lie company. Watch out, This company Either don’t train their people or train their people To lie. To get money. After the repair, the technician asked me to sign something To say the repair is done and working, so I signed. He mention an word of contract. So they trick me to sign a contract. Full of lie and cheating.

    My 10-year old Dish receiver died. After waiting an hour and eight minutes just to talk to someone in the Philippines, and then taking nearly 20 minutes just to schedule a tech to replace it and the terms of a new 24-month contract and pricing, my phone battery died and the call dropped, cancelling the appointment and all that effort. So go through the same all over again with someone in South Africa.

    It was pretty good until the contract ran out. Then the prices shot up. Cost would go up every few months. One evening I went through the guide and counted 8 channels covering the same Shark vacuum. Not to mention the multitudes of Medicare, robot mops and other duplicate shopping channels that I never watch but have to pay for. I thought- why am I paying so much for all of this junk? So I wanted to switch to a streaming service that was considerably less and included 98% of what we watch. So I call Dish to cancel and suddenly I'm a valued customer and they want to give me discounts on a new 2yr contract. Of course I called a few months earlier and they told me that unfortunately they couldn't do anything but offer me a discount on 6 months of some premium channels. But the first person with account retention gave me some figures to discuss with my wife, so I said fine.

    After 2 weeks and running the numbers it just wasn't worth it so I call back to close the account, and that's when the frustrations really started. The next person I spoke with was polite but would NOT close my account, despite me saying several times I had heard their speech before and wasn't interested. He continued to try and convince me to stay, trying to list negatives about streaming services (which aren't really negatives). I asked to speak with his supervisor to get the account closed. He continued trying to convince me to keep my service so I told him I would hold. He put me on hold for a minute and came back to tell me his supervisor was willing to give me an offer. That's when I said I'd had enough and would try to call back and get a different agent that would do as I asked.

    So the next agent, after hearing me explain what had happened and the disgust in my voice, agreed to cancel the account. But when he pulled it up he said the last agent closed it out AFTER I got off the phone, without going over ANY of the details around sending the equipment back, final bills, etc. Then I go on their website and at the bottom it says: "We want to hear what you have to say! Leave Feedback" but the link doesn't work. Turns out there isn't a link- it's just a useless button for show. I spoke to 2 agents that needed my account pin to send me the link, then they say there's no link and it must be a web issue. I'm assured they will report it, but there is no way to provide Dish with any feedback. So, Dish gets too expensive, includes a ton of garbage channels to inflate the number of channels in their packages and makes it nearly impossible to cancel. Then when you have a negative experience they don't want to know about it.

    Had Dish for 24 years using old outdated system. Finally accepted hopper as old system stopped working. With old system, I rarely had weather outage. Hopper system goes out in a sprinkle and picture is no sharper.

    I have had DISH Network for approx 88 years now and have been very happy with their service up to this point. We have been having problems with one our receivers now for several months now and we cannot get it resolved. We have called and called and they finally sent out a technician with no charge but the issue was still not resolved. I called again and now they want to charge for another service call to work on their equipment. We lease the equipment from them and will not pay for them to come out and work on their own equipment. They have a protection plan you can pay for which is ridiculous because we do not own the equipment. Everyone I would call I would be told something different from customer service so now we are trying to decide if we should change service to another provider.

    Dish Network is the most useless service in America. If are looking for sports don't come here or any other programming. Their sports games are blacked out all the time. I live in Virginia and the games are blacked out in Ohio. The on demand movies are purchase only for 80% of the movies. It seems like any conservative actor/actresses movies are no longer free. The systems cut out all the time. For what you pay it overpriced or doesn't work. I would choose a better alternative and even direct is better which saying a whole lot.

    Well, I called their customer support after viewing their website to find out what internet I could expect bundled with the sat tv packages. Woman answered and would NOT answer my questions, only wanted my details before she would allow me to inquire of their service. I gave street, (1 block long) in San Francisco, but she interrupted and demand my name, exact address, email... I gave my address and she told me if I hadn't given correct address they couldn't provide service...basically calling me liar. I again gently informed her I was only inquiring about their advertised service where they give zero details of internet service, could she help me with that? Click...hung up on me...know I don't want that kind of service..hope someone up food chain reads this and fires her if that's not their policy, and if it is, I give zero stars to their support service.

    Switched to Dish because Directv was constantly adding packages I didn’t want and auto billing additional $. Offer from Dish guaranteed no change in price for 3 years unless you upgraded your programming. Things they DON’T tell you is that after 6 mos. your bill will increase to cover protection of THEIR EQUIPMENT that you lease from them. It has now been 8 months and the equipment has failed in 3 of the 4 rooms in my house. I have hopper sling, hopper plus and joeys (I think, not a technician). I will be billed for a $95 for technician to fix or replace THEIR equipment that has failed unless I agree to pay $11.99 per month for protection of THEIR equipment.

    I could understand the charges if I owned the equipment or I had damaged their equipment. I have zero control over the quality of the equipment they purchase so until my contract is over I will have to pay additional monies every month or pay for a technician visit every time THEIR leased equipment fails. Either this was in the very fine print of the offer or it wasn’t on the original offer I received. Never would have thought that a consumer would be responsible for insuring leased equipment for manufacturer defects or workmanship. Almost forgot to mention, Dish has added programming changes to my account that I neither requested nor wanted on 3 separate occasions. Spent a minimum of an hour on the phone with Customer Service to have them removed and taken off my bill.

    My bill went up and because they removed something I did not watch,, they slapped me with another 2 year contract, that is number 1. For some reason they ended up with a double payment made on the June 4th, I called them on the 5th, again on the 7th, several times after that. I was told it was approved on the 11th for the refund of $130.00 plus, I still do not have this back on my card. After calling Dish again yesterday, they said they tried putting it back on my card, but that my card denied it. So I call my bank, it is not the card, if I returned something and used this card, that goes right back on the card.

    Here it is June 19th and I still do not have the overpayment. I have been with them for 11 years, now this new contract will not expire till April 2026. I will not last that long, if they are gonna charge me say $20.00 a month for each month under the two year contract, that is what they will get a month, not a penny more until those months are paid. They get the money the day you pay with the card, and you have to wait. I am on a fixed income, and can not do anything as I am still waiting for my money. As far as I am concerned DISH SUCKS.... Their fault I feel this way. It will be good bye to Dish right now I am shopping around.

    When my 2 year contract ended I was charged $50 more 1st month. Spent an hour on the phone finally accepted new 2 year contract at $108 monthly. 2 months later I was, charged $126. After another hour on the phone, they wouldn't honor the $108 monthly fee. Canceled service now being billed $403 termination fee. That will end up in collections. I will never give them one more nickel. Wake up Dish. There's a reason you keep losing customers.

    Bait & Switch! I was paying $97 a month to Dish Network for about a year and a half. Last month the Bill went to $107. I then got an email from them offering a two year price lock. I signed up. The following month, I got a bill for $139! I was online for 30 minutes, then told to call, and the rep said, “we didn’t say the price would be. It will now be $122”. What a sleazy company.

    Dish Anywhere does not work anywhere. 1 1/2 hours going around with customer service. All non-smart casting and streaming works fine except Dish. Service would not accept that and insisted it was the tv, a 1 year old high end Samsung Frame. Elevated to some other technical support with a minimum one week wait. Really? Patience has run out on frequent home resets and this reoccurring theme when I want to use it out of town.

    I canceled my Dish account due to lack of variety and excessive price. Been waiting for fiber optic internet to get streaming which we love! I called CS to cancel and was subjected to lengthy sales pitch finally got prorated refund. Called 10 days later and was told it would take 3 weeks. Called today and was told it would take 3 more weeks because they had not submitted the request. Will never use this company again! I know if I had a balance that payment would have been instantly deducted. Such a runaround!

    I will not recommend Dish TV. Calling customer service is a definite commitment to wait on hold for at least 25 minutes. I was given different prices for technician visits. Performance is affected by the weather. When finally getting connected to an agent to terminate our service (which we had to pay a fee for. I get it.) the agent was demeaning. I was scolded and spoken to like I was an imbecile for leaving Dish. The whole experience was mentally exhausting and degrading.

    Called to get my payment extended and since I can not make the payment on the given date. I just got an email that my service is canceled. I called and told them I did not cancel my service but in order to reinstate my service o have to make a payment. I have been with them for 3 or more years.

    After 30 years of being a customer and having 1 of the top packages, we canceled after finally getting another option with Starlink... We were charged a final $20 for the equipment to go back...Talk about nickel and dime folks... To me, that is not great customer appreciation or service!! So glad we finally walked away...

    We love Dish but never received the $500 gift card offer! We waited patiently and finally made the call to find out it wasn't sent out automatically after signing up and expired! Now we are moving and they are telling I'm stuck in a 2 year contract with early termination fees! I'm suppose to hear from somebody to resolve this issue...If not..never again!!!! (Lost our sports channel a couple of years ago...Still came back...)

    We recently called Dish about our remote not working. Well it’s been almost two weeks still no remote. You have to go to the box to turn channels can’t get into dvr for recordings. Being a long time customer and faithful customer how can they not send a new remote overnight? How would they like to have to do what I have to do? They do NOT take care of their customers or I would have gotten it sent overnight and here they want to charge you for overnight ship of 20.00 what is that? If that’s how they want to treat their long time customers and I mean over 20 yrs then maybe we should start looking for a new satellite provider that takes care of their customers. Oh as for getting help with remote they keep trying to push the hopper when we like our dvr box to take back and forth to our camper. So when you call for service you want service if we wanted a salesman we would have called the number for a salesman.

    I had been a customer for almost 2 years. Calling customer service is a beatdown due to long hold times. If you try to cancel anything, they repeatedly hound you to not do so. Their DVR/remote functions are spotty at best (the jump/skip forward function sometimes skips BACK). They treat new customers better than their existing customers in their pricing. Their pricing has hidden charges all over the place.

    Dish Network lies to the customer. I sign a contract 3 years guarantee and they not stay with the agreement. I sign for $85 a month. Now they charged $96 without saying anything. I call and explain customer services. They said different history and not stick to the contract make us to paid. Fake TV and flyers. Not recommend and don’t believe fake news. Very disappointing.

    I was asked to return old equipment before May 16th. I received the box and returned it. I received an email from Dish on the 14th stating they had received the equipment. My checking acct was charged over $300 on the 17th. I have spoken to several customer service staff and they keep saying the refund is going to happen. It is now the 24th of May and I have not received a refund. Do I have recourse in the court system? Thanks!

    Our Hopper had a hard drive failure. So we had to get another Hopper. They wanted to charge me for the shipping of new one, I said No since it was not my fault that their equipment failed. Made me take out protection plan so I could use free shipping. Such a scam to get more money from me.

    The most recent version of Dish anywhere (their mobile app) is horrible. It crashes constantly and just does not work. It takes about ten minutes just to change a channel or to load. They will not let you cancel their terrible overpriced service and try to force you to call them on the phone. DO NOT EVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. NEVER EVER. My bill was over $200.00 a month!! They are charging me over $50 a month just for equipment. Get a streaming service instead (Fubo, Hulu Live etc.). No equipment needed.

    I have had DISH Network for 9 months now and have had pixelation and service interruptions that happen only during the day on and off that entire time. These last about a minute and then service returns. I finally called to ask for technical help on 15 May 2024 and was told that I either needed to purchase a monthly service plan for $12 a month or face a $95 charge for a technician visit. The code I keep receiving is 015A indicating the problem is a misaligned DISH. We get high winds in Colorado and this is the result. It will happen again and again because it's not a stable mounting system they use. I also don't feel compelled to pay another $144 a year for something on the outside of my home that is supposed to be adjusted properly from the start. I'll align the damn thing myself and go with Xfinity as soon as my DISH deal is up. DISH just proved to me that the customer is never right and they're just another money sucking, overgrown company.

    They SUCK!! My grandmother was 96. I was paying her bills for her so had account put in my name. She passed away and they said I have to pay 300 dollars early termination fee because it wasn’t me that passed away. Add insult to injury they are the ones who told me I had to put it in my own name. Horrible to work with and supervisor had zero care!!

    After having Dish for years, lately it's been awful. Lost 2 receivers in a week due to a hard drive error (?) no return label included, lost all recordings again within a week and now waiting for new box to arrive. And they charge for shipping. Guess they sent me a bad receiver again. I will not renew contract.

    How in the world this company has such a low review is amazing to me!! I've been with Dish for approximately 12 hrs. They have only went up on the price twice at about $2 each time. I've had other providers that couldn't compare. I've never had any downtime that lasted more than 5 minutes In harsh weather and the representatives are great. So, what's the problem out there? Unfortunately, I'm leaving Dish because I'm now on a fixed income And I have to. If I wasn't in this situation, you better believe I would be with Dish. Thank you Dish for the ultimate great service!!

    I had the most incredibly worst experience trying to cancel my subscription. The man that talked with me was so rude and talk down to me the whole time. Never again will I do business with this company. Starlink is far better and faster without charging addition fees for streaming service. Do not use this company, you'll regret it.

    I switched from Directv and boy do I regret it, the only reason there is 2 stars instead of one is because the young man who installed was great. The whole set up is not, the navigation on the hopper sucks, it's all cluttery and unorganized. It was 10 dollars less a month for DirecTV and I had Max, I have a couple channels. I didn’t have with Dish but I really liked Max also every time it literally sprinkles, it goes out which is not good. Directv didn’t do that so easily and you could switch it to steam on ANY channel. I also hate the remote the way it fast forwards sucks. I just regret switching. I promise Directv is better, if you are thinking of switching don’t. I’m now stuck for 2 years because of the contract before I can switch back. I’ll never get used to their crappy remote with no exit button.

    I am very, very pissed off at Dish. When a representative came to talk about Dish service I specifically asked if I was going to be under a contract because I did not want a service that had a contract and said no I am not. Only the price was locked in for 2 years. When I went to cancel my dish because I moved and did not need it anymore they said "OK there will be a $160 early cancelation fee for terminating my contract early." I said I was told I was not under a contract, but come to find out yes I was. The representative lied to make a sale. I will never do business with them again and I recommend everyone really pay attention to what you sign because they will lie to you to make a sale.

    We hooked up with DISH a couple of years ago and were happy with their service. Since we were snowbirds, we spent our winters in Arizona. We took our Hopper and remote with us when we went South. They put up a Dish on our Arizona home at no charge. I was impressed! When we sold that home and came back North, I brought the equipment back this year I couldn’t get on the Dish Network. I had done the transition hookup back and forth for a couple of years. This year I had trouble when I got home. I tried everything that I had done in the past to no avail. Finally I asked for help.

    After many times waiting for someone to help, I explained my problem. Even though I had done the hookup each year, the person on the support line wanted go their standard protocol. After many frustrating minutes I said that I needed a technician. My remote wouldn’t connect to the Hopper. The support person would not get out of their protocol script. I said I wanted a technician and would gladly pay any cost. Still, they stayed on the script and would not send a technician. Finally, I had enough. I said I wanted to dump Dish. Of course I had to talk to a different person. That person was really nice and asked why I wanted to quit. When I said that I wanted a technician, they said no problem that they could do that. After spending several hours trying to fix the problem, there was no way that I could be placated by hearing that response then.

    The person said that I had to send back a bunch of stuff…. Even that plastic receiver portion hooked to the dish. Luckily, it wasn’t on top of my two story house. Now, a week later no box to return the equipment. They shipped it to the Arizona address, even though I explicitly gave them the correct address. Today I got an email from them that said they hadn’t received the Hopper and internet device…. No mention of the plastic receiver. Just letting you know Dish is not what it was a couple of years ago.

    About a month ago we decided to cancel the Dish Network after 4 years due to my mother in law moving into a senior living center. When we asked to cancel the account the rep said to wait until the end of the billing cycle that was May 9th because we already paid for the month service. Today we contacted dish to cancel the service which was direct to do, when we verified the account they saw the notes from a month ago and said they honor the cancelation with no balance due that was on recorded line by the way, after the request they transfer me to another department to request to send back the merchandise to dish.

    When I got transferred I spoke to another rep Terrance that said opposite that we would be charged for the boxes at 40$ and 54$ for the adjusted service. I asked to speak to a manager and explained that I was told different a month ago which he said he has no notes or records of that information or that it magically disappeared. The manager did waive the return box fee but didn't honor that we would not be charged because we was told different from another rep.

    I asked the manager to check with the other rep that said in his notes we paid the balance is full. He can't find the notes or calls from a month ago that were telling us to wait until the 9th that we wouldn't be charged. He did mentioned he saw the notes today but nothing mentioned about the balance was paid in full. I asked his to check with that rep but he said there was no name. LOL. Are you kidding me, that was on a recorded line hello? He said I get a call in 5 days.

    This is a completely unacceptable, unprofessional business that they can't honor what they promised and that Liz my mother in law was a loyal customer for 4 years that is a veteran wife especially. She is diabetic with health problems that are leaving for the living center!

    After checking my phone records with the call a month ago 1-866-728-1007 which dish is denying that we called and spoke to the rep and when we called back now they're saying we owe a balance for non payment and our balance is now 117$ omg. This company is a scam artist and after being a valuable customer for 4 years with payments on time just because we cancelled service because of her move they want to treat us like this? Especially been told today we owe no balance that was recorded. The bills isn't due till tomorrow so Dish how exactly do we owe a balance??? You already told us today we didn't owe anything? What's going on with everything changing once we speak to another rep??? NEVER AGAIN WILL I EVER OR REFER ANYONE TO DISH NETWORK!!!! STAY AWAY BECAUSE THEY'RE LIARS AND SCAM ARTIST!!!!

Furthermore, if I ever decide to return to a cable or satellite service provider in the future, Dish will not even be considered as an option. In conclusion, my long-standing loyalty to Dish has been overshadowed by the disappointing treatment I received during my attempt to cancel. It is my hope that Dish will take this feedback seriously and strive to improve their customer service practices to prevent others from enduring similar unpleasant experiences.

    After two years Dish's bright orange cable was above ground. I called them to come out and bury a little deeper so the lawn mower wouldn't cut it in two. I was told I would have to pay 90.00 service fee. Long story short After talking to 4 different people and over an hour on the phone I finally said if the mower cuts it I will stop paying my monthly bill and see you in court. They are coming out to take care of it NO CHARGE.

    I have satellite in my motorhome, got Dish on the go with local channels, receiver would not lock into channel 110 for local channels, spent hours troubleshooting, nothing changed. They sent me another receiver and it does not work. Had to pay for service three times to try to fix the problem. They will not refund me the money back for a service they could not provide. Reading on forms they have been having this problem with the walley for years. Stay away from dish. They are no help and just take your money and do not provide a service.

    Was with Dish for 8 years +. The equipment is not quality - the audio will scramble and the set has to be rebooted to correct. Poor response to repairs. Expensive. At the end of your service, they charge $20 for box and label to return their equipment. Also, will find ways to ding you for a final bill. They told me the bill was up to date but then comes a bill for 2 more weeks. Really shoddy.

    My dad has rapidly progressive dementia and had to move to a memory care facility. Cancelled his TV service and they charged him a 240$ early cancellation fee. Then 2 months later sent another bill for a random pay per view charge from a year ago. He has never used pay per view and if he did in fact order this, it would have been accidental. They refused to allow me to discuss his account and this fraudulent charge even though I have his power of attorney and account number and sent me to the fraud team under the guise of "helping me access the account" like I'm the bad guy. They then refused to connect me to anyone that could take complaints. This man has DEMENTIA that we didn't realize was already bad last year and did not write down his 4 digit security number and gave them some random answer to his security question. Good job DISH for preying on the elderly and treating their loving family like criminals.

    I had to change my old receivers because of issues with the DVR to the New Hopper, but never told me that I had to do a 2 year contract, which was never told to me. Well to make a long story short. I got a divorce and had to leave the house and cancel my subscription with Dish. They told me that I could place my subscription on hold for 9 months and only pay $5.60 or so a month, so I did. But if I knew that afterwards that they were going to charge me $389. 83 for early termination, which I was never told that they placed me on a 2 year contract. I would have terminated my service 9 month ago instead of having to pay $5.60 a month for 9 months. They are a rip-off and I will never do business with them again. My family is also going to cancel their service as well since they are all on a no contract with Dish. So I say to Dish. Keep your $389.83 you charged me because you are going to lose about $1200 a month from my family's cancelation of their Dish services.

    Was with DIRECTV over 25 yrs and offered $500 promo and 2 yr contract with bill cut in half what we were paying. Did everything required for promo card and called in 3rd month. Was told promo was $300, not $500 and nothing they could do cause it wasn’t written in my contract! Bill always due 28th, today on 4/26, get up and service is disconnected. Called and was told I had outstanding bill. Never received late notice, have copies of bills that don’t show late balance and was on autopay! They say I didn’t honor original contract and my svc will be additional $75 a month. I want out and back to Direct!! Only 3 months and over it!

    I called cancel, took 3 phone calls and finally a lady said she could help. I said, "Please send boxes return labels." She told me I have to pay to have their equipment return. My family was in the car and kept saying they never had to pay return shipping. She kept arguing with me about shipping fee, my family member hung my phone up. I would never recommend Dish to anyone. At least Viasat sent return boxes and labels. I hope Dish goes out of business. I SHOULD HAVE SAID, "COME AND GET THIS EQUIPMENT."     If I could leave less than a star I would. The worst customer service. I swear they double bill people. I have paid my bill 2 Fridays in a row of $130. I look online they say I still owe $254!     I have had DISH two separate times in the last 20 years. I quit them the first time because of the same problems I'm having now. The hopper boxes that they supply are all bad. I have been through literally at least 15 of them through the years. They continually do the same things; glitching, pixelating, rebooting on its own, changing channels on its own, not recording things I want and recording things I don't want, Black screen with sound, picture with no sound, rewinding or fast forwarding it jumps to the extreme ends no matter where I want it, and the list goes on and on.

    This time around I've got 28 hopper boxes and tech visits. When I talk to headquarters they just blah blah me and try to set up more useless tech visits. I told them I want a discount or some other good consideration for all my hassles I'm not getting what I pay for for years. They refuse to do anything to make me happy. I have been dealing with these problems for years and they only offered me credit for two weeks! They gave me stars for free for six weeks but that's unsatisfactory. I would stay away from DISH network. Unfortunately I am stuck on a contract with DISH and can't wait to drop them at the end of the contract.

    It's ridiculous that to get Dish tv and internet. It cannot be done on the same day. And then for either one. You're told between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. They should be able to give a 2 hr. Window at most. Now you have to miss a whole day of work. And can't do anything, cause you have to sit around 8, 9, 10 hrs. To wait for them to come.

    My biggest complaint is You can't move the TV once it's set up so if you're like me and move the furniture around or move to clean you can't or the TV loses signal and it could be 2 weeks before the repair guy gets over to fix it and you get charged!!! I have done this twice. Never unplugged anything just slid the TV stand over.

    If you like watching sports DON'T get Dish. They blackout sports channels then have a guy come on the TV and explain they want more money so they blackout the event until they get it. He also tells you to spam the other side to help them out. I live in the deep country and this was the only thing available. I rather stream from a phone to the TV than give them 1 more $. And I do pay for the sports package, $140 a month and your box has to be restarted daily or the TV will just freeze. I've had them come out several times and replace the devices and still it sucks.

    I was a Dish customer for 5 yrs and 5mo and needed to return my Hopper when I canceled my account. I canceled on 29th of March 2024. I was informed that they couldn't get me a return box because it was in system as an RV account. On the 10th of April I received a bill for over $20. I contacted Dish and was informed it was because I had not returned my Hopper. They sent Mr a box to return it but that never arrived. So I contacted Dish again and they sent me an email with a shipping label for UPS. Went to UPS store and had to pay for a box to ship it back.

    I contacted Dish again and was informed that my bill included a restocking fee and a box fee. They Also said not Dish fault I can't wait around for the box they sent me to arrive. So I paid for two boxes to ship one package, no refund on any charges. I was never informed of a restocking fee if I canceled my dish. Never use Dish if you want an honest company. So miss leading, if that had sent box in March when I canceled I would have used it. They said if I ever come back I get 2 mo of Showtime for free. What a joke.

We asked the gentleman that we spoke with if this would give us access to Atlanta Braves baseball, college football, local channels? He said yes to everything except he did state that there was no local channel 2. The third day no baseball. Said that they couldn't control what the channel blacked out. I truly hate DISH Network! Once I talked to them about it they were extremely rude and said they would charge me $480 to cancel the service. Only had the service for 3 days. Tried to cancel my credit card on file and they blocked my access to it. Now I will have to take it up with my bank.     While we did have Dish for the past 7 years (no internet where we live), and the picture quality was fine. One major problem is that there are literally hundreds of wasted, unused channels. Now that we have cable and have just canceled dish it took nearly an hour on the phone, having to listen to some that I could barely understand try to sell me all sorts of options and pricing (that was never available prior) even after being told 3 times that I don't want to hear about any offers. You also have to go on your roof and take apart part of the dish receiver and send it back with the main receiver and the secondary receiver (joey). I highly recommend other options.

    My parents and my uncle switched to Dish Network - mostly due to poor service from their current provider located in The Villages, FL. Dish network has all these "promises, quality, honesty and integrity claims on their site. They stated that all local channels would be included. (NOT). ABC is not included in their area due to a dispute. This has been for about 1.5 years so far. Was not disclosed. My parents are 88 and 90 - and yes, while they could use a HD antenna - try to explain to a 90 year old how to change inputs back and forth on their TV. Fun. They are already stuck in a 24 month contract. Called Dish - they are stuck (or pay $500 to get out of the contract). Dish certainly "dishes" it out to get your business and still spews their "honesty" policy on the phone. Double check everything before you sign up with anyone - especially Dish.

    We changed from DirecTV to Dish and we found out that they included some paid channels for free for three months and they billed us for over a year and we didn’t even know it was there since we pay online and they don’t make it easy for you to see the breakdown of your bill, so they can hide things like this. Normally a promotional offer might be 10% to 15% increase on your bill, but Dish worked in a hefty promotion of about 50% of our bill. When we brought it to their attention and mentioned that the promotion in the small print was very shady, They refused to give us any refund. A month after they removed the 50% up charge, they added it back and said our 2 year discount promotion is over! So we’re switching to Hulu and hoping Dish goes under. This would be a great class action lawsuit for a firm to pull records of all the customers they stuck these up charges to.

    I had DISH for about 8 years and just got tired of them sneaking in charges, even though I was under contract. I was also charged a monthly fee for using their Hopper and Joeys. My contract just ended and they wanted to up my monthly charges by almost $50!!! I finally "cut the cord" literally and returned all their equipment. I now stream and have more channels and movies than I know what to do with. I have all Smart TVs, so no additional equipment was needed. I am thrilled and I save myself over $100/month.

    Dish makes it difficult to cancel. They try to interrogate you, running through a script: "Why do you want to cancel? Have you enjoyed it in the past? Then why are you cancelling it/Then why did you keep it for X years?" Cut through it by asking for a supervisor. It was in this back-and-forth that they suddenly offered me a $50 a month discount--well, why didn't they offer that for being a loyal customer for 10 years instead of on the precipice of cancellation?     My senior parents live in Southern OH. They had DirecTV for years and it got more and more expensive, $200. So they took Dish up on a "good" offer. $120 per month and a $500 prepaid card. My dad watches college football and Reds Baseball. I think they paid extra for the football now Baseball season and he can't watch the Reds. They can't find some channels they always had and are very frustrated. I assumed they just couldn't work the new system. I see the issue. The channels aren't there. They will be going back to DTV asap.

    I had DISH for years. Only main complaint during this time was having to buy a package to get one channel. I noticed any channel becomes a favorite it is put into a package you have to buy. I just stopped Dish. I now had to find all the parts to return, package them up and have to actually pay them to return their equipment. This required an elderly person to climb a ladder (thank God wasn't on the roof) remove equipment or hire someone. The amount of money we paid over the years, rental-extra for possible repairs- additional packages would have been enough for them to still make a good profit. Apparently refusing to go "temporary" or any of the other sales pitches we got was in retaliation. Not again.

    If you have the means to stream video, definitely do it and don't use Dish! I get so much more for almost half the price. DVR is free. DISH charges. The most jaw dropping charge was when I canceled my service, they sent a box to have me send all of THEIR EQUIPMENT to them and gave me a bill for $20 to pay for me boxing up THEIR equipment and drive to a UPS drop-off. I was told they would waive the fee, but in my next billing cycle they still billed me. I wanted to send them a bill for my labor at their labor billing rates. You will be soooo much happier with streaming your video.

    Customer over 10 years and I pay more than new individuals coming in. I called Dish to disconnect service and the wait was over 40 min. So I went online and chatted. To disconnect there is nothing on the website that allows you to disconnect. Talking to someone on the chat, they can do everything but disconnect and said the only way is to call. I called and waited 38 minutes then the line was disconnected. So I had to call back again and on hold again. Dish does not value my time and being a loyal customer. So don't expect anything if you decide to get their services for yourself.

    My mom has Dish Network and the signal stalls every evening for an hour, or so. Sometimes it starts at 7:00 pm, sometimes at 9 pm, but it does this every night. It resets every morning at 1:00 am and has to reboot before you can finish your program. She has finished her contract and will be sending the equipment back soon. I am a cord-cutter, but she will get DirecTV again.

    If you have Directv or Pioneer stay where you are. Dish is absolutely the worst. You will not get a gift card, and you will get an installation charge regardless of your credit. Mine is above 800 and I was still charged. I subscribed to the NHL Centre Ice package and what Dish delivers is trash. It is just terrible. Number 1 in customer satisfaction, I don’t believe that for a second. Stay away. For all their problems, the other providers are much easier to deal with.

    I got rid of Directv for Dish. Big mistake. I have only had it for a few months and the Joey boxes constantly need to be rebooted and sometimes that does not work. Last night it happened again and the rebooting did not work, so I called customer service to be told that they are currently too busy and was disconnected. Also, I was told that they would have AZ diamondback games for the season, to learn last night that they only have pre-recorded already played pre-season games to watch. All other providers have the Dbacks except dish. I was offered a one time 10.00 credit to my bill for this. I will be sure to tell anyone and everyone not to get dish.

    For the last month , I get code 536 when trying to watch local channels. I've called Customer service well over 20 times explaining the problem. 20 times they claim they have fixed the problem. They finally scheduled a local Dish Tech to come to house. He finds one problem. I have the wrong local channels for where I live. He gets on the phone and tells Customer service to send the correct signal for the correct local channels. So they send a signal to update, and when it's done. I still can't watch local channels, and I'm still getting the wrong local channels. I call them today 3/24/24 and tell them AGAIN. So they go thru all the motions to remote connect to my hopper, run all their tests, resend the signal, and yup you guessed right - still can't watch local channels and still the wrong channels for my area. I tell them this and Customer service hangs up on me.

    Account was under my name and after divorce Dish would not put account under ex's name- wanted the account closed so he'd have to pay the new account fee. Ex refused so I took my credit card off the account but left it active so my kids would have TV there. I had moved so all paperwork went to his address. Eventually ex canceled the account but didn't pay the final bill so Dish sent it to collections who is now coming after me.

    If you have direct TV DO NOT make the switch to Dish. I switched to Dish and in 24 hours of having it, I have to have someone come out because I have no service. Customer service was about useless. We had the same issue with Dish once before but decided to give them another chance. That was my mistake, don't make the same one.     I've been a Dish customer for almost a year. We've had all sorts of issues with understanding the customer service representatives to getting our money back. We recently over paid and have been trying to get it refunded. Every time I call to ask why the money isn't in my account on the day they said it would be, they extend the waiting period. First, it was 3 to 5 business days, a week later it was 9 business days, and now it's 19 business days. What the heck!!! Who in the world has a waiting period of 19 days. That is ridiculous. I will now be waiting until my next month's bill is due. I just want my money back!!!! This company lies and are thieves. I will not be referring my family or friends. Sorry, not sorry.

    Been a Dish customer for 8 plus years. When adding to your plan contact is easy and simple. Dish can be contacted in seconds through email, phone, or through your system. But when trying to cancel they can't be reached. Days later finally got through and canceled my account. It's been 3 months and dish is still hitting my bank account. Tried contacting them several times with no reply. Blocking dish from my account now. Maybe they will reply back then. Don't use dish.

    When I signed up for DishTV they said I would get a $100 gift card for switching from DirecTV to Dish after I paid my first bill. When I asked questions about this they said I would submit my directv bill after my first bill was paid. After two bills were paid I called about this offer and was told I needed a code for this offer. I am detailed oriented and tight with my money and would of wrote down a code on my calendar if I was given one and told I would need this code. I reviewed other reviews on other sites as well and many people are getting screwed by Dish on this offer. DishTV does not redeem offers promised at sign up.

    Signed up for Dish. New promotion. Two-year price guarantee and $500 gift card. Installation supposed to be Saturday, March 9th. Window was 12:00 - 5:00. Got a notice that it would now be 3:15 - 4:30. Then got a notice it would be after 5:00. Then got a notice it would be after 6:00. With a 2 - 3 Installation period, I found this totally unacceptable. Plus the tech claims he came by at 7:45, no one was home and left a door hanger. No truth in this at all. Just assume he did come by at 7:45, 2 - 3 hour Window on top.

    On Monday, December 12th, 2022 at 9:20 am we called DISH and spoke to Ishmael (customer service) and “supervisor” Gezel in Orlando to say we wanted to cancel our DISH service. During this call we informed DISH we would send them a check via USPS for the final payment! As promised we mailed a check to DISH in the requested amount. The check posted to our BANK acct on January 9th, 2023. DISH also charged the final amount to the credit card they had on file since we subscribed with them 10 years previously! THEY WERE PAID TWICE! We called DISH five times since - and were promised a check for $180 would be mailed to us. It’s been 15 months since DISH double charged. NO CHECK RECEIVED TO DATE!! The way they treat clients is criminal.

    Renewed contract in January. Out of country reps seem to tell you "anything about costs", just to keep business and most are difficult to understand and don't think they understand English language! I now request someone who speaks English as their first language but have to repeat my request several times before they transfer me. Sometimes I don't feel that rep is looking out for customers best deal. Have been with them 19 years and don't get what the Loyalty dept does anymore for long time customers any longer. Customer service has declined over past years! Very disappointed! May check on other options!

Then when I called they claim another bill had generated and I had to pay that also for my services to be on. This is high way robbery so they lied to me. So I got rid of them.     After filing a complaint online with the Better Business bureau Dish Network tried very hard and eventually succeeded in fixing my issues. It would just randomly stop working almost daily. They came out on four occasions, on the fourth call they replaced every piece of the system. No glitches since. The executive that contacted me was very professional and understood my frustration.     This company is the worst...I was a customer $150 monthly customer for 18 years. They forced me to update to a hopper due to my poor service provided by them and this was their only solution. I told them numerous times on the phone that I was not renewing my contract with them because of my poor service. They sent the hopper to me....The problem was not fixed. Hit and miss service constantly....I finally disconnected due to not having a tv 50% of the time and they proceeded to turn me in to collections for 106$ due to lying about me signing a new contract....When asked to provide contract to me there was no reply and poor customer service....I finally paid the money to get rid of them. My money for "new service" after 18 years of dedication to them.... Please do yourself a favor and get YouTube TV...Dish is awful....I cannot say that enough!!!

    I had DISH and signed up for local channels which they charged me for. I never had Fox ever but was charged for it and then lost 3 other local stations but they kept charging me the same price. I cancelled and they said about an early termination fee and I said I never signed no contract. They sent me a bill but I refuse to pay it. They charged me the whole time I didn’t get everything I was paying for. I definitely am not paying for early termination. YouTube TV is the way to go. And I have my local channels!!

    In November of 2022 ABC has not been seen on Dish Network in Atlanta market. I've been told over and over that they have been trying to work out a deal to get ABC back on but that's a complete and total lie. They've been charging me for this local station every month but not delivering it. If you're thinking of dish TV please go have your head examine because you would be an idiot to do any kind of business with these thieves. They try to tell you they're negotiating with Cox media but I have talked to someone that I know that works there and have found out they walked away from the negotiation table back in April of 2023 but yet they continue to charge their customers for channel they're not providing. You call and you hear the same written out message they have to read to everyone.

    Do yourself a favor never ever ever do business with Dish TV. Now I see they're trying to push Boost Mobile on people. I was actually interested in boost Mobile until I found out they over affiliated with dish TV. Now I wouldn't give them a penny of my money. If you don't want to get ripped off stay away from dish TV. They lie. Still do whatever they want to do and get away with it and it's time for their lies to end. I am lodging a complaint with the FCC against dish Network for their fraudulent charging of customers for channels they're not getting.

    After several months now of this service, the cable has gone out at least a half dozen times where the screen says acquiring signal in 5 minutes and nothing happens. Their tech people try to solve the issue remotely and are successful 25% of the time. I'm ready to throw Wally through the window. The complex I live in selected them and mandatory you use them. Worst cable service I've ever had. Avoid at all costs if you can.

    I called to cancel my account and I was put on hold for several minutes. A representative got on and she talked me into staying with a lower price and I had to commit for a year. I agreed to this and when she was reading the final agreement it changed to two years. I did not catch this until I hung up. I ended up canceling after a year and got charged a early termination fee. Listen very closely if you call Dish. Dishonest crooks, they will never get any business from me again.

    With so many options for TV and streaming with broadband internet, their TV service is going to be extinct shortly. Why? Packages - they are terrible, you have to pay for 10 channels you will never watch for every one you want. Re-runs - most everything on the network is re-runs, very little material is actually new content. And, much of the time the same program is playing on multiple channels! Why on earth do I need the same program on several channels at the same time? On-demand movies cost extra - that's usually what you get when you pay for a streaming service, i.e. programming on demand! Yet Dish gives you a bunch of junk for your subscription and then charges you to actually see what you want! Wake up Dish!!! Don't you see what's coming?

    DISH removed ABC from the channel lineup over a year ago due to contract negotiation. DirecTV recently did the same but had it resolved in less than 2 weeks. DISH tells you to access ABC through other platforms so it doesn’t seem they have any intention of bringing it back.

    For eight months now I have been waiting for the $500 gift card I was promised for changing from Directv to Dish. I did everything required and within the 90 day period. I have a voicemail from them saying that the card would be here in three to four weeks. That was in November. After numerous calls and even more case numbers assigned to this problem, I was told yesterday that they would apply a one time offer of $150. I refused this offer so once again I’ve been given another case number. This falls under false advertising and fraud. I sure hope someone is paying attention here because I think a class action suit is going to be the only resolution.

    We canceled our service because we moved and signed up for cable with internet. At that time, we were told to send back the boxes and a part from the actual dish in the box that they would provide. We waited over a month and no box came. Several phone calls were placed and every time I was told “You have plenty of time to return the equipment before charges for the equipment were applied” even though I was getting weekly threatening emails indicating the equipment needed to be returned. I even asked where could I drop off the equipment instead of waiting for a box, but was told that was not an option.

    Finally after 2 months, the box came and we mailed out the equipment within 48 hours because frankly, I was tired of “warehousing” their equipment. I received a confirmation email indicating they received their equipment and called again asking why there was still a $528.94 charge on my account. The representative indicated that “the equipment needed to be checked and then the billing office would remove this charge”. It has been two weeks since they received the equipment and now I received a bill that the $528.94 needs to be “paid immediately”. Stay away from this company, their customer service is nonexistent.

    In Jan of 2020, I signed up for DISH at a new rental. After only having the service for 3 months I had to move out due to plumbing issues and because it was the beginning of Covid rentals were hard to come across, which led me into moving in with a family member whom already had cable services so I was unable to cancel. I put the account on pause in hopes of moving out and restarting services and not having to pay an insane cancellation fee of over $400. This went on for 4 years and I paid a monthly fee to keep it on pause, when I realized I wasn't going to be able to use the services again I sent back the boxes and they sent me a bill for over $400.

    They weren't willing to work with me on payments or waive the fee being this occurred during a national pandemic and the circumstances. They have since sent my account to collections, when I told them I was willing to pay. This is horrible customer service and they have completely taken advantage of a customer. Never again will I use them or refer them to anyone else. The monthly pause fee I paid each month for 4 years should've applied to the cancellation fee, as it was well over the owed amount. Terrible company!!

    We have had Dish since 2006. My son wanted a TV in his room. I called dish. They said we had to sign a 2 year contract. What they gave him was not a DVR because it didn't record nor could you play recordings on it. It quit working 2 1/2 years later and when I tried to send it back they didn't want it. So now I'm responsible for throwing away that piece of garbage. I had to rent it. And they don't want it back.

    Do not use Dish satellite, they hike up the price for the service one requests, from one second to the other! Then calling them up and asking why the spike in price they come up with I don't know how many excuses, that the price is now different! When I wanted to cancel, it was a nightmare. I told them to charge me only to a certain date, as I was moving. Nevertheless they billed me the whole month anyway. They just do whatever they like to do and that is charging more and taking advantage by charging more money to hardworking people. I will never use dish services ever again! They are not an honest company, besides they are quite expensive for the service they are providing.

    For me, it was a very bad experience to have to deal with them. It was a nightmare, as well, for being able to cancel the service again. Not only that it took days to get through to someone, leaving numberless voicemails and never ever anybody returning my calls, on top the representative I asked to cancel, was super insisting in trying to persuade me into buying again a dish service from them in another state. I had to tell her, I don't know how many times, that I was not interested in their services anywhere else on this planet. I never would recommend Dish to anybody!

    Would definitely give 0 stars if it was an option. Went into a contract with them with the promise of a $400 rewards card. Was never provided the correct information to redeem it, called many times and it was just repeated that I would receive it. Finally found out after a year of trying to get it, that it was no longer redeemable after 3 months. Again, was never sent the info to redeem. Cancelled the contract due to them failing to provide what was promised going into the contract. They waived the cancellation fee, but I still got a bill.

    When I called back, the person I spoke to said that the waiver wasn’t noted and that there was no way to cancel the fee. Insisted she was the highest up I could talk to and wouldn’t transfer me. In my opinion, Dish network is operating on a fraudulent basis. Money, money, money….they don’t care about the people. My family and friends have all canceled service with them, and will never be back or recommend to anyone else.

    They have lied to me when I first signed up that it would be easy to terminate once we don't want it anymore. Well either way, we have had this crap set up sense 2022 and it's been well over two years. There's no way there should be any contract left for this CRAP SERVICE that we DONT EVEN USE!!!! I stopped paying it and now they are demanding the money and harassing me via phone.

    I had my service transferred to my new home. When the technician arrived to install the satellite we were told that if we ever canceled that the satellite would be removed from our roof and repaired at no charge well just canceled service and was told that I would be charged $50 to have someone remove and repair the roof as that is not one of the items that needs to be returned. Had we been told that when they arrived the dish never would have been installed. I have been a customer for over 4 years and have always paid extra for the protect plan which is absolutely no good for anything also nowhere in the agreement does it state that there will be a charge and now they are trying to charge me for the boxes to return there equipment. Poor customer service and took me 5 people and being hung up on 4 times to get to talk to a supervisor. I wil go without tv before I will ever go back to them again.

    Customer Service with Dish Network is very poor. We signed up with Dish Network one year ago and from the beginning, it was a very bad experience. I received a sales flyer in the mail that had an offer on it. We just moved and my previous supplier we had since 2001 Comcast was not available where we moved. The next day I called in and signed up with Dish. I told them exactly what the ad stated and they said yes I was going to get that offer. I was also to get a $100 gift card for signing up.

    When the installer came out while he was installing the service he was telling us how Dish Network and Hughesnet were awful companies to deal with and work for. He told us that Dish was trying to get everyone locked in because DirecTV was coming out with a new service that was going to be much better. At that time he told me what my bill was going to be. It was completely different from what I agreed with.

    I called customer service and they told me that the offer I told them about was expired. I told them I was not settling for that. I wanted them to go back to the recording and listen to it and see what I was told. I finally got a manager that would do this and she did. Found out that what I was saying was the truth so she said she was going to put a $20 credit on my account each month to correct this issue for the term of my account contract.

    We then lost Channel 11, a local channel that we watched all the time. Still to this day, we do not have it. I called in to find out about this and remembered I never received the $100. I was told the gift card would be loaded within 5-7 business days to my dish account for me to claim. I waited and never received it. I called back two or three times and was told the same thing every time. Then I called back in and was told I will not get the $100 because I was receiving a $20 credit each month. This is not my issue. Their agent was in the wrong and did not know what she was selling, so because she was in the wrong I lost out on a gift card that I was to receive for signing up.

    I spoke with the escalations department and that gentleman gave me vouchers for free movies. We were extremely busy and did not order them. I realized that they were going to expire on December 18th, I had three of them. On December 17th I ordered all the movies. I got my bill and was charged for 2 of them. I called in on January 8th and I was told by two agents that they saw the certificates and that they would remove the charges. I was on hold for over an hour and the manager said, "Sorry we can not credit your account." After he told me, "Please be patient while I override the system to credit you." Because of the $20 credit that was on my account from the very first agent messing up.

    I told him I wanted to talk to someone else. I told them it was not a credit, it was removing a charge that they put on for no reason. He said I am the highest you can go and I can not remove it. My husband got on the phone and argued with him. He said, "Please hold." About 5 minutes later he told me it was credited. So I wasted 1.5 hours fighting with Dish Network for a charge that never should have been put on my account. Then I ask for the Corporate's email address and they tell me they don't have one. I have to send them a physical letter. So my advice to you is for any conversation that you have with this company make sure you record it because you are probably going to need it.

    Do not go to Dish or any of their affiliates. They will Lie to you to get you in a 2 year contract. I’m a 20 plus year customer, they got me to agree to a certain price for two years for an agreed amount. 6 weeks after I had the contract my wife noticed a few Channels missing that we have had all along. I called Dish and they said I agreed to go from The Choice 200 channels to the 120 Choice channels. I did not approve this change, Dish claimed my bill was being set to a certain price due to they were going to not charge me for my Joeys that I had been renting for $7.00 a month since I received them in 2018. How long does it take to pay for this crap anyway? They totally suck in my book, go to YouTube Hulu or any of the other streaming possibilities. With Dish you have to put up with faulty equipment, weather related losses, etc…

    In today's world satellite is the way of the past. I’m sure Streaming is not perfect, but please take my advise and go somewhere else where you won’t be lied to. Be careful though. Dish owns a streaming company as well with very high ratings. They own several other companies including Sling. I’m going to make sure I stay away from anything they own. And, you should do the same. One thing I really hate in life is being lied to and I was point blank lied to. I was a 20 year plus customer, how do you think they will treat a new customer in time. They will trick you into joking the Dish team and in time will begin to lie and trick you. The next thing you know you're basically making a car payment to watch TV every month.

    I’m considering cutting the cord altogether. I might buy the best over the air antenna, keep a few movie streaming movie channels and cut my Bill from over $200.00 to less than $50.00 for a couple streaming movie companies. Be like me and let’s show big companies like Dish they are overcharging and cheating Americans and other Countries as well.

    I was with Dish for a few months, was able to receive the equipment but was never able to use it due to the services that was provided, had multiple techs try to come and fix it and nothing was working to I disconnect my service with them and they charged me over $400 because my reason for a disconnect wasn't in the agreement. I find this a very scummy way to get customers paying for a service they wasn't receiving. Would not recommend anyone using DISH due to the fact that they don't care about your services. They just want your money....

    We have been with DISH for a number of years. I just received an email letting me know the bill is increasing 30% for no given reason. Tried to contact customer service but that was a waste of time. The service is bad, we lose the signal all the time and we are paying for mostly junk. Maybe 6 stations are being watched. The rest is junk. It is time to get rid of DISH and go streaming!

    I signed up with DISH Network and they had a $400 Visa card advertisement with the sign up. Didn't get it, called so many times, was told it was sent and given a card number then transferred to the card activation center each time who could not help as they had no record of the card. Still to this date there is no record they sent the card. Can't get any help just transfers with no follow/up. Come to the conclusion it's a scam, just kept being told it must have been sent!!!! Will cancel as soon as the contract expires.

    I decided to try Dish for my tv service. I called and decided on a package and the sale person told me I would have 15 days to decide but failed to remind me of the early termination fee. He said I had 15 days from date of install which was 12/23/2023. When I called to say I changed my mind the agent told me that I would be charged $480 early termination. Since the sales person said I had 15 days I had no idea I would be charged so I asked the agent to submit my claim to review department since our conversation was in a recorded line. I did reinstate my service on the tv/hopper and called to let Dish know I would keep the service and to make sure I would not be charged $480 but I was charged. I called today because I got my bill and sure enough I did get charged. I was told if I cancel today I would be charged another early termination fee of $480. There is something wrong with the way Dish does business.

    I have just realized that Dish has been charging me for "protection" that I cancelled well over a year ago! During the pandemic I went online to see if I could lower our monthly bill. At that moment I saw we were being charged $10.00 for "protection" coverage that I had not authorized. I cancelled it immediately. Now I see it was added back onto my bill again without my knowledge over a year ago! It totals more than $100.00! I'm livid. I will be talking to customer service today but I don't expect any joy. I also added a subscription to a channel but realized I didn't want it the same day. Dish charged $5.00 to cancel it or I had to pay $16.00 for a full month! Nowhere in the subscription process was this mentioned! The customer service person agreed with me when I complained about this sneaky charge! She said, "Dish should be more transparent with their charges". No kidding.

    I don't think I'm over reacting when I say Dish is not good! Make sure you check your bill monthly to make certain they haven't added charges you did not approve. I should've been more alert. How much money have these people made charging people who don't pay attention? Our problem is we can't get cable because we are in a rural area but I'm going to be researching other options TODAY.

    It seems they believe everyone has a very short memory. I called to cancel after the repeated price hikes. They offered a $30 credit and a price freeze for 12 months, if I committed for the same time. I agreed only if I received a confirmation via email, they complied. Lo & behold just just three months later they raised their rates again. I called and cancelled service, they totally ignored reference to the email I saved. I remained adamant not wanting to deal with an unethical company, they respected my request. Now they are billing me $20 per month for not honoring my 12 month commitment. Ironically, I've never missed or been late on a bill. No company can survive without ethics. I still have mine.

    Over the past several months, we have had continuing problems with this TV service. The receiver quits and need to be rebooted for no apparent reason and the just today, I could not access a free movie from the recorded data. I could not view it, delete it, it was frozen and two calls to customer service did not resolve the problem. To add insult to injury Dish water to charge to send a technician out to fix their problem.

    Was a Dish customer for 20 years and recently ended service as they had been without 2 of our favorite stations for over a year. Had to spend way too much time convincing the rep I really wanted to cancel but finally succeeded and was told I had a final $10 bill to stop service so OK. Took them over a week to get me the return box for their hopper and even before it came they were leaving me voicemails threatening legal action if I didn’t return their equipment. And then they charge me a final bill for $28 and I know it wasn’t for any prorated service. Figure I gave them over $15,000 over the last 20 years and this is how they treat a 20 year customer.

    I have been a customer of Dish for 28 yrs. I recently agreed to a contract renewal price on the phone, which was recorded. When I received my bill the price was raised well above the agreed upon price. I have called Dish repeatedly, only to be lied to. I am continually told someone will call me back. When they do not, I am told "the ticket was never submitted." I have asked for them to review the original phone call when the contract was renewed, since Dish claims they record all calls. Of course, this is never possible. This entire mess sounds like a proverbial scam. I cannot imagine what else they could screw up.

    Poor customer service. Recording devices are in-home boxes which are inferior to other providers on-line recording capabilities. Amazon Prime, which we watched for years, is now unwatchable - typically does not even allow access. Finally, against my specific instructions, they "gave" us two additional pay services (Stars, which we already had, and Dish package). Then charged an additional $30/month. Was on the phone over 30 minutes with customer service to complain and demand our money be refunded - they charge for 3 months. Customer service rep was at a disadvantage since she barely understood English. She finally refunded $12. Dish is, in our experience the last six months, inferior in service and overpriced. Unfortunately we signed their standard minimum contract of 3 years. Don't make the same mistake we did.

    I've been a customer for 21 years...That's right. 21 years. 1.5 years ago I decided to trade in my VIP receiver and sign up for the Hopper and Joey receivers. In six months they raised my rate THREE times for $22. One year after that, that raised my rate another $6 totaling $28. I had had enough. I canceled and because I had ended my contract 6 months early, they charged me a total of $158.64. I called and talked to Escalation Department to discuss this to cancel or at least reduce this in light of my 21 years of loyalty and their 30% rate raise in 6 months. Their response... NO EXCEPTIONS!!

    In addition, the Hopper was terrible. I had more problems with it in the first 6 months than I had in 10 years with the VIP receiver. DISH has gone from the best TV/channel service 5 years ago to the absolute worst, on price, product, and service. I cannot emphasize this more: DO NOT GO WITH DISH! DirecTV and streaming services are all better and cheaper, I know because I have tried them since leaving DISH.

    Original Review: Moved, postponed my account because we were not allowed to have cable. They will take out the full payment, even if you're not using the service. They will find a way to get money from you. I'm just trying to save you a headache.

    Our company has been a long-time customer with Dish. I pull all of our invoices from the portal the day they are generated. Checks are mailed out the same day. The due date is 10 days from the date the invoice is generated. We just had our service interrupted because the USPS is slow due to the holidays. When I tried to change our account to one that has more flexibility, I was told the cancellation would be effective immediately and I would need to wait 60 days to get service again on a different type of plan. No other options were available. If I had not just spent $600 on equipment, I would cancel my service completely. Absolutely horrified at how Dish does their business!!! If I could give zero stars, I would have.

    Absolutely horrible company.. Have had them for about 3 years now.. and every year without fail we lose channels.. For the past YEAR I have been without channel 2.. A year dispute.     I have had Dish network for over 20 years, unfortunately I had to file BK and they shut me off for 2 days then had the audacity to put me on pre pay, I have NEVER been late with 1pmt.     I contacted DISH on November 21, 2023 for cable television, but only Because the other companies claimed that they didn't serve our location. DISH said that they would be out to set up our services that afternoon. And, yes, they arrived. However, our apartment management let the technician in and refused to allow them to set up service for us. It was at this time that we found out that the apartment complex had their own cable and internet service. So I immediately contacted DISH and informed them that the service had to be canceled because the management would not allow their services here. I went through hell trying to get this customer service representative to understand. He kept want to reschedule. I told him that rescheduling is out of the question. Management will NOT allow their services period. We finally got him to cancel the services and they were to refund our money, that day, on November 21st.

    I just got off the phone again with them and just found that they didn't set the refund up until yesterday, the 27th and they said it could take seven business days for us to get our refund. They have really put us in a financial bind. My husband and I could have used this money now for groceries and other necessities, but we are left hanging for another week. This business is a nightmare! Never again. Even if I had a choice, I would not use them. I will do without television first.

    I hate to get it a one star because they suck with service and entitlements. I was told my service wasn't going to go up for three years. They lied. It went up in 4 mos. from $93 a month to $130.00 a month. And being a Veteran I would receive one free movie per month. They lied about that I got charged for it and it stop streaming after 15 minutes. I never got to see the whole movie. So must I say any more. Good luck with your service if you get it.

    I have been a happy and loyal Dish Network consumer for 20+ years. I would grumble about the monthly cost but overall felt it was a valued service until lately. I would call each year and they’d provide a price break given my loyalty until about a year ago. In early January 2023 I lost one of five local channels. In September (23) I lost two more channels, leaving me with only one network for local channels. Despite repeated requests they “could not” prorate my local channel charge. It wasn’t big money just $12 a month, it was the principle!

    Via multiple correspondences w/ Alicia ** Corporate Case Manager Executive Escalation Team I learned that even though we customers are charged $12 monthly for local channels the cost is actually .75 per channel!! I canceled my local channels and then just recently cancelled all my service w/ them. I suspect they are under extreme pressure as there are a ton of streaming options out there for less $. Dish Network is now a dinosaur!! I actually now split YouTube TV w/ someone and am very happy - no receivers and full access to all the channels I had w/ Dish and more for a fraction of the cost!

    Take my advice and don’t waste your time and money with this company. Anytime it rains you will lose service and don’t expect local channels 2 or 9. You won’t get them even though you’re paying for them. When you call customer service you’ll get John but by his accent you’ll know he’s not John. That’s his American name. If you upgrade your plan your 2 year contract will start over. Something that John won’t explain very well. Starlink is a much better option and a lot cheaper plus you’ll have TV and internet not just TV like Dish. I wasted my money with this crappy company. Learn from my mistakes and don’t do the same. Trust me. You can do better. Ps Dish you suck. Do better.

    I have been a Dish customer for over 12 years. Decided to cancel this month because of significant price increase plus we kept losing channels (particularly local channels, which I paid extra for). The night I called, the Dish customer service number wouldn't even ring through. Tried for almost 45 minutes then got on a chat window. Was 33rd in line for getting a live chat agent! Waited over 40 minutes for that person, all the while trying the 800 number. After getting the agent, I went through a back-and-forth with him, as he tried to figure out why I was cancelling. Then, finally when he realized he wasn't going to sway me (at least 20 minutes later) he tells me I can't cancel through chat, I have to CALL customer service.

    I told him the number wasn't working in all caps, but he wouldn't budge. After leaving the chat very frustrated, I called the 800 number multiple times and Finally got through about 30 minutes later. Waited on hold for another 30 minutes and finally got a person. Yes, folks, I spent the ENTIRE evening trying to cancel my Dish. The agent I got, his name was **, hassled me, quizzed me about what channels I watched, offered me $90! off my bill for a year (if they can do that, they can lower price) and finally relented and cancelled acct but told me I'd have to pay $20 Per shipping box to return the equipment AND climb up to the dish on the house for some part. I refused that 2nd thing and he grudgingly waived it (I'm old).

    I'm angry that I have to pay for TWO shipping charges when the equipment I have would fit in ONE box. DO NOT EVER SIGN UP FOR DISH. Our dish was always losing signal during even just a light rain, their Prices are Ridiculous, their customer service stinks, and they're always fighting with some station for costs while leaving their customers without that programming for MONTHS. And if that's not bad enough, when you do decide to leave, you're hassled and coerced, and then CHARGED because you dared to leave them. Update: As of 11/15/23, I'm STILL trying to get the boxes so I can send the equipment back. I'm told I have until Dec 3rd to return it or be charged, even though I called three times now, trying to get boxes. It's a racket. This way they can charge you more since they're not getting your money from subscribing and if you don't pay, it will affect your credit. STAY AWAY FROM DISH.

    I just got the Dish Network Hopper DVR two weeks ago. IT'S TERRIBLE TECHNOLOGY!! DO NOT BECOME A DISH NETWORK CUSTOMER!! It has already ruined three recorded games for me. Three different times within the last two weeks I had a game recorded that I was looking forward to watching at a time more suitable for my schedule. When I went to watch the recorded game I tapped the 30 second go ahead button on the remote to forward past the commercials, then it took me to the end of the game and showed the final score!! THREE DIFFERENT GAMES! :( If you're a sports fan and like to forward past the commercials, don't become a Dish Network customer. Their DVR Hopper technology is awful!!

    I paid $20.00 for “Premium Installation” = first appointment of the day so no unexpected delays. Email received 11/7 stated: Arrival between 8:00 and 9:00am. Text received 11/8 at 7:58 stated: Arrival between 8:00 and 9:00am. Checked on “Track My Tech”: stated arrival between 9:00 and 10:15am. Actual arrival was at 8:45, met understanding, but hard on my ulcer!

    Before signing up with Dish I asked: What do you need to do to operate the TV? Further explaining I did not want my mother to be required to do anything other than push Power On, Power Off, Chanel Up, Chanel Down, Volume Up, or Volume Down. I was told, by the sales person, that was all she would need to do. In reality my mother would need to hit “Power On” then “Select” (an extra button I was not told about.)

    During the sign-up process with the Dish sales person, I asked about the dish itself and if it would go out every time it rains. I was told there wouldn’t be a dish, the receiver gets its “signal from the sky.” I interpreted this to mean the Dish Satellites communicated directly with the receivers. Not the case, the service technician installed a dish on the roof of the house. During installation, after drilling holes in my roof and installing the dish, the installers determined they could not get a good signal and could not install DISH. They claim they to have repaired the roof holes – TBD!

He acknowledged the long wait times to reach someone at the 800 number to cancel service and said there was no excuse but that they needed to do better. He then advised that they would be refunding the charges for the last two months when I was not using their service.

    After the 2 yr contract expired, the monthly DishTV service cost increased considerably. The only way to cancel the service is to call an 800 number. No one answered the number even after waiting on hold for at least ten minutes twice and 30 minutes another time. They then keep charging you even if you're no longer using the service until they call you about an outstanding balance. I would never use this company again.

    Every time I needed support I had to wait on phone for an hour. I started threatening cancelation then they answer phone real fast. My bill tripled so I called to actually cancel when I was told about new promo for same price as I was paying (I think that's what they said, did not speak English well at all). I agreed only to find more than half channels were removed leaving me with stuff I don't watch. Borderline scam in my opinion. If they are wondering why thousand are cancelling maybe they should read these reviews. I do not recommend Dish at all. Go anywhere else, can't be worse than these guys.

    Had issue watching watching on demand. Called customer service originally 11am. Was told Bobby Flay Triple Threat canceled. Which was False. When you call customer service you get a call back in 20 to 45 minutes. I spent too much time on the phone. Finally they said service will be out between noon and 5. Next call said ETA 130 - to 230. Ok that morning I was 40 miles away. I rushed home for appt. home. Next call said 345 to 445. Next call said 445 to 515. We had plans for 5pm. I rescheduled for Sunday. Not having any faith and didn’t want to waste another day I cancelled.

    Thinking back on other problems like when I first signed up and had so many problems having to reset modem a few times a day for months until they finally changed my modem. Amazing after the change I had no issues. Over the summer customer service told me Fox was cancelled when I was trying to watch it remotely at my camp. I felt I needed to cancel Dish. This resulted in 40 plus argument with the supervisor who was actually calling me names. I have no patience for phone systems where you can’t speak to a human asap. This week I will be shopping and pretty sure I will have to pay a couple hundred $$ for early cancelation. It will be worth every Penny. Bye bye Dish.

    We used DISH Network for our cable company for several years. Like most of these subscription services where you are under contract, when the contract ends, they raise your rates. When you try to leave them, they make you jump through hoops to cancel your service. DISH customer service, in this department, is a nightmare. First they're syrupy sweet, trying to convince you to stay, they try to talk you into a "pause" in service which just lengthens your contract, and when you stand firm, and they finally figure out that you are leaving, they turn sour and bitter like a jilted ex, threatening that you'll never find anyone better, and that you'll owe big fines if you fail to return their equipment (as if they would use 3 year-old hoppers and joeys again)...

    The jerk even went so far as to tell me I would have to climb up on my roof to remove some pieces off the dish itself, to return to them. I refused to climb onto my roof, and he said there would be a charge for not returning all their equipment. I said, if I fall off my roof, there would be a lawsuit filed against DISH. He said he'd waive the fee on that part of the equipment, but I better return the joey and hoppers; they'll be sending me the return boxes, but I have to pay the $20 shipping charge. I said I'd drop the equipment at a local office if he'd provide me with an address; he said the nearest store to me is hundreds of miles away and I'd have to mail the boxes back. I said I won't pay shipping because it's not my fault they don't have more stores nationwide. He said he'd waive the shipping charge. It was a battle, getting through that phone call.

    When I got my final bill, it still showed that I owed the $20 shipping charge, so I called them again, and went through the whole story, finally getting an agent who could/would read through all the notes on my account to see that the fee had been waived. I was told to just pay the final bill amount, minus that $20, and that it would be removed from the statement in due time. So I promptly paid my final bill, minus the $20 and DISH promptly used my credit card on file (even though I had removed it when I disconnected my service) to automatically charge me the $20 shipping charge. I had to call them again to get them to reverse the charge and refund my credit card. They promised to do so, and to give it 7 to 10 business days. I waited patiently and on the 11th business day, I checked my credit card statement online, and there was no refund.

    By now, I'm on call number five to DISH customer service. Again, they apologized, after first explaining that the charge is standard and I'd have to pay it, and then I told them to read the notes and then they said, "Oh okay, that'll be refunded." They claimed there was a mistake made by the last agent and they'll resubmit the ticket, blah blah blah... Wait another 7 to 10 business days. I asked to speak with a supervisor. The "supervisory specialist" (LOL) had to be reminded to read the notes after he told me the shipping charge was standard. Once he realized I'd been told the fee was waived but still charge the fee, he said he'd expedite the refund to my credit card; could take 7 to 10 business days, but refunds to credit cards usually go through in 3-5 business days.

    Long story short, I cancelled my service with DISH on Sept. 28th, 2023, I paid my final bill (minus the $20) on Sept. 30th, 2023, I returned all their equipment which they received on Oct. 12th, 2023, and on Oct. 13th, 2023 they automatically charged my credit card (with no authorization to continue using that card since my service had been officially cancelled since Sept. 28th) $20 for the shipping. DISH Network customer service is the worst; 5 phone calls, waiting on hold, getting redirected to other agents more "qualified" to help, and jumping through a multitude of hoops, being threatened with extra charges... More trouble than they're worth, and never again.

    In this day and age when we have so many other options for TV viewing, you'd think a cable company would work harder to make their customer service top notch, but not DISH Network. They don't care. Do yourself a favor and stay away from DISH Network. Since leaving them, we've cut the cable cord entirely and happily streaming!

    DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM DISH OUTDOORS! I had a king pro satellite for 4 months and then it refused to work. After hours with tech support, it was indicated it was a faulty satellite. It is under warranty and I was transferred and given multiple numbers and still never able to contact a person about a replacement. They have not been able to help me and the warranty is useless. If I could give them negative stars I would. They refuse to help in any way and refuse to honor warranties and send you to a third party (PACE) that goes to voicemail and never returns your call. It is by far the worst company I have ever dealt with.

    It's really frustrating when most of the sports teams we watch are televised on Fox. We've tried downloading the Fox app on our tablet, but can't watch on there either because the channel isn't approved by our provider. We left DirecTV because of the same situation.     Fed up with Dish. Raised our rates then duped us into a 2 year contract paying same but less channels, AND, removed local Fox channel plus 3 others. Was not able to watch Superbowl, and almost a year later, can't watch World Series. Their solution, pay per view, add a Channel, or satellite. Don't have internet, don't want a longer contract, and if I had access to internet or a satellite, I sure as, you know what, wouldn't have them. 1 year to go and I am dropping them like a hot potato.

    I moved and wanted to move my service. They didn't have a tech available for almost 3 weeks. I was told I couldn't have my bill frozen for not having the service available. Well that gave me time to try out YouTube TV live and I love it!! $60 cheaper, no contract. So I call to cancel service and I'm told that they can pause my service. Now that I want to cancel they want to treat me better. I still canceled. They sent me a link to pay my last month. I paid the last month through the link and I got a message saying my service was restored. So now I have to go through the cancelation process again. Both times I was on hold over 15mins waiting for someone.

    They are also trying to bill me for service this whole month, when I haven't had service since the 5th. They've canceled service appointments without telling me. I would get a automatic text message saying someone will be by at this time. No one shows up so I call and they said I don't have an appointment. I have the text message saying I do. Terrible company. Not like it was 10 yrs ago.

    Had service for 4 months now and every other day, I have to re set their equipment, I cannot watch anything without doing this, they have sent their technicians because I asked for them, they come, “fix it” and leave; the following day I find myself facing the same issues. This is a horrible service provider, stay away from them, DirecTV may be slightly higher in price but their service is excellent, or go with the other platforms available, but stay away from Dish Network, I should have done that I regret it everyday.

    A Company as Dish Network should be more respective of their clients. I was told my contractor Had ended and that the cost of my new one was going to be $30 more. Ask if there was a promotion where I could get it less. I’m on a fixed budget. They automatically put me on the lowest package they have, which is the same cost as what I’m paying now that left me with none of the channels that I actually watched call back. Talk to a representative. There’s nothing I can do if you want the other channels you have to pay for them it means nothing to them for being a loyal customer.

    This tech came to my house a used wayyyy too much wire!! Had scraps of wire left all in my yard!! Then drilled a whole in my vinyl siding and ram open wire all around in my house a stapled loose wire a foot about the floor!! Looks terrible!! I’m not impressed at all!! Our side he just left the wire over my steps. Didn’t even try to hide it!! Left my house a mess with wire and Sheetrock dust!! Do better!! I have another tech coming Friday to fix it supposedly!! If it’s done right I will be glad to remove this post!!

    I switched DISH Network 2 months ago and have been disappointed in them. Customer Service is no help either. I was told I would be able to watch the Utah Jazz basketball games that the channel that airs the game is offered in the channel line up I was getting. Now they started per season games and I can't watch them, I called customer service to see if I just need to change my channel line up to watch it and they said no, they don't show preseason games and the regular season only offers some of the games. So frustrated in them. Then they promise a gift card to switch and I have not received a gift card. If you are looking for a cable company DON'T GO WITH THEM.

    DO NOT SIGN UP. AS BAD AS TIME SHARE CANCELATION. CHARGE YOU TO CANCEL. I was an 18yr customer of Dish. Years ago they were ok. One of the biggest advantages was I could pause my service and reinstate any time. When I reinstated 2 years ago they resumed my service for Huge increase. I requested to cancel. They made me an offer to reduce my bill (still $10 higher than before) and hold that price for 2 years. Time on pause would not count towards the period. I paused it for 2 months. When I reinstated the price shot up, yet I could not cancel without an over $200 cancelation fee. Keep in mind I had a limited channel package that was supposed to be $55/mo. This is how they treat an 18yr Customer. I will take out ads to discourage anyone from signing up. Not a wonder they have so many NEGATIVE Reviews. Glad to be able to take down the ugly dish too.

    Called in to cancel my service which took about 45 min to get a live person. This is such bad business that they try and make it a headache, time consuming and then give you a hard time to just cancel your service. I explained to them that they never had my address correct. I cancelled well before the end of my monthly service date. A few days ago my account showed a zero balance and after an hour and a half on the phone they were supposed to be sending whatever for me to send their 8 year old equipment back to them. So this evening I was worried that the guy on the phone did not update my address because we still have received anything in the mail. I logged in and clicked on the chat.

    I explained that I needed to confirm that they had the correct address. In the middle of the chat I went out just to find a picture of my zero balance to show them and ask about some new charge already showing up. When I came back I was logged out and couldn’t get back in. It said to log in, but was not showing me the log in screen. Only showed me one option. Restart your service. I clicked that just to see if I could then get back to the chat. Then I saw for a few seconds, where the previous chat said they would send my kit to the correct address.

    But then that chat disappeared and a new chat started. I explained the situation. This guy said, "Well you have to call in to cancel your service." I said, "No, I don’t. I don’t have service." He says, "It was restarted." I said, "No y’all kicked me out of the system and that was the only choice to get back in." They will not be getting another dime from me. Now I have to call my bank to make sure they don’t try and charge my account. I am considering getting my attorney to send a letter. This is deceitful and bad business. How are they getting away with treating people like this???? They obviously don’t want anyone to return treating their customers like this. I was with them for years. NEVER AGAIN. NOT ANOTHER DIME OUTTA ME! Don’t even co-sister this deceitful company.

    Cancel my services and they were supposed to send me a box to return the equipment but they never did. Two three months later they were charging me for the unreturned equipment. Contacted them to see what was going on and they told me that they had a problem with UPS sending the boxes to the customers. So I told them to remove the charges until they send the boxes but they told me that they couldn't do it, that they were going to send me another box. Waited for the box and it never showed up but they were still charging me for the equipment even though it wasn't my fault.

    Called them again cuz the balance was about to be report to collections and they still couldn't do anything so I offered to return the equipment to a drop off place but they don't have any place so I told them to just send me the label so I can send the equipment myself. I got the label, bought a box and sent it back. They received the package and they were still charging me. Call them to have the charges remove and they say it was going to take 48 hours. Overall I had a really bad experience with them. I don't think I'll ever do business with them again.

    Dish TV is pathetic, currently ABC has been off the air for 11 months, now NBC is off the air! You go to their website or speak to them about this issue and they tell you to call the station managers. They tell you they are trying resolve the stations they are no longer offered but we’re going on a year! Does the customer get a discount for services not provided….No is what you get for an answer. Dish tv sucks. Their customer care support sucks, if you can even get a hold of them! Don’t buy into their lies. Go with directv or cable.

    Sent tech to service home who left 2 pieces he said was a workaround to get my rv hooked up which is what I was led to believe I was getting. Gave me a number to call to straighten it out. Wrong number. Dish would not give the company or tech name so I found it myself. Contacted them - no response. Spent 5 1/2 hours on the phone with Dish and spoke to 2 supervisors (disconnected twice) then was turned over to billing who finally seemed to resolve the issue. Tech went to rv to set up service and when we tried to use tv there was no service for it. He was to pick up 2 pieces of home equipment. He didn’t.

    Dish customer service told me I would get a return label for the home units. Didn't - get them. When I got to our campsite and found out the TV still wasn’t working I emailed Customer Service and 14 hours later no response. I called Dish. I was informed there was a five minute wait but I could leave a callback number. 12 hours later I still didn’t hear from them. Two more calls no response. The network is still not working. Total rip off so far and incompetent company. All I want is what they are charging me for!!!!

    ON 7/28/2023 I called and cancelled my account. This took me over 6 hours to get through to someone to cancel my account. I wanted to pay my final bill and cancellation fees on this call so I didn't have to call back. The representative took my payment. The following day I received an email stating that I owed money. I had to call back and they informed me my payment did not go through. I paid my final bill again. I asked for a return equipment box to be sent. Weeks went by and I called to find out where my return equipment box is. They said it was never ordered. I gave them my new address again and ordered this again. Dish has since restarted my service and is taking money out of my bank account. I just called again and they informed me their systems is down and they can not assist me. I can't get this company out of my bank account and they have restarted a service that I cancelled on July 28, 2023. This is criminal.

    The title says it all. The other satellite company is $60/mo less WITH local channels. Also, I lose connection every storm. And, it's summer in Florida. I say take up the other guy on their 2-year contract. Dump the Dish!

    Needed to terminate my service due to health issues and needed to sell my unit. Waited 42 minutes to talk to someone and when I said I was cancelling service and Tim CS would not let me cancel because he needed to do his sales pitch. I told him 12 times I just wanted to cancel and he kept trying to have me move my Dish service to a home I already have had service for over 8 years with another company.     12 plus years as a second time customer. Called yesterday to cancel. Was talked into a 3 yr discounted rate. My understanding was my two Joeys wouldn't work anymore. Thinking it was for dvr purposes only. Got home today no service on the other tvs. Called to cancel within 24 hrs and they hang me with a 240.00 cancelation fee plus 20 bucks to ship equipment back. I can guarantee you.

    The DISH network is dishonest, and fraudulent. They "bait and switched" me. When it was first installed, it worked fine, and there was a nice screen saver that showed the local weather and new headlines. After about a week, the screen saver was no longer available, and some damage was done to my TV. Also, the ROKU app and iPhone app no longer worked properly. The final straw was when NBC, CBS and ABC stations were no longer available! They also stopped the autopay feature without notice, thereby eliminating the monthly autopay discount, and starting a monthly penalty charge because I was not aware of no more autopay. They now want $400 to cancel the contract.

    I have been with Dish for 8yrs and today I saw on a commercial that customers can get the Canelo fight for free with a code and I called and they did research and came back to tell me that it was just for new customers. I read the fine print and it did not say only for new customers. They tried to give me a discount for a month on a service and that's already a promotion going on and I pay $121 for 1 Hopper and 1 Joey and they offer a $50 dollar discount for the fight that's $85. I would still need to pay $35 for the fight on top of the $121 of my bill and the escaltion team agent said that it was like any new phone service where you get a free iPhone when you get new service and most companies for cell phone give the same promos for existing customers as new customers. Bad comparison.

    When I asked for a supervisor he said they don't do that. They don't transfer to supervisors and they would rather me cancel my service and sign up with new service to get promo. That's the worst experience I've ever had with dish. Seriously considering canceling my service and getting new company. So disappointed in dish

    I live in a subdivision so it's pretty sad that every morning my service is out. Sometimes it takes me an hour to get it back on. And I hate calling because they are all overseas and hard to understand. Some even say they don't see me having Dish Network and that's more frustrating. I'm stuck in a 2 year contract but with these conditions I should be able to just stop my service because I don't have it half the time anyway. And then there's the reboot everyday around 3 or 4 in the middle of a show. My TV turns off to reboot. That's annoying as **.

    Beware of DISH TV! I have had DISH for 5 years and they recently discontinued Channel 7, a local channel, which I enjoy, and I contracted for. I decided to seek another avenue for TV and called to cancel DISH. They told me I would have to send in their equipment and they were sending me a box. Fine. Then they said I would have to pay $20 to ship said box. Not fine. I have paid well over $900 for this equipment over the years as well as a Protection Insurance to the tune of $659. What? Neither of which I have used and they are getting their equipment back in perfect shape. Then they said they wanted the LND off of the actual dish on my roof. I'm 75 with a hip and shoulder replacements and my husband is 84 with a knee replacement and they want us to climb a ladder onto the roof to get their part?

    After insisting I talk to a supervisor they waived having to get their part and the shipping fee for their equipment. Then...they slammed me with having to pay $240 for stopping their service. They said I signed a new contract in August, which I didn't. I asked to see proof that I did. They couldn't provide anything but said I still owed the money! DON'T SIGN UP FOR DISH!!! If I don't pay they will ruin my good credit and it's not worth hiring a lawyer. Needless to say I am furious.

    When we first signed up for Dish, we had all local channels, as I had requested. Shortly after signing up, without notice or warning, we lost a major local channel. I asked Dish to restore the channel or cancel my service, but not to charge me a termination fee - well neither happened so I am unfortunately stuck with them for another year. I definitely do not recommend Dish to anyone! If I could give them no stars, I would.

I have confirmation of cancelation and of receipt of my receiver. They sent me a bill the next month stating that I reinstated service and now owe $156! I have no way of getting any service! I did not reinstate my service. I spent hours on the phone and no one could make it right and no one would make it right. They are telling me I am liable for $156 of service they did not provide.     We spent 1 & 1/2 days calling the Dish phone number to cancel our Dish service (always being placed on hold for extended periods). Then when you actually get an operator to answer the call, they impose large fees for early termination /etc. (we had their service for over 3 years)? They will never be a TV provider for us again!     Due to health problems, I won't be needing TV anymore. So I wanted to cancel my Dish account. They make it incredibly difficult. First, you can only cancel by calling the cancellation center at 8669740769 during the day. It used to be open 24 hours, but not anymore. I called three times. The first call was on 9-11-23. After entering my account number and security code, I waited on hold for 46 minutes. So I tried again later in the day, on hold 2 hours 11 minutes. I tried on 9-12. Just left it on speakerphone for 3 hours 26 minutes. Tried again on 9-13, on hold for 52 minutes. Tried again on 9-14, on hold for 3 hours 11 minutes. About went out of my mind listening to the music over and over.

    Tried again today, on hold for 32 minutes, and got through! The operator tried very hard over and over to get me to not cancel. I was super nice to her as I was terrified if I got angry she'd hang up on me. I told her about my cancer diagnosis, pancreatic cancer, given two months to live. She still tried for about 20 minutes over and over to talk me into keeping DISH. Finally, she said she'd send me the boxes to send back the equipment which they are charging me $20 for. It's insane. It was the single worst customer service experience of my life.

    ALSO, it's important to know, I called customer service at their none cancellation number, and twice I got through to a person in under four minutes. Each time I spoke to a supervisor begging for help and they said there was nothing you could do, just call the cancellation line. Also I tried contacting on Twitter and Facebook, same deal, no help at all. It's disgusting that this corporation feels it can treat people like this. They are doing everything they can do try to get you to give up in attempting to cancel.

    We had a new roof put on our house and called to have the dish reinstalled. We were told it would be a minimum of three weeks but we could call back to get an earlier time. We called every 2-3 days three times and they could not give us an earlier date. In the meantime we were told to use the Dish Anytime App. First our fire stick was ‘out of date’ and we needed a new version to download the app. They could send us a new fire stick free of charge but it would not be delivered until the end of October. Not helpful! We were able to install the dish app on our iPad.

    However, we ran into so many issues on a daily basis trying to watch shows. The app would freeze, episodes would stop halfway and show a black screen and we are also unable to get local channels. We are now approaching the three week point and we are EXTREMELY frustrated. At this point we are considering switching to another provider. When speaking with customer service they were very not helpful and could not provide any other solutions. They passed my call onto many different department all of whom were not able to solve our problems. I have not been so dissatisfied with a company’s customer service. We were not given any compensation to make up for our trouble either. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

    I switched to Dish 2 years ago and from day one they couldn't make their service work with my home theater system. They have sent numerous techs out to fix their problems and none of their techs could make their receiver work with my New Denon receiver. The icing on the cake was when they notified me that my bill was going to go from $87 month to $137 a month. I called them and sat on hold for an hour to speak to them in regards to why the $50 increase of my bill. The customer service rep said I was out of my contract and that is what my new bill would be.

    I told them to cancel their service and pick up their equipment. They then charged me $137 and want to charge me an additional $37 fee to return their garbage equipment. I disputed this with my bank, that they pulled the money from, and then they lied to my bank and told them it was a valid charge. I have their email they sent me and my phone records to prove they are thieves. Don't use Dish. They are SCAMMERS!!!

    Dish Network doesn't provide the service they claim, terrible customer service, tier 2 (Hope, I don't know her last name) just doesn't care to help paying clients, go with Comcast Xfinity, is a way better company, don't get ripoff by Dish network.

    I moved in April, I called to cancel my service. Transferred from one department to another and wait for 30 min each. Tell each one the same story and asked to cancel my service, for 6 months after they keep charging my Discover card, I disputed with my discover card and I am still been charged...Now in Sept 2023 , I am on the phone again. Complained to the first person, been transferred to a supervisor then have to tell them the same story, they transfer you to another department. You sit for 30 min waiting ...no resolution till today. It's a ripoff,
