    I ended my service in April of 2025. They owed me $113.36. They would did not send the refund as promised but billed me on 7/23/2025 for nonrefundable programming. Considering I sent my box back in April along with the front of the satellite dish per their demands how can I be charged $113.36 the exact amount they owe me for programming I cannot use. I also find ironic they keep sending me mail to come back. Be aware of their business practices and use another provider!!

    I have been a client for years. They use deceptive sales practices by jacking your rates up and then giving you a "discount" tied to a new contract. I am sick of it and I am all done with this company. Streaming apps look like a much better option.

    Dish is NOT customer friendly! I have been a loyal customer of dish for almost 10 years. Never missed a payment even though service was very weak. When wind would blow a lil dish was out…. Basic cable went from $49 to &149 a month and asked them to send a box to return their equipment and got the box 10 days after requested then no return label… Called. Got address then charged $65 for returning and DISH just sent me another bill for $21 for just the BOX! I called them and they said I had to pay for the box. 🤬 NEVER again will I use them!

    After over 20 years of using DISH; we decided was that it was time to move to a better service that does not offend our beliefs system. DISH has decide to charge us $125.00 termination fee, plus $25.00 box fee to return equipment, this is ridiculous! Customer service was not help! So this is how a company treats you after 20 years!

    I’ve been without DISH for over a week now, tried to troubleshoot Dish technician but ended up changing parts! No help! Changed all my Joeys and receiver, upgraded to new Hopper Plus. Still no dish! So we received new Joey plus, don’t work! Was lied too twice about a new receiver shipping status! Was told it would be there in 2 days, after 2 days I called and was told UPS doesn’t deliver on Saturday (lie). Called and was told it would arrive on Monday (another lie). Called and now they said they didn’t know when it will arrive but it was shipped? Question: why do multiple customer representatives cut you off without hearing the question? STILL WAITING FOR RECEIVER!!!!

    We are in the process of moving and I called to cancel service in NV and was planning on moving it to our new home in another state. Unfortunately my call was dropped and they took it upon themselves to cancel our service in the 18 minutes I was on hold calling back. Not only could they not reinstate service they offered no help other than bringing out equipment and mailing it back. I will never use Dish again after this fiasco. They turned off our service in less than 18 minutes over a dropped call. Unbelievable!!

    I have had DISH for over seven years and the pricing, reliability, service and range of programs has been EXCELLENT. I recently upgraded to the Hopper and the technician was on time, skilled, efficient and answered all questions politely and efficiently. I would gladly recommend this company. They didn't raise the price for many years. If an issue develops, which is rare, customer service responds quickly and the problem is solved, 24/7. Before DISH I had Comcast, the greediest company I have ever dealt with, raising the price ALL the time. I dismantled the equipment, threw it in a box and drove to their nearest location (which was possible years ago) and dropped it on the floor.

    Horrible customer service... It's nearly impossible to cancel service/close account. You're "forced" to call and speak to an agent in order to close account; wait times nearly 1hr; prices are ridiculous

    I have been a customer of Dish Network for 3yrs. I have never missed a payment. My bill has always been 156. Now it is 202. 50 dollars more. I had no warning of a price hike. I called to get my normal bill back. Unfortunately, no one could help me. I am more than disappointed and angry. I am disabled veteran on a fixed income. I cannot afford 50 more a month. Dish refused to help me. I do plan on finding a different TV service. Raised taxes from 7 a month to 17 a month. So wrong!!!! I never missed a payment and this is the thanks I get? Dish treats me badly. I wonder how they treat the people who get behind? Unbreakable!!!! I am extremely disgusted.

    Would never, call twice, first on hold 20 min try to lock me in to a 2 year contract. When I said no he hung up Jeff. 2 time, held for 57 min, when I said I just want to rent a movie and could she help, could hardly understand her, ask what country she was from, Philippines. I told her what was going on and that I was not signing a 2 year contact, she hung up on the phone. Now hold for what they said would be 47 min so guessing more like 90 min in their world. Been with them for 10 year, will cancel next month, same equipment for the last 5 years now to get new livk i. At 200.00 a month or no help, suck

    To everyone - I have been a Dish Network customer for over 20 years and I have had nothing but agony since the pandemic. I would ask anybody do not use Dish Network. Their customer service is atrocious there. Tech Support is atrocious. You cannot talk to anyone at all in the United States, you have to talk to people overseas that you can't understand and I'm not trying to be rude about that but you just cannot understand them. I do not think Dish Network cares about their customers anymore after 20 years. I am finally gonna say the heck with it and find someone else.

    Dish technician Corbett **, a remote technician out of Hickory NC, is very good at his job. He is smart, personable and gets the job done right. He represents Dish well. Dish just United with Boost and Corbett helped us get new cell service.

    I have stage 4 cancer and I called to cancel service. I wt the rep talk me into suspending service for $5.00 per month for 9 months. I did this yesterday. Within 15 min I called back to say I realized the acct was paid up thru the end of August and I'd like to restart service until that time and then suspend. Bear in mind the rep did not offer this initially. I called back today and the only way they would restore service, service for which I already paid for, I would have to pay an additional charge. And the supervisor refused to help me. I am sick and dying and yet this company had no compassion whatsoever. I will never use Dish again.

    I renewed my contact with Dish after they had told me I will continue getting same price from my old contract and when I got my first bill it was higher than my old bill. I called to cancel because they didn't keep their word and they are charging me with $385 fine for not completing my contract.. When they didn't keep their word with me paying my old bill amount for the new bill... Bad service.

    Been with Dish for several years now. Never been overwhelmed with great customer service or tech support. Price is about 200 bucks for basic cable for three tvs. Been fighting going with streaming for awhile now, but now I’m strongly considering canceling my service and going to streaming.

    I've been a Dish customer for 15 years, April 2025 it was time to sign another contract. The agent explained, it was for 12 months as opposed to 24 months. That was the best that she could do, keeping my monthly rate for 12 months, almost what it had been, and I'm grateful. I found out today! Dish didn't honor the new 12 much contract, with being on auto pay and paperless. I wasn't notified of the action they chose they chose. I knew my bank balance was off a bit. I called Dish hoping to get an explanation, in addition to refunding the method of payment or credit my Dish account. The supervisor was dead set on not accepting Dish made an error. She stated absolutely no credit to my Dish account. And it doesn't matter whether or not I have been a loyal customer 15 didn't matter.

    When I suggested closing my account as of the next payment due, auto pay had just taken the most recent payment 2 days earlier. She said that's not going to happen. I agreed to a 12 month contract. Whether or not they honored their end of the contract wasn't relevant. I agreed to the contract therefore not paying wasn't an option. I'm a senior on a fixed income. She said that to was irrelevant. Richard

    I called a few months ago because our bill was around 150$ per month. I was transferred to a supervisor who told me since we were long time customers and seniors that he could lock in a discounted price of 110.46 but I had to agree to a 2 year contract. He assured me that he but notes on the account and that the price was locked in and that I would not see any price increase. That lasted for 1 month. I believe this is complete fraud. I’ve called several times only to get the run around. Don’t believe a thing this company says. They will lie just to scam you. I do not recommend this company. Beware!

    Worst service ever. Never works and lies about their pricing cause they say they lock you in to a 2 year price guarantee but 6 months later you’re paying more than DirecTV services and way worse off cause it’s constantly going in and out right in the middle of shows.     I was told wrong info on 7/10 when I set up a payment. I called back on 7/16. The supervisor assured me that my payment was set for 7/18. Today 7/21 had to call because Dish decided to take out both what I agreed and the rest of the bill. I didn't agree to all at once. Spoke to another supervisor today... Marlon. Very belligerent and argumentative. We talked around 8:15 pm MST for 30 mins. After arguing and talking to me like an idiot and telling me to stop speaking and letting him speak. He said he was the highest up... obviously not, everyone has a boss... so they will refund me the rest in 17 business days. So have to wait weeks for their illegal actions of taking what I did not agree and treating me like that after 9 years. We are talking $168.60 monthly. And that's the amount a multi million dollar company illegally takes out? What?

    No customer service. I'm seriously contemplating no more dish... This is ridiculous. Wish 9 years meant something or they could believe customers might be smart too! But the higher ups in dish should listen to the call on 7/21/25 at 8:15 pm. How crazy! Then to be narcissistic and tell me if I'm going to let them talk. Like WTF!!!!

    Overall my most hated company. Overpriced bad service both quality and customer service mostly fake kindness. Issues all the time. Trouble using site to pay bill. Wait times on hold. Always trying to sell you instead of fixing issues. Family had service over 25 years and still charged them over 200$ month. Seriously if it wasn’t for the Arabic channels would have left them decades ago. Horrible horrible horrible.

    Dish is the worst when you sit down to watch the news. Oh, sorry that channel is out... It might be airing on another TV, but not certainly the TV you want to watch. If you have two drops of rain dishes out. Streaming is going to put people like Dish and DirecTV out of business. I asked for a return call because I was number 26 in line. It’s been four hours and I still haven’t received a call. If I were to do it again, I would do it with cable like Comcast.

    Had Dish Network 27 years. Only because they were the only choice. I had lightning strike, destroyed my receiver. They send me a 55 dollar smart card. I called they sent a tech out. I went 3 weeks without service. Put in a new receiver. Still don't have half the channels I paid for. So I had enough. I cancelled, they are going to charge me a 480 dollar cancellation fee. Saying I renewed. I'm their crap back. I'm writing a complaint to the FTC and Consumer Affairs. And I will tell everyone that I would rather not have TV than give that company another dime.

    We have been with DISH 11 years. Recently developed an issue and tried my best to get assistance from “Customer Service” waiting on the line for 30 minutes to speak with a representative was cut off and had to repeat same process. Got cut off again, and for some reason I persisted as I could not watch my TV. So next attempt I asked if they could call me back if we got disconnected and the response was: “we don’t have the ability to call out”!!?? And this is their Customer “dis”service! Yes it is! Pathetic Company just PATHETIC! I have reached out to their management to get in touch with me to no avail. I suppose they are too busy counting the money that they are ripping off from their customers! Good By after 11years DISH!!

    DISH is the most horrible company I have ever dealt with. They made me sign into another 2 year contract just to get a box added to 1 bedroom. They have double billed my account on Auto draft causing other bills to bounce, while telling me it can't be refunded for 5-7 business days. Now I will have to pay overdraft fees because of them. The customer service via phone is extraordinarily subpar, and their whole system is completely shady. You can't get out of the contract without paying $20 a month until contract ends. So basically, once you sign up, you are with a crappy company that you can't get away from unless you pay $20/month for nothing. That's why they coerce/force you into a longer contract at any chance they get. Beware! They are crooked and shady and have the worst customer service ever!

    Dish is a joke. Every month my bill goes up. Every time it rains or storms or snows the network goes out. You call them. No compensation. They just raise the bill every month. It's a joke. I quit Dish. They turned it off and still charged me 2 more months because I have their Joey box I can't use. I think it's a joke.

    Dish network is getting very bad. I needed to replace my remotes and even though I had the protection plan they still tried to get me to pay for them. Then I rented a movie for the day (24 hours) and it expired 3 and a half hours later. With no help from customer service during a 35min call I just said the hell with it and hung up. And why can't they have people that speak English! I'm about ready to leave them, been over 2 years and the price has climbed to almost $200 per month. This is why people stream everything today, I wish I could get wifi so I could stream too. It used to be a good place to have.

    Boost Mobile was wonderful for years. Until it wasn’t. I have had an issue for 3 months with zero resolution in sight. The coverage is great but there is zero respect for their resolution process. Upgrade Phone lost in transit for months. I filed a claim with UPS and it’s been closed and phone not found. Results sent to Boost Mobile. I’ve literally spent hours on the phone with no resolution. They won’t even allow me to move my phone to a new carrier unless I pay off the phone I never received. Lies, incompetence and a cluster of “back office has to do this” answers lead only to frustrating non resolution.

    Had been with Dish 26 years and prior to this year they rewarded loyalty. Not anymore. Their customer service has gone from how can we help you to how can we squeeze you for more fees with less service. Good luck understanding your customer service representative. No wonder they appear to be close to bankruptcy.

    I’ve used Dish for a while and have had nothing but problems. First, I have worked as an Installer in the past so I know how it works and that equipment used is going to have issues, it’s the nature of the beast. Here after an up grade after finding out my hopper with all my movies recorded went bad. So now we are having to reset the hopper and Joey’s all the time. Even just changing the channel. I spend a lot of money due to where we live. We are in the woods literally, so Satellite is all we can get except antenna. The service sucks and I do realize even with the best signal storms knocks it out. Well the upgrade says we can stream when this happens. Nope once maybe twice, then I had to pause so it wouldn’t refresh every 5 seconds. Unless you have no other alternative don’t use these services they are just not worth the aggravation.

    After 20+ years with Dish they are charging me an early cancellation fee of $120. The only time I have had technicians to the home is when equipment has failed. In 2022, the equipment that I leased from them needed to be upgraded. Because of that service, they say a new contract was initiated and I am being charged for early cancellation. I highly suggest avoiding Dish Network.

    I have been with Dish network for 10 years. I decided to disconnect my service as it was getting too expensive for the amount of channels we were getting. Half were infomercial channels. I always paid my bill on time and considered myself a good customer. However I guess that didn’t matter to them because they informed me I would have to pay a $140.00 disconnect fee because according to them I had not fulfilled my contract. Plus a $25.00 charge to return their crappy equipment.

    Apparently when my receiver became obsolete they said they had to replace it. I had no idea supposedly my contract started over when I received new receivers. Which is a bunch of BS!!! I didn’t ask them to replace them! There was no choice in the matter! Nobody ever mentioned that to me when receivers were replaced! Do not subscribe to this company!! Go with streaming. You will get much more for your money! I never had any real issues with dish until it came time to disconnect service! I am so disappointed with this company. I guess loyalty doesn’t count much anymore! Stay away from them!!!!

    After my service was disconnected earlier than the date they said it would be I called in to pay to get service back on even though they told me 1 amount. I told them what I had to pay and the foreigner said Yes I could pay that amount and once I paid it they never restored my service and after speaking to several more people it still wasn't so the next day I saw where if I paid 12.96 it would be restored. I feel they are trying to get all money and if you don't in which I didn't I told them to cancel which now made my bill like 600.00. That's not right so I recommend it that you don't deal with Dish. I'm trying my best to dispute all actions just because and they need to listen to their recordings of this but they're not. 😡

    Our household remained loyal DISH NETWORK customers for three decades... Was it really necessary to remove the TNT channel from our package RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE CLUB WORLD CUP CHAMPIONSHIP?! I understand there are occasional third-party broadcast disputes on the DISH we are purchasing. In the past, we went without CBS for about five months and more recently, NBC for what I believe was close to a YEAR-and-a-half! But to send out a customer letter within literally a weekend of pulling the plug on a channel the customer is paying a package for -- and in the middle of a sports championship -- that only lasts a couple more days. THAT IS THE EPITOME OF CRUMMY TREATMENT OF YOUR CUSTOMERS!

    And... please don't blame this TIMING all on the Turner network. I am one customer who will be discontinuing my selection of DISH for my entertainment/sports broadcast in the near future. I'll be sure to make MY severance equally as abrupt. Please, at least consider other providers with more reliable broadcast PACKAGE options.

    The worst of the worst of the worst, Sir! Terrible service. Terrible product. It’s WAY overpriced. It’s antiquated by modern standards. Its picture quality is only 1080i, at a time when its competitors offer 2160P UHD with Dolby Vision. They have the audacity to charge you to upgrade from SD to their antiquated and inferior version of HD. When you try and cancel their lousy service their customer service reps argue with you and won’t take no for an answer.

    TO MY DISH NETWORK FBF. Dish network has been deceiving us on our bills. After your billings cycle they are charging you a $12 late fee. Which is understandable. But the deception/lying comes is when they send you a past due interruption correspondence by email/phone they give you 15 days in that correspondence but it's for the entire bill amount instead of the past due amount. They never mention that the customer has only 10 days to pay the past due. As the customer you thinking you got 15 days to pay the past due but in all actuality you only have 10 days and on the 11th day the interrupt your services. Which in in turn they charge you an extra $15 for a re connect and also they take it upon themselves too give you and extension and charge another $15 for days. So your next month bill has went up $30.

    Please watch them. I know what most of my friends gonna say. Why not stream. My spouse likes her Local channels with the News and Weather. Plus, mostly those streaming services go out if the weather is bad so it doesn't help. I'm just saying if you don't have streaming services watch your bills because all of these companies are charging you extra and think you not paying attention. BE AWARE OF YOUR LIVELIHOOD. That's just a word of advice.

    I called. Talked to 3 agents to cancel service. 1st agent was from could not understand. She just wanted to keep pushing keeping service. Then was switched to cancellation dept. Could not complete, got disconnected. Called back. Talked to agent who finally initiated cancellation for $80 total, waiving return fees. I taped this conversation. Will be interesting to see what happens now.

    Glad I didn't go with Dish Network. I called about pricing for cable and internet and got my quote. When my wife and I decided to just wait to see what we wanted to do the CSR just kept giving me the run around sounding like a used car dealership of why I didn't want to go forward with them. I basically said that we'll call back when we're ready and they wanted a better answer then I was giving them. Is that how businesses run now? I get it that there trying to earn my business but only when I'm ready. They even said they'll get the manager to approve a $50 gift. Like what's that gonna do for me? I saw someone mentioning DirecTV was the way to go. Maybe I'll do that instead. They need better training when talking with customers. Bye Dish network.

    I have been a loyal customer for over twenty years. I had to switch to the Hopper. It has been nothing but a headache from day one. I have to reset either the hopper or one of the joeys about twice a week. You take channels away and then give us channels that nobody wants to watch. I have to do some VERY serious thinking about renewing my service. I guess loyalty means nothing anymore! REMEMBER MY MONEY IS GOOD ANYWHERE.

    I just had a chat with Dish Network. Customer for 19 years. Customer loyalty only works one way, because they are NOT loyal to their longtime customers. They want me to sign a new contract with a Hopper OR charge me $13/month for some protection plan to fix THEIR faulty equipment (like I wasn't already paying a lot for so little) OR $95 to have a tech come out and fix THEIR faulty equipment and then try to sell me a new contract, which I will never sign up for.

    I am already paying these thieves over $100/month for their crappy service, signal loss every time it rains and their never-ending reruns. And now I am getting an intermittent problem with their faulty equipment, that has been an ongoing problem for a couple of months. This company has really gotten very bad. It is very clear as to why they are losing a lot of customers. I should have cancelled it years ago. I even did that once and yet they continued to charge me. The ONLY guarantee they can give you is to increase your monthly bill every year.

    My first payment to Dish, for everything was 35.99. That should tell you how long I've been with this company. They have an entire book on me with problems with their products. On Mon. the 23rd of June at 9p my screen went black. Wonderful, they close at 9p. So I unplugged for 10 to reboot, did nothing. I pushed the button on the front to reboot, nothing. I then went to unplug again and felt a lot of heat from the joey. I went to move it and the top cover came right off. I then picked it up by the side and as I lifted it, pieces fell all over the place. At that point, it's worthless. I then started to contact Dish, and being after 9p only got a computer that didn't do anything it said. I then called the alternate number. I also got a computer that didn't understand, but it put me through to a "live person"! They then would transfer me back to technical help.

    The first person, a foreign lady who after hearing the same thing asked, "Is it broke?" After communication problems, I hung up. I called the same number again and got a man who understood English (American English) well. Speaking with him was great. We got the whole way through it and he said it would cost me, I cut him off. "Our plan covers everything." At that point I was finally made aware that it would be shipped to me then I could call back to make another appointment. Every time a receiver went bad Dish brought a new one out and installed it. Because of our plan. AI has done Dish Network, no good. What it has done is make the employees a hell of a lot more confrontational and willing to tell false truths and saying "sorry" for everything. Unfortunately the word "sorry" doesn't really mean anything anymore because of its use for everything. P.S. - I'm not saying "do or don't", you can figure that out on your own. Shouldn't be too hard. 🤷

    We have been a customer of Dish for 20 yrs at our summer home. 3 years ago our receiver went out, and when we called we were told we needed a new updated receiver as our type was no longer compatible. A technician was sent out to bring us new equipment. It was a long install and we had to purchase some equipment, which we paid for on the spot. We signed off on paperwork which we thought was for the purchase and installation. Forward 3 years....We no longer need Dish at this home and when I called to get a disconnect, I was told I would have to pay $370.00 for breaking a contract. CONTRACT!!, how could I possibly still be on a contract with Dish after 20 years. The receiver had died, I believe it was their responsibility to replace it upgraded or not! I paid dearly every month for the service, and can I say the channels I paid for were crap!!! They kept taking good channels away and adding "NOTHING" channels to the 120 plan.

    I argued that there was no way I should be charged for breaking a contract, when I was forced to do the upgrade. Not my problem. My receiver was no longer compatible to their system. Well, I got my bill today and sure enough, even with a $94.00 credit I had on my account, I am charged $340.00+. I will be writing to the Public Service Commission with my complaint. Find a better TV service. Dish is not it! There are plenty out there.

    Never experienced such consistent bad service and rude staff. Needed to take down the satellite for new roof. Could not get a signaler back after project. Called Dish for service. 10 days before they could get here. No way. I've been a paying customer for over 15 years (yes a fool) to keep up with their demanding increased prices. They were not understanding (I'm alone, 76 years old-I need my tv.) cut the très and after 3 messages saying I needed to return equipment...Yes still waiting for the return box to be sent to return. Never again will I give them my business. The customer service by phone is even worse. All digital when you finally get through they just forward your call and in process disconnected. They need to be régulated..

    So signed up with Dish for Satellite TV in late January 2025. The reason, they offered me a $500 credit card to switch. I just tried to redeem in June and they say the offer has expired. How can they not give me what they promised for me to switch. Maybe the limited time period was in the contract or offer that I did not see. I feel this is no excuse for them to cheat me.

    As bad as they are to business with (price, signal strength, customer service) they are even worse to stop doing business with. First you have to pay $25 for box to return, then disassemble the LNBF (signal pickup) from the dish then try to locate the "Node or Hub". At 71 I'm in no condition to be doing the last two steps.

    After forced to update to Hopper, this new version is the worsted, even watching the shows messages will pops out ‘are you still watching otherwise it will shut down’, over and over the screen will freeze any moments. If you called for any problems they will charge $99 for a technician to come, even all this problems was caused by Dish network. Unfortunately I have a 1 year contract I will cancel everything right away when the contract is reached.

    I was a loyal DISH customer for 22 years, but I recently decided to close my account. Over time, the service has declined significantly. The number of commercials is excessive, especially considering the high cost of the subscription and the quality of programming offered. Customer support has also become unreliable. One representative will tell you one thing about pricing or billing, but when the bill arrives, it's often completely different—leading to hours spent on the phone trying to resolve the issue. Unfortunately, DISH is no longer the company it once was. Unless you're prepared to sit through endless commercials and spend significant time dealing with billing problems, I would not recommend using DISH.

    Every time they come out in the 20 years we've had them they leave all the defective wires, spitters, etc in our attic or on our roof. We live in a remote area and didn't have another choice. Finally decided to use our excellent antenna and Internet. Best choice we ever made. Spent hours removing excess wires laying on our roof and trash in our attic.

    Let me begin by stating that I only have DISH Network because that is what my partner had when I moved in. I've had to deal with their shoddy sourced out customer service a few times before when I needed to order a new box and when trying to upgrade our internet, so frustrating, but I powered through. This time, we had a more serious issue after lightning hit near our house and took out our hopper box. We requested a new box and after an hour of hold time, language barrier instructions and an offer to send a tech out with a new box in 17 days, I opted to have a box sent to me because I am pretty tech-savvy.

    The box arrived and it is a refurbished box, 1. And I've been two days now trying to get the thing set up. They didn't send any new cords, BTW. Spent an hour on the phone climbing around back behind the TV to cycle through the inputs on the TV a hundred times before having to switch out the HD cable. Which effectively got a signal from our box to the TV, but has been stuck on the set up screen for 12 hours now. Yes we've tried to reboot. I have tried over and over to log into my account, and can never again because their system is always having trouble. If you call you have to hold forever to talk to a foreign person who is reading a script, you can hardly understand and who has zero ideas about what the hell is going on. Don't do it, it's not worth the hassle.

    I called to disconnect my Dish network and was told they would lower my bill and add 4 extra channels for free. They told me it would download to my hopper in 20 minutes, well, it didn’t.     I cannot begin to say what a horrible company Dish Network is. They have nothing to garbage for shows and charge a fortune. Then if you don't return the equipment, they charge full price. Does this sound like a company you would want to do business with? Take my word for it. I was with them for about 12 years and they could care less about me or anyone else except their bottom line. When I left, I was pay $112 per month. They will do nothing for the customer. Go to streaming, you will be happy you did. They wanted me to climb up a two-story house to the dish and get a part from there. I told them they can pound sand.

    We've been DISH customers for 18 years. Recently, we had one of our 4 Joeys stop working. They sent a replacement. My husband was taking care of this since I've been away. He is in his 70's and not good with electronics. DISH helped him set up the new Joey. He did not know how to return the Joey that did not work. I asked him if there was a return label. He said no. I got online to DISH's website and it states it's EASY, just bring equipment to BEST BUY. I thought, great, he can do that! So he brought the Joey to Best Buy and got a receipt. Now we've been charged $50 for not returning the Joey.

    Apparently, only outdated equipment can be returned there (the website did NOT emphasize this). And there was a return label under the original mailing label on the box, but my husband didn't know it was there. I just tried to online 'chat' with DISH, who said I needed to call customer service. I just called them and they will not make an exception and take off the $50 charge because we cannot return the Joey since Best Buy recycled it!! As a good customer for 18 years, I am disgusted that they would not make an exception for a misunderstanding when their website is not clear about bringing equipment to Best Buy. Us seniors do the best we can, pay our bills on time and don't take advantage of anyone. Thank you for nothing, Best Buy.

    Had dish installed at 12:00 noon. Cut the TV off at 10:00 p.m. 10 hours later cut the TV back on. At 6:00 a.m. did not work. Told me I had a total signal loss that's only 10 hours of service. The technician never hooked up the wireless. Had no internet. Now they want to charge me a disconnect and a connect. I think it said either for $800. Ridiculous amount. Told me where they shove it. Got it disconnected. They have lied to me every chance they get. Never ever buy Dish. It is a scam told me.

    A year ago, I called for repair service due to service interruptions, box rebooting over and over. Dish sent a repair tech who said, the box needed replaced. He replaced the box and I signed the service ticket. What wasn't explained was they locked me into a 2 year commitment. Now, they want to charge me to a termination fee a year later. I still have the old box that stopped working next to the new one as proof. Do not sign any repair tickets with them or you will be extending your contract with the failure of their box or dish. Very shady!

    We moved from Alabama to Colorado. When we purchased our house I found another provider that included internet for less money. Called Dish to cancel after 2 year contract was up. But they added a promotion in June not telling me this would renew the contract. So now I owe for 7 month early termination fee. Not only that but they are now charging me for the nods?? That are attached to the satellite dish in Alabama! Which would not be the case if they were coming to install another satellite in Colorado! Will never use them again!

    I have been a customer for over 10 years. I am very UNHAPPY with trying to cancel my services. I have been lied to about the amount that is due to cancel services.     I have been a customer for 10 years, when I was getting ready to retire I had tow dish accounts, one in Pa and one in Florida. Sold home in Pa moved to Florida, purchased home there, got flooded out after two years, sold that house had dish installed in new home, closed account on home I sold! They never closed now trying to bill me $240 bucks because I didn’t fulfill my 2 years, even though I transferred to new home! Customer service is stupid, most don’t speak good English.     System is not user friendly, the DVR section does not give you the option of saving shows and being able to go back and find them. The old 722 box was able to save and rename. I save many shows and now it is impossible to rename and find them at another time, searching for shows is time consuming.

    Have been customer of Dish for over 26 years. Until recently we haven't had any problems with Customer Service. When we called them a couple of days ago the first person we talked with kept saying, "Press the button on the box, can you do that." We are in our 80s and have health problems. Then we were connected with a woman who wouldn't listen and talked over us and everytime we tried to explain why we had called, she just talked louder. Then we were connected with a man who said, "We can lower your $162 a month bill by $10 but if you want channel 198 you will have to stay with the plan that you have." He kept insisting that we add internet and phone service.

    After repeatedly telling him that I was still under contract with another provider for those services we told him that we were going to cancel Dish and we would let them know when we want it canceled. I wouldn't recommend Dish due to those problems plus they need people who can speak better English. I don't know what language they were speaking, but it wasn't English.

    I have had Dish for 11 years and have had trouble with them for most of that time. Recently my receiver starting stalling in the middle of a show and then it would freeze. I would have to skip over part of my show. I have called at least 4 times and they have "supposedly" fixed it. then they sent out a technician and he "supposedly" fixed it. It is still not fixed. I called and asked for a new receiver and I wanted the newer upgraded version, but they sent me out the same one that I have had for 11 years. AND, now they want me to set it up myself. I have called them and explained that I CAN NOT do it myself. I have health issues. After 30 minutes on the phone with someone I could barely understand, they are going to send a technician out "next week". I HAVE NEVER BEEN SO DISAPPOINTED AND ANGRY WITH A COMPANY! Just saying!

    Updated on 11/02/2025: Dish Network promised a refund to my dad's estate after an automatic charge after he died, but instead after nearly 8 months of me calling repeatedly and being told a refund was being sent, decided they were going to defraud my father's estate when they knowingly charged him after his passing. I would rate them a 0 and hope that other people do not use this company. No one deserves to be treated this way. I've wasted countless hours of my time speaking to these people. Even when I had Dish over 10 years ago, I experienced extremely poor customer service and overcharging. There are better options. Please save yourself the stress.

    Original Review: My dad passed away December, previously had Dish with an automatic charge. I am PR of his estate. My dad's girlfriend called and told them he was deceased and the account should be closed in January and they told her she had to pay when she wasn't on the account. I'm handling my dad's estate and his card was charged and I was promised a refund. I've spent countless hours on the phone only to have them lie and say they refunded the card on file... My dad's girlfriend's card, after I explicitly explained which card it should go to and they did business with her even though they shouldn't have. They now state they can't issue another refund.

    They honestly should be issuing two but stealing from an estate and charging a deceased person's account after they've passed is illegal. They promised a refund and then said they wouldn't issue a refund, after asking the girlfriend, there wasn't any refund at all. They lie and grieve people and steal. I've spent hours of my time trying to get them to do the right thing but they promise something and do not follow through. Please do not waste your money or time with this company. I've had them before years ago and nothing but the same. You'll spend hours on the phone trying to get things resolved.

    We just got Dish Network, switched from Direct to give them a try. I would suggest you stay with the company you have or get Directv. Our satellite stopped working and they can’t come out until a week later to fix it. They obviously don’t have the manpower to keep their equipment functioning. Never had this problem with directv. Do not get dish network, customer service is only good at reading off the screen.

    After 4 months installed equipment failed. Dish refused to replace it. Technicians sold me replacement equipment for $400. Subsequently, periodic recurrent failures were the norm. Dish business model calls for ME to go around the house unplugging/rebooting different pieces of equipment, under the direction of helpline workers whose first language is definitely not english, with uncertain degrees of success. When all else fails, after wasting an hour or more of my time, they will send out a contract technician. HINT: Threaten to terminate service, they send technician. Best to avoid this company altogether.

    DON'T THINK THEY DESERVE ONE STAR BUT HAD TO SO I COULD LEAVE MY REVIEW. I’ve had this service for 26 years and I called a month from this date to lower my package. I get bill to find out they did not give me what I want. When I called they said I never called??? What???? I know I called. Then I’m still stuck with a ceiling that was damaged by this satellite they put on my roof. Called about that and they just sent someone out to so called repair roof, which they didn’t do and a company came out and primed ceiling. What’s that supposed to do. My ceiling needs replaced to this day because of their satellite. I see waves in my ceiling. Never did anything but cosmetic damage itself.

    For these past couple years they have done very poor job since I reported the damage to my home from their poor installation of satellite on MY HOME… was told that not supposed to happen so they came and moved it after 15 years and now I’m stuck with a lot of damage thry never dealt with. So What??? Then the customer service people are liars and tell people that they can’t do anything. Well they lost my service after 26 long years….. please beware of this company because they don’t care. Said I never called to cancel service which I did and have enclosed pic of call to them. Basically I’m stuck with thousands of dollars of home repairs because of their poor installation of satellite and paid hundreds of dollars for their lowest package.

    We had Dish network since 2008 (earlier on my name and since last 11 years on my spouse name). Last year there was ongoing intermittent service outage. They said it was the box issue so they switched me to new hopper box with new contract. Last month I found that, without any notice, they removed the legacy mega pack from cable, that I was using and it was no longer available on Dish cable. The only alternate option left with me was to watch them as streaming channels, using my home internet.

    After getting tired I called them to cancel my service. At the time of cancellation, I was told that there will be only $400 early termination fee and only 3 days charge for that month as it was just the beginning of new billing cycle. When the final bill came, I was surprised to see hefty $95 charges on top of 3 days usage and early termination fee. Calling the customer service was of no use. I would never use them again. There are much cheaper and better options available online with smart TV. My suggestion is Stay away from Dish.

    I had Dish network for several years and had nothing but trouble with it and to get someone to speak to and understand them is harder than ever. I highly doubt not I would not recommend at all. It constantly goes out then you gotta call. Have them walk through the process and then if you get movies they go out as well and you have to call them to. I would stick to cable because seeing enough very soon enough they’re gonna have fiber optic.

First he tried to say that I must have changed the input on my TV and that would fix my problem. Then after he finally listen to me, and I explained that was not the problem and that I’ve gone through all the troubleshooting steps. He’s decided to order me a new Joey. Told me it would be 1 to 5 days for my new Joey we get in, and when I asked, what was I supposed to do towards my bedroom TV for the next whatever, offered me no compensation for my loss due to my Joey failing.

    So unfortunately I've been living in hotels for the past year and I came to one that for the first time has Dish Network. How do I know because channels are blocked out where it says upgrade to the hopper to get this channel and then half the channels at work have no volume So tonight when I'm trying to watch the Denver nuggets play Oklahoma on TNT that has absolutely no volume as does TBS and one other channel. And it's been that way for the past week and a half since I've been here. I've been staying at hotels like I say for the past year and never had this problem at any others with any other services but then again I mean what do we expect from Dish old technology old problems that shouldn't be problems anymore.

DSL is all I can get. Never an email a letter Nothing letting me know that they were doing away with my service. They just dropped me. We’re not interested in finding anything else for me.     Dish cable has very unscrupulous billing practices. They say you are locked into a rate for 2 years and then continue raising your price stating only package price is locked in. Still can raise fees and local channel prices. Horrendous customer service. After many calls to lower price I finally called to disconnect. Agent argued with me and made it very difficult to be disconnected. Then when finally convinced him nothing he could say would change my mind he charged me $54 for boxes to ship their equipment back and said I also would need to climb on my roof and send back a piece off their satellite dish. Very dishonest company and higher priced than almost all competitors. I would never use them again. Much cheaper and BETTER options.

    ALERT watch getting DISH to install the satellite on your roof. They did ours and NEVER caulked around the bolts or the holes on our brand new roof and 4 years later we cancels due to price and have rotted roof cause of poor install and they refuse to fix or 5 year old 40,000 dollar roof and we only requested 2200 to fix the little area and even sent pics and they denied the claim. So BEWARE of your damaged roof due to poor installation before it rots your roof. NOTICE the pics I included. Before removing the dish here is NO caulk over anything for the last 5 years so all the rain went to my roof system

    I would have LOVED to make the switch to DISH, but when I called for a rep. to come out just now? (4/24/25) I was told, "Sorry, we can only do so IF you initiate service with us". What a bunch of malarkey...HOW unprofessional IS THAT? VERY. They have lost my interest entirely now. A true farce of a setup, that's for sure.     I signed up with Dish when I first built my house in Florida. From the beginning I was having issues with it. After 4 yrs I finally had enough. They had come out 5 times to replace the Joey, the Hopper and the receiver. Never fixed the problem. Also problems with using the DVR function. When I cancelled they said I would have to pay $20 per month on what was left of my contract. Then when I asked them to remove the DISH device outside, they said they would charge me a service charge for a technician to remove it. Then they also said that I would be charged a fee for each box that they send me to return all their equipment. WOW that is what I call customer service. NEVER USE DISH.

    I will NEVER as long as I live go with Dish again. My mother was 91 years old and they locked her in a 2 year contract. If her payment was late (due to USPS) they would cut her off so at one point she was without service for 2 weeks by the time they got their payment. I canceled her dish back in November 2024, due to health and her living with me all year in 2024, She died in April and now they sent her to collections, because of the remaining contract. I called them about this and I got told we are in the business and a contract is a contract. Screw you Dish Net.

    April 11, 2025, I had the pleasure of speaking with Jessica regarding a connection loss on our tvs. Jessica had an accent, which I thought would be an issue, but turned out to be the total opposite. She was extremely kind and compassionate. She articulated perfectly, spoke slowly and made our interaction easy and smooth. She was patient as I ran between tvs, saying take your time, etc. I can't thank Jessica enough for making me feel at ease. And the best news is she fixed the issue.

    After 12 years we decided to cancel our account because we wanted to go with another provider. I called customer service to simply cancel our service and send back their equipment. The person on the phone kept telling me I did not want to cancel because of great deals. We were paying $192.00 per month. I said no I just wanted to cancel and she kept on and on and would not cancel the service for 23 minutes. I finally blew up and she finally agreed to cancel our service and would send a shipping box to return the receiver. At a cost of $35 to us. They will try and not allow you to cancel your service by hounding and wearing you down in hopes of you just giving up. Never deal with Dish Network unless you want to get screwed over.

    Every month I get an email notifying me that my Dish TV bill is ready. For the last four months I cannot log in to my account to look at the bill. When you call customer service you reach someone in a foreign country you can barely understand if at all. However if you call the number to sign up, an onshore person in Florida answers who can actually speak English, so when I explain the problem, they transfer me to someone offshore who can't speak English. The customer service is pathetic!! I will be looking to change to DirecTV shortly.

    In a nut shell: I am a senior and customer for over 20 years. I called to see how I could have my bill lowered due to fixed income. Was roped into a 2 year contract unbeknownst to me, and was unable to cancel unless I paid a crazy amount of money. They said I could save $5/mo to switch to a non recording receiver. Now instead of paying $50/basic I was grandfathered into, my bill is $86. for just basic, no local channels with no recording receiver. I asked to switch me back to my old plan, they said no, too late. This company has criminal business practices, unethical and plain wrong! Spending several hours on the phone on multiple occasions speaking with people unable to resolve my problem really made me disgusted. Stay away!

    I was a Dish customer in 2023.. I returned all equipment and all was fine until 03/30/2025 when Dish reported to my credit report that I owed $ 631.00 to Dish. I called and was told that they made a mistake but I still owed $ 90.00 two years later??? I told them I will be getting a Lawyer. I will never and will not recommend them to anybody.. A complete SCAM.

    Dish just stole $744 due to being on pause & not using their service for over three years. Who does contracts anymore?? The cancellation and termination fees are absurd. I still am returning their Hopper receiver but having to pay ridiculous fees, I would never sign with a company like Dish again, even the year I used the service they started blocking channels like ABC, ESPN, etc.

    So, I have DISH through TDS Telecom. The prices increase every couple months even though it's supposed to be locked in for 2 years. Called TDS and they talked me into their new service & was supposed to cancel my DISH subscription. The subscription was never cancelled! Been on the phone with DISH and they see a note it was supposed to be cancelled, but nothing they can do. Told me to call back at a certain time. I did. Now they say to call back at another time, nothing they can do!? Terrible customer service.

    It's become an expensive and the system has deteriorated rapidly in the last year. In this month alone I've been unable to record a full program, even with preset limits. It displays that a network is changing over channels and the change doesn't happen. During that time I was unable to watch shows on the old channel. I'm paying too much for the limited service I'm now receiving.

    I just canceled my subscription with DISH due to the poor reception and that they are not an honest company. When I first became a customer I was told that their signal has a 98% success rate. That is an absolute lie, it only takes a light rain shower or just a few clouds to disrupt the signal. Next when you try to call customer service there is always a wait. I have not made a call to them without having to wait at least 40 minutes. Then when I finally get through their customer service reps are extremely rude and not helpful at all.

    Lastly when I finally had enough and canceled my subscription l, I was told it would cost $60.00 for the three remaining months and $25.00 to ship back their equipment. We'll guess what, again I was lied to because they send me a bill for $80.00 because now I have 4 months on my contract and $75.00 to ship back the equipment. I cannot recommend this company and will warn you about doing any business with them. They are liars and thieves.

    We’re quitting Dish Network after subscribing to them for over 17 years. Over the last several years their service has become so unreliable that several times a week we suffered some sort of service interruption. After dozens and dozens of telephone calls and numerous service calls the service did not improve and continued to get worse. Over the last 2 years every piece of equipment has been replaced. The last solution the Dish said we needed to do was to switch two of our Joeys from wired to wireless. This solved nothing and made the reliability significantly worse. During the most recent Super Bowl we lost Dish service 9 times. Sometimes the service returned on its own after a few minutes, but most interruptions required resetting the connection between the Hooper and the Joeys. Two days in a row we were unable to get any signal at all.

    Our last service call technician could not find anything wrong. Right after he left we suffered a “Complete loss of Signal”. When I called to cancel our service, Dish told me that because we switched to Wireless Joeys we would have to pay an Early Termination Fee (ETF) because switching to Wireless Joeys is an “upgrade” and incurs a 2 year contract. Dish did not tell me about this new contract when the telephone representative told me this would fix our problem nor when the technician installed the Joeys. When I complained about the ETF the cancellation team told me there was no way to forgive the ETF because we have a valid contract.

    We do not have a valid contract. Dish Network is not fulfilling their fundamental requirement to provide reliable service. Therefore, the contract is null and void. Ironically, when we return the equipment to Dish Network we have to return everything except the Wireless Joeys. These valuable upgrades are of no value to Dish Network. Because we don’t have a valid contract there should be no Early Termination Fee.

    This company is by far the worst I have ever dealt with in my life. To start with when I signed up with them they promised me a 100 dollar gift card that I never received. It didn't matter how many times I would call and ask for it they refused to give it to me. Needless to say that was the least of my worries. Within 3 months I had them at my house 3 times. Eventually they ended up unhooking some of the equipment that I purchased to make the rest of it work. Customer service is the worst I have ever dealt with. Sometimes you will sit on the phone for an hour and after that they still couldn't help you. They gave me a 3 year price guarantee and they still went up on the price. Unless you're into nightmares stay away from Dish. I hope this helps someone else.

    Stay away from Dish! I just found out my bill is going up from $128 a month to $190 a month. No one notified me of an increase giving me the option to decline. When I called customer service they told me they had a great offer for me. They said they had a promotional offer that would be locked down for two years and the rate would never go up and I would remain at $128 a month after 20 minutes on the phone. They came back and told me the offer was to go with DIRECTV! The worst! Stay away from them!

    We cancelled our service because we found something less expensive and without any hardware that would occasionally stop working. A month later, no technician has come to remove the satellite dish from the roof and pick up the DISH hopper and joey. I inquire as to when someone would be coming. The agent said because she couldn't find our account and we are no longer DISH customers, we would have to hire a company to come and remove the dish, at our expense. She would send packing for the other equipment to be sent back. I asked how she could send anything to us without an address. She said she has our address. This makes no sense. A supervisor simply repeated the hogwash. Customer service is very lacking with this company.

    They will not debt your scheduled payment then interrupt your service and you have to make another payment to get service restored. Then the scheduled payment as well as the payment both get deducted from your bank account allowing DISH network tom draw interest on your money for 17 to 21 days before your money is returned to your bank.

    My experience started 36 hours ago with three calls to tech support, my problem was a 1303 message and of course each tech went through their check list to no avail, I constantly told them all I think it’s a internet issue however on the wireless tv I was working with there was no options for internet. My friend came over and suggested I try the diagnostic on the main tv with the hopper and lo and behold I could sign into my internet two minutes later all was resolved. My question for Dish is why through all this did their techs not once tell me to go to the main tv and check the internet connection. Terrible training. This needs to be improved.

    At least twice a week since I've had Dish the Joey in my bedroom goes blank. No code no nothing. Sometimes for 2 days. I requested a female service person for very personal reasons but they cannot guarantee a female. I don't want a strange man in my bedroom. Sunday my Joey didn't work for about 36 hours.     We have been with DISH for a couple of years, mainly because we live on top of a hill and can’t get cable. On average, we lose our picture about once a week and have to reset our box. Try Bing to get help from “customer service” is virtually impossible. Stay away, they are terrible. I’m looking at other options.

    After 14 years of service I needed to cancel my DISH TV satellite service. Customer service said I owed $300 dollars for early termination due to an equipment upgrade 10 months ago. The timeframe he was referring to was when I had my roof replaced and the dish remounted. At the same time a DISH rep told me my equipment was obsolete and I was entitled to a receiver upgrade for free. I asked if there was a commitment and she said 'NO'. There was nothing wrong with the equipment I was using. Apparently she was wrong and now I owe $300!

    DISH satellite great for a couple years. Then pricing increased yearly with no service changes by consumer. Then many days satellite would not work. Wasted much time on phone to get technician to come out days later. No TV service due to DISH main satellite issues again no TV for days. Was with DISH 16 yrs and cost more than what other family paid for theirs. Called 3 different times over last 3 years to get price reduced due to loyalty. DISH would reduce for 1 year then go up more.

    After 3rd request as I was retired so home more needed sports package. High premium. DISH did provide a reduced price for package added, but local sports not available due to sports provider contract dispute. Asked to cancel DISH and offered free supposed sports package for couple months to decide. But after one month I was charged. I just called to cancel and DISH now says it will cost me $380 to buy out my contract. Said you signed contract when we provided free 3 months sports package. What ?? That was not explained well to me by guy who I talked with. I feel duped and not appreciated by DISH.

    I will pay this stupid penalty for being a loyal customer for over 16 years. I will never be a DISH customer ever again and am plus will tell everyone I know to avoid DISH company. They are not fair, Not customer service focused or care to reward loyalty. Plan on wasting hours on phone to get tech, billing or sales support. Good luck if you use DISH and watch their billing practices.

    I literally had to just hang up. I called to stop their service and I'm on SSI and sick. The lady refused to let me stop service. I was literally begging please just let me stop. After the fifth time I'm shaking and begging please please just let me stop my service I told her my mind was made up. Don't use Dish they also tried to make me upgrade and pay more when I was in a complaint call about my crappy service. An old lady should not have to beg to stop service. I was crying shaking and finally just hung up.

    "10 to 11 minute. Press 1 and we'll save your place in line and return your call." When? That was 3 days ago, still waiting!! Never NEVER resolve my issue the first time I call about anything! I really really wish someone would listen to my last FOUR calls to you (but I know no one will). First call was given false and inaccurate information. Second call the associate, though he did try, was not able to resolve the issue and again was given inaccurate information even though we were on the call over half an hour.. Requested to be transferred to a manager and that associate was immediately able to resolve. Third call call different issue and was UNDELIVERABLE!!

    The incompetence of the associate was off the charts. Never really even understood issue. Had no clue how to resolve. Went round and round for half and hour or better and then HUNG UP ON ME!!! No WE did NOT get disconnected HE disconnected me. Called back, got a different associate who helped to resolve in minutes. Unfortunately I am stuck with you for two more years and then you will see my dust. Your customer service is the worst. Wait times are ridiculously long to speak to inadequacy trained incompetent associates.

    Dish TV will increase your monthly bill with an explanation that's makes NO sense. They tell me they don't own channels that they're on the back end whatever that means so if you choose Dish be ready for your bill to go up constantly with an explanation that makes NO sense whatsoever.

    I am really disappointed in your business practices. My dad was forced to upgrade his equipment because his old equipment no longer worked, in turn he was greeted with a 2 year contract before his other contract was expired. So he is under TWO contracts at the same time!!! Now because of all of this he wants to cancel his service and being told he needs to pay $480 early termination fee.... This is criminal. I spoke with a few agents and with no help. I asked for the recording of him agreeing to this new contract but said it wasn’t available….

    I finally cancelled the account anyways effective on Feb 8th and asked for an email confirmation cancellation. The agent said that her system doesn’t allow one. So you are telling me that your system that can’t send a cancellation email is supposed to be able to record what was said on a phone call two weeks ago??? What a joke of a company. He was a customer for 25 years and this is how he was treated. Unbelievable.

    I would give them zero if I could. I have been a customer since 1998 when there was such a thing as customer service but now no more. I have been trying to cancel my service for months. I call Dish and tell the person that the service has not worked since the Spring of 2024. I am told that they do not have the power to cancel my subscription and am transferred to a phone number that no one answers. They are still charging my credit card even though I called Discover and told them to not accept the charges. Total fraud and stay away from this company.

They dropped channels from the package that I was paying for only to add them to other packages so they can get more money of course. The customer service can be terrible from time to time.     I had to renew my subscription with Dish. The subscription was for my elderly parents. Dish told me that they would work with me on an early disconnect fee if something happened with my elderly parents because they were informed at that time that my parents were ill. My parents fell one was in the hospital for 4 months can never return home. Father passed away. Advise dish, returned equipment, emailed documentation that the lady said was all that I needed it was from the hospital that they were in. Said they would credit me back the early disconnect fee.

    After one and a half months no credit had been issued, call back went through their channels and basically they said I needed more documentation even though I was told that that was all they needed they wanted me to jump through more hoops getting things notarized and stuff. Their customer service lies. You can't understand half the people you speak to. I will never do business with this company again. I do not recommend them at all.

    Very watered down content and isn't carrying many good channels anymore. Very expensive, can buy 6 or more streaming services for the cost. They Won't ever pick up the phone to allow you to cancel, just wait on hold for an hour then they hang up over and over again. Can't cancel online. Super poor customer support. Hoppers overheat. I like the DVR, that is about it.

    After 9 years of service, I called to say I was moving and did not need this service anymore. I have been very careful of no contract extensions. However, my 93 yr old husband (very disoriented) talked to them Sept 14 after a 3 week hospital stay and possibly verbally agreed to an extension when asking to add a sports channel at my house. They said I will owe them for 21 months about $2500. So, I am furious. My husband had a major accident at DIA and paramedics took him to University Hospital. He is still not better. Just took him back to Naples, Fl where he lives. He temporarily stayed here. Just sent Attorney General's office a letter.

    After being with Dish for about 13 years I received a letter stating that their new "Hopper" might be a new option I would like to consider. A new Dish and cable along with a new unit on the inside was installed. A couple of months later the cable came loose from the side of our home. I was told that it would cost me $95.00 to send out a Service Tech to fix it. I thought to myself, why not send the 1st Tech that did not install it right the 1st time and allow him to pay the $95.00. That's the First time they tried to steal my money.

    Now the 2nd time they wanted to take a shot at my wife and I. He sold me a surround sound speaker with the promise of returning them within 30 days. Just call Dish and ask for boxes he said, as he was carrying the boxes they came in out the door. Called Dish and ask for boxes to send my speakers back 3 days later. They said, "Buy your own, we don't mail them." I said, "Your Service Tech Lied, they are supposed to be returned in original packaging" {as I found out a few days later].

    I wouldn't recommend Dish to anyone. They change your channel lineup at will. Allowed customers to watch Paramount until the finale of Yellowstone. Then conveniently has no access to the paramount channel. Was told it wasn't in my lineup and would have to upgrade; how convenient! On top of that they allow non employee sponsors access to your account. I once thought I was speaking with a dish employee. He was able to turn my access to programming. By the time this crook got done with me I had to shut down multiple bank accounts and it took another 5 months to stop all the contracts this thief signed me up for.     Terrible experiences trying in cancel my account. Waited on hold for 38 minutes. After numerous times me telling the representative I wanted to cancel they continued to give me more options. It was borderline harassment making me stay on the line another 15 minutes trying to cancel. I spent over 50 minutes canceling my account. I will never do business with them again due my experience.

    I am extremely disappointed with Dish Network and their dishonest business practices. When I renewed, I was quoted a specific price for my service, but once the bill arrived, it was significantly higher than what was promised. I contacted customer service, expecting them to honor the pricing I was given, but they refused to take responsibility or make any adjustments.

    The lack of transparency and accountability is unacceptable. I chose Dish Network based on what I thought was a fair price, only to be misled. This type of bait-and-switch tactic feels predatory, and it’s clear that they prioritize profit over customer satisfaction. I strongly urge anyone considering Dish Network to be cautious.     This company is a complete disgrace. They make it virtually impossible to cancel your service. You can't do it online. The person you reach via phone can't do it, and they'll put you on hold for over 30 minutes guaranteed. Nobody ever actually picked up the phone for me, I had to give up. If you ask to speak to a manager, you will get the same result. You will wait on hold indefinitely. If you reach out via chat to cancel, they will tell you to call. This company is outrageous and I am boycotting them.

    Pro tip: If you want to cancel the trick may be to send an email to "onlinecancellation@dish.com". Include your account # at least in that email. Also make sure to remove your payment methods from your account and be prepared to dispute their charges if they persist in illegally charging you. This people in charge of this company need to be fired. I recommend you boycott them too. Tell your family and friends how awful they are please.

    I've been with Dish Network for what feels like an eternity, and my experience has been nothing short of a roller coaster, albeit one that only goes in circles of disappointment. Here are the key issues that have plagued my service:

    1. Constant Receiver Reboots: The receiver rebooting issue has been relentless. Imagine settling down for your favorite show or movie, only for your receiver to power cycle with the enthusiasm of an over-caffeinated squirrel. It's not just inconvenient; it's infuriating. After numerous calls to customer service (more on that later), I was told this might be due to software glitches or hardware issues, yet no effective solution was ever provided.

    2. Mobile Streaming Woes: Dish promised the ability to watch TV on your phone or tablet with the Dish Anywhere app, but recently, this feature has become more of a tease than a service. Streams cut out, app crashes are frequent, and sometimes, content just isn't available when you're away from home. This feels like a bait-and-switch, where the functionality I subscribed for has been quietly withdrawn.

    3. Payment Nightmares: Paying for Dish Network has turned into a payment odyssey. The online payment system is as user-friendly as a cactus. Setting up automatic payments has been an exercise in futility. The system is clunky although my browser is up to date and I will NEVER use Edge or Chrome.

    4. Customer Service? More Like Customer Frustration: To add insult to injury, customer service seems designed to maximize frustration rather than resolve issues. Wait times are long, and once you get through, the representatives often seem as confused about these persistent problems as I am. Their solutions? Usually involve rebooting the receiver (which, ironically, I'm already doing involuntarily), or suggesting to reinstall the app - neither of which actually solve the underlying issues.

    Conclusion: Dish Network has managed to turn what should be a straightforward satellite TV service into a series of tech support nightmares. The service's reliability is questionable at best, and the customer experience leaves much to be desired. If you're considering Dish Network, think twice unless you enjoy tech troubleshooting as a hobby. For now, I'm looking into alternatives because life is too short for this level of hassle. I give 1 star because I cant give zero and only for the sheer volume of channels, which is meaningless if the service fails to deliver them properly FREAKING IRONIC 90 DOLLARS A MONTH FOR NOTHING BUT EXTRA LATE FEES. Me trying to pay my bill.

    I have been with Dish for almost 12 years. The locked in rates are never been locked in. The rates always increase. Recently I noticed some water damage to my ceiling after further inspection found the dish was installed too deep into the roof. No sealant of any kind was used. After peeling up the shingles only to find water damage on the wood from the dish all the way to the bottom. We ripped it out only to find mold and mildew rotten wood and a lot of work. After contacting dish they informed me another company installed it only to find out the other company just set up the appointment for a dish technician to come and do the install. I have been back and forth with no luck trying to figure out who is supposed to be responsible. I am now $8,000 into a project that should have never happened.

    But at this point nobody is taking responsibility for the damage and dish basically is throwing the blame somewhere else. The customer service sucks and now I’m at a loss of money because they won’t take responsibility for the equipment that belongs to them. They are now trying to make me pay the remaining balance on my contract when there equipment is the reason I don’t want dish anymore. I asked a few years ago to make sure there was no issues with the dish and they never came out. They offer horrible service and don’t stand by their word. Never again will I ever use this company.

    Had Dish for over 25 yrs..they offered me a good deal a yr ago if we would stay with them...bill kept getting higher....cut bill by $50...     Dish is a terrible service. I can’t count how many times I’ve tried to DVR tape something and it either doesn’t tape it all or when I do tape it it doesn’t tape very good. Of course not on all programs but it seems like the ones I wanna watch the most. Constantly have to call them because the Dish Network won’t work. It’s been very frustrating to say the least. Please do not get Dish Network service. You will be very sorry. Do not recommend.

    I have been trying to get service fix going on three months. They sent out a new Hopper. Work for about six weeks. Now we have no service. They set tech for almost two weeks out.     After local news at 10:00 pm Central, network TV is out. Later ALL Satellite is out. Stays out until about 10:00 am the next day. This happens EVERY day. Lots of static in live programs. None of these issues until about October 1st. Cannot upgrade equipment UNLESS I sign a two-year contract. Calling in for help does nothing except to suggest sending out a technician with a cost of almost $200. The few times we have needed help in the past it was fixed online or they sent a new receiver that WE installed. Dish has also been pushing their technical service at approximately $12.00 per month with a six-month minimum. Hmmm…could there be a connection?

    Why don't we have Bounce and Grigio? What happened to Brown Sugar Saturday Night. No Urban Movies or Old Sitcoms like The Jeffersons, Benny Hill, The Arsenio Hall Show, Star Search, Good Times, Out All Night, 21Jump Street, New York Undercover, Living Single, Soul Train, American Bandstand, Sanford and Son, Half and Half, Hanging with the Coopers, it's so many shows from the 80's and 90's that could be playing on the channels. Dish Network has to do better. Those 2 decades were like no other. Even the 70's Of course I was born in 1981 but I miss The Dukes of Hazard and The Incredible Hulk. I do get some entertainment seeing The Twilight Zone still comes on and every now and then The Three Stooges

    Dish is such a rip off!! Finally, after another price increase, I decided to cut the cord. Got sick of my monthly price creeping up every year after calling them and claiming that are giving me a $50 discount only to see my next bill increase by about $6. That looks ok. But after many years I’ve had enough. And I’m sick of renting equipment. I tried YouTube TV for a 21 day trial. They have endless cloud recording. Which is great for me and my family like it as well. Plus you are not bound to a contract. So I decided to keep the service to the end of the billing cycle and the person I talked to said no charge. Then a few days later I get a bill for $105. I called and said that’s on them and the person said, "Sorry. Not sure why you were told that." I said, "Since you record everything, read the recording and see what was said." But I’m sure I’m going to be on the hook for the money. I will never go back to them! No matter what they offer me!

    Besides automatically renewing our contract every 2 years when I told them to disconnect it they said it would cost me $20.00 for the box to return it in and when I got it, it cost me another $25.00 to ship the receiver and tube thing back.     If you thinking about getting this I definitely suggest not to now. They don't have a local channel. They can't reach a contract with channel 10. If you break the contract there's all kinds of fees to return the equipment. They charge you for that. Just awful. If you're retired and you're on a budget definitely go another route.

    I only gave 1 star because that’s the lowest rating available. Any company that has a 20-30 minute wait time for customer service is not a good sign. I seriously doubt people were calling in to brag on them. I can’t even log into my account. They sent a code and I entered it within 20 seconds, a message pops up, say the the code has expired, you only have 15 minutes to use it. I tried 3 more times and the same thing. Tried it with the password and again the same thing. I just thought that DirecTV was worthless.

    I have been with Dish for years but they are about to lose my business. My Dish screen always just goes black in the middle of a show for no reason. Then I have to change channel and turn back for it to work for another 5 minutes before doing it again. Also when I am watching a recorded show this happens but it just goes to live TV instead and I have to start the show all over again to watch it. I’ve told Dish this issue time and time again but of course, it’s always a issue. For what I’m charged a month this shouldn’t be a issue period.

    Avoid Dish at all costs. They are quickly losing their customer base and with the DirecTV take over they have a combined staggering loss of subscribers and dept load. Trying to cancel is frustrating to say the least. I had to go through an hour trying to finally get a rude and obnoxious cancel agent to actually cancel the account. They charge you $20 to cover the cost of returning their equipment, refurbish it and try and rent it again and refuse to reverse it because it's buried deep somewhere in your agreement when you start service you will pay it.

    They tried 6 times to tell me it's not possible to remove my bank account information from their system. I finally got someone that opened a ticket for the back office to actually do it. There are many other streaming services at a fraction of the cost and no rental fees. BTW: There is NO option to talk to corporate. AVOID DISH AT ALL COST.

    Cancelled DISH Network today after over 30 years of being a customer. My bill had gone up over 50%. When I finally bothered to look online while talking to Zack, I saw I was paying $24 a month for "LEASED" equipment, because I am a VIP customer. Upon further examination, I became aware that one receiver was put in play in 2021, and the other in 2019. This means I have paid LEASING fees on one of them of $1176, and $1020 on the other. I cancelled today, when I was told I would have to continue to pay to LEASE this outdated equipment. Interestingly, I was told to "just dispose of it" when I cancelled.

    Complex Prices on Dish Network. The Contract is too long and with this package that you choose it always sports. Not all customers want sports. I like 111 channels and 113, 116 Channels also stop charging extra for these channels. Make a 6-month contract and if that Customer wants to keep it then do a Year deal Upgrade, device Turn in, all Satellites and Receivers as well. All in one Remote two to pick from Red Dish Hooper with all channels a month is $69.90 with no equipment. Last one is Dish Basic has 120 Channels for $39.90 a month with a Satellite and Reciever, the other one is installed with a remote and your TV have one cord and do 6 months contract, other once a year, he renews it. Customers can pick their channels they watch and their favorite Steam it Dish, the one with the remote.

    When I subscribed local channels, channel 39 was included. Now it is no longer available, means the owner of company does not want to pay the channel owner but still charging the customers.     I've had DISH network for many years. It seems process vary every month. We've had to call many times to question increases. Sometimes they accommodate but always with some kind of decrease in service. My other complaint is they are always dropping channels. I've noticed most recent channels dropped were 185 & 116 (Game Show Network). Now they I understand DISH and DirecTV may merge 2025. I dropped DirecTV many years ago because of price increased every month and terrible customer service. I guess time to search other options.

    I tried the "leave feedback" button because their website is inconsistent. It'll show a movie I'm supposed to be able to use my rental certificate for, but then when I pull up the movie, it shows I have to pay for it. Another movie I was interested in is listed on Channel 1 but is not listed among the movies. I tried their "AI," which isn't intelligent at all, and it kept telling me I had to log in when I was already logged in. Never could get to a live agent. They really don't want customers talking to them. When my contract runs out, I'm done.

    My husband and I have been with Dish Network since 2003, and after all these years I am so irritated that my Dish bill is over 200.00 a month. I have been without MeTv for almost 2 years come this January, and yet Dish has done nothing about getting it back for us customers. Yet all these companies like Cozi, and MeTv want an arm and a leg for their channels. Dish Network bends over to satisfy their new customers and could care less about the ones like myself that have been with Dish Network for over 20 years.. I am sick of paying out the ** for cable... I would love to drop them, but they are just like the other cable companies out there. High cost for cable.. They use to give us FREE Starz or HBO but they have not done that for a while..     We were 20 your customers of Dish Net. They called us to say our box was off so had to be replaced so I agreed to it. Then they stuck me with a new two year service contract, which I did not agreed to. Despite me making multiple phone calls to follow up on this and having four people tell me that this contract was waived that when it came time to actually disconnect service, they refused. I found an email address for the CEO and sent him a message in detail which he ignored. I waited about another week or so and send it to him again and again not respond to you. I finally protested with the FCC and after a month of going back-and-forth and with Dish Net initially refusing to waive the service agreement they finally did. They tried to make it seem like they were doing me a favor but the truth is they lied about it Through their teeth. Never ever use this company.

    DISH is a scam! Not someone trying to represent Dish. Dish. I am a senior citizen on a fixed income. I get social security, that's it. I am disabled and Illinois Gov. Pritzker won't allow disability for needing a double hip surgery. They are useless as well. Anyway I called to cancel my Dish service of 85.10 a month, because they canceled the only show I watch. The Dish rep said He will give me $25 a month off my bill to keep the service. I said no! He kept me on the line for over a half hour trying to get me to keep the service. I said no! If it was free I still don't want it! My bill cycle was paid on the 7th of the month. I called on the 2nd to cancel. Then they still charged my Credit card after I canceled.

    Never received a notice to get the service discounted before I canceled, they wait till I don't want the service and then say, "We will give you $25 a month of your monthly bill." I called my credit card company and told them that I canceled the service. They still managed to charge me after the fact. If you are considering Dish Network, and don't have money to through out the window, run as fast as you can from Dish Network, and don't trust them as a company that looks out for the customer. Totally egregious company!

    Had severe problems with Dish Network over the years. When I finally decided to cancel the agent told me my balance would be between $10-$20 for the prorated balance. Then I receive a bill for $140! I called and they told me they can’t do anything for their agent giving me wrong information. Their service is okay at best but beware they will charge you like crazy, and make it almost impossible to get rid of them.

    Having just moved to CA San Gabriel Valley to a large senior mobile home park, I learned the only TV option readily available was DISH. For 20 years I was a loving and loyal Spectrum girl. Don't take me wrong, I'm grateful for TV at all. But DISH is a total disaster, beginning with the sloppy installer, no logical instructions, lack of up-to-date channel guide, and the absolute worst service reps possible. No assistance at all, though they try. Language is an issues, plus lack of knowledge on the simplist task. I feel sorry for them.

    Dish technician has made two trips out to replace my “old” outside dish. The first time out he could not install the unit because the property was not marked for underground cable. He informed me that he would have miss-dig come out to mark the property and would schedule a reinstall for the following Saturday. On the following Saturday the property still was not marked so the install could not be completed. The tech said he would have miss-dig rescheduled for the following Friday.

    Needless to say the property still was not marked by Thursday so I called Dish to inform them of the problem. The dish rep. was not helpful and told me to call and have the property marked. I told her that both technicians who came out told me that they would call the proper marking services. I informed the telephone rep that the installers were to call but she insisted that I would have to. She would not connect me with her supervisor so now the serviceman will make a third wasted trip tomorrow and will have to reschedule again. The telephone rep could have saved Dish another wasted trip if she would have been receptive to call the installer and have him reschedule the property marking and dish installation. I’m glad that Dish has so much money that they can schedule the same job a fourth time to complete service!

    I've got a helpful review. I've been a dish customer for going on 3 years out of a 4 Year contract. Because of the rising cost of everything for the first time I had to explain that what should've been a 2 week extension for my first year ever being late and while it stated 2 weeks where I applied for the extension, it only gave me 9 days AND they charge an extra $15 for that 9 days and it still didn't get me to when my next check comes so I chatted with customer service and explained my problem and asked to extend the extension until the first. They refused and told me if it's not paid by the 27th I will lose my service. This is what being a loyal customer gets you with Dish. Rigid bull crap and I'm beyond furious. They will never get my business again when this contract is up.

    In June 2024 our hopper stopped working - we only had 2 more months in our contract left. The customer service representative stated they no longer carried the hopper we currently had so they were going to be replacing it with a newer version and we repeatedly asked Maria to make sure this wasn’t extending our contract (4 times we asked her) and she said no it wouldn’t. Well we called to cancel Dish Network today and of course when the guy came to install the new hopper he stated we just had to sign stating it was installed (our mistake for not reading the paperwork) ALWAYS READ WHAT YOU ARE SIGNING. Maria lied on the phone to both of us and stated it was just replacing the hopper and no new contract will be entered into.

    Today Trish supposedly acting as a manager on the phone acted like she could care a less if we kept the contract or not and of course the bill went up $51 dollars a month. I asked her since conversations are recorded could she please go back to that day and listen and she stated she was unable to do that. We have used Dish Network for many years but after today no more and we did cut service off costing us $440.00 - I only hope those who lie get exactly what they give.

    Dish Network sucks!!! Let me count the ways. I spent an hour and a half on the phone with them and still didn't rectify the situation. They subcontract with their sales team whom give false and misleading information, and then when you call them on it, they refer you back to them.

    I am begging you. Stay away from DISH TV. Avoid this outfit absolutely or you will become a victim more likely than not. If you have constant problems and even if DISH TECHS tell you that these issues will remain because of location you will be financially penalized if you cancel. They will mislead you when you sign up and they will and I emphasize LIE when you call them on it. You are helpless against the con artist outfit. Please pay attention and stay away from DISH!! There is a reason certain companies lock you into a contract. Fact if they were a good company and did what they say no contract would be needed. READ BETWEEN THE LINES!

    I've been a Dish customer for 14yrs, and about every six months or so I would call Dish to see if they had any promotions, or anything to where It allowed me to lower my bill, and I was advised by customer service to check back to see what's new. Well, I received a phone call from a gentleman from Dish's Corporate offices to advise me that I was on a list of customers that was basically calling in every six to twelve months to check on their deals, and was told that I was now on a year's probation, and if I called Dish Network again within that year, Dish would cancel their contract with me and I would need to go somewhere else.

    Now, Dish has been dealing with a major issue with their crappy Hopper DVRs that have a software problem. I replaced my DVR over a year ago, and it took Dish to send me three DVRs in order to get one that didn't crash right off the bat. I just called this evening to find out that Dish still hasn't fixed the software issue, and it's been over a year! This is why people are leaving Dish Network by the droves, and why Dish Network have the distinction of being the worst cable company for the past five years in a row...REALLY!

    Use to love my Dish and their customer service is great! But holy Wha! Who can afford these prices anymore? Sorry Dish, I'm out! I'm done with the increases because of greedy networks. Back when I first had Dish it was 36 dollars a month. I brought home about $380 a week. Now $156 for a comparable package and bring home just about $790. Your prices have quadrupled in the same time my wages have barely doubled. Obviously just another piece of corporate America trying to see how they can rob the little guy.

    Well let me say that it was a total mistake to let these folks into my home 4 yrs ago. The programing is junk. Of the "120 plus channels" maybe 30 are watchable so now we cancel and they say we were scammed when they told us last month our bill was going up, as we were paying our CURRENT bill. WE WERE SCAMMED ALRIGHT. WE ARE PAYING THEIR 175.00 PENALTY JUST TO GET AWAY!!!

    DISH Network has been a major disappointment. We set the DVR to record a show and it doesn't record. There are shows we didn't set to record that just appear on the DVR. When we try to rewind something on a show we missed, instead of show rewinding 30 seconds, it rewinds to the beginning of the show. And I guess that is good because sometimes when we rewind a show, the screen completely freezes and you have to change to another channel so that the system will start functioning. Just when we think we are about to enjoy a show we recorded and hit the start button, we realize only the first or last portion of the show was recorded but the info will show the entire show recorded. If we have multiple episodes of a show, some will record and others will only record part of the show. We have to find the show on Demand and download it. Extremely unhappy with DISH.

    I have had the misfortune of trusting what I was told by their representative when I called in to cancel my service. I was told they would reduce my bill, which they did but they did not tell me I was re upping on a new 2 year commitment. I was told that the only commitment was to honor my original commitment. When my contract came due. I was told that I had another 15 months left or I would be charged an early termination fee. If that was the case then I would have cancelled at the time I originally wanted to cancel as I only had 9 months left. So now those 9 months have passed and I’m told that I agreed to another 24 months. I adamantly asked them if I take the reduced rate will I only be responsible for the 9 remaining months.

    Well they are a bunch of lying crooks.. then to top it off I hade to keep continuously calling them for answers, I was finally put through to a supervisor named Jacob and he was the rudest person I have ever talked to in my lifetime of dealing with any provider of services. I deal with the general public on a daily basis and if I treated my customers the way I was treated by Jacob I would be out of a job and starving. Thanks for the lesson Dish Network. I will never ever trust any kind of service provider ever again so go ahead and steal my money.. I hope it makes this company proud to resort to these lying, cheating ways.

    I recently ordered a Dish Hopper Plus. There is no monthly fee, but if you add it they add two years to your contract. The installer installed it and it worked fine for the first day. When I turned my TV on the second day, the Hopper 3 would not connect with the Hopper Plus. I tried all their fixes and nothing worked so the installer came to reconnect it. I told him I found the product disappointing. His response was that he could reinstall, but many people have been disappointed and have chosen to just leave it disconnected. All you get with it is Google apps, but you lose some things. You can't adjust resolution and response on the remote for some things is slower. I called and asked if I could return it and not be stuck with the two years of extended contract. They said I could return it, but am still stuck with the two years. Very Disappointed in them.

    Dish Network advertise free ota adapter for local channels. Called to get one so I lower my bill with them. After a long hold comes back saying they will charge 79.99. Ask why there was a charge. Said they no longer offer the adapter. You have to buy all of this other crap. Misleading. Not happy and will drop them after the contract.

    All the time, the service is so bad and rude and slow. How the hell is the owner of this company a billionaire?? From stealing from our premium payments! They have removed our dedicated Cantonese Channels we paid for. It just says “CHANNEL HAS BEEN MOVED” example 626-4. Transferred 5x for a hour, no resolution because the ** could not understand basic English and they are so stingy to the customers not to have any ** translators anymore so the owners can have more money in their pockets.

    I regret leaving DirecTV for this....first thing is the package prices I see, are not factual. The main channel that I particularly needed (ABC ) to maintain peaceful harmony in my household was not available at that time due to contract issues, yet NOBODY mentioned it but continued to show as part of my package...Has to purchase an over the air receiver to get it .. Every time we shut the tv off when we leave the house, when we turn it back on we have to sit there for 10/15 minutes while the JOEY reboots...and most of the time the screen is blank so you don't know what or if it is doing anything..and sometimes it just cuts off out of the blue and does it. And does not offer bundling with Internet service...

    The customer service who took my order give me a price. After the installation I did have the package that I was offered during the conversation with the customer service. I call and they play it that they didn't know who took my orders. My bill changed was $14 dollars more than what we agreed on in it. I will not recommend it to anyone.

    Upgraded my package since I would only be paying a few extra dollars for way more channels and made my payment at that time. 2 weeks later the service has been interrupted for non payment. These people are scammers. Now 2 weeks later I'm being charged another 109$ for prorated charges even though I just paid on July 31st.

    On June 3, 2024 I ordered Dish TV via phone to the Senior Discount telephone number. I offered on-line. I indicated I was 68 and wanted the Senior discount. The salesperson did not put my order in that way. The on-line advertisement indicated I would receive free monthly movies for four years, a $100 gift card, 6 months free technical service, and a free hopper upgrade. I received none, Dish customer service indicated I would have to have an age voucher, a promotional code for the gift card (none were on the Dish site), offered one month technical help, and $15/Month for Hopper 3. I did get the free monthly movies as long as I have the monthly code, nothing else. This is false advertising and in June 2026, I will never have Dish again.

    I am quite dissatisfied with DISH Network. For reasons which could not be determined, my DISH equipment failed. The online agent attempted to correct the problem, but finally determined that the equipment needed to be replaced and promised me that new equipment would be mailed to me. I was instructed to phone to schedule an installation appointment when the new equipment arrived. It arrived yesterday.

    I phoned this morning only to be told that the technician would be here Monday, but that I would have to pay for the service. I have been a DISH customer for over 20 years, but the "supervisor" to whom I was transferred was unwavering in insisting that I would need to pay the installation fee in advance. This is unacceptable, however, I have no option whatsoever. When this contract with DISH ends, I will be seeking alternative options.

    Satellite service uptime/quality is good, and customer service & repair techs are friendly/courteous. But they have occasional billing issues, that have gotten worse since the big hack of 2023. Before the hack, I got charged Pay Per View boxing (we never use Pay Per View, and no interest in boxing). This was a $30+ charge! They initially refused to refund until I escalated it to supervisor, and only after 15 minutes of bickering. We now have a lock to block Pay Per View (I suggest others use that option as well). I never choose AutoPay because of these billing issues -- you might miss billing changes if you use AutoPay.

    After the hack, seems to be problems with maintaining account settings. I removed DISH Protect on 7/7. Surprisingly, it showed up again on my August billing period. I removed again, confirmed with Customer Service, but they would not refund the August billing amount I had just paid. Their mistake, they should own up to it and own up to the system problems they have with maintaining their customer account billing, and refund customer money when they make those mistakes! I never save my cc/bank info for DISH nor Boost. The big hack of 2023 demonstrated their vulnerability. At least Boost refunded customer money for lost service after the hack. DISH is still pretending customers did suffer any service/financial loss.

    We sold our house and I cancelled our DISH service. When I called, they said they would send a tech to our new house to see if they could "move" our service. It was ten days from the time I cancelled to when the tech came to the new house. He was unable to get service at this location. Dish charged us for service for the ten days, shipping fees to return their equipment and a cancellation fee even though we were on a month to month contract. I talked to several reps at customer service, each one told me something different. It was extremely frustrating. I will never call them again and I recommend that you don't call them either. They are not concerned about their customers, just the money.

    This company is a joke! I asked to have my equipment upgraded or fixed, to avoid crashing and freezing all the time, and they told me I'd have to pay more for multi channel DVR option. I said NO, I need MY boxes to work, that I pay 110 bucks a month for, so they send a tech that does NOTHING to fix the issues, and tells me I have to call Dish. WHAT?!!! Dish sent you to fix these junk boxes that keep freezing. "Sorry sir, I'm not authorized to do anything". I call dish AGAIN, advising them of this incompetent service, and they tell me "Well sir, you refused the upgrade." I exploded and canceled service. DO NOT get their garbage... You'll SO regret it!

    I would not recommend DISH Network! I have been a customer forever... I never thought I would have to write this review... but... I have been a loyal customer for the past 18 years at my actual address plus in Rhode Island before... Never complained but this time I feel so much taken advantage of!! I am over 65 of age... 68 exactly and came to this country 30 years ago so although I can speak English!! I still struggle over the phone when listening to other strong accents!! I have, along the years, taken the raises with no issue but this time! I was forced to change the receiver... without any request on my part or problem with it!! The price suddenly went up!! When I called to complain since it was not my choice to change the receiver, this "nice" person acknowledging the length of time I had been a customer told me he could reduce the cost to only one extra dollar...which sounded correct...

    3 weeks later the receiver doesn't seem to work... After over one hour on the phone with no result I was able to set up an appointment with a real person who could not fix the problem telling me I had to change my TV... I decided to cancel DISH and called them! And Oh surprise... "You cannot unless you pay us 460 dollars... because you agreed to sign up with us for 2 years." I never was told... I give you this discount if you engage yourself for 2 years!! Never Never ever!! This is called taking advantage of an older person!! Who can help me bring this to another level to be heard!! It is not ok to take advantage of old citizens!!

    I cancelled my service June 10. They took 2 months of payments out of my account. Called July 15 and was promised a refund. Called July 24 and was told I was lied to, the refund was never processed. Now they say it will take 19 days to get. I am a Sr Citizen with no money for food. Was told there was nothing they could do about that. I doubt I’ll ever get the refund.

    Customer service is a joke. My dad had Dish for many years. He passed away. Disconnect was easy, however, trying to get a refund has been a nightmare. Have contacted multiple times and spoke to many "agents". They have all quoted a different amount. I'm giving up on the process. Hopefully the fight for that small amount of money has been worth their bad review. Lesson is not to die and have dish network as your provider, it doesn't matter how long you've been a customer. They don't care.

    Every time it gets cloudy or it rains, I lose service. Dish TV will try and take a week before it is due and put your bank account in overdraft. My bill went from $100 a month to 160 a month Without any warning. Dish TV tells you one thing and does the opposite. They overdraft my bank account and cost me two hundred and fifty dollars in fees from my bank. I would not recommend Dish tv to my worst enemy.

    I recently went to cancel Dish network as they raised my rate as soon as my 2 year contract was up. They are now claiming I have an early termination fee. Baloney, I completely honored my two year contract. They want an early termination fee plus they want me, a senior to climb on the roof to detach two orbs from the dish for return. That’s ridiculous. I’m a senior with a bad knee. No way I’m going up on the roof. My attitude just went in the toilet over this. I would consider going back to their service in the future, but not now. Read your contracts carefully.

    After being incorrectly charged $400+ for equipment that we had returned after canceling our subscription per their instructions we still have not received our refund and it’s been 5 months. They show the equipment was received and emailed us that a refund check is in the mail but nothing comes. They won’t refund a credit card that wasn’t on file even though we state that card had to be replaced.

    The dish anywhere app is poor. If you happen to lose your internet connection at home for any reason, ie weather, power etc. the app will not work and you have to be at home to reconnect. If you are on vacation and lost home internet you're out of luck until you return home. With all the technology out there to control home devices like checking home security, climate controls, turning lights on and off remotely, Dish can't figure out how to make a receiver/hopper reconnect. All my other service do!

    I am so mad at myself for taking on a 2-year contract with this lousy excuse for TV. This crap absolutely sucks. A whole bunch of channels of nothing. I have a TV in my garage that I have nothing but a digital antenna hook too. I watch more channels on that than I do this crap Dish Network. I am constantly having to unplug it so it will reset. If a storm is within 50 MI forget watching TV. It is amazing in order to rob people legally in this country all you need is a business license. As soon as my 2-year contract is up you can have this lousy equipment back. I would not recommend this crap to anybody. It is nothing but a waste of money. If I could give them a zero star I would.

    Ordered Dish. Nothing but issues from the start. The first time they could not complete the job so I was told that I had to call and set up another appointment; me and not them. The next appointment was a no-call no-show. I called to find out where the guy was and they told me he came out earlier and nobody was home. Although 7 people were at my house with multiple cars in the driveway, the guy just never showed and lied about it. So I call back and set up a Thurs appointment and they guaranteed a supervisor and a tech would be there so I could discuss the issues with a supervisor and they could complete the job this time. They also guaranteed that a different tech other than the first one would show up.

    Wouldn't you know it but the same tech arrived and that was it; no supervisor. The tech once again could not figure out how to complete the job and instead of quality he wanted to drill through my stone walls and have a cable hanging between my entrance to the atrium. I told him no way I was going to have wires hanging between two walls. He then wanted to connect from another area but not run it through the walls and instead leave it sitting across my carpet and said that I needed to run it through my walls instead of him. THAT'S WHAT YOU GET WITH DISH! GOOD LUCK!
