Able to complete payroll online. Time efficient and run payroll program is easy to use. We get reports and cash requirements within seconds of submittal. Security for the program is sufficient and does not interfere with the ease of access. Easy to instruct others, if needed.
Barbara, thank you for taking the time to share your ADP experience with others. We’re happy that you’re enjoying RUN's features!

Received my W-2 and ADP stopped deducting MA Income Tax as of 2/12/16. Their site is impossible to manipulate and it took me a year to gain access to my account online. I did not have access to my pay stubs due to this. Now I owe MA Income tax. Why would they just stop deducting MA taxes when my W-2 shows my exemptions are zero?!
Hi Deborah,
For any W2 questions or corrections you need to work directly with your employer so that they can send any needed updates to ADP. Please contact them as soon as you can so that you can get if needed a new W2 or explanation to your concern as soon as possible.

We have a small business that only requires seasonal employees. While I appreciate the tax forms and other required documents, I think the monthly maintenance fee is too high when there is no activity for months. Once ADP reaches a certain payment level for its costs/certain profit, it should reduce the monthly maintenance fee - as that becomes pure profit to ADP. It is a burden on small companies to pay hundreds of dollars a year for a payroll service that is inactive. The overall support and service are very good, but I think there must be a way to help small businesses pay less in fixed fees for service they don't use.
Hi Jeff,

I am always very happy with the payroll processing done by ADP and its customer service. However, I have had a lot of trouble with delivery when ADP uses a service other than UPS. Other services have completely ignored the "signature required" on the package and either shoved it through our gate with no attempt to get access through our gate (we are a locked property with camera surveillance so I can see if they try to ring the gate or not) or stuck it in the mailbox. UPS is the only service I authorize ADP to use for our deliveries.

At the beginning of this year 2017, my worst nightmare came true. I switched to ADP from Paychex because of their relationship with CHASE Bank and their lower rates for payroll services and HR. AS soon as I made the switch it became a nightmare. Starting with extremely long waits to talk to someone to incorrect quotes for services to our system being hacked and losing $38,000. A fraudulent investigation was launched by ADP and they concluded that their system was not compromised, which left my company liable. After the investigation was complete we were told that the report was final and that there was no grievance process. In so many words we were told "OH WELL, YOUR LOSS!!!" WE continued to process our payroll in hopes that ADP would consider a grievance process. But on 1/31/17 ADP attempted to debit our account for $8,500 for the fraudulent payroll without any notice.
We immediately terminated our services and returned to Paychex. Paychex offers 2 security features that ADP does not. If these features were offered at ADP we would not have suffered any monetary loss with this fraudulent activity. The 2 security features are: if you sign into Paychex system from any computer it will send a text to the primary telephone number on file with a temporary security code; another feature is that if you make any changes to any employees direct deposit account information it automatically places your payroll on hold until they confirm verbally with you. It's sad to say in this case that I should have not left Paychex to go to ADP for less money, because I received less security.
NiGeria,
I am sorry to see your experience with us was not what you wanted or needed it to be. I see that the investigation was completed albeit not to your satisfaction. Please let us know if there is anything you need to assist.

My employer just started using ADP for direct deposits and such. I was supposed to get mine almost 2 weeks ago. Not a biggie... first time can be a bit bumpy. Double checked the account details with my bank and everything seems to be fine on my part. Got in touch with the employer, he says somebody forgot to enter my bank details into the ADP system and according to Tayabella - ADP Senior Implementation Specialist my direct deposit would be transferred on Jan 30th, 2017. No luck so far. Now Tayabella is saying it might happen on Feb 2nd, 2017. It is my money, I worked for it. Why do I have to beg to get paid??? Is ADP going to pay me some sort of an interest or pay for my time I have wasted on this nonsense???
Hi,
If you would like ADP to look into this for you please provide your employers information along with your full name. You can message us privately here. Also if your direct deposit has not gone through it's usually standard that the employer write a manual check so that you are not waiting for your funds. We recommend that you speak with them regarding that.

I have been using ADP Since 1996 and have been happy with the service. But since the beginning of last year their support has become deplorable. Late last year I had a client who was frantic about a charge made to their account by ADP. I called and was put on automatic hold and decided to disconnect after 25+ minutes. I called back a bit later and rather than sit on hold I left a message per their instructions.
No one called me back!!! The next day I called again and stayed on hold well past 35+ minutes (there is no exaggeration here) and finally had someone to speak too. You get the same old line; "Due to heavy volume....." but the real issue is that they do not have enough staff to cover the support department. Not sure if they cut back on their staff or if they added extra business but no additional staff, but the end result is the same; longer wait times and diminished support.
I tried calling today (1-31-17) and encountered the same problem. Gave up after 18+ minutes and called back on another number I had in my database. This time I was going to leave a message in the hopes they would call me back this time. But couldn't because the mailbox was full and was taking no new messages.Somewhat frustrating. Will need to look for another payroll company.
Hi Webster,

My experiences with ADP have been, for the most part, exceptional, with the exception of their Tax and Financial Services department. Things kind of fell down there, which is why they are receiving 4 stars rather than 5. Aside from that hiccup, ADP is a wonderful company to do business with. They are very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. I highly recommend them and would gladly work with them at any time in the future.

This is the second card that has not come to my mailing address and I have never had an issue with my mail!!! I have spoken to chat service several times and yet another card is being sent as well as these blank checks that I have to call to have my funds "loaded" onto before I can cash them! And I have not received those either! ADP will not just transfer the funds to a bank account and I have literally had my compensation stolen! No help!!! Why? You are a payroll service! You can direct deposit the funds! But they refuse! It has been over 3 months and I have just wasted my time! What are you going to do about this ADP? Is legal action required? Has anyone ever had this issue? Yes they have! Resolve immediately! I will have to utilize legal services if I do not receive my money this week!

Only star they deserve is the secure website they have but it is also their downfall. Everything has to be balanced in a website. My employer chosen this service, and I have used for a while. Every time I tried to access, there is always an issue on password or user id. Their webpage is also not useful at all! Their functions are not supported on most used web browsers like Chrome. I have to do everything manually. They are not compatible with Chrome's auto fill options. For example, if Chrome fills your user in auto on your login, you will see the characters in input box but you will get wrong user Id error. So you know that you put right credentials but you get an error. Can you imagine how confusing it will be. They also send email about available forms but when you log in they are not there. Like my W-2 form. In summary, you will waste a lot of time in their website to overcome these issues.
Al,
We have a new release that does address this. Please do let us know if you need any help with anything.

I hate resorting to writing a review but I feel this may be the only way to get someone’s attention. As an ADP admin for almost a decade, I've felt so helpless at the mercy of this company countless times. Currently, ADP is giving me the run around with regards to producing our W-2's. This reflects poorly on me, and my company. No one will call me back. No one can fix the issue. And there is nothing I can do about it. When calling into customer service, there is almost always a 10-15 minute hold just to have your call answered and hold for another 30 minutes while they try to read a handbook and figure some response to get you off the line. If you are investigating new Payroll/HRIS vendors, I strongly advise that you think twice before signing up with ADP. Just read these horrible reviews.

Cant get my child, even though they Garnished his wages!!! First off let me tell you this is a COURT ORDER SINCE 1995. I have been calling the garnishment services line for a month now. I have all the information, and can’t seem to get anyone to help. The customer service rep tells me "We are waiting to hear from the employer" and I say, "No, the order came over in the wrong format, and it has been corrected, and sent to be paid." I get the same reply, “Can you give us 24-48 hours.” I did give them this time for the first 5 times I called. I spoke with Alex the floor supervisor yesterday and he assured me he would call me back within 3 hours. GUESS WHAT? No call back.
I am on the phone with them now, and the woman informs me that Alex doesn't have a direct line. So can I give her until Monday. I said I am sorry I can’t, I have been waiting for over a month. So I am on hold for 22 minutes and 52 seconds waiting for her to get someone to talk to me. I get $89 dollars a week, and I have received this through ADP since 2014. So now that the direct deposits stopped I have $100 on overdraft fees in that account. How does this happen. How is this ok. I have been in customer service for 20+ years and would have been fired or done the firing if this were the case at my company. So due to ADP error I lose 1/3 of the little I get in fees... and was just told I had to wait until Monday, there is nothing they can do... UNREAL...
Christine,
I have asked our Garnishment Services team review and contact you. I will also respond here once they have.

I have received our W-2 forms which I specifically said we don't need as they will not be correct. Our CPA does these. I have also noticed we paid for these. I feel that since we specifically requested no additional services and the W-2 are not correct that this charge be waived and refunded. Thank you for your consideration. Other than the above, I am very happy with the service you have provided.

My employer just started using ADP at the beginning of 2017 to handle my child support garnishment. Twice now ADP has not sent the payments to the Child Support Enforcement so that my child can be cared for. TWICE!!!The money is coming out of my pay because it shows on my pay stubs. My HR said that ADP is responsible for sending over those payments. I'm livid because ADP thinks they have the right to hold onto people's child support funds. The payments that I'm responsible for and could face back pay because this incompetent company can't seem to do their jobs. People count on those child support payments on a weekly basis and as part of their income. So where is the money? Isn't this illegal to hold funds like that when it's a court order? Your company is terrible. I would never want this happening to anyone else and you people need to get your act together.

Today is 01/24/2017 I have yet still to receive it so I decided to call and see why that was which began the worst customer service interactions I've ever had. The lady I first spoke with seemed to understand and told me she would resend it. That was about 1:30 pm. Today while I was out running errands my card starts to decline. I called to ask what's going on just to find out that she canceled my card and activated the new one That I hadn't even been sent out yet.
Absolutely confused by the situation I asked that a supervisor review the tape and reactivate my card. After holding for 15 minutes I was told that there was no way it could be reactivated and sorry for the inconvenience. LIVID at this point from fake empathy I start to going through what would be my other options to be able to have access to my money?? What's going to happen to the bills I have due?? NO ANSWERS!
After being on the phone with nine different representatives three hours outside of Walmart told six or seven different things I spoke to what seems to be the only supervisor Victor. I HAVE NO MONEY OR ACCESS TO ANYTHING FOR 5-10 Business days which I don't trust at all since it doesn't even seem like any of the representatives have the same information. He even had the audacity after admitting that it was their fault saying that he wasn't going to charge me for the replacement (waive it) as if he was doing me a favor. This is a nightmare. I'm sitting here after crying uncontrollably for the last few hours with, I can't even see anything on my account activity, A deactivated card and hopes that I can extend my due dates without incurring late fees. HOW IS THIS LEGAL?
Celia,
Thank you for letting us know of the concerns. I have asked our Paycard team to look into this and contact you. I will also reply here once resolved.

There were 2 debits from our checking for payroll taxes we'd paid prior to ADP taking over our payroll, without prior notification. Once we discovered that, we provided proof of our on-time payment of those taxes, only to be told we'd have to wait for refunds of the 'overpayment' from the state dept of revenue, which therefore ties up our cash for several months. Additionally, there was an unauthorized debit of over $1500 for a 401k program that we'd previously declined. Subsequently, we were told that it was an error on ADP's part, and that the funds could be expected to be credited back into our account the week of Jan 9. As of yesterday, that has yet to happen.

I have been an ADP client for 17 years. In 2000, our small business made the decision to "outsource" our payroll and I suggested ADP based on its overall industry reputation. I haven't been let down. In 17 years of using ADP, I can count on one hand the number of times I have had issues with their services or product. It would take 20 of my hands to count how many times ADP has stepped up to fix issues before they happen. The software is constantly improved, the tax service instructs on tax legislation before it becomes law, the very professional client service representatives (U.S. based!) are proactive in preventing any possible payroll mishap before it happens.
Best of all, the ADP 401k service representatives walked me through a rigorous, multi-day, on-site IRS audit of our 401k plan. We passed the audit with no errors and the IRS agent was amazed at the detail and accuracy of our ADP 401k records. The IRS agent actually told me our 401k records were one of the best she had ever seen and wished more 401k administrators used the ADP 401k platform. I'm a happy ADP client and I would highly recommend ADP to all small businesses. Leave payroll to the experts at ADP!

This is the WORST website! Once you open something on the main page after logging in, it vanishes. Things are incredibly difficult to find & the pale font color makes it difficult for those with vision problems. Makes it harder to read things such as reference number. It should be easy to find what you are looking for as well as easy to read.
I have now spent more time on submitting a single claim that keeps getting rejected. The provider - a pathology service - broke my payment of $67.90 down into 3 payments ($24.80, 424.80, & $18.30) as there were 3 tests done on the single specimen. The invoice I submitted shows the 3 payments - just add them up. I'm considering filing a small claims court case against ADP regarding this matter.

We moved to ADP a little over four months ago and were promised a system that would track time, HR, and payroll. Most work well. However, the time clocks are a nightmare. We have punch restrictions in place. Half the time it works, half the time it doesn't and people can't punch in or out, or both. The tech's advice? "Not many people use punch restrictions, you should probably take them off."
Everyone has a schedule but only some of them make it to the clock when initialized. Then some people can't punch because they're missing a schedule. This creates an undue burden on supervisors. We've tried removing the punch restrictions, changing schedules, changing schedule templates, not having schedules, single employee overrides, global employee overrides, replacing the entire clock... nothing. It's been four months and the only suggestion I get is that we should remove punch restrictions while the "developers" look at it. If you promise a product that can track time, have punch restrictions to enforce a schedule, then you should be able to deliver, especially since you're charging us for it.

Apparently, there's been an issue with ADP's Aline website at mycard.adp.com redirect where ESET Nod32 Antivirus 9 along with Google Chrome would see their SSL as using an obsolete SHA1 cipher for HTTPS. The cipher was not, in fact, actually obsolete but SHA256 with RSA2048, which should be fine, but it didn't stop Nod32 and Chrome from killing the connection much of the time when I tried to check my account. After a bit of back and forth with a lovely lady named Shona from ADP, we got it bumped up the line until some unknown hero fixed something in the backend to fixed the issues myself and I assume others were having. Now the website is in fine working order.
Great customer service. Really, extremely, dedicated team of people at ADP. I really have never seen anything like it in the business.

I haven't really had all that many problems with ADP Aline other than the fact that I can never get access to my account because their redirect website at mycard.adp.com (https://internal-oce-www.visaprepaidprocessing.com/) is ALWAYS down. And I mean it's been like this for the past year 1/2 that I've been using this pitiful service. This is the most frustrating thing. This is how I check my balance and generally make use of my account, as I would imagine most other people do. The website is down more than 50% of the time. I'm a computer network specialist, so I know what it takes to keep a server with good uptimes and ADP isn't capable of doing that. I'm going to have to make a change if something isn't done to rectify this issue soon. What a farce.
Hi Chris,

ADP approved it & started taking 90% of each week's check for 7 weeks now. I owed supposedly 1900 total & they have taken 2800 so far & still haven't stopped. The IRS said they are not allowed to take that much of our pay because some act protects us for a max. taken of 25% each week until the 1900 is met & then is to be stopped immediately.
So we found a lawyer & are suing because we have 4 daughters & now haven't been able to pay any bills at all & everything is in shut off or in pursuit of being taken. Anyone who has this issue needs to teach them they can't get away with this & I would recommend suing them for not complying with court orders & disobeying a federal act. I hope they realize people have to live still & maybe they should do what is right.

An employee did not get her first direct deposit. I personally called and did not receive good service. Finally I found out they had the wrong checking account. This was for the payroll of 12/16. After much back and forth I thought it was resolved.
Today on 12/29 I found the amount deducted from my checking account again. I called the rep who inundates my email with sales spams. Upon calling her she simply gave me a phone number. After holding on three different times because they are busy (so am I), they were unable to help me. Two hours later I was no closer to getting this resolved. They could not see the deduction from their end and wanted me to fax them back account debit. I found this pretty ridiculous since they were in my account and they should have the records.
My next action was to call back the rep Tiffany ** again. This woman refused to help me without me making a conference call and gave me major attitude. What occurs next is something I have never in my 62 years of life witnessed. I asked for her supervisor. She told me to get a pen and write it down. Next she said "**." I am very serious and am writing this out so it is understood those were her full words. I called the main office and am awaiting resolution. I still don't know why my account was debited 24 hours later. And this person simply ruined a productive day by not helping me. My first problem was a fiasco. Not resolved and cursed out.

My FSA Debit card was presented for payment at a doctor's visit. Received notice that my FSA card with an available balance of over $1,600 was frozen and could not be used because the doctor charged and was paid $14.14 over the allowable charge. On more than one occasion I contacted ADP to rectify the problem. The last telephonic communication occurred on 12/29.
After waiting 27 minutes for someone to pick up the phone and after almost an hour communicating I was advised that although I offered to re-pay the $14.14 personally in order to release my card with my money for use. The only way to resolve was to send in via postal mail a check or money order for $14.14. Any charges that I incur and need to use my money on my FSA card would need to be paid by me out of pocket until they receive a paper check and process.
Although all charges and deductions from my account, my money gets transferred to ADP electronically they refused to accept any form of electronic or phone payment. So I am at risk of losing MY $1,600 because I do not have the money to advance payment for medical payments. This is a ludicrous method of operation and is ADP having access to my money and yet finding ways to keep me from using it.
FSA policies are mandated by the IRS/Federal Government. The policies are not of ADP choices. If you submit your payment as asked and requirement your account will be corrected.

Thank you for reading this review. I appreciate your customer service department taking the time to listen to what clients of your system have to say about it. Recently I began working at a company that gave me my first paycheck in the form of an ADP ALINE debit card. The card worked as well as a normal debit card--I bought gas and food with it the day I received it. Later that night I decided to transfer my $98.50 into my bank account, using the ADP website's transfer system. My routing number and account number went through, and I was told the money went over. But it didn't go over. My bank never received the money, and my attempts to find out where ADP really transferred the funds were fruitless. Whenever I clicked on the "statements" or "transactions" button on the website I was redirected to the main page and logged out.
I called the number for customer service and was treated to thirty minutes of "offers" from an automated woman's voice, asking if I wanted to speak to a T-Mobile representative, or if I wanted more information on a "$65.00" two night cruise to the Bahamas, or if I wanted a "free" one hundred dollar rebate, or if I wanted to speak to a DirecTV representative about their deals. After listening to each offer I was relieved to finally hear the automated voice telling me to hang up and call a different number, since the number "in my area" had changed. I called it anyway and was asked if I wanted to speak to a DirecTV representative. I hung up, accepting that I would never see my paycheck again.
I believe that companies like this and all the people who work in them are designated for an especially hot, dark corner of Hell. Moreover, I don't care that you (if you're reading this) work in customer service and aren't directly responsible. However, they shorted the amount owed by $12.13 so $175.00 in penalty and fees and .75 in interest were added. I have tried to get ADP to respond to me - they have not. I have notified Fl Dept of Revenue of the issue, but they just want their $187.88. If payment isn't received within 22 days, they can seize our bank accounts, and place an injunction that prohibits us from continuing to employ workers. I would NOT recommend ADP to anyone!

I am sorry to see the concerns raised. I have asked our leadership team to look into this and respond to first the agency then to you. Have you sent the agency tracer notice into ADP? I didn't see receipt of any new ones. If you have not already sent the notice/s in please send to agencynoticesetup@adp.com or fax 855-399-8439.
Thank you

We switched to them and from the minute we started we had issues. I should have known to not move forward with them when one of the account set up members started an argument with me over emails so bad that our account manager had to pull her off our account. They entered SSN incorrectly, deductions incorrectly. We have many that have 401K and they never sent the payments to the company so I spent 4 hours fixing the balances that hadn't been sent. They were taking the money out just not sending it. I ended up having to go the DWD site and calculating all money missed in interest and we ended up paying that not them. In the 4 months we had them we paid them 1 time because of the constant mess up.

The company I work for uses ADP for payroll services. I have child support that is payroll deducted, and ADP HAS NOT submitted these payments for the past 5 WEEKS!!! Therefore, I am looking at A LOT OF LEGAL ISSUES!!! Someone please tell me how this can happen, be tolerated... How can a company just "sit" on money??? I'm not the only one, there are at least 100 people going through this as well.
Jennifer if you would like us to look into this for you please message us with the name of your employer as it appears on your paystubs.

Was trying to settle a dispute that was suppose to cleared up on your end that resulted in my account being over drawn $-159.00. This dispute has been going on a month and I was under assumption it was being taken care of being as though I follow my end and did protocol. Customer service reps and supervisor has been very rude. I was being placed on hold for nearly 1 hr. And I have a screenshot of my phone call to let you know how long. Please this needs to be address. I should not be treated so rude with money that should not of been taken out in the first place.

I get a weekly direct deposit from ADP and there is always a issue with the deposit, I changed and updated my address 3 weeks prior to stopping my direct deposit and requested for a paper check via US mail. ADP stopped my direct deposit, issued me a paper check but sent it to my previous address 4 states away. I'm still waiting for my court-ordered child support.
Hi Julie,

ADP needs to bring its support back to the US. There is such a huge cultural difference, that the call center I dealt with couldn't problem solve off the script. And the fact that the only way to make a payment for unresolved invoices to MAIL A CHECK!?!?!? Really? MAIL A CHECK??? What year is this?
Susan,
Sorry your expectations haven't been met. If you need assistance please message us with your company code/region and the name of your company as it shows on ADP reports.

My paycheck was deposited into my ADP account on Friday and on Sunday I received a call from the "fraud department" advising of "unusual activity." My balance was ZERO - money was taken out in increments of $400 from five different ATM machines. ADP refuses to reimburse the money while performing their "investigation" which could take between 30-90 days. This is paycheck money! I can't pay my bills until the next pay period. Every major bank in the United States reimburses money missing due to possible fraud the next day. It is the company's responsibility to secure their network - my card never left my wallet. ADP was HACKED in May, 2016 due to their lack of security yet I have to wait up to 90 days to get my money back?
John,
I see our service team contacted you and worked through this issue with you. Please let us know if you do not receive the credit as promised or your replacement card.

ADP is the worst company I have EVER worked with in my professional career. We used them due to a referral from a bookkeeper. They allowed employees to fraudulently put themselves on our healthcare program and now we are in lawsuits with these employees due to what ADP allowed. We could NEVER get anyone on the phone to answer any questions. ESPECIALLY when it came to healthcare. Now I just got a notice that they didn't pay any of my taxes for 2016 so far and I have to go to court and show where these were paid. Since I canceled ADP I don't have access to any of these reports and of course ADP is clueless. Just spent 1.5 hours on the phone AGAIN!!! We will never use this company EVER EVER EVER!!!
Happy to help Courtney. Please send a private response with the company code and region as well as the company name as it appears on ADP reports. Once I have that I will have the service team escalate.
Thank you

When my work gave me the option to use ADP I decided to give them a try and let me tell you that was a huge, huge mistake. Last month I had two fraudulent charges on my card, one for $175 and the other for $94... Since it's been over a month and I haven't heard anything back even though I call them at least once a week they just told me today it's now going to take another 45 to 50 days before a decision is made if I will get that money back! After looking at all of the reviews now I understand why ADP does NOT participate in the ConsumerAffairs authorized partner program... For the love of God stay away from this company and if you choose to use them pray to whoever your God is that you do not receive a fraudulent charge.
