I've used Ship a Car Direct before and when my daughter was transferring from New Jersey to Houston, I went with them again to ship my daughter's car. The customer service rep was very helpful. The delivery driver was very competent and safety conscious, plus he handled the vehicle well. It was delivered in good time. Ship a Car Direct has been very professional.

It was also good with their customer service representative. If I had any questions, they always answered it and I didn't have any issues with them. We always kept text conversations with the truck driver too. Overall, they're reliable.

Please don't choose this company. My recent car shipping experience with Ship A Car Direct was very unsatisfactory. The communication with this company was the main problem I had. My car was picked up on a Wednesday in Michigan and was due to arrive in San Diego in about 7 days. One week later I received another call asking to pick up my car again (?) in Michigan. When I called to find out what was going on, David would be nice on the phone and never return my phone calls. I received emails from their marketing dept asking if I was satisfied with the delivery but the car didn't get delivered! No one would call me back until we started calling the trucker who accidentally called me to pick up my car in Michigan. We actually were ready to call and file a stolen car police report. So, in short, if you want to sit on pins and needles with no communication and have nights with no sleep because of worry, then this is your company.

Shipped my car from California to Maryland. Everything went very well and we got the car delivered 1 day later than the driver estimated. Everyone in the process was very helpful and very professional. I would recommend to anyone who needs this kind of service. One suggestion to the driver is that I feel it will be better if the driver can send out the pickup notice the day before picking the car for a 1-2 hours time window. 40 minutes notice prior to the pickup is a little bit too short. If I could give this company a 0 out of 5 or a negative score, I would. I worked with Eric, and it was an absolute nightmare. I called to ask about shipping a vehicle from Los Angeles to Minnesota. The prices were good and seemed legit, so I went with them. Worst mistake of my life. This resulted in me needing to call them for everything, zero useful communication from them to me unless I pestered them. I received spam emails from my agent about shipping a car, these had zero useful information. My card was "accidentally" charged after I switched carriers due to a "computer error", and then my credit card number was also stolen after they saved it in their system. A strange coincidence but no proof that it was actually this company so benefit of the doubt here, still a terrible experience.

I looked at Ship a Car Direct's reviews and they are doing a good job. I had them ship two cars from Boston to San Jose and they shipped the first car smoothly, but not the other one. The second car was shipped two weeks ago and I was supposed to receive it last Saturday but nobody called or said anything. They should've warned me. When I was talking with their agents, two of them hung up on me. They all noticed the truck broke down and didn't want to deal with me. I told the next person that if he hangs up on me, I'd talk to the manager. The agent that I arranged with called and said she’s going to get back to me. Then one of the supervisors called me and said the truck broke down in Wyoming. The carrier company called me the following day too. Ship a Car Direct could have done a better job and should’ve communicated with me in a better way, so I would not get surprised. I needed the car and I’m still waiting for it.

Matt and his company are just a fee for referral service for actual transport companies I quickly learned not in control or responsible for the actual company contracted to move your car (Lions transport - stay away). While I am clearly ignorant to how the transport business is conducted I don't feel that is good reason to have suffered indifference from Matt & Ship a Car Direct, more indifference, delays & verbal abuse from a driver at the company Matt selected for us (Lion transport - did I say stay away). While I am only 1 voice in many and plenty of people I'm sure haven't had my same problems I felt it too important to add my experience to your search for peace in your transport journey.

I got an online quote from them but it was $100 off which was an unpleasant surprise when it went up but at that point I didn't want to switch. I didn’t stay in complete contact with Lisa. I got tasked off to somebody named Gabby and then there was another person named Marcela. It was all good and I have no complaints. Their quote was also cheaper than getting a U-Haul auto carrier. Everything that their guys did was good like the way they followed up and advised me on what to expect, when to expect it, how much it was going to cost, when the carrier was finally selected, who the carrier was, and what I could expect from them. All the questions were answered before they could be asked.

In the future, however, I would ask for a covered carrier. Then when it came up to $850, I jumped on the opportunity because $850 is a brainless solution. The simpler choice was to go the cheaper route.

Better customer satisfaction can be achieved.

Ship a Car Direct shipped my vehicle from California to Crown Point, Indiana. Their prices were competitive and I liked Angela, the rep whom I spoke to. She was great and very responsive. She was able to work through some invoicing with me. She answered all my questions about the actual carrier and provided the documentation on the carrier as well. She followed up afterwards as well as during the week in which the car was to be picked up. The car was picked up early and delivered early. It was the most painless part of my cross-country move and it was very much appreciated. Angela and the carrier were fantastic. I had no issues and I would absolutely recommend them again a 100%.
