    I Googled shipping company and a few of them came up. I picked Ship a Car due to the price. I talked to them on the phone but then the rep told me to go online to fill up all the information. The website was easy to use and the customer service rep was good. There was a situation with the first driver. The key was misplaced by the auction place so they gave me another driver.     Got Ship a Car Direct to transport a vehicle for me and my one complaint was the bad communication. There was a range of dates when they were supposed to pick the vehicle up but I never heard from them other than the date could be anytime. There was no communication that the organization they subcontracted to were on their way until about two hours before they showed up. I had people who were gonna be helping me get the vehicle picked up and they were in limbo for three days, waiting to figure out when it was gonna be. Apart from that, they did a good job. It was really cold but they were able to put the vehicle out and get it in the garage.

    I was getting out of the military and they won't ship cars if you're staying in-country. I was Googling how to ship cars across the country and Ship a Car was one of the companies I found with an actual Department of Transportation number. So I decided to go with that because everything else seemed shady. They gave me a pretty good quote and I was only about $50 extra. I dropped off the car somewhere and the driver picked it up. Everything was good to go when he arrived here and he got here quick. However, when I had to drop my car off, I dropped it off at a different company. Apparently, it was a sister company or Ship a Car used their place as a drop-off. But I didn't get any paperwork or receipt that shows that I did drop my car off. I wasn't contracted to their company and it was a little strange that I had to just drop my keys off and that was that.

    I was going to use this company to tow my car from Pittsburgh to Seattle, but ultimately changed my mind and used a different company with a faster time frame. When I let the owner of the company know my decision, she was incredibly rude, unprofessional, and out of line in her emails back to me after I cancelled her services. She gave me some advice on what to say to the first car shipping company we hired went MIA. I in turn used her same advice when telling her I would not longer be utilizing her services, and she jumped down my throat and basically called me a coward. I was shocked that the owner of a company would ever act that way to a customer, or potential customer. After those email exchanges, I realized I was MUCH better off using a different company. I strongly, strongly suggest that anyone who is considering using this company to go elsewhere.

    I had to ship the vehicle I bought from another state and I did a lot of research and found that the industry was very scary for a consumer because there is lack of integrity, honesty, and transparency. The reviews were freaking me out. I was ready to get on a plane and drive my car over here. The first company I got was so unprofessional. They never called me and everything is via email. That was shocking, so I dropped them. When I found Ship a Car Direct, it was a little odd because I continued to get incoming calls from other vendors, and each vendor would call the other vendor a liar.

    I put an order out for the car four days in advance. When it was the day that it was supposed to be picked up I still hadn’t heard anything from Ship a Car. I emailed them and asked, “Are you guys going to pick it up? What's happening?” “We can't find anybody to pick up the car,” they said. Also, I was still receiving incoming calls and I said to Ship a Car, “I have somebody who’s saying they can have someone to pick it up right now.” They replied with "That’s likely not true because we all use the same board.” I was also told that my car is not seen as listed, and that’s why nobody is picking it up. It was back and forth about that not being true.

    Ship a Car told me that I wasn’t likely to get anybody because it was Veterans Day. About an hour later, I got a call and they said, “We did find somebody, but it's going to cost you $100 more.” Another vendor was not going to cost me that money, but I was so fearful at this point that I decided to stay with the vendor that I had read more reviews on. Also, Ship a Car was really trying to help me. The other vendor said, “I'm sorry that you didn’t go with me, but we started a fire under the butt of the other vendor because they're so afraid to lose you that they found somebody after telling you that they weren't able to.” The driver picked the car up and dropped it off on time. It's dirty, but that was understandable given that it's an open carrier. I walked around the car and looked at everything and I didn’t find anything. The car was in good condition and the experience was positive.

    My wife and I bought a car in 2004. We owned it for 12 years and when we moved from California to Montana, we gifted it to our daughter.     I looked online at a few places and saw that Ship a Car Direct had really good reviews while a lot of the other places did not.     I like the fact that Ship a Car Direct had the extra guarantee in case the car got damaged. They are a little pricier than others, but they had a better website and reviews. Customer service needs to be upped a bit, though. I was a little freaked out about waiting for the company that was supposed to pick up the car to contact me. They never really did, so I had to take the lead on that. I asked a rep about it and he said I can call them directly. For the prices Ship a Car Direct is charging me, they should be following up, not me. But I'm glad my car was safe.

    I bought a car from someone in Colorado and used Ship a Car Direct. I thought everything was fine up until the transport started. I felt like I was out of touch with the driver and didn't have any clue where the car was. The driver was a nice guy but he wasn't proactive. My expectation in 2016 is that somehow, there's some tracking page that I can just watch to know where my car is at and get a sense for when are they going to deliver so I'd be home and prepared. I was never able to get a hold of the driver but when I called the customer service for Ship a Car Direct, they managed to get a hold of him and he communicated with us. So overall, it wasn't a huge deal. I just expected to have received more communication or responsiveness from the driver himself.

    Nonetheless, Ship a Car Direct's website and the videos were great. They were extremely helpful and influential in my decision to buy their service.     I have a son that is disabled. He walks but he needs to have the assistance of crutches. He moved to California because my daughter lives there, but he said he'll come back home after a year. I did not want him to drive by himself all the way from Los Angeles to Houston, so we felt, as a family, that it was in his best interest to just ship the car back home. It would make more sense than him driving down and stopping here and there.

    Over a year ago, my son was here in Houston and we used Ship a Car Direct. He went over there, stayed a year, and then came back home. Dave and the other customer service people responded well. I called, got the quote, and we discussed what it was. I explained how nervous I was as it was my first time to do this, and he assured me. Everything that was told to me fell in place, and the pricing was as competitive, or just a tad better than some of the other ones. And because Ship a Car Direct did a good job the first time, I called back again and told them I need to bring the car back home. I was happy to get the same guy. Everything worked out the way I was told, and it was great. I would get them and do it again if my son decides to go back to California.

    When they picked up the car, originally it was at my house, and the rep told me exactly what they're going to do, gave me the quote, approximately how much it was going to cost, who was picking out the contact, their contact, customer service, and the 800 number. There are different carriers they use to do the deliveries, so they told me who that was going to be, their contact number, and then just so I'd be on the safe side, what my price or deposit was. Then when they finally delivered, we had to pay the rest. Throughout the whole process, either the rep or someone in customer service would shoot me emails saying everything is still on track and I was being kept posted on the goings-on. If there was anything I wasn't sure about, I would ask. They gave me what I needed step-by-step, even to look at a video to see how it works.

    When it was over, they did a follow-up. They sent me an email saying "Don't forget, any time you need us, we're here. Contact us again if you need to use us again." This is what I want someone to do to continue getting business from me because that was important for me. That interaction means a lot for any potential customer to work that well.

    I was buying a car in a different state and I didn't feel like packing on 2,000 miles onto it just getting it home. Using Ship a Car was convenient and they were one of the first ones I found.     I found Ship a Car Direct online and they had good reviews so I went with them. My representative was nice on the phone and worked with me. I used their online quote calculator and I was able to compare the price with other companies. And it also gave me a basis when I talked with the representative of my account on what to expect. The quote given was exactly spot-on.

    I'm on active duty as a military and it was somewhat of a unique situation based on my timeline of orders of when I had to move just because I had to be in one location to another based on the orders, not based on my own personal choice as a military. I first spoke to Bruce about two months prior to shipping my car. I gave him my timeline and the dates that I needed to have my car where it ended up and he was very straightforward.     I had an extremely excellent experience with Ship a Car Direct. I bought a car from a dealer that I've never met from upstate. My son and I bought it together for his older brother who needed one. It was my job to find the person who’ll transport it, and it didn't take very long before I realized that it is the transport organizer's job to pick out the right transporter. Ship a Car was more expensive than the other people, but my son wanted to get the best one out there and it wouldn’t have mattered what anybody else would have offered to do it for. The price that Ship a Car gave me was very fair. When it was all said and done, it was only $20 more than one of the other people that didn’t have near the reputation that Ship a Car offered. Their pricing was competitive and we were willing to pay extra to get something from Pennsylvania to Florida to make sure it arrived here in good condition.

    The person that I talked with on the phone was courteous and polite. My son wanted to ask them if they could do any better with the price so I did. The rep said he'll find out and then gave me a callback and said, “Here's what we can do.” He was willing to earn my business. Then they got the carrier there the day after I called, which I was ready to wait a couple of weeks if need be and he got the car here two days later. So it was three days from the time that I called their rep and we were fortunate, we got a good carrier. I also watched their videos prior to even talking to anyone on their website and those are very convincing. We had a good experience with them and we certainly would use them again if we had anything to move anywhere. Everything went better than I thought it might.

    I was moving from Seattle to Orlando and I needed to move my vehicle along with all my stuff. I went to Ship a Car Direct's web page and it's really forthcoming and frank on the state of business. Their rates are competitive with others, too. Once I submitted all the information in - what kind of car, where we're going - they got back to me with a quote pretty quickly. They told me that the actual shipper would contact me as opposed to them but they would still be available to answer questions.

    I was looking to move to California from Georgia and I had initially considered driving but I've got a five-year-old son and that was going to be difficult for him. So I decided I'll have my truck transported and I looked at a lot of online reviews. I also went to my local dealership, asked them if they could recommend someone and they did. I was excited about their recommendation because I thought the problem was solved. However, when I went home and Googled the company, they got horrible reviews and I had a hard time finding even a list that was comprehensive. Finally I did and Ship a Car Direct was number one on that list. There was one other carrier who sent me a quote for $1,650, then I called Ship a Car Direct and they beat that price by about $100. I dealt with a guy named Eric over the phone and I felt very comfortable with him and just decided to go with him.

    Initially, I was having some difficulties with getting a quote from them. They have a pricing cap on their website and I was trying to get my truck to a small town in California near Sacramento. It kept saying that there was a problem and wouldn't accept the ZIP code as input. Eric explained that it was because the carriers don't like to ship to these small areas, which is something I was unaware of, but makes sense really since they're dealing with such a big load. Eric also told me about the videos that they have on their website that could help to answer some of the questions I may have. He walked me through the entire process of how things worked and what to expect. He sent me a lot of emails, checking up with me and giving me updates on the driver. He's very friendly and very helpful.

    The driver then picked the car up on the exact date. I was pretty surprised about that to be honest! I was totally expecting him to be a few days late. But he was not. He picked it up on the exact date, and he got my vehicle to me a day after the day that I requested it to be delivered. I realize that having a vehicle transported isn't a precise process so I was expecting to get my vehicle three to four days after the target date but it was picked up on the exact date and delivered only one day late. So overall it was a great experience!

    My father who lived in South Carolina passed away. He had a practically new car so we decided to have it shipped down here in California where we live. I looked at several transport companies but Ship a Car Direct's website was great. They have probably ten videos about how the process worked, what was needed to do to prepare the car, how the payment and transaction worked, and how it's dropped off. Those videos made a difference. I also called and spoke with the person there and he seemed really nice. I called them to get a quote but they routed me back and said for me to just use the online quote thing. I did that and got a quote very quickly, within a couple of hours. I got two other quotes and Ship a Car Direct was not necessarily the cheapest, it was in the middle. But all quotes were very close, within a few percent of each other.

    I had a lot of interactions with customer service, in a good way. They picked up the car on Thursday. I had a friend out there in South Carolina do the pick up. My friend said that it was really quick and easy, and the driver who picked up the car was very nice. Also, the driver said it would probably take seven to ten days but the car was out here in four. I wasn't home at the time since I didn't expect it to be delivered anywhere near that soon. The driver of the truck called me when he was a few hours out. They actually tried to get in touch with me several times but since they couldn't, they left the car at a nearby partner of theirs at no charge.

    I've heard of other people getting charged storage fees but Ship a Car Direct didn't. They contacted me and sent me an email and I went and picked the car up. They called me afterwards from 3,000 miles across the country to make sure everything was okay and that the car was in great shape. I was really happy. This is the first time I've ever shipped a car and I felt like they made the process really simple and smooth. It was an awesome experience and I'd probably do it again.

    My job moved over to Florida so I needed to ship my vehicle and found Ship a Car Direct's reviews and chose to go with those ratings. The only thing I didn't feel happy about was that I spoke to the transport company who told me the driver would give me a time range on when he will pick up the vehicle. But the driver was not aware of the situation. If he was picking up my car tomorrow morning, I would expect that yesterday I would have been told that he'll come in tomorrow, Saturday morning between 9:00 and 11:00 and pick up the car. Instead, I was called on a Friday evening. I didn't get enough time notice.

    I was moving my home and then got my mobile in my place. I didn't have enough time to shop around to see who can come in which was a bit of a hassle because somebody who was there in my property was moving my stuff and I don't have enough time to attend to them because they need to be informed about what to be moved and what not to. And at the same time, the car shipper was ready for the car but I didn't have a time slot in between for that. That is the only thing that needs an improvement. Whoever is moving a home shouldn't have been bothered about that. Otherwise, it was a really good experience. The driver was courteous, too.

    We were shipping our vehicle to our daughter. She needed a car but didn't want to buy another one. We liked the pricing from Ship a Car Direct. When my husband called them to set all of this up, the people there were very cordial and informative. They answered all of his questions very well and they gave us an excellent quote.

    We live in a rural country and there's no way they could get a car carrier to where we live, so we had to travel about 50 miles and wait for this car carrier to show up. The logistics were coming from Maryland towards Tennessee and their GPS is not always accurate because of road construction, so there were differences in time and other things that happened along the way. It was a little tense, but they delivered the car well. The drivers were so nice to us when we had been sitting there waiting late at night. Then they just took their time putting the car on and were careful with it.

    Our daughter lives in a community in California where big transport truck can't get in. So when they arrived there, they drove her car to pick her up and then she drove the young man back to where his parents were with the big transport truck. I do appreciate that they were so cordial and nice on both ours and our daughter's end. We're senior citizens and we didn't know how to go about it, but the driver and his family took care of us very well.

    I was moving from Michigan to California and had two vehicles. I towed one and needed to transport the other one. I looked at a whole bunch of different companies and I really like that someone from Ship a Car Direct had responded to every complaint on the website I visited.     Ship A Car Direct was really good. Matt, the guy I spoke to, always kept me in the loop. I had a little problem with scheduling on my part because I had to coordinate going to a close on a house, with moving, and with having my car shipped. It was touch and go on the close. I didn't want to have the car shipped out and be left on the East Coast without one. Matt rescheduled me. I had one of my neighbors get the car to the transporter. It worked out perfectly.

    During the time it was being shipped out, I flew out to Phoenix and my car was in transit. The driver and the transporting company kept me informed.     I relocated from Texas to Northern Virginia. I went to several websites, reviewed everybody's ratings and comments as well as the problems and issues that they've had. And Ship a Car was consistently one of the higher rated companies. I took advantage of the estimator then I followed up with a representative. Initially, the quote they gave me was on the higher side. But after it was explained to me and I saw how quickly they were able to establish a contract in a couple of days and get it taken care of, it was a fair and reasonable price.

    I spoke to a young lady and she went through the process fairly quickly. However she didn't go in detail because I did some research and understood what was supposed to happen. But the follow up email communication was good because she provided more information that helped clarify a lot of things. It was what I needed and I was able to look at things online.     We're relocating from Flushing, New York to Frisco, Texas so I shipped my vehicle and the experience with Ship a Car Direct was amazing. It's a grueling experience if one has never shipped a vehicle. I googled vehicle transportation companies and then spoke with one company and they put me up on a board, so I was getting text messages from all these companies and found out some of these companies don't have good reviews. Some of the reviews I read on other companies horrified me. It really petrified me if I'd never see my car again. I got quotes from all of the places and I didn't really know what to do. I must have looked into at least 15 companies and the first thing I did was look at ConsumerAffairs for their rating and if they are accredited. Some of them had a good rating but weren't accredited and I didn't want to give a Mercedes to a company that's not accredited.

    So through my due diligence I found Ship a Car Direct and they had great reviews online. I'm in digital sales and they really were helpful. Their website had all the information and very helpful videos explaining what I should look for and the frequently asked questions that need to be answered when researching to hire companies. From the moment I talked to Scott who answered all my questions, he emailed me tips and videos, even if we haven't chosen to use them yet. Those were some information that were very helpful to me and really does make me feel at ease because moving is stressful and I don't need any more stress. There was no pressure. Scott also calls me back when I call him and I had a question.

    My driver Andy was very professional, punctual, and courteous. Usually if they have cars on, they'll load the car on the back. I was told my car will be in the front because I was one of the last to be dropped off. I got a picture after the car was moved and the way the car was loaded in the transport. My car got to Texas a day early even though my car left before I did. My car left on Wednesday from New York and my car got there Friday afternoon. From the beginning to the end, I was really, really thrilled because I was getting exhausted in the process.

    So, if anybody ever needs to ship their car, I'm gonna take the pain out of their experience and recommend Ship a Car Direct. Go to them because they're really nice, helpful and not pushy. Some companies were pushy and kept calling me back and say that a lot of these companies aren't good and will tell things that aren't true. I was like, "Listen, I have a brain." Please don't go any further with such nonsense. My move, especially my packing, went a lot smoother because I did not have to worry in the back of mind. I also felt really at ease speaking with them.

    I was moving out of state and I just had my car, so I had a slight RD set up and I didn't want to drive. I saw that Ship a Car Direct had really good reviews on the Better Business Bureau and other reviews that I looked at and their price was more competitive.     I had used Ship a Car Direct twice before and I had researched companies when I originally had to ship a car. They popped up, I called them, and they were very responsive. This time, I was moving from Florida to California. I roughly knew how much it was going to be because I had shipped from California to Boston before, so it was a matter of me getting on the phone with the rep, then having him give me a quote, and have a talk about it.

Ship a Car had reviews online and it wasn't going to be that much more expensive than driving my car all the way there so I went with them.     We had a car that my son had left at the college up in Tallahassee and we had to move it off the campus and into storage for a few months. But then, we had to get it shipped down here because someone broke into it and smashed the windows. My wife and I checked online for the ratings for auto transport companies and based it on what we saw on ConsumerAffairs. They rated Ship a Car as the top one which turned out to be a good choice. However, they were not able to give me a quote because their automated calculator didn’t recognize my Zip Code down here. Even though it’s a suburb of Fort Lauderdale they didn’t know where it was. So I called them up and even in the phone they still had trouble finding it, but eventually they were able to get me a quote.

    I talked to Scott, a rep from Ship a Car, and we made the arrangements to have the car transported. He had already found a transport driver within two hours and the car was actually delivered down here the next day. I was very happy with the service. They called us several times because the car didn’t get here until about 10:30 at night. It’s about 500 miles to Tallahassee from here but they kept us informed on how far away they were and whether we still wanted them to come deliver the car that day or wait ‘til the next day. And then when they got here, the car was not drivable. They were able to get it off of the transport vehicle and push it into the driveway where we could take possession of it. So it worked.

I contacted the same person that I have been dealing with because I needed to ship a second car this month. I have another family member moving from Florida to California. And since Ship a Car Direct had a really good rating with the Better Business Bureau and had really good reviews from other customers, I chose them. Every single time I spoke with them, I spoke with the same person and I never had to deal with anybody else which was really nice. I had spoken with Mark and he's been really nice and to the point.     I was moving and instead of driving, I just decided to fly and ship the car. I looked online and Ship a Car Direct vetted their drivers and filtered out their potentially bad drivers. I filled out a form online and I was contacted by them via email. I got a quote fairly quickly which I felt was lower. I remember shipping a car for my daughter years ago.

    I moved for work from Illinois to Alabama. My company typically uses DAS Auto Shippers who I originally chose to ship with but decided to go with another company. Ship a Car Direct had great reviews. I got a quote online. It was a little more than what my previous quote had been but not totally unreasonable and it seemed a lot more reliable. So I decided to go ahead with that. I had family members pick up my car from the auto lot where I had originally dropped it off. And they’re with someone from Ship a Car Direct the next day at my house who was able to pick it up. I got my car in probably less than 24 hours, which is pretty insane, given the previous experience I’ve had.

    The only thing was pricing was a little bit more. But at that point, I was more than happy to spend the additional pricing for something that was reliable. I had a really great experience with their customer service. Every time I called, an actual human picked up the phone, which did not happen with the other company. I had a similar experience also on the carrier’s end as well. They were really good about giving me an ETA and answering my phone calls. They even texted me to let me know when they were in the area, dropping off my car. They had no problem getting into my apartment complex. It was super easy and quick and when I ship my car back, I will definitely be shipping with them again.
