    Everything is working out pretty well so far. But I was trying to pay my bill last week and I never got through. So they called me yesterday and I paid it. The reps were good. I got one oil change done and they rotated my tires while they did it. The claim process went pretty quick. But when both switches of the motor in my sunroof went out, they didn't cover it even though they said they cover electrical. If they say they fix electrical problems, they need to include the sunroof too because that wasn't an added feature. It was on the car.

Rather than lay off our employees, we kept everyone employed and transitioned to a work from home operation. That transition did cause some delays. We appreciate your patience. Now that the work from home issues have been smoothed out, you should not experience any further delays.

    Also, to answer your question, electrical components involved in the operation of your engine and A/C are covered under your plan and the covered components are specifically itemized in your coverage booklet. Unfortunately, the sunroof is not part of the coverage plan.

    When I called Protect My Car, they answered all my questions. They gave me a lower rate than the other ones had offered me. They said I had to be at least out of my 90-day probation period to help me if something happened to my car. I'm still on my 90-day period with them. So far, all I got was a free oil change.

    My warranty ran out and I got tired of paying myself out of pocket for my car 'cause it was expensive. Also, the regular extra warranty is more expensive. They wanted me to pay 150 and some dollars a month, so it would cost that car too much. If I would have known about Protect My Car early, I would have even gotten the extra warranty on my car. I can afford the $113 every month.

    My truck has a lot of miles on it. I have over 200,000 miles on it now. Not that back then, but close to it and Protect My Car would warranty it. Most vehicles stop at a certain mileage. Protect My Car's rep was very convincing but not in a pushy way. He just showed me where the warranty would benefit me. That's why I went along with Protect My Car and got their warranty. I used the oil change. I just gave the shop the card and said, “Hey, I got a free oil change. You can call this number.” It happened as if I went in there to pay for it. “Okay, your car’s ready.” “You don’t owe me,” versus “Pay me.”

    I have an older car so I don’t have warranty on it. I just have insurance. Somebody kept calling me, telling me that I have warranty on my car and I just didn’t remember who I had it with. But I enjoyed Protect My Car's advertisements on my radio stations that I listen to and I took it up from there. The rep went over everything well and I got a good understanding about everything, and everything was nice. The other rate that she gave me was a little more than I could pay and now that I've been out of work for a bit, it’s tough on me. But I like the warranty because anything can happen.

    Protect My Car was cheaper. They had some deals with some offer. I didn't have a warranty on my car so I figured having their warranty would be something pretty decent. The only thing I don't like is that we have to pay half. But so far, I have just used it for oil change. I had to take my car. The shop looked it up and then we had to call Protect My Car. But they were on hold for a long while, so I got on the phone and called and got it taken care of.

    I was introduced to Protect My Car through Bank of America. They had a promotion going on and when I called the bank for something, they offered me Protect My Car's service. The rep whom I spoke with was very kind and quick. He read everything to me and I agreed. When I recently, had a claim some parts were not covered. I wish all of the things that were going wrong were covered. Regardless, I'm very happy with their service. The dealer I worked with was familiar with Protect My Car. Before, I had a little trouble because the dealer I had didn't want to do its part. The one I got most recently took charge and did all the arrangements directly with Protect My Car. That was very good.

    Protect My Car's coverage is bumper-to-bumper coverage and the price is pretty reasonable. Protect May Car covers more parts than anybody else. I kept asking to include parts because it seemed like some of them weren’t covered while some of them were. Also, I got an oil change from them but I didn’t like that experience because they went with Valvoline which I never heard of before. Valvoline billed me and I sent the receipt in, then Protect My Car sent me my money back. They paid too much to Valvoline for what they got. But all in all, they were okay.

    I'm an older person and I paid cash for my vehicle when I bought it. We found in a junkyard, fixed up, and drove it. My husband died a few months earlier and I figured that with nobody with me anymore, I'd be safer to have coverage if anything mechanical happened to my car because I can't afford big payments. Protect My Car had cheaper monthly payments than CarShield. And from what I saw in their advertisements, the coverage was good.     I already had one free oil change and I'm coming up on another in about 1,200 miles. It's a good service and I appreciate it very much. My son-in-law owns a garage and I had my oil change there.     The last time I called, they said my parts didn’t cover timing chain belt. But the guy I got there was pretty good and I got my answer. When I call Protect My Car, they tell me the place where I can get the service done. I’ll take it to the place and then I call them to see if they cover it. If they cover it, then they’re gonna have to call Protect My Car and talk to them too. Once they do that, they call me and let me know if it’s okay and what I got to do. But I thought the coverage would be a lot cheaper, but then it wasn't. I thought they said it was gonna be about $77 and not $90. Other than that, I would tell anybody to get it for their car. It's kinda easy to get in touch with them. I don’t have to be on hold so long. As long as they stick with their word, they’re all right with me.

    The Protect My Car rep I talked to was very informative and really cool. We ended up sitting on the phone for about an hour and we asked him to look at things up. We talked about different things as well because he lives right above me in Virginia. He let me know how the service works, how much it is, what it covers, how long it will cover my vehicle, and how many miles or how many years. What sold me on Protect My Car is the fact that they cover the oil changes and there are also tire rotations twice a year.

    They cover three oil changes a year and I had an oil change done right before I traveled to Ohio on the 31st of July. I went right through the dealership and the rough part was for the dealership themselves. They were on hold for 40 something minutes to get ahold of Protect My Car for them to cover the bill. But once the guy was on the phone with them, it was like boom, boom, boom, done. I already have almost 5,000 miles on that thing so, within a three-week period, I'm gonna need another oil change. I like them so far. What is cool about it is that I had to pay $87 a month but if something big breaks down, I'm good to go.

    Another warranty person had called me when I purchased my vehicle. It just seemed like with Protect My Car, they cover everything except for the turbo that's on my vehicle which is understandable and the lady explained it to me. The turbo normally doesn't go out like that so they don't cover that. I recently used my warranty for one of my oil changes and I had no problem. I like the oil change. And their prices were better.

    I feel comfortable to even go out of town on the 20th. I was gonna call Protect My Car to make sure my payments and everything were taken care of. So, when I get on the highway, I can feel safe and comfortable. If I need them, I can call. I like that I can get a room if my car breaks down. If there’s something with my engine, they cover. I love it all. I told my guy friend about it because he asked me as far as the maintenance on the Caddy which has been inexpensive. I explained to him that I have Protect My Car and a lot of things that are covered is half. He said that was pretty good.

    I liked the price that Protect My Car had. I was paying 20, 30 bucks lesser than the average warranty companies. Their salespeople were okay. I took my car in one time and customer service, along with the people at the dealership, was informative. I was sitting in the car dealership thinking it was probably gonna take about an hour to find out the response. But that came back quickly. I was impressed with that. Protect My Car was okay. At the time I chose them, it was okay for me financially. But not anymore since everything else that’s been happening. I was talking to one of their representatives a couple of weeks ago and I was telling him I was gonna cancel my policy. It’s just the finances.

    Protect My Car came highly recommended and I signed up with them because of personal preference and their internet rating. When I purchased the warranty, the customer service was good. I have also done the free oil change and it went smoothly. I had to call a person then I got put on hold and do the mileage. I went back and forth on the phone for five minutes and it could have gone a lot smoother if the dealership had better access. They should have a card or a number which would automatically pay for the service. When I told them that I wanted to do the free oil change, the guy at the dealership said that it was a headache. He said they couldn't do this and that. He also said that they don't get their money and he was a little discouraged when I told him which route I was going. So they were reluctant about doing it, then they told me to go ahead but I had to pay and let Protect My Car reimburse me.

    I hate fixing a car and having to pay a note. Also, my husband was driving the Hyundai most of the time for work and we wanted to make sure it’s dependable so we got a service contract with Protect My Car.     The prices were right with Protect My Car. Customer service was excellent and I didn't have any doubts. They explained everything in detail and everything worked out exactly how they said it would. However, when I made claims because I got my oil changed, that was kind of iffy. I went to Jiffy Lube and they said, "No, we don't do that here." But when I went to one right here by my house, they said they could do that. I had to find a provider that did work with Protect My Car and was willing to actually do the paperwork to do it. Other than that, the process was smooth.

    I contacted Protect My Car just because of the first place I went to. I had to call to make sure and they confirmed that they did it with Jiffy Lube and to go to them. When I got there, I told them to call a certain number and they would give them the account to pay for it. The only thing with Protect My car is if they had an app, that would be amazing so that if I need roadside assistance, I'd be able to use the app instead of having to look for my card.

We urge customers to call us when the shop they want to use objects to the coverage. The coverage is there, and being paid for, by our customer.     Thank you for your comments. You raised a very important issue and we are happy to respond to it. This coverage is for mechanical breakdowns and does not cover wear and tear items or most maintenance items (we do cover oil changes and tire rotations on most coverage plans). The reason we do not cover these items is because those are things you can plan for. Mechanical breakdowns are almost never expected and that makes it very difficult to pay those unexpected costs. That is why protecting yourself against those costs in advance makes so much sense.

    We are also always concerned that the cost of the coverage remains affordable for folks on a tight budget. Covering wear and tear items and maintenance items would significantly increase the cost of the coverage and prevent folks who need the coverage from affording it.     I had just signed up with another company, and a couple of days after, Protect My Car called me and they were telling me what's the offer and the extra was the oil change for the same price. So, I went with them. The reps answered all my questions. The only thing was I have some issues with the car and it was like six days before my contract was valid and it was a 30-day wait. Nobody had explained that part to me. So I had a problem with them like for a whole week with getting the car fixed. I had to fight back and forth with them. They didn’t pay for everything. They just paid for my radiator. I asked them and I begged them to honor the contract, and they didn’t. That was the part that I really didn’t like because they could have honored it. I left the other company. If I had stayed with the other company, they would have paid for everything.

    My car is gonna have infinite problems. I had Endurance and they denied all the claim. I looked around for other companies and checked about six companies. I went with Protect My Car and the plan I got was supposed to be a Platinum. But I found out Protect My Car doesn’t cover everything. They say they cover everything, but they don't. They didn't cover the blower motor, the air condition blower motor and the tempered windshield. But when I got it, they told me they cover everything. But they only cover a couple component. Then they say they only cover what is in the booklet, and the booklet do not cover everything. In the booklet, it covers all the lubricating part in the engine, the water pump, a couple of things, but they cover everything on the car. I took my car to Cadillac dealership, I thought the blower motor and the front tempered windshield were covered, but they don't cover that. They don’t cover a lot of things.

Please remember that this coverage is for mechanical breakdowns.     I heard about Protect My Car on Nashville radio. I called in and Protect My Car was the most expensive. They were charging somewhere around $4,000. I've been offered anywhere from 1,000 and 1,200 and from what I found, an average car warranty costs around 1,500 bucks. The only reason I went with Protect My Car versus another company is because they guaranteed me that they would take care of me if something ever happened to my vehicle, whereas the other ones, there were always stipulations. They also took away my deductible for being a first responder.

    More recently, I had a problem with my truck and it turns out that they told me that they weren't even supposed to give me a warranty in the first place because I bought my truck with some stuff on it. Lo and behold, they still honored the deal with the deductible and they got the truck fixed. Another thing is they only have a 7-day rental car policy and because of all the confusion, my car took roughly three weeks to fix. They helped cover the additional days as well. Unfortunately, I can't be a member anymore from what they were telling me. My vehicle doesn't qualify.

    Overall, people should double check modifications and definitely double check with the company. That was exactly what I did, but I was told I was still okay. They then told me that, essentially, that was somebody who must have been training and took on the wrong deal. Still, they took care of me. I have nothing but 5 stars for this company, but at the end of it, now I don't have coverage and I can't give them exemplary remarks.

    ProtectMyCar came to me through an over the phone automated survey while attempting to make my first car payment to Chrysler Capital. When I told the sales person that I'd rather go over the details with my spouse first because I am using her bank card...the person insisted that getting the policy first was a much better option (with a lot of words and explanations)... It didn't go well when I shared the news with her.

    Not only am I an accomplished DIY repair person but have a very good reliable car. When considering the overall cost of much of the repairs I could easily do myself, I called back to cancel. Nobody I've talked to after 3 attempt treated me as if I was smart enough to be making the right decision...being giving reason after reason why they feel bad about the idea and explaining the reality of having an expensive breakdown. Offering little things like 2 week deferred first payment...bringing the payment down by 10 dollars etc. I'm still in the process of trying to cancel.

    For example...I can replace an in tank fuel pump (about $100) quite quickly (4-5) hours. Why would I pay them to cover the tow to the shop (only $100) leaving me with about $150 on the tow fee. And then help with the approximate $500 repair fee? When I can do it myself in an afternoon for about $100? These policies are for non mechanically inclined customers.

    I have a 2007 Chevy Silverado and a 2007 Chevy Malibu. I got a service contract in case anything happened. My vehicles were kind of older, and you never know what can happen.     I knew I was gonna need a warranty on my vehicle that I just got. It was getting close to 100,000 miles and I owe so much on it that it’d be better for me to go ahead and get some warranty that would help me out in case I had an issue.     I was referred to Protect My Car by my daughter-in-law. She also has the same make and model that I had. She doesn't really drive her vehicle because she has multiple vehicles. So, for anything major, she never needed that just yet. But she referred me to them because she felt as though they were good. And at that time, my factory warranty expired so it was time for another extended warranty. I'm very dissatisfied with Protect My Car though. It really doesn't cover anything. Ever since I had the extended warranty, my vehicle has been in the shop five times and they never covered anything the whole five times that it was there.

    My vehicle was recently in the shop for my compressor pump. They covered part of that, but still not all of it. When the shop reached out to Protect My Car, they said that they only cover the pump and not the tube to the compressor of the AC. They never covered the piece, nor did they cover the power steering. So, I had to pay $700 and some out-of-pocket because they only covered one item in that instance. I had a power steering leak, and they didn't cover it. I'm really thinking about canceling Protect My Car because they're really not helping me every time my vehicle goes in the shop.

Although the pump was not a covered under your coverage plan, we did good will that repair as well. To date, the coverage has paid over $2,200 toward repairs, while the coverage since you purchased it some time ago has cost around $450.00. That means the coverage has saved you over $1,750.00 in vehicle repairs. That's money you would have had to pay if you had not had the foresight to protect yourself with this coverage.

    Protect My Car doesn’t cover some things I need right now. I understand they don't cover hoses and such. It has to do with the radiator. I've called my Allstate agency because I have towing with them with my insurance. So, they're coming get me because my car just overheated over an hour ago, and I'm stuck. I have to wait for the tow guy to come and get. There's a lot of issues going on with my car right now, and Protect My Car is not able to help me. I haven't gotten any services from them, and I’ve had it since February. I'm paying $79 for nothing right now. I had to call my Allstate agency because I didn't want to use Protect My Car. They only provide two roadside services. That’s the other thing I'm not happy about. That should be a little more.

    I know some things are covered and some things aren't. The way I look at it, it's mostly the more expensive, big deal things that are covered. All the stuff that are excluded are smaller like air filters and airbags, alternative fuel systems, belt, etc. Protect My Car told me I would need shocks and struts and those aren't covered either. So, there's a lot of stuff on here that are not covered, but I wish that they were. It would’ve been better if they were. The book says, “Applies only to mechanical breakdowns. Items that are not mechanical breakdowns are excluded.” So, mechanical breakdowns, that means big time stuff like transmission. So, routine maintenance, except for all changes. That's good. The only thing I've utilized are the oil changes. I've had that twice now. That was one thing that was helpful.

    I had CarShield before, and I went with Protect My Car because their salesman convinced me that they were better than CarShield. So, I went with Protect My Car thinking I could get better service. But so far, I haven't been able to use them at all. They aren't good for me at this point. I've had to get everything that I’ve needed done, which was one great job. I had to pay, $200 or something for my mechanic, and he's reasonable. If they referred people to a mechanic shop, that would help. I don't know who’s reasonable to use in my area. I don't have a lot of money, so I have to go as cheap as possible to get things fixed.

    Everything with Protect My Car is doing okay. I didn't have my VIN at the time I was getting signed up, so it took me a while to get that information. Everything worked out okay when I did get that information together. I'm not quite sure if it's beneficial right now because as I'm looking at it as time is going on, it's like I'm paying a whole lot of money and I'm not really getting anything done. I had an oil change, but that's the only thing I've had done, which I'm paying a whole lot more money than that right now on a monthly basis.     I thought of giving Protect My Car a shot since I got a 2014. I read into more details once I got into it and see how it went. And the other part of it that was good was I can cancel at any time. It has been going good so far. It was a little slow on the phone part of it when I had to get ahold of them when I've had to do oil changes. The first oil change I had, the guy had to wait on the line for like 20 minutes before he could talk to somebody, which is a long time when he's trying to run around and run a business.     I usually like to have warranties on my vehicles. The car was getting up in age so I just knew at some point I would need the repair services. It's a good kind of hedge against expensive bills showing up. Protect My Car seemed to have a good reputation from the reviews. I mostly did my purchase online. Somebody called me, but I had already made the decision to go with the company, so they give me a little information. They did a good job. I had some few pointed questions that I needed addressed and they were able to address those and also let me know about the cancellation policy. But for the most part, I had already made up my mind.     I was checking my balance on my car, and there was an offer from Protect My Car. I've only had two calls with their customer service. Once, it was kinda confusing. I was told that I'd receive three oil changes a year. When I spoke with the young lady, I said, “That's great 'cause my car needs oil change and as well as Havoline.” When I got there, they said that Havoline wasn't part of their client list and it was Valvoline. I said, “I kinda confirmed with her, like spelled it out to her and everything. She told me, ‘Yeah. It's covered.’” It was just a misunderstanding on that part.

    There should be a specific list of retailers that they do use that they are already automatically approved by. Also, there could be a clearer list of what is and isn't covered. I didn't know that the exhaust manifold is not covered. I'm like, "Well, what am I paying for?" I can see the catalytic converter because it's not really something that the car needs to actually run, but the exhaust manifold is, and it's not covered.Everything else is pretty good.

    I thought Protect My Car was CarShield. I had seen a commercial on TV and it said it was CarShield. I told the representative that spoke to me when I went on with them that, "You are CarShield?" I thought he said, "Yes." So I gave him all the information and I signed up with them. Then later, I found out that it was not CarShield, it was Protect My Car, but they've been pretty good with me, doing what I need and the oil changes, so I'm good with it.

    I recently got oil changed on my car. The second time when I got the oil change, there was a problem because they took too long. I told the owner at the shop, "Well, you shouldn't have changed the oil if you weren't sure that they were gonna do it." I don't wanna do something that they are gonna have a problem with. I should have told him, "Call them first." But he went ahead and changed the oil, and then he tried to call Protect My Car. So, that took a while. I was there for about 20 minutes, and he was like scratching his head, thinking that I wasn't gonna pay, and I said, "No, I already came here one time to you. But the thing is that you have a question about it. You should have first called them like you did the first time I went." Other than that, Protect My Car is excellent because I haven't had any problems with them.

    I just googled one of the best warranty companies and Protect My Car's name popped up. They had a good price and interactions with their rep was smooth. She was good and she explained everything. Most of the things were clear. She sent me the sample of that also. If I could go through and look at it and if I had any questions, then it would help me.

    My wife and I purchased a car. It’s old. And times are kind of hard, so the help with the payments and fixing the car would help. I heard of Protect My Car on the radio one day. It went over my head, and the next day, I heard it again. I decided to call them to see what's going on with it. I used to get a call about warranties but I never listened to it. But it was a time I actually needed them because I didn't get the car out of the dealership. I got it from an independent seller. I have to get the car inspected. The payments could be crazy. And it’s a BMW, so I had to do something to lessen the payments. I would call to find out what I can and can't use because I’m not too familiar with the service. But the reps have been very helpful and patient.

    I did an oil change. I got the tie rods, the links, and a wheel alignment all done in one day.     I've been with Protect My Car for about seven to eight months now and I just recently put in a claim for my 2014 Infiniti. Upon putting in the claim, they said to take it to a shop and let them know. When I got it to the shop, I talked to the people there and asked them if they were able to use Protect My Car as part of however they do their mechanic stuff. The guy there was asking my contract number. I called Protect My Car back and got my contract number and gave it to the mechanic so he could talk to the adjuster. After my car was done, I got a phone call from Protect My Car saying that they couldn’t honor this. I asked why, as it was a transmission problem, and this was the reason why I got them. I had been paying on it several months prior and nothing was wrong with the car at the time that I got it. I just wanted to get it because I knew how a later model car could cause problems.

    Out of the blue, they called me and said that I would have to take it somewhere else. They didn’t honor it. I looked around and found a place in Windsor, where I live at, that would do the work. The people gave me a quote and told me this is what they would charge. I let Protect My Car know that this is what I was doing. I didn't go ahead and do the work. I wanted to make sure it was something that was covered. They told me yes. Then I got a callback from a guy saying that they don't want to work with that garage as that was blacklisted. I'm like, “What?” When I'm in search of a mechanic, I'm only doing my searches in my near area. This is not something that I come across every day so I wouldn't have known that they were blacklisted. But when I let the lady know that I was working with the Windsor, Connecticut garage, she said that was fine.

    They also stated that I have to let the garage owner or the mechanic call them with an estimate and I said okay. So, I let them work that out after I made the claim. I don’t know what happened in between there. The mechanic and adjuster didn’t tell me anything. But the work was done. I was satisfied with the mechanic’s job. The unit was running smoothly when I went and checked on it. He said that he even talked to the adjuster and let them know that this is what they did. So now, I'm stuck with the payment and Protect My Car didn't even cover, but they’re steadily taking out a hundred and something dollars and telling me that they will help me, then they won't. I haven’t pulled yet, but I want to cancel it only because of my experience where it is not too good for me. I just haven't had a chance. I’m trying to understand why these guys are not honoring my policy. I was very dissatisfied.

This is not reimbursement coverage, but coverage that reduces you repair costs by 50% if we are allowed to process the claim before work is done on the vehicle. You are right, though. Older vehicles tend to have mechanical breakdowns at a higher rate than newer cars.

    Protect My Car offered a lower down payment and a good plan for my car so I went ahead with them. I originally was asked for $100 down payment but I didn't have that. I had 52 bucks on a card. They went ahead and let me do the down payment with that so that was convenient for me at the time. But since I've had Protect My Car, I had a bit of problems. When I wanted to get my oil changed, I wasn't able to until I paid the full amount that I was past due.

    Then I had needed a tune up the actual day that I paid my past due balances but they didn't cover me. My car was there in the shop and I asked to speak to a supervisor. I told them, "I haven’t worked due to COVID. I need transportation. Is there any way you can pay them and I work on a payment plan with you guys?” They said, “No. That's in one of our things that we're considering but it hasn't passed yet. I'm sorry, but I can't help you.” Also, I was promised a Visa gift card after my first payment but here I am going on my third and I haven't received that either. But as far as signing up, it was good. The down payment was good and their reviews were good.

    I had run out of my warranty that I purchased when I bought my car. I've looked at a few companies when they call me and I didn't like what they were giving me. When somebody from Protect My Car called me, it was pretty much close to the same warranty I had. However, the rep could've been a bit better explaining things because when I purchased it, he told me it was x amount of days or x amount of miles. He didn't say x amount of miles and x amount of days.

    I went to the dealership to get work done and I wanted to get my oil changed, and Protect My Car gave me a couple oil changes with the purchase. But I got denied on their oil change because it wasn't the x amount of days, but I was at the x amount of miles. I called many representatives until I finally spoke to somebody else. He lowered the price of my premium so it was less because of their confusion, plus because of the COVID-19. He got me to keep it because I was going to cancel it before the 30-day period.

    I had a lot of confusion in the beginning and nobody explained it to me until I told the person I was canceling and they sent me to the last person that does the canceling. It was that last person that does the canceling that got me to keep it. The people need to explain things a whole lot better, like how the guy at the cancelation section does.

    I end up seeing Protect My Car online while I was looking for another company. I saw CarShield too. I've seen a commercial on TV but somebody told me that it wasn't all that great. I read the reviews and I decided to go with Protect My Car. Their rep was pretty good. My car broke down a few times and they gave me no problems. Submitting a claim was easy. I call them and let them know ahead of time as soon as an issue happens and the last shop I took it to like Firestone. Protect My Car had an actual account with the Firestone so that was an easy process right there. They fixed what was covered.

    Protect My Car works with me. I have read a couple of bad things about them. But I never read an issue where they didn't wanna cover whatever was damaged if it was under warranty. They always did. I just had like $1,000 worth of work done on my car. I've had a satisfying experience with them but I hope our car doesn't break down so I'd have to use them again.     I don't like the way Protect My Car does business because it takes too long. A month ago, I had a claim for a dead battery. I had to go up there and that took a long time on hold to be able for them to even tell me that they would have to have a tow truck. They got the tow truck. They then recommended a partner but the guy said they didn't even have their major mechanic there, so I couldn't reroute it in time. I had to pay for a separate towing because of that.

    If I needed a major mechanic, then I had to call them. It took an hour to get ahold of Protect My Car to collect a part of the payment. I then found out that the battery didn't even get covered. I thought I had most of my car covered for things like the windshield and stuff. I was like, "Wait a minute here. The stuff that most likely will break within five years, you're not gonna cover?" Did the policy even include headlights? And the battery cost was like $150 or $200. I could have just gone to Walmart and bought one.

    So far, I'm dissatisfied. It seems like there is a clause that says they don't have to pay for such and such. If so, then what do they pay for exactly? That kind of makes me lose confidence that the car is truly covered if there are all these exclusions in the 50 pages of paperwork. Is it really too burdensome to cover a battery that lasts five years?

    Also, trying to get everything in motion was like, "Wow. I'm really glad I don't have anything going on right now." My car broke the day before the 4th of July weekend. Protect My Car took not just that weekend off but that Friday too. I had to wait three to four days before I got my car running again. It also took three hours' worth of hold time.

    Even the Meineke guys used them and they were saying that there is another car protection program that is a lot faster. That lady that just came in said they have their own special thing or a program. She added, "I kid you not, like we went onto the website and it was up and done. There's no hour hold time. All this other stuff." In comparison, the way that Protect My Car operates is like in the '90s.

Maintenance of a vehicle is something you can schedule and plan for financially. These services are readily available at most repair shops at a discounted rate to attract new customers. To keep the policy cost down and provided help for the unexpected breakdowns, vehicle breakdown policies do not cover the cost of maintenance and wear and tear items, like tires, batteries, light bulbs and the like. Adding these services to a policy would make the monthly cost of the policy too expensive for most people, especially for those on a budget.

    Mine is an older model car and because of the brand of the car, Protect My Car was more accepting to give me the extended warranty, opposed to some other place. It's a Mercedes-Benz. Everybody knows the maintenance is high, and I have the sports version. It’s a little higher than just the regular base model. Afterwards, that's when my issue came in, because the communication wasn't there.

    I've just had some work done and the communication has been off. My car has just been sitting because nobody reached out to me or the shop, to let us know that the work was approved for them to do the work, and to go ahead and do it. I didn't like that because it could’ve been done in a week. I could’ve then had my car back, but it has just been sitting in the shop for three weeks now. I had to go up there today and I had a call from the shop phone. But he didn't know what was going on. He just gave me what he saw in the notes. What was told to me in the beginning was that whenever some work is done, once they approve it, someone will call and reach out to me and then they will reach out to the shop to let us know that the work has been approved or it hasn't been approved and go from there. When I first dropped the car off, I haven't heard from anybody since then, so it has been about a month.

    The first time I took the car, I called, they did it, and they approved it. The work was done. I had my car back in three days. This last time, I don’t know what happened or what took place. I wasn’t happy about how it went. I'm glad I have multiple vehicles, that I could still get around, because otherwise I would’ve just been out with the car.

    Protect My Car is connected with my Credit Card company. I got a better deal with them than other warranty company so I got their coverage. Purchasing the warranty was easy. Whenever we try to redeem routine maintenance, everything is fine. There was a time though when a dealer we were dealing with didn't know what Protect My Car is.     I was listening to Sirius XM and they advertised Protect My Car on the Sean Hannity show. They caught us at just the right time. We're debating whether or not to get rid of our Durango and for $97 a month, they would cover all of our oil changes and routine maintenance, and they would cover half of anything major. So for $97 a month, we figured it was worth it in case something big breaks. The oil changes went very smooth. We took it to the Dodge dealer that we bought the vehicle from where we got all our maintenance done. Protect My Car set everything up to the Dodge dealership and we dropped the car off, and that was it.

    However, the hours were not conducive to early hours. So in order to get payment, I would have had to pay out of pocket if it didn't take as long as it did because I can't get pre-authorization. I would have had to ask for reimbursement. When they open up at 7 AM, you can't get payment because there is nobody available on the call. They don't open until 9:00. Fortunately, my car got done at 9:00, so I could get payment done. But other than that, it went smooth.

    Protect My Car called and was asking questions about me needing services with them as far as a different vehicle, which I didn't have. I told them "Yeah, I did have a vehicle that needed that services." The rep I dealt with was awesome. He didn't explain the coverage all the way to me, but he explained a lot of details. I had a claim where I took my vehicle into the shop to go get an oil change, and then they said I had an oil leak. So, I took it to a shop and there were issues there because they were concerned about how long I had the vehicle, whether I let the vehicle go down like that, and some other things, but they pretty much got it squared away and taken care of. The total process was almost three weeks. During the time that my vehicle was in the shop, I did all the follow up between the customer service with Protect My Car and the dealership because I felt like nobody was doing their job at the time. They can do better.

    I needed a warranty for my car and for things that I will need to get done. And for what my car's been paid off, Protect My Car fits the budget of what I was looking for and things that are being covered. They cover more stuff than the other people had offered to me. I feel good about the service. What I'm paying is fair because I just got my car back and I had like $2900 worth of repairs that needed to be done. I only had to pay a little over $200. So I'm very satisfied about that.

    I felt like there was a bit of a delay though because when I dropped my car off that Monday morning, there was some confusion as far as I didn't know that I was supposed to make my payment first and then the warranty make theirs. We thought it was the other way around. Then it was hard getting through to someone when trying to make their claim because I understand everything going on. He kept my car like an extra day just trying to get through. That was a hassle because I had to extend my rental two extra days until that was settled. Other than that, I feel comfortable going into the warranty. You'll never know when something's gonna happen. It was just a couple of months ago when I had it set up and then now that I need it, it's working out for me.

    I was buying a car but I knew what kind of warranty they were giving me so I went in advance and purchased the warranty from Protect My Car before I purchase the car. However, when I took the car to get it serviced, they didn't cover a whole lot of things. They only cover one thing out of four or five different things that was wrong with the car which was the air conditioning. It was blowing hot air and they fixed that problem. But they never fixed the oil leak somewhere in the car and the thing where you put the gas that doesn't open when the car is turned off. The service tried to tell me they didn't cover those. I wasn't aware of what's covered but they made it seem like if it's an electrical problem, they would cover it, from the commercials. So I figured that it's an electrical problem with the gas tank where it opens up and closes, they didn’t offer to repair that.

    The customer service and the representative were okay. It just seems like false advertising. The service tried to say that's like a serious thing that needs to get fixed. He said that they wouldn't fix the oil leak on the bottom of the car where it could end up getting serious if it won't get repaired. I'm not satisfied but I'm already in this so I'm sticking with it for now.

    I was calling a credit card company and I dialed Protect My Car's number by mistake. The person started talking and he was telling me about their service. I liked how it sounded so I went with them. I was gonna be looking for a warranty anyway because I knew my warranty was about to be up. It was kind of like an answer to a prayer that I didn't know I had. I'm like 60% confident in the policy that they will cover what I need them to cover.

    I used them for an oil change and that was pretty easy. But I tried to file a claim the other day and apparently, they don't cover brakes. When I was trying to do it at Jiffy Lube again, they had to like take off the fleet account. When you go in there, they label you as a fleet account member and they have to kinda take that off to do whatever they needed to do. When I go back again, I'll be able to put back on that. But I don't know if I can go back to Jiffy Lube since I had such a horrible experience there. It took forever and when they were finished, they didn't do the work properly. I had to go back that same day to get it properly done.

    My wife went with Protect My Car. She found a couple of them but Protect My Car had better ratings. That's mainly what I was looking at. After getting in with Protect My Car and actually experiencing car problems, that actually got taken care of, but as far as what they offered me, I'm not satisfied with it because of my first experience that I had.

    We purchased a car four years ago. It runs pretty good. I just like to have that extended warranty just in case anything was to happen. A few months in of having my service with Protect My Car, I had transmission issues all of a sudden. I ended up taking it into the shop and they took care of it, but it took them three weeks. They offered three days of car rental for me but I had to pay for it, and then they would reimburse me only up to three days, $30 a day, which is 90 bucks. I ended up having to shell out over $500 in the course of two and a half to three weeks, then I only got reimbursed $150.

    That's just the fact that I didn't like. "Oh, we supply free car rental," but that's the tricky part. They don't supply free car rental. When you have to pay for it, they just reimburse you, and it takes up 30 days for you to get it in the mail. I wasn't happy about that. I still pay them for the service, but I just don't like the fact that because my car has a high mileage, they only offered me three days of rental and expected my car to be in and out of that shop in three days when they got other cars in priorities before my car even stepped in there.

    And then, "Oh, we gotta send the adjuster out," and then the adjuster took about a week. And then when he came out, the shop told him that I wanted to be there while he did the inspection. The shop literally told me this. He said, "I normally don't deal with customers. I'm gonna call my boss," and he left. I was on my way down there after the shop called me back saying, "He didn't like the fact that you were coming, I guess, and he left." I went through this whole spiel with them and called Protect My Car and they ended up avoiding the adjuster.

    I'm a Christian and in May, I felt like the Lord was telling me to get an extended warranty on my car. So I saw an advertisement for Protect My Car. I called them and the lady I got was so wonderful. I had such a good feeling about doing business with them, and I took out the policy and the rest is history. They've just been such a blessing to me.

    I needed my car inspected and I was due for an oil change about a month after I started the program with Protect My Car. So I called them and they said I get three free oil changes. They told me how to give the number to the provider of the service and they called them and they emailed them payment, which was crazy. So the provider got paid immediately upon completion of the work.

    In July I'm not been driving much because of the pandemic. But when I did, the AC was barely cooling. So I called Protect My Car and asked about my AC and they said that it is covered and I had to take it back to the shop and have them do a diagnostic and contact them. So they did and there were a couple other things that showed up when they did the diagnostic. They fixed the AC and it was more than what they'd expected. It was not just a condenser but it was also the compressor. I paid $100 and they paid over 1,300 with the same email payment.

    When the shop contacted them about what the car was gonna need, Protect My Car called me and told me what they would cover and what they wouldn't cover and why, and what my part would be. So I didn't have to wait and find out. They called me as soon as they had made the evaluation of what they would say. They wouldn't cover the battery, which is the normal thing. But my son gets a discount, so he got me a battery at a very good price and put it on for me.

    I liked that with Protect My Car, the down payment was easier. Initially, because it was so busy, my repair shop wasn't able to get ahold of them.     I wanted to have more protection on my car. It's a 2013. When I first signed up with Protect My Car, I was told that Jiffy Lube is one of the fastest ways for them to be paid and there's less work that they have to do in order for it to happen. There was also one other place but we don't have that inside of Utah, so there's no way I could go there. I'm only able to go to Jiffy Lube. I could go to anyone, really, but I was told Jiffy Lube would be the fastest way because they have the system at their shop and they could just run it through their system and get paid automatically. But they ended up having to call Protect My Car.

    When I was getting my oil change, it was kind of a hassle. One day, I wasn't able to actually get that done because nobody was open inside Protect My Car's office because it was already too late. Their time zone is ahead of us. I had to wait until the weekend in order for me to do it. That way, we could get in the same open business hours. That was kind of a pain. Maybe they should inform people of their business hours and let them know of the time zome they're in so that people would know when to call in. Otherwise, their rep seemed like he knew his job when I called them.

    I wasn’t looking into getting a service contract but the representative started talking about it and it sounded like a good deal. Then I ended up having to use it. I was two months or so into having the coverage. My car had engine malfunction and oil leak malfunction. The claims process was pretty simple. However, the staff itself was a hassle, but that has nothing to do with Protect My Car. It just happened to be that at this time, that shop was particularly backed up so the hassle of not having my car was an issue. Protect My Car immediately covered my car. I asked if they could just give me a car and they said that they couldn't even give me that. They would have to go through a whole lot of changing. I said to forget it and that I would try something else. When I canceled, they gave me half of the money back.

    I signed up with Protect My Car and their guy was cool and really great. He explained the coverage very well and said to call him directly if I ever needed to do so. If something were to go wrong, he would take care of me. The guy who I talked to at first said, "You do get a rental car up to about five or seven days." He said it should not take that long for a vehicle to be fixed and that it'll be quicker. Protect My Car is okay with me. They said they were gonna give me an oil change and they did. They've been great so far.

    They were pretty knowledgeable and they answered all my questions at the beginning. I've submitted two claims so far. They fixed the issue in the first claim and they covered half of the expense. Then I needed an oil change, which they paid for. The only thing was that when the shop or I called them, nobody could get through to them. It was near impossible. The one time I did get somebody, it sounded like there were kids in the background. It sounded like they were answering it from home. They said that they would have somebody take care of whatever I was talking to him about but they didn't.

    Protect My Car's salespeople seemed really knowledgeable about the contract and they were willing to send me a copy of the contract before I bought it. A lot of people won't do that. They actually covered my vehicle for a mileage that nobody else would cover. Usually, after you go over 150,000 miles, nobody would cover a car or truck. But they would.

    I called them when I had a claim and they told me what to do. They were really friendly and helpful. They told me to get the shop to call in and they would get it taken care of. They told me when something was covered and gave me a heads-up that a certain part wasn't gonna be covered. They seemed knowledgeable about the contract even after the purchase. Everybody wants to be the smartest guy before the purchase. Before purchasing a warranty, one should ask do they have a deductible and what is it gonna pay? Is it gonna pay the whole repair or is it gonna pay 50%, 75%? What's the deal on that? It's pretty important. Protect My Car discloses that pretty wide open. Their contract will pay 50% of covered expenses.

    I got a BMW that didn't come with a warranty from the dealership. At the time, I didn't buy an extended warranty for it. My fiance passed away last year and I needed to have some type of plan I can depend on if something happened to the vehicle. I went with Protect My Car and recently, I got my oil changed. I thought that things were good as I was not paying for an oil change. When I spoke to the tech and told him my vehicle was shaking, he told me that issue was covered. Because I couldn't get the repair done that day, I ended up having to go back to the shop the next day. The guy told me to call him when I got back to the shop and send him an email. He said he would take care of things.

    When I went back, I found out that what I asked about is not covered and I ended up having to buy the $240 break rotors that needed to be fixed. I ended up paying $200 for labor as well. When that got fixed, my car wasn't shaking anymore. Even so, the person I spoke with was rude. He told me "the rotors ain't covered" and that we would pay such and such. Plus he told me that I would see that my issue is specifically not covered. I told him that the day before, the guy whom I spoke with told me that my brakes and my rotors were covered. But then, that guy wasn't at work.

    I told Protect My Car that I will be canceling their plan once I found out I wasn't covered. I was really pissed off because I was trying to go to my niece's graduation in Chicago and I live in Texas. I was leaving to drive the next day and I just needed that repair done. I ended up not going to my niece's graduation because the cost was just too much.

    I considered the AAA warranty and Protect My Car, and ended up with the latter. So far, my experience has been pretty good. I went to a dealership for an oil change. And even though an oil change anywhere else would’ve been maybe 130 bucks while at the dealership it was $173, Protect My Car paid it. My monthly bill is 183 and I had just paid it. With the oil change, it was just kinda getting my money right back.

    The only issue I had was when it was supposed to get paid for, Protect My Car said they had credit card issues. They had an issue with the card that they used to pay out the warranty. They said it was on Mercedes-Benz and Mercedes-Benz kinda admitted it was on them, so I can't really fault Protect My Car. But the issue was eventually fixed. Also, the couple of times that I called customer service afterwards, it was giving me a long delay in trying to reach them. But I don't know if that’s because of everything that's going on or it's just the service.

    I called Protect My Car a few weeks ago because I had a referral. I spoke to the young lady and she said she’s supposed to send me some gift card, but she said they'd send me some online type of thing and I never received it. I talked to her on a Monday, and she said to give her three days and I should have it. It is almost two weeks, and I never heard anything else back from her.

    Other than that, when I signed up, the person that I dealt with was great. He broke the coverage down and I pretty much understood everything. But now, I have to go back because one of my cars is needing to get some work, and they told me all this stuff in my contract that I thought was covered was covered. So I'd have to look into more detail on the parts and the way they broke it down. My car needed struts. I got a quote from the shop and they contacted Protect My Car. That part of parts and labor weren't covered under my contract though.

    I got a call from Protect My Car because I called to cancel the purchase. They told me they would pay $50 something. But one thing realized was when I signed up, they told me they did tire rotation but they did none of that. So, somebody’s lying. All I did was change the oil. They said that they would give me oil changes for me. The first time, they called this insurance company. It was free, but my thing wasn’t easy. “You’re saying you don’t want to tackle my car, then you’re lying. You’re telling me that I’m supposed to get a tire rotation and all this on the phone, but I’m standing out there, looking at my car, and you guys never fixed nothing else.” I won’t tell anybody to come. I’m would tell people the truth.

    I have a very old car. It’s a ’97, and I knew I would have problems with it at some point. I have never heard of anything like Protect My Car before, but it seemed to be reasonably priced. The rep explained the coverage good. I’m happy Protect My Car changed who they used for roadside assistance. The first couple of times I called roadside assistance, it was bad. The provider could never help me, could never find my contract, and they were always really rude. After I told whoever I called in customer service about it, they told me that they got a lot of complaints and they were going to switch providers. And then the next time I called, it was a different provider and they were helpful.

    I used Protect My Car twice for repairs and it worked out the way it was supposed to. They gave me a price, they gave me what I had to pay, and they took care of the rest. But every time I'd call Protect My Car, I got to give them my niece’s number ‘cause that was the phone number I used when I first signed up. I told them to change it the last time I called them ‘cause they had overcharged me when I took a month off. I just got out of the hospital and I wasn’t driving my car and they gave me a month of payment off. But when they reinstated me, they charged me 89 when it should have been 85. They corrected it and they said that on the next one, it would be the original price, which was 85 something. It took their rep that long to change the number and put my number on there. Other than that, everything else was all right.

    I wanted to save me some money. I talked to the Protect My Car rep that sold me the contract, and he told me how much I would save. I told him, “I don't get a check but once a month.” He said, “I can work out a plan with you as far as your budget goes,” and I I liked that. He worked with me on my miles ‘cause they are real high on my 15-year-old car.

    With my oil plan, I get my oil changed. When filing a claim all I did was hand my car to the person that I was dealing with. And they called Protect My Car, and they got the okay from them to do my oil change, and my serpentine belt too. My really bigger problem was with the people that I was dealing with. We have done the oil plan and I didn't have to sign anything, but when the tech Mike called me and told me that Protect My Car was gonna pay half on my serpentine belt, he told me, “You're gonna have to sign it.” First of all, he told me I would have to drive my car to see if it run like I wanted it to. Then, he told signing is the only way we are gonna pay them. When I told them that at the place there, he told me, “Protect My Car is gonna pay me.” I had to go back three times so I could sign this paper. I went back today and signed the paper for him.

    But other than that, the only thing I wanted to see from customer service, was what I was covered under and how much. Mike told me I had to pay 500% of whatever the cost was and that was a little steep. But for me, paying $67 a month was better than nothing. I know if something happens, I can always call to try to get some help.

    Protect My Car was one of the first companies I heard over the radio, and so I looked them up. They have been all right. I, however, think that there are a couple of people out there that are a little bit cheaper with the same thing. I made a claim and they said they didn’t want to do it because it was an outside transmission, and it is not from a place that they wanted to do it, but it worked out in the end and they allowed me to choose where I wanted to take my car. But, I took my car back to the people there to repair because it wasn’t 100%. They did a transmission for me, and when I got it back I had a vibration which was not there at first. So now they are rechecking it to see if it’s something got to do with the service that they did. Also, half of whatever the cost was, I had to pay. I knew I had to pay something, but I did not think it was like half -- I thought it was more like a deductible.

    I cancelled Protect My Car because I was paying for a policy that did not even cover anything. They would pay for 50% on the fees and maintenance that I got my car worked on. They said that my car got electromagnetic shocks and that they would not pay for them. I was expecting them to pay half. It was too much stress for something that I was paying a month. They wanted me to call them this, they wanted me to get the bill, get the labor, and get a quote on this -- all that to tell me that, “We not gonna pay for it.” If the shocks go, they cover shocks, but they don’t cover that type of shocks. That was crazy.

    The cars I get are newer models. What this company protects are older model cars. But even up to like 2003 or 2004 cars started being made differently. So, they need to redo the policy and cover more if they are going to be charging people that type of money. They charged me a $50 cancellation fee because I wanted to cancel, too. It’s also hard to get in contact with them. One time, I got something done on my car and the dealer that fixed my car took them almost a whole month to get paid. When the time to take my payment comes, my payment is paid. But when the time comes to fix my car, I get a whole bunch of bullcrap.

    A friend of mine had Protect My Car and told me about it. Signing up with them went real good. When I made a claim, I took my car to the shop and gave them all the information. And then, they called Protect My Car and went from there. The company that I took my car to wanted to redo the transmission but Protect My Car found a cheaper way to take it out. Protect My Car found somebody and they sent the transmission to the shop. The car was in there about a week. I had to pay half. But other than that, I was satisfied with everything.

    What kind of insurance did I get myself into? Protect My Car just sent me a card. They didn't send me all the information of what they are gonna take care of and when I took the car in to have it done, I wound up having to spend more money. I had talked to the guy on the phone and I told him I was gonna take my car to Jiffy Lube to get my oil change and to get the air filters changed. He said to have the Jiffy Lube salesperson that would work on the car to call when I get there and get verified before they do any work, and he would make sure that it is taken care of.

    I did just that but when I went back to pick my car up, the guy who had the car said he had talked to my insurance company and that they agreed to pay a certain amount. Then he said I was to pay $132 and some cents. This guy gave me a list of a lot of the stuff that he did and all of the things that he had replaced with the prices. I had to pay half of that total in order to receive my car and I paid the price. But what if I hadn't had the money to pay that kind of money?

    That process, with the person that I spoke with, was all right. He suggested that I do the same thing if I have another company I take the car to. He said to have the mechanic call and give them information on what needs to be done and how much it's gonna cost, and Protect My Car is gonna okay the parts that they're gonna take care of. That was also the last I heard from my car insurance and they just sent me a new book. But I was under the impression that they're gonna pay for the work that was done on the car. If I had known that they weren't, then I wouldn't have taken my car there at that particular time. I would have waited and taken my car someplace else. I would have taken it back to Chrysler. I figured that I could have taken it to Chrysler, got everything done and paid that amount of money.

    two weeks ago I started up a policy for both my car and my daughters. I called to cancel due to sudden financial hardships. I had a CSM on the phone with me over 37 minutes. I cannot tell you how many times I told her I just needed to cancel. She kept telling me that I should not cancel and I was making a mistake. I had to get extremely rude more then once. After over 35 minutes she put me on a brief hold and came back to tell me it is canceled and that I should see my refund in 10 to 14 days. I understand wanting to sell a policy but this was too much, almost down right harassment. If it were someone else, they would have been in tears trying to cancel.     Before this pandemic started, Protect My Car explained to me that it was a good coverage, that you could save money if something was to fail. The guy that I was speaking with was really good. But then, he left a few things out when I first got it that I wasn’t in knowledge of, but we got it taken care of. But before that, he told me everything that I have and told me everything that was correct. He acted professionally. It was just some things that he left out that I think that he didn’t intentionally do. It was just we both were moving fast.

    He moved fast, trying to get my service, and he might have left a few things out that I needed to know to get it started with them. Because when I took my car to mechanic, they said, “Hey, you gotta wait at least these many days before taking the car to…” I wasn’t aware of that. So, they did a recording and they found that he didn’t explain it to me in the telephone call. So, they called me back and said, I could go ahead and take my car to the mechanic shop because I was right, he didn’t explain it to me.

    I felt that he lied to me about one part that I had called in for. I used Protect My Car to get the car fixed, and I paid the other half. It was like he did a good job because he said it was this one thing, but then it came out to be another thing, and then I just was like, “Hey, since you really don’t know what you’re doing, just don’t put regular struts on it.” Because I got the airbag on my car. And after it kept falling on me, after the mechanic was supposed to replace the suspension airbag, then the compressor air pump came, which with the central airbag, they really didn’t get me out of that. And then, because I didn’t use Protect My Car for the compressor pump, I paid 350 extra for it. And then once the mechanic put that on there, it lit up and then it went back down all the time. So, I got with a family friend who told that I could switch them out from the airbag to the regular shock.

    I was having a difficult time with issues with the car, and then not being able to take it to a mechanic shop due to all this COVID-19 stuff, and me not working. My job was cutting people off, and then my car started to act up. I’m not too far behind. I may probably be about a payment behind, and I was like, “Can I take it to a mechanic and still use your service?” And they were like, “No. You have to be caught up to date with it.” Also, I’ve been reaching out to them due to the COVID-19 with trying to make the payments. And there was something else that they told me. I called in the other day and spoke with someone, and they did really good on handling my payment, telling me that I can pay this, and when I commit to it some more, I could pay it like this.

    Protect My Car is really a good coverage for a person because they do help save money and if you needed something done, they would be there. Even though I couldn’t use it because I had that one payment that was out there, I still see that you can call and they work with you. They wouldn’t just give up on the person that called them.

    I thought it would've been better where you had some kind of card that you can show the people and then they get the claim number off that. I thought Protect My Car would give me a card, I could show it to the shop, and then the people will contact Protect My Car, but it didn't work that way. I had to get out and try to run this place, run that place, and try to find out. It just made me more upset because it wasn’t like they told me. And then all the places that they brought me to don’t even exist anymore. They all went out of business. So, I didn't find that it was just a good kind to use. One of them where they sent me to, the man told me he doesn’t do transmission. And all three places they sent me to didn't know anything about their service. So, I wound up going out by the mile out there and I had to ask the man to call Protect My Car so he could get the claim number, and it just was really a mess.

    I heard of Protect My Car from a cousin. I only had one bad experience when I was purchasing the warranty. Other than that, it went great. I love it. I took my car for an oil change and then the shop called Protect My Car. When I went to pick the car up, it was already paid for. My claim went pretty well. One time, Protect My Car had an outage and my car was sitting at the place for hours. It was just a regular oil change I was getting, but we couldn’t get through the line. So, my car sat there at the oil place FOR six or seven hours because it wasn’t paid for. I ended up having to pay for it, and then I called. Protect My Car perhaps had an outage so they just refunded the money.

    Protect My Car's advertisement popped up on the TV screen. They were the first ones that I called when it popped up and they took care of everything on the spot. Their reps were professional and they sent me an email that same day with some information on it. Everything went well. I received everything in the mail which gave me the company's website.

    When I got an oil change, I called and a guy just told me to go. But when I went to the dealer, they say that I should have called in advance, and I told them I did. But the clarity wasn’t there that I should have called to say I was going on a particular date. After that first trip with the oil change, I called in advance when I was gonna have to get some repairs done. From that point on, everything was fine. It was just unclear the very first time.

    When I opened a claim, I went to the dealership and they called Protect My Car. They paid a certain percentage. I'm satisfied. Something is better than nothing.     Protect My Car had a lower rate and I liked what they offered. The rep I dealt with was very respectful and helped me out in some way. He gave me the rundown of what I needed, what I didn’t need, what I could pay, and how much I could pay within my age frame, which is 65 years and older. Then he gave me some other things and told me about the rental assistance I’d have. So, I was kinda pleased.

    Then, when I had something done with the wiring under my car as well as some wheels alignment, they were done right and Protect My Car paid for the services. They were very good and I came out half a deductible, which was cool. But they couldn't help with the brake issue and said that it was a wear and tear. Still, I couldn't complain because they did everything else that needed to get done. All in all, Protect My car keeps me going. By me being a lady, I’d rather just pay to have my stuff done at not so much and the warranty is a reasonable pay every month for me. I know I’ve been slacking a little, but I try to catch up on my car. My grandfather told me that I have to treat my car like it's my baby and it’s a 2013, so I gotta keep it up. And if I wanna keep rolling, I gotta pay that bill.

    There was one or two extended warranties available for my car but Protect My Car was best for the mileage that was on it. They were helpful. They assisted with getting the information over the auto shop where I took my car to have a repair done about two months ago. My car was overheating and the check engine light came on, too. They replaced the radiator and there was something else with the engine as well. We had to wait to see about that, the tech was telling me.     When the person called to sign me up, everything kinda clicked into it. I went through CarShield years ago and they were okay but I had dropped them a long time ago with my other car that I had. So, I decided to look around and Protect My Car that was the first one that kinda caught my eye. Their rates are okay and I just keep paying them every month. I've only gotten an oil change through them. I called them and got it in. They gave me some kind of ID number and when I went the following day to the place where they authorized the free oil change, the guy had to call and verify it and speak to someone. Then, they were closed. So, I had to reschedule it for the next day.

    It took almost all day for them to get approved because the first lady the mechanic had spoken to said I was not covered yet. I said that I was and that I spoke to the guy and he said I would be covered. But then, we got disconnected on an accident. When I called back, I got a gentleman and two seconds later, I was in the motion of getting my oil changed. I went through a little bit of a hassle but it worked out because I didn't stop calling and I didn't stop telling them that I know that I was approved for this oil change because they told me I was. Certain things are not covered for it. So, I needed air filter, I need to get my brakes done and I also need some tires, but apparently, those are maintenance problems that I have to just come out of pocket and do.

    I now understand that they're closed on Sundays and so, I'll never make an appointment on a Saturday to go in somewhere on a Sunday. They need to put that into their package statement. If you make a claim on a Friday, you have to make sure that you have it compromised that following week because they're not open. I didn't know that and I didn't register that. I figured that they were closed but at least somebody would be answering the phone verifying your account but no, they're not.

    I wanted to keep the car updated and so I got Protect My Car. Their reps answer phones saying that is Protect My Car and the calls are all recorded. Then if it’s not the right department, they send you to the right one where you need to speak with someone. You just call them and they give a quote on the kind of vehicle you have. The different make/models of the cars get different policies. I have a pickup truck so I get 75% of the price knocked down instead of 50. They let me know how much it’d be a month. But I have to put down before the service can start. Submitting a claim is pretty simple. I just call Protect My Car and let them know that either the car is in the shop or it’s about to be in the shop. They’ll say the shop has to call them and let them know that the car is there. If the car is getting work done and it’s over three to four hours, they will provide rental and all I have to pay is about 50 bucks. Overall, I’m satisfied.

    I’ve always had a service contract and I’ve had it for a while since Protect My Car started it. In other companies, you have to go through loops and holes to get your car repaired but not with Protect My Car. I even had companies where I had the car done for a year and then a problem happened, and they told me that they couldn’t repair it because it was already going bad, which didn't make any sense. The rep told me everything I needed to know and it was good service. Any time something's wrong with my car, which is not usually all the time, I can bring my car, drop it, and they call Protect My Car and it's fixed. I pay my portion and it's done. They do give you rentals but I usually take my car to the dealer who gives me a loaner, so I don't need to go through them.

    I have a 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe. I purchased extended warranty but for some reason, I was paying all this extra money for my car but they wouldn't honor it. My mother has Protect My Car and has told me about them. When I first signed up over a year ago, the lady was rude. I wanted to get a full understanding of the coverage and she was getting an attitude with me. It was because she didn't really know, and I was asking her questions that people probably weren’t normally asking her. But the second time, a guy called back when I re-signed back up and he was excellent. He wrote everything down for me and he even got the coverage for a lower rate.

    Now, my car is in the shop and they deal with Protect My Car, so they do everything. They said that the auto mechanic people had to have my car for four hours for me to be able to get a rental car, but I took my car twice on a Friday and they had it the whole weekend all the way up until Tuesday. So both times, I had to pay almost $300 just to get a rental car ‘cause I had to get back and forth to work on the weekend and Protect My Car didn't cover it. That was not fair because whether if they were working on the car or not, they still had my car over four hours.

    The phone number of Protect My Car was listed on an insurance packet that I received through work. And I usually don’t take calls from extended warranty people, but I decided to give it a call for some reason ‘cause I had looked into it just a little bit online. And my car is an older vehicle and I realized I need an extended warranty on it. I called and talked to the customer service representative that was really helpful and knowledgeable, and he got me to sign up for it.

    Just recently, I had to have my alternator replaced and it went smoothly. The mechanic now has Protect My Car’s phone number. So, it was really easy. They just had to call and that my mechanic just let them know what was wrong with my car, whether or not it’s approved with the coverage. And they’ve been good since I’ve had it.     Protect My Car has commercials on the radio which keep playing over and over in my head. Then one day, my car was getting up there in mileage and I thought I should sign up for it just in case. I'd rather have it now than wait till something happens to my car. Then I was always questioning if I was ever going to actually use it and if the $84 that I pay a month was worth it.     I needed a warranty and I talked to Protect My Car, and the warranty sounded okay. It covered a lot of stuff, and it wasn't too expensive. I did one claim so far. It was pretty decent. They didn't cover anything on it because the part wasn't covered under warranty. But when I renewed my policy, they gave me free oil changes, which was cool because I drive a BMW. Everything went fine and between the dealership and them, there were no issues.

    Communication was good, too. When I had a question on why they didn't cover that part, they explained that it was a part that just wasn't covered under warranty. So, it was pretty good. They give points every month for paying your bill and they give you information on how to access it, but I can never figure out how to use the points. If that was a little bit more self-explanatory or more user-friendly, that would work a little better. But other than that, I haven't had any complaints about them.

    You have to go to some shop, they put the estimate, then they approve it. Then the guy calls me, comes down and fixes it. Sometimes he leaves the car over there to fix it.     One of the sales reps contacted me a couple of years back and sold me on it so I decided to give it a go and see how it would work out. It was rough at first but then there had been improvements all the way around. For instance, some of the regulations and how it had been handled was a bit awkward and it didn't seem like they had a real good system.

    When I first got my policy, I had a Tundra and something had gone wrong with it. On my policy, I pay half and the company pays half. Then they called the store and they started wanting discounts after I already paid for my half and I didn't feel like that was right. If there should have been discounts, they should have been brought up to me before I had put my money down. It shouldn't seem like they were whistling and going behind my back to not pay their half. But that hasn't happened since and I heard that policies were changed.

    A while back, I called them and one gentleman was very professional and it took about 30 seconds to get everything handled. We had a disconnection and then I called back. I got a different gentleman and it took almost 20 minutes just for him to be ready to call the shop and handle the claim. Maybe the second gentleman was a newer employee but it was ridiculous. They could have a little bit more training as far as when the claims come in.

    From the get-go, I understood that for whatever needs to be fixed, Protect My Car will only cover 50%. But there are way too many loopholes and things that they’re not covering when it comes to the overall service. I thought it was the top-of-the-line coverage plan. But it still doesn’t work out. So it doesn’t make sense for me to pay what I’m paying each month and still not be able to get the assistance that I need. If my total job is almost $3,000 and they’re only gonna cover $500, it makes no sense when I’m doing a monthly payment of at least $150 each month. The only good thing about it is that they cover for the oil change and the oil change for my vehicle can be expensive. Still, I would tell others to get warranties from the dealer when you first purchase a car or when your warranty is about to run out. I have another vehicle with another warranty and it comes pretty much 100%, with no deductible. Allied has been a much better service for me overall.

    I have Protect my Car for my Lexus. I used it one time when I had an oil change. The process was okay. It could have been a little simpler though because I found out that Protect my Car still looks for credit cards. When the oil change was complete, the company sent me an invoice in the same way that they had to call and get the credit cards completed. I felt that Protect my Car could have just paid the invoice, but I still had to call them and do all of that. But, it wasn’t bad. I just felt that that part could have been a little better.

    Everything is going fine with Protect My Car. I called them and made sure it was the same policy I had before on the other vehicle. But I couldn’t have the same one. So, they knew exactly and they looked at my old policy to see what I had, and then that was what they gave me. My interaction with their consultant was fine. The coverage I'm receiving is right in my budget. Then when I called them to do the claim, I asked them for me to take the car in and they told me to go ahead and take the car in. When I called for a roadside, they could never find my policy number. If I don't have the policy number right offhand, I have to call back and stuff like that. Then when I called them back, they said that they were separate from them. Protect My Car should have something where if you call and they ask for the phone number, everything pops up.

    I heard about Protect My Car about three years ago through a commercial. And I had been using them ever since. My purchasing experience went pretty well. The customer service person was very knowledgeable. They walked me through different aspects of giving the information needed, to see which coverage I would be able to be covered for. So, that process was a matter of 10 minutes, tops, and it went very smoothly. Any questions that I had on the coverage, they were able to answer. They did a pretty good job.

    I’ve had a couple of claims. I just had one recently where they negotiated prices for something that’s for a dealership price. It was a little higher than I thought it was going to be, but with their negotiations, it brought the price down a lot better than what I would have not been able to do on my own. It was for my Infiniti truck. And it was a tie rod issue that they had that was covered in the Executive coverage that I have. The whole process was really quick and appreciative.

    Protect My Car is doing an excellent job. I really like them. It’s a little relieving not having to worry. I know that if something comes up, I can look at my policy, see if it’s something that’s covered, then I could get it to the dealership and use that. I know we’ll get the problem taken care of.     My experience with Protect My Car has been good. The coverage could've been a little bit better though. I needed some exhaust work and I thought that they used to do it. If I'm paying for a warranty or something that's gonna cover my car repairs, everything should be included, except for wear-and-tear like brakes and regular stuff. Also, they changed the claim process from before, which I liked. Before, they make you print out the paper, sign it and you send it back. But now, I just tick on the money and send it to whoever it goes to. Other than that, it was cool and I did like my last service.

    When I buy my cars, I usually get the extended warranty but I noticed with this car that I got, I didn’t have one, which was why I got an outside warranty on my own. Protect My Car was a little cheaper than everybody else but I wasn’t pleased with the first price they gave me. They told me I could cancel within 30 days but when I was reading through everything, it seemed like the other one that I had. I called Protect My Car and I was cancelling but the guy kept trying to talk me out of it. He put a manager on the phone. He gave me four oil changes for free and something else. I was skeptical with the rep and I said I had to read through everything because they might say one thing, but that thing would turn out to be a little different, which was what I didn’t like. So, as soon as I end up having a problem or they’re not honoring something, I’m dropping it.

    With the last warranty that I had, it wasn’t that they didn’t honor anything for me. My father-in-law's Mercedes had a check engine light that popped on and when he took it to Mercedes and tried to get it fixed, the extended warranty was saying that it was a wire within the engine, which was not covered, when we were told that everything dealing with the transmission was covered. My father-in-law didn’t sign up for any extended warranty at all and he was a little bit upset. I didn’t tell him I signed up for this one. So, I hope that I don’t have these types of issue because these extended warranties don’t tend to be truthful most of the time.

    I told the reps at Protect My Car what my father-in-law experienced with the other extended warranty and I asked them if it would be covered if anything should go wrong within the transmission or engine such as a wire and it’s within one of those. I told them that it’s very important for me to know, and I was told yes. Still, I kinda felt like I didn’t need the extended warranty because I have a pretty good mechanic that works for Mercedes that does mine for the little things that go wrong and I don’t even pay Mercedes prices.

    I was trying to find a different insurance and I came across Protect My Car. The rep told me all about it and tried to make a sale but I didn't buy it right there and then. I came and I thought about it. I got the number, called back and got it. My car is a 2005 older model. I read the contract and I realized that a service contract was something that my car needed in case I bring it to the mechanic or anywhere. The oil change is covered so I would not have to pay for that and if I bring it to the mechanic, I would only pay 50%. You just call and make payments over the phone. Then, it's good to go. There's not much hassle to it so, I kinda like it. It's easy and convenient, which was why I purchased it. The claim experience has been good so far. They haven't given a pushback. I brought it to the mechanic and they did what they had to do.

    I recently got Protect My Car, and I have used it because I got a free oil change. But I’m trying to get the payment in and I told them they can take it out on the 3rd because I forgot to leave money in the bank for them to get it. The person I worked with was wonderful. He was very knowledgeable to talk to and he was really nice. He worked out a good deal for me. I went on and chose Protect My Car because he wouldn’t let me let it go. He made me feel really comfortable with the policy.

    We set a date for them to call me the first time because I wanted to make sure I had the money to get it started. So, we set a date for them to get the payment out and we did another phone call to set it up. Everything worked out fine. I’m still getting calls for warranty, but I’m telling them I already got a warranty now. I like the way my warranty is. Everything’s good in my budget.     What I don’t like about having Protect My Car is that I gotta pay half of the bill. I had a claim for a window and the company paid half and we paid half. But I got another company on my truck and all I did was pay a $100 deductible and they paid for everything.

    I've heard from several people that I know about CarShield and Protect My Car. I was trying to find a deal with one of those organizations who pay for 100% of the repairs, but I have no problem with paying half of the fee for the fixing my car. That’s one of the reasons why I chose Protect My Car. When I submitted a claim, I went to an auto center and found out that I have to call Protect My Car before I have anyone do any work to the car, and that process was smooth. The repair was done in 2 days and I didn’t have a whole lot of problems with getting the confirmation from Protect My Car or with getting my car repaired.     I thought it was good idea to get protected and I had heard Protect My Car was a pretty good people to be with. When I purchased the coverage, they were very nice and they let me know what was happening. The only thing I had to contact them about was how to get my money in a month. They take it out of my credit card. It was a call of three or four minutes. When I had the free oil change that they gave me, the claim went through real good. I didn’t have any problem at all.     One of my friends told me about Protect My Car. I already had my other two cars on another plan but I wanted to try. I switched my Porsche over to Protect My Car's service to see how they'd work if anything happened to it and so that I didn’t have to pay for this or that. It wasn’t a very good thing. I told them to give me the best plan they could give me because I have a Porsche. They told me everything would be 100% covered, but it wasn’t.

    When my high-pressure fuel pump ended up going out, they said that I was gonna have to cover all of the screws, which was $800. After I covered that, something went wrong again about a month ago. The radiator was messed up and leaking. I tried to see where it was coming from. The car has one of those plates and I couldn’t screw it out. So I took a screwdriver, went under the car, and made a hole where I see the leaking from. Protect My Car said that the car mesh was torn and it looked like it hit something. I had to come out $800 to get that fixed. Then, I also had to pay for the radiator. It was around 500, but they covered half and took it to around 200. They couldn't do any of the labor though.

    I came back to Protect My Car when they offered to take off some things but they have poor customer service. I used them one time and they took the dealership to hell. They held my car. It was at Christmastime and they wouldn’t give me a rental. I can’t walk. I have difficulty and I just felt that was rude. The dealership told me they were making the price so unbearable that they couldn’t take what they were trying to make them take the price for it. They wanted to go astronomically less, almost free. The manager of the dealership wanted to call me back. It wasn’t their fault, they just can’t take the price that Protect My Car was offering to pay. The people I talked to were so rude, like they were tired of me calling. They put me on excessive holds. The management wouldn’t even do anything. They kept passing me on. It took four days to get my car fixed for one part.

    I had my vehicle since 2016 and my warranty had run out. And I heard about Protect My Car through my cousin and I decided to join it. And I like it. Their rep was pretty cool. They explained everything and worked it up for the most part. Everything went fine 'cause it was a time when I was trying to call my 401K through my job, and I ended up calling the wrong number, and I ran into one of Protect My Car specialist. And before I could even get off the phone, the guy talked me into getting it even though I had it on my mind to join, but I kept procrastinating. So, I was happy that I dialed the wrong number and that was when I started at that time.

    What really had me fully understand the coverage is the email. I always go back to it to see what's covered, just in case something goes wrong.     When I had a problem with my vehicle, I called Protect My Car and they said I have to get it to my mechanic. So I went to my mechanic. After going through the whole thing, I told them I have the insurance with Protect My Car so my mechanic called them. They really spoke with each other and paid that one part. Then I had my own little part that was not covered so I paid it. My car was actually with the shop for over two months. But it had nothing to do with Protect My Car.     I didn’t have anything from the dealership, so I wanted to get something just in case anything will go wrong.     I needed a warranty for my car. Protect My Car called my phone and I was like, "Sure." I had used them once and everything was cool. However, it was hard to get it going because there's not much information on how to start a claim if you go to the website. It's not like something you can do on the website. You have to call an agent and tell them that you're doing a claim. But once I got it going, it was really good. I was satisfied with the outcome.
