I love Protect My Car. The rep explained everything of why it was important for me to have a warranty on my car especially the mileage it was in. I wasn't over the 50,000 yet but I was close to it. She also explained the services they provide and a lot of savings I will be benefiting from if anything does happen with the car. I've used Protect My Car for the regular oil change and tire rotation and it's been easy. All I usually do is call and let them know I'm going in for the day, what type of things I am getting done and what shop I am going into. After that, everything is handled. They tell me, “When the shop is done, let them call us and we'll make payment." So far, they get an A+ from me.

Thanks again for your comments.

When I talked to the guy from Protect My Car, the warranty seemed pretty good. I got it and I've used it for oil changes. It's very easy. I go right to the dealer, they call up, and Protect My Car pays. They are good. I'll keep it as long as I need it.

Did not wanted to cover my transmission when I had told them I got my vehicle from my dad that passed away. And didn't have service documents. They are careless and don't even respect dead. This is the reason I took extended warranty but they really suck. So inhumane.

Your frustrations are understood, however, the passing of your father has no bearing on the denial of your claim. Every vehicle has maintenance requirements provided by the manufacturer. According to YOUR vehicle manufacturer, YOUR vehicle requires a transmission service at 150,000 miles. When asked for verification of the required transmission maintenance, you were not able to provide any documentation, therefore, your claim is not able to be covered. Also, looking further into your claims history, we have assisted you previously, for 3 repairs AND an oil change, so we are not careless or disrespectful. The purpose of the policy is to pay for covered component failure, not items that must be replaced at regular intervals as they wear out. These are maintenance items. That means that they must be maintained and replaced at regular intervals. The policy rules require regular maintenance and these rules apply to all customers, so if you would like to provide the needed maintenance records, we will be more than happy to re-evaluate your claim.

Protect My Car got some good reviews and they offered me a nice little discount. However, they could do at least some kind of confirmation that they did receive the submission even if it's auto-generated to keep the clients updated on where their claim is in the process. That's what we don't get. I have to follow up and find out. I was looking for my reimbursement 'cause they reimburse us on repairs. I got my first one I've done back for the tire rotation but this next one is going a little over a month now since I submitted it and I haven't heard back anything. I was getting ready to contact them to follow up on that but so far, I haven't had any issues.

Thank you for your review and for choosing Protect My Car to help you protect your car and your budget. Having an auto-generated reply for the reimbursement process is a great idea, and your suggestion is currently being reviewed. So thank you once again for your review. Please let us know if you have any questions or if there is anything else we can do for you.

I took my car down shortly after I had switched from CarShield to Protect My Car. I had my oil change and I didn't know Protect My Car paid for tire rotations. The lady’s place where we took it said they were very familiar with Protect My Car and that she processes claims all the time. I told her the number, she called it in and they took care of it right then. I'm very well satisfied with Protect My Car. They cover just about everything on the vehicle other than brakes, windshield wipers and headlights. That was another breaker for me. With CarShield, they didn’t cover the computer in my car. I know how expensive those things are. What good is a coverage if they're not going to take care of that stuff?
I haven't had any trouble out of my car and hopefully, I won't. But it is a 2014 so sooner or later, something's gonna happen to it. I like the confidence of knowing that I can call. Plus, Protect My Car has roadside assistance. I like knowing that I can get a rental car and someone to come help me in the middle of the night. I work second shift so if my car breaks down, I'm most likely out in the middle of nowhere in a dark road. The only thing is instead of a $200 deductible, they could go back down to a $100 deductible. That would be great.

The reps were nice. They helped me a lot and explained stuff to me. I appreciated that because I don't know too much about cars. They were telling me that if anything happened, I could get a rental car and if I had a flat tire, they would come to me. I'm very pleased with what they signed me up for.

Thank you very much for those comments. We really appreciate them. We do work hard to make sure that with one phone call you can get towed in, activate rental car benefits and get fast, efficient claims service, all with low monthly premiums tailored to fit your budget. That’s what we call good peace of mind. We are very happy that our company, staff and coverage has given you that. Best of all, we will be here to assist you when you next need help with your vehicle. Thanks again for your comments.

I like Protect My Car because a lot of car warranty places don't give you free oil change three times a year. The price was another reason we went with them plus the $400 gift card. We did Protect My Car back in December and the sales rep was nice. The only thing he hasn't done is what he said about the gift card. We haven't received it. Also, I know I could get so many points for being with Protect My Car. I thought I could use those points to buy things but they were asking me for my debit card.

Protect My Car has been awesome. Every time that I've needed them, they've been there and I've had no problems at all. When my car wouldn't start, all I did was call and they asked me for my card so I gave it to them. Then my car was jumped and it was fine. It was quick. The first time that I got Protect My Car was when I was in Kentucky, seeing my parents. What happened was I killed the battery and I left the keys in the car. So I called them and there was a place in Marion that came. It was 25 minutes. But they came in and they had my key out in a minute. It was really great. I like the fact that I can call somebody and I get taken care of pretty much quickly ‘cause things usually happen. Sometimes it takes forever and a day to get stuff but they've been really wonderful.

Thank you for your wonderful comments and rating. It really does make a difference when you know you have a reputable and caring company take care of those issues quickly and without red tape. That is always our goal.
Thank you for choosing Protect My Car. We will always have your back.

I didn't have the best experience with Protect My Car. When I called, I was told that whatever repair, it will be taken care of. But that wasn't the case. The services I could have gotten was in a very small window. It was one other service that my car needed to get done. I thought whatever my car needed, it would be taken care of. It wasn't a crazy expense. It wasn't something like $500 or $700. It was something that was under $100 to get done to my car. Then it was a lot of back and forth. The dealership said, “We were on hold for a long period of time.” It was too much. It would have been nice to know everything up front. It surely would have been nice if we had called and didn't have to wait that long period of time.

Thank you for your comments. We deeply regret that long delay in getting the issue taken care of for you. It was entirely our fault (an agent made an entry error on the computer that created the problem). Human error can sometimes cause problems, but it is acknowledging that and getting it corrected that our customers are concerned with and entitled to.
Thank you again for your comments. We will do everything we can to make sure your next claim is hassle free.

Protect My Car contacted me and I was looking into something like that. I bought my car previously leased and when it hit 35,000 miles, it was just over its five years. The water pump and thermostat went. All billed together, that cost me $1,000. Shortly after that, my valve cover gasket went. That was another 500 and my car is going back in this week for the seventh time for that same valve cover gasket. That’s constantly leaking. That's under warranty from before though, so it's not Protect My Car's responsibility. I'm still paying on the car and I'm having to put all this money into it. I got the insurance because I could see there's an issue, which is why I’ll never buy another Chevy in my life. I also had a 2000 S10 pickup, and the transmission went by 25,000 miles.
This is the second Chevy I had that was relatively new. Multiple problems. This time, the car was in the shop for less than a day and the shop took care of it all. The shop dealt with Protect My Car and I had to pay more than the deductible. One thing happened that caused something else and they only paid for one of them. They only covered 100 out of 500, and I can’t say I was happy with that. If one thing caused something else, shouldn’t they cover it?

Thanks again for your comments.

The person that I spoke with from Protect My Car explained everything to me and it sounded like a good thing, so I got their coverage. The package was wonderful and was perfectly good for me. It was something that I could surely deal with the payment and handle for myself. Plus, the free oil change was great. I didn't really think that it was the truth until I actually got it done. Most of the time, these companies fool you with their coverage. So when I asked Protect My Car about the oil change and they did that, it was amazing to me.
When I bought the car, I paid $3,000 for the extra warranty from a different company that didn't cover a thing. I was so pissed. At that time that I had the money, I wished I knew about Protect My Car. I could have paid them the full amount and I could have had coverage and have gone inside the dealership without any problems. Also, I was telling my ex-husband about Protect My Car and he said he needed to get that but he already got coverage. He did like I did and got that extra coverage that really didn't cover anything.
My with Protect My Car experience has been wonderful. I tell people about how easy it is with them. It has helped me by telling me if I have missed a payment. Because sometimes, people don't do that and you don't even know it. I can do without a lot of things, but I won’t do without Protect My Car. So, when they call me and I move something back, and then I take care of that.

My experience went horrible. Pep Boys did not do a good job on my car at all. And I'm sending my car back to them tomorrow morning. They told me to bring it back in. I think I got finessed. They put all my old parts back on. I don't think they started working on my car. False advertising a bit with Protect My Car saying it would do the diagnostics.
The claim was put in for all my diagnostics. Base of which is getting the car checked. Pep Boys said they diagnosed it. They said I need the arm controls. Apparently, they did not do a good job. I don’t think they even put new arm controls on there. My car has been sitting in their shop for over a week with no work getting done to it. The guy claimed he started on my car and he went to Midlow because they needed him over there. It was emergency. So, he stopped working on my vehicle and went to work on somebody else’s vehicle. There ain‘t no telling how long he stopped working on mine because they haven't been contacting me. It has been sending me on a runaround.
And when I finally got the car back, my ticket froze up in the computer system. So somehow, he told me he had to call one of his managers, put it on freeze so they can do it over. It was a bunch of mess. And I was very unsatisfied with the business because I have been out of a car for a whole week and I had to pay for a rental. And then it burned my pocket up, but Protect My Car said it would replace some of it, $30 a day. I'm just trying to figure out how can I get my money back from the rental car. It’s the worst. I got ripped off of a lot of money. I had to come out of my pockets and it doesn't make sense.

Thank you for your comments. We need to look into this right away. While Protect my Car pays claims when a customer chooses to use any particular licensed shop (like pep Boys) we are not affiliated with that company. Any problems a shop causes our customer is an affront to our company as well.
We want you to know that we work for you, not Pep Boys or any shop). we will check out this shop and be in contact with Pep Boys corporate. First, we will have an agent contact you directly to go over this information before moving forward.

I was gonna take the car to where I bought it. They said they didn't accept Protect My Car's insurance. The gentleman I talked to at their office said, "Take it to Midas because you have some type." I'm sorry for being so messed up. Protect My Car had a contract or something with Midas that they would take me and not refuse. So, I went down there and got oil change. The guy took it in the back, very nice people. He came back out and said, "Your rotors on the back tires are not with this." Well, I said, "Just see what it is. Tell me how much it is. We'll call the insurance people, here's their number and we'll go from there."
I sat down there. It was about an hour and a half. He was back and forth on the phone with Protect My Car trying to get it straight. Finally, he got finished with my car. He said that the back brakes, the calipers and I don't know what all. He just said, “This is wrong and that's wrong. And that's what we had to fix.” But I don't know anything about cars except how to put gas in them and drive it. He took the wheels off the car. I could see it through window. And he came out and said, "This is shot, and that's shot." "Okay, well, here's their number. Call Protect My Car." I sent pictures of the papers that he gave me, and charged me 500 and some dollars before I could go home. I was aggravated because I said, "I was only supposed to pay $100. I came here for an oil change and a grease job and all that. And here you're sending me out with an almost $600 bill." I paid it with my credit card and I just said, "I can't deal with this now."
I called Protect My Car and I talked to two different people. The last one, his name was Benjie. He said, "Just send me a copy of the papers and we'll go from there." Protect My Car did good on what Midas said they put a claim in for. But I wasn't happy for the amount. Everybody down at Midas couldn't have been any nicer but nice doesn't work with me when it's money involved.

My husband has had them for four years and they've been good with him. It's also what I can afford on my car. What I had before had gotten too high a month, as far as the payments. So far, I had a breakdown, which Protect My Car covered, but I wasn't happy because I had to pay out-of-pocket for this other caliper that was going bad. The mechanic said that the other caliper wasn't out yet, but it would be in a month's time. Protect My Car approved one caliper but they wouldn't cover the other one until it went all the way bad. I was disappointed because they wouldn't even consider taking care of the other caliper for my safety. They could have done a little bit better than what they did to me.

My interaction with Protect My Car's rep went good, although there was some miscommunication. I let the rep know that I only put fully synthetic. I know that sometimes they don't cover that. They only go for whatever the cheaper oil is. She said that they would cover whatever it is I put in my car. But that wasn't the case. When I went to get my oil done, they did not cover the fully synthetic. I had to pay the difference. Other than that, the value seemed to fit my budget.

I was calling for something regarding my veteran's benefits and somehow, my call got routed to Protect My Car. The rep wanted to know if I was interested and he gave me a rundown on everything. I told him about my car and he broke down the cost that I might incur if something would happen. He gave me a discount when I signed up and the process was quick and easy. Then I just put my debit card on file and the payment is an automatic draft. Even though I wasn't looking for car protection that day, I'm glad that I did get it.
My wife's car is a 2012 Mercedes CLS 550. I took it to the dealership for an oil change and they thought that there was no way that Protect My Car could cover it. I told them that it was part of our warranty and the rep at the dealership said that she was gonna go through with it but she never heard of any warranty that covered it. I originally called Protect My Car and told them that my heat wasn't working. They said it could be a heat coil, and to bring it into the dealer to get it done. When the dealer took a closer look at it, they said that there had been anti-freeze leaking back into my engine into where my spark plugs were. Protect My Car said to send over all the paperwork so they could get it approved.
When I sent those, the representative told me that I wasn't being honest. There was one oil change receipt from a local mom-and-pop shop that didn't look like a receipt to her. It was handwritten, and because of that, it took them an extra week and a half to approve my claim in order to get my car started, which then caused the engine that was coming all the way from Michigan from the Ford factory to be delayed. It left me without my car for almost a month. To add insult to injury, they only covered me for $150 for a rental car so I was stuck with a $2,000 rental car bill. Nobody could help and do anything to minimize that. Had Protect My Car done what they were supposed to do on the same day that I gave them every document that they asked for, I would have had my car a lot sooner than December 23th, that rental car bill would have been a lot cheaper, and I'd probably be a happier customer.
I was very unhappy with the way that the staff, mainly the higher-up, handled the situation and lack thereof. The representative that was in charge would tell the people at the dealer that she was trying to get ahold of me and was calling me. She never did. I was trying to call her. I would have to go through my actual car dealership. I even went as far as going over to the mom-and-pop shop to speak to the guy there and explain what was going on.
I felt that Protect My Car, being that the work was going to cost about 5,000, could have done a little bit more to help me out, especially knowing that they dragged their feet and it was their fault because I wasn't approved. I couldn't even pay my monthly payment for January and they've been calling me like crazy telling me that my payment hasn't gone through. I know it hasn't gone through because I'm still paying off the rental car bill. The other people that worked with me, as far as the customer care reps, were great and very helpful.

We certainly hope your next claim will go a lot smoother.

Everything went okay with my purchasing experience with Protect My Car, but I'm not truly satisfied with that Protect My Car. They don’t cover anything about the main components and that’s not what I needed. I have a 2017 BMW. It barely has 33,000 miles on it. My understanding was that they were covering more than what they cover. When I went to take it into BMW, they only covered oil change. So I don't think I'm going to stick with those guys.

Thank you for your comments. We are sorry to hear that you may not continue your coverage. Please take a moment to review the complete listed of covered components that is included in your coverage booklet. Protect My Car had a good salesman. I figured it was worthwhile to go for. Also, its attachment to Wells Fargo gave it some validity. It took too long to get it ready for me because they were having problems with deliveries. It was a 12-hour project and it turned out to be two weeks and a half. Being my only truck, that put a big damage on my end. I had to rent a truck for that period.
I also had to pay more for the fix and it wasn't cheap. It was 1,400. Then I still had to pay the coverage that’s why I was disappointed at the beginning because I assumed that the truck was going to be completely protected. But when I read the envelope that I got sent, it showed me the coverages that I had. It was pretty much just engine and transmission. I take care of my engine and transmission and I don't force my truck. My previous truck had close to 400,000 miles on it and was still in good shape. I feel like I was left alone to find out the hard way. Protect My Car could improve on explaining what's covered on the truck and not finding it myself after I got the coverage.

I had a very good conversation with the rep at Protect My Car. He was very polite and told me about the plans. He walked me through it and how it works as much as possible. I asked questions and he answered them. I was satisfied with the answers and I decided to sign up right away. I bought a used car so I knew that I would probably run into some issues. When you buy used cars, you don’t know how the other people took care of the car. I had a couple of issues. Some were covered and some were not. I had to pay out of pocket. But I knew that going in that not everything is going to be covered 100%. I had to use the warranty twice. Hopefully, I don't have to use it again for a while. But I’m definitely satisfied with having the warranty so far.
Protect My Car is definitely something to look into. I have brought this up in conversation with other people. They have newer cars so they probably won't need it right away. But I told them, “In a couple years, your warranty is not gonna cover everything. You might start looking into some of the things. I’ve obviously looked at other programs and I was satisfied with this one.” I have recommended Protect My Car to a couple of people and I would do it again.

I'm very dissatisfied with Protect My Car. I paid my money. I drove the 1,000 miles that was requested of me with my car, which I didn't want to do anyway. Everybody thinks you're supposed to read the full pamphlet on everything that's totally covered. When it says AC unit, you would think the actuators would be part of it. When I put my car in the shop to get it checked to see what was wrong with it, it turned out the actuators needed to be replaced. They gave me a rental car in the process while the shop kept my car, which started on Monday. I found out on Wednesday, when they called Protect My Car, they do not cover that portion of the AC unit, which is strange. Something that's stuck up under the dash where you got to pull all that apart, something that's not an easy mechanical fix is not covered under that. It made me mad.
I’m upset with Protect My Car and I told them that. Why do I pay for extended warranty coverage for something that's not going to cover anything? I gotta blow the motor. I gotta not put oil in it and I'm gonna be wrong for not putting oil and say it blew the motor because that's a personal effect. They can’t cover that because I didn't make sure it had oil in it. I understand how things go, but they won't even assist to pay for the rental car. I had to pay $317 to go get my car out. That's the rental cost plus the diagnostic test. It was terrible and I'm very disappointed. That's why I made the call to the other people and find out exactly what they covered. I don't feel like Protect My Car does any protection of anybody's car.

I called protect My Car and the rep there was very detailed. She asked me the same question as to why I was looking to get extra coverage. I gave her a backstory of a car that I previously had and I wish I had the extra protection but the warranty ran out. I didn't want to be in that same situation again even though I had a newer car. But anything can happen to the car so it would be better for me to get a warranty now than have to be sorry later for not having it.
Sometime in November, I made a claim and the process was easy and very smooth. I thought it would probably take a week or so for claims but everything got handled the same day. That included processing my claim and the insurance people authorizing the dealership to go ahead and do the fix. I didn't have to get a rental because I had a backup car. But I was assured that if I needed it, it would be taken care of by the warranty. Thank God the warranty covered my claim because I would have been out of pocket for almost $1,000. I didn't expect to use my warranty so soon but I’m just glad I was able to.
I would let friends know of the experience that I went through. It doesn't matter if you had an older model car or a brand new car. It would be best to get extra protection because things happen, whether it's a manufacturer error or something like that. It’s out of our control. The monthly payment is very low too. I figured that if I’m gonna spend that much money, I can surely get covered for less than 100 bucks a month.

We do work hard to make sure this protection is affordable for everyone’s budget and that when you need repairs, we will be there to make sure the repair cost does not break the bank. If I'm driving my vehicle and something seemed to be officially wrong with it or doesn't sound right, I pay Protect My Car to let them check it out. The hardest part is Protect My Car doesn't cover my vehicle until I take my car to the dealership and they start checking it out and start working on it. Like now, it seems something's ruined. My car is popping when I make a turn. But I'm not able to take it to the shop because they said they can't get to it today or the next day. It's going to be sitting there.
I filed a claim and had a water pump put on my car. My car sat in the dealership for four days and Protect My Car didn't give me a loaner. They don't do that. They should give me some of money back for this contract thing. I had to get somebody to come get me from the dealership and pay somebody to take me to work for four days and come back and get me. By the time I did all that, I could have paid for my water pump. I'm not happy with Protect My Car's service.

Thank you for choosing Protect My Car.

Protect My Car was a little more expensive but with the same coverage as the other company that I spoke with. Also, I wasn't too keen on the Protect My Car rep that I spoke with over the phone. I tried to call and speak with him about something. I left a couple of messages and he would never return my call. However, he did return my call before he sold me the extended warranty. He just made the sale and that was it. I was just a dollar sign to him and I didn't appreciate the way he handled my situation. I could understand sales, but you'd still have to respect people.

The Protect My Car reps were pretty straightforward in explaining the options I had and what would be covered if anything was to go wrong with my vehicle. They were pretty respectful and they took their time and were patient with me. When I had questions that I needed to be answered, they answered them. They answered efficiently. I was satisfied with that.
The only thing that I needed so far was an oil change. Protect My Car explained to me that they didn't usually do oil changes. But one thing that I was satisfied with was that they actually added on the oil changes after a certain amount of miles or once a year. They were able to assist me in getting my oil changed. Once, I took the vehicle to the dealership and I needed a payment, they handled it pretty efficiently.

I did some research before signing up with Protect My Car 2 months ago. I went with them because they are known for actually covering your car repairs and have a no hassle claims process. After I completed my 30 days and X miles I took my vehicle to my VW dealer near me to see what repairs it would need to be up to spec. They told me a cooling fan and a Steering rack. I gave them my warranty card PMC sent me and he told me he would call them and get back to me.
He called me later that day to inform me that my repairs were covered and the oil change and tire rotation would be paid for. He was impressed at how easy it was and I was happy I went with PMC. They do what they say. My plan has a 25% Deductible which is higher than the other company I was looking at but the rep informed me it is scaled because they actually cover repairs. Many other companies try to get out of paying at every turn. Overall I am please with Protect my Car and I honestly knew I would be. Keep on keeping on PMC.

Thank you for your review and the five stars. We are very pleased to have helped you with the repairs to your fan and steering rack. It is nice to have a professional adjuster looking over the shoulder of the shop mechanics to make sure everything is done professionally and completely. Taking the stress (and most of the cost) out of repairs is what this coverage is all about.

Protect My Car was reasonable. I like the rates and coverage. I called in for my oil change and repair claims and the quality of service I got was very good. The cost won't break the bank too much. Since having it, I know my vehicle is protected. If the transmission falls in the street, I know I won’t have to worry about it. I already had a couple of people already signed up through Protect My Car through me. They ask me things like, “Is it hard to get a service plate? Does it take a long time to get repairs done?” I tell them that it doesn't take long. All they have to do is set up a claim, take the vehicle to the shop they want, call it in, and boom, running through. Then they're good. It's great. It did what it’s supposed to do.

Thank you for a great review. You said exactly what are agents want to do for every customer, day in and day out. Provide great service to our customers while we protect their car and their budget. Thank you for choosing Protect My Car and thank you for the referrals. We appreciate tat very much.

Everything was okay with Protect My Car up until the point I had to kick out $5,000 to get the vehicle back. They wouldn't release it. The problem started because the car broke down, the battery died and the whole locking mechanism locked up to where as though it shut down. I couldn't get in the car. The original main door lock broke and it threw the whole system off. The trunk would open up and close on its own once in a while and the doors wouldn't lock like they were supposed to. The keys weren't working and everything was off. I was told what the issue was with my vehicle and I called Protect My Car. I asked the guy what was included in my select package and he told me. So I told him to do the work not thinking I was gonna have to pay $5,000 to get the car back.
I was told the electrical door mechanism was covered and then it wasn't. They paid for the fuel pump to get done and I had to pay for all the rubber pieces that wasn't included in the package. So I wound up paying more money towards the rubber package pieces that had to go with those parts. That was hardware that they paid for to be repaired. Protect My Car didn't wanna pay to repair the car and I didn't want it back not repaired. So, I had to come out of pocket. They covered 40% and I paid 60. It was a disaster. While my car was getting fixed, I was in a car accident. I got rear-ended and I had to pay for their loaner car and my car. It was terrible. It took them a month to do the work because they couldn't fix it at first at BMW. It took them so long and when I finally went to go pick it up, it was another $1,000 bill.

I spoke to one guy from Protect My Car when I was setting it up and it was cool. When I used the warranty, the dealership spoke with them for me. Two months after I had it, I went in for an oil change and the dealership said that the bushing had a slight tear and eventually, it would tear altogether. The customer service was good and the lady that I originally spoke to explained everything well. She made the case good so I felt comfortable with going with them.
I went into Protect My Car getting a warranty trying to get the best or the top of whatever coverage I could get and pretty much everything major was covered. But I got something looked at that I thought should have been covered that wasn’t. That was because of a miscommunication of when I originally signed up. They could improve on the clarity of the different levels of protection. Other than that, everything was great. I could have done my due diligence and upgraded the warranty, but I was satisfied with the service that I had. It was a used car that I bought so I didn't care but if it was something newer and I went with them, I would have gotten the top-of-the-line.

They got a pretty good rating from some of my family members so I tried it. And so far, so good. The only thing that wasn't covered, and they probably should have covered is exactly what's covered on my vehicle. The rep could have gone into detail a bit more about that versus me having to read my whole contract. I read it anyway. But they should explain to people upfront exactly what's not covered based on the plan that you're receiving, like suspension or electrical, whatever it is. A lot of people don't read those contracts thoroughly. But other than that, the experience was good.
All the interactions that I've had a couple of times were good. I submitted one claim for my vehicle. They fixed everything. Everything that was supposed to be covered was covered. I saved myself about $1,000. They were thorough and professional when I called. And I got it understood now what's covered and what's not. So if I have any questions, I'll call them back. It gives you a sense of security to know that you're covered, especially when your vehicle gets over a 100,000 miles and it has broken down before and you've had it fixed. I've referred Protect My Car to a few of my coworkers and friends.

My car is more of a high-end type of vehicle. But in the past, I had had a lot of trouble with it. I was just coming out a lot of money and I was sharing with my mom's friend and she was telling me that she had Protect My Car. She explained to me how they could help me and I could save money. So I put me and my husband on it.
The Protect My Car specialist was very nice. He offered me a lot of services but when it was time for some of the services, it wasn't offered. When I spoke with the manager, they told me that oil changes weren't free. I was told that I got three a year. So they were selling me a service that they didn't provide. But the manager did cut me a special where I had to pay $15 more to get the oil changes. I wanted to be reassured on everything and it was clear what kind of services I was supposed to get for my car. Outside of that, they've done some work on my husband's car and so far, it's been good. I'm looking forward to continuing to work with them and see how everything goes.

Thank you for your comments. Most of our plans do include free oil changes as part of the coverage. Some plans, like the one your vehicle qualified for, does not include that benefit. Since our agent was not clear on that point when you purchased this coverage, we added the maintenance package to your coverage and we apologize for our agent creating that issue. Thank you for choosing Protect My Car.

I have a used vehicle and it's always good to have a warranty. Most factory warranties are powertrain and stuff like that. Extended coverage will take care of the issues that come with most vehicles when they get to a point of 100,000 miles or 67,000 miles in most cars. But they don't fix all of the problems and there are still gonna come out of your pocket. If my catalytic converter goes, no warranty company takes care of that.
Protect My Car gave a promo on the radio. I asked for certain things because I didn't know what was covered with my vehicle. Somebody told me a few things were covered and what wasn't covered, like the clutch. Other than that, their customer service is great based on the little interaction that I had. Their reps told me what I had and what I needed. That was pretty cool. After that, I really had no issue. They did pretty decent by me. I have roadside assistance and if my car breaks down, they help to pay for the car to get fixed. I don't have to pay a ton of money and be bankrupt.
Protect My Car took care of me the way that they were supposed to. They also gave me a free oil change. They didn't give me a hard time and a hassle. Protect My Car has better quality and service. And I wish so bad that they also do Maserati, but they don't. The protection plan I have on my Maserati is just a hassle and a headache.

About a month after I got Protect My Car, I caught a leak and they told me that I haven't been driving with the car long enough to get that repaired. But it just happened and it was not my fault that it wasn't leaking before I got them. They said that I only drove 80 miles but I told them I've been with them for three months and I drive more than 80 miles in a month. I didn't understand how they navigate with the monthly mileage and that made me unsatisfied. Another thing is, I’ve got a referral and they have yet to get the rebate on it. But besides that, everything was great. The communication was crystal clear and the payments that I did with the oil change went through fine.

Thank you for your comments. It is disappointing to have a breakdown during the coverage review periods, even one that you were unaware of. Even when that occurs, we do our best to help reduce the cost of the repair. In your case we were able to obtain the parts needed at a substantial savings for you. Sometimes the car can get expensive to repair. I got an extended warranty with Protect My Car and at the time of my purchase, they were easy to work with. Recently, I had an AC unit that went out on my Mercedes and I needed service. It was very hot. I called in and took my claim, then I talked to the maintenance guy and they took care of my business. I enjoyed that part of it. The company that was doing the maintenance on my car pretty much took care of everything for me and I didn't have to do anything but give them my account number. Other than that, I'm curious as to why the policy limitations for mileage are different as I thought it was based on how well the cars are taken care of.

Thank you very much for those very encouraging comments. We appreciate your letting folks know your experience with Protect My Car. We hear similar things from other customers who wonder why some folks say such negative things about these protection plans. As you indicated, it usually only takes one break down and the resulting expensive repair to make a believer of most doubters. Once you save $1000 or more in unexpected repair costs, you know how valuable these plans can be to protect you, your budget and your car.
To answer your question, coverage plans are both by time (in months) and mileage (whichever comes first). Getting your regular recommended maintenance done is not only smart but helps keep your vehicle from breakdowns that might have been avoided with proper maintenance.

Once I was done paying off my car and my warranty ran out, I tried to make sure that if it ended up that I'd have any problems, it'd get taken care of. I thought it'd be nice to get an extended warranty and when the lady from Protect My Car called, she was really polite. My wife and I were riding down the road at the time and we took a hunch on them that they were going to be okay.
Last month, we had a problem. The compressor went out on my wife's car and the way that I remembered from talking to the lady online was that the warranty covers bumper-to-bumper. But at first, the rep that I talked to was saying that I was going to pay for the whole thing. But he went back, viewed the conversation, and under his discretion, it seemed that he was telling me it was bumper-to-bumper. But they were saying my Chrysler has it but the BMW of my wife doesn’t. That didn't make sense since we got both of them at the same time. In the end, they paid half of the bill and we had to pay half of it.
That was our first experience and before that, we were under the impression that with Protect My Car, you just take the car to the shop that you want and let the shop know that it’s going to be on the warranty. But now, we know how it goes that you have to call them first and they'll tell you where would be the best place to go. Other than that, the technicians did a wonderful job and I would go back to them right now.

Thank you for your comments. Different coverage plans cover different components. Vehicles are qualified based on age and mileage for the highest level of coverage. Since you vehicle and your wife's vehicles each have different age and mileage values, they qualified for different levels of coverage. We should add here that NO company can offer "bumper to Bumper" coverage, only the vehicle manufacturer can do that. We apologize if there was any confusion on those issues.
Although the repair to your wife's vehicle was not technically covered, we did provide assistance on the repair to help you folks out. We appreciate your choosing Protect My Car to help you with both vehicles and hope our good will assistance with the non-covered repair helped make that a little easier for you.

I was calling my bank to make a payment and Protect My Car was advertised with them. I purchased the warranty over the phone and at first, they weren't honest with me because I was under the assumption that if something happened to my car, I would have a deductible and they would pay for it. When I had to take it to the mechanic, they called me and said that Protect My Car would only pay half and I would have to come up with the other half. So, even though it's called Protect My Car, my car is not totally covered, considering the other agencies that’s out there that if you pay your money, you're covered. They should be honest with the customers. They're so busy trying to sell but they're not trying to answer any questions. They're trying to hurry up and get you off the phone so they can get to the next customer. In my book, that's shady and that's not the way you do business.

Most newer low mileage vehicles qualify for coverage that pays for covered repairs with only a $100 deductible. Vehicles that do not qualify for that coverage have a hard time finding any coverage plan with most companies. Protect My Car, however, developed the Ambassador series of coverage plans that pay 50% of the repair costs ad provide oil changes and road side assistance. All of that is provided for a very reasonable budget friendly monthly premium.
We hope that you won't hesitate to call us once you have reviewed the details of the coverage plan in your coverage booklet. We will be happy to answer any questions you have.Thank you gain for your comments.

I have a car that's six years old. I wanted to make sure, as my warranty was going out, that I would be able to protect my interest with it throughout the remainder of the time that I was gonna have the car. I was gonna get it done, as well as the initial conversation that I had seemed to be the right thing to do. And some of the other ones, price-wise, were a little high in my estimation. I wanted a plan, but I didn’t wanna spend more than what I was spending initially on it. So, it worked in my favor. The customer service is awesome.
With COVID, we’ve all had to adjust to a different lifestyle that has caught us all off guard. So what may appear to be doable at one time, is maybe a little stretch now, because of recent layoffs or shortage of hours. So, the $100 that I do pay now, eight months ago, it might not have been unheard of as far as trying to get it paid. But because I’ve been affected for my hours and everything else, it might now be a bit harder to come up with the money for the continuation of the plan.
The plan that I have wasn’t the first plan that the rep offered me, but he gave me options and he worked with me to be able to try to salvage the opportunity, opposed to just saying, “Well, this is the rate. Sorry, but if this is not something that you can do, then maybe another car company or something like that might be willing to help you.” Protect My Car works with you, and that’s what I was excited about.

We do work hard to make sure your experience with Protect My Car is a positive one and that the whole process, from choosing the right coverage, to making sure it is comfortable on your budget, to fast and efficient claims service, towing and rental car benefits, gives you great peace of mind.

I drive ride-share and I wanted to make sure my car is taken care of in case something happens. Protect My Car was a little less expensive than the other one that's got all the TV ads. It's also a company from Florida, so I felt like that was the one I was gonna go to. The rep I worked with was very personable. I used the warranty for an oil change. They come through every time. So far, it's been good.

Our primary goal is to give every policy holder good peace of mind. Great rates, towing, rental car benefits, fast claims processing and the personal touch are just some of the ways we help provide good peace of mind.

I just got my truck. Previously, when I had my car, I had to pay a lot of out of pocket expenses to get it repaired. I tried to think smart about it. This is a new vehicle. In the long run, if anything had wear and tear and it will need new things and parts that I can't afford, that's why I got Protect My Car. I talked to a guy and he helped me out. He went over all the things that the policy covers and doesn't. He said how much it would be a month and asked how much I could afford for the warranty. I said, "I can't afford that much." I picked a good policy for my Dodge Journey. It's a little high for me, but I’m trying to manage it monthly. I'm having a good experience with Protect My Car so far. They're working with me. I'll definitely refer them to a family member of mine.

I wanted to make sure that if there was any issues or concerns, my car is covered. It's an older car. It's a 2013 Audi. Protect My Car offered a better pricing. The only thing I used Protect My Car for is the oil change so far. A month and a half or so ago I had some work that was done on the car. But it seemed that it wasn't on the coverage. The plan that I got and the type of work that was needed was some type of stuff or device was needed for my wheel stabilization. I had the mechanic shop send the work that was needed to be done through Protect My Car, but it stated that it wasn't covered, which I thought it would have been.
I tried to make the argument that I was unaware of it, is there any way to adjust it, to have it covered, or put me in a different plan because I wasn't aware of it. But the rep mentioned that because of the age of the car, no auto plan would provide coverage for it, which I thought when I first got it that if there's anything that goes wrong with the car, I have that coverage. I felt misled in a sense. But the rep was professional. He just stated the facts. I'm just hoping that nothing else happens or it might fall on my lap again. I know there's a plan coverage, but I'm really not sure if there's anything that's gonna fall into it. When I get additional work in the future, I'll figure out whether or not it's actually valuable. But at this moment, I haven't seen the value. If you are to get rotect My Car, see whether or not it covers everything. Because based on my experience, I haven't had that coverage fully.

If the work being done on your vehicle was for something other than a mechanical breakdown, it would likely not be covered.

I just purchased a vehicle and the radio said that if you had a vehicle at certain year and above, you may not have to pay for repairs if you ever need it. And I had a very nice luxury vehicle and it was told to me to think about the future for these repairs that may need to be there. You just never know. I am not a mechanic, so I decided to get Protect My Car’s help. The package may have seemed like it was gonna be cheaper than it was. When I got it, they did the oil change and they did it good but they charged me more. They said I only had to pay 25% but they did not pay something that they said they were gonna pay.
I haven’t had my truck for a month now because I've been waiting for them to verify that it was my truck. I don't know what the shop did but it was driving perfectly fine. Then I sent it there for an oil change and they said it looked like I got some oil leaking, so they did a diagnosis on my car. They said it looked like my engine oil coolant was leaking. When it came out, it wouldn't start. I sent it back to them and then they tried to tell me it was a starter relay. They fixed the relay and then tried to tell me that the battery terminal looked like it was a little corroded. It was messing it up. And Protect My Car wasn’t doing that. Nothing was wrong with my car when I sent it and Protect My Car told me that they would see if I had these problems before I got them. I bought the car two months ago. It’s a Mercedes-Benz sitting on 22s and icy clean.
I'm satisfied with Protect My Car because they helped me. They got my oil changed and once I provided the information, they let me know that my claim was gonna go through. So, I'm assuming everything is okay. My vehicle is still in Mercedes-Benz. They're fixing it but we're waiting on the bench shop now. We're waiting on them because they did something and Protect My Car is not at fault right now. Even if you don't need it at the time, the warranty is a very good thing to have. Even though I went through that, I don't believe everybody's gonna go through the same thing.

I have seen the advertisement and I called to see what it was all about. And then, I spoke to a representative at that time. He was very understanding and explained everything about the policy and the warranty that it’s covered under. He also broke down what is free which you can get how many times, what paperwork, what 50%, things of that nature at the time when I took out the coverage.
My recent claim was for a crash. Someone slammed my car. The car broke down. Right at the time that Protect My Car was supposed to come out, I waited for two hours and then I left. I know that they are all over, and that a lot of them are in Maryland. I waited for them and they didn’t tell me. Then when I got to my destination, I got an email stating that they were on their way. I texted them back and said, “There’s no need.” I was so frustrated. My daughter had to come all the way to get me.
When I came from my doctor's office, I was so mad because I got in the car, it didn't start due to the accident. I called Protect My Car again to see if I could get some service, and I was able to get the rent and roadside assistance. And here we go again, setting again, starting again for the longest time. Then when I got home, here they come again in my email texting me. I can't do it anymore with this company.
The only thing I have had since I paid this coverage were the free oil changes. They were pretty good just to do my oil change. I have one left on the three. When I do put my car in the shop, I will probably use more of the warranty because of the fact that this last accident was serious. I have not reported it because I feel so in pain. I have not used them yet other than free oil, but I’m sure that if I did get some repairs, which is needed now, I’m sure that they would be pretty helpful.

Thank you for your comments. we do regret the delay in getting the tow to you on that occasion. We are investigating the national carrier company w use to provide road side assistance and towing to our customers nationwide to determine how and why the system failed one of our customers.

They explained it to me, "We do not cover rotors and brakes." I can understand with brakes. But I thought rotors would be a part of the initial drivetrain. But from my experience, I recommend somebody to have Protect My Car, which I did already, trying to get my daughter to join. I'm satisfied with the experience that I'm having with them. Our policies are intended to help customer with mechanical breakdowns, which are almost always unexpected and very costly. Maintenance of a vehicle is something you can schedule and plan for financially. To keep the policy cost down and provided help for the unexpected breakdowns, vehicle breakdown policies do not cover the cost of maintenance and wear and tear items. Adding these services to a policy would make the monthly cost of the policy too expensive for most people, especially for those on a budget.
Tires, batteries, brakes , rotors, gaskets and seals are maintenance items. That means that they must be maintained and replaced at regular intervals. The purpose of the policy is to pay for covered component failure, not items that must be replaced at regular intervals as they wear out. In short, you can plan ahead for regular maintenance. You cannot see a component failure coming. That is where the coverage really helps.

I've called several insurance companies and they told me that if what I have is nothing originally from my truck then they can't issue insurance. When I got a call from Protect My Car, I found that them paying 50% of my costs is better than me paying the whole amount on anything that I need to fix. Plus, their rep was very kind. I told him that I'm on Social Security and it's hard for me to pay the whole amount they were asking for. So, he gave me a discount on their coverage and I only pay 58 for it. Protect My Car called me and had the conversation. And because it's an Audi, repairs can be costly. So, it would be a good idea to have the backup coverage. I was a little skeptical about purchasing online and through a company representative. I googled them and I felt confident about all the information they gave me. I gave my representative my information and he handled the processing of the claim. He contacted the company and went through the motions. Then, he called me and informed that the claim was not covered. The purpose of getting that extra coverage was so I wouldn’t have to come out with $2,000 for the repair here that I have to get done. That was a major repair and not just a regular maintenance.
Protect My Car should break it down to let you know what is covered and what is not. It’s vague the way that they have the gap in there. Over a certain amount, it's a major repair and the guy at the Audi dealership even said to me that he did not understand why because most companies would cover this repair. Protect My Car paid for my oil change but everything else was hell. From what I'm paying a month, I could pay for my own oil change. I already had the AAA through my insurance. I have some of the things that Protect My Car was offering but when I needed it, they didn't come through.

Thank you for your comments. You raised a very important issue and we are happy to respond to it. This coverage is for mechanical breakdowns and does not cover wear and tear items or computer modules (like the ones you had repaired). That is because those items do not break down but simply wear out over time. The mechanical components covered by your coverage plan are far more likely to break down over time.
We are also always concerned that the cost of the coverage remains affordable for folks on a tight budget. Covering wear and tear items and computer modules would significantly increase the cost of the coverage and prevent folks who need the coverage from affording it. Since the coverage comes with roadside assistance, towing and other benefits, it protects you budget just as much as it protects your car.

I was calling a supposed number of Chase Bank that a rep gave me and I wound up calling Protect my Car. Their rep told me about their warranty and how it's a really good deal at a great price. He told me that their coverage protects my car and said what they could do for me. He ended up asking for my credit card and selling me their warranty. They sent me all the paperwork. So far, I'm happy with the warranty I got.
Before I got Protect My Car, I had received many spammer calls asking me if I wanted to get an auto warranty. I talked with reps from different companies and discussed their warranties with them. Other warranty companies wanted me to pay an enormous amount of money up front. Alternatively, they wanted me to pay a startup fee and I would then have the warranty for 14 days to review it and make sure I wanna keep it. Then, they would charge me a couple of thousand dollars. I never went with them and I got discouraged from them repeatedly calling me after I requested that they remove me from their call list.
With Protect my Car, I used their warranty, took my car to a dealership and they gave me a loaner car. When I left my service advisor my Protect My Car identification card and told him to contact them if there were any repairs that needed to be done, he called me and said that he had not been able to reach Protect My Car and that he had been on hold for an hour. He said this was one of the reasons why he did not prefer to use warranty companies. I told him that I can call or send an email to the representative that I normally deal with and that rep could get someone to call him back. I got into contact with Tara and she made arrangements for a rep to call my service advisor and get everything processed. This problem could have been due to the time of day or I brought my car to the dealership on a day of the week when Protect My Car had a large amount of phone calls. Still, Tara was able to get things resolved and approved.
The dealership diagnosed all kinds of things and determined that things needed to be done. My car needed electrical work. They also recommended that I get two new tires. I just paid for my deductible and for the tires and Protect my Car covered everything else. I've only had good experiences with this company and it's due to the rep I've been dealing with. She has a great personality and cares about dealing with people. She is a customer service specialist who is committed to Protect My Car and her job. There was a time when I called in to cancel my coverage and I talked to her. She resolved issues and told me to stay in contact with her for any concerns and she would help make sure everything is okay.

I have it on a monthly payment plan. PMC is probably one of the best purchases I've ever made. Everything is great. So far, I made a service request for an oil change and one for the repair of a rack and pinion in my car. That was pretty pricey.
What happened the representative from PMC that spoke to the mechanic only quoted that I had 50% coverage and not 100% coverage so there was a little problem with the pricing. I called PMC and even before I got into my story, the representative that I spoke to was already aware of it and was working on taking care of it. He called me back 10 minutes later to tell me that everything was okay and not to worry. All I had to do was pay my $100 deductible. The service that I received was phenomenal.
When something sounds like it's too good to be true, sometimes it is. But in this case, it was flawless. I hate doing surveys but for PMC, I would do it because that's how good of a process it was. They lived up to everything that they told me that they were gonna do. There was a $200 deductible because of what the mechanic wanted to charge and what PMC was willing to pay. But because of the mix-up at the beginning, they would pay the rest so it was good.

When I told him that I gotta have some time, he asked how much time I needed and I said that I would call him when I want to. Then he thanked me for wasting his time. I said that he just lost a sale. The guy was uptight and I didn't like that.
The package with Protect My Car was good and the reps did a great job. I had to switch a couple of times because this one person was misleading at first because I was planning on canceling it. They offered to drop the rate and then, I found out that due to my vehicle, I had to keep it up at this rate, which was no problem. It's lower than what they had me at. Then, there was another lady who handled everything. She gave me her email and she told me to email her for anything I need and she would take care of it or to call her personally. If it's like that on the service and how much I'm gonna be paying, then that's why I should stay. Protect My Car is well worth it. I'm about to get some stuff repaired on my truck like the oil change. I'm paying $70 for my truck for the oil changes and I get three oil changes a year. There's no other auto warranty company that will do that. Also, they’re not pushy. I’d tell people to get the warranty.

The water pump of my BMW was leaking. I went to the dealership because I didn't want to rent a car but then they didn't have any cars available. Protect My Car's policy indicates that I can only have a car rented out for a few days and that part of the coverage was very limited. I'm in New York and everything is expensive. So, I was never gonna get much back from using Protect My Car for the rental process especially since the dealership took my BMW for a week and the process of getting payment through Protect My Car took that long.
The process was straightforward though. The dealership did my water pump and an oil change that Protect My Car also covered. They spoke to the maintenance concierge of BMW and got the work paid for. I went and paid for the coolant and the $100 deductible. For me, it came out to be $300 which was still cheaper than the $2800 cost of a water pump change. The warranty I got was worth it. However, I have since found Endurance and they offer more coverage for less. My car has about 98,000 on it and I have another 2,000 miles until the turbocharger might start to go. That's a part that's not covered by Protect My Car but is covered by Endurance. I will be switching over to them.

It wasn't what I thought it was. I'm paying $107 a month for some car warranty, and it's not even covered. So, I'm gonna call and cancel it.

Thank you for your comments. Our policies are intended to help customers with mechanical breakdowns, which are almost always unexpected and very costly. Maintenance and wear and tear items are, however, not covered by a mechanical breakdown service contract. Maintenance of a vehicle and replacement of wear and tear items is something you can schedule and plan for financially. Adding these services to a policy would make the monthly cost of the policy too expensive for most people, especially for those on a budget.
Items like you had replaced, including windshield wipers, break pads and rotors are wear and tear items. They do not break down, they wear out. Other such items include batteries, light bulbs and tires.
Your coverage includes the engine, transmission, A/C and many other components that would be very costly to fix on your own without help from the coverage. We hope you will consider these facts before you decide whether to cancel your coverage.

I had a 2006 Durango and it was starting to show its age. So, I might as well get a warranty on it. In case parts start going, those would add up and get expensive over time. Protect My Car gives you a monthly plan. I was expecting when I first got it to be 200 to 300 but when they told me it was 94, I was amazed. It’s not too terrible. I've spoken to a couple of reps when I had to transition the warranty to a new car and when I had a few questions about it when I needed them. So far, their customer service has been top-notch and helpful. The only time I've ever needed to use Protect My Car was when I got an oil change for my current car and they were easy to work with for the dealership.

Thank you for those thoughts. It means a lot to us to know our hard work pays off. Thanks for the five stars and the great review.

I purchased an Audi A7 and I wanted to have some kind of extended warranty on it. I wanted a really reliable company to do that so I did my research and came up with Protect My Car. The person I talked to explained the warranty and what my deductible would be. I am a retiree and I had little perks there that I could deal with. The rep did very well. He went through it very sensibly to let me know what was going on, how much would be covered or how to contact someone if I have problems, how to deal with the dealer and to make sure that I call them first before I have any repairs done. These were precautionary things. If the rep didn't explain something, I asked him and he was were able to explain that too. I had a claim for an oil change and the process was very easy. I chose the dealer that I wanted to do the work and they handled everything else. Overall, I'm 500% satisfied.

I want the assurance that I’d get the car fixed if something was to happen to it. CarShield didn't offer me the protection I wanted whereas Protect My Car did. They were excellent. The rep answered all my questions. He knew what he was talking about. Knowledge-wise, he's very up-to-date as far as what was covered and what wasn't. The guy even went beyond his normal job and he assisted me in getting an OEM part for my car, whereas I saved money there versus going through the dealer to obtain the part. So that really helped me out.
I have filed a few claims and the process was very easy. My experience was outstanding. I feel that I could go anywhere and can rest assured that if the car breaks, I can call and they'll come tow to a repair shop or wherever I desire. I feel very confident. It's better to be covered than not have the service and wind up paying excess money to repair a car. I have spoken to a few friends and recommended Protect My Car over anything else.

I needed an extended warranty and Protect My Car reached out to me when I had my Pathfinder. The service was really good. When I needed to make a claim, it went off with no problems. The claim was for my transmission. The dealer thought there was wrong with it. But the transmission was under warranty so the dealer took care of that. We found out later that it wasn't the transmission but the alternator. Protect My Car took care of that. I extended my warranty over to another vehicle that I purchased, which was a Mercedes. Oil changes and certain things are covered by Protect My Car but certain things are not. I understand it's the policy and that we are responsible for maintaining our vehicles at a certain point. But for the money that I'm paying, $107, I'm having problems with the things that they don't cover and I'm questioning myself about the integrity of the service. Every time I talk to a mechanic or I go to a place to get something done, they tell me how it's like a scam because they don't really cover anything. Also, I just re-signed because one of their sales representatives convinced me. She said that it was what I needed and that I wouldn't want to run into a problem right now. But I don't have that problem. I maintain my vehicle and I don't have the factory warranty because of those reasons. All in all, my experience with them was not pleasant.

Thank you for your comments. we are sorry that you feel your experience with the coverage has not been a pleasant one. It is surprising that a mechanic would express that opinion. Sometimes mechanics don't want a professional adjuster looking over their shoulder to make sure that the right repair is being done and that an unknowledgeable consumer is not being taken advantage of. Protect My car spends over One Million Five hundred Thousand Dollars each and every month paying for the repairs to our customers' vehicles. That is real money that our customers do not have to spend on car repairs.

Recently, I had car issues and I was able to speak with Kathy. I was able to reach out and she helped a lot. Not only did she help with my situation I was going through, she informed me on how to be mindful of wherever I go to get my vehicle fixed to make sure they're doing what they're supposed to do. I was taking the car to a dealership to get the oil changes. They told me something and charged me beaucoups about it. It was really high. I didn't have the money to get those things fixed. I was also getting some stuff done at another auto shop and they weren't informing me that it was time to get my transmission serviced.
When I tried to get it fixed through Protect My Car because I wasn't doing the maintenance properly, they couldn't grant me the assistance. So what they did was help me reach out to the company that the shop that I went to during the time my service was due to see if they could help me. But then they said that they were not liable and that they just look at it. They said that they don't tell me anything and that was not what they do. So Protect My Car told me right there that I didn't need to go because they were not doing what they were paying for. They've been really great to me. I'm grateful for having it. All the services have been fine. When I called them, they respond. But when I went to put in a claim, I had to go back and look at my policy because the reps called me and said, "You have to pay who did the work. 'Cause you have to pay half the amount of product." I said, "Are you serious?" So then he said, "Yes." "I had to go look at my policy. And it did say that.
The garage put in a new water pump gasket, lower hose and antifreeze that I couldn't believe they charged me $52 for. It came to 1,644.06 and I wound up paying $1,000 for all of that. It looks like Protect My Car only paid the $600. I was gonna cancel them because why do I have it if I'm paying a lot? Why am I paying $135 a month if I gotta pay this crazy amount? I just retired, I’m on a fixed income and I can't afford. I'm not paying a 135 a month and then I'm paying more than what Protect My Car would pay.

Thank you for your comments. we certainly understand what you are saying. The coverage pays 50% of the cost of mechanical repairs, and pays 100% of the cost of oil changes, as well as towing, and road side assistance. Other maintenance, like replacing antifreeze, would not be covered since they are not mechanical repairs. That keeps the premiums within a reasonable range for most folks on a budget and helps them pay for expensive car repairs.

Our Ambassador coverage was created for older higher ,mileage vehicles that cannot qualify for coverage with other companies. Almost any mechanical repair entitles you, the coverage holder, to a 50% reduction in repair costs. Plus, the coverage pays for oil changes, tire rotations, reimbursement of rental car expenses and many other benefits, including towing and road side assistance. And we provide all of these benefits for a low monthly premium that is easy on most budgets.

I have an older car that doesn't have a lot of miles and I was laid off of my job due to the pandemic, so I thought it would be wise to try to get something in the event something occurred with my car. I wanted to make sure that I could be able to maintain the vehicle without incurring big price tags with repairs. I received a call from a Protect My Car representative and she was very thorough and knowledgeable about the product. She went over everything with me and gave full information about what was covered. She told me I would get an email within this number of days and I would receive this information. I knew what to expect every step of the way, so it took a lot of guesswork out.
I had a lot of questions, so the representative remained calm, answered all of my questions, and handled everything in an extremely professional manner. She also left a number available to me if I had any additional questions after that. I could always call and talk to someone about any other concerns I may have had, but I didn't have any 'cause she covered everything for me. That's why I went with Protect My Car. As far as the coverage for the warranty, everything was reasonable. They were even able to get me in a plan where I had no deductible. Whenever any repairs are made to my vehicle, I don't have to pay anything out of pocket, which was a great blessing when I had to take my car in.
I just provided the documentation that was needed and the service manager had the most communication with them. She made sure that she got everything moving as well. It was a slow process but that was to be expected due to the COVID. My car was at the repair place for about three weeks. However, she did tell me it would be a little while before they would be able to get to my vehicle because of the pandemic. Otherwise, everything was taken care of. The service manager also made sure they were able to put me in a loaner. My daughter was expecting and my mom had chemo treatments, so it was critical that I had a vehicle. All in all, this year has been really difficult and I'm grateful that I have Protect My Car available to assist me.

The only thing I benefited from using their policy was that I got two oil changes and I had someone tow my car one time. At first, I wanted to purchase a service contract because I thought it was gonna be helpful for me on repair parts, but in the long run, it wasn't. It wasn't really beneficial for me to get the policy at the end of the day because I can just pay for oil changes.
I wouldn't recommend it to anyone unless they have something serious about to happen to their car, like if the engine is about to blow up. But overall, I had a good experience. When the broke down, it was late at night and they picked up right away. And the tow truck guy didn't take 30 minutes to get to me. I just didn't get what I expected and I should have looked into it more before I decided to get a policy with them.

Tires, batteries, gaskets and seals are maintenance items.

After looking into other companies and customer reviews I quickly realized that Protect My Car was not for me.
I called the customer service line to cancel the policy and be refunded for the payment, but the "supervisor" was extremely difficult to communicate with. She kept trying to sell me more coverage and was unresponsive when I reiterated that I wanted to cancel. She was extremely unprofessional and simply did not listen to my request. It's supposed to be like for my Chrysler and somehow, it's just mixed up to where I end up overpaying for a price that they already quote me for. Protect My Car contacted me because they tried to go on to my bank account. They said that it declined one of the payments because they said that my Chrysler was $97, and I told them that it was only $82.15.
The rep had seen on the system how much I was paying and she said that she was gonna try to work something out with me but they kept doing it every month when it was almost due. I was a little irritated. But, things happen sometimes and I just have to be patient with them. I sent them some documents out and it took them a week to fix the overpayment. I'm satisfied with Protect My Car and I haven't had a dispute with them or anything that wasn't resolved. Now, my front end is making noises when I turn. So I might need to call them and get it checked up.

Protect My Car could pay for the oil changes and certain repairs on your vehicle. One of the main reasons why I signed up with them because I ain't got the damn money. The young lady that I spoke with was out of Florida. She was absolutely wonderful. One of the main reasons why I signed up with them because I ain't got the damn money. I've used oil change and the air conditioning service and Protect My Car paid for them. I pay them every month diligently, so they're just giving me back the money that I give them.

Thanks for your comments and for choosing Protect My Car.

Protect My Car seemed like a pretty good deal. I was very impressed at what they covered. Four weeks ago, I ran into some major issues and they covered the majority of it, with no issues. Even the dealership was very impressed with how much they covered. The dealership dealt with them, but I'm sure the same day they got the approval. I recommended Protect My Car to my girlfriend and my parents. My girlfriend already has it. My parents, pretty soon.

Protect My Car offers different tiers of products. They have a 50% or 75% that they cover, the three oil changes that are courtesy of them, and the tire rotation. I have all my cars with Protect My Car and I can just take my car to the dealership and have them fixed. The quality looks good but it can be a little expensive. Also, some of the agents are not nice and they can be a bit rude at times. Right now, I'm in the middle of a situation. My car broke down for the third time. On their end, they're saying that they don't wanna pay for it because they've already paid for it on two occasions. But I thought that they would.

Thank you for your comments. We are sorry if you find any of our agents to be less than respectful. We will look into this situation. Thank you for letting us know.

I gave them a call and asked them with some questions. What they said was satisfactory and I didn't wanna keep going and going, so I just went with it. They do free oil changes for the vehicle and we've used that. It was a very straightforward and very simple process. I haven't had any problems with them making payments when I had to use the service. It has been fun.

Thank you for your very encouraging comments. Please let us know if you have any questions or if there is anything we can do for you.

My car was breaking down a lot. I went with Protect My Car for a warranty and so far, I've gotten one free oil change already. Getting that oil change to go through was simple.

Great point, too. You never really know when a major breakdown will happen. It just makes sense to protect yourself before it does.

I had purchased a used vehicle and I just wanted to make sure I had some extra coverage on it since it was a used one, and I was not familiar with the long term reliability of it. I heard an advertisement on the radio and I thought using Protect My Car would be a little cheaper than what my bill actually was. The rep was very knowledgeable and pleasant to deal with. It was simple to set up the auto draft. However, when I took my vehicle in recently for an oil change, it took two days for the shop to receive payment and get my vehicle back. They had to pay over the phone with a credit card, and they had trouble contacting the right person that had the credit card information. That was pretty bad. Everything else was fine. Having a protection plan is very valuable. It's a difference between not having to pay a large repair fee and having groceries for the week.
