    Protect My Car seemed to be the only ones who actually do what they say they would do. The reps were very professional and helpful, and gave me all the information that I needed to make a decision. Submitting a claim was very easy. They just told me to take it to wherever I wanted to take it and that was it. I would recommend Protect My Car to anybody. I just got my mother and father on them a couple of months ago because their previous company didn't cover half the repairs that my mother needed on her vehicle.

    I had to have one of my tires fixed. When I bought it, the dealership had the wrong part for the bearing. They fixed that and I filed the claim. Protect My Car took care of that. All I did was pay my deductible. I appreciate the fact that Protect My Car was very upfront. As a woman, a lot of times, companies will try to upsell things that are not necessary because they don't think we know anything about automotive stuff. But Protect My Car didn't try to upsell anything. They were very professional.

    My cousin Maurice told me to look into Protect My Car and that it was good. I went with them and he was right. I was very happy. The rep who helped me sign up was a beautiful guy and was excellent. I got two cars on the policy now. One is with the Malibu. I'm gonna start using protect My Car really soon. Even if you have coverage, it’s always great to have Protect My Car. I'm highly satisfied. I like the road thing. When we break down someone will come and get us. That's beautiful. Weigh your options and see what your insurance company is offering. If they're not offering the things that Protect My Car does, it's a good deal to look into.

    When I signed up with Protect My Car, it was super informative, very friendly service and no pressure tactics. They were very polite about everything. They called me back in a couple of days to mull it over and make sure and check my budget, make sure I could afford it and not miss a payment. They called me back like they said they would and asked if I had made the decision. They weren't rude, too.

    I get three free oil changes a year and two tire rotations a year. I've been using those since I've been paying for the warranty. I'm getting well worth my money for what I'm paying for the policy. When I submit a claim, I usually go to the same place so that I don't have to explain it to the next place. Plus, I get a free car wash when I go and they just call the 800 number. It takes about three to five minutes sometimes.

    They give them my information off that little card and tell them what I'm there for. They'll run it through the computer and pull up my account number, and they'll give them a credit card number, and they'll put it in their computer, and it pays for it right then. I'm in and out in 15 minutes. Every time I've needed to call them like with a change of phone number, it was a very smooth process. It wasn't a long wait. They were always very friendly and it took no time to pull up my account and were very professional. I've been very happy with Protect My Car.

    With Protect my Car, it feels a relief when I need to get something repaired. I know I can get a little help. When I filed a claim, it worked out pretty well. There's one reimbursement I requested. I don't think I ever got it, though. That was the only complaint. But they fixed a bunch of big stuff. But they don't always answer their phone on the mainline because I've had some mechanics tell me that they've been on hold for 20 minutes and then they give up. But then there was another time I called Protect My Car and they said, “Just call this other number because we always answer that number.”

    They were able to answer all the questions I needed answers for. I got everything I needed on the plan. One other thing they offered, I could take the car to any place I wanted. I take this for the Lexus. I choose to check it through the Lexus dealership. But, I had one problem. I took it to the Lexus place in Memphis. That particular manager did not wanna honor the card of ProtectMyCar.

    They said they did not want to because of something about the amount of the cost of the oil change, something about some plans only paid so much for an oil change. We would be responsible for the rest. I told them, “No. That wouldn’t be a problem with Protect My Car.” They already explained to me that they’ll cover three or four changes per year, and that was that. So, my first oil change, I ended up getting it at ServiceMaster. But then I got a call from their manager at the Lexus place saying they would honor it, ‘cause I complained about it. He put in all my information and it should have no problem going forward.

    I have two vehicles that I’ve got Protect My Car on. We've had a few claims on and they've done good. But the other night, I locked my purse in the car so I had to call Protect My Car. The girl was asking all kinds of questions and she was saying a lot of stuff. She's the only one that’s given us anything negative. We have insurance with Liberty Mutual and they came out in no time when we called them. Another thing I do not like with Protect My Car is when I set the policy up, they said it was for five years and we would pay three years. They also told us that on our next car they would give us four years and we would pay for two years. But right now we're still having to pay. I may drop them because we've got some other good benefits with other people. I wouldn't tell anybody to go with them now. I would have if they had them done what they said they would do. It's costing me about $140 more a month on these two cars for payment and it only pays half.

    The rep was a nice guy. He explained everything thoroughly and we got along great on the phone. The claims have gone well.     I got an oil change and Protect My Car paid for it. I'm happy with their service that I received. They aren't rude. They were very helpful. There may be a potential problem with my turbo for my car and they were great with that too. They said, "We don't cover that part in particular, but we do have different outlets to which we can send you through that we can possibly still help you get the cheapest rate." I would highly recommend Protect My Car but I would probably recommend that others get a higher plan than I got so they could have more coverage.

    Protect My Car is really good for the ones who qualify for it and especially the ones with the newer cars. Their warranty is better than the warranty that comes with the new vehicle. When I got my oil change, I gave them the number for the claim and whoever changed my oil called them and it was handled over the phone. I pay 186 for both my wife's car and mine and it's a small price to pay if something does go wrong.

    I was a little scared at first when I first got it because when I would call, it would go straight to voicemail. But once I learned the actual hours and the different time zones, every time I call, I get an answer. I call to pay and I get through to someone every time. The customer service representatives are always nice and helpful. They're always appreciative and I appreciate them.

    I've had nothing but a good experience with them so far. My warranty covers the oil changes and with that and with the other car protection, it would pay for itself.     Their customer service is all right, although one time, I had a little trouble getting ahold of somebody to pay a bill. Also, I had to get a battery and they said they wouldn't cover that. When I got this coverage, I thought they said everything under the hood was protected. And $82 a month is kind of high. Other than that, I'm pretty well satisfied with it.

    The only thing I was disappointed about was that they said they have a rewards program. It took me forever to find it and when I found it, I was under the impression that I could buy things straight with the rewards I had. But it's not. I have to use so many reward points and get so many dollars off at something. Also, there were some things that were weird that they wouldn't pay for. They paid for the cheapest part instead of putting an unlimited warranty. If the thing broke again, they would have to pay for it all over again. Other than that, we had a good experience with them.

    I had a free oil change on my truck and the young lady had a hard time trying to get ahold of somebody. She called me back here right before Christmas because Protect My Car hadn't paid their claim yet. She said somebody had put on that they did something else to the truck and I told her that the only thing that we would get is a basic oil change and a tire rotation. That was all that my car protection plan was gonna pay and that was all we wanted. Protect My Car is good because I never had any problem with them. I had my Malibu worked on and they did a great job on that. And that was a little bit over $1,000. So, I don't have any complaints. They did an excellent job and held up to their end of the bargain.

    I put in a request form to understand a little bit more and a few minutes later, I got a phone call. I was hesitant at first because the job I had was gonne be cutting me soon and as any smart person would be, I would want to consume and save my money rather than throwing it out like that. But the car was one of the hugest achievements in my lifetime thus far because I'm an adult with autism and just this last year, I got my license. Everything's been golden with Protect My Car. I got my car back here at the beginning of literally right before Christmas because it was in the shop for the engine being on warranty. It was phenomenal that they were able to get that done on a time like that. The service was probably one of the best ideas that I had gone with for a used car like this.

    When I had to have the starter repaired, it was taken over to Goodyear of Hudson and they put it all together three times. The starter blew a little bit and it got transported over to Honda and Honda Streetsboro transported it over to Kia. Kia finally was able to get everything done and on time in a well-fashioned manner. The process was simplified down to the finest and I am truly satisfied. It's well worth it. Protect My Car has a reasonable price range of $93. They don't charge an arm and a leg for what other companies could be charging others. Consumers should go to them.

    I took the car to the shop to get the oil changed. They said that it needed some tires and some other parts. Protect My Car said they don't do that and it was gonna come out of my pocket. But when I changed the oil at Gene Messer Chevrolet America, I didn't have a problem with them.

    The first payment that was quoted to me was only going to be $37 a month but I was hesitant. The next time I got a call, it went from 37 to $50. I should have done it when it was $37. Then, I was told the $50 that I had paid was just a down payment but I was not explained that. It then went from $50 to $79. One day, I happened to go over my statements and the money had been taken out for the last three months without me noticing it. So I spoke to someone again and told them I couldn't afford this because I only get $600 a month. After I pay my rent, I wouldn't even have that much left over to either buy food. So, I got it cancelled.

    Protect My Car takes older cars with more mileage on them so I gave them a call and I heard what packages they have. I've had them for about two years and I've had my oil changes done quite a few times. I also had to use their service once for repairs on my Highlander and there were no problems with them. The place that I took it to went through the vehicle, spoke with Protect My Car, and Protect My Car handled everything perfectly. Everything was fine. Then, when I got my other vehicle in November, a 2008 Envoy, they gave me a great deal and I've put the Envoy on it. My communication with them has always been positive. There have been quite a few times when they've been busy. I went on hold for a little while but that's like any place, depending on what time of day you call. Other than that, I've never had any issues.

    Protect My Car had a cheaper rate coverage and it was quite easy to file a claim with them. I've also availed of the free oil change. But they've denied the service every time I submitted a claim because it was something they didn't cover, which all had to do with outward parts. They should cover more outward parts than inward parts.

    I had an issue with a thermostat. The techs called it in at the shop and got it replaced. The claim process is alright but it used to be easier. They changed it up to where I have to pay first and then the shop sends a receipt to Protect My Car. But the warranty helps out a lot. It's easy and it has a fair price for what you get. I had one claim where they tried to deny it but I keep such great records that I had to wait for a manager to contact me back. That was a two-week ordeal and it got straightened out in the end. I had to argue with them over it a little bit.

I told him that I preferred him sending something out so I could read it. He sent a book out about the policy. My son and I read that but we both missed something.     I was on another extended warranty company but then they started getting a lot of negative reviews and they weren't covering certain things. One time, I thought I was calling them to ask about coverage on something. I googled them and Protect My Car came up first, and I didn't notice it, so I ended up calling that number. I got a representative on the phone that was asking why wasn't I with them. He told me what was covered and the cost of the plans was a little cheaper. My 2013 has no deductible, my 2003 has a 25% deductible, so it was very fair. He literally talked me into it on the phone in a very professional sales-like manner. He wasn't pushing it. But he was just proud of his company. That led me to believe that Protect My Car treat their employees right, so it'd be a good company to deal with.

    I've had to do two claims with them, and both of them were covered. For my 2013, the cost in owning that contract is already paid for the year and got it back with two fixes it had had that went over $1,000 for both fixes. Me being in the automotive business, I knew the CV axle blew the boot apart because of the malfunctioning axle, the bearings in it. At first, it wasn't going to be covered. I called Protect My Car. I got an agent who looked it over and said they made a mistake, and that would be covered. I've already contacted the repair facility to tell them that it's covered and to go ahead with the work. They even fix their mistakes, if they make one, so that's awesome.

    To know what's covered in an extended warranty is very important. Most of the companies will cover engines and transmissions, the main components of the vehicle, really expensive. But most of them don't cover all of the other stuff that is connected up to that, whereas Protect My Car will do. They cover everything on the suspension of the vehicle. The only thing they don't cover are wearable items, like brake pads. But they'll replace a brake caliper which holds the pads if the caliper’s bad. Plus, they give three oil changes a year for free. They also have roadside assistance. I had to use that to get my vehicle towed for a flat tire from a campsite. I used it for my 2003 also, and they were on the spot. Quickly, had a vehicle out there, towed it to a local shop, and it was fixed on the same day.

    I’ve had mixed emotions with Protect My Car. They did something cool but then they didn't. We had a problem with our Lincoln and we took it into the shop. They were gonna go ahead with the repairs as long as we furnish our service report and history. But then, they would only supply us with a rental car for seven days, up to 30 a day. Our car would have been out for like a month and a half to two months waiting on the parts. So it became where we couldn't even do it, paying for the service with Protect My Car. And then, come to find out what the mechanic shop and what the adjuster told the shop was that we had a leak from our AC compressor, which I got under there with my father-in-law, and there is no leak from the AC compressor. So, dealing with them through that was a rough deal.

    You need to be ready for rental car issues. It's not, "We’ll cover a rental car while your car gets fixed.” There is a cap on it. Even if it's out of your control, there's nothing they'll do but reimburse you for up to 30 a day for seven days. That still leaves you out of pocket. Also, they don't pay for all services to keep your car running. They only do the oil changes to your car, and you do everything else. When I got the policy, it was my understanding, everything except for tires and brakes was covered and that's not true. The AC compressor wasn't covered, even though we didn't do anything to it. It wouldn't have been the AC compressor that they were agreeing to, it was the whole engine. So, they wouldn’t fix the compressor.

    There were a few things I felt misled on. I felt like I was covered when I really wasn't. That upset me. The whole reason for having the extended warranty is that in case my car breaks down, I can continue to live my life and get to and from work. It may have been a failure on my part, but at the same time, it was a failure on the person who sold the warranty to me.

    The guy I talked to the first time was pretty cool. I liked the way he told me what they would do if anything were to happen. Everything he said to me was true. When I had bought my truck, it had that push start. It kept on back-stalling. Coming out from Walmart, I was trying to push-start it and it didn't wanna start. I tried using my key for the push start, and it still didn't wanna turn on. And I was like, “Dang, I think the key just broke my starter.” I called them and they got a tow company to tow my truck to Pep Boys. Luckily, the issue was the starter and Pep Boys said it was gonna be $600. Protect My Car told me, “No. All you gotta pay is 200.” That's a good price for me.

    My second claim was for when my tire was flat at Sam's Club, and they sent somebody out. He switched my tire to the spare. They've been good to me so far. I've told my daughter to do Protect My Car too and she wants me to add her car to my policy.

    I called in, Protect My Car gave me the operator and I worked with that person all the way through the process. One thing I like about them, they were able to do a monthly payment whereas everybody wanted money upfront. They were able to work out a payment plan, which worked out for me because we was budgeting. If I have an issue, I call. And even though the dealership made an error, Protect My Car was able to correct it and put me back on the right track to see all my benefits. I do oil changes every quarter, which has been an easy process. I give the dealership my information, and they call Protect My Car. Once the dealership has finished, they call me to come sign off and they get paid. The dealership said they haven't heard of that warranty company doing this, and when I tell them, “yes,” they’re surprised. So far, Protect My Car ​has been great.

    What stuff is covered and not covered is explained in a little booklet that was sent to me. So far, I've enjoyed it. Customer service is very good and people listen. If you're having difficulties with money at the time, they're willing to let you go a month without having to pay and then make it up later or try to get payments lower for your monthly cost. They let me go not pay my January fee. So, that was very helpful for me. I was gonna cancel, but I got convinced that, when I did my brakes and everything else and had to do calipers, I was told that I could go and send the bills in and get reimbursed for the cost. Knowing I can at least get reimbursed for the calipers is a big help. I also got my free oil change.

    Worst extended auto warranty company I have ever used. I would not use them. I've been paying them for 3 years to fix the big stuff if it ever breaks down and when it did break down they found a way not to pay for the repair. Sent my car into the shop and they did a full inspection of the car. After reaching back out to the auto shop they said I would need a new transmission. A claims was made and prep for the work began However the claims adjuster needed some paperwork but wouldn't contact me about what he needed from me. I email asking for the info required. A week and a half later he sends a email saying the info I sent isn't valid but still didn't clarify info. That was my only contact I got from him. After that there was a second inspection where they found heat damage and wouldn't fix it anymore. They won't work on cars with heat damage, but they should do the repairs they were paid for and then red flag the VIN for future work.

    Customer service was pretty good but there were miscommunication issues. One representative would say one thing and then another customer service representative would say another. They would tell me the wrong information and I would talk to somebody else thinking I know what I'm talking about when I'm wrong because of what the other person told me. But other than that, the service was great. They helped me out.

    Protect My Car does not cover wear and tear. So if you think about getting them because of brakes or anything like that, you shouldn't go there. Go there for things like warranty issues on cars. They can fix any transmission or engine issues.

    It wasn't until I got the first service that the coverage was actually explained that I can only get three oil changes within the year. The last time that I had an oil change, I had to pay somewhat more of it because I got the second package. I was charged around $400. Also, after so many miles, other stuff had to be serviced as well, and it wasn’t included under the warranty. There was something going on with the air conditioner, and it wasn’t covered with the warranty. Infiniti dealership actually paid for it themselves and I had to pay $100 deductible to them. But for my experience overall, Protect My Car has been good. As far as the warranty, it was good to enroll in because you have to have it. The payment was pretty much reasonable.

    I had a bad experience with Protect My Car at first. When I signed on, the lady that was explaining everything was like, “Everything is included in your package as far as getting your vehicle fixed.” And then I needed to get something fixed and I ended up having to pay out of my pocket. After that, I called in and the manager was like, “Okay. Well, we're gonna check into it and I will give you a callback.” That manager never returned my call. So, I called back and it was this one guy who convinced me to stay with them. He knocked my payment down from what it was to something lower. He explained to me what was actually under my plan and what wasn't.

    When somebody's signing up and starting their contract, Protect My Car should make sure they explain everything in detail. Make sure that your rep explains the plan that you pick carefully. That way, you understand everything about it and not end up having to pay out of picket when you want to take your car into the shop like I did. It went from a $200 bill that I was supposed to pay my 20% to a $1,400 bill.

    Purchasing the policy was very easy. I had to give the rep the make and model of my car. Then he explained to me what it covered in detail and I got a information packet in the mail, which breaks down what's covered. So, he was very pleasant and he took my card and I get the payments debited monthly. From my first customer service interaction with Protect My Car, I understood fairly much of what I was getting for what I was paying. But I did not know that they give out three oil changes and they do four tire rotations a year. However, I knew that they cover everything that is not wear and tear on the car. When my battery was dead and my car had to get started, I went to AutoZone and they said it could be my transmission. They tested my battery and it comes out to be a battery issue. But Protect My Car said that they covered the transmission if it would ever break down.

    When we found out exactly what was going on with the vehicle, Protect My car did not cover a component that was the cause of the issue. They covered the after-effect. So I had to pay out of pocket for the cause of it and I ended up having to pay about $1,200 to get my car fixed. But since it’s all tied in together, I felt like they should have covered that too. They also should educate the customer service reps more on mechanical things and terminology versus them reading from a script. Two of the people told me that all that they do is they punch in something, then the cause or effect comes up and they read that. It then depends on how effective they read it as to whether or not you believe what it is that they're telling you. They would better understand their job and the consumer if they had some type of background knowledge as to what the mechanic may be saying.

    And as far as the inspectors, they are the same. They just go out, look at the vehicle, and say that they're going to put the claim in. But when they put the report in, it still kicks back to the customer service rep, who has no background knowledge in what's going on. The mechanic was telling me that the reason why my transfer case went out was because my car is an all-wheel drive and the ball bearings were bad, which relates to the transfer case because that made tires drive differently.

    So, if the ball bearings can go out and will cause the transfer case to mess up and break, then they should cover the ball bearings as well, because the transfer case was more than the ball bearings. It will come out cheaper for the company versus having to pay for thousands of dollars for a transfer case when you can pay for $90 for a ball bearing. If you stop the problem before it starts, then it will not be a bigger problem. But they didn't cover the ball bearings.

    By me trying to explain that to the customer service rep, he was pretty much saying that it was not in my drivetrain and that's not what's covered. He told me that I needed to look at my policy and he sent me eight emails about my policy. But I already have the policy right here. At the end of the day, I don't know what a drivetrain is because I'm not a mechanic. But that's what he was telling me pretty much, that I'm at fault because I'm not a mechanic and I don't understand the lingo. But as far as the product itself, the product is good because I benefit from it personally. I get my oil change at Valvoline and by me having this warranty now, I get free oil changes.

    I purchased what I thought was the Ambassador Platinum package, this company took my payment automatic drafts from my account religiously. However nothing was never covered when a claim needed to be submitted. I was in the auto shop in their network attempting to get my vehicle serviced, after holding for half an hour on the phone with the representative, Protect My Car tried to haggle with the shop on their labor and parts prices!!! After being informed of what’s “NOT

    COVERED” I DECIDED TO CANCEL. I was informed by Alexis (cust. Rep) that I would receive a prorated refund (back in November) in 30 days (nastily). To this date no refund, I called to inquire only to find out there isn’t one to be issued (per Michael the manager). During this pandemic who has money to donate to a company and get nothing in return? Not even proper customer service!!!! What did I pay roughly $70 monthly for for the past 12months??? I am livid. Companies such as this should not be operational.

    The one who set up the account was good. She had made me satisfied at the time. Once I told Protect My Car I would take the car to a shop. And once the shop called Protect My Car and told them what the situation was, they got back to me. However, every time I have an issue with my car, the policy barely covers it. It covers a few things. They told me my O2 sensors on my car need to be changed. I took it to more than one person, they said the same thing. And the other car I have on there, he had an issue. Something with his pedal and something else with the other car I have on there. Everything was, "No, we don't cover. We don't cover it." I looked at the book. But the way it explained to me, stuff with electrical and something that I would do with the engine, they said it would cover it. But when it comes to some things that's connected to that, they said it's not covered.

    I know a lot of cars have wear and tear on it. I understand they will fix brakes, tires, and other small things. I've had Protect My Car for two years. They should be more lenient with things underneath the hood and serious things on the car. What am I paying a warranty for if they charge me $800, $900 for this type of work? I'm on a supreme package, and I pay $73 a month.

    Protect My Car services their own product, which is great. I was also given some perks that nobody else had. I have a zero deductible. You don't hear that a whole bunch. I had some slight issues early on. But customer service got my attention. Angelina has been stellar. She has been quite receptive, and I like what she does. She has been way above and beyond customer service.

    I’ve had to deal with Protect My Car quite a bit lately. But the good news is that their people have been pretty receptive and they get back to me pretty easy on. So that works out. I've had some stuff I’m dealing with even now because there were things about the product I didn't know. Like I didn't know I could get reimbursed for oil changes and tire rotations. So I just submitted a bunch of invoices in hopes that they will honor those. If not, it's not a game changer necessarily. But in the future, I know I can deal with it. So that's fine.

The only constructive criticism I’d give is that often it takes a long time to get a hold of a representative when getting an oil change.     Original Review: I’ve called 6 times yesterday. Got lied and told I was speaking with management. I was disrespected to the max. I have 6 recordings of unprofessional behavior. Jamal accused Firestone of fraud. They have recording. He said they were not helpful when it came to my car at all. I was told I’ll get hung up on if I call back from a company that’s taking my money every month. This is the worst place and customer service experience I ever had and history to where I contacted a lawyer on the weekend.

    The man who talked to me was wonderful. My experience setting up the coverage was good. I’ve had my car in the shop to do the tire rotation and oil change, and Protect My Car lived up to their name. They did it all, and it wasn’t a big hassle. The guy at Pep Boys said that a lot of times it's hard to get ahold of Protect My Car to get the okay to do it. He called one number and didn't get any kind of response. I told him to call the number on my card. So he called that number and got right through to Protect My Car.

    I only make $1,200 a month, and it got real bad for a couple of months. So I called and told the guy that I was gonna have to get out of the contract because I can't afford it. It was $100 a month and then it was $100 or $200 deductible. But the guy come back on the line, and he said, “How about $70 a month and zero deductible?” So that was fantastic.

    The rep from Protect My Car was great. After I talked to him, he was one of the main reasons why I got it. He was very knowledgeable and explained everything good, and compared some things with me. He sold me. He was a good salesman and I would love to talk to him again. I'm getting to a point where I am going to have to talk to somebody with Protect My Car if they would extend the warranty because my car is gathering miles and getting to that point. I talked to somebody once before about that and they said they would make the offer when that time comes.

    I always take my car to the Hyundai dealership in Pohanka and I gave the car to my agent there, Sean, and he called in and they took care of it. I got three warranties a year from Protect My Car and I was asking why I was paying for it out of pocket every time I went. So, I called them and they told me that they gave me the text number. I texted in and they took care of two of them for me. For some reason, they didn't take care of the third one. I had gotten two more oil changes since then and I called it in and I never got paid for them. Sean told me that Protect My Car said that I was gonna get that.

    Last year, I had to text information in and that cost me money. I spent $22 sending them those because I sent all the papers and I had to spend so much money for a copy. It was altogether 10 pages but I didn't know how much to send them. I called them back and said that I didn't get my pay. I waited a couple of weeks and never got my pay. The rep said I didn't send them everything that they needed to get paid for it. They needed something else so I sent out all the copies but they never responded back. So, the last time I got my oil change, I said that I would see if I could go through Pohanka. I gave it to Sean and Sean got it done for me. Protect My Car paid for the oil change. I was supposed to get a tire rotation but they didn’t rotate my tires.

    The agent didn't seem to be as knowledgeable as the manager. Because the agent ended up switching me over to a manager who actually got my policy set up. Also, the explanation of the coverage was not good. The first time I tried to use my policy, I found out that it had to be 500 miles. Until I reached the 500 miles, the policy wasn't gonna cover anything though they get their money every month. Even if I made the miles, they wouldn't cover it because of the pre-existing problems. I was only 28 miles short but anyway, I took care of my car. Other than that, the reps were alright.

    My experience with the rep was okay. But the coverage was not explained as well as they should have. They didn't go over all the things I don't get. If I had known they didn't cover shocks and struts, I wouldn't have done it. But I like the oil changes that I'm allowed every 3,000 miles. I'm allowed four of those a year. Payment is also easy. They take it out of my bank account. If you need transmission repair, this coverage would be good.

    When I first got Protect My Car, I spoke to a couple of different reps and they missed out a lot of information. So, I missed out on a lot of things and I did not even know that I get free oil changes and tire rotations. I've recently had a problem with my check engine light and I got a diagnosis when I paid for my oil change. The mechanics said that I needed a certain part that goes on the engine, the main part of the engine, and the exhaust system, which Protect My Car was supposed to have covered since they cover any transmissions, fuel system, and things of that nature. But they said they only cover very specific parts when it comes to the engine or transmission. So it's like trying to hit a lottery.

    Today, I will cancel my policy because it's not useful to people. When you only deal with specific parts of what you say you deal with that's kind of leading people as well in a blind. I also read the reviews after I signed up and one of the reviewers said people were stuck with no cars. Their cars were stuck in the shop because they were left with these bills that they thought Protect My Car would cover. So a lot of people would go into this company thinking that when it comes to a transmission or electric system, they're going to fix it. But they would only do so if it's a certain piece that falls under that category.

    I made a claim and I was told the amount of fixes is too big so they need to send an adjuster to verify. I was told it takes 24 to 48 hours. One week later with my car being at the dealership finally the adjuster arrived and upon “inspection” tells me the claim was denied and one of the reasons was a “modification” that the tires were too wide. When I got the warranty I asked them myself if they need the wheel specs (I had original tires at the time), and they tell me, "No, it doesn’t really matter what kind of wheels you have."

    When I explain this to the customer service representative, they don’t admit they were wrong but instead they tell me “but sir there are other reasons to why your claim was rejected”. Another reason they said was, "You were recommended to fix the axels and refused the service," and then I have replaced that axel right after the visit at BMW. I was going to bring 2 more people at PMC but you guys are misleading and fraudulent. If you really record the phone calls then find my first phone call and see if I'm speaking the truth.

    We understand your frustrations; however, Protect My Car does not mislead customers nor engage in unethical or fraudulent business practices. After carefully reviewing your account and all associated recordings, we found that you began your coverage on 8/25/21, and when asked, you stated there were no modifications. You said you had been in an accident a couple of years prior, broke the right wheels, and replaced some rims, but there was no frame damage. There was no further mention of your tires during those calls. On 12/2/21, your repair facility called in a claim for drive axle issues, and Protect My Car requested an inspection due to the extensive repairs needed. The inspection report found that modifications to the tires/rims were present.

    Additionally, the repair facility provided your repair order history showing that you declined the same repairs on 8/18/21, which is seven days before you started your coverage. Unfortunately, we could not approve your claim due to the pre-existing nature of your needed repairs and the modifications that we did not know about.     Protect My Car's reps gave us whatever information that we needed, and as far as what was covered and what wasn't covered. The information was basic and straightforward. They gave us options but we stuck with the platinum that we had. Since we signed up, I’ve had to contact them at least about a dozen times. But other than that, the mechanic and the dealership we worked with already pretty much knew not to call us until they figured out the fee of what we were paying out of pocket before we did any type of payments. It made things easier. Having the extended warranty also gave us a little bit more of a fulfillment of protection and allowed us to take our vehicles out without a worry in the back of our heads that if something happened, we would not be paying a $5,000 to $6,000 fee for transmission. Instead, we'd be paying a percentage of the bill.

    When I called Protect My Car, their customer service rep broke down what they cover then they gave me an amount and they negotiated an amount with me. I decided that I was going to bite down on it, so I took them and they’ve been good ever since. So far, I've had two new motors put in my car and had a few things done to it. They also fixed the clicking on my AC and they gave me an oil change and a tire rotation.

    When I have a claim, I call them. But when I was got an oil change, I had the place call them and they took care of everything then the place gave me my car and my little paper back with the numbers on it. The payment was done before I left the place. The place called and got the job approved. And it didn't even take long.     The rep of Protect My Car helped me with everything I needed help with. Submitting a claim was easy. However, after paying them $758 for my claim, and then the rotors were still rubbing and squealing, they said that I needed to pay them 300 to fix them. They covered some, but not all. I expected them to pay more than what they paid. The bill would have been $1,500 and I still had to come out of my pocket for most of that. But at least they did pay some. They also did a great job working with me. I had to get the brakes done and I knew that once he told me it was wear and tear and they couldn't cover it all, I understood that.

    My expectations weren't met by Protect My Car, that's why I was trying to go ahead and cancel it. I was thinking that I could get some help and I wouldn't have to come out of my pocket. It was totally the opposite. I was thinking that anytime I had any problems, as far as with my engine and any type of situation, if I was paying on that on the regular, they can help me. But when I sent the car to Firestone, they couldn't fix the problem for me, some type of sensor. They replaced that and they charged me 400. But they paid for the roadside service. They helped me out with that.

    Protect My Car's rep, Darren, was amazing but his hands were tied in how much he could do. He gave me a month free, which was nice of him. But other than not, when I took my car in because there were some sensors that were going off, I thought it would cost me just a $50 deductible. But instead, I walked out paying close to $400 with a $5,000 estimate, none of which was covered. So I was a little irritated by that. I quit my warranty with Protect My Car because I didn't know what I was paying for and the coverage that I was receiving was pretty minimal. So I went with a different company who covers everything.

    I explained the the representative what my problem was with the lights in my speedometer cluster. He told me that I was covered with the program I had but when it came down to the actual issue I was told that this item was not covered. This action is now costing me over $700 for me to pay out of my pocket. Once the cluster was removed it could not be put back in because of mileage fraud under law. I now have to pay for the testing and everything that led up to the removal of said item. Therefore Protect My Car is not willing to compensate me for any of the expenses that was done. I am willing to pay for the cluster if Protect My car would be willing to pay for the previous testing and the labor. I am asking for them to reconsider and help me by paying for what I just mentioned.

    I went up to Walmart and I purchased a card that they have up there so that I could purchase this item for my truck, ‘cause I didn't have a credit card or bank account. I purchased the card at $168 exactly and they wanted $150 to start the program. After talking to them, there was just $14 left on it the next day. I went to the dump, and I paid the dump, and they said, “Nope, you'll have to use another card ‘cause there's only $14 on this one.” I said, “I just put 168 exactly. I remembered exactly.” What happened was Protect My Car tried it three times and each time was supposedly for $50 each time. So, there goes three with the $150. You add the 14, there's 164. They're claiming that they never got it and they never did it.

    I called the credit card company back and talked to them about it. They said, “Nope. You gave the information to the people and that's it, case closed, there's nothing we can do.” I fought with the people for three months to get that money straightened out. The only person besides the dump that I gave that information to was Protect My Car. So, something's going on there and somebody is ripping somebody off.

    They told me that they were going to take care of any oil changes. They said, “Just take the card in and show it to them, and they'll take care of you.” I took it in but the people wouldn't honor the card. I called them back. They said, “We'll reimburse you.” I sent them the information. This is going on for two months now and I haven’t heard anything. They're also still taking money out of my account. I'm having them shut down as of tomorrow. I'm all done with them. I can't trust them. They can't pay me my $55 for my oil change, but they can take my money all right. I'm very dissatisfied with Protect My Car.

    My rep told me that Protect My Car would be covering just about everything because my car was under 100,000 on the mileage. We went to California for Thanksgiving and came back. The light came on so I took it to AutoZone to see what it was. They said it was an emission thing so I took the car to Midas. The tech was talking about me paying for general maintenance which was fine. But when they set the emission thing, they said some kind of valve was involved. They're fixing it right now.

    Protect My Car called to tell me that my claim for that was denied and they weren't gonna pay it. I have two vehicles under warranty. My other truck is under a different company and I haven't had an issue with that one. Protect My Car was cheaper so I went with them to see what was going to happen. Obviously, it wasn't very good so I'm probably going to end up canceling it and going with my other warranty.

    Protect My Car does reimbursements. They really couldn't help me with some other stuff that I needed to be done to my car. But for the most part, it's good.     I got a call from a gal named Lacey and I spoke with her. She gave me all of the information about Protect My Car, the cost and about what the coverage would be. She wanted the miles on the car but my husband was not home at the time so I couldn't give her the exact miles on the Jeep. I gave her what I thought the approximation was. I then spoke with my husband about it because he has a 10-year-old car and we were trying to decide if we were keeping it or selling it.     I had Protect My Car on my other car and it was good until one incident. The issue was supposed to have been covered and they said it wasn't under the plan.     My rep was great. He explained the coverage to me. However, I gotta have service reports to do a claim but he didn't explain that to me. I got the fuel pump done on the car back in 2015. My gas gauge would read three-fourths of a tank, but the car would be empty. The car started doing that again a month ago. I took it to Rosemont, but Rosemont wasn't getting along with Protect My Car for some reason. They couldn't get what Protect My Car needed. They told me to take it out to Audi and Audi has had my car for 2 weeks now. They are telling me about the fuel and that I need calipers, struts, etc.

    I asked them about a loaner car but they told me they don't have any loaner cars. I asked them again yesterday and they still said they don't have any. I reached out to Protect My Car about getting a rental car. They told me they couldn't get any rental car until the claim gets approved so I've been catching Ubers to work. It's been crazy and frustrating a little bit. I didn’t think it was gonna take this long. It’s easy to take my money every month but when I need to get something fixed, it's taken two weeks. That don’t make no sense.

    I had one of Protect My Car's consultants call me and he explained in detail what the warranty company dealt with, how that worked, and how it would benefit me. He also explained about the deductible, what it would be, and everything that it would cover for the car. If the alternator or water pump goes bad, the cost of that will be a major. The probability of me having the cash in my pocket right then and there to take care of the repairs would be slim to none. It would therefore be better to have some protection on the car to cover me for that. I got a plan from Protect My Car and it is the best plan that’s gonna fit me. Overall, the service is great. When I'm driving, I feel secure because I'm not concerned about something really going wrong. If it does, I got that covered protection. So far, I only used the warranty for an oil change and that was free.

    The rep just told me that Protect My Car is good and that I should get it, and if I break down, it will help me out. The windows are not covered though and I talked about that with the rep. Agencies should protect windows because it’s part of the vehicle. If the glass were to break, that's also a big expense for people. Protect My Car should add windows, even though it's not so expensive. In today's economy, a lot of people are poor. They wind up paying to protect the vehicle and they should protect the windows, too. It would be worth everything because even windows bust or somebody can crack them.

    The rep of Protect My Car explained the coverage well and the service I got was beautiful. The little part I already had, we got taken care of. It was good. We had an oil change and a tire rotation. They did that and I appreciate it. But when I took it up to have it repaired, I got a red light on. It was some electrical part of the transmission, it’s the switch inside of the transmission and they told me they don't cover that. They only told me that after I had put the car in the shop and done the repair. I had to pay $500 to get that light for that. If in the future I have a problem and they say they cover the electric part, and it is something about the electric, I hope they cover it. I don't want to get it in the shop and then they call and tell me, “We don't cover that part.” And they say in their advertising, “We cover the electric system or the fuel system."

    Protect My Car is a good company to use. I hadn't had an opportunity to use it, but the oil change. I love that I can go in there and get my oil changed. However, it takes a minute for them to call to get the oil change. It usually takes them 15 good minutes to be on the line and I have been turned around. They'll say the system’s down because I'm assuming they don't want to go through that process. But once they get on the line, they give them what they need and we go from there. I pay whatever they ask me to pay, that wear and tear part of it.

    Protect My Car's service is excellent. With the oil changes, I save so much money. With the tire rotation, it keeps me from having to buy more new tires because once you keep those tires rotated that saves too. Protect My Car is right there when I need them. When I had a flat, they took care of it. They made sure that the person who came to see my tire was able to change the tire out.

    The first time I used them, I kind of had a little problem because the guy at the dealership where I took my car to get serviced was inexperienced. He claimed he had a problem with getting the payment approved. But the second time that I went, the guy went on ahead and called Protect My Car. All I had to do once the service was finished was collect my keys. It went smoothly. I am so glad to have Protect My Car and I would refer it to anybody.     I had to redo the clutch and the master cylinder for the clutch. The claim didn't get approved because it was a clutch and Protect My Car doesn't take care of clutches. They would have approved the master cylinder but the dealership gave me a percentage off of the work because I had the clutch done with the master cylinder. It didn't make sense for me to go to Protect My Car for the master cylinder because I would have ended up paying slightly more if I went to Protect My Car to cover it. But Protect My Car has a value to it, so I would recommend it.

    I had Protect My Car for seven years and then when my car got older, they dropped me from the best policy that I've ever had to some mediocre policy that didn't cover anything. So, I dropped them. Then I got a newer car. I said I'm gonna give them a try again. Right now, I don't have really any complaints with Protect My Car, except I don't know what's not covered until something breaks down on my car and I gotta take it to the shop. Then I gotta pray that Protect My Car will cover it.

    My headlight went on my car. It's not a typical headlight where you could just take the cover off and change the bulb. You have to go and take parts to loosen my car in to order to get to the bulb. Protect My Car didn't cover that. There was something else that they didn't cover and CarShield picked it up. Right now, the only thing that I'm using Protect My Car for is my oil changes. The process with that has been very easy. It's one of the best services that Protect My Car offers.

    When I spoke to the rep, it was a very positive feeling. She was very encouraging and willing to meet my goal of payments. Immediately, I changed from CarShield. But CarShield insisted that they give me less, and they did, and with the same benefits. There weren't any perks though with Protect My Car. Other than that, a plan like this is like a security blanket for a woman, especially with a low-income budget. Because if anything goes wrong with my car, like I when I needed an oil change, immediately, they served me and got everything covered with that. The person that did the oil change for me was satisfied with the business with ProtectMyCar. I have gone by to my original warranty, CarShield but I encourage you to try ProtectMyCar as well.     I liked the price that was offered by Protect My Car and there were not a lot of upfront fees. Their rep explained well what the protection was going to cover. The only problem I had was the shop was a little concerned because on my card, it reads 51,000 miles but my car is over 51,000 miles. What they did was put the mileage that I had to achieve before the policy would go into effect. That was a little confusing.

    I signed with Protect my Car and ended up having a terrible experience. I had my oil changed. They told me if the light didn't go out, I needed to bring my car in. I took it in and the shop said they were going to need it for a few days and that I would need to leave it. I hadn't made arrangements for somebody to pick me up or bring me back. I told them I would do it the next day, which happened to be on a Friday. I made arrangements for the car to be towed to the service department of the dealership. They came and picked up the car. They told me they weren't going to start until Monday and that it might take three or four days.

    Since I hadn't heard from them the next Friday, I went in and asked what the status of the car was. They told me they didn't have it. They looked around and they found it next door on the new dealership’s lot with the keys in it. The people who picked up my car didn't give the keys to anybody and tell them that the car had arrived. I was very fortunate that my car wasn't stolen.

    The shop fixed the car and something else was done. But I wasn’t going to have the dealer do it. I was gonna have a mechanic do it. I called and made arrangements. I then waited an hour or so and I called the mechanic and asked him if the car had arrived. He said no so I called back and the dealer said they didn't know what had happened. They said the car would be picked up within 15 minutes. I waited another hour and it still wasn't picked up. I called back and the people said then they didn't show a record of it ever that it was supposed to be picked up. By this time, it was on a Friday again. It was later in the day and they said it was too late to do it so they would have to do it the next day, which they did. All this time, I had to use somebody else's car and was back and forth with them. I wouldn't recommend Protect My Car to anybody else.

    Signing up was a good experience. So far I had to get an air conditioning unit and a power window problem. I wish Protect My Car did brake systems, but they don't. But they covered mostly everything. I had problems getting my parts, so I only had to pay a $100 down payment. I wish I wouldn't have to put down payments when I needed parts fixed on my car.     All of the things that they were offering and policy that I was eligible for was perfect for my budget. When I ended up having to use it, it really came in handy. My car shut off on my way to work. I ended up needing a new alternator. When I got to the shop, I gave the tech the number that he was supposed to call before he touches my car. When he called, Protect My Car needed to verify that it was me. Once they do that, I had to pay my deductible, which is only $100. And I got a brand new alternator out of the box. My car was back on the road within the day.

    Most people think that when you have an older car that's when you need stuff like a warranty and that the dealer coverage is just enough. But then it always seems like as soon as that coverage runs out, something breaks, and then you're left with the whole bag.

    The reps answered all questions and concerns that I had. They were very thorough going over the packet, what’s all included, and how they worked. I just had a claim where my timing belt went out. I had to get a new one and that was a lengthy process because Protect My Car had to send out the inspectors and everything had to be done. The staff wanted to do the engine instead so Protect My Car had to have a specialist come out and check it. Since there was nothing wrong with the engine, they just decided to fix the timing belt. Then they only paid $90 for a rental, and I had a rental for a month, so that was the only worst thing about them.

    This company was a rip-off! They did everything in their power to not cover my transmission. They even lied and said my transmission had leaks and also said it did not have a gasket when they inspected it. It was all a lie because I changed the transmission fluid and filter myself and used a reusable gasket. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!

You signed up on October 1, 2021, which began a 30 day AND 1,000-mile grace period. On November 4, 2021, five days after your grace period ended, you called Customer Loyalty and requested an agent explain the claims process to you. Five days later, on November 9, 2021, your repair facility called to start a claim for a transmission. We requested the services of a 3rd-party inspector to verify that no pre-existing issues were present due to the timing of the needed repair. The inspector found that the leaks were present before your shop visit and that the pan was not properly sealed. The seal was not in place, and only sealant was used, which did not correctly stop the leak. The inspection report also indicated that the leak was not fresh and not new, as the amount of grime build-up and fluid on the frame indicated long-term leaks. We apologize for any inconveniences and would like to speak with you if you have any further questions or concerns.

    When I found out I had the wrong contract, Protect My Car made me pay more money again. They should have gone ahead and used what I already paid and applied it towards the new contract, but they didn’t. I had to pay another fee and that was more money out of my pocket. Then sometimes, I wish they were a little bit faster with the dealerships. Dealerships sometimes don't wanna take a warranty because of the holdup, like when they’re trying to get us in and it's COVID-19 and they have so many cars, when they go to run the warranty, they'd be saying that they're not getting any reply back. We have to wait.

    I felt kinda frustrated. I just want to get it in and get it out The guy said they were not responding back. Then Protect My Car got back to the dealership a few hours. Overall, I feel more secure with Protect My Car. I had one claim with my alternator on my car and it went well. The only thing about it was that there was something wrong with where I took it to. I should just stick with the dealership.

    There was a lot of information that we had to provide backward and forward. It took a couple of days, but it was okay. It's just that sometimes some of the information might need to be clarified ahead of time. Initially, everything seems to be very positive, but there's some information that was kind of overted as we learned later on after we had gotten it. We had to have work done on my wife's car and it ended up not being able to be taken care of because there was some underlying stuff that we had no knowledge of, and so they were not going to take care of it although we understood afterward.

    I'm not 100% satisfied with the program because of the ultimate process that we went through with my wife’s vehicle. It was like we need to be auto mechanics and know different things beforehand in order for us to deal with the programming itself. They let you know that certain things have to be done. But of course, there are always timelines we didn’t know. I would caution anybody that I would recommend Protect My Car.

    Protect My Car always picked up when I called and they always got back to me when I emailed them. For the most part, there was a lot of communication and the response time was really good. But when I had a claim, that took a little bit of time because they had to be reviewed, especially when they were X amount of money or X amount of money over.

    The first time I had a claim, the shop found something wrong and it was a $2,000 repair. Protect My Car took care of that and I was paid fast. It was exactly how they said it was going to be. On my second claim, it was going to cost $20,000. The motor had a little bit of issues and the dealer said to rebuild was gonna be nearly the same. It was so much money and Protect My Car really nitpicked the claim. They found something that they denied the claim and that put me in a hole. Customers should read the contract step-by-step. If the claim happens to be as big as mine, the warranty company is gonna follow each word by word.

    Things can hit you out of nowhere and the next thing you know, you're stuck with a big bill. A lot of times depending on your car maker or what type of car it is, you have to go through a dealer and those guys don't work for anything less than 175 an hour plus whatever part. The only part they order is the original OEM. It really gets expensive really fast. I always advise people to get a warranty if their car is around 50,000. 100,000 is not even worth it. Warranty companies are not going to warranty a 100,000-mile vehicle when they know something's gonna go wrong really soon.

    I advertise Protect My Car at my mechanical location at the shop we work at. And I've used them in the past before I decided to get the service for one of my vehicles. It's easy to work with them. They're just straightforward with everything. The only thing that I was concerned about was they offered me a plan and they went over everything that was covered. But they told me that my turbo wasn't covered under the plan. And they didn't give me an option as to why. I don't know if that was just the stipulation, that they just don't cover those.     I was driving and I heard Protect My Car on the radio, and I went with it. But it turned out to be good because it was very helpful. The customer service was good, as far as waiting for service with tow trucks. It's the different companies that they work with that were a little difficult at times. Other than that, everything with the actual Protect My Car was okay. I had to get a switch in the window replaced. And since it was electrical, they assisted with that. And every time, if my car got a flat tire or I lost my keys in the car, I would have someone come out easily.

    The rep started me with a decent price on the policy. However, I don't know if I'm gonna be with Protect My Car much longer because my mom had them and she recently dropped them off. She had a situation with her car to where she pays on her car as well for Protect My Car, and it said that her engine was covered. But her engine wasn't covered. Protect My Car ended up giving her a couple of months back. In the fine print, it says that if your engine has been reset, it's not covered. No one talked to me about it and I don't have time to be paying as much as I'm paying Protect My Car a month. I pay more with them than I do my phone bill. If I need them and it's in my policy that it's repairable, and I hear something like my engine has been reset -- which I'm not a mechanic, so I have no way of knowing if that ever happened -- I’m gonna be pissed. So, I'm shopping around.

    Protect My Car covered my oil changes, which was nice, and I had one major claim of 600 bucks. The guy who did my car said that he has never seen a warranty this good, to where you send in the work and they give you no hassle. So, that made me confident. Then, the situation happened with my mom. But I've still been paying Protect My Car. I'm going to stick it out for a while longer and see.

    When Protect My Car is dealing with a dealership, it seems they don't ever get in touch with each other. I'm on hold for a long time and it's hard to get somebody on the phone. I wish they were more available. Even when I had to call to see if something was covered, the wait time was long. I wait but sometimes it’s frustrating. Also, some of the stuff I thought would be covered is not covered. Other than that, everything's good. Protect My Car covers a lot of the bigger stuff.

    When I first filled out the stuff to get Protect My Car, I told them I had the top of the line coverage. I was supposed to have the Platinum, but the guy and I were debating about the monthly price, and he wound up giving me the package that was one lower than the Platinum. When I went to get something done, it wasn't covered. But it was covered on the Platinum. I'm like, "But that's what I had for the first time." I wanted to upgrade. After I found out it was okay, I had to wait another 30 days, even though I was already a client of theirs. I love the fact that they give me two free oil changes a year.     When I first set the thing up, I said that it should be the same coverage I had with the other company.     When I purchased the truck with 150,000 mileage, it came with a three-month warranty. I got Protect My Car on the third day of me having it. They got the 30-day and 1000-mile that I had to go over before they could cover me. Then I was in the second month when my trans went out. I was also four weeks away from my deadline on my other warranty. Initially, I reached out to Protect My Car. I also reached out to the dealer where I got it from and let them know that I was within the miles deal of their warranty and the timeframe. Protect My Car said they would contact the shop where I got the car at and they would fax over the paperwork.

    That weekend, Protect My Car started getting the ball rolling. I talked to somebody there and she needed to see all the maintenance that was done on a car. I said that I only had the truck for a good two months and I spent approximately 3,000 altogether on accessories and things that were needed. They sent the adjuster out. He checked everything and he quoted prices. Also, at this point, I still haven't heard anything from my other warranty company.

    The adjuster got back with me at the end of the weekend and said that they were going to cover it, either providing me a trans or getting me a trans and they'll cover 75% of it. I said okay and I hung up the phone. Then he called me back two minutes later saying that I was already covered by a warranty company. I told him, yes, but I haven't heard anything from that company and I didn't even know if they were real at that point. He said that the shop emailed and sent over the warranty company's information. I didn't know why the shop did it. I also didn't know if it was an error. But that didn't make sense to me.

    We had to get a rental car every day for two months. I work 45 minutes away. My wife go to school, got three kids that we have to pick up from daycare and school, and our whole life was just on pause. Some days on the weekends, we didn't have it. We turned it in, just trying to save us a couple of dollars. I also tried to see if we could get reimbursed.

    The guy called back from Protect My Car and said that they would not cover my trans because I was already covered by my warranty company. I asked him what does that have to do with it? I was choosing to go with them. I didn't see this in the contract. It's not like my warranty company is stepping up and just ready to pay for it. He could have told me that they could reimburse me on the rental. He didn't say, "If you don't hear nothing from your warranty company, then we’re gonna take it back with us in a timely manner.”

    My warranty company ended up getting back to me two weeks later. They provided me a rebuilt trans and I still paid the percentage. They covered $60 an hour for the mechanics and the charge was $80 an hour. I walked away with a $700 bill for a new trans. That was a really good deal. But it wasn't Protect My Car that did it. They backed off.

    The reps were really good. They took care of some of the things when my car had stopped on me. Protect My Car is a little better. With Carshield, I can't get any free oil changes. With Protect My Car I get up to three free oil changes per year. That helps pay from some of the things.

    Hard to get in touch with the company. I sat inside for almost 2 hours after my oil change was done because PMC offered oil changes with the purchase of the plan. This also cost more than my insurance and almost the same as my car payment. Had to cancel!

    A warranty should give a sense of protection in those unpleasant situations regarding your vehicle… PMC provides none of these protections! You and your vehicle will be investigated and probed. Don’t believe their claims to help ..They only want your monthly premiums… Sure they will fix small and cheap issues that you’ve basically already paid for through your monthly premiums, but you’ll get hammered on major issues and claims denied .. Don’t fall victim to the scam as I did.. Not hate just truth.

    My initial call was to verify the oil and tire rotation services. I was told that these services are provided 3 times per “contract” year. Nowhere in “the contract” is that stated. The claims rep that I spoke to even referred me to page 9 and asked me to read along with him. I found that in insulting and against the level of customer service you seek to provide. I repeatedly asked to speak to his manager and he continued to refuse. In the end, it helped to confirm that contract year is not explicitly stated, and therefore my understanding that I had one oil change and tire rotation service left to use was correct. This rep also stated that I should note that PMC had already spent “thousands of dollars” on my vehicle's maintenance.

    I pointed out that this is exactly how the coverage should work and is exactly how the program is marketed - save thousands on vehicle maintenance. Furthermore, I have also spent thousands of dollars given the 50% shared costs. His reasoning was faulty at best, and rude for sure. He finally accepted to connect me to a manager and left me on hold for almost 20 minutes. I decided to call customer service from a different phone while still on hold. While speaking to one representative, a customer service manager finally came on the phone. He listened and realized that my request was simple. I needed the service on 10/29, just a week after the 10/22 contract year turn over. He saw that it would be unfair to lose out on a service and just conform to the reset services.

    He assured me that he would make sure the services would not count towards the new contract year so I could keep the full services (3 oil changes and 2 tire rotations). I agreed that would be satisfactory to me. After hanging up with him I received a follow up call from a different customer satisfaction rep. Surprisingly, he stated that 10/29/21 oil would count towards my 2022 contract year. So again, I felt mislead or at a minimum misinformed. This last representative however said that given what had transpired up to that point he would state in the system that the oil and tire rotation service from 10/29/21 would not count against the 2022 services. I really hope that is the case.

    Frankly, this experience disappointed me a lot. The services have been very good otherwise. The claims submitted this past year have been processed as expected. I don’t have anything negative to state about that. The positive claim experience and the last interaction with the very last rep that contact me drove to give a rating of 3 which I would consider just satisfactory. Had I done this review prior to calling and inquired about my oil services I would have easily given you a 4 star rating, and maybe a 5. Feel free to contact me if you need additional information.
