I've got to get an auto warranty and bought it from ProtectMyCar.com because they cut me a deal. The claims process is easy. You just call them up and tell them what's your problem, they'll check if that particular issue is covered and if it is then they'll take care of it. I had some work done to my car so I had to use the rental system for about a week. So far I'm satisfied with them.

Getting the extended warranty from ProtectMyCar wasn't hard - we paid so much a month for that. Two years ago, we had our car repaired, and the repair shop filed the claim online. The first time, I had a few problems because ProtectMyCar took a while before the repair was paid for. Other than that, so far, it's okay.

There are times when we hire a specialist at our cost to make sure the repairs are correctly diagnosed and repairs are completed correctly. While it may take a little more time, it is well worth it to make sure the job is done right the first time.

I've been with them even before they were called ProtectMyCar. Making the payments for the extended auto warranty is the easy part since I just give the money to them. One time, I tried one of their benefits and I ended up getting the auto from another car assistance since they didn't have car service available or it was not enough to be fully covered for some reason. Also, a year ago, I had a claim where I had to call a few times to make sure that everything was going to be taken care of but once everything got sorted out, it went well and as expected in the end.

I found ProtectMyCar pretty good so I signed up, and they were there for me when I needed them. Making a payment for the extended warranty was easy because I had the automatic payment. And when I submitted my claim through phone, it was easy as well. However, the claims representative I talked to had an attitude. He said that they lied and the parts I was talking about wasn't covered. So, I spoke to a manager and she was more helpful. ProtectMyCar did what they said and covered the parts that were on the list. My car got fixed and I didn't have to pay a $100 deductible. I would recommend them.

ProtectMyCar never kept in contact with me about the mileage of my car - they just let it run on. I had the warranty longer than normal because I didn't know I already had 75,000 miles and the miles had gone off of it. They never called back to confirm if it went to 75,000, and then when I called, they told me I didn't have it anymore but they were taking my money anyway. But that didn't matter. Apart from that, I never had a problem with them.

When you let us know you had exceeded the total miles of coverage we immediately stopped the premiums and offered to credit you the payments you had made on another policy.

ProtectMyCar called and told me I could still get a warranty on my car. But when there was something wrong with my car, they didn’t want to fix it. When I broke down a couple of times on a weekend, I tried to get them to come pick me up but nobody answered the phone.

A review of the policy details shows that you had a small noise on engine start up that went away in a few seconds. Your mechanic looked over the engine but could find no check engine lights, or problems with the car. You continued to drive the car and even after a second diagnostic review still did not find any mechanical breakdown of the vehicle.
Since we had no indication from your mechanic that there was a mechanical breakdown and the vehicle was working fine there was no repair that could be completed. We stand ready to help you with repairs when they are required, but can not help when your mechanic reports that no breakdown has occurred.
We also have no record that you had called in for towing or 24/7 road care. We will always be happy to provide that service when needed.

ProtectMyCar was a lot cheaper and it's something I could afford so I decided to get it. Overall, my experience, as well as making the monthly payment, has been easy. It was really nice that they worked with me so that my payment wouldn't cost almost a $100 a month. I would recommend them.

I had a fine experience with ProtectMyCar. They debit my card every month as payment for my extended auto warranty. It's like a life insurance and it's the best money I've ever wasted.

Making payments for ProtectMyCar is easy since they just take it out of my account every month. It's good for expensive things to me like the motor or engine. If something happens, then I won't have to pay an arm and a leg for it. I'll recommend them to a friend.

I submitted a claim about a month ago to ProtectMyCar. A timing belt went off on my car and I called them. I had to rent a car for a month and a half but it had come out my pocket and then ProtectMyCar will reimburse me. I misunderstood that part of the contract. If I found out that it was gonna be like that, I probably would have picked somebody else. I live check by check and this warranty ain't something that I hope would save me money. The car eventually got fixed but I was very upset because I had a month without a vehicle. I had to use cabs and that was $30 a path.

We do regret that you were not more familiar with the rental car benefits. We pay $30 per day for up to seven days for a rental car. Your rental car needs did exceed the maximum benefit under the policy. The fact that the shop took as long as it did to complete the repair did cost you more in rental car costs. Due to the nature of certain repairs, that can sometimes happen.
To help you with those costs, we are providing you with One Year Free Oil Changes on you vehicle. We will pay for the next three oil changes over the next year. Just show the service manager your policy ID card and we will take care of the rest. We are happy to provide this additional benefit to you. We want your experience with the policy to be a positive one.

Submitting a claim with ProtectMyCar was very good. They all took care of it right away and set up an appointment. I didn't have any problem with taking it and getting all the information. When I filed the claim for the incident that happened, from my understanding from Nimnicht Chevrolet that the car was covered through something else (It might’ve been a recall, they didn’t tell me) and they never did put in a claim. That’s why I didn’t have to pay the deductible. Also, the warranty price was pretty good and I do auto pay so they just take it right out. All in all, I'd recommend them.

Checking for recall reports, helping reduce or eliminate your costs and taking those extra steps to get the job done right are just some of the ways we go the extra mile for our policyholders.

Something has gone bad on my vehicle and it caused my battery to go bad when I restarted it. My battery is 330 bucks and it's not under the ProtectMyCar warranty. But I have to find out more about the coverage of their maintenance perks because I've done a couple of oil changes on my vehicle and that sounded good if it's covered.

Please let us know if you have any questions about your coverage or the help we can provide you. We do understand that even small repairs, like batteries and electronics can run several hundreds of dollars. It just makes sense to protect yourself.

One of the things that attracted me to ProtectMyCar was their roadside service. They're going to help with a hotel. When I called for roadside assistance, it was an easy transaction and they came right out. I had used it three times. Another thing is that it covered a lot. It wasn’t one of those policies that one would think he has something and he really doesn’t. There were some things that it didn’t cover but it had more good than bad. I also like that the price was low because I was paying $49 and they had it taken directly out of my account every month so I never even thought about it anymore. I actually forgot about it and have to cancel as my home was broken in, somebody stole my car out of the garage and I haven’t had the car since November. There's so much I have to go through to try to get it and they can’t let it out. But ProtectMyCar is great and I have recommended them to other people.

My friend recommended me to Precision. The claims representatives were great, and made the process easy and understandable. I was able to use the car rental. I'm satisfied with the company. It's very easy and they are understanding. Payments come out of my account every month. I don't have to worry about sending any mail out or remember dates. I have a busy life so it's convenient for me with the easy-pay setup. I have recommended them to a friend, and he should be calling soon.

My warranty had run out on my car. ProtectMyCar had called and told me about a warranty, and they were cheaper and offer more. They take the payment out of my account so it was convenient. But when my car needed to be towed, they still would want to charge me $100 which I shouldn’t had to pay if I got towing on my car. Also, something was going on with my current car and it was locked and they didn't cover that.

Towing is included among your many policy benefits on all covered repairs. The steering lock on your vehicle is not listed as a covered component, however so towing was not available under the policy on that occasion.
The purpose of the policy is to pay the cost of covered repairs less the deductible. No policy, no matter who issues it, will cover 100% of a vehicle. As your vehicle ages and more miles are added it will be more likely that future repairs will be required. As comprehensive as the policy is, it is far more likely that future repairs will be to covered components. When that occurs and we are able to help you with those repairs, you will be very glad you had the foresight to protect yourself with this coverage.

ProtectMyCar salesman called me and convinced me to sign up for the agreement and said it would be worth it. Because my warranty had run out, it sounded like a good protection policy. I set up an automatic payment with them. I was promised I would receive information in email but I couldn't find that email. There's a certain period where I can cancel and I kept looking for the email that I was promised but I'm not sure that I ever received the email. I did receive something in the mail quite a while later.
Furthermore, I had a problem with my vehicle and it wasn't handled properly. They tried to renegotiate the monthly fee but I wasn't going to accept it because I didn't really believe in the company at that point. Bottom line, I sent in a claim and I never heard from them. So that was completely unprofessional. When I did hear from them, they weren't going to cover the claim. I felt I'll never get any coverage so I've wasted $1,500 and it wasn't worth it for me to redo. So I pulled out of the policy altogether.

The work on your vehicle you wanted reimbursement for was for maintenance to your vehicle. Maintenance items are not covered under the policy. The policy protects you against the cost of mechanical breakdown. We regret that you feel there was a lack of professionalism. In fact, our reps spoke to you on several occasions to help you understand your coverage, but not being able to cover maintenance costs under the policy is not a lack of professionalism. We would have been happy to address your concerns had you let us do so. We do urge you to get protection for your vehicle and we regret that our policy did not meet your needs.

I'm disappointed in ProtectMyCar, they don't cover a lot of stuff. I had to pay $600 out of my pocket where the warranty didn't cover. I'm looking for another one because I'm very unsatisfied with this company. After my experience, I will not recommend this to anyone.

Thank you for your comments. We appreciate your providing them. Thank you too for being a policyholder since 2013. It is unfortunate that you feel the policy should have helped you more. A review of the repair history shows that we paid out well over $2000 on 4 repairs over the last three years. The last repair for $525 you referred to was to the hood struts, emission solenoid and valve cover gaskets. These are not covered components under the policy. Some components are not covered and for a very good reason. If we covered every single component of your vehicle, the cost of the policy could easily be three or four times what you are paying for it. Most people would be unable to afford such coverage. We cover the components that are most likely to break down and for the most part are the costliest to repair. We hope that upon reflection, you will see how much the policy has actually helped you. As comprehensive as the policy is, it is far more likely that future repairs will again be to covered components. When that occurs and we help you with those repairs, you will be very glad you had the foresight to protect yourself with this coverage. Again, thank you for your comments.

ProtectMyCar is a good program. It's affordable and I enjoy knowing that I'm protected. Making payments is easy while submitting a claim to them is very easy as all the times I've called, the problems have resolved itself. I work out of town. I travel out of town on a daily basis and needed an extended auto warranty. ProtectMyCar contacted me so I decided to purchase the warranty from them. Making payments for purchasing it was not difficult at all.

I was not happy at first with the people with Solace. The gentlemen at the service department gave me some hard time. He did not want to fix my car. I said to him, “You know, if that’s the case why am I paying you?” He ended up fixing it and there was no issue. That was the only time I ever used their service. Then changed their name and I spoke to different people. Some of them were very professional and some young girl was very unprofessional.
I did not appreciate that they did not send out a memo to their customers indicating that they have changed their name. They also sent me an invoice and they want me to pay $5. Another thing that really upsets me is when they took money out of my checking account without my permission. I said that is very unlawful to do something like that. I told them “Look, I will call in my payment every time before the date due or the due date. And then only then you take money out of my account.”
I told them not to do it again because I blocked them. I don’t trust them. I don’t know how strict they are but they are crooked people. I spoke to a lady and she was quite professional and I told her how I feel about it. I also asked her “From now on, can you send me invoice so I can send you money.” However I never got any invoice. If they mess up one more time, I’ll call it off. I’m not wasting my time with them. I told them “You’re not the only people I can get to deal with for my car.” As a customer, I make sure that I pay them on time. I don’t want any more problem with them because I’ve had enough already.

When we changed our name from Solace to Protect My Car we did so to give potential customers a better understanding of what we do. “Protect My Car” does a better job, we think, of explaining what we do to help customers. We did, in fact, send out both e-mails and written notices to all policyholders on several occasions. You were certainly on that list.
We also never bill automatically without a policyholder’s permission. Permissions are provided more than once on a recorded line for the customer’s and our protection. In fact, it appears that with your permission, we billed the down payment and three months’ payments to your account. Thereafter you requested that we send you written invoices. We were happy to do so. That you have regularly and consistently made your monthly payments is appreciated and would seem to indicate that you have received your invoices. If you ever do not, just simply call and let us know. We really are here to help when you let us. If you have any questions at any time, please do not hesitate to let us know.

I liked how ProtectMyCar was presented to me by the sales rep. Claim submission was a little bit difficult because I didn't understand how to do it at first. I didn't like that the repair company calls the insurance company to see whether they cover the service that is being provided or not. But once they got it all set up, it was fine afterwards.

We so take steps to make sure you are getting the repairs done right the first time and work with many different professional to make sure that happens.

ProtectMyCar said that they had a great protection plan and they vowed that it was one of the better ones to go with so I used them. But submitting a claim with them is a difficult process. They hold me down the phone for over 45 minutes each time and only took care of some of the cheap aspects of the fix that needed to be done. My experience with them has been horrible and I’m most likely cancelling my policy with them.

We were also happy to provide you with a significant discount on the cost of the policy and free oil changes for the life of the policy. All in all, considering the small monthly premium, that’s a great deal. We hope that upon reflection, you will agree the policy has helped you quite a bit.

I'm very happy with ProtectMyCar. They helped me a lot whenever I had a problem with my car. When I had trouble with my starter and another time with the air-conditioner compressor in my car, they came, towed and took my car to the shop. They repaired my car, rented another one for me and paid for everything. This is zero cost out of my pocket other than my premium, which is only $39 a month. They give their own agents to handle everything. However, my mechanic does not take them. I noticed that ProtectMyCar doesn't pay what a lot of the people want so a lot of mechanics won't deal with them because it's too much of a headache. So when I went for my air-conditioning, the mechanic fixed it but I had to pay $300 out of my pocket for the Freon. I'm not going to cry over that because a compressor for my air-conditioner for my car would have cost me $1200. I only paid $300 and I still got the warranty up to $225,000 on my car.
If I sell my car or if I give it to my daughter, the warranty stays with the car or I can transfer it over to a new car if I'd get one. Another upside is they come right away and they're very prompt. I had to pay upfront but I got my check back three days later for my rental car. I tell a lot of people about them and give their number away along the line. I have their brochure and I give it to all friends. I love the fact that they will take care of me if I'm not here. If I'd go to visit my family and if something was to happen, they will give me a rental car and get my car fixed for me. There aren't too many companies that offer that. It's comforting.

ProtectMyCar is our first auto warranty provider. Payment for the purchase of the warranty was easy. It came out of my account. I filed a claim over the phone when my transmission went and I dropped the car off. Claims processing took a while. Their representatives were friendly and answered all my questions. Likewise, I was able to use their road side assistance once.

I only had two claims submitted to ProtectMyCar which I did over the phone. They towed my car once and they did a part replacement for me. Their claims representatives were helpful, and everything went smooth. Paying is convenient since my payment comes out every month.

I have one complaint with ProtectMyCar. I know my payment is $60 something a month. I would have preferred that they take $30 out of my checking account bi-weekly, and they couldn't do that. I almost said no to their service. $60 is quite a bit especially when I have other things going on.

I’ve used ProtectMyCar a couple of times and thank God I haven’t had any major issues with my car. In one of the times, it didn’t cover the whole thing but it’s okay because I haven’t had any major work that needed to be done. It would be nice though for the long-term people that’s been with the company to get a reduction once a year.

We actually do not believe in making you wait for your savings for a year. When you set the policy up we extended preferred Customer savings of $800 on the cost of your policy. That means you have had those savings all along. That's what we mean by not just doing things right, but doing the right thing for each customer.

I chose Protect My Car because their price was nice and they were here in Florida. I'm still with them because they have been so helpful. When my funds were tied up and I couldn't make payments and was going to cancel, they made the plan very affordable in order for me to continue it. They even suspended a couple of months because of my circumstances. They were really cooperative and were very good salespeople. They have a product to sell and they're good at selling it. It makes me cautious when I try to cancel something and they're so aggressive about making it easy for me to stay with it.

I was able to take advantage of the rent-a-car benefits from ProtectMyCar. It was an easy process but the only thing is that they reimburse you on the backend. You cover it initially then you submit a claim and they pay it, but it went smoothly once I submitted the claim.

I didn't have a good experience with ProtectMyCar. One time I tried to use ProtectMyCar however it didn't apply. I thought that's why I had the coverage for these types of things but it became an out-of-pocket expense. Plus, the rep didn't seem to be too interested in accommodating me, the interest was strictly on how not to pay the claim. I was very dissatisfied.

No policy, no matter who issues it, will cover 100% of a vehicle. As your vehicle ages and more miles are added it will be more likely that future repairs will be required. As comprehensive as the policy is, it is far more likely that future repairs will be to covered components. When that occurs and we are able to help you with those repairs, you will be very glad you had the foresight to protect yourself with this coverage.

The computers in the car are very expensive, and I don’t have money if it breaks down so I signed up for an extended auto warranty provider. I had been with another company prior, and they were fine but didn't have as much coverage on the vehicle as ProtectMyCar did, that's why I went with ProtectMyCar. However, there are a few things that I'm not happy about. One, I was told that if I need the A/C done, it was covered minus the deductible. However, If the A/C unit is bad, the compressor is bad and needs to be replaced. They have to evacuate the system and when they do that, they have to put in the new Freon, and ProtectMyCar said the freon wasn't covered. What I don't understand is why they wouldn't cover the Freon. They should maybe define when they say air-conditioning. It wasn't even clear in the book on certain components such as the Freon. I wouldn't recommend them to anybody.

We do balance the cost of the coverage against a comprehensive list of components that are covered to keep the coverage affordable.
With respect to an A/C unit, the cost to replace a compressor could run hundreds, or thousands of dollars. As a covered component, your actual cost on the compressor would only be the deductible of $100. The fluid replacement would be a minimal additional expense. Having done this very repair for many, many customers over the years, we have never had anyone express concern about having to pay for the fluid after having saved so many hundreds or thousands of dollars on the repair.
We hope on reflection you will see how valuable this protection can be when you need to have repair work done. As always, please let us know anytime you have nay questions.

I called Protect My Car after recommending them to a friend. They said that the vehicle that was going to be covered was a luxury vehicle and they would do an oil change on it. Pay them $50 a month, they would do three oil changes. So I said, “Okay. So that’s $200 an oil change? Hell no!" That sucks. So that didn’t work for that particular referral. But I'm fine with Protect My Car. I have the extended auto warranty for my van. I had a problem with a pulley that went on a crank and that was covered so that was good.
I also filed a claim for the fuel pump. The problem never is with getting the work done, it’s the company that’s doing the work. They have their set prices and the warranty companies never pay what they would normally get if you were paying cash so they always complain about it because they’re so used to gouging people.

The first warranty I had was a little bit cheaper but one thing that got my attention about ProtectMyCar is that they adjust the monthly fee. If I can't afford to pay the full amount, they adjust it to where I can afford it. My ProtectMyCar warranty was about to expire and I renewed with them. I haven't used it though because I haven't had any problems with the car. I love the car and I hope to keep it for a while. This warranty is something to cover it if something major happens to it. Otherwise, it would be really expensive. Payment was very easy. I used my credit card to start it and I put it on a direct deposit so they'd deduct it from my credit card. And if I get some extras sometimes, I'll send some extra money to try and pay it all sooner.

ProtectMyCar is very good. I use them for the extended warranty of a used truck I bought. It has been for about 10 years now and they are awesome. My payments for the warranty are deducted straight from my bank address. I submitted a claim once last year and they were prompt in taking care of it. The overall process was fairly easy.

I had my warranty with another company and ProtectMyCar bought that company out. Then my car was running out of warranty and ProtectMyCar contacted me. They gave me a pretty good deal and I liked what they were saying so I went with them. Payments were easy. I go online and give them a credit card and once a month they would take it out of my account.
I typically submit my claims for maintenance repair over the phone. The representatives I spoke with were very, very friendly and their response was ASAP. I just give the dealer their number and the dealer deals with them. I pay my deductible when I go and pick up my vehicle. It's fantastic. Right now I just have one vehicle with ProtectMyCar on it but I'm about to put my other vehicle with them.

I chose ProtectMyCar for the cost, flexibility, and coverage. Overall, it was a good experience with them. However, the payment processing is a constant struggle and could use an improvement. Traditionally, they auto debit people's accounts and I opted not to do that. I send my payments in. I'm never late but they don't process my payments on time because I get monthly phone calls from them saying they didn't get my payment. It was a simple process though when I had the tailgate of my Chevy Tahoe fixed. But when the dealership called to get the claim approved, it took a full business day to get it approved. The dealer had me leave my car prior to approval so I was without a car for a day which stunk a little bit. Overall, our experience with them was good with regard to customer service and willingness to help.

We do apologize for the inconvenience but we are glad the repair was completed properly.

The guy I talked to from ProtectMyCar had a good spiel as far as that I could get out of it anytime I wanted to. It wasn't terribly expensive and the coverage sounded good. He listed couple of things, like if the electronic brain in my car went bad, it's a really big-ticket item. And then the fact that I bought my car used, it seemed like just the right fit at the right time. Also, they worked with me to make payments affordable.

From pricing, to monthly payment adjustments, to help with repairs, towing and rental car benefits, we know these policies protect not just your budget but you as well as your car. ProtectMyCar.com accepts the payments very easily. However, they’ve done something a little funny with collecting it. They’ve changed the name of the company three times that the payments were going to and one of them wasn’t even a warranty company. It was some hair salon that took the payments for a little while. It was very strange. But then I see it went back to being the warranty company again recently. I’m a little concerned about what they did with the processing and their practices with the charges against my card. I heeded the charges at one point because it came out as something different than what it was and I didn’t recognize it.
I’m a mechanical inspector and I do extended warranty inspections so I’m very familiar with the policies, procedures and all of that as far as new kind of warranties is concerned. I haven’t used them yet but I need to bring my truck in. There are a couple of things that need to be done and I’ve got a window switch that’s not working.

We changed our name to Protect My Car (from Solace) to more accurately reflect what we do for our customers. What will never change is our willingness to go the extra mile to help you when you need it.
Your account is and has been up to date since you joined us as a policyholder. Your payments were never directed thru any third party. If that has happened to you it was some other company and you need to check with your financial institution.

I would never recommend ProtectMyCar.com. Submitting a claim was difficult and they rejected my claim so I ended up doing a little to the car to make it work but it's down again. I am in the Navy and finding Bin Laden is easier than getting any service from this company. They have not covered anything on my car and I have them in court right now.

Submitting a claim to ProtectMyCar is not a bad experience. Like any other place, I get some people that are pretty knowledgeable and willing to communicate, and I get some that are not. Also, I have no problem with making payments since I've set up an automatic payment. I also didn't have any problem with them paying. Once we came to an agreement, they went ahead and took care of the bill and got me out of there, and got my vehicle back to me. However, once I got into the warranty, they say what are covered and they don't cover whatever components that are not listed. I didn't know that fluids were a component. They said that fluids are not listed on their contract and I had no knowledge with that. Overall I would recommend them because of the small prints, but I didn't like the part as far as what they cover and what they don't.

Please remember, our policies are intended to help customer with mechanical breakdowns, not maintenance items such as fluids, batteries, tires and items of that nature. Adding these services to a policy would make the monthly cost of the policy too expensive for most people, especially for those on a budget.

I’ve had ProtectMyCar for three years and it was a good deal when I took it. Making payments to them wasn't difficult at all. I've used their roadside assistance one time. I called and told them what I needed, and then they came and got my vehicle. But when it got to the shop, the problem was not covered under the warranty so I had to pay for it. So I only used them for the towing. But still, their claims representatives were very courteous and helpful and overall, it was a pleasant experience.

I wanted something to protect me against the dealer so I took a chance with ProtectMyCar and got the platinum package. ProtectMyCar came through during a stressful moment and I was satisfied. As a matter of fact, I think they busted the car dealership. I had a brand new Honda Accord so there shouldn't be that many issues with it. But one day I had some bushing that was going bad. Before we signed up an extended warranty, the staff from the car dealership came up with $800 bill. However, after getting in contact with ProtectMyCar, they came back with a $300-some bill. I liked that. All I have to do is pay my deductible and they'd take it from there. I didn't know exactly how much is coming out of my pocket, but I just knew, with them, I was reassured. I already recommended somebody to ProtectMyCar and they signed up as well.

ProtectMyCar is very easy to deal with. They were the only ones that ever called and asked what I am currently driving. And when I told them, they looked up a few things, we talked back and forth a couple of times, and they said that they would be able to have my current vehicle under warranty. To make my payments, I set-up a direct withdrawal off my bank card. Also, when I submitted a claim, I just had to tell them what shop I was going to and what needed to be done. The shop and the warranty company got together and at the end of the day, I paid my deductible and the few extras that I had the shop do for me. It was very simple.

Overall it's not hard to make payments for ProtectMyCar. I took my vehicle in for a check and I rented another car so now I need to talk to someone from ProtectMyCar about that.

I saw ProtectMyCar online and a friend of mine, who has it, recommended it afterwards. Purchasing it was a smooth transaction. I had one claim but it was denied because it's a scene of the crime. But generally, the experience is good.

I have had to use ProtectMyCar a couple of times because my car is not a new car! The used car dealer lied to me. Well surprise, surprise! I have bought and sold enough cars in my life to know that they're all liars and the car had been in a wreck. I went back and fought with them, and of course you can't win. So I had to have some things repaired that were major expenses. ProtectMyCar responded within a couple days and all I had to pay was $100. My mechanic who deals with this all day, said that most of the insurances take more than a week to respond. He was very impressed and he likes them too.
Then I was picking this lady up from work at a hotel way on the other side of town, and the car died on me. ProtectMyCar's tow service came over and it was excellent though it took a long time because they couldn't find a local tow truck. I'm so happy, very satisfied and impressed with ProtectMyCar. A friend of mine is getting ready to buy a used car and I'm telling her and everybody to go with ProtectMyCar. I love it! Mine is $49 a month and I can live with that. Some of the extended warranty companies are much higher than that.

Protect My Car contacted me through some literature through the mail. After reading it and speaking to another rep on the phone, and given consideration, I took upon it and thought that it would be a wise thing to have. I realized that I no longer have any protection on the drivetrain and all things that was on the vehicle and I thought I would need it. It was a good thing this year I’m having them. They took care of me very well and did some things that I didn’t expect them to do. I have used it this morning for road assistance and they took care of the car, made sure it got to the dealership, and got me off the road. They also came to my house and gave me a jump when my car battery had died down.

It was a terrible experience with ProtectMyCar. My car was supposed to be covered, but it seemed like the company found a way not to cover it. We had been speaking with the claims rep and the auto shop from where we got the vehicle, back and forth at one point, so we let it go and hope that the truck won’t break down on us. The company worked with me on the payments, however, I wouldn’t have a warranty from them if I didn’t need it.

The policy records do show that we paid over $685 for the alternator repair and window regulator. However, the throttle body was not a covered component under your policy.
The purpose of the policy is to pay the cost of covered repairs less the deductible. No policy, no matter who issues it, will cover 100% of a vehicle. As your vehicle ages and more miles are added it will be more and more likely that future repairs will be required. As comprehensive as the policy is, it is far more likely that future repairs will be to covered components. When that occurs and we are able to help you with those repairs, you will be very glad you had the foresight to protect yourself with this coverage.

I had two claims and Protect My Car was supposed to put the original part of the car, but they didn't and said they don’t pay the original part. They put some part and two months later, I had to come back because it was broken again. I don’t use them anymore.

I’ve been with ProtectMyCar for a couple of years now. I make payments to them every month through direct deposit, although I’ve not needed them for anything yet. I did ask them, though, about certain things like what would be eligible for a claim. For most of the things I asked, however, I was told, “No, that’s not really covered.” I asked if tires were covered if it’s bumper-to-bumper and they said, “Well, everything really except for tires.” I asked, “Okay, brakes then?” It was a no. “What if the engine needed to be replaced?” I was told, “Well, I don’t know. Maybe.”
I asked them how it would go if I did file a claim and they said that they would do it by card to whatever place was fixing my car. They have a GPC card and they’d do a debit card transaction. Other than that, they seem like a good company. Originally, because I’m military, they cut me a good deal and gave me a discount. If I ever do submit a claim, I’ve got a good package there.

It might help to understand, however, that the policy is meant to pay for covered repairs on mechanical breakdown of the covered components. The policy does not assist with regular maintenance or wear and tear items. Brake pads, tires trim, batteries and light bulbs are things that have to be replaced on regular foreseeable basis. Breakdowns, however, are almost never foreseeable. When that happens you will be very glad you had the foresight to have this protection.

I never had any problem with Protect My Car when submitting a claim. The only thing that I'm confused about is they keep changing names and places to send the money to. I send the money to whoever they said to send it to and then they sent me a letter saying I'm two months behind in payments, but I know I made payments on those months. I decided not to send them any more money because I can't keep on sending the money to different places and I don't know where it's going to. I’m very dissatisfied.

We changed our name to Protect My Car (from Solace) to more accurately reflect what we do for our customers. What will never change is our willingness to go the extra mile to help you when you need it.

I signed up for ProtectMyCar’s bumper to bumper cover, and they told me one thing but when I tried to use it one time, they said they didn’t cover my problem so I’m almost thinking that I was being exploited. I have really been misled and if anything goes wrong with my car like the transmission, they’re going to try to pull the same game again and not fix it. They also told me when my car broke down to use a rental since my car had to be in the shop for many days, but I had to pay for it while waiting on the time to get my car worked on.

The items that were not covered were the leaking windows and leaking trunk from the window glass and trunk struts and the front struts.

Very dissatisfied with ProtectMyCar. I've been paying them money and they've never done nothing for me. Every time I ever tried to get a claim from them for anything, it wasn't covered. They didn't even help me figure out a different option. As a matter of fact, my car is in the shop -- my transmission is bad. As soon as I get the car back, I'll try to see if I can run a diagnostic on the transmission and see if it's gonna be covered.

The policy information we have shows you inquired about whether your door handle was covered. It is not. the policy is really there to help with mechanical breakdowns and door handles are not covered.
The good news is that the policy does cover components in your transmission. If you are having problems with that, please let us know. Remember, with one phone call we can get the vehicle towed in, activate your rental car benefits and get that covered repair handled quickly and professionally. We are here to help. We had an incident eight months into having the policy, and ProtectMyCar took care of it immediately. It was a major incident which was well in excess of what I pay in premiums a year. I'm happy with them and should we have any problems in the future, I'm sure that they will do the right thing again.

It is hard to know how important this coverage can be until you have an incident like you described. It really gives you a great sense of relief to know that you have professionals handling those problems efficiently and professionally. That is what we mean by good peace of mind.

ProtectMyCar.com worked with me and made payments affordable for me. Their process in filing the claim was easy and they fulfilled their obligations in all claims that has been given to them with the exception of two. (1) There was a claim that they did not cover and it wasn't explained to us upfront. (2) I tried to use their road assistance but the representative did not tell whoever was in-charge that I was in need of getting a tow. I did not receive a call from them until 10 o'clock the next morning. That was a major issue because anything could've happen late at night during that time. Their representative did apologize for that though. Other than that, they're a right asset to have.

I was very dissatisfied when I tried to use the warranty for the first time. When my husband brought the car to where he was going to have it fixed, they found a loophole to make him pay out-of-pocket. It was bad and we felt really taken. I don't know whose fault it was, but I believe that it was a joint effort. I wanted to cancel it but we didn't. We always owned cars and were always going to need protection, and I don't know if I would use ProtectMyCar.com again. I didn't feel I was being helped. I spoke to a man and he was bad with me. He was horrible. We were left alone and we're still covered under them. It was not an easy thing and we took money out of our own pocket which was something I was told I wouldn't be doing.

Overall experience is bad. They still ain’t reimburse me for the rental. I had to go through a whole lot of problem finding out what place they wanted me to take it to to get it fixed. And I've been calling about four times trying to find out when they're going to reimburse me for my rental fee and I still got no answer on that yet. Every time I call, they kept me getting to fax the information. I faxed the rental agreement to them five times and every time, they give me another number to fax because they didn't get it.

We are also glad to have helped you so much with the power steering repair and ignition repair. We look forward to helping you again when you need us.

Protect My Car gave me free oil change a couple of weeks ago. The guy in the place that I took my car to almost wasn’t going to take the free oil change. The car dealership did not want to release my vehicle because they got stating that I have to pay a hundred dollars deductible but in my warranty, there was no deductible. So before Protect My Car go and start giving information, they need to make sure to read the customer policy first. I was a little bit ticked off about that because then I had to get a hold of the claims department again and try to do the legwork myself. It's frustrating when you don't have a car and then go to pick up your car and then another delay due to that reason. Other than that, they are good. It was hard at first to get through to someone during claim submission but once I did, they follow through.

It is true that some repair shops are harder to deal with than others, but as you said, we did get the job done for you. We are glad you got such a positive result.

I live on Social Security and ProtectMyCar was more affordable for me than other auto warranty providers. The payments for the purchase is easy as they take the money out every month. I’ve no problems. Submitting a claim was easy as well. I talked to the representatives and they were pretty straightforward and knowledgeable. I had a problem with my car and ProtectMyCar took care of it. I had a good experience and I would recommend them to anybody.

We are very proud to help folks on Social Security and limited income with special rates without limiting coverage available under the policy. It really is all part of not just doing things right, but doing the right thing for each person.

Submitting a claim to ProtectMyCar is very good and when I need them for towing, they always show up. They say they cover a lot so I went with them. But honestly, they don’t cover that much and every time I go, they say, “It's not covered.” It has to be my own payment. My mechanic told me it was not good but I was in already and I just have one more payment and one extra year a little later. And I keep the warranty because you never know.

ProtectMyCar called me and explained what they had to offer. I thought their price was fair with what they had to offer. Other companies would put brand new motor in if they go out. ProtectMyCar said they'd replace the motor for the same value which was okay with me so I went along with them. There was no problem making the payment for purchasing the extended auto warranty. I've never filed claims yet but I have something coming up. I have a little trouble with my AC and I don't know what's wrong with it. I was going to call ProtectMyCar but they were telling me they're changing over to some other company but it's the same people.

I called the 800 number from ProtectMyCar because I wanted to take my car in and have something checked. I was trying to get an understanding of the best method to do and if it is covered by the company. Because when I purchased the policy, I expected that all electrical is to be covered because that's what we had talked about. But it's misleading since not all of the electrical is covered. I was told to go online and take my car, make a call and see if they were a dealership that was covered. I haven't had the opportunity to do that. However, I thought the guy could have been a little bit more helpful.

I've been looking at different car warranties and I got ProtectMyCar to see what it's about so I'd understand it. I figured I'll have it up until 100 thousand miles.

You are right. You have made a good decision to protect yourself with this policy for five years or up to 100 thousand miles on your vehicle, whichever comes first. When you have any problems with your car, one phone call gets the help you need, from towing and rental car benefits to quick and efficient payment of the covered repair right on the spot. I got a flyer in the mail about ProtectMyCar and the specialist from ProtectMyCar sound very genuine and trustworthy. I got some information about ProtectMyCar and then decided to purchase the warranty. Every payment is difficult but I paid. I just pay, try to keep the car in good shape and good condition, and so I have no complaints.

When ProtectMyCar called me, the lady I spoke to was really helpful and nice. But I've never received any paperwork from them. I don't know what the warranty includes, like do I get a discount if I had to rent a car when somebody smashed into mine, but their coverage sounded good.

The post office tracking information shows that the policy was delivered November 3. We have today e-mailed a copy of the policy to you and sent another one by regular mail.

I have two cars covered with ProtectMyCar. My first claim went okay; the second time however, they told me that they weren't covering the damage so I wasn't happy. But then they lowered the rate and it's good that I'm still covered. I'd definitely recommend them.

I had two claims submitted to ProtectMyCar. The first one was good but the second time I had to pay more. They told me that it didn't cover tax. I called and a woman told me that that shouldn't have happened and to call in first next time to make sure. I did not get my money back. I'm disappointed in having to pay extra but otherwise, everything else was fine. They worked with me to make my payments affordable.

In case something major happens to my car, I don't want to have to come up something for my car so I got ProtectMyCar. Submitting a claim sometimes is a little bit difficult. Sometimes you can't trust the mechanic when they say, "This is wrong." That's where ProtectMyCar comes in and makes sure that's the problem. So far, I am all right and I don't have any problems.

ProtectMyCar sales rep was good. He was like all salespeople that want to sell you something. At first, it started off much higher than my current rate and then it went down because I was going to say no and go shopping around for a better offer. Then he offered me $39 per month so that made me get the warranty, and it was also good that the deductible is only $50. So far, I haven’t had to use it.

I have a 2006 Mitsubishi that's always had its regular maintenance and had things replaced on it. But things can happen so I wanted coverage for it. Hence, over a year ago now, I purchased an auto warranty from ProtectMyCar. The process was easy - I just paid the down payment, then subsequent premium payments are deducted out of my bank account. I've never had to make any claims from them since getting the warranty but at this point, I'd recommend ProtectMyCar.

I went with ProtectMyCar because it sounded like a nice deal. The one claim that I submitted with them, I went to the dealership and the dealership called them. They said they didn’t cover it.

As your vehicle ages and more miles are added it will be more and more likely that future repairs will be required. As comprehensive as the policy is, it is far more likely that future repairs will be to covered components. When that occurs and we are able to help you with those repairs, you will be very glad you had the foresight to protect yourself with this coverage. Again, thank you for your comments.

I pay $90 something to ProtectMyCar and it's easy because they take it from my checking account every month. One time I called to see if they were the company that I was with the warranty and they were very nice and good to answer questions. I haven't used them even though I've been with them for four years now. I have always had all my cars with extended warranty because I don't know much of mechanics and don't want to be taken by a mechanic when I go there. I take care of my cars and don't want to be left in the middle of the street.

I was initially skeptical about ProtectMyCar.com but they made me comfortable by answering a lot of my questions and reassuring me with some documents. It was not too difficult to make payments. There were just times when my credit card information changed because of receiving a new debit card and I tried getting back on track to make sure everything was updated. The warranty gives me peace of mind day to day in case something happens to me and I need to submit a claim form. I know that I can take it into the dealership and have to pay whatever initial fee but I'm protected by it and it would be awesome.

I needed to have something in case I have a breakdown so I decided to go with ProtectMyCar. Submitting claim over the phone and making payments in purchasing my extended warranty were fairly easy. The rep was very pleasant. It took us a long time to get the payment to go through Ohio, but it worked out in the end in my behalf. Also, the payments for my account was a little hard at first but then they broke it down to where I can afford it and made it better for me. I also used one of their maintenance perks. I went into one of the car stores and they did everything they had to do because I needed water to go to my radiator. Overall, I had a good experience with them and I'd recommend them to a friend.

We do work hard to make sure the policy is both effective and easy on the budget. We are very glad that we were able to help you with your budget and repairs and look forward to doing so again when you need us.

The reps from ProtectMyCar who assisted me were good. However, I didn't like the fact that my tech package is not covered. When my Bluetooth stopped working and I tried to get it fixed, it wasn't covered. I was like, "That doesn't make any sense." They told me everything was covered. Therefore, there's a need to be a little more detailed - if something like that important is not to be covered, that should be mentioned.

We want you to know right up front and in writing exactly what is covered with no hidden or confusing terms. Some components are not covered and for a very good reason. If we covered every single component of your vehicle, the cost of the policy could easily be three or four times what you are paying for it. Most people would be unable to afford such coverage. We cover the components that are most likely to break down and for the most part are the costliest to repair.
The purpose of the policy is to pay the cost of covered repairs less the deductible. No policy, no matter who issues it, will cover 100% of a vehicle. As your vehicle ages and more miles are added it will be more and more likely that future repairs will be required. As comprehensive as the policy is, it is far more likely that future repairs will be to covered components. When that occurs and we are able to help you with those repairs, you will be very glad you had the foresight to protect yourself with this coverage.

I went with ProtectMyCar because they provided the protection that I was looking for. We submitted all our claims over the phone and it seemed extremely easy. I've had difficulties on the three times I've used Protect My Car. Twice I had difficulties getting a hold of somebody on a Saturday for towing and a question about repair. They're not readily available. But other than that, I had the guy from BMW call in for a repair and they fixed it right away. It's been fairly beaten.

I purchased an extended car warranty from ProtectMyCar for my son's car and they were very good. The car wasn't new so I needed another coverage for it. The reps were very nice and answered all of my questions. And, I'm happy with my experience with them.

You are right. Having protection on not so new cars really does protect you and your family. With towing and rental car benefits included, not to mention a small deductible for all covered repairs, it really makes sense, gives you good peace of mind, and really protects your budget.

It's been almost a year now since I purchased a warranty from ProtectMyCar. However, they still haven't sent me a card, although I told them to send it to me. I need the card to use them. Additionally, they still take my money which is close to $200 each month. I am very unhappy and am ready to cancel. I don't think ProtectMyCar is a legit company. They're like shambles and I'd rather go with a solid company even if I have to pay more.

I've been with ProtectMyCar for about three years and when we once had an issue with the car's water pump, they replaced it. When I file a claim, it’s still $100 to get in the garage and have them fix it. I just wish that the insurance wasn't so expensive.

We do try very hard to make the policies affordable for every budget. After all, people on a tight budget need the protection the most. We hope that the $650 discount we provided you helped make the policy much more affordable for your budget.

The overall claims process with ProtectMyCar was difficult because a lot of stuff were not clear such as what's covered and what's not, but it was a decent experience when I submitted the claim. They also worked with me when it comes to making payments for the warranty.

I used ProtectMyCar.com once. The only issue that I have is when I first used it. They want to put my Freon back into my air conditioning. And they made me pay for it. I paid more than my deductible. They fixed everything else on my truck. They just didn't want to cover my air conditioner fluids.

Although you are correct that the policy only covers mechanical breakdown and not fluid replacements, we did waive your deductible to help you even more with the repair. We were glad to have helped you in this way.

The place that I would take my truck to would call ProtectMyCar in, and all I do is show them the proof that I have a claim number. They then go right off the bat, and I haven't had any problems with them.

When I purchased from ProtectMyCar, they used to be called Precision Auto. I got a phone call from them and I wanted to try it out. I also have their road assistance, they also give me a rental car for 7 days up to $210. But I’ve never used it. The only problem I have with them is that I’ve called in a claim for 2 or 3 times since I had them and two out of three they told me they would not cover it and I understand because the part was not under my policy. But when the transmission went out, they were giving me a hard time to take care of it.
At the beginning they were giving me the runaround, asking me more documentation as per car service and all that to make sure everything is not my fault. And even after I did that, they were trying to tell me they would not cover because there was something with the old that Nissan should have been doing, they haven’t done that so they would not be able to cover the transmission at that point.
I told them I don’t know what they guys are talking about because I went to Nissan, I took my car for oil change and everything to Nissan. I scheduled an appointment within that time and I don’t know what Nissan does but I took my car for services. And then I talked to different people. The first time they didn’t approve the claim. They said they would not cover and then after that, they came and said they would cover it. But it wasn’t an easy process at all. I felt like they were trying to find loopholes not to take care of it. That’s how I feel to be honest.

First of all, thank you for having been a policy holder since August, 2013. That really does mean a lot to us.
When we received the report on your transmission and the service records, it was apparent that you had never had any service done on the transmission. The policy requires that you do required regular maintenance in order for the coverage to help you with repairs.
Rather than trying NOT to cover your repair, we found a way of covering the repair even though you had neglected to have proper maintenance done on the transmission. While we could have denied the claim on that basis, we chose to do the right thing. We actually paid out over $3,000 to help you with the repair, the towing and the rental car. That was nearly twice what you had paid in at that time in premiums.
We hope that these facts help you understand just how much help you have received and how committed we are to assisting you and all of our policy holders.

The auto warranty provider I had before didn’t really do what they said they would. They were good on holding up their end on the client. But on the other hand, there were certain things that they said they would cover and they didn’t so I dropped them and I ended up getting rid of the car that I had. It was near on getting on up that mileage and I was like, “Things are gonna start breaking down here soon.” So I shopped around and first saw ProtectMyCar. I browsed through their protection plans then I got them. They worked to make my payments more affordable. And even when they were in my card a couple of times, they still had, it came back, but I never made it to the bank. Then they called and gave me time to get my money in the bank and make my payments. I've used them for a tire sensor and transmission which were covered in the plan. Overall it was a pretty good experience with them.

We do make the plans affordable for the people who need them most, folks on a budget, and work hard to make the premiums easy for every budget. It is all part of doing the right thing, not just doing things right.

When the engine had been going out in my car ProtectMyCar wanted to see its records. I understood they want to see records of maintaining the car as far as oil change and stuff but they said that I had to go to to a reputable place and have an experienced technician work on the car. I'm a BMW master technician and I feel that I have more than enough qualifications to do oil changes on the car. And I do keep the receipts when I did the oil change. So it went back and forth for a little bit and they finally said, "Well, that would be okay". The other problem I had was they didn't want to cover you when you've got to change the oil, coolant and some fluids which I didn't understand because I deal with extended warranty companies all the time and most of them cover fluids because you're going to lose fluids whenever you're doing a good job like that. So on that aspect, some things could be better.
And then the transmission went out in it a little later. At first they said they were going to deny the claim because the service had never been done and I had to contact GM, talk to them and have them fax over paper stating all the services were due. Then it showed up on my end that the service was done when we bought the car, the car had 113,000 miles on it when I first purchased contract with them.
In my opinion services that are done prior to me getting the contract should essentially be null and void. Like if the service is due on 100,000 and I didn't get the contract till 115,000, they can't hold me responsible for what should have been done at 100,000 because that was before my contract even started with them. But eventually, they ended up covering it because I have the letter from GM stating that the service was done ahead of time and they were able to finish. Overall, ProtectMyCar haven't been bad. It's just a small thing that I wasn't happy with.

It would seem from your comments that you were not happy with the questions claims asked of you and your mechanic about the prior maintenance done on your vehicle. We hope you do not feel you were in any way singled out in asking about the maintenance on your vehicle. It is both responsible and professional to make these inquiries and is as much for your protection as it is to determine the complete scope of the repair and claim. There have been times when customers have paid mechanics and repair shops for maintenance services that were not performed completely or not at all. This is in no way a comment on the repairs shop you use but is standard practice to insure that our customer’s best interests are looked after. Now that the complete record is in our file, we will not have to ask about those records again.

I use ProtectMyCar's maintenance and rental services all the time. I just call in and there'd be no problem. I simply bring my car to the dealership and their staff calls ProtectMyCar to file a claim for me. They always had a good response and got everything settled. I would recommend them.

I had some trouble last time with our car due to transmission. It was down for 32 days before I got it fixed because of the parts. I had trouble with them going back and forth about the parts so we had to rent a car for 32 days. But other than my last experience, it has been good. I've been satisfied with ProtectMyCar. They've been timely as much as they could be. Although the mechanic had to argue with them about my air conditioner because the compressor went out. They ended up replacing it, but the mechanic had my vehicle a couple of days longer than he would have had to until the replacement was done.

A review of the repair shows that the only question we had was correctly invoicing the repair costs. It did take the shop a day to get the correct invoice to us and we promptly issued payment in full. We so apologize for any inconvenience this caused you.

I only had one claim with ProtectMyCar since I've been with them all this time and I wasn't very happy. Something happened to my Chrysler 300, I took it to a shop and once they found out what was wrong, they called ProtectMyCar and it took forever to okay it and so I told them, "I need to get my car back this afternoon." They said, "Well, what you wanna do? You have an account with us." So I said, "Just fix it and whatever bill, put it on my account and then I'll come. When you get it ready, call and I'll sign for it."
Then just a couple hours after that, someone from the company called me and told me, "We were gonna take care of it but you know the law - Don't let them put nothing on your account because you have extended warranty." I said, "I can't wait all day and a half on you guys in making up your mind what you wanna do." I paid them all on time every month so I was very dissatisfied with it. I had a few other things that happened. Then the dealership told me, "Your extended warranty should cover it. Don't worry about it." They fixed it. I'll write them a check for that. They didn't treat me right and I wasn't happy. I don't like them. I'll wait until the contract expires and then I'll move on up somewhere else. I won't recommend it to anyone.

A review of your claims history shows that we paid out $272 for an alternator repair on 2-7-14 and $295 for your fan motor repair on 2-20-15. Your last repair was to the water outlet housing. We received your call at 12:30 in the afternoon letting us know that you were taking the car in for service. We made three calls to the shop requesting the estimate and diagnosis and kept you up to date on our efforts. We finally received that estimate at 3:30 pm. That is not an overly long time for the shop to make sure of the diagnosis and the proper repair. We understand you were in a hurry, and that you went ahead and paid for the repair yourself. However, we were not the cause of the 3 hour delay. Remember, the policy includes rental car benefits to help you with any future time crunch. Just let us know so we can help you with those needs in the future.

ProtectMyCar sent me something in the mail and I decided to go with them because they have the interest in me and my vehicle. It was a good way to start. I've had no problems submitting a claim with them. I take my truck to Ford and they have done my front seat and other things. My claim worked out in the end. It just took a while to get everything going. I couldn't get people from ProtectMyCar to call me back. They said my mechanic had to submit the claim but when he submitted it, it took three or four days for them to even contact my mechanic back. I found out later after everything has been done that they were supposed to provide me with a rental car. It was four days without my vehicle but I didn't know that at the time. Nobody talked to my mechanic. But in the end, it got paid for, and that's all I cared about.

We do, in fact, provide rental car benefits as part of your coverage as explained in the policy booklet. Please do not hesitate to request that assistance when you need it as part of your covered repair. We are more than happy to help you with that as well.
